I have been getting the run around from Dacor regarding a part that I paid
I have been getting the run around from Dacor regarding a part that I paid $700 to fix an interior light that comes on and off like a strobe light. After the local service company installed the part, recommended as the fix by Dacor, the issue returned. I contacted the technician again and that is when the run around started by Dacor. I was told to contact the customer service line and tell my story which I did, only to be told that the Range is too old and they dont stand behind the warranty nor service anymore. They said beyond 5 years they dont do anything for the customer.I paid $8000 for this range back in 2005 and it has worked just great until this recent issue. If I had known that there was no service nor any parts for the fix I would have just dismantled the interior light. But why did they recommend the part I did purchase to begin with? Are they just trying to increase revenues by advising customers to buy parts that wont work? DO NOT BUY DACOR PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ON THE HOOK FOR REPAIRS AFTER ONLY 5 YEARS! This company has rude customer service agents and they do not stand behind their name!

We purchased a home with a 5 year old Dacor Discovery IQ Double Wall Oven.
We purchased a home with a 5 year old Dacor Discovery IQ Double Wall Oven. Model Number DYO230S. Great looking and it has a very sophisticated and functionally rich digital control system. Problem is the digital control system does not work. The stove has a mind of its own and will just shut off for 24 to 48 hours and return to function randomly. Shutting the power off and turning it back on has no effect. Dacor (Now Samsung) has been completely un-helpful. Bottom line response - tough. Product is no longer produced, replacement parts no longer in stock - maybe there is a part on eBay ** Honest that is the answer. I have called parts companies who also complain about Dacor (now Samsung). No luck. So we will now need to purchase a replacement product for anywhere from 4,000 to 10,000 dollars. To replace a 5 year old - 8,000 product. It will definitely not be a Dacor or Samsung product. And I will do my best to put similar reviews on the internet where ever I can.Just to add some balance - 21 years ago we custom built a home and purchased two Dacor ovens. Both were great. 21 years of flawless operation. When we saw this oven as we went through the home purchase process we were delighted. What a disappointment. Also - before the oven started to go wacky on us we needed to replace the bulbs (2) in the oven light fixture. Initially I contacted Dacor parts and had a very pleasant experience ordering the two replacements. However nothing came to our home. Called again and found that Dacor had been sold to Samsung and the price of the bulbs had doubled or more. No exaggeration. Stay away from Dacor and Samsung.

The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house
The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house in 2010. I would never buy any Dacor product again. I will have to look for a replacement for the gas cooktop range. The Dacor gas cooktop is OK except that EVERY time you turn on a burner, one or two of other igniters start clicking and wont stop until you find which one it is (not always the same) and turn it on and off. Please heed this and all the other warnings from the choir. DO NOT BUY DACOR!It is all very expensive junk. The oven temperatures fluctuate while baking. The oven range unit is out of warranty. So our home warranty AHS covered it but they kept sending out the same grubby slob who never fixed the problem but did charge us for the $75.00 service fee. They replaced the oven controller and the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. We have a full size oven that we cannot use! Then F1 beeping nonstop, and we have to turn power off to stop it. Now, out of the blue the downdraft fan just started extending and retracting over and over again with no way to stop it without going back to the electrical panel and flipping the breaker that it is wired into. That leaves us with no kitchen and no bathroom plugs! I hung up after 35 minutes on hold. I was just trying to find a certified technician in Bend, OR. Piss Poor Products and Very poor customer service.

Wow! I wish I had read this website before we built our house 3 years ago. I have a 5 burner Dacor cook-top that has been nothing but trouble since day one! I have 5 different appliance brands in my kitchen and the Dacor is the only one that has caused continuous problems. I was so mad at the repair man today I hung up on him (poor guy, I see now Dacor is the problem). The cook-top has exploded three times. ow when I say exploded, I am not joking at all. I mean the explosion blew the cook-top up and burners off, blew the cabinet doors underneath open, flames shot out and the house shook. One of the times, my one year old son was standing next to it. I was so upset I ran into the other room with him and sat on the floor and we both cried. It was terrifying! I have had a repair man here 6 times over the last 5-ish weeks (Yes, I didnt have a stove over Thanksgiving and I was the host; its not looking good for Christmas either and we have 4 kids). They have replaced, cleaned and fixed everything possible. They then pointed the finger numerous times at the propane company (which they now have determined it is not a propane problem for sure). Today the repair company called me (by the way, they have been constant contact with their Decor rep Rob about the problems) and said they are done. My expensive 3 year old cook top is not repairable. They have exhausted every possibility. They have been here 6 times and the propane company three times. I have a hole in my granite counter top cut specifically for the cook-top and am told that every cook-top is a different size so I do not know what I am going to do. I called Dacor today and asked to speak to someone who could help me to no avail. I then asked for someone (anyone) to call me back today. You guessed it. Theres been no call back. This is getting really old. How many weeks does this need to go on (dont answer that)? Another problem that I have just lived with is that the stove continually clicks for quite a while after you are cooking. I was told to clean it a certain way. I did that and it didnt work. The repair man did it; it didnt work. The repair man said something was loose inside and tightened it. It still didnt work. I guess I could live with the click. It is the explosions that I need fixed.

48 in. Range - Wish I had read reviews first would NEVER have purchased Dacor. Paid almost 11,000.00 for a range so many issues they replaced it. New range came with 7 defects. It has been over a month and nothing has been done about it. Everyone keeps passing the buck and I am sitting with an high end expensive product and no help from Dacor. I am being very patient but also very frustrated at this point.

I have a Dacor cooktop, single wall oven, warming drawer, and dishwasher that I installed in my kitchen in 1992. That is 20 years ago. I have never had a problem or needed a repair on any of the appliances. They have worked perfectly. I hate reading about all the problems people are having with their Dacor appliances as I am about to do a major kitchen remodel and plan to go with Dacor again.

We bought this oven and had it installed a month ago. Id love to love it, but unfortunately I dont even like it. Immediately after installation I noticed the touchpad for the bottom oven didnt work. I called Dacor and spent quite a bit of time while someone did the standard is the power on run through. I was told someone would have to call me back in the morning, at 9 am. The next day at 10 am having not heard a word, I called back. I was given the option to be called back (you wont lose your place, and our first rep...) Great! Nope. Four hours later still nothing. I called back again. Someone answered quickly and after a short call arranged for a service person to come out in a few days.Fast forward a few days and the serviceman arrives. Hes clearly never seen this kind of oven. He calls Dacor and talks to their troubleshooting department. They decide the motherboard is bad and reorder. Well, its been 10 days. *crickets*. There is no sense of urgency... In fact nobody even seems to care that my $7500.00 oven doesnt work and the microwave literally cant even pop popcorn. I would expect the company to rush delivery of the part. If need be replace the whole oven and figure out what is wrong with the motherboard on your own time. What I didnt expect is for literally everyone involved in the process of choosing and buying the appliance to not be able to find a solution. I give my new oven 1 star out of 10, because it looks nice. Id rather have an oven that doesnt have a smart feature and actually works. FAIL Dacor.

