I purchased this Bosch dishwasher and had it installed by a licensed contractor in Sept 2015. I immediately noticed that the dishes were not clean and neither is the silverware. If you use the most powerful setting, sometimes they get clean IF I prewash everything. I find it ironic that this dishwasher is so quiet because it isnt doing the job. I would never purchase another machine from Bosch. I will go back to Whirlpool which cleaned large loads with no problems. The configuration of the racks is horrible. Cannot fit very many things in this dishwasher. I hate this dishwasher and it wasnt cheap.

Good washer.. overall.... but was very surprised I am forced to put the blue rinse fluid in it or it will not operate. The pegs that hold the dishes are oddly spaced on the bottom rack and have little flexibility and it is often hard to put dishes and pans in there. Also frustrating to have 2 removable silver trays.. replaced it with one large one. Wish there was one for the top rack instead as the problems with the bottom rack leave it with fewer items.

Waiting for over 2 months for the power cord on our Bosch dishwasher to be replaced. Cannot be used due to fire hazard. Bosch rep impossible. Tried to push blame for delay on their required service rep. The serv. rep has spoken with us 4 times and is very proactive and very reliable. (Weve used him before.) He cant replace the part if its not sent to him. Weve had it with the run around from Bosch!

It cleans OK but lacks a good drying feature. I had a lower model previously and it worked much better than this higher end one. Silverware is still dirty at times, pans and glasses still wet. I love the light at the bottom showing its on because it is so quiet. It has a 3rd shelf, a variety of ways to arrange dishes by either leaving the tines up or down. It seems to be smaller than the older models. Very sleek, hidden controls. The light at the bottom showing it is on almost bleeds across the floor. The lower end model I had before didnt do this, just a red dot. Ive had this one exchanged and it still bleeds all over the floor. Just not up to snuff, like the older, less expensive model was.

The online registration doesnt work. So I wasted about half an hour trying it several times and calling the help center. How frustrating! Then I find out that you cant call anyone for help with online registration or to let them know it doesnt work. To make things worse, I asked not to get ads and information in my email account, but I started getting it immediately from a no-reply address with no unsubscribe capability. I havent even tried using the dishwasher yet, but so far Bosch has blown it.

We bought our Bosch Dishwasher from Appliances Connection 2/12/2012, it arrived on 2/22/2012. Our contractor hooked it up on 2/27/2012, he ran a rinse cycle all seemed fine. We ran our first real dishwasher load on the 27th and it kept showing an E-15 error, the dishwasher did not ever finish the first real job. We called Appliances Connection, they told us this is a Bosch problem and they must do the repair work per the warranty. We have had two repair dates with the authorized Bosch repair technician. On March 6th, the Bosch repair tech said that it must be the pump that needs to be replaced. He also confirmed our plumber had made all the correct water connections. On March 14th, another Bosch repair tech came and worked over 2 hours on the dishwasher and could not get it fixed. We contacted Bosch and discussed the problem with their associate. We requested a replacement of our new dishwasher immediately. They made it clear this was not going to happen, as it is new and they will continue to repair until corrected. This is not right! This dishwasher is a lemon. We paid $866 for this machine and almost a month later, we still have only a broken down, unusable dishwasher. (For us that is an incredible amount of money as we are both senior citizens.) Even the repair technicians were frustrated with the way they were communicated to by the Bosch technologist who was giving them instructions on how to fix the machine (they do not have a repair booklet even for their authorized repair techs). I am totally unhappy and disgusted with their service. They should not be allowed to let their customers be held hostage to a brand new, broken dishwasher. What is our recourse now? Please help me in any way to make this right. I see your box below, we cannot afford an attorney. Thank you.

I have a washing machine and it has PCB malfunction. The repair technician visited 9 days ago and ordered the parts from Bosch. Since Bosch has monopoly of the repair services, the parts are not available in open market. Hence no one except for the Bosch can repair the machine. Now I have to rely on Bosch to fix the machine at a cost dictated by Bosch. It has already been 15 days my washing machine is not working. When called Bosch customer care, they are totally unaware of the status of the parts delivery. This is going to be my last purchase of a Bosch appliance. Really disappointed and unexpectedly fooled by such a big brand name.

Paid $1100 for Bosch Dishwasher Silence 49 - it is terrible. Within one year it wasnt cleaning properly, and I clean the filter regularly. So I took to not only rinsing the dishes, but wiping them too! Now at 2 years it runs through cycles over and over again. Stops at random through the cycle and when you open it and press start again it sometimes starts at the beginning of the cycle. I do not recommend Bosch dishwashers at all. I had better results from the cheap one I took out.

