We owned a Sears Kenmore dishwasher for 10 years until we decided to upgrade to a Bosch when we remodeled our kitchen. What a mistake. The Bosch stinks. When you open the door it smells up the whole kitchen. My husband has called about this & been given instructions which have not stopped the smell. Now the dishwashing liquid dispenser does not open during cleaning. He has also called about this. They said to just put it in bottom! I would never recommend Bosch products & will never buy one again. I gave it 1 star because I had to. I would really give it no stars.

Advice for anyone looking for appliances: DO NOT BUY FROM BOSCH.. We got a microwave from them because it was supposed to be the best of the best. About 16 months after purchasing, the microwave needed fixing so we did it the way Bosch said we had to do it for the parts to be covered. This happened 3 times in a matter of 3 years. The third time, it was deemed unrepairable. After a month of going back and forth with them, not having a microwave, the best offer they could give me was that I had to pay $300 for a replacement microwave. Mind you, it was a $1200 microwave to begin with. So with the original cost upfront, the service costs and what they now want me to pay for a replacement microwave, I’m looking at roughly $2100 dollars on this microwave. And they claim this to be a “more than fair” offer. The customer service will throw you around from one guarded person to the next. They’ll forward you to their “manager” and when you ask for their name and title after finishing a conversation with them, you’ll find out that it’s not the manager and they’ll REFUSE to give you their last name or an email or anything to contact them. Then, when you’ve had enough and you name all the people you’ve spoken with and that you want to speak to the actual manager, they put you on a lengthy hold that conveniently dies on several occasions. https://www.facebook.com/BoschAppliances/

I remodeled my kitchen in July of 2011. I got a gas stovetop and the vent is the Bosch 10282541 downdraft system. This is approx. $1,200 and has never worked for more than a month at a time. Currently, its not working, and Bosch will not repair it. I contacted Bosch in October of 2011 and they gave me a name of a company to work with. They came out, assessed the problem and after 6 weeks of no contact, no update, no fix, I had to contact Bosch and get another name of a company to fix the problem. Again, after weeks of delay, they came out and fixed it.And after 2 months, the vent broke again. They were in the process of fixing this, and again, it was delayed due to a back problem with the repairman. They did a partial fix, but then needed more repairs - and Bosch said the time was out for the year of in-warranty repair. During the first year this was installed, it was not working more than it was working. On Thanksgiving and every major holiday, I was without a fan. I contacted Bosch several times, and they promised to have a supervisor call me back, but that never happened. I have resolved to not buy Bosch appliances ever again as my fix.

We bought a Bosch oven 4 years ago. The self-clean function didnt work the first time we tried as there was something wrong with the door hinges. This wasnt under warranty. We always found that the oven took a long time to cook things, but didnt really give it a second thought. There was also a mystery screw that magically appeared in the warming drawer one day. 9 days ago, the glass on the door spontaneously exploded into thousands of pieces while baking at a relatively low heat. We called Bosch and scheduled service for last Wednesday. Needless to say, they refused to accept responsibility as we are beyond our warranty period. As I took apart the glass, I discovered that the missing screw was one of the three holding the glass panel in place. This should never have just fallen out. I also noticed that the door closes much better than before. We are now 9 days without our oven and there is no sign of a Bosch technician! When I spoke to the Bosch rep, I asked how to register a complaint. He referred me to their web-site - but it only allows for 250 characters. Clearly, they dont want to hear about any problems. So much for expecting that a high end company might be interested in quality. Clearly, I wont be running out to buy any more Bosch appliances.

My Dishwasher was purchased April 2011, about 1 1/2 years ago it started to stay on for about 3 mins and then go off, so it didnt turn on the first try, then the issue started to get worse, it is up to 10 tries before it goes on. We are very frustrated, maybe I am naive but I was counting on this dishwasher working for at least 5 years.Model Number SHX68E05UC/25 - Before this dishwasher I owned a lower end Bosch dishwasher, the only reason we changed it was because this one was quieter and had the sanitizing feature. I so regret getting it, this dishwasher was manufactured in Germany, with German Engineering etc, but their warranty sucks, they do not stand behind their product. I guess it is all about the money and all lies behind the product hype. I demand satisfaction, we the consumers should not have to fork out more money to repair a defective product. I checked online and it is supposed to be warrantied for 5 years, yet Bosch service warranty says only the timer part is warrantied for 5 years but not the service to install it. Seriously should I throw my dishwasher out after 2 years and purchase a new one?? I want and demand satisfaction for the product I was sold.

For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. I would NEVER recommend Bosch appliances and I am VERY disappointed I purchased these products. THE WORST.

Scrapes on my brand new Bosch dishwasher. The outside is very, very delicate. I have already gotten 3 scrapes on the front panel, in just a few months. The front has no protection to keep this from happening and I now am very sorry I got this dishwasher from Lowes although it does clean the dishes very well. Not sure if I can use appliance paint to cover these up or if it will make it worse.

