Admittedly, my Bosch Oven is now over 10 years old and out of warranty. However, this is the second time that the Bosch Oven has exploded with glass shattering over the floor and the people in the kitchen. Whilst I expect some ovens to grow old, I do not expect them to explode - especially twice now. The first was when the oven was being used and the second time was when the oven had cooled down. The first time, Bosch provided some (around 40%) reimbursement. On the second contact, first impression from customer service was that they were interested, but since then, they have been notably unavailable for comment or response. I wont be recommending a Bosch Oven purchase to anyone - in fact my response would be the opposite.

I bought a upper top of the line dishwasher. Most times that I use the machine some of the dishes come out dirty. Its not me and its not the way I stack them. Bosch has refused to acknowledge a problem. The pocket handle has broke twice and so has the rinse dispenser. Bosch replaced them both once within first 12 months. Now that warranty expired they ignore my requests for assistance. If youre considering Bosch, dont do it. Poor machine, worse customer service.

After roughly 4 years my Bosch dishwasher SHE4AM16UC/03 stopped working. First, the detergent dispenser door stopped opening, then wash cycle would short into a few minutes of activity, no real washing, and going straight to the Clean light. Bosch advertises its warranty for parts as 5 years, which in all practicality is not usable, because to get a faulty part for free you have to have a technician over to diagnose the problem and make repairs. The price is $99 for a visit fee and $120/hour labor afterwards. In my opinion, Bosch does not provide efficient warranty support for its appliances. It should be clearly stated as 1 year, not 5 years for the above reason. The dishwasher is poorly made and is a disappointment. I had units that never required any services or repair in 30 years from different manufacturers. I will not buy another Bosch appliance and hope that my experience with this dishwasher and the company will help other buyers make informed decisions.

The counter depth, 2 freezer drawers French door Bosch refrigerator is real stainless steel, runs very quietly, maintains an even temperature, and has solid construction with glass shelves. My only suggestions would be to have exterior produce drawer and doors that are easier to close.

Has anyone else had an issue with model # SHP65T55UC/09 power box burning out? Weve owned 2 previous Bosch dishwashers and have always been satisfied with them, however, they had wall receptacles. In December, I came into the kitchen and could smell a very strong odour of electrical burning. The power box had over-heated (see attached photo). Customer Service at Bosch is claiming it was improperly installed. However, the service technician from Home Appliance Care in Ottawa, whom Bosch sent to replace and do a diagnostic, stated that it was indeed installed correctly. Bosch is refusing to refund me the cost of the power box replacement and has done nothing to convince me this wont happen again. They have not responded to my last email a month ago.

Bosch washer and dryer: The paint is peeling off the surface of the washer. The dispenser door has cracked. The dryer gasket has cracked. These appliances are less than two years old. I called the support center. I must pay $200.00 for a diagnostic evaluation before they will consider whether this is a warranty repair.

I recently purchased a home that came with a 2015 Bosch dishwasher. I had Miele dishwashers for the past 20 years and a always extremely satisfied. Always cleaned well and never had any bad odor. I assumed Bosch would be similar quality. I was sadly MISTAKEN! From day 1 I noticed it did not clean nearly as well. First we started making sure all dishware was put in perfectly aligned. Never overlapping, then we began rinsing the dishes more than we ever had in the past, then we tried changing detergent, then we put the machine to the heavy and sanitize settings, still every time we unload... I have to scrub, rinse or polish the dishes, glassware or cutlery. What a pain. My sister in law complained a few years ago that she found her Bosch appliances awful, I figured she wasn’t “treating“ them properly. Now I understands what she means. In the end it is not a good product and can never be compared to Miele.

April 25th 2017 we took our new refrigerator home. Everything was fine until August 21 it stopped cooling. Called Factory Direct Appliance because I bought the extended warranty and they said to call Bosch. So I called Bosch and they set me up with a ticket and recommended a repair place that services their appliances. That company is called At Your Service repair and they are as bad or worse than Bosch. They couldnt come out for a week. So a week without a fridge and when he shows up tells me that they have to order the part. A circuit board that tells the compressor to kick on. Tells me it will be a week and a half before they get it and sets a time to come back out. That day approaches, the Friday after Labor Day, and I hadnt heard from anyone so I called them. They proceed to tell me that the part is on backorder and they have no idea when it will get here. So I waited a week or two and decided to call Bosch again. They tell me that it is on backorder until December. So I said no problem, replace my refrigerator. They said send us proof of purchase and the diagnostic from the repair shop so I did. Another week goes by and I hear nothing. So I call Bosch again, and now they miraculously found the part from Appliance Parts Depot. Meanwhile the repair place has closed the ticket because they were told it would be replaced. So Bosch says that they are sending the part to At Your Service. I call at At Your Service and they know nothing of it. Keep in mind here who is doing all the calling. Neither of these outfits called or cared how I was doing, if I was taken care of or if I was happy or satisfied. So now when I call one they send me to the other and vice versa. So now they do not want to replace my refrigerator and in fact are putting an aftermarket part in it. In a week it will be 2 months without a refrigerator and I am still the one calling trying to get answers and just get my appliance replaced. Bosch sucks. I was looking at buying a Bosch table saw, cordless drills etc. because I liked the way they perform but I will never buy anything Bosch because they dont stand behind their product and they definitely dont care about their consumers.

I purchased the Bosch Axxis stackable washer and dryer in late 2008 to fit
I purchased the Bosch Axxis stackable washer and dryer in late 2008 to fit in my kitchen closet. June 2014, started to have problems with it making noises while spinning and then it got louder and finally stopped spinning. I contacted Bosch Customer Service who referred me to service repair but did not offer me a good explanation or offer to refund anything for the unit to be broken after approximately 6 years of use and I am the only person using it.The stackable unit cost me over $2,000 and now the washer needs to be replaced because the repair costs are over $900.00. This is disgraceful! Now, I have to figure out how to find a new 24-inch washer that will fit my Bosch dryer on top because I will never buy another Bosch anything! It is a piece of garbage.

