Purchased a Bosch 500 dishwasher from Lowes in June 2020, after a few weeks
Purchased a Bosch 500 dishwasher from Lowes in June 2020, after a few weeks something in the door broke and door when opened made a pop sound and the door fell completely to the floor! Instead of returning it to Lowes I pursued calling Bosch warranty services for in home repair. They came and replaced a rope inside the dishwasher that lowered the door. A few weeks later it broke again! Repairman came out, ordered another rope and said he would be back when part came in. Weeks later they returned and repaired it again. A couple weeks later it broke again! Repairman came and said company said to replace the rope with a roller? A couple weeks later, you guessed it, it broke again! I called Bosch and told them I wanted them to replace the dishwasher that it was ridiculously unusable! I had to wait for them to approve replacement of the dishwasher which was a few more weeks, in fact I had to call them numerous times, each time waiting an hour or more on line, then was asked to email proof of purchase which I did. Two weeks later still no response, I called again waiting over an hour on line, to be told they didnt see my email, so I made them stay on line while I resent it to them, I said I wanted to speak to management and they said no one was in the building, then I was told I would be transferred to management on the phone. After about an hour on the phone, they found my email and said I needed to wait on management to approve replacement, I said, I thought you were management, she said yes but it has to be reviewed! To try to shorten this complaint it was back I believe in October when I first called to replace this unit, it is now Jan 21 and I am still waiting. I called them today 1/9/21 and was told there was nothing on my account to update me with.

Horrible situation with Bosch. My oven has been broken now for 8 months. My Bosch oven is 2 yrs old. I’ve paid almost $600 in failed repairs through a Bosch recommended repair company. Bosch offered me a new oven at a $250 cost to me. I think I’ve paid enough. I wrote to the company’s president.. no response. So disappointing.

Purchased a Bosch SHE68TL5UC two years ago. Never been happier with a dishwasher. Replaced a Maytag that just didnt hold up. Installation was easy. The entire unit is enclosed in a foam/plastic covering that prevents any leaks from any fittings or connections from damaging your floors. EXTREMELY quiet operation. Has a third rack at the top. Great for utensils and coffee mug lids. It has enough cycle options to cover small gatherings and large parties.

Bosch Axxis Plus washer and dryer - Bought the pair new back in 2002. Worked flawlessly for 6 years. Then drum wouldnt turn on washer. Repair guy said motor brushes worn out, need to replace motor for $300. Searched online, found AppliancePartsPros and bought a set of brushes for $40. Once again, working perfectly.Brushes wore out again in September. Replaced them, and washer worked until this past week. Relay bad on control board. I was kind of upset, seeing as I just replaced the brushes less than a month earlier. But weve used this washer practically every day for 12 years. I just wish you could replace the relay and not have to purchase a new board. Cheapest one I found was ~$500. Hmmm..... I can replace it and Im sure the washer will work fine once again. Or, I can spend $1,000 and buy a new washer.Brought home the new Bosch washer yesterday. Love it. I will keep looking for a new control module for the old washer. Then I can replace it and have a washer in the garage for all my shop stuff. Couldnt be happier with my Bosch washer and dryer.

Food does not get off my utensils especially my knives. It looks as though they are rusty when it is food. A no handle dishwasher with buttons on the bottom of the handle does not light up. In a semi-dark kitchen, you cannot see the buttons to select and start the dishwasher. Poor design. I used to have an Asko and I think that it was bigger and brighter. No light inside and no lights outside. Other than that I dont feel one way or another about the appearance. It is really quiet. That is the reason I bought it over others. It does have its drawbacks.

My Bosch Front load Axxis was delivered with a broken drum, there was no evidence of shipping damage. Upon starting the first load water leaked onto the floor and damaged a new floor. The drum was replaced by a Bosch authorized repairman. After attempting to start for the second time, the front panel showed an error code that indicated a faulty control panel. At this point I had the machine for 1.5 months and have never done even one load. I asked Bosch for a replacement and I have a case file, but the service center keeps losing information or telling me that I need to provide more info. All I did was try to buy what I thought would be a good washer. All I have gotten for $900 is a hassle, more cleaning bills, a damaged floor and a worthless piece of junk. DO NOT BUY BOSCH.

We have been pleased with the operation of our 8 year old dishwasher. We ran into some minor difficulties and contacted Bosch. The bottom line is that I cannot recall in many years being so impressed with the customer service that we received from Bosch. Most large companies today have no idea of what customer service means. Bosch sets the pace in this department. I would not hesitate to acquire any Bosch products - now knowing that they stand behind their products and truly care about their client base.

Plastic control panel on Nexxt 500 dryer broke 1st year (2008). Replaced by Bosch. Repairman says it happens all the time. We moved 5 miles. Plastic doors on washer and dryer started cracking. Bosch claimed since we moved they no longer were under warranty. Two inch pieces are continually falling out on/off doors. Washer has never cleaned very good. When enough pieces fall off and seals on doors no longer hold, we will go back to Whirlpool if they are still around. Their products always lasted 10 years plus. Dont know how Bosch got the reviews that convinced us to spend that much money.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in August of 2012. Model number SHX33RF5UC/64. It has the hidden integrated control panel. It worked well until a few days ago when it stopped draining. I called a local appliance repair company, which has fixed our appliances for 19 years. The repair person who came looked at the dishwasher and then decided they that they werent familiar enough Bosch dishwashers to work on it. I called Bosch, they agreed to pay for a diagnostic visit from one of their approved providers. The repair person took off the front of the dishwasher and drained it. They told me that they could not diagnose it without taking it back to their store. They werent sure if it was the pump, the control panel, or both. I asked how much it might cost and they advised me that it probably would be around 300.00. I asked if he thought I should buy a new dishwasher, because the repairs were so expensive and they only warranted the repairs for 90 days. He recommended buying a new dishwasher. So now I have a dishwasher that fills up, washes but doesnt drain. I hate to get rid of it, but if I get it repaired and breaks then Ill still need a new dishwasher. Shortly, after purchasing the dishwasher I bought the same one for my dad, because initially it worked well. Its really disappointing because I grew up with a KitchenAid dishwasher that worked for 23 years. In my experience todays KitchenAid products arent any better than any other major brands.

