Updated on 09/08/2019: Received a long apology from Dacor regarding their complete inability to service our range stating they would make it right. After sending them all my contact info privately at their request, we have heard nothing. My husband drove to Houston to their showroom, met with Dacor rep out of California, still nothing. Note there are only a few suggested repair services on their website which none cover our area. Avoid Appliance Genius. They wanted $ 500 just to drive 50 minutes travel cost. So here we sit, broiler in main oven out, lighters do not work, and the control screen is blank. Yes, Dacor was great until something broke.Original Review: Our Dacor range was great until it started needing repair. First the broiler went out in the main oven. Then some of the lighters quit working. When we called for repair, every place we called said they would no longer service Dacor because they were unable to get parts. For over a year we have gone back and forth with Dacor state office. They finally sent a “tech” from a video repair store. Really. He charged us $170 to drive to us. Then said he couldn’t get the brass rings off the burners, sorry. Called Dacor again and they said if we found anyone to let them know!!! Yesterday, the the touch panel burned out. I’m done. Dacor does not stand behind their products. I have documented all conversations. Do not buy Dacor.

My oven would not work. Neither the broiler nor oven element would heat. The dealer from whom we purchased the range had gone out of business. So, I wrote to customer service on the Dacor site. Dacor customer service was back to me within 24 hours with a suggestion on what might be wrong. My husband followed the easy directions and my oven is now working! I am very happy with the prompt reply from Dacor customer service. They even provided a dedicated phone number if we had problems.

Epicure Range, wall oven, microwave and fridge - When remodeling our kitchen in 2010, an appliance salesperson gave us a good deal on the entire set. We spent $20k on the Dacor appliances. BIG MISTAKE! Do not ever buy anything Dacor. We have issues with every single one. Where do I start? The ovens have gone out three times now and I have had to replace the main panel, now it will not heat at all. The refrigerator 42 built-in is a big piece of crap! We have had it serviced 4-times for everything. The entire fridge freezes over due to a design flaw. The fan in the freezer completely ices over. The ice door broke. The crushed ice broke. The plastic door for the butter broke. The shelves broke. The microwave has had issues and has had to be fixed. The oven temps were wrong. Fixed those myself thanks to YouTube. When talking to the service guy he said that these are cheap appliances with the Dacor badge, so you have to spend big bucks to buy them and big bucks to repair! Do yourself a favor and if you are thinking of Dacor run! I contacted Dacor and they are even worse to deal with. They did not care that their appliances are very unreliable. Never received a return call, email, or even a letter.

We purchased a DACOR double wall oven (MOH2275) in April 2012. We are waiting for service to arrive for the fourth time since we purchased the oven. I find this unacceptable. We have had 2 other ovens in the last 30 years and they did not need any service. In general I have found appliances to be of such reliability that I dont get extended warranties. DACOR gave a 3 year warranty on this oven and now I know why. Hopefully this service will fix it for a long period of time.On the positive side, the oven really works well. It is so well insulated that we feel very little heat coming off it. One serious flaw its overall operation is the reheating of the oven. If I bake something at 350 degrees and then want to reset the over to 450 degrees, the oven does not go into preheat mode and does not let you know when you reach the required temperature. I am hopeful this will last awhile and not have to be replaced for what we paid for it.

Updated on 09/25/2020: I wrote my original review of Dacor back in June 2020. This was after 4 months after I first started having trouble with my Dacor dishwasher. It is now September 25th, and still waiting on parts from Dacor to get dishwasher fix. Now the $10k refrigerator is not working and have been awaiting parts on it for over two months. This is absolutely the worst “high end” brand I have ever bought. This now a Samsung owned company and is not worth the money. Stay clear if this brand. Look at the other brands in this category like Wolf, Sub Zero, Miele.Original Review: I purchased a complete Dacor Kitchen package worth close to $20k for a home I did a renovation on. We had the dishwasher a month and it has not worked since. Finally they sent out someone to service it. The service tech said nothing was wrong with it. The next day after the servicemen left it was back making the same horrible sounds and AGAIN not working. I called warranty for about the 8th time and all the rep could tell me is... that did we read our manual and make sure we were operating it properly???? WOW!! Im a custom home builder and have bought numerous high end appliances packages and generally have had good service and even replacement if its a major problem. Dacor makes it sound like this is my fault, that they sold me an INFERIOR product!! Dont waste your money on DACOR. Miele, Wolf, Sub Zero all have superior products and service!!

The Discovery Model 30 electric wall oven - After 6 years, the oven failed. The fan motor went out and at the same time, we were advised by a very reputable appliance repair recommended by Dacor that we need to also replace the computer or brain. Total cost of repair: $1150 with a warranty of one year.

If anyone else has this experience with Dacor ovens, we need to have a class action suit against Dacor! While baking Christmas cookies this week with my grandchildren, my ovens stopped working and started beeping. The error code was F3. I was able to get a technician rather quickly who diagnosed the problem as a failure of the control board which affected both ovens. The replacement part was discontinued from production in 2011. My ovens are 12 years old and cost over $4,000 at the time. What a pickle I was in a week before family coming for Christmas dinner! The technician said my only recourse was to send the control board to a refurbisher and he did not know when the board would be fixed - all for a whopping costs of over $600.00! I find it unacceptable that Dacor discontinues a control board and forces the consumer to either buy new ovens or pay the cost of a refurbished part that I hope will work. After spending thousands of dollars, how does this happen? What can be done so the consumers who purchase appliances with good intentions are protected from manufacturers that dont stand behind their products? DACOR I NEED ANSWERS!!

We bought 3 very expensive Dacor appliances when we built our home 12 years ago. They have been a total disappointment. The microwave was replaced after just a couple of years when it just stopped working properly - including needing to stop it by opening the door! The wall ovens have needed many minor repairs which have amounted to several hundred dollars after labor charges. I see on this post others have had to repair the hinges! Ours have been replaced twice! The broiler came loose and was hanging on one side. The internal light also goes on and off by itself - sometimes in quick succession. At times, it stays on and cannot be turned off by the light button but by banging the front of the oven! Ridiculous! The cooktop cooks very unevenly. It goes from simmer to boiling over. The ceramic material did not hold up very well either. It is supposed to clean easy. But there are spills that have left permanent stains and we will be replacing that as well. We have also had Customer Service tell us items have been discontinued so we have no choice but to replace these appliances since replacement parts cannot be purchased any longer. This is a warning to anyone considering Dacor - DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There are far better appliances out there!

When our installer removed the packing material, he saw that the oven glass was shattered. Dacor said they would fix it, but wouldnt tell me how. I had to call the local repair shop to see what parts were being shipped. Only the glass! Not even the whole door. The idea that they would take apart and reassemble a brand new oven and consider that acceptable service makes me angry. This is supposed to be a high end company. I responded that this was unacceptable since the oven had obviously been dropped (shatter pattern spreads from the lower right corner of the glass) and might be a safety hazard. No response yet. Ill update this if/when I get a response.

We built a home in 2006 and installed all Dacor appliances. I would never ever purchase these products again. My gas cooktop was the top of the line product from Dacor and I have had nothing but problems with it for 5 years now. I have spent over $1000 fixing the large burner that continues to have leaks with the seal to the point where the flames come out the bottom of the burner. Most of the other burners click when lit even though they are clean and away from a draft. I have had 2 Dacor approved repair companies out and they both recommended against Dacor. In addition, the finish on the cooktop has soaked in my heavy duty cooking juices and foods and the stains will not come out. Apparently, this is due to the new finish they used so that the metal can withstand the high temperatures. If this company were an auto mfg., they would have had to do recalls and face potential class action suits. I would prefer to be cooking on a camp stove rather than my Dacor. When I contacted Dacor, they offered parts at a reduced rate which still cost a fortune. When I asked about replacement, they said they would sell to me at a discounted rate which was still $2400. Bad product, bad company. My cooktop is still giving me issues. it is embarrassing to cook with friends around because of the problems.