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

We are/were 20-year loyal Bosch dishwasher owners. They run quietly and efficiently. But in early March, 2018 we opened the door and the top panel (facia) came off! We tried snapping it back in, then called our handyman. He found that several plastic parts had broken off or were missing from the panel. So we called Bosch to order a new facia panel. It was just under $100 w/ shipping! First send was broken, 2nd send was missing a section, and the 3rd send was sent with a threat that if we didn’t have this handled by an authorized Bosch service person, our warranty would be cancelled. Our handyman is $50 per call, the Bosch “expert” approximately twice that! So, when our trusted handyman began putting it altogether, he found that each little part of the facia needed to be bought separately! The shiny handle clipped in, the cover for the power button which allowed access to the button, and the rocker buttons all had to be ordered SEPARATELY!!! This is now late April and finally we have ended our nightmare with Bosch customer service. Needless to say, this ends our 20-year relationship with Bosch products made with same cheap plastic as any other brand. VERY disappointing!

I purchased an Bosch 800 series dishwasher late 2018. This is my second Bosch dishwasher, I loved my first one. It was super quiet and cleaned beautifully. I cant say the same for this one. Last week it stopped working giving me an error message. I tried to troubleshoot myself. It makes a loud grinding noise, sounds like the drain pump. I called the 800 number, the call center tried troubleshoot to no avail. Scheduled service, the dishwasher is still under warranty.I requested the the latest appt in the day, to accommodate my work schedule and long story short the service department is very unaccommodating for customers that cant sit at home all day waiting to a tech. I was told they would send a list of other service vendors to who do Bosch warranty work in my community (Orlando, FL). After 2 requests for the list, still not received. My dishwasher is still not functional almost a week later. Extremely disappointed in the product and the lack of service for what is supposed to be a superior product.

My experience has been sooo baddd with Bosch customer service. So, we build our home and one my friend recommend me to get Bosch Appliances so I did. I order my kitchen appliances with bosch back in May. I didnt received my appliances in July so I couldnt do closing on time due to not having my appliances and get inspection done before I moved to my new home. Which I was like okay due to Covid I understand. Here is the worst part. So the day I closed on my home and start using my appliance. Happen to find out that my Microwave and my dishwasher is not working. Brand new out of box. So I called bosch customer service in July the day after I closed on my new house and explained them the both appliances are not working.I was given a number to call for service repair which I did and they told me 3 weeks wait for them to come out due to COVID which again I was okay no problem. Its COVID. Understandable. They came to my house after 3 weeks and told me that they have to order part for microwave and suggested me to call bosch customer to replace it because it would make more sense since he visited cost $1246 this time and next time would be about same and told me that if he doesnt hear back from bosch he will be back in 3 weeks again. So I called Bosch back and explain the whole thing. I was told they made ticket (wrong ticket where they combined microwave and dishwasher) and the rep told me they send the ticket to management to review and will send the replacement.I called after 2 weeks AGAIN and the rep told me that they didnt proper format from the service company so I make three way call and explain them that bosch need special format for exchange. Service provider send it to bosch and bosch rep was like, Yup got it. Since bosch didnt reach out to me or the company the service guy came and said he have to order another part and will be back 2 weeks again. This visit was again $1246. So I called bosch again and find out whats going on and went through the same thing report format is not acceptable by management company. At this point, we paid $2800 for service and I bought this microwave around $1800.00. Didnt understand why bosch didnt see that because he will back again and will cost another $1200.00 so at this point we paid double than what microwave cost. So I called again a week later is same story. They dont have the proper format from the service provider. So here I am stuck with microwave because I can return it anymore since my purchase month was in May and here I am still waiting for bosch management to review in End Of August. The worst customer service ever. I called them more than 10 times since July to August and stayed on the phone for more than 2 hours going around and around. Every time I called my phone timed was more than 2 hours.

We called Bosch when our 2 1/2 year old dishwasher broke. Their service dept. had a 2 week wait so they recommended authorized service providers with Mr. Appliance at the top of the list. We called Mr. Appliance and told them of the error code displayed and requested service for a broken drain pump. They came, charged us $170 and didnt bring the part. Then they sent a $600 quote to fix the unit. I called Bosch because at this point I could buy a new dishwasher. After some back and forth they offered to pay for the part and Id pay for the labor. Mr. Appliance hadnt broken out the quote, Bosch said the part was $36. Bosch offered to call Mr. Appliance which they did but to no avail. Still a $600 job.Bosch charges a set fee ($129) then another $30 per 15 minutes. They had no information about how long it should take to install the part. They offered me 2 additional authorized repair companies. One was out of business and the other had horrendous reviews. I called an unauthorized company in my neighborhood with excellent reviews and they will do the job for $198 plus the part. Bosch refused to sell me the part or sell it to the unauthorized repair company.First of all, the unit should not break after 2 years of use by empty nesters who barely use the dishwasher. They should make a better quality product and stand by their brand with more than a free part. Secondly, Bosch needs to review their requirements for authorizing repair companies. They should consider pricing and reviews to hold these companies accountable in exchange for giving them so much business. It should not cost more than the price of a new unit to replace a common part. I will not buy another Bosch!

