We received our range and it was installed in our home. Everything worked fine for a day. Then, the oven stopped working. We called for a service technician to come out. They came out, did some adjustments, and nothing worked. He couldnt get it to fix so he said that we got to order new parts. I told him that it is a brand-new range and I asked why we need to order brand-new parts. So, it arrived faultily. The parts were back-ordered for probably a month. We spoke to our regional representative, trying to figure out what the holdup was. Of course, it was blamed on COVID and I understood that. Then the parts came and the service technician installed them. Everything was working when he was here. He left that evening. I went to make dinner and put a chicken in. An hour later, the oven was lukewarm. It didnt maintain its flame. The next morning, before I called them, I thought to see what was going on. It would go through its clicking cycle to ignite. It’s a liquid propane system. And we ordered the correct range. That morning, it went through its cooking cycle like it always does and didnt light. We tried it again and then a fireball came out the bottom of it. I called the technician and told them what happened. I also called our regional representative and told her what happened. The technician was busy and couldnt come out ‘til the next week. Then he came back out and looked at it. He called the Viking service line and went through all of the suggestions that they made. He could get the small oven to light, but could not get the bigger side to light, and now has ordered another part. I think its the igniter or something like that is not working. I just got a phone call this morning that were on the schedule two weeks from now to get it repaired. Right now, I’m not very happy. We can use the top, but we cant do anything in the oven. Its pretty frustrating, especially since this is supposed to be top-of-the-line. So, basically, we have a brand-new piece of metal sitting in our kitchen that we cant use to its full extent. The most frustrating thing is were not getting any discount or benefit. We tell our representatives whats going on. We even said that we wanted another one because what if something happens to this one again? I dont know why that wasnt offered, again, ‘cause its a brand-new thing and its faulty when it arrived. I understand its a big piece. Its not like something that I brought home in a bag. It involved shipping and people installing it. But were kind of stuck as a consumer. Our technician is great. Theyre highly recommended. It’s no fault of them. Its the product and these arent cheap. Essentially this thing is the price of a car.

I had a Viking for a dozen years, and I wanted to fill the space where it came out, so I got another Viking refrigerator that is about the same model to fit back into the built-in site. The people at the Viking dealer were very professional and knowledgeable. My experience of getting a new one, getting it put in, and getting it working was about as painless as it could have been given that the people who came out to do it have to come up to a condominium setting in downtown San Francisco which is not trivial. This particular Viking fits my needs because of the space I have to put in. I like its size and how it looks. Its a good size refrigerator, its narrow, and the width of it is 24 inches out so it doesnt stick out in the room. It does a good job. The first one should have lasted longer than it did. I had three major repairs in the last three years of it. I hope this next one would last longer.

I built a $163,000 kitchen and Viking is the least expensive product I have in this kitchen and absolutely the worst. The refrigerator Ive had since March still doesnt work. Everything went into the garage until it got its turn into the kitchen. A couple of weeks into it, every time I open it up, everything in the front seemed warm. I finally put an analog thermometer in there and it was reading 50 degrees. Overnight, it would cool down to about 45 and anything above 40 is spoilage.I called Best Buy and they gave me Vikings number because I didnt purchase their three-year warranty. It already had a warranty on it and I didnt think I needed it. I called Viking and they gave me the number to Lakeview who had an Illinois number. Two days later, I still cant get in touch with Lakeview so, I called Viking again and they got on the phone with them. Lakeview called me back and set up an appointment. They got here three or four days later and looked at it. Theyre in my house for an hour and determined that this piece has a faulty seal that was supposed to be replaced per Viking. They said it will be in a few weeks but a month went by and they didnt have the part. Finally, the piece comes in five weeks after this initial problem. I called Lakeview and told them their piece is here and for them to come put it in. They came in the next day and it was an Electrolux. It doesnt have anything to do with the refrigerator that I have and its the wrong part. This tech is on the line for an hour and a half with Viking and determined that my refrigerator doesnt need this kit after all. Its some thermostat, little plug-in thing and he said they have that in stock and it will be here in a week. A week goes by and I called Viking because I could never get in touch with Lakeview. They said that since they have so many problems, theyd like to offer me $150 and exchange my warranty for six months. I asked how they would do that and they said theyll get back to me but two days and there was nothing.I called Viking again and asked for the part and they said Lakeview decided to order a bunch of parts for a bunch of other customers in the same group as mine. Some of those parts are in and my part thats in stock is lumped up with a bunch of others that have broken Vikings. They finally decided to separate the shipment and in theory, the part was shipped to Lakeview but I still have not heard from anybody. Also, I asked about the $150 and the six-month warranty and they said I didnt send them a receipt. Nobody told me that and I was very clear that I spent $1,000 to purchase a refrigerator and shove it into the garage so I can have a refrigerator in Dallas, Texas, at 102 degrees. But Im going to get this part installed and I dont care about the $150 because they want me to prove that I bought a refrigerator. Instead of just offering something and giving it to me, they put these little strings attached to it. Also, Im going to turn them in to the Business Bureau. Im going to light up Best Buy, Google everybody on the planet and tell them what Viking has done. Everything is the worst.

We were very excited to purchase multiple kitchen appliances from Viking. In the 14 months Ive owned them, I have had to have the stove serviced 5 times, including visits where the tech didnt even bring the correct parts for our model. Repair companies they use are terrible at responding, scheduling appointments and servicing the products. I STILL havent had the stove fixed after multiple calls with Viking. With these issues, I wouldnt recommend anyone purchases the product if you want a fictional stove.

I like the look of Viking Refrigerators and it was a right fit for what we needed. So we got a package deal from them and ended up getting two refrigerators. They’ve been great up until a month ago where unfortunately, one of them malfunctioned. The refrigerators are in our vacation home, and the gentleman who came out and checked it said the foam came loose and got caught in the fans. There was no coolant happening and no fans were going off, and it was heating up the temperature so all of the fixtures on the doors cracked from the heat. The food in my refrigerator also cooked for about two weeks, so it took 11 hours for the cleaners to get it cleaned and it still smells.I was still hoping that Viking will get it fixed, but parts have to be ordered and the gentleman who came out and told me to put coffee or charcoal in the refrigerator also said that the inside of my refrigerator got cooked. Its now beige and is off color. He said if I can live with that, then my refrigerator will probably be okay. But I was asked what I wanted and I said Id like the refrigerator replaced because it’s clear that theres something wrong and they came out and confirmed it. But theyre going to send all the pieces to put it together, and thats very silly to replace all the stuff as I don’t think my refrigerator is going to be all right because of the inside coloring. Its going to cost them as much for each of those drawers because everything inside the refrigerator wasn’t metal and most of the shelvings cracked and completely dropped to the bottom of the refrigerator, smothered in whatever food I had there, and it was just not good.My second Viking refrigerator, a small one that’s on the counter by my stove, also decided to kick out, which is weird because Viking is usually a very good product. The tech said he’s seen it on three others in his time and he’s worked for 20 years on Viking, but he’s never seen it this bad. So I hope they do the right thing and replace the product because it clearly was faulty. I think its a great product. Its sleek and I loved it, but Im still a little frustrated. Its been two weeks and I haven’t heard anything back, so Im going to call and see what was happening with my refrigerator.