I have a Bosch Evolution Gas Range that we have had for about 4 years. I have been quite happy with the range for the most part, except for the ongoing problem with the oven door not closing. I have done some research and it appears to be a very common problem that has been going on for years! I am extremely unhappy that such a well known company with such a good reputation would risk losing satisfied customers by ignoring this issue! Dont you understand that poor customer service can destroy that wonderful reputation? How can I, in good conscience, recommend a company that will not take responsibility for a chronic and common problem with their product? The answer is, I cant! Im very disappointed. Dont think another Bosch will be in my future if something doesnt change. All these customers with door issues should not be ignored. Do a recall and fix the problem! I rate customer service a 0.

I purchased an Bosch 800 series dishwasher late 2018. This is my second Bosch dishwasher, I loved my first one. It was super quiet and cleaned beautifully. I cant say the same for this one. Last week it stopped working giving me an error message. I tried to troubleshoot myself. It makes a loud grinding noise, sounds like the drain pump. I called the 800 number, the call center tried troubleshoot to no avail. Scheduled service, the dishwasher is still under warranty.I requested the the latest appt in the day, to accommodate my work schedule and long story short the service department is very unaccommodating for customers that cant sit at home all day waiting to a tech. I was told they would send a list of other service vendors to who do Bosch warranty work in my community (Orlando, FL). After 2 requests for the list, still not received. My dishwasher is still not functional almost a week later. Extremely disappointed in the product and the lack of service for what is supposed to be a superior product.

I purchased a Bosch refrigerator in May 2010. I was happy about the design and sizing. The refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser stopped working right way. I called 1-800-944-2904. Customer service was nice and sent me a technician, who said that the refrigerator had a computer failure. He did order the parts and the parts came the next day. The technician came after two days and said that the parts are wrong and ordered one more time. The parts arrived and the technician changed them; nothing was working. He ordered the left door. The door arrived, the technician came and installed the door and still, nothing worked. After several calls and a lot of aggravation, Bosch sent me another door (dont know why). Finally, I have had to send them proof of my purchase and several calls to management before they changed my refrigerator. I was so happy! The refrigerator worked for almost 3 years. Now, it has stopped cooling in the freezer compartment. I called Bosch services again on April 08, 2013. They promised me a technician who can only come on April 13th! I had to ask my neighbor to store my food temporarily in their refrigerator. Today, April 09, 2013, the refrigerator stopped cooling completely! I dont understand one thing - why Bosch refrigerators work for only 3 years? How do I make them responsible for it? They are charging $99 only because the technician will show up at your door. After that, they charge $12 every six minutes! I shouldve done better research first. Now I did, and I dont understand why I dont see any recalls on cooling system failure. It looks like it is the biggest problem in Bosch refrigerators. Im so upset at this point. I work so hard and wasnt prepared to buy a refrigerator every 3 years. Please advise me. I dont know what to do. The repair will probably be cheaper, but how I can trust them?

2015 Bosch 800 Series Refrigerator B22CT80SNS. We purchased the Bosch 800 Series 36 counter depth refrigerator in August of 2015. The ice maker failed after 18 months and we paid to replace it. On or about April 21, 2019 the gas lines went (while we were away on vacation). They are located in the walls of the unit and warranted for an impressive two years. We have had a repairman out who told us that they, in fact, cannot be repaired. Therefore, our less than four year old $3145.98 refrigerator needs to be thrown out! We contact Bosch service who is willing to replace the unit for $900 plus tax after an extensive debate. They have generously agreed to have the new unit delivered and left in our driveway. There will be no install or haul away. We must do this ourselves. Therefore we are expected to carry the old unit down 15 stairs, the new unit up 15 stairs, or pay someone to do this. There will be no compensation for the $400 of meat and groceries that we lost while away on vacation. We are being prorated on a 10 year life expectancy for an expensive, high end, appliance at the retail rate. My research shows that 14 years is average lifespan of a refrigerator. I fondly remember my 30 year old Hotpoint refrigerator growing up. I dont think anyone would have treated a consumer this way years ago. I hope that after this is submitted, we are offered a fair replacement deal. I would love to be able to write that we had a positive outcome after all. It doesnt look promising.

We bought our Bosch dishwasher in 2012 because we heard they were the best from the salesman (I think it was because he got a spiff for selling that brand that month). I am sorry to say that the dishwasher is leaking due to a defective valve. Bosch customer service claimed our dishwasher is “old”. They also state that their dishwasher life expectancy is only 10 years now. Hmm. My last KitchenAid dishwasher turned 15 years old when we sold the house and the owner said it went out finally after 20 years. My GE at our other house is still going strong after 14 years. Bosch is not what it use to be and their customer service manager is rude. When a company has it in the back of their head that their appliances are pretty much done at 10 years that says something about their philosophy behind building them. Just saying.

3-4 years ago my husband and I bought a Bosch dishwasher. My husband knew he was dying and he didnt want me dealing with new appliances after he died. He insisted Bosch had the best ratings. We bought this at Lowes in Saint Joseph, Mo. It was not a cheap model. I see ads about their dishwashers being the best and I say what a joke. This never worked good like I expected. I have had one man work on it and he said they make these to work thru balance of the bottom with the water. It didnt work better after he tried to fix it. This am the dishes were dirty, soap container didnt even open. I use very hot water and the steam probably helps a little but never really clean. No I never called the company. I was dealing with a dying husband. I knew they would simply say out of warranty after my husband died 9 months ago. I dont know what I will buy next but do know what it wont be... Bosch.

