RESET AMANA DISHWASHER LIGHTS BLINKING:
The lights that are blinking or flashing on your Amana dishwasher tell you that your dishwasher may need a reset or may mean a part needs replaced, repaired, or checked and cleaned.
NOTE: Always unplug the dishwasher from power before troubleshooting.

If your Amana dishwasher has lights blinking, your dishwasher can be reset by simply unplugging the dishwasher for 5 minutes. By removing power to the Amana dishwasher, you may be able to reset the control board and this can clear the lights blinking.

Try this to reset your Amana dishwasher before taking the dishwasher apart and checking parts:

  • Unplug your Amana dishwasher
  • Wait for 5 minutes
  • Plug the dishwasher back into power
  • Do a test wash and see if the dishwasher has reset and the lights blinking are now clear.

The lights on your Amana dishwasher may also blink and flash to tell you a part in the dishwasher is faulty.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. We bought it in May of 2014 and to my dismay found that it did not fill on the rinse cycle. My clothes always had soap residue left on them. I read the manuals carefully and it did indicate that when manually adding softener, to let the rinse tub fill. It never did. We called the repairman who re-calibrated it, so supposedly it would work properly. He no sooner left when the red lock lid button started blinking. It was off-cycle again. It still does not fill. I have to go to another rinse drain cycle to rinse my clothes. My advice to anyone...DO NOT BUY AN AMANA WASHER, THEY ARE JUNK!!!

Do not buy Amana!! Purchased a washer and dryer on 5/24/16. Washer will not drain but is full of water. They want me to sit at home on a Thursday (NEXT WEEK), today is Monday, until a repairman shows up. No idea when. Just wants me to wait. Informed them I will have the washer, water supply and a cord to plug into outside because they arent entering my house. I am an independent driver for people needing rides to Dr, Grocery and so on. I did inform them I could wait but a $20.00 an hour fee will be charged. Ill let you know what happens if I can.

We recently purchased an Amana washer Model# NTW4605EW1. Supposedly high efficiency. It takes at least 2 full washes to get clothes clean and that includes an extra rinse each time. My husbands work clothes are on a 3rd wash right now. Fed up!! What a waste of money time and water. Now spending money to go to a laundromat until we can afford a new washer. We cant even sell it. How can I do that to some other family? Brand new and headed to the dump. Shame on you Amana.

Amana Gas Range AGR5630BDS - We purchased this range from Home Depot and took delivery in Dec 2014. In October 2016 the oven began to shut down after about 30 minutes cooking time and an F2 code showed in the display. Weve had the service tech here 3 times. An oven temp sensor was replaced but the problem was not solved. We then replaced the top ECR module and still the problem exists. Now however when the oven shuts down there is a spewing of natural gas and we have to manually shut the oven off and throw open a window. We are stuck with a stove that wont work and is unsafe, and we are out of about $300 over the price of the stove. We cannot sell it and are hard pressed to afford a new stove. We called Amana and they had a so what attitude. I know that we will never buy any Amana/Whirlpool product again.

In the summer of 2018 we bought an Amana gas dryer. For 2 years it worked great then suddenly no heat. On 11/3/20 I researched the parts we would need to fix this issue. We found, through research, that we would need either a new solenoid or a new thermal fuse and new thermostat. We decided to replace all 3 rather than choose wrongly and have to wait for the correct part.On 11/3 I contacted Amana support via the email provided on their website because their website did not list our particular model of dryer in order to determine part #s. On 11/11 they responded asking for my address, phone number, serial #, date of purchase, etc. On that same day I responded and said, No just give me the parts #s so we can move on with our lives. Finally on 11/21, they responded with a link to parts #s. The problem was we already replaced the dryer. We understand fully that Covid is causing delays everywhere in responses to emails but 18 DAYS??? This was utterly ridiculous. We will not be buying any further Amana products to ensure we will not have to deal with this customer service department again.

I currently own an Amana French door refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. I have had these products for a little over a year and the warranty on these products is a year. Recently, my Amana dishwasher model # ADB1500AWS3 panel went out. I have used this product about 20 times. I contacted Amana customer service and they said that even though the warranty expired, they would cover the part and I would have to pay for service and labor. With that understanding, I arranged service on the dishwasher. The repair guy replaced the part for $150.00 and I got a total bill for $243.00 for service, labor, and part. I contacted Amana to ask them what the next step was to get reimbursed for the $150.00. Well long story short, Amana backed out of their word and said that they were not going to cover the part now, even though a supervisor orally agreed to cover the cost of the part. I lost a lot of trust and respect for Amana and their products today. I will never purchase another Amana product again.

