Just as some other reviewers stated, my dishwasher door wouldnt close after one week and have been in limbo between Best Buy and Bosch. Bosch and their factory authorized technician said it is Best Buys installers fault and need a second opinion as to whether to fix or refer back to Best Buy and have referred to another technician. Bosch stated that they cannot take responsibility if its an installation related issue. You would think that Bosch would take responsibility for their product and then take up any installation and other problems with the retailer. But you would be mistaken. AVOID BOSCH APPLIANCES.

Freezer has been repaired 3 times. Ice maker has never worked properly. Already out nearly $500 in repairs. Now, rubber sealant around both freezer and refrigerator remain very warm to the touch. Freezer leaking on floor, and the freezer doesnt work at all. Lost all food stored inside. Called Bosch and local Recommended repair service companies, as we have before. No help on the weekend. No call back from Bosch. No effort to help. I WILL NEVER BUY ANY BOSCH PRODUCT. AND WILL WARN EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO. GOING ON OTHER SITES NOW.

We bought our Bosch dishwasher in 2012 because we heard they were the best from the salesman (I think it was because he got a spiff for selling that brand that month). I am sorry to say that the dishwasher is leaking due to a defective valve. Bosch customer service claimed our dishwasher is “old”. They also state that their dishwasher life expectancy is only 10 years now. Hmm. My last KitchenAid dishwasher turned 15 years old when we sold the house and the owner said it went out finally after 20 years. My GE at our other house is still going strong after 14 years. Bosch is not what it use to be and their customer service manager is rude. When a company has it in the back of their head that their appliances are pretty much done at 10 years that says something about their philosophy behind building them. Just saying.

Bosch wont assist with warranty or servicing their broken microwave after only 2 years of use. Customer service never replied and I had to call 4 times only to be told I have to pay for a diagnosis before they would even consider assisting with a part. I had GE appliances for 20+ years without ever having a problem!

Our Bosch dishwasher is only 5 years old. It was working great until the other night. We put it on just before going to bed. When we got up in the morning, there was a terrible burnt electrical smell in the house. The outside of the dishwasher was black around the control panel and the inside was fried. Looks like we had a small electrical fire. The breaker wasnt tripped. It has scared the absolute ** out of me. Has anyone else had this problem? We never overload our dishwasher and clean the filters regularly. Our house could have caught on fire while we slept. Im wondering if anyone else has had something like this happen to them? I would like to report this incident to Bosch, not because I am looking for payment, but to try to prevent this or something much worse happening to anyone else.

Service and installation of the product will take long time (7 to 8 days), nobody will call until we remind them regularly. This happened to me when I bought a fridge from Bosch dealer in Bangalore. The product was delivered to me on time but the installation person came after 8 days, and suddenly my fridge got complete shut down after a week. When I called the service department they told, concern person will call you in 48 hrs but it took 6 days for a person to come after 3 emails to customer care center.

Purchased our Bosch Dishwasher in January 2020 and now, 6 1/2 months later it needs repair. Contacted Bosch Customer service to have an approved company come in for repairs and was given three local contacts. One did not service my area. The other told me it would take 4 weeks for someone to come out and service our dishwasher. I notified customer service of this poor response but was told that they could nothing do about this. They blamed it on Covid. Called my Bosch authorized dealer, who is not a Bosch authorized repair service, but who installed my dishwasher and they were able to put me on the schedule within 24 hours. The drawback: I got to pay and my warranty is no longer in effect. So warning to all: Bosch does not take care of their customers and their attitude towards their customers was borderline rude, extremely dismissive and smug. An all-around horrible experience.

Washes dishes but often leaves residue. Doesnt dry the plastics. Honestly, I use the main wash; pots and pans is too hot most of the time, and the quick wash doesnt really clean them all. I dont like the arrangement of the racks. Bowls dont fit well on either level, I could help Bosch find a much better way so loading is easier. Its comparable to others in the same price range. Ours decided to fall apart after 6 years. The actual computer panel just fell off. We can use it without the panel, but it is really broken. Wont buy another Bosch.

We purchased a Bosch washing machine a few years ago and noticed that mold grows on the inside of the rubber gasket. We later found out that there is a class action suit for this machine. I called Bosch and scheduled an appointment and the man called in sick and did not show up. I took a day off from work for this repair and they let me know 20 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive. I told them that the next time if they do not give me sufficient notice I would send them a bill. I also told them since they were scheduling me for another day, that meant they were agreeing to my terms. The second time I took a day off they called and told me that the man did not have the part with him. I told them that I was sending them a bill and the woman told me that they do not reimburse people.

After 16 months the drain pump has stopped working and shown e24 on the panel. Did our research online, clean the filter, reset... no success. Called customer services and the respond I got, the warranty has expired after a year so you have to pay for the labour $129 cost and parts will be extra. Why should I pay, My last dishwasher lasted for 15 years (still working but not very energy efficient). So I have to wait for 48 hours for management approval. Washing machine less than a year old - Just dont buy Bosch appliances. Their customer service? What customer service! One appliance repair company? Really! They came out the day of the big flood, took the back of the washing machine off, took a picture and left. That was May 13th. Today is the 4th of June, 2012. He was to arrive today having called me last Thursday to set up the appointment and he called me to tell me he just opened the box and has the wrong part. Really! Now, keep in mind that I had called him three times a day for two weeks leaving messages when his mail box wasnt full. Then he finally called me back and told me he didnt get my calls. Really! I give the Bosch Company an F for complete failure!

Our experience with Bosch appliances has been mixed but disappointing. First, the first cooktop delivered during a remodel would not function as soon as installed. This resulted in a multi-week delay in the remodel. Next, the microwave failed within a year of installation and then again within another year. We have paid more than $300 in repairs so far. Finally, with regard to business, we were promised a substantial rebate if we installed 3 or more appliances. We installed 4 but have not yet received the rebate. We have been pestering the dealer repeatedly for about 2 years now with no satisfaction. I will never again purchase a Bosch product.

