The oven works well. My complaint is that the glass door is very difficult to clean. Some kind of liquid got in between the panels and I cannot clean the glass without removing the oven door. Im afraid to remove the door as I may not be able to get it back on the oven. I have dirty glass I cant clean and that makes me unhappy. Otherwise the oven works just fine.

We purchased this model in July of 2019 and have had nothing but problems with it since. The design is really bad - if you set the temperature on the ideal setting, everything on the top shelf freezes solid. If you reduce the setting to the one below ideal, your freezer doesnt get cold enough to keep ice cream hard. The ice cubes are a little more than half the size of our last Whirlpool refrigerator and the unit is noisy. Weve had Whirlpool out to work on it 4 or 5 times in the first 6 months and twice weve had to throw away food due to the unit not cycling on and off properly. One of the technicians told us he spends a lot of time working on this particular model - evidently, it has a lot of issues. We are now using our old garage refrigerator while we try to get Lowes to give us a refund on this piece of junk.

I bought the Whirlpool mini frig from Target 3 years ago thinking it was made by whirlpool in USA!!!! 1) not really made by whirlpool!! Made by Glantz from China. Common deception of USA and Chinese mfg to fool consumers is to license a well knownBrand to glantz in china. Glantz mfg almost all mini frigs under dozens of well known brands. Federal Trade Commission should ban this kind of deceptive marketing. Complain to the FTC Wash DC!!! 2) Chinese mfg gantz mfg defects and how I fixed them: A) back of freezer compartment open, freezer does not freeze B) 45f inside not 40f!!! C) defective thermostat remedies: 1) aluminum foil to seal back freezer 2) weather stripping around door to bring temp from f45 to 40f.D) used Youtube video to adjust defective thermostat, until I can find a replacement thermostat!!! Dys videos: watch youtube repair videos before you trash your frig. 2) check the country of origin, if its made in china, it will not last very long!! 3) buy an extended warranty for any chinese product. You can buy generic frig replacement parts on eBay!!Yes chinese products are cheap, but they do not last!!! One good thing!!! This is a very quiet frig.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2007 from a recommendation from my repairman. He told me that most refrigerators last about five years. I cant believe after five years I will have to buy another refrigerator. I know someone that has a refrigerator that is 50 years old. Cant any refrigerator makers make any appliances that last? With all the technology we have nowadays, it seems like you could. You just want the public to spend more money on repairs or a appliances. Hope you buy the product you sell! Looking forward for a reply.

Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer model WTW6800WW1 - I bought this washer
Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer model WTW6800WW1 - I bought this washer 3 years ago. It cost me about $900. It has become very loud. I had the repairman here yesterday fixing my dryer. When he heard the washer, he told me the bearings are gone and its just a matter of time before the machine dies. To fix it involves a total rebuild of the motor, about $600! WTF! This is my 3rd washer in 19 years. There is something seriously wrong with appliance manufacturers. They no longer care about their reputations, and just produce crap! Expensive crap! Needless to say, I am now shopping for our 4th machine, which will be a Speedqueen basic washer with a 3-year warranty!

Bought at Lowes. Washer was horribly out of balance on first use. Called warranty # to get service. Was made appointment by Whirlpool for next day. Too good to be true I thought and I was right. A week later, repair company called to make their own appt, chuckled and said Whirlpool does NOT make appointments for them. They came out to see washer and at the time of appointment, the guy said sometimes they come from the factory not hooked up right inside and after he went back to a lady in the office, Jonnys Appl Repair, Bozeman, MT said they would not fix it because washer was not sitting on a concrete floor. They are idiots. Finally, washer completely broke 7 months later. There was no service that would honor ANY appointment Whirlpool made. Went through 6 repair companies trying to get a close appointment date. Hopefully next week will be the magic repair. GO WITH SEARS. Repair is directly through them and they show up when they say they will. Ive never had a new product not working right when purchased at Sears.

My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool French-door Refrigerator in Feb. 2014 from Best Buy. We did not purchase a warranty through them (BIG MISTAKE) because everything we heard about Whirlpool was positive, at least through friends and family. 1 year and 6 months later we have NO freezer and their warranty expires a year after purchase date! I called the company and they are no help at all! From all the comments I have read on here, there are few positive results! From now on I will be checking all reviews before I purchase a product again and WILL NEVER buy another whirlpool product again!

If you are in the market for a new washing machine, steer clear of the Whirlpool Cabrio (or any Whirlpool for that matter). We have had issues with ours from the beginning. We had Whirlpool techs come out and were continually unable to fix the issues. Eventually they told them that it was not broken, even though one tech told us it definitely was. After four service calls they just stopped sending out techs and told us too bad. Now after less than two years it is leaking from the bottom. Yeah, Whirlpool, theres no problem with it. Save yourself the potential headache and get something else. Anything else.

I bought a Whirlpool model # WRF757SDEM. It has failed twice in 7 months. The tops temperature hovers at 54 degrees Fahrenheit. The freezer works fine. I had a whirlpool fridge for 10 years before I bought this one and never had trouble with it. This is the second time in 6-7 weeks that it breaks down.

This is an AMAZING dryer. Probably the best I've ever used. My husband & I live in a mobile home so our main reason for purchase is the fact it is VENTLESS & it's compact. The dryer is so quiet. You can hardly hear it with a tv going. It doesn't take any more time to dry than another modern dryer. The end result are damp clothes, however there is enough steam and heat left in the bin at the end of the cycle to where if you fluff the clothes they'll be dry in a matter of seconds. The dryer acts as a dehumidifier by capturing moisture from the air it uses. All the features are up to date and easy to figure out. It's worked extremely well since we've had it and I'm happy to say we LOVE IT!

