We ordered the Samsung microwave when we built our home. Money was tight so we found one of the least expensive microwaves. We have now been in our home 15 years and the Samsung is still working well, however, not as well as it did when it was new. I have noticed that I have to add time to heat. But for the price and look, when it does finally go out, I will look at purchasing another Samsung.

Do not EVER buy a Samsung appliance. I bought a refrigerator in April 2016. Within 5 months both ice makers quit working and a fan motor had to be replaced. 7 months later, the fan motor started making a loud noise again, so I bought the extended warranty. I called for service and was told that they would not come out for a loud noise (it was extremely loud). Finally, both ice makers quit working again and then the freezer quit working. I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get someone to come fix it. Each time they tell me that someone will call within 24 hours to schedule a visit. Nobody ever does. The 2 companies that they assigned it to refused to do the work. Now they are telling me that they have nobody in the area to do the work.Today I spent an hour on the phone being transferred to wrong departments. Then they started me all over again and tried to assign the work to the same 2 companies that refused to do the service. Im extremely frustrated and will NEVER, EVER, buy another Samsung product. TN has a lemon law, and when this refrigerator goes out again (because I know that it will), I will fight the battle to get my $$ back.

My dishwasher looks nice. It does a good job of cleaning but runs a long time. The size is good but seems very dark inside. We had a problem with it the first year and Samsung did fix it but a year later the same problem. They paid for the parts but we had to pay for the repair. This was the same problem that we had with it the first time. Wish I had bought another KitchenAid.

Within one year of purchasing the dishwasher, it failed. It failed again a month after the repair. Its now failed for the third time within 8 months of the second repair. Of course, now its out of its one year warranty. So, the same issue that has obviously never been properly repaired will cost me a minimum of $200 in Samsung labor to repair again! I will not spend good money after bad and repair it again. Its not even 2 years old!!! That $$ will go a long way in purchasing a new dishwasher without the Samsung name on it.

In approx May 2015 we purchased the Samsung RFF18HFENBSR French door refrig/bottom freezer from Home Depot. Our renovations got delayed so we did not start using it until August. I gave it one star because it looks and fits great but the following year (after the warranty was over) multiple things started happening. First no ice, then water in right crisper and water under both crispers freezing up. I went online and this has been a problem with Samsung refrigerators, many models, for years. I didnt call them because after researching they were not even returning calls to those that had warranties. All I can say to those shopping, absolutely do not purchase their refrigerators. This is a continuing problem. I have to call a repair guy but more annoying is it may possibly be a simple fix. There is a problem with the heating coil not keeping the water from freezing in a little hole. So their fix was a metal piece that doesnt quite reach the hole too short so it wasnt a fix after all. So water freezes in the hole, then no ice, water in right crisper and water under both crispers that freezes. It also creates frost in the freezer and food in the refrigerator freezing. But now I have to pay god knows how much money for a repair guy, empty everything out of my refrigerator again. Some repair guys are also saying you have to replace the thermostat piping or something like that. Dont buy this. I never do this but I have a refrigerator in my garage that is 12 years old and has never had a problem and Samsung although they were aware from previous models continued to just make it with the same problem knowing it still didnt fix it.

THIS FRIDGE IS NO GOOD. The ice maker freezes up and water puddle under the deli tray and that water freezes and I have to use an air dryer to blow in order for the tray to be release. The first time it happen I was still under warranty and so the tech replaced evaporator cover and moved the temperature sensor sideways (which he said is factory fault). The ice maker stopped working and the freezer is just cooling. It is not freezing. I have lost everything in the freezer again. Looking at other reviews they have the same problems with their Samsung fridge. I would never buy another Samsung product. My neighbor has the same problems. The HEAD of Samsung needs to read these reviews and compensate customers for their losses. The only thing that is good about the fridges are the appearance. This is not fair or right to poor people like myself to be repairing the fridge every time. My fridge is big and looks good on the outside, but it is a piece of crap. I would not encourage anyone to buy Samsung refrigerator because they freezes up and ice maker doesnt work.

My Samsung refrigerator (Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer) is less than a year old and the freezer stopped working this evening (12 Jun 2018). I am thoroughly convinced, after having read similar reviews published within the last few days and weeks, that the Samsung refrigerators were either immediately defective upon being manufactured or became defective while in transit. Though the product is currently under warranty, I do not look forward to having to deal with the retailer (Home Depot) and/or the manufacturer in order to repair it. I strongly advise the reader to not purchase a Samsung refrigerator.

Bought French Door refrigerator (RF263AEBP) in 2011 from Lowes. Bought the 4 year extended warranty. In September 2013 the fridge coil froze. Tech came out and replaced fan and shroud. Now 2014 it is freezing again. Search reveals it is a common and known problem by Samsung and they have not fixed even after class action in 2010. They have not come out with a permanent fix. They should do a recall. My extended warranty runs out next year a month before this will probably happen again.

I purchased a Sumsung dishwasher new and approx. 18 months later, it stopped working. The replacement parts and repair totaled only $115.00 less than I paid for the product new. The repairman said Samsung was NOT dependable, but they often stood behind their products and would pay for parts and/or repair especially since this machine was relatively new. I also heard that if I paid to have this repaired, that Id probably have to call repair in next few years again. Samsung refused to help pay for even the parts, so Im chucking it and buying a Bosch. I dont need bells and whistles, I just need a dishwasher that works.

First of all let me say every Samsung appliance that I have, stove; refrigerator; microwave is a piece of poopy. I cannot believe how bad these products are made. The microwave has failed twice, the refrigerator manufactured two years ago failed. Had to argue for weeks to get them to cover this repair, for about 2 months. Stove has a poor layout and pans do not fit on burners. Refrigerator has cheap parts that snap off, warp or do not close. DONT BUY SAMSUNG. THEIR PRODUCTS REALLY SUCK FOR THE AMERICAN MARKET. Made in Korea should not matter, but it does with this piece of poo company!!!