After multiple service calls to repair/replaced the igniters on our Viking
After multiple service calls to repair/replaced the igniters on our Viking Professional Range, we now keep a fire starter on the range top to ignite the burners. Two local service companies will not warranty either the Viking igniters or their repair/replacement because igniter parts are consistently defective if they are even available from Viking Parts. Viking Ranges will not return our calls. Nice range with chronically defective parts that are impossible to repair/replace. After more than $1,700 in igniter repair/replacement, dont expect to light my stove without a fire stick. Remember, most Viking sales people are painfully aware of the problem but totally avoid the issue before you purchase the range.

Ive known all my life that Viking is a good brand. They had a pretty convenient package at Pacific Sales and their people are very professional. We are renovating and so there was a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave and two other items that all had matching faces, so we decided to go with that. The pull out ice tray of the refrigerator is pretty cute. There are little hiccups with the fridge but its quality is good.

The Viking refrigerator has a modern commercial look. The quality is outstanding and my favorite feature is the Plasmacluster which is the air purifier that makes the fridge not smell. I can put as much food as I want in there and it smells the same all the time. Also, the representative I dealt with was knowledgeable and had gone to Viking showcases and training.

I liked the look of the stove and the reputation that Viking Ranges had. I didnt so much like the price but you get what you pay for nowadays. The range is great and heavy duty. Its worth every penny I paid for it. Its a quality appliance and Id buy it again in a heartbeat if I had a choice. And Im so far very happy with it. I hope that I dont run into any kind of issues. Ive had a Thermador before and had nothing but problems with it. Ive also had a Wolf which was a good range but Viking is just as good and a little less expensive.

I purchased the Viking range in the summer and it has been physically operationally working for about three months. I had to have my kitchen redone, so we started with appliances first, then we installed it once the kitchen was pre-configured. It was a stand-up oven as opposed to a countertop. We’ve used it on several occasions and it has been great. The unit is very solid, has high BTU efficient, and has the gas top as well as the oven. It is a convection oven, which we never had before, so it has enhanced some of our food preparations by far. The appliance is quite heavy but that is part of the solid construction. Also, we haven’t used the self-cleaning function yet and we haven’t used the unit to a great extent. The prices of Viking are fairly high in range, like Wolf, Milan, and other manufacturers and the price of the unit I purchased was much higher than I wanted to spend. The particular stove model we purchased is being discontinued, which didnt bother me because the product itself is what’s important and it doesnt mean it’s not gonna be supported by the manufacturer.

Our kitchen looked beautiful. Viking appliances look great but dont last. Bought a wall oven in 2006 and had it fixed twice and then had to replace it with a Maytag in 2012 because the self-cleaning option burned up so much of the electronics that it was cheaper to buy a new oven. Our microwave, also bought in 2006, has been repaired twice and now we are going to replace it because it needs to be repaired again. Our beverage refrigerator either freezes anything close to the sides or can only keep things above 40 degrees, nothing in between. The thermostat was replaced but it made no difference. We are now using it as a cabinet for extra housewares. Our dishwasher works GREAT since we only use it about five times/year. The oven door on our large 6 burner stove has never been level but it works well enough for my use. My calls to Viking have produced nothing but oh sorry, you are just out of warranty but here is your closest authorized repair shop. I will NEVER buy another Viking product and will not recommend them to anyone.

When I built my house in 2006, I put all Viking appliances in, without regard for price, because I thought I would have quality products for many years. The dishwasher was labeled as not worth fixing, after 4 years. The temperature control on the built-in oven is so sloppy and inaccurate that you are always guessing at what the actual temperature is. I was told even the new control knobs are that inaccurate. The ice dispenser on the built-in side-by-side fridge dispenses ice to the floor almost every time it is used. I have to post instructions for use on the fridge when we are entertaining. The plastic pull-out ice drawer broke after the 4th year. The automatic ice maker stopped working completely in the 11th year and it took over a year to diagnose, get parts and repair the problem. Parts took 9 months to get. One positive, the meat drawer keeps the meat unbelievably fresh for extended amounts of time. No children here so the wear and tear is very minimal. I will never purchase another Viking product.

We bought a Viking oven three years ago and its been one problem after another. The temperature controls are wonky, there was a gas leak (gas company had to come and turn it off) and the fan is much louder than other comparable high-end models. All in all, the oven is a huge disappointment and I would not recommend anyone buying it.

My mom has a Viking range and I really like it. It’s bigger than 36-inch
My mom has a Viking range and I really like it. It’s bigger than 36-inch and she uses it when everyone comes over for Christmas and Easter. It just works so well. It would boil a pot of water within minutes which was way different than when I boil a pot of water on just a conventional oven. I felt like I was waiting for 20 minutes. So, I got one too and we really liked it. However, I got a replacement because for three years that weve had it, the door would fall off every three months and Viking couldn’t fix it. A whole slew of things happened throughout the first six months that led to more things, and it just broke. I asked Viking to replace it because it was not repairable and they’ve already repaired it 12 times. So finally, I got a new version of what I had bought and it’s working. I didn’t get to use the oven as much as I wanted to, but when I did, the convection was also one of the features that I wanted Viking for, and the self-clean which I really love. The cooktop is strong and it has a different side burners. The one at the back for simmer and then I have the oval one for a grill effect. The design is really nice. It’s low in the back which is basic to turn it on and clean it, and that’s all I have. The dealer was so sweet and she worked so hard with me. I had a lot of anxiety with my range and the appliance guy said, “You’re really lucky that you’ve got this replaced. No one gets a replacement.” It’s a $5,000 purchase and every time their techs would come out, it would be $200 just to assess it and it’s a high price to pay. So, to those who wanted to buy a Viking, they have to have some money to back it up if something goes wrong. They can’t just have it under warranty at Sears because Sears doesn’t cover a high-end appliance like Viking.

I just built a $150,000,000 house last year which I dont live in but I had remodeled my kitchen in 2000 and the Viking Range hood went in and I just knew I wanted to put the Viking stove under it. There was no reason to, everything was working and I quite frankly, forgot all about it and bought another house. I have a second home now but then the stove stopped working. Since I already have the range hood, which I love, I bought the stove to go with it. This is a very high-end appliance city so if someone has this problem I go, What a difficult position to be put in. The top of this range is great and heats up. It looks fabulous and fits beautifully with the range hood and in the space that it was designed to go in. However, the installation of the electrical for the oven is a nightmare. Theres a problem figuring out where to put the electrical box cause it doesnt fit under the stove. So, I have to cut up a cabinet or a wall. Im dissatisfied that they sold a product that cannot be installed unless its a new build. Im a real estate agent. And if Im selling a house and see a Viking range in the kitchen, Im immediately going to start thinking if its installed correctly. They should phase it out.

Viking was supposed to be a quality brand. Ive had the range for a year now and its not properly working. Ive had to have repairman after repairman in and out of my home and the problem is still not resolved 100% so its a bit of an issue. After nine months of not working properly, they decided to replace the whole range. And now, the parts that I had purchased that are supposed to fit the same year dont fit because a piece of it is warped. We finally got the other oven working because I didnt have both sides working for a whole year. And now that we finally got it working, the griddle that they replaced it with is warped. They had someone come out and look at it and it needed to be replaced. But Vikings saying that he didnt say that it was warped when I was standing right there and he did say it. They said that theyre not replacing it basically. So now, I have a warped griddle that I cant cover.I thought I was buying a luxury piece of equipment for my home and now its just been one thing after another and no ones been helpful. I havent heard from them for probably two to three weeks on what theyre going to do about the warped griddle so I just have another defective piece of whatever. It would be nice if I could go back and if they would refund me and I would purchase a completely different brand so that I could get some customer service.