The seller I purchased this from initiated a customer service call and they did send out a repair person to look at the oven. He took pictures and said the cavity is unrepairable. After calling them again to get a final response they said the oven works fine and it is only cosmetic. I agree, but this is not minor cosmetic. Have owned many Bosch appliance in the past - all good. This one is the worst ever and I will not buy Bosch again. Bosch hotline told us to run the defrost cycle. Hmm... how do you do that on an auto defrost fridge? So 4 weeks later the whole thing is broken. The refrigerator no longer cools properly and the entire defrost system needs to be replaced. Of course no parts available - so here we are in the summer in the heat of South Carolina. We had a Kitchenaid that did not clean the dishes as well as the Bosch (I found this out when I got the Bosch). The Bosch has a better rating for reliability. The KitchenAid I replaced was top of the line and it died at 8yrs old. My wife says the Bosch holds more dishes and is easier to load. One tip, whom ever installs it should read the directions carefully (some plumbers are over confident they know how to install these. End up not getting the drain hose placed properly and the power cord) as these two exit the back of the dishwasher and when pushed into the cabinet they could have a chance to get crushes or tangled up or under the machine. The hose and cord need to pulled to take up the slack as the machine is pushed back in place. The drain hose needs to be 20 higher than where it exits the machine before going to the sink drain. Some folks complain of a foul smell from these machines and I feel the plumbers did not install them right. My sister in law has a Bosch and the cabinet inside stinks awful, mine has No Smell after a month of use. Thats why I feel the install by the plumber is faulty. I always bought KitchenAid but felt the quality has gone downhill and am very pleased with this Bosch... Cleans super well.

Bosch Free Range Stove Model #HGS3052UC - My mom, 75 years old, called yesterday upset that her stove will not turn off. She called Boschs customer service to advise them that her stove will not turn off and that she needs someone to come take care of it. She was quoted approximately $129 for the first 18 minutes and $12 for every 6 minutes after that and told her the first available date was over a week later. So, in other words, they told her it will be ok for her oven to be on 24/7 for over a week until someone gets there. It gets better!! My husband went over to look at it and realized that the screen that displays the clock and functions was hanging off behind the glass. That happened in mid-February and it still has not shown (its now August 2021). We have tried to reach out and see what is going on; youre on hold for at least 30 minutes, then you speak with someone who has no idea how to track down the issue. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in February of 2012. There was a horrible odor from the dishwasher. I called their customer service and was told service repair will be done under warranty. The first appliance company came out and replaced a sensor. I was hoping that would elevate the problem. But no, the odor still emanated from the dishwasher - so foul my daughter refused to empty it. So I called again; this time using a different service company. They came out and said there was nothing wrong, and to use the Quantum detergent (which I was already doing, but Bosh customer service told me to use the powder). So needless to say, they left and did nothing. I called Bosh yet again and they told me to have it serviced. I called the same company (that was just there and said nothing was wrong) to come out yet again. This time they found the heat sensor was bad. So they came out to replace it, only to tell me they could not get this dishwasher out. I would have to call the installer. I called the installer to come out. They had no problem getting it out and charging me $170.00 to do so. My concern is that this heating element is not the real issue and I will have to have it reinstalled, pay more money and still have the horrific odor coming from the dishwasher. When I called Bosh and explained my plight, and all the time I missed from work, they said, You need to have at least 3 services done on it before we do anything. I truly dont think the heating element is going to solve the issue. Two separate components went bad and the dishwasher isnt even a year old. Isnt there some lemon law? I am frustrated beyond frustrated! Has anyone else had these issues with Bosch? If so, class action could be applied.

I moved into a brand new building with a Bosch Axxis washer and dryer that had never been used. I am the apartments first occupant. I have always had some issue with these appliances, but what I have dealt with in the past week has taken the cake. My first issues were similar to most peoples on this site: the washer does not fully dry out after use and is left with a mildew smell which then gets on the clothes and the dryer does not fully dry unless run for hours and, again, leaves the clothes with a mildew smell and leaves you with an expensive electric bill. This was hardly energy saving. My most intense grievance is with the cheap latch design on the washer and the customer service I received in response to this issue. I closed the washer after loading it up with clothes and the latch on the washer (not the door) fell into the machine making it not possible to close the washer and therefore not possible to run it. I called my maintenance man in my building who directed me to the Bosch customer service line. We relayed what happened and said we needed a new latch or something needed to be fixed on the latch. Someone came to fix the issue the next day. By fixing the issue, I mean the man just pulled the latch out and put it where it was, leaving it to be able to fall back into the machine, which is what it did immediately when we tried to use it. When we called the service man who came from Bosch, he said no one told him he needed to put a new latch so he basically did not do anything. We called to make a new appointment and they said they could come 1 month later. That is just unacceptable. They finally said a third party person could come in 4 days. I am waiting to see if this third party person will actually fix the latch. This all occurred 4 months after moving in. So 4 months of use on the washer. Thats all. The funniest part is that the service man even admitted he did nothing to fix the issue. These products are cheap and the service is awful. Do not buy from this company.

2014 current line model. I had the dishwasher for about 25 days, pulled out the lower rack and two wheels flew off (I guess rack was out of alignment). There are 4 wheels on each side. But it CRASHED as the rack hit the door - and the DW barely had any dishes in it. The damage to the tin foil they call Stainless interior was scary. When I called Support, they said they never heard of it damaging the door and there was no recall. BUT they didnt want pictures. A second call got a rep who said they are working on the flying wheels issue. The Internet shows its been a BOSCH issue since 2009. Sure they would agree to fix it, but who wants to have a repaired $1000 DW that can so easily get damaged? It was the lack of Bosch concern that upset me the most. I just ordered a Kitchen Aid.