Wall oven kept going dark and not working until you reset the breaker. Had to do that a few times in the three years we’ve owned it. It was installed new in 2016, we bought the house in 2018. Now it won’t reset at all. The only authorized service company is failing to get a tech here since March 31 with parts already being local. Wrote to Bosch hoping to get some help in getting the oven fixed. After sending them all the info they requested along with my firstborn they said they couldn’t help and that the awful service company they have is the only one “sorry” and “thanks for letting us help you”.??? I purchased a Bosch Eco action washer and dryer. Do not make the same mistake. Clothes never come out clean - spots do not come out and other washers have cleaned much better! If you run too many loads in the washer, it gives you an error message. When you call Bosch, they tell you that you need to call a repairman and charge you $100. The dryer never shuts off - it has this de-wrinkle feature that the dry clothes continue to spin even after they are dry - an annoying and wasteful feature. Three years ago, I purchased a stackable washer and dryer for my condominium. Since I had limited space for these products, I chose Bosch. Now, the dryer stopped working so I call a repair service. $450.00 later, the unit still does not work. I called directly to Bosch to see what they could do about my problem. They sent a tech to review the problem and he diagnosed it as a failed control module. Bosch wanted me to pay for the service and the part which would have been another $300.00 or so. To total this cost so far ($750) if I replaced the part is not a good idea because I could get a new dryer for about $800.00. I feel that Bosch product is inferior and service is zero. As a small business owner, I think this is disgraceful. I stand behind my products and service and incur extra service costs when I have to. Even though it sometimes erases my profit on the job, I always take care of my customers. This is a big company and can well afford to take care of their customers in a proper manner.

Last year, I bought a Bosch dishwasher for near $1000. That was really a smart dishwasher and consented me for operation. I found that some micro and macro cracks have appeared in the top front plate of the set. As I am a specialist and a lecturer in the university, I found that these cracks are a result of humidity and low quality of the top plate of the set. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a a service tech to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained. I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didnt. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

After about 2 years, the pump/motor went out and the cost of repair is approaching $500 plus labor. Bosch, when contacted by phone, said it is out of warranty and we were on our own. One would reasonably expect a reportedly high-end product, lightly used, to last longer. And if for some reason it failed, one would reasonably think that the manufacturer would provide some type of support to make the product work (as designed and advertised) at a reasonable cost to the consumer. Note - this is a $600 dishwasher.

BOSCH SLIDE IN ELECTRIC RANGE. First off the Bosch range is beautiful. It can be described as understated elegance. The range is designed to seamlessly fit into the kitchen range opening without side gaps. No more dripping down the oven sides! The front detail which slightly covers the countertop edge makes it appear custom to our kitchen. But, the best part is how it cooks! Other reviewers complain about the “loud” convection oven fan. Well, if that fan is “loud” my hearing must be shot. The Whirlpool convection microwave which sits above my Bosch Range, is 3 times louder. The Bosch convection oven is very quiet in comparison.Since receiving my Bosch range I have used several cooking modes with great success: bake, multi bake, convection roast and convection bake. The oven is so well designed and insulated that all my dishes on the different modes were evenly cooked and delicious. The cooktop also performed. I have tried all the burners and even the warm feature. Alas, I have yet to use the warming drawer. However, based on everything else I tried, I am confident that the warming drawer will be fantastic.I recommend you read the oven instructions to get the most out of this beautiful range. When using the cooktop be careful not to slide pots and pans over the burners. Make sure the outside of all pots and pans are clean, dry, and flat. This will save the glass cooktop from scratches. And note, all glass cooktops are susceptible to scratches. The Bosch Instruction Manual also gives cookware tips which are worth trying. I bought flat cookie sheets (no sides) as suggested by Bosch. My cookies came out of the oven perfect and delicious. When shopping for a new range don’t overlook this Bosch appliance. However, be aware you must carefully measure your oven opening to get a great, custom fit. If you are building a new kitchen, request your contractor build the space to perfectly accommodate your new range. You will love the look and love your new Bosch Range! Oh and did I mention the stainless steel resists fingerprints? Just one more reason why I love my new range!

My father purchased a Bosch tankless water heater about 18 months ago. He had a professional plumber install the tank to the specifications that the factory mandates. The unit never did work properly. After hours on the phone with tech support listening to every reason in the book why it wasn't "their" fault , and hundreds if not thousands of dollars spent on a plumber they still will not honor their warranty and replace the unit. The problem with the unit is that whenever you turn on the cold water to make the water warm instead of scalding, the heater shuts off completely leaving you with ice cold water. The factory techs tell us that there is not enough water coming into the unit. Ok easy fix right "just tell us how much water is required". O wait the "tech" isn't allowed to suggest anything like that. My father is so frustrated he wants to take the unit outside and shoot it with a rifle. If there is a class action we want in!!!!!! The one star is for the quiet dishwasher purchased. It is quiet probably because it does not work. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher because it was supposed to be top of the line in dishwashers. Unfortunately, I was swayed to the quietness and not the cleanliness. The racks are designed for the number of dishes it can wash. Unfortunately, I need to wash frying pans, bowl, utensils, cups, glasses, etc. Considering that it holds so many dishes, nowhere is there a China or crystal setting. Worse yet, my load is not complete clean, even on the heavy cycle, even though I am using the recommended Finish products. There is no room for bowls, large dishes. Plastic items have a film remaining behind and pots or fry pans still have food in them and a greasy feel to them. Unless you plan to buy the most expensive Bosch model you would be better off with a less expensive model with generic racks that fit the items you cook with as well as just dishes.

The first dishwasher had burnt up the wires inside washer as well as outside connections. It took a lot of calls for them to agree to replace the first unit. I had read on line that it had happened to others. After second dishwasher was installed on 1/9/09, my wife and I saw that our model number was a recall to possible electrical fires. For about two years, we received letters in the mail of this recall. Fast forward to late August up to early September, the second dishwasher is not working right. Bosch agreed to pay for a tech to diagnose and concluded that the heater assy shut as well as the main PCB, whatever that is. Repair is estimated at $450 to $500 on an almost four year old dishwasher. Bosch said that I am out of luck because warranty is over and that the second dishwasher was a goodwill case, even though the first dishwasher was a recall as a fire hazard. Oh and by the way, it is just my wife and I, so we dont use our dishwasher like a big family does.