I owned a Bosch dishwasher which worked well for 15 years before the timer broke. I did not hesitate to purchase a new Bosch based on my prior experience. If you are thinking of buying one (MODEL SHP65TL5UC) and do not want to throw lots of money out the window and be dissatisfied, I would advise you to seek a different brand. First of all, the dishes do not dry thoroughly and come out with a weird slightly damp feeling even when using a Rinse Aid and normal cycle plus sanitize feature. I have tried to use this beefed up normal cycle with the sanitize cycle even with very lightly soiled dishes and even when the dishwasher is half full because the economy cycle gave me very damp dishes and actually wet plastic bowls. Even with the sanitize cycle which provides extra heat, the bottoms of coffee cups or bowls need to be dried with a towel. Why put things in the dishwasher if you are still drying them??Secondly, there is an ugly smell when you open the dishwasher. I took out the filter and there is about a cup of water that I was told stays at the bottom of the dishwasher at all times (just got this information from Bosch Customer Service). I run this dishwasher twice a week so this same water is just sitting there in an enclosed container for days on end so no wonder the water smells rank - and I have beautiful sparkling sweet tasting well water. How can Bosch deliver a product with such inferior design flaws? I can see from the reviews that many people are having these same problems so Customer Service cannot pretend they never heard this complaint. I intend to pursue this Bosch because I have owned this product for only two weeks and refuse to be stuck with such a bad dishwasher but poor performance with ridiculous design flaws. I guess Bosch is resting on former laurels because I would rank this as a big 0 if there was that option here.

I purchased a new Bosch refrigerator at Best Buy less than a year ago for almost $3,000. The fridge broke in less than a year and when I reached out to Bosch to get a repair they sent me to a third party company that sent out a person who evaluated the fridge and said we needed parts to fix it. They ordered parts, after 2 weeks they told me the parts on back order. I called Bosch directly and they said the parts were being ordered directly from them and they are not on back order. So they suggested to send their own technician to come and fix the fridge with the parts. The technician they sent a week later had no idea why he was there and had no parts. They needed to send a different technician the following week. When he finally arrived he said the fridge is broken and needed to be replaced that it cannot be repaired. Bosch a week later after their process said that fridge is discontinued and they needed to order a different model that is also the same size and cost. We waited another 2 weeks for that fridge and when that finally came it was the wrong size. My 73 year old parents have been without a properly working fridge for over a month. They lost money on spoiled food and having to eat out and had to buy another small fridge to be able to live. The customer representatives seem extremely unorganized, unprofessional. I have never had such a terrible experience. This company is a nightmare to deal with. Im not sure how this will be resolved but we have lost money and lots of time and stress and still dont have the right fridge in place.

I am having issues with a brand new oven/microwave combo that keeps breaking. The Bosch service department does not have their act together, so they keep postponing my appointment, and they are not very apologetic about it either. I tried to write a negative review on their website, but it was reviewed by them and not posted. They only post the good reviews of their product. This is symptomatic of a company that is not transparent about their business.

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.

I bought a Bosch - 7kg Top load washing machine 9 months back from Croma (Bangalore). Due to some technical issues, we have raised a complaint and the technician identified the issue is with the panel and needs to be replaced. As there was no update after 5 days I have called both Bosch & Croma customer care to check further on this. Unfortunately, they also did not have many updates regarding that and they said they will escalate to a higher level. Now it has been 30 days without any progress or update. I have sent multiple emails and called multiple times to customer care but no use. I was using a Whirlpool washing machine for last 8 years and I was getting good service from that vendor. I really regret to choose the Bosch washing machine this time. Friends, If you are in Bangalore (I am not sure about the service in other parts of India) better avoid buying Bosch as its service is pathetic. After all this frustration, either you need to wash your clothes with your own hands or need to buy a backup Washing machine as well!

We purchased our 800 Series from Lowes. I wish I had returned it. The wheels on the lower rack were poorly designed (product manager should be fired). If there are any dishes in the lower rack, you cannot pull the rack out. Its frustrating to struggle with this everyday, and with the price we paid, I really expected a better dishwasher. I have called customer service three times. They have been no help - instead, they wanted to send out a service person. (Can you fix bad design?) The last agent said, Oh, we have a fix for that now - has anyone offered to send you the fat wheels. The wheels were not wider, and they were not a fix. The rack constantly gets rolls off track and gets stuck inside the dishwasher. So - if youre going to purchase any Bosch at all - you might want to try putting a few plates into the bottom rack and see if it pulls out. This one bad design feature overshadows the third rack for silverware and any other nifty features. If you cannot get the most important design right, the rest do not matter. Oh, and you must thoroughly prewash your dishes as this 800 Series cannot do the job on its own.

