Dacor Range Model HGPR48CR-NG Error Codes

CODE: F0
PROBLEM: Shorted Or Jammed Input Device This failure will appear if a shorted or jammed input device is defective. Possible causes include shorted wires or a defective membrane switch.

CODE: F1
PROBLEM: Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit” ERC Self-Diagnostic circuitry has detected a failure in the bake/broil system. Any portion of the ERC, relay board, touch pad, heating elements and related wiring may be at fault.
How to diagnose/repair potential cause:
Step 1: Disconnect membrane from ERC. If an F-1 alarm is not activated within 30 seconds, check membrane function test points with an OHM meter. (refer to page 20 of the Diagnostic Test Manual) If the membrane test switch fails, replace membrane. If membrane test is good, continue to step 2.
Step 2: At ERC check for 24 VDC between J2 pins 1 and 3 for upper/single ovens or J5 pins 7 and 10 for lower ovens (when lower oven is not in a cooking/clean mode) **Note: F-1 must be showing in the ERC/Clock Display. I you read 24 VDC at those test points, replace ERC

CODE: F2
PROBLEM: Alarm Heating Mode High Temperature Is activated when the ERC senses a runaway heat condition or when the temperature exceeds “runaway limits”. The ERC will beep until the cancel or another function is selected. If the alarm repeats the F2 alarm check the oven sensor and wiring after first checking for a stuck relay. If alarm goes away verify the oven will complete a clean cycle without any type of failure.

CODE: F3
PROBLEM: Alarm Shorted Oven Sensor Occurs when the ERC senses a short circuit in the oven temperature sensor for 16 temperature conversions in a row. F-3 will appear in the digits and a beeping will be heard. If the alarm does not go away after pressing the cancel key check the sensor and wiring. **Important Note: This test will only be performed while a cooking operation is being attempted. The F3 alarm will not be displayed in the time of day mode.

CODE: F4
PROBLEM: Alarm Open Oven Sensor “F4” will be displayed along with a beeping if the ERC determines an open oven temperature sensor circuit for 16 consecutive oven temperature conversions. **Important note: This test will only be performed while a cooking operation is being attempted. The F4 message will not be displayed in the time of day mode. **Important note: If the oven sensor is open the bake modes cannot be activated. The controls will be non-responsive. Look for this failure, as at first appearance you may suspect the ERC or selector instead of an open sensor. A strange number may also appear in this failure mode.

CODE: F5
PROBLEM: ERC self-diagnostic failure Replace ERC.

CODE: F6
PROBLEM: Alarm EEPROM Checksum Error The brain of this oven (so to speak) operates a series of software commands. These commands control the various features and functions of the oven. A numerical value has been assigned to each function or operation. The numerical values can be added up - this is the check sum operation. Every time the system is powered up and after each clean cycle the system performs a check sum and compares the value to the value programmed into the software. (stored in memory.) An EEPROM check sum error or F-6 alarm occurs when the values differ. Only the time of day and timer operation will operate. If you receive a F-6 alarm replace the ERC.

CODE: F7
PROBLEM: Alarm Door Lock Enabled Above Temperature “F7” will appear in the digits and a beeping will be heard if a failure in the clean lock/ phase circuitry is detected for 16 seconds in a row. Check the door lock switches and door adjustments.

CODE: F8
PROBLEM: Alarm Door Locking Switch Occurs when operating the door lock motor if the motor runs for two minutes without seeing the phase switch change positions. This failure will normally occur only when a clean mode is started. If it occurs check the door switches and wiring.

This posting is in response to my original post regarding the Drain Pan heater issue in our Dacor refrigerator. My refrigerator was repaired on 10/16/2012 at no charge to me. My refrigerator is out of warranty, but Dacor stepped up and repaired the issue. The customer service I received was second to none, and I would like to thank James ** for that. Great customer service instills confidence in your product! Thank you!

I purchased Dacor Brand cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The dishwasher quit working after four weeks. Price tag for the dishwasher 2,800. Three weeks later Pacific Sales in Corona will not take the dishwasher back and replace with a new one. Dacor is struggling to provide a service tech in my area to look at the machine and honor the warranty. In the mean time I am shelling out money for Dawn dishwashing liquid and washing the dishes by hand. Complete JOKE. If you want a brand that will not stand behind their product... purchase Dacor. Want a salesperson who will talk up a brand but the Store washes their hands of the transaction after payment, shop Pacific Sales in Corona Ca.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2007 and bought the High-end Dacor side by side fridge and oven set. The fridge has been down FIVE times in 8 years and we have replaced elements, etc on the stove at 5 years. Horribly built and product support has been near non-existent, even during warranty period. I would not recommend this product line to anyone. If it was just one appliance or the other OR if the product support was there, I would not be as upset! We spent over $15,000 and have had nothing but headaches and lost $s on repairs and food that was thrown away.

Years ago I purchased the Dacor Double Oven over a Thermador because the Thermador had a ridiculously long pre-heat time. The Dacor has performed reasonably well as a oven particularly in convection-bake mode. But over time, components started failing and repair parts were hard to find, unavailable or ridiculously overpriced. I am an an engineer with DIY skills honed from years working with high tech food manufacturing equipment and controls including ovens. In recent years, I have needed to replace a relay board, the main control board, hinges two times, and most recently the hinge receptacles. I have also replaced an inner panel on a door assembly. Just think what such repairs would have cost for an average consumer. I understand the parts can fail, but Dacor has shown little regard for consumers in my opinion. They have done very little to maintain an inventory of repair parts. Basically their message is that the part is now obsolete and unavailable. Thats some answer when the price of a new double oven is multiple thousands. Recently, the hinges on my upper oven failed again. As they failed, their failure caused increased wear on the hinge receptacles. Soon the receptacles failed as well. I was able to find hinges at a ridiculously high price but the receptacles were unavailable anywhere. I contacted a several parts suppliers who told me that they had no idea when the parts would be available. Moreover at least two of the suppliers mentioned that they had a backlog of orders for the receptacles - one had a backlog of over thirty. Yikes!. At that point I contacted Dacor customer service and asked what could I do to get the part. Answer: The part is unavailable and we have no estimate on when it will be available. I tried to escalate my request and got nowhere. Finally after many hours of online searching, I found one set of the hinge receptacles at a price 4X last years price. Lastly as I replaced the receptacles today, I realized that the mounting screws only hold one portion of the U shaped mount. If the screws were longer, the receptacle would be less prone to twisting and wear. Be aware that Dacor was sold to Samsung a few years back. Based on my experience, I could never recommend Dacor. Caveat Emptor!

