[01/02, 10:17] Neha: Highly disappointed with Bosch Product not worth other brands seems far better in India. I Bought my Bosch Refrigerator KGN56LB412/05 just 2.5 months ago in Nov 2019 and guess what the refrigerator has stopped working and the service guys are saying the modular needs to be changed. How can I accept this.. Bosch swear by the technology of its machines. What sort of Machine is this which got faulty just in 2.5 months and you people are not even replacing the machine rather just replacing a part. Never ever buy Bosch product. They are non reliable in India. The installation guy took 2 weeks to install that too post escalations. Now the fridge is faulty and for the replacement part also they dont have parts available and need time. Worst service no body picks call. What sort example Bosch is giving. If your product is faulty and and gets highlighted have the courage to call it back and dont keep playing with customer. Bosh team, have given standard answer that team will contact you but what my Refrigerator is not working from past 4 days. Its a brand new 2.5 months old Refrigerator which has collapsed completely and stopped cooling or functioning. Nobody called me. I had to call up customer care constantly just to reach service Managers who have no courtesy to respond to customers calls when there is some fault in their product. After lots of time spending on their customer care I got a call for 5 mins which was not satisfactory at all. The Manager is talking about company protocol and convincing me for repair with such a Major fault. I feel so #cheated# buying this #Bosch#Refrigerator#. The #Bosh Refrigerator# is around 70k and collapsed just in 2.5 month. The machine has stopped cooling completely and its of no use still your guys are refusing to replace it.It has been a total #nightmare# ever since I purchased this #Bosch Refrigerator#. I purchased this machine from Vijay sales Chandanagar branch and initially they sent unpacked used machine with black Marks all over dirty plug which was used from ages. I complained then they accepted and returned and told Bosch has sent this used piece they are not aware. Again they sent a broken wheel screw Refrigerator which and this was the third piece after lot of struggle we received. I took so much pain just to buy this brand #BOSCH# and to add more to my struggle this Refrigerator has collapsed and stopped cooling in just 2.5 months which was never expected from the brand I used to trust so much. Now #Bosch company# is not even replacing their faulty product and giving so many lame excuses. Trying to push faulty Bosch Refrigerator. Please stop cheating customers Bosch India. How do you expect me to settle on repairing when there is a major Machine problem in bosch Refrigerator. It has stopped cooling in just 2.5 months. Please dont push the faulty machine over to a customer rather replace your faulty Bosch Refrigerator responsibly. I am literally harassed buying Bosch product this time. This is not my first product from bosch. I have convinced my family and revamped their machine to bosch. This is what I get to show brand loyalty towards Bosch. Very, very disappointing. I have a 1.5 yrs old kid and I am without Refrigerator even after buying a premium brand on high price without any fault. It a harassing journey ever since I bought this Refrigerator.

I have had my Bosch dishwasher for two years now and I am very happy that I chose to spend a few extra dollars to buy a quality product. It is by far the best dishwasher I have ever owned: excellent cleaning, quiet operation, easy loading, and energy efficiency. My only quibble is that the beeping notification at the end of the cycle is loud and insistent until the off button is pushed. I would disable this alarm if it were possible.

Just bought an entire kitchen of Bosch appliances. Microwave. Range. Refrigerator. Dishwasher. Biggest and most costly error Ive made this year. The refrigerator was delivered WITHOUT HANDLES. And no grill. Whoops, what? You wanted HANDLES?? The display, as mentioned by another, does NOT illuminate despite what the directions say. The interior is very cheap feeling... much worse than the two year old Frigidaire its replacing. Call to customer service yielded attitude, deflection and excuses. Pass the buck. All at my expense. Referred me back to the dealer (you know, because the dealer is the one with bad QC). They want me to take ANOTHER day off work to meet someone to deal with their product inadequacies. Wouldnt take it again if it was free.

For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher. I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting friends for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour. I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into peoples homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

Something terribly dysfunctional about Bosch and how they treat customers.
Something terribly dysfunctional about Bosch and how they treat customers. After receiving several marketing letters pushing that I purchase a service plan because my warranty had expired, I agreed and sent a check. When my dishwasher broke I contacted Bosch and filed a maintenance request. After 10 days of silence from Bosch, I called and was told that my request would not be honored because I was still under warranty. I then contacted the service department and was told to send a copy of my purchase receipt, which I did. After another 10 days of silence, I again contacted Bosch and was told that the person handling my case had been in “training” and I should send a picture of my defective part... which I did. Again total silence from Bosch!Does anyone work at Bosch? The only efficient thing they do is cash my check. Why would they send marketing material imploring that I purchase a service plan when I’m still under warranty? The material specifically warns that my warranty had expired. Then when I ask for servicing they ignore my request then decline to honor their contract. I’ll never buy Bosch again.

We bought a complete set of Bosch appliances, range, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher in 2016. Within the first year, we had a repairman come out for our ice maker on the fridge, (wasnt making ice) quick enough, thought he fixed it the first time but... he ended up coming back out a second time. We then came to the conclusion we use too much ice than the ice maker can handle for 2 adults!! (Seems odd) but ok. Fine... Now here we are, 3 years later and my range will not heat, the broiler works but the oven does not.. for appliances that are relatively new that seems really odd!!!! Ive had a Whirlpool that lasted 15 years!!! I do not think I will buy another Bosch appliance!! Ill stick with GE or Whirlpool... Tomorrow I have a repairman coming!! Can only imagine what thats going to cost!!??