It had now been over 2 months without a working refrigerator and no end in sight. I will never ever purchase one of their products again! They replaced the compressor and 3 days later it stopped cooling again. What a joke! DO NOT BUY DACOR!

From the beginning, August 1997, 17 years ago, I was not able to use my oven after self-cleaning. The problem was never resolved after countless service calls totaling over $1500. Aside from the cost, I was inconvenienced every time I cleaned my oven, as I was not able to use it until it was serviced, about a two week wait. I contacted Dacor early on and they reluctantly agreed to extend my warranty for a year. They did nothing beyond that, and my oven still shuts down after self-cleaning, which I hesitate to do at all, until it is beyond needing cleaning! The circuit board was replaced and recently the cooling fan was changed, but....no luck. Buying a new oven is not an alternative, as the oven performs well in every other way and I simply cannot afford one. I cannot believe a company of such status is not interested in satisfying its customers.

I spent a lot of money buying a Dacor double wall oven because it was supposed to be top of the line and dependable. Now, the circuit board needs to be replaced and the oven is just 5 years old! This seems absolutely ridiculous for an oven this young to have such a major problem! I am very upset about all the money I am going to have to spend to fix it. Ive never, ever had any oven problems with other brands like this in my life. We remodeled our kitchen and I thought I was getting something better and now I realize that this brand is not living up to my expectations at all! I am using an authorized Dacor repair company and they told me that they are seeing lots of problems with this brand. I do not recommend this oven to anyone.

I am very happy with my purchase, it is stylish and works well. The drawer is spacious, I can fit multiple food items in it and they all cook evenly. We use it daily and couldn't be happier with it. If I ever move, I will purchase this microwave drawer again.

Got a great online deal on Dacor LP gas range. Was new but had dinged side panel according to store. Couldnt see the ding in photos and it would be hidden against cabinets anyway. Range is finally delivered and is new as advertised. Works great for a few days but then the oven wont hold temperature and then wont light. This is when the nightmare begins. Samsung now owns Dacor and getting to the right people to make a warranty claim is insanely difficult. After making the repair claim we get notified that there is no warranty coverage for service as this was not a new unit. Pardon me but we have the sales receipt showing that it is with full factory warranty. They finally agree to accommodate us and then repeatedly cancel repair tickets. After many calls to fix this, they now tell us that no service center will come to repair the range! They offered a refund minus some sort of discount based on a stove being used for a period of time. Oven stopped working a week into having it and they want to DISCOUNT a refund! Made BBB complaint and their response was they would have someone reach out to the customer. Today they did that and we are still at no resolution. Told them they have 3 options, fix the range, replace the range or refund us completely and I will make arrangements to fix the oven. They say there are no ranges in inventory to replace this one with with. No one inside the US will call or reach out to fix this fiasco and we are left with someone that is not allowed to make decisions that speaks english as a second language. Sad thing is that its a basic range that at first seemed to be a great design and would be great to have in our kitchen. Its now endless headaches because Dacor refuses to step up and remedy a defective oven part with a service call from someone that would require likely higher pay than their network providers.

My Dacor (3 years old) oven top burners igniters dont stop after being turned on, although they are burning. Ive tried drying them for many hours and applying rubbing alcohol. The front ones do this all the time when we turn them on. When we turn the left front burner on, the front right ones igniter does it along with the left! The back ones do it occasionally, so are still usable. Apparently this is a common problem with Dacor units. Why havent they fixed it? Weve had them fix the electronic panel at huge expense, and are not going to call them again. When the back burners stop working, well get another unit. Ive had gas stoves for 30 years and have never experienced anything like this poor quality. Its amazing that they are still in business.

I purchased a Dacor Double Oven 5 years ago. It is a beautiful design, but unfortunately a piece of junk. Over the 5 years I have had the oven, I have had service technicians repair the oven on 7 different occasions. Unfortunately, my oven is not out of warranty and has failed once again. Today was my 8th attempt at service and the service technician could not get the oven working. I have called Dacor, pleading with them to stand behind their product and to replace this useless piece of equipment. I continue to get L22 error codes, and the main circuit board had been replaced twice. After persistently calling Dacor’s customer service, they finally said they would sell me a new oven at a discounted price to the tune of $4800 plus tax, shipping and installation. I ask myself, why would I want to buy another piece of junk? If Dacor wont stand behind their products, perhaps someone should initiate a class action suit against them.

I am amazed by the sleek look and design of the new Modernist refrigeration Dacor has to offer. The built in column pairing is my favorite with all stainless steel interior, tempered glass, and LED lighting that WOWs anyone who opens the door. When I bought my house, the previous owners told me that theyd been having problems with the Dacor oven. They had purchased a replacement burner and prepaid the Dacor authorized service technician to install it for us. We have worked for three years now to get Dacors authorized service representative to install the part for which he has already been paid, and have been using a toaster oven to prepare meals for a family of four the entire time. The oven will heat to 135 degrees, then either shut off completely or immediately switch to broiling mode and burn whatever is inside it. When I called Dacor to see if they could help with the service issue since the technician was authorized by them, they told me it was my problem, not theirs. Although if the product they manufactured wasnt faulty in the first place, it wouldnt be anyones problem!

Years ago I purchased the Dacor Double Oven over a Thermador because the Thermador had a ridiculously long pre-heat time. The Dacor has performed reasonably well as a oven particularly in convection-bake mode. But over time, components started failing and repair parts were hard to find, unavailable or ridiculously overpriced. I am an an engineer with DIY skills honed from years working with high tech food manufacturing equipment and controls including ovens. In recent years, I have needed to replace a relay board, the main control board, hinges two times, and most recently the hinge receptacles. I have also replaced an inner panel on a door assembly. Just think what such repairs would have cost for an average consumer. I understand the parts can fail, but Dacor has shown little regard for consumers in my opinion. They have done very little to maintain an inventory of repair parts. Basically their message is that the part is now obsolete and unavailable. Thats some answer when the price of a new double oven is multiple thousands. Recently, the hinges on my upper oven failed again. As they failed, their failure caused increased wear on the hinge receptacles. Soon the receptacles failed as well. I was able to find hinges at a ridiculously high price but the receptacles were unavailable anywhere. I contacted a several parts suppliers who told me that they had no idea when the parts would be available. Moreover at least two of the suppliers mentioned that they had a backlog of orders for the receptacles - one had a backlog of over thirty. Yikes!. At that point I contacted Dacor customer service and asked what could I do to get the part. Answer: The part is unavailable and we have no estimate on when it will be available. I tried to escalate my request and got nowhere. Finally after many hours of online searching, I found one set of the hinge receptacles at a price 4X last years price. Lastly as I replaced the receptacles today, I realized that the mounting screws only hold one portion of the U shaped mount. If the screws were longer, the receptacle would be less prone to twisting and wear. Be aware that Dacor was sold to Samsung a few years back. Based on my experience, I could never recommend Dacor. Caveat Emptor!

