Dacor Range Model DOP36P86DLS Error Codes

CODE: F0
PROBLEM: Shorted Or Jammed Input Device This failure will appear if a shorted or jammed input device is defective. Possible causes include shorted wires or a defective membrane switch.

CODE: F1
PROBLEM: Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit” ERC Self-Diagnostic circuitry has detected a failure in the bake/broil system. Any portion of the ERC, relay board, touch pad, heating elements and related wiring may be at fault.
How to diagnose/repair potential cause:
Step 1: Disconnect membrane from ERC. If an F-1 alarm is not activated within 30 seconds, check membrane function test points with an OHM meter. (refer to page 20 of the Diagnostic Test Manual) If the membrane test switch fails, replace membrane. If membrane test is good, continue to step 2.
Step 2: At ERC check for 24 VDC between J2 pins 1 and 3 for upper/single ovens or J5 pins 7 and 10 for lower ovens (when lower oven is not in a cooking/clean mode) **Note: F-1 must be showing in the ERC/Clock Display. I you read 24 VDC at those test points, replace ERC

CODE: F2
PROBLEM: Alarm Heating Mode High Temperature Is activated when the ERC senses a runaway heat condition or when the temperature exceeds “runaway limits”. The ERC will beep until the cancel or another function is selected. If the alarm repeats the F2 alarm check the oven sensor and wiring after first checking for a stuck relay. If alarm goes away verify the oven will complete a clean cycle without any type of failure.

CODE: F3
PROBLEM: Alarm Shorted Oven Sensor Occurs when the ERC senses a short circuit in the oven temperature sensor for 16 temperature conversions in a row. F-3 will appear in the digits and a beeping will be heard. If the alarm does not go away after pressing the cancel key check the sensor and wiring. **Important Note: This test will only be performed while a cooking operation is being attempted. The F3 alarm will not be displayed in the time of day mode.

CODE: F4
PROBLEM: Alarm Open Oven Sensor “F4” will be displayed along with a beeping if the ERC determines an open oven temperature sensor circuit for 16 consecutive oven temperature conversions. **Important note: This test will only be performed while a cooking operation is being attempted. The F4 message will not be displayed in the time of day mode. **Important note: If the oven sensor is open the bake modes cannot be activated. The controls will be non-responsive. Look for this failure, as at first appearance you may suspect the ERC or selector instead of an open sensor. A strange number may also appear in this failure mode.

CODE: F5
PROBLEM: ERC self-diagnostic failure Replace ERC.

CODE: F6
PROBLEM: Alarm EEPROM Checksum Error The brain of this oven (so to speak) operates a series of software commands. These commands control the various features and functions of the oven. A numerical value has been assigned to each function or operation. The numerical values can be added up - this is the check sum operation. Every time the system is powered up and after each clean cycle the system performs a check sum and compares the value to the value programmed into the software. (stored in memory.) An EEPROM check sum error or F-6 alarm occurs when the values differ. Only the time of day and timer operation will operate. If you receive a F-6 alarm replace the ERC.

CODE: F7
PROBLEM: Alarm Door Lock Enabled Above Temperature “F7” will appear in the digits and a beeping will be heard if a failure in the clean lock/ phase circuitry is detected for 16 seconds in a row. Check the door lock switches and door adjustments.

CODE: F8
PROBLEM: Alarm Door Locking Switch Occurs when operating the door lock motor if the motor runs for two minutes without seeing the phase switch change positions. This failure will normally occur only when a clean mode is started. If it occurs check the door switches and wiring.

For the second time in 7 years our Dacor ERD 48 Range has failed us. Just in time for our New Years Day dinner. Neither of the two ovens will heat. We are now encountering the exact same problem. We spent $1000 the first time replacing the board. We cannot afford to do it twice.

I went to put something in the cabinet at the top of my built-in wall oven and noticed the cabinet door was warm. Then, I noticed the heat was coming from the top of the oven at the control panel. I am afraid of a fire breaking out in the cabinet now. The oven is less than a year old. We just remodeled our kitchen and installed the ovens in May 2012 and this is just June.

I purchased a 30 Dacor dual fuel range and matching hood in 2004. I paid $4009 for the range and $948 for the hood. The range and hood have been nothing but problems. I wrote to Dacor in April 2009 detailing the problems with the range with service history dating back to 2006. Problems include overheating when cleaning which is a safety risk, replacement of cooling fan, ignitor assay, part # 92309 membrane, and replacement of relay board in 2007, 2009 and again December of 2011. I attempted to purchase a Dacor extended service agreement in January 2009 but was declined due to the ranges past history and its age. I recently found this site which indicates that other consumers have had similar problems with Dacor products. Dacor has lost me as a customer as I will never buy another Dacor product! I have been disappointed and frustrated with their lack of response and support. I finally purchased a GE service contract which has helped absorb some of the cost of ongoing repairs. The overhead lighting has long since gone out in the hood. I was told the hood needs to be disassembled to replace the lights. Dacor should step up and support its products. When most people put out $4000 for a range, they expect to get a quality product that will last 15-20 years. With Dacor, this has definitely not been the case!

I have a 4 year old Dacor Renaissance 36 in gas range. The thermostat is broken, the self-clean cycle doesnt work due to a broken lock and the oven indicator light stopped working about 2 years ago. Pros: It is an attractive oven with the knobs that light up blue when on and the burners all work fine but that is it! The technician told me ALL parts I need are on backorder due to Dacor being bought out by Samsung 2 years ago and COVID related delays. He also told me there is no ETA on those parts and said it could be an unknown amount of months. So now I dont have an oven for an unknown amount of time. This is unacceptable. I was sharing my frustrations with a friend who recommended I post this on Dacor Applicances Facebook page. He thought I would get an immediate helpful response. So I did. It was taken down not more than 3 minutes after it was posted! They never even reached out. Pretty poor company service. I will never buy Dacor anything again. Even when the oven was working ok - it never kept good heat and the self-clean cycle never cleaned well - there was lots of grease residue left behind. This is a poor quality company all around. Believe the negative reviews. If I could give negative stars, I would.

We remodeled our kitchen and decided to use the range as the focal point of the room. The decision to go with a Dacor ER36DSCH dual fuel range over comparable Wolf and Viking models as well as a Dacor heating drawer was made, a decision I have regretted since. Our unit keeps blowing the baking element ($200) which routinely fails at the most inopportune times. To date I have replaced four and the Mrs. recently informed me that the oven is once again not heating properly. Thankfully, I am competent enough to diagnosis and repair it myself and did a thorough operational inspection and cleaning which revealed the broil element ($180) had also gone bad this time. My wife hates this oven and unfortunately it sits right smack in the middle of our beautiful kitchen to remind us of the bad decision we made. In fact, we are now at the point where we are considering replacing it and sending it to a scrap yard where it belongs. Avoid this brand or it will cost you.

