I moved into a condo last April and the drum is already broken on the dryer. Theres clearly no user error involved, but Bosch is charging me $400 to fix it because they only support their products for 12 months. Its very likely that the drum was already cracked in the first 12 months and even if it wasnt, I advise people to avoid any company that refuses to stand behind their products. Run from Bosch!

I have had Bosch Nexxt 500 Plus Series washer and dryer for about 4 years and have had nothing but problems from day one, especially with the dryer. It continues to blow a fuse. I am so fed up and disgusted, were probably just going to trash them and start over. Based on our experience with Bosch, I would never recommend it to anyone. The washer smells musty and the clothes dont always rinse (theres no rinse cycle so you have to rerun the entire cycle). Clothes rarely dry in one cycle.

We bought the TOP of the line SHEM78WH5N dishwasher thinking that it is Bosch what could go wrong? Since day 1, this dishwasher has had the SAME issue, it drains at the beginning on the cycle and then mid cycle ALWAYS gives the same issue “error: cannot drain”. Customer service kept just pushing us until warranty is over and now say, Sorry we cannot help. Extremely terrible experience for a $2000 dishwasher.

DO NOT BUY BOSCH!!! My kitchen renovation required a replacement of the brand new stove. The dishwasher was replaced at least 2 times, and thereafter required service and at the present time is noisy. The refrigerator required several service calls and replacement of the ice maker, as whenever I needed ice, there was none, or the cold cuts in the refrigerator were frozen, or the vegetables in the drawer were frozen. It is too frustrating. In the beginning, Bosch was accommodating, however, there is no assistance whatsoever although I was assured they would be there to assist with the refrigerator. Unbelievable experience. WILL NEVER BUY BOSCH AND RECOMMEND ANY OTHER BRAND!

Something terribly dysfunctional about Bosch and how they treat customers. After receiving several marketing letters pushing that I purchase a service plan because my warranty had expired, I agreed and sent a check. When my dishwasher broke I contacted Bosch and filed a maintenance request. After 10 days of silence from Bosch, I called and was told that my request would not be honored because I was still under warranty. I then contacted the service department and was told to send a copy of my purchase receipt, which I did. After another 10 days of silence, I again contacted Bosch and was told that the person handling my case had been in “training” and I should send a picture of my defective part... which I did. Again total silence from Bosch!Does anyone work at Bosch? The only efficient thing they do is cash my check. Why would they send marketing material imploring that I purchase a service plan when I’m still under warranty? The material specifically warns that my warranty had expired. Then when I ask for servicing they ignore my request then decline to honor their contract. I’ll never buy Bosch again.

I turned on the dishwasher, theres lights and sound, but no water filled on any cycle. I smelled something burning but saw no flames or smoke. I did not think it was the washer till reading here. The washer was installed on July 2005. Sounds like a planned obsolescence. After reading all the complaints, I have decided not to call for repair. I will simply replace the dishwasher with another brand and wait to hear about Bosch going out of business or a class action suit that will last forever. It is good there is a forum of consumer opinion. Instead of buyer beware, it is now provider beware. Hooray!

I purchased this washer to replace a failing stacked washer/dryer combo. I bought the Bosch set because the dryer is ventless and this just fits my townhouse better. First off, this washer is designed to plug into the back of the matching dryer (Only one 240V outlet is needed!) So far so good with this washer's results. It is very quiet and efficient. The matching dryer, while ventless still dries VERY well. I am surprised as Bosch's claim of only 8% slower than a vented dryer seems to be very accurate. This washer is designed to fit 10-14lbs of laundry per load and I can attest this is accurate and is efficient while washing and drying. The dryer will take some getting used to and messing around with the proper settings but once you figure it out it's a cinch! This is an absolutely GREAT product.

I have been happy with my dishwasher that we purchased in 2013 until 2015. That is when we noticed a prong on the lower dish rack had rusted. The dish rack has a 5 yr Limited Warranty (excludes labor charges). So I contacted Bosch and they told me the service contractors in my area. I called Samaritan Installation who ordered the part, came out and replaced my dish rack and charged me $60!!! I was upset but could do nothing but pay them. Then, I called Bosch to complain about the company they recommended and they could care less.

I purchased an Bosch 800 series dishwasher late 2018. This is my second Bosch dishwasher, I loved my first one. It was super quiet and cleaned beautifully. I cant say the same for this one. Last week it stopped working giving me an error message. I tried to troubleshoot myself. It makes a loud grinding noise, sounds like the drain pump. I called the 800 number, the call center tried troubleshoot to no avail. Scheduled service, the dishwasher is still under warranty.I requested the the latest appt in the day, to accommodate my work schedule and long story short the service department is very unaccommodating for customers that cant sit at home all day waiting to a tech. I was told they would send a list of other service vendors to who do Bosch warranty work in my community (Orlando, FL). After 2 requests for the list, still not received. My dishwasher is still not functional almost a week later. Extremely disappointed in the product and the lack of service for what is supposed to be a superior product.

We purchased what we believed to be a high-end Bosch dishwasher (Model Number SHX43 CO5UC). Were a family of 2 and use the dishwasher about every other day. After about 2 years, the pump/motor went out and the cost of repair is approaching $500 plus labor. Bosch, when contacted by phone, said it is out of warranty and we were on our own. One would reasonably expect a reportedly high-end product, lightly used, to last longer. And if for some reason it failed, one would reasonably think that the manufacturer would provide some type of support to make the product work (as designed and advertised) at a reasonable cost to the consumer. Note - this is a $600 dishwasher.