I really like my Viking stove thats why I looked into buying a Viking refrigerator, too. I researched a lot and it seemed like Viking had the least number of complaints regarding breaking down or having trouble within the first five years. I like having two temperatures in the refrigerator. I can pull out the drawer and put a flat and large plate of cake or tart in the different section and control the temperature. Moreover, the Viking team at the dealer was nice, friendly and knowledgeable. They knew what the difference was between Viking and the other manufacturers which was great. However, Im having an issue with the fridge already. The second week after I purchased it, I noticed theres an icy patch in the back of the drawers. Some of the vegetables in the drawers were getting frozen. I had the temperature set at 37 Fahrenheit, in which nothing should be freezing at that point. I had to wait 20 minutes to speak to any technician then had to hold another 15 minutes to set up an appointment. I just bought it so I expect to get it fixed. I had to speak to the servicer in my area who called me back but there was a scheduling conflict so I havent seen them yet. Theyre supposed to come on Monday. I expected more. Im slightly disappointed with the problem I had.

I liked how the Viking products were built. They seemed very sturdy and the quality was very good. I love the high powered burner. Theres one thats super high power so I can boil water really fast. But recently the timer broke on my range. I called the repairman who found damage to the door. The range was working fine but this was something that couldnt be repaired so it was a big deal. He then contacted his Viking rep but afterwards they sent me an entirely new range and covered the installation. They were no longer making the model that I had, so I ended up with an upgrade and I didnt have to pay for a thing. I was blown away. The issue with the timers is that when the oven is heated up really high for cleaning, that destroyed the timer mechanism. The ranges dont come with a timer anymore and they had improved the range since I got mine in 2012. They sell a kit in case peoples timers go out. But what they did for me was amazing. Ive had my brand new Viking refrigerator since September 8 and it has been a lemon. It’s the third icemaker that’s been gone into it. The doors were supposed to come and before they could, the inside of the doors just started falling out of it. I had no icemaker during Thanksgiving and Christmas. They put one in one week and immediately it went before Christmas day. Weve been waiting and waiting and waiting, and a new icemaker came yesterday. And after 2 months, the icemaker decided to start working. This is a very sick refrigerator. I had a Sub-Zero refrigerator before and it was wonderful. But on my Viking refrigerator, every time I close the door, it dumps ice on the floor. The repairman said yesterday “Well, all refrigerators do that.” But my Sub-Zero didn’t. I was led to believe that Viking was a better appliance than the Wolf packages, but its not. I am very disappointed in what I thought was gonna be a very good product. And another thing was Ive had to ask for books to operate it. I called and told them I didn’t get any manual to work with me. They told me I can go online and print it out but it was 30 pages to print out.

When we remodeled our kitchen we purchased all Viking appliances -- BIG MISTAKE! From day one the refrigerator leaked water out the freezer. Soon thereafter the seal had to be replaced. The motor failed and we lost hundreds of dollars of food. And the open door alarm went berserk and kept beeping even with the door shut for 6 days straight (day and night) until the repair guy finally came to turn it off. The oven has been through 3 electronic boxes and the burner lighters go bad every few months. As for the dishwasher... we have had the motor replaced once, the pump replaced twice. The water fill thingy (not sure what its called) replaced twice and three leaks from the bottom fixed. Do yourself a big favor and do not purchase Viking products unless you are having an affair with a Viking Appliance repair man, lol!

We’ve had a Viking range for 12 years. We compared Sub-Zero and Viking when we looked to replace our freezer and refrigerator. Viking was more affordable so we went with them. However, the quality is not the best. Our Sub-Zeros that we replaced were older models and they were built better back then than they are today for both. The temperature is not consistent and some of the settings arent correct. The freezer will go anywhere from 10 degrees above zero to 10 degrees below zero even set on a fairly high setting. It took me a while to decide on it if I was gonna buy from a dealer in New York and I wouldn’t have had to pay tax. But I wasn’t comfortable with that so I bought it from a dealer in Miami, which is where I live. I bought it in red and that’s cost me considerably more. They gave me the dishwasher but I bought the red panel which I had to pay for and I bought a Viking convection microwave which is not in color. It’s stainless. The first time I used the oven, I was really uncertain as to how quickly it cooks. So I called Viking and spoke to one of the representatives who happened to be a chef and I told her I was making lamb chops and she told me what to do. Now I have a little bit of difficulty in removing the shelves and lowering them ‘cause the pull-out shelves are in an obviously different way than regular ovens. I cooked the lamb chops a little too long so while they still came out great, I overdid them so I have to be a little careful in learning exactly how long I can put something in the oven or the broiler. And I’ve never cooked with infrared and it is fast. The range, when it turns on, it’s so fast and it boils water so quickly. The only problem I did have initially was that the broiler can that came with it was a piece of junk. It looks like it came from a $500 oven. I read the user’s instructions and it said, “Use no chemicals at all. I bought special cloth in Sweden to clean it. But the pan, the first time I used it, the surface started to come off. So they sent me a new one and the new one looks exactly like the oven rack which is what should have come with it in the first place. And it’s wonderful. However, I found this tiny little beige mark, like a perfectly cylindrical little round mark no bigger than the zero on the keyboard and I didn’t know what it was so they sent a Viking representative out and he found two of them on each side and they said they’re supposed to be there. So other than that, I don’t have any complaints. I love the Viking Range. I didn’t want to pay the extra money but I bought the sealed range set because that’s what I was used to and it was considerably more to buy it that way but it’s easy to clean. If you bought the open range, things can go underneath. And I’m not the neatest cook in the world. So all together, it cost me about $5,600. I love the dishwasher, too. It has a light in it and when it’s on, it’s so quiet you can’t hear it and the light shines red on my floor. The only thing is it’s a little smaller than I’m used to but it’s still very nice. And the microwave, it’s microwave and convection. So you can cook in it. But I have to learn how to do that because convection cooks very fast. But I love the way it looks. Also, anybody that I have had to deal with at Viking has been very polite, pleasant and always got back to me and got me that wonderful correct broiler pan right away. I don’t always use everything I buy but I like to buy and I like high-end stuff. And this is one of the few things I’ve never had a complaint about except the broiler pan which was the wrong one. So Viking is super wonderful.

We had nothing but trouble with the Viking Range that we first received. It was a gas range, the simplest model that Viking makes and I felt like I got a lemon unit. We were without an oven for five weeks. I contacted Viking and I spoke with a gentleman named Tony who should have been responsible for resolving these kinds of issues. Basically, he said that Viking would only come and replace parts on the unit even though we had had the repairman out three times. He also said that they would restart our warranty once the range started working. Tony was nice but he had a very condescending attitude. He should not be dealing with end-users.Viking never got me a new range and I am rather disappointed with them. They were exceedingly stubborn with replacing it. I didn’t even wanna go with the same model and I wanted to get a different one. I wanted to go to a dual convection and I wouldve paid the difference if Viking wouldve stepped in and did something about it. It took a lot of work and coordination that the consumer and the end-user should not have had to go through. I have never dealt with a more frustrating company and I’m astonished that they treat an end-user like that. It ruined my opinion of them. The dealer I purchased it from replaced the range, and that was before Viking agreed to make the transfer. This was all done through the retailer. They brought a new one out and it worked right away, and it’s been working since then. Viking is a very good range while it’s been working, but with all the experience I had with the last unit, I was not happy. Any time that somebody will ask me about my range, I will be more than happy to tell them the story of how Viking basically did nothing.