I thought Id done adequate research through Consumer Reports, etc. My Amana French door refrigerator model # AFD2535FES worked fine for the first year. Then, the food compartment wasnt as cold as it should be and food began to spoil, although the food in the freezer drawer was rock solid and snow started forming on the inside. Id purchased an extended warranty, so I thought having it repaired would be a non-issue. The repairman said it was due to too much food in the freezer, so air couldnt circulate into the food compartment. He said to defrost the freezer, which I did. It seemed to work OK for two weeks and the same thing happened again--all the food spoiled again, even with minimal food in the freezer. The second repairman came out, this time he said it needed a new heating element. I waited another week for the part to arrive (more time off work) and then he returned and replaced it. Two weeks later, the same problem happened. Spoiled food again, and time off work. I am expecting the repairman later today. This fancy stainless steel behemoth is a lemon and needs to be recalled. The temp inside is 65F and makes storing food impossible. It has been a huge expense and a great inconvenience. I will never buy another Amana appliance and I will advise everyone I know to boycott their products.

Our Amana refrigerator ART316TFDW serial # VS62254299 purchased in 2016 failed in late 2019. The cost of parts to replace the evaporator and compressor is C$816.13 + labour + tax. The original unit cost was about C$725 + tax. We contacted Amana Canada about this. They said that since we dont have an extended warranty, there is nothing that they are willing to do. They apparently arent bothered by the fact that their product did not even last four years. That is not a good product and that is not good service. We will be buying another fridge, but can you guess whether it will be from Amana/Whirlpool Corporation?

In December of 2003, I purchased a drop-in Amana range model #ACS4250. The oven recently abruptly stopped heating. The repairman informs me that the part needed to repair the oven (electronic control #77001240) has been discontinued.Who does that? Who discontinues parts? I called Amana and they helped me immensely. They connected me with the sales department. As if I would be fool enough to buy another product from a company who discontinues a small part that is vital to the operation of one of their major appliances in order to force a customer to replace that appliance. I dont think so.I am an 81-year-old woman who takes extraordinary care of my appliances. This range looks as though it should be on the showroom floor and now it’s junk. The only help I got from Amana was an offer to sell me a new range or a suggestion to call around and try to find someone else who might have that part lying around.By the way, I spent most of the afternoon on the telephone doing exactly that – all to no avail. That part cannot be found. Amana should be ashamed. One of the persons I talked to actually had the nerve to tell me that I needed to understand that this is The wave of the future. This is technology.I hung up.My new range will be anything but an Amana – Maytag, Whirlpool – or anything connected to them. They are a disgrace.

Warning. This fridge stopped working after 2.5 years with no warranty after 1 year and thrown out. Before this past weekend, I would have rated this appliance high. We bought this fridge for my mother-in-law who is in her mid 90s. It was the perfect size and worked well without any issues whatsoever....until it just stopped working without notice of any kind suggesting there was a problem. We called for warranty and was directed to Whirlpool for service. Apparently model # ART318FFDW wears numerous different brands including Amana, Maytag, Kenmore, IKEA and more. They advised the appliance only came with a 1-year warranty. So we called an independent service guy to service it only to be told that this is a common problem with this model and it would cost over $700 to repair it (they retail in Canada between $7-800 new), advising it was not worth repairing because there was a risk of it occurring again. He provided a report (see photo for screen shot) and suggested we call the manufacturer back as they will be aware of this problem and there may even be a recall. We did just that and they denied any knowledge of problems with this model and there were no recalls issued. And because we did not buy the additional warranty, there was no recourse. I could appreciate having to pay to fix our fridge, since there was no additional warranty, but I was certainly not expecting a 2.5 year old fridge to be unfixable. That the parts would cost as much as replacing the fridge is unacceptable. To make matters worse, Whirlpool offered us an apology with a loyalty REBATE of 15% if we purchased a replacement of any model within the Whirlpool brands, even off a discounted price. Though we were not going to purchase the same model, we thought this was at least some form of recourse and reluctantly purchased another fridge. When I filed for the claim with the code they emailed me, the code was rejected saying Code was already redeemed. I had just got the code a day earlier as this was an emergency replacement purchase, and the code was not working. I reached out to Whirlpool by replying to their email which was a no response email address. I then sent a message through their contact form and many days later still no response. If I dont receive one by the end of the week Im going through the pain of returning it and replacing it with a different brand.Long story short, I dont recommend this model nor do I recommend the Whirlpool brand because of the poor response to a lemon of a purchase.

Purchased an Amana top loading washing machine in December 2018 from Home D
Purchased an Amana top loading washing machine in December 2018 from Home Depot. It worked well for about a year. Then after that the issues began. Stopped cleaning clothes completely, leaving them soaked and dirty. Began making horrible loud sounds constantly, it would get stuck on certain cycles and not complete others, it stopped agitating clothes all together. The control panel was completely out of whack by August 2020 and basically beyond repair (per more than one repairman). It stopped functioning altogether by December 2020, which is exactly 2 years after the original purchase date. So I was then forced to purchase yet another washing machine (not Amana). Amana washing machines are a total waste of money and they do not last!!! I regret purchasing one big time...I learned the hard way how poor quality they really are. Do not buy.

