This stove is really easy to use and clean. It is not like the old style where you have to lift the top to clean underneath. The oven is very easy to clean also. The burners are easy lighting and also the oven is too.

About a year ago, I purchased an Amana oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Granted, all three were on the economy end of the model spectrum. I have issues with all three. The oven door on after only 4 months started to bind opening and closing. Also, the plastic trim around the oven handle also is cracked and continues to get worse. I called Amana thinking I could get it repaired within the 1 yr. warranty. I was told that the oven door repair is not covered because it does not affect the functionality of the appliance. Really? I think the door has quite a bit to do with the functionality of an oven. Regarding the microwave, the door, also cracking off the plastic trim around the window part of the door. Thirdly, the dishwasher upper rack keeps falling off the track because end bracket on the left side often comes unsnapped. These design (or should I say misdesigned) elements of Amana products should not be occurring. Especially after only a few months of use. Oh, by the way, after my 1 yr. warranty expired a couple months ago, I received a card offering to extend my warranty. You have to be kidding! I have sold my home and I will not have to be living with these inferior Amana appliances for long. I will never purchase an Amana appliance ever again. I used to think made in America meant something.

First and foremost DO NOT PURCHASE AMANA anything!!! I made that huge mistake when purchasing my oven and bottom freezer refrigerator in 2004. Compressor was dead within 5yrs of purchase. The stove was and is a nightmare!! Of course this stove is no longer made and good luck trying to find parts. This stove retail was approximately 1100.00 middle of the road price but for all the error codes it throws out, it makes one think how dumb was I to even THINK about buying this model or brand!!Replaced two oven sensors, temp regulators now door does not shut correctly therefore heat escapes from oven and get ready because when that happens the timer/clock control board melts!!! Really???!!! AMANA is blind to this and will ignore all of your complaints!!! You might as well just hold a match to your money when it comes to AMANA!! One will have difficulty finding parts for a discontinued model on anything but this is how AMANA conducts business!!! I totally understand with time all things need to be replaced and simply run its course. However, 4 to 5 yrs life expectancy is max on all AMANA anything! Just tell yourself AMANA is no longer being made and save yourself the aggravation.

I bought a Amana washer and paid over 400.00 dollars for it brand new in the box. It last 1 year before the door that automatically latches the door on top broke and on the front of the control panel its flashing and says door latch. Its going to cost me 90.00 for a new lock. If thats the problem - if not, they said its the circuit board. It cost 230.00. I will never buy another appliances under this name.

We recently purchased an Amana washer Model# NTW4605EW1. Supposedly high efficiency. It takes at least 2 full washes to get clothes clean and that includes an extra rinse each time. My husbands work clothes are on a 3rd wash right now. Fed up!! What a waste of money time and water. Now spending money to go to a laundromat until we can afford a new washer. We cant even sell it. How can I do that to some other family? Brand new and headed to the dump. Shame on you Amana.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator 3 years ago and so soon the compressor went out. I had a 4-year warrant from Home Depot. Some guy, he was not with Home Depot but from an appliance repair store, they hired came out and he was very rude. I would ask him a question about the freon and he would shrug his shoulders. I think this was because he is white and Im Spanish. Lately, since the apartments next door have been empty for a year, roaches have come to my home from there. Because I keep up on roach control, we did not have them before. He found two roaches on the floor and put down we were infested, which we are not. Now Home Depot says they will not fix it. But another repair person says that’s absurd. Even if you have them roaches, they can not get in the compressor.I blame Amana for making cheap refrigerators. Did you know they put cardboard to cover the back of the refrigerator? And I blame Home Depot for not delivering what they agreed. We are going to have to put another tent over our house to get rid of the roaches.

I bought an Amana frontloader (Model #NFW7200TW) 4 years ago at Home Depot. Machine stopped draining and started showing error code (nd = not draining). I called a repairman, and he diagnosed the problem as a bad relay for the pump. He said because the relay was encased in resin on the back of the control panel, I would have to buy a new panel. Later, when he called me to give the part number, he said that the part was on a nationwide backorder and would be $400.00 when it became available on 10/15. I did some checking online and found that the part W10273828 is in fact on back order and no one has one. It seems that this means that this part is a definite weak link, and this model should be recalled. On this site, there are several posts with the same problem.