Purchased Bosch dishwasher model # SHE3AR5UC/21 on June 22,2015. It was installed on June 26,2015. Has not worked correctly since it was installed. Thought maybe because it was new we were doing something incorrectly, so followed instructions to the tee. Still the button to switch the wash modes would not move from one to another. Would run for 3 hours or more, dishes would be soaking wet, water would remain in bottom of dishwasher causing a stale stagnant water smell. Called 800 # woman on phone, had us try to do a couple things that did not work and informed us that we needed to call repairman which we did and we have to wait until July 14th for a person to come fix it. Today is July 5th. Pay this much money for an appliance, would expect much better service. I am telling everyone not to buy one!!!

This is a great dishwasher. Cleans dishes etc very well. One of the things I really like about this dishwasher is that it has a pan beneath it and if the washer leaks the dish catches it and has a sensor/valve that will shut the machine off. I had another model and it leaked and I had to repair the ceiling in my basement. Very well made and designed.

In the afternoon on 11/6 a customer service rep called me and advised me the exchange was approved and I would have to wait 7-10 business days.On 11/14/18 I called because I had not heard from them and was told that the approval had not been sent to the exchange department and was assured it was sent through that day. Now they tell me I will have to wait another 7-14 days to find out what model the exchange is approved for and when that may take place. Customer service reps are rude and do not provide their name. In the last few months I bought a trimmer from Amazon and was delighted with the product, however recently the battery started to spark and the trimmer now doesn’t work. I called up the service centre 2 days ago, I spoke to the most delightful lady who was really helpful and explained to me what the process was to get the trimmer fixed. Explained that I would need to print off a courier label that will need to be taped to a box that will hold trimmer because the a third party courier will be picking it up. I explained I don’t have a printer at home and live a in a small remote village and will not be sure when I can get to a printer. She said that it’s fine and that she will send me a pre print receipt and I can print that and then call her back to sort out a delivery.I didn’t receive the email with the label so I decided to call back today to try and get it sent back to me. I dial the number and give my reference number and let the man know I’m waiting for an email. To my surprise the man on the phone was rude and unprofessional, belittling me by saying that is not the process and that I need to arrange it and then get the email to me once it’s been processed.I try to explain the situation with the printer to get the label. He said, No need for a label but you need proof of purchase in the box. I said well printing is not really an option for me because of my situation to which he gave me ‘tough luck’ attitude. Then went on to say, Well do you want to arrange it or not? I replied to enquiry can I arrange it for a future date, which he said, No. We only do it 24 hours in advance, then he was of no help and pressured me to answer like I didn’t have time to even think about whether this is an option for me. And then he went on to say, The previous person you spoke to told you the wrong information. I’ll look up who it is and have them retrained. Disgusting attitude bad mouthing your own colleagues like that. This has been one of my worst experiences with customer services given my initial interaction was one of the most pleasantest conversations. Poor customer service and I’ll be glad this is the last time I buy from you again.

I was purchased washing machine Bosch 8 kg- fully automatic- front load (WAT24463IN) from Amazon in 14 April 19 and installed in 27 April 19. First, I start from installation, at the time of installation water inlet pipe connector to tap worth Rs. 350 charged by Bosch service eng. and water tap also changed. Machine installation delayed due to shortage of length of wire plug to attach electric board from machine, purchase 350 Rs extension box due to shortage of length in plug wire. During first usage outlet water washed away in whole room, due to shortage of water outlet pipe, again purchased 250 Rs additional pipe. After usage within 04 month on dated 17 Jul 19 the power control board of machine got worse (fuse) & machine stop working. Within 04-month machine got damaged & covered the same in warranty usage, means there is no guarantee of product after warranty period of 2 years. After asking to service eng. of Bosch he is telling you want to purchase stabilizer for same, again purchased stabilizer of Rs 4000 from Bosch service eng. The compatibility of product not good, after purchase again you want to pay extra more than 5000+ for other unnecessary things. After call to Amazon customer care for extended warranty they were telling within 90 days you want purchase extended warranty for product from booking date. It means they knows the product quality to aware for providing 90 days for extended warranty period, 2 years warranty for cover & after that usage of customer for profit. This is the asset for customer by investing 30 to 40 thousand, they played after 2 years by taking much more charges for part replacement & breakdowns, this is worst strategy of Bosch to deal with customers.

Worst dishwasher weve ever had - does not hold many dishes as the racks are tiny. Forget about putting bowls in the lower rack, if you do you cant add plates as they bump up against each other. The lower rack falls off the track if the bottom rack is fully loaded and then you have to pick it up and try to get it back on track. The SMELL - OMG, since day one we have removed the strainer in the bottom, rinsed it and allowed it to dry in between washings - noticed an inch of water in the well at the bottom - which adds to the smell. Called repair and they simply state, Thats the design. Well let me tell you the design sucks!Never in my many, many years of owning dishwashers have I EVER dealt with a smell like this. It is embarrassing when you have company and open it as the entire kitchen ends up smelling like a TRASH HEAP! So now we buy deodorizers to keep the smell at bay, and rinse agent to help the dishwasher do its job, and detergent, and dishwasher cleaner, 4 products - unreal. Who knows maybe they are in cahoots with the manufacturers of these products (or who knows maybe they are the ones who make them - because their dishwasher SUCKS! Did I say that already?).