Nobody in their customer service group knows how the appliance are supposed to work. Unbelievable.

We purchased our Bosch Nexxt 500 Series washer on 7-10-2007 and within a few weeks noticed that our laundry smelled musty and that the whites were no longer white. The smell worsened to the point where I hold my breath when using a washcloth as I wash my face. When I called Lowes I was reminded to use only one tablespoon of high energy detergent, use Affresh Grit Grabber to wipe down the door gasket and the rubber boot of the tub and keep the door ajar. This same information was provided me by Bosch Consumer Service. I also run an empty load with vinegar/bleach every couple weeks. The door stays ajar at all times except when running a load of laundry. There have been times when so little water enters the machine that the laundry comes out still dry in areas but the worst is the bad smell of our laundry. I am so very disappointed in my waste of a thousand dollars and embarrassed that I still have this Energy Efficient washer but dont know where to turn.

It performed much better when new. Now we have to pre-wash everything because the dishwasher no longer removes dried-on food and sticky residue. I keep the filters clean but it is just not washing as well as it used to. Could be that hard water and non-phosphate detergents is partially to blame. Very quiet compared to others. It has rinse and hold, pots and pans, and other useful cycles. Configurable rack partitions and top shelf fold-out utensil holder offer lots of loading options. Like most average dishwashers this one does not have enough top rack clearance for tall glasses. Looks sharp with no outwardly visible controls. Stainless steel front is nice but difficult to keep clean. Pro: Still running after 10 years of daily use. Tub and racks still in perfect condition. Con: Rinse aid dispenser door no longer stays closed. Detergent door stopped latching after a couple years... fix required disassembly and cleaning. Ability to clean dirty dishes has degraded over the years.

Called Bosch, had service repair at great expense. They said it dries and is designed to leave drops on top and it leaks down on dishes leaving them wet. Also cycle time has doubled to 158 minutes. They said, “Do not run at night, open immediately after cycle to get drier dishes.” Are they kidding? $1000 for a dishwasher you cannot run at night! DO NOT BUY BOSCH products. Service and website are terrible. Their attitude is ‘customer is always wrong.’

Received a recall notice stating that the dishwasher I purchased is a FIRE HAZARD in my home. Logged onto the website and filled out all the information. Recall letter stated that I could arrange for service online. Not so. Was provided with a number to call to set up appointment. Waited on hold and then was transferred to a voicemail that couldnt take messages. Finally got someone on the phone at Bosch and was told it takes 2 weeks to get an appointment. (Hello - fire hazard in my house, not fun!!!) Then I was told that I was lucky (lucky???) that they were fixing it for free. LOL. Really? Bosch makes a faulty appliance that can catch on fire and Im lucky that they will fix it? What a joke. Never again.

When we remodeled our kitchen we bought all new Bosch appliances. Refrigerator needed service after 2 months of use. Circuit board needed to be replaced. Bosch refused to pay for spoiled food. Ice maker never worked right. Repair tech said we use too much ice. Microwave blew up after 2 years. Unit was replaced by Bosch but does not match the rest of my appliances. Instructed not to use the metal rack that comes with the microwave.Dishwasher needed a service call because it was making excessive noise after 3 years of use. Now, while cooking a Christmas roast, the inner glass of my 4 year old oven exploded after the oven was turned off. Glass all over the kitchen. We were stuck with a $200 repair bill. Service tech instructed us not to use the self clean feature. My husband and I are in our 60s and the appliances are not overly used. I have had more repairmen in my house in the past 4 years than I have had in 41 yrs of marriage. Bosch appliances are very expensive, overrated, and unreliable.

We own a Wall oven and microwave combo - HBLP751UC. The oven part over the years would just freeze that is none of the controls would work till the breaker was switched on and off. Now the microwave switches are broken and parts are not available for 2-3 weeks or longer. So the whole unit is out of action for that long. When purchasing I should have done my due diligence and checked but these are made in China and I was hoping for German reliability. I could have done much better at a cheaper price. Now I am stuck with this without service from Bosch. When I asked Bosch for service they said they do not have service people in my area and to use someone in the market who is certified. Check if they have service in your area before purchase and also buy a warranty for sure. Sorry I do not have anything positive to say about Bosch appliances.

I purchased a wonderful dishwasher. It was brand new and with an extended warranty. After 3 cycles, my dishwasher quit registering commands from the control panel. We called Bosch for a services technician. The service technician came 2 weeks after to diagnose the problem. It took another 3 weeks for the parts to arrive. He then said it could not be fixed. The service technician will not call us back and Bosch keeps adding comments to our file. Its been months since we had a working dishwasher. Bosch stated that they need the unresponsive service technician to call us. The store we purchased it from will not take it back because Bosch will not give us a confirmation code. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a a service tech to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained. I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didnt. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