I bought a washer and dryer in Irwin at Rosendahls. The first time I used it, it would not work on rinse. The motor would just hum. Called where I bought. Said out of his hands to call Amana. I did. They blamed it on water pressure which I thought was bs. Then I filled up with water with bucket. Then it still would not work on rinse. Called them again. They said they replaced some parts. Took 20 min and theyre gone. They never checked at any time when they said it was fixed. They never ran a cycle ever. I said if it works on wash theres something wrong. They just bide time till warranty runs out.Now Im on a fixed income. It took me 2 and a half years to save for the pair. Im just disgusted at the way I was treated and they dont care they got their money. I tried to add the water for rinse. It just drains out but I have always had to add water to wash because the clothes were always dry on the top. My clothes come out with detergent on then after its done because it never ever has rinsed. DO NOT BUY AMANA ESPECIALLY ONE WITH NO WATER SETTING ENERGY EFFICIENT ONES. THEY DO NOT WORK. Im stuck with it. I live in a trailer which is small and I go to Laundromat. Dryer works great again. DO NOT buy.

I am a renter. The apartment space came with a basic Amana gas range. I experienced large flare ups. Come to find out the previous tenant tried to clean by lifting the top - like every other stove in the world and broke the fittings causing a gas leak. There were no instructions available to indicate that this stove cannot be cleaned, and the very act of lifting the top, which is not restricted in any way, breaks the tubing that houses the gas. How are people supposed to stay safe with this stove? It will be repaired, what about the next tenant? There were several flare ups, almost explosions. The repairman said we were lucky.

An Amana furnace and air conditioner were purchased in Dec 2013 after my 21 year old furnace died. The Amana furnace first broke down and stopped cycling Feb 2014. The air conditioner first broke down and blew warm air in June 2015. Since the first breakdowns the air conditioner broke again in June 2015, it was making a leaking sound. Air conditioner broke again in June 2016, blowing warm air. Furnace broke twice Jan 2017, no heat. Air conditioner broke again May 2017, blowing warm air. Furnace broke again Jan 2018. And lastly, the air conditioner broke again July 2019 and I am currently waiting for a new evaporator coil. Evaporator coils are not covered under warranty so nearly $800 out of pocket. Wish I had more time in Dec 2013 to research furnace and air conditioners but when it is 20 below zero outside all I wanted at the time was heat!

Read the small print of warranty exclusions. Who would think a rusting stainless steel finish is not covered on a stainless steel appliance? Our $1200+ Amana AFD2535FES 12 refrigerator started showing signs of rust about two years after we purchased it. Research shows that this can be a problem if inferior stainless steel is used. Customer Service said to try to clean with warm soapy water and a t-shirt. If that didnt work we had to call a service agent at our expense. I have other stainless steel appliances (GE) that do not have any rust and they are much older, in the same room and I clean them the same way. It is ironic because I thought GE was a cheaper made product so intentionally purchased an AMANA thinking it was better quality.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AMANA AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM!!! I have owned Amana central air conditioning systems in a number of homes, and always thought they were of the highest quality. In fact, I installed a central system at our summer beach house, which operated reliably and without any problems whatsoever in a high salt-air, highly corrosive environment, and it served us well for more than a decade. As a result, when we were building our new house in 2009-10, I specified five Amana systems for our 7500 square foot home. WHAT A MISTAKE! This summer, we have learned that three of the five evaporator coils are leaking, and further learned that the HVAC subcontractor NEVER REGISTERED the warranty with Amana. Simple fix, right? Just call the Customer Service department and explain the problem. No... the Amana organization has totally ignored us, in what may be the poster child for horrible customer service. They have stonewalled us, and have not replied to phone calls and emails. Their local distributor has refused to give us the name of their local rep in an effort to find someone who cares about our problem. No help, no solution. I have to fix the problem and pay for what should have been warranted repairs out of my own pocket, because the cost of the service calls coupled of an electricity bill that has skyrocketed while trying to get help from Amana has me with no choice but to fix it myself. If you buy an Amana air conditioning system and need factory support, forget it. You are on your own, and they will not stand by their products!!!