Wish we had gone online to check all the complaints otherwise we would have NEVER bought a Whirlpool model #EB9FVHLVS. Only 3 years old. First repair call to fix a manufacturers faulty grommet manifested by leaking in the bottom freezer portion. Just outside the warranty - did not purchase extended. Now I know why retailers recommend the extended. My sister overheard the repairman call in the product to his contact at Platinum Appliance Service Inc., and he made direct reference to the model number in the category of Whirlpool products known to have this specific design flaw, and that the product was never recalled but customers were directed to purchase a repair kit to fix the problem. Apparently this became a very well documented and repeated incident within the 1-2 year purchase date of these products and models with the known factory installed defect were still sent out to retailers at a reduced cost with no reference, warning or attention to the factory defect. Now 4 months after the first call we have to call in for another repair issue because our light in both compartments and the motor shuts off for hours at a time. We lost about $80 in meat products, so now were afraid to keep any costly items in the freezer because we cant afford to replace a $100 of thawed products every week on top of groceries already bought!!! It seems as though Whirlpool is gleefully generating business for appliance repair while making more than one hole in the consumers wallet.

Since my review I have been corresponding with Whirlpool Customer Service (Chris). First he sent me an email and mailed a replacement board to have us (the homeowner) install. Because the cover was so melted, the replacement board would not fit down into it. I emailed pictures to Chris. Once he saw the pictures, he called me and arranged for the water heater to be replaced since it was still under warranty. He even extended the authorization code so we would have plenty of time to arrange for a plumber to do the work. We had to pay for the plumber, but Whirlpool arranged for us to have a new water heater. Now I can sleep at night without worrying that my house would burn down if the old water heater caught fire. Chris was GREAT to work with. I had a direct number to him and called any time I had a question. I was very impressed with Whirlpools Customer Service.

I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator from Whirlpool guest system (online)
I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator from Whirlpool guest system (online) in 2010 for around $1,160. Recently, it stopped dispensing water from the dispenser. I called the Whirlpool certified A&E serviceman to repair the dispenser. He concluded that the water line is frozen inside the door. He also stated that such issues with the door shouldnt happen for at least 10 years. He gave me a bill of $920 to replace the door. I called Whirlpool and they declined to pay for the repair as it is out of warranty. I feel that they sold me a faulty refrigerator and they should pay for this expensive repair. With $920, I can probably pay for a new refrigerator (not Whirlpool, of course). I am completely disappointed by Whirlpools customer service and poor quality of their product. This company, I believe, is more interested in selling crappy products, make profit and not provide good customer service. Shame on you!

I would like someone to explain to me why the control panel I.e. brains of the dishwasher which is around water is so sensitive to WATER. My daughter is the owner of the house and purchased this dishwasher last summer (2016) and within weeks we were having issue with the sensors. This supposedly was not covered under warranty (it was a WATER ISSUE). So now a dishwasher which cost over 700.00 is a door stop!! Where is people’s common sense... yes Im over 60 years old and very frustrated with the money that was spent for such an inferior product. Imagine having a dishwasher sensitive to water. The people who made it should give their heads a shake. Frustrated grandmother.

I purchased a Whirlpool Microwave GMH6185XVQ1 on 7/2010 for kitchen remodel. It needed a magnetron repair just after one year warranty ran out. I called Whirlpool and they agreed to repair. Whirlpool sent me an offer for an extended contract. I purchased it. Since microwave was out of warranty at time of contract purchase, I was told there would be a 60-day waiting period. Microwave broke again on 3/2012. I waited until extended contract was in effect. I was told since microwave broke before contract was valid, I would have to pay out of pocket to repair, then contract would be valid after that. It appears (per internet research) these microwaves have bad magnetrons that need frequent repair. I wrote to BBB to complain.

This is the worst washer ever. I purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Top load) brand new in the box thinking it was a great price and a good deal. Worst choice ever. I have been so disappointed in this product. It is very noisy which is something I have learned to live with. It doesnt even get simple stains out. I have tried every load combination and change detergents and stain remover a couple of times. Most time I have to soak stains again and again and then wash several times and most times it simply doesnt clean clothes. It leaves detergent residue on dark clothes so of course I end up washing those again as well. The towels and sheets turn into mushrooms in the bottom of washer.

Purchased our stainless steel Whirlpool Gold range hood microwave oven in J
Purchased our stainless steel Whirlpool Gold range hood microwave oven in January 2011. By August, there were problems. It was noisy. It would occasionally shut off for no apparent reason and eventually in August of that same year, it completely stopped heating. The magnetron was replaced at no charge because it was still under warranty. The microwave has continued to run very loudly, vibrate a lot and is still prone to random shutoffs. Now a little over 2 years later, it has now stopped heating again...I am assuming another bad magnetron. How is that possible? Our last microwave lasted for over 10 years! In fact we got rid of it when it was still working fine so we could get this one for over the range instead of on our countertop. So now I have a Whirlpool paper weight for which I originally paid $485. When I called Whirlpool, I was informed a service call would be $130.00 PLUS any necessary parts and labor costs OR I could purchase the repair plus 1-yr extended warranty for $289.95. Upon requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was informed that there were no flags in the system indicating any problems with this line of microwaves. I further inquired on how they are aware of problems... Essentially a phone call warrants little proof of any problem. A service tech would have to actually go out and witness that there is a problem for it to be noted. So, for those of us that simply decide to turn our back on the product and buy a new microwave, it would go undocumented by their company. My top-of-the-line microwave is less than 3 years old and has broken down again. Doesnt common sense tell you that there is a problem with the quality? I know Whirlpool has been around for 100+ years and I really want to like them, but if they dont support the consumers that purchased their products, I can no longer do the same for them.