The control module failed and the motor burned up on the Axxis Washer. Total repair cost was $700.00. The repair technician was shocked at the amount of soot and black carbon inside the washer body, and he commented, You are lucky you didnt have a fire. Extensive emails with Bosch finally elicited a response: Tough and have a nice day. Bosch appliances are overpriced and do not deliver the quality nor reliability they represent in their brand. A Bosch compact pair (each 24 inches wide) has been great for 15 years, and the dryer just died, and I replaced it with this unit so I could still plug the old Bosch washer into the dryer for power. Bosch is only making ventless dryers now, and I bought this against my better judgment because the reviews of the ventless dryers have been terrible. Bosch apparently went to ventless because of new regulations about lint fires in ducted dryers. This dryer is great! The automatic sensor is adjustable for different levels of dryness. It is faster than the previous vented Bosch dryer, and the clothes come out perfect. The fact that the washer spins to 1200 means the clothes are already pretty dry. If your washer does not spin at 1200, that might explain why clothes would take a long time to dry in this dryer. The condensation unit at the bottom of the dryer drains into a hose which empties into the same drain as the washer. (If you have a 3 prong outlet, the manual shows how you can rewire the dryer for a 3 plug cord, or you can replace the outlet) . Some warm dry air is emitted from the dryer and we use it to help heat the house when it is cold. Why waste this source of heat? In the summer I will direct the warm air into the garage or turn on the exhaust fan in the laundry room. In short, we are thrilled with this dryer. We have only had it a short time, and hope it will last as long as its predecessor.

Before upgrading my kitchen appliances, did search on BOSCH Kitchen gas cooktops, found one had good reviews, after buying from LOWES, within few months, knobs getting hot, and even hotter once we cook more and more, both right and left hand side were getting extremely hot, even above we used to have microwave, under and handle both were getting so hot, unbelievable... we started getting burned 10 to 15times a year, I called Lowes, told us to contact BOSCH directly, I gave several terrible reviews so new customers stay away from this product, this is the most terrible product of BOSCH made, as last week, my wife got really burned by her finger tops try to turn-off the steel knob, and she got really burned for weeks, couldnt touch or grab anything from that finger. Today I am complaining to company and many others NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT. This is Worst product...that you cant imagine!!Thinking to hire lawyer and sue the company so, they will take this matter seriously and for other new customers not to invest in this non-safety, disaster product ever can come into the market to sell. MODEL: NGM8054UC /03. Serial: 931000088. - Wish this can help others to stay away and can save lives (if minor kids/adults/seniors -ALL touching the knobs in the house).

Bosch 1000 rpm 6kg 15 Prog Classixx. I like Bosch products because they last well. Theyre expensive to buy, compared with other brands, but cheaper in the long run (and therefore also better environmentally). The reviews for this product were good as well, which is always a big factor for me. I wanted a general purpose model, which is why I chose this one. I didnt need anything special as I dont do any specialist washing (very dirty or extra large items, for example). Ive had this washing machine since October 2004. I dont know whether or not this model of the Bosch washing machine range still exists, but I would recommend it simply because the machine has always performed well and washed satisfactorily, its about average cost to run (slightly better than that, actually) and its never broken down in the eleven plus years Ive had it.

For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. I would NEVER recommend Bosch appliances and I am VERY disappointed I purchased these products. THE WORST.

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

Dishwasher SHV68TL3UC/04: I spent $900 on this dishwasher 18 months ago. Today, it will not turn on. Called Bosch service: $129 to get a technician to come out, plus $30 every 15 minutes that they are here, not including the time for any work they need to do or any parts that need to be paid for. Needless to say, this will be my first and last Bosch purchase. I was advised to buy KitchenAid and I decided not to. Live and learn.

In the last 12 months, Ive bought a high end Bosch flexi-induction, series 8 oven and washing machine. The first two, I intentionally paid a premium for it as they are made in Germany while the washing machine made in Thailand. The branding has bring down not only tarnished her brand but to Germany as a world-class engineering country. Almost everyone knows top quality engineering comes from Germany like Porsche, BMW, Merc, Audi, Miele etc.Utterly disappointing with less than 12 months, there were multiple service calls on the new oven, induction and washing machine. It’s not a coincidence. Three products all have issues, be it German made or not. Almost all my white goods and big household items are Bosch. Going forward, I’ll just go for China or Korean brands that are significantly cheaper. Premium price doesn’t equate to quality and durability anymore especially with Bosch. I used to have Bosch dishwasher that lasted for years, now, quality of this brand has dropped significantly and I’ve changed to Miele instead. Bosch, seriously is hopeless. It will be another Nokia (market leader went collapsing) if it still doesn’t wake up.

I was traveling from MA and was in NYC helping my family member drive to have some tooth surgery done. During my down time went online and as I recently bought the Bosch washer, I wanted to see if there was a dryer out there. Fortunately there was, it was actually an open box at this location, I had a very good experience with the service at this location and also 5* on the product itself too. I went in and was greeting Denise, she was very helpful during the whole process and even allowed my to view the dryer in person in the bay before committing to the purchase. I really liked how quick she got me checked out and was super friendly. I have to give this store 5* for quick and friendly staff. Now back to the dryer. Wow, so nice, best dryer I’ve ever owned in my life. Extremely quite and piggyback ready the washer I just bought too. If you live in a small studio or apt, these are the absolute best washer/dryers you can get for cleaning g and silent operation. One and only drawback, 220v and the hefty type, definitely check your connections first, otherwise! Love it!!!

So frustrating to get a letter in the mail that tells you to stop using your dishwasher immediately like its no big deal and doesnt inconvenience my life. Of course after trying to call, I get a voicemail saying due to caller volume they are unable to take my call at this time then the call disconnects! Im supposed to stop using my dishwasher because its unsafe and wait until I can get through to them and schedule somebody to come out and fix it. Who knows how long this will take. Save your money and buy a less expensive brand. Ive never had this problem with the dishwasher before and have never spent this much on a dishwasher.