Dacor Worst Oven Ever. Major kitchen remodel in 2005. Designer recommended Dacor for great styling and the fact that it was a 36 inch oven. Before the kitchen was even finished the control panel had to be replaced. Since 2005 our local repair shop has had to replace the circuit board 9 times. Same issue every time with not heating and board found every time to be burned out! Dacor replaced the first few boards free but we had to cover the labor. To date more than 5,000 in repairs. Dacor would not replace the oven and had terrible customer service. Its down for the 12th time and its headed to the junkyard this time. I cant see spending another dime on this lemon. I purchased this upgrade to my kitchen renovation. The stainless steel stove has a great look, but that is all it has. This is my third repair (with much difficulty). The same problem - the bake ignitor goes bad and sends gas smells throughout the kitchen. On Christmas day, after preheating the oven, I opened the oven door and the inside was one large flame. The heat was intense and my right arm got hot from the heat. I immediately closed the oven and cancelled the bake setting. When I called Dacor the following morning, I thought I was talking with a robot. No emotions, no sense of caring. They must be programmed. I got no satisfaction. I said, Do you understand? My stove went on fire and on Christmas day. My family was not sure if they should leave my house. I am extremely disappointed with Dacor.

We purchased our second Dacor microwave. When received there was a defect on the stainless front panel which we reported to Dacor (now owned by Samsung). They took claim information and we were referred to their service provider. A Samsung inspector subsequently visited our home and got approval from his superior. We were told the panel had been ordered. Two follow up calls revealed that there was a problem and we were referred back to Dacor only to learn the claim was overruled and denied. A subsequent appeal was made to no avail. Our warning is that Dacor repairs are very expensive and they do not back up their service warranties. Buyer beware.

We purchased a Dacor Epicure dual fuel range when we built our house 7 years ago. It was the most expensive appliance we bought and we wish we hadnt. We have had no problems with the stove top, but the oven, specifically the broiler unit has been a consistent problem. We rarely use the broiler and use the oven perhaps 2 or 3 times a month. Yet, the igniter had to be replaced in March of 2008 and again, in June of 2010. In January of 2011, the broil gas valve was changed and now in September, the broiler is again not working. I cant see pouring any more money into this appliance and will sell as soon as I find a buyer willing to take a chance on it. We have been greatly disappointed in this product.

Subsequently the door lock failed in the lock position - had that repaired. The door lock failed the next year again, this time thanksgiving, ruined the dinner. They fixed it but the following year the lower burner element failed at Thanksgiving. All my relatives know not to purchase a Dacor product. Problem is I am stuck with this boat anchor. The oven door motor has failed 3 more times and thankfully the service man showed me how to change it. Today we tried to bake some apple pies and found the oven temperature set at 450 was only 350 (bought an oven thermometer). This explains why it always takes so long to bake things. I bought my Dacor epicure 36 duel fuel range in 1998. First stove: oven door did not close, spark modulator out. They tried to fix it but failed. They sent me a new stove. #2 stove: same problem with spark modulator. Couldnt use any burner without the constant clicking. Oven didnt bake evenly. Complained. Stove: #3: same problems. Dacor sent me a letter to grade them on their stoves and service. I blasted them. They called me and ask if I wanted my money back or another stove. Stupidly I took the stove. This was 5 years since the original purchase. Ive had this stove #4 for 13 years. Door is and always has been unable to close. I use a stick to close it. Now the relay board is out. Frankly I so love the looks of the stove and I cant afford to get a new one. Original was 5200. Now they are 6700 and I would probably have the same problems. So I am going to try and fix this stove myself. I will never buy Dacor anything ever again, even if I could afford it. When they offer your money back, take it. The service was responsive although didnt solve the problem through 4 stoves. I would gather from that, the design is bad. My mother has a old 1940 gas stove that still works. Gas stoves should not be that complicated.

Should this be happening with a stove that was this expensive? I dont think so, but I am happy with the customer service I received from Dacor this time.

This is our second Dacor wall oven. It is approximately 6 yrs old. December 22/14, I was cooking a Christmas turkey as per usual, and I noticed an odd smell about 40 mins. into cooking. Checking the turkey, the temp. was at 500 degrees and on broil. I burned holes in my oven mitts on the roaster taking it out. Even though I set the temp. at 325 convection roast, it reset itself to 500 broil. Nothing works except the clock. Called repair guy after the holidays. Said it is a control panel behind the keypad area. Ordered the part. Been waiting 4 months now for this part. Now, no Easter dinner either. After reading these complaints, I am worried that this part replacement may not be the end of it.

We chose DACOR (8-burner double oven top of the line ERD60S06CH/LP) in 2006, new construction because we disliked the signature blue interior of another luxury brand. Last October I detected a gas leak from one of the burners. The authorized repair company was contacted, and the entire unit - all 8 burners and both ovens were out of commission while we waited for the replacement part. Six weeks later the repair guy returned with the wrong part. We had to wait an additional month for the repair guy to return. Apparently, not important that people might want to cook and bake before the Holidays! After the new valve was replaced the oven light began to turn on when any of the gas valves on the defective side was turned on. I write this review 8 months into the problem. I can fix for $700 by ordering a new control panel. I wish I had read these reviews earlier. I overheard the tech say that there was electrical interference and that the wires need to be insulated to stop the oven light from turning on and off. I am so FED up with both the Dacor California head office not caring and the horrible authorized service company. I will take this unit apart myself and fix it. DACOR IS GARBAGE. Go with Sub-Zero, Miele and forget this Brand. DACOR: Dont Accept Crap Or Rubbish! Made in America? Shame on you. No problems with 4 Sub-Zero fridges, or 4 Miele dishwasher the same age.

In 2013 we remodel our kitchen. I need a 30" stove and Dacor seem the right fit. I had problem with the igniter burning on that stove and some metal warp as well. They replaced the stove in 2015. I smell gas every time I turn oven on. Last Thanksgiving 2019 the stove stop working. I was told the igniter had burned out and had it replaced. I had repairman come twice because of smell and end January 2020 the stove stop working again. The repairman told me that a jet burner assembly was never installed this is why I smell gas after it is turn on. ** They said they will order the part. It's back order So I contact Dacor. First they told me it's back order then give me a supplier. If it was never installed in the unit shouldn't Dacor take care of it and soon.