We have an Amana refrigerator model ARB2557CSR. We have had it for 8 years. We have had a few repairs over the years, but last night took the wind out of all of us that witnessed the door fall off the hinge and break the contents that were on the door. If anyones foot would have been in the area, it would had sliced it off or crushed terribly. The door was opened and for unknown reason, dropped off onto our slate floor. If our grandson would have been near, he could have been crushed. I checked the hinges and sprockets, and it still didnt make sense. After reading other remarks about doors in consumer reviews, I am one to be added to the list. This door was one large door, not double door. It was heavy. Please be aware of this defect. I am looking at other models, yet similar malfunctions have occurred that reviews have stated. Really a frightening experience. We will be looking at other models, yet not really confident about any. Hope this helps.

This stove is the worst!!!! Oven doesnt stay hot, cant bake using both oven racks because one rack will not bake at all, top surface scratches easily when trying to move a pot, no top light, melt element burns the food, drawer keeps coming off track. Space between top and back, space between top and oven door. I would never recommend this stove, its not two years old but Ive disliked it from the get-go.

We have an Amana 30 slide-in gas range (model # ACS3350AS) that is about 6 years old. The top burners are out of adjustment and are burning yellow. I went to the Amana website to find out how to adjust the air/fuel ratio and they wanted payment for answering a question. I spent 35 years in the gas customer service department of a large utility company, 20 of which were spent as a service technician for gas heating/hot water heating systems. After reading some of the complaints and evaluating their level of customer service and overall customer sensitivity, this company, Amana, is failing miserably. The upshot is that their executive management should probably seek positions that require a more parochial approach to business.

In 2007, I purchased an electric ceramic top slide in range model acs4250-aw. It was installed in a vacation home and used four to eight weeks per year and is still in pristene condition. In July 2011, the ERC timer panel short circuited and burned, rendering the unit nonfunctional. We have made extensive inquiries through the internet and through other sources by phone and have failed to find a replacement panel which we come to find is no longer available. After talking to Whirlpool Corporate Office, as a last resort, we were advised unceremoniously and without the least attempt to appreciate our dilemma that the part was no longer available, and that they had no process to mount a search for this part and that there was nothing they could do to help. So, we had purchased a $1800.00 plus range bearing the AMANA name which is now useless except to hang towels on. We will never buy a product from the Whirlpool group of companies again.

I currently own an Amana French door refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. I have had these products for a little over a year and the warranty on these products is a year. Recently, my Amana dishwasher model # ADB1500AWS3 panel went out. I have used this product about 20 times. I contacted Amana customer service and they said that even though the warranty expired, they would cover the part and I would have to pay for service and labor. With that understanding, I arranged service on the dishwasher. The repair guy replaced the part for $150.00 and I got a total bill for $243.00 for service, labor, and part. I contacted Amana to ask them what the next step was to get reimbursed for the $150.00. Well long story short, Amana backed out of their word and said that they were not going to cover the part now, even though a supervisor orally agreed to cover the cost of the part. I lost a lot of trust and respect for Amana and their products today. I will never purchase another Amana product again.

It has been over 2 months now that I have went without my washer. It isnt even a year old yet. First time I called Amana it was a runaround. The person I talked to was very rude, didnt even send over my information to IAM Appliance in Piqua, Ohio. So I had taken the day off work to wait for someone. When they didnt show, I called IAM and asked why no one showed. They said they didnt have any information that they were supposed to be out. So I called back to Amana and the guy I talked to was very rude and said, Looks like it wasnt sent over. So he told me I had to call another place, that he couldnt call them, I had to. So I called and no answer so I called back to Amana and they again was very rude. So finally they send my information over to IAM appliance. A week later, on Tuesday a tech came out. He looked at my washer after I had already explained what was wrong, it was the lid lock not locking, it would fill and that was it. So the next Tuesday, he came out and ordered a lid lock, the board, and another part all the parts worked but the lid lock. So here is to another week of waiting. Came out again that following Tuesday that lid lock didnt work. Each time he came out something didnt work. Then the board didnt work the new one he had replaced. This happened for over a month. So I called corporate. Talked to a lady last Monday. She said she would send me a new washer. Got my new washer today. They told me I was getting a Whirlpool but I go another Amana same model number. They took the old washer today and this washer doesnt work, it doesnt wash clothes. It fills the drum doesnt wash clothes or spin, and the lid lock works but when finished the clothes are dripping wet. So this is another lost. I will not recommended Amana or Whirlpool to anyone. Since they have been around for a while now I figured they would be a great appliance. Guess not. So now Im out of a washer and here goes to washing my clothes in the tub again!! Very unhappy!! DO NOT BUY AMANA.