Our 10 year old Dacor microwave finally passed on, so I ordered this model, as it fits into the existing trim kit. It is basically the same model I had before, without all the "digital" screen display and the "tune" that played when the food was done. It still does multiple steps at different percentages and, instead of hitting time, percentage and start, you select time, and repeatedly press the "power setting" button multiple times to arrive at your desired percentage (it steps down from 100%), then press start. It's also an 1100 watt unit where our previous one was 1200 watts. I don't notice any difference. It has a "cobalt" blue display. There are many "preset" buttons for things like Pizza, Popcorn, etc. Love our new Dacor!

Dacor representative has been helpful in responding to my complaint and has sent new oven racks which I greatly appreciate. I was able to send them pictures of the damaged racks. I want to clarify that the warranty that was sold to me by an upscale appliance center was NOT a Dacor extended warranty and I believe that this caused my issues to slip thru the cracks. Nothing can be done about the interior that seems to have a film of sorts on it, short of replacing, but I am grateful that Dacor customer service went out of the way to correct the problem with the racks.

I purchased a single wall oven in 2008 and 30 days out of warranty, the oven broke. Service required two service calls to fix the door magnets. A third visit was required as the oven codes shut down the unit. The last two service calls have been with the cooling fan. Now that the fan was replaced, the relay board needs replacement, too. I have spent $650 in service alone, which is separate from the cost of parts. There’s no help from customer service; in fact, the rep was downright rude. I will never purchase this brand again and I have told anyone who will listen not to purchase.

We moved into our home in 2012 and have had nothing but problems with our Dacor refrigerator (Dacor Model EF48DCBSS). Our issue is the drain pan heater AGAIN. This problem is, water that collects in the drain pan freezes and eventually builds up to a point where the fan motor starts hitting it, sounding like a helicopter landing in your kitchen! Weve had this problem repaired THREE times by TWO DIFFERENT repair companies to the tune of $1000. Both repair technicians said it was a design flaw and this problem would continue to happen regardless of how many icing kits were replaced. So a $7000 refrigerator will cost us $1000 a year to keep running?!?!?! After much research, its apparent we are not alone with this problem. We also had a Dacor microwave just STOP working (model #DMT2420S). It was only 8 years old. Our Dacor oven range (model #ER48DSCH) has two ovens and only one side retains the heat. The main side gets to about 300 degrees and then the temperature starts dropping. Here is the breakdown of costs for our so called high end appliances. Dual Fuel Range - $10000, refrigerator - $7000 (annual repairs of $1000), microwave - $500 (had to purchase new microwave $600). PLEASE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE AND DO NOT PURCHASE DACOR APPLIANCES. We have a refrigerator/freezer that we bought from Sears SIXTEEN years ago for $500. Still works like a charm! And thank God we have it, because it has had to be our backup for our $7000 Dacor.

Dacor Double Oven Model D0230 - I have had my oven since November 2011. I purchased an extended warranty at the time of buying the oven. Right after it was installed, I called and said they needed to come and adjust the temperature control. It was off at least 50 degrees. It never held the correct temperature. Since July, we have had to replace 2 relay boards, two other parts that should take care of erratic temperature. Then I noticed the gasket was turning black in the corner and my glass pack in the window was steaming up and not clearing. The extended warranty would not cover the glass replacement and I was charged $126. They said it was cosmetic, but this was so bad that I couldnt see through half the glass. The steam stained the glass and you could not clean it, because it was inside two pieces of glass. Do not buy a Dacor oven. In 38 months I have so many repairs that I have lost track.

I am very, very pleased to report that I was contacted by Dacor a day after I posted my review which addressed a second failed relay board in 7 years. A really helpful Customer Service Representative called me (not emailed) to discuss the issue in great detail. Within a matter of days, a local repair service had received the new part from Dacor and scheduled an appointment with me to come out and replace the defective part. Dacor covered both the part and the labor. Im really sorry that the oven needed a second major repair but I will say that Im impressed with Dacors resolution of this issue!

We purchased a Dacor 30 Heritage Gas range and installed it in early Oct 2020. Within a day a gas leak from the back of the range was identified by our gas contractor. Dacor repaired it quickly (12 hours). I was impressed (though concerned it already had an issue). In December 2020 I noticed that the oven indicator light was not coming on. I contacted customer service and despite indicating that there was a problem, was simply told what the light was for. Then, in February 2021 (under 5 months after installation) the oven stopped working. The service technician indicated it was an electrical issue and the gas would not ignite. It has now been over two weeks and we still do not have it repaired nor any indication of when it will be repaired. We spent $5200 on this range. I do not recommend Dacor.

I had an issue with the wall oven light on my Dacor Preference double oven.
I had an issue with the wall oven light on my Dacor Preference double oven. To make a long story short, after contacting Dacor directly, they made sure that the unit was fixed by providing the part directly to me and confirming that the local repair company would be willing to install it. The oven is 8 years old and in the end, what I spent seemed reasonable to get a fully functioning oven (membrane switch). They were prompt, personal and courteous in their response to me. I came away feeling that Dacor takes pride in their history and their products! They also cleared up some misconceptions that I had regarding the status of their company. Although it was frustrating to have an appliance not work properly, I feel that the customer service Dacor provides makes their company one worth sticking with. That makes a big difference in todays impersonal world.

Dacor double oven range turns off by itself while baking - Disappointed in Dacor, especially today. Thanksgiving 2016: baking turkey. Sill baking turkey. I dont know when the oven decided to switch off this time, but I have an uncooked turkey and guests waiting. The oven has done this before, but because it was new I thought it was user error. Nope, the damn oven mysteriously turns off on its own. Incredibly irritated with Dacor. The range hood we also purchased is a joke. We remodeled our kitchen 1 year ago and wanted quality appliances. Bad move. Save your money, folks. Save your money.UPDATED ON 03/10/2017: Dacor sent a company out to fix the broken new oven. Oven still cannot hold its temperature (It takes FOREVER to heat then loses its heat while still showing a high temp). This time I have a recording on what happens when the oven automatically switches off. Disappointing when we spent nearly $10,000 in Dacor appliances for a kitchen remodel. DACOR, please have a rep contact me!!! Still waiting to hear back!!!

We purchased a Dacor built-in refrigerator in 2011. After just 5 years the warning beeper came on. We learned that the main control panel - built by Whirlpool - was defective. We then learned that Dacor did not have any replacement part for this model. Our only alternative was the purchase a new refrigerator. Amazing!! Dacor reluctantly gave us a partial credit for a new (KitchenAid) model. However at the end of the day we are out of pocket over $2000 because Dacor built and sold a defective refrigerator with no ability to fix the problem. Very unsatisfactory handling of this situation.

