We purchased a Profile Dishwasher, Stove, Oven and Microwave. So far weve had problems with all products especially the dishwasher. The bottom of the dishwasher is filled with water, the door has water running down the front and all dishes have to be dried. I have talked to GE and I was told the new models do not have a drying system as in the past due to EPA. I feel like we have spent thousands of dollars for items that are trash. Had I known I would be drying dishes I would never bought GE products. I would trade this GE for a SEARS in a minute but too late. Ill keep calling GE office, maybe a miracle will occur. Ive tried all the tricks in the handbook... doesnt work.

We purchased a GE over-the-range microwave oven last November 2010 and it was installed in February 2011 when our addition was finished. Last week, it decided to stop responding to instructions. When the door is closed, it just continues to run--the turntable turns, the light stays on and the fan keeps running. It will respond to instructions, but when we want to shut it off if the door is shut, we have to unplug it--which is a real pain because it is over the range. We have an old microwave that was my wifes parents and it still works fine even though it is about 20 years old. The new one stops working in a little more than a year which is not acceptable. We contacted GE and were told that we would have to pay over $100.00 to get the thing fixed. I dont think so. We will not purchase anything GE again.

I may be speaking too soon because I need to run my dishwasher again to make sure the minor leak truly has been fixed, but I am very impressed with the responsiveness of GE customer support. There was virtually no wait to talk to a rep about my 2-month-old dishwasher with a drip (plus water was collecting inside). Less than twenty four hours after my call, a friendly man was at my door to fully diagnose and then correct the issue. This was the cheapest, bottom-of-the line model that they so quickly came to service! Now in an ideal world, a new dishwasher wouldnt need any servicing at all, but I think all dishwashers are pretty finicky so at the moment, Im pleased.

We have had this microwave GE JVM1631wb007 (2003) for a number of years installed above our stove. It was given to us by my husbands son so we did not have it registered with GE as owning it. However, I just sent an email to GE today asking for help as I find absolutely nothing on the internet about a scorched outside microwave door. We have had no issues with it whatsoever - until now. When we returned home from a one week vacation this past Sunday evening, we came home to a scorched OUTSIDE door on this microwave! The inside is fine. The two people who came into the house while we were gone said they did not use it but it is DEFINITELY scorched around the entire area on the outside around the screen area. I refuse to use it although my husband (who is an appliance repairman but does NOT work on microwaves) says its fine to use. Its not only hideous, it LOOKS unsafe to use. Im scared its going to catch on fire but my husband says dont worry and go ahead and use it! Im attaching a pic of it... Anyone else heard of this? Its not like we dont have the money to replace it. Im NOT going to touch the thing... You cant tell him anything. He thinks its fine. I need PROOF that this is dangerous to convince him... Please help before the house burns down!

One day after the new GE dishwasher was installed, I came home to find water raining down into my basement. My kitchen floor was destroyed. The installers came out a week later to look at it. They determined it was a faulty unit. They ordered another one. I started an insurance claim with GE. They sent a technician to look at it. 2 1/2 weeks after it was installed, the technician showed up. Surprise, it was leaking anymore (The water had been shut off for 2 weeks). Several days later the replacement unit arrived and was installed. Two days later, this one started dripping. I called to have it removed. The installation crew was scheduled to come back on Saturday to remove the dishwasher and get it out of my house. On Thursday, this unit started pouring water out onto my floor. The occasional drip had become a steady stream of water. More than a month after buying this hunk of junk, it was finally removed. Ive ordered a different brand of dishwasher. Ive hired a contractor to come and replace my floor. GE denies any responsibility. I will be starting a lawsuit against them. I cant say enough horrible things about dealing with GE.

We have a GE Profile Microwave/Oven combo unit. The paint is flaking off inside the microwave. Most of the ceiling paint is gone, and the floor of the microwave is flaking. Because we have a combo microwave and oven, the entire unit must be replaced. Thats around $2400. We cannot match the color, because they dont make bisque appliances any more. GE customer service suggests we replace the microwave with a countertop model, leaving the dead microwave on the wall. This is unacceptable.

I just found out last week that its out of warranty and that the 2 circuit boards inside are bad so the tech came out and didnt have a replacement board on his truck saying they never have problems with this dishwasher so hell order this part and be shipped to my house. He would install it on the following Thursday so Im sitting here waiting for service. I finally called to find out that GE decided that it is going to be repaired on Friday. I did not know this of course so I asked for a supervisor. I was put on hold with no answers, finally hung up in disgust.