We purchased a DACOR double wall oven (MOH2275) in April 2012. We are waiting for service to arrive for the fourth time since we purchased the oven. I find this unacceptable. We have had 2 other ovens in the last 30 years and they did not need any service. In general I have found appliances to be of such reliability that I dont get extended warranties. DACOR gave a 3 year warranty on this oven and now I know why. Hopefully this service will fix it for a long period of time.On the positive side, the oven really works well. It is so well insulated that we feel very little heat coming off it. One serious flaw its overall operation is the reheating of the oven. If I bake something at 350 degrees and then want to reset the over to 450 degrees, the oven does not go into preheat mode and does not let you know when you reach the required temperature. I am hopeful this will last awhile and not have to be replaced for what we paid for it.

We have a new (one year old) home with Dacor appliances. The microwave oven went on the blink the first month but was repaired by a factory approved repairman. Something to do with the computer. Now the double oven will not hold a temperature. We set the oven at 420 and it only goes to 360 even though the readout shows 420. We just decided to skip the repair process and bought a new Wolf oven. This is our second Dacor within the past two years and both have had the same problem. Dont waste your money.

We are in the process of remodeling our house including an entire new kitchen that we cant wait to finish to invite people over and show. HOWEVER, the cook top already has a light burned and finally the cover of it ended up falling as I was wiping down the stove (very softly by the way because I like to treat my appliances really nice). We have had this stove for less than a year I havent even made the last payment and it is already with a light burned out. REALLY? My husband spent countless hours researching the best appliances and decided to get this one and to come to find out that it is not good it is a complete disappointment. I am sooo upset. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!! Save yourself the hassle that we are now going to go through trying to get a hold of someone on the phone and see what they will do if anything. I bought it from AJ Madison.

I wish I had read all these reviews of Dacor products before being duped into paying for a high end wall oven. As many others have mentioned, the electronic panel design is faulty. I paid $1000 to have it replaced once. Now it is broken again and the alarm beeps constantly. The reply from their service rep was that they havent had any recalls of this product (in other words, no ones house has burned down yet). He also admits that he wouldnt buy a Dacor oven unless he had money to burn. Well, my money has already burned and so have I.

I bought a 30 Dacor Double Oven (EO230SCH), 36 cooktop, warming drawer and matching convection microwave. Well over $10k. The microwave has been replaced as it died early within the first year while cooking popcorn - nearly started a fire in the kitchen... However the cooktop igniter died at 4 years and now the wall oven is on its third control board in years 3, 4 and 5. Nothing is under warranty and they want nothing to do with me now. The replacement oven controls cost ~$400 each plus installation. So after all this expense, I have invested $1,200 more in replacement parts and the cooktop needs an aim & flame to light. Total crap. Im going to replace all of this and will never go back to Dacor. I took the time to write this so that others will not waste their time with what I have to assume is the worst quality in the industry. Please dont waste your money.

I bought a Dacor Epicure 48 range in 2003. It has never worked correctly. I read many other complaints on this same range. I had the burners replaced and I still have to light them with a match each time I turn them on. The oven temperatures were never correct. Nothing bakes properly even following their directions. It bakes very uneven. The hinges are sprung/broken (as the doors are too heavy for the lightweight hinge they use). I have had numerous service calls over the years and still not a good oven or repair. I too am very disappointed in the fact that this product is a lemon and they will not replace it.

In 2008, I purchased my dream home and had the opportunity to build my kitchen from scratch. At the time, I shopped Viking, Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Dacor. I made an appointment to tour the Dacor showroom and was blown away by the aesthetics and advertised performance of their line. I made the decision to fill my kitchen with Dacor products: dishwasher (ED24SCH), dual range (ER48DSCH), range hood (EH4818SCH), fridge, and microwave (DMT2420). To date, the fridge is the only appliance that has not malfunctioned. Within the first month, the microwave blew a fuse (covered by warranty). Within the first 6 months, the dishwashers motherboard blew (also covered by warranty).Since the 1-year warranties have expired, the range hoods electrical unit malfunctioned and ceased working properly ($400-plus in repair). The motherboard on the dishwasher has gone out twice ($1200-plus). The dishwasher rack has completely rusted and the wheels have fallen off ($800 to replace). The lights on my oven dial is out and the glass bottom inside the oven that covers the heating element has cracked (nothing has been spilled or dropped). In fact, I only use that side for Thanksgiving. I am extremely bummed (to say the least) and I feel that the products that I was sold do not live up to the quality level that they advertise. Additionally, the replacement parts are obscenely expensive, and at this time it makes more sense to replace the units rather than dump more money into a pit.

Purchased a Dacor freezer. Freezer does not come with outer panel. Understandably, because you can choose to put your own custom panel on or order one from Dacor. Found out Dacor was bought by Samsung, a few years ago. So I decided to order a Stainless steel door from Dacor. One of Dacors reps suggested I order from J@J international. I placed order and two days later they called back saying they cannot ship door to me UPS nor FedEx will ship it. They refunded my money, so I reordered from someone else. Got ss panel toe kick and handle. Opened box only to find out no hardware, brackets ss trim for sides screws and so forth. I assumed mounting hardware would be with door. So began the part search for parts. Come to find out Samsung changed Dacors part #s. Vendors who sell the parts could not come up with parts or told me not available. Reliable parts agent told me this. I was told they should have come with freezer. Meanwhile called back Dacor to someone who specializes in dealing with these issues. She took over 45 minutes of my time giving me the impression she was gonna resolve the issue. She finally said we have the parts and inferred that I must have not talked to reliable parts. I assured her I did. She continued to refute what I told her. I have been right at two months trying to get freezer door installed. I called an Appliance dealer in Salisbury Md. to get assistance. He told me when Samsung bought Dacor he dropped line. I now see why. It has been the worst experience I have had with a company that has absolutely done nothing but appear to be concerned and say they are sorry but do nothing. It looks like it will be another 750.00 to get a couple little trims and brackets and a few screws. If I had it to do over I would never have gone down this road. This has been a two month old nightmare that is still going on. Best advice I can give is steer clear of Dacor/Samsung. Was going to buy matching column refrigerator. Not now.