Wow! I wish I had read this website before we built our house 3 years ago. I have a 5 burner Dacor cook-top that has been nothing but trouble since day one! I have 5 different appliance brands in my kitchen and the Dacor is the only one that has caused continuous problems. I was so mad at the repair man today I hung up on him (poor guy, I see now Dacor is the problem). The cook-top has exploded three times. ow when I say exploded, I am not joking at all. I mean the explosion blew the cook-top up and burners off, blew the cabinet doors underneath open, flames shot out and the house shook. One of the times, my one year old son was standing next to it. I was so upset I ran into the other room with him and sat on the floor and we both cried. It was terrifying! I have had a repair man here 6 times over the last 5-ish weeks (Yes, I didnt have a stove over Thanksgiving and I was the host; its not looking good for Christmas either and we have 4 kids). They have replaced, cleaned and fixed everything possible. They then pointed the finger numerous times at the propane company (which they now have determined it is not a propane problem for sure). Today the repair company called me (by the way, they have been constant contact with their Decor rep Rob about the problems) and said they are done. My expensive 3 year old cook top is not repairable. They have exhausted every possibility. They have been here 6 times and the propane company three times. I have a hole in my granite counter top cut specifically for the cook-top and am told that every cook-top is a different size so I do not know what I am going to do. I called Dacor today and asked to speak to someone who could help me to no avail. I then asked for someone (anyone) to call me back today. You guessed it. Theres been no call back. This is getting really old. How many weeks does this need to go on (dont answer that)? Another problem that I have just lived with is that the stove continually clicks for quite a while after you are cooking. I was told to clean it a certain way. I did that and it didnt work. The repair man did it; it didnt work. The repair man said something was loose inside and tightened it. It still didnt work. I guess I could live with the click. It is the explosions that I need fixed.

Updated on 02/23/2021: Its been several weeks since I first posted. The only reply that Ive received was an email via this site that requested information from me on my claims. The info was provided the same day. A week has gone by since I provide the information and I have yet to hear back from Dacor. Not even a were looking into your issue. What I did receive was a notice from Samsung (who has acquired Dacor) telling me that one of my service tickets has been cancelled. I dutifully called the listed number to get more information... only to be told that the Samsung customer service rep could not help me and that I needed to call Dacor. Ive tried to approach this matter with humor up to this point but I am out of patience. Given the price I paid for these products, I expected a premium customer experience... the experience I have received has been abysmal.Original Review: I did not think that a customer experience could be this AWFUL or that a vendor could seem to care less than Dacor cares about resolving my issues. After 5 months, the exhaust downdraft that we purchased still does not work and Dacor either does not respond or - when I can get someone on the phone - I get any number of standard excuses (parts shortages, Covid, port backlogs are delaying deliveries, the integration with Samsung, etc, etc). I am also missing basic parts such as shelves(!) that should have been installed during the original installation. The retail partner (Specialty Appliance) does not seem to have anymore luck in getting answers.

On 12-14-2011, I replaced the main relay board for $214.02. On 1-16-2012, I replaced main relay board again, and it is under warranty. On 2-3-12, I replaced upper oven temperature sensor for $32.09. We remodeled our kitchen less than 5 years ago. As we have owned restaurants in the past, we wanted commercial quality appliances. I was looking at Sub-Zero and Viking or Wolf. Unfortunately I took my Home Center convince me to purchase A Dacor package. That was a mistake. Even though these appliances cost as much as the those brands, the quality is not even close. After spending $22,000 on appliances I have quickly discovered that these appliances are junk. First the microwave began to arc and nearly caught fire. Even when they installed my cooktop. I noticed that the burners in the middle were marked incorrectly and the blue LED indicating the burners are on was burnt out. After only a few years, now my ovens are not working. And right before Thanksgiving I am without ovens. My old ovens were almost 50 years old and worked fine. These $6000 plus ovens are not even 5 years old and are down. I am kicking myself for not going with my original plan. If you are considering Dacor, I would not recommend.

I could have written every one of these negative reviews. Ive had all the same issues with my Dacor Epicure oven. Faulty computer panel, failed motor in the downdraft fan, oven not maintaining temperature (meaning NOTHING cooks correctly in this oven), burned out lower element and discolored interior. And let me add that the interior oven fan stays on for about half an hour after you turn off the oven. What purpose could that possibly serve???? Suffice it to say that this is a poorly made product by a company that has no desire for repeat customers. I am currently working with customer service to try to get my oven working for Thanksgiving, but I just dont have much hope after reading all of these similar issues. The oven, when not on Convection Roast or Con Bake, just using Bake will consistently turn itself off... Ive ruined many a meals, usually big ones: Turkey, Prime Rib(long cook time items). Two years ago, we redid our total kitchen at considerable expense. All of the appliances we replaced were made by Dacor. They included: 1) a 36-inch refrigerator model EF 36/wf; 2) a dual wall oven, model EO230SCH; 3) a gas cook top, Model RGC304; 4) a dishwasher, ModelEDWH24S and; 5) a range hood, ModelEH3012SCH. The problems started within a two months of installation. The refrigerator stopped running due to a relay failure and a compressor problem; both were replaced by Dacor at no cost to us. It was inconvenient but not costly. A short time later, the lower wall oven stopped working as well as the lights in both ovens. This required the replacement of the main control panel (control circuit board). Dacor paid to have it repaired. The clock does not keep accurate time and gains about an hour a day. We decided to leave it well enough alone and did not have it fixed. After the one-year warranty expired, the lower oven quit again. This time, it had to be removed from the wall and an exhaust fan in the lower oven was defective and had to be replaced. Dacor’s initial response was it was out of warranty, so it was up to me to cover repairs. They eventually agreed to supply the part (about $90) but we had to spend several hundred dollars to install. Now, the lower oven takes an extremely long time to heat up, and again we decided to leave it well enough alone. Recently, there was a loud flash in the vent hood; one of the bulbs apparently burned out. My wife tried to turn off the lights in the hood but the light switch apparently blew when the light went and could not turn them off. After a couple of burned fingers and a melted bulb removal tool, I managed to get the other bulb out. A call to Dacor got the usual out of warranty response. I called the local Dacor authorized service rep. He looked at the problem ($95) and said he would have to call Dacor. After he talked to Dacor, they called me and said they would send a replacement control board but would not pay for the service calls. The service company said the next service call would be $195. One light bulb burned out: cost $290. I suspect that every hood unit that Dacor made with this control board is also defective. We have had to replace the halogen bulbs with great regularity. We have halogen bulbs in our boat that have lasted at least 15 years. There was another complaint on this board that had a similar problem with the vent hood. He decided to fix it himself. He is an Electrical Engineer his comments are worth reading and speak to the inadequate design of this unit. It is a shame that the Dacor appliances appear to be near the bottom in terms of reliability. Consumer Reports that their gas cook tops appear to be the least reliable. It looks like I have something to look forward to. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Dacor to anyone. In fact, I would recommend that they not purchase any Dacor product that does not have a full multi-year warranty.

Dangerous condition! I purchased a Dacor 36 dual fuel range 5 years ago. I reported the issue to Dacor via email with no response from customer service. I believe the no response was an attempt by Dacor to distance themselves from their responsibility for this potentially dangerous condition. Specifics: When pre-heating the oven in convection/bake mode, if the oven door is opened before reaching the set pre-heat temperature, a ball of flame will explode up from the opened door. The ball of flame is basketball sized and has singed eyebrows and hair on several occasions. To reiterate - it is a ball of flame, not super-heated air that is the problem. As a result, after non-response from Dacor, we called a decor qualified repair technician who diagnosed the problem as a bad igniter. The igniter was replaced and the problem still exists. I fear that a small child may be severely burned by the engineering design fault.