Bought an Amana Refrigerator AFI2359ERM00 Dec 2015 and it crapped out 4 months after the 1 year warranty expired. Imagine that. Glad I bought the extended warranty through Home Depot! LoL since April 2017 my fridge has quit working 5 times and totally defrosted and ruined 5 fridge full of food. Freds Appliance has been out 5 times to try to fix it and cant. It seems to break down every 3 weeks or so. Then after 2-3 days of clicking and buzzing it starts cooling again. Well the quickest they can get out is 4 days and by then its up and running and the tech says well I pushed a few buttons and cant find anything wrong. Amana/Whirlpool has washed their hands of it because of the extended warranty I bought through HD. HD wont replace it because they claim the SAME part has to be replaced 3 times before it is considered a lemon. Been in limbo since April and its so frustrating.Dont waste your money on Amana. Poor quality! Even worse customer service. Same with HD. Very robotic in their responses. They are all sorry Im having an issue, but wont take responsibility. Plus since the unit seems to break down when Im not at home and all of the ice from the hopper melts and runs down the front of the fridge all over the floor. Now it has ruined my hardwood floor all around the unit. What a POS.

I was given an expensive (about $300/$400) Amana microwave last year. One year and one day exactly, it just quit. It wouldnt work, nothing. My daughter called the repair and they said theyd send out a repairman. He called to confirm the appointment and the first words were, Will this be credit, check or cash? I called the Amana company and they told me the cost would be $129 for the man to come to the house and diagnose the problem. Anything else would be extra as the warranty had expired (one day before the machine stopped working). For less than the service call, we got another brand of microwave that works just as well. If it goes out in a year, it will still be cheaper than anything Amana offers. To top this whole mess off, yesterday, about a month after the equipment failure, I got a standard form letter from Amana urging me to buy an extended warranty and the basic one year was about $60. This would have done me no good as the microwave was already broken and out of warranty. I sent a letter last night to the Amana customer service. I got another canned reply today about how good the warranty was and how sorry they were, but they couldnt apply any warranty to the old one because it had lapsed. This is an outrageous example of the planned obsolescence now in use. Amana used to be a top company up there with Maytag. My first microwave was an Amana Radarange. I bought it when they first came out and it lasted about 10 years. Now, this piece of junk that was expensive to begin with only lasted one year and one day. Amana should offer a complete refund to customers that have these problems. Ill never buy Amana again. And since Amana is now owned by Whirlpool/Maytag, Ill probably never buy them again either. How sad that American quality has gone down the drain just so the big companies can get richer at our expense.

This is the worst washing machine Ive ever used! You cannot soak any clothes because if you walk away with the lid open during the filling cycle and you do not close the lid within 10 minutes it pumps the water out. There is no way to delay the wash cycle in order to soak a load of clothes. The rise cycle fills with cold water, does not agitate, and immediately pumps the water out. When it has finished pumping the water out (there is no way to stop this action) I then need to turn the selector knob to rinse in order to rinse the clothes. This results in my using twice the water for the rinse. Talk about a crummy machine. I had a repairman out to replace the control board, but it only worked for a week. My advice - DO NO BUY AMANA PRODUCTS!

I purchased an electrical oven from Buddys Appliances - something went wrong and they replaced it with the Amana Electric Oven. So after cooking dinner I put it on self clean and it did the usual, I didnt think much of it till I noticed the inside of my oven was in flames. Lucky my son-in-law and his friend pulled it out of the house, I couldnt put it out myself being that it went on to self lock. This machine does not wash clothes very well. Everything must be hand washed beforehand. So for lightly soiled items, it would be nice to be able to just rinse and spin/dry. But even this small feature is impossible to isolate. The spin cycle leaves clothes quite wet. The rinse cycle adds more water than the wash cycle does and takes forever. Remember that I am getting the dirt out by washing the clothes by hand. The wash cycle does such a poor job. When I put the bed cover in for a wash, the water level did not wet more than half of the cover. So I manually filled it with water from the sink. The washer released the water out. So I wasted all that soap and effort. I took the cover to the laundromat. This machine does not wash laundry well. It has one reason for being in the house: to wash laundry, and I am doing clothes by hand or going to a laundromat. #fail.