We bought a Bosch dishwasher for about $700 shortly after the 2009 recall (dishwashers bursting into flames due to electronics issue). We thought that the quality issues were limited to a single electronic component, and previously the company had a good reputation. The dishwasher cleans dishes, so we should be happy, right? In the past year, the control buttons and the plastic countdown window have popped out one by one. Today is my second round of DIY repair. The reason for repeated button loss is now very clear - the front fascia panel is made of a thin panel of ABS. This is not just a decorative panel - the stress of door opening with every use is applied to the panel, which is now cracked. Because of a design flaw, the cracks propagate right into the button area - so I no longer have a way to keep those buttons from falling out.Parts are available on the Bosch web site - only $86 plus shipping for the fascia and the missing button. The replacement panel will have the same design issue as the original, so this may buy me a year, 2 years or three of intact dishwasher. For environmental and financial reasons, I expect a dishwasher to last about 15 years. I am very disappointed by the substantial repair time and cost caused by an under designed appliance part. The model number is she45m02UC/53 and the part of doom is panel-fascia 478810.

The Bosch is supposed to be the quietest but it is no more quiet than my old Frigidaire. Furthermore, it does not dry the dishes. It leaves them and the entire dishwasher soaking wet. I must leave the door open overnight for it to dry. A service call resulted in my being told that this is the nature of the beast. I have never had a dishwasher that required me to leave it open all night long to have dried dishes. It washes the dishes but does nothing else. I bought an entire Bosch kitchen last summer. I was cleaning last month and noticed rust and pitting on the door of the fridge. I called Bosch and they asked me to send in pictures to file a claim, so I did my best to show the pitting in the pictures but the surface glare made it difficult. About 2 weeks after I sent in my official claim email I get a response (the initial receipt of the email said I would hear back within 5 business days).Bosch informs me that rust is a surface cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty so I call to ask if they saw that there were holes in the stainless door. They said it all looked like surface rust and could be cleaned off. But they were willing to give me 25% off if I want to replace the door. I spent about 10 minutes talking before asking for a supervisor. Talking with the supervisor I was able to get them to send a technician to diagnose if there are actually holes. May 17th: technician confirms that there is uncleanable pitting in the stainless steel door.Today: May 31st (2weeks since diagnosis) I get a call that they will pay for the parts of the door as a goodwill gesture but not for the labor of the replacement. So they admit that their product is bad but wont actually pay to replace it, instead trying to frame it as they are doing me a favor. Absolutely horrendous service, to admit that the door is flawed and provide a new door but make me pay for the labor to replace it (~200$). This has officially been the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. The representatives were defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for their faulty product. I will never again buy a Bosch appliance and Ill also be sure that no one else does if I can help it.

Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 20
Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 2016. 20 minutes into initial clean cycle E:15 code appears on display with drain pump running continuously. Called Bosch customer service and was told this indicates an internal water leak. Bosch provided 3 phone numbers for local service technicians and told me I would need to schedule a repair appointment because Bosch customer service was too busy taking other calls. Earliest appointment was 1 week out. Bosch factory certified technician confirmed internal water leak and after 1 hour of troubleshooting determined the distribution/circulation pump seal needs to be replaced. The new part (which retails for less than $2.00) will take 3-5 business days to arrive and then a follow-up appointment can be scheduled to install the new part.Based on the other reviews Ive read, I am skeptical that this will solve the problem. The other observation during the initial clean cycle was that while the unit was draining, a large amount of black debris seemed to be discharging through the drain hose. I am wondering if this is the mold problem Ive read in some of the other complaints/reviews. The drain hose is almost clear so it was easy to see the darker looking debris. After a couple of drain cycles, the discharge water was free of black debris. I understand the units are tested in the factory before being packed up for shipment so a small amount of water in the bottom of the pump is normal but why the mold? When I mentioned this to the Bosch customer service representative I was told that they had never heard of such a thing before (really?!).Why didnt the factory test detect the leak problem? If it did, was a decision made to go ahead and ship a defective unit out anyway? I have an older Bosch dishwasher (purchased in 2008) that never had problems like this. My mother always comments on how quiet it runs when she visits. It would appear Bosch has significant quality control issues on the assembly line and perhaps throughout the entire enterprise that need to be addressed. Customer service is basically constrained to follow a script that seems to weigh heavily in favor of the corporations bottom line and not the end user. I will be loath to recommend Bosch products to anyone until these systemic problems are rectified. This could be the undoing of what was once revered as a solid company as consumers find better products from other vendors. It looks like my mother just wasted $700 on a flawed product and instead has bought into the additional frustration of chasing warranty claims. I should mention that I own a now discontinued front loading Bosch clothes washing machine that recently was involved in a class action settlement (you might have guessed, for mold problems) for which I received a check in the amount of $55. That amount does not cover the cost of a new front door seal that breeds black mold every 12 months or so requiring replacement. I am on my 3rd door seal in 3 years of use. The first replacement was under warranty. The second replacement was at my expense (~$85 plus shipping plus an hour of my time to install it!).

I have all 800 series appliances from Bosch that are all just 4 years old. Refrigerator is noisy, plastic shelves are cheap and break easily, and shelf spacing is limited - its hard to fit a gallon of milk in. Dishwasher: was very quiet and now sounds like there is a heavy storm in the kitchen when it is running. Plus the racks are weird and dont hold dishes well. You end up washing half loads all the time because otherwise plates touch each other in the rack. Double ovens: my wife sloshed some chicken drippings on the glass door when unloading it and the grease got between the glass panels. I called Bosch about the oven door issue and my warranty was up by sixty days and they refused to fix this under warranty. I have never had problems with appliances before (GE Hotpoint; Kenmore). We had no idea that the dishwasher was on recall and about 6 months after we moved in, the dishwasher caught fire while we were in the living room. The only compensation that Bosch would offer us is 40% off another dishwasher if we order it through their website. Believe me, if your dishwasher bursts into flames in your kitchen and you have to have the fire department remove it from your home, you wont want to put the exact same product back in your house! Have a Bosch built-in refrigerator with TWO issues related to the icemaker. Have had it only 6 months, but both problems pretty much from the beginning. First of all, it keeps dropping ice into the tray, and the tray overflows because all the ice drops down in the back of the tray, while the front of the tray pretty much stays empty. Had serviceman here twice, and both times he told me I have to keep pushing the ice from the back of the tray to the front. Told me the manual says that. It doesnt.MORE IMPORTANT - there are little tiny flies and an awful smell in our freezer ever since the fridges circuit breaker blew while we were away for a month. Every once in a while Ill see a tiny larva inside an ice cube. Pretty sure there is a nest in the icemaker or water line. Or possibly in the drip tray. The bugs seem to come out every couple of weeks - probably the gestation time for the new eggs that were laid. Weve never seen a live one - only dead. Had both exterminator & Bosch service person tell us we need to totally uninstall the fridge and clean & disinfect. Seems to me there should be a way to get to the drip tray & icemaker without uninstalling the fridge. Have 4 boxes of baking soda - still have the smell.

