I had purchased Bosch washing machine (Model No. WAK24168IN/03) on 06/12/2015. On 03-02-2016, I found the washing machine throwing E-18 and stopped working. Immediately, I called the customer care and registered complaint and they provided technician within 2 days. Technician informed us that drain pump got damaged and needs to be replaced with a new pump which will be fixed on 08-02-2016. From that day to till date, we had no information on the status from Service Center. We kept calling several times and asking the update on the status. They simply gave some stupid reasons and kept ignoring our calls. Finally, they gave us the number (**) of senior authority from Bosch Services who had kept awaiting us by telling that he will call and update on the status, and kept postponing the dates without giving any info on the status.I have lost my patience following up the poor and reckless customer service, as it wasted my time as well as money on the name of the brand just for a spare part. If this is the situation of service in the warranty period, then I just cant imagine what will it be after that period. I also pity on customer service who cannot give any information on the address of their Service Center. Washing machine is a very important home appliance in a daily life and we cannot waste any more time on following up people from one side with no response on the opposite side which delayed and disturbed routine planned schedule. Hence, I request you to refund the money or to do the service as quick as possible since it is already one month with no update on the status from the Service Center either through mail/phone.

Put dishes in dirty and they come out perfectly clean – no little Klingon bits... Various load sizes to choose from, hard water salt container, utensil tray on top shelf for cutlery. 3 levels top for cutlery, middle for glasses and cups, bottom for dishes and pans. Stainless steel with controls hidden on top of door but a progress display just above handle. Bosch makes various dishwashers. Make sure you buy the model that is BUILT IN GERMANY.

We bought the TOP of the line SHEM78WH5N dishwasher thinking that it is Bosch what could go wrong? Since day 1, this dishwasher has had the SAME issue, it drains at the beginning on the cycle and then mid cycle ALWAYS gives the same issue “error: cannot drain”. Customer service kept just pushing us until warranty is over and now say, Sorry we cannot help. Extremely terrible experience for a $2000 dishwasher.

Does a great job. Very pleased from the towels to the farm clothes grease and grime the machine cleans well. We live on a farm and the water use was a big selling point for me, it was great not having the constant worries thru the drought. The shorter cycles on the machine is what I use most, the more grime the more time for washing. I have had big top loader machines all along when our 4 children were growing up but now with mainly 2 to 4 adults and some times the grandbabies its perfect.A friend recommended the brand, I had people say they werent happy with the front loaders. I decided to pay for the expensive machine, but spare parts expensive. We broke the latch on the door and a new one was $400.00.That was a shock. My son made a high frame to it on for ease of access. No bending for me which is great and a must.

Bosch is known for being quiet. That is very important in homes with open floor plans. I have a large center island where the back of the dishwasher is facing a living space. Because it is only about 58 db, it is practically impossible to hear it running. Furthermore, the end of cycle chime is necessary to know when to empty it. The soil sensor seems to work quite well as it will only run as long as there are soiled dishes. The water temperature gets quite hot, so I know unwanted bacteria is eliminated. Dishes always come out squeaky clean. I love the half load cycle and use it frequently. The energy and water usage is very low. I think that most people who own dishwashers think that the whole unit fills with water each time they run a cycle, and so they are reluctant to run the dishwasher. Many folks, unknowingly, use MORE water by doing dishes by hand than they would have done if they had put them on the proper cycle in the dishwasher. If the owner would read the specifications of actual water usage, they would be surprised how little water a full load uses in comparison to rinsing dishes before placing them in. I also like the fact that I can put delicate items, such as crystal and fine china, and know that nothing is going to come out damaged or cracked. The size of most regular household units will fit into a standard 24 wide lower cabinet. I also think the capacity and overall arrangement of the racks gives quite a bit of flexibility, as no two loads contain the same collection of dishes to be washed to be washed at the same time. This particular unit has a very low-profile handle and doesnt interfere with todays contemporary, clean lines in the kitchen. The handle is sturdy and feels secure. My unit is a nice grade of stainless steel, not a thin gauge that would tend to dent easily. The interior is also a food-grade stainless steel that doesnt collect unwanted odors or corrosion from the soap. If you opt for Bosch, you dont have to get a really expensive, high-end model since they are all extremely quiet and easy to use. Bosch also, in my opinion, exudes an element of high quality, even if its a low-end model. Generally, the higher end machines have options and features that most owners rarely use. I believe that Bosch is a good choice for a discriminating buyer who doesnt necessarily have a huge budget, but wants a beautiful, efficient machine that will last a long time. It is a work-horse that will bring compliments from friends and family for years to come as they have a 25 year warranty on their products.