Visiting my son who has a Bosch oven. Its all digital. Not sure the model. But its a 2018 one. I tried for 15 minutes to push the off button which may not be the actual off button because it says clean on it as well. But, there are no other buttons that say off. I tried changing settings. I couldnt unplug it because the wire was not reachable. I looked up the manual online, still nothing helped. Finally, I shut off the fuses to the kitchen. Now its off. Lol. Personally, Id only buy nondigital appliances. This oven is Dangerous! Dont waste your money. My $40 toaster oven is better!

Bought faulty Advantixx washer dryer (wouldnt dry). Had to threaten with consumer affairs before they would replace it. They replaced it with a factory second where the filter cover continually falls off and the rubber on the drum was filthy and warped. Called and reported it - Bosch were unconcerned. Sent photos after much argument and nasty attitude from their customer service - now waiting again. Whole machine appears very cheap plastic and the quality of the rubber drum is appalling as confirmed by the first technician who visited. The rubber ripped after a few weeks. Worst purchase ever - cost $1600 on special!!!

Unbelievably quiet for a dishwasher. I didnt believe it was on or had run the first two times I used it. It also does the dishes sparkling clear WITHOUT the Finish product. Just the normal dishwashing detergent. Rave all the time about it as I unload it. Dont know how many features are necessary to wash dishes. A rinse if I have new stuff, I just want to sterilize and the regular good wash. The short wash tended to leave the dishwasher smelling of food after even though the dishes were clean. This does not happen on the regular wash so I think it has to do with running long enough to get the food completely down the drain. This is the only drawback: it is not as big as previous dishwashers I have had and the bottom rack is not conducive to glasses and bowls mainly just plates. We use a lot of mugs and glasses and bowls, so I need the majority of the dishwasher to conform to placing these dishes safely in line. Sleek and beautiful. No buttons or lights showing anywhere except a reflection of the light onto the floor when its running, which lets me know it has begun. If Bosch would create a rack that could conform to different dish size and shape, this would be the PERFECT dishwasher of all time. It is amazing in terms of the lack of sound and the sparkling dishes.

We purchased four Bosch appliances in January 2011 and by November 2011, there was rust on them. Our fridge looked like someone sprayed the rust on it. It is that bad. We contacted Bosch and they sent a service person to look at it and confirmed the problem. He said that the appliances werent 100% Stainless steel because he tested it with a magnet and there was some magnetic attraction. Anyway, he then tried cleaning it per his instructions from Bosch and the rust remained. We contacted Bosch about what the service man said and then was told that the appliance were only warranted for 30 days for cosmetic defects and we should try cleaning it again. We tried cleaning again this time using a very fine steel wool. Some spots were removed but still left a residual stain but many, many spots the rust remained. We then contacted Bosch again. They asked us to send pictures and then they offered to give us 50% off replacement parts as their solution to the defective appliances we paid full price for. This is not the answer we expected from a company who sells what they call top of the line appliances. We were told that the problem of rust was because our condo is on the ocean in FL I cant believe that everyone living on coastal America has had rust problems on their appliances with in a year of purchase. Our Floridian neighbors dont seem to have this problem with other brands. Also we had purchased Bosch appliances for our CT home in 2007and have no rusting problems and we live a block from the sea. I read on rekitchen.com that Bosch warranties against rust on dishwashers. This obviously is not true. From what Ive read here, Bosch does not live up to their reputation!

Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 20
Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 2016. 20 minutes into initial clean cycle E:15 code appears on display with drain pump running continuously. Called Bosch customer service and was told this indicates an internal water leak. Bosch provided 3 phone numbers for local service technicians and told me I would need to schedule a repair appointment because Bosch customer service was too busy taking other calls. Earliest appointment was 1 week out. Bosch factory certified technician confirmed internal water leak and after 1 hour of troubleshooting determined the distribution/circulation pump seal needs to be replaced. The new part (which retails for less than $2.00) will take 3-5 business days to arrive and then a follow-up appointment can be scheduled to install the new part.Based on the other reviews Ive read, I am skeptical that this will solve the problem. The other observation during the initial clean cycle was that while the unit was draining, a large amount of black debris seemed to be discharging through the drain hose. I am wondering if this is the mold problem Ive read in some of the other complaints/reviews. The drain hose is almost clear so it was easy to see the darker looking debris. After a couple of drain cycles, the discharge water was free of black debris. I understand the units are tested in the factory before being packed up for shipment so a small amount of water in the bottom of the pump is normal but why the mold? When I mentioned this to the Bosch customer service representative I was told that they had never heard of such a thing before (really?!).Why didnt the factory test detect the leak problem? If it did, was a decision made to go ahead and ship a defective unit out anyway? I have an older Bosch dishwasher (purchased in 2008) that never had problems like this. My mother always comments on how quiet it runs when she visits. It would appear Bosch has significant quality control issues on the assembly line and perhaps throughout the entire enterprise that need to be addressed. Customer service is basically constrained to follow a script that seems to weigh heavily in favor of the corporations bottom line and not the end user. I will be loath to recommend Bosch products to anyone until these systemic problems are rectified. This could be the undoing of what was once revered as a solid company as consumers find better products from other vendors. It looks like my mother just wasted $700 on a flawed product and instead has bought into the additional frustration of chasing warranty claims. I should mention that I own a now discontinued front loading Bosch clothes washing machine that recently was involved in a class action settlement (you might have guessed, for mold problems) for which I received a check in the amount of $55. That amount does not cover the cost of a new front door seal that breeds black mold every 12 months or so requiring replacement. I am on my 3rd door seal in 3 years of use. The first replacement was under warranty. The second replacement was at my expense (~$85 plus shipping plus an hour of my time to install it!).

