Viking was already the brand we had in the kitchen. The refrigerator broke, so I replaced it with the same brand. I bought it through a third-party seller and the experience was poor. The product was delivered with a manufacturer defect. The doors had to be zip-tied up because the installation is difficult if the doors are moving about. After it was installed, my husband and I realized the doors dont close. What upset me about the third-party vendor was that they said that its our problem, not theirs, and left. But Viking immediately stepped in and sent help with their repair people around town. I have had to use them on two or three occasions once again, all from the defect of original product delivery. No issues that went wrong. They have been incredibly responsive. Its a brand that stands by its quality. On the other hand, they did let a fridge that doesnt have doors that close past inspection somehow, so thats also strange. But when they realized they messed up, they fixed it. The refrigerator is not the right size and its a loud machine, but it does the job and has lots of storage.

We purchased a Series 3, 30, gas, self-cleaning range. I installed it about 3 months ago. The first thing I noticed was that the way it was attached to the pallet, caused the unit to slide forward on the pallet. The plant installed an oak rail in the top center of the pallet. The front end of this rail dented the stainless steel front skirt. Its not a bad bend but you will notice that it is no longer straight. Recently after cooking many dinners on it, you cant get a really low flame for simmering on any burner. I never had this problem with my low-end GE.I also have noticed that on occasion the back small burner will not light, and must be tried several times. The most disturbing issue is when any top burner is on, low or medium, and you open the oven door, the flame on the burner want to go out, or does go out then re-lights itself. Not good! Also after cooking on the top stove area, any drops of water that might splash out of a pot, cannot be allowed to dry, next to a hot burner, or a permanent awful looking mark will mar the cooktop. It is not removable. All of these problems should not be attached to a $5000 range.

My husband wanted a Viking Refrigerator so we bought and paid for it. Best Buy brought and installed it. But they left me with a noise as if I was standing on a runway and an airplane is operating on it. We could not turn on the TV and hear it. We had to shut off all the doors, and even then, we heard it. It was horrible. I called the dealer three times to come. They came, claimed that they fixed it, but they fixed it for two seconds and left. On the third time, I lost them completely and they wouldn’t come back to fix it so I called Best Buy and spoke to everybody there. They transferred me to the Viking office. Some lady said they can send me a repairman, but not till next week. I told her that they have to send somebody right away, but they did not. The day went by and I couldn’t get anybody because it was already evening. I called them the next morning and they finally had somebody from Viking called me. He found a third party and they came. But they left me with a wire hanging into the fan. It was when they transferred it, and that made the noise. At this point, I had a lemon because the fan was damaged. At Best Buy, even the person who sold it told me that his hands were tied and can’t do anything. The manager who came back from vacation was supposed to call me to tell me that they were exchanging the refrigerator, never called me. I had to do everything myself and went back to the store. They said I can choose something else. I chose the JennAir and I wanted to upgrade already. They said that they would come towards me, but I have to pay close to $500 more. I thought about it and calculated it. I also spoke to my son-in-law who just investigated which refrigerator was the best. He said that as long as I have to pay the difference, I might as well pay a little more and get the Sub-Zero. At the headquarters, Lionel was the only guy who was very nice. I talked to him and he called me back the next morning. He asked me what was my decision and I told him to pick the Viking ref up and take it out of here. They left me with a hole for two days and some of my food got spoiled. I got my Sub-Zero on the third day, and we are so happy we made the change. The experience with Viking was a nightmare. We were very unhappy and so aggravated. I also think that Best Buy was at fault here, and their installers. I will never buy one more item from them. But I have a Viking stove and Ive had it for more than 28 years. Ive been very happy with it.

I have a six burner double oven range. It is 6 years old and is a piece of junk---the temps are off and at Thanksgiving last year the back of the thing started on fire... Now the igniters wont stop clicking. What a mess. Viking--no help-- no interest in helping but I can get a discount on a new one. Stay away from this company. Their product is garbage.

I liked Vikings brand equity and overall integrity. The registration was easy and the quality of the range is great. The grill is great too and so is the uniformity of cooking. We love the product and were very happy with it. The entire kitchen is Viking - the microwave, dishwasher, range and refrigerator. Their functionality and style are also great. We had a small issue initially. We had a gas leak. They scheduled service which was a little further out than I wanted. Without me initiating it, they contacted another company and got them there even sooner. They were quick to send out a service tech and they rectified it. Overall, it’s a positive experience. Viking was very responsive and proactive.

The Vikings Range was already in my fourth house when I bought it in September 2015. The range, including the oven, gets hot super super fast and that concerns me because it cooks food so fast. When I scramble eggs, the estimated time is half of what it would normally take. Im concerned about burning and fires so I have to watch it. Its almost short of a microwave, and because of that it creates potential danger.

I bought a Viking 6 Burner Ranch and dishwasher. We finished the kitchen and tried to connect the ranch and dishwasher by July 2. I tried one whole week to make that dishwasher work but finally called for support. I got an service appointment 5 days later and they found out that the brand new dishwasher pump is not working. We order the parts. The installer company told me it is on back-order for 10 days. After 6 days and no news I informed viking and then the drama starts. Now I am still waiting for an exchange or part to fix my washer. There is no communication. The Veronica ** rep forward my case to a manager who has still not contact me. I have no answer since 3 weeks now and a broken new machine. This is the worst and rudest customer service I ever experienced for buying their expensive products. I cannot recommend that company at all.

We got a bunch of Viking. Also, all the fire stations in our local county government have Viking equipment in it so we stayed with them ‘cause it’s better than residential equipment. Then we had a problem with the oven and it was the left button on the stove. I called Viking, they gave us a reference number, and a company called Top Notch Appliance was supposed to come and fix it. They were supposed to call us to let us know when they were coming but they never did so we called them and they were closed for two weeks. I called Viking back a second time to see if there was somebody else and I was told it was just Top Notch for our service area. Then they called back a few days later and did a good job fixing it. Its just a matter of how long it took. Viking should have a backup company ‘cause the second time I called, the reference number was for the same small company. I asked the guy who came if he was the owner of the company. He said he was and his wife took calls. But Viking is a good range.

We like the pull out drawer for the soda and for the snacks of our Viking refrigerator because its big. But we had a lot of issues with the refrigerator that we got. We had some problems with the icemaker and with the inside of the refrigerator temperature being too cold where a lot of our food got frozen. It took about two months for the repair process to be completed from the time they came to look at it, to the time the parts came in and got installed. The icemaker’s fixed, but I’m yet to determine whether the actual inside of the refrigerator has been fixed or not. But the people from Viking have been great to work with. As far as the experience of getting the refrigerator fixed, the process was pretty seamless. But it would have been pretty nice if the parts were available in the technicians truck and ready for install.