We have had 2 warranty claims and repeated problems with the cleaning performance of the machine. For the past year, we have complained and Bosch blames that the poor cleaning is due to the removal of phosphates from detergents. We get a white film on glass and silverware, food left on dishes, and dishes remained greasy. We have tried all of Boschs suggestions but to no avail. We have had the machine for 3 years. Now, we are washing dishes by hand.

Have had my Bosch front loader clothes washer for over 5 years. Bought it because I wanted to do my part to minimize my foot print in water usage. Yep. A pain the whole time. My saving grace on major repairs is that I bought an extended warranty thru Lowes, although theyve had trouble getting the right part from Bosch. (Certified Bosch repair is expensive and not readily available even in Houston.) Dryer has not been QUITE the pain of the washer. It does dry close really well. Just breaks down once a year and tangles your clothes.Longest wash cycle I have EVER seen... 45-60 minutes. The spin cycle works well enough, but your clothes get all tangled together, so they are more wrinkled. (So the efficiency of the dryer didnt speed up laundry duties. Dryer sits empty while I wait on the washer to finish... the opposite of washers and dryers of the past.) Right off the bat, the washer began to smell and the clothes, too. (Everyone must know this by now. Four years later, Tide comes out with a washing machine cleaner. Now the machine to clean my clothes needs a cleaner!!) Called for warranty work. Of course, they said it was MY fault. Too much detergent. NO. Wrong detergent. NO. Too large a load. NO. Too much fabric softener. NO. Well, then they say, leave it open between washes and run an empty wash with Clorox every few days. Excuse me? THIS is saving water??? Have to use a bleaching scrub and bristled brush to clean the rubber gasket around the door from the mold and mildew every couple of months, and run an empty wash to clean it before washing clothes again. (What do you think it looks like INSIDE where I cant see or reach???) So, we NEVER leave a washed load in for more than an hour, because it will need washing again.) Also run a bleach wash at least once a week (another delay), as a preventative measure, and supplement with small amount of baking soda. AND the clothes often dont smell clean. EVERY spot needs pre-treating. Towels are particularly tough to get smelling clean, and often the hand towels dont come clean in the most used areas.About every fifth wash load, the finished load is soaking wet. Since I cant tell when it malfunctioned, and if it did so with detergent in it (low sudsing detergent), I have to wash the load again. Another hour-long delay. P.S. Front loaders need to be raised, set up on a platform. Extra expense in purchase (and delivery and tax). You STILL have to lean down to drag the wet clothes out, and it locks you out (as it would have to) so you can never add a last minute item of clothing or extra cleaning product. Now, my start button is beginning to be difficult to press to start the process. AHHH! Well, I am off to read other blogs on other washers. Hubbie says GET ANOTHER WASHER! We have struggled long enough. And the Lowes warranty is expired. I will dismantle this one so that no one can ever get stuck with it.

Was remodeling my kitchen and wanted to date my appliances. Did research and came up with Bosch as a number one brand. It is not. You know the commercial, if you have to rinse the dishes what does a dishwasher do? Well, that’s this dishwasher. It takes just over 2 hours to do a normal cycle and still I’m rewashing by hand. I thought it maybe the detergent I use so switched, nope. I wish I stayed with my OLD Maytag! I gave it 2 stars because it is very quiet. I wish I could change it, but not willing to be out $900 bucks.

Recall letter stated that I could arrange for service online. Not so. Was provided with a number to call to set up appointment. Waited on hold and then was transferred to a voicemail that couldnt take messages. Finally got someone on the phone at Bosch and was told it takes 2 weeks to get an appointment. (Hello - fire hazard in my house, not fun!!!) Then I was told that I was lucky (lucky???) that they were fixing it for free. LOL. Really? After weeks of trying to get this resolved and hours of waiting on hold and for a repairman I just keep getting the runaround and am living with a product that I was told by Bosch and the repairman that has a safety problem. Unbelievably quiet for a dishwasher. I didnt believe it was on or had run the first two times I used it. It also does the dishes sparkling clear WITHOUT the Finish product. Just the normal dishwashing detergent. Rave all the time about it as I unload it. Dont know how many features are necessary to wash dishes. A rinse if I have new stuff, I just want to sterilize and the regular good wash. The short wash tended to leave the dishwasher smelling of food after even though the dishes were clean. This does not happen on the regular wash so I think it has to do with running long enough to get the food completely down the drain. This is the only drawback: it is not as big as previous dishwashers I have had and the bottom rack is not conducive to glasses and bowls mainly just plates. We use a lot of mugs and glasses and bowls, so I need the majority of the dishwasher to conform to placing these dishes safely in line. Sleek and beautiful. No buttons or lights showing anywhere except a reflection of the light onto the floor when its running, which lets me know it has begun. If Bosch would create a rack that could conform to different dish size and shape, this would be the PERFECT dishwasher of all time. It is amazing in terms of the lack of sound and the sparkling dishes.