While I purchased my Bosch electric range in September of 2014 and am out of warranty, I had expected a better experience when the inner glass door shattered during the self-cleaning cycle, especially as I rarely use the oven and this was only the 3rd time I used the self-clean feature. When I called Bosch, the agent I spoke with seemed to agree with me that there must be a defect of some kind for this to happen, and she made an appointment for a technician to assess the issue at no charge to me. I may have been somewhat naive, but I was led to believe that Bosch would likely review the issue and not charge me for the repair as the damage clearly occurred due to a defect in the appliance and through no fault of mine. The technician they sent was awesome, arrived on time, assessed the problem and told me he would order the glass. As I didnt hear back from Bosch, I assumed that the agent had brought my issue to the attention of her supervisor and, since I didnt hear back, assumed there would be no charge to me. Well the technician is in my kitchen repairing my oven door and asked if Id heard from Bosch as to the charge. When I advised I hadnt, he suggested I call. I was shocked to find out that no one had made an effort to send my issue up their chain of command, nor was I able to speak with a supervisor as there was none available. The best they would offer, as the technician was already doing the repair job, was a 20% discount off the replacement glass.I also had an issue with my Bosch microwave one month out of warranty when the turntable motor stopped working. I was told I would have to pay not only for the replacement piece, but for the technicians visit, but I wasnt told that until the repair guy showed up at my door and told me that I would be seeing lots of him because they dont make appliances the way they used to. I sent him away on principle and hired an appliance repair guy to do the job - it wasnt cheaper but I couldnt get past the guys attitude.Had I known I would also be charged to repair a defective appliance, I would probably have hired the same appliance repair guy to do the job. The only thing that made this experience less horrible was the technician they sent - he was prompt, efficient and clearly knew what he was doing. I bought Bosch Appliances because everything I read indicated they were absolutely top of the line. I am severely disappointed in the product and their poor customer service problem resolution.

After initiating use the smell worsened which led me to calling Bosch since it was under warranty, I explained that there was a really bad smell and while cleaning the filter notice that a small amount of water remained after each use. I assumed there was a drainage problem hence keeping water which would cause the smell. The customer rep was rude from the beginning and initially told me there was nothing they could do, after hashing it out she confirmed it was under warranty and scheduled a technician to come out. The tech checked it said it was running perfectly and that it is normal for a small amount of water to remain at the bottom. He told me to use liquid instead of powder or the small pacs. I have bought dishwasher cleaner, rinsed it with vinegar, Clorox and still it smells awful. I have another home and many friends with dishwashers and despite any reason they do not smell as much as mine... I am so unhappy. I hate using it, secondly it does not clean well. I am going to try to inquire about a refund. I will never buy a Bosch product of any kind for any of my homes. My Bosch dishwasher was purchased from Best Buy.

I purchased this dryer and washer combo because I needed a compact wd set, I actually purchased 2 sets. I'll number my points of why I like/dislike this dryer. 1) It was annoying to have my electrician had to put in a 4 prong outlet. It costs more money than I wanted to spend 2) I had no idea this thing was going to drain onto my floor (it was my error, I was so eager to dry clothes after hanging it outside all summer to dry, so I just ran the load to dry making my floor wet by simply plugging and playing. 3) THIS TAKES FOREVER TO DRY. But it was SO WORTH IT not ironing or finding all my clothes bone dried and wrinkled. I finally caught on the trick of putting it running a longer time and not overloading it. I actually enjoy doing laundry more because folding wrinkle-free clothes and hanging up wrinkle-free clothes was a godsend in my family of 6. I am just happy I purchased 2. Now I can dry clothes and do all my laundry at once. I strongly dislike dirty laundry so so so much. 4) It's Ventless! COME ON NOW, no hole in your wall that you have to cover with foundation plantings that end up burning up and full of lint? THAT'S AN A+++++ in my book. My last dryer was a vented dryer from Bosch, and that thing was ok not awesome because of the wrinkles but the lint buildup was significant all over the duct. I couldn't sleep at night if I knew the dryer was running because I was terrified of a risk of fire. 5) The clothes come out soft, fluffy and light. Like not hard, crispy and extremely, extremely dry. Its just a perfect dryness. 6) The room is warm because of the vent. I love this feature in the winter. In the summer, I'm not inside enough to care but my electrician is recommending an exhaust fan. Nah, I'll just open a window. It hasn't bothered me yet. 7) Its awesome, compact size allowed me to hook it up temporarily anywhere- my kitchen, my basement etc during the renovation. Get one, you won't regret it. You'll even feel more European in the process.

I always thought of Bosch as a company with high quality standards and good customer service and over time had to change my mind to never wanting to buy Bosch again and having shared this opinion with friends and family to avoid their frustration and disappointment. The dishwasher trays holding plates were so rigid in the beginning that they chipped my china – maybe I should feel lucky as the Bosch dishwasher of our friends went up in flames, even their model/serial number was not on the recall. The washer requires always additional rinses to remove the soap (or at least most of it) and the 4000$ cooking range broke down after 2.5 year with an electronic board having failed and needing replacement. Bosch does not provide service once the appliance is out of warranty and their spare parts are ridiculously expensive.