Viking is a great brand and has a good reputation. My parents had a Viking range when I was a kid and we just redo our kitchen so we got our own Viking range for its price and quality. We looked at discount places and priced out Viking ranges. We bought a model from last year and we like its BTU for the burners. The overall quality is good and we love it. Our favorite feature is the burners and we have five burners now that we’ve actually all been able to use.The sales guy at the Viking dealer was great and did no pressure. He has very high professionalism and knowledge for the product. He totally helped us out and then we looked and told him that we would look somewhere else and get another quote. It was no problem with him so we went and looked at another Viking range somewhere else. We realized that what we first saw was the one that we should have bought all along so we went right back and got it. Were very happy with our Viking range and it’s simply one of those things we’re going to have for a very long time.

I recently purchased what I thought was a nice used fridge (Viking Designer Series Fridge DDFF136DSS0) from someone only to find out that it most likely has a bad motherboard. It doesnt cool at all and the display on the front shows nothing but a blue screen. The buttons dont do anything except for light up. After researching, apparently these motherboard controls have been failing a lot with these models and Viking charges $1,000 for a new control board. That is insane for something that is failing regularly. For that price and the repair, I might have to just go and buy a new fridge from a different company. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of care that Viking has presented in the matter. This is a major problem with Vikings product and they do not care. I commented that I could buy a new fridge for the price of the part and the Viking agent laughed and said, I dont know why you think that, people say that all the time but you cant buy one from us at that price. It was rude. I am extremely disappointed. This was for my family but I am a home remodeller and will not be recommending Viking with this type of repair cost and horrible service.

I bought the beautiful cobalt blue, 2-oven, 8-burner, dual-fuel range in 2018 during our rebuild, after losing our house in the Tubbs Fire of 2017. I love my range, its a real beauty, but I sure wish I could have configured the burners differently. ALL of the most powerful burners are along the front edge of the stove. The medium burners and the smallest burner are on the back, harder to reach even if more commonly used. If only they had put a couple of the most powerful burners (you can never use any of them full-blast, they are way too powerful) in the back and put the less powerful ones upfront that you would use every day! Why put the smallest burner, for gently melting or sautéing something, way in the back where its hard to reach and keep an eye on? Ugh!

In our kitchen, we have a Viking cooktop and a Viking dishwasher. So, when we moved into this house, we decided to go with Viking to complete the set and for the quality. I purchased a Viking Series 5 built-in refrigerator through Best Buy. It was delivered and installed, and it was working fine for about two days. Then, one of the hinges seemed to have broken on the door. I went back to Best Buy and told them about it. They said they would order a new one and have it delivered, take the old one and send it back. This was about six weeks ago and the new one was supposed to show up yesterday. I got a phone call in the morning saying that it was not gonna show up. Its been quite frustrating to call me the day its supposed to arrive and tell me that it was not gonna come. They scheduled a day that it might come which is for August 28th but I got three different emails, which all say 28th, 29th, and 31st. So, I dont know what day its actually coming at this point.Originally, I thought it was only gonna be five weeks. So, they offered for me to purchase a substitute refrigerator until the other one came in and I could return the substitute at a later time. If it was gonna be another five weeks, we can live with it but the door thing has been getting progressively worse to the point where Im the only one in the house that can shut it. Its a 48-inch refrigerator, so its a heavy door. You can lift the door up to get it to shut and it seals once its shut. Also, to add insult to injury, when you pull the door down of the Viking dishwasher, theres a rubbing noise and you have to sort of push it a little. So, Ive been trying to call the appliance vendor that we got that through, but I cant get a call back from them. When Viking works, it’s great. But when there’s an issue, it can’t get resolved. And Best Buy is throwing Viking under the bus saying that they were the ones who didnt deliver it.

After I saw the Viking range at a store, I asked my friend who had one for 25 years and he loves it. Its made with fantastic quality, and the temperature control and how hot it gets are great. I love the products, but the Viking dealer, specifically sales, did a poor job. Theyre too busy. Concerning how expensive their product is, I think I could have had a better experience. Other than that, things were ordered well.

We were looking for the type of professional oven and knew Viking had a good name. We looked at the other ones, too but chose the Viking. The quality is a little bit shifty and could be better for the price. I’ve already had it serviced back in November because the oven wasn’t starting for me right away. However, the repairman came just two weeks ago, that’s how long it took me to get service. We live in a very small rural community and it was very frustrating calling Viking. Also, the oven is a little small for me at times. Other than that, it’s fine and I really like it.

We purchased an expensive D3 series Viking oven thinking that paying a LOT more (than ie a Samsung or Kitchen Aid) will offer us a lot better product. WRONG!!Yesterday midnight we heard a loud noise in the kitchen. Short story we went to the kitchen and found the décor front oven black glass on the floor shattered in a thousand tiny pieces (the oven was off!). We babied this oven and it has low use!! I mean we babied it like our own eyes!!I called several places that carry Viking authorized parts to replace the glass at my expense (even though I am most sure this was a defect on the glass that on the long run stressed out) and I was SHOCKED to hear that this is a special order that the factory no longer makes. SO I am now stuck with an originally $4,000+ boat anchor that we cannot use due to the fact that Viking, supposedly a very high end American manufacturer decided not to sell replacement parts anymore. I have had several other ovens during the course of my life. MUCH lower priced i.e Samsung that NEVER - EVER had an issue getting service, replacement parts and certainly not a single one had a glass explode on its own. This is TOTAL GARBAGE - stay away from this manufacturer and buy other appliances. UNHEARD OF!!!

I don’t like Viking appliances. I’ve had issues with the ice maker ever since I bought my refrigerator. They came out one time and replaced it because they said there was a fly in it. After they fixed it, it worked for about six months. And then I have to always pull the bin out, empty it out, clean it out and put it back in so it could work again. Now it doesn’t work at all. I’ve called Appliance Masters and they’ve been out many times. The repairman comes and he says nothing is wrong with it but I still have an issue. At this point, I have no warranty on it but I need someone to come out and actually fix it. I ordered the part to change it myself. The dealers were nice. But as far as when I emailed them, I got absolutely no response.I’ve had my dishwasher for seven years and when I turn it on, it runs over three hours and I have to open the door and see if it’s clean or dry. I never know how long it’s supposed to take. I never knew from the beginning because it never ran a full cycle. When I open it, I see all this water and soap in the bottom. I wash my dishes by hand. The water is sitting there. I have to spoon it out or cup it out because it starts to smell after a while. It’s a big issue for me because I’ve never been able to have a full cycle of clean dishes. When I called this last time to get somebody to help me with my appliances, the repairman told me he gets a negative call every single day and he’s always apologizing to the customers when they call. Consumers like me don’t know who to contact to say their complaint to. The sales guy was telling me that he gets this kind of call every single day. Generally, I’m easygoing and I don’t really like complaining about anything. But when it comes to a point when somebody’s so top-notch, I get very disappointed because of the name.Viking has a name like Mercedes-Benz. I was thinking I was getting the best and I was very wrong because if Viking was so great, their appliances would work properly. And even if I get a lemon, I understand that at least it could be fixed when someone comes out to check it. I was disappointed. I would not recommend Viking to anybody. I would not recommend the places I called for service for Viking. They just can’t fix it. I used to have a GE and it’s in my garage now. It works a lot better than Viking and I’ve had that a lot longer.