The Bosch dishwasher doesnt dry plastic items. So the moisture in the dark dishwasher leads to bacteria growing - especially if you leave food on the dishes (after scraping). It can lead to a wet dog slobber taste on glasses. You need to wear a hazmat suit to clean this dishwasher. The bins for cutlery and the plastic and metal filter are made of a rough texture which collects food particles. It is nutty to have to wash plastic items by hand, clean the rubber around the door, and scrub the interior parts of the machine. I could wash the dishes by hand and do a better job and faster.

We just remodeled our kitchen. We really liked the Bosch Benchmark oven(s), the standard 30, the speed micro, and the steam oven, along with a warming drawer. We embraced their advertising showing these appliances all lined up along a wall, or lined up as well as one above another. Their literature touts the fact that they are all identical in appearance, backed up by the photos they display. We ordered our ovens (as well as the induction cooktop) last December for January delivery dates. Our cabinet maker had the ovens delivered to their location to be sure they built the cabinets to fit the ovens and warming drawer perfectly. We opted for a horizontal install as well as vertically - the standard oven top left with the speed micro to its right lined up horizontally. Below the standard oven is our warming drawer. Below the speed micro is the steam oven perfectly lined up vertically with the micro and horizontally with the standard oven and warming drawer. Then the electricians came out and wired them in. Immediately I noticed the number displays on the standard oven and the steam oven have large numbers in a very nice font, but the microwave has the old fashioned typical pixelated microwave numbers that I have on my old $85 dollar unit! I also noticed that the stainless steel panel that houses the controls are different in their construction! The microwave version looks cheaper! Bosch has spent a lot of money on the advertising concentrating on the type of install I have - lining your ovens up horizontally and vertically - they proudly state that they are identical! They are not! Through my appliance dealer I contacted Bosch hoping that, perhaps, since my micro was built in February 2014 there might be a later run that matched. There isnt. Their answer was, Well, if you dont like it, just turn off the display on the microwave! I am floored by this attitude! It seems quite reasonable to me to expect this very simple part of the construction of these ovens to match!! Our install arrangement even makes it look worse by putting the odd one between the better ones! Well, I am stuck with them now since we had custom cabinetry built to house them. All I can do is pass on the word. Thank you for reading this.

We bought a Bosch oven 4 years ago. The self-clean function didnt work the first time we tried as there was something wrong with the door hinges. This wasnt under warranty. We always found that the oven took a long time to cook things, but didnt really give it a second thought. There was also a mystery screw that magically appeared in the warming drawer one day. 9 days ago, the glass on the door spontaneously exploded into thousands of pieces while baking at a relatively low heat. We called Bosch and scheduled service for last Wednesday. Needless to say, they refused to accept responsibility as we are beyond our warranty period. As I took apart the glass, I discovered that the missing screw was one of the three holding the glass panel in place. This should never have just fallen out. I also noticed that the door closes much better than before. We are now 9 days without our oven and there is no sign of a Bosch technician! When I spoke to the Bosch rep, I asked how to register a complaint. He referred me to their web-site - but it only allows for 250 characters. Clearly, they dont want to hear about any problems. So much for expecting that a high end company might be interested in quality. Clearly, I wont be running out to buy any more Bosch appliances.

We purchased a Bosch washer and dryer just a little over a year ago. The control unit went out on the dryer. I got the run around from customer service (warranty coverage) and finally they gave us contacts for service. The first individual failed to show up or call. So we had to call back to get some other service representatives names. The next service representative was helpful (was finally able to get clothes out of the dryer) following his direction. However, he was not able to come out for service until the following week. I called back the customer service number again and the individual was willing to order the control unit but the computer system was down and I would have to call back on Monday. When I called back, the service representative refused to order the part. After frustration, I ordered the part myself and fixed the dryer myself. Boschs warranty is not worth anything and I will not purchase another one of their appliances.

Our four year old dishwasher was issued a recall as some of the plugs were catching on fire. I did as instructed on the recall notice and an authorized repairman came to the house. He said he couldnt get the dishwasher out without damaging our floors and left. I let Bosch know and they suggested that we get a quote to have the granite countertops removed, so that the repairman could get in. I asked for another dealer but they didnt want another repairman. I called our contractor to remove the dishwasher and the repairman came back to change the plug but refused to put back the dishwasher. The contractor came back to re-install the dishwasher and the dishwasher top rack and sprayer were now broken. Bosch got the fire hazard fixed so they are off the hook for that, but I am left with a broken dishwasher and their so called customer service wont respond. When researching new appliances, all the reviews seemed to be negative, regardless of manufacturer. It seemed that nobody posted positive reviews. I bought all four Bosch appliances in March 2017 and had a problem with the refrigerator dripping water inside the box which had pooled under the pull-out chiller drawer. I called the Bosch people and they immediately set up an appointment with an independent local appliance repair service. The tech came out the next day, took everything inside the refrigerator apart and contacted Bosch Techs by phone to determine the required fix. After he was done and had put everything back together, I asked what if that didnt solve the problem and he replied that I would probably get a new refrigerator. The next day it was clear the leaking wasnt fixed. I called the repair guy and he immediately started a Claim, and gave me the claim number they would send to Bosch, and a phone number for me to contact Bosch. I talked with a very nice Customer Service lady at Bosch and they emailed me a claim form to complete. I was not able to complete it immediately but took the form to the local post office to mail about five days later. When I got home from the post office, the phone rang and it was the Bosch representative confirming that they had already ordered a new refrigerator and a local installer would contact me once the unit was received. About a week later, their installers came out, removed the old refrigerator and totally set up the new one. When they left there wasnt a trace they had been there and the refrigerator was completely set up. So, I may be in the minority on these Reviews but my Bosch appliances work just fine, the Customer Service people are absolutely delightful to work with and they stood behind their product 100%. I couldnt be happier and think potential customers who study the reviews need to see a positive experience among all the negative reviews.