People should consider themselves lucky to get 2 yrs, 1yr, 6 mos out of these pieces of junk. Mine replaced an 8 year old Bradford White that was originally installed when the house was built. Funny thing, we had the exact same BW in our last house. Same problem after exactly 8 years - tank leaked. Anyway, this Whirlpool 40 gal gas was installed by a professional plumber ($200) and ran fine for 6 days before the pilot went out the 1st time. In the next 10 days it went out 9 more times until it wouldnt stay lit at all. I would light the pilot and it would be out in 5 min or less. I watched for the error code the last time - 2 flashes which indicated thermocouple low voltage. This is totally ridiculous. After research - which I should have done before I bought - it looks like a total bad design problem with associated customer service nightmares and much additional cost to the customer. AND EVERYONE WHO MAKES AND SELLS THESE THINGS KNOWS ABOUT IT. Attempting to fix this thing - even IF labor was included - looks like throwing good money after bad. When are these companies going to be held accountable for producing cheap poorly designed products and then let the consumer foot the cost of labor and/or replacement. You can say all you want about less government but this is just a small example of what you get when you have less government. Doing further research, it looks like NO manufacturer of gas water heaters can produce a reliable product now. So now, Im installing a Bradford White ELECTRIC water heater. Thats and extra $250 for the electrical service that needs to go in. AND additional for the actual install by a plumber. At least Lowes is not giving me a hard time about getting all my money back for the Whirlpool since its less than 30 days since the purchase. I guess I should consider myself lucky it malfunctioned almost immediately. Total out of pocket on the initial Whirlpool install: $560. Total out of pocket with reinstall of BW Electric: $1000. My time spent on this mess: priceless. At least we will have hot water, even though it will cost more per month in electricity to do it. Thanks Whirlpool - stay classy.

Purchased a Whirlpool top loading washer. The agitation cycle is unreasonably loud. So loud you can hear it everywhere in my home and cannot have a conversation within about 30 feet of it. When I ran it for the first time I thought it was malfunctioning and when I called Whirlpool I thought they would send a technician to fix the problem but they told me that the sound was perfectly normal for high efficiency washers! Whirlpool realized in 2002 that this was a defective part. In 2005, they recalled the product. I purchased the Hot Water Heater (Model # BFG1F4034T3NOV) in 2006. Being this product was recalled in 2005, why was it still being sold at Lowes and other stores? Why wasnt it pulled from the shelves? Why werent the parts replaced before being sold? The hot water heater stopped producing hot water. I contacted Whirlpool and they said the gas control valve had to be replaced; they gave me a part # and an authorization # and told me I could pick it up at Lowes. I asked about installation, because it is still under warranty. They said they dont service this. I picked up the part and tried to find a plumber to do the work and they said it was too small a job. I had to impose on friends to help me; one is a volunteer fireman. He came out and put on the new part and in doing so, another piece broke. We called Whirlpool and they said they had to replace the manifold door assembly. They overnighted the part. Again, I asked about them servicing this hot water heater and I told them I am a single parent and cant do this work. They said they dont service this item. I then had a handyman come out to try to fix it and he wasnt able to get it to work and now I smelled gas (it cost me $198). I had to call the gas company and they came and said there was a leak and turned it off and gave me a violation. I called the company I have an HVAC contract with and they added the hot water heater to that contract and it cost me $120 more for a year. They finally got it working, I was without hot water for a week. I do not recommend anyone buy products from this company. They are horrible to do business with and their service is awful (the service they dont offer).

When you purchase a Cabrio high efficiency washer dont expect clean clothes
When you purchase a Cabrio high efficiency washer dont expect clean clothes! But, you can expect holes, torn and, smelly clothes. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to wash. The machine I purchased has a glass top but its dark and you cant see into the machine so that was a waste of money! If you wash clothes in 1/4 depth of water, nothing gets clean. Who even designed this disaster? I had enough common sense to know it was going to be bad but the salesman at Lowes informed me that ALL washers were high-efficiency and getting a tub full of water days are over. I wish we wouldve just paid for repair and kept my old washer. I hate doing laundry with this machine! I use to be able to wash my blankets, pillows, curtains, throw rugs, even car mats with no problems. Not anymore! This machine couldnt handle it. You ought to see my sheets and shirts when theyre done. They come out twisted up so tight I have to untangle them before they go to dryer. What a horrible nightmare of a machine! If we were not out so much money Id send this machine to the junkyard and get a real washer with realistic amounts of water! How are you saving anything when clothes require 2 times to get somewhat clean??? If youre reading this and considering a high-efficiency washing machine, DONT DO IT!! You will regret it. Im counting the days when I can junk mine!