I like many other people have had issues with the keypad malfunctioning. The first one shattered the first time I used the microwave, I then replaced it 2 years later and now another 3 years the second one stopped working. GE was rude when I talked to them, said they had no record of my replacement keypads even though I contacted them directly and were offering another for $514. That is no deal, I could get one in the store for that price. Also, the icemaker and water dispenser in my GE Cafe french door refrigerator are constantly malfunctioning, my range keypad does not always work, and the seal around my dishwasher keeps coming off! GE these are not quality products and you do not stand behind them.

I owned a previous GE dishwasher 4 years ago and would give it excellent ratings. I bought a newer top of the line version when I purchased a new home. It simply fails to clean dishes. Wet food that any dishwasher would remove, remained on the dishes. The drying cycle never dried the dishes. We have to hand wash the dishes now and have stopped using the dishwasher after 3 days of ownership because of health hazard. I called Lowes about this within days of the install. Lowes sent out the installer who claimed the machine was installed properly. Then Lowes scheduled a GE repairman to come to the home. We waited all day for him to arrive for a morning appointment. He never came. Lowes stepped up and is replacing the dishwasher with a non-GE product. I would not touch a GE product again given the lack of service and commitment to their product. I feel confident with Lowes, but not with GE - their ethics from engineering, manufacturing and servicing are very suspect with us.

Just bought a Monogram dishwasher one week ago, and the front sound barrier fell off. The service man came out, took a look, and said it was not a big deal. I questioned him why it fell off within such a short period. He stated that it was GEs policy: to make Monogram quieter than competitors, they put in sound barrier in front. However, it fell off often. Since it does not affect how the dishwasher work, GE does not believe that it is a big deal. Therefore, no need for quality control, and he will use new glue to glue it back. No guarantee that it will not fall off later... What is GE stand on the engineering products any more? Will never buy any more GE product...

We purchased a GE Profile Microwave with our GE Profile range in 2010. In 2016 we noticed an area on the bottom of the back wall that was peeling. It is in an area where nothing is rubbing or touching it. After taking photos and contacting GE customer service I was offered a discount on a replacement microwave. I expressed my concern that a new microwave might do the same thing--peel. I was told that the newer microwaves have a moisture resistant paint. The area that has peeled is much larger now than is shown in the attached photo taken in 2016. I expected my oven to last longer than 6 years; its a GE Profile and we take excellent care of our appliances.

GE Stainless Steel Profile Dishwasher - My dishwasher is about 5 years old. Two years ago, we noticed that the gaskets, both around the tub and on the bottom of the door, were becoming gummy and rippling. We were hoping to make it another couple of years before buying a new dishwasher, but a couple of week ago, the top arm fell off because the gasket was so degraded. We ordered the appropriate parts and were only able to replace the top-arm gasket and the tub gasket. We had to call an authorized GE repairman, specifically RC Appliance in Sparks, NV. When he tried to get the gasket out, his hands turned black from the rubber. After about an hour of trying to get the new gasket installed, he had to use his pliers to crimp the gasket in place leaving large dents along the bottom edge of the door. He said the factory had crimped the old gasket in place at the factory from the other side. I am extremely unhappy about the workmanship and the fact that the gaskets did not last a reasonable time. I dont want to seek an attorney, but would rather GE contact me to discuss what must be done.

We bought 3 GE Profile appliances in 2005 when we renovated our kitchen. We have not had much problem with the gas oven/range/stove. We have, however, had nothing but problems with the microwave (which I submitted a separate review for) and the dishwasher. Recently, a friend made some suggestions regarding the dishwasher. I then went online and watched some tutorials on troubleshooting my dishwasher problems. I tried all the new suggestions and the dishwasher worked OK the one or two times after that and then back to all the old problems: 1. We have to scour every dish until its nearly clean before loading (even though the instructions specifically stated no pre-rinsing necessary). 2. I am not sure the soap cup opens. The soap is always left caked in the cup resulting in running the dishwasher twice. We have tried all kinds of various soaps and they all do the same thing. The eco-friendly soaps are the worst. We strive to be eco-friendly, but how can we be if we are using the harshest soaps possible AND running our dishwasher twice?! Not to mention the pre-rinse scour and running water until it is 120 degrees prior to running.3. The dishwasher also leaks and is very noisy.I have read some other reviews on this product and realize our dishes are not always dry at the end. This is a non-issue for me. I dont care so much if the dishes are dry. I do prefer for them to be clean. Dishes are a task I do not prefer to do. It would be nice to have a functioning helper. I am grateful the thing hasnt caught on fire. I saw that this dishwasher currently sells for $800-$1,500. I cannot believe it. I wouldnt spend $100 on this piece of junk.