We did a direct replacement of our Viking because when we had it put in and turn the oven on, it wouldnt work. We had to wait three weeks because the guy couldnt come. When he finally came, he had to replace the thermostat. But it was kind of a fiasco when they came to install. The gas pipe wasnt on code so we had to redo the gas pipe and they havent come back. But the technicians have been excellent to work with. The guy couldnt help that our gas line was not right. He was trying to do the best he can to get back. It was delayed a week or two weeks to get it hooked up.We have used it for months now and its been great. Its easier to clean. It looks nice to me. I like the new knobs and that they have a little light that lights that up. Thats a nice feature. Its nice to have a beautiful, clean oven, and its gas. We have the sealed burners, which makes it nice too. Ive always had a Viking for so long. Ive always liked them.

Me and my wife decided to get a Viking Range because of the build quality and simplicity. We like it better based on appearance and what our relatives told us of their experiences. However I had a bad experience with the dealer. They told me at that time I purchased that if Im not ready to put a delivery, I can have this range later. Several months later when I was ready, my dealer all of a sudden told me that they cannot deliver Viking anymore. There was some sort of disagreement and they couldnt sell Viking anymore because Viking specifically prohibited this dealer from selling their brand. I actually lost money because Viking raised the price by that time and the dealer referred me to a different dealer and promised that they will give the same price. But the new dealer couldnt provide the same price. The second dealer sold me a Viking and gave me a free warranty. Im not sure if I needed it but at least something as a compensation for a little loss. They delivered a new range. A few days after the delivery when I installed the range, I noticed when turning the handles it caused some sort of noise or feeling that something fishy is going on. So I called and they sent a repairman. The repairman took the handle off, adjusted something around it and after that it became better. The repairman also noticed that one of the screws was not original and it was quite surprising. Either Viking quality control is not correct or someone else changed the screw. I dont know how it would happen. But I rate it as minor inconveniences.

How can it be? We thought made in America, we would get great quality. What a disappointment. The kitchen was remodeled 5 years ago. This past month, we had problems with both Viking products, the Viking range VGIC3676BS and the refrigerator. We are now out of Viking warranty. The NSI insurance for these products is a nightmare to deal with - a waste of money. They give you the runaround. The Viking range oven just stopped working, we think it is the igniter. It does not matter that when you call Mississippi, they speak to you with their Southern charm, you still have an expensive appliance that simply does not work! No one cares, not at all, because it is not happening to them! The fact that we bought expensive products does not matter in todays world. Anyone recalls the days when we had an oven that lasted 30 years? We are so disgusted with Viking. We regret spending the money for something that obviously was made with planned obsolescence in mind. Wish there was a way we could warn people about this company. I would like to put signs on retailer stores, buyer beware.

We moved in our brand-new house in November around Thanksgiving and the Viking refrigerator was in it. Ive never had it working since Day One. In less than a year, I have lost everything twice in there. The ice and water dispenser have not worked and part of the problem was there was no local repairman. I went online and found the only authorized repairman in the state but he happened to be two hours away. I talked to him and he was nice enough but he was gonna charge an arm and a leg to come up here. He tried to talk me through it and gave me some instructions. Viking Professional Microwave VMOC205WH - Purchased this $1000 microwave as a Christmas gift for my wife in 2010. It replaced a 20 year old microwave (that still worked). Will not pop popcorn to this day. My wife noticed a place in back that looked like rust a couple of years ago. It has progressively gotten worse. I finally contacted Viking and told them that their stainless steel (inside) was rusting. I was given a Viking service center to contact. It had started sparking inside at rust occasionally. The tech came out and said he was not going to charge service charge because it was obviously a manufacturer defect. Stainless steel is not supposed to rust. He took photographers and turned in report to Viking. I called Viking and they said they needed photographs, to which I replied, the tech has already sent them. Approximately two months later, I received a call from tech service center (not Viking) that Viking was waiting for receipt. I contacted the store that I purchased the microwave and after much searching, found invoice and forwarded it to tech center who sent it to Viking. Their response was it was out of warranty. I had a 20 year old $200 microwave that performed well, yet this top of the line Professional unit didnt make it two years and then would not stand behind their product. Getting ready to replace stove and refrigerator. Guess which brand that will not be considered? Very disappointed. The place where I purchased unit said that Vikings service was horrible. I can certainly testify.

I like Viking Ranges look but the glass in the oven range door is loose so
I like Viking Ranges look but the glass in the oven range door is loose so whenever you clean it, it slides. And I uncovered that one of the burners is actually shaped differently than the other five. I’ve emailed Viking support about it a week or so ago and I haven’t heard back from them yet. I was really just going for the pure industrial range. With the Wolf, we didn’t like the big red handles. I know they offered us black. The Jenn-Air, I didn’t like that it had a digital clock on it. I just wanted that basic, industrial look. And that’s essentially why we ended up with the Viking. I would assume that the Wolf and the Jenn-Air probably have better features. And from what I read online, they don’t have many company issues in the past. But the look drove everything, unfortunately. Also, their dealer always had to contact the Viking sales rep but hes very slow to reply and promised things that never happened. He said he did stuff when he didn’t. It was all pushed back. Id suggest a new sales rep from Viking. From what I’ve also heard, there are not very many companies that service Viking. They were having to call a company out of Illinois, which kept saying that they were scheduled and coming and would never show. And then, they finally found Mr. Appliance based out of Indianapolis that had an employee that used to work for Viking that now works for them. So, they are indeed servicing Viking equipment now. My range is over a year old, so I don’t think I’m under any type of warranty. I did speak to a Viking rep on the phone about the burner. And I don’t know if she was saying that she was going to send somebody to put one in, or if they were just going to send me the part and I had to figure out what to do with it from there. So, I’m not really sure how all that works. I’d probably need to read that warranty a little bit longer. I know there’s a five-year on different types of parts and a one year on something else. So, hopefully, that’s obviously covered since it’s a manufacturers defect that they put the wrong burner on. The burner cap has little legs on the side of it. The burner is rounded at the top. It doesn’t have a lid like all the other five so the cap doesn’t stay put. You’re not really ever touching it, but whenever you pull it off to clean it, you just to have to position it where it sits. I love the way that they look but they were just a lot of trouble.