This week Dacor installed my 2nd replacement gas range. I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago and chose Dacor because I had a great experience with their appliances in the past, had their oven and stove in my kitchen for 15+ years and never had a problem. With the first new range, the oven started to automatically shut off due to excess heat escape, so the safety feature would kick in and shut the system down, in addition the knobs would become very hot even when the over was used briefly, 12-15 minutes. I was very impressed and happy with the customer service through Dacor, they immediately gave me a brand new over. Exactly another year, the new oven had the same problem, door begins to not hinge properly and heat begins escape, knobs get dangerously hot. This week Dacor very kindly, replaced my appliance with the new Dacor Renaissance 36. I used the oven for 12 minutes on 400 and the entire exterior is dangerously hot. I do not have any children, however, if I did I would be terrified that they could seriously injure themselves. The exterior of an oven should not become hot like this. Has anyone else had this issue with Dacor? I feel they have been very responsive with regards to customer service however I want an appliance that is safe.

I purchased a DACOR Discovery IQ Range one year ago Model # DYRP36DS/NG from an online authorized DACOR retailer. Here is a synopsis of the events Ive had with the range over the past 12 months: I took delivery of the Range in January of 2016 at my home under construction. I moved into the home in April 2016 which is when the Range was fist installed. In May I began to have problems with the unit, it would shut down during preheating, then reboot itself, sometimes it would just reboot itself randomly. I called DACOR customer support who told me that I needed to download the latest software version, which I did. Shortly thereafter, the Range again would shut down during cooking and go into a reboot cycle.I called DACOR again, they sent out a local service company. In June the technician came out and upgraded and re-installed the software. The problem continued, I contacted DACOR AGAIN, got the run around, etc... Escalated the problem. DACOR then determined the problem was in the internal circuit board which they arranged to shipped to local service company. The service company came out again, replaced the internal circuit board and attempted to upgrade the eProm, which didnt work. The Range was in a constant state of rebooting itself over and over and over again. The Technician left. Said nothing more he could do. I had to shut the power off so the unit would stop rebooting itself.I called DACOR AGAIN, I got a complete run around, they refused to do anything more. I finally was able to reach the V.P. of Customer Service. After a few conversations and investigation into the issues. She determined that the unit needed a new front controller panel. The panel was shipped to the local service company. The service company came out again and replaced the front controller panel. Its now November. Over Christmas, the unit began to shut off the oven randomly during cooking cycles, for no apparent reason. Over New Years, the oven was shutting off, flashing an error code and reboot! I called DACOR last week. They refuse to help because now it is out of warranty.Ive contacted the online retailer. Ive left messages at DACOR for the Service Manager and the V.P. of Service. NO RESPONSE. So this is how DACOR deals with servicing their high end appliances, keep trying to pretend to fix the lemon appliance until the anniversary date, and then they dont have to deal with their $9,000 piece of garbage high end range any longer. The consumer gets screwed and DACOR doesnt care in the least! DO NOT BUY an appliance from DACOR.

I am writing to complain about our Dacor dual fuel stove that we purchased
I am writing to complain about our Dacor dual fuel stove that we purchased in 1998 when we built our house. Initially things went well, and I enjoyed baking in the oven and the convenience of the gas stove top when we had power issues. But then the honeymoon ended, and the problems started. After completing our first self clean cycle, we started getting the F1 code, and noticed cracks in the front on the stove. Our repair guy came out, took a look, and then informed me that Dacor had had numerous problems, and were not so good about living up to their warranty. He was right, Dacor felt in no way that they should help resolve our problem. With 4 kids, you cant just go without a stove, so we paid for the parts and repair. I figured it was just a one time thing, but I was wrong. We are now again looking at replacing the same part just 3 years later again with cracks and the F1 code. Dacor should be ashamed. Do the math. If they walk away from responsibility on all of these faulty products that average $5,000 a piece, shouldnt they have the money to pay for the fixes or maybe hire better engineers? They need to be held accountable for this mess. I need my oven back on!!!! And after the money we have paid for repairs, light bulbs, and parts...... the rest of the care should be free and on them.

I recently complained about my Dacor dishwasher that would stop running during the cycle because of a faulty circuit board and touch pad. The repair would have cost me $500.00 to replace the entire touch pad and circuit board and the Customer Service department was not in the least helpful or concerned. After making the complaint on this site, I received an email the next day from James who was very nice and asked for the model, serial number of my dishwasher and who was the repair company I used. I emailed the information back to him and after verifying my information, he informed me that the parts would be shipped to my house at no cost and I would only have to pay for the service call! Now that was great service from a company who is trying to make good for a bad item in their appliance line. My repair person told me that Dacor is now using a different manufacturer for their dishwasher so hopefully it will be a better product.

Dacor dual fuel 30 inch range - First of all the look of the dacor is second to none in my opinion. The digital screen with blue lighting makes this a truly elegant part of any kitchen..... when it works. The range top itself worked flawlessly for me and the main burner was always more than enough. The problem with the range lies in the electronics. The unit has been in my home for over a year and has worked for less than a month total. An error code appeared when ever the oven gets hot. C33, C1, 0000, 1111, C11. Ive seen it all. I have had the main board replaced twice and my local repairman is on first name basis with even my dogs at this point. The final straw for me was when the oven door glass shattered while cooking and when dacor was contacted they said that happens. Im think Ill try Viking.....

Warning: Warning, safety hazzard for all, adults and children. Recommendation: The knobs should be set on the top of the stove, not the front where children can reach. Control knobs should click when fire and gas is turned off, and highest flame setting should be at the end of the turn just like a clock. I inherited this range as new owner of the house. Today I used the high flame option of the gas stove. When I was done with cooking, I turned off the gas according to the knob position, front of the turn. Later I discovered the range was not exactly off. It was still hot but no flame could be seen.I checked by sight the control knob position, it was set incorrectly in off. Then I touched it and realized the knob actually has a bit more to go to the end, slightly before the off position. Therefore it continues to release gas with unobservable flame. This knob does not click when user turns it to the off position. It is just a silent knob with an inaccurate cue of a heavier black line for off and on indication. Besides, high flame setting comes at the beginning of the turn of the knob rather than the end, it is counter intuitive to our mind of increase heat by turning the knob further on, like our clock. Oven racks are hard to put back after cleaning. Once a rack almost tumble out while food was sitting on it.