We have online instructions on how to repair and have done this many times and the rust comes back. About a week ago we sanded, primed and enamel painted the area plus I have put NO BLEACH in the dispenser and the rust is coming back. Buyer beware. There was a class action lawsuit filed for our Whirlpool dishwasher some years ago. The control panel shorted and or overheated on ours in February of 2021, causing it to emit white plastic smelling smoke. (Glad we were home when we ran it.) I opened the door to turn it off and it continued to run, smoke and spray water all over the kitchen. Called Fire Department. Filed a complaint with Whirlpool. They sent a repair person to inspect and take photos. Its been 6 weeks and still have not received a call from them. I bought a Frigidaire. It is made by Electrolux. FYI, Kenmore is also made by Whirlpool.

Pressing start would begin the machine again. Sometimes, we could go several loads with no problems and other times it will stop three or four times in one load. Occasionally, pressing start would not work and the machine would require unplugging and restarting. We have had several service calls in. We were disappointed but decided it was ok as long as the range performed fine. However, within 6 months of buying it, the oven fan broke and the oven became unusable. I used it only 2 - 3 times before it gave up. Extremely disappointed. Our old oven was sturdier and lasted many years and was in a very good condition when we gave it away. I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher from Home Depot on 2/5/2015. It was delivered damaged on 2/9/2015. Home Depot refused to take it back and Whirlpool sent a tech out to see the damage. I told them I did not want a refurbished dishwasher that I paid almost $1000 for. Whirlpool advised Home Depot that the machine can be repaired. Once again I told both whirlpool and Home Depot that I did not want this dishwasher and to pick it up. Home Depot stated that there would be a 15 percent restocking fee along with a $65 to pick up the washer. Why should we have to pay anything? I am so disgusted for the treatment I received.

Cabrio (h2low system) top load washer ..USA 120 volt - A true piece of crap... Bought 2010... Even when it does work, 5% of any load will NOT spin out... The damn thing will refill its tub with rinse water to redistribute load so as to get a spin out. SOMETIME month ago, thing just dies... nothing. Technician comes out for two hours its the shift sensor. Replace for 200+ bucks... done. Works for three weeks, dies, tech is back. 4 hrs... its a bad processor board. Ordered 140$ rebuild, comes in mail few days later. Tech is back, replaces board. We have smoke!! Looks like a bad motor part. I could go on... but why. Never ever buy one of these sorry pieces of dreck. Absolutely the worst. Poor quality even when it works. Horrible wash quality. Never again Cabrio. Remember it.

Four months after purchasing an $1,800 stainless French door fridge it began to not cool even though it was running. I called and was on hold for 45 minutes, then transferred to a different service company that could only come 3 days later. They were here a total of 3 times and each time they could not fix it. It would run for a few days or weeks then die again. Each time I lost a few hundred dollars in food. Each time I was on the phone for almost an hour, and each time it was days later before they would come. Whirlpool refused to refund or swap out the unit. I would have been stuck if it were not for Home Depot finally agreeing to exchange it for an LG.I have never been so upset with any companies customer service in my 45 yrs. The only reason that I am writing this is because my Sony 65 TV died the other day. It was 6 months old and I called Sony. They answered within four minutes and quickly decided to exchange it for a new one and extend my warranty for 2 additional years. There are still decent companies out there. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio model # wtw5500xw2 about two 1/2 years ago. Besides my clothes not clean, I havent have any problems with it until recently. Usually it doesnt spin. The clothes are left soak and wet. First the belt broke, then the lid lock, then the nut came off the pulley, then the splutch assembly. There was a few more problems in there. Now who knows what is wrong with it? It is one problem after another. It is a money trap. The CEO was just after money. There needs to be one big lawsuit against Whirlpool. After I find out what is wrong with it and the cost to fix it, I probably will just go buy a new washer/dryer set. And it will NOT be a Whirlpool.

Misinformation provided about their products - I ordered the Whirlpool 30 Drop-In Electric Range pictured in their literature with a gray oven door. When I had it installed, I thought it had a green film covering the oven door. It is not a film. It is the oven door color. It does not show that or talk about it in any of the literature. I would not have bought or paid to have this range installed. The green color does not go in my kitchen! I would sue them for misinformation if I had the money to spare! I will never buy another Whirlpool item.

The damper switch at the top of my water heater, one I purchased at Lowes stopped working. I talked to someone at the local store, and I was told I had to contain the manufacturer. I called the number on the front of my unit. The tech talked my husband through the restart process...not once, but on two separate occasions. We were told that because it was intermittent, something they decided Over the Phone, they could do nothing. They would neither send a replacement part nor a technician. By the time we had to call back two days later, restart was impossible. JUST to get the part, a specialty piece, we now have to pay for expedited shipping! And either install ourselves, or wait 5 days After Arrival (!!), to get the stupid thing fixed! If they had sent the part out originally when we asked, we wouldnt have to wait for hot water or pay anything for a warrantied piece! Its a racket. Stay away!!!

My WTW4900BWO failed after about 2 1/2 years. Out of warranty, but I called Whirlpool Customer Service and was initially delighted that they offered to sell me a repair warranty that would cover the repair of my broken transmission. Was told that through AIG Insurance, I would have a repairman at the house tomorrow to repair the washer. A few hours later, their contracted local repair service called to try to push appointment back a day but I refused since I was told my washer would be repaired tomorrow. They showed up the next day in a old faded van, diagnosed the problem and then told me they would have to get authorization and come back in 3-4 days. A couple of days later I received a voice mail from AIG saying that since the cost of repair was more than the cost of the premium, they were canceling my policy & would refund my money. So a week later I still had a broken machine and no solution other than buying a new one or paying the cost of a new one to repair. Moral of the story: Whirlpool builds unreliable washing machines (and water softeners) and their customer service will promise you a repair that may not happen. Dont buy Whirlpool, but if you feel compelled, you better buy an extended warranty and cross your fingers. That said, we always had purchased GE appliances and never had a problem.