The ice dispenser freezes-up and will not rotate to dispense the ice. We were building a home three years ago, and I looked up about Viking, Wolf and other ranges and decided to get a Viking. I thought it was a top-of-the-line product and I liked the sleek look of it compared to Wolf. Im now on my second Viking since the one that was initially put into my home did not heat properly and it did not cook right since the day it was installed. So eventually, the door wouldnt close completely and that was under some recall type of thing. Viking ended up replacing the entire unit. However, there is only one repair service here in Columbus that deals with Viking as far as I know. I keep being told thats because Viking is either charging too much money and/or wont supply the parts and I would love to see some more competition rather than just one repair service that I have to call and pay their prices to repair a Viking product. I have a lot of friends that have Viking, and we all have to use the same people to repair the products.

We bought a Viking Refrigerator on 20th of September. And then, we heard some grinding noise from the compressor. We had a previous refrigerator that failed and it’s giving the same sound. Also, when we got the refrigerator, there was a ding on the top of the door and the people who sold it to us said they’re going to get a replacement door and a replacement shelf that was cracked inside the door. They haven’t done anything yet, and it’s a little bit frustrating spending $3,500 on a refrigerator and then you have to deal with the people who sold it to us, who said they will just bring another one. They didnt even adjust the doors, so the doors arent realigned. In October, I called the main Viking office because I wasn’t getting anywhere with the local dealer. However, it was super hectic during the holidays so I haven’t had time to call back Viking and find out what happened after they took all of our information. We’re supposedly going to send it to someone so they could call us because nothing came up in the system right away for our location. They had to search for someone to service it or come check the unit, and so I just wanted someone to come and replace it because even though we love the fridge, there are so many problems in just within two weeks of having it. Overall, I would definitely tell my friends not to buy from the people who we bought the fridge from. And while the lady that I spoke to from Vikings was helpful, there were no follow-ups once she referred it to whatever area she referred it to.

I was told even the new control knobs are that inaccurate. The ice dispenser on the built-in side-by-side fridge dispenses ice to the floor almost every time it is used. I have to post instructions for use on the fridge when we are entertaining. The plastic pull-out ice drawer broke after the 4th year. The automatic ice maker stopped working completely in the 11th year and it took over a year to diagnose, get parts and repair the problem. Parts took 9 months to get. One positive, the meat drawer keeps the meat unbelievably fresh for extended amounts of time. No children here so the wear and tear is very minimal. I will never purchase another Viking product.

Purchased 2 Viking ovens in 2012, stopped work properly in about 10 months. Called Viking for service, found out Viking only warranty is for 6 months. Had a repair person come out, he said the parts would be around $500.00 for each main control boards to fix the problem. Tried using only the convection functions to do most of baking for several years. I did this only because I did not want to spend an additional $1,000. on these damn ovens. Now, the convection is out, called back repair, when everything is completely fixed on both ovens, we are looking at $1,600.00. I think Viking is truly an awful brand, they do not stand behind their products and part are expensive. Buyer beware!

I bought a Viking refrigerator due to the warranty on it. It works fine and I like its aesthetic features. However, I dont like the filters since they need to be replaced more often than I would like. Also, I made superficial dents in the bottom freezer drawer. It’s not noticeable, but I have to replace that single front panel so that I could get rid of it. The panel costs $1,650, which is more than half the cost of the entire refrigerator. Viking uses an outside manufacturer for that piece, and they’re ripping anybody who needs to replace that because they figured they need it. Its absolutely absurd and highly annoying that it’d cost that much money to fix the little dent.

Ive had my Viking range for four weeks and I absolutely love it. When I turn on the knobs, it’s very precise. It doesnt have any play in it, especially the oven, so when I set a temperature, I’m confident that that’s the temperature. I like how it’s raised up on the bottom so that I can get a Swiffer and clean up under there instead of just the dust building up. The range has been fabulous and I’m really happy with it. When I called the first time trying to get my Viking appliances registered, their reps were really helpful and told me where to look.

We bought a home that was completely renovated three and a half years ago and the decorator and contractor chose all Viking appliances for the home. We have a wine refrigerator, regular refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, wall oven, range with a small oven, big oven, hood and stovetop. We have had a couple of issues with the big refrigerator we have. The first time, the meat or vegetable drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator section froze and ruined the vegetables, and we had someone out a couple of times to look at it. Finally, they said there was nothing they could do to fix it, so we increased the temperature for the overall refrigerator. It’s keeping the vegetables from freezing but the refrigerator is not at the suggested temperature. Also, the hinge on the bottom right of the refrigerator has gone bad and the door squeaks when it opens and closes. But I like having separate drawers. It’s a great idea as long as it works the way it’s supposed to. Over the past week, we spoke with a gal named Veronica in customer service and she was great. We would have been normally forwarded to the warranty department but they were closed, so Veronica took the initiative to go to her supervisor and we were well-taken care of. That’s why we would buy another Viking appliance. I didn’t think the squeaking would be a big deal to fix but they have to put a whole new hinge and it costs $800. Viking is coming to fix it and they’ve been great about it ‘cause we’re just outside the warranty time. Everybody at Viking has been very good so I don’t mind if things go wrong if the company takes care of it. They haven’t come to fix the refrigerator yet, but Viking is doing a great job at taking care of the customer and that’s the most important.

My wife got a superb deal on the Viking range that we bought. It was an open box-deal and we got it for less than half the normal price. Also, I like the shape, it looks good and it goes with the industrial look that we wanted to put in out kitchen. And the reps answered the questions I had and gave me the answers I was looking for. But there are some things that I would have changed on the range if Ive known it, but we did not have much choice when we bought this thing. For example, its difficult to tell when the oven has reached a certain temperature. Theres a little blue light but it goes on and off anyway. So were going to have to invest in another thermometer so we know whats the right temperature. But Im satisfied with what the range does. Its a good product and it has a good reputation.

I bought 1st one mid Year 2015, the panel buttons caved in, rendering the microwave unusable, at 18 months. Purchase a second identical microwave July 2018.Second microwave had no updraft of exhaust, tons of exhaust flow from the top, repairman couldn’t determine where exhaust was coming from. Magnetron did not operate properly microwave, sounded as if motor was straining, lagging and power was not even. Excessive condensation built up inside door. Viking replaced microwave instead of trying to fix it. It took about a month to get replacement. I received a call at 445 that installer was Enroute and should be here by 6pm same day.Last night I got the 3rd otr microwave, in 3 years. Mentioned that updraft exhaust was not good, microwave #1 had excellent exhaust (updraft). Was told by installer that these don’t really operate that well. Probably the most honest thing I’ve heard. Love my Viking range. Hate the microwave, wouldn’t buy another Viking microwave, yes I realize 80% are made by Sharp. Would look to another brand.