My refrigerator was just 11 months old when it started falling apart. All the plastic pieces, shelves, meat bin, crisper drawer, cheese drawer, door shelves, etc., began cracking, splitting and falling. I complained to Amanda and was told all these pieces are cosmetic, and didnt affect the operation of the refrigerator. After several complaints and letters, I was sent, as a 1 time courtesy, one shelf, and one drawer which also promptly broke. Tonight the door bin fell off taking another bin with it. A jar of pickles landed on my toe, and a bottle of hot sauce broke, and a cherry soda exploded. I would say that affects the function of the product. I also have a Whirlpool (same company) microwave and the plastic door cracked and split all over. Again, I was told it was just cosmetic. Never have I had such poor quality in a product that cost so much!

I was given an expensive (about $300/$400) Amana microwave last year. One year and one day exactly, it just quit. It wouldnt work, nothing. My daughter called the repair and they said theyd send out a repairman. He called to confirm the appointment and the first words were, Will this be credit, check or cash? I called the Amana company and they told me the cost would be $129 for the man to come to the house and diagnose the problem. Anything else would be extra as the warranty had expired (one day before the machine stopped working). For less than the service call, we got another brand of microwave that works just as well. If it goes out in a year, it will still be cheaper than anything Amana offers. To top this whole mess off, yesterday, about a month after the equipment failure, I got a standard form letter from Amana urging me to buy an extended warranty and the basic one year was about $60. This would have done me no good as the microwave was already broken and out of warranty. I sent a letter last night to the Amana customer service. I got another canned reply today about how good the warranty was and how sorry they were, but they couldnt apply any warranty to the old one because it had lapsed. This is an outrageous example of the planned obsolescence now in use. Amana used to be a top company up there with Maytag. My first microwave was an Amana Radarange. I bought it when they first came out and it lasted about 10 years. Now, this piece of junk that was expensive to begin with only lasted one year and one day. Amana should offer a complete refund to customers that have these problems. Ill never buy Amana again. And since Amana is now owned by Whirlpool/Maytag, Ill probably never buy them again either. How sad that American quality has gone down the drain just so the big companies can get richer at our expense.

On February 4th 2009, I purchased an Amana front load washer and since September 29th 2010, we have had it serviced four times to replace. First, the door latch sensor; second, the door itself; third, the front panel and fourth, a new motor was installed on August 30th 2011. Now, we still have the error code 3e, which was supposed to be for the motor pop up again on September 3rd and I had to put in a fifth service. This is the worst appliance I have ever bought. We purchased an Amana washing machine. I noticed that there was a bad odor in my utility room that was so strong it even came out in the other parts of the house at times. We had no idea where the odor was coming from. We check the septic system thinking maybe that may be where it was coming from and even had the septic pumped out. Still the odor kept coming and we could not figure out where the odor was coming from. Then we noticed that the water was not draining all the way out of the washing machine. It just sits in there because it does not spin out all of the water. I tried to get repairs done on the machine but they would not do anything because they said my warranty had run out. I am very unhappy with this product.

I purchased an Amana Washer on 2/13/2015 from a dealer in appliances here in Oldsmar, FL. I bought this Washer and Dryer due to the fact these items were Made in America. The paint on inside of the top lid of the washer is chipping off, peeling off, etc. and some of these flakes of paint drop into the washer on my clothes and only will only get worse with time. I called Amana and since I did not like what the sales rep said I asked for a supervisor which stated to me that he could not help me to replace the top piece of the washer. He could only send me a bottle of touch up paint. This guy also needs to send me a large brush with a quart of paint! This washer is only a little over 3 years old and should not be peeling like it is. Not like a bunch of people use this washer as it is being used by 2 adults. No abuse or rough treatment on this appliance. Lousy paint job! Where was the inspector for the painting of this washer? Not doing his job most likely because if he had done a half-way decent inspection he would have noticed the bad paint job. The sample bottle would not cover the areas without paint. I cannot believe that this was made in America as some 3rd world country would do a much better paint job. Dryer is OK but washer a mess. I will never buy a Made in America washer or dryer again. The foreign appliances will be on my list to purchase from now on especially since these manufacturers in the US make these defective items and charge you many dollars for junk. Never will recommend Amana to anyone for anything as they do not stand behind their work.

I purchased the Amana 25.1 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator in Stainless Steel, Model# ASD2522WRS from Home Depot 15 months ago, in September 2010. Two weeks ago, all my food in my fridge spoiled. I noticed while I was pouring milk in my sons cup, something told me to taste it because it didnt smell fresh even though it had over three weeks until expiration. It tasted like sour cream. I am so glad my child didnt drink that. I almost threw up. Also, I had four-day old ice tray in my freezer that was still liquid, my ice cream softened and all my sons popsicles crumbled to my touch. I had to throw away majority of our food and weve been eating carry outs since. I contacted Amana and they told me the warranty was only good for 12 months. They scheduled for a technician to come to my house for repairs. I was suppose to be priority since I was stuck at home without food. I waited all day for technicians to come and/or call. I even tried to call and couldnt get through since their lines were busy. I left a message and received a return call the next day. Amana gave them the wrong phone number. I wasnt given a quote so I asked the technicians directly for a estimate and they said they were going to charge me $129 just to come to my house + charges. Say what now? That is ridiculous.