Bosch Customer Service and Product disappointment! In June of 2017, in anticipation of our upcoming kitchen remodel we purchased a Bosch 800 Series 30” Dual Fuel Slide-in Range. Product HD18054U/C. As is often the case in remodels, there was a delay and the project wasn’t started until January 2018. The range was delivered on Feb. 27, 2018 and installed about ten days later. We experienced minor trouble when the keypad started randomly beeping. This happened within a year (early 2019) but we were told that we should unplug the stove, wait a bit, and plug it in again. This seemed to work for a time. We had several episodes but it was not a big problem to follow the “unplug” advice. The problem became significantly worse in March of this year, 2020, beeping at all hours of the day and night. We knew it would be expensive to repair it but finally called a service provider in May. I was charged a service call and the serviceman said he would order the new control panel, but added that I should contact customer service to ask if Bosch would help with the almost $800 cost that I incurred. After two calls and several replies/scans of documents to customer service, I anticipated a positive response. I was never told to WAIT to have the part replaced until I heard back from customer service. I did hear back on June 22nd. I was told that Bosch would do NOTHING. No compensation was offered. My claim was denied. I feel it is very unfair. It certainly seemed as though the “rules” changed during the game after I did everything I was asked to do, submitted all of the paperwork, etc. I am extremely disappointed in the range and in Bosch Customer Service.

We purchased a Bosch 800 Series HMB8050 Built-in Microwave on 6/2010. On 5/4/2011, their service contractor changed a blown fuse and again on 10/30/2013. We did not have to pay for these service calls or parts. It stopped working again 2 weeks later. On 12/09/2013, they come out and replaced the PC board, switch, and fan. That cost me $99.00 for the service call. Five days later, the glass plate would not stop turning and light would not turn off. Right now we have it unplugged. When we called their customer service department, they said that this is considered a new work order and that I would have to pay for all service charges and parts which could cost us up to $500.00. We paid $1,100 for the appliance and $250 to have our cabinet adjusted to fit the unit in the wall. In 2010, we also bought a Bosch wall oven and dishwasher and have had no problems with these appliances. This has been very frustrating, highly inconvenient, and very expensive. At this point, we are still trying to figure out what to do next. We either will have to pay to get it fixed or buy a new Bosch!

Bosch Energy Star tankless hot water heater refused to start. 45-minute wait for tech help. Every fix they told me to try failed. Average time on the phone each time 1 hr 45 min. I went through the same dog and pony show each time. I was told to purchase a $50.00 part at their authorized parts house. Part out of stock. It took 15 days with express shipping. The part did not cure the problem. By this time we have gone one month without hot water (in the winter in Idaho). They stonewalled us at every turn. I finally talked to a female in sales who told me I didnt know what I was doing. In frustration I ripped out the Bosch and replaced it with a Rinnai tankless. What a nice unit - problem-free.And when you call, there is no wait, and their techs listen and answer each point. Not the negative attitude you get from Bosch. My best friend had similar experience with his Bosch dishwasher. Neither of us will ever purchase anything from BOSCH. As a note, yesterday I went to the auto parts to get an in-tank fuel pump for my Corvette. Needless to say, I didn’t buy the Bosch. I purchased the more expensive Delco. I also let them know why.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BOSCH!! Poor customer service and bad products. I installed all new Bosch products for my remodeled kitchen 3 years ago. I noticed rust stains on my dishwasher about 2 years ago, and they became worse and worse to the point that friends who came over asked me why my dishwasher looked like that. Bosch customer service told me that they can only give me 50% off a new panel (and charge me additional for tax and freight), and I would have to pay $129 for the cost of their installer. I bought an oven, microwave, dishwasher and stove from them, and this is all they could do for me! They said to use a rust stain remover, and implied it was the kind of products I was using that caused the rust! I told them I never saw stainless steel rust, and this was the only appliance that was rusting. If you google other sites, many customers indicate that the materials in their stainless steel was not good. In addition, my cooktop had to be returned because the stainless steel near the burners were turning brown from the flames. Another product defect, and they had to replace my cooktop. Very disappointed in their customer service - the company does not support their products or their customers! BEWARE!

My wonderful Bosch dishwasher recently stopped dispensing the detergent. Since its under warranty, I have followed all the required steps and jumped through the requested hoops, but have discovered that Bosch obviously does not offer service in our area. Over the past week I have spent 2 hours and 47 minutes on the phone (most of it on hold), been disconnected (with no return call from them) 3 times, and have emailed with no response twice. I have a file number now due to the concerns about no service provider in our area, but that seems to be simply a pacifier, since it has proven to provide nothing. Bosch service is THE worst!

My rented townhouse has a Bosch dishwasher and it cleans the poorest of any dishwasher I have ever had. After three months, it simply stopped working. The Bosch washer and dryer are okay--but just okay. The washer is the worst cleaning machine I have had for a front loader and it is also the first washer I have ever had that smells horribly unless one uses a cleaner in it weekly and unless uses almost no laundry detergent and unless one washes with at least warm water usually. Horrible really. The dryer doesnt have enough options and I have to dry delicate things on regular or they dry incredibly slowly, which results in too much wear. In my opinion, Bosch is very overrated.

