Burnt food last night in the microwave and it's running normally today Is this part of it damaged -
Posted On: September 19, 2023

I burnt some Mac n cheese yesterday, and cleaned everything. I ran the microwave with some vinegar and some dish soap for a few minutes each to get rid of the odor. The microwave was functioning normally and the cups that the dish soap and vinegar were in were adequately hot.

However, I noticed this grey part I circled. I think it was like this before, but I'm not too sure.

My question: does it look burned/damaged, and is this going to be a potential fire/electrical hazard?

Thanks!.

Answer:

You can buy replacements online for cheap for that part, you can get universal ones you just cut to fit.