Updated on 05/20/2019: I have already sent a note about them. They sent a technician to fix my refrigerator and he couldn’t. He said he was not trained to repair this product. This was the fourth repair person that has been here to try and fix my refrigerator. None of them could fix it. The dates were 3/2/ 18, 3/16/18, 3/30/18, & 5/18/19. This person states he wasn’t trained to do this type of repair. I was supposed to get an email stating that the events of Sat., 5/18/19 were unsuccessful. From Samsung. No email. I called them and they wanted to send yet a fifth repair person. I feel they’re trying to run the warranty out. I asked them to replace the refrigerator. I also asked is it fraud when you attempt to sell parts to a consumer that they don’t need, in the amount of $349.18. The technician I hired said “I am glad you didn’t buy those parts because you don’t need any of them.Original Review: I have had two of these refrigerators and they both broke in a short period of time. The first one stopped cooling Christmas time, about six or seven months after purchase. I bought it from hhgregg, who was absolutely unprofessional and didn’t know their product. I finally called Samsung after hhgregg gave me the runaround for two months. Samsung said they would have replaced it because the compressor, which went bad has a 10 (ten) year warranty. Hhgregg dissolves my five (5) year warranty to replace the refrigerator. Samsung sent repair people when the second one stopped cooling last Jan. 2018 - it took until March and three different repair persons, and they tried to charge me $350.00 to fix it and it was under warranty, nor did they replace the food I lost, $80.00. I just paid a repair men and found out the part they wanted me to pay for wasn’t needed and my fridge is still under warranty.Theyve finally taken responsibility to do a repair after someone not associated with them told the truth. It’s been leaking Freon for over a year and may need to be replaced but, theyre going to try and fix it. I am so sorry I ever spent $2600 for this item. They absolutely need to go back to the assembly line, and they know it. I would advise anyone who’s looking for a refrigerator to shop for a product that’s made in the U.S.A.

We bought a refrigerator May 31 2011. The fridge made weird noises, kind of like an electrical surge. We had someone check it out because we didnt want a fire. We were told everything was fine. Sometime later, I started seeing water in my drawers and not thinking to much about it, cleaned it up. All the time wondering and curious where it could be coming from. My problem just spiraled out of control. One day I went to open my fridge drawer and was not able to open either one of them. They were frozen to the bottom of the frig, with at least 21/2 inches if SOLID ICE. I then had to take a chef knife and try to break the ice apart. It was unbelievable. I took some pictures because I couldnt believe it (Unfortunately, they were lost when my phone broke). I cleaned the mess up.This happened I couldnt tell you how many times. Or how much food had to be thrown out. Then I noticed the freezer was frosting up like one out of the 1970s. I had to unplug my fridge to clean out the freezer. Everything in it was covered with ice. More food ruined. Mind you, this is a frost-free freezer. Right. I have nothing but expense (food), aggravation, and no satisfaction at all. As of today 5/16/2014 my refrigerator is reading 57 degrees. I unplugged my fridge today, completely cleaned it out top to bottom. Threw out 2 garbage bags of food and thats where I am as of today. We paid right around 11010100 for this poor excuse for a fridge and not sure where to go from here. We will never buy another Samsung!!!

This French door fridge was bought 2 years ago. First 3 weeks the ice bucket was not properly closing. The ice keeps getting stuck inside thus it would not make any if this is not physically pried out. They replaced the bucket and it was fine. Last week the cooler compartment stopped cooling (loud noise for 3 days that goes away when you open the door then it comes back again once you close it). I woke up that morning. It was just not cold inside so I asked my sister to keep an eye on it (dont know what to think of it since I was rushing to go to work). By the time I came home the temp screen was blinking and my sister said it has been like that all day! I went online, tried to chat with the rep Rose and twice as she tries to give me the transaction number, she gets disconnected! Again, she was back after I went searching and gave me a link that wont open up! It was a technical difficulty she said? It seems like SAMSUNG has technical difficulties everywhere!!!Finally got a young lady on the phone. In short nobody can come until 4 days later so as it was the weekend and my fridge was stocked up with food. I rented another refrigerator from RAC Center. Paid $57.00 for 2 weeks rent in case... The technician came last Tuesday and we were told it was the fan, packed with ICE and that the SENSOR needed to be replaced. It will cost me $222.00 for the $13.56 sensor and the rest for labor fees!! I was told to call if I start to have food wastage but really thats not what I need! I need them to fix their act and by the reviews and complaints here, it seems that this has been going on with their refrigerators. SAMSUNG needs to pay back the customers who has to deal with this ridiculous product!!! I cannot afford a new refrigerator right now. And really, I had the GE one before this, the old conventional no-nonsense fridge that I gave to the men to haul away and boy, my husband blamed me for doing that. That GE had no issues for many years that we had it other than we just wanted a fridge with the ice maker/water dispenser!! Talk about wasting $1900.00 on a SAMSUNG crap!

We bought a Samsung SMH9187 in April 2011. It started to give intermittent (1/month) SE error and beeping around November 2011. We did not call for repair as the microwave still worked. The microwave completely stopped working in May 2012. We called Samsung to inquire about the error and learn whether there was any chance the warranty would cover it, since it began months before the warranty expired. They attempted to argue that the warranty was from date of manufacture (and thus ended in November 2011, thankful I had my receipt with date of purchase). We were informed that Samsung would pay for the replacement part but not the cost of installing it. Their authorized repair company would call us in 48 hours. We didnt hear anything from them for 5 days. We called Samsung and asked if we could have the part sent directly to us, no, this is against their policy. The authorized service company indicated a cost of $145 to replace the part. However, they cant do anything until Samsung Service includes more information in their service request to the authorized dealer.I contacted Samsung again and asked them to provide me with the part number that needs to be replaced. They gave me the phone number of their authorized parts dealer and told me that this dealer can provide me with the part number. The authorized parts dealer told me that they cant provide me with the part number over the phone. I need to go to their website (samsungparts.com) and look up my model # and use keyword control panel. Im told that the part I need costs $78.98 (she can tell me the price but not the part number?!)I still dont know the part number that Samsung was going to provide me for free, but the website has two parts called control panel for my model of microwave, one of which is $78.98. Luckily, the website does include the part numbers. I checked Sears Parts Direct and found the same part for $40.99. I ordered it, paid $11 shipping, and Im now hoping that the replacement process is relatively simple.I understand that things break, but, after my experience and seeing all the Samsung SE stories on the internet, Samsung products and service are terrible! Im beginning to think that Samsung is purposely making it difficult to learn about the meanings of the error codes and how to repair them, so that you use their service company or buy parts from their overpriced supplier.