Arrived in good condition and so far works perfectly. Delivery was delayed
Arrived in good condition and so far works perfectly. Delivery was delayed by one day because of the incompetence of my local mail service. I bought this microwave, as others have described, to replace a 13 year old Dacor that had not really died but had lost the electronic screen. We put magic marker numbers on the display screen where the numbers had been 5 years ago and kept using all the functions. I decided to replace as, without the display screen, I could not do anything semi sophisticated with this microwave but its motor and microwave capacity was still going strong. This model fits perfectly into the previous 24/27 trim kit. Unfortunately our other trim kit is white to match our old microwave. Decor only has stainless steel now. And the new trim kit for this microwave is flat without the vent slats (plus costs over $300!). From the placement in our cabinet, I think the vented slats are really important to dissipate heat and am puzzled by the change in design by Dacor. The slats are a little tedious to clean but as a TV is above the microwave and an oven below I want the heat to have a better place to go. Ebay has the old trim kit in stainless steel but so far the expense seems excessive for just the outside piece. The internal support bracket for the new microwave is exactly the same as for the previous model so the only part of the trim kit needed for my microwave is the outside frame. This newer model works very similarly to the older version. I am delighted Dacor still makes this microwave to fit my space 13 to 15 years later.

I purchased a Dacor range/oven combination in 2005 for a total kitchen remodel. I chose Dacor for its name and reputation for quality. The first problem was that the digital clock was running very fast; that occurred in October 2005 and was covered by the warranty. The next problem was that the downdraft would not stop going up and down. I had to turn off the breaker switch of that function until the repairman could fix it. The next problem I consider as a design flaw and not an oven malfunction. Both oven lights were burned out by June 2010 and needed replacing. The light bulb cover for my model is behind a grid for the oven racks which must be removed before the light can be accessed. It’s not a 5-minute job. The next problem was in September 2010 when the oven broiler refused to work. Another service call was needed to replace the oven broiler ignitor. The next problem was in June 2011, when the oven rack, which slides into cavities built into the rear wall of the oven, refused to release. It required another repair call. The repairman had to pull the oven out away from the wall and work to release the rack. As a result, I do not use that rack. Theres no one who uses the oven besides me; I have no kids in the house. The oven has never been misused or abused. The next problem was in November 2012, when the self cleaning feature refused to work; another repair call was needed. All of the above cost me $1,250. When I contacted Dacor about the myriad of problems/issues, I got a written reply that said every situation is reviewed on a case by case basis; in most out of warranty cases, Dacor would sell me the part I needed at a reduced price. I responded that would necessitate two service calls (one to diagnose, one to fix) and an inoperable oven for however long it would take to get the part and then reschedule the repairman. In almost all of the above, my repairman (Dacor authorized repairman) had the parts on his truck. I cant be waiting weeks without a functioning oven. Based on all of the above, my oven would have been out of order for many weeks. I wrote Dacor again, thinking the CEO needs to know about all these problems. I asked my contact to forward my correspondence to the CEO for review/comment. Instead, I got a reply from the customer service supervisor who stated in part on his 1/3/13 email, There tends to be a disproportionate amount of negative postings on-line”. Really? Most companies pay attention to complaints or compliments about their product or service. If someone takes the time to communicate, then the company owes its shareholders the duty to listen when there are repeated complaints about their product. Will I buy Dacor again? Never.

I have been very disappointed in the reliability of our Dacor refrigerator, model EF42BDCBSS, purchased in 2007. The first circuit board went out in 2008 within 6 months of the initial purchase. A replacement part could not be located. It was still under warranty so they replaced the whole unit. In 2010, we had to have another repair to regulate the temperature of the freezer. Last week (October 2012), the circuit board went out again! Even though the unit itself is less than five years old, it is no longer under warranty. Dacor goes by the original installation date. I contacted Dacor and spoke with LS who basically stated that all they could offer was a discount on the part. This repair is costing us over $650, not including the loss of food. We paid to have the part second day. When we called back the next day to get a tracking number for the shipment of the part, we were told by another representative that the part had not shipped because it was out of stock in the default warehouse. He was able to locate it in another warehouse and get it shipped the same day. I called LS back and she stated that she never promised when it would ship, but when it did, it would go second day. I would not expect this type of repair cost and attitude on a refrigerator that was over $9,000 when new. Now, I am concerned with the liability of our range and microwave, which are of the same Dacor brand. The main reason I took the time to write this email is to make retailers aware of the situation and ask that you seriously look at the reputation of the Dacor appliance line and decide if you really want to promote this product to your customers. Dacor could care less about their customers and/or reputation.

I purchased a DACOR PGR-30S LP in 2002. It has had a number of problems due to poor design that required replacing the control panel as well as other parts. However, it has recently developed a gas leak and thus is no longer usable. To fix the gas leak, you must take off the top burners to get to the leak and make a repair. UNFORTUNATELY, DACOR has to make room for new parts and no longer makes the O-Rings required. Yes, apparently a $10 O-Ring takes too much room seven years after I bought my range. So, in 2009, DACOR discontinued making the O-Rings and now I have a very expensive paperweight that I have to take to the dump so that I dont blow up my house. I wouldnt ever buy a DACOR again. The customer service it terrible and they cant even be bothered to carry simple repair parts. Buy a Wolf or some other high end stove because DACOR is literally a piece of junk!

The first F1 Error needed a new membrane repair for $470.00, after 4 years of service. Now, the same F1 error after the new membrane is only 13 and 1/2 months in service and it is now out of warranty. Customer service people are rude and unhelpful but when pressed, they said they might be willing to help after a service tech, which I have to pay for, diagnoses the problem.Even the Sears store people advise their customers not to buy Dacor products and that is sad because it is one of only 2 American made options. Dacor needs to step up their product engineering, commitment to quality and get rid of the rude phone people in Customer No Service. This is not the end of this experience but the only reason I am not junking the stove is because a comparable replacement is another 3000 bucks from another vendor which I cannot afford at this time. The irony of this is that the company clearly knows they have problems but when I asked if the replacement parts had been improved so the problems wont persist, I was told that no changes or modifications to the electronic brains had been made. How stupid is that! They are just asking for more problems with the parts they send you to fix what does not work.