Bought a house with an Amana central a/c system. Was under warranty. When the system failed the technician called into Amana to have repair covered under the existing warranty. Amana refused to honor the warranty because the owner that purchased the system had sold the house to me. I paid over $1,000 to have the unit serviced with freon and have a leak detection done. With the repairs that need to be done, the technician wanted another $1600. I am on a $1600 a month disability income and have already put the $1000 to find what was wrong on my credit card because I dont have the funds. I told the technician I cannot afford to fix the unit. Note to Amana company. You may have saved your stockholders $1600, but the damage in bad faith complaints will be much more costly. Terrible business practice and non-existent customer service.

Our Kenmore Elite (made by Whirlpool) upright freezer died after 5 years. To me thats a short lifespan. We purchased a new Amana upright freezer (also made by Whirlpool) to replace it February 18, 2018 and today (June 11, 2018) now refuses to freeze anything. It runs constantly but will not freeze even though its set to deep freeze. Called for a repair which is coming tomorrow so Ill see how this plays out. Probably a nightmare. In addition and while dealing with the freezer our Whirlpool refrigerator has now also died at 9 years. Again doesnt this seem a bit short? The Consumer Reports and others say 10 to 15 years is normal... so honestly is Whirlpool now building junk?Updated on 07/12/2018: I wrote an initial review on June 11 about my experience with Whirlpool. This is an update: I just want you to know how completely disenchanted I am with Whirlpool products. We purchased a Kenmore Elite freezer (made by Whirlpool) approx. 5 years ago and it died prematurely last February. Then in February we replaced it with an Amana freezer (also made by Whirlpool) and it too has died now after 4 months. THE REPAIRMAN CAME TODAY AND HE CANT FIX IT. In addition our Kenmore Elite refrigerator (made by Whirlpool) has also died prematurely two days ago and it also can’t be fixed. So right now we have no freezer and no fridge and it’s going to take days to figure out what the next move is... replace??? So who pays for all the food product we have lost?? I’m absolutely disgusted with Whirlpool products. In communicating with Whirlpool their attitude was lack-lustre. It goes through a process that takes days to complete and weeks to get a replacement if they even agree to do that. In the meantime we have lost hundreds of dollars in food and no-one cares. Never again will I buy Whirlpool.

I purchased an Amana HVAC system and in a little over a year- in the middle of summer it has broke 3 times. We have gone without an AC in Texas for 12 days. I contacted their corporate office and they were no help. I also contacted the distributor and they put me in contact with the regional tech and he told me I needed to be willing to spend some money to try to find the problem. This is unacceptable in my opinion. I am very frustrated and would never recommend this brand.

They ask two weeks to come and see. When the technician came he said the compressor is death and we have to wait two more weeks to arrival of the new compressor. Ok fixed. But two more weeks later stopped again. I called again the Flamingo repair and they did the same procedure. After a lot of stress because many food lost they finally fixed. But two weeks later stopped again. So far Im waiting the technician to come again and fix it. Im very unhappy. I realize that I bought a garbage, waste of money. After moving in to a new home and seeing a brand new stove installed, I was excited to get cooking. I noticed that the stove grates were bent from the middle (the grates are long and the front burner and back burner are connected on the same grate). I didnt think this would be an issue because maybe the pans/pots I use would be heavy enough to compress the grates down. I was wrong to think that and the pots/pans will slide when put on the grates because of how they are angled. I have spilled a full pan of oil (luckily not heated to a dangerous temp yet) when the pan was placed squarely in the middle of the burner and it just slid forward and off the stove top.Amana was called to try and get replacements for the brand new appliance but they told us that the bend in the grates is on purpose and they will not be fixing the danger their appliance puts us in. I now can only use the back burners (one of which is very small) or I run the risk of hurting myself with hot falling pots and pans. They are confident this is normal and are fine with the dangers. Do not buy from Amana as they will sell you a dangerous product.