I bought a Bosch refrigerator French Doors Model B26FT7 2 1/2 years ago. In less than three years, the refrigerator has failed three times. Each time the company had to dismantle the inside of the refrigerator in order to replace the entire ice making unit. Now I am waiting for a new ice making unit to arrive. Also the temperature inside the refrigerator is much higher than it shows on the control panel. On the panel it indicates that the temperature is 43 degrees, but an accurate thermometer I placed inside shows 34 degrees. I feel this refrigerator is simply junk. I would never buy one again.

I completed a kitchen renovation and purchased a Bosch refrigerator. When it was unwrapped, the right door was severely damaged. Bosch suggested a new door rather than a new refrigerator and I agreed. We are now 2 months later and I’m told the production of the door is not until 9/18/21 and they have no idea when they will replace the door. Lewis was very irritated when I tried to get a definitive answer as to the install date. These are not cheap appliances and I guess I expected better customer service. Doubt that I will be a future Bosch customer based in this experience.

In late 2015, we bought a refrigerator (33 in. W 24.8 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel with Icemaker) and a microwave/oven combo (stainless steel 30 Inch Wide 4.6 Cu. Ft. Electric Built-In Combination Oven with 1.6 Cu. Ft. Microwave and True European Convection Lower Oven). We chose the Bosch brand based on reputation, longevity, performance, and design.Unfortunately, neither of these products has performed well considering they are both 3 years old. The refrigerator completely stopped working and had a large build up of frost on the back wall of the freezer wall. A service technician with Hagedorn’s Appliances fixed this problem by calling a Bosch technician to learn the control panel and plugs stopped working. The technician commented that this is a rare issue and was surprised the appliance was a Bosch due to the reputation. We were charged $688.79 to fix this issue. The microwave control panel is dim and we are unable to see what buttons we are pushing. The technician from Hagedorn’s said this is a realistic issue and fixable problem to the tune of $350.00. We have not scheduled this repair at this time. The third item we bought from Bosch were $775 dishwashers. We bought 2 of these. To say we love the dishwasher better than the microwave and refrigerator would be true; however we must stop short of saying these items are ‘exceptional’ in any way. The doors seemed ‘warped’ and don’t shut well all the time. The washing capabilities are fair (sometimes leaves marks) and the time to complete is crazy long 2.5 hours, even close to that on ‘speed’ mode. However the washing quality is worse. We will give it credit for being quiet, that it is, well done there. We really have just had a hard time and these products are not the ‘show pieces’ we had thought we bought just 3 short years ago. It will be hard for us to consider Bosch for the price and performance.

I have a fully equipped kitchen of brand new Bosch appliances. I started using them in April of 2019. In early November of that year, a small part on the lower freezer drawer broke off. This is the main freezer. I called Bosch service directly to schedule the repair. I was told that they contract their service out and that they only had two service companies in the entire San Diego county area, a HUGE area. Only one of these service companies was willing to come out and take look. The serviceman came out but did not have the part needed. He ordered it from Bosch. I heard nothing for 3 months. When I called Bosch in February 2020, still no part available. Now May, I called again and was told that the part was still not available and was “probably” coming from China and in fact may be discontinued altogether. I was told there was nothing they could do and that they will TRY and call IF it comes in. Wow. Beware! Choose appliances that have better service available and customer care in place.

Why should I pay, My last dishwasher lasted for 15 years (still working but not very energy efficient). So I have to wait for 48 hours for management approval. I owned a Bosch dishwasher which worked well for 15 years before the timer broke. I did not hesitate to purchase a new Bosch based on my prior experience. If you are thinking of buying one (MODEL SHP65TL5UC) and do not want to throw lots of money out the window and be dissatisfied, I would advise you to seek a different brand. First of all, the dishes do not dry thoroughly and come out with a weird slightly damp feeling even when using a Rinse Aid and normal cycle plus sanitize feature. I have tried to use this beefed up normal cycle with the sanitize cycle even with very lightly soiled dishes and even when the dishwasher is half full because the economy cycle gave me very damp dishes and actually wet plastic bowls. Even with the sanitize cycle which provides extra heat, the bottoms of coffee cups or bowls need to be dried with a towel. Why put things in the dishwasher if you are still drying them??Secondly, there is an ugly smell when you open the dishwasher. I took out the filter and there is about a cup of water that I was told stays at the bottom of the dishwasher at all times (just got this information from Bosch Customer Service). I run this dishwasher twice a week so this same water is just sitting there in an enclosed container for days on end so no wonder the water smells rank - and I have beautiful sparkling sweet tasting well water. How can Bosch deliver a product with such inferior design flaws? I can see from the reviews that many people are having these same problems so Customer Service cannot pretend they never heard this complaint. I intend to pursue this Bosch because I have owned this product for only two weeks and refuse to be stuck with such a bad dishwasher but poor performance with ridiculous design flaws. I guess Bosch is resting on former laurels because I would rank this as a big 0 if there was that option here.