We have owned our dual-fuel Dacor stove for about four years. We purchased this stove because we needed a down-vent - this is how our kitchen was already configured. We had only the Dacor or Jenn-Air stoves as choices and went with the Dacor. I have been thoroughly pleased. Everything works consistently including the self-cleaning feature. Our refrigerator is 5 years old and has had a problem with icing up in the freezer area, resulting in a loud noise from the freezer fan. We originally called Dacor for service but they could not get to it for 2 weeks. An appliance repairman installed a new heater for the defroster. This only worked a short time and happened twice with a cost of over $1000. A couple of months ago, it happened again, and we were able to get a hold of ** at Dacor customer service. Updated on 01/25/2021: After my review in December of 2020 I have continued to fight for a resolution with Dacor. Dacor appeared to be unable to resolve the issue and sent the issue to parent company Samsung. Samsung set up an appointment for repair then cancelled it saying parts were not available and that they would authorize a refund. I supplied the invoice and filled out all necessary documentation, including my banking information so they could wire the money. Today, a Samsung representative called and said I needed to talk to Dacor to finish the process, even though I was told everything was approved.I called Dacor and to no ones surprise they said this would have to be approved and only one person can make that decision and they are hard to get in touch with. Oh, and by the way, 10 days ago the second oven failed. Yes, the large oven that did not work when I purchased the unit. It was repaired in September and has already failed again. I now have a double oven Dacor range and neither works. This week begins my 10th week of fighting with Dacor for them to honor my warranty (again the unit was installed in August 2020) or refund the purchase price. At this point the range has been out of commission half the time I have owned it. I strongly suggest you heed the warnings here on this site. I wish I had listened.Original Review: On August 3, 2020 I purchased a 48 Dacor Gas Range. It was installed a couple of weeks later and the large oven did not work. It took better than a week for Dacors authorized service company to come out and diagnose the problem. The parts took another week to be shipped and then another week to have the repair made. It was a defective thermostat that was preventing the oven from igniting.Fast forward to November 24. In preparing for a big Thanksgiving, we turned on the small oven, only to find that it did not turn on. It had the exact symptom as the large over and would not ignite. I reached out by email to the agent at Dacor who had worked with me before, only to receive the below response: Thank you for contacting Dacor – We are no longer able to provide support by e-mail. Please contact us at U.S. Toll free: 833-353-5483 we are happy to provide personal support. Now begins the worst customer service experience of my lifetime. After opening a case, I have now talked with a dozen different agents and have yet to receive a resolution to my problem - a range that cost over $7,000 that did not work out of the box and has now failed again in a three-month period. I have spent hours on the phone and on hold and was eventually directed to Samsung on December 9 because Dacor could not get the parts. Samsung promised to refund the purchase price of the product is the parts did not come available by December 16.December 16 rolled around and now Dacor is saying that Samsung made the promise, but that they are different companies. Remember, Dacor directed me to Samsung and Samsung does own Dacor. I have been told that the parts for my oven are no longer available. After continuing to push the issue I am told that it is now in management review but that it may take 2 weeks for a decision on my case. It has now been nearly a month since I opened the case and I appear no closer to reaching a resolution on my failed Dacor range. I have asked to speak with a manager, but I keep being told this is not possible right now.I do believe that Dacor is in breach of their warranty. I have been more than reasonable in allowing them to remedy the situation. Since this was installed just over four months ago, it has been out of service in one of the two ovens for a total of 7 weeks. For anyone considering the purchase of a Dacor appliance, I strongly caution you to read the reviews on this site and other sites. If you are lucky and get an appliance that works and never fails, you might be happy. If you ever have to invoke your warranty you will hate your life. I regret that I did not heed the warnings. It is truly unbelievable to me that in 2020, any company can stay in business when they display such disregard for their customers. Be warned.

My husband and I built our home and moved in November 2002. We purchased a Dacor Double Oven, Dacor 5-Burner Electric Cooktop and a Dacor Microwave. After the second year of living in our home, we started having problems with our double ovens. It would start beeping at different times. Sometimes it would last a few times to off and on for days. Then it would stop beeping and not return for a year. Now the beeping has started again and now it is displaying off. It wont come on. We have turned the breaker off and back on because sometimes that would reset it but not this time. Now before I could call anyone out to look at it, my 5 burner electric oven is dead. I called Metro in Tulsa, OK which is where we purchased them and they gave us the name of a repair person in our town. He came out and told us that we needed new boards for both appliances and charged us $50.00 a piece just for the evaluation. Now one week later, he is calling us and telling us that our 5 burner electric oven is discontinued! I dont want to have to purchase a new oven! I will also say that on my microwave, where the time is displayed it is blank across one line. I didnt even ask to have it look at. Please help!

Our new ranch has three Dacor microwaves, only one of which has had a few months of use. The others have very limited use. To this point weve not had problems, but given the opportunity to redo the purchases wed go with a popular brand, i.e., LG, GE, Panasonic. They are more flexible, parts are available, and all three combined would probably cost less than one of these. In fairness, I personally feel the same about our other high end appliances, Wolf, Viking, Sub-Zero and Asko. None beats our former appliances. Maybe its just about show.

We thought we were getting a premium appliance, but after less than a year and just before the holidays it quit with a code on the control panel we couldnt find in the owners manual. Updated on 06/14/2021: We placed a review about a month ago about a defective range. The company contacted us, took some information, but we have not heard from them since. It seems they just wanted an appearance of willingness to help but do not intend to help. After spending almost $4000 on a stove you would think it would last more than a few years before the motherboard malfunctioned. Dacor has provided no help. Very poor customer service and an extreme disappointment.Original Review: We bought our Dacor range for 3800$ in 2017. The self clean function did not work due to a defective locking mechanism. We had that repaired. Starting in 2019, the bake cycle was not heating up to set temperature. We followed recalibrate instructions. Then, the temperature went over the desired setting. I’ve tried adjusting baking times to deal with the problem. Convection bake started having temperatures above the set temperature.Several months ago we called for repair. The service technician tested the sensor and said it was fine. He stated that it was the motherboard which would cost $1200 to replace with parts and labor. That’s a lot of money to put into a high end stove that cost $3800 to begin with and is only 3 years old! We’ve had Frigidaire stoves that lasted 15+ years. This continues to be a problem. Unfortunately, we may have to replace this stove with Viking or Wolf. This is totally unacceptable considering the initial cost of the stove and the fact that Dacor markets their products to be long lasting and reliable. Never will I buy Dacor products again.

Wish Id known Dacor issues when buying my oven. (Primarily for style - yes, assumed it would function as stated; high end brand). Thank goodness I DID NOT BUY other Dacor appliances. My 30-inch Dacor oven/cooktop burners work but finish started coming off quickly. Above range microwave handle broke within a year. MAIN PROBLEM: OVEN DOOR either wasnt properly installed because it doesnt close flush with unit or its hinges have loosened over the years. Although oven eventually heats, it takes forever. After examining door hinges closely, looks like oven has become unhinged - as have I. No loose parts seen. Recommendations? Other than STEER CLEAR OF DACOR.

If I ever move, I will purchase this microwave drawer again.

When I completely remodeled my kitchen 6 years ago, I actually went AGAINST the advice of my appliance dealer and kitchen designer and insisted on buying the Dacor 30 double convection wall oven. Id been longing for Dacor ovens for years and though they gently tried to steer me towards Miele or Electrolux, I dug in my heels. Ive regretted ever since. Since first use, my electronic display has not been without an error message. Every time I go to turn on the oven, theres a message telling me to clean the convection fan filter. I called Dacor and they told me to ignore it! It was a mistaken message. Still, I cleaned them repeatedly to no avail. The main electronic circuit board on the oven has gone out three times. They paid for it the first time because it was under warranty. The second time they sold me the part at a discount but I had to pay for the service call. Total cost to me: $480. The third time, I had to pay for everything myself. Total cost to me: $870. They told me its because I broiled with the door open. I have NEVER broiled with the door open! The inside lights go on and off randomly. The temperature probe has NEVER worked properly. Last week, I was preheating the oven to bake some cookies and an alarm went off giving me a cooling fan error message. The oven turned off and I cant get it to turn back on. I called Dacor customer service twice so far and the first time they told me they would research the issue and call me back. They NEVER CALLED. I called again and they told me they could ship me the part and I could pay for the service call. The lower oven is currently working so I havent done anything yet, but the oven originally cost me well over $5,000. I have put another $1,300 into it. Im not about to spend another $500-$600 on this complete waste of money. Bottom Line: Dacor sells junk for exorbitant prices and refuses to stand behind their products. I was an idiot to fall for the Only True Convection Oven in the market line. Im buying a Miele or a GE to replace.