When we were trying to buy our house, we saw it came together with Viking products. A lot of people will buy it, so they installed the Viking products for us and they have high quality, but theyre not as good as we thought. The inside space of the refrigerator is okay. It has a special space for the drinks and that’s a good thing, but the refrigerator started having problems after half a year the house was built. The part started peeling off and we havent touched it a lot. After the person came here to fix the upper door and replace it for me, the lower door also had the same problems. I called them to two months ago and they havent sent anyone to fix it. The salesperson is the contact person if I need to contact another department to have the appointment with me to fix the refrigerator and do the next step, but the department never contacted me again and I can’t contact them directly to let them do it quickly. Also, I need to call them several times if I have problems with a Viking product.

I heard about Viking Ranges online and from friends that had it. I liked the name, the look and the feel. There’s a lot of good parts, and as far as the performance, the heating elements of it, especially the oven, its very good. It heats up really fast and I really like the feature. However, the main issue I have with the range I bought is the door being so heavy. It has different panels and then those panels are latched to each other. I’ve been having issues with the door not latching all the way because it’s so heavy that it’s coming apart. And since the door doesn’t close all the way, now the heat is escaping. I had a technician come out here twice already who tried to repair that and rescue that back in there, but now it’s the same issue happening. They won’t replace the door. I’ve called everywhere and nobody gave me a satisfactory solution. At first I called from the retailer I bought it from. It was right at the end of the warranty period. So the first time they came out here, it was still under warranty. They repaired it and no charge. And then, six to eight months later the same thing happened again and the guy came out here again. So, he wrote it up and apparently they didn’t want to replace the door. They just repaired it. So, we’re having the same problem. And then I tried to call Viking directly and then I had under the warranty extended warranty go to waste. If you pay a lot for something you have high expectation and high quality, but it doesn’t seem like it. And then we call and don’t get the resolution that we expected. For that reason, I would never buy a Viking again.

I like the reputation of Viking. I purchased a refrigerator-freezer from them but then it came without the leveling package at the bottom. Furthermore, it doesnt make ice and it makes a weird “boing” noise when I open the freezer door. Also, the door on the freezer got scratched when the men came to put my cabinets in. That’s being replaced under the 90-day cosmetic warranty. But in the meantime, I asked them to put the grill on the front of the refrigerator down at the bottom. However, the guy who was installing the cabinet said that he couldnt because my leveling package isnt there. Their techs are coming out to put it in, and that’s gonna be quite an ordeal ‘cause it’s gonna take three men to stand it on its side and put it the leveling package. Also, Im not happy with this issue because I’m gonna have to sign a waiver telling them I won’t sue them if my floor gets damaged.Furthermore, the people who are dealing with the warranty issue regarding the door and the leveling package kept asking me who delivered my refrigerator. So, the people who delivered it to me knew that the leveling package wasnt there and didnt say a word to me. I wouldnt have known had I not had cabinets built around the refrigerator. Nevertheless, the refrigerator-freezer works very well, except with not making ice.

We had Viking range many years ago in our other home. We purchased again and when I got the oven, three months later, it stopped working. So I called the distributor that I bought it from and they contacted Viking and got the approval for warranty repair. Then they had a local service company contact me to take care of the problem. The contractors were fine. The issue with the Viking oven is that the hinges were either the wrong hinges or installed improperly. The oven did not close and stay closed. So during baking, it would overheat and a safety feature would kick in and turn the oven off. It was disappointing to have an oven that we had thought was really a good product, come and basically stop working, not being usable within three months. The service repairman replaced two parts that he thought were temperature-related. But it turned out that it was the door not staying closed that was causing the oven to malfunction. Its working fine now that the door stays closed. I like the range itself now that it works.

I like that Viking has a gas range and its large enough for the six burners that I have. I knew about them through word of mouth and after looking online at different options, I chose to buy from them due to brand recognition and the more commercial look of their ranges. When I called Viking, their reps were very helpful, easy to deal with, and immediately helped me register my range so I could get the process started in the repair that I needed. I’ve had a couple of issues but they’ve been addressed through the warranty. They referred me to a local appliance repair company and theyve been responsive. It took a few weeks to fix the issues and there was a back-and-forth on getting the right parts in, but there had been no extraordinary delays. Currently, there’s still one remaining item for repair and they’re ordering a separate part for that.

The Viking range was not what I was expecting. It had two problems with it in less than 30 days. In fact, when it was installed, it was not working properly. So, it was shipped out of the factory broken. There were three service visits already, and it’s still not fixed. They keep ordering the wrong part and their people don’t seem to know what they’re doing. They also gave me very limited time that they were willing to come. They told me they could only come on Tuesdays. So, I would have to pick a Tuesday to be there. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Dana is the cook in the family and he’s done lots of research on the Viking company. We also visited many stores and tried many models. This is his second stove. He originally had the 36-inch that was black with brass trim all over it and that’s what he really wanted to get this time. The oven enameling of the first range flaked off, so they had to replace it for us. The dealer was great and customer service has been very good.He really likes that there’s a smaller oven where we don’t have to heat up a great big oven to cook. He uses the griddle a lot and likes the speed that they cook at because of the high heat. He also likes the grill, the dual fuel and the six burners. It’s an impressive piece of machine and the quality of the stove itself is superior. The one thing I know that we both miss is that Viking has taken the clock off of the face of the stove. There’s no time at all, which we relied on for our time in our kitchen. But Danas very pleased with the stove. It has many features that I know he likes to use and we’re very impressed. It’s a Cadillac sitting in our kitchen.

Our Viking Range is wonderful. We purchased it from Eastbank, and the people there were very good in terms of the installation and explaining all the features so that we can make an informed decision. I like the ease of cleaning it. When something bubbles or spills over the cooktop, its easy to clean it. There arent a lot of grooves where food can get stuck in. The only downside is that the oven has two knobs. One of them turns the oven and the other is for the temperature. Its a little counter-intuitive and not easy to see. Being empty nesters, and retired we rarely use your oven, except for when company comes. So even though it was past the warranty, plus we had a problem at the beginning with the settings of the range, we believe this range is a lemon. They say because we didnt have complaints earlier, its not. Customer service was horrible! Our oven stopped working during roasting our prime ribs, we had to ask neighbors to finish the prime rib and barbecue the other one; the hot dishes that were going to go into the oven after the prime rib was done had to go to other neighbors house. We would call customer service and ask them to return our call, but they never did. So we had to call over and over again. That meal was at Thanksgiving time and we still dont have it repaired yet, and they called saying the part hasnt come in so theyre canceling tomorrows appointment! Right during the holiday season when we like to do a lot of Christmas baking! So its ruining our Thanksgiving and Christmas! Thanks a lot Viking! Learn from us, and our experience: never buy a Viking!