Bosch provided me a the worst service experience of my life! After less than 3 years the ice maker in my refrigerator/freezer stopped working. I contacted customer service and no one answered, so I went online and made a request for service. I got a call back 5 days later at which time I was told they couldn’t make an appointment because there was a systems problem and I should call back. That should have clued me of what was to come. Service was finally sent out after waiting more than a month for an open appointment. When service arrived they checked my water dispenser and told me my ice maker needed to be replaced. So I agreed and was told the new part needed to be ordered by me.I ordered the replacement ice maker and it was not available due to back order for more than 3 months! That’s ridiculous! Finally the part was available and service came out and told me the unit didn’t need replacing. It was just the “fill“ arm needed replacing. THIS WAS THE SAME TECHNICIAN THAT INITIALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM 4 MONTHS EARLIER! After which the service rep said it was fixed. Needless to say it was not fixed and then I rescheduled a service call. When the unit was in fact replaced by a different tech. And I was charge almost $500 for the privilege of waiting 4 months for replacing an ice maker that I suspect, never needed it to begin with. I will never buy a Bosch appliance and I am telling everyone I know to do the same.

Bought a Bosch SHE3 series about three years ago. It did not clean or dry dishes from day one but I thought I caused the problems. After reading the complaints, I am not alone. I tried everything. This unit does not clean tea stains, coffee stains, fruit stains, dry food or much else. Very long cycles leave dishes wet. I am not contacting customer service. I will just replace it with another brand. It is the worst appliance I ever purchased and will never buy Bosch again. Ill bet Bosch engineers dont have one in their home.

I have had 2 repair reps at my home to pretty much tell me that this $800 dishwasher to be ran daily to avoid the terrible smell. In all my years of using a dishwasher have I ever had to run it daily. It would only have a few dishes in it. This is a bad design that Bosch is just pushing off on consumers. Beware - don’t buy unless you like a nasty smell In your kitchen.. They don’t care, they say it’s working as designed....

Youd expect this issue with a fridge that 10+ years old. NOT 3!! I paid $1700!! I called customer service and was told that there is nothing they can do, Its a man made product. We just turned away our second delivery of a Lowes special order 300 series Bosch dishwasher due to damage. Really... is it too much to ask for an indented face on your $700.00 dishwasher these days? Yes, it is being shipped to Hawaii to the tune of a 6-8 week delivery time and many people have handled it in the transportation process, but I believe much has to do with how Bosch is packaging the item with only thick cardboard frame pieces on the 4 ends, styrofoam corners on the top and thick plastic wrap holding it all together. There is no protection to the face or sides. For an international company, you would think they would be more conscientious about how they protect their product before it gets to the end user. Will have to think seriously before I order a third one!

We are/were 20-year loyal Bosch dishwasher owners. They run quietly and efficiently. But in early March, 2018 we opened the door and the top panel (facia) came off! We tried snapping it back in, then called our handyman. He found that several plastic parts had broken off or were missing from the panel. So we called Bosch to order a new facia panel. It was just under $100 w/ shipping! First send was broken, 2nd send was missing a section, and the 3rd send was sent with a threat that if we didn’t have this handled by an authorized Bosch service person, our warranty would be cancelled. Our handyman is $50 per call, the Bosch “expert” approximately twice that! So, when our trusted handyman began putting it altogether, he found that each little part of the facia needed to be bought separately! The shiny handle clipped in, the cover for the power button which allowed access to the button, and the rocker buttons all had to be ordered SEPARATELY!!! This is now late April and finally we have ended our nightmare with Bosch customer service. Needless to say, this ends our 20-year relationship with Bosch products made with same cheap plastic as any other brand. VERY disappointing!

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a a service tech to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained. I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didnt. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

This is one of the few true slide-in ranges left on the market that overlap the counter on each side. The cooktop is powerful, with great temp control and flexible configuration. The oven bakes so perfectly and evenly, it made me realize what I had been missing for years with my old oven. The convection settings work great, as does the proof setting and the warming drawer. Best range I’ve ever owned.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher because I liked the 3rd rack feature, the super quiet rating, and seemingly good reputation. This dishwasher does Not clean the cups or glasses. The glasses taste like soap and the cups are still dirty inside. The repair came out twice, changed the soap dispenser, told me not to use rinse aide, to always use the heavy setting and extra dry. The glasses are better, but the cups are not and I have to wash all the cups before they go into the machine. It can be hard to arrange the dishes in the lower rack. I have bent some of the tines to make a 9x13 baking dish fit.We bought this dishwasher and a GE range the same day, it took 2 months for delivery. Apparently, Bosch starts the warranty before the consumer actually has the product. The GE Range is still under warranty, while the Bosch dishwasher is not. GE starts the warranty upon delivery, not purchase, which seems much more fair to the consumer. Bosch warranty and service were both not much help. How a warranty can start before the product is in your home being used is ridiculous and unfair. But it doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t even a good dishwasher. We do Not recommend Bosch. Go GE.