We had a Kitchenaid that did not clean the dishes as well as the Bosch (I found this out when I got the Bosch). The Bosch has a better rating for reliability. The KitchenAid I replaced was top of the line and it died at 8yrs old. My wife says the Bosch holds more dishes and is easier to load. One tip, whom ever installs it should read the directions carefully (some plumbers are over confident they know how to install these. End up not getting the drain hose placed properly and the power cord) as these two exit the back of the dishwasher and when pushed into the cabinet they could have a chance to get crushes or tangled up or under the machine. The hose and cord need to pulled to take up the slack as the machine is pushed back in place. The drain hose needs to be 20 higher than where it exits the machine before going to the sink drain. Some folks complain of a foul smell from these machines and I feel the plumbers did not install them right. My sister in law has a Bosch and the cabinet inside stinks awful, mine has No Smell after a month of use. Thats why I feel the install by the plumber is faulty. I always bought KitchenAid but felt the quality has gone downhill and am very pleased with this Bosch... Cleans super well.

Our built in microwave 800 series starting having trouble about a year after purchase. The display went dim. We were told it was no longer in warranty so just lived with it. Subsequently the door broke, the fuse blew and the circuit board overloaded and failed/burned out (all out of warranty). The service person came ($200) to tell us the door being crooked from when we bought it caused all these problems because the left and right side triggers were engaging out of sync when opening and closing. The cost to repair the unit would be more than the value of the microwave at original purchase. As for a prorate on a replacement model. Its taken them 6 weeks and counting just to process that request while I continue to get voicemails that a repair person is coming back to fix it (a solution Ive repeatedly rejected as paying over $1000 to repair a microwave is nonsense). Two months of calls to Bosch support several times a week and still waiting to get this resolved. The prorate amount they have offered is a very small discount considering they sold us a lemon in the first place. Very disappointed with bosch at every step and would not recommend the product nor customer service.

I bought my dishwasher in May of 2011, and it worked fine until October 2012 when it decided to spring a leak. Due to my work schedule, it took a couple of weeks to schedule and receive the new parts for the dishwasher. The part that did arrive was broken but the technician was able to make it work. Everything has gone worked since, well, until yesterday. Another leak and the dishwasher is now out of warranty. I looked at the original estimate for repair and realized that the cost of repair would nearly be half of a new dishwasher. I am convinced I bought a bad dishwasher and I am just having some bad luck. I think I will try a different brand. Just like a Chevy. I cant stand them and find them to have reliability issues. I am sure the same goes with dishwashers.

Our four year old dishwasher was issued a recall as some of the plugs were catching on fire. I did as instructed on the recall notice and an authorized repairman came to the house. He said he couldnt get the dishwasher out without damaging our floors and left. I let Bosch know and they suggested that we get a quote to have the granite countertops removed, so that the repairman could get in. I asked for another dealer but they didnt want another repairman. I called our contractor to remove the dishwasher and the repairman came back to change the plug but refused to put back the dishwasher. The contractor came back to re-install the dishwasher and the dishwasher top rack and sprayer were now broken. Bosch got the fire hazard fixed so they are off the hook for that, but I am left with a broken dishwasher and their so called customer service wont respond. Now, I am forced to replace the dishwasher when I as the customer have done nothing wrong. Bosch cares about avoiding a lawsuit, but could give a whit about the customers experience. To my dismay the washer completely broke down (meaning the repairman said the only thing that did not need replacing was the shell of the washer). The washer turned 5 yrs old 10/15. I purchased the 4 yr extended warranty, so it had expired. There is only my daughter and myself, so my laundry is light. When I contacted Bosch they put me off for a month before reviewing my file and then today they said the best they could do for me was give me a 20% discount on Bosch parts! The Bosch for washer & dryer with stands were $3000. I laughed. I would not recommend anyone ever buy a Bosch product because they do not stand behind it.

This is the second time in a little over three years that I had to pay a repairman for my Bosch gas-free standing convection range. The first time was the igniter. It cost me $197.95. Now, I had to pay $85.00 for a repair because the control panel came loose and I found out it was just taped on. I cannot believe the poor workmanship that goes into your product. I will never ever buy any of your products again and I will tell everyone I know not to buy any of your products.

Super please with this purchase. Been using it 6 months now, supplies our bathroom shower and kitchen sink. We take a shower with it no problem, however if my wife turns on kitchen sink hot water, temp drops substantially in the shower. This small units can really only handle one demand at a time... which is fine for us. We live simple, 600 sqft house. Here's the only tricky thing about it, and it's just a limitation of the size of the unit: the bath-tub water flow is too much to heat the water sufficiently, so I had to manually close my hot water valve to the bathtub about half way. This slows the flow of the water through the water heating unit and allows it to get hot enough to be good for bath temperature. So the bath tub takes a while to fill. Not a big deal for us. I did a lot of reading on different units and this one seemed to have the best reviews. Even if this unit died in a couple years, I would buy it again and re-install a new one.

We purchased a Bosch oven two years ago. It now does not work. We live 110 miles from the nearest authorized repair. Our local appliance repair person has charged us $200.00 to fix our unit by replacing items until the unit works. Now he does not call us. I talked with Bosch customer service and they advised me that I need to provide them with the receipts of when I purchased the oven. So I would need to go through my 2013 records to find the receipt, then they would pay for an appliance repair person to come out. I have already spent 4 hours dealing with this problem. All I can say is I thought I was buying a quality unit that would take my wife and I into our retirement years. My mistake. Bosch is a highly overrated product. I will never buy another Bosch unit.