I purchased this GE Profile dishwasher last June, I paid $1,499.00 for it and have had three (3) service calls. The first one said the water is not hot enough, the second one said run the water in sink and get hot before you use the dishwasher. The tech was here again this morning and called in to tech services and was told put plates on the right side of the rack only and the dishes will get clean. Are they kidding me? I called the 800 number for customer service and was told by Dominic (rep in customer service) that they would replace the dishwasher and allow me a 40% discount on a new one because this one is working as designed. It is my understanding that the dishwasher should wash dishes, so that tells me it is not working as designed. I want a new dishwasher, preferably one that washes the dishes and not one that I have to pay an additional 60%. Are you kidding me? This is not right. I have read the reviews on this dishwasher and it seems everyone who purchased the dishwasher I have are having the same problems and it is not working as designed. Please let me know asap when the replacement dishwasher will be delivered. I will not pay an additional 60% for another. It is not right that you would keep making excuses until warranty runs out. I notified you of this problem one month after I purchased it and I have lived with this problem for almost one year and now you tell me that you will give me a discount on a new one. I have already paid for a new dishwasher and that is what I expect in return. Thank you. I expect to hear from you soon.

Our brand new GE Profile dishwasher wasnt cleaning dishes (even after rinsing them before stacking them in the dishwasher). I cant remember the exact date of purchase for my GE Spacemaker microwave oven. I have a receipt somewhere, but I have receipts for repair dated 2002. It is for a door seal gasket for the microwave. A model JVM60 GE Spacemaker installed over the range. The microwave worked perfectly for several years. Then one day, when I pressed the start button, I noticed a small fire inside the window above the control panel where the time is displayed. I called repair man; I was told that it was the circuit board, and GE was not able to send repair spare part. Since then the microwave is only good for displaying the time, and storing my everyday pan. I do remember paying $400.00 for this microwave because I purchased it at my employment. It would seem to me a company making a $400.00 appliance would be backed by a circuit board, which they know would go bad in a short time. Thats why they only had a one year warranty guarantee. To show you the difference in a microwave appliance, I purchased a small counter top microwave in 1997; it still works like a charm, and I use it every day. From the negative reviews I read on these Spacemaker microwaves, I firmly believe there should be some compensation to us consumers for the money spent, plus the hazards we experienced. If that is not agreed, then all of us consumers should file a class action suit against GE.

Once you figure out how to load dishes into the very tight/ narrow tines they fall over and chip/break. When investigating the dishwashers by GE made in China/Taiwan etc all have same issue. The ones made in USA by GE have wider and longer tines. We have had MANY dishwashers over the 40 years and NEVER had one as bad as this. When calling GE customer service the senior rep was not willing to offer any customer satisfaction as nothing technically was wrong. At one point she stated we had made the purchase so live with it even though it was the wrong choice. We offered to pay for any cost difference, etc. When questioned about GEs interest in customer satisfaction she stated that was not a warranty issue. She was not concerned about a satisfied customer. With that, we will not be purchasing another GE product or its affiliates. What a waste of money.

I purchased this GE Adora dishwasher about 3 years ago from Home Depot and it cost about $550 which I think should translate into a well made dishwasher. I only run it about twice a week so it gets low use. On inspection this month I noticed the racks were already starting to rust and that there was a tear in the door gasket. I called the 800 number for GE consumers and they told me they could order me the racks for $200 a piece and that they would send out a repairman for $139 plus the $40 part. This is more than the dishwasher cost. They also told me I should have purchased the extended warranty and that this particular dishwasher has only a one year warranty. What happened to GE? My family has GE refrigerators for years without an issue and my dishwasher is already exhibiting problems after 3 years.