I have had my Bosch dishwasher for two years now. Last October (after having it for 14 months) I finally figured out what was on my dishes when I removed them from the dishwasher after running them through the cycle. IT WAS MOLD. I called Bosch, I wrote to Bosch - finally they agreed to send someone out to check out my dishwasher for which I would be responsible for paying the service fee. At first I agreed and then phoned them back and said I would not pay it as I felt the dishwasher was still considered new. They did eventually send someone out - a 19 year old boy who walked into the house knowing what my problem was. He said this happens a lot because people dont bother to clean out the food trap at the bottom of the dishwasher and the accumulating food is causing the mold. Hmmm. Well, he took my dishwasher apart and surprise! There was nothing in the trap. I did not bother to tell him that I thoroughly rinse all the dishes/silver before placing it in the dishwasher. He did not know what to say so he just said he would get back in touch with Bosch. He said possible it needed a new control board. Well after going back and forth with Bosch - and tossing out ALL my dishes, silver and glassware due to it being infected with the black mold - I was told to run it through a clean cycle using a solution. I did this and was afraid to use my dishwasher in case it came back... Well, this morning when I unloaded the dishwasher - ITS BACK! Im not even going to try again - I will go out this weekend and buy a different brand. Now my microwave that I bought at the same time - has gotten steam under the glass on the front door for the longest time. Noticed a few months ago that the plastic around the outside of the window is cracked in two places. Will I ever purchase another Bosch appliance? NEVER!

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher after research for top brands. To make a long story short, just after 3 months, we had problems with the bottom rack staying on the track. All the wheels eventually came off one by one, we put them back on but they still kept falling off. So we bought new wheels, still, the rack never glided or stayed on its tracks. We now have to lift the full bottom rack and place it inside the washer. The wand (attachment for water) comes off during the cycle EVERY time no matter if anything scrapes or touches it during the cycles. The third rack (silverware) rarely cleans anything unless they’ve been hand cleaned before going in. Never ever have I spent so much money on an appliance to have it fall apart and dysfunction after 3 months. Customer service was so unwilling to handle the first wheel issues, that attempting a refund was daunting. I’m not sure if Bosch cares if the appliance works at all, or if maybe they just sell “pretty” appliances to people who don’t cook.

For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher. I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting friends for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour. I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into peoples homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

My washer and dryer are 4 years old, and the dishwasher is 2 years old. The housing on all of the appliances is cracked, and those cracks are growing! As a retired couple, it certainly cannot be due to heavy wear and tear on our part. Of course, the warranties are now gone and so is our hard earned money. Bah! To Bosch! A quality product? Received a Bosch dishwasher which was installed by a Richards contractor. The machine worked well for 3 months then suddenly died. We had purchased a long term service contract with Richards and were directed to their service vendor (Danmark). It took approximately 2 weeks for a serviceman to come out. Of course, they had to order 2 parts. It took an additional 2 weeks for the serviceman to return. He installed the parts and the washer was still was inoperative. He instructed us to request a new machine which we did. We were contacted by Danmark and were told Bosch requested that another part (the main circuit board which was replaced already) be re-replaced before they agreed to replace the machine. We agreed and the serviceman returned 2 weeks later and replaced the board again. Guess what, the machine still didnt work. Now frustrated, I called the store where the machine was purchased and explained the situation to a store manager. He did, in all fairness, relay my problem to Richards service department because in one hours time, I received another call from Richards. Once again I had to retell my story to this person who assured me I would hear from her the following day. Four days later, theres still no return call from Richards service department. I returned a call to the store manager, retold my story and went out of my way to thank him for effects of relaying my problem to Richards service. I asked for Richards service phone at which time this manager got annoyed (clearly in his voice) and promptly gave me a wrong number. Thank you P.C. Richards, guess youve lost another customer. $1375 may not seem a lot to you, but its a lot of money to me. Im considering a small claims suit against Richards and Bosch and will explore that option.

The Bosch model SHV99A03/UC 14 is fabulous! It is quiet, a major advantage. Only a door spring pulley has broken in 12 years. The racks are large and easy to load. They fit all sizes of dishes and utensils. This will hold a very full load of dishes. We have the option for wood paneling that matches the oak cabinets. The door springs are strong, but the plastic pulleys are what broke. Bosch has redesigned them, so get the newer ones. They are a real challenge to replace, but there was some good video on YouTube showing how. Study first before you begin!

We recently purchased this fridge/freezer KGV36VW32G. There are several issues: 1. The manual is very poor with lots of words but very little information, for example the freezer temperature is controlled by the fridge settings so how do we know what the freezer temperature is? 2. The outer skin is very flimsy. Already got a dent on the door with normal use. 3. The LED light cannot illuminate the inside of the fridge when the fridge has produce in it as the light is badly situated. 4. The doors are difficult to close and have to be pushed quite hard to make a seal. 5. Coupled with 4 above there is no alarm if the doors are not closed. Already lead to one freezer defrost. 6. The ice cube tray and egg rack supplied are not fit for purpose. Ice cube tray too small and lid did not fit after one use, the egg rack is too small and only holds 4 eggs. 7. Generally the appliance is of poor quality and not good value for money.

WE LEARN BY OUR MISTAKES. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

After 2h 45mins on the phone and talking to 10(!) separate people with Wayfair and Bosch trying to get the dishwasher I ordered last Wednesday, that was supposed to arrive on Friday, that I then had to call to find out why it wasnt delivered on Friday, only to be told it was on a truck and could be delivered Sat, but Sat didnt work for us so the next available date was today (Wednesday - 5 days late), only for them to now tell me (after having to call back to find out why I hadnt heard anything about delivery), that there is no dishwasher until at best (!) early November!! I am APPALLED at the customer service from both Wayfair and Bosch in not stepping up to solve THEIR problem. When I called Bosch directly, they told me they couldnt talk to me and that I had to call Wayfair back (yet again). Complete runaround. Ultimately I was told that I should just cancel my order and order something else (like this was my fault!) without any offer to resolve the issue. And finally after 10 people, I still have no real sense if Bosch actually has any dishwashers in stock anywhere. While I wanted a Bosch based on reviews for quality, Im not planning on making ANY future orders. If I could give 0 stars I would. A complete waste of time and effort! STAY AWAY!!