I would give a zero but that’s not an option. This is the worst fridge Ive ever had. Every 2-4 weeks we have to unplug it and let the ice that freezes up, defrost. The first time it happened we didn’t know and the block of ice that built up in the back, broke the fan and we had to buy another fan. These should not be allowed to be sold to the public. Refrigerator was purchased on 2/20/12 at Best Buy. 22 months later it was not freezing or cooling. I contacted Best Buy and they informed me that I only had a 1-year warranty. I went home, pulled out my product information booklet and found that I also had a 5-year warranty on the sealed system (refrigeration system).I called Samsung on 12/20/2013. It is now 32 days later and my refrigerator is still not working. I have had 6 repair tickets, the first was cancelled by Samsung as they said my refrigerator was no longer under warranty. I reminded them of the 5-year warranty and stated that that seems to be the problem, the refrigeration system. The CSR said Well, it could be the computer! A repairman finally showed up on January 9, 2014, he walked in with parts in hand, Im not sure how he knew what to bring as no one had been to my house to look at the refrigerator. I think they assumed it was electronic as he replaced the mother board and I asked, So thats what was wrong? He responded Well, I cant tell by just looking at it but the compressor began working when I plugged the new one in. Then he said These sealed systems are so well made, they almost never go bad! Thus the assumption that its not the sealed system.Well 15 hours later (January 10, 2014 at 9 a.m.) refrigerator still not cooling and I called Samsung back. That was ticket #3, I am now on ticket #6 as #4 was cancelled on January 16th, something about after 7 days it has to be cancelled if nothing has happened with the ticket. Ticket #5, well the repairman they assigned this ticket to couldnt come for two weeks. At this point the CSR said, Let me see if I can request a replacement. I thought, now we are getting somewhere....only to find out 2 days later that this request could be denied and I would have to start all over with a new repair ticket. Also, if you request a replacement you get a pro-rated refund, not replacement value, the refrigerator is still under warranty if its the sealed system but they only offer you a pro-rated refund!Im not sure how Samsung can do this but they are apparently getting away with the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. 32 days and no refrigerator and medication that requires refrigeration. We have been living out of ice chests for 32 days and counting...

And steam drips down the tiled backsplash. The dishwasher is a whole other story. The young fellow brings it in and installs it. While testing it water flooded out the bottom of it. He tried several things but could not figure it out. He called his office and told them the problem and they said they would send out another dishwasher the next day. He then leaves. I go downstairs to get something from the freezer and there is water all over the floor at the bottom of the stairs. I call the store and he comes back. I asked him why he would leave when he knew there was a problem. He had forgot to connect something so he fixed it and returned the next day with another dishwasher. This is number 2... So he does all the connections and lo and behold, water comes spewing out the bottom again! He did try to conquer the problem but to no avail. He called and told the girl at the office about it and they said they would send out another one. This is all in the first week of us supposedly trying to enjoy moving into our new home. So a few days go by and along comes dishwasher number three with two fellows to install it. One does all the work while the other one just lolls around on my new engineered hardwood floor. I wanted to scream!! I was afraid by the time this was figured out I would have a whole lot of marks on the floor. They were here for over two hours and yet again it leaked. Really?? I called the appliance store and complained non-stop like a lunatic because of frustration and to get right down to it, anger. They suggested that I try to pick out a different line of dishwasher. I said I wanted the one that matched all the other appliances. Would they be willing to trade them all out? Well, of course not. So yet again along comes dishwasher number 4 with yet another installer. He installed it and did a quick test and yay! It didnt leak. The next day, water on the floor. In the meantime, I am back at work and have to arrange these visits with repairmen for before I start work at 4 in the afternoon. So, I call the appliance store and rant again. They make an appointment for me with one of the salespeople at a different location. We purchased from a large retailer on 149 Street, Edmonton. They sent us to the 47 Avenue one which is a fair distance from where we live. We went in and it seemed like the salesperson felt we were being unreasonable. I asked him if this kind of product and service would make him happy and would he like it if his time was taken up with this. Long and short, he tried to get us to change to another line and we said no. So he said he would give us $200 off. Big deal. But it was better than nothing. They said they had never had this kind of problem before, so we said lucky us, being the one off. So again back to a number of visits from a serviceman. We were told that maybe our water temperature was too high and this was causing a problem. The temperature of our water was lower than what it gets to on the sanitize cycle by 35 degrees so that seems to be a load of you know what. Then he said it was this part at the front of the dishwasher so he replaced that. Still leaking. I give up and just keep putting a dishtowel under it to catch the leaks and save the hardwood floor. Three years go by (not quite) and now besides the leak it stops draining on occasion and the OE light comes on. I call another repair place that services Samsung products. The guy comes out and says that he needs to replace a part so we do that. He sets up a test and promptly leaves. It hits the rinse cycle and water comes spewing out the bottom again but it did drain. Call them back and have to wait a couple of weeks and he comes out and did something to it and said if there were any problems to call them after Christmas because they would now be closed until after the New Year. Yay!! The third visit he comes out to repair it and now the stupid thing will not do anything. It will not fill even at the beginning to start the leaking process or the OE light to come on, just sits there. I do feel for him as he seems to be a very nice man but now he is waiting to hear back from the Samsung technical help desk to get back to him with some things to try. He tried to replace the circuit panel, but the new one did the same thing as the old. He got out some manual and tried to do some troubleshooting and nothing happened. He checked the pump but that was ok. He checked the overflow sensors and they were fine. Before he came out for the third time I ran it through five cycles. On the normal cycle it did what it was supposed to do and no leaking. Same with the Heavy cycle and Delicate. Did the Quick cycle and it leaked but it did empty. On the Pots and Pans the OE light came on and it did not drain and it leaked. After he tried all he could think to try on the last (third) visit it wont do anything but the lights do come on, just no action. I thought I could just go back to putting the towel on the floor and maybe have to try draining it manually or with some luck maybe it would work when I held down the drain button (sometimes it did and sometimes, no). So here we are with the mother of all dishwashers that looks nice but is totally useless. And I get the distinct pleasure of washing dishes. I dont mind doing that when I feel like it but not all the time because I have to. We will wait now to see if Samsung tech came up with anything for our poor repairman. If not we will ask for our money back on the repair that was useless and go buy a dishwasher from a reputable appliance store from reputable salesperson after doing a lot of research to find out what one would be the most... reputable and reliable. Because we know now for sure that it is not Samsung and we did not care for the service from the place we purchased from originally.

My parents took delivery of a Samsung fridge model RS267LBWP on Sept.13, 2007. It worked for 32 months and then had no cooling problem. This problem has now gone on for 26 months and 7 service calls (at considerable expense) to the Samsung authorized repair center. Their Customer Service experience has been dreadfully poor as they are unresponsive to what is really a lemon. I have tried to escalate to the Voice of the Customer Manager who referred me to the Office of the President (yes, OOP - spell it backwards and thats exactly what it means). Take this notice and warn people to never buy a Samsung product. They do a great job of marketing and advertising but youre on your own if the product ever has a problem. Sony and Apple lead the way in terms of customer service. I will stick by those brands and the excellent service that they have provided in the past.Just an addendum: A family member bought a 52 Samsung LED TV 3 years ago and now the TV is developing dead pixels in the middle of the screen. This is obviously a Samsung problem but they have no solution to the problem and wont offer one other than a new $800 screen. The end of story - buy a Samsung product if you want but dont say you werent warned of the major customer service deficiencies this company exhibits.