I purchased most Dacor appliances when I built my home in 2015. Their induction cook top and dishwasher kept breaking down one by one. The first time the repair service was done well. Early 2019, their cooktop broken down again and I still have the half broken cook top for almost 4 month now. We have been emailing back and forth, firstly Dacor promised to mail me the parts, but then a different customer rep reached out saying I have to take the broken parts out and mail it back to them before they can send me the replacement parts. That means I would have to live without a cook top for a while. There is even no estimation when I will have it fixed!! Dacor dont value their customer and Im comfortable to say it is the worst product quality and service I have experienced in my lifetime. Never recommend it to anyone!!

The first F1 Error needed a new membrane repair for $470.00, after 4 years of service. Now, the same F1 error after the new membrane is only 13 and 1/2 months in service and it is now out of warranty. Customer service people are rude and unhelpful but when pressed, they said they might be willing to help after a service tech, which I have to pay for, diagnoses the problem.Even the Sears store people advise their customers not to buy Dacor products and that is sad because it is one of only 2 American made options. Dacor needs to step up their product engineering, commitment to quality and get rid of the rude phone people in Customer No Service. This is not the end of this experience but the only reason I am not junking the stove is because a comparable replacement is another 3000 bucks from another vendor which I cannot afford at this time. The irony of this is that the company clearly knows they have problems but when I asked if the replacement parts had been improved so the problems wont persist, I was told that no changes or modifications to the electronic brains had been made. How stupid is that! They are just asking for more problems with the parts they send you to fix what does not work.

Dacor dual fuel 30 inch range - First of all the look of the dacor is second to none in my opinion. The digital screen with blue lighting makes this a truly elegant part of any kitchen..... when it works. The range top itself worked flawlessly for me and the main burner was always more than enough. The problem with the range lies in the electronics. The unit has been in my home for over a year and has worked for less than a month total. An error code appeared when ever the oven gets hot. C33, C1, 0000, 1111, C11. Ive seen it all. I have had the main board replaced twice and my local repairman is on first name basis with even my dogs at this point. The final straw for me was when the oven door glass shattered while cooking and when dacor was contacted they said that happens. Im think Ill try Viking.....

Finally they agreed to send me a new refrigerator, and now after five months I am having a major problem with it, and have been trying for 3 hours to get a warranty authorization from them so I can have a repair man come out and stop a major leak that is now leaking into the condo below me. I am so disgusted with their products and their service that I really would never advise anyone purchasing a Dacor product. Five years ago we built a new house with a big open kitchen for entertaining and family. I like to cook. After talking to a kitchen designer and high end appliance dealer in San Antonio, TX, we decided to go 100% Dacor for the kitchen. What a nightmare! The oven was replaced within the first three months. Since then we have had two relay boards replaced (one within warranty, one not) and one thermostat replaced. When the oven is working, I like it very much. But it is a lot of trouble to get it fixed. The refrigerator defrosting until has gone out three times as well (once in warranty, twice not). Today the unit is not cooling at all. It is hard enough to find someone to service these units outside the big cities, so when we do find someone it takes days for them to get here to diagnose; days to receive parts; and days more to fix. I will never buy another Dacor product! I will say this, the Dacor headquarters have tried to help and even gave discounts on parts, but 5-year appliances should never have these many issues. Our last kitchen was 100% KitchenAid and we never had one problem with anything for 6 years!

I do have to pay the labor, but the part was what was expensive before. They did give me an explanation as to why this was happening - the hinges on the door wear out and the door doesnt shut properly so that heat escapes. Should this be happening with a stove that was this expensive? I dont think so, but I am happy with the customer service I received from Dacor this time.

We bought this oven and had it installed a month ago. Id love to love it, but unfortunately I dont even like it. Immediately after installation I noticed the touchpad for the bottom oven didnt work. I called Dacor and spent quite a bit of time while someone did the standard is the power on run through. I was told someone would have to call me back in the morning, at 9 am. The next day at 10 am having not heard a word, I called back. I was given the option to be called back (you wont lose your place, and our first rep...) Great! Nope. Four hours later still nothing. I called back again. Someone answered quickly and after a short call arranged for a service person to come out in a few days.Fast forward a few days and the serviceman arrives. Hes clearly never seen this kind of oven. He calls Dacor and talks to their troubleshooting department. They decide the motherboard is bad and reorder. Well, its been 10 days. *crickets*. There is no sense of urgency... In fact nobody even seems to care that my $7500.00 oven doesnt work and the microwave literally cant even pop popcorn. I would expect the company to rush delivery of the part. If need be replace the whole oven and figure out what is wrong with the motherboard on your own time. What I didnt expect is for literally everyone involved in the process of choosing and buying the appliance to not be able to find a solution. I give my new oven 1 star out of 10, because it looks nice. Id rather have an oven that doesnt have a smart feature and actually works. FAIL Dacor.

Im reading all these reviews and my story mirrors them all... I have actually contacted a lawyer and am considering either a lawsuit or going to small claims court because, at this point, its cheaper than continuing with repairs every other year. Has no one else considered a lawsuit under your states lemon law? Appliances are usually covered. I purchased the MORD230 wall oven in 2008... It was purchased as a second oven to my 6-burner Wolfe to cook a turkey or roast during the holidays. It has been used no more than 24 times... I have gone through 2 control panels and am now having glitches with the third. After doing a self clean recently the whole heating element blew - it will not heat at all. I am able to enter the temp but the oven just runs and runs and never heats. I have called Dacor furious for how many times this thing has broken in relation to how many its been used... They have offered parts at a reduced rate but I am not sinking another dollar in this oven on labor and parts only for it to break again. I asked for my money back and told them to come and get the piece of garbage they sold me. Do yourself a favor and buy a Wolfe... It works beautifully... My only problem was the cast iron grates rusted a bit recently... I called their customer service and was on the phone for no more than 5 minutes and they overnighted me a whole new set no questions asked! Dacor customer service has been a nightmare - so much back and forth... I tell everyone I know... DO NOT buy Dacor!!!

We bought the Dacor Wall Oven (ECS136SCH) in 2006 during a complete kitchen remodel. In 2009, the relay board was replaced twice. The first time, it was over $500 to replace. The second time, it was covered under the parts warranty when a terminal was bad. Now, I need another relay board and a new element which will cost over $700 to replace. For an oven that was originally over $3000, this is not acceptable, but what other choice do I have? The technician told me that Dacor has the worst mark up for replacement parts. I thought I had done my research and found that Dacor had a good product. I guess I was wrong.