I always thought of Bosch as a company with high quality standards and good customer service and over time had to change my mind to never wanting to buy Bosch again and having shared this opinion with friends and family to avoid their frustration and disappointment. The dishwasher trays holding plates were so rigid in the beginning that they chipped my china – maybe I should feel lucky as the Bosch dishwasher of our friends went up in flames, even their model/serial number was not on the recall. The washer requires always additional rinses to remove the soap (or at least most of it) and the 4000$ cooking range broke down after 2.5 year with an electronic board having failed and needing replacement. Bosch does not provide service once the appliance is out of warranty and their spare parts are ridiculously expensive.

The refrigerator was brand new and a near out of box failure, working less than 24 hours. On 4/23/15 When I first contacted Bosch, the care rep advised the first available appointment was 8 days later, May 1st between 12-5. When my husband called, frustrated, to see if there was any earlier availability for someone to come out, there was nothing in the system. The next earliest time became 4/28, where the technician found it needs a new main board and inverter. I have gone back to Goedekers Appliances, where I bought this thing asking that they pick it up, refund my money and I will buy something else. They maintain I must work through Bosch. Bosch on the other hand, called me once to promise a decision by last Friday (5/1/15) and never called me back. We have medications for family members that must be refrigerated not to mention the substantial loss in food that spoiled. None of this apparently matters. I had to threaten spreading the news, going to the press, Facebooking my story to finally get to a supervisor. I think when one has an out of box failure, it is reasonable to expect that someone will be out within the week to resolve any and all issues, whether that be a full replacement of the fridge, a loaner fridge or what have you. As this circus has taken this long with my having to stop my work day to project manage Bosch for status, what I had been asking for since 4/28/15 is either a full complete refund or a brand new Fridge. Being ignored thusly, today, I demanded a full refund from Bosch and for them to get this thing out of my kitchen by COB today. Suddenly now they can get a technician out today! I said yes, get your tech out here to take this fridge and provide me a full refund. Your time to repair this thing has passed. Get it out of my kitchen. And I hung up on ** supervisor in customer care at Bosch 800-944-2904. So he called me back, confirmed my name and hung up on me! NOW THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER CARE!!! When I buy most anything, even a car, within 24 hours, I can get a full refund. If I buy a bad pair of pants, I get better service. Very angry.

12 year old double oven needed electronics replaced 6 or 7 years ago. Now two different companies have sent technicians out six or seven times and no one can repair it. Pretty much all electronic boards and touch pads replaced multiple times to no avail. lt resets itself spontaneously for date & time randomly for no reason we can figure out. What seems to be happening is the following: if we are in a cooking mode, such as sabbath mode, and the date and time resets while the oven is on, it becomes impossible to turn the oven off. When the reset screen is on pushing the off button does not change the display, and appears to do nothing. When the date and time has been reset even though the Sabbath mode is still on, the screen does not show it. Pushing the off button also does not change the display and nothing happens. It seems that we need to reset the date and time first and then turn the same sabbath mode on again and once it is on again then it will shut off.The odds of this happening during sabbath mode operation is the greatest as that mode is on for 24 hours at a minimum at a time. Although I suppose the clock could reset itself during any cooking mode. This is potentially dangerous as the oven may inadvertently be left on, and I cannot actually determine that it remains at exactly the same temperature and mode it was in before the reset happened. In fact, earlier the oven we just continue to get hotter and hotter heating up the wall around it until we turned off the main circuit breaker. We paid almost $1,000 for service. What do we do now?

We installed this new oven last year and decided to run the self cleaning option. We did not pull the telescopic oven tray out prior to running the cleaning option. Apparently the high heat ruined the parts involved with the telescopic action. It would have been nice to have had a warning label on the tray or perhaps the dealer might have mentioned this. I currently use a Bosch SHE4AM dishwasher. The reason the Overall experience is lower than the other ratings is that I have several dishes that just dont fit well in this dishwasher. It cleans well, doesnt leave spots (I do use a rinse agent) and dries the dishes well. And it holds lots of dishes if they are thin. If your dishes are chunky, you will have difficulty loading them and wind up washing more often with fewer dishes in the racks. I would recommend a Bosch dishwasher and will buy another, but I will probably take some dishes to the appliance store with me to see how they fit.