We called customer service and elevated the call to a supervisor who said the same thing and if we wanted to clean the glass, we would have to pay for that ourselves. 8 years ago we purchased a top of the line Bosch washer, dryer and super-quiet dishwasher. The washer and dryer have had regular service and small issues until year 4. Then in year 5, the plastic control panel on both washer and dryer began to crack. I have no idea why this happened other than design that did not incorporate enough strength to withstand operational stress. (We used the machines 2 or 3 times a week and did not mistreat them.) Initially this was a small issue and didnt matter. When the cracks needed to be held together to set the programs (duct tape!), I decided to contact Bosch. The service rep was polite, but the experience was unsatisfactory. The machines were out of warranty. Bosch offered a 20% discount on replacement panels, which ran into around $800, plus the installation, which they would not cover. I was shocked because I had equated German engineering with product quality. The dishwasher is OK, wonderfully quiet, but not esp. well designed for US use. I am disappointed in Bosch. The machines have pre-set cycles and are not set up for flexible use; they clean well, although the front loader washer needs to be cleaned once a month or the moldy smell is intolerable. I would guess that these products came to market a little early in the design process. I am writing this review to encourage any prospective Bosch buyers to look at (yes, Im saying this) machines made in the US. Whirlpool and Kenmore have well-reviewed machines with decent warranties (sometimes for added cost).

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 1 year ago. Within a month the door started popping open during the wash cycle. I called Bosch customer service and they set up a repair. They know there is a problem so they have a replacement kit called a latch stiffener. Well everything worked fine for the summer months when we return from our six months in Florida. I use the dishwasher another month and the same things started happening. I called customer service and talk to the same woman that I had spoken to last summer. She is very nice and very helpful and tried her damnedest to get me a replacement dishwasher. The company told her since there had only been one repair they could not replace the dishwasher that I would have to have a second repair done on it. So that is scheduled for next week but I also had her note in my account that this is the second repair on the same dishwasher for the same problem as I am now out of warranty. There are only two of us in the house so the dishwasher does not get run that often. When it does work it cleans the dishes nicely and it is very quiet. I agree the racks are not the greatest and they do fall off the track and you have to look them up to try to get them back on but that I can deal with. Running 8 minutes and having the door pop open is not acceptable.

I do not have whether anyone managed to get help in France or in Cyprus for Bosch appliances? Trying to contact them, for both fridge and stove problems, to no avail. The French number is out of date and the Cypriot one does not exist. Bosch only wants to sell but does not seem to be willing to keep their customers in the long-run. Lesson duly learned and the word will be spread.

I bought a brand new refrigerator, but there are parts that I can not install as the manual is not clear about them. So, I thought I will call and ask. No such luck: calls are disconnected, they hung up on me, they say that I have to hang up and they call back - and never do, I can hear them and they do not hear me....I wrote email to their web site, got an automated reply but no call back....I am so frustrated I am thinking of returning the whole thing, because I dont trust the company.

I have been dealing with a non-working tankless water heater for about a week, and Bosch customer service keeps telling me from pictures I sent that the install is incorrect. I have had many technicians come into my home and verify the setup and that Bosch, a reputable company, should accommodate us. Its been under 5 years since we have used these units and with not having hot water for almost a week and the countless phone calls to Bosch and emails with pictures, I am resorting to going to the Better Business Bureau. We had the town of Clifton verify everything before they issued us a Certificate of Occupancy. This CO would not be issued if a potential threat was posed due to incorrect installation. We also called Clifton City Hall, who said install was done according to city code. Of two, only one tankless water heater works. I will mention all over social media how Bosch treated this situation and my overall experience. We had to pay multiple amounts to the plumbers who visited our home, who ended up telling us this is something Bosch should be handling for us. Where is Bosch when this customer needs them to help? The 15 year warranty is mighty easy to void isnt it. Also, if Bosch is so confident that the install is incorrect, why doesnt Bosch come here and take a look themselves? Id appreciate a response as this is getting extremely frustrating.

Nice dishwasher but horrible customer service from Bosch. Kept getting E24 message, after only having dishwasher a few months. Called Bosch, no service available for about three weeks from BOSCH. Was told there were authorized subcontractors and was given several numbers. Most of them did not even service my area. Called Bosch and informed them. Even spoke to a supervisor who gave me additional numbers that were not valid. Once again the dishwasher is under warranty but Bosch customer service was very poor. In the end I was able to fix the problem myself.