I hate all the bells & whistles of high-priced washers & dryers....they usually don't really do much but cause headaches. We opted for this fairly basic dryer & it works perfectly so far! It has a bit more room in it than our last one so the clothes come out virtually wrinkle-free! I would recommend it highly....unless you just NEED to spend more $$

Finally decided to replace freezer door gasket as its cracked; dug through my receipts and was surprised that we purchased it new, in 1992. Around the time that free trade started, so ordered it from USA through Buffalo, delivered to my front door and uncrated. I dont think there are too many appliances that run 28 years and going strong without a problem. Replacing the gasket is an easy fix.

We have an Amana 30 slide-in gas range (model # ACS3350AS) that is about 6 years old. The top burners are out of adjustment and are burning yellow. I went to the Amana website to find out how to adjust the air/fuel ratio and they wanted payment for answering a question. I spent 35 years in the gas customer service department of a large utility company, 20 of which were spent as a service technician for gas heating/hot water heating systems. After reading some of the complaints and evaluating their level of customer service and overall customer sensitivity, this company, Amana, is failing miserably. The upshot is that their executive management should probably seek positions that require a more parochial approach to business.

Amana Front Loading Washing machine Model NFW7200TW suddenly stopped filling. Received an error code of tE indicating an issue with the Thermistor. Began checking wiring and discovered several severed wires at the control panel. Contacted Amana Customer Service and was advised that they would send someone out but because the FL was no longer under warranty, I would be responsible for costs. I advised Amana rep that I was more concerned with a potential fire hazard and that was putting them on notice of the issue. The Rep basically said that they had no reports like this and that there were no recalls and nothing they would do. So anyone with this washing machine, beware!

I was coming down the stairs to get my son a bottle at 6:00 AM and heard a strange noise. As I walked into the living room, it was filled with a foul smelling smoke. I yelled and woke up my father who came running down the stairs. My father unplugged the fridge from the wall and put the fire out. Our slate flooring is burnt, and my son and I had mild smoke inhalation. It has been over a month and we are waiting for parts to cover the repair or they will give us $200 for a new fridge. Our fridge was older but, just like most everyone else, it was the compressor that failed. I think Amana needs to recall their refrigerators and come up with a new design.

I have Amana Washer in my apartment. When I first used it I noticed my clothes werent clean so I did some research to make sure I was using the right detergent. I was using the right detergent. No water ever entered the washer. It only sprinkled the clothes with water. I had to rewash the clothes by hand to get them clean. This has gone on over a year. Management claim that they called a licensed Amana dealer. I took pictures and sent them to Amana and to the apartment managers. The apartment managers have even came out and have been aware of the machine not working. We had an outage in December and the machine now makes a terrible noise. So the guy that cleans the yard came and unplugged it. After a year of not working properly and never being fixed and now they want me to replace machine that was already damaged. The guy that works here claims he cant remember it not working. This guy stood there and actually lied. If you look at the pictures there is very little water. You have to have water to wash clothes. These were taken in January 2015.

On November 23, 2011, my 2007 Amana French door, bottom freezer refrigerator model # AFI2538AES began making a loud popping noise, touch pad panel lights flashing, and cooling stopped. The popping noise was from the ice maker flap opening and closing. The HV board needs replaced, Whirlpool Manufacturer #12920710. I contacted Amana to order the part. The service rep said it is on backorder until February because they have been pulled from the shelf and are being revamped. When I asked if the part would be covered by Amana, since a part needing revamped was essentially defective, I was told no. Requested to speak with supervisor, who states she didnt know where I had heard that the part is being revamped but occasionally, they have difficulty finding manufacturers to produce parts and was certain this was the circumstance. I was told there were no other complaints like mine documented. Amazingly, however, the supervisor was able to locate the backordered part, which the service rep, the parts department and two independent repair shops were unable to find. I expressed my concern that the part found, only three in stock, may be leftover from the stock requiring revamping, rather from the previous manufacturer and not of the same quality of the part which may be produced and available in February. I suggested they reimburse for the part. They declined. I suggested they reimburse should the replacement part need replaced. They declined. I thought of more suggestions but didnt feel they were appropriate to express. Whirlpool/Maytag/Amana should recall the bottom freezer refrigerators with the HV board #12920710 due to defective or faulty part or incompatibility with these refrigerator models.