A £500+ Bosch microwave oven (model HMT85GL53B) purchased only 2 years ago broke just 1 month after the 2 year warranty expired - and Bosch made no offer to help. You would expect such an expensive appliance to last well after the warranty period! We spent the extra money on the kitchen appliances as we thought that Bosch had a good reputation...and there we are! We are appalled at the quality of Bosch appliances and very unhappy with the way Bosch handled it. We wouldnt recommend the microwave / combi oven model HMT85GL53B to anyone, as it has broken so quickly!

It worked for about 4 months. Then it stopped. Waited 10 days and Bosch repairman found small pieces of food in dishwasher and cleaned it - not warranty (owner fault). Said it worked fine and left. Tried to start it and found it didnt work. Waited 10 days. Bosch repairman returned; found more tiny bits of debris and blamed it on that. Surreptitiously replaced power source. Gave me second lecture about how no debris of any sort can ever go into machine. Machine worked for 2 washings and then broke. Waited 10 days. Bosch repairman returned and found more debris (2 tiny pieces of tea leaves, 1/10 of small fingernail and one small plastic filament about the same size). Same lecture. Replaced replacement power source. and left. Has worked fine once.I am left with the definite impression that the Bosch dishwasher is too delicate to be used as a dishwasher - that all items being dish-washed must first be washed by hand. So the dishwasher turns out to be an odd cabinet for storage. I am elderly and the bits found by the repairman would not be seen by me in any event. I am also left with the possible impression that the power source was broken at every step and the dance I was put through was designed to have me pay a $189 charge upfront, although it should have been covered by warranty all along.

So here is the review after one month of Bosch Refrigerator usage. 1. Received a faulty Refrigerator. The technician who visited for the demo did not know anything about the product apart from where to store the vegetables as if we have never had a refrigerator before. Since my LED was not working and when asked the technician his answer was This fridge has no LED or any lights. Anyways called Bosch called me for the confirmation of Demo where instead complained, they sent a technician to fix it and I observed that this guy did not even know to to open the LED panel. After experimenting he was able to open but he had got some other lights which were not compatible to this fridge, 3 weeks later again a technician visited who again experimented and failed to fix the LED and left with the Refrigerator complete useless as the cooling had also stopped. Now after all this after a month call to Bosch who promised what not, We will put this on Priority, Urgent, within 24hrs. Bla bla bla. Four days today and no technician has yet visited. Overall a poor brand in terms of service. Would not recommend. Have been using Samsung for years and no complaints and also the customer support is quick and reliable.

We purchased a Bosch Dishwasher on 4-27-2014 from Sears; at which time Bosch had a rebate (Offer # 781-34) of $150.00 Install Reward. We sent the rebate in on the following day. It said that we would received rebate within 8 to 10 weeks. We waited until about 7 weeks and then called the 800# on the form to check on the status of the rebate and were told that they didnt have any record of it yet and should call back in 2 weeks. Called back 2 weeks later and talked to a man that said for some odd reason it must have been lost. We asked him if that meant that we lost out on our $150.00 rebate and he said, No, just resend it, but that we would just have to wait another 8 to 10 weeks. Now we received a postcard stating that the request was not postmarked within the time frame stated on the rebate form. We called the rebate center and explained the situation and they said that the 2 times that we called there were never reported so they were sorry but we lost our rebate. This we feel is totally not our fault. We sent the rebate on time. They should have created an account on us the first time we called. The rebate offer is what made us buy the Bosch in the first place. It was to pay for the installation fee. We talked to a supervisor at the rebate center and she told us that the man that told us to resend the papers to them should have given us a different address to send them to. I asked her for that different address and that I would resend them for the 3rd time and she said that it was too late now because the rebate was over. This is really ridiculous. We have searched on line and found that we are not the only ones this has happened to. What is actually happening with these rebates that people like us are suppose to be getting but arent? We are very disgusted in this whole situation and in the way the rebate center for Bosch is run. They need to train the people hired there to do their jobs. We are not upset with the actual people that are answering the phone but the ones that are higher up doing the hiring and training. Went higher up and talked to a person from Bosch and they said that the rebates are all handled by the rebate center and that this was out of their hands.

We purchased in 2013 a top-of-the-line Bosch dishwasher and it is worked well until about two weeks ago, when it just died. My complaint is not the unit but with the complete lack of service that Bosch offers. The unit broke and we called for service and were told at the earliest date they can give us was some 13 days in the future. However that was not to fix the unit only to diagnose the problem. Fixing the unit would take ordering the part and then coming back to reinstall it. We circumvented this problem by calling Sears who diagnosed the problem over the phone ordered the part and was able to schedule us two days before the Bosch service team with would be coming out.As I was outraged at how long this is going to take I called Bosch to complain and they basically told me that they simply do not have enough service people in the area to take care of the products that they sell. I told customer service that this was completely unacceptable and that I would write this review. Avoid Bosch products at all costs. There are others that offer much better service.Updated on 2/14/2015:13 months into owning the unit the control panel went out. We called Bosch to fix it, they told us three weeks hence a repairman would arrive to repair the unit. Instead of waiting we called Sears with whom we have an extended warranty program to cover the unit and they came out 2 1/2 weeks after we called. During the call to analyze the problem and told us they were sending us a new control unit. The day before the visit we realized that no unit had arrived at our house so we called Sears. They told us that the request for the item was denied and they would come out and analyze the problem and order the correct parts. The repair man told us that this is ridiculous, the part shouldve been ordered and waiting for him to install it. He then analyzed the problem, decided that that was exactly the correct part and ordered it and he would be there to put it in a couple of days after it arrived. Upon returning to install the part, Bosch had only sent the cover with none of the control unit inside. The second order was placed this time for the control unit, whose arrival we are still waiting for, now 3 months since the unit broke. The moral of the story is do not buy a Bosch dishwasher unless you can afford two of them, one to keep on reserve while the first one is being fixed.