Whirlpool Washing Machine WTW4800XQ4 - This is an expensive piece of garbage. My clothes come out with lint still on them. They do not smell clean and in fact, I wonder if they even are. My blankets come out heavy and soaking wet, so much so that I have to repeat a rinse and drain cycle before I can place into the dryer. The machine is always off balance and its so loud that my almost deaf grandmother who cant hear a thing wants to know what that noise is when shes halfway across the house each time Im doing laundry. Ive called Whirlpool and they have sent a tech out who insisted it was I who did not know how to load a washer and that was causing all of the problems. I found this interesting since I am 37 and never encountered difficulty with a washing machine before. Our visit concluded when he insisted it was user error and went on his way. The next day, the washer was not even cycling, and I phoned whirlpool back. This time, there was a computer problem and there was no arguing about it. The technician came back out reset the internal computer. The machine seemed to run more quietly for about a week, but went right back to its old loud self. The only improvement Ive noted since then is it does not move across the floor now while washing. I wish I never bought this thing and would certainly never recommend it.

We call their service center and have them check, findings is the motor not working and have to replace, we are asking them to replace it with new washing machine, but they only replace the motor, what we cannot accept is that they replace it with a surplus motor. Only two weeks used and they replace only surplus parts!!! Damn. What a bad experience... (The motor they put is noisy too)! After a year the spring hinge collapse and have to fix it again. This started Sept 27 2017 when the ordered online electric range 30 inch slide in oven Whirlpool brand was delivered. When using the oven, a noxious diesel smell filled my home, despite multiple attempts to burn in the unit as advised. 10 days later after still trying to burn it in fumes got worse. I called corp who then sent over a tech to look at it and the tech shared with me when he arrived that he was the wrong person since he cant smell due to an old injury! He admitted he smelled a chemical when it first went on but it went away for him but might have went away due to is impaired smelling ability. I called Corp back and they totally agreed something was wrong with it that could not be repaired and the unit should be picked up and I should be paid back that day it is picked up. They said in a few days which later turned in 2-3 weeks out and counting... I filed a complaint with the BBB due to the ongoing issues. Corp office said they would pick up unit and at that time hand deliver me my refund in full. At first the pick up was weeks out but after BBB was notified they came yesterday 10/18/17 and removed unit, but no check! I called Corp again this time asking why I did not get my money as they promised she said someone dropped the ball, and that someone should have told me that since they had to get someone non-local to get it that they will mail me the check in 14-21 days! She said I see in the notes. They told you they would hand deliver you your refund so they should have called you about the change. So here I sit... No oven in use since Sept 18 and no money back to buy one for weeks yet. I have never been told, despite my requests as to what the chemical was that I was burning off in my home and exposed my family to over 10 days which we had headaches and nausea from (despite windows opened and fans going at full blast). Only that it might have come from the manufacturer or process. This company isnt the only one who has had issues on occasion with a defect in this never-ending chemical smell but the lack of regard of my safety concerns and failure to stand up to what they offered to do (poorly handled response) is simply wrong and bad business. I have not dealt with Whirlpool regarding matters ever and have very little of their products in my home so unsure if this is unique or standard with them. I wont buy their products anymore because I am less than very dissatisfied with my experience. I may have been the only unlucky person having this kind of response from this company but felt the need to share.

MODELGR673LXOQ WHIRLPOOL RANGE - I purchased this range in January 2014. It is a good-looking range with a ceramic top and a convection oven. It has burned more food in a year than I had burned in several years. The top burners get red hot no matter where you have them set. They turn on very hot, then turn off and after a while they are red hot again. Cooking anything that requires a medium or less heat burns to the pan bottom. The oven works alright as a regular oven but when put on convection it burns the food closest to the fan before the rest is cooked. The company sent a technician to check the stove. He checked the temperature of the oven and said it was running too hot. He changed that setting and the first time I tried to bake it took forever. I reset the oven back to where it had been. The tech made no attempt to check the top burners as he said they couldnt all be bad. I hate this stove I had my former stove for thirty years and never had problems with it.

My old above range microwave was 12 y.o. and worked fine, I should have kept it. I had to replace my new Whirlpool Microwave after 4 years and 4 repairs. (Main Power Diode kept failing). Now my Whirlpool Gold fridge is not defrosting, even the freezer light switch is frozen. This French door freezer also seems to have less capacity than my old upright freezer. When we moved into our home this past year there was a Whirlpool gas stove model number W10406473A. I recently ran into a serious problem where my cat walked across the knob area and pushed and turned the knob causing the gas to come on the stove. This is a problem due to the fact that a child could have also have easily turned on this stove. This is a definite fire hazard as well as a carbon dioxide problem. I have had this product now for 1.5 years and am very dissatisfied with it. Whirlpool calls their oven an Aqua Lift Self Clean, which is terribly misleading. There is nothing self-cleaning about it, except that the person who needs to clean it is me (myself)! I cannot use oven cleaners on it, because that will void my warranty, so the only way to clean it is to scrub, scrub, scrub, down on my hands and knees, which I havent had to do for many a year. My second issue is with the glass stovetop. I have had many glass tops before and have never, never had such trouble cleaning it. Every time I use the stovetop I need to scrub and polish vehemently to clean it. And thirdly, the dials fail very quickly, and to replace them costs me $50.00 a pop! In just 1.5 years two dials have failed. This is just unacceptable, and I say shame on Whirlpool, and shame on the company that sold it to me. I will never, ever purchase another Whirlpool appliance again.