I will NEVER buy Dacor EVER again. We built a house and after looking at other high-end appliance makers and upon my mothers strong recommendation, we installed all Dacor appliances in our new kitchen. My mother based her recommendation of Dacor appliances due to what she explained as their excellent customer service. HA!! Less than 3 years after installing our pricey Dacor Epicure over-sized dishwasher it has rusted racks -- top and bottom! After experiencing a very painful, drawn-out and EXPENSIVE process of getting our racks replaced, I am not confident AT ALL that our frustrations with this dishwasher are over yet. The new retrofit slides on the top rack are so lightweight I cant imagine they will effectively operate for years to come. I have difficulty closing my dishwasher properly now and have to check each time I run it for leaks on the floor. Ive given up on my Dacor dishwasher and have resigned myself to eventually replacing it. NEVER buy Dacor!

We just purchased our home in March of this year. The previous homeowner purchased a Dacor oven; it is electric & propane. She purchased the appliance after a complete home renovation in 2008. They lived in the home. After 1 year, they moved out and had it on the market. We purchased the home in 2012. As soon as we moved in, we noticed the oven was not working. We called an appliance repairman - $564.00 service call and part for a new relay switch. It was great; the oven worked. Not even a day later, an F1 error. We called them back out thinking they must have done something incorrectly. They then said we needed a new control panel. We did not have an additional $400.00. We just moved, so he said you could still use the oven. We did. We would use it and flip the breaker off so we did not have to hear the annoying beeping sound. Then I came home and bam - no display, no oven. We called a different Dacor certified appliance guy thinking the first company was just taking us for a ride and it was their fault. $572.00 later, we got a new control panel, but guess what, the technician did not even make it to his truck before beep, beep, F1. He came back in and then said we needed to replace the display screen - an additional $217.00 with no labor charge. We told the man to shove it. I had every plan of taking the oven to our back tank and using it for target practice. But in good business practice, since this company already invested $572.00, we could not ask them to eat the money, so we allowed a third fix of the oven. While the technician was here, the oven made a horrible loud sound and shot out flames. He insisted maybe it was due to it sitting for a week without use. He left. I never noticed this flame before when the oven worked despite the F1 beeping. Now it’s hit and miss. Some days it will shoot out a flame once until it reaches 200+ degrees and then you can hear the fan kick in. Some days, twice, I have had it happen 3 times. If my children were to open the door during this event, I am sure they would be seriously burned. At first I was thinking maybe it is normal for this oven to shoot out flames during preheat mode since after $1300.00 repairs maybe it is just not functioning correctly. But if it were a normal function of the product, to me it would do it every time consistently and not three times, or two times on some occasions. I hate to admit this but I am almost fearful of using my oven. I currently have a pie to put in for dinner and I’m thinking its 3:09 pm; I could set the oven to preheat while I run to get my kids from school so if it decides to blow up, I am not home and that is pretty sad. The last repairman we had come out said in his personal opinion, he wouldn’t have repaired the oven, because they are known for issues, and he would have gone to Lowes and spent $300.00 on any off brand stove first. We have considered that, but this stove is extra-wide and the cabinetry is built around it. So for us to purchase an oven to slide right back in it would be another $1300.00-$2000.00. We have issues with the burners not always wanting to light. I almost caught on fire lighting one because it shot out flames when it decided to finally ignite. Sometimes it just clicks. Currently, I am down to two burners when just two days ago all six were working just fine. Over Thanksgiving, it took no kidding 1-hour to cook brown and serve rolls because the oven did not reach the set temperature. We stuck my husband’s bbq thermometer to see. It was 256 degrees, not the desired 350 degrees. Does this stove have warranty? We have no clue as the previous homeowner purchased the stove. She claims to have spent $5,000.00 on this stove or more during their purchase. We do not have warranty on our home so for each repair, it is out of pocket for us, and currently we really are thinking any knock off brand at Lowes would be a better product than a Dacor oven and less of a safety hazard for our family.

Dacor double oven range turns off by itself while baking - Disappointed in Dacor, especially today. Thanksgiving 2016: baking turkey. Sill baking turkey. I dont know when the oven decided to switch off this time, but I have an uncooked turkey and guests waiting. The oven has done this before, but because it was new I thought it was user error. Nope, the damn oven mysteriously turns off on its own. Incredibly irritated with Dacor. The range hood we also purchased is a joke. We remodeled our kitchen 1 year ago and wanted quality appliances. Bad move. Save your money, folks. Save your money.UPDATED ON 03/10/2017: Dacor sent a company out to fix the broken new oven. Oven still cannot hold its temperature (It takes FOREVER to heat then loses its heat while still showing a high temp). This time I have a recording on what happens when the oven automatically switches off. Disappointing when we spent nearly $10,000 in Dacor appliances for a kitchen remodel. DACOR, please have a rep contact me!!! Still waiting to hear back!!!

Dacor Worst Oven Ever. Major kitchen remodel in 2005. Designer recommended Dacor for great styling and the fact that it was a 36 inch oven. Before the kitchen was even finished the control panel had to be replaced. Since 2005 our local repair shop has had to replace the circuit board 9 times. Same issue every time with not heating and board found every time to be burned out! Dacor replaced the first few boards free but we had to cover the labor. To date more than 5,000 in repairs. Dacor would not replace the oven and had terrible customer service. Its down for the 12th time and its headed to the junkyard this time. I cant see spending another dime on this lemon. We have a new (one year old) home with Dacor appliances. The microwave oven went on the blink the first month but was repaired by a factory approved repairman. Something to do with the computer. Now the double oven will not hold a temperature. We set the oven at 420 and it only goes to 360 even though the readout shows 420. I purchased a Dacor Renaissance range for our new home. What a waste of money. Though I have not had any major problems with the performance of the range yet, besides uneven baking, the design is not user-friendly. To begin with, the gas burners share a grate. So when cleaning, you have to remove the whole grate on one side. The controls for the burners & griddle are very hard to see & I have to bend over to see which burner Im turning on. The oven racks are a joke. The two glide racks are very bulky with sharp edges. It is difficult to change the heights or to remove them for cleaning purposes. Though there are three racks included, it is impossible to bake with all three in the oven.I have a GE Monogram that I had purchased two years ago for another home, and I love it The Renaissance & Monogram are similar in price, but I unfortunately, listened to the sales person & let them talk me into the Renaissance. I realized my mistake in buying a Dacor immediately & contacted the appliance store. Even though the Renaissance had not been used, they would only give me a token amount of money towards trading it in for a Monogram. So, I am stuck with a range that causes me to swear under my breath every time I use it. Dacor could learn a lot from GE.

Do not buy a Dacor appliance unless youre okay with replacing parts for the oven in less than 2 years. The control electronic part was replace then less than a year later the user interface had to be replaced. Less than a year after the user interface was replaced, the oven completely stopped working. After calling the same repair guy to come fix it, they informed me that the company no longer sells the control interface. When I called the company, the only options they gave me were to send the part to a third party refurbish company and have them fix it. That means I would have to call the service repair company for the FOURTH time to have them remove the part, I would need to send it away to get fixed and call them back to put it back in. Dacor didnt even offer to pay for any of this. The customer service rep offered to give me a discount on a new unit. Are you kidding me?!? Please do yourself a favor and dont buy anything from this company. They dont back up their products and its clear they dont care about their reputation. Its a waste of money to be spend on high end appliances that are poorly made. Spend less from a different company thats been around for a long time. At least if a part goes, youll have reassurance they will have that part handy. A terrible company. I hope they go belly up soon so they can stop selling overly priced kitchen appliances to people.