We bought a set of Bosch washer and dryer that was rated top of the line. We have had nothing but problems for 2 years. Of course we paid top dollar expecting top performance. We have had servicemen out too many times to count. Each time the problem was fixed it really never was. We called repairmen approved by Bosch, called the Bosch hotline, etc. The washer does not clean the clothes properly. They still stink no matter what kind of detergent or fabric softener we use (we have tried them all). In addition, the dryer does not dry. It takes 3 hours to dry one load. We have to start the dryer and then let it cool down and repeat. With a family of four, this does not work. We will be junking these and getting good old Maytag.

I purchased a Bosch front loader washer about a year-and-a-half ago. Since then I have had a service technician at my house no less than 7X and I have also replaced a part on my own. The part I replaced which was shipped from the Bosch company was deemed faulty by the technician that came to re-replace the part. I have had several parts fail on this machine. I am extremely displeased with the companys lack of concern, accountability and action in this matter. Even as I write this review I am listening to the lock on my washer click in and out. Hopefully it will land on unlock and I can get my clothing from it.

Bosch Energy Star tankless hot water heater refused to start. 45-minute wait for tech help. Every fix they told me to try failed. Average time on the phone each time 1 hr 45 min. I went through the same dog and pony show each time. I was told to purchase a $50.00 part at their authorized parts house. Part out of stock. It took 15 days with express shipping. The part did not cure the problem. By this time we have gone one month without hot water (in the winter in Idaho). They stonewalled us at every turn. I finally talked to a female in sales who told me I didnt know what I was doing. In frustration I ripped out the Bosch and replaced it with a Rinnai tankless. What a nice unit - problem-free.And when you call, there is no wait, and their techs listen and answer each point. Not the negative attitude you get from Bosch. My best friend had similar experience with his Bosch dishwasher. Neither of us will ever purchase anything from BOSCH. As a note, yesterday I went to the auto parts to get an in-tank fuel pump for my Corvette. Needless to say, I didn’t buy the Bosch. I purchased the more expensive Delco. I also let them know why.

The unit was very hot around electronic panel with burning odor. I had an experienced appliance technician in to repair it. He said he has never seen anything like this. The entire unit is fried, even the fan and wise that it was disconnected because if it had not been disconnected, it could have caused a serious fire. I have had several microwaves of different brands in homes over the years. I still have 2 of them after 13 years without an incident. Thank you, Sharp. Do not buy this junk. If you are considering buying a Bosch fridge freezer, be aware that they have chosen to design the light fitting for the cold water/ice dispenser so that you have to buy a complete replacement module and pay for them to visit your home to fit. Likely cost of all this will easily exceed £200/$300 - just to change a light! Ours lasted less than 3 years, so this would be an expensive fridge if we paid Bosch every time it failed. Next time, well go for a make that doesnt deliberately design products to make money in scams like this. Hope this helps others to avoid getting ripped-off by Bosch.

The seller I purchased this from initiated a customer service call and they did send out a repair person to look at the oven. He took pictures and said the cavity is unrepairable. After calling them again to get a final response they said the oven works fine and it is only cosmetic. I agree, but this is not minor cosmetic. We are/were 20-year loyal Bosch dishwasher owners. They run quietly and efficiently. But in early March, 2018 we opened the door and the top panel (facia) came off! We tried snapping it back in, then called our handyman. He found that several plastic parts had broken off or were missing from the panel. So we called Bosch to order a new facia panel. It was just under $100 w/ shipping! First send was broken, 2nd send was missing a section, and the 3rd send was sent with a threat that if we didn’t have this handled by an authorized Bosch service person, our warranty would be cancelled. Our handyman is $50 per call, the Bosch “expert” approximately twice that! So, when our trusted handyman began putting it altogether, he found that each little part of the facia needed to be bought separately! The shiny handle clipped in, the cover for the power button which allowed access to the button, and the rocker buttons all had to be ordered SEPARATELY!!! This is now late April and finally we have ended our nightmare with Bosch customer service. Needless to say, this ends our 20-year relationship with Bosch products made with same cheap plastic as any other brand. VERY disappointing!

Bosch hotline told us to run the defrost cycle. Hmm... how do you do that on an auto defrost fridge? So 4 weeks later the whole thing is broken. The refrigerator no longer cools properly and the entire defrost system needs to be replaced. Of course no parts available - so here we are in the summer in the heat of South Carolina. Purchased 2 dishwashers from Sears. One went to daughter. Hers broke down in first month of having it. Customer service gave us two repair companies to call. Repairman came out and had to call Bosch to have them walk through what to do in finding out what is wrong. Finally after a couple of calls, parts had to be ordered. I called customer service when I found out part was on backorder for 2 or more weeks. They explained part had just come in that day but would not go out to repair service for at least 10 days or so. I explained that she had the machine for about a month and now it is going to be out of service for that long. Customer service said they would expedite it. They would call and let us know it was on way. I had to call again because now a second or third part I didnt know about is on backorder. Has been 2 weeks and no one has let us know how things are going. Will not buy Bosch again. Customer service is pitiful. I worry my machine will break down now. Thought Bosch was a good company. I talked to so many customer service people and they didnt know what was going on. Talked to a manager and she was condescending and no help. No thanks, Bosch is worthless.

This is our second Bosch dishwasher. The first one died within a year and was replaced (though it took ages). We loved the way it worked, esp. the silence of it, but were surprised by the failure of a new appliance. The customer service was not great. New house, new DW: this one died within 11 months of purchase and installation. And I am a super-neat-freak the dishes are almost clean when they go in dishwasher user. But still, this new Bosch died 11 months in, and 5 weeks after reporting the problem were still being given the run-around.After trying to replace the board and sensor unit on site this past week, the service guys hauled it away, damaging my cabinetry. And suddenly (lo, presto!) we now, 2 days later, have a leak under our sink, which is adjacent to the DW, from where they pulled the fill/drain hoses and did god knows what. Next time I will camp over their shoulders, video camera on. So: 5 weeks after reporting the Bosch units failure, we have no dishwasher, and are unable to use our kitchen sink. I am disgusted.