I have been the owner of Kenmore dishwashers since 1978. Today I had to have one service for technical issues the door latch for the first time ever. It was purchased in July 2015, not two years old. It is a Bosch by Kenmore, the door latch keeps popping during the wash cycle, and you have to keep closing it. Very irritating. Of course there is only a one year warranty on it, and they refuse to cover expenses. I called Bosch and they really dont care. Poor attitude. Don’t buy Bosch products. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME FOR ME. We bought the Bosch Nexxt 100 Series Washer and Dryer about 5 years ago from Lowes. For the last 4 years we have had nothing but problems. First the washer. I kept ending up with cut marks in things. Almost like someone was murdering my sheets and clothes with a knife. They had perfect cut marks. Bosch offered no advice on what the issue was.Second the dryer. The dryer has been by far the BIGGEST headache! The first issue was that it would work but wouldnt heat up. Bosch told me to remove the back panel and the 20+ screws, shove my hand in there and find a TINY reset button. Ok, fine. FOUND IT! Reset! But then I kept having to reset it every week. Then a couple days ago I tossed in a small load of laundry and almost instantly started smelling something burning. So I open the dryer and I have flames between the back of the dryer drum and back panel. Not the most ideal place to have a FIRE! Not easy to tip a dryer backwards with a pitcher of water in hand trying to throw enough into small holes to put out a fire. BOSCH tells me Lint makes its way to the back of the drum, down the back and into the box where the heating element is. Clean it out, put it back together, plug it back in and resume normal use. Make sure to clean it out every few months. Can we say NO?Needless to say, I will NOT buy another BOSCH appliance. When I go to buy a new dryer I will also be buying a new washer. The only thing these appliances are good for is taking out back with a sledgehammer in hand and releasing some build up frustration!

Paid $1100 for Bosch Dishwasher Silence 49 - it is terrible. Within one year it wasnt cleaning properly, and I clean the filter regularly. So I took to not only rinsing the dishes, but wiping them too! Now at 2 years it runs through cycles over and over again. Stops at random through the cycle and when you open it and press start again it sometimes starts at the beginning of the cycle. I do not recommend Bosch dishwashers at all. I had better results from the cheap one I took out.

The refrigerator was brand new and a near out of box failure, working less
The refrigerator was brand new and a near out of box failure, working less than 24 hours. On 4/23/15 When I first contacted Bosch, the care rep advised the first available appointment was 8 days later, May 1st between 12-5. When my husband called, frustrated, to see if there was any earlier availability for someone to come out, there was nothing in the system. The next earliest time became 4/28, where the technician found it needs a new main board and inverter. I have gone back to Goedekers Appliances, where I bought this thing asking that they pick it up, refund my money and I will buy something else. They maintain I must work through Bosch. Bosch on the other hand, called me once to promise a decision by last Friday (5/1/15) and never called me back. We have medications for family members that must be refrigerated not to mention the substantial loss in food that spoiled. None of this apparently matters. I had to threaten spreading the news, going to the press, Facebooking my story to finally get to a supervisor. I think when one has an out of box failure, it is reasonable to expect that someone will be out within the week to resolve any and all issues, whether that be a full replacement of the fridge, a loaner fridge or what have you. As this circus has taken this long with my having to stop my work day to project manage Bosch for status, what I had been asking for since 4/28/15 is either a full complete refund or a brand new Fridge. Being ignored thusly, today, I demanded a full refund from Bosch and for them to get this thing out of my kitchen by COB today. Suddenly now they can get a technician out today! I said yes, get your tech out here to take this fridge and provide me a full refund. Your time to repair this thing has passed. Get it out of my kitchen. And I hung up on ** supervisor in customer care at Bosch 800-944-2904. So he called me back, confirmed my name and hung up on me! NOW THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER CARE!!! When I buy most anything, even a car, within 24 hours, I can get a full refund. If I buy a bad pair of pants, I get better service. Very angry.

WFMC3200UC Washer NEXXT series - I believe this must be the first front loader Bosch made. If Id known at the time of purchase I NEVER wouldve paid the major bucks I paid. I think its 7 years old. Problem is the way its put together is like no other Bosch washer. Two weeks ago I found a video online which showed how to remove the thing and today I go to my bookmarks and NO VIDEO. Purchased new in 2004. Main range burner (right front) never did feel right, rough to turn and if you put it to the wrong spot (nice light simmer), it would go out, but the gas would still run. New Years Eve 2007, the oven burner quit at about 3:00 in the afternoon, part way thru cooking a massive prime rib roast. The electric starter came on and glowed, the gas valve opened but the oven burner wouldnt light. Phoned the dealer (Midland Appliances) and asked them for help, they told me that they could have someone out in about two weeks. Since I was in the middle of preparing a dinner for 10, I finished the roast on the BBQ. It didnt turn out that well, since its hard to cook outside at -20C. Took it all apart the next day and determined that the orifice was plugged/blocked so I cleaned it out with a needle file. About once or twice per year, ever since, same problem. Orifice fouled, and the gas doesnt flow. Eventually the electric starter failed, so I replaced it. Had to order from an outside vendor, as per manufacturer website. Part was delivered, oven back in operation, regular orifice cleanings (and failed meals) continued. In 2011, the main range burner finally failed. It was on and when I tried to turn it down, something broke internally on the shaft. Had to shut the gas off to the entire unit, because the valve wouldnt close. So we are without oven or range. No parts available in our city, again, so I had to order from the outside vendor and have shipped. Five days total without an oven or range top. Many meals outside of the home and many take out meals delivered. New valve installed and the same rough feeling as the original valve. I am probably going to have to replace it again in a few years.November 29, 2013 my wife calls me at work, oven not coming on again. Okay, have to pull the oven out again and clean the orifice, I guess?? Well not this time, now the valve for the baking half of the oven has failed. Electric starter comes on, voltage changes to the valve, but the valve doesnt open. Order the valve ($161) from the outside vendor, four days later it arrives, two hours to install and the oven is back in operation.December 21, 2013 (yesterday) and were having family for early Christmas dinner. About 1:00PM, I turned the oven on to start our turkey and the electric starter glows but the gas valve doesnt open. I hear the solenoid for the starter click and it glows and about a minute later I should hear the valve for the gas open but I dont. Turkey is back in fridge, called the local Chinese take out place for ($185) worth of food. I will pull it apart again on Wednesday (Christmas day) but I suspect that the (new) valve is defective. And on, and on, it goes.Other observations: Well the fit and finish on the visible parts of the oven are quite nice, the guts of it are a mess. Screws dont line up with hole, many are stripped or over tightened. The sheet metal is of the lightest gauge possible and often wires are installed and poorly secured. The adjustable legs dont secure very well and as a result every-time you move the unit, it has to be re-leveled. The unit appears to be made in Mexico, and the range valve was also Mexican made, so I guess its goodbye to German quality.Long and short, this range has been very problematic and I will NEVER buy another Bosch appliance, small or large. And since I am a vengeful sort, I will probably not buy/install Bosch vehicle (starters, alternators) parts either.