After cooking a pot roast I accidentally got pan drippings on the oven door. I wiped them up and closed the oven door and found that drippings poured inside and became trapped between the glass. This is a minor incident and I cant find anyone to help. The manufacturer had no advise on how to solve this. I called various appliance repair services and no one will help.

I have a Bosch Evolution Gas Range that we have had for about 4 years. I have been quite happy with the range for the most part, except for the ongoing problem with the oven door not closing. I have done some research and it appears to be a very common problem that has been going on for years! I am extremely unhappy that such a well known company with such a good reputation would risk losing satisfied customers by ignoring this issue! Dont you understand that poor customer service can destroy that wonderful reputation? How can I, in good conscience, recommend a company that will not take responsibility for a chronic and common problem with their product? The answer is, I cant! Im very disappointed. Dont think another Bosch will be in my future if something doesnt change. All these customers with door issues should not be ignored. Do a recall and fix the problem! I rate customer service a 0.

I had called the factory service (Dale ** at **) and also talked to the service manager Ron ** to have my dryer repaired. The problem was first tried to fix on August 8th, 2011 where I had paid close to $300. But the problem of the clinging and banging noise did not go away. After 2 more visits, the service man had ordered new parts that seemed to be delivered always wrong. Today, after 3 months later, my nerves are blank listening to this banging, clinging dryer noise, which I have to hear 3 times per week. Nobody calls anymore to show any effort to fix this problem. How can it be that Bosch cannot fix their own machines? I think that I have been more than patient. And if you cannot repair what is wrong with my dryer, then I deserve a new machine. Or, deduct the already paid $273.25 and get me a new dryer.

When my Bosch dishwasher was 4 years old a safety recall was done at no charge. I had a similar problem again four more years later and called their customer help line to see what it would cost to have a service technician check it out. When I gave them my serial number and explained the problem I was having the representative said it may be the same problem as previous and as it was safety related there would be no charge. Their rate at the time was in excess of $100.00 per hour. I explained to the rep that I did not want to pay that much if there was a possibility it was not the same problem. She assured me that there would be no charge for the diagnosis. The repairman came and found that the electrical connection to the unit had shorted. He installed a new wire connector at no charge even though it was no fault of their product. It has been working fine since then and is now ten year old, but when it does finally die I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher. Their product and service has far exceeded my expectations.

I purchased a Bosch stove from the builder of my new home. Apparently there is a problem with the controls that turn the burners on. I was told by the Bosch rep that this is a safety problem that needs to be addressed. After weeks of trying to get this resolved and hours of waiting on hold and for a repairman I just keep getting the runaround and am living with a product that I was told by Bosch and the repairman that has a safety problem. This is the fifth Bosch product I have purchased and will never purchase another. I purchased this product new from the builder in 2017 and was told by Bosch that by checking the serial # it was produced in 2015. Why was I sold a unit that was over 2 years old?

I had a similar Bosch in a home I purchased in 2015 and I love everything about it. I moved in 2017 and of course purchased another Bosch fridge. This one works well, but it has a feature on the shelves that wastes a huge amount of space and makes the actual useable height of the shelves 1” shorter than the actual height. Somehow I didnt notice it in the store despite looking at it a number of times. It could be that they changed the shelves recently and the store model didnt have the brace across the front of each shelf. Its almost impossible to seein the photos. A tall drink bottle wont fit without angling it and even worse, the upper shelves are only 3 1/4” high instead of 4” high if it didn’t have that weird brace across the front. It make it so that only ver short items can go on that shelf. The bottom shelf in 10’ tall because of the brace, Hill without it, it would be 11 1/8” high. If I can find shelves without the brace, it would be worth it to me to replace these shelves at my own expense because Best Buy won’t do anything about it.

I got this washer as an open-box deal at a killer price. Note that it requires 240V, so unless you buy the matching dryer, you need to either have an electrician run a 240V outlet to your laundry room or convert your existing 120V outlet to a 240V, which is only possible if it's a dedicated only outlet on the circuit. If it is though, and you feel confident enough to do some basic electric work in the breaker box, the cost for this is $5 for the outlet and face plate and $10 for the double pole breaker and it takes less than 30 minutes (see picture). This washer is extremely quiet, both during wash cycles and when spinning. Compared to the Samsung HE front loader that it replaced, it is much quicker and the clothes come out MUCH MUCH cleaner, especially whites, and without using any bleach or Borax. It also has a higher spin speed than the Samsung, which means the clothes come out dryer and you're saving time and money on drying. Overall, I cannot believe that I put up with the Samsung for as long as I did.

For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. I would NEVER recommend Bosch appliances and I am VERY disappointed I purchased these products. THE WORST.

This new oven was installed October 14th and has never worked. Bosch factory repair came out and said there were four things wrong with it and that it should be replaced. After a month of calling, emailing and waiting hours upon hours on hold, Bosch said they would not replace it but attempt to fix it. The repairman came again, again stated that it could not be repaired and that the needed panel was backordered. It is now December and the needed part is not going to be available until after the first of the year. Bosch refuses to replace the oven and does not stand behind their product. I would never buy Bosch again. You cannot get a manager on the phone and the call center reps are belligerent.