Well, it’s now been FOUR month without a dishwasher. We have contacted customer service and asked for other options and were told there was nothing they could do! When following up we have left messages and had our calls not returned, as has our service company. I have waited on the phone 3 times 30 minutes to talk to someone, because they won’t call back. I rarely write reviews but when I found your site, I decided it was time to vent. I bought a 36 dual fuel, convection Epicure range in 1999. It was not a cheap oven and I was excited at the possibilities of having a 16,000 BTU broiler and large oven cavity to work with. Lets just say that excitement quickly wore off. Almost immediately after the range went out of warranty, the ignitors went bad and we also had to replace the control panel ($400 in repairs was a lot back then). After that, we continued to have ignitor problems and replaced them again. Finally, I just stopped doing it and lit them with my aim and flame. I never allow my children to cook on the stove because I am afraid they will be burned. Most recently, my broiler element, relay board and again more ignitor problems ($1,200 in repairs). Not to mention, the repairman had a terrible time trying to access all the areas and was at my house for 4 hours trying to do so. When the initial problems happened, I emailed, phoned, left message, etc. to no avail with customer service (I use that term loosely). This company is the worst. I have told everyone I know never to buy a Dacor anything. Next time, Ill buy a Wolf.

I have had my 30 inch Dacor Dual Fuel Range since 2002. In the past month, the oven door seems to be falling apart. I had to replace the oven door handle after the handle cracked in the spots on the right hand side where the screws go in. When I tried to screw the new handle in, I noticed that the front panel on the door is lifting away from the door. It is more separated on the right hand side which leads me to believe that it is the reason that the handle cracked on that side. As a result, the handle cannot be properly installed. The only way this can be repaired is to call someone in to do it and it will either have to be glued together or the whole door would need replacing. Reading these forums, Im worried that my oven problems are just beginning and I dont want to start sinking money into this oven. I purchased a Dacor as I believed it was a high quality product and that it would be worth the money and last a long time. This type of problem should not be occurring. I do not consider 10 years a long time for a product like this. My sister has had her Jenn Air oven for almost 20 years and it has no signs of wearing out.

I purchased a Dacor Renaissance range for our new home. What a waste of money. Though I have not had any major problems with the performance of the range yet, besides uneven baking, the design is not user-friendly. To begin with, the gas burners share a grate. So when cleaning, you have to remove the whole grate on one side. The controls for the burners & griddle are very hard to see & I have to bend over to see which burner Im turning on. The oven racks are a joke. The two glide racks are very bulky with sharp edges. It is difficult to change the heights or to remove them for cleaning purposes. Though there are three racks included, it is impossible to bake with all three in the oven.I have a GE Monogram that I had purchased two years ago for another home, and I love it The Renaissance & Monogram are similar in price, but I unfortunately, listened to the sales person & let them talk me into the Renaissance. I realized my mistake in buying a Dacor immediately & contacted the appliance store. Even though the Renaissance had not been used, they would only give me a token amount of money towards trading it in for a Monogram. So, I am stuck with a range that causes me to swear under my breath every time I use it. Dacor could learn a lot from GE.

Updated on 11/29/2018: Further to my recent review of my Dacor wall oven, I went to a high-end appliance store yesterday to research replacements for my microwave, oven, warming drawer installation (so, yay, I get to spend $13,000-plus to replace items I have had for only eight years). I cannot verify the accuracy of this, but the salesman explained the problem. For a period of time, Dacor and Viking used the same third-party supplier for their relay boards. Unbeknownst to the companies, the supplier substituted a part that was later discovered to be defective. Unfortunately, all replacement relay boards contain this part, so the problem will recur repeatedly, as many on this site have discovered. As bad as the cost of periodically replacing the board is, the unreliability of the oven is worse. As happened last time, mine works OK sometimes, burns everything other times, and struggles to get to the desired temperature other times. And because the behaviour is unpredictable, it cannot be reliably recreated when a repairman visits. I have had one email from Dacor and I responded with the information requested, then nothing. I suspect that they know they cannot fix the issue in a permanent way, so theyre just hoping all of us with this defective part will just go away. It looks like newer models that look like mine are still available, but I refuse to pay $5,000 on the off-chance that it has a better relay board. I am looking at Miele replacements.Original Review: I have had two Dacor wall oven, microwave, warming drawer installations. The first one was only a couple of years old when we moved, and Id had to replace the microwave, but I put it down to a power surge in the house after an outage. I have now had the same set in my new house since 2010. I have had to replace the microwave again, but not because of a power surge. It just stopped working. The oven has been a complete nightmare. The probe broke and although I had it repaired, it never worked properly, but the worse problem is that I am about to have to replace the electronic board for the SECOND TIME. When the problem occurs, the oven heats up to the setting but the element just stays on. I all but ruined an expensive cut of meat on the weekend – with company coming, no less – and just had to throw out a batch of muffins. I am considering tearing out the whole installation and getting another brand that doesnt destroy my food. It would probably be cheaper than having to fix the oven every year or two and replace the microwave periodically. These appliances are garbage.

Our Dacor wall oven (model MOH 1305) is the subject of my concern. Purchased with confidence in Dacor’s advertising in 2008. The oven has had multiple visits by a Dacor authorized repair company who along with a Dacor technician determined that the oven needed a relay board replacement. This relay board has been replaced twice and has failed after installation both times. The relay board provided by Dacor appears to be the problem. Each repair/service call costs approximately $300.00 with no guarantee that the next relay board will work. Our conversations with Dacor give us no satisfaction. Dacor now tells us that our “superior product” of 11 years is just too old. Additionally, they tell us that Dacor products are “superior products” that are designed to last somewhere between 10 to 15 years. There is no excuse for Dacor since the replacement relay boards they are sending us seem to be defective. Their excuse that we have an “old” oven is wrong since the problem is with their defective replacement parts. Beware consumers when thinking about purchasing Dacor products.

Our 30in Dacor double ovens are approximately 12 years old. I feel they operate adequately. However, not better than our much lower end appliances we previously owned. My main complaint is the self cleaning function. My old ovens self cleaning worked much better! With our Dacor ovens one must take out the racks and clean them by hand. This is very difficult and time consuming. I used the 3 hr option to clean my oven that was moderately dirty, mainly from cooking a prime rib over the holidays. After the 3 hr cleaning the oven was still very dirty with splatters and grease. Im now cleaning my oven again with a second 3 hr cleaning cycle. I know at the end of this second cycle I will need to do a lot more cleaning by hand! I hope Dacor has improved their inadequate self cleaning feature. If it hasnt been improved, I really cant recommend Dacor ovens.