In the year 2000 my husband and I bought a home and shortly after began an extensive and costly kitchen remodel. We spared no expense and believing we were buying the best, we bought a Viking refrigerator. In hindsight, it was our worst decision. Almost from the very beginning we began having problems. The ice maker stopped working, the door accessories and drawers began to crack to the point that one of the condiment containers has a huge hole on the bottom rendering it totally unusable. Certainly not the quality youd expect from such expensive appliances. When food started spoiling we knew we had a big problem and called Viking for help. By then, of course, warranty had expired but they recommended a local service company. By the third visit with no resolution we knew we were dealing with an incompetent repairman and my husband, at this point beyond frustrated, practically threw him out of our home. We never got any satisfaction from Viking. And its incomprehensible to me that after spending thousands of $$$ on a beautiful, state-of-the-art refrigerator I am forced to make ice in plastic ice cube trays and keeping milk, cheese, cold cuts and veggies in my old GE in the basement because the temp is never cold enough no matter how we adjust the settings. Last night I opened the door to put something away and felt warm air. The Viking finally conked out. So, this morning my husband and I are debating who to call. And as I google Viking, I came across your reviews and, can I say, I am shocked by the hundreds of negative stories I have spent over 2 hours reading, stories so similar to mine. So now I dont know what to do. Do I dare spend possibly $1,500-2,000 in repairs which may or may not fix the problem or do I ditch the Viking and take the loss? One of our dilemma is that our kitchen was totally custom therefore the Viking is tightly wall mounted with molding and trim all around. Would I be able to find a non-Viking refrigerator that would fit the same dimensions? I am so angry. This is certainly not what one would expect from a company like Viking. I am open to join a class action suit.

The unit I purchased had a dent in the front door and I got it for a discount at Lowes. It was a really good price. A year later, it has stopped cooling. Lowes told me when I bought it that even though it was cosmetically damaged, itd be under factory warranty. Viking sent a repairman out because they acknowledged the warranty. When they were at my house, they said, It was damaged in shipping and you have to call Lowes.” So I called the warranty company and they said “You bought it on sale from Lowes. Therefore, it’s as is.” Then I said, “I wouldnt have bought the refrigerator for $6,000 if I thought it was not under warranty.” So they said, “You’re beat.” And Lowe’s said, “You’re beat ‘cause you bought it at a discount.” So I had to buy a Sub-Zero. Neither company helped me. Needless to say, I don’t have confidence in either Lowes or Viking. I wasted $6,000 in one year. I lost the $6,000 and then I paid $12,000 for the Sub-Zero. So, I paid $18,000 really for the fridge. I tried to fight it, and I tried to argue with them, and tried to ask everybody that I could for help. Viking doesnt stand behind their product and they wont help you through a crisis.

I have Viking refrigerator (48 by 84) with a diagnostic of internal leak made by authorized expert. Non-repairable. Still under the warranty (12 years sealed system). Viking Service Manager at the distribution center received the experts report on August 29, 2013, but ignored it. After I contacted them on September 23, 2013, they started to interpret the warranty in different ways. Also told me to contact Viking customer service by the phone. I stay without a fridge till now. I had a meeting with the Service Manager. He apologized for the delay (about a month!) and asked to wait again. To show his work he provided me with the email sent by him to the Regional Service Manager and the reply. General idea - lets make her go back and forth while we get Viking on the same page. We bought a home with an Italian Fhiaba refrigerator. We had a lot of problems with it and we had to replace it. It cannot be repaired and we only had a certain amount of money that the manufacturer had given us to purchase another refrigerator. The Viking was on sale and thats why I purchased it. It was not my first choice though. The drawers for produce, meats and cheese storage bins are so cheap and I was shocked at the interior for a Viking product. I was sad to lose my Italian refrigerator which was well-made and had beautiful interiors. I would not have bought the Viking refrigerator but it was at the right price, so I ended up with it. But would I buy another one? Absolutely not. We purchased a completely renovated home, and all the appliances were Vikings. The six-burner gas stove and the microwave are all okay, and they work great. But I would not recommend the refrigerator. When I knew I had to replace my previous refrigerator, I went onto several websites to read reviews, and very few of them were good. But my husband wasnt going to spend more money because we bought a house with a $10,000 refrigerator that ended up not working after two years. Even the plastic inside of a Sears Kenmore refrigerator is better. Viking has these soft close drawers for cheese and veggies, which are awful. I have to treat them with kid gloves, because Im afraid theyre going to break on me at any given moment. The company that owns Viking make commercial grade refrigerators and U-Line is one of their products. Its an amazing refrigerator. Why dont they use some of the same materials? Viking has been synonymous with high-end quality. But they really fell short on this one. Looks good on the outside, poor quality on the inside.

When we moved into this house, it already had Viking appliances in it and nothing else would fit. The lady who lived in this house before told me not to get Viking products, but we had to go with Viking and we were stuck with them because of the way that the house was designed. With Viking per se, there has been no problem with the quality of their products and the way that weve been treated, but our experience with the distributor has not been good. Our experience with the whole process of getting the specific appliances that we needed and getting them installed has been anything but good. We got all the products that we purchased, except one. Although it has been a few months since we made our purchase, we are still waiting for one of the products to be shipped. We were told by Milcarskys Appliance Centre that we were going to get the exhaust fan that would be put above the range and this was approved by the Viking vice president for this region. But whenever we called Milcarskys, they were always telling us that they were still waiting for the mounting bracket and I don’t know how long that would take. So, our experience with the delivery was not good.It also took us an extreme amount of time to get our Viking refrigerator installed and it was a very difficult installation. Then, after the installation, we had to make a service call because the fan in the freezer was not working and there was a lot of water collecting. The people who installed the ref didn’t know how to put it in and if we had not made that service call, something would have happened to the freezer. Nevertheless, our Viking appliances have been working well so far, but theyre very new and it’s too soon to tell if they will last.

Our Viking range came with my new kitchen. It is a beautiful piece of architecture, and I love its high quality. I like the dual nature of it. Its an electric range gas top. I love how it looks and feels. We had a service call on it, though. Periodically and almost in a random way, the settings for the oven were not matching what it was doing. So we’d put it on bake at 425 and it would bake at 200 or something. And every once in while, it would switch into the cleaning mode and lock itself up and get really hot even though it was set on bake or whatever. It was totally weird. It locked us out once, and it didn’t cook while we had food in it.