GE brags about employing its own service technicians yet, when I called to schedule an appointment to fix our Advantium 120 microwave (3 years old), they told me that unless I provided proof of purchase to the technician, he would charge me even for parts under warranty such as the magnetron tube. This in spite of the fact that they have all the purchase information at their fingertips, as I reported when we registered our purchase. They even told me our date of purchase, had our address, email address, etc. They dismissed my suggestion that an email from them to me that I could show the technician should suffice. After 3 years and severe family health issues, I have sadly misplaced the proof of purchase, not realizing that registering the appliance for warranty provided no real benefit; not even proof that I didnt steal the thing. I am saddened that a company of the former stature of GE would stoop so low to avoid a legitimate warranty repair.

The GE microwave oven that was installed by the owners of my 130-something
The GE microwave oven that was installed by the owners of my 130-something unit apartment complex caught fire in June 2014. The manufacture date is listed as December 2012. I moved into the unit in June 2013 and the microwave was brand new still and had never been used by anyone else. I myself rarely use the microwave and only use it for heating up cold food that I previously cooked on the stove top. After heating up rice using the 2 minute express option and removing the food from the microwave, I had gone to the restroom for 30 seconds only to return and find the microwave on fire. The fire ignited from the ceiling of the microwave. I had initially intended on going to the bathroom to take a shower but needed to open a new bar of soap, so I had only returned to the kitchen to throw the soap packaging in the trash. Had I not done the latter, my entire apartment could have caught fire and it would have been difficult if not impossible for me to escape from my third floor apartment. Reading all of these complaints it is really hard to believe that a government agency has not stepped in and forced GE to STOP MAKING MICROWAVES! From the complaints on this board it is clear to see that every year GE continues to make appliances that put consumers safety and lives at risk. You would think that after so many recalls that they would have perfected their product by now, but that is not the case. It almost seems as though they are just slapping new model and serial numbers on the same BAD product. The management in my building contacted GE and my microwave was replaced with another GE microwave manufactured in 2014. I did not want another GE microwave, but I only rent so I didnt have a choice. I used the microwave once so far and the fan automatically came on after 2 minutes of use. It does state inside the microwave that the fan may come on automatically, but I just dont trust this brand anymore. I have a countertop microwave that works perfectly fine that Ive owned for over 15 years that I will be using. I will unplug the GE microwave and just keep it for aesthetic purposes, since thats all its good for.

In 2008, after waiting 30 years, we remodeled our kitchen using both a GE Range & GE OTR Microwave, model # JVM1850. Last week, it started making a loud noise when started and wont heat. From reading online it sounds like the magnetron went. Everything else, fan, turntable, lights inside and outside work, but wont heat. I called in for service to find that it would cost $89.95 to have them come out to diagnose it. Also read that a magnatron is between $150 - $200, and used to be warranted for 5 yrs. New GE microwaves only carry a 1 year total warranty. So they know they are supplying junk to us. Had to just bite the bullet and replace it. People cant afford for appliances to only last this long, at the price they are charging. I am not only upset at having to spend another $450 only 6 1/2 years later to replace a microwave that was lightly used, but GE has chosen to change the look as well, so it no longer will match the range it sits above. When I was remodeling, I read so much about matching appliances... not matched anymore. Totally disgusted.

However, the GE Monogram Microwave ($499 at Best Buy) broke down 17 months later, a few days before Thanksgiving 2015. GE claimed it was out-of-warranty, and I would have to pay $99 to have a technician look at it, and would charge for repairs. We are stuck with the GE Monogram Microwave as it is a built-in unit and our cabinet is built around it. So we went and got a new one from Best Buy. When the new one came and when we removed it from the box, it had a large dent in it - a very large one. It clearly indicates a shoddy QC job, as the unit should not have left the factory with such an obvious dent. We asked BEST BUY to replace it, but a new one is not going to come till after Christmas. So it was 2 strikes against GE Microwave ovens for me.We spoke to GE and they were not very sympathetic, and amazingly did not even apologize for the inconvenience caused!! They just stuck to their out-of-warranty mantra, which I understand. But then the occurrence of a second event with another GE Microwave, and the inconvenience of sending back a big dented one was also not acknowledged or perhaps even understood by their CS representative. So it is strike 3 against GE Appliances for me.I would never recommend GE microwaves and was totally disappointed with the Customer service of the GE Appliance division. I also have GE Cooktop and two GE wall ovens and shudder to think what will happen if they should break down. Just sharing a sad experience that holds some lessons for me and my family and friends. (Rethink buying GE Appliances.)