Regarding my previous complaint on 3/21/12, I had a Dacor fridge, model #EF42BDCBSS, installed in my brand new kitchen in March 2008 (Ive a kitchen full of Dacor). It subsequently had a problem with the drip pan in March 2009 and was fixed on warranty. Come March 2012, the fridge was again diagnosed with the same problem. The technician told me there had been a design problem, but after three re-designs, it was remedied and should have no further problems once the new part was installed. The bill, $658 and more than half, was for the part! Of course, I was livid because the fridge had been fixed in 2009 and was now off warranty. When I expressed myself originally, I was simply venting about the price of the repair without hope of a remedy. James at Dacor customer service called me promptly that next morning and left a message! We subsequently talked and he immediately got in touch with my local appliance service center. He not only worked out with them refunding my deposit for the part but also ordered two other parts that were necessary in order to fix the problem. The outcome? They fixed my fridge at no charge to me for parts or labor, and all I had to pay was the original trip and diagnosis charge. I cant begin to tell you how extremely happy and grateful I am about this. Thank you, James, for such terrific follow-through and thank you Dacor for being a top-notch business who stands behind your products!

I purchased a Dacor double wall oven in May 2011 at a reduced price from a secondary market. Due to cosmetic defects, it wasnt sold by an authorized Dacor dealer. I bought it at what I thought was a fair price, considering the cosmetic defects. When our home was completed in November 2011, we installed the oven but found the oven would not heat up to the set temperature. I was told by the company I bought it from that it would be eligible to be covered under the manufacturers warranty. I called Dacor and was told that since I didnt buy it from an authorized dealer, they would not cover it under their warranty even though I had it under one year. Since I had to give Dacor the serial number when I called it in, they now have a permanent record to that end. I have had no oven because I cannot pay to have it repaired.

I have the Dacor 30 all gas range in my house and it is the best. The grates take up the whole top surface of the stove area, so I have a ton of room to cook on. Basically, I can fit 4 giant pots on the stove at the same time, so Im ready anytime a chili cookout might break out. This is also super convenient during tamale season and soup season because I can put up to 4 giant stockpots on the stove simultaneously. In the event that I spill, its easy to remove the grates and give the surface a nice wipe up. As far as the oven, I totally rule the holiday season because I can fit up to 3 full size 18x36 catering sheets in at the same time, so basically, I can cook 4 dozen or more cookies in one shot, leaving me tons more time with family and friends than if I was baking 1 sheet at a time. Thank you Dacor!

The first time it cost me $600.00. 6wks later it was replaced for free. Now the oven is having the same problem. I hope Dacor makes me as happy as Judy.

Add me to the Dacor hate list. The $4300 oven installed in 2000 is now a whopping $6400. My motherboard #2 is broken and the glass on the door cracked which to me is a safety issue. This is a two adult, no kid household so figure. We use the oven about 7 times a year. My Dacor rangetop and hydraulic exhaust have both required service as well.

This is our second Dacor wall oven. It is approximately 6 yrs old. December 22/14, I was cooking a Christmas turkey as per usual, and I noticed an odd smell about 40 mins. into cooking. Checking the turkey, the temp. was at 500 degrees and on broil. I burned holes in my oven mitts on the roaster taking it out. Even though I set the temp. at 325 convection roast, it reset itself to 500 broil. Nothing works except the clock. Called repair guy after the holidays. Said it is a control panel behind the keypad area. Ordered the part. Been waiting 4 months now for this part. Now, no Easter dinner either. After reading these complaints, I am worried that this part replacement may not be the end of it.

We bought our new Dacor CPS 130S wall oven when we built a new house in 04.
We bought our new Dacor CPS 130S wall oven when we built a new house in 04. First we had to replace the lower heating element. Now the touchpad (Dacor part # 13290S) is malfunctioning. The + button will not respond to touch. Called Dacor and was told that the needed part number was discontinued in 2009. I double-checked with a distribution center in San Antonio, TX, who confirmed that the part is no longer available. They referred me back to Dacor on the chance that Dacor would have one somewhere. Dacors suggested solution was that we need to buy an updated completely new oven, which would cost us several more thousand dollars. So here we sit with a perfectly good oven minus a touchpad to control it correctly. So much for buying reliable, U.S. made products and receiving good service. I thought there existed a federal law that mandates a company must make parts available for 10 years if they discontinue the product?

Dacor EO227SCH - double wall oven. Installed all Dacor appliances when we did a kitchen renovation in 2008. Stove top, Micro Wave and Warming Drawer each have been excellent. Ovens have been a nightmare. Dacor would not honor warranty 7 days after it expired. Had no less than a dozen service calls in first 3 years. Ovens conveniently have problems around holidays. Example: lower oven quit working two days before this Thanksgiving - last week! Paid a high price to get Dacor and have paid thousands and spent countless hours on service calls since. Am totally dissatisfied with Dacor products and the companys refusal to stand behind its product. I tell everyone who is contemplating Dacor not to. Did it today with a couple who signed a contract for a $1M home in N Atlanta. Builder specified Dacor and I strongly advised against it. Homebuilder is now looking at other options.

I purchased my first Dacor appliances in 1991, built a second house in 2005 and again purchased Dacor double ovens and a cooktop. Loved them! Remodeled my current home and again purchased the double ovens and a cooktop. The double oven, DTO230FS, which was installed in November 2015, 4 years ago, stopped working. I was roasting asparagus and we smelled what seemed to be burning plastic. The oven is used about 4 times a month, I have never used the self cleaning feature therefore it is surprising that it broke. The repairman said that the relay board was bad and will need to order the part. He estimates that it will be $600 to fix it. Sad that I need to incur the repair cost of an oven that is only 4 years old.

I spent a lot of money buying a Dacor double wall oven because it was supposed to be top of the line and dependable. Now, the circuit board needs to be replaced and the oven is just 5 years old! This seems absolutely ridiculous for an oven this young to have such a major problem! I am very upset about all the money I am going to have to spend to fix it. Ive never, ever had any oven problems with other brands like this in my life. We remodeled our kitchen and I thought I was getting something better and now I realize that this brand is not living up to my expectations at all! I am using an authorized Dacor repair company and they told me that they are seeing lots of problems with this brand. I do not recommend this oven to anyone.

Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked
Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked within nine months. Dacor said it was a defect in the design and would fix it for free. I sold the house in 2001 but the range was still not fixed. I moved to Nevada and bought a new rsd30 range and same thing happened within six months. It took a year to get it fixed at their expense. This bevel also cracked again for the second time in March 2011. Their response to this was to offer me a new bevel for $180 and I would have to pay for the installation. I declined the offer. The bevel is still cracked at this time. At the same time, I bought a PMOR30 over the range microwave and the front handle broke at least four times. And finally, the whole thing broke down and was not repairable. In Aug. 2008, I contacted Dacor and they agreed to replace it with a new DMT2420 over the counter microwave for half the price ($390). Last week, this one blew up on me. Sparks were coming out through the side and a big hole in the removable shield and burn damage to the wall of the unit. I do not believe this unit is repairable. I contacted Michael at Dacor. He apologized and said that theres nothing they can do about it as it is out of warranty but they will look into it. What I want at this point is my money back that I paid for ($390) and for them to pick up the unit and get it out of my house. I will never buy another Dacor product again.