Bought floor model from Lowes. As a Lowes employee I am well aware of Lowes deficiencies and should have expected that they would sell a returned item without the parts needed for installation. Boschs do not direct wire; they need a custom connector for the electrical connection. But I called Bosch and told them the parts were missing. Their rep took all my information and promised to send them. Then they emailed back to me (which I failed to notice) and stated their supervisor (super ** or super **) stated since it was a floor model I would have to take back their promise and I would have to pay for the parts. Did not include part numbers, how much, etc. to make it even harder for me to order. This is causing a 10 day delay in installation, etc. Just know Bosch which wants $800-2000 for a dishwasher is willing to sell their reputation for some parts revenue. Thought these Germans were smarter than that but obviously the South was the wrong place to locate their plant. Obviously I am very pissed off about this.

Dishwasher control panel markings have all worn off after two years. So you no longer can see power buttons or different cycles. Filed a claim with Bosch like many other consumers have done. Bosch says that they will not cover it and claims it is cosmetic issue not a operating issue. It is an operating issue since you have to take out the manual to know which area to push to run the dishwasher since all of the print has worn off the control panel. We bought a complete set of Bosch appliances, range, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher in 2016. Within the first year, we had a repairman come out for our ice maker on the fridge, (wasnt making ice) quick enough, thought he fixed it the first time but... he ended up coming back out a second time. We then came to the conclusion we use too much ice than the ice maker can handle for 2 adults!! (Seems odd) but ok. Fine... Now here we are, 3 years later and my range will not heat, the broiler works but the oven does not.. for appliances that are relatively new that seems really odd!!!! Ive had a Whirlpool that lasted 15 years!!! I do not think I will buy another Bosch appliance!! Ill stick with GE or Whirlpool... Tomorrow I have a repairman coming!! We bought a Bosch dishwasher for about $700 shortly after the 2009 recall (dishwashers bursting into flames due to electronics issue). We thought that the quality issues were limited to a single electronic component, and previously the company had a good reputation. The dishwasher cleans dishes, so we should be happy, right? In the past year, the control buttons and the plastic countdown window have popped out one by one. Today is my second round of DIY repair. The reason for repeated button loss is now very clear - the front fascia panel is made of a thin panel of ABS. This is not just a decorative panel - the stress of door opening with every use is applied to the panel, which is now cracked. Because of a design flaw, the cracks propagate right into the button area - so I no longer have a way to keep those buttons from falling out.Parts are available on the Bosch web site - only $86 plus shipping for the fascia and the missing button. The replacement panel will have the same design issue as the original, so this may buy me a year, 2 years or three of intact dishwasher. For environmental and financial reasons, I expect a dishwasher to last about 15 years. I am very disappointed by the substantial repair time and cost caused by an under designed appliance part. The model number is she45m02UC/53 and the part of doom is panel-fascia 478810.

The tumble dryer was not working properly, not drying the container button kept flashing even though the container was not even a quarter full, and then the handle broke. We call Bosch with the same problem (under warranty) months ago and the engineer said that he could find a fault - he admitted that the handle (top) was broken but did nothing about both problems. Today, we had an engineer coming and all he wanted first was his call charge. He refused to look at it and did not have a spare handle to change despite our phone call to make sure we wont waste time on this. We refused to pay because when weve spoken to Bosch we said that this was an existing problem, and of course now our warranty had run out. Weve spoken to a Supervisor and said they could not do anything and could not find our previous call and existing problem. Very angry with them. All our appliances are from Bosch. WE WILL NOT BE BUYING FROM BOSCH ANYMORE AND WILL PASS ON THE BAD EXPERIENCE WE HAD TO EVERYBODY. Do not buy from Bosch, they will try to rip you off like us once a problem arises. After almost 3 months I still dont have both machines fully functioning. This is incredibly inconvenient since I have a young child and have to do laundry frequently. During the two years we have owned the appliances, the microwave has broken down three times. Boschs customer service has been atrocious! Many weeks waiting for an appointment and then more time waiting for parts and subsequent visits from a repairman. Most recently, the control panel was completely replaced on 8/17/18. This has been a horrible experience made worse today when I discovered during a baby shower that the Bosch warming drawer installed under the oven units had been damaged during the repair to the microwave! I was kind of upset, seeing as I just replaced the brushes less than a month earlier. But weve used this washer practically every day for 12 years. I just wish you could replace the relay and not have to purchase a new board. Cheapest one I found was ~$500. Hmmm..... I can replace it and Im sure the washer will work fine once again. Or, I can spend $1,000 and buy a new washer.Brought home the new Bosch washer yesterday. Love it. I will keep looking for a new control module for the old washer. Super please with this purchase. Been using it 6 months now, supplies our bathroom shower and kitchen sink. We take a shower with it no problem, however if my wife turns on kitchen sink hot water, temp drops substantially in the shower. This small units can really only handle one demand at a time... which is fine for us. We live simple, 600 sqft house. Here's the only tricky thing about it, and it's just a limitation of the size of the unit: the bath-tub water flow is too much to heat the water sufficiently, so I had to manually close my hot water valve to the bathtub about half way. This slows the flow of the water through the water heating unit and allows it to get hot enough to be good for bath temperature. So the bath tub takes a while to fill. Not a big deal for us. I did a lot of reading on different units and this one seemed to have the best reviews. Even if this unit died in a couple years, I would buy it again and re-install a new one.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Furniture & Appliance Mart in Madison, WI. This was delivered on 9/16/15 by them. The appliance was professionally installed by our own installer. We ate supper that night & then turned on the dishwasher. It went through one part of the cycle & started making a strange sound that just kept going. We looked at it & saw that we had an E-15 error. This means there is a water leak in the bottom pan. We tried to override & shut this off & could not, so we shut the dishwasher off at the breaker. We contacted Bosch Customer Service & they told us to do something we did not understand. They told us to call back in the morning. We called back the next morning (Thurs) at 8am. They told us Akrit would service this for us & would call us back within 24 hours. I waited around all day Friday & when they didnt call by 4pm, I called Akrit myself. They told me that Bosch never contacted them, but, after searching through something on-line, they found my service call. I told them the problem & Ashley contacted the tech directly & set me up by noon on Monday. The tech showed up on time on Monday & checked out the dishwasher. He did a thorough job & found a small leak in the left rear welded seam. Thats when the problems started. I have a list of times & people I spoke to, to no avail at Bosch customer service. Each one telling me that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. (Joke!) That never, ever happened once! Finally, by 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, we were able to talk to someone at Bosch to set a file (claim) with Bosch. They received a copy of our purchase & a copy of what the tech wrote & told us theyd get back to us within 24 hours. We called again on Wednesday morning. After my husband was told that the person in customer service would not get back to us until at least Thursday morning, we decided to take matters into our own hands. He went into the store of purchase, spoke to the manager, who contacted customer service at their corporate office. They apologized to us & set up a delivery, set-up and new dishwasher & are dealing with Bosch themselves. Bosch Customer Service, in my opinion, does not exist. By the way, our 2nd new dishwasher was delivered, setup & installed Friday afternoon & works wonderfully! This was done only because Appliance & Furniture Mart stepped in & took care of us, their customer. Bosch called us back around 4pm Friday, by the way, 3 days after we set up the claim.