Have had the refrigerator two months and am happy with it. It's so quiet I almost don't notice when it's running even when I'm in the kitchen. The lighting is good on the interior, adequate in the freezer although the bottom drawer is a little dim. Love the layout of the upper space and flexibility with retractable shelves. Items are easy to see and accessible. The depth of door shelves are great with the exception of the two bottom shelves which are so narrow that they will only accommodate small items, (like hot sauce). As other reviewers have noted, the ice maker is painfully slow so plan ahead. I find the ice maker has a very high pitched hum that is annoying so I make ice then turn the ice maker off until needing ice again which works for us. Love the controls, very easy to use and read and the refrigerator responds quickly to a change in temperature. I'm really picky, did my research before buying, and am really happy with this refrigerator.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in Augus
I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in August 2009 from Freidmans Appliance in Pleasant Hill, CA. I had my last dishwasher, a Whirlpool for over 20 years without a single problem. Freidmans told me they were out of stock of the model that I originally ordered and substituted in the SHE45M05UC. I ordered the model just below this one. I noticed after I began using it that the rack continually got stuck even when I pushed it in very carefully. This caused many of my dishes to break when they clashed against each other as the rack jammed. I have a stack of cracked and chipped dishes, and have suffered a lot of damages. Freidmans did nothing to help me when I reported it to them. I didnt live in my house or use the dishwasher in 2010, I am the only one who uses it and I only run it about once a week or so. I also reported the problem to Purcell Murrays showroom in Brisbane and talked directly to one of the owners about it and he failed to replace the dishwasher. About a month ago towards the end of June, all of a sudden a huge amount of suds came poring out of the dishwasher as it was running. When I opened the dishwasher it was full of suds and full of water at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Freidmans and spoke to Shannon who told me she would call Bosch service center to see what could be done and she would call me the following day. She never called me. I left several messages for her yet she failed to return my calls. I recall back in 2009 when I talked to Steve, the man who sold me the faulty dishwasher - he never would return my calls and he refused to exchange the dishwasher when I reported the fault with the rack that always sticks. I went into Freidmans yesterday to follow up because Shannon had failed to call me as she said she would and had not returned my calls. The salesman Steve had a little smile on his face as I discussed the issue with Shannon. Shannon again said shed call me the next day which was Monday, yet she didnt call the next day. Today I called for Mathew **, the store manager, just as I did back in 2009. Mathew does not ever return calls. I was told by Shannon that Mathew would call me in a few minutes and now one hour later he has not called me. I called a couple of times asking for Mathew and he would not come to the phone. I have used the dishwasher no more than 200 times in the past years and most of the time it is only half full and I run it on light. Now it does not work at all!! You dont want to do business with Freidmans in Pleasant Hill, CA and definitely dont want to purchase Bosch appliances. I know there is a class action lawsuit against Bosch for their washer dryers and I bet there are enough consumers with dishwasher problems to support a suit for the dishwasher defects. Bosch does not support or stand behind their products and Freidmans doesnt either. In fact I have never experienced such inconsideration for customers as I have at Freidmans. They are just about making a fast buck and could care less if their customer is ripped off. What do you say?

Nice but not that nice. My salesman very highly suggested this dishwasher so I bought it for $900. The good? Its very good looking. The bad? I do not find it any better than a $500 dishwasher from GE. Its quiet but not silent. It seems to clean dishes fine but it will not dry them no matter what you try. I live in a very very dry part of the country and no matter how much or how little I load this machine up with... and select Extra Dry when I open the dishwasher in the morning after running at night... not only are the dishes and cups still wet but so is the inside of the dishwasher. So, whats the point of having controls to select dryness? Oh, the (3) not 4 legs are plastic and all 3 of them broke off when I tried to slide the dishwasher. Great huh? Funny, I know steel legs may cost another $5 but I dont remember arguing with the salesperson about $5. so why not raise the price by $5. and get rid of the cheap cheap cheap plastic legs. Right out of the box, our brand new Bosch tankless water heater (2700 NG model) did not work. Our plumber called their customer service. He told us that we would have to order a new one (it would take four days to deliver) and that we would have to pay the plumber to reinstall the new one as well as pay for shipping on the new unit. Who has that type of customer service? It was brand new and just out of the box and it is defective. The hardware store where we purchased it told us it was an issue that we had to take up with Bosch. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place! After hours on the phone with both Bosch and the hardware store, Bosch agreed to send us a new tankless heater and the hardware store agreed to pick up the overnight shipping cost. We are still out the cost of having the new tank installed. I would never purchase anything that bears the Bosch name on it. And yes, I did my research about tankless water heaters. We had ordered three appliances from Bosch all of which were the black stainless 800 series (the gas range, refrigerator & dishwasher). Both the refrigerator and the range came had a problem. The refrigerator has such a heavy lean on our level floors that even the adjustable legs couldn’t extend down 2” to make it level. We had called Bosch and as requested had a third party arranged by Bosch to inspect, which concluded that it needed to be replaced. We then waited 2 months for customer service to produce a code for reordering, during this time we did not have a fridge. We spoke to numerous customer service reps. At which point had an urgent request of the manager(who was the one responsible to place the reorder code on the product) but the manager could not return this request until 2 months later. The customer service reps. Would tell you one thing then another completely opposite until I had recorded it so that the rep could listen to what was said. Once the new item arrived, upon delivery they noticed that the doors were all finished in different finishes. The bottom freezer door was a different finish then the upper doors and the handles were different from the upper and lower doors.(Quality inspection?) So naturally they needed to replace all the doors off of the unit. These two refrigerator somehow passed quality inspection?!? And it was not just that item, our range had arrived with a bronze coloured vent piece that completely didn’t match their black stainless steel and the rep. Had agreed that they don’t know why it was like that...When I told them of this and they asked for the item info on the inside of the unit (with the rep on the phone) I opened the oven door to find a large 8” piece of bent metal with insulation exposed in the interior of our “quality inspected” range! The third party had to write an inspection report on this too even though it was clear as day that this was a safety issue/ and that this item clearly was not inspected. This item as well took 2 months for replacement., it too fell on the shoulders of customer service manager who could not produce a reorder code until 2 months later. And we did not have our range or refrigerator at this time seeing as their customer service team reassured me on 4 separate times that it would be 5-7 days for processing.I would never wish upon anyone to have to go through what we did with Bosch. Months and months of phone calls, and no appliances for months, and how we have been treated. We thought we were buying quality products with a company that could offer customer service. This was not the case. Please do yourself a favour and buy from a company that you can trust. BOSCH is not that company. And No Bosch has not figured out why they have a bronze vent piece on their black stainless steel range and the replacement range arrived with the same bronze vent piece. But at least the insulation was not visible this time. Buy quality inspected appliance from anyone but Bosch!