After two years the washer started to sound like a jetliner taking off. I called Maytag and it would cost over $400.00 to repair. If you must buy an Amana product, get an extended warranty and keep extending it for as long as you can. Unlike the folks who make these Amana products, the Assurant Solutions service protection people are a standup group. Its clear from just a little research that this product (Amana ACS3350AS) had design and manufacturing flaws from the start, including oven and broiler igniters that dont last more than a couple of years. Unsafe overheating of exterior oven surfaces. A poorly placed computer control unit that overheats with the rest of the oven. Since they stopped making the computer, less than six years after we purchased the thing, its dead. Amana argues that the California state obligation that parts be made for seven years does not apply in this case. They consider it seven years from the date of manufacture and not purchase or it seems like they are saying we didnt buy it when we bought it. Run from these people if you have a choice. The warranty company (Assurant) is paying $720.00 for the oven we spent $1,000.00 in 2006. I believe I spent $200.00 on extended warranty until 2014. No money on five repair visits. You do the math. Please keep in mind this is the same corporation that owns Whirlpool, Amana, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Consul, Brastemp, Bauknecht and Gladiator. Collecting brands, not customers. Consider the service youll get.

I have a Amana dishwasher in my rental house and it stopped circulating water at about a year and half - I tried to get some type of concession from Amana for parts and labor going through their service outlet. The answer was a complete NO due to the fact that it was out of warranty. This dishwasher just stopped circulating water one day and didnt get the dishes clean due no water spraying on the dishes. I personally went underneath the dishwasher and gently tapped the circulation pump and it began to work. My years of experiences in the automotive field tells me that this is a manufacture defect with their motors where the manufactured motor has a flat spot in the rotor that will stop in a certain location and stop working at times. This failure was produced at the manufacturer and if I am right they too know that it is their responsibility to take care of the defect but the almighty profit or dollar cost is more important than customer service of honesty. To this I say I hope Amana goes out of business because I think it wont be too long that it will go out of business due to the fact that they are already under Whirlpool. I learned my lesson - if the product is cheaper than everyone else what can you expect? It sure wouldnt be your moneys worth, not even at a year and half use.

First and foremost DO NOT PURCHASE AMANA anything!!! I made that huge mistake when purchasing my oven and bottom freezer refrigerator in 2004. Compressor was dead within 5yrs of purchase. The stove was and is a nightmare!! Of course this stove is no longer made and good luck trying to find parts. This stove retail was approximately 1100.00 middle of the road price but for all the error codes it throws out, it makes one think how dumb was I to even THINK about buying this model or brand!!Replaced two oven sensors, temp regulators now door does not shut correctly therefore heat escapes from oven and get ready because when that happens the timer/clock control board melts!!! Really???!!! AMANA is blind to this and will ignore all of your complaints!!! You might as well just hold a match to your money when it comes to AMANA!! One will have difficulty finding parts for a discontinued model on anything but this is how AMANA conducts business!!! I totally understand with time all things need to be replaced and simply run its course. However, 4 to 5 yrs life expectancy is max on all AMANA anything! Just tell yourself AMANA is no longer being made and save yourself the aggravation.

About a year ago, I purchased an Amana oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Granted, all three were on the economy end of the model spectrum. I have issues with all three. The oven door on after only 4 months started to bind opening and closing. Also, the plastic trim around the oven handle also is cracked and continues to get worse. I called Amana thinking I could get it repaired within the 1 yr. warranty. I was told that the oven door repair is not covered because it does not affect the functionality of the appliance. Really? I think the door has quite a bit to do with the functionality of an oven. Regarding the microwave, the door, also cracking off the plastic trim around the window part of the door. Thirdly, the dishwasher upper rack keeps falling off the track because end bracket on the left side often comes unsnapped. These design (or should I say misdesigned) elements of Amana products should not be occurring. Especially after only a few months of use. Oh, by the way, after my 1 yr. warranty expired a couple months ago, I received a card offering to extend my warranty. You have to be kidding! I bought a house last year that came with new a new Amana washing machine and new Amana dryer (matching set). They are both junk, this is the worst brand you can buy. The washing machine is the worst, my clothes come out dirtier than they were before running the wash. The technology also does not allow you to start running the water before putting the clothes in, which is a design issue and it may contribute to the reason the clothes do not get clean. The other problem, which is huge, it puts holes in new clothes and linens, without fail. All of my stuff is coming out with holes. So the motor on the dishwasher went twice now. It is now 3 years old. Had them come 4 times. The refrigerator is garbage. I have an extended warranty and they dont cover the shelving and shelves. Every shelf is cracked and had to be replaced at a cost of almost $60 per shelf plus shipping and tax. The liner of the refrigerator is cracked also. I called Whirlpool which is the owner of Amana and they dont care one bit. I think everyone should start making a huge issue of their worthless products. I will never, ever buy another Whirlpool or Amana product.