But once I paid, I was had a hard time getting updates on the delivery date. Another thing was the range was too expensive. Other than that, the design of the range fits my kitchen and my cooking style. I do quite a bit of stir-frying so a high BTU range helps quite a bit. I also like the amount of flame that comes out. Its really nice.

I’ve known about Viking for quite some time. The name was pretty strong but they went through some rough patches as of recent. But I liked changes that were made after the company was purchased by Middleby. I liked the BTUs that they offered too. There werent many out there that had higher BTU. I used to have a Viking 16 years ago and the new one works just as good as the old one. We had some growing issues where they, unfortunately, tried to keep up with demand and not necessarily putting as much time and effort into research and development. But it looks like the purchase by the newer company has fixed all those issues. My range is a solid piece of equipment. So far, it’s been working fine and is doing everything I expected it to do. I like the strength of the front three burners. I cook a lot. When finishing off sous vide or doing cordon steaks, you need the high BTU. Typically, I braised pork belly for 10 hours but I like to finish it off with a really good high sear as they caramelize. The range is helpful because it has high heat to it.Also, when I had an issue with one of my knobs, a replacement knob was sent to me immediately. Overall, I had a very good experience with the company. I like the fact that Viking has a local office here in California as well so if I ever have an issue, I could always try and get on to their distribution center or their facility over here.

We saw Viking at the Hahn Appliance store and my wife specifically liked the style and look of it. The one we bought was the 48-inch and it had the ice and water in the door, and we had a small fire inside the freezer door because the wires melted together. We stood toe-to-toe with Viking ‘cause they just wanted to replace the part. I said to them that the freezer caught on fire so they should replace the refrigerator and they did. Its just a fridge, and frankly a poorly designed product, that for some reason costs an order of magnitude more than others. My Viking is 19 years old but the first failures started in the first year. Shelf units and other plastic parts crack and break and the price of replacement is half the cost of a brand new fridge of another brand ($600 for a plastic drawer cover! - be warned!). Im about to haul my $15,000 fridge to the dump because the back is rusting out, it leaks water onto the floor whenever it defrosts, and the control panel no longer responds to key presses. Ive taken my fridge apart. Im a former VP of Engineering for a few product development companies and in my opinion there is nothing in this fridge to justify the price. Its just a fridge. Cheap electronics, poor mechanical design, and for some reason this company is able to charge a huge premium for their product and extortionist prices for replacement parts. Save your money! Buy something else!

Im not crazy about the drawer layout but it was the only one they had. The drawers aren’t deep enough for the vegetables and the fruits. They don’t have a lot of bottles to choose from. The refrigerator door fell on my wife out of nowhere when she opened it. But Viking they did an exceptional job in making sure that my wife was okay and that we received a new unit. We couldn’t be happier with their response. I assume it was because of the liability and the potential for an injury. They also probably wanted to prevent that from ever happening again. We have three little kids and God forbid it was one of them who opened those doors. It weighs 150 to 200 pounds fully loaded. Viking said it has apparently never happened before but that can happen with any product. Still, we’re happy with the product, its looks and its performance. We’ve owned the Viking refrigerator for some time now, along with the oven, the microwave and the dishwasher. We have the whole Viking outfit. We bought a brand new Viking Professional 301 Series Built-In Dishwasher when we moved into a new townhouse 18 months ago. It hasnt worked in a month, although we have had 4 service calls and 4 parts replacements in 3 weeks - after the last visit it flooded the kitchen floor after the tech left. I think we have had 8 service calls in 18 months. There is obviously a problem with the dishwasher (it has been discontinued) however Viking refuses to consider replacing it. Viking does not stand by their product - rather than provide us with a working unit, they prefer to jerry-rig a series of failing repairs. This is one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. I would not recommend Viking to anyone. I bought my first Viking Professional eight years ago for aesthetic purposes and alleged reliability. Unfortunately, the freezer section broke down five years into it and I subsequently had to pay $1,000 to get that fixed. Where I am now, all of the built-ins of the Viking Professional line were already installed when I got here and six months into using it, one of the the refrigerator sections broke down even though my freezer section was cooling. I had not registered my refrigerator, but the customer service center expedited the service and the authorization code to the local service center so that we could address it quickly. Luckily, the repair guy had the part on hand or I would have been sitting without a refrigerator for a week or two if he had to order it. But he told me that he has seen this before with all the built-ins. The one that I have retails for $12,000 and if Im paying top of the line for the Viking Professional line, I expect some type of reliability. So Im a little disappointed. They probably didn’t engineer a certain piece correctly and in the manufacturing world, that may cause the piece to break down sooner rather than later or stop functioning the way it needs to.I have friends who use Sub-Zero, which has a price point thats a little higher, and I have other friends who have Wolf. When I benchmark my peers and what we have, mine’s average in terms of reliability. I don’t know their everyday details but I expect a little more reliability especially for the first five years of a product. Viking Professional is perceived as a high quality brand appliance and I think the salespeople and the dealer provide service to the best of their knowledge, but my personal experience has been such that I question the reliability of it. It hasnt met my expectations and unfortunately, I cant return it either.

It would take days to fully explain all of the trouble weve had with our Viking refrigerator and freezer. They are both about five years old and have been nothing but trouble. The first freezer was deemed a lemon and was replaced just before we purchased our home. The replacement freezer has never worked properly. Over the past year, I have had the local repair company at my home about a dozen times. My children are familiar with the man. They greet him by name; we even got him a Christmas gift! That is how familiar we are with the repairman.Last March, the refrigerator stopped working. It took over a week just to have someone come and diagnose the issue. Then, the part we needed was on back order. We were without a refrigerator for over a month. As a wife and a mother of two young children, you can imagine the problems this caused. Once it was repaired, it worked for a few months, until we began having issues again in the summertime. We also had an ongoing issue with the freezer developing a sheet of ice on the back wall. On December 18, 2018, we had the repairman come for the issue with the ice in the freezer (I think this was his fourth time coming for that particular issue), as well as an issue with the refrigerator developing a sheet of ice behind the drawers. Each time we have one problem repaired, a new one comes up. I actually called Viking Customer Service and spoke in detail with a representative on February 12th. I explained that we had been without a refrigerator since December (in addition to the ice developing, there was another issue that caused the refrigerator to stop cooling). The part needed to repair this problem was on backorder. She was very kind and helpful and assured me she would return my call within 48 hours. I have yet to hear back from her.The cost to replace the refrigerator and freezer is over $20k. The fact that we have an appliance that is that expensive and it rarely functions properly is absolutely ridiculous. I would happily purchase another brand, but nothing is the same size as the Viking. Therefore, were looking at having to renovate our kitchen and change the cabinets to accommodate a new refrigerator and freezer. I had a sliver of hope after speaking to the customer service representative, but now I know that was too good to be true. Not only are the Viking products unreliable, they dont care about the consumer.I have never been so dissatisfied with a product or a company. I have spent countless hours on the phone with the repair company and days at home waiting on service. Ive wasted money on the repairs, not to mention the obscene amount of food, both refrigerated and frozen, that Ive had to throw away. I honestly cannot believe they are able to get away with selling these products.