I purchased an Energy Star Bosch dishwasher about two years ago. It runs quietly but my main complaint is that even when I use the power wash cycle (which I always use now), the dishes just dont come out clean. I need to practically wash them before I load them in. And then after the cycle is finished, the glasses on the top rack always have food remnants on and in them. Also, the dishes sometimes are still dirty in places. I think that being an Energy Star appliance, quality and efficiency have been compromised for the sake of conserving water and electricity. In addition it probably costs me more money to pre-wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher! I also find that the silverware rack is in the wrong place. The silverware catches on the side making the rack stick when you pull it out. It also is on the other side of the dishwasher when loading. I owned a Maytag dishwasher for 12 years and loved it; I never even called a repairman. I will not buy another Bosch!

Received a Bosch dishwasher which was installed by a Richards contractor. The machine worked well for 3 months then suddenly died. We had purchased a long term service contract with Richards and were directed to their service vendor (Danmark). It took approximately 2 weeks for a serviceman to come out. He instructed us to request a new machine which we did. We were contacted by Danmark and were told Bosch requested that another part (the main circuit board which was replaced already) be re-replaced before they agreed to replace the machine. We agreed and the serviceman returned 2 weeks later and replaced the board again. Guess what, the machine still didnt work. Now frustrated, I called the store where the machine was purchased and explained the situation to a store manager. He did, in all fairness, relay my problem to Richards service department because in one hours time, I received another call from Richards. Once again I had to retell my story to this person who assured me I would hear from her the following day. Four days later, theres still no return call from Richards service department. I returned a call to the store manager, retold my story and went out of my way to thank him for effects of relaying my problem to Richards service. I asked for Richards service phone at which time this manager got annoyed (clearly in his voice) and promptly gave me a wrong number. Thank you P.C. Richards, guess youve lost another customer. $1375 may not seem a lot to you, but its a lot of money to me. Im considering a small claims suit against Richards and Bosch and will explore that option.

It’s been a year since my ice maker has stopped working. I called them to schedule a repair, I paid $1500 for a new part, the repair guy gets here, completely breaks my freezer. Now I need to throw away all my produce and wait another 2 weeks until someone gets here to fix what he broke. I year later...my ice maker is still not fixed, I have had Bosch technicians come here once a month with a new part they promised would fix my problem. (I just want to clarify that every time they are supposed to come here I take a days off of work to wait for them.) Last time Mr ** The technician gets here he simply looks at the fridge for 5 mins and says the ice maker is broken and there is nothing he can do, and he leaves - I took another day off from work to wait for him.I call Bosch customer service again (I already remember their number by heart. We have a relationship for a year now.) asking for my money back for the parts I paid for that were completely unnecessary, I also notice that my door is breaking and it needs fixing. Customer Service tells me that they need to send another technician to make sure that there really isn’t anything that they can do and then they can only refund me the money back and that they will order new parts for my door that is breaking. This was three weeks ago. The day the technician is supposed to arrive I get a call in the morning, just add that I did take the day off from work again to wait for them, I got a call in the morning from the technician telling me that the part for the door never arrived and that they need to make an appointment for another three weeks, Let me just add that my door is really about to fall off and I will not have a fridge if it does.I never write bad reviews and I’m not an angry person but Bosch has treated me so badly and so unfairly, Their customer service is The worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. They will not try and get you earlier appointments all they say is that they are sorry and that there’s nothing we can do. The only place that I can complain is here and I don’t know what else to do and now I have to wait another two weeks for somebody to come here and fix my fridge which will never get fixed at this point and I will never get my money back for all the parts that I paid for in the past year to fix my fridge. I have lost all hope and I know at least to never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever buy any Bosch appliances ever again just to not have to deal with customer service and technicians. Please be warned!!!

After fighting cheap dishwashers for years, I decided to upgrade to a quality machine to stop the bleeding of repairs. Two years and $750 in repairs later, Ive had a circuit board go out on this dishwasher and I cant be more disgusted. Save the money, buy a cheap dishwasher and replace it when it breaks. Dont spend the $900 on a Bosch unit hoping it will solve the issues; it wont, it will be more painful instead.

The control board went out on a 3 year old dishwasher SHX46A05, 5 year warranty. We were denied warranty service unless we paid a company to come out, test the unit, then pay them again to come out with the replacement part. I figured out what was wrong in 1/2 hour reading online. I offered to send them the defective part and they could test it at Bosch and save us $100s. They refused, denying us warranty coverage on the parts unless we payed labor.