3 years ago my stove top exploded (a sealed burner unit) in my nannys face; singed her hair and eyebrows. Luckily the pot of boiling water did not go up in the air (the gas tubes held one side of the stove top in place). After repeated calls to the dealer, distributor and CEOs office I was told that since the unit was 2 months out of warranty it was not their problem. Amazing. Now I have 2 30 ovens that are about 7 y/o and they beep all day and night. However, they dont make (or repair) the electronics panel parts anymore. So again out of luck and need to pay $6,000 for the ovens to be replaced.Today I get the call that my $8,000 wine cooler, about 5 years old, needs new evaporators and it is $3 to 4,000 to repair. What a horrible company and product line. You pay full price for high end products and you get junk with a company that does not stand by its appliances. Stay far far away from Viking. I will gladly find the picture of the stove top if anyone wants to see.

We saw the Viking range at Ferguson and there was a cardboard on display when we bought it that said that there was a temperature probe but Viking has discontinued that and didn’t think it was a good idea to update their literature. Even on the literature with the new unit that we got, it was still mentioning that same thing but we can’t use it because there’s no connection for it. And that is not acceptable. We bought the unit because we wanna have something that we could check the temperature of what’s cooking in the oven with and now we don’t have anything. I’ve asked them to get back on me and the representative for the area here hasn’t yet. I need to have a way to get temperatures inside the oven and I was expecting to have what I paid for or what was on the information that was on the oven. Then, we had a unit that was defective when we got it so we got that returned. The new unit seems to function better. When we’re cooking, it has enough power, which is good. We like the 23,000 BTU burners. The center, when we can get it enough to click on most of the burners, is good and that works well. The broil works really well in the oven but the bake doesn’t work really well. And the convection seems to be working okay, although we haven’t figured out the differences yet of the true con and the regular con.But we are still having issues with the burners, which click at low intensity when you have a hot pan and so on. The response I got from one tech was that the gas pressure was not okay, which is not true, and it is not due to the pressure line. I talked about it with the person that came in and installed the line. We put a new pressure regulator and so on because of the new line that we had to build in for this and that is working fine. We’re also having issues with the bake mode where the top element seems to be heating way too much than what would be expected. We can’t put anything on the top or close the top shelves because otherwise, everything burns on bake where we don’t mean to use convection. We were hoping that there would be an adjustment that can decrease the temperature on the top element on the bake. No one came back to us on that. We’re still waiting for these things. Also, when we got the unit, the convection fan was loosened during transportation. When we started the convection, the convection would rattle like its helix was touching metal or whatever. The tech took the housing off and tightened up the convection fan screws. That took care of that and it hasn’t happened since the technician came. The unit is beautiful when you buy it but as soon as we start using it, the copper pots of the burners are extremely difficult to clean. As soon as something falls on it, it kinda stains. We’ve tried all the tricks that they have in their manual including the ammonia and some salt but that still leaves stains. Also, the base of the burners is already coming off after we cleaned them three times and that also was a big disappointment. The choice of the material to cover this is probably not the best. We bought this semi-commercial unit because we cook a lot and the durability is not what I expected for $12,000. The people that we bought it at advised us against buying it because of the issue that they had. And we went away and bought it because we figured Viking has been trying to face these problems for some years and they must have seen the problems. But they clearly haven’t.

I love the stove. It cooks fast. The quality is good and Viking has always been good. But the ordering process was a disastrous nightmare. Viking should not ever let Best Buy sell their products again. I totally understand that there’s a shortage of product and people to build product. But Best Buy ordered it for me, initially, then they canceled the order, then they triple billed me. I was paying $18,000 for the stove at one point. Then, come to find out, it sat in their warehouse for two months. Then they shipped it and brought it, but they brought the wrong one. They ordered a propane stove instead of a gas stove. I had to pay somebody to come in and put the conversion kit in. It was disaster after disaster after disaster.

I was very familiar with The Viking Commercial Ranges and when I remodeled my kitchen I decided to go with the Viking and expected to get same quality product. I have owned it now for 3 years and been sorry about my decision ever since. The oven doesnt have a temperature display and you never know what the temperature is. The controls are mechanical and connected to a electronically controlled board that fails after short use. The oven does not retain temperature and takes extremely long time to heat up. The cooking time is much too complicated for normal use and even the clock and timer are no simple task. To top it all, it is price at double the price of a Kitchenaid or a GE that do a much better job. I would stay away from Viking, save some money the agony.

My daughter got a KitchenAid but I don’t like it at all because when you close one door, the other one doesn’t close all the way or it stays open or you have to open both of them. Every time I go over to my daughter, I try to clean her refrigerator and five minutes later, the fingerprints are right there back again. It just really annoys me. Im kind of a brand name person and Viking means something that’s classy. I like the look and style of it. I like the weight and the handles were strong. All my appliances are very personal and I have to like the way they feel.Everything has been good with my fridge but I havent quite figured out how to work the panel on the door as far as changing the temperature and I havent really investigated it as far as the manual goes. But it stays cold. I like that it doesn’t show a lot of fingerprints.I do use a cleaner on it, but it stays on it. It keeps the fridge looking good for quite awhile. When we ordered it, it had the other grill on the bottom of it but when they delivered it it had the solid tray on the bottom. I think it was new change but I like it. Also I do like the separate compartments in the freezer. Theres a couple of shallow ones and the bigger one on the bottom.I love my Viking refrigerator. I would get another one. Some people think youre going to get Viking just because of the name but I did try to have an open mind when I went to purchase my refrigerator and checked out another one. Maybe I did buy it because it says Viking on it. Im going to have the fridge for a long time, so I might as well get the one I like.

I chose Viking for their reputation, the quality and the design but I didn’t have a time to go in to make the purchase so I did everything over the phone and it was great. Ive had the Viking range for about a year and a half now and its great. It was a little pricey but if its something you really want and you believe that youre gonna use all the time, its definitely a good investment. One of the springs on mine was a little faulty but I dont think it affected the quality. I just wish that the warranty was more user-friendly, in that they would contact you to update their warranty. I didn’t know that I wasn’t registered under warranty so after I had to get it serviced. That aside, I like the convection action. It circulates the heat and allows me to check on it.

I was all the way around looking at different places and I ended up buying the Viking fridge through the kitchen design place that I used. One thing that was attractive was the breakdown in price when I bought four appliances. I like the quality of the Viking fridge. It does the job well and I like the design. However, when the ice maker is in ice making mode, the arm is down and the drawer is full, then I open the drawer, a whole bunch of ice gets pushed out to the back and on to the floor. When I slide out the drawer, the arm takes some ice cube with it. Theres gotta be something that wasnt done quite the way it should be because I always have to put the ice maker arm up when I can see its getting full. Its not really engineered very well there and I wish that was a little different. But I like the way it looks and the way it feels sturdy when I use it.