Purchased Dacor Renaissance wall oven in July 2015, Model RNO130S. After less than a year and a half, the cooking temperature began to fail. For instance, set to bake at 425 degrees, the oven would appear to heat properly, but tried and true recipes would be pasty and uncooked at the expected time. I inserted an oven thermometer inside to test and found an erratic pattern of oven heating up properly to 425 but then sometimes dropping back to about 350 during cook time and refusing to ever reach 425 again. The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house
The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house in 2010. I would never buy any Dacor product again. I will have to look for a replacement for the gas cooktop range. The Dacor gas cooktop is OK except that EVERY time you turn on a burner, one or two of other igniters start clicking and wont stop until you find which one it is (not always the same) and turn it on and off. Please heed this and all the other warnings from the choir. DO NOT BUY DACOR!It is all very expensive junk. The oven temperatures fluctuate while baking. The oven range unit is out of warranty. So our home warranty AHS covered it but they kept sending out the same grubby slob who never fixed the problem but did charge us for the $75.00 service fee. They replaced the oven controller and the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. We have a full size oven that we cannot use! Then F1 beeping nonstop, and we have to turn power off to stop it. Now, out of the blue the downdraft fan just started extending and retracting over and over again with no way to stop it without going back to the electrical panel and flipping the breaker that it is wired into. That leaves us with no kitchen and no bathroom plugs! I hung up after 35 minutes on hold. I was just trying to find a certified technician in Bend, OR. Piss Poor Products and Very poor customer service.

I built my home in 2003 and installed a Dacor 30 wall oven. After several years of poor performance, we started to get an error message. Dacor suggested replacing a board for $300. That didnt work so they had me replace another $300 board. That didnt work so they told me I needed a new front panel and it would run about $1,000. That board is on back order and they dont have a replacement date. Thinking that its bad business to sink $1600 into a troubled product that has terrible reviews on the internet. We found out that once you go with Dacor, you need to stay with Dacor due to an unusual, nonstandard size.Thinking that Dacor has improved their product we ordered a brand new $3,000 Dacor RO130 30 wall oven. It arrived promptly and I removed the defective $3,000 oven and put in the brand new $3,000 Dacor RO130 oven. What I got was a dead brick. The Dacor customer service has been awful, and will not allow me to talk to anyone in their technical side. The oven is getting power. Dacor customer service wouldnt help me unless I could prove that the unit was getting power. So I had to get an electrician in to prove that I had properly wired the 4 cords that came off the original defective Dacor wall oven. Get service help? No chance. I live 100 miles from Seattle and no one wants to work on Dacor. So here I sit with a $3,000 brick. No service and Dacor has no clue on how they will service this wonderful $3,000 RO130 30 wall oven that is an out of box failure. I dont see how a company that has this bad of a product, two generations of defective ovens, bad customer service, reluctance from the repair community to work on their products will be in business much longer. If you are considering Dacor appliances, consider the problems that I am having. The nonstandard size of their ovens will lock you into future purchases to replace their products that dont last 10 years.

Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked
Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked within nine months. Dacor said it was a defect in the design and would fix it for free. I sold the house in 2001 but the range was still not fixed. I moved to Nevada and bought a new rsd30 range and same thing happened within six months. It took a year to get it fixed at their expense. This bevel also cracked again for the second time in March 2011. Their response to this was to offer me a new bevel for $180 and I would have to pay for the installation. I declined the offer. The bevel is still cracked at this time. At the same time, I bought a PMOR30 over the range microwave and the front handle broke at least four times. And finally, the whole thing broke down and was not repairable. In Aug. 2008, I contacted Dacor and they agreed to replace it with a new DMT2420 over the counter microwave for half the price ($390). Last week, this one blew up on me. Sparks were coming out through the side and a big hole in the removable shield and burn damage to the wall of the unit. I do not believe this unit is repairable. I contacted Michael at Dacor. He apologized and said that theres nothing they can do about it as it is out of warranty but they will look into it. What I want at this point is my money back that I paid for ($390) and for them to pick up the unit and get it out of my house. I will never buy another Dacor product again.

Our new ranch has three Dacor microwaves, only one of which has had a few months of use. The others have very limited use. To this point weve not had problems, but given the opportunity to redo the purchases wed go with a popular brand, i.e., LG, GE, Panasonic. They are more flexible, parts are available, and all three combined would probably cost less than one of these. The electronics on the first two induction burners failed within six months which was covered under warranty. The second two went three weeks after the warranty and we had to argue with Dacor to cover them otherwise it is a $1400 repair job. From day one whenever you open the oven door the controls and heat shut off. Sometimes it turns back on when you close the door. As for the downdraft, it worked fine until 10 weeks ago when while closing, the cover lip hit a wooden spoon that had been lying flat near the edge. There is no safety feature and the motor continued to try and close the fan. The unit would not respond and would not re-open. The spoon had to be broken to get it out. If this was a childs finger you would have had to call 911. We now have a repair bill of over $350 and are still waiting for 2 months for Dacor to send a part. We will never buy this brand again.

Weve had to replace the freezer heating element (twice) because it fails and then the freezer ices up causing the system to stop cooling. This past week the fan began making a noise and so we had repairmen come out (yet again). Technician confirmed that the pan motor (fan in freezer) has failed. NO PART is available... I couldnt believe that parts wouldnt be available for a $10,000 high-end refrigerator that was purchased new only ten years old. I called Dacor directly and asked them how long they make parts available after they retire a model. The Dacor representative told me that they make parts available for 7 years. 7 YEAR PART AVAILABILITY ON AN APPLIANCE THAT SHOULD LAST 15-20 YEARS??? RUN AWAY FROM DACOR. Obviously customer service is low on their priority list. We will be replacing our gorgeous $10,000 ten-year old Dacor refrigerator/freezer (now a boat anchor) with Sub-Zero. Not too much more money than Dacor but they continue to make parts available for twenty years following model retirement. That is the kind of company that I want to do business with.

I purchased a Dacor range hood 3 years ago. I had an intermittent problem from the start, as one of the two lights would intermittently go off. Replacing the bulbs didnt fix it. As one light worked perfectly, it became a tolerable issue. Finally, I was having other electrical work done in our home & I asked my electrician to look at it two weeks ago. He figured out that it was a defective lamp housing that incorrectly held the lamp bulb. Dacor shipped me a replacement lamp housing for me at no charge. I installed it this last weekend and it is running fine. Thanks, Dacor!

I am very, very pleased to report that I was contacted by Dacor a day after I posted my review which addressed a second failed relay board in 7 years. A really helpful Customer Service Representative called me (not emailed) to discuss the issue in great detail. Within a matter of days, a local repair service had received the new part from Dacor and scheduled an appointment with me to come out and replace the defective part. Dacor covered both the part and the labor. Im really sorry that the oven needed a second major repair but I will say that Im impressed with Dacors resolution of this issue!