We have a Dacor gas range RSD30R that we bought to upgrade our kitchen in 2002. We have had several issues with the range to date. The first issue we had with the range was the auto lock for the oven cleaning cycle that failed in 2007. It was not covered under warranty and cost $88. The second item to fail were the oven door springs. They also failed in 2007 and covered under warranty. They failed again in 2017 and had to be replaced for a second time. The springs are too weak to hold the weight of the heavy door. $68-$78 for the springs. The springs could easily be changed out as the brackets are still good but they only come as complete units. The last item to fail were the ignitors. Only one ignitor failed out of the four but as the spark module ignites all burners every time any one is turned on, premature failure could be expected as all ignitors light every time. This time the part is no longer available from Dacor. Dacor does not support any products they build after 7-8 years. Parts will no longer be available. I would not recommend Dacor Appliances to anyone as the manufacturer does not support their own products very long. I purchased Dacor to buy American and I regret it now. In contrast every product that Miele made even 20+ years ago, parts are still available directly from Miele and other suppliers as well.

I bought my Dacor epicure 36 duel fuel range in 1998. First stove: oven door did not close, spark modulator out. They tried to fix it but failed. They sent me a new stove. #2 stove: same problem with spark modulator. Couldnt use any burner without the constant clicking. Oven didnt bake evenly. Complained. Stove: #3: same problems. Dacor sent me a letter to grade them on their stoves and service. I blasted them. They called me and ask if I wanted my money back or another stove. Stupidly I took the stove. This was 5 years since the original purchase. Ive had this stove #4 for 13 years. Door is and always has been unable to close. I use a stick to close it. Now the relay board is out. Frankly I so love the looks of the stove and I cant afford to get a new one. Original was 5200. Now they are 6700 and I would probably have the same problems. So I am going to try and fix this stove myself. I will never buy Dacor anything ever again, even if I could afford it. When they offer your money back, take it. The service was responsive although didnt solve the problem through 4 stoves. I would gather from that, the design is bad. My mother has a old 1940 gas stove that still works. Gas stoves should not be that complicated.

Purchased Dacor Induction Range w Convection Oven RR30NIS-C in October 2013 and LOVE this range. Accidentally broke the glass on the induction cooktop with falling object mid-March 2020. Only the glass is broken, and all other electronics, induction burners, oven, etc are functioning fine. Called Dacor support to acquire part number for a glass top for repair - obtained part number #701751 superseded by #702285, BUT was informed that the part had been discontinued and is no longer being manufactured or kept in stock. No other advice was given other than to discard the entire $6000 range. Multiple phone calls with service.I asked for a listing of third party part distributors and was referred to four distributors on the Dacor public website and given no other info. I called all web-based third-party distributors I could find in USA and Canada to see if anyone had the part in stock, with no luck. I contacted two technicians to see if they would be able to obtain the part through their channels, with no luck. I am an engineer, so I spent some time pouring over technical manuals trying to find a solution to replace the entire induction range cooktop assembly (top part of the range) with a later model, and although its possible, Dacor would not provide the ability to purchase an RNR30NI range cooktop assembly that could be fit into the existing housing on top of the range. The convection oven is completely fine, and I cannot believe that Dacor has given me no other option but to pitch a six-year-old $6000 range because they stopped manufacturing one fragile part made of glass. I would imagine that many consumers may be in the same position as I, as these cooktops are breakable, and accidents happen. I have reached out to Dacor support desk numerous times without resolution, and I am at my wits end with a $6000 boat anchor in my kitchen. What a waste of money! Poorly done Dacor!I would like Dacor to provide me with some sort of solution whether it be the part required to fix my induction cooktop, or a replacement Induction Range with convection oven, or reimbursement of the purchase price so I can obtain a replacement on my own. If I am not able to find a solution to repair my range, I will never buy from Dacor again! Dacor will discontinue easily broken parts without warning! You may spend thousands of dollars and not be able to repair your appliance after warranty expires!

We had misfortune of owning whole suite of Dacor appliances for about two years now -- Cooktop, oven, microwave, and hood. The Ovens motor burnt out after few months of operation - This was covered and repaired by Dacor. Now Cooktop - Dacor Distinctive DRT366S/NG - just exploded with fire when we were cooking one night. This was very scary and dangerous situation. Dacor acknowledges that there was issue with this particular unit but they will not look at it or help us fix it. If you pay 5 times the price of a regular cooktop you would think that a company would have integrity to look into cases like fire and explosion to make sure these things not happen in the future but when they even refuse to look at the issue that tells you that they do not care. Imagine if GM/Ford told their customers that manufacturing faults are not covered anymore since the cars are out of warranty. I remodeled my kitchen about four years ago with all Dacor appliances. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I have since replaced the refrigerator after only two years. After spending over $1000 in repair calls and parts, I purchased a new refrigerator as the freezer motor went out and had water all over my floor countless times even after new parts were installed. The ovens also have been replaced (12 months ago) as the lower heating element went out and had the upper and lower ovens go out with panel failures. I was so stupid to install the 30-inch dishwasher, as well. It also went out after 18 months with a motherboard failure. The upper rack glider also fell apart. Having the 30- inch dishwasher, I would have had to have a carpenter come in and make adjustments to my new cabinets. So I found another 30-inch Dacor dishwasher at an appliance store in Memphis, had it shipped to me and installed. It has been 10 months and I am now having the same problem I had with the previous Dacor dishwasher. It never ends! With the only option left but to have the cabinet remodeled, I will be purchasing a third dishwasher 10 months later. The only good that came out of this is the cooktop is still working (as of this date). All I can say is, if it says Dacor, dont purchase the product! This company shouldnt even be in business! What is even more pathetic is, when you call the Customer Service number, their representatives have such a I could care less attitude. It is a waste of time to even attempt to seek a solution to your problem. I guess they feel that since they have your money now, its the consumers problem, not theirs.GE Profile products are far superior and a lot less money. It goes to show an expensive price tag doesnt mean the product is superior.

Weve had these appliances for 15 years. The cooktop has worked well. However, it could be improved with a lower lever for heating on its small burners, allowing it to simmer water rather than boil. The Dacor exhaust we purchased is one of those type that pop up out of the counter. It works but leaves much to be desired. When it runs, it pulls so much air the flame goes out on the burners. It is still not efficient at getting rid of cooking smells or smoke either, but that is simply a problem with all of this design so I cant fault Dacor. We have the biggest problem with the double oven. There are three main issues: 1) Whenever we run the self cleaning function, it pops the heat safety switch inside the oven housing so I need to take it apart to fix it. Hence we work to keep it clean so we never use the cleaning cycle. 2) The oven door gaskets prevent to door from closing and sealing all the way. The door tilts out app. ¾ because of this. We were told by the service guy who came to fix problem 1 above that this is the way the doors are(!). Our bottom one also tilts out but not as much. Ive dealt with this for 14 years! 3) We have to sand the burner electrodes on the cooktop to ensure they spark to light the burners at least 2-4 times per year. Not sure if that is normal or not.