So frustrating to get a letter in the mail that tells you to stop using your dishwasher immediately like its no big deal and doesnt inconvenience my life. Of course after trying to call, I get a voicemail saying due to caller volume they are unable to take my call at this time then the call disconnects! Im supposed to stop using my dishwasher because its unsafe and wait until I can get through to them and schedule somebody to come out and fix it. Who knows how long this will take. Save your money and buy a less expensive brand. Ive never had this problem with the dishwasher before and have never spent this much on a dishwasher.

We bought a Bosch dishwasher she68t55uc mid 2014. It has been great but all of a sudden last month December 2016, the dishwasher started making a squealing sound. We called and a repair man came. He chipped my counter which I had to fix, he had to break the door hinge because it was fine before he came, but after coming twice to repair it, the squeal is still here. Said it was the drain pump, so they replaced it, but it still squeals. They admit they are not familiar with working on Bosch but Lowes picked them to work on it. Not sure why. So Lowes will replace as under extended warranty, but I hope to pick a kitchen aid instead. I had a Kenmore elite for 18 yrs and it was still working when I replaced it with the Bosch, but it had become too noisy over the years. But it was a great one!! Wish I had bought another Kenmore.

We replaced another brand refrigerator after only four years because of constant ice maker repairs. We shopped long and hard for another one and were told by most salesmen and our own online research that the number one refrigerator repair for all brands was through-the- door ice makers. We also needed a counter depth model, not many out there. We're on our second Bosch dishwasher now and couldn't be happier with it. So, the Bosch brand and in freezer bin type ice maker sold us. Best Buy is now into the appliance business big time, we got it there and were very happy with the sales person and their delivery/installation. This really is a well designed product. We are replacing a 22 Cu ft. side by side and actually get more food in this model and more importantly, can find it. The refrigerator was delivered two months ago and our only problem so far is of course, the ice maker. The ice maker replenishment time hasn't been a problem for us as we are a couple only and the ice bin holds a lot of ice, and after no ice half of the time with our old refrigerator, the sound of ice dropping into the bin was most welcome, but the taste of the ice cubes (stale water or soapy like taste) has been. We had a Bosch repairman check and verify the problem. He replaced the inlet valve a week ago, as according to him, it is the only metal part that could be causing the taste and that was all he could do. One week later we still have the stale taste, it may not be the refrigerator, but we are using the same copper connecting tubing that our old refrigerator used, and our city water taste is fine. We are now using plastic ice cube trays and water out of the sink in the Bosch freezer to make useable ice? Another minor problem was a squeaky upper freezer drawer (yep, where the ice maker bin is located). Bosch repair recommended something called ( Food Grade Silicone spray), hard to find, try (Ace Hardware), that worked and the problem was solved. We really like this refrigerator and hope this gets resolved (Bosch, are you reading this review?) As the price of refrigerators now approach that of a good used car, we can't afford to keep buying them every few years!

Also, I dont like the front load washer because you have to keep the door open. Otherwise, mold starts growing and it starts smelling.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher Model SHP65T55US thru Appliance Connections online. The item arrived with no dings, dents to the box - nor on the outside of the dishwasher. It was installed. We were able to use it for approx two weeks and the door all of a sudden wouldnt seal. Called Bosch & they gave us service repair places none of which wanted to repair the dishwasher as according to every single one of them - Bosch does not pay them enough for warranty work. This process took about a month - where Bosch ended up making a deal with one of the repair places to have them come out and repair the door. In the meantime, I took out the top rack & could not get it back in again. So I thought I would let the repairman do it. He came & fixed the door but could not get the rack in. He told us that it is a warranty issue as the top of the dishwasher was bowed. Bosch refuses to admit it is a warranty issue - they said that it is inspected before going out. This was missed by Bosch, by Appliance Connections and by us - until a Boschs Certified repairman informed us that it was a warranty issue. Bosch insists it is a shipping issue - how can that possibly be when it was bowed on the INSIDE... with no dings, dents, scratches, anything on the outside of the dishwasher. Must be a miracle that shipping caused a indentation on the inside. WOW... Really.

I purchased this dishwasher on 8-1-18. Four months later I heard a motor running my kitchen. After investigation I determined that it was the dishwasher drain pump. I opened up the door and the key pad was dead. The only way to shut it off was to unplug it. I called Bosch and they gave me a number to call saying it would be two and a half weeks before a serviceman could be out. Two and a half weeks and no show. Called again and told another two and half weeks. Over a month later and a technician shows up. He said water had leaked into the bottom somehow but couldnt determine where it is coming from! He said he needed to order a part and it is backordered, (Two Weeks) and Bosch wont see the part and it wont be released at least for another week after that! Furthermore he doesnt know if it will fix it!! I purchased this brand because they were supposed to have a good service record? I consider this a LEMON and after calling and explaining my circumstances I asked them to replace it not knowing if it will ever be right and was refused. If you buy a Bosch have them throw in a dish rack and drain pan with it!

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.

It is very quiet - you can hardly tell its running. That is the only thing I like about it. It doesnt clean well, but has a very long cycle, well over two hours. It doesnt hold enough dishes, so has to be run daily. The worst part about this brand is the customer service. It is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life, and I am 65 years old. I have owned and used our Bosch Dishwasher for over twelve years without a single problem. Ive heard complaints about Bosch lack of cleaning. I have never experienced such a problem. Some of the complaints sound as though they have a poor water supply. Maybe a water filter prior to the dishwasher would help. I read complaints regarding drying. l would need to know what is in the dishwasher first. If there is a lot of plastic I would expect less than quality. Bosch dries the dishes with hot water rinse. The latent heat of the dishes and glassware is used to dry. Plastic does not retain much heat thus the lack of drying. It is my opinion that the complaints are misdirected. The poor customer service should be addressed immediately.