Bosch is known for being quiet. That is very important in homes with open floor plans. I have a large center island where the back of the dishwasher is facing a living space. Because it is only about 58 db, it is practically impossible to hear it running. Furthermore, the end of cycle chime is necessary to know when to empty it. The soil sensor seems to work quite well as it will only run as long as there are soiled dishes. The water temperature gets quite hot, so I know unwanted bacteria is eliminated. Dishes always come out squeaky clean. I love the half load cycle and use it frequently. The energy and water usage is very low. I think that most people who own dishwashers think that the whole unit fills with water each time they run a cycle, and so they are reluctant to run the dishwasher. Many folks, unknowingly, use MORE water by doing dishes by hand than they would have done if they had put them on the proper cycle in the dishwasher. If the owner would read the specifications of actual water usage, they would be surprised how little water a full load uses in comparison to rinsing dishes before placing them in. I also like the fact that I can put delicate items, such as crystal and fine china, and know that nothing is going to come out damaged or cracked. The size of most regular household units will fit into a standard 24 wide lower cabinet. I also think the capacity and overall arrangement of the racks gives quite a bit of flexibility, as no two loads contain the same collection of dishes to be washed to be washed at the same time. This particular unit has a very low-profile handle and doesnt interfere with todays contemporary, clean lines in the kitchen. The handle is sturdy and feels secure. My unit is a nice grade of stainless steel, not a thin gauge that would tend to dent easily. The interior is also a food-grade stainless steel that doesnt collect unwanted odors or corrosion from the soap. If you opt for Bosch, you dont have to get a really expensive, high-end model since they are all extremely quiet and easy to use. Bosch also, in my opinion, exudes an element of high quality, even if its a low-end model. Generally, the higher end machines have options and features that most owners rarely use. I believe that Bosch is a good choice for a discriminating buyer who doesnt necessarily have a huge budget, but wants a beautiful, efficient machine that will last a long time. It is a work-horse that will bring compliments from friends and family for years to come as they have a 25 year warranty on their products.

We purchased a Bosch washer and dryer a couple of years ago and a door seal went bad on the dryer. Clearly this shouldnt have gone bad after two years, especially after paying top dollar for what was sold as a premium unit. The part was only $10, but Bosch said a service tech had to install it, costing $75-$100. The part was a simple slide, in part, a 10-year-old kid could install, less complicated than lacing a shoe, but Bosch decided not to use common sense in this case and said thats all they could do. Like the old saying, penny wise, pound foolish.” Probably the worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Never buy Bosch; they don’t stand by their products.

After examining the reviews on this site, coupled with my own experience, I suspect today’s Bosch products are not the quality they once were. We were satisfied with two prior Bosch dishwashers, however, two years ago we purchased an expensive new Bosch dishwasher to replace an aging one. After being gone for several weeks, we returned to find our dishwasher inoperable. Calling customer service was a frustrating experience as they could not send a certified repairman for almost a month...that’s a lot of dirty dishes. They then referred us to a local repairman who could visit a week later...perhaps they have too many repairs to perform? Today I was informed that I face a $400 repair on an expensive two-year-old machine… Inexcusable. I would not recommend a Bosch dishwasher in the future.

HMB5050 Bosch microwave - I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago. Researched the big Bosch appliances and most received good reviews. The least expensive item, the microwave, I did not research. Big Mistake!!! Read the reviews, all have the same issue. Total failure between 2-3 years. Inverter board/magnetron. Repair cost $600!! So many reviews with the same issue, Bosch should have recalled this item. Instead just discontinued it. No help from customer service, although they did have me go through the trouble of sending them a bunch of stuff. In the end they offered me $25 towards a new inverter board. Im considering a small claims court option. I have enough info about the item to at least warrant a try. All my other Bosch appliances: warming drawer, double wall ovens, dishwasher, 5-burner gas cooktop, have held up well. I cook a lot! Just such a disappointing experience with the darn microwave! I wish they would help me out with a credit towards a new one! They know this thing has serious issues! Ill keep you posted!

We purchased the dishwasher last July. It will not get the dishes clean unless they are basically clean before you put them in. And it will not get them dry -- ever. Within a month, we could not get it to start because the door would not close. The tech said it needed to be leveled. Two months later, the door wont close. Tech has to order a bracket for the door. Two months later, same problems -- tech removes some of the parts of the top rack. Two months later, same problems. I have asked for a replacement and no one got back to me. Today, same problem. I think they are just trying to put me off until the warranty runs out.

Our Bosch gas stove is possibly the best kitchen appliance we have ever bought. Absolutely love the device that fits in the door when grilling, to ensure the heat can be better regulated. Our built in microwave 800 series starting having trouble about a year after purchase. The display went dim. We were told it was no longer in warranty so just lived with it. Subsequently the door broke, the fuse blew and the circuit board overloaded and failed/burned out (all out of warranty). The service person came ($200) to tell us the door being crooked from when we bought it caused all these problems because the left and right side triggers were engaging out of sync when opening and closing. The cost to repair the unit would be more than the value of the microwave at original purchase. As for a prorate on a replacement model. Its taken them 6 weeks and counting just to process that request while I continue to get voicemails that a repair person is coming back to fix it (a solution Ive repeatedly rejected as paying over $1000 to repair a microwave is nonsense). Two months of calls to Bosch support several times a week and still waiting to get this resolved. The prorate amount they have offered is a very small discount considering they sold us a lemon in the first place. Very disappointed with bosch at every step and would not recommend the product nor customer service.

I am a plumber in Sydney. I always recommended Bosch or Smeg dishwashers to customers when doing kitchen renovations I used to have a Smeg dishwasher which was very user friendly then I changed to Bosch which is my biggest downfall in appliance selection & recommendations, since having it I have found: #1. It not washes soap off properly & we were told not to use the finish tablets. #2. Racking system bottom rack loses wheels all the time & top & bottom racks folds & doesnt hold dishes properly. #3. Faults with drainage system always happening & I always need to reset system holding start button down 10 sec #4. Now it has a fault E15 flashing & drain continues to drain - I even payed for extended warranty which doesnt cover much not happy. I thought Bosch had a much much much better quality dishwasher than this.