As an add-on to my original review, I had a a service call to address the LC error code. The service company reconnected my unit, turned it on, ran a couple tests, and declared there was no issue. We ran the dishwasher 1 cycle and it worked just fine. Tried to run it again later that day, and the LC code was back again. To resolve the issue, I worked with the company I bought my appliances through to replace the Dacor dishwasher with a Bosch. That happened today, so it is too early to tell say how the Bosch works, but it is more solidly built, has more capacity and the door fully opens with the panel installed.Dacor did reach out to me to try to resolve this issue, so kudos to their customer support, but the issues were just too many. And as I stated in my original review, love the Dacor range top, double oven and refrigerator.

2017 purchased 36” range. First year- self cleaning overheated, replaced part. That was in 1 years warranty. But now: only 3 years barely: (I dont even cook much). Oven turns off by itself if I open the door. Oven does not turn off when I am done cooking. If I cook 450f pops warning of temp overheat. Called ABT service (this is where Dacor said) it cost $219 for a service guy to call dacor and to give me answer: I think it is android board. I have to buy a board. Plus per Dacor this board will not have wifi. So there is no Discovery- paid extra for extras I can not have...

I rarely write reviews but when I found your site, I decided it was time to vent. I bought a 36 dual fuel, convection Epicure range in 1999. It was not a cheap oven and I was excited at the possibilities of having a 16,000 BTU broiler and large oven cavity to work with. Lets just say that excitement quickly wore off. Almost immediately after the range went out of warranty, the ignitors went bad and we also had to replace the control panel ($400 in repairs was a lot back then). After that, we continued to have ignitor problems and replaced them again. Finally, I just stopped doing it and lit them with my aim and flame. I never allow my children to cook on the stove because I am afraid they will be burned. Most recently, my broiler element, relay board and again more ignitor problems ($1,200 in repairs). Not to mention, the repairman had a terrible time trying to access all the areas and was at my house for 4 hours trying to do so. When the initial problems happened, I emailed, phoned, left message, etc. to no avail with customer service (I use that term loosely). This company is the worst. I have told everyone I know never to buy a Dacor anything. Next time, Ill buy a Wolf.

This is not how you treat customers and it tells that it does not matter if you buy $8000 refrigerator, you as a customer does not really matter. I am in the process of building another house right now and I was considering spending over $40,000 on Dacor appliances and that will definitely not happen since the company refuses to honor the warranty that is still active over broken door spring. What a shame!

Dangerous condition! I purchased a Dacor 36 dual fuel range 5 years ago. I reported the issue to Dacor via email with no response from customer service. I believe the no response was an attempt by Dacor to distance themselves from their responsibility for this potentially dangerous condition. Specifics: When pre-heating the oven in convection/bake mode, if the oven door is opened before reaching the set pre-heat temperature, a ball of flame will explode up from the opened door. The ball of flame is basketball sized and has singed eyebrows and hair on several occasions. To reiterate - it is a ball of flame, not super-heated air that is the problem. As a result, after non-response from Dacor, we called a decor qualified repair technician who diagnosed the problem as a bad igniter. The igniter was replaced and the problem still exists. I fear that a small child may be severely burned by the engineering design fault.

Stylish products with amazing performance. Originally, I wasnt very familiar with Dacors luxury appliances. However, I saw some of their new products and decided to take plunge. Glad I did! I bought a 36 French Door refrigerator for the house and I love the features and performance of this fridge. The fresh zone adjustable drawer can go colder than the standard refrigerator compartment, so I keep it at just below freezing for my beer and champagne. Makes ice super quickly and I feel that the produce also lasts longer. Overall, very happy with this purchase and when I do a full kitchen remodel, I will be considering their cooking products as well.

We have 3 Dacor appliances that we purchased new when we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. Our cooktop’s igniter continually clicks even when it is not in the light position. This only happens on the front 2 burners (the back 3 are fine). We have cleaned the unit and cleaned the igniters over and over. We have had 2 authorized Dacor service companies and another company look at our unit. Two said no fix exists; the other replaced a part after talking to Dacor and that did not fix it. When I called Dacor, they noted to get another service company and call them when they are here. I am concerned that this again will not work and I will have to pay another service fee. When they were here I asked them to replace a light in our double oven, but they noted they would have to remove the oven from the wall to do that and it would be costly, to which I said no thanks. Is it true that the oven has to be removed to replace a light? Another issue is that our double wall oven’s upper unit only gets warm to about 200 degrees. Another issue is that the microwave door open button does not move the door, we have to push it and pull the door open by hand. I have turned to Dacor service and to our local service techs and we are at our wits’ end. Any help here?

Im on my second Dacor 36 range! I absolutely love this product. The large grates on the cooktop allow me to have multiple things going at the same time and the size of the oven is amazing. The oven takes a full commercial sheet which allows me to cook 3 or 4 dozen cookies at a time! Dacors convection system is undeniably the best in class. I can roast garlic and bake a cake at the same time with zero flavor transfer! My turkey at Thanksgiving is so amazing Martha Stewart would adopt me if she could see it! We purchased a Dacor Epicure Range for approximately $10,000 and have had one repair after another because the burners leak gas, endangering our family. Weve spent almost $3,000 on repairs and the repairman has told us that hes never seen such a pervasive gas leak. To manage the cost of repairs, weve literally turned the gas and stove off for periods of time to cook on other appliances. I have reached out to Dacor about this but they have not been willing to stand behind their product.

The technician said the compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. A week later we found out that Dacor no longer makes the particular compressor I need. I have now been living without a fridge for 3 weeks and Dacor doesn’t seem to care at all. We have 3 children and are currently living out of a cooler with ice. I call them and email them every day begging them for a resolution. They are a avoiding me. I believe they owe me a new fridge and they don’t want to do it. We have enjoyed our Dacor oven for a number of years but cannot recommend this brand due to high cost and frequency of repairs. The relay board, at $400 a pop parts cost only, has had to be replaced twice within 5 years. The oven door hinges failed in normal use so that the door would not close tightly and had to be replaced. The halogen oven lights fail frequently requiring replacement. Parts cost is only part of the issue. The inconvenience of not being able to use the oven for extended periods of time and high appliance repair labor costs are significant. All in all, a very good oven but reliability and frequency of expensive repairs lead us to not recommend Dacor ovens.