I ordered a $3,300 Bosch double wall oven through Lowes in Feb. 2012 in preparation for our new kitchen in our new house. The oven was installed in May 2012 and I immediately noticed a defect in the surface of the interior panel of the door of the lower oven. I called Bosch for a service tech. They gave me the name of the closest person. He and his grandson came out on May 31st and said they had never seen an oven like that before. I told them not to work on it if they did not know how. They said they could put the new part on, but they didnt even know how to take the door off the lower oven. They ended up dropping it and shattering the layers of glass in the door all over my kitchen floor. I called Bosch and they said they would send the parts for a new door and have a tech from San Antonio come out to put the new door parts together. I was without an oven door for nine (9) weeks. Parts were sent separately in about six boxes. The tech from San Antonio came and got the boxes, and we took some in too. Finally, a teenage looking boy came with the so-called newly put together door. It rattled, had a sharp edge and a gap between the interior metal panel and the glass. I told him it was not right, but he insisted it was. We had to go out of town for three months, but I called the corporate secretary and told her about the poorly put together door and she said she would make sure we got a new door when we got back home in Dec. 2012. We have called repeatedly only to be told someone would be in touch with us very soon to make the necessary repairs. They now say they wont replace the door with a new one as they have been promising. They are terrible to work with and nothing is getting done. I will never buy another Bosch product and will tell anyone I meet not to buy their products.

I purchased a Bosch Dishwasher (i.e. total cost $$857.98) which was installed in Dec 2017. About 3 weeks ago I was receiving error messages as well as the machine skipping cycles and stopped. Given that one of the error messages was E24 the Bosch authorized repairer wanted to order a pump for the machine to save me from minimizing the number of trips he would need to be made. May I add the service charge would have been $180, labor and parts extra given that the pump was outside of the warranty. After ordering the pump, I receive a message that the pump is in. But of course it was the wrong pump. I will not bore you with the details of the story but after a lengthy conversation, I told this company to NOT come at all and will find another Bosch authorized dealer. Well, I did, he promised to come, waited for him and he never showed up, did not call even though I left several voice mails, etc. Bosch kept saying we need a diagnosis but it sure is difficult if there own people do not show up as promised or have excuses about the wrong pump being ordered, etc.I provided all the detailed information that Bosch wanted. This evening I received an email from them telling me a decision had been. I doubt if this case was escalated to management as I requested. I called Bosch (25 minute wait) to find out what the decision would be given that they emailed me and said decisions cannot be provided by email or voicemail. The Bosch rep said they were going to do a big favor and as a 1-time courtesy provide the parts but I still would be responsible for the service call and labor. BTW, the issue in all likelihood is a control panel which has a 5-year warranty. Or in other words they did nothing except to ensure that I will never purchase a Bosch appliance again. If there would have been a pump issue the retail price is $30.05. Such an offer from Bosch. Bosch service providers are few and far between. And from my experience they are totally incompetent. Bosch sold me a lemon of a dishwasher and has failed to provide any type of concern for their customer.

I bought an entire Bosch kitchen last summer. I was cleaning last month and noticed rust and pitting on the door of the fridge. I called Bosch and they asked me to send in pictures to file a claim, so I did my best to show the pitting in the pictures but the surface glare made it difficult. About 2 weeks after I sent in my official claim email I get a response (the initial receipt of the email said I would hear back within 5 business days).Bosch informs me that rust is a surface cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty so I call to ask if they saw that there were holes in the stainless door. They said it all looked like surface rust and could be cleaned off. But they were willing to give me 25% off if I want to replace the door. I spent about 10 minutes talking before asking for a supervisor. Talking with the supervisor I was able to get them to send a technician to diagnose if there are actually holes. May 17th: technician confirms that there is uncleanable pitting in the stainless steel door.Today: May 31st (2weeks since diagnosis) I get a call that they will pay for the parts of the door as a goodwill gesture but not for the labor of the replacement. So they admit that their product is bad but wont actually pay to replace it, instead trying to frame it as they are doing me a favor. Absolutely horrendous service, to admit that the door is flawed and provide a new door but make me pay for the labor to replace it (~200$). This has officially been the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced. The representatives were defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for their faulty product. I will never again buy a Bosch appliance and Ill also be sure that no one else does if I can help it.

We recently purchased this fridge/freezer KGV36VW32G. There are several issues: 1. The manual is very poor with lots of words but very little information, for example the freezer temperature is controlled by the fridge settings so how do we know what the freezer temperature is? 2. The outer skin is very flimsy. Already got a dent on the door with normal use. 3. The LED light cannot illuminate the inside of the fridge when the fridge has produce in it as the light is badly situated. 4. The doors are difficult to close and have to be pushed quite hard to make a seal. 5. Coupled with 4 above there is no alarm if the doors are not closed. Already lead to one freezer defrost. 6. The ice cube tray and egg rack supplied are not fit for purpose. Ice cube tray too small and lid did not fit after one use, the egg rack is too small and only holds 4 eggs. 7. Generally the appliance is of poor quality and not good value for money.

It not washes soap off properly & we were told not to use the finish tablets. #2. Racking system bottom rack loses wheels all the time & top & bottom racks folds & doesnt hold dishes properly. #3. Faults with drainage system always happening & I always need to reset system holding start button down 10 sec #4. Now it has a fault E15 flashing & drain continues to drain - I even payed for extended warranty which doesnt cover much not happy. I thought Bosch had a much much much better quality dishwasher than this.

After examining the reviews on this site, coupled with my own experience, I suspect today’s Bosch products are not the quality they once were. We were satisfied with two prior Bosch dishwashers, however, two years ago we purchased an expensive new Bosch dishwasher to replace an aging one. After being gone for several weeks, we returned to find our dishwasher inoperable. Calling customer service was a frustrating experience as they could not send a certified repairman for almost a month...that’s a lot of dirty dishes. They then referred us to a local repairman who could visit a week later...perhaps they have too many repairs to perform? Today I was informed that I face a $400 repair on an expensive two-year-old machine… Inexcusable. I would not recommend a Bosch dishwasher in the future.