In retrospect, I wanted everything Viking. I bought a self-standing range, a big electric French door oven, and a fridge. The dealer was nice and my experience was very good. The features of the Viking Range were better. The power of the gas from the top range is terrific and Im very happy with it. I also love the features of the oven, but I had some issues with the set. The doors didnt close well so they had to come back and close the doors, so I was partly happy with it. However, Im not super satisfied with the brand new fridge. The ice machine was not working and they had to come back. For the price Ive paid for it, Im not happy with that. Its working okay now, but it took a while.

When I went to a store in Chicago, the place had all different brands and competitors of Viking, but I was sold on Vikings reputation. The salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable of the Viking product and that made the experience very easy for me. Plus I had a deal going on at the time where I could buy a type of package that fit well because we were remodeling our kitchen. Theres been a couple of little issues, but when we have had them, theyre on top of it right away. The first issue was when the icemaker went out and the second one is that the door on the range is screwy. I have a guy coming out today to service my range so the service has been great. Hopefully its not a big deal and its under warranty and everything is fixed and again, well be very happy with our purchase.

But Ive had problems with the refrigerator and the wine refrigerator and Ive had the appliance store at our house. For the refrigerator, this will be the fourth time, and for the wine refrigerator, twice. After paying the amount of money for all my appliances, Id like to have them working correctly. My kids are cooks and they like the quality of Vikings ranges. As for me, I like both the aesthetic of the design for home kitchen and their reputation for having a solid product. We got two ranges and the quality is good. But we had some problems with the packaging of the items. A number of our items loaded from Viking got damaged during shipping, which was a pain in the butt. I dealt with Friedmans Appliance and the people there were awesome. They interacted with the Viking rep and we never had any problem replacing units or having someone come out and look at it. So we were very pleased. My favorite thing about the ranges is the quality of the knobs. A lot of times, knobs would be cheesy and chintzy. But the ones on my unit are extremely solid. Theyre also just about the right size since Im a man working the stove.

My contractor sold the products of Viking so we chose them. But we hate the fridge and were a little disappointed that we went with Viking. The fridge model that we got does not have an in-door ice maker. We hate that the ice gets everywhere in the ice maker in the freezer, and it even gets underneath and falls out. Thats my biggest complaint, but I have no other complaints about the rest of the fridge and its mostly just the ice situation. But I definitely would not recommend Viking.

I love the Viking range. I was looking for a larger range, and I liked the fact that it has two ovens- the regular oven and another one. The griddle is awesome and my husband loves all of the burners. It’s also pretty to look at. I ordered it through a catalog and when it was delivered, the delivery people left it outside of my house. They said they would come back to bring it in the house. Then they said it was damaged. I tried to have it picked up by them, but they wouldn’t do it. They said my husband signed that it was okay. My sons had to bring it into the house and when they brought it in, they broke one of the knobs off. But otherwise, the stove was not damaged. I had to call Viking to get a new part and they did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Viking.

Eight years ago, we remodeled our kitchen and purchased four Viking appliances - two wall ovens, an eight-burner gas range and a microwave. We spent in excess of $10,000 on these products with the expectation of high quality and the hope that they would be life-time investments. All still function well and we have had no problems up until now.Approximately 3 months ago the lettering and numbering on the oven control panels began to come off. I contacted Viking regarding this issue and was informed that I would need to purchase new control panels at a cost of over $100 each plus the cost of installation. Not only is the problem disappointing, Im even more disappointed in the complete lack of customer care or support demonstrated by Viking. I was unable to speak directly to a Viking customer support representative, instead was directed to a regional supplier who was less than engaged or helpful. The Viking call center is a maze of transfers and the corporate office phone number listed on the web site is simply a number that directs you to the same maze of transfers and select-an-options. Viking manufactures a good product and should stand behind it with stellar customer service and support. Numbers/letters rubbing off on a product meant to last a life-time is unacceptable and Viking should be willing to rectify the problem with minimal inconvenience and cost to their customer.I suggest Viking review the customer service/support policies of other high-end home product manufacturers and implement some of their strategies. In particular I mention Kohler. We are also experiencing a minor issue with a faucet we purchased during our kitchen renovation. Upon contacting Kohler, I spoke directly to a representative who immediately placed the order for the replacement part. It is being shipped directly to me at no charge. Companies who market themselves as offering high-quality products to discriminating customers should stand behind their products no matter how large or small the issue may be.

I know about kitchen brands since we have a restaurant, and though Wolf is my favorite, I went with a Viking range for its size. I like the Wolf way better. I like the way the Wolf looks more commercial. Vikings a little modern for my liking but I enjoy that it fits in our tiny condo and its a commercial range. However, it was installed crooked and its still crooked. It slopes, so the trays slide out when Im cooking. Its dangerous when Im cooking greasy items. I dont know if the guy that installed it is also the reason why it doesnt ignite properly or if its a Viking problem, but it explodes when I try to light it. I havent been able to use it for quite some time and Ive tried to get the guy out to fix it. Ive reached out to them a couple of times but he is a no-show and a no-callback. The team at the Viking dealer was very helpful and delivery was done on time. The style and the temperature settings are nice. However, I dont know if Viking was worth the money we paid for. Weve had less expensive brands in the past that worked as well or had fewer issues than weve had with it. It should be more reliable for its price. The water dispenser is leaking and the ice dispenser has been replaced twice since we purchased the Viking refrigerator. Also, the approved service provider that was recommended on Vikings website was terrible. They came on April 17th, ordered several parts and then they communicated but there hasnt been anything done. The quality of the Viking refrigerator is okay. But I would have liked to have features that other refrigerators have and Viking does not, like an ice and water dispenser in the door. Also, the fridge has an ice maker that dumps ice in a tray in the freezer section of the refrigerator. If you pull out the freezer section, ice cubes in the back tumble out on the ground. I dont see that as being a positive feature of the refrigerator at all. Ive never had a refrigerator that tumbled ice cubes on the floor because the tray isnt holding properly. Other than those two things, I like the refrigerator. As far as keeping things cool, it keeps things cool. It looks attractive on the inside, too. We werent originally getting Viking Refrigerators but after looking at refrigerators, I liked the features on it and the quality of the refrigeration is good. It has the two doors on top and a door freezer. I like that the ice tray is not in the door because you lose space when it’s in the door, that was why we ended up going with Viking. I originally wanted refrigerators with the ice maker in the door, but it doesn’t work well with this kind of model. We got the Viking also because when you pull the ice tray, there are three drawers that pull out so when you do one pull of the drawer on the outside, the ice tray drawer comes out as well. It’s magnetized to the door and that’s a big feature. A lot of times with the other refrigerators. Once you open the drawer and then you get to pull another rack to get the ice, it’s two steps, which is annoying. This way, you pull it once and then you can get the ice. But when it was delivered, they took that feature off. It was on the showroom floor, but then they changed the model and they no longer did that feature so a part was ordered for us to put the back of that on the door. So now, it’s magnetized and the ice tray drawer pulls out. They were able to do that but they should put that feature back in. That was the selling feature for us. Thank goodness they were able to retrofit that. We had a problem with the doors. When you look at the two top doors, there’s a weave in the stainless steel on one side and there’s none in the other so we had the salesperson from Appliance World come in and checked it. She came, verified it and then went back to the reps who deal with the Viking people. They said that cosmetic problems are supposed to be told within three months, and we were six months out. I’m going to call my sales rep and tell her that I was not happy with that. She saw that there was a problem and I was told that one side door will be switched out. The other sales rep from Appliance World that deals with the repair people said, “You’re out of warranty. Sorry. Bye.” She wasn’t very nice. She also said, “I deal with these people all the time. Viking is not going to change their mind. Blah, blah, blah.” The other reason that we liked the feature is that we were able to create this to make it look like a built-in because Viking simply gives built-in refrigerator and this particular model is the only one they make that’s not a built-in. We have custom cabinetry so they made it look like it was a built-in and it came out nice. We didn’t want to spend the money on a built-in and this is not a built-in but we can make it look like one.