I had purchased fully automatic top loaded WHIRLPOOL WM 360 BW PRO-HS 9.5 on 08/05/2019. I had purchased the above machine after going through the various claims made on the website. However, I regret to say that since installation I find that the performance of the machine is not up to my satisfaction. Even after two visits by the engineer, the following issues remain:(i) The machine makes lot of noise in the initial stage.(ii) Though the timer shows a particular time during selection of a washing cycle, in reality the machine takes one and half times more than the timing shown. In case one selects warm / hot water, the actual time taken is twice that shown or more. I am sure in winters it will take more time in case warm / hot water is selected.(iii) The clothes get badly entangled during wash.In the past I had a LG front loading washing machine which never gave me any problem. I had gone for the best top loading model of Whirlpool hoping for better performance but it has only caused problems. Not worth the expenditure.

My 3 year old Whirlpool dishwasher (model GU3200XTXY3), broke down for the third time. Under extended warranty with my insurance company, a repair tech was sent out to diagnose the problem. He quickly found that the heater had been continuously running (not just during drying), which caused the machine to quit working. He also found that all the wiring inside the dishwasher was spliced together, those two things=fire hazard! Because the heater was always running, it was super heating all the water used to clean the dishes. The vent to release the steam is located on the top of the door (right under counter edge). The dishwasher was producing hotter and more steam which slowly ate away at the particle board under the cabinets. No, we dont have the most expensive countertops, but Whirlpool should be held responsible for producing a faulty product with a faulty design. I have contacted Whirlpool and they claim to have mailed a claim form 3 weeks ago. I have not received it. Posted on social media about it, and was told I must only speak with the person who sent me the form. Purchased the Sears Oasis (made by Whirlpool) washer and dryer almost 4 years ago and I have worked on these machines more than the Maytag machine and dryer I used for over 22 years. Electronic and mechanical problems. One recurring problem is loose change working its way into the drain pump on the washer and it knocks a hole in the side of the housing. We bought this washer from Sears with big hope. Within the first year, we had 14 service call covered by the warranty but required 2 to 3 weeks in doing without. Whirlpool replaced the washer at no charge but continued to have various issues over the years. The new one is the control module that Whirlpool knew was faulty but did not let their customers know. The control module went over the weekend but I repaired it myself and do not have any more issues. I literally went in and tightened all of the hardware, removed and install the pulleys, motors pumps and replaced a lot of keep components with better quality. Guess that year the CEO made only 20 million rather than 19 million. Being an American company I was disappointed by the consumer relations people but everything is a throw away nowadays. Will not buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again. Where has American product pride gone?

I paid over $1,000.00 for a washer based upon previous experience with Whirlpool appliances. I am single, over 65, and use this machine infrequently, as compared to when I had children. The only thing Whirlpool is offering is another of their machines at a discounted price. I value principles more than dollars. I refuse to give them another $600+ as a reward for making junk which apparently should have been recalled. The part I need is not available any place Ive found online. And it completely controls the power to the machine. You cannot open the door, you cannot turn it on. I had two service calls to discover this part is not available.

Model # WRF990SLAM00 Ser# K23919328 - It should be possible to rate this piece of junk zero stars!! Purchased on Feb 2013, it is driving me and my wife insane. It is noisy compressor wise all the time (Our kitchen and living room in the townhouse are one room). The problems started after the hurricane in 2016 killed our power for three days. I had to shut the refrigerator down to manually defrost the freezer section because the fan on the fan-coil was hitting a huge accumulation of ice. Then the weird blackouts started approx once per month where the panel light as well as the interior lights went on and off every minute with that dreadful BEEP. This went on for over 24 hrs and made living in the same room HELL. The beep and three clicks happen every minute and the cooling is none. Whirlpool service came ($80.00) just to look at it and will come back with the rest of the bill which probably will be astronomical. I feel cheated big time!! Minute and the cooling has worsened big time. Whirlpool service came ($ 80.00) just to look at it and stated it needs a new computer board as well as a new front panel on the left door.

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator at Home Depot for about $700. Six months later, suddenly, it starts making an intermittent but constant loud grinding noise and then the squeaking started. I called Home Depot first because I bought the protection plan. They referred me to Whirlpool who said the protection plan doesn’t kick in until another year after the warranty ends. It makes these noises whenever it runs, which seems to be more often (that it is running). Whirlpool may still charge $120 just for someone to come look at it even though it is under warranty. I asked another repair place and they said it might void my warranty for them to look at it instead. Whirlpool said it wouldn’t void the warranty but they would only work on it after the first repair person was finished. I’m waiting for the repair guy to come and see why it is making these loud noises. Another person with more knowledge of fridges than I have listened to the noises and said it sounds like friction in a motor. I read a review of the fridge that said the reviewer had problems after only 6 months and I thought that must be a fluke. Apparently not.