???? Amana Whirlpool Whirlpool Customer Care Center. The whole 4 MONTH experience to have our fridge replaced has been a joke. We have had 4 service technicians come out in order to decide we need the whole refrigerator replaced. Then it couldnt be shipped out for a whole month. Now it was supposed to be delivered today June 5th 2020 between 1:30-5:30pm. Only to be told that J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Couldnt deliver it when they scheduled to because the driver ran out of hours, not blaming the driver. I blame the company for putting too many on the load so it couldnt be delivered on a 3 day ahead scheduled appointment. It absolutely should not take 4 freaking months to get a refrigerator much less during COVID-19 putting my family in more Danger to have to go to the store more for our needs for a family of 6. Not to mention both my husband and daugthers medications have to be kept cold. THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD WITH A WARRANTY ISSUE. I personally expected better from every company list because we have had issues with each department leading up to not have a working refrigerator for 4 months.. Only buy these products if you expect to never have to deal with horrible customer service and overall horrible experience. #whirlpoolsucks #whirlpoolcustomerservicesucks #amanasucks #fedup #Corona_Virus #medicalneeds

I purchased an Amana Washer and Dryer from McKinneys Appliance in September 2014. Sometimes it works - but more often it does not. It does not clean the clothes, but it does get them wet. I put a load in, press the start button, and it sits there - finally a ding and the door locks and the cycle goes directly to spin - and no water in the tub. The circuit board has been replaced twice - the repair lasts one month, and the problem comes back again. I contacted Amana and waited 6 weeks for a repair person from Appliance Repair - the company was in another city.

My husband and I bought a brand new Amana front load washer in May of 2009.
My husband and I bought a brand new Amana front load washer in May of 2009. Last week, March 5, 2011, it broke. It began buzzing. When I went to check it, the washer has an “ND” code and it would not open. The first girl I spoke with was Samantha. She told me that she couldnt find that code in her computer (on the net is says it means no drain, most likely true), but she told me how to get the washer to unlocked. Eventually, it did work. My washer still had dirty water and soap in it. I handled the soapy mess and later washed my clothing at my in-law’s house. When I called back to talk to them about why my washer wouldnt work and what they could do to help me, I was told nothing. I spoke to a manager and was told the same thing. The only thing they were willing to do was give me a warranty plus one. Meaning, that I get this repair fixed and one-year warranty on the piece of junk in my basement. My washer wont be 3 till May. There is no reason for it to be broken. I also did my own research and many people have complained about the same problem. I feel that this washer should be recalled or at least the company should fix it at no cost to the consumer. This seems to be an on-going problem with this model. We bought thinking this we were buying from a good company. Now, Im stuck with a scrap pile till I get the repair guy to come out, thanks to a warranty that I have to pay for out of pocket.

My refrigerator had stopped working. I called Amana and gave flamingo appliances to look at it. Technician said that water got into the lines and the refrigerator could not be fixed because of rust. I dont know how rust could form in an aluminum line and combine with the refrigerant. I have a service contract with Amana and they refused to honor it, because they said rust is not covered. I do not believe the technician because he did not look too hard and try different things. He was in my house about 15 minutes and called to Amana. I called Amana and they told me they would not even reimburse me for spoiled food because rust damage is not covered. Amana Refrigerator, Not Good After 6 Years: We purchased an Amana bottom freezer refrigerator, model#ABB2227DES, serial#10253964EP at Sears approximately 6 years ago. We have had numerous issues with the refrigerator starting just after the 12-month warranty ran out. At one point, I paid $300 for an extended warranty. I had to have more repairs on it and was told by several technicians that the compressor would be going and it won’t be worth paying for the repair (roughly 50% of the $1300 that we paid for the fridge). At this point, including the purchase and repairs of the refrigerator, we are over the $2000 mark. Again, the fridge just died and we have been told that the compressor is gone and it would not be worth it to fix unless Whirlpool agrees to pay the repairs. I would like Whirlpool to pay for the repairs of this refrigerator or provide a comparable refrigerator, or I will contact my own attorney in regard to this.