My daughter and son in law bought a new home 7 years ago and bought top of the line appliances. They no longer had their washer with 3 children to do laundry and the front panel cracked. They had a service man come from Midland appliance around 11 times to change this panel. My daughter and son-in-law work. So someone had to be available to let the service man in. I complained and thought it fair for inconvenience plus unacceptable poor quality of a washing machine. Bosch didnt seem to care. So this story ends with I would not purchase any Bosch appliances when I had to replace mine and my daughter has purchased the same set of course newer and it is DEFINITELY not a Bosch. Service was good from Midland but Bosch would not stand behind their name. I tried to help them as very busy parents with identical twin boys and a beautiful granddaughter.

Every time I called Bosch customer center I was given a case number and was told another service company would contact me in a day or two. However, no company would ever contact me in a month or two. Then I called the company and gave them the case number, they said Bosch never sent them the case. When a technician come finally, he looked at the problem and then said they did not deal with it. I bought this dishwasher based on customer reviews. I like the washing performance of this dishwasher, and the lighted controls…especially that it tells me how many minutes are left on the chosen cycle and when it is finished. It is also very quiet. There is one thing that frustrates me and that is the design of the lower rack. The tines are placed so that it can accommodate 12 place settings (according to the instruction manual). Few, if any, people have need for this on a daily basis. What is needed for families is capacity for place settings combined with serving bowls, mixing bowls, and cooking utensils. However, the tines are positioned so that this is very difficult and requires running the dishwasher more frequently or doing more hand washing. (My previous dishwasher was much more accommodating of a variety of dishes and pans.)I wrote a letter to the manufacturer with my concerns and asked if there is an alternative bottom rack. I got a callback but was unavailable. The message was that they would call back. Never happened. I called the number in the instruction book twice, each time the representative said she would have another person call me back...never happened. I thought Bosch was a top of the line brand and expected better service than this. At this point I would never recommend this brand to anyone. Model SHEM63W56N/13.

Our experience with Bosch appliances has been mixed but disappointing. First, the first cooktop delivered during a remodel would not function as soon as installed. This resulted in a multi-week delay in the remodel. Next, the microwave failed within a year of installation and then again within another year. We have paid more than $300 in repairs so far. Finally, with regard to business, we were promised a substantial rebate if we installed 3 or more appliances. We installed 4 but have not yet received the rebate. We have been pestering the dealer repeatedly for about 2 years now with no satisfaction. I will never again purchase a Bosch product.

I was so looking forward and very excited to finally have Bosch appliances in my newly remodeled kitchen, however, I am now very disappointed and heartbroken with my first time Bosch appliance experience. Purchased the Bosch kitchen appliance suite and while the refrigerator and range seem to be fine, our installer discovered severe concealed damage to the $1000 dishwasher when unpacking to install. The inside of the dishwasher is crushed in from the top and the upper spray unit was dislodged from its bracket. The box arrived in perfect condition (as did the range and refrigerator) and no damage is noticeable until unpacked AND the felt covering is pulled back to see the damage to the outside of the unit. The response from the Bosch USA customer service team was that, upon review, they were unable (unwilling!) to help. When I asked to speak to the decision making manager I was told We are not allowed to do that. It would appear that the dishwasher was damaged at the Bosch factory and shipped to the distributor who also assumed the unit was undamaged due to the perfect condition of the box. Is this the way a world-renowned brand like Bosch provides excellent customer service and satisfaction?!? Really?!?

We replaced another brand refrigerator after only four years because of constant ice maker repairs. We shopped long and hard for another one and were told by most salesmen and our own online research that the number one refrigerator repair for all brands was through-the- door ice makers. We also needed a counter depth model, not many out there. We're on our second Bosch dishwasher now and couldn't be happier with it. So, the Bosch brand and in freezer bin type ice maker sold us. Best Buy is now into the appliance business big time, we got it there and were very happy with the sales person and their delivery/installation. This really is a well designed product. We are replacing a 22 Cu ft. side by side and actually get more food in this model and more importantly, can find it. The refrigerator was delivered two months ago and our only problem so far is of course, the ice maker. The ice maker replenishment time hasn't been a problem for us as we are a couple only and the ice bin holds a lot of ice, and after no ice half of the time with our old refrigerator, the sound of ice dropping into the bin was most welcome, but the taste of the ice cubes (stale water or soapy like taste) has been. We had a Bosch repairman check and verify the problem. He replaced the inlet valve a week ago, as according to him, it is the only metal part that could be causing the taste and that was all he could do. One week later we still have the stale taste, it may not be the refrigerator, but we are using the same copper connecting tubing that our old refrigerator used, and our city water taste is fine. We are now using plastic ice cube trays and water out of the sink in the Bosch freezer to make useable ice? Another minor problem was a squeaky upper freezer drawer (yep, where the ice maker bin is located). Bosch repair recommended something called ( Food Grade Silicone spray), hard to find, try (Ace Hardware), that worked and the problem was solved. We really like this refrigerator and hope this gets resolved (Bosch, are you reading this review?) As the price of refrigerators now approach that of a good used car, we can't afford to keep buying them every few years!