[01/02, 10:17] Neha: Highly disappointed with Bosch Product not worth other brands seems far better in India. I Bought my Bosch Refrigerator KGN56LB412/05 just 2.5 months ago in Nov 2019 and guess what the refrigerator has stopped working and the service guys are saying the modular needs to be changed. How can I accept this.. Bosch swear by the technology of its machines. What sort of Machine is this which got faulty just in 2.5 months and you people are not even replacing the machine rather just replacing a part. Never ever buy Bosch product. They are non reliable in India. The installation guy took 2 weeks to install that too post escalations. Now the fridge is faulty and for the replacement part also they dont have parts available and need time. Worst service no body picks call. What sort example Bosch is giving. If your product is faulty and and gets highlighted have the courage to call it back and dont keep playing with customer. Bosh team, have given standard answer that team will contact you but what my Refrigerator is not working from past 4 days. Its a brand new 2.5 months old Refrigerator which has collapsed completely and stopped cooling or functioning. Nobody called me. I had to call up customer care constantly just to reach service Managers who have no courtesy to respond to customers calls when there is some fault in their product. After lots of time spending on their customer care I got a call for 5 mins which was not satisfactory at all. The Manager is talking about company protocol and convincing me for repair with such a Major fault. I feel so #cheated# buying this #Bosch#Refrigerator#. The #Bosh Refrigerator# is around 70k and collapsed just in 2.5 month. The machine has stopped cooling completely and its of no use still your guys are refusing to replace it.It has been a total #nightmare# ever since I purchased this #Bosch Refrigerator#. I purchased this machine from Vijay sales Chandanagar branch and initially they sent unpacked used machine with black Marks all over dirty plug which was used from ages. I complained then they accepted and returned and told Bosch has sent this used piece they are not aware. Again they sent a broken wheel screw Refrigerator which and this was the third piece after lot of struggle we received. I took so much pain just to buy this brand #BOSCH# and to add more to my struggle this Refrigerator has collapsed and stopped cooling in just 2.5 months which was never expected from the brand I used to trust so much. Now #Bosch company# is not even replacing their faulty product and giving so many lame excuses. Trying to push faulty Bosch Refrigerator. Please stop cheating customers Bosch India. How do you expect me to settle on repairing when there is a major Machine problem in bosch Refrigerator. It has stopped cooling in just 2.5 months. Please dont push the faulty machine over to a customer rather replace your faulty Bosch Refrigerator responsibly. I am literally harassed buying Bosch product this time. This is not my first product from bosch. I have convinced my family and revamped their machine to bosch. This is what I get to show brand loyalty towards Bosch. Very, very disappointing. I have a 1.5 yrs old kid and I am without Refrigerator even after buying a premium brand on high price without any fault. It a harassing journey ever since I bought this Refrigerator.

8 years ago we purchased a top of the line Bosch washer, dryer and super-quiet dishwasher. The washer and dryer have had regular service and small issues until year 4. Then in year 5, the plastic control panel on both washer and dryer began to crack. I have no idea why this happened other than design that did not incorporate enough strength to withstand operational stress. (We used the machines 2 or 3 times a week and did not mistreat them.) Initially this was a small issue and didnt matter. When the cracks needed to be held together to set the programs (duct tape!), I decided to contact Bosch. The service rep was polite, but the experience was unsatisfactory. The machines were out of warranty. Bosch offered a 20% discount on replacement panels, which ran into around $800, plus the installation, which they would not cover. I was shocked because I had equated German engineering with product quality. The dishwasher is OK, wonderfully quiet, but not esp. well designed for US use. I am disappointed in Bosch. The machines have pre-set cycles and are not set up for flexible use; they clean well, although the front loader washer needs to be cleaned once a month or the moldy smell is intolerable. I would guess that these products came to market a little early in the design process. I am writing this review to encourage any prospective Bosch buyers to look at (yes, Im saying this) machines made in the US. Whirlpool and Kenmore have well-reviewed machines with decent warranties (sometimes for added cost).

INVESTIGATE: BOSCHs @YOUR SERVICE (AT-YOUR-SVC) (KIRKLAND, WA) PROVIDER FOR FRAUD. FILE NO. **. My BOSCH microwave stopped working on 11/27/2017, I contacted BOSCH customer support and was recommended to schedule an appointment with BOSCH authorized @Your Service (Kirkland, WA) local service provider. The owner/technician showed-up on 11/29/2017, ran microwave for 30 seconds and created an invoice stating that Magnetron, PC board w/ inverter and Control board membrane have stopped working. I requested the technician to at least open up the microwave to check but he declined stating that he has enough (30+ years) experience to know whats going on. I paid $120 for 5 mins diagnostics and was assured that this amount will be used towards the appliance repair.@Your Service asked me to order parts directly from BOSCH. I paid $300 for all parts and received it last weekend. @Your Service was scheduled to come on 12/14/2017 for the repairs but they declined stating that they dont have time to fix it and were upset that the parts were sent directly to my home instead of their service location. They now refuse to fix the microwave. I have now scheduled BOSCH to repair the microwave on 01/02/2018. I want BOSCH to investigate the following:1) How can a BOSCH authorized service provider do the diagnosis to identify broken parts & charge customer without even opening the appliance? Is BOSCH really trying to sell & push more spare parts to customers via these 3rd party providers? 2) What are guidelines for BOSCH to authorize a local service provider? Based on my experience @Your Service (AT-YOUR-SVC) (KIRKLAND, WA) is a FRAUD company, using BOSCHs brand name for business and cheating customers. 3) How can I file a formal complaint to BOSCH management to investigate this and exclude @YOUR SERVICE from being an authorized BOSCH service provider? Happy to engage with a manager/executive to discuss this in detail.