I purchased most Dacor appliances when I built my home in 2015. Their induction cook top and dishwasher kept breaking down one by one. The first time the repair service was done well. Early 2019, their cooktop broken down again and I still have the half broken cook top for almost 4 month now. We have been emailing back and forth, firstly Dacor promised to mail me the parts, but then a different customer rep reached out saying I have to take the broken parts out and mail it back to them before they can send me the replacement parts. That means I would have to live without a cook top for a while. There is even no estimation when I will have it fixed!! Dacor dont value their customer and Im comfortable to say it is the worst product quality and service I have experienced in my lifetime. Never recommend it to anyone!!

Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked
Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked within nine months. Dacor said it was a defect in the design and would fix it for free. I sold the house in 2001 but the range was still not fixed. I moved to Nevada and bought a new rsd30 range and same thing happened within six months. It took a year to get it fixed at their expense. This bevel also cracked again for the second time in March 2011. Their response to this was to offer me a new bevel for $180 and I would have to pay for the installation. I declined the offer. The bevel is still cracked at this time. At the same time, I bought a PMOR30 over the range microwave and the front handle broke at least four times. And finally, the whole thing broke down and was not repairable. In Aug. 2008, I contacted Dacor and they agreed to replace it with a new DMT2420 over the counter microwave for half the price ($390). Last week, this one blew up on me. Sparks were coming out through the side and a big hole in the removable shield and burn damage to the wall of the unit. I do not believe this unit is repairable. I contacted Michael at Dacor. He apologized and said that theres nothing they can do about it as it is out of warranty but they will look into it. What I want at this point is my money back that I paid for ($390) and for them to pick up the unit and get it out of my house. I will never buy another Dacor product again.

Purchased home with installed Dacor double oven. Oven wouldnt reach set temperature, so replaced control board. Doable, but a real hassle to remove oven from wall opening and label, disconnect, and reconnect 20-something wires. Two years later, the clock cannot take the correct time and oven timers do not work. Only fix: replacing the $300 control board again. I cannot recommend that anyone purchase these appliances as the control boards simply do not work for more than a couple of years.

I have now been living without a fridge for 3 weeks and Dacor doesn’t seem to care at all. We have 3 children and are currently living out of a cooler with ice. We bought our new Dacor CPS 130S wall oven when we built a new house in 04. First we had to replace the lower heating element. Now the touchpad (Dacor part # 13290S) is malfunctioning. The + button will not respond to touch. Called Dacor and was told that the needed part number was discontinued in 2009. I double-checked with a distribution center in San Antonio, TX, who confirmed that the part is no longer available. They referred me back to Dacor on the chance that Dacor would have one somewhere. Dacors suggested solution was that we need to buy an updated completely new oven, which would cost us several more thousand dollars. So here we sit with a perfectly good oven minus a touchpad to control it correctly. So much for buying reliable, U.S. made products and receiving good service. I thought there existed a federal law that mandates a company must make parts available for 10 years if they discontinue the product?

Dacor ERD30S06CHLP 30 Inch Epicure Series Freestanding Dual-Fuel - I am so dissatisfied with this product. We bought the first range in 2003 and were so excited to use it. We chose Dacor over Wolf. From the beginning we had issues with the oven. It cooked very unevenly and the door never closed properly. We had a service call and they basically told us that we got a lemon. They offered us a new range for $3.5K. We thought we got a lemon so we agreed and paid for a new one for $3.5k. We also purchased the extended warranty for $2.2K.0 This one was even worse. One time I opened the oven and it burned my eyelashes. I wrote and complained with a video of the explosion and had to pay for the service call. I wrote a review in the website and they deleted it. We now own a range that we have paid over $10K that bakes unevenly, electric element does not work in oven and have minor explosions from time to time with a door that does not close. We have a few friends who have asked us about our range and we always recommend against it. We are looking for a new range. I would not recommend this range. I thought we got a lemon. But it seems thats just the product.

The water never completely drains, ugh old water. A service tech could not tell me where the rinse aid indicator light was and insisted mine did not come with one! Microwave does not heat in an adequate time. All listed times I have to double time if not more. I was told to put a Rubbermaid container over the food product to insulate the waves... ha! Oven does not regulate heat. when I go to increase the heat during stated recipe, the screen always say 50 even though I would have it at 375. I was told it always will revert back to 350, really. I had all Kenmore appliances prior to the Dacor and never had a problem... Do not buy, I wish I hadnt. We are filing this with BBB and headed to small claims court.. This should be fun. I purchased a Dacor Renaissance range for our new home. What a waste of money. Though I have not had any major problems with the performance of the range yet, besides uneven baking, the design is not user-friendly. To begin with, the gas burners share a grate. So when cleaning, you have to remove the whole grate on one side. The controls for the burners & griddle are very hard to see & I have to bend over to see which burner Im turning on. The oven racks are a joke. The two glide racks are very bulky with sharp edges. It is difficult to change the heights or to remove them for cleaning purposes. Though there are three racks included, it is impossible to bake with all three in the oven.I have a GE Monogram that I had purchased two years ago for another home, and I love it The Renaissance & Monogram are similar in price, but I unfortunately, listened to the sales person & let them talk me into the Renaissance. I realized my mistake in buying a Dacor immediately & contacted the appliance store. Even though the Renaissance had not been used, they would only give me a token amount of money towards trading it in for a Monogram. So, I am stuck with a range that causes me to swear under my breath every time I use it. Dacor could learn a lot from GE.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2006. I spent a fortune on a Dacor dual fuel gas cooktop with electric oven/convection oven. My Dacor problems seem so normal I mostly deal with it. My 2 biggest complaints are the glass oven door is not airtight, it is darkened between glass, very hard to monitor my baking. And the temp gauge has always been off by 15-25 degrees. After remodeling our kitchen, we purchased a professional line Dacor stand alone gas range/oven. Within a year, the heating element needed to be replaced. Subsequently, the control panel almost caught fire and needed replacement, following a second heating element. The oven is not reliable and has cost us over $600 in repairs, labor and parts. The Dacor company is not willing to recognize that this oven is a lemon, even though their rep admitted that the number of repairs seem to exceed the average number. The company refuses to pay for a tech to come in to examine why this range continue to have electrical problems. It is not working again, and the customer service rep wants us to pay out more money to have their tech diagnose the problem and pay the cost of repairs and labor, while they will cover the cost of the parts. This is the second time I have purchased these appliances and unfortunately each one has been a great disappointment. I have spent enough in repair bills to almost purchase a warming drawer. Each one shuts down when the self clean button is turned on, and then I have to call a repairman out to recalibrate the oven to work each time I try to use the self clean. I was told by the last repairman that the life of the oven is greatly shortened if you the self clean mode. If this is the case, either fix it or take out this mode. After I had the oven about a year the oven door glass blew out, and this had to be replaced. The temperature in the oven is very unreliable in different areas of the oven and browns more on one side than the other... For the high end cost of these ovens, I would just as soon have a basic oven that works and does not go out every few months. What a waste of money I consider Dacor to be, and will never recommend it to anyone I know. I am in the personal shopping business and have my own company, but will tell my clients to be very aware of the high cost/low performance of Dacor products... On a scale of 1 to 10, Dacor gets a 1.