The new Dacor was $1600+ and the reviews on all their dishwashers since 2007 are one out of five stars. Dacor knows there is a problem and wont rectify it with the consumer. An amiable young man called from Dacor. He stated he would help me on any future problem with the other appliances. We remodeled our kitchen in 2002 and chose the Dacor 36 dual-fuel range. I was preparing a pork roast for a dinner party with the oven on Bake. The roast was just not coming up to temperature, though the display indicated that the oven was at the temperature I set. I wound up slicing the roast and cooking it on the griddle; my hungry guests were getting restless. Then I tracked the oven heat for an entire day with an oven thermometer. The oven would come up to temperature and then cool off. I sent these numbers to Dacor and asked customer service for an explanation. Believe it or not, the conversation was--Dacor: The temperature is going down because the fan is coming on. Youre not supposed to use the Bake setting, but only the Convection Bake or Pure Convection. Me: Why is the Bake button there, then? Dacor: Were taking it out in the next production run. (This hasnt happened. My sister-in-law bought a Dacor last year before I could warn her and the button is still there.) Also, after using the self-clean one time, I noticed a crack on the inside of the oven door, starting in the corner of the window. The inside of the window is now permanently spotted with baked-on grease. Now my oven does not work at all. The repairman says that the circuit board needs to be replaced, and if Im lucky, it will work for a couple of years. The repair will cost around $700 including labor. The repairman told me that some repairmen in our area will not even work on Dacors because there are so many problems. Im considering replacing the stove... a very expensive mistake. Beware of Dacor products.

Dacor ERD30S06CHLP 30 Inch Epicure Series Freestanding Dual-Fuel - I am so dissatisfied with this product. We bought the first range in 2003 and were so excited to use it. We chose Dacor over Wolf. From the beginning we had issues with the oven. It cooked very unevenly and the door never closed properly. We had a service call and they basically told us that we got a lemon. They offered us a new range for $3.5K. We thought we got a lemon so we agreed and paid for a new one for $3.5k. We also purchased the extended warranty for $2.2K.0 This one was even worse. One time I opened the oven and it burned my eyelashes. I wrote and complained with a video of the explosion and had to pay for the service call. I wrote a review in the website and they deleted it. We now own a range that we have paid over $10K that bakes unevenly, electric element does not work in oven and have minor explosions from time to time with a door that does not close. We have a few friends who have asked us about our range and we always recommend against it. We are looking for a new range. I would not recommend this range. I thought we got a lemon. But it seems thats just the product.

I could have written every one of these negative reviews. Ive had all the same issues with my Dacor Epicure oven. Faulty computer panel, failed motor in the downdraft fan, oven not maintaining temperature (meaning NOTHING cooks correctly in this oven), burned out lower element and discolored interior. And let me add that the interior oven fan stays on for about half an hour after you turn off the oven. What purpose could that possibly serve???? Suffice it to say that this is a poorly made product by a company that has no desire for repeat customers. I am currently working with customer service to try to get my oven working for Thanksgiving, but I just dont have much hope after reading all of these similar issues. I recently complained about my Dacor dishwasher that would stop running during the cycle because of a faulty circuit board and touch pad. The repair would have cost me $500.00 to replace the entire touch pad and circuit board and the Customer Service department was not in the least helpful or concerned. After making the complaint on this site, I received an email the next day from James who was very nice and asked for the model, serial number of my dishwasher and who was the repair company I used. I emailed the information back to him and after verifying my information, he informed me that the parts would be shipped to my house at no cost and I would only have to pay for the service call! Now that was great service from a company who is trying to make good for a bad item in their appliance line. My repair person told me that Dacor is now using a different manufacturer for their dishwasher so hopefully it will be a better product.

I purchase a home with a Dacor double oven. Unfortunately the oven begins transmitting multiple beeps and the touch panel will sometimes read off after beeping a while. I contacted the staff at Dacor requesting a service manual. They refused to send me a service manual and stated that only authorized technicians can service their equipment. Its obvious they used google or a local phone book and sent me contacts of appliance repair shops in my area. When I called, they had never heard of Dacor let alone be factory authorized. I called Appliance repair shops up to 50 miles away to find there were no Dacor Dealers. I found one 70 miles away but it was too far to send a technician. The freezer is large and can fit so many different items. My 2 other favorite things are the fresh drawer and auto refill water pitcher. Dacor 27 electric double oven unreliability. Almost from first use the Dacor electric double oven has been plagued with problems including but not limited to door not locking when self cleaning, not self cleaning, door not unlocking upon completion of self cleaning, and filter issues. Since purchased in 2013 the top oven has been used between 75 and 100 times; the bottom oven less than 25 times. Yesterday the oven died. First error message U43 relay board. Second U60 cooling fan. Worse when the control board responsive/froze circuit breakers were needed to turn oven off.Repair estimate is $1600 plus tax. I intend to replace the overpriced and unreliable Dacor with a Kitchen Aide at approximately 13 the price based on customer and Consumer Reports reviews plus a new one year guarantee. I do not recommend the Dacor double oven if you are a serious cook and/or frequent user. Oh how I wish I never bought a Dacor! It has been nothing but problems. I figured I bought a lemon but after reading other reviews its just not a good product with not very good customer service either. I have had repairs every year, and even after repairs it still isnt functioning as it should. The first problem I had was the whole glass window blew out during baking, which seems to me is a huge liability. The company said that shouldnt happen but is out of warranty and would give me a discount on the glass. I thought that was better than nothing but then 6 months later the relay went out, then baking temps were all over the place in the oven so they said I needed a new motherboard and they said both ovens needed it. So those were repaired. Oh ya and the light in the bigger oven hasnt worked past the first year even after having the light changed and some electrical stuff done on it. Then I had the bulbs changed due to irregular oven temps. The temps are still all over the place to this day.The back right corner gets too dark. The front left doesnt brown and is a lower temp. Now Im having problems with the oven turning off during baking and when using broil in the small oven it causes the large ovens probe alarm to go on and offer at least for an hour. Dacor didnt help me with anything past the glass and its only been 7 months since the new motherboards were put in. I cant afford to buy a new oven at this time and so I only use the small oven mainly since the larger has so many problems. Do yourself a favor and never buy a Dacor!

I have a Dacor 27 inch wall (model EOR) oven which I bought 2 years ago, along with a micro and a warming drawer. Since then, the control panel has been replaced twice. Both times because, after using the timer mode, the beeper would come on at all hours of the day and night. In both instances, I had to cut the power to the oven until the replacement part arrived. I am presently waiting for the third panel to arrive. Today I needed to bake something, so I turned the power to the oven back on. Now it will only function at 350 degrees and only in the bake mode. No other numbers can be put in and nothing happens when I select convection. So far Dacor has absorbed the cost of the parts and repairs, but that does not mitigate the hassle of having to wait upwards of 2 months for a part each time this happens.