If negative stars were possible they have sincerely earned it. We spent nearly 11,000 dollars in appliances and the combination wall oven microwave has never worked correctly. Bosch has tried and failed to fix the appliance three times. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Bosch, most of it on hold, trying to rectify this situation. I have asked for assistance to get the appliances replaced to no avail. On 1/3/18 they came and fixed the appliance for the third time. This fix was to replace the touch panel because the second trip to the house the technician replaced it with the wrong touch panel. When that technician was questioned about it he said, “That’s the right one for your oven” instead of holding the two next to each other to determine that it was in fact the wrong one. Then a different technician came to replace that touch panel with the correct one. That one, on the first use came up with fault codes saying that the electrical was too hot. Ten minutes later another code came on that says communication error now the oven won’t come on at all. I called to request that the appliances be taken out of my house and explained to them my concerns of faulty wiring. I also told them of my concerns of fire hazard and having my newly built home burned down. The representative told me that it needed to go to management and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I was not contacted and after 72 hours I called them back to find out the first representative didn’t even send my file to management. I explained the situation and was told that it would have to go to management. I then asked to be transferred to management because I had no faith that I would be contacted. I was finally transferred to an “escalation manager” who was unable to help me and she transferred me to the “escalation supervisor” named Shawn. Shawn then explained to me that they would never refund my money for the appliances and that I was stuck them, but they might be able to replace the oven. I had already been told by two representatives that refunding the appliances was a possibility only to be told by this extremely unprofessional representative named Shawn that was not an option. He then told me it would have to go to management and I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I cannot stress enough my displeasure with everything about Bosch most of all by their customer service. They are absolutely one hundred percent unprofessional hacks that will never get my business again. I will never buy anything with a Bosch affiliation again. Horrible company, horrible employees, and horrible products. Save yourself from this overpriced trash.

We called Bosch when our 2 1/2 year old dishwasher broke. Their service dept. had a 2 week wait so they recommended authorized service providers with Mr. Appliance at the top of the list. We called Mr. Appliance and told them of the error code displayed and requested service for a broken drain pump. They came, charged us $170 and didnt bring the part. Then they sent a $600 quote to fix the unit. I called Bosch because at this point I could buy a new dishwasher. After some back and forth they offered to pay for the part and Id pay for the labor. Mr. Appliance hadnt broken out the quote, Bosch said the part was $36. Bosch offered to call Mr. Appliance which they did but to no avail. Still a $600 job.Bosch charges a set fee ($129) then another $30 per 15 minutes. They had no information about how long it should take to install the part. They offered me 2 additional authorized repair companies. One was out of business and the other had horrendous reviews. I called an unauthorized company in my neighborhood with excellent reviews and they will do the job for $198 plus the part. Bosch refused to sell me the part or sell it to the unauthorized repair company.First of all, the unit should not break after 2 years of use by empty nesters who barely use the dishwasher. They should make a better quality product and stand by their brand with more than a free part. Secondly, Bosch needs to review their requirements for authorizing repair companies. They should consider pricing and reviews to hold these companies accountable in exchange for giving them so much business. It should not cost more than the price of a new unit to replace a common part. I will not buy another Bosch!

For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. I would NEVER recommend Bosch appliances and I am VERY disappointed I purchased these products. THE WORST.

I have a fully equipped kitchen of brand new Bosch appliances. I started using them in April of 2019. In early November of that year, a small part on the lower freezer drawer broke off. This is the main freezer. I called Bosch service directly to schedule the repair. I was told that they contract their service out and that they only had two service companies in the entire San Diego county area, a HUGE area. Only one of these service companies was willing to come out and take look. The serviceman came out but did not have the part needed. He ordered it from Bosch. I heard nothing for 3 months. When I called Bosch in February 2020, still no part available. Now May, I called again and was told that the part was still not available and was “probably” coming from China and in fact may be discontinued altogether. I was told there was nothing they could do and that they will TRY and call IF it comes in. Wow. Beware! Choose appliances that have better service available and customer care in place.

[01/02, 10:17] Neha: Highly disappointed with Bosch Product not worth other brands seems far better in India. I Bought my Bosch Refrigerator KGN56LB412/05 just 2.5 months ago in Nov 2019 and guess what the refrigerator has stopped working and the service guys are saying the modular needs to be changed. How can I accept this.. Bosch swear by the technology of its machines. What sort of Machine is this which got faulty just in 2.5 months and you people are not even replacing the machine rather just replacing a part. Never ever buy Bosch product. They are non reliable in India. The installation guy took 2 weeks to install that too post escalations. Now the fridge is faulty and for the replacement part also they dont have parts available and need time. Worst service no body picks call. What sort example Bosch is giving. If your product is faulty and and gets highlighted have the courage to call it back and dont keep playing with customer. Bosh team, have given standard answer that team will contact you but what my Refrigerator is not working from past 4 days. Its a brand new 2.5 months old Refrigerator which has collapsed completely and stopped cooling or functioning. Nobody called me. I had to call up customer care constantly just to reach service Managers who have no courtesy to respond to customers calls when there is some fault in their product. After lots of time spending on their customer care I got a call for 5 mins which was not satisfactory at all. The Manager is talking about company protocol and convincing me for repair with such a Major fault. I feel so #cheated# buying this #Bosch#Refrigerator#. The #Bosh Refrigerator# is around 70k and collapsed just in 2.5 month. The machine has stopped cooling completely and its of no use still your guys are refusing to replace it.It has been a total #nightmare# ever since I purchased this #Bosch Refrigerator#. I purchased this machine from Vijay sales Chandanagar branch and initially they sent unpacked used machine with black Marks all over dirty plug which was used from ages. I complained then they accepted and returned and told Bosch has sent this used piece they are not aware. Again they sent a broken wheel screw Refrigerator which and this was the third piece after lot of struggle we received. I took so much pain just to buy this brand #BOSCH# and to add more to my struggle this Refrigerator has collapsed and stopped cooling in just 2.5 months which was never expected from the brand I used to trust so much. Now #Bosch company# is not even replacing their faulty product and giving so many lame excuses. Trying to push faulty Bosch Refrigerator. Please stop cheating customers Bosch India. How do you expect me to settle on repairing when there is a major Machine problem in bosch Refrigerator. It has stopped cooling in just 2.5 months. Please dont push the faulty machine over to a customer rather replace your faulty Bosch Refrigerator responsibly. I am literally harassed buying Bosch product this time. This is not my first product from bosch. I have convinced my family and revamped their machine to bosch. This is what I get to show brand loyalty towards Bosch. Very, very disappointing. I have a 1.5 yrs old kid and I am without Refrigerator even after buying a premium brand on high price without any fault. It a harassing journey ever since I bought this Refrigerator.