My dishwasher was damaged during a lightning storm. I initially contacted customer service who gave advice, which made no sense (add rinse agent??). Called their local service rep. Service rep contacted their tech department upon arrival at my home & was advised regarding what part to order. Service rep returned, installed part, didnt work. Rep contacted their tech dept. again and was told that was the wrong part & to order another. I had to pay for the wrong part & service call to install it. Service rep installed 2nd part, didnt work, returned it. Service rep came again & installed replacement part, didnt work. Service rep took my dishwasher to his shop and worked on it. After 4 months, without a dishwasher, and a final bill of just under $500, my dishwasher still does not perform at 100% capacity. Contacted Bosch to at least be reimbursed for the wrong part & service call to install it and they said, Turn it in to your home owners insurance company.

Friends please do not go for Bosch brand front load washing machine. I made wrong decisions in buying Bosch washing machine. I bought it on 6/7/2016 for 25k and it is stopped working now as on 25/9/2018 in just 2 years and 2 months. Warranty period is 2 years. Service person visited the site on 1/10/2018 and inspected the machine and told drum and gasket has gone and needs to be replaced. The cost for replacement as they told first is 11800. After discussion with Bosch higher officials they have given 50% discount and now the cost I need to pay is around 6000. Investing 6000 in 2 years for service is not a small amount. People buy the product by trusting brand and my kind request to Bosch is do not sell this type of cheap quality products to consumers. My kind request to consumers is if you want to buy washing machine please do not go for Bosch which is designed to work only for warranty period I think.

BOSCH SLIDE IN ELECTRIC RANGE. First off the Bosch range is beautiful. It can be described as understated elegance. The range is designed to seamlessly fit into the kitchen range opening without side gaps. No more dripping down the oven sides! The front detail which slightly covers the countertop edge makes it appear custom to our kitchen. But, the best part is how it cooks! Other reviewers complain about the “loud” convection oven fan. Well, if that fan is “loud” my hearing must be shot. The Whirlpool convection microwave which sits above my Bosch Range, is 3 times louder. The Bosch convection oven is very quiet in comparison.Since receiving my Bosch range I have used several cooking modes with great success: bake, multi bake, convection roast and convection bake. The oven is so well designed and insulated that all my dishes on the different modes were evenly cooked and delicious. The cooktop also performed. I have tried all the burners and even the warm feature. Alas, I have yet to use the warming drawer. However, based on everything else I tried, I am confident that the warming drawer will be fantastic.I recommend you read the oven instructions to get the most out of this beautiful range. When using the cooktop be careful not to slide pots and pans over the burners. Make sure the outside of all pots and pans are clean, dry, and flat. This will save the glass cooktop from scratches. And note, all glass cooktops are susceptible to scratches. The Bosch Instruction Manual also gives cookware tips which are worth trying. I bought flat cookie sheets (no sides) as suggested by Bosch. My cookies came out of the oven perfect and delicious. When shopping for a new range don’t overlook this Bosch appliance. However, be aware you must carefully measure your oven opening to get a great, custom fit. If you are building a new kitchen, request your contractor build the space to perfectly accommodate your new range. You will love the look and love your new Bosch Range! Oh and did I mention the stainless steel resists fingerprints? Just one more reason why I love my new range!

Our Bosch fridge/freezer is less than four years old, yet the handles both top and bottom developed cracks and then sheared off. Bosch was not interested as they said out of guarantee. Their resolution was to purchase replacements. I thought that one should expect a decent amount of time using an appliance before it broke like a cheap toy. Bosch appliances are not cheap to buy. I have never had this happen before as we keep our white goods for a very long time and they wear out mechanically. One expects an item to be fit for use and this does not come under that category. The people I spoke to said a manager would phone me back within 3 hours. That was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing from them. We recently purchased a new dishwasher in mid 2015 (SHX68T55UC 24 800 series built in) and it is built super flimsy and has given us problems on multiple occasions. I was getting tired of troubleshooting and recently it just stopped working altogether. I contacted Bosch customer service and basically they said sorry not on warranty anymore. It will cost you $125 for a service call + $30 for every 15 minutes of labor + parts. This is just wrong. I could not be more disappointed with the quality and service of Bosch. Purchased Bosch dishwasher (Dishwasher SHX68T55uc/01) from Lowe’s - came without plug to connect to power. Was told several times by Bosch customer service that the power cord was an option. The power cord has a special plug associated with it so it cannot be connected to power without the special cord. Also the rubber gasket on the side of the unit was pinched in the door and had taken an improper set which interfered with the door seal. Bosch said since this was a floor model that it was purchased as is. I also received a sound deadening device with the unit that Bosch denies belongs to them. I bought my 800 series Bosch dishwasher a year and a half ago and while there were some bumps because I bought a used one from the Sears Discount Center the representatives were very prompt about repairing and then replacing my defective machine. Now that I have a functioning dishwasher it is not only my very favorite appliance of my house, it is one of my most beloved possessions. There are 10 people in my family and we are able to stack in a huge amount of dishes because the spacing of the racks are so well designed and the additional 3rd rack is able to accommodate all of the silverware. I have never had such clean dishes with so little pre-cleansing before I put the dishes in. There are times that still needs servicing due to the hard water in Arizona but once it is cleaned I am once again left with immaculately clean dishes every time, including my Bosch mixer which I can put in encrusted with dried bread dough and pots and pans. I am very disappointed to hear all of these awful reviews when truly it is the best appliance I have ever owned. All of my friends who have Bosch dishwashers feel the same way I do. There is no reason to buy any other brand. Do not let these bad experiences scare you away from a truly miraculous piece of equipment.

Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 20
Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 2016. 20 minutes into initial clean cycle E:15 code appears on display with drain pump running continuously. Called Bosch customer service and was told this indicates an internal water leak. Bosch provided 3 phone numbers for local service technicians and told me I would need to schedule a repair appointment because Bosch customer service was too busy taking other calls. Earliest appointment was 1 week out. Bosch factory certified technician confirmed internal water leak and after 1 hour of troubleshooting determined the distribution/circulation pump seal needs to be replaced. The new part (which retails for less than $2.00) will take 3-5 business days to arrive and then a follow-up appointment can be scheduled to install the new part.Based on the other reviews Ive read, I am skeptical that this will solve the problem. The other observation during the initial clean cycle was that while the unit was draining, a large amount of black debris seemed to be discharging through the drain hose. I am wondering if this is the mold problem Ive read in some of the other complaints/reviews. The drain hose is almost clear so it was easy to see the darker looking debris. After a couple of drain cycles, the discharge water was free of black debris. I understand the units are tested in the factory before being packed up for shipment so a small amount of water in the bottom of the pump is normal but why the mold? When I mentioned this to the Bosch customer service representative I was told that they had never heard of such a thing before (really?!).Why didnt the factory test detect the leak problem? If it did, was a decision made to go ahead and ship a defective unit out anyway? I have an older Bosch dishwasher (purchased in 2008) that never had problems like this. My mother always comments on how quiet it runs when she visits. It would appear Bosch has significant quality control issues on the assembly line and perhaps throughout the entire enterprise that need to be addressed. Customer service is basically constrained to follow a script that seems to weigh heavily in favor of the corporations bottom line and not the end user. I will be loath to recommend Bosch products to anyone until these systemic problems are rectified. This could be the undoing of what was once revered as a solid company as consumers find better products from other vendors. It looks like my mother just wasted $700 on a flawed product and instead has bought into the additional frustration of chasing warranty claims. I should mention that I own a now discontinued front loading Bosch clothes washing machine that recently was involved in a class action settlement (you might have guessed, for mold problems) for which I received a check in the amount of $55. That amount does not cover the cost of a new front door seal that breeds black mold every 12 months or so requiring replacement. I am on my 3rd door seal in 3 years of use. The first replacement was under warranty. The second replacement was at my expense (~$85 plus shipping plus an hour of my time to install it!).

I have had a Bosch microwave oven for a year and a half. In that time, it has broken down twice! The first time, Bosch repaired under warranty with no problems. The second complaint, they set up a warranty service call a week out from my reporting it failed. Repair date came and went. They said they were overbooked, but would be happy to put us on the list in a week from now. I asked to be put next in line and they said, We cant inconvenience our customers like that. Im not sure what that makes me! We paid a lot of money for that microwave! I will never buy another Bosch product and will discourage everyone I know from purchasing a Bosch!

Does a good job cleaning dishes. Its quiet and has plenty of adjustments to accommodate different size dishes, pots and pans. The most annoying thing is starting the washer cycle. You must press the start button for the EXACT length of time or it wont start. Hold it too long (more than about 1.5-2 seconds) it wont start, hold it for less than 1 second, it wont start. Over the past few years Ive gotten the timing correct so that it starts about half the time without trying a second or third or fourth time. (Gets very frustrating at times and you feel like punching the damn thing). Also, the door handle trim broke not long after getting this unit. Thats annoying but not worth fixing.

When we remodeled our kitchen we bought all new Bosch appliances. Refrigerator needed service after 2 months of use. Circuit board needed to be replaced. Bosch refused to pay for spoiled food. Ice maker never worked right. Repair tech said we use too much ice. Microwave blew up after 2 years. Unit was replaced by Bosch but does not match the rest of my appliances. Instructed not to use the metal rack that comes with the microwave.Dishwasher needed a service call because it was making excessive noise after 3 years of use. Now, while cooking a Christmas roast, the inner glass of my 4 year old oven exploded after the oven was turned off. Glass all over the kitchen. We were stuck with a $200 repair bill. Service tech instructed us not to use the self clean feature. My husband and I are in our 60s and the appliances are not overly used. I have had more repairmen in my house in the past 4 years than I have had in 41 yrs of marriage. Bosch appliances are very expensive, overrated, and unreliable.