I sell appliances and I never recommend Dacor ovens because of all the continued problems. Ive never used the self clean feature since being told by a Dacor tech trainer that he didnt recommend using self clean because it would cause the oven to age faster. Wonder how long it would have lasted if I did use self clean? Sure wish Dacor would contact me for a testimonial!

My husband and I built our home and moved in November 2002. We purchased a Dacor Double Oven, Dacor 5-Burner Electric Cooktop and a Dacor Microwave. After the second year of living in our home, we started having problems with our double ovens. It would start beeping at different times. Sometimes it would last a few times to off and on for days. Then it would stop beeping and not return for a year. Now the beeping has started again and now it is displaying off. It wont come on. We have turned the breaker off and back on because sometimes that would reset it but not this time. Now before I could call anyone out to look at it, my 5 burner electric oven is dead. I called Metro in Tulsa, OK which is where we purchased them and they gave us the name of a repair person in our town. He came out and told us that we needed new boards for both appliances and charged us $50.00 a piece just for the evaluation. Now one week later, he is calling us and telling us that our 5 burner electric oven is discontinued! I dont want to have to purchase a new oven! I will also say that on my microwave, where the time is displayed it is blank across one line. I didnt even ask to have it look at. Please help!

Add me to the Dacor hate list. The $4300 oven installed in 2000 is now a whopping $6400. My motherboard #2 is broken and the glass on the door cracked which to me is a safety issue. This is a two adult, no kid household so figure. We use the oven about 7 times a year. My Dacor rangetop and hydraulic exhaust have both required service as well.

We purchased a Dacor 30 Heritage Gas range and installed it in early Oct 2020. Within a day a gas leak from the back of the range was identified by our gas contractor. Dacor repaired it quickly (12 hours). I was impressed (though concerned it already had an issue). In December 2020 I noticed that the oven indicator light was not coming on. I contacted customer service and despite indicating that there was a problem, was simply told what the light was for. Then, in February 2021 (under 5 months after installation) the oven stopped working. The service technician indicated it was an electrical issue and the gas would not ignite. It has now been over two weeks and we still do not have it repaired nor any indication of when it will be repaired. We spent $5200 on this range. I do not recommend Dacor.

We purchased a Dacor Oven model # ECS 136544 in 2009. Within two years, the relay board and thermostat in addition to an LED bulb required replacement. A year later, the broiler heating element and the second LED light required replacement. Dacors response (800-793-0093) was read your explicit warranty and the implied warranty under Section 2-314 of the Uniform Commercial Code isnt applicable. The total expense for repairs is over $1,000. Did we get a lemon, or are Dacor ovens prone to failure? Should we have been thinking Wolf?

We have a Dacor Epicure 36 six burner range. It has been a regular source of trouble since it was installed as part of a kitchen remodel in 2006. The igniter for the broiler went out 18-24 months after we got the oven. A year or so after that the weld that holds the bottom oven rack bracket to the oven itself popped loose making it impossible to use the lowest rack position in the oven. Last year the circuit board that controls, among other things, turning the bottom oven element on stopped working. Not only is the board itself quite expensive, but it is buried deep under the top of the stove taking lots of expensive hours of repair time to remove and replace. And now the burner igniters have begun to over spark (e.g., continue to click long after the burner has been lit, burners sparking that have not been turned on). The repairman tells me that is a different circuit board so we could be heading to another $500 or so in repair bills or perhaps a trip to the dump and a much cheaper replacement range. We have had other Dacor equipment (cooktop, wall oven, warming drawer) and have not had a problem with any of them. But given our experience with the Epicure I cant imagine ever buying another.

I bought a Dacor dual-fuel range in 2002 for my new house. Within 18 months, the control panel on the front had shorted, causing the stove to emit a continuous beeping. I got this repaired, and was advised that I should not use liquid cleaners on the stove! Two years later, the same thing happened again. Finally, about 4 years ago, another fault developed in the 3rd control panel, the circuit controlling the oven lights will not respond to touch, and the oven lights switch on and off continuously. Not prepared to pay for yet another control panel replacement, I switched off the power to the stove at the main fuse box. I have continued to use the gas cooktop only, lighting it with an ignition wand. The Dacor stove is only part-functional due to what is obviously a severe design fault in the front touch control panel, which causes the panel to short. I switch on the power to the unit twice a year to use the oven at Thanksgiving and Christmas for large roasts. This stove was a very expensive mistake. Luckily, I have a second (Wolf) oven in my kitchen, which I use instead for everyday cooking.

We purchased a Dacor built-in refrigerator in 2011. After just 5 years the warning beeper came on. We learned that the main control panel - built by Whirlpool - was defective. We then learned that Dacor did not have any replacement part for this model. Our only alternative was the purchase a new refrigerator. Amazing!! Dacor reluctantly gave us a partial credit for a new (KitchenAid) model. However at the end of the day we are out of pocket over $2000 because Dacor built and sold a defective refrigerator with no ability to fix the problem. Very unsatisfactory handling of this situation.

We remodeled our kitchen because my wife is a chef. So we thought a full suite of Dacor products was just what she needed. What a mistake! Our $6000 36-inch dual-fuel range had problems from the start. We had to replace the control panel, heating element, convection fan, and door seal. Finally, the liner split and the range became unrepairable. We made the mistake of purchasing a simpler, gas-only range because Dacor offered a modest discount. This $7000 range lasted four months before a failure in the wiring harness made it unrepairable!! We bought a Miele replacement. We have had performance issues with our Dacor warming drawer and microwave. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING DACOR!!!