We bought Samsung everything! From 2013-2015 we bought a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer and none are now working. The refrigerator stopped making ice and when it was working we would have plastic pieces in our cup. After getting it repaired and paying the fees for them to come out and repair it 5 months later, the whole fridge doesnt work. It is no longer cooling or freezing anything and along with thousands of dollars down the drain for this refrigerator, hundreds of dollars on food is also gone.We also bought a stove and the oven is no longer working. We use it as storage. The washer we bought was no longer spinning the clothes. So we replaced it with another product. The dryer who knows when that will stop working. I thought Samsung was a great company and their products would last long, but this is the worst thing to be wrong about. Thousands and thousands of dollars down the drain. Now we have to buy new appliances. Their customer service is no help and unfortunately we didnt read any reviews. Will never buy a Samsung product again and I will definitely post on social media and tell everyone looking for appliances to not purchase their products either, what a shame.

Unless someone chose to make it right, which they wont, I would never buy a refrigerator ever again from Samsung. Absolutely, hands down, the worse decision I made. Spent nearly $2,000 and I would have been better off keeping my 20 year old Kenmore that ran very well but was outdated. Ive always used Samsung products, from TVs to phone, however this item rusted within a year (no, no harsh chemicals were ever used and water was quickly dried off). Fan motor went in 2 years. Fan motor was under warranty so no problem, however rusted doors were never covered as they were cosmetic. Samsungs products are purchased precisely for that reason - theyre beautiful. But trust me, they are garbage. Samsung didnt want to make it right - so no more TVs... I am an iPhone guy now... never again until they make it right.

Ok, this is a very honest review of an expensive Samsung Refrigerator, the purpose of this review is to ensure that people do not face the same harassment and cheat at the hands of Samsung and fault prodicts that we did. If you dont want to read the review, just know that never buy Samsung Refrigerators which are high end Models as they dont have the support team or the resources to sort out any problem, remember its more a warning to the discerning buyers rather than a review. So to cut the story short, we bought a Samsung french door refrigerator with Ice Maker in September 2017. Towards the end of 2018 the Ice maker stopped working and sadly after 7 complaints and paying almost close to INR 12000.00, we are still sitting with the same problem and no one now responds as they dont know what is the problem. We have knocked on all doors but to no avail and still no one bothers to understand the problem. Sir, we have escalated the problem to the highest level, is the standard response is basically inaction post that.Guys, the quality for a high end refrigerator is really bad, there are a number of recurring problems which are magnified by the fact Samsung has no support or product training for its field service personnel for high end models so please refrain. Hope this saves people from the agony we are facing after spending a fortune on a refrigerator!

I must let you all know that I contacted Samsung Corp. via email and complaint to them about the issue with my less than 2 years old Microwave and luckily, I got a response and apology within two days. They sent a company to pick up the microwave to get the control panel replaced at no cost to me. I am now waiting on my microwave to come back. Its only been a couple of days. They said it would take at least 7 days for them to get the part and bring it back. I am very happy with the way Samsung responded. They even called me back to make sure they picked up the microwave, not to mention all the follow-up emails. I really hope they fix it and it lasts. I suggest you all do the same! Good luck!

I purchased a 3 appliance package including a OTR (over the range) microwav
I purchased a 3 appliance package including a OTR (over the range) microwave from Pauls TV with Samsung being the manufacturer. First the microwave has a wobbly glass tray, it wobbles. Thats my problem because thats the way they are made. Then the microwave would just shut off if it was used more than about 7 minutes. Say, back to back, frozen dinners or heating up 25 minute casseroles. Called Pauls, had to talk to Samsung. Repairman comes out, orders a new circuit board. Comes back 2 weeks later and replaces board. In the middle of a big Christmas Party, microwave shuts off again. Then after 45 minutes, it turns itself back on. When I say shut off, all electric, including clock is off. I call again. Was told it had to be uninstalled to be looked at. So I pay someone to take it out. Repairman said I didnt have to do that. Then he called after and said yes, he ordered another part, so it had to be out to be fixed. That was Dec 29th. I have big New Years party, and have to heat food in cooking pans, but now I dont have a VENT, since it was in the microwave. Today I called Samsung and was transferred to Customer Relations because its January 16th, and the repairman has not shown up twice, yet Samsung keeps calling me to verify Ive called him? I want my money back so I can get something else. Oh, thats too bad. Cant do that. Samsung pays $85 per repair call, hes been here 3 times, plus parts, so far for a $230 microwave. Their policy is to continue to repair until the repairman says it cant be fixed. SWEET job this repairman has. Lucrative contract. I NEVER want to buy another SAMSUNG product again, NEVER. Ive done FOUR kitchen remodels, with all new appliances and never had an issue like this, nor worked with such a stupid company. GE replaced my French Door the 2nd time out because of faulty production. No issue Kitchenaid. No issue Bosch. No issue Fisher & Paykel. No extra warranty. Now I have to wait 2 days so Samsung can reschedule with the repairman.

Samsung 197ACRS Refrigerator - In March 2012 I purchased this counter width
Samsung 197ACRS Refrigerator - In March 2012 I purchased this counter width fridge from Leons in London. The refrigerators cooling system on the inside freezes up constantly and when it goes into the defrost cycle the water pools in the bottom of the refrigerator. During the year warranty with Samsung they came and defrosted the unit at least three times. I requested the unit be replaced but was not accommodated by Samsung. Thank goodness I took out an extended warranty. To date I have called at least 5 times for the unit to be repaired. One tech suggested if I had another refrigerator I could transfer my food into it and unplug the Samsung frig and defrost it. I have always had concerns as to how effective the unit is really keeping the food, and just recently I have noticed spoilage of food that should not have occurred. They are going to come look at it. I do not have a lot of money and paying $1,800.00 for a refrigerator was a major expenditure. Samsung refuses to do anything to rectify this situation and I understand that they have corrected this problem in their new units. I feel that I have been taken advantage of and I do not know where to go to resolve this issue.