From the first day of unwrapping the dishwasher it had an awkward smell. After initiating use the smell worsened which led me to calling Bosch since it was under warranty, I explained that there was a really bad smell and while cleaning the filter notice that a small amount of water remained after each use. I assumed there was a drainage problem hence keeping water which would cause the smell. The customer rep was rude from the beginning and initially told me there was nothing they could do, after hashing it out she confirmed it was under warranty and scheduled a technician to come out. The tech checked it said it was running perfectly and that it is normal for a small amount of water to remain at the bottom. He told me to use liquid instead of powder or the small pacs. I have bought dishwasher cleaner, rinsed it with vinegar, Clorox and still it smells awful. I have another home and many friends with dishwashers and despite any reason they do not smell as much as mine... I am so unhappy. I hate using it, secondly it does not clean well. I am going to try to inquire about a refund. I will never buy a Bosch product of any kind for any of my homes. My Bosch dishwasher was purchased from Best Buy.

I have had a Bosch microwave oven for a year and a half. In that time, it has broken down twice! The first time, Bosch repaired under warranty with no problems. The second complaint, they set up a warranty service call a week out from my reporting it failed. Repair date came and went. They said they were overbooked, but would be happy to put us on the list in a week from now. I asked to be put next in line and they said, We cant inconvenience our customers like that. Im not sure what that makes me! We paid a lot of money for that microwave! I will never buy another Bosch product and will discourage everyone I know from purchasing a Bosch!

We purchased the dishwasher last July. It will not get the dishes clean unless they are basically clean before you put them in. And it will not get them dry -- ever. Within a month, we could not get it to start because the door would not close. The tech said it needed to be leveled. Two months later, the door wont close. Tech has to order a bracket for the door. Two months later, same problems -- tech removes some of the parts of the top rack. Two months later, same problems. I have asked for a replacement and no one got back to me. Today, same problem. I think they are just trying to put me off until the warranty runs out.

We bought a high-end Bosch dishwasher from a big box store three years ago
We bought a high-end Bosch dishwasher from a big box store three years ago and have recommended it to everyone we know. We always loved how quiet it worked, how clean our dishes were, and the cool features Bosch has like the third rack for silverware. However, last week it just quit working out of the blue. Upon further inspection, the Bosch-supplied junction box had MELTED, along with the wiring. A quick Google search indicated that Bosch dishwashers develop mysterious and dangerous problems after three years... when they are out of warranty. As a matter of fact, check their recall record: my dishwasher SHOULD be part of the massive recall since the power box melted (the very problem they were seeking to remedy with the recall), but Bosch Customer Service says it is not. They (falsely) told me they would cover the problem anyway, but then the day the repairman came out, told me they would not only not cover it, they would not even ORDER the part I needed until I could provide proof of ownership. When I did, then they said they would not order the part until a written diagnosis was provided by the tech (who has other house calls to make?). I shudder to think how many more hoops I will have to jump through JUST TO GET THE PART, let alone who is going to pay for it. Ive worked my way up the Bosch customer service personnel list just to get to the same dead end. Bottom line: They have a neat product, when it works. But I wish I had known at the time that its not well-made, it will not last, and they will not stand by it. Oh, and it just might burn your house down as it almost did mine. BEWARE!!!

The panel on front that serves as the only handle - you pull to open the dishwasher - has cracked. It clearly will not last much longer. Very bad design. The dishwasher has been installed for about three years. So far the control buttons havent popped off, but I gather that is next. I bought a Bosch because a Swedish friend had one some years ago that was wonderful. Apparently, Bosch did not travel well.

This is a great dishwasher. Cleans dishes etc very well. One of the things I really like about this dishwasher is that it has a pan beneath it and if the washer leaks the dish catches it and has a sensor/valve that will shut the machine off. I had another model and it leaked and I had to repair the ceiling in my basement. Very well made and designed.