We renovated our kitchen and as part of this had installed the new Dacor Modernist Fridge and Freezer columns at a VERY hefty price tag. We were going to get a subzero and changed our minds when we saw these products - the styling, design and function looked so much better than Sub-Zero, despite the higher price tag. Well, fast forward about 8 months and we dont have a functioning fridge. It stopped cooling out of nowhere. We had to throw everything away. After FINALLY getting a repair person to the house, they told me that it was because the fridge had run out of gas (freon or whatever the coolant is thats used). When asked how that happened they said they didnt know, but that they couldnt repair it as they needed a part from Dacor. A WEEK later, they finally got the part and came back to repair the fridge. 4-5 hours later it still was not repaired and they said they needed another part. Its been almost two weeks since then and the part has still not arrived. We had a BlueStar range installed when redoing the kitchen and when we had a problem with that, they overnighted the part, so that they could fix it right away. This is not the case here - the customer service has been absolutely horrendous and Ferguson Appliances (where I bought the fridge from) has been at their wits end with this (I cant say enough about how wonderful Ferguson has been to deal with). This has been a nightmare. Now the repair place wont even schedule a repair date because they dont want to lose the time again in case the part doesnt show up again... DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE. I should have known better not to buy a Samsung (yes, Samsung bought Dacor a few years ago and these products are glorified Samsung units).

I purchased my Dacor Distinctive #DT0127 wall oven in 2015 and have been very pleased with the product to date. However after running a self-clean cycle the oven does not work which was a surprise given the fact that I had previously done self-cleans before without any problems. I immediately contacted Dacor customer service who were amazing! The CSR that I spoke with kindly extended my warranty until 2018 even though I had not registered my oven with them upon purchasing it. He also arranged a service call for me that would be covered under the extended warranty. I am very impressed with the companys attention to service as I really love my oven. Even though I experienced this issue I would still recommend this product.

Follow-up to March 31 posting: In 2001, we installed two Dacor wall ovens and a gas (converted to propane) cook top. The cook top has been problem free and the brushed stainless steel surface still looks like new. Both ovens however, at that time, were problematic during the two year-warranty period. Knowledgeable service people were hard to come by in our region. After numerous service calls, Dacor replaced one of my wall ovens at or around the three-year mark (outside of the warranty period). That particular unit had only one minor issue since then and Dacor replaced the appropriate part free of charge. The other original unit has been problematic since the beginning. The latest problem being the internal light going on/off for no reason and then a lack of response to light button on the front control panel.Long story short, I posted my frustration here on March 31 and was contacted by a Dacor rep within two days. He asked me for detailed info on the problem and located the unit in their files. Some of the past repairs were known to Dacor, but others were not since we just did them ourselves. I was asked to send a detailed description of the current issue along with pictures, which I did. Based on Dacors analysis or the pictures and the exhibited problem, they sent me, free of charge, a control panel membrane, a door gasket and a set of door hinges. We installed these items and the unit is now in full working order. In looking back over the past years of problems with this particular unit, its clear to me the issues all stemmed from an original broken door hinge. It was compounded by the fact that the service and repair folks at the time considered the door gap to be within tolerance and we did not discover the broken hinge until the door glass shattered and we needed to replace it, which required removing the door. Anyway, at this stage in the game, I am very pleased with Dacors response. It is my impression that they are trying much, much harder to stand behind their products. So, while just a short time ago I would have never considered another Dacor product, when the time comes, they would still be on my list of considered vendors because when these ovens work, they work great.

We had our whole kitchen renovated and purchased Dacor appliances through Caplans Appliances. We purchased the appliances in the summer of 2019 and they were shipped shortly after. Since our kitchen was still under construction the appliances sat in our home. They were installed the second week of November. Two months ago, I woke up to a sucking noise from the dishwasher. The dishwasher had a code of LC. We removed the custom kick plate to realize that there was water damage. Dacor has been contacted on numerous occasions regarding this and the dishwasher continues to leak. We have had 5 service calls to house and the problem persists. The seal has been replaced twice in a 2 week period. The repair company HARGTA gives us a window and does not show up at that time causing me to sit around all day waiting for them and then some days having to cancel work. Dacor customer service continues to say the Regional Tech Manager will be the one to provide the resolution and we have not heard from them yet. The reviews on here clearly indicate that the dishwasher leaks. We are risking damaging our floors which were put in at the same of our renovation. Looking for a resolution ASAP. To those considering Dacor appliances do your research.

Dacor 27 electric double oven unreliability. Almost from first use the Dacor electric double oven has been plagued with problems including but not limited to door not locking when self cleaning, not self cleaning, door not unlocking upon completion of self cleaning, and filter issues. Since purchased in 2013 the top oven has been used between 75 and 100 times; the bottom oven less than 25 times. Yesterday the oven died. First error message U43 relay board. Second U60 cooling fan. Worse when the control board responsive/froze circuit breakers were needed to turn oven off.Repair estimate is $1600 plus tax. I intend to replace the overpriced and unreliable Dacor with a Kitchen Aide at approximately 13 the price based on customer and Consumer Reports reviews plus a new one year guarantee. I do not recommend the Dacor double oven if you are a serious cook and/or frequent user. Brand name and styling are less important than product reliability and useful life especially when you can purchase the former for two-thirds less money.

We purchased this range after remodeling our kitchen. We opted for the Dacor because of the deep oven that the other high end ovens did not have. I am an avid baker so this was a plus. After a year and half the oven stopped working, it was not getting hot. Thankfully is was still under warranty and it was repaired. The technician determined it was the oven control thermostat that was not working. Fast forward two years and again the same problem, along with the right front burner now also not working. And wouldnt you know it, the warranty is expired. Another technician came out again and stated to fixed the two problems it would be approx $250.00 just for labor and not including parts. CRAZY INSANE!!! If we would have known all the problems and we would have purchased either a Wolf, a Thermador or even a Monogram. How can so many issues and problems be happening with an range that is only 4 years old? Especially one that costs over $6000. It has to be a lemon or poorly manufactured. Ive contacted Dacor and was told they need to review my file to make a determination on what they want to do. REALLY, you dont need to be a rocket scientist to know there is a problem. Our Dacor oven is 2 years old and the oven door stopped closing all the way, rending it inoperable. The company is now owned by Samsung. I tried to schedule a service call to repair/replace the door hinges. This should be a simple process. However, because I purchased the oven through a designer and Dacor dealer, I had to track down the order verification to demonstrate that I am the original owner of the oven (this is in addition to providing a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase). It took several days to resolve this issue with my designer and rep who sold me the oven. Then, I scheduled the service call on the phone only to receive an email hours later advising me that the service call had been cancelled. No explanation was provided. After rescheduling the service call several times only to have each call cancelled, something finally worked with Samsungs tracking system and the service call actually took place.Dacor is the Mercedes of ovens and I expect a service call to be a little more expensive. However, other providers of luxury products facilitate the product support to minimize customer aggravation. Samsung needs to work on its product support and customer service. I would not purchase a Dacor product again since there are several other manufacturers that provide comparable luxury kitchen appliances with much strong customer support.