Bought Samsung model DW80F600/AA dishwasher from Lowes for all the features
Bought Samsung model DW80F600/AA dishwasher from Lowes for all the features it had like quietness, stainless steel exterior/interior and food grinding capabilities. All was good until it suddenly started leaving dirt on dishes. After trying a few different dish washer detergents, decided to call in for repairs. Could not get a technician immediately so had to wait about a week. The technician eventually came and I must say he was really on time. He took a look and decided it was a return valve that needed to be replaced. However, he did not have it and it had to be ordered. The actual part was a small rubber valve that costs under $2. How it would not be in his van really beggars belief. So he ordered the part and had to come again after two weeks to allow for the part to arrive (was shipped by UPS ground!).Second time round, technician was not as much on time as the previous time but in fairness, called in early to say he would be late. So I have no fault with that. He called again when he was about 10 minutes away so I met him at my property. He quickly replaced the valve and ran a quick test. All seemed fine. And now the big disappointment! After just a couple of days, the dishwasher started behaving the same way as previously. I thought, if the original diagnosis was correct, then the return valve must have gone again. I looked at the return valve and it looks like a part that can easily fault so obviously Samsung never gave it some real thought. And now that they know it bends so easily, why dont their technicians carry it in their vans and as a result have to make two trips to carry out a repair? So, continuing with the dishwasher saga, technician called in again. As usual, the first visit is without parts but I still have to wait in the house for either a morning or afternoon appointment. This time decided he needed to replace two more parts (a sensor and a drain pump). As before, had to wait for the parts to ship by UPS to my house. Another appointment in 2 weeks to allow for the parts to be delivered.Fourth time, they sent a different technician. Spent about a couple of hours replacing the parts. Said all was well and left. Hardly a day went by and the same error code resurfaced. All this time, I had been calling the number that was provided by Lowes to schedule service. But this time, I decided I would call Samsung customer service direct. Did so and told them I have already had 4 technician visits. They said they do not have any record of it! They set me up with a new technician to come in and take a look. First appointment was on a Thursday but they cancelled it a day before saying the parts will not have been available. So they set it up for the Friday following the Thursday. Technician came, opened the dishwasher bottom piece, asked for a paper towel, wiped away some water from the sensor that was replaced previously then put it back. Ran a short cycle and it would not drain. He then concluded that it was not working as expected because I had a food disposal unit on the sink. Told me that their appliances should not be connected to the same plumbing as the food disposal so advised that I get a plumber to modify the plumbing. Was fed up at this stage. How on earth do they make appliances that will not work if there is a food disposal attached knowing very well that almost every modern American home has a food disposal unit under the sink????Looked up the user manuals. Found no evidence of mention of food disposal units so decided I was being taken for a ride. Called Samsung customer service again and they told me all they can do is send a technician again to get a second opinion. Told them I already had 5 visits. They told me they only have evidence of one. Asked to speak to a supervisor. None was available so set up an appointment for a supervisor call back. Supervisor called back within about an hour and said the best she could do was send a technician out again. Bad news is I have to wait another 8 days as there is nothing available sooner. So now waiting for the sixth visit and possibly a 7th, because I am pretty sure the technician will not be carrying any parts.I have never been so disappointed by an appliance before. Should have carried out more research before I landed on a Samsung. My older dishwasher was doing a much better job and I wish I had kept it. Dont lose your money buying this appliance!! Samsung should either get their act together or stick to things they do well in such as phones and televisions. They should stay out of the appliance business for now!

In November of this year I bought a Samsung fridge side-by-side with the bottom drawer and noticed three months later that the fridge drawer was discolouring, you’re not the same colour of the stainless steel as the rest of the fridge. I called them to complain and get this fixed and they said this was a cosmetic issue and it’s not covered. All this is dealing with them is a way of them playing with words and not fulfilling their responsibilities with warranty, anything but helping a customer as what I got this is definitely not cosmetic, it is a manufactures defect but they don’t use those words. Buyer beware. I will never buy Samsung products again and neither will my family members.

We purchased the Samsung from hhgregg in Appleton WI as we were remodeling
We purchased the Samsung from hhgregg in Appleton WI as we were remodeling our kitchen and the refrigerator # rf260beaesr has not worked from the start. For making ice, we have called hhgregg. We had the extended warranty and they told us its not their problem. We have to work through Samsung so we have called and on 5 different occasions received inaccurate information and the tech line of Samsung the repairman came out and thought we had a used refrigerator or malware refrigerator from the assembly factory as the cables were not connected and the coil for making ice was defective. He replaced it nicely. That piece of coil lasted one day and again we called the tech line and the repairman came replacement of something else and reset the refrigerator and when we came back from our 14 day vacation it stunk in the house and lo and below - all the food in the freezer spoiled. Over 250.00 of meat. We called them up and they said to call hhgreg and we did that and hhgreg said they have nothing to do with the Samsung as Samsung is the product and this is their problem. Now this is getting old. Since June we have been getting replacement parts and no wear as the freezer still is not working and either is the temperatures in the refrigerator and no one is taking responsibility in replacement. They said Samsung that is, that hhgregg will be calling you and replacing a refrigerator. No no not a call received. We have called and wrote everyone name down the phone and email and faxes that they told us to go through for Samsung and guess what? Nothing is done. Now all we want is our money back, plus the food lost, and we will not buy a Samsung product ever. Example - look at the Samsung phones are blowing up. We have done everything Samsung told us to do and as of 9/16/16 we are no further ahead. CIVIL suit - contact news and will expose both retailer hhgregg and Samsung for running false advertising and product reliability and the other thing is hhgregg in Appleton and Green Bay is going out of business. Everyone got our money but we end up being the loser. Where is the justice in customer service? Where is the responsibility for a product accountability? The refrigerator is not even a yr old rf260beaesr and I have a 5yr psp bf refrigerator warranty which I was charged 349.99. Plus the refrigerator of 1600.00. Where does this sit with me? FZ coils frozen up, defrost freezer. Heaters did not work. Def defrost control replaced, installed new main board and evaporator fa defrost sensor ordered. Need sensor, connected sensor e21 evap fan reconnect on 7-1 16. Next visit 7-18-16 reg def holder defrost thermostat no voltage to heater from board evap fan not running. 8/26 repairman another sensor ordered power freeze and another visit from technical difficulties. No one knows what the hell they are doing in Samsung and they dont care period. They think they can run a person ragged down so that the customer will quit & they dont have to deal with getting us our money back. They dont even know who their CEO. We asked - how much does this tell you they care or know about the Samsung equipment service? So, how do we get our money back so we can buy a refrigerator other than a Samsung? Maybe Electrolux or Maytag. Going locally I can at least get service and honesty and a replacement instead of the run about from retail stores like hhgregg who is going out of business 9/30/16 and Samsung who wont replace or give your moneys back from the purchase. Does anyone hear me out there? We faxed everything to 973 529 0543, tried 3 times would not accept faxes. Obtained a new fax # to 864 751 2882 on 9/17/16. We are calling hhgregg daily and Samsung daily to get a refrigerator. We are the customer and deserve better care than what we have gotten which was passing the buck blaming the other guy. Get some balls Samsung and take care of the customer - stand behind your name. As for hhgregg going bankrupt out of business says it all. They probably took the money and ran. Almost sounds like this with Samsung is trying to do as well. Just replace the ref or give the customer their money back. We were the trusting people in your name and now we have no trust in that name and you Samsung did not stand behind and take responsibility. Shame on you Samsung. Someday youll be a customer to someone else and lets see how that goes. You all will be exposed for what you are eventually.

On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buys Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem. It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.