I live alone and wanted a small capacity washer and dryer, although I bought a set the washer has a larger capacity than the dryer, so there was a learning curve. But they are the perfect size for me. The cycles on the dryer will not dry my clothes, but there is a timed dry option, which works just fine. You just have to be careful with overloading. This is not an issue for me, but it may be for others. The washer is close to perfect.

I have a Bosch Evolution Gas Range that we have had for about 4 years. I have been quite happy with the range for the most part, except for the ongoing problem with the oven door not closing. I have done some research and it appears to be a very common problem that has been going on for years! I am extremely unhappy that such a well known company with such a good reputation would risk losing satisfied customers by ignoring this issue! Dont you understand that poor customer service can destroy that wonderful reputation? How can I, in good conscience, recommend a company that will not take responsibility for a chronic and common problem with their product? The answer is, I cant! Im very disappointed. My husband checked and it was like they said it should be. I had the repair department from Lowes to come out. He replaced the drain hose, checked everything else and said I was good to go. He said I was using too much detergent. I did what he said about cleaning it and changed detergents and it still is smelling. I have had dishwashers for 40 years and never had this problem with any of them. Can you help me with this? I love the quietness of the Bosch, but cant live with the odor.

Have a Bosch built-in refrigerator with TWO issues related to the icemaker. Have had it only 6 months, but both problems pretty much from the beginning. First of all, it keeps dropping ice into the tray, and the tray overflows because all the ice drops down in the back of the tray, while the front of the tray pretty much stays empty. Had serviceman here twice, and both times he told me I have to keep pushing the ice from the back of the tray to the front. Told me the manual says that. It doesnt.MORE IMPORTANT - there are little tiny flies and an awful smell in our freezer ever since the fridges circuit breaker blew while we were away for a month. Every once in a while Ill see a tiny larva inside an ice cube. Pretty sure there is a nest in the icemaker or water line. Or possibly in the drip tray. The bugs seem to come out every couple of weeks - probably the gestation time for the new eggs that were laid. Weve never seen a live one - only dead. Had both exterminator & Bosch service person tell us we need to totally uninstall the fridge and clean & disinfect. Seems to me there should be a way to get to the drip tray & icemaker without uninstalling the fridge. Have 4 boxes of baking soda - still have the smell.

Just bought a new Bosch one week ago. Terrible installation. The machine was left with lots of water in it. And a HORRIBLE SMELL! I was also dismayed by the extremely small amount of dishes that could be loaded due to the small spaces between the tines and the direction of them. I could not get anywhere near the same load in as my great whirlpool prior to this. I usually do one load a week or less. I filled the washer to try as the manual says the product comes with a smell!! Really! Could the installer or salesman explain this or say what to do about it? Then after the load it was still wet inside and still stinks. Ive had it and its only been 5 days.

How long did Bosch think I would wait till I went and purchased another dishwasher or fixed the current one?Frankly I believe that was the whole point of WAITING FIVE DAYS BEFORE E-MAILING ME! Bosch says that since the repair was performed before their authorized service guy came to look at it, they would not pay for the part! I believe that was Boschs whole point!!! I bought this elsewhere about three years ago, and have to say at first I really didn't know what to make of it. It's definitely different from a conventional dryer. The drying cycle takes a little longer, and your clothes aren't bone dry when they come out. They aren't damp either. It's like they're on the edge of dry and they dry when you take them out of the machine. After getting used to it, I couldn't live without this dryer - love it. It's perfect for my situation, I happened to have a washer hookup and dryer outlet in my condo, but no vent. This is perfect. The little bit of water that comes out of your clothes will be pumped out of the machine and go down the drainage hose, or if you don't have that option I believe you can sponge it out. Give it a try, it's a great machine.

My experience with a Bosch dishwasher was having it hang up during a cycle and not shut off. This was the first month I used it. Turns out it was under recall for a control board failure that had caused fires. Unfortunately only a licenced Bosch repair company could do the warranty work. Closest and only (?) one in OR is 90 mins away. Control board costs half of what a good competitor brand machine costs. Since having it fixed, if the machine gets interrupted by power bump, door open, off button pressed, or anything, then it loses its place and is a nightmare to reset. Try googling how to reset one. Note the multiple ways given and question how or why there are so many. If I can just get it to drain this time, I have a Maytag waiting in the kitchen to take its place.

I purchased a $1,600 Bosch dishwasher with the hope of owning a top rated and performing dishwasher. Wrong! This dishwasher has been nothing but trouble. At 8 months, it leaked profusely and caused $4,000 in damage to the kitchen in my 2 year old house. I live in Florida and this caused mold, which required remediation and the replacement of a kitchen cabinet. The pain of messing up my beautiful new home in addition to the loss of use of a dishwasher for 4 months. Their insurance company did pay, but my inconvenience and exposure to the mold was not even considered. The next year, the power cord was recalled due to fires. A backorder for the part took one month. Last month, the drain pump failed and another 3 weeks of no dishwasher. All told, this dishwasher has been out of commission for almost 5 months. Bosch’s Reply is, The dishwasher is out of warranty, so take it up with your extended warranty. What about Bosch’s obligation to provide the customer with the goods that they paid for? Did I mention how rude the customer service reps are? Bosch needs to own up to their shortcomings and be fair to the consumer. Lemons happen and they need to correct the situation with a new product. Don’t hold your breath!

I was so looking forward and very excited to finally have Bosch appliances in my newly remodeled kitchen, however, I am now very disappointed and heartbroken with my first time Bosch appliance experience. Purchased the Bosch kitchen appliance suite and while the refrigerator and range seem to be fine, our installer discovered severe concealed damage to the $1000 dishwasher when unpacking to install. The inside of the dishwasher is crushed in from the top and the upper spray unit was dislodged from its bracket. The box arrived in perfect condition (as did the range and refrigerator) and no damage is noticeable until unpacked AND the felt covering is pulled back to see the damage to the outside of the unit. The response from the Bosch USA customer service team was that, upon review, they were unable (unwilling!) to help. When I asked to speak to the decision making manager I was told We are not allowed to do that. It would appear that the dishwasher was damaged at the Bosch factory and shipped to the distributor who also assumed the unit was undamaged due to the perfect condition of the box. Is this the way a world-renowned brand like Bosch provides excellent customer service and satisfaction?!? Really?!?