This is a follow-up to my initial complaint, which was posted on November 28, 2011, and an updated posting on December 27, concerning problems with our Dacor range. We were contacted by the customer service representative from Dacor, who has been very diligent in working with us to find a solution.Yesterday, the Dacor regional service supervisor from Washington came to Casper to work on our oven, which is now totally functional. Pretty amazing customer service! He did share with us Dacors challenges in getting qualified local service companies, especially in smaller towns. Then came Christmas day, and we were having 30 people over, so we went to turn on the Dacor oven, but to our horror, it did not work again. We have owned this oven for a little over a year, and have tried to use it only twice. In that time, both on holidays, with a lot of people to feed. This time, when I called for service, they told me I will be charged $198, because when they tried to get Dacor to drop that charge, they said no. We are very disappointed in Dacor for not caring more about the customer.

This is a follow-up comment from my last post dated June 21st 2011. My local appliance company, where I purchased this oven, seems to have helped with their recent fix. I was able to bake a white cake, following the box directions, that was not burned on one side and raw on the other; it was okay. With fall arriving, I will be back in my kitchen and will be using my oven. I will keep you posted. I still would not recommend this oven to anyone, and will not purchase any future Dacor products.

When our installer removed the packing material, he saw that the oven glass was shattered. Dacor said they would fix it, but wouldnt tell me how. I had to call the local repair shop to see what parts were being shipped. Only the glass! Not even the whole door. The idea that they would take apart and reassemble a brand new oven and consider that acceptable service makes me angry. This is supposed to be a high end company. I responded that this was unacceptable since the oven had obviously been dropped (shatter pattern spreads from the lower right corner of the glass) and might be a safety hazard. No response yet. Ill update this if/when I get a response.

It give the peace of mind, knowing that having a Dacor cooktop (RGC365) I have one less thing to worry about it. Food is always on time, and my wall oven is so simple to use and clean. Weve had these appliances for 15 years. The cooktop has worked well. However, it could be improved with a lower lever for heating on its small burners, allowing it to simmer water rather than boil. The Dacor exhaust we purchased is one of those type that pop up out of the counter. It works but leaves much to be desired. When it runs, it pulls so much air the flame goes out on the burners. It is still not efficient at getting rid of cooking smells or smoke either, but that is simply a problem with all of this design so I cant fault Dacor. We have the biggest problem with the double oven. There are three main issues: 1) Whenever we run the self cleaning function, it pops the heat safety switch inside the oven housing so I need to take it apart to fix it. Hence we work to keep it clean so we never use the cleaning cycle. 2) The oven door gaskets prevent to door from closing and sealing all the way. The door tilts out app. ¾ because of this. We were told by the service guy who came to fix problem 1 above that this is the way the doors are(!). Our bottom one also tilts out but not as much. Ive dealt with this for 14 years! 3) We have to sand the burner electrodes on the cooktop to ensure they spark to light the burners at least 2-4 times per year. Not sure if that is normal or not.

Arrived in good condition and so far works perfectly. Delivery was delayed by one day because of the incompetence of my local mail service. I bought this microwave, as others have described, to replace a 13 year old Dacor that had not really died but had lost the electronic screen. We put magic marker numbers on the display screen where the numbers had been 5 years ago and kept using all the functions. I decided to replace as, without the display screen, I could not do anything semi sophisticated with this microwave but its motor and microwave capacity was still going strong. This model fits perfectly into the previous 24/27 trim kit. Unfortunately our other trim kit is white to match our old microwave. Decor only has stainless steel now. And the new trim kit for this microwave is flat without the vent slats (plus costs over $300!). From the placement in our cabinet, I think the vented slats are really important to dissipate heat and am puzzled by the change in design by Dacor. The slats are a little tedious to clean but as a TV is above the microwave and an oven below I want the heat to have a better place to go. Ebay has the old trim kit in stainless steel but so far the expense seems excessive for just the outside piece. The internal support bracket for the new microwave is exactly the same as for the previous model so the only part of the trim kit needed for my microwave is the outside frame. This newer model works very similarly to the older version. I am delighted Dacor still makes this microwave to fit my space 13 to 15 years later.

Do not buy a Dacor appliance unless youre okay with replacing parts for the oven in less than 2 years. The control electronic part was replace then less than a year later the user interface had to be replaced. Less than a year after the user interface was replaced, the oven completely stopped working. After calling the same repair guy to come fix it, they informed me that the company no longer sells the control interface. When I called the company, the only options they gave me were to send the part to a third party refurbish company and have them fix it. That means I would have to call the service repair company for the FOURTH time to have them remove the part, I would need to send it away to get fixed and call them back to put it back in. Dacor didnt even offer to pay for any of this. The customer service rep offered to give me a discount on a new unit. Are you kidding me?!? Please do yourself a favor and dont buy anything from this company. They dont back up their products and its clear they dont care about their reputation. Its a waste of money to be spend on high end appliances that are poorly made. Spend less from a different company thats been around for a long time. At least if a part goes, youll have reassurance they will have that part handy. A terrible company. I hope they go belly up soon so they can stop selling overly priced kitchen appliances to people.

DONT recommend model #MOH130. We were so impressed with the options that this oven came with. Sadly, with all the bells and whistles also came a ton of repairs. After the 4th repair, our service rep said the relay board needed to be switched out. (Half of the service men who came to my house seemed to be grasping at straws trying to come up with an explanation why the temperature was fluctuating, or why it took so long to heat up, etc.) Then I get to wait 2 weeks for a part to be ordered/arrived and re-schedule service. We did a full reno on our house starting in 2018. With a brand new kitchen we felt higher end appliances would help finish it off nicely. We settled on Dacor from our appliance dealer due to the look a past history of great reviews. Had we known that the original Dacor no longer existed and it was now Samsung with Dacor nameplate we never would have bought them. We have had 15+ service calls for the fridge and oven. Oven didnt work from day one and required multiple board changes. The interior is not level so you cant bake a cake and the racks are impossible to remove without bending the rails. It just failed again last night just as the warranty expired. The call center is in the Caribbean so dont expect any help from customer service. The ice maker with the fridge is a continual problem so we had to buy an $100 ice maker that now sits on our counter full time. These appliances have a high end price tag but are not high end!