We purchased a basic model Amana refrigerator A9RXNMFWB01 in June 2010, delivered in July 2010. The refrigerator was making a lot of noise the past few months. We didnt realize the fan was not working properly. When the fan quit, the food was still frozen in the top freezer. But the refrigerator compartment would not go below 50 degrees. I called for the Amana technician. A & E couldnt make it over until the following week, so we called a local repairman. $182 later, new fan, the refrigerator is fixed. Its only 15 months old! Our old Amana is still running since 1997. We have never had troubles with a refrigerator in our 35 years of buying appliances. Now I see on reviews of compressors going bad. Appliances are not made well and we will be lucky to get 8 years out of this Amana with cheap parts. There go our landfills. What can we buy that wont cost hundreds to fix? We have never had to buy extended warranty. This is a money maker for Amana (Maytag, Whirlpool). It’s a lesson learned. I’m very dissatisfied. I feel we deserve to be compensated for this breakdown, especially since it acted up during the 1st year of warranty. We shall see if Amana can make it right.

I purchased Amana fridge (model AFD2535DEQ) on 12-4-2008. Excellent looks, cooling, and energy conservation. Loved the bottom freezer. On December 2011, the fridge’s cooling lost efficiency. The repair tech says top compressor is not working. The cost to repair is half the cost of the fridge. To date the top fridge is keeping at 39 degrees while set on coldest setting. Freezer works fine. For the forty years of my marriage I have purchased and used Maytag and Amana products. Never again! We purchased a NEW Amana Electric range model #AER6303MFS2 11 MONTHS AGO. Heat escaping from the stove seems to be excessive when cooking. Kitchen gets uncomfortable hot. Had Amana technician check (8/24/2020) and during the heat cycle (with stove set at 350 F) stove registered (with techs instruments) a low of 328F and a high of 382F....a 54 degree swing??? Tech indicated this was normal range. This seems excessive on both ends. Spoke to Home Depot and their appliance salespeople could not confirm or deny this 54 degree range as being normal! Contacted Amana thru survey channel and have not received any response. Looking at replacing stove with another brand that has better heat control.

My fridge is seven and a half years old. It is an SS Amana side-by-side. About three years ago, so it was five years old at the time, the fridge stopped cooling. And when the repair man came, out the freezer coils were all frosted up. At this time, he replaced the defrost timer but said he did not feel comfortable that that was it. That was in June. In November, it happened again. We replaced it yet again. Well, it now happened at least every three to four months. Sometimes we can reset the timer and it will work for a while again. I have read all the reviews and they are so numerous I cannot even read them all. Obviously, something with this product is extremely faulty. I have asked them to come out and get to the root cause of the problem, and they insist on charging me just for the service call. Thats not to mention the part cost. Warning do not accept delivery of stove if when its plugged it says F1E1. It means the stove control panel is broken and oven will not work! An Amana electric stove was ordered online via Home Depot. Delivery time a week. A week passed no stove. Phone call made told they were out of stock and would be in a few weeks. Got a call after a few weeks, delivery would be in the next 2 hours. 4 hours later calls made and no stove would be delivered on next day in a 4 hour open window. Stove arrived, mover said See it works and turned on top burner, was in a hurry and disappeared. Finally a stove top & oven. Went to grocery store did the big shop roasts, baking goods, quiche supplies etc. Got home prepared food for oven. Started preheat and nothing seemed to click or change. Thought it might be user error entering in temp, bake, time etc in wrong order. Called Amana they are not open Sat and Sun. Called Home Depot not helpful since store did not sell it to me, was bought online. Provided a Maytag number called that. Rep wanted model number it was on the stove. It was not on the directions. I read off what was on the stove front and saw no model. Tried oven door, no, no model number. Finally she asked a colleague and said Look in the pull out drawer. No not there but I noticed a thin metal stamped striped hidden by the drawer. Down on my knees, head upside down tried to read print. Too tiny. Gave her model number based on Home Depot photo but then she needed a serial number, on the thin strip. Could not read it. I asked her as I had asked Home Depot what the code meant and had I entered in bake the wrong way and why did it say F1E1. Finally she said I needed a technician since that meant the control panel was broken but without a serial number nothing could be done. That was on a Sat. Tue someone stopped by and was able to write the number down using a flashlight. Called back in and next appointment if keep by Amana will be in a week.Summary a basic stove, no special adaptions, was ordered and it will be between 4-6 weeks before it might be useful. Food had to be thrown out, other items quality diminished by freezing. Why a new stove is delivered with a non working control panel is unacceptable. We bought an Amana washer in February 2015. We bought the biggest headache ever. Right before the manufacturer warranty went out we had our first major issue, the washer would not drain and spin. They came out to fix that. Three months later no water would go in. They came out to fix that. A few months later it was back to no spin and drain. A few months later we had to call them back and the leveler was out. Now I am calling them back it is so loud you cant stand it. Do not purchase from Amana. It has never really washed the clothes. I have to hand wash baby clothes before wash or food residue is still on the clothes.