I took a day off from work for this repair and they let me know 20 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive. I told them that the next time if they do not give me sufficient notice I would send them a bill. I also told them since they were scheduling me for another day, that meant they were agreeing to my terms. The second time I took a day off they called and told me that the man did not have the part with him. I told them that I was sending them a bill and the woman told me that they do not reimburse people.

That is until the convection part of the oven did not deliver the preset temperature and was making rattling noises. The repair technician determined that it was the drive shaft of the fan is broken causing temperature not distributing properly. We went to all the appliance parts suppliers and could not find the part as it has been discontinued. I also contacted Bosch directly, after being re-directed to 3 or 4 different numbers and confusion with the part number, they said no part was available. We tried to replace the microwave/convection oven with another Bosch but the model is discontinued. New models are now all flushed with the cabinets which means my existing cabinet has to be rebuilt and will look out of place with the existing built-in oven. Found a different make microwave/convection oven ($700) that may fits in the existing cut out but discovered that the Bosch microwave/convection oven and built-in oven shared the same power source!! The Bosch representative recommended replacing the complete system!!! So, because of a $180 part that Bosch discontinued will require me to take out a working microwave AND a perfectly working built-in oven and put in another Bosch $5,000 to $7, 000 combination oven in?? NO WAY! Will I buy another Bosch again? NO WAY! It is absolutely ridiculous to discontinue a part barely 10 years after a product in the market. Shame on Bosch.

I absolutely love this washing machine! It's quiet, efficient, and gets my clothes clean! I love the fast cycle as well as the extra rinse and the way it spins the clothes so well that they are almost dry! This is especially useful for clothes I plan to hang dry. A few things I noticed to improve performance and maintenance is to have a dedicated towel handy to wipe the water off the door and soak up any residual water left under the grey rubber flap around the circular opening. Water always collects there and if you don't soak this up with a towel, mold can grow over time. I also decided to add the detergent directly to the washer chamber instead of using the upper fill cartridges to avoid gunking up the interior tubes/slots that can also encourage mold growth. This was advice given to me from a relative with a similar machine. I do suggest using the slots for bleach as directed in the manual. Overall, an excellent machine! I only wish these compact machines were better priced, as they are all currently around twice the cost of a regular sized washer. (from all manufacturers) Somewhere around $600 seems more appropriate.

I purchased the Bosch Axxis stackable washer and dryer in late 2008 to fit in my kitchen closet. June 2014, started to have problems with it making noises while spinning and then it got louder and finally stopped spinning. I contacted Bosch Customer Service who referred me to service repair but did not offer me a good explanation or offer to refund anything for the unit to be broken after approximately 6 years of use and I am the only person using it.The stackable unit cost me over $2,000 and now the washer needs to be replaced because the repair costs are over $900.00. This is disgraceful! Now, I have to figure out how to find a new 24-inch washer that will fit my Bosch dryer on top because I will never buy another Bosch anything! It is a piece of garbage.

We bought our dishwasher because we had a Bosch and loved it. It was too costly to repair. One week into having this dishwasher, the door became heavy. We called for repair and they said the string broke (yes, the string). How could you make a dishwasher using string? When I tell people, they laugh but I dont think its funny. We are getting another one just like this one but luckily we bought the contract so I guess they will be out once a month to replace the string. Couldnt you think of something more substantial than string?

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher Silence Plus 50 dBA at Lowe’s June 2015. It worked for 1 month and stopped working. I had a repairman from Lowe’s come and fix it. It worked for another few months and stopped working again. Had another repairman from Lowe’s come and he left without fixing it because he didnt know what was wrong. Another repairman (#3 so far) came out and says he knows whats wrong with this model, there is a defect with the door latch. He fixes it. Works fine until a few days ago stops working again. Of course its now out of warranty so I will have to pay to fix a dishwasher that is a little over 2 years old. I wish I kept my old noisy dishwasher instead of this piece of crap. Has been nothing but trouble and I will Never buy another Bosch product again. Dont believe the hype. It is also hard to load the dishwasher as the racks are too narrow and it didnt dry the dishes well either.

Purchased new Bosch dishwasher from Lowes. Took 2 weeks to be delivered from the Lowes warehouse. When installed by the Lowes plumbers, the panel showed electrical errors. The installers called Bosch Service, service person could only say it must be installed incorrectly. Lowes replaced. Did not know you had to clean the dishes before loading the dishwasher. After the first load, water stands in the bottom of the dishwasher and stinks. Cleaned as recommended by the owners manual. I did not know you would have to wipe the insides down also. Water still stands and stinks. We thought Bosch was an excellent product until now.