My Dacor wall oven does not heat. It is 6 years old and barely used. The technician is waiting for Dacor to get back to them to fix the problem. The technician has done everything they can and it has been four months and Dacor is not responding to fix the issue as its a Dacor problem not a technician problem. (Its a control interface issue, the relay board communicating with machine is not working properly.) I have done my own investigation and they do not reply to customer service e-mails, there is no phone number to talk to someone who could help, just a receptionist who says after 7 years we dont fix Dacor. I have a Dacor refrigerator that cools poorly and needs servicing. Refrigerator manufacture date March 2017. When I acquired the refrigerator I signed up for the Dacor standard warranty (1 year) and the Promotional additional 2-year Dacor standard warranty advertised as 3-For-Free warranty. I contacted Dacor customer support by phone today. After an hour on hold, they said that they would have to check with their supervisor. 2 hours later I received a call back saying that its only a 2-year warranty. Their website where I registered my product (warranty.dacor.com/member) clearly indicates that my refrigerator is still under warranty. When I confronted them with this, their answer was anyone can register anything on the website and it proves nothing. In other words, registering your product offers you absolutely no protection.I provided their supervisor all documentation requested, (including proof of title of ownership of my house!), and they still repeatedly stated its only a 2 year warranty. When asked where they are getting this information, they simply said thats what we have in our system. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but they said none were available. I left a message with the supervisor, but none ever returned my call.Dacor continues to offer their 3-For Free warranty to this very day. As a busy physician, I keep good records and pay attention to detail. Dacor has been to my home previously without incident. I am extremely disappointed in what appears to be the companys blatant attempt to deny warranty coverage despite ample documentation that its still covered. I would caution folks that their 3 year for Free warranty is simply not true based on my personal experience today. I will no longer be purchasing any Dacor products because of this, and will relay my story to anyone interested in purchasing Dacor products.

We did a major remodel in 2006 and were talked into Dacor Appliances by the kitchen planner. Big Mistake! The first time we tried to do the wall oven self-cleaning, the circuit board blew out. Since it was just past warranty and no one near us in West Virginia would work on it, I found a board online for $200.00 and replaced it. It has never heated evenly and now it wont heat past 350 F and maintain temp. The Dacor range hood sounds like a jet plane and the variable speed switch wont reduce rate. The bulbs burned out and after buying two online for $30 each, I removed the decorative housing and use a more standard $10 bulb. The Dacor gas cooktop is OK except that EVERY time you turn on a burner, one or two of other igniters start clicking and wont stop until you find which one it is (not always the same) and turn it on and off. Please heed this and all the other warnings from the choir. DO NOT BUY DACOR! It is all very expensive junk! I only gave it 1 star because there was no way to rate Dacor a zero!

I purchased a Dacor Black Dual Fuel Range (RSD30B) in 2001 which was installed during a kitchen remodel. We moved back into the house on 12/24/01. We hardly ever use the oven because my husband barbeques every night. In less than 5 years, a piece of the plastic front control panel fell off. In early 2008 the self cleaning function broke (error F2). I called Dacor and they referred me to a repair service. It was going to cost almost $500 to repair so, given that we use the oven so little, I decided not to spend the money on an oven that was falling apart. Now within the last two years the plastic control panel is cracked across the front and more pieces are starting to fall off. Now the clock and the timer have stopped working. I called Dacor again today and was told that the seals and hinges on the oven are probably bad, which is contributing to the problem. The customer service person was rude and unhelpful. He said it was not unusual for a ten year old oven to break. He gave me contact information for a parts dealer and two repair services. I bought this oven believing it was a high quality and I expected them to stand behind their product. What can you do to help me?

From the beginning, August 1997, 17 years ago, I was not able to use my oven after self-cleaning. The problem was never resolved after countless service calls totaling over $1500. Aside from the cost, I was inconvenienced every time I cleaned my oven, as I was not able to use it until it was serviced, about a two week wait. I contacted Dacor early on and they reluctantly agreed to extend my warranty for a year. They did nothing beyond that, and my oven still shuts down after self-cleaning, which I hesitate to do at all, until it is beyond needing cleaning! The circuit board was replaced and recently the cooling fan was changed, but....no luck. Buying a new oven is not an alternative, as the oven performs well in every other way and I simply cannot afford one. I cannot believe a company of such status is not interested in satisfying its customers.

Purchased a Dacor Epicure ER36DSCH/NG RANGE and oven in 2007. Sad story, it never worked properly since day 1. Initially a gas burner did not light, they came and repaired it. Subsequently the door lock failed in the lock position - had that repaired. The door lock failed the next year again, this time thanksgiving, ruined the dinner. They fixed it but the following year the lower burner element failed at Thanksgiving. All my relatives know not to purchase a Dacor product. Problem is I am stuck with this boat anchor. The oven door motor has failed 3 more times and thankfully the service man showed me how to change it. Today we tried to bake some apple pies and found the oven temperature set at 450 was only 350 (bought an oven thermometer). This explains why it always takes so long to bake things. We placed the new Dacor appliances that we’ve purchased in our second home in Big Bear Lake, California. The fact is we were in our second home approximately 10 times in the first two years. We had trouble with our Dacor dishwasher from the beginning. When you close the door, it wouldnt engage unless you close the door a number of times. It became progressively worse to the point where we brought out another repairperson - this time a certified Dacor repairperson. He got the washer going for a few minutes, only to not being able to complete a full cycle. We received an initial $89.95 bill, and during another contact we would have to pay an additional $400-plus for a motherboard and labor. We contacted Dacor, along with the contractor, a number of times. We had the history of this dishwasher which is causing problems.Dacor would not make it good, even though we spent more than $10,000 on other Dacor kitchen products. It simply doesnt make sense to me to not fix a sub-par dishwasher to keep a customer happy. Now, we are angry and will go on a number of sites to advertise our plight. We will install a new Bosch dishwasher as we have no confidence in Dacor and even less in their customer relations division.

I remodeled a kitchen in a high end house and so wanted nice appliances. I had KitchenAid (which Id had a lot of issues with) for about 16 years. (Since I built the house - the fridge was rebuilt 3 times.) While looking for which appliances to use we were at an open house and a chef was cooking and giving a talk on the Dacor ovens in it. So... I reviewed a lot, liked what I read, and chose Dacor. I love them, the cook quality, the features, all of it. BUT my double oven had issues from the start. An annoyance at first with the built in Android but I didnt complain a lot. Move forward 1.5 years and the Android tablet built into it would freeze and not restart without throwing a jumper on fuse box. I called Dacor and they gave me a number of options, disable the Android because of a known issue and get $500 back, or - return the oven for full credit and theyd pay to have it removed (1.5 years later... cmon thats pretty awesome), or - pay $500 and move to the newest higher end model with steam cooking. Wow, talk about stand by your product! Ive never seen this before with an appliance manufacturer/vendor. Certainly wasnt my experience with KitchenAid. Anyway Im an advocate even though I had a problem and thought they deserved credit here.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2001 and bought a Dacor Epicure 30 dual fuel range. The gas cooktop has never been a problem, unlike the oven which has been a problem from the first week with unpredictable temperature variations. Multiple holiday meals have seen the extended family waiting for dinner for two hours because the oven decided to be cool that day. The advice from Dacor: preheat your oven for several hours before you need it or my favorite from a repairman: you must be slamming your oven door. Not helpful. Several expensive repairs later (over $2100) and one fire in the oven now it wont turn on at all. We are going to try one last time to repair it and then we are done. I do not recommend Dacor to anyone - too expensive to have such terrible quality and service.