I love to cook. My next-door neighbor used to be a head chef for a French restaurant in New York City and she has a Viking. So I was looking at getting one. At the time, I was also looking at Wolf and an Italian stove. But the guy at the Appliances Connection down in New Jersey talked me into buying the Viking. I heard that Viking had some issues back and he convinced me that those issues had been resolved. So I believed him and I bought it. But Ive been frustrated a little bit because it came not working. The small stove would ignite but it would go out and it would keep trying to ignite over and over again. I called Viking and I registered it, but she told me they didnt have anyone who repairs it in our area. I told her my next-door neighbor has a stove and that Id ask her. But the woman said no and never followed through with getting someone to repair it.However, the people I bought this stove from, Appliances Connection, stepped up and found a repairman. They organized the repair and now it is fixed. Im very happy. But someone needs to talk to Vikings service department rep. We purchased several Viking high end appliances for a condominium about 6 years ago. I have never been so dissatisfied with an appliance line ever. First one about a year ago then two others less than 3 months apart. I was told by service rep for Viking the parts alone will be over $3,200. Are you kidding me? The elements usually burn out affecting same circuit. One large and one small burner share but our small burners work.I would never buy another and suggest you DO NOT either. In addition our Viking ice maker does not work. Our refrigerator ice maker became our source for ice since. It works only if you manually move arm each time shelf is pulled out. I can not begin to express the poor quality and especially short life cycle of these very expensive appliance.

I wanted to get a Viking Refrigerator for its quality. I like the brand, thats why I purchased a second refrigerator. But Im not happy with the grid up top. When I got the first refrigerator, the grid was higher and the height of the cabinet above the fridge was based on that grid. But now this one is lower, so now I can see a gap between the cabinet and the top of the fridge. Their quality is just not as good as it used to be. I still like it, but Im not happy with the way they changed things. The fridge has the same features and size as the first one. But I liked the way the light didnt dim on and off when I open the fridge. Its drawers and cooler are also different and better. In terms of my experience with the Viking dealer, I’ve dealt with them in the past and I purchased my baking products from them originally. I would have been happy if they were more knowledgeable about the grid on the new fridge. I feel like it ruined my kitchen. I designed the original kitchen around my appliances so it doesn’t make sense to me why they would shorten the grid up top. My experience with the Viking Refrigerator would be nicer if it lasted more than 10 years for that amount of money. Other than that, it was fine.

Ive always known about Viking Refrigerators for a long time and it was in the house that we purchased. There was a Viking Range, a Viking refrigerator, and a stove then. I was replacing an existing Viking refrigerator that was about 17 or 18 years old. It was built-in so I was looking for something that would fit into the exact space where it was. And when I went to the appliance store, the salesperson at the appliance store steered me to Viking. I was buying a refrigerator and a dryer that day and he showed me something else but he strongly suggested the Viking and since I didn’t have any negative feelings about Viking, I went with it. This refrigerator will be the third refrigerator and the first one kept having problems. It would freeze up and the icemaker wouldn’t work. The refrigerator section would heat up to about 43 degrees and the freezer would get down incredibly cold. I had six service calls on it and finally, the service guy said, “I think we need to get this thing replaced.” So Viking replaced it after several weeks and sent a new one out to Asien’s Appliance here in Santa Rosa and they delivered it. However, the guys that delivered it couldn’t align the doors properly. The refrigerator section was about half inch or a bit lower. The door was lower than the freezer side so I called the people that handle the warranty repairs again and the guy came out and looked at it. He said that there was something wrong with it and maybe it was dropped. He couldn’t fix it and jury-rigged it so the door worked. For a while, the door wouldn’t even close but then he worked on it again and he got the door to close by taking some part out. I got word that Viking set up a delivery of a replacement for that one. This will be the third one and hopefully, it will be okay. I wouldn’t recommend them to a friend but at least Viking is faithfully standing by their warranty.

As a very dissatisfied and disappointed Viking customer, I would never recommend the product to anyone. I have often said to anyone who listens that our Viking kitchen appliances was the worst purchase we ever made. We have had more repairmen here to work on the highly touted Viking appliances in the last 6 years than in our entire 40-year history of home/appliance ownership. It is a joke. We are currently waiting for the Viking repairman once again to come fix the refrigerator to hopefully stop the leaking that is damaging our hardwood floor. If I was independently wealthy, I would throw them all away; but Im not. We made what we thought was a wise investment that would last us through retirement. I remodeled my house in 2009 and changed all my appliances to Viking Professional appliances. I was under the assumption that this is the best product available and moreover it is made in USA!!!! I came to find out this is the biggest and worst scam to rub people of their money with nothing but a heavy chunks of metal. I have had problem with my gas cook-top where I had it repaired 4 times. It kept clicking and the technician said the board was bad. Changing the board resolved it for a day and then he said the ignition parts are bad so he changed them. This started again so another company came and fixed it somehow and said the wiring was bad. After all this the cups around the burners changed color. Refrigerator does not dispense water and leaks in freezer and freezes all the time making it impossible to dispense ice and only way to get ice is to carve it because it is clumped together. Microwave oven does not heat as much as $150 microwave and has been corroding inside. Oven stopped working during Christmas time and took 6 months for them to figure out what was wrong with me being on the phone for hours with Viking executive offices. Vent unit has four settings which one has never worked. Viking does not take any responsibility for any of the problems you get. Standing behind their products is a news to them. I think their policy is sell, run and hide. I do have a Whirlpool Refrigerator that has spend most its life of 21 years in the garage with harsh temperatures but is still running like the first day. I would not buy and would discourage anyone that I care about to stay away from these products. I bought these items from Number 1 Appliance and they said these come with 10 years of warranty but each time I called the warranty company they told me that problem is not covered. I think they just warrant the heaviness of the product not its functionality.

Its like a French door refrigerator, but they dont hit each other. My sister has a Sub-Zero but its doors would hit each other if they didnt close them the right way. As with ours, the doors seem to be pretty seamless, which is good. However, the freezer in our fridge is like a pull out drawer and if I pull the freezer from one side, it gets off the track a little bit. Sometimes I have to straighten it out and push it back in, which is a little weird. Also, it would be cool if there was a water dispenser inside the fridge, though Im sure Viking has that on some of their high-end refrigerators. As for the Viking dealer, their team was on-time and they answered all my questions. They were absolutely friendly and respectful as well. It was an easy experience overall.