Bought a new samsung side by side new at Lowes. It is 11 months old and still under warranty and extended warranty. Started making ticking noise like the fan is hitting against something 3 months ago. Samsungs response is that it is overloaded/over packed and I should unload and defrost. This works for a couple of weeks, then it is the same. I do not load this any more full than my previous Whirlpool side by side or GE before that. Neither previous unit quit working, just moved to larger unit and this time to a stainless. Went with Samsung because it was on sale for same price as Whirlpool but I got a Energy star rebate because of its energy efficiency. If I had read reviews first I would not have bought it. Now I read that Samsung is exiting the American market because we expect them to last too long. A counterpart at work had same issue with identical unit he bought 3 months earlier at Best Buy. He had to threaten Best Buy with legal action before they finally replaced it with more expensive unit (he paid difference). I will never again buy a Samsung product. I will call Lowes tonight and they have always backed their products well for me.

Showed an LC fault (which means water leak but there was no leak), quit working, had to unplug because of horrible noise. So far the local licensed service has replaced the motor and pump. Same LC after one load of dishes. Service came and replaced two circuit boards. Made it through 2 loads of dishes and LC. I called the service again to see if the entire unit could be replaced, no, they have to come and try again.

Samsung’s idea of customer service is “3 – 5 business days and someone will call you”. At this point we have been without a functioning refrigerator (I consider a refrigerator to be a basic need in this day and age) for 14 days! The specifics are below: A service tech was sent to ‘fix’ the problem one week after we first reported the problems to Samsung. The fix/part replacement (2 different parts were tried) did not correct the problem. The Tech talked with Samsung’s technical support from our home and said, My office will call you on Monday (9 days after the report to Samsung). On Wednesday (11 days after the report to Samsung) the same tech is back with a 3rd different part. Still not the answer. At this point, it is determined that we need a whole new refrigerator (current unit is only 6 months old). The Tech entered a ticket into the system AND once again it is 3 – 5 days before someone will call us. Not, 3 – 5 days and you will have a new refrigerator – NO, 3 – 5 days and someone will talk with you about what can be done. Now it has been exactly 14 days since our Samsung refrigerator has worked. Still we have not received a call from anyone from Samsung regarding the solution to our problem. This was my first Samsung refrigerator; it will be my last.

Dependable and works as expected. Good quality for the money. Great appliance appearance. Makes your kitchen eye appealing. My previous neighbor bought a Samsung refrigerator and ten years later its still running as it did from day one. I am planning to replace my old Rival with a new Samsung. I purchased a whole suite of Samsung products less than 2 years ago. The washing machine has a slow leak, the oven works ok, however the fridge is a nightmare. Dont expect the ice maker to last more than a year. Also the freezer gets pretty heavy when loaded and the handle is held on by a flimsy piece of plastic. Ours broke after a year and a half and we were told that it is way out of warranty. I kind of expected a handle to last more than 19 months. On top of that there is no easy fix. It isnt just replacing the handle. Its all of the mechanics in the door, they actually told me via chat that this is not something you can fix. It needs a service call from a licensed Samsung repair shop. So hundreds of dollars just to fix my door handle. Upon searching this issue there are hundreds of people with this problem. Samsung has great electronics but I will never buy another Samsung appliance, theres a reason they are generally cheaper than the rest.

I purchased the Samsung refrigerator from Sears 1/5/2012. It was a very costly purchase - $2500.00. Shortly after I had it, the ice maker didnt freeze/chill well. That issue was addressed. Then the ice maker didnt give an adequate supply of ice. Apparently, the computer screen/mechanics that controls that was replaced by Samsung. The repairman stated it would need replacing again because the set was all wrong. The ice is not making ice again. It was replaced April 27, 2013.The make-up of the dispensing controls appears to be set up for failure from the beginning. The ice and water are sort of piggybacked to each other and something within this or the computerized screen will not allow them both to work. I have contacted Samsung and they have not attempted to reach out to me to resolve this problem with their product.

My wife and I bought a Samsung RT5000K Top Freezer Twin Cooling Plus™, 350 L refrigerator for Courts Jamaica Limited. The first month the front plastic on the tray under the freezer compartment split down the middle while it was being wiped off. It was as if it had dry rotted. In the first three months the door started to bubble and this is the one that has the stainless steel look. They replaced the skin after a lot of complaining and then the door would hardly close by itself when they were done and they left all the plastic on.Now the rubbers are starting to crack on the door and we have not had the thing a year yet. The door is making a creaking sound once in a while when you open it and the refrigerator from day one has been making weird sounds. It also runs very hot and for an inverter type, the electric bill has not gone down at all. Have been trying to find the year of manufacture and cant seem to get any answers. I believe it was in storage a long time before being sold. Very disappointed and would never buy one again. Will continue to take to social media to get some answers. I had the issues with my fridge in Jamaica and I was able to get support sending an email to **.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator Model RF217ACPN in July 2012 at Best Buy from the Boston/Fenway location (now closed). Two years into owning it the temperature went up to 70 degrees and there was water in the bottom drawers. I did some googling about it and learned that the radiator in the back over cools, then builds up with ice preventing it from cooling, then when it finally melts the water ends up in the bottom fruit and vegetable trays. After two weeks of calling them begging them to see it is a faulty and defective product they gave me a one time service for free and guaranteed it would be solved. 4 months later, same exact problem... water in the drawers and 70 degrees. After calling this time explaining it was never really fixed in the first place, Samsung gave me two options, 1) repair it using their service center (a $400-600 charge) or 2) repair it using their extended protection plan (a $388 fee with service for a year). I dont want it fixed. I want my money back or have it replaced with a fridge that works. What a terrible product... I had my previous fridge for 30 years! This one cant even make it past the three-year mark. Samsung is fraudulent and taking advantage of people. I will never buy anything from them after this experience. What a terrible company, and terrible customer service.

Three years ago we purchased brand new Samsung appliances for our remodeled kitchen. BIG MISTAKE! Within 2 1/2 years both ice makers in the refrigerator (model RF323TEDDBSR) stopped working. After 3 repair visits and a 6 week wait for parts to arrive, we paid nearly $400 to have the bottom freezer repaired. It would cost several hundred dollars more to repair the top freezer so we declined to do this. Today, our Samsung electric range (model NE59J7850) overheated and broke. We are going tomorrow to purchase a new range and it WILL NOT BE A SAMSUNG! We will never purchase any Samsung products again.