I had a blow up with my GE microwave which came with 2 metal racks. I used the rack once and the microwave flared up as if I had warmed something on aluminum foil. I removed the racks. The microwave is 2 years old. Last week I warmed a chocolate chip cookie on a paper plate for 10 seconds. Immediately the microwave flared up, the plastic bracket that the shelf rest on burned and melted. I was lucky no one was hurt or a fire resulted. GE came to inspect the microwave and offered to replace it for $258.80. I am arguing with GE. I want them to replace it free of charge. Their own technician tells customers to never use the metal shelves. I maintain that the design or brackets are faulty and GE should stand behind their products. This microwave was always used correctly. Do consumers have any rights at all?

I called GE, b/c the microwave has paint flaking off and piling on top of my food. Just like snow flakes. You tap the inside-ceiling with your index finger lightly and it looks like theres a snow fall inside the microwave. Lots of metal is exposed. GE answer: metal is non-toxic, do not worry if small amounts ingested! Told me to not use it anymore and replace it at my own cost. After insisting that they are responsible for a defective product, they will give me a break of $100 on the price, conditioned on them confiscating the above microwave (so you or someone else does not use it). I purchased a GE Profile stocks in 2007 and a GE microwave model JVM7195SK1SS purchased 12/30/16. We have replaced the knobs on the stove 2 times because of peeling in the past. Now we need to replace the microwave handle. The handles and knobs look like metal but they are cheaply made white plastic covered with a sharp silver coating that peels. It appears the knobs get overheated when the oven opens and the microwave handle from the steam when cooking on the stove. Last night I cut my hand on the handle! We reordered the faulty handle and now getting charge $100 from GE. The company should take responsibility for their poor design and replace it for free with a nonpeeling part. I know that we will get the same handle and won’t be able to use the burner below or hope that using the fan will keep it from cracking again. I would never recommend a GE product again.

I bought this replacement dishwasher based on its energy efficiency rating and recommendation of the salesman. Worst dishwasher I have ever had by far (in 27 years)! Salesman didnt know it doesnt have a water heater. It worked so poorly I had a company repairman to look at the dishwasher within a week of delivery. He recommended we run the sink water until boiling before turning it on, always use normal power, steam and boost settings. The cutlery is still often dirty - you have to scrub all food off the cutlery and rinse until clean before putting it into the dishwasher. A year later, the dishwasher is not nearly as quiet and a cycle takes 4 hours. Because of the design, this machine loads quite a bit less than my old dishwasher. Overall, I am sure this dishwasher uses way more energy and I use more cycles per week. I wouldnt take this dishwasher if they were giving them away for free!

GE Profile microwave Model: PEB7226SF1SS came as part of the builder installation. In the first year had issues with the microwave not starting intermittently and had to call GE support who sent in a technician who had to work on the door alignment and the switch was the problem which said to have fixed. About 2.5 year from purchase the heating seemed to be irregular which we did not take much notice and then it stopped working completely. We called GE support and did get the usual routine of the product being out of warranty and have to pay for the technician. While scheduling they realized they did not have a their own service person in the vicinity and was advised to reach out to local service person.Local technician diagnosed that the magnetron has gone bad and advised most manufacturers have 10 years warranty on the magnetron as they are supposed to last for a long time and I should reach out to GE. Having reached out to GE support again to our surprise were advised that unlike most manufacturers this product did not have 10 year magnetron warranty. Customer service, part service and customer relations kept redirecting to each other. GE does not provide an option to sell the replacement magnetron to the customer and now want their authorized center to be engaged and paid again to have the part ordered and installed. Disappointed with GE product quality, their stand on warranty compared to their competition and their service which has given me run around and no solution. For the amt. of money I paid for this microwave, you would think it would outlast the house. I bought it 3 yrs ago. The touchpad covering started to get warped right off the bat, and the handle was always steaming hot when you used the stove top (also GE). The other day, while using the stove top, I happened to look at the microwave, and it had no power. I checked the breaker, it was fine. I happened to notice a crack on the touch pad. After further investigation, I noticed the entire touchpad is shattered. It was clearly from the heat given off from the stove top. And I wasnt even using the microwave at the time. I sent GE an email, didnt even get an auto response. I am going to call them, but we all know what they are going to say, and I am not paying $482 for the part. Was hoping there was a recall, since so many people on the net complain about the touchpad.