Our 10 year old Dacor microwave finally passed on, so I ordered this model, as it fits into the existing trim kit. It is basically the same model I had before, without all the "digital" screen display and the "tune" that played when the food was done. It still does multiple steps at different percentages and, instead of hitting time, percentage and start, you select time, and repeatedly press the "power setting" button multiple times to arrive at your desired percentage (it steps down from 100%), then press start. It's also an 1100 watt unit where our previous one was 1200 watts. I don't notice any difference. It has a "cobalt" blue display. There are many "preset" buttons for things like Pizza, Popcorn, etc. Love our new Dacor!

I purchased a DACOR Discovery IQ Range one year ago Model # DYRP36DS/NG from an online authorized DACOR retailer. Here is a synopsis of the events Ive had with the range over the past 12 months: I took delivery of the Range in January of 2016 at my home under construction. I moved into the home in April 2016 which is when the Range was fist installed. In May I began to have problems with the unit, it would shut down during preheating, then reboot itself, sometimes it would just reboot itself randomly. I called DACOR customer support who told me that I needed to download the latest software version, which I did. Shortly thereafter, the Range again would shut down during cooking and go into a reboot cycle.I called DACOR again, they sent out a local service company. In June the technician came out and upgraded and re-installed the software. The problem continued, I contacted DACOR AGAIN, got the run around, etc... Escalated the problem. DACOR then determined the problem was in the internal circuit board which they arranged to shipped to local service company. The service company came out again, replaced the internal circuit board and attempted to upgrade the eProm, which didnt work. The Range was in a constant state of rebooting itself over and over and over again. The Technician left. Said nothing more he could do. I had to shut the power off so the unit would stop rebooting itself.I called DACOR AGAIN, I got a complete run around, they refused to do anything more. I finally was able to reach the V.P. of Customer Service. After a few conversations and investigation into the issues. She determined that the unit needed a new front controller panel. The panel was shipped to the local service company. The service company came out again and replaced the front controller panel. Its now November. Over Christmas, the unit began to shut off the oven randomly during cooking cycles, for no apparent reason. Over New Years, the oven was shutting off, flashing an error code and reboot! I called DACOR last week. They refuse to help because now it is out of warranty.Ive contacted the online retailer. Ive left messages at DACOR for the Service Manager and the V.P. of Service. NO RESPONSE. So this is how DACOR deals with servicing their high end appliances, keep trying to pretend to fix the lemon appliance until the anniversary date, and then they dont have to deal with their $9,000 piece of garbage high end range any longer. The consumer gets screwed and DACOR doesnt care in the least! DO NOT BUY an appliance from DACOR.

I have owned a Dacor dual fuel 6-burner range for several years. I paid approximately $5,000 for the product. It has proven to be totally unsatisfactory. The gas burners click and make noise whenever you try to turn the burners down to a low temperature. The cook top is very hard to clean. The range is a constant problem. It smells bad, does not heat up promptly, and the broiler feature is always a problem. A gas oven is supposed to heat to and keep a constant temperature - the Dacor does not. The broiler will not cook food evenly or well. The door to the oven will not close properly and is constantly partially open. The hinges do not seem to work properly. Most importantly, I have tried on many occasions to get Dacor to do something about the defective product. They have been totally non-responsive. When I did finally get somebody to come and look at it, they spent about 2 hours cleaning it, accused me of using the wrong cleaner on the cooktop, and presented me with a bill for $800. I asked if they would just give me my money back and take the defective product with them. DONT BUY DACOR.

I have the Dacor 30 all gas range in my house and it is the best. The grates take up the whole top surface of the stove area, so I have a ton of room to cook on. Basically, I can fit 4 giant pots on the stove at the same time, so Im ready anytime a chili cookout might break out. This is also super convenient during tamale season and soup season because I can put up to 4 giant stockpots on the stove simultaneously. In the event that I spill, its easy to remove the grates and give the surface a nice wipe up. As far as the oven, I totally rule the holiday season because I can fit up to 3 full size 18x36 catering sheets in at the same time, so basically, I can cook 4 dozen or more cookies in one shot, leaving me tons more time with family and friends than if I was baking 1 sheet at a time. We shopped around and compared Dacor, Sub-Zero, and Thermador just to make sure Dacor is for sure what we wanted. We chose Dacor and we couldnt be happier. Its been almost a year and we still love our Dacor fridge. Now we will just have to wait until our oven dies to get a matching Dacor one.

I purchased a 30 Dacor dual fuel range and matching hood in 2004. I paid $4009 for the range and $948 for the hood. The range and hood have been nothing but problems. I wrote to Dacor in April 2009 detailing the problems with the range with service history dating back to 2006. Problems include overheating when cleaning which is a safety risk, replacement of cooling fan, ignitor assay, part # 92309 membrane, and replacement of relay board in 2007, 2009 and again December of 2011. I attempted to purchase a Dacor extended service agreement in January 2009 but was declined due to the ranges past history and its age. I recently found this site which indicates that other consumers have had similar problems with Dacor products. Dacor has lost me as a customer as I will never buy another Dacor product! I have been disappointed and frustrated with their lack of response and support. I finally purchased a GE service contract which has helped absorb some of the cost of ongoing repairs. The overhead lighting has long since gone out in the hood. I was told the hood needs to be disassembled to replace the lights. Dacor should step up and support its products. When most people put out $4000 for a range, they expect to get a quality product that will last 15-20 years. With Dacor, this has definitely not been the case!

We purchased a Dacor wall oven to replace a GE oven that was outdated. We thought we were getting a premium appliance, but after less than a year and just before the holidays it quit with a code on the control panel we couldnt find in the owners manual. We had a serviceman out and the cost of the part and the service call was more than we paid for the oven! It now sits there, useless and a reminder to never buy Dacor anything!

I purchased a 48 Dacor Epicure stove in October 2010. We moved into our home in November just in time for Thanksgiving. We remodeled the kitchen and the stove is the focal point. When I heated the two ovens, the pre-heat mode stayed on but the ovens went to 600 degrees plus. My oven thermometers only read to 600. That happens every time and the fans stay on for hours. After many service calls, we have determined that the oven is going into a cleaning mode every time and is wired backwards. Dacor is ignoring me.