Its only my husband and I at home... we use it once every 2-3 days. After 2.5 years we start noticing food left on the dishes. A week later, its not even spraying dishes. Turns out its the motor. I bought fridge, dishwasher, microwave, range, and a washer/dryer for a new house, did my research and thought I was buying the best available. First, within 1 month, the dishwasher went. I made more calls to Samsung than loads of dishes in the unit. The problems ranged from simply not turning on to the motor completely seizing. Apparently there are plastic pieces that break off the wheels and racks and end up lodged in the motor, therefore seizing the motor. This brand new dishwasher has been completely rebuilt. I had the repairman out to house on that unit >6 times. Second, the microwave keypad went within the first six-months, repaired with no problem, but now it’s broken again, and its the same issue. An over the range microwave that cannot handle the steam that rises from the stove top and shorts out the keyboard. Great design flaw and one would think they would fix it, replace the unit, recall it - nope. Its out of warranty and, they wont fix it and more importantly, the part is no longer available (being made - read lemon) so I cannot even fix it myself. Third, the gas dryer ignition went - fix it myself. Finally, the fourth the fridge, (sigh)... I absolutely loved this fridge, loved, past tense. Two years after purchasing, the Main control panel and 2 sensors went on the unit. TWO YEARS. So I called Samsung, and to be honest, the customer service is less than stellar. I was told that it was no longer under warranty, and they would not fix or even consider fixing it due to its age. I was quite polite and asked if I could speak with managers, blah, blah, blah. I eventually made my way up to executive customer service, who knew, and it was there that I was told that if even if they wanted to, they could not fix my unit because Samsung stopped making the MCP. So there were no parts to fix it. I was so adamant about Samsung making good on this fridge. I went without a fridge for 6 weeks while I dealt with them. I tried to negotiate a refund, or some sort of credit, a replacement unit, to no avail. I believe that they should have offered me a replacement unit due to the fact that the unit could not be repaired. I repeat, the fridge was 2 YEARS old. For goodness sakes, my grandmother had her fridge for 30 years. The way I see it, they stopped making the MCP because of the on-going problems with the unit. Basically it was another lemon. So yeah, so sorry for your luck but thanks for your 2 grand, go buy another fridge... and thats what I did. I will never, NEVER recommend or buy another Samsung product.

After two hours the refrigerator is back to 38 degrees. Freezer is still 52 degrees. I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher from Best Buy, when I had the unit installed I discovered that the kick plate was missing. I called Samsung and requested that they send me the missing part. They took all of the information and gave me instruction on how to send the receipt which I did. After a few days a representative called saying they needed more information. I asked what information they needed and they said they needed the Serial Number and Model Number. When I explained that I already gave them this information the representative put me on a long hold and came back and said not to worry they had everything they needed and that my missing part would be shipped in 7-10 days. Several days later I received an email from Samsung asking for me to upload my receipt to them (which I had already done a few weeks ago). I resent the receipt and then a few days later received another call saying that since the item was purchased as an open box item that they would not provide me with the missing part. Bottom line is that the customer service is very disorganized and inefficient. When I ask them to consider supporting their product and to make an exception to provide me with the part that was missing when delivered to me they refused. Very disappointing experience from Samsungs customer support people.

I called for repairs and was forwarded to some service agent who never called. This occurred on two occasions. On my third call, I was sent to another service company who wanted $175 to replace the ice maker. Needless to say, the warranty had run out by this time, and Samsung refused to warranty the product, even though I was in contact with them within the 1 year warranty period. We purchased the door-in-door, Samsung, side by side refrigerator in November 2016, from Best Buy. We are extremely happy with the larger refrigerator with easy access to beverages. However, the ice maker and water dispenser are the worst. Not only is the ice maker very loud but it ices up and needs to be removed and cleaned out constantly. Also, there isnt any easy access to the ice from inside the door when you need large amounts of ice without taking the unit out. Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Our $2323.95 Samsung refrigerator (RFG297HD) was purchased less than 3 years ago. We were under the impression (albeit falsely so) that Samsung products were superior in quality, and that this company stood behind the integrity of its products. NOT!!! We have already had to replace the ice maker and the freezer fan assembly. After speaking to three different phone operators (all of which represented a series of going-through-the-proverbial-policy-motions), I finally was put into the ECR department in hopes of speaking to someone, who had not already been thoroughly programmed into the mechanical answers representing Samsung androidism. Suffice it to say, I hit wall, after wall, after wall after Wall. The only so-to-speak courtesy I was offered was to spend some additional money to buy into another year of protection. Really? I am sorry, but when I spend this kind of money for a product, I expect quality performance for a little longer than two years before it start breaking down, leading me to dig into my pocketbook again. Moreover, to spend additional money for extended warranties on products (i.e. Samsung products) highly suggests that Samsung does not want to be held responsible for its own technical errors or designed failures.

Two years ago we remodeled our kitchen. The new Samsung over the stove microwave matches the new Samsung stove and has some nice features and I do like it, but it is starting to make a grinding noise. It seems to have caught something from its big brother, the stove. This stove has all the bells & whistles..Looks like a cooks delight... Thats a disguise. The stove really sucks. It cooks everything to hot and the smooth top is a ** to clean compared to my old Whirlpool smooth top. The top burners on the Samsung take eons to come up, and when they do it mimics Kilauea. It will not do a simmer but slow boils. I end up cooking everything on the small burner rings, including big pots. I had to drop the oven temperature down 25 degrees to get the right results. I called the Samsung repair service. The guy told me there is nothing wrong with the stove. He must be a Democrat.Recently, when I use the oven, the convection fan started making noise... It is now making a racket. I checked with an appliance guy and he said that he has seen Samsung stove fans junk out before and eventually seize on a regular basis... the cost to replace the fan assembly would be about $300-$375 bucks. I went on the Internet and found videos on how-to replace the fan. I found an appliance parts website. My husband looked at the YouTube videos and is going to fix the stove himself. Never a Samsung product again. I understand their TVs are not very good either.

The same day I went to open the door and it came crashing down on the floor!! Thankfully my 3 year old son and my little dog were not around and no one was hurt. Upon inspection the upper right door hinge broke that anchors the door. I think its a horrible design flaw in the part. Although the door hinge plate is metal the male end of the hinge is plastic! That part is what failed. The fall did cause one of the removable door shelves to crack. We bought a Samsung RF261BEAEBC refrigerator in February of 2013. In early November of 2013 the water dispenser cover broke. I was directed to Samsungs customer service number by the retailer and was told by Samsung that the warranty was from the date of manufacture and not from the consumer purchase date. I was floored and asked to talk to a supervisor. After being on the phone for over 45 minutes, they finally agreed to send a technician to replace the part (it snaps on and off - they could have just put one in the mail).