I had a perfectly good Kenmore range, but I didnt like the color. I purchased a Whirlpool 30-inch gas range at Lowes. I had problems immediately! The repairmen were at my house 6 times within the first year. My warranty expired and they wanted me to pay for an extended warranty. I refused to pay any more for this piece of junk! I fought with Whirlpool and demanded they either replace the range or reimburse me the full cost. They finally agreed, after many heated conversations, to replace or reimburse me as long as I promised not to purchase a Whirlpool product again. What kind of company would say that? A company that knows their product is defective and has poor customer service. I opted to take the new range that they promised wouldnt have the same problems. It is having the same issues as the original one. It shuts off in the middle of cooking and it is infuriating to say the least. I can promise Whirlpool I will never purchase a product from them ever again!

My family purchased a Whirlpool stainless steel dishwasher at Lowes for around $500. We were replacing a very old GE dishwasher which was so loud you had to leave the room anytime you started it because you couldnt even talk over it. We love the new Whirlpool dishwasher. It is so quiet we thought it was broken at first because we couldnt hear it running and even though it cleans exceptionally well we still sometimes have to look to see that the light is on to know that its actually running. The whole family agrees this may be one of the best purchases weve ever made. The only con I could think of is my son and I put the dishwasher in ourselves and this is the first one weve ever done and the instructions werent as clear so we had to redo the piping of the waterlines a couple of times to figure out in what order to be done. But everything hooked up correctly and worked immediately without a problem. Couldnt be happier.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine F1 code - We have had this washing machine
Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine F1 code - We have had this washing machine for over 6 years now, and ever since our 3 year warranty time was up, the washing machine will only stop, and display the F1 code as soon as the wash cycle has completed, with 23 minutes left. To start off, with this problem, it is causing me more water, and electricity that should not have to be wasted if the machine worked properly. I called the place where I got the machine, and was told to give Whirlpool a call. I did this, and was told that there was nothing that could be done, and if I would like to schedule an appointment for a tech to come out and work on it, they could do that. YES, I would have to pay for it. Needless to say, the washer has been doing this for over 6 years, and if there is a way to get it fixed WITHOUT having to pay for the repairs, that would be wonderful.

Our machine was bought via the employee purchase program. Its just under 2 years old and the bearing has been out for nearly 6 months. I called Whirlpool and our local Whirlpool repairman. They both want hundreds of dollars to repair it. Being pretty handy, my husband and I decided to fix it ourselves. Trying to find compatible parts for this model is a NIGHTMARE. Everything in my house is Whirlpool...range, dishwasher (also junk), microwave, fridge, washer, dryer...and it will all be systematically replaced with ANYTHING BUT WHIRLPOOL OR ITS COUNTERPARTS.

It does NOT get the clothes clean and dont even try to bleach white towels or socks, it doesnt pump the correct amount of hot water and things come out just as dirty as when they went in. It tangles everything together and frequently stops working because it unbalances the load with its lack of water. Ive always been proud of how my familys laundry looked and now Im just embarrassed. Purchased this dishwasher in January 2012, and it stopped working in May 2015. We replaced thermal fuse a year ago and just had to replace the control panel. It worked for 1 day and through 2 wash cycles, but during the 3rd wash cycle, it failed to drain and no power again, which is the same problem we had before. We opted to also replace the control board, just to be safe. Lol. What a piece of junk! Whirlpool is a pathetic excuse for a company, and, judging from others experiences with the customer service department, we will not bother contacting these ** since they clearly have no interest in providing any service at all to their customers. I have had many other lower end dishwasher models, and all of them worked well past the 5 - 10 year mark and never stopped working or required any service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM WHIRLPOOL AND HAVE SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE I KNOW. Good luck, Whirlpool. I do not expect they will be around in 10 years. Lol. Do not give your hard earned money to these idiots for the junk that they peddle, and please let your local appliance dealer know why you wish to purchase any other brand BUT Whirlpool. Consumers are not stupid, Whirlpool! You are ignorant for banking on that and should be shut down for your unfair business practices, not to mention misrepresentation of your despicable products.

Four years ago, we remodeled our kitchen and purchased the Whirlpool Quiet
Four years ago, we remodeled our kitchen and purchased the Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher, with a one-year service warranty. To be fair, we have not had a problem with the operation of the dishwasher, but rather, the quality of the dishwasher. Within the first two years, the front panel of the dishwasher started turning brown and rusting through from the steam escaping the dishwasher. The labels on the operating buttons have peeled off, again, from the heat of the dishwasher. The upright spokes on bottom tray, that hold dishes and etc. in place, started rusting through and breaking off. Guides which allow top drawer to slide in and out and hold drawer in place, have weakened, so drawer is constantly dropping or sagging.I have had other dishwashers that have certainly lasted more than four years but was encouraged by a Home Depot salesman that this was a great machine for the price! I should have paid closer attention to that for the price part. In any event, I called Whirlpools customer service department, believing that in this day and age, SOMETHING could be done to help with these issues and was told, quite succinctly, that there was nothing Whirlpool could do. I asked about standing by the integrity of their product and got no response to that either.I am an associate with American Girl, a company that stands by the quality of its product FOR LIFE. To be told by a customer service rep from a much larger company, that there was nothing they could do to help me, completely blew me away. I have taken pictures that are pretty indicative of the quality of this dishwasher and will be going online to warn other consumers against purchasing Whirlpool products.