The online registration doesnt work. So I wasted about half an hour trying it several times and calling the help center. How frustrating! Then I find out that you cant call anyone for help with online registration or to let them know it doesnt work. To make things worse, I asked not to get ads and information in my email account, but I started getting it immediately from a no-reply address with no unsubscribe capability. I havent even tried using the dishwasher yet, but so far Bosch has blown it.

When searching for kitchen appliances during a recent, major kitchen remodel, we decided on Bosch which turned out to be a very poor decision! Two convection ovens, gas cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, and vent hood. After being in service for less than 2 years, both the dishwasher and microwave have required major parts replacement. Dont fall for the hype!

Unfortunately I am one of those that got no help from Bosch. They said there is nothing they can do and that I would have to pay $99 for them to send someone out. And that only covers the first 18 minutes of diagnostics. From there it was $120/hr. This microwave is part of an oven combo unit that cost over $2200 so it is not as simple as just replacing the microwave either. Thought I was getting a high end product but I guess not. Beware of Bosch less you find yourself hoping you win the customer service lottery of whether they choose to help you or not. BTW, this unit is only 26 months old.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago because we wanted a quiet dishwasher. Bosch delivered on the quiet but not on the dishwasher part. We have a quiet machine that gets our dishes wet but does a very poor job of removing food residue. We basically have to prewash the dishes before putting them into the Bosch.

This is one of the items that exemplifies the saying, you get what you pay for. I could never bring myself to pay more than $400 to $450 for a dishwasher. When we remodeled our kitchen, we decided to research and upgrade to higher end appliances. The Bosch was highly rated. Its so quiet, we have to make a serious effort to hear if its running when we are standing right next to it. Looks great and appears very well made.

Bosch hot water heater GHW 1600 H - After my hot water heater stopped working, I called support system. I received an absolutely no help from your service. The lady was only concerned about if I was certified to work on my own personal equipment that I bought from your company. I am very knowledgeable about the electrical and mechanical equipment; I am a machinist over 40 some years. She advised me that I had to have a service tech call her to get the information off of her. You cant even find a park to replace the equipment that I have. What piss poor support. I will never buy another product from Bosch.

I purchased this dryer and washer combo because I needed a compact wd set, I actually purchased 2 sets. I'll number my points of why I like/dislike this dryer. 1) It was annoying to have my electrician had to put in a 4 prong outlet. It costs more money than I wanted to spend 2) I had no idea this thing was going to drain onto my floor (it was my error, I was so eager to dry clothes after hanging it outside all summer to dry, so I just ran the load to dry making my floor wet by simply plugging and playing. 3) THIS TAKES FOREVER TO DRY. But it was SO WORTH IT not ironing or finding all my clothes bone dried and wrinkled. I finally caught on the trick of putting it running a longer time and not overloading it. I actually enjoy doing laundry more because folding wrinkle-free clothes and hanging up wrinkle-free clothes was a godsend in my family of 6. I am just happy I purchased 2. Now I can dry clothes and do all my laundry at once. I strongly dislike dirty laundry so so so much. 4) It's Ventless! COME ON NOW, no hole in your wall that you have to cover with foundation plantings that end up burning up and full of lint? THAT'S AN A+++++ in my book. My last dryer was a vented dryer from Bosch, and that thing was ok not awesome because of the wrinkles but the lint buildup was significant all over the duct. I couldn't sleep at night if I knew the dryer was running because I was terrified of a risk of fire. 5) The clothes come out soft, fluffy and light. Like not hard, crispy and extremely, extremely dry. Its just a perfect dryness. 6) The room is warm because of the vent. I love this feature in the winter. In the summer, I'm not inside enough to care but my electrician is recommending an exhaust fan. Nah, I'll just open a window. It hasn't bothered me yet. 7) Its awesome, compact size allowed me to hook it up temporarily anywhere- my kitchen, my basement etc during the renovation. Get one, you won't regret it. You'll even feel more European in the process.

Yes, mine is a funny one. Like many others, I have a Bosch Nexx washing machine which was bought on 9/08 for $750.00. The door latch overheated. That is a $50.00 part. After replacing, I found that it had blown the control panel. That is a $400.00 part. Finally, the tally to fix all including labor is $600.00! Isnt that a joke? Ive been telling all my friends this funny joke. For some reason they dont laugh.

Microwave has a lot of space. You can pretty much fit an entire chicken if you wanted to with plenty of leftover space. It has plenty of power. I did however found that the popcorn feature leaves a several more kettle corn un-pop compare to my old microwave. The fan pushes a lot of air when cooking which is a nice feature since my old microwave did not have enough power to push all air out.

I had a Bosch refrigerator for many years and was very happy. I recently had to renew the fridge and opted to buy Bosch again, however I am very disappointed in the new design. Shelves are not the right distance apart (not allowing the stacking of such things as 2 yogurt pots) thus wasting lots of space, putting a huge draw in place of a door shelf, door shelves with a cover, the freezer is much smaller than the previous even though the external dimensions are the same. The new fridge makes lots of squeaking noises. Your designers are IDIOTS. I will be looking at another manufacturer when I change this fridge.