Our experience was positive with James who gave timely and a customer-focused response. He also called to follow-up after the repair to make sure we were happy which I appreciated. I bought a Dacor appliance package for a new custom home which costs over $30K+. Every single piece of appliance is defective. I am OK as long as Dacor can fix or address the issues but it takes them several visits, put the appliance out of order and fixing it does not happen any earlier than 8-10 Weeks. Imagine you living with a fridge, microwave, range and oven for 10+ weeks. The column freezer stops making ice. I call for service and tech informs the lever was jam and he fixed it. Wait 48 hours. After 48 hours still no ice. Another call and after a wait of 3 weeks another visit and diagnose need new part. Wait for part 4+ weeks and another 3+ weeks for replacement. Fridge does not cool and maintains temp 45 degree+. Service tech showed up 3 times and promised it is fixed. Have thrown out thousands of dollars worth food. To date I dont have it fixed. Waiting for a part, tech not available scheduling issues etc. To date I have been out of fridge (8/12/2021) 9 weeks from I made the first call. Currently I have a tech scheduled for 9/1/21.This is not the end. Microwave will run normally and wont heat the food. After several phone call and waiting they figured the door pin was not connecting properly and need parts to fix. After 10+ MONTHS it looks like it is fixed. The range control panel is hanging from underneath and no one seems to care to fix it. Every time I call they tell me its normal. I believe Dacor has not QA/QC in place prior to shipping the appliances to customer. Worst experience ever. If you need more details do not hesitate to call me on **. I hope you run away from Dacor. Dont even consider this option. I have a track of all phone call and email and timeline with Dacor service. I am planning to file a lawsuit and recoup some of the costs and losses.

I completely gutted my kitchen on 2/22/92, and purchased a Dacor CPD230R double oven. Whenever I used the self-cleaning function the next day, F0 would appear. I would have to get a repairman to come to my house. This cost me a fortune. For one year, I just used the bottom oven. I finally called Dacor, and complained. I wrote a letter to Mr. **, and wanted satisfaction. They decided that I could purchase a new, better oven for $1,480.00. This was 1998, so in 6 years, I spent $3,680.00 for 2 ovens. After 5 years, I started having the same problems. Every time I used the self-cleaning function, F0 would appear. I just totaled my bills for the new, better oven, and I have spent $963.00 and it would be more, but I figured out, if I pressed cancel and held it, the F0 would disappear. So every time I used the oven, that is what I did. This would last for 8 months. The oven completely shut down, and I could not use the top or bottom. I just had a repairman here, and he said i need a new membrane assembly, and latch. They were supposed to call me with an estimate. They just called, and said the part is no longer available. This is upsetting. Reading the reviews, I see I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with the Dacor oven. Now, I will be redoing my kitchen.

I purchased my Dacor Epicure Range 8 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen. My other appliances were made by GE and Bosch. Ive had to service my GE appliances a couple of times in the last 8 years, but it is the Dacor that has given me the most grief and it was the most expensive appliance purchased. It has never been reliable with regard to convection baking. Initially I thought it was my inexperience with a convection oven. I read everything I could get my hands on and kept trying...after talking with a friend who does quite a bit of baking I realized its not me, its my oven. Then the real problems started. First it was the broiler/ignitor, next it was the membrane in the keypad. Two months later it was the relay board and this time it was the broiler/ignitor....Again! Started calling Dacor when the relay board went out because at this point I had spent $1,000 on repairs....after I had paid $4,000 for the range itself. For the last two repairs Dacor has paid for the parts, while I paid for the service call and labor. This has reduced the cost of my last two repairs by about 50%, which is very helpful. However, Im still very disappointed in the product. I spend a good deal of time in my kitchen and do quite a bit of baking, cooking, and canning. I thought that if I spent more money and bought a high-end appliance, it would serve me well. At the rate that Im going, I will need to purchase another range, unless I want to keep throwing money into repairs on this one, which I dont. I will not ever purchase (or recommend) another Dacor product again.

The problem started with our refrigerator unit when it was still in the first year of a 2-year warranty. We have had over 9 service calls for various problems; we had to replace the circuit board, switch and the pan twice. The warranty runs out soon. After five unanswered calls to the customer service number, we were finally able to get through; not that it made a difference. Their response was, “We apologize, but there is nothing we can do?” Sound familiar? Dacor refuses to extend the warranty even though the problems seem to be bad design, parts and customer service. Dacor says when (not if) you need another repair, well work with you. Yipee! We get to work with them some more and pay for the privilege. Dont make the same mistake we did. We will never buy a Dacor product again.

Faulty computer panel, failed motor in the downdraft fan, oven not maintaining temperature (meaning NOTHING cooks correctly in this oven), burned out lower element and discolored interior. And let me add that the interior oven fan stays on for about half an hour after you turn off the oven. What purpose could that possibly serve???? Suffice it to say that this is a poorly made product by a company that has no desire for repeat customers. I am currently working with customer service to try to get my oven working for Thanksgiving, but I just dont have much hope after reading all of these similar issues. The second time, it was covered under the parts warranty when a terminal was bad. Now, I need another relay board and a new element which will cost over $700 to replace. For an oven that was originally over $3000, this is not acceptable, but what other choice do I have? The technician told me that Dacor has the worst mark up for replacement parts. We purchased our home brand new in August 2006. The house was built and the appliances installed (but never used) in 2003. One of the things that sold us on the house was the kitchen being comprised of all high-end Dacor appliances (double convection oven, cooktop, dishwasher, and built-in microwave). Our excitement quickly turned to frustration. The first problems began with the dishwasher, which after several attempts at repair (circuit board) was begrudgingly replaced by Dacor, with “begrudgingly” being the key word. I have always found Dacor customer service to be rude and dismissive - with the only way that I ever received a satisfactory outcome, being via threats of contacting the BBB and Missouri Attorney General.About a year after receiving the replacement dishwasher, the internal racks began rusting badly. Once again, I called customer service who originally wanted to sell me new racks at a discount. Only after another persistent round of explaining that high-end dishwasher racks should be made from a material that doesnt rust, complaining and threatening, did I receive new racks free of charge. I was also informed that they had changed rack manufacturers and that would eliminate the rusting problem. Wrong. It has now been another couple of years, and the new racks are rusted worse than the previous ones. That is just the dishwasher. Our Dacor microwave display began slowly losing its LED display about 2 years ago. Lately, the microwave interior lining is beginning to disintegrate and rust through. One of the burners on our gas cooktop makes a constant popping noise when lit. The top half of our double convection oven no longer heats beyond 250 degrees. I realize that our appliances are now significantly beyond their warranty period, so I am no longer even attempting a resolution through Dacor. I will most likely ride these appliances into their graves and replace them with another brand. I am writing this mainly to alert others about my experiences with what I believe to be Dacors total lack of quality at a premium price. In my opinion, Dacor is all style and no substance.