I had no idea that the Amana side-by-side 25 cf fridge I bought in 1993 would last this long. Its now 20 yrs old and still going strong. The only problems I had were with the ice maker, which I had repaired a couple of times years ago. But when I moved the fridge to do floor work and replaced it, I opted not to connect the ice maker back up. All ice makers break down a lot, it seems. So I use the ice bin for food storage, and I use old fashioned ice trays with a specially-shaped bucket for ice. The temp control on my fridge seems to be just fine, after all these years. I do vacuum the front grill at the bottom occasionally and underneath to the extent I can. But Im looking for a new fridge because I think this one will probably go soon, and I dont want to have to buy a new one in an emergency situation. I dont know if Amanas are still made the same way, or if the quality has gone down, or even if I just lucked out with my fridge. But the layout of the fridge is awesome, the special compartment to keep milk extra cool, the freezer space, the quietness (w/o the ice maker its been pretty quiet, but the ice maker was pretty loud). If I could find an exact replica of the one I have, Id buy it in a heartbeat.

It is too cramped, much of the size is on the outside, not the inside. The shelves are inadequate and the inner construction of both shelves and drawers is flimsy. The real problem is my better half has looked at alternatives and they are no better. I could best call it all flash and no fire.

I purchased a brand new Amana 3.5 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer with Dual Action
I purchased a brand new Amana 3.5 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer with Dual Action Agitator (model NTW4516FW2) in July 2018 from Home Depot. The product has completely stopped working after just over 2.5 years of normal usage in a small household of 2 people. According to the repair representative, the controller has stopped working and needs to be replaced at a cost of more than $500 which would be more than the price paid. The product lasted less than a quarter of the expected lifespan of 12 years. A call to the company that owns Amana (Whirlpool) provided no reprieve such as a discount on a replacement purchase or credit towards other Whirlpool products.

Great refrigerator, till this weekend when the compressor quit - it will cost over $700.00 to repair and I was informed that the repairman couldnt guarantee the board would not conk out so I opt out of fixing it. No help from the company, too bad, so sorry.

We bought the most recommended fridge (Consumer Reports) the Amana Model AFF2534FEW 1 (or maybe 11... the Amana people cant quite figure out what the model number is... check it out). After very little use the fridge stopped working. Diagnosis... bad thermostat... blocking the coils. Thermostat replaced. A year later (and more ruined food) same problem... Again the thermostat was replaced. And guess what... it happened again. Third time... dont even bother asking the Amana group for help. They cannot even figure out the correct model number and they are not interested in helping in any way. This product and the company are not worthy of your hard earned money. I will NEVER purchase Amana again.

This was a dishwasher put in by the Seller of a home I was purchasing. I am a single senior who runs a dishwasher maybe every 10 days I would say. After just 2 years, the spray arm quit spraying water. This model only has one spray arm on the bottom. Research tells me its one of two things, pump or motor I think, and either way, I might as well buy a new dishwasher. This to me is totally unacceptable that an appliance would break down in such a short period of time. Do not recommend for this reason. When it worked, it did a fine job on the dishes. But Im a scraper and rinser and never put in pots and pans etc. I just cant recommend throwing $300 down the drain.

The Amana is an 18.5 cu.ft refrigerator. Its a year old and works well. I bought it for two reasons: a) a Bottom freezer and the height being less than 65 inches to fit under cupboards. It works well so far. Not noisy to disturb ones concentration. This would be my third fridge in 43 years. Im not hard on them.

I bought an Amana washer from Best Buy in January 2015 which has a 1 year warranty. I realized it doesnt rinse on any cycle. It runs water in to rinse but as soon as it fills and stops running water in, it runs the water out and spins. I have called the # for it to be repaired but we are still waiting for a repair man. I just hope it will be repaired before the warranty runs out. Dont know what else to do.