DO NOT BUY BOSCH APPLIANCES. Lousy quality, terrible, unethical and helpless customer service, supervision and management policies. I currently own several thousand dollars of expensive Bosch appliances that are in my judgement and based on experience, poorly designed, poorly engineered, poorly fabricated with deficient materials & components and assembled with lousy craftsmanship Poorly made products indeed, contrary to other high quality Bosch tools, equipment and electronic components used in German made cars. The microwave oven [HMB5050/01] is sitting there for more than six months waiting for Bosch to authorize me to take it to a local dealer at no charge for their required service inspection. It is unacceptable, unreasonable and unethical that the microwave oven is totally useless after only a year+ and should have to be replaced under warranty even if it had expired a few months prior. Now, for whatever reason the SS refrigerator doors are rusting!!! badly [B26FT70SNS/04]. It is unreasonable and unacceptable for any 300 series quality ASME SS to rust in this day and age, it is terrible that your customer service rep argued on the 10 yr warranty first that it was the cleaning product we use [none-my wife will not use any chemicals] and then that warranty only covers rusted perforations!!! I understand manufacturing quality problems that escape inspection or lousy purchasing specifications for defective austenitic steels [industry wide problem] but expect for the manufacturer as reputable as Bosch [was] to back its products ethically and accordingly to the nameplate they carry. The ice maker doesnt work, the shelving pops out, and it cracks easily. The dishwasher’s [800 SERIES SHE68R55UC] text by the buttons has faded away and sometimes it doesn’t dry completely and to top it all, I did not get my full $1500 rebate from Bosch when I purchased all the appliances under a ridiculous excuse on some of the appliances [“we don’t recognize the serial numbers”]. Reading throughout the enormous quantity of negative internet posts it looks like this should be a recall issue. I was hopeful that Bosch would come through as you all have with other customers but they didn’t. Their policies are not applied in a consistent manner; A reviewer at Amazon said I was very pleased that Bosh arranged to have my microwave fixed, even though it was 3 years out of warranty. I encourage anyone with similar problems to contact them rather than rant and rave about the problem, give them a chance to make it right.” Well, not to me regrettably.

Let it be known, the Bosch website controls how many negative reviews can be posted. Mine was rejected when I complained about the lettering disappearing from the controls of my Bosch dishwasher. There are many non-Bosch website reviews critical of this issue. It would be suspicious if there were no critical reviews, so some are obviously allowed, but compare the 5 star and 1 star percentages to Amazons reviews. Quite a different story.

We bought our Bosch Ascenta Dishwasher two years ago. One year and one month to the date of purchase it quit working. Called them. They came out and fixed it. Argued with me but they fixed it. One year later, same problem. Now its out of warranty and they wont fix it. Wont even really discuss with me. How can a name brand, like Bosch, not be able to build a dishwasher that will last more than one year? Or two? And when I get customer service, how can they not care? Amazing? I asked for help and they told me to get an analysis and then UPPER MANAGEMENT will determine whether they are going to help me. Crazy. Does the president/CEO of the company have to review every single case? What a joke. I will NEVER purchase or recommend a Bosch appliance again in my life EVER.

Bought this several months ago to replace worn out dishwasher. Very expensive. Fits relatively small volume of dishes. Does ok job of cleaning but not better than a basic GE profile when new. Does NOT dry the dishes, even when using the sanitize feature and rinse aid. Have to spend extra time drying dishes at end of cycle! This dishwasher is a bust and a ripoff so far as Im concerned since they charge above average price for below average performance.

When you open the door it smells up the whole kitchen. My husband has called about this & been given instructions which have not stopped the smell. Now the dishwashing liquid dispenser does not open during cleaning. He has also called about this. They said to just put it in bottom! I was traveling from MA and was in NYC helping my family member drive to have some tooth surgery done. During my down time went online and as I recently bought the Bosch washer, I wanted to see if there was a dryer out there. Fortunately there was, it was actually an open box at this location, I had a very good experience with the service at this location and also 5* on the product itself too. I went in and was greeting Denise, she was very helpful during the whole process and even allowed my to view the dryer in person in the bay before committing to the purchase. I really liked how quick she got me checked out and was super friendly. I have to give this store 5* for quick and friendly staff. Now back to the dryer. Wow, so nice, best dryer I’ve ever owned in my life. Extremely quite and piggyback ready the washer I just bought too. If you live in a small studio or apt, these are the absolute best washer/dryers you can get for cleaning g and silent operation. One and only drawback, 220v and the hefty type, definitely check your connections first, otherwise! Love it!!!

I called in Bosch Home at 800-578-6890 mid February. My dishwasher stopped sanitizing after wash. They were very nice to me over the phone and set an appointment with a Bosh tech. On February 23, 2012, he came to my house and told me what I have to change (control panel) and charged me $305. He said that he fixed the problem and left. The same day (evening), my wife came the house to try the dishwasher—same problem. I called Bosch again and they sent back the same tech. Why doesn’t he know his own product? He was constantly on the phone with his supervisor. After he said what the problem was and that it cannot be fixed, he left. I called Bosch again and asked them what we planed to do. Rep from Bosch Home said that they switched company that’s making control panels for them and said that they will not be able to help me! I asked him if you are representing Bosch as a company with a big name and said this is not my problem if they change vendors. I cannot buy every 4 years a new dishwasher based on them saving on vendors! Also, I recommended him to just refund my $305 for the job that was never done. Customer service at Bosch refused to help me at all. Now, I am out of $305 and my dishwasher is still not working. I have to spend more money to buy a new dishwasher! I need help to resolve this matter. Thank you very much.