I bought a Bosch oven in 2005, it has never worked correctly. I had a repairman out the first year and was told it was within specs. He did nothing more than shoot the interior with an infrared thermometer! This year our Thanksgiving was completely ruined because the oven would not hold a constant temperature. I had a repairman out and was told the thermostat was bad. Also the switch was bad. Total price for both was $60.00 IF you could find them. The company no longer makes them! After trying to contact their customer service department I finally got a response after sending their corporate office a note to send someone physically to customer service to check on them because they were either not there or all dead! I got a call back from a supervisor telling me that indeed the parts were no longer made and I should buy a new oven! So I am to understand that this is an appliance company that does not know how to make thermostats or switches that work. I see from the other reviews that they have made a habit of this. I agree with the others, I will NEVER buy another thing this company produces under any name. This includes Dremel tools. They do not care about their customers.

Advice for anyone looking for appliances: DO NOT BUY FROM BOSCH.. We got a microwave from them because it was supposed to be the best of the best. About 16 months after purchasing, the microwave needed fixing so we did it the way Bosch said we had to do it for the parts to be covered. This happened 3 times in a matter of 3 years. The third time, it was deemed unrepairable. After a month of going back and forth with them, not having a microwave, the best offer they could give me was that I had to pay $300 for a replacement microwave. Mind you, it was a $1200 microwave to begin with. So with the original cost upfront, the service costs and what they now want me to pay for a replacement microwave, I’m looking at roughly $2100 dollars on this microwave. And they claim this to be a “more than fair” offer. The customer service will throw you around from one guarded person to the next. They’ll forward you to their “manager” and when you ask for their name and title after finishing a conversation with them, you’ll find out that it’s not the manager and they’ll REFUSE to give you their last name or an email or anything to contact them. Then, when you’ve had enough and you name all the people you’ve spoken with and that you want to speak to the actual manager, they put you on a lengthy hold that conveniently dies on several occasions. https://www.facebook.com/BoschAppliances/

We purchased three Bosch products in December 2013: a dishwasher, and combo oven/microwave. (HBL 5750). Both the microwave and oven have malfunctioned to the point of being unusable. $200 later, we have a quote for almost $1000 to fix them, no warranty extension. Attempting to get Bosch’s attention and address what we consider a premature failure of their very expensive products has been an exercise in futility. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher and about a year later, a Bosch washer and dryer. After 4 years with the dishwasher, the water no longer was hot. We telephoned the company we purchased it from and they referred us to a repairman. Bosch only certifies certain companies to do their repairs. Unfortunately, this company wasnt really easy to work with. They did eventually come out to the house. After a prolonged conversation with a Bosch representative, it was determined the internal water heater was bad. The part was ordered. It took three months for the part to come in and eventually get replaced. When the part was put in by the same company and the machine turned on, the board indicated it would take 367 minutes to wash an empty load of dishes. The representative left and indicated the machine would have to be reset. Well the next day, I phoned them back. The machine ran the 367 minutes but no hot water. They sent a different repairman and Bosch wasnt willing to accept they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. They did eventually replace the motherboard and the machine is currently working. The washing machine, after 3 years of use and with only 2 people in the family, started rocking and my husband saw sparks on the inside of the wash tub. We were told it could not be repaired. We couldnt dump it fast enough. Dryer still worked but it took over an hour to dry a regular load of clothes. The machine didnt clean well and the dryer often left clothes damp even though the moisture sensor had been checked twice. Bosch is highly overrated and they must pay their vocal advocates a lot of money. We wont even consider a Bosch in the future.

If you are thinking of buying one (MODEL SHP65TL5UC) and do not want to throw lots of money out the window and be dissatisfied, I would advise you to seek a different brand. First of all, the dishes do not dry thoroughly and come out with a weird slightly damp feeling even when using a Rinse Aid and normal cycle plus sanitize feature. I have tried to use this beefed up normal cycle with the sanitize cycle even with very lightly soiled dishes and even when the dishwasher is half full because the economy cycle gave me very damp dishes and actually wet plastic bowls. Even with the sanitize cycle which provides extra heat, the bottoms of coffee cups or bowls need to be dried with a towel. Why put things in the dishwasher if you are still drying them??Secondly, there is an ugly smell when you open the dishwasher. I took out the filter and there is about a cup of water that I was told stays at the bottom of the dishwasher at all times (just got this information from Bosch Customer Service). I run this dishwasher twice a week so this same water is just sitting there in an enclosed container for days on end so no wonder the water smells rank - and I have beautiful sparkling sweet tasting well water. How can Bosch deliver a product with such inferior design flaws? I can see from the reviews that many people are having these same problems so Customer Service cannot pretend they never heard this complaint. I intend to pursue this Bosch because I have owned this product for only two weeks and refuse to be stuck with such a bad dishwasher but poor performance with ridiculous design flaws. I guess Bosch is resting on former laurels because I would rank this as a big 0 if there was that option here.