We purchased three Bosch products in December 2013: a dishwasher, and combo
We purchased three Bosch products in December 2013: a dishwasher, and combo oven/microwave. (HBL 5750). Both the microwave and oven have malfunctioned to the point of being unusable. $200 later, we have a quote for almost $1000 to fix them, no warranty extension. Attempting to get Bosch’s attention and address what we consider a premature failure of their very expensive products has been an exercise in futility. Their representative asked for—and I provided—original documentation of purchase of these products and quote for repair. They responded by asking for the original receipt and repair quote on letterhead, despite the fact that I sent them the inside product serial tag for each item. The provenance if these products is NOT an issue, yet they continue to disavow responsibility. Contrast this to Grohe products: I called them about a failed soap dispenser and faucet, sent them the original order and my new faucet/dispenser is on their way!! What a pleasure to deal with them!! Bosch is NOT WORTH the price, they don’t stand by their products, they have terrible customer service and they are obstructive in trying to navigate their process. Don’t bother; you are better off buying domestic products. Contrast this to Grohe products: I called them about a failed soap dispenser and

My wife and I bought a new home in January. It came with Bosch appliances. Within a few weeks the dishwasher started leaking a lot of water. I called Bosch and they sent a repairman out to check it. The repairman decided that it couldnt be fixed and would require a new dishwasher. He called Bosch and they said they needed proof of home purchase, which we gave them. Although my wife filled out all of the warranty information when we bought the house. The information that we sent to Bosch showed our names, address, closing date and the information on the house. We didnt include any information that had social security #s or financial information. Bosch continues to ask for the full 40 pages of my closing information and we refuse. Again, financial information, social security #s etc. are really none of their business. We have talked to them and asked them to tell us what else we can send them specifically and they cant tell us however, my dishwasher continues to leak on my floor and new cabinets and Bosch continues to say that they need 48 hrs. to run this by their bosses. The bottom line is that this is a 5-month old appliance that is bad and Bosch continues to play games to avoid honoring their own warranty. Why did we fill out the warranty cards in the first place if they cant use them. I will never recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. Not because we have a problem with their product. Anything can happen. But their desire to avoid repairing or replacing their defective product shows me that they have no desire to do the right thing.

I bought a Bosch refrigerator because I absolutely LOVE my Bosch dishwasher
I bought a Bosch refrigerator because I absolutely LOVE my Bosch dishwasher. I paid $2000.00 and the icemaker/water dispenser was defective the day it was delivered. That entire unit had to be replaced, which took a month. Less than 3 months later, the icemaker conked out again and had to be repaired. The culprit this time was a frozen fill tube. This was in June 2015. In October/November 2015, the icemaker started overfilling at random times. In December 2015, the icemaker simply quit functioning altogether. I called Bosch on 12/16/15 to report the problem -- third time with the icemaker -- and requested they just replace the refrigerator, as it is obviously defective. Also, Bosch could not even schedule a repair for the refrigerator until 01/04/15, and the warranty expires on 02/15/2015. I have never had any major appliance experience problems within the first year of service, let alone be delivered defective. The rep. told me shed forward the complaint to management and I should get a decision by the end of business. No one called me that day, or the next day, or the next day, either. So I called them back and had to wait more than 30 minutes before getting a live representative, who told me that managements decision -- which had been made the day before -- was that I should just get the unit repaired again for the third time for the same issue, and that if and when it happened AGAIN, THEN theyd consider replacing the refrigerator. As I pointed out, this would MOST LIKELY occur AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, so I would be on the hook for the cost of repairs by that point. The rep. assured me that Bosch would simply extend the warranty, based on my documented repair history. (Yeah, when pigs fly.) I requested to speak to a supervisor, but none were available. When I said I would file a complaint, the representative threatened to release the line -- hang up on me. This was after I had spent more than 45 minutes just that day on the phone trying to resolve this issue with BOSCH. I would never consider buying another BOSCH refrigerator in my entire life. This is the only refrigerator I have ever bought in the last forty-four years that has EVER given me any problems. Unbelievable. Dont buy one. LEMON.

Wall oven kept going dark and not working until you reset the breaker. Had to do that a few times in the three years we’ve owned it. It was installed new in 2016, we bought the house in 2018. Now it won’t reset at all. The only authorized service company is failing to get a tech here since March 31 with parts already being local. Wrote to Bosch hoping to get some help in getting the oven fixed. After sending them all the info they requested along with my firstborn they said they couldn’t help and that the awful service company they have is the only one “sorry” and “thanks for letting us help you”.??? Buy something else. Bosch is just expensive junk.

I at first liked this washer then several problems. One, the moldy smell inside required the door to be left open to avoid a stench. I got used to that, though constantly had to wipe the gaskets out and clean the inside door and gaskets. Then a couple of years ago, 8 years after I bought it, the housing near the dials developed a small crack. I called customer service and received no satisfaction.I called again in August this year, obtained a file number for my complaint, but they wanted me to get a Bosch repair person and pay them to diagnose the problem, which was evident from the picture below, as a crack. This was not due to operator error or misuse. We are a retired couple, dont take in laundry (!) and it is kept on the first living floor of our heated and air conditioned house. I have seen other complaints of these issues online, so I know were not alone. I wish I had kept my 29 year old Maytag and replaced the pump instead of buying this set. Dont buy Bosch!

Since I purchased my W&D nearly 3 years ago Ive had repair people called out at my expense twice. Then a couple of weeks ago my washer started leaking at the front-loading door-seal. I called Bosch to see if they would pick up the tab for this third unfortunate event. They would not. The major cost is, of course, the house call. The Bosch Customer Service (joke) rep told me that, at most, they would provide another door seal after I paid a repair person to come and look at the washer and state that it leaked, -- THEN, I must call the repair person back again (my fee, again) to install the seal that BOSCH so generously provided to me (after proof). Only then would I have a washer that twisted my clothes into a knot and annoyed me with constant beeps that I cannot turn off. What is wrong with these companies? Where is customer service? I bought their high end products and put my faith in them to help the environment by using less water and electricity, to the tune of 3X what a regular ol W&D cost. German engineering notwithstanding, I will never buy another Bosch product. I will wash clothes on a rock first!! And ya know what the really sad part is? The nice little Appliance Plus repairman in Surfside said on one of this visits that this was still the best washer and dryer made :(