My Viking Range was in the home when I bought it. The stove is fantastic except when you need something repaired, it takes them forever. The handle fell off so the whole door had to be replaced. The stove was under warranty and Viking responded quickly but it was hard to get the repairs done. My electric door is on backorder and when I asked them about how long the backorder was gonna be, no one could tell me anything. It was a breakdown in communication and they won’t give me the actual number of the Viking warehouse. I can call Viking customer service but I cannot get Viking warehouse to find out where they were gonna ship or when I could expect to get it. That has been going on for three to four weeks and it’s way too long for the price that I pay for. I cook every day and I love the way the range cooks but it’s all a racket because the stuff should not even be falling apart like this. I couldn’t even use my oven. I can use the stove but I can’t risk making the door work because the glass may actually fall. I knew about Viking before I moved into my home. It is a good brand but it’s way too expensive what I happen to go through for repairs. I also have a Viking refrigerator and the handle came off. They said they would have to replace the whole door for $500 and that part was no longer under warranty. So we Gorilla glued the handle back on and it was pretty good. Viking does what they’re supposed to do but when I need a repair, it’s awful.

I purchased my Viking side by side built in refrigerator in 2011... I have had ongoing problems... The dealer sent out a technician with a list of problems we were having... Water freezing within the door to dispenser, rattle within the grille, door hinge catches and pings when opened and closed. After a couple of times with dealer technician, they sent me to a local authorized Viking repair business. Numerous technicians were sent out to work on previous problems and then we started adding additional problems... The back wall piece that ice tray connected to came loose, and again no ice or water dispensing. Auger motor broke. As to date, 2014 I am still contacting technicians to repair my frig. I just contacted Viking direct and wanted to know what can be done! She apologized and apologized and yet said that Viking will not take any steps to review and/or replace my messed up refrigerator... I was so displeased. The Viking appliances are high-end and I paid quite a nice ticket price for a kitchen full of Vikings... And being American made, which is why we chose Viking. We thought they would be a service quality company. Not the case in my experience. I would not recommend Viking appliances.

We completely renovated our kitchen with new cabinets, marble counters, and all Viking Pro stainless steel built in appliances with the sole exception being the Bosch dishwasher. In the 10 years since we purchased the appliances, we have had repeated problems, year after year, with the double ovens (VED0127SS), microwave (VMOR205SS), nat. gas cooktop (VGSU1626BSS), cooktop downdraft (VIPR161SS), and refrigerator (VCSB423DSS). We paid $19,115 for what we thought were the top of the line appliances. Their service providers do not help much, and their customer service is terrible and useless. In hindsight, we should have kept our GE Profile appliances that came with the original home purchase and had no problems. Viking claims to have very satisfied customers but I have not encountered one. I will go out of my way to not recommend Viking appliances to all including my enemies.

I knew a couple of people who have Viking Ranges and they spoke highly of them. Viking also has a reputation that they stand behind their product and their ranges are very good at heating. However, I had a big issue when I first purchased the stove. I bought it from a store and they shipped it to the wrong place. They said that Viking had some issue then they said someone else had some issue. I was supposed to get it in November but I ended up getting it in January. I finally just called Best Buy and said I’m cancelling the order, then I placed a second order through AJ Madison which delivered it on time.I got the one with six open burners that deliver equivalent heat. So far, the stove has been great but I had two issues before with the stove. First, the oven conked out on me. I called Viking then the warranty people came over, looked at the oven, and fixed the spark igniter that was not working. The second issue was the ventilation hood and for whatever reason, the switch on it stopped working. So, the techs had to come in with a switch part. That took a little longer, though, since they said that they’re usually slow to get parts from Viking. I called them on a Monday and they were supposed to come on a Friday, but they said that they were two weeks out, so I waited a little bit. Both issues have been taken care of and Ive been very pleased with Viking.

When we were redoing the kitchen and updating everything, we wanted to check out all of Vikings appliances. The team at the Viking dealer was very helpful and accommodating. We found a great bundle wherein if we got the refrigerator and the range, we would get a dishwasher that was deeply discounted or free. Since getting our Viking Refrigerator, Ive liked the control panel where I can separate my temperatures. However, there was a piece that wasnt allowing the bottom drawer to close. Within a day of calling to schedule the repair, someone was out to look at the refrigerator but then the part took over a month. Their guy came this morning and was repairing the piece. He said that the piece was not even necessary and it was a piece that could create the same problem later on. It feels like theres some flaw in that design. Nevertheless, the refrigerator is amazing and were happy.

When selecting our refrigerator, we went on Vikings reputation. Also, my husbands in interior design and that was also part of the reason why we chose Viking as opposed to a GE product, which we have at another house. However, we are a little disappointed with Viking. We’ve had the refrigerator for less than a year and all this stuff started happening right around a month’s time. We were having problems with the ice maker and when I called Viking repair service, they put in a service call. Somebody came out but didn’t really do anything other than change the ice maker. He said that it should be working within 24 hours but it still is not. They came for a second service call after that. The contractors follow-up was not up to what I think Viking would expect from their name though. Ive had to follow up twice with the service repair people to find out what was going on with my refrigerator. They have been telling me that they needed to order another ice maker and a different part but based on the recent weather in the Southeast, it was being delayed. There are also other things that I have to have the repair person look at. We have a bottom refrigerator and the door clicks every time we hold the door open. Other than that, I had received a part that is supposed to be on one of the doors so that you can have butter or whatever else you want to use in a climate-controlled environment. But it doesn’t fit in there and nobody that I’ve called at Viking has been able to give me an answer on how to have it fit. But other than that, we like the refrigerator, me probably more so than my husband.