I at first liked this washer then several problems. One, the moldy smell inside required the door to be left open to avoid a stench. I got used to that, though constantly had to wipe the gaskets out and clean the inside door and gaskets. Then a couple of years ago, 8 years after I bought it, the housing near the dials developed a small crack. I called customer service and received no satisfaction.I called again in August this year, obtained a file number for my complaint, but they wanted me to get a Bosch repair person and pay them to diagnose the problem, which was evident from the picture below, as a crack. This was not due to operator error or misuse. We are a retired couple, dont take in laundry (!) and it is kept on the first living floor of our heated and air conditioned house. I have seen other complaints of these issues online, so I know were not alone. I wish I had kept my 29 year old Maytag and replaced the pump instead of buying this set. Dont buy Bosch!

If there was a way I could leave less than 1 star I would! We bought top of the Bosch range series 8 appliances and within 1 month of installation have had 3 technicians out to our house. You call the customer service team and ALWAYS get transferred to the UK as they are too busy to take the call. No one ever calls you back. The service I received at the retail end was amazing. The product experience Ive had has been literally the worst of my life. Our flexi - induction cook top ALWAYS turns off during cooking. The new pots they promised me to resolve the issue never arrived. On the odd occasion someones returned my call they havent done what they said they would. I had one great Bosch customer service person, however she has now resigned! I can only assume from the poor rating Bosch have that they genuinely dont care about creating positive customer experiences. If only Id read the reviews prior to buying a kitchen full of their products. So as I type this review my appliance still doesnt work. Perhaps Consumer Affairs can assist!

There is a class action attorney interested... Bosch didnt recall their hazardous (bursting into flames!) dishwashers until a suit was filed. Similar issue here with brand new Bosch double convection oven--control panel and knobs became scalding the first time we used it. It took over two hours for the control panel and knobs to cool down. We keep it shut off at the breaker because the technician said it was just a glitch. Bosch told us if the technician says its safe to use your oven its safe to use your oven--but they refuse to warranty any damage to our kitchen (hello--our us!) if theres a future problem. Theyll just replace the oven--I guess after it burns down your kitchen. Make sure you report the problems on Consumer Advocacy site so others can be aware.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in 2012. 2 years later, 2014, the racks had issues with the protective plastic coating peeling off the prongs that hold the dishes in place. I was able to replace both the top and bottom racks at no charge by Bosch. In 2018 the racks again had the same issue with the coating peeling off the prongs, on both the top and bottom racks. Today I was told after working with customer no service for 2 months that the racks are not covered and I would need to pay for new ones. NOT happy with the service as well as the dishwasher. To me this is a defect, not normal wear and tear. I have owned Bosch dishwashers in the past and have never had issues with exposed metal on the racks.

My rented townhouse has a Bosch dishwasher and it cleans the poorest of any dishwasher I have ever had. After three months, it simply stopped working. The Bosch washer and dryer are okay--but just okay. The washer is the worst cleaning machine I have had for a front loader and it is also the first washer I have ever had that smells horribly unless one uses a cleaner in it weekly and unless uses almost no laundry detergent and unless one washes with at least warm water usually. Horrible really. The dryer doesnt have enough options and I have to dry delicate things on regular or they dry incredibly slowly, which results in too much wear. In my opinion, Bosch is very overrated.

Admittedly, my Bosch Oven is now over 10 years old and out of warranty. However, this is the second time that the Bosch Oven has exploded with glass shattering over the floor and the people in the kitchen. Whilst I expect some ovens to grow old, I do not expect them to explode - especially twice now. The first was when the oven was being used and the second time was when the oven had cooled down. The first time, Bosch provided some (around 40%) reimbursement. On the second contact, first impression from customer service was that they were interested, but since then, they have been notably unavailable for comment or response. We had a new kitchen last March and decided after much research we would buy Bosch appliances, supposedly they are very reliable. Unfortunately we found them not to be! We purchased 6 appliances at a cost of around 5k. After 1 week the extractor decided to not work. I informed Bosch and they came out and repaired it although it took 2 visits, though I must say it is not easy getting them out when it suits and I ended up taking a day off work. Whilst he was there on his 2 visit I reported the fridge/freezer was not getting cold. The engineer advised switching it off and then switching it back on at the lowest level to see if that sorted it, it didnt. Another call to Bosch and another visit from an engineer. He advised that the fridge/freezer needed re-gassing. I advised him it was a brand new fridge only a month old and I wasnt prepared to accept a repair and insisted on a new one. Bosch agreed and duly delivered a new one, this meant getting my kitchen fitter back in as it was integrated, again more time off.Now 9 months in and the main oven has a problem, after putting it on the self-clean setting when it had finished we opened the door and the glass cover clip had broken. Again another call to Bosch and another day off to accommodate the arrival of the engineer. I must say I am very disappointed in first the products and secondly Boschs customer service. They are very slow in coming back to you and not very cooperative either. They have agreed to cover all the appliances for an extra year on top of their 2 year guarantee but it is the inconvenience of it that really annoys me. Lets hope the remaining 50% of the appliances stand the test of time! Great appliances though when working!