We got a real nice deal from Lowes on a Bosch electric range. We had been looking all over for a new one during a slight remodel. Saw the range for approx. half price - clearance - and jumped on it... Our budget (or interest) really did not include thinking high-end. The range is great, with all the bells and whistles we wouldnt have gotten otherwise - quick heating ribbon elements, convection, roasting, and warming oven features, nice black glass finish. Plus, it gets light use from us two empty-nesters. Then about 2 months ago, the glass panel on the oven door just plain fell off! (How can anyone make something that just sits there and then falls apart!?) Luckily, it didnt break. Upon investigation, wifey found a screw in the storage drawer but there are 3 screw holes holding it on via bottom brackets. Looked to me as though the other 2 screws had never been put in. Not only I, but my PhD Mechanical Engineer son-in-law, could not figure out how to get the panel back on... After fooling with it for 2 weeks, I finally bit the bullet and pretty much disassembled the entire oven door to get it back together. During this ordeal, the plastic strip on the top of the door also broke. It now awaits my precision application of super glue to fix. Havent done that yet just because Im sick of fooling with the thing. I will say that during this deal, I called the Bosch hotline for some expert advice, and the guy I spoke to was as friendly and compassionate as any of his breed I have ever dealt with. But even though we both had the same web page in front of us, he cheerfully admitted he was clueless as to how to get the panel back on. All he could suggest was replacing the entire oven door, even though he agreed that that was overkill for the problem which compared to the Bosch dishwasher we bought about a year and a half ago (i.e., now out of warranty)... well, I only thought I knew what an appliance problem was until I met the Bosch SHE3AR5XUC!! It will not drain completely. The detergent will not dispense. The dishes will not dry, let alone sanitize. It is noisy... It is a **. According to my web-based research, I can take it apart and see if something is stuck in the pump impeller, and take more apart and replace or somehow fix the detergent dispenser... Oh, yeah, thats me. Like so many other posters here, we felt pretty good about ourselves having a kitchen with so-called high end appliances. Instead, we feel as though we got suckered into thinking life would be a breeze with the wonderful Bosch stuff in our all-electric dream kitchen. I intend over the next few days to visit the big-box retailer we got our D/W from and state that the only remedy is total replacement. I doubt they will go for that. I will then go to another big-boxer and buy a new D/W. My advice to anyone who has read this far and is considering getting a Bosch anything... your life is too short and your time too valuable to roll the Bosch dice.

Do not buy Bosch if you expect a good experience with any customer service
Do not buy Bosch if you expect a good experience with any customer service needs. At the end of 2017 I renovated my kitchen and purchased all Bosch appliances. In May 2019 the magnetron of my microwave failed. Granted, it was now out of warranty, but why the magnetron should have failed so soon was unimaginable. The Sharp microwave I replaced had worked seamlessly for 30 years. The repair cost me almost $400 (the microwave was $1200). I contacted Bosch by email and by phone and was told there was nothing they could do in consideration of this premature (my word) need for such a repair. Perhaps it might have been different if I had reported this prior to authorizing the repair (I did use the preferred repair service on the Bosch website). How was I to know that?! I told the supervisor I spoke with, as well as the customer service rep that emailed me, that they could expect poor reviews posted on as many websites as I could find. No one seemed to care. Buy these appliances at your own peril.

April 25th 2017 we took our new refrigerator home. Everything was fine until August 21 it stopped cooling. Called Factory Direct Appliance because I bought the extended warranty and they said to call Bosch. So I called Bosch and they set me up with a ticket and recommended a repair place that services their appliances. That company is called At Your Service repair and they are as bad or worse than Bosch. They couldnt come out for a week. So a week without a fridge and when he shows up tells me that they have to order the part. A circuit board that tells the compressor to kick on. Tells me it will be a week and a half before they get it and sets a time to come back out. That day approaches, the Friday after Labor Day, and I hadnt heard from anyone so I called them. They proceed to tell me that the part is on backorder and they have no idea when it will get here. So I waited a week or two and decided to call Bosch again. They tell me that it is on backorder until December. So I said no problem, replace my refrigerator. They said send us proof of purchase and the diagnostic from the repair shop so I did. Another week goes by and I hear nothing. So I call Bosch again, and now they miraculously found the part from Appliance Parts Depot. Meanwhile the repair place has closed the ticket because they were told it would be replaced. So Bosch says that they are sending the part to At Your Service. I call at At Your Service and they know nothing of it. Keep in mind here who is doing all the calling. Neither of these outfits called or cared how I was doing, if I was taken care of or if I was happy or satisfied. So now when I call one they send me to the other and vice versa. So now they do not want to replace my refrigerator and in fact are putting an aftermarket part in it. In a week it will be 2 months without a refrigerator and I am still the one calling trying to get answers and just get my appliance replaced. Bosch sucks. I was looking at buying a Bosch table saw, cordless drills etc. because I liked the way they perform but I will never buy anything Bosch because they dont stand behind their product and they definitely dont care about their consumers.

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine.
In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.