Bosch Energy Star tankless hot water heater refused to start. 45-minute wait for tech help. Every fix they told me to try failed. Average time on the phone each time 1 hr 45 min. I went through the same dog and pony show each time. I was told to purchase a $50.00 part at their authorized parts house. Part out of stock. It took 15 days with express shipping. The part did not cure the problem. By this time we have gone one month without hot water (in the winter in Idaho). They stonewalled us at every turn. I finally talked to a female in sales who told me I didnt know what I was doing. In frustration I ripped out the Bosch and replaced it with a Rinnai tankless. What a nice unit - problem-free.And when you call, there is no wait, and their techs listen and answer each point. Not the negative attitude you get from Bosch. My best friend had similar experience with his Bosch dishwasher. Neither of us will ever purchase anything from BOSCH. As a note, yesterday I went to the auto parts to get an in-tank fuel pump for my Corvette. Needless to say, I didn’t buy the Bosch. I purchased the more expensive Delco. I also let them know why.

My dishwasher was damaged during a lightning storm. I initially contacted customer service who gave advice, which made no sense (add rinse agent??). Called their local service rep. Rep contacted their tech dept. again and was told that was the wrong part & to order another. I had to pay for the wrong part & service call to install it. Service rep installed 2nd part, didnt work, returned it. Service rep came again & installed replacement part, didnt work. Service rep took my dishwasher to his shop and worked on it. After 4 months, without a dishwasher, and a final bill of just under $500, my dishwasher still does not perform at 100% capacity. Our four year old dishwasher was issued a recall as some of the plugs were catching on fire. I did as instructed on the recall notice and an authorized repairman came to the house. He said he couldnt get the dishwasher out without damaging our floors and left. I let Bosch know and they suggested that we get a quote to have the granite countertops removed, so that the repairman could get in. I asked for another dealer but they didnt want another repairman. I called our contractor to remove the dishwasher and the repairman came back to change the plug but refused to put back the dishwasher. The contractor came back to re-install the dishwasher and the dishwasher top rack and sprayer were now broken. Bosch got the fire hazard fixed so they are off the hook for that, but I am left with a broken dishwasher and their so called customer service wont respond. Now, I am forced to replace the dishwasher when I as the customer have done nothing wrong. Bosch cares about avoiding a lawsuit, but could give a whit about the customers experience. The company sure does not have the customers back. This whole process has taken weeks and I am completely frustrated.

Admittedly, my Bosch Oven is now over 10 years old and out of warranty. However, this is the second time that the Bosch Oven has exploded with glass shattering over the floor and the people in the kitchen. Whilst I expect some ovens to grow old, I do not expect them to explode - especially twice now. The first was when the oven was being used and the second time was when the oven had cooled down. The first time, Bosch provided some (around 40%) reimbursement. On the second contact, first impression from customer service was that they were interested, but since then, they have been notably unavailable for comment or response. I wont be recommending a Bosch Oven purchase to anyone - in fact my response would be the opposite.

Hi, On December 2, while I was self-cleaning my oven, the glass shattered. I paid extra for an extended warranty. I contacted Bill Smith Appliances where I bought the range. I also sent an email to Bosch customer services. Yesterday, 7 days later, someone from Bill Smith came out to determine the cause of the glass shatter. He indicated that it was a fault of Bosch manufacturing and the quality of the glass that was used. Today, when we called Bill Smith, they indicated that the repair had to be approved by Bosch and then the part would be ordered.According to them, it could take an additional 2 weeks before the oven was repaired. This is unacceptable! I have already been without my oven for 1 week, so if it takes 2 more weeks, I will not have my oven working for a total of 3 weeks! At this time of the year, this is extremely inconvenient because I cannot do any of my regular Holiday baking. I also tried contact Bosch. This is a nightmare! I have called them at least 20 time. The call does not go thru and I get a busy signal. Absolutely, no one answers the phone! I really dont think there even is a person available to answer!Bosch is considered to be a premium appliance brand. However, and this range is not quality and does not meet Bosch’s reputation and the price associated with it. This glass should NEVER have shattered, especially on the first time the oven was cleaned! My expectation is that the oven could be cleaned many times and survived with the glass intact. In addition, the service to repair has too much red tape and is extremely slow resulting in great inconvenience to the customer! Please speed this repair up, so that my oven will be repaired in a few days, not 2 more weeks! This is the Holiday Season. An oven is an essential appliance! Best regards, Cindy **.