When my husband and I built our home 11 years ago, I splurged and got a Dacor ERD36 36 dual fuel range. During the process of our build, our builder dropped my range during the installation. Dacor was very quick to send out a servicer to make sure the performance of the range was not compromised. The only thing that needed to be replaced was a bent bullnose in the front and the kickplate. I have had one service call in 11 years, which was last year after a brownout in my neighborhood caused my clock and oven setting to go crazy. It had nothing to do with function and had nothing to do with shoddy manufacturing. I just got it fixed and continue to use my range every day. I am looking to expand my island because I need another oven and I am very excited to add a Dacor oven to my home with zero hesitation. I am looking at a DO130S. I would buy Dacor over and over again!

As an add-on to my original review, I had a a service call to address the LC error code. The service company reconnected my unit, turned it on, ran a couple tests, and declared there was no issue. We ran the dishwasher 1 cycle and it worked just fine. Tried to run it again later that day, and the LC code was back again. To resolve the issue, I worked with the company I bought my appliances through to replace the Dacor dishwasher with a Bosch. That happened today, so it is too early to tell say how the Bosch works, but it is more solidly built, has more capacity and the door fully opens with the panel installed.Dacor did reach out to me to try to resolve this issue, so kudos to their customer support, but the issues were just too many. And as I stated in my original review, love the Dacor range top, double oven and refrigerator.

In 2010 we purchased a new Dacor Epicure Stainless Steel 42 refrigerator/freezer. Weve had to replace the freezer heating element (twice) because it fails and then the freezer ices up causing the system to stop cooling. This past week the fan began making a noise and so we had repairmen come out (yet again). Technician confirmed that the pan motor (fan in freezer) has failed. NO PART is available... I couldnt believe that parts wouldnt be available for a $10,000 high-end refrigerator that was purchased new only ten years old. I called Dacor directly and asked them how long they make parts available after they retire a model. The Dacor representative told me that they make parts available for 7 years. 7 YEAR PART AVAILABILITY ON AN APPLIANCE THAT SHOULD LAST 15-20 YEARS??? RUN AWAY FROM DACOR. Obviously customer service is low on their priority list. We will be replacing our gorgeous $10,000 ten-year old Dacor refrigerator/freezer (now a boat anchor) with Sub-Zero. Not too much more money than Dacor but they continue to make parts available for twenty years following model retirement. That is the kind of company that I want to do business with.

We purchased our range (Dacor Dual Fuel Range RSD30) in about 1997 thinking we had a good investment. We have replaced the bezel 5 times (the area that encloses the control area). Today the door glass has cracked. Whooppee! Merry Christmas! Each time I called about the bezel, I was told that they had a design flaw. The last time we had to replace the bezel and also pay for installation ourselves. We decided if this happened again, we would get rid of it. Well, it will be sooner than later as the oven glass has cracked. Needless to say, we are not return customers.

I wrote yesterday, perhaps a little too hastily that our motherboard was dead on our Dacor stove. The repairman came today and fixed it by removing it from the front of the stove and unplugging two plugs and plugging them back in. Everything works fine now and we are vastly relieved. The repairman commented that most people are very happy with their Dacor appliances and he doesnt repair them very often.Total relief. Also hope this doesnt happen again because though extremely simple to repair, it would become very tiresome to remove the motherboard and fiddle with the sophisticated circuitry if we had to do it ourselves. I wasnt watching real closely what the guy did and dont know if I could do it myself.

We purchased this oven February 2009. On 6/7/11, we had to replace the touch pad assembly. On 12/16/13, we again had to replace the touch pad assembly with a cost of repair to this point of over $900.00. The over cost $2,395.00 when purchased. On 3/16/14, while on convection/bake the oven switched over to broil. On 3/20/14, a repairman came to the house. The condition did not replicate but the repairman, in conversation with Dacor, determined that the fix, if this should happen again, would require the replacement of the relay board and ERC control at a cost of $700.00. On 3/27/14, while on convection/bake, the oven switched over to broil. I called Dacor and was forced to leave a message.

Dont waste your $$ move on to another MFG. I have owned this dishwasher for some time it never worked anywhere near what I paid for it. The glides fell out of the racks. It never finishes a cycle. I have spent $350 for repairs three times and it is still way less than satisfactory. Move on, try a Maytag, Bosch or Miele. Also parts are astronomical and you will need them. This range was installed in January 2003. The door on the larger oven was replaced soon after because it would not close tightly and still doesnt with the new door. I have always thought that the oven temperature is lower than it should be but have been told twice that it is accurate, tell that to the turkey. The heating element on the large oven was replaced 2 years ago. Four of the burners dont light and have to be lit manually, this has been going on for 10 years. The relay board has burned out and now has to be replaced, $800.00 fix. The technician just left and could not replace it, he couldnt access the tight spot that it was in and wanted to cut the barrier panel to get access to it. He decided not to do the job and told me to call Dacor to get another repair service, which I just did. I was prompted to write this after reading other reviews and remarks. I hope this helps someone out there to buy a different brand.

Purchased a Dacor DT0227B wall oven. The first oven arrived damaged; the control panel was completely off the unit. We ordered a replacement oven which arrived today. Upon turning on the power, error codes C76 and C77 appeared on the control panel display. The installers phoned your service people who instructed them to remove the front panel and look for a loose wire. When they removed the front panel, the entire control board was just hanging free, not secured in place with any screws (it appeared that this was an assembly error). They found a wire hanging, secured it in place, reattached the control panel and applied power. At this time the error codes were no longer displayed and they were able to set the time. When they attempted to start up an oven cycle to test the unit, the Start/Continue button on the membrane keypad was not responding. Another call to your service team determined that the control panel would need to be replaced. 2 ovens within 2 weeks arrived DEAD! The quality is beyond unacceptable. I sent an e-mail to the CEO of the company before I posted this. I received a response from a QA guy. Any manufacturing company that thinks Quality is the responsibility of QA is working with a 1950s mindset!! Dacor is pitiful and will certainly not last as a company with this kind of quality and customer service!!

I recently upgraded my kitchen and had always heard that Dacor has been a reliable high end brand for kitchen appliances. Their refrigerators have a lot of space, and everything can be easily organized. All the appliances work as intended, and they also all look great. The stainless steel Dacor uses to make these appliances look smooth and clean, making it one of the most beautiful kitchen appliances I have ever owned. If you want a functioning kitchen with appliances that always look nice and shiny, then I would highly recommend Dacor.

Regarding my previous complaint on 3/21/12, I had a Dacor fridge, model #EF42BDCBSS, installed in my brand new kitchen in March 2008 (Ive a kitchen full of Dacor). It subsequently had a problem with the drip pan in March 2009 and was fixed on warranty. Come March 2012, the fridge was again diagnosed with the same problem. The technician told me there had been a design problem, but after three re-designs, it was remedied and should have no further problems once the new part was installed. The bill, $658 and more than half, was for the part! Of course, I was livid because the fridge had been fixed in 2009 and was now off warranty. When I expressed myself originally, I was simply venting about the price of the repair without hope of a remedy. James at Dacor customer service called me promptly that next morning and left a message! We subsequently talked and he immediately got in touch with my local appliance service center. He not only worked out with them refunding my deposit for the part but also ordered two other parts that were necessary in order to fix the problem. The outcome? They fixed my fridge at no charge to me for parts or labor, and all I had to pay was the original trip and diagnosis charge. I cant begin to tell you how extremely happy and grateful I am about this. Thank you, James, for such terrific follow-through and thank you Dacor for being a top-notch business who stands behind your products!