In 2002 bought Amana Distinctions top load washer and electric dryer. They worked great for 11 years with zero problems. The dryer still works. The washer died because when I started hearing a strange noise a couple of weeks ago, I didnt do anything about it and kept using the machine. Then during a load it started smoking. Turned out a bearing or gear or something went bad and the belt got out of alignment and running like this killed the transmission. I really wish I had called the repair person when I first heard the noise because the repair is too expensive to justify. I have really loved the no frills controls, stainless steel wash tub, and extra-large capacity. So disappointed. :(

I purchased a brand new stainless steal Amana refrigerator 6 months ago for 1200. The day it arrived I had issues. The doors do not line up. One door is 2 inches below the other. I called Amana and they told me this was due to a crooked house! The refrigerator sits perfectly level. Within hours we realized that the ice machine had design flaws. Water and ice cubes fail to land in the cup. Ice goes all over the floor. We have resorted to opening the freezer door and scooping ice out.About two weeks in to owning the refrigerator both of the sliding fruit and vegetation drawers were cracked. They are made of very brittle plastic. The drawers do not have castor wheels or a slide system. They just sit plastic on plastic. This causes major friction and difficulty shutting the drawers leading to them breaking. Amana offered to ship new ones but did not offer a fix. The refrigerator in the show room had extra freezer shelves and a meat cheese drawer. Mine came without them and I was told these are add on by Amana customer support. I will never again purchase an Amana product. Very dodgy craftsmanship.

We purchased an Amana ref from our local appliance store in the Renton Highlands, a model A9RXNGFYW. In 2011, during its warranty, we called store about the overheating problem. Told that needs to be addressed to the Amana people. Called them. They say this is normal operations. Now I am talking about heat that burns when you touch anyplace around the freezer seal & side of fridge. Just want to hear if anyone else has this problem. Thank you.

We bought our Amana side by side in 1980 when we moved to our new house. I believe it is a 24.5 cubic feet. Durability...it is still working excellently and thats a sign of quality. Thats 30 years and still kicking. We never had any repair on it nor have any problem with the cooling system. The only one that gave up was the drinking water line after 15 years of drinking service to my family. Service that I have done was annually clean and vacuum the accumulated dust at the bottom of the refrigerator including clean the drain pan. Thats it. If I need to replace this old workhorse in my kitchen Ill purchase another Amana refrigerator. I shared our experience with our friends around and some of them bought this brand.

Amana Gas Range AGR5630BDS - We purchased this range from Home Depot and took delivery in Dec 2014. In October 2016 the oven began to shut down after about 30 minutes cooking time and an F2 code showed in the display. Weve had the service tech here 3 times. An oven temp sensor was replaced but the problem was not solved. We then replaced the top ECR module and still the problem exists. Now however when the oven shuts down there is a spewing of natural gas and we have to manually shut the oven off and throw open a window. We are stuck with a stove that wont work and is unsafe, and we are out of about $300 over the price of the stove. We cannot sell it and are hard pressed to afford a new stove. We called Amana and they had a so what attitude. I know that we will never buy any Amana/Whirlpool product again.

I inherited an Amana fridge from a deceased aunt. It worked great for a year. The fridge was a couple years old. She had an extended warranty when fridge went warm and would not cool. Repair came and replaced jazz board and didnt look at anything else. It was unplugged for a few days and worked good for a couple weeks and voila, fridge went warm and we lost all the food. Repair came in 2 weeks and replaced a condenser and nothing else. Fridge was unplugged and worked fine. Three weeks later, its warm again. Repair screwed up and canceled my appointment and we lost more food. Repair came a week later, replaced compressor and a copper line, added freon and checked for leaks. It worked for three more weeks and then it went warm again. Repair came back 2 weeks later and could not find anything wrong except it lost its charge. He called Amana and they had him check for dye leaks inside the fridge near the seams. Voila, there is dye. One, am I eating dye from it leaking in the fridge on the food?! Two, what dumdum puts copper tubing in the walls of a fridge so they cannot be reached? Three, why didnt repair guys check all lines and seams in the first place? Fridge was deemed unrepairable. After countless hours putting stuff in coolers, losing food, etc, I have to buy a new fridge. The warranty company was very helpful though and covered the food loss and repairs, but we are waiting for a call to see if they will help with a new fridge. If you buy Amana, buy the warranty. By the way, if you unplug the fridge overnight, it will work fine for almost a month!