When I bought the stove I thought I would try the glass top (cant remember what they are called). I was never told that I could not can (preserves) on this stove. I only had the stove for less than a month when I asked if I could bring it back for this reason that I cant put weight like a canner on top of this stove. The store where I purchased said NO. Well, ok what do ya do? When I turned the self cleaning cycle on it took a long time and when it was finished it left big brown spots on top of the oven door, like it had gotten too hot and burned it. And you can see it when door is closed. The double glass window on the oven door broke the seal and moisture and stains are in between glass. Cant clean it. Unless you take the door off and take it apart it. The oven light only lasted about 3 months. It wont work at all. Overall I hate this stove, I thought it would be easy to clean on the top, that too is a job. I paid quite a bit of money for this stove. The sales people need to inform you how this stove functions. I would have bought a different stove from them if they would have told me.

I bought an Amana stove 2 years ago. It has been in service 5 times within the last year. The temperature control board keeps messing up. Called customer service. They said to reset it. Which I had to do 3 times and still couldnt finish making dinner. It was last fixed in November and its out again. They really dont care. Told me buy extra warranty for 400$. REALLY!!! Lets just say my response was not nice. I told them since they didnt care I would let people know about my bad experience and terrible product, she hung up on me. Now I have a useless stove because it cost just as much to fix it than what I paid for it. I would never recommend this company or product to anyone.

I wasnt familiar with the brand name but decided to take a gamble. I purchased the stove and fridge in May 2017 new. The stove is rusting along the bottom of the stove door and the pieces are falling apart. This started last year. The fridge shelf that holds the bottom bin has broken. There is only my husband and myself living here. No children to break it! Im am very upset and now I hate my appliances. I would not recommend Amana to anyone. They need to be replaced. The stove especially.

I just have to write a review on our 25 year old Amana refrigerator. In all these years we have never had to have any repairs done and it works awesome! We had to put this refrigerator in the basement 20 years ago because did not match our upstairs appliances but we still kept it in use. 5 1/2 years ago we purchased and Frigidaire and have had problems since day one. After having to completely shutting down our newer fridge 4 time and thawing it because the water line kept freezing up causing the ice maker not to work, we rehooked up our ice maker on the Amana and it works like a charm. I would buy an Amana over Frigidaire any day!!!

Slide in oven model ACS3350AS - The display turns off when baking. I saw hundreds of exactly the same complaint. The hinges were replaced without success. I contacted Amana, but they deny that this is a problem and claim that no one contacted them. I have no clue what to do anymore and plan to purchase another oven definitely not Amana. This company has the worst customer service and products.

Contacted Whirlpool/Amana regarding my 95 year old mothers washing machine. She purchased in February 2014. She uses the machine once or twice a week. During the rinse cycle, the water pumps in and out at the same time. No agitation. One year warranty on machine, so the company will not replace for free. My brother and I have contacted them repeatedly with no solution.

Sometimes the fridge section freezes foods, sometimes it is not cool enough. Odors tend to stay in the fridge and linger indefinitely. Parts of the veggie drawers have broken off over time. I do love that it is a side by side, and will buy another like it. I wont buy an Amana again.

Purchased a new refrigerator that didnt work from day one. After visits from two different repairmen, we are now required to transport the fridge to the next town over so that the compressor can be replaced. After several months of dealing with their help line, I feel that it is ludicrous that we are still without a fridge and are required to arrange for this transportation ourselves. This is in a rental unit that we are unable to rent out because of no fridge. We will now be forced to purchase a new fridge because who knows how long this repair will take. I guarantee it will not say Amana or any related product name on it. GE is looking pretty good. As a side point, we have purchased at least 60 appliances from them in the last year and they still arent willing to go to do anything else for us. Cant imagine the average consumer getting any kind of relief from them.

In September of 2009, I purchased an Amana refrigerator, model # AFD2535DEB Serial # KY287062. In September of 2011, the crisper draw center rail broke. The draws were not overloaded. We are a two-person adult home with perhaps a daily draw usage. I replaced it with the appropriate part on September 11, 2011. On November 5, 2011, the replacement rail broke in less than two months. The draws were not overloaded. I purchased my first replacement from Appliance Parts Pros. The current one was ordered from a link directly from the Amana web page. On 3/3/12, it has broken again. Each time, this has to be replaced, it cost $25. According to other reports, Amana is not covering the replacement. Are we to believe we must spend $100 a year for the life of the fridge?

I bought this washer so I could do large quilts. But I was told now that this new Amana HE large capacity washer without center agitator has a water limit of around 17 gallons so if you want to wash a large load or quilt, think again. Im attaching a hose because I have a laundry tub and adding water. If you dont have a tub, you may want to find a machine that has something called large load or something. I set it on an extra rinse because you cant even see the water so how clean is that? Im talking about a half load. If you do small loads, you are still using more electricity and water, more work, more time, so were not saving anything, are we?