I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer
I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer. I had purchased this set from Lowe’s as a second set for the upper level of my home so I would not have to walk down to the basement. I have an 8-year-old LG Tromm set down there. This set seemed to have lots of positive reviews, and I got a great deal on the display model, so I thought I got a good deal. White clothes come out grey and dingy even with bleach. All my family’s jeans have permanent crumple creases down the legs from where the dye faded. Bed sheets turn into long twisted ropes, which would work out well if I was trying to make an escape from my prison window. And everything smells moldy. The dryer does not have a heat setting and shuts off before the clothes are dry, leaving the moldy clothes even more time to get even moldier. The steam setting does not steam but rather drips moldy water onto clothes, leaving them with wet spots. Settings are weird: like you have a choice of damp dry, regular dry, extra dry, and my favorite, xxxtraxtra dry? And not one of the settings gets the clothes dry because you have to line dry the clothes to finish the drying once they are done. And the washer is the same; weird settings like comforters, jeans, and babycare, but not white, brights, or colors? Then if you really want to get aggravated, you can select an eco-smart function that uses less water, making the dinginess of the dirty water even more concentrated, and it takes 3 hours for it to cycle. One nice thing is that it is quiet while it runs, but when it’s all done with the load, it will beep loudly all night every 2 minutes, and you can’t shut it off until you get up and open the door, then the light stays on all night. So why this machine won energy saver awards is puzzling. Anyways, after buying every kind of laundry detergent made to man, testing out all the silly stupid settings, replacing filters, hoses, and gaskets, and stacking and unstacking the machines, I have given up and am listing this machine on craigslist for free for whoever wants to ruin their clothes. Oh, my old LG cleans circles around this hunkajunk, plus it is used at least 5 times a day to clean towels from a hair salon. I had to replace a pump that went out on it; LG just charged me shipping and sent me the part free even though it’s out of warranty for 6 yrs. So, my advice to someone who wants to buy this machine? Don’t waste your money when you can come get mine for free!

Dishwasher is three years old. The door does not latch. If is held shut by a magnet. If the machine vibrates at all, the door opens and the machine stops. You have to go in and push the door shut, again. Sometimes, it goes through the entire cycle down to 1 minute, and then runs forever, constantly reheating the water. I cannot leave the house when the machine is on. I have had the serviceman out 4 times, and he refuses to come out any more. Boschs solution to my problem? Use less soap. Never again. It is a piece of crap - and expensive, too.

Have an expensive 8 yr old Bosch refrigerator. Already replaced water pump (about $400.) now door handle broke off at bottom. Bosch CS is worthless. Most repair services dont handle bosch - cant readily get parts. Those that do wont give prices - they want $100 service call to diagnose prob and then order parts for 2nd visit. And cant get price of new handle without a costly visit -- some scam theyve got going. It also never produces enough ice. Supposed to be stainless steel - aside from not being stainless its not magnetic - so what kind of SS is it really. My opinion is to never buy bosch anything.

I purchased a $1500.00 Bosch Stove HEIP054C-01 5 years ago. Within a year I had to have the panel replaced with the Stove knobs on it because the burner markings and high to low settings decals/markings had worn off. Now after 4 years these markings have worn off again. I feel that this is a fire hazard as it’s difficult to tell which burner I am turning on and often get the wrong one. I called Bosch and they said that they don’t have replacement decals like a lot of other appliance companies and that it would cost $500.00 to replace the whole panel again.I am truly disappointed that they don’t have a cheaper, easier fix. I will not be replacing the panel as it is too expensive. When I bought the stove I also bought a Bosch microwave, fridge and dishwasher. I can honestly say that I won’t be buying Bosch again for my next appliances. They are beautiful but really not great for Value for money and replacement parts which shouldn’t be needed after only 4 years are extremely expensive. Please stay away from this model and save yourself some headaches.

It cleans OK but lacks a good drying feature. I had a lower model previously and it worked much better than this higher end one. Silverware is still dirty at times, pans and glasses still wet. I love the light at the bottom showing its on because it is so quiet. It has a 3rd shelf, a variety of ways to arrange dishes by either leaving the tines up or down. It seems to be smaller than the older models. Very sleek, hidden controls. The light at the bottom showing it is on almost bleeds across the floor. The lower end model I had before didnt do this, just a red dot. Ive had this one exchanged and it still bleeds all over the floor. Just not up to snuff, like the older, less expensive model was.

I am APPALLED at the customer service from both Wayfair and Bosch in not stepping up to solve THEIR problem. When I called Bosch directly, they told me they couldnt talk to me and that I had to call Wayfair back (yet again). Complete runaround. Ultimately I was told that I should just cancel my order and order something else (like this was my fault!) without any offer to resolve the issue. And finally after 10 people, I still have no real sense if Bosch actually has any dishwashers in stock anywhere. My new 500-series dishwasher produces huge clouds of toxic and awful-smelling air--and this from the very first wash. I hired a service person to come in and check the installation. That was perfect. Dishes appear to be steamed rather than washed. Every coffee cup looks dirty when I remove it despite using the 10-minute rinse cycle on days when I do not run the wash. Everything is sopping wet. The smell from the insulation around the unit to keep it quiet, Ive read is so noxious, that it assaults anyone who comes into the kitchen. Even when the washer isnt running, it stinks. Ive tried leaving the door open so that the water can evaporate and things can dry. I have come to avoid the kitchen and find myself eating out and bringing food in rather than generate dishes. Bosch did not respond to my complaint. I regret purchasing a Bosch and Im angry that its off-gasses have pushed everyone out of the kitchen.

The part was only $10, but Bosch said a service tech had to install it, costing $75-$100. The part was a simple slide, in part, a 10-year-old kid could install, less complicated than lacing a shoe, but Bosch decided not to use common sense in this case and said thats all they could do. Bosch delays all service calls for multiple weeks before coming and when the product broke 2 days after being fixed (supposedly), We had to wait again. They conveniently wont replace and then want no responsibility. This is the only review I have ever written and sadly I am unable to use my oven at all. This is very difficult as I have a family. 3,000 dollars is a lot of money to have a decorative storage unit. Please go with another company that will respect the consumer. I honestly dont know how this company is in business as we were dealing with the senior customer service representative, Courtney **, who completely disregarded the fact that this product was dysfunctional since day one. This company needs to reevaluate customer service and acknowledge that sometimes a product is faulty and you as a business need to stand behind your product.