Viking had been recommended by several people including our son and daughter-in-law who had one for a long time. The range we received over two years ago turned out to be just froth with a series of problems and we had various Viking repair out there. We received a factory replacement about two months ago and theres been one little igniter issue. But that was fixed and were back on board again. If it wasnt for the repairmen who knew our problem, we still wouldnt have one. We would have thrown it away. It was terrible. We just plainly could not continue with a device that was so unpredictable. The oven knobs got incredibly hot and the fan was really noisy. And it repeatedly would shut itself off. I would never buy a Viking stove again. And the one we have now is working much better. It shut itself off, but it was the igniter and the repairman fixed it. But the knobs dont get hot and the fan is extremely quiet. And thats so much nicer than we the one we had that was extremely noisy which almost shake the house.Viking made some changes with their service and repair facility and model. They went to an outside supplier that made multiple visits but had no knowledge of Viking as far as training. But when we finally got to the Viking employee that takes care of the State of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska, he has been great. If it wasnt for him, we probably wouldnt have that stove anymore. We went through a lot and there was not a lot of support from Viking. I started keeping a log on Microsoft Word and its now over eight pages. And of all the various different calls, their replies, the kept emails that are incredible. But anyway, its just been a long journey. We purchased a Viking Gas Range this summer for our kitchen renovation. We were excited about our purchase as we had saved up for this particular gas range. After install, we have been less than impressed. When preheating, the gas oven makes a very loud bang! (As if metal is expanding inside.) It scares me every time I hear it, even though I know its coming. We also smell a very strong smell of gas or exhaust when the gas oven is on.My concern is that the loud bang and smell of gas/exhaust should not be present in an appliance that is so expensive. We expected higher quality when we made this purchase. Ive tried calling customer service and entering a claim on the website (which seems to be permanently down and unable to accept claims online). I looked online for reviews and did more of my research outside of the dealer store. The refrigerator that I got from Viking is good. I like it a lot, especially the lighting. However, there are two things that I dont like about it. One is that I wish I had filtered water. The second one is that when you use the ice tray in the automatic ice feature, the little bars that measure whether its full or not usually catch the ice, and then the ice falls back into the freezer and you cant shut the freezer. So then you have to fish up some of the ice. But its hard to get back there because you have to get down on your hands and knees and slide the big tray out. Otherwise, the ref is working well.

This pertains to Viking microwave RDMOR200SST over the range unit. Purchased 12/12/13, installed 12/26/13, broken 1/18/14, lasted less than a month. Being in the HVAC field, Im very familiar with many brands, reputable and not so reputable. I recently read a tech article about Vikings new owner (CEO) and it seemed very promising. Boy was I wrong and he has a quality control/customer service nightmare on his hands. I have dealt with many companies in the field and this is without a doubt the worst. $650.00 microwave and the micro switches I found in this unit I would not have used in my daughters $5 toy. Youre probably saying, Why did you fix this yourself, you voided the warranty. Have you ever seen some of these morons they call appliance repairmen? Believe me, I have and I wouldnt trust 95% of them. Problem - wife shut the door and the micro circuit tripped, reset, breaker held but the micro was dead. Dissembled (only takes 2 minutes) and noticed 4 micro switches mounted on a cheap plastic rack, one of the switches the plunger was stuck in the down position. Upon inspection, the contact of the switch was welded together. These switches are rated at 16 amps, there is absolutely no way this switch holds 16 amps, no way. This is a fire hazard and a design defect. I removed all four switches and replaced with Ormon micro switches and NO THEY ARE NOT MADE IN CHINA , they are made in Japan. If I would have had warranty service tech perform this, they would have used the same cheap factory switches and the problem would have been reoccurring and caused more damage to the unit. For all of you do-it-yourselfers out there, change all of these switches out with quality ones. This will solve the majority of your issues with this unit.

I got a whole kitchen package two years ago. Ive had some things break on them but every time Ive called, Ive had great customer service under the warranty in getting items replaced. So, its never been the issue. My husband and I put houses for a living and we decided to put Viking in one of our high end properties that we do. When we went to the International Builders Show, we stumbled upon the owner who was speaking at the first day to a group of people and were intrigued by his speech. So, we decided to solicit the package about trying to improve the quality of the product. Viking is comparable to Wolf but Wolf is still slightly ahead as far as quality. I have a 60-inch range, refrigerator, dishwasher and hood and theyre all Viking. I like the griddle in the range but I hate the indoor barbecue. I wish I had the double griddle. I feel lucky, I think ours have been done only twice and then now, so 3 times in 10 years. Our oven hasnt been in working order for about 4 months while in my very limited spare time, I tried to figure out what ignitors will work, and be as good as the genuine Viking ignitors. My husband will soon be attempting to make the repair when the cheaper, similar Maytag ignitors arrive. He is so mad about the ignitor situation that he wouldnt allow us to call for the oh so expensive repairman to fix them. As he was assessing the ignitors/why the oven wasnt heating again, he took out the bottom pan of the oven and it fell apart into 2 pieces, with some partially melted insulation in between the two pieces of metal. Viking insists we need to buy a new bottom pan rather than my husband simply repairing that. It is $281. I will now be frantically try to find some of that insulation so my husband can spot weld the pan back together. Its weird stuff. I might try a fireplace shop. Thanksgiving dinner may be pretty sad this year. I would think for a $5,000 appliance that the manufacturer could help out their consumers.Yes, we could afford the expensive repair if we had to, but we spent that ridiculous amount of money on the Viking, that its a matter of principle. It should work for that amount of money. When we did our do-it-yourself major kitchen remodel in 2003 the Viking was the gem to us. Stainless steel with Brass accents. Most all of the finish on the brass accents has deteriorated from, well I dont know, heat or cleaning supplies, I guess. That part may be a poor choice on my part. I know the salesman did mention that, but it really was pretty at first. We still have the 1950s Magic Chef stove that came with our home in the basemen. I guess Ill have the hubby fire that up, if all else fails. During this 4 months of being without a working oven, I have been using a variety of other small appliances. I will keep doing that even after the Viking is repaired to save the wear and tear on it. I have been using a counter top Jet Stream Oven, a Pizzazz rotating pizza oven, and some outdoor grilling. Id like to maybe be able to use the Viking oven to bake some Christmas cookies and roast a chicken now and then. Thanks for letting me vent, I feel better, not really.

My husband and I remodeled and bought the Professional side by side in 2006. We had it replaced due to a dent in it and the ice machine not working in 2008 by warranty. The replacement had issues too. We have replaced the ice container a couple of times for $300 ea. Now its broken and it will cost $500. We noticed that there were 2 screws that are missing. It has been worked on but not sure if it was factory or labor issue. Plus water dispenser doesnt work. That’s been worked on too. Recently cleaning the fridge out, I noticed cracks on the inside of the door unit. The drawers are all broken. We replaced a couple of them about two years ago for $100 ea. Broken again. The fridge still works, but the breakage is not good.We had a refrigerator for over 20 yrs prior to this that still worked and had no problems. Buyers remorse? Probably. I have pictures showing the issuer cracks inside of the unit. By the way, my hubby and I are senior citizens and take care of our things. I would love to be able to send my concerns to the company with pictures.

I have no questions at this time. We are very pleased with the unit. It has significantly increased the quality of oven baked goods. It was the most expensive appliance we have purchased until now but it has made cooking so much more enjoyable. Thank you.

I needed a particular oven size and Viking Range has them. I like the burners to their double oven. but were now on range number 4. Their corporate guy came out when we had a problem and he solved it. After we got through the the second one, we were good. We had good help at solving the problem. As a matter of fact, they cut the manufacturing down on them until they figure out whats wrong.