My cousin was going to purchase 50 dishwashers for a condo unit he is building. Guess what!? He isnt anymore! The stench from the dishes not getting cleaned is disgusting. Never, ever buy Bosch for anything! Their customer service is the WORST!!! The water does not fill leaving the dishwasher to run for over 2 hours never cleaning a single dish. Before upgrading my kitchen appliances, did search on BOSCH Kitchen gas cooktops, found one had good reviews, after buying from LOWES, within few months, knobs getting hot, and even hotter once we cook more and more, both right and left hand side were getting extremely hot, even above we used to have microwave, under and handle both were getting so hot, unbelievable... we started getting burned 10 to 15times a year, I called Lowes, told us to contact BOSCH directly, I gave several terrible reviews so new customers stay away from this product, this is the most terrible product of BOSCH made, as last week, my wife got really burned by her finger tops try to turn-off the steel knob, and she got really burned for weeks, couldnt touch or grab anything from that finger. Today I am complaining to company and many others NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT. This is Worst product...that you cant imagine!!Thinking to hire lawyer and sue the company so, they will take this matter seriously and for other new customers not to invest in this non-safety, disaster product ever can come into the market to sell. MODEL: NGM8054UC /03. Serial: 931000088. - Wish this can help others to stay away and can save lives (if minor kids/adults/seniors -ALL touching the knobs in the house).

After the cleaning, we noticed that large to medium specks of grease were embedded in the glass of the oven door. A Bosch representative came and took a look. He said it was a function of the oven. We called customer service and elevated the call to a supervisor who said the same thing and if we wanted to clean the glass, we would have to pay for that ourselves. I am writing this because this was an expensive combined oven (microwave and regular oven). Had I known of this issue, I would have purchased a different oven. I purchased a Bosch refrigerator in May 2010. I was happy about the design and sizing. The refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser stopped working right way. I called 1-800-944-2904. Customer service was nice and sent me a technician, who said that the refrigerator had a computer failure. He did order the parts and the parts came the next day. The technician came after two days and said that the parts are wrong and ordered one more time. The parts arrived and the technician changed them; nothing was working. He ordered the left door. The door arrived, the technician came and installed the door and still, nothing worked. After several calls and a lot of aggravation, Bosch sent me another door (dont know why). Finally, I have had to send them proof of my purchase and several calls to management before they changed my refrigerator. I was so happy! The refrigerator worked for almost 3 years. Now, it has stopped cooling in the freezer compartment. I called Bosch services again on April 08, 2013. They promised me a technician who can only come on April 13th! I had to ask my neighbor to store my food temporarily in their refrigerator. Today, April 09, 2013, the refrigerator stopped cooling completely! I dont understand one thing - why Bosch refrigerators work for only 3 years? How do I make them responsible for it? They are charging $99 only because the technician will show up at your door. After that, they charge $12 every six minutes! I shouldve done better research first. Now I did, and I dont understand why I dont see any recalls on cooling system failure. It looks like it is the biggest problem in Bosch refrigerators. Im so upset at this point. I work so hard and wasnt prepared to buy a refrigerator every 3 years. Please advise me. I dont know what to do. The repair will probably be cheaper, but how I can trust them?

My children and I nearly lost our lives 3 nights ago in a fire. I went to bed after turning on my premium Bosch dishwasher. I am deaf in one ear. I went to sleep and heard/smelled nothing. Suddenly my 12 year-old daughter came running into my room yelling that there was a fire in the kitchen. I ran down and saw 3 foot flames coming out of the dishwasher. Thank god I had a fire extinguisher, which I had taught myself to use after seeing a Dateline story years ago that most Americans who have extinguishers dont know how to use them. We are now displaced temporarily from our apartment for at least 2-3 weeks during clean-up and without a kitchen for 3-4 months. If one more minute had passed, I would not have been able to reach the extinguisher on the counter and would have lost everything. If my daughter had not been so alert or there, I/we would have died. What makes me angry is that Bosch KNOWS these dishwashers may catch on fire. There is a voluntary recall posted deep in their site for models from 1999-2005 for a very rare ability to inflame. They have made little effort to contact consumers directly. If you google, you will see that the international news media is starting to notice.

I purchased a Bosch gas stove and dishwasher 18 months ago as part of a home remodeling project. Within weeks of installation the symbols on the stove knobs indicating what burner they corresponded to had virtually worn away. I had the plate replaced and within a few months they had worn away again. I have used no cleaning product on the stove other than stainless steel cleaner - now I just live with the fact that people have to figure out what burner theyre turning on by trial and error. Within months the electrical components of the oven also began to malfunction. The oven would preheat but if it were left on for a while (while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, for instance - yes, that happened) the oven would spontaneously go dead - the digital display as well as the heating element. Switching off the circuit breaker and turning it back on again did nothing. I had the circuit board replaced (it was still under warranty) and a few weeks later the same thing happened (again, during a party when I was doing a lot of cooking). Long story short, it took 6 months and several service calls to resolve the problem. Now the oven works but the clock loses hours almost daily - I have to constantly re-set it. (Again, I just live with this - apparently having a stove clock that works is too much to ask.) The dishwasher has been just as bad. A wine glass apparently broke during a washing cycle and a 1 shard of glass got through the filter and into the pump. (Like this has never happened before in anyones kitchen? The filter system underneath the dish rack should be designed to prevent hard objects like a piece of glass from getting into the pump.) The dishwasher is 18 months old. I just spent $250 dollars for a new pump. I will never, ever buy a Bosch appliance again. I had a Frigidaire dishwasher in my old house and never had a service call in 10 years. For supposedly higher-end appliances, Boschs engineering and attention to detail is absolutely pathetic. I would give them a 0 for reliability. The local appliance outlet I bought these from has been extremely prompt about coming to my home for service calls, and very apologetic about my complaints. I dont blame them - I place the blame entirely on the poor quality of the appliances themselves.