My children and I nearly lost our lives 3 nights ago in a fire. I went to bed after turning on my premium Bosch dishwasher. I am deaf in one ear. I went to sleep and heard/smelled nothing. Suddenly my 12 year-old daughter came running into my room yelling that there was a fire in the kitchen. I ran down and saw 3 foot flames coming out of the dishwasher. Thank god I had a fire extinguisher, which I had taught myself to use after seeing a Dateline story years ago that most Americans who have extinguishers dont know how to use them. We are now displaced temporarily from our apartment for at least 2-3 weeks during clean-up and without a kitchen for 3-4 months. If one more minute had passed, I would not have been able to reach the extinguisher on the counter and would have lost everything. If my daughter had not been so alert or there, I/we would have died. What makes me angry is that Bosch KNOWS these dishwashers may catch on fire. There is a voluntary recall posted deep in their site for models from 1999-2005 for a very rare ability to inflame. They have made little effort to contact consumers directly. If you google, you will see that the international news media is starting to notice.

I tried for 15 minutes to push the off button which may not be the actual off button because it says clean on it as well. But, there are no other buttons that say off. I tried changing settings. I couldnt unplug it because the wire was not reachable. I looked up the manual online, still nothing helped. Finally, I shut off the fuses to the kitchen. Now its off. Lol. Personally, Id only buy nondigital appliances. This oven is Dangerous! Dont waste your money. My $40 toaster oven is better!

I have a fully equipped kitchen of brand new Bosch appliances. I started using them in April of 2019. In early November of that year, a small part on the lower freezer drawer broke off. This is the main freezer. I called Bosch service directly to schedule the repair. I was told that they contract their service out and that they only had two service companies in the entire San Diego county area, a HUGE area. Only one of these service companies was willing to come out and take look. The serviceman came out but did not have the part needed. He ordered it from Bosch. I heard nothing for 3 months. When I called Bosch in February 2020, still no part available. Now May, I called again and was told that the part was still not available and was “probably” coming from China and in fact may be discontinued altogether. I was told there was nothing they could do and that they will TRY and call IF it comes in. Wow. Beware! Choose appliances that have better service available and customer care in place.

My father purchased a Bosch tankless water heater about 18 months ago. He had a professional plumber install the tank to the specifications that the factory mandates. The unit never did work properly. After hours on the phone with tech support listening to every reason in the book why it wasn't "their" fault , and hundreds if not thousands of dollars spent on a plumber they still will not honor their warranty and replace the unit. The problem with the unit is that whenever you turn on the cold water to make the water warm instead of scalding, the heater shuts off completely leaving you with ice cold water. The factory techs tell us that there is not enough water coming into the unit. Ok easy fix right "just tell us how much water is required". O wait the "tech" isn't allowed to suggest anything like that. My father is so frustrated he wants to take the unit outside and shoot it with a rifle. If there is a class action we want in!!!!!! Because of good reviews we purchased our first Bosch. We were told how durable and outstanding they were. A one year warranty was given with the purchase. After 3 months we had problems with the control panel. Then the pump malfunctioned and a new pump was installed. Within this year we have had more water in the bottom and not pumping out. Called Bosch and they had their certified tech....hmmmm who made three appointments and never showed up. Then when he came it was for a whole five minutes to say we needed a new pump. Three weeks later he came and installed a new pump and was there a few minutes, never checking the complete cycle. It still doesnt drain out, so we called our own tech and he informs us that it is now a complete computer board. Oh we also have had to have our racks replaced as they rusted. Then the new racks dont match and dont have a track to stop the dishes from rolling out. We are through and have made a whole family pledge, never again a Bosch… dump Bosch from our lives and buy American who treats their customers with respect.