We bought a Whirlpool cook stove with a black top in 2009 and this year, in 2011, while cooking a pot of stew, the stove top burner began to make loud popping sounds. When I went to check it out, there was smoke coming out from under the pan and pieces of glass that had exploded out in small chunks. When calling the customer service line at Whirlpool, they told us that it was no longer under warranty and could not be of help. Their only explanation was that they would only cover a new stove top if it had cracked or broken this way when putting a cold pot on a hot burner. They said their technician could tell if this was why the shards of glass were exploded from the burner.

We have always bought whirlpool appliances, and trusted the name. We can put a man on the moon but we cant build a reliable bottom freezer refrigerator. My previous refrigerator was whirlpool. 19 yrs old when it went out for a new whirlpool bottom freezer fridge, 2014 Jan. 14 months after purchase, no warranty. The temp in freezer and upper compartment would increase and stop making ice. At first, we thought it was the icemaker. Repairman NOT FACTORY TRAINED, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.. Came and looked at it said, yep, icemaker. Plugged it in after 4 days. Just like brand new - making ice, not the icemaker. About 4 days later same problem - temp increasing. Called the store where we purchased it, sent the same repairman. He said it was a cooling fan. This went on for 2 months trying to figure the problem. Well, we cant rebuild a refrigerator out of parts it doesnt need, so we called a FACTORY TRAINED TECH who diagnosed the thermostat and defroster in the bottom of fridge taking two screws out and pulling bottom freezer out. It was iced up. Cost to fix it - 522.00. So I called whirlpool corp., explained problem. They agreed to pay for parts if we paid labor, 100.00. This is doable. However, if we continue to have problems after this, we will purchase a top freezer fridge, no ice maker because they constantly break down.

In Feb. 2014 we moved into a new Condo and bought all new kitchen appliance
In Feb. 2014 we moved into a new Condo and bought all new kitchen appliances, MAKING one mistake, a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator, Model WRS322FDAM 01. It had to be ordered and was received by Lowes on March 10th. Letters from Whirlpool told me that their service warranty had ended as of 2/1/15 which predated our receipt of the fridge. It is a bit noisy with the ice maker, and when it fills up with water, you can hear it, and yes, the ice does fly a bit when you put it into your glass. The worst thing about this piece of junk, is how cheaply it is made. The materials used must have come from the rejected pile of parts. Its just my husband and I, no grandchildren/children and very little company. So, the fridge received average use and then within 6 months, one of the drawers cracked at the back. I tried to glue it back together myself because I was told that it was not a covered item??? My repair lasted a few months and then came apart entirely. When I removed the broken shelf I noticed something around the LED light on the liner in the back of the fridge. I pulled out the meat drawer and found a crack that began at the bottom of the light and had moved about 3 inches to the left, and another one that began at the right of the light and that was about 4 inches or so.Life intervened and when I looked again, the right side crack had split and deepened and it had now crossed over to the rounded edging connecting the back liner to the side liner. The left side crack had also moved further to the left, and is now approaching the side corner. I spoke with Whirlpool and they sent out a repair company who e-mailed a photo of the cracks to them from our home. The company response was that they would cover the crack with 482395 liner tape. - this was their idea of a repair.I then spoke with a Lowes representative who agreed to send another repair firm out. Well, they came today and when they spoke with Whirlpool, they were told to order an Epoxy kit (# 8212572) - this was their version of a repair. I spoke with a supervisor and told her that they were not repairing the liner, they were just placing a bandage on top of the crack. I compared it to owning a new car but having cracks in the dashboard. In this case the dealer would place tapes over the cracks instead of just replacing the dash. Neither response from Whirlpool was a repair. All they were doing was hiding their piece of garbage. She disagreed and would offer nothing further. I told her that I was going to bring this to the attention of any consumer group that I could, and might even see if a class action suit could be brought to bear as there were many other reports of cracked liners. We are totally disgusted with the product and its manufacturer. Whirlpool used to have a good reputation, but after this, it is now at the bottom of the garbage barrel.

I am writing due to the defects and flaws in my recently purchased appliances. I chose Whirlpool believing I was buying the highest quality for longevity purposes. Every appliance I own is Whirlpool or Maytag - same company. I purchased warranties and was told the warranties dont cover my issues and was basically brushed off. I am infuriated. Here is a list of complaints. Refrigerator is cracking on the inside on the inner door and at the bottom. These cracks surfaced within the first year of purchase. The warranty does not cover cracks in the inner body. The oven/range has an exhaust that bellows out of the top of the range in a way that the smoke curls up onto the panel and discolors it. I have never had an oven constructed with an exhaust pipe in the front that pours smoke onto the range itself and into your house. The dishwasher paint has rusted off on the door as have the screws on the inside of the door. The cover panel on the cleaning dispenser of the washer has popped off and cannot be popped back on, hence the guts of the dispenser are always visible and when I go to load the cleansers the front has to pulled out from inside the dispense. The refrigerator is also leaking from the bottom and the ice-maker no longer produces ice. This started off and on for the past 2 years. At first I thought the leak was from a near by window. No it is the refrigerator. All of these appliances were purchased in 2013, 14 and 15. New. I am 56. I have never had issues like this ever in my life growing up or as an adult. Appliances lasted forever. I am one person. How much damage could I do? None. These are flaws in chemical compounding of the paints and materials for cracks and rust. Whirlpool was called various times and was not interested in sending a rep to verify my claims. They said all of my warranties did not cover such issues only motors. Lots of many spent in vain. I will not purchase Whirlpool again as they seem disinterested in customer satisfaction.