I purchased a new Amana Dishwasher at BrandsMart on February 28, 2015. Had the dishwasher installed, used it a couple of times, dishwasher wont turn on at all. Couldnt take it back to the store because of the cost of installing, uninstalling, etc. Less than a month after purchase, I called Amana Service. They dont have their own service department/technicians, they subcontract with local repair companies. I got assigned Flamingo Appliance. It is now almost one month from the time I called in for a repair and still have no working dishwasher. Major board has to be ordered, part takes forever to arrive. Day before installation appt., Flamingo calls to cancel, part damaged. It goes on and on. STAY AWAY FROM AMANA and also stay away from BrandsMart. This is the second [and last] appliance I purchased there and had problems with right away. Something just isnt right with all of this. Obviously brand new appliance is defective.

On February 21, 2018, I bought an Amana electric range from Brandsmart in Miami. In April 2018, the oven light went out. A technician came and replaced the bulb. In July the oven light went out again. Again the technician came and replaced the bulb. In September the same thing happened. The technician came out and replaced a part. It worked from September 2018 until March 2019. On March 25, 2019, the oven light came on by itself and stays on. I turned off the circuit breaker to the range. I turned it back on and the oven light started flickering on and off. Then it came on again and has not gone off, even though the door is closed.I have reported the matter repeatedly to both Brandsmart and Amana. Because I did not buy extended warranty; they both want me to pay an upfront fee of $69.99 to have the technician come to my home; to fix the same problem that he did not resolve 3 times prior. Plus another $69.99 to purchase parts. This is not a new problem - its been ongoing for over a year and they cannot resolve it. I am reporting them to the Consumer Affairs department to get a refund of my $549.00.

We purchased this washer on 11/11/10 because my washer finally let go after
We purchased this washer on 11/11/10 because my washer finally let go after 18 years of wonderful service. I have had A&E at my house 6 times to fix this washer the main problem was it was chewing up and shredding my clothes and leaking then the seal around the door would come off that has been replaced multiple times. The mother board and transmission also have been replaced. Now 15 months after I purchased this machine and 6 visits later, it has happened again. The machine has ruined my daughter’s brand new coat along with my postal uniform. I have finally become angry so I call up my extended warranty (thought it was a good idea to get an extra 4 years of coverage just in case). The woman I spoke to was very nice and actually tried to get me a brand new washer but because I only used the extended warranty once, I have to give them another chance to fix it before she can do that. So she scheduled me an appointment with electronic services. The gentleman calls me and asked me what was going on with the washer. I give him all the details and he tells me it is an ongoing problem with that model and they made a replacement part for the one that has been broken so he went and ordered it. The next morning, he called me just a surprised as I am to tell me that the warranty department has denied the claim. Wow! So I call back Home Depot warranty dept and tell her what is happening now. So as of right now, it’s a waiting game. She is calling corporate to see what they can do for me. So hopefully Home Depot does the right thing and stands by their sale since Amana was nothing but nasty to me and very unhelpful through this whole thing. My next step is contacting an attorney and finding other who has received the same outcome because then we can go after Amana full force.

So Im stuck with a broken washer thats just over a year old. ***BUYER BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM AMANA***

I got this product installed in my rented house by the landlord. The machine stopped working on the first week right before Christmas. We waited 10 days for repair guy to come and fix it. The machine is new so he billed $340 the insurance or whatever. Two laundry loads later the machine is dead again. I ruined my laundry because I put the detergent and the bleach and had to wait another week for another repair guy to come. Im not going to be surprised if it dies again soon after... I wonder if all the happy customers reviews are actually submitted by the customers. I also wonder if my review will be screened out and removed from this site. Im gonna post it everywhere though. Save your money and save yourself from the troubles. Get something that is not so cheaply made.

I purchased an Amana washer model NFW7200TW in 02/2010. I had to have a repair technician come out on November of the same year - the water was not draining and the pump was not working. Now, it’s the same issue. Of course, Amana offered to sell me an extended one-year warranty for $300.00 (a little less than 1/2 the cost of the machine) since my warranty was for one year, even though it was the same issue. Ive also read where others have had the same issue. I will not deal with this company again.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator model AFF2534FEW3, two years ago. All of a sudden, the refrigerator is not cooling but the freezer is working. To apparently repair the controller board, it will cost me $232.00. When I purchased this refrigerator, I expected it to last a lot longer than it has and from reading other complaints, I see that it is an ongoing problem with Amana. You would think that they might recall these faulty controller boards. I will definitely not buy another Amana again and will not recommend them to anyone!