This is accurate and fair. Here it goes. I purchased this refrigerator in 2014 from the Home Depot. I also purchased the 5 yr extended warranty (just in case). It all began with them delivering the wrong unit and it also had a hole in the back from a forklift. The delivery company left it in my driveway and drove off and in the process, ran into and wrecked my neighbors picket fence and would not share insurance information for replacement. Yes. HD sent two young men to pick up the fridge without a lift on the back so all of us had to heft this into a high bed truck to remove it. Ended up renting a truck and picking up and installing the new one ourselves. So I have had this refrigerator for 10 months and it stopped cooling in the fridge and the freezer. I want to add that the vegetable storage units do not keep the vegetables for long at all. They go bad after a couple of days. Back to the technicians, 3, yes 3 hours on the computer chat with a (3) tech(s) from Samsung to reset the OFF reading on the digital display. After 3 hours of attempting to reset and do all the bells and whistles to reset, the tech(s) then tell me that the panel is bad and needs a technician to go to the home location and repair it. They said to call Samsung to create a ticket. Ok, also called Asurion who has the warranty. They said they would create a ticket and send me a food loss form. Sent food loss form and then Im told that a reimbursement will not be issued until after the repair? I then call Samsung who tells me that there should be a repair person by Wednesday or Thursday (it is Saturday) and they would create a ticket. Then I called the Home Depot who tells me that if the issue was not solved by Wednesday or Thursday they would send me a check for the fridge or a new one? WTH? Its now Thursday (6 days after fridge quits) and no one knows about the problem or any ticket issued. I snapped. We then start all over. I am then told that it is a simple fix and I would have to pay for the repair? NO, NO, NO. I am then sent to the secondary customer person who then creates ANOTHER repair ticket and tell me that the repair person will call me in about 48 hours or so and cannot even conceivably come until next Tuesday or Wednesday. No we are into 11 days of this issue. So, this Samsung refrigerator has NO repair people in this area and yet they are continuously sold. Now what? I paid over $2,200 (on sale) for this absolute piece of mechanical scrap with the worst customer service ever. NEVER, and I mean NEVER purchase this refrigerator or any Samsung refrigerator, NEVER. Repeat that to yourself.

Ive been so disappointed since I bought my Refrigerator at Lowes in 2011, paid over $1,000 and have had it serviced so many times. The ice bucket cracked, then the ice maker broke, it had a water leak. They had to remove the panel. It was FROZEN. Now, called again because I dont know if its the fan or motor, I hope my food doesnt go bad. Im upset because of all the problems I continue to have and have to get another service contract just so I can keep it as long as I can. The first refrigerator I had lasted 10 years and I didnt have as many service calls as I do with this Samsung. I dont think I will be buying another Samsung refrigerator again. Too many problems!!

David in Ohio, I had the same exact situation occur with my microwave. It was made in Feb of 2010. But I did not take possession of it until Sept of 2010. I was storing a freshly made chocolate cake in the microwave when I came home from work to smell a horrible odor of something burnt in my home. I freaked out and began searching for the cause. It wasnt until later that I noticed the code for a short on my microwave. I unplugged it and cleaned the horrible mess out of it. Then I re-plugged it in and reset the clock and tried to warm up a cup of water. Everything worked fine. So I thought, ok, that was weird, how did it turn on by itself? Then as I was going about other business, I heard the microwave turn on.... When I got to it the message screen said it was cooking in Baked Potato mode. Now that was crazy! So I have been without use of my microwave for a few days. I began looking online for any recalls. I did find a similar issue recalled back in early part of the 2000 decade. But nothing recently. Then I saw Davids post. My situation almost EXACTLY!!!! I did also post a complaint on Samsung Supports Facebook page. They replied with a link for me to go to and complete with info for them to get back in contact with me. We will see. I hope this company will stand up and make good on some type of faulty problem with their product. I would hate to have to buy another brand. I already have a Samsung range and was looking at replacing my current Kenmore dishwasher with a Samsung. All depends on how they handle this situation. Obviously it is a mfgs defect. Not caused by anything I did.

I have owned a Samsung side by side refrigerator (model rsg257aars) for about three years. About one month ago, I started noticing that water was coming out of the water dispenser in significant volume intermittently. The amount of water has been enough to flood my kitchen floor on multiple occasions. I know the water is coming from the dispenser as I placed a solo cup under the dispenser which has been filled each time after a flood. I have also seen the process start myself. The flow only stops when I push the water dispensing pad much like if I was filling a cup of water. I have called three different repairmen including the Samsung authorized repair personnel who have not been able to fix the problem. I have paid more than $400 at this point. In reading lots of these Samsung issues, I suspect that part of the problems is due to the electrical boards being defective causing a multitude of the matters noted in this forum.

I have never written a review before - I dont usually care that much and I dont usually have time. I have spent an hour trying to reach a rep on the phone to schedule a repair. This is my second Samsung fridge, in 5 years and its broken now just like the last one after 2.5 years. No appliance repair shop wants to come look at it. They all say they arent built well. How the hell can a company keep selling appliances that are poorly designed and break? What a joke.

I usually never write online reviews but I feel compelled to warn anyone I can about Samsung and the junk appliances it produces. Ive had numerous experiences with Samsung Refrigerators, Dishwashers, etc. For one thing....their refrigerators have a known design defect which causes the evaporator coils to build up ice on them. Usually after approximately one year (after the warranty runs out) you will start hearing loud clicking/grinding noises from your freezer. This is the fan hitting the ice building up around the coils. You will then be forced to defrost the piece of junk with a hair dryer or just shut it off for 24 hours to defrost it. Samsung has known about this for years, yet it continues to produce junk appliances and will not stand behind them.

We bought the model # DMT400RHW about 4 years ago. It has no buttons on the front. Just touch sensitive ones on top. Anyways we were so excited to have this dishwasher, I have two little kids (4 & 2) and they wouldnt be able to get into it, etc... However, my family and kids started getting sick a lot more than normal. I took my kids to a homeopathic doctor and discovered my son has an extreme issue with mold and allergies. He was allergic to penicillin, etc... Well, we also noticed the dishwasher didnt smell quite right after using it and couldnt figure out what the deal was. It looked clean inside. I bought dishwasher cleaners and ran those through it. It still smelled. Everyone kept asking us if we had mold in our house that might be making us sick. I scoured the house and could find nothing. Then, I was emptying the dishwasher a couple weeks ago and noticed that there was a bit of black stuff at the bottom of the front door coming out from under the seal. I got a paper towel and when I ran it under the seal and it came away black with mold and smelled like vomit. All this time Ive been washing dishes with that junk! No wonder my family has been so sick! I called the company customer service and they said theyve never had this problem with any of their models ever. I find that hard to believe! My husband says its a faulty design. I agree. If the seal was flush to the door no food and water could get trapped under it. Samsung said I just need to keep cleaning it with vinegar or bleach. Im sorry, but Ive never had to wipe out a dishwasher after every time I use it and I think thats ridiculous! I also dont like the fact that I cannot just do a rinse and dry cycle on this. You have to run it through fully every time. Needless to say we will not ever buy another Samsung again. Their customer service was terrible, even when I talked to a manager. Im over it already and now Im stuck with this faulty dishwasher.:(

I bought my Samsung fridge when I moved into my new house. My wishful thinking was soon becoming a nightmare. The plastic door for the bottom drawer broke twice and the electronics control panel failed twice as well. The fridge is now waiting for repair. I dont believe that Samsung really wishes this product to last long so it fails so often that force the consumers to buy a new one. I will buy a new fridge soon but not from Samsung.