I could not get a straight answer from the person I was talking to. He just told me that if the repairman says I need a new touch pad, then I need to get one. Don’t purchase Dacor appliance - it’s been worst purchase experience ever and I am extremely disappointed. After six months since I purchased the Dacor built-in refrigerator, Dacor couldn’t even ship the proper installation parts and my refrigerator is still not working. Problems:1. Their high end $11K Dacor built-in refrigerator cannot even be installed. Wasted five months communicating with both Dacor and the retailer AppliancesConnection. After five months they were still able to ship the proper missing installation parts. Over the past five months, I talked to six different team members in Dacor customer support team, escalated to customer support lead and also talked to their regional technical manager, none of them is able to solve my problem and ship the right installation parts.a) Their process is extremely messy. Their customer support team had no idea about installation requirement of the refrigerator. And the request from their customer support team is declined by their internal Parts department again and again, only to find out installation parts should’ve shipped by the retailer. This is extremely confusing now and no one in the team seems to understand the right process.b) After Dacor acquired by Samsung, their manufacturing process is very messy and parts are extremely confusing. There’s one version of required installation parts in Dacor manual and one version of Samsung parts in the Parts guide, and no one in the team seems to understand the difference and how to map from one to another (they insist on sending me Samsung parts instead, claiming they’re compatible). I am now the expert myself to understand all their parts and able to identify many problems in their manual.2. As a high end brand, Dacor doesn’t seem to care about their customer at all. As a customer who did kitchen remodeling and had no refrigerator to use for five months, no one in the team seems to care about their brand or their customers. With this huge gap in the process, no one thinks about the problem from their customer’s perspective or shared empathy with me. Dacor as a brand is really bad and I am extremely disappointed in both their product and services.

We had trouble with our Dacor dishwasher from the beginning. When you close the door, it wouldnt engage unless you close the door a number of times. It became progressively worse to the point where we brought out another repairperson - this time a certified Dacor repairperson. He got the washer going for a few minutes, only to not being able to complete a full cycle. We received an initial $89.95 bill, and during another contact we would have to pay an additional $400-plus for a motherboard and labor. We contacted Dacor, along with the contractor, a number of times. We had the history of this dishwasher which is causing problems.Dacor would not make it good, even though we spent more than $10,000 on other Dacor kitchen products. It simply doesnt make sense to me to not fix a sub-par dishwasher to keep a customer happy. Now, we are angry and will go on a number of sites to advertise our plight. To this point weve not had problems, but given the opportunity to redo the purchases wed go with a popular brand, i.e., LG, GE, Panasonic. They are more flexible, parts are available, and all three combined would probably cost less than one of these. In fairness, I personally feel the same about our other high end appliances, Wolf, Viking, Sub-Zero and Asko. None beats our former appliances. Maybe its just about show.

The Dacor dishwasher had problems engaging and activating the cycle. We finally had enough and purchased a Bosch dishwasher even though the rest of our kitchen is Dacor. The new Dacor was $1600+ and the reviews on all their dishwashers since 2007 are one out of five stars. Dacor knows there is a problem and wont rectify it with the consumer. An amiable young man called from Dacor. He stated he would help me on any future problem with the other appliances. Why irritate the ** out of Dacor consumers when your company has had a history of irate consumers, specifically regarding the dishwasher. This certainly doesnt increase sales and only angers the base.

We purchased our second Dacor microwave. When received there was a defect on the stainless front panel which we reported to Dacor (now owned by Samsung). They took claim information and we were referred to their service provider. A Samsung inspector subsequently visited our home and got approval from his superior. We were told the panel had been ordered. Two follow up calls revealed that there was a problem and we were referred back to Dacor only to learn the claim was overruled and denied. A subsequent appeal was made to no avail. Our warning is that Dacor repairs are very expensive and they do not back up their service warranties. Buyer beware.

Dacor Fuel Range broken door - My Dacor is by now 13 years old. I see from other reviews that the problems I have with my range have not been addressed in newer models--the same problems exist. When I received my Dacor, there was a crack in the front, above the door. It was small, and Id just had a baby so I let it go. I noticed that the door did not close either, and because I did not address it within a year, Im out of luck. But youd think that making an oven with a door that closes snug would be a top priority. It only closes properly when in cleaning mode. My oven window became brown and I cannot clean it. Its a shame that these things are messed up because the convection seems to work wonderful and the oven is fairly attractive. If the door closed all the way. Im getting ready to consider a new oven. Wont be a Dacor.

Purchased Dacor Wall Oven EO130SCH in 2011. Rarely used, so never used the self cleaning function. Occasionally wipe with microfiber cloth, eco-friendly cleaners like vinegar and Bon Ami and elbow grease. First problem in 2017 when the oven would not heat up, just before I had guests coming to stay with us. Dacor repair personnel could not make it out for a few weeks, so repaired the issue myself by resetting the thermostat with some creativity and effort. Next problem in 2018 with a U43 relay board error. Can use it for a while if turn off the power to the fuse box for a while, but in 2019 it also started making a clicking noise, and basically not functioning right before I needed it for a party. Cant replace the relay board (which costs more than $300 for the part itself) without pulling out the oven. But why is the relay board failing so quickly? Is there a fan cooling issue? Have talked to Dacor. Poorly designed, poor quality. I would never recommend Dacor.

I contacted James ** at Dacor. His attitude was excellent and he resolved my problem (deteriorating dishwasher racks) beyond my expectations. He was compassionate and understanding every step of the way. James followed through on his promises in a swift and efficient manner. I would recommend Dacor and James ** to anyone. He is an asset to Dacor and should be recognized for his professionalism.

We had a ongoing problem with a wall oven that was purchased in 2006. The most recent complaint was a oven glide rack that was not working. After complaining about it to one of their staff, they listened to our frustration and are sending us a new rack at no charge. My hats off to the great people at Dacor. Thanks for your understanding. Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range and Microwave - Where to begin? Perhaps at the end is best. Dacor appliances are shoddy, unreliable, outrageously expensive to repair and there is no customer support. That about covers it. We bought the above noted pair during our kitchen renovations 8 years ago. We thought that Dacor was a premium brand that would give us long trouble free service. How wrong we were! The only thing Premium about them is the price. 4 years ago, the microwave door refused to latch. Thanks to YouTube, I found out how to remove the door backing and found that the plastic part that comprised the latch was broken. Dacor was contacted - they no longer had the part. Try the open market I was told. I managed to jury rig a repair by using a wooden shim. 3 years ago, the range packed it in. Another repair - this time I was told it was the circuit board that had failed and which was replaced to the tune of $700 and I was cautioned that the second circuit board was not working very well - the interior light would not illuminate and the blue lights indicating a lit burner didnt work, and I should change it too. The smaller circuit board was costed out at $400. Last week, the door latch motor failed and the range began to beep incessantly. Now the oven cannot be used and repair costs quoted over the phone were in the 1000$ range. Thats it for us. Dacor is junk and belongs where its headed - the junkyard. Dont buy Dacor. Live and learn I guess.