We purchased a Dacor dual fuel oven range in 2008 in conjunction with an extensive kitchen remodel. It was beautiful and expensive. It has had innumerable problems. 2008: One of the igniters broke requiring replacement. 2014: oven stopped working, required new relay board. June 2020: Relay board again broke, oven stopped working. December 2020: Oven stopped working, heating element broke. These were serious problems each resulting in 1-2 months without an oven as the parts had to be special ordered. We have not had an oven since December 2020 (it is now March 2021). We are waiting for a replacement part. In addition, minor problems included a broken indicator light and burner grating. Dacor customer service was only moderately helpful, referring us to local repair companies that had difficulty obtaining parts. Dacor has told us that this should last decades but we are seriously considering replacing it after 12 years because it is very unreliable. I would not recommend a Dacor based on our experience.

This week Dacor installed my 2nd replacement gas range. I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago and chose Dacor because I had a great experience with their appliances in the past, had their oven and stove in my kitchen for 15+ years and never had a problem. With the first new range, the oven started to automatically shut off due to excess heat escape, so the safety feature would kick in and shut the system down, in addition the knobs would become very hot even when the over was used briefly, 12-15 minutes. I was very impressed and happy with the customer service through Dacor, they immediately gave me a brand new over. Exactly another year, the new oven had the same problem, door begins to not hinge properly and heat begins escape, knobs get dangerously hot. This week Dacor very kindly, replaced my appliance with the new Dacor Renaissance 36. I used the oven for 12 minutes on 400 and the entire exterior is dangerously hot. I do not have any children, however, if I did I would be terrified that they could seriously injure themselves. The exterior of an oven should not become hot like this. Has anyone else had this issue with Dacor? I feel they have been very responsive with regards to customer service however I want an appliance that is safe.

Purchased Dacor Renaissance wall oven in July 2015, Model RNO130S. After less than a year and a half, the cooking temperature began to fail. For instance, set to bake at 425 degrees, the oven would appear to heat properly, but tried and true recipes would be pasty and uncooked at the expected time. I inserted an oven thermometer inside to test and found an erratic pattern of oven heating up properly to 425 but then sometimes dropping back to about 350 during cook time and refusing to ever reach 425 again. Less than two years ago, we purchased a Dacor classic wall oven from a local high end appliance store in Durham, NC. Within a few months, the electronics started getting glitchy; the oven started beeping in the middle of the night. I turned off the beep, but other problems started popping up. I baked a pie which was half raw on one side and overcooked on the other side -- not exactly what you would expect from a nearly $5000 oven. Recently, the display has been blinking in codes and the oven has been turning itself off. When I tried to call customer service, I was repeatedly put on hold for 30 minutes after which the system disconnected me. When I finally spoke to a person, she was very rude. The second time, it was covered under the parts warranty when a terminal was bad. Now, I need another relay board and a new element which will cost over $700 to replace. For an oven that was originally over $3000, this is not acceptable, but what other choice do I have? The technician told me that Dacor has the worst mark up for replacement parts. We purchased a Dacor Epicure dual fuel range when we built our house 7 years ago. It was the most expensive appliance we bought and we wish we hadnt. We have had no problems with the stove top, but the oven, specifically the broiler unit has been a consistent problem. We rarely use the broiler and use the oven perhaps 2 or 3 times a month. Yet, the igniter had to be replaced in March of 2008 and again, in June of 2010. In January of 2011, the broil gas valve was changed and now in September, the broiler is again not working. I cant see pouring any more money into this appliance and will sell as soon as I find a buyer willing to take a chance on it. We have been greatly disappointed in this product.

My Dacor (3 years old) oven top burners igniters dont stop after being turned on, although they are burning. Ive tried drying them for many hours and applying rubbing alcohol. The front ones do this all the time when we turn them on. When we turn the left front burner on, the front right ones igniter does it along with the left! The back ones do it occasionally, so are still usable. Apparently this is a common problem with Dacor units. Why havent they fixed it? Weve had them fix the electronic panel at huge expense, and are not going to call them again. When the back burners stop working, well get another unit. We purchased this range after remodeling our kitchen. We opted for the Dacor because of the deep oven that the other high end ovens did not have. I am an avid baker so this was a plus. After a year and half the oven stopped working, it was not getting hot. Thankfully is was still under warranty and it was repaired. The technician determined it was the oven control thermostat that was not working. Fast forward two years and again the same problem, along with the right front burner now also not working. And wouldnt you know it, the warranty is expired. Another technician came out again and stated to fixed the two problems it would be approx $250.00 just for labor and not including parts. CRAZY INSANE!!! If we would have known all the problems and we would have purchased either a Wolf, a Thermador or even a Monogram. How can so many issues and problems be happening with an range that is only 4 years old? Especially one that costs over $6000. It has to be a lemon or poorly manufactured. In August of 2005, I purchased a Dacor pro range. In December 2005, the control panel began to blink and lose display. Dacor gave me names of 2 authorized repair people. After several visits by a repairman, I phoned Dacor and was told to call a repairman. They obviously didnt listen to me! The repairman spoke with Dacor representative who responded that the display needed to be ‘rebooted just like a computer.’ Several times a month, I must go to the electric control panel in my basement to turn the breaker switch off and on in an effort to ‘reboot’. In September 2010, the display panel went dark and could not be ‘rebooted’. I had to replace to control the membrane at a cost of $530.69 plus $169 for labor and a service call. On Thanksgiving 2010, the ‘new’ display panel which was obviously defective, stopped working. Once again, a new membrane had to be ordered and installed incurring another service and labor charge! I sent a letter to Dacor wanting reimbursement of labor/service on original defective membrane and was advised that they warranty their products, not the service! It is now November 16, 2011 and I still must continuously ‘reboot’ the control panel! However, I spoke to an authorized Dacor repairman who told me that Dacor has had many complaints such as mine and now have a devise which attaches to the power cord and filters out the ‘noise’ from other household items which disrupts the control panel on my oven! Is there a reason why Dacor is keeping this a secret? Do they not want to make their consumers happy? I cant wait to be rid off this appliance and all association with the Dacor company!

The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house in 2010. I would never buy any Dacor product again. I will have to look for a replacement for the gas cooktop range. The Dacor gas cooktop is OK except that EVERY time you turn on a burner, one or two of other igniters start clicking and wont stop until you find which one it is (not always the same) and turn it on and off. Please heed this and all the other warnings from the choir. DO NOT BUY DACOR!It is all very expensive junk. The oven temperatures fluctuate while baking. The oven range unit is out of warranty. So our home warranty AHS covered it but they kept sending out the same grubby slob who never fixed the problem but did charge us for the $75.00 service fee. They replaced the oven controller and the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. We have a full size oven that we cannot use! Then F1 beeping nonstop, and we have to turn power off to stop it. Now, out of the blue the downdraft fan just started extending and retracting over and over again with no way to stop it without going back to the electrical panel and flipping the breaker that it is wired into. That leaves us with no kitchen and no bathroom plugs! I hung up after 35 minutes on hold. I was just trying to find a certified technician in Bend, OR. Piss Poor Products and Very poor customer service.