You know the commercial, if you have to rinse the dishes what does a dishwasher do? Well, that’s this dishwasher. It takes just over 2 hours to do a normal cycle and still I’m rewashing by hand. I thought it maybe the detergent I use so switched, nope. I wish I stayed with my OLD Maytag! I gave it 2 stars because it is very quiet. Nexxt Dryer Model No. WTMC3300US-01 - We bought this dryer new in 2004, and it worked wonderfully. After we owned it for about 7 years, the dryer started to make a harsh grating grinding noise. We immediately stopped it. When I opened the back of the dryer, it was clear the motor retainer clip had slipped off the circular end of the motor such that the motor axle could no longer be turned easily which caused the grinding noise. I remounted the axle and retaining spring and the dryer worked correctly until about 2 weeks later it happened again. I repaired it again. A month later the same thing. After about 10 iterations of this, I ordered a new retainer clip thinking that the clip had lost its retaining ability. After 3 months, the retainer clip slipped and I repaired it again. I thought Bosch made better stuff than this.

My rented townhouse has a Bosch dishwasher and it cleans the poorest of any dishwasher I have ever had. After three months, it simply stopped working. The Bosch washer and dryer are okay--but just okay. The washer is the worst cleaning machine I have had for a front loader and it is also the first washer I have ever had that smells horribly unless one uses a cleaner in it weekly and unless uses almost no laundry detergent and unless one washes with at least warm water usually. Horrible really. The dryer doesnt have enough options and I have to dry delicate things on regular or they dry incredibly slowly, which results in too much wear. In my opinion, Bosch is very overrated.

I moved into a condo last April and the drum is already broken on the dryer. Theres clearly no user error involved, but Bosch is charging me $400 to fix it because they only support their products for 12 months. If you are considering buying a Bosch fridge freezer, be aware that they have chosen to design the light fitting for the cold water/ice dispenser so that you have to buy a complete replacement module and pay for them to visit your home to fit. Likely cost of all this will easily exceed £200/$300 - just to change a light! Ours lasted less than 3 years, so this would be an expensive fridge if we paid Bosch every time it failed. Next time, well go for a make that doesnt deliberately design products to make money in scams like this. Hope this helps others to avoid getting ripped-off by Bosch.

DONT BUY A BOSCH DISHWASHER. I purchased my dishwasher April 2016. I am very dissatisfied with it. I always have an odor, dishes dont dry and I have tried every one of the suggestions to have dry dishes and none of them do the job. I rinse my dishes first and I dont wash them everyday since I am alone. Lately I have been getting black mold on mostly the plastic containers. Ive had several different dishwashers over 40 years and this is the first time Im having this problem. It is very quiet. Today I spoke with customer service and was told I should do a rinse everyday because it is very air tight and there is no heating coil. Ive tried the Extra Shine feature which raises the temp to further enhance drying results. Well, it doesnt work. If I have a dinner party and need to wash more than one load, I have to dry the dishes. The best dishwasher I had was the KitchenAid which I want again. I have a service man coming out to have him smell the odor. I had to throw away wooden spoons, covered with black mold, washed and stayed black. The only thing about this dishwasher is its quietness. I would gladly have a noisy one that works fine. Another thing, it takes 2 hours or more to complete a cycle.

If negative stars were possible they have sincerely earned it. We spent nearly 11,000 dollars in appliances and the combination wall oven microwave has never worked correctly. Bosch has tried and failed to fix the appliance three times. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Bosch, most of it on hold, trying to rectify this situation. I have asked for assistance to get the appliances replaced to no avail. On 1/3/18 they came and fixed the appliance for the third time. This fix was to replace the touch panel because the second trip to the house the technician replaced it with the wrong touch panel. When that technician was questioned about it he said, “That’s the right one for your oven” instead of holding the two next to each other to determine that it was in fact the wrong one. Then a different technician came to replace that touch panel with the correct one. That one, on the first use came up with fault codes saying that the electrical was too hot. Ten minutes later another code came on that says communication error now the oven won’t come on at all. I called to request that the appliances be taken out of my house and explained to them my concerns of faulty wiring. I also told them of my concerns of fire hazard and having my newly built home burned down. The representative told me that it needed to go to management and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I was not contacted and after 72 hours I called them back to find out the first representative didn’t even send my file to management. I explained the situation and was told that it would have to go to management. I then asked to be transferred to management because I had no faith that I would be contacted. I was finally transferred to an “escalation manager” who was unable to help me and she transferred me to the “escalation supervisor” named Shawn. Shawn then explained to me that they would never refund my money for the appliances and that I was stuck them, but they might be able to replace the oven. I had already been told by two representatives that refunding the appliances was a possibility only to be told by this extremely unprofessional representative named Shawn that was not an option. He then told me it would have to go to management and I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I cannot stress enough my displeasure with everything about Bosch most of all by their customer service. They are absolutely one hundred percent unprofessional hacks that will never get my business again. I will never buy anything with a Bosch affiliation again. Horrible company, horrible employees, and horrible products. Save yourself from this overpriced trash.