This is bad enough and very disappointing, but the next and most important issue I have with it is the fact that it doesnt clean properly. I always, each and every load, rewash 3 to 4 items. The stainless handles also get very hot to the touch, which isnt very safe for a toddler. If I had the strength, Id pick it up and throw it out the back door. GE Profile GLD4408RBB: Bought this dishwasher at Home Depot 2010 for our FL condo. We visit there periodically, dont rent out. We have used this dishwasher probably 50 times since buying. It never wash dishes well, leaving residue and we do clean them first. Now it doesnt drain; seems like pump not working. Its only five years old and hardly used. Its not worth having a repairman for labor and cost of parts. Very disappointed with GE product and wont buy another one.

Dishwasher lasted just little over a year when it broke down first time. Power switch made out soft plastic jammed up. Next cheaply made door close switch cracked. Part prices are average price. Because poor quality, I predict replacing this within 3-5 years.

I bought a microwave unit (HVM1540DP1BB) in August 2011. The warranty expired in 2012. But just a little over 1 and 1/2 months after the expiration, the unit would not power at all. The display did finally come on after a day with plug disconnected showing **, but if finally came to life. No more than a week later, the same thing happened. This time the unit does not come back to life, no reset. I had replaced in 2011 the original unit that the home builder had put in. That unit last eight years. GE makes terrible microwaves and I will not replace it this time with a GE.

We purchased our Adora over-the-stove microwave oven from Home Depot. The Adora brand is made exclusively for Home Depot and were sold on its special functions and value. Well now, 3 years later, this exclusive models glass fogs up when we use it. There are only 2 of us living at home. We use it maybe 4 or 5 times a day. A microwaves typical lifetime is 9 to 10 years. Also, by the way, when we turn on the fan to highest, it sounds like an express train hurtling through our kitchen. Our dog had a heart attack and died the first day we operated it. No he didnt. We dont even have a dog. But you get the picture.

When I entered my home I notice the microwave door was open and light was on. I closed it and took packages to my room. When I entered the kitchen I seen flames coming from inside unit. I put out flames with a fire. The panel was off and microwave was empty. My son said he left the door open because when he closed it hummed. I am very blessed that my home or loss of life did not happen. I contacted GE to see if there was a recall and was offered a 20.00 discount. I really feel that this is a hazard waiting to happen.

After a year and 1 day of use the microwave blew out and got in fire. Fortunately I was nearby and was able to extinguish the fire. I called the customer service that told me the warranty was over and all they can do is give me a discount on the purchase of another unit, and that I was on my own for the collateral damages due to the fire!

My dishwasher is doing the same thing as the recalled models. The GE Cafe model is not included in the recall. The dishwasher front, which is stainless steel, becomes so hot it burns to the touch and stays that way for hours. Burning smell in the kitchen! Cafe models need to be added to the recall!

This review is related to the Monogram 2.2 Cu. Ft. Built-In Microwave Oven model #ZEB1227SLSS. The GE site: https://appliances.monogram.com/us/specs/ZEB1227SLSS indicates in two places that the built-in trim kit is included (and one place where it is listed as additional), yet GE has confirmed that in fact, the trim kit is an optional add-on with a $325 additional cost. Calls to GEs consumer line have been disappointing. Me: Your website says its included, and is in a section with other features that are in fact included but not additional fees; GE: We have confirmed that the trim kit costs extra. We have, in fact, purchased the oven and are awaiting its installation, and I have other experience with GE Monogram appliances so I expect this to operate well. But I cannot understand their reluctance to acknowledge this error on their site. Potential buyers, please beware of this issue.

I have used 4 dishwashers of various brands in my house over the past 30 years. The current one is a new GE dishwasher (Model No: GDT695SSJ0SS), which is by far the worst. The dishwasher never dry, no matter which cycle I choose. When it is done (green light on) water still flowing down everywhere inside - on the door, on dishes, at the bottom. When I called GE customer service it said I have to use rinse agent in order to get it dry. Of course that means we have to constantly buy that additional product (made by a GE subsidiary?).For those who dont remember this, our old dishwashers did not required the use of additional product and still dried dishes perfectly. GE is apparently producing products of lower quality, yet the repairman sent by GE claimed that this model is their best ever. Really? Is this company so arrogant that it pays no attention to the convenience of its customers? Since the repairman found no defect with the machine (even though it does not dry), GE refused to accept either a replacement or a return. From design to functions to price this is indeed a lousy machine. Ill never purchase another GE product again.