Since July, we have had to replace 2 relay boards, two other parts that should take care of erratic temperature. Then I noticed the gasket was turning black in the corner and my glass pack in the window was steaming up and not clearing. The extended warranty would not cover the glass replacement and I was charged $126. They said it was cosmetic, but this was so bad that I couldnt see through half the glass. When we recently remodeled our kitchen, we replaced our Dacor double ovens
When we recently remodeled our kitchen, we replaced our Dacor double ovens that we had had for 15 years. These were great ovens and not one problem with fairly heavy use, so we bought the Dacor Modernist double ovens. The ovens are usable, but they are the worst engineered product I have ever experienced. First, there is no clock on the stove because as I was told the clock would etch the screen if it was on 24 hours a day. Second, the sound the timer makes is so soft, even on the loudest setting, cannot be heard in any room but the kitchen, so I paid a premium price to carry a timer with me, so I know when my oven is done baking. Third, if I turn the oven light on, the timer either stops completely, or it resets to the original time. Fourth, the oven buzzes when it is cooking. Fifth the user manual is useless and there is no video or online information on how to use this oven that is not user friendly. Finally, I have talked to Dacor and have had the repair person here, but he knew nothing about this oven. I am sorry every time that I use this oven that I did not buy my other choice, which was the Woof double ovens, but we thought this would be wonderful product, like the wonderful product that our previous ovens were. We also thought Dacor was a family company, but is now owned by Samsung. What a disappoint these ovens have been. The engineering for this product is a disgrace for any company and I no longer see the Modernist products advertised and it may be because it is such a poorly designed product. I never met a computer that I did not love, but this is not the electronic wonder that was advertised when we bought the ovens.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2002 and chose the Dacor 36 dual-fuel range. I was preparing a pork roast for a dinner party with the oven on Bake. The roast was just not coming up to temperature, though the display indicated that the oven was at the temperature I set. I wound up slicing the roast and cooking it on the griddle; my hungry guests were getting restless. Then I tracked the oven heat for an entire day with an oven thermometer. The oven would come up to temperature and then cool off. I sent these numbers to Dacor and asked customer service for an explanation. Believe it or not, the conversation was--Dacor: The temperature is going down because the fan is coming on. Youre not supposed to use the Bake setting, but only the Convection Bake or Pure Convection. Me: Why is the Bake button there, then? Dacor: Were taking it out in the next production run. (This hasnt happened. My sister-in-law bought a Dacor last year before I could warn her and the button is still there.) Also, after using the self-clean one time, I noticed a crack on the inside of the oven door, starting in the corner of the window. The inside of the window is now permanently spotted with baked-on grease. Now my oven does not work at all. The repairman says that the circuit board needs to be replaced, and if Im lucky, it will work for a couple of years. The repair will cost around $700 including labor. The repairman told me that some repairmen in our area will not even work on Dacors because there are so many problems. Im considering replacing the stove... a very expensive mistake. When the beverage center was initially installed 5 or so years ago, I went to put wine bottles in the wine drawers and surprisingly, the shelves are too shallow to properly hold some of the bottles especially tall Riesling bottles. I contacted Dacor to get some response to the poor design and got no response. Now the unit wont chill and I have just paid a repairman $162 to tell me it is not repairable because the unit has a leak in the refrigeration system and it is within a foamed in area of the system. So after only 5 years, I am replacing my wine fridge, not what I would have expected from a brand that touts itself as being high end. I am very dissatisfied with Dacor and certainly will not be purchasing anything of that brand again.

This is an update on my posting regarding our ER36DSCH/NG posted Dec 30, 2013. A Dacor representative has been in contact with us and has offered to install a new oven control which they think will resolve our problem. We are absolutely thrilled and quite surprised that they are footing the entire expense. Now this is what I call good customer service! Thank you Dacor.

First six month, dishwasher rusted on the inside. Dacor gave us a less expensive in its place. First year, microwave was repaired five times. Microwave has a piece of wood to hold the door in place. Wall Oven, the broiler never work. Present, range oven does not work at all. We have a repairman that is trying to get parts. Present, refrigeration control panel does not work, need repair. These appliances were to be a our luxury kitchen, but turn into a nightmare. Do not buy this appliance, you are wasting your money.

I purchased DACOR built in 30 separate side by side freezer & refrigera
I purchased DACOR built in 30 separate side by side freezer & refrigerator on Jan. 18th 2019. After installation (Jan. 31st) a few days later the food and shelves in the freezer started getting a build up of ice. I called to have my freezer looked at and they gave me a service call of Feb. 7th the soonest a Dacor Rep could make it. The Dacor Rep determined that the freezer door was not sealing properly. The rep from Dacor adjusted the door and said the freezer should be fine. It was not. The ice continued build up on my food/shelves. I was instructed to call if I had any further problems. I made several calls starting on Feb. 9th to Dacor customer service, and, Dacor Service Rep. No one called me back. I left messages, I even text the service rep as he told me to do if I had any problems. I also sent pictures via text to him. No call back from anyone! It took me several days to get someone on the phone to find out what could be done with the freezer and why it was icing up. On Feb.13th I spoke to a customer service rep in the corporate office. He asked me to email him pictures of the inside of my freezer which I did. I never heard back from him. No call, no return email, they just don’t acknowledge any voicemail, or even emails. March 7th another customer service rep, she said a new door was being ordered to replace the one I have now, as they decided it was damaged during shipment. She also told me that her service rep recommended I push on the top corner of the freezer door each time I closed it and to keep defrosting the freezer. Why after paying this kind of money am I told to “defrost” my freezer?Fast forward to May and my ice maker stopped making ice… Since this purchase most of the food had freezer burn. I had to pushed on the door as Customer Service suggested as a solution while I wait for them to install a new door or fix the one on it.. I had to throw out about $600 worth of food. In the end I returned the Dacor refrigerator and freezer. The customer service from Dacor is beyond poor. I wished I had read other reviews on this company and their products before I made such a larger purchase. Please do your research before you spend money with Dacor. The company, Monarch Premium Appliances I purchased the Dacor appliances through exchanged them for me. I can’t say enough good things about Monarch and their employees. Both the company and my salesperson, ended up taking a loss in order to make the exchange! Dacor would not allow them to return the appliance. That is just unacceptable. Why should the company carrying their brand be made to take a loss??? Shame on Dacor for that!

We are in the process of remodeling our house including an entire new kitch
We are in the process of remodeling our house including an entire new kitchen that we cant wait to finish to invite people over and show. HOWEVER, the cook top already has a light burned and finally the cover of it ended up falling as I was wiping down the stove (very softly by the way because I like to treat my appliances really nice). We have had this stove for less than a year I havent even made the last payment and it is already with a light burned out. REALLY? My husband spent countless hours researching the best appliances and decided to get this one and to come to find out that it is not good it is a complete disappointment. I am sooo upset. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!! Save yourself the hassle that we are now going to go through trying to get a hold of someone on the phone and see what they will do if anything. I bought it from AJ Madison.

We purchased a Dacor gas range in 2005 for $2000. In a short time the plastic trim around the knobs cracked, and the glass in the oven door had not maintained its seal. I contacted Dacor several times and was told to take a picture and send it to them, then they could decide a course of action. The course of action was that I would pay for materials and labor. I decided not to do that, and eventually I will replace the range with another brand, never a Dacor!