I always wanted Viking appliances. I love to cook, so it is a brand that was instilled in me that is quality and a professional kitchen. Initially, I should have looked. I went to Best Buy to look at them, but I ordered these online, and I never really tested them out. I like certain things that I bought, but there were certain things I don’t like. I like the refrigerator because it’s large. But I’ve seen others that the inside interiors are better made, more stylish, and the placement of the shelves are a lot more intuitive than the Viking. The doors and the bins are fine. It’s just the placement of them is not as functional as we thought it would be. We like the soft-close doors but we didn’t expect it to be so small inside being a 48-inch. We thought it’d be a lot larger because we had other appliances like LG or Samsung, and those were standard-sized, and they seemed to have more space. I like the Viking because of the aesthetics. It’s a beautiful refrigerator. But in terms of functionality, it’s just plain-Jane. It’s a $10,000 fridge so I was expecting more. It’s a 48-inch refrigerator, and its freezer is tiny, unfortunately.

I initially read about Viking Range on the internet and heard that they were good ranges from others word-of-mouth. Then there was a lot of bad write-ups about Vikings from the service warranty, saying there were the ranges have a lot of breakdowns. I then found out that it was taken over by Milne whose goal was to improve on service and reliability, so I gave Viking a shot. Now that I have it I think its quality is top-notch. I love it. The grill is my favorite. My least favorite however would be the time that it takes for the broiler to come to temperature - it takes a half-hour at least. Maybe Im doing it wrong by waiting for the oven light to turn off when it is ready. But other than that, its wonderful. Viking is a phenomenal range but there a few things one has to know about it. It takes a little bit more maintenance but its worth it. The range has to be cleaned once a month so I take it completely apart on the first of the month, every month and soak everything, dry it all, and put it back together. I do the same thing to the Vent A Hood exhaust fan I bought and have that and the range paired together in the same color. Also, the burner sometimes doesnt light so the top needs to be taken off then go through the holes with a big pen and wring it out to make sure that the igniter is dry.

We had a horrible time with our Viking when we first got it in. I contacted Viking and they got on the ball and got the range serviced. I liked the people I dealt with. Also, the range cooks good, although Im not used to the oven yet. It seems like my cakes and stuff have been all right but with biscuits, Im having to put it up on a higher temperature to even get them to brown good. That bothers me. And the quality inside the oven kind of disappointed me. The racks from the other stove that I had were more of a quality than the ones I have now. Also, in the book, it says to use just soap and water for cleaning but that wont do it all the time. That worries me. Its very important to have a product that you can clean with other than just soap and water.

We had purchased a Viking range and dishwasher about four years ago. We had a commercial refrigerator but didn’t know that Viking had refrigeration at that time. We got rid of the commercial one and I looked up Viking and found this refrigerator. I love the lighting in the refrigerator. Ive also never had a freezer on the bottom. I don’t get into the freezer nearly as much as the refrigerator so I love that feature because I dont have to bend down to get into a crisper. The space in it is amazing. Ive had the side-by-side where the freezer is on one side and the refrigerator is on the other and theyre just wasted space. This French door is very easy to clean, too. I take a soft-butt towel and use a microfiber towel to dry it and Ive got the surface cleaned in two minutes. We had been with Sears for years for our appliances. Weve been in our house for 24 years so this is our second round of appliances now. We had 10 more brands and I wanted something on a higher end. It took me six months to pick something up because I read reviews and Viking had great ones. We decided to switch to Viking for our kitchen appliances just from appearance and reviews. The downside was there wasn’t a store near us where we could go in and put our hands on the product so we ordered through a store that was an hour drive from us. But, their customer service is great. The first dealer that we contacted was closer to us but they werent as willing to help us over the phone as far as measurements because we were going from an electric to a gas range. We ended up in the Silt. Their staff did all the measurements and how the gas line had to be in. He went above and beyond over the phone and worked with my husband on it. Then, they delivered, set up and tested everything. It was a good experience.

I researched on the website a while back and to me, Viking products were outpriced out, so I didn’t care for Viking at all and I was looking more into BlueStar and Wolf. But then this year I went to Best Buy and I saw the Viking range, and the customer service guy there, Cary, started telling me about it. I was looking at it and ended up buying it. And I was surprised because I never thought I was gonna have a Viking. But I love it and I’m happy with the customer service. Now the only thing is the cleaning portion of the ceramic part where I can’t get some tough stains out. And customer service doesnt have anybody that I can call and walk me through it or give me ideas. I have to look on the web, and that’s the only bad part. The baking feature of the range is great but it’s a little bit slow. If I have a cake that is a 30-minute cake, the baking time goes close to an hour. I love to bake and a pound cake is supposed to be 45 to an hour and 15 minute and Viking goes close to the two hour time. The oven turns off and it comes back on, so baking takes longer. I may be doing something wrong but I don’t press the button for a convection oven. So I’ll ask the technician when they come. The dealer in the Pacific Department at Best Buy was an excellent help and Viking Ranges is excellent. Go ahead and purchase one if you can do it.

The quality of the Viking Range is fine. However, the oven doesn’t cook evenly. It’s also very small. The square footage inside of the oven is very small compared to my old GE, in my old apartment that I loved. It’s cooking thoroughly but its not even. So, if I’m going to bake cookies, I have to turn the tray around to get the back. Moreover, the knobs to turn on the oven and the stove get very, very, very hot when the oven is on. But the door closes fine. There’s nothing wrong with the unit. But I probably wouldnt buy it again. On the other hand, I had to call and have the Viking people come out a couple of weeks ago and they were really helpful. And then, the check was even lovelier, so their customer service is great.

We have had constant ice maker issues (constant tapping noise as ice maker has always had issues with ejecting ice) and now the button that ejects the water filter is broken. We love our professional Viking stove but this product (2017, 36 French Door) sucks! Plus dealing with customer No-Service with Viking is a waste of time in my opinion!

I started my degree in design and have always been very into design, form, function and how things look. I go through all the magazines and when I saw Viking the first time, I thought I wanted those in my home. One of the main reasons I loved the Viking is because it’s very simple, the lines are very sleek, and elegant. I went to an appliance dealer in Spokane, Washington and the salesman showed me all of the appliances. Wolf is a little intense for me. Six months later, we had to hone in on what we were gonna put in the house and so we went to that dealership in Bend, Oregon. I kept bringing Viking up and the rep kept taking me away from it. He said the brand doesnt update and doesnt have anything new and fancy with their machine. But thats why I want it. I don’t want anything fancy. There’s not even a clock on my stove. First I was kind of taken aback and I thought, “Oh, I have to use my own timer.” Now that I’ve used it, it’s what I love about it. There’s none of those pieces that often have problems down the road. The temperature is very true to the dial. I have a thermostat in there and when I put it on 350 and I wait 30 minutes, it’s at 350. The refrigerator doesn’t have the water feature that a lot of refrigerators have. When I open it up, it’s incredibly bright and it’s like the heavens open up. You just see everything. I’ve noticed that I can also keep vegetables or fruits in the compartment for a longer period of time than I’ve been able to in the past. It’s interesting how many people have come in to look at the house and they’ve all made comments on Viking. It just works so well and accentuates everything else that is in this kitchen.

The quality of the service from Viking is pretty good and their reps have been great. On the very top of the refrigerator door where you put the butter, it has these little flimsy plastic doors that hang over. When you shut the refrigerator, the plastic doors open and the butter comes out. Viking could make those a little bit more stationary or stick more. I also had to have someone come because the ice maker wasnt working. But the problem was they could only come and service our house on Tuesdays and Thursdays but wed be at work. So its hard to have someone come out to service the ice maker. They were great about getting to send someone out but I had to cancel it because I thought I was going to be able to have someone here. I cant have someone here all day and then theyll call and give me a two-hour window that day.