Updated on 05/12/2020: I wrote a review of our Dacor kitchen and gave the company a review of 2 stars because the cooktop, ovens, and hood blower all have failed at some point. The real issue is that the company doesnt support products after sale to quote them they do their best... The other problem is this site, it allows companies to claim they are or have resolved issues, without a response or comment from the customer about what the Companies Resolution entailed. Sending me an e-mail that says sorry the thousands of dollars you invested in our products only bought you up to 7 years of replacement parts, isnt what most people would call a Resolution. After months of working with the retailer and Dacor the e-mail below is what they consider a Resolution:Subject: Dacor customer service **Hello Mr. **, We would first like to thank you for staying a Dacor customer for as long as you have and would like to apologized for the inconvenience. As a manufacture we are constantly innovating products and at some point parts and units do become obsolete. Dacor does provide parts for as long as we possibly can. Once the appliance becomes obsolete we are only required to hold parts for up to 7 years. We again thank you for being a Dacor customer. Be safe during this pandemic. Have a great day. DENISE ** | Customer Service RepresentativeO: (833) 353-5483 x** F: (626) 403-3130Original Review: We built a new home in 2003 and purchased Dacor Preference appliances. Including a 6 burner cooktop, double 30 inch wall ovens, warming drawer, a microwave, and large hood with a remote blower. All the appliances are stainless. We enjoy home cooked meals and prepared at least one meal a day. Our kitchen is a work place not a show place. So these are my feelings after 16 years of use.The Cooktop has plastic knobs and a rubber gasket under each burner and piezo electric igniters. All of these items have failed over the years. I replaced the burners some years ago because when the gasket fails the burners sputter and liquid spills leak into the bottom of the cooktop. Replacement burners fixed the problem for a while but the burner design makes this a point of failure. Additionally, the burners were expensive so were back to sputtering burners and disassembly for cleaning. One of the plastic rings under the flame control knobs broke, weve ordered a new ring ($26) a couple of months ago but Dacor cant give us an estimated delivery date. For the past few years the Piezo electric starters only light half the burners, (they spark but the burners dont light) not a big deal but these are high end appliances, using a match to light the burners is definitely 1950s.The 30 inch double ovens are a great size for bakers like us. The Convection feature is great. However, the first time we ran the self cleaning cycle on the upper oven the door handle on the bottom oven bubbled and melted. The real issue with ovens today, is that Dacor has stopped making replacement parts including the electric heating elements. So even though we spent nearly $3,200 for these ovens, Dacor no longer supports them. The Microwave never worked correctly and we replaced it almost immediately. At that time Dacor used relabeled Sharp microwaves. Finally, Im not a fan of cooking smells in the house. So, we purchased 48 inch hood with a 10 inch inline blower. This week it failed. The motor hums but the fan doesnt turn. So replacement parts? Nope. If you decide to purchase Dacor be aware that the company doesnt provide support for their products in the long term.

Motherboard on my favor wall oven has been replaced twice. Repairman said not use the self-cleaning feature as that will cause too high of heat and melt the components. Seriously, Dacor? We spend this kind of money and have these type of repair issues constantly. Just glad I finally was told what might help resolve this - I’m ready for a new oven because of all these problems.

I purchased a single wall oven in 2008 and 30 days out of warranty, the oven broke. Service required two service calls to fix the door magnets. A third visit was required as the oven codes shut down the unit. The last two service calls have been with the cooling fan. Now that the fan was replaced, the relay board needs replacement, too. I have spent $650 in service alone, which is separate from the cost of parts. There’s no help from customer service; in fact, the rep was downright rude. I will never purchase this brand again and I have told anyone who will listen not to purchase.

I replaced my Thermador Wall ovens with Dacor because the size and I would have to do less retro-fitting of my cabinetry, this was a grave mistake. Here are the issues with Dacor.1. The high heat sensor trips and you need to call a service professional to have it reset. This gets very expensive. I have tripped mine three times, once baking a cake at 350 degrees, once during self-cleaning and another during normal cooking. The Dacor Service Help said this was a common problem because the heat sensor is located near to the touch panel.2. The oven vents from the bottom of the unit into the room heating my kitchen.3. The glass window does not seal so I have stains in-between the panes of glass. Not very attractive to stare at large drip stains.4. It takes an exceptionally long time to pre-heat oven and convection mode even longer.5. The temperature cycles through and does not maintain its cooking temperature causing underdone results and longer cooking times. This is especially challenging when cooking roasts and large turkeys because they may take up to an hour longer than expected.Overall, I do not recommend this product.

Unfortunately, the screw broke in two that held our Dacor refrigerator door on and much to our dismay, the door fell off. Dacor was prompt and courteous in sending a replacement lower refrigerator door hinge to the service company and covered the full cost of labor even though they initially said the refrigerator was out of warranty (two years old). Our experience was positive with James who gave timely and a customer-focused response. He also called to follow-up after the repair to make sure we were happy which I appreciated. I hated that the door broke but was very pleased with the repair and the fact that I did not have to pay.

The oven I purchased is the Dacor double oven, model number - ECD230SCH, I purchased extended warranty on the ovens. This was purchased when I bought the ovens. I have renewed this and still have a warranty for 2 more years. I cannot get anyone to do the repair on this oven. My location is at the Sardis Lake. I cannot get anyone out to service. I do not know if you have any thing to do with this. I have had an oven out since June 2013. Please help, Dacor should have service reps in this area. I am in Sardis Ms.

I have 2 single ovens side by side and have a cooktop and ventilation system - my experience with the cooktop and vent (2000) was so good that I did not hesitate to buy Dacor MorS130S ovens. They were installed in my new kitchen in September of 2012. I had my cooktop and ventilation system reinstalled. My daughter accidentally cleaned the oven without taking out the GlideRacks (which are hard to take out). We oiled them, etc., like the manual says if they are accidentally left in - they will not glide at all and now I am being told $300 each to replace excluding the cost of the service call. This is ridiculous. What kind of design is so poor that racks would get in this condition? I had Bosch ovens before and their warranty was wonderful and I, luckily, bought a Miele dishwasher which has a 10-year warranty. I would not buy Dacor again because of the warranty and because of this problem. I am beyond disappointed as I love my cooktop etc. I feel that Dacor should at least pay for part of these GlideRacks.

In 2001, I bought a Dacor dual range stove. I paid over $2000. My problem is that there is a defect in the product; when you use the self-cleaning, the outside of the stove cracks up. Dacor has replaced this three times and each time it cracks again. I spoke with them about a year ago and because I didnt continue the warranty, they wouldnt replace it. I carry a home warranty. My stove looks like it came from the junkyard. I understand them not repairing a physical problem with the stove but the outside is crumbling because of a defect in their product. If you dont clean the oven, then you get an error and the only way to get it off is to clean but all that dose causes the outside to crack up more. It pains me to think of buying a new range when I thought I had done my homework, when I choose Dacor. I hope this isnt too late, but it pains me to think after another cleaning I may be forced to buy another stove.

I just had an appliance repair company come out to let me know what is wrong with my Dacor Stove door, since it wont close. He said the hinges are needing to be replaced. He said that he replaces these hinges on Dacor stoves ALL THE TIME and that the company really needs to file a recall on these hinges and/or reimburse consumers who have these installed. He said these should not go bad like they do. That this is poor manufacturing on Dacors part and they are not being held accountable. I agree 100%. It is going to cost me with labor and parts almost $ 400.00 to replace these hinges that should not go bad with the age of the stove. Thanks.

We thought we bought a quality product when we remodeled our kitchen two years ago and put in a $3000 30 inch wall oven from Dacor through their dealer Friedman’s in Knoxville. We had heard for years that their products were top notch and high-quality. I find it interesting that the oven has a self-cleaning function. However Dacor Technical advised me that if you use the self-cleaning function you will create too much heat and destroy the motherboard. Wonderful input after the fact. The oven now does not keep a correct temperature and we are advised that our oven is two years old and out of warranty and we should not have used the self clean function. Really? Why is the button even there. Do not under any circumstances purchase any Dacor product. I feel comfortable in saying Samsung will add absolutely nothing to the quality or service. The lack of customer care and concern is beyond reproach. One star rating is way too generous. How do you just walk away from your products. We used our clean function exactly once and nobody ever said it was a self destruct button.