I have a fully equipped kitchen of brand new Bosch appliances. I started using them in April of 2019. In early November of that year, a small part on the lower freezer drawer broke off. This is the main freezer. I called Bosch service directly to schedule the repair. I was told that they contract their service out and that they only had two service companies in the entire San Diego county area, a HUGE area. Only one of these service companies was willing to come out and take look. The serviceman came out but did not have the part needed. He ordered it from Bosch. I heard nothing for 3 months. When I called Bosch in February 2020, still no part available. Now May, I called again and was told that the part was still not available and was “probably” coming from China and in fact may be discontinued altogether. I was told there was nothing they could do and that they will TRY and call IF it comes in. Wow. Beware! Choose appliances that have better service available and customer care in place.

Purchased 2 dishwashers from Sears. One went to daughter. Hers broke down in first month of having it. Customer service gave us two repair companies to call. Repairman came out and had to call Bosch to have them walk through what to do in finding out what is wrong. Finally after a couple of calls, parts had to be ordered. I called customer service when I found out part was on backorder for 2 or more weeks. They explained part had just come in that day but would not go out to repair service for at least 10 days or so. I explained that she had the machine for about a month and now it is going to be out of service for that long. Customer service said they would expedite it. They would call and let us know it was on way. I had to call again because now a second or third part I didnt know about is on backorder. Has been 2 weeks and no one has let us know how things are going. Will not buy Bosch again. Customer service is pitiful. I worry my machine will break down now. Thought Bosch was a good company. Have had my Bosch front loader clothes washer for over 5 years. Bought it because I wanted to do my part to minimize my foot print in water usage. Yep. A pain the whole time. My saving grace on major repairs is that I bought an extended warranty thru Lowes, although theyve had trouble getting the right part from Bosch. (Certified Bosch repair is expensive and not readily available even in Houston.) Dryer has not been QUITE the pain of the washer. It does dry close really well. Just breaks down once a year and tangles your clothes.Longest wash cycle I have EVER seen... 45-60 minutes. The spin cycle works well enough, but your clothes get all tangled together, so they are more wrinkled. (So the efficiency of the dryer didnt speed up laundry duties. Dryer sits empty while I wait on the washer to finish... the opposite of washers and dryers of the past.) Right off the bat, the washer began to smell and the clothes, too. (Everyone must know this by now. Four years later, Tide comes out with a washing machine cleaner. Now the machine to clean my clothes needs a cleaner!!) Called for warranty work. Of course, they said it was MY fault. Too much detergent. NO. Wrong detergent. NO. Too large a load. NO. Too much fabric softener. NO. Well, then they say, leave it open between washes and run an empty wash with Clorox every few days. Excuse me? THIS is saving water??? Have to use a bleaching scrub and bristled brush to clean the rubber gasket around the door from the mold and mildew every couple of months, and run an empty wash to clean it before washing clothes again. (What do you think it looks like INSIDE where I cant see or reach???) So, we NEVER leave a washed load in for more than an hour, because it will need washing again.) Also run a bleach wash at least once a week (another delay), as a preventative measure, and supplement with small amount of baking soda. AND the clothes often dont smell clean. EVERY spot needs pre-treating. Towels are particularly tough to get smelling clean, and often the hand towels dont come clean in the most used areas.About every fifth wash load, the finished load is soaking wet. Since I cant tell when it malfunctioned, and if it did so with detergent in it (low sudsing detergent), I have to wash the load again. Another hour-long delay. P.S. Front loaders need to be raised, set up on a platform. Extra expense in purchase (and delivery and tax). You STILL have to lean down to drag the wet clothes out, and it locks you out (as it would have to) so you can never add a last minute item of clothing or extra cleaning product. Now, my start button is beginning to be difficult to press to start the process. AHHH! Well, I am off to read other blogs on other washers. Hubbie says GET ANOTHER WASHER! We have struggled long enough. And the Lowes warranty is expired. I will dismantle this one so that no one can ever get stuck with it.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in January of 2014. Three months later my stainless steel silverware began to rust and glasses became cloudy. I read the manual and made some adjustment to the Jet Dry dispenser, but it made no difference. Lowes sent out two different repairmen and they could find nothing wrong. I showed them the silverware and glasses and they called Bosch. Bosch made recommendations that did not work.I contacted Bosch and they told me in order to return the dishwasher I needed the original receipt. I couldnt find it and Lowes eventually found it in their records and sent it on to Bosch. It took about 6 months working with Bosch to get to this point. It also involved several store managers. Once all the paperwork had been turned in I heard nothing from Bosch. Several weeks passed and I finally called. They told me the dishwasher would not be replaced. Instead, Lowes replaced the dishwasher. Thank you Lowes!I found the company EXTREMELY difficult to work with. I think they knew from the beginning they were not going to replace the dishwasher, but they had Lowes and me jump all kinds of hoops anyhow. I do not recommend purchasing a Bosch dishwasher. The only thing I could figure out was that something had been left inside the dishwasher causing the problem. Bosch denied this and said it couldnt happen. I replaced the Bosch with a KitchenAid. It works great and is made in America.

We bought a Bosch dishwasher from Lowes 2 years ago thinking it was supposed to be the best. Far from it. It doesnt get dishes clean, runs forever, smells horrible, and the soap dispenser wont open. The only positive is that its quiet. Its REALLY quiet now - weve given up on it and are washing our dishes by hand so they get clean. Pathetic.