This is a review from another customer “Not only does this dishwasher do a lousy job of cleaning dishes, I have just found out it allows dirt to collect under the door flange==lots of dirt! There isnt enough hot water to clean this out. Very gross--do not buy.” I agree with this 100%. I have to use Clorox wipes to wipe out this disgusting sludge that builds up under the door flange every couple days. I have to buy a new dishwasher because my dishes smell, are still dirty and very unsanitary. Do not buy!!!! My dishwasher is only 3 years old.

Our dishwasher has only ever served as a dish wetter or drying rack. It has NEVER CLEANED DISHES UNLESS they were put in the dishwasher already spotless. We have a GE Slate with hidden controls. Now, the racks are rotting away and the cost to replace them is nearly the cost of the entire unit. We are going to throw this one out and get a new dishwasher of another brand. DO NOT BUY GE DISHWASHERS!

She refused to tell me what the code meant, and instantly wanted to charge me for tech visit. I hung up. Then I googled it, and found out right away that it meant the start was paused/delayed for 1 hour. I had hit the delay button by mistake. This was not specified in the manual under Delay Start, nor was customer support trained or willing to provide the answer to such a simple question. GE Support is just a Scam.

Coincidence or not but after posting my review, threatening to get the attorney general involved, putting pressure on local GE distributor through the builder, we have received a replacement dishwasher. This is not a happy ending yet unfortunately. The installer who delivered the unit was filling in for someone who took a day off and was not familiar with complete process. He came to our house at 9am and left at 2:20pm after spending hours reading instructions and maps on how to put things together. The new unit works okay for now but does have a slow drip from the upper left corner. This has been an extremely frustrating battle and we are now more worried about what happens after the warranty runs out if problems continue. One option is to buy extended warranty and give GE more business, second is just to replace it with more reliable brand. I am giving GE two more stars for replacing the problem unit but we are still hurt from the entire process, especially after buying top of the line product. We truly feel that customer service people should have been more sensitive and understanding of the consumer instead of firing back. Their bad attitude really did not help and added more frustration.

I have a GE Profile dishwasher that is only 1 1/2 years old and the control panel has stopped working 2 times. The first time, it’s under warranty and it repair took place for a couple of minutes. The second time, it’s not under warranty and they want to charge $89 just for the service call, parts and labor. Crazy. That’s a $1000-plus appliance that has already broken two times. I cant run the dishwasher on any setting except the one that it decides to choose for us. Yes, it changes whenever it feels like it. This was one of their higher end dishwashers and, to be honest, it really doesnt clean any better than a lower end one that I had at a previous home.

Even though the dishwasher was bought 15 months ago, it was only used for the last past 5 months. There is no water fill up the washer. When I call GE for the service, the operator keeps saying that it is out of one-year warranty and I have to pay everything to fix it; I have proof that the product was in use under 5 months. The product clearly has a problem. I am not happy with their services and with the product.

I purchased a GE microwave, model LVM1750DPWW, in 2012. It was delivered approximately 12/6/2012 and was installed in July 2013 after our kitchen remodel was complete. In March 2014, my daughter was warming something on the rack when the back upper rear hook started sparking and caught fire. I am thankful the only damage was to the microwave and to the smell in the house for a few days. When I called Lowes and GE, they act like theyve never heard of this issue. Yet, I see many other complaints of the hooks catching fire. Just to be sure, I turned on the microwave again. The hook started sparking immediately. GE sent a repairman to the house who told me that GE ought to let people know not to leave the racks in the oven. Since she was cooking on the rack, it would be difficult not to have the rack in the oven. He said the oven was a safety concern, could not be repaired and that GE would bring out a new microwave and install it for me. Great! I was pleased - yet concerned. A couple days later, I received an email from GE customer service saying that we had put the rack in the oven incorrectly. There is NO way to have put it in incorrectly. Besides that, he couldnt have seen if this was true since the hook was burnt and melted. I am pretty angry.