Our Bosch fridge/freezer is less than four years old, yet the handles both top and bottom developed cracks and then sheared off. Bosch was not interested as they said out of guarantee. Their resolution was to purchase replacements. I thought that one should expect a decent amount of time using an appliance before it broke like a cheap toy. Bosch appliances are not cheap to buy. I have never had this happen before as we keep our white goods for a very long time and they wear out mechanically. One expects an item to be fit for use and this does not come under that category. The people I spoke to said a manager would phone me back within 3 hours. That was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing from them. If they care so little for their customers, I would suggest not buying a Bosch item.

WALL OVEN: I bought Bosch Benchmark appliances for my home. I am now on the 4th repair for the wall oven (exact same problem all 4 times) in a year and still Bosch hasnt figured out theres a problem with this oven. All 4 times when the oven stopped working I was without the use of my oven for 20-25 days waiting for repairmen, parts or be ordered, etc. 80 days in total so far in less than a year that I have not had the use of my oven, and counting. AND to make matters worse, the only time I use this oven is when I have guests, the rest of the time for myself and my husband to make small meals we use the smaller speed oven. So, 4 times in less than a year there has been multiple guests in my home for dinner parties, and the oven has stopped working. Add all those people up and youll see how many people have walked away with a bad opinion about Bosch appliances. Not to mention that at each dinner, because my oven stopped working, I had to resort to ordering in for my guests and all the fresh fish and chicken etc that I had bought to prepare for my guests had to be frozen because I knew Id be without my oven for another 20-25 days before I could bake it.SPEED OVEN: I also have the Bosch benchmark speed oven, that too has had one repair in less than 6 months of being installed, same problem as what I had on the wall oven. Thankfully the speed oven got repaired and seems to have been working fine ever since (knock on wood). COOKTOP: I also have a Bosch induction cooktop. No problems as of yet with that. Im keeping my fingers crossed but Im scared to death because my trust in Bosch is so very low.I have told everyone that comes in my home and raves about my gorgeous kitchen renovation DO NOT EVER BUY BOSCH. And most of them have seen it first hand now how bad the appliances are because theyve all been at my home at one time or another in the past year and seen the oven fail in front of their own eyes. So Ive got lots of witnesses and sadly Bosch has lots of people who know to never buy their appliances. 2 of the families who were at my house in the past year and saw the wall oven stop working, have now done their own kitchen renovations and both of them made a choice NOT to buy Bosch because they said they would not take the chance seeing all the problem I had with mine.I have kept a detailed journal of all my repairs, dates, time, conversations, videos, etc. Because I am fairly certain that I will end up suing the retailer and/or Bosch for breach of warranty/contract and for not disclosing material facts prior to my purchase. But because its still under extended warranty Im going to keep letting them repair it as many times as they want, and I will keep my journal and history so that shortly before the warranty wears out I will then sue and force them to give me a full refund... I cannot accept a replacement oven because Bosch does not have another wall oven that could be installed in my kitchen without me doing a kitchen reno again (which is not going to happen).

I have had my Bosch dishwasher for two years now. Last October (after having it for 14 months) I finally figured out what was on my dishes when I removed them from the dishwasher after running them through the cycle. IT WAS MOLD. I called Bosch, I wrote to Bosch - finally they agreed to send someone out to check out my dishwasher for which I would be responsible for paying the service fee. At first I agreed and then phoned them back and said I would not pay it as I felt the dishwasher was still considered new. They did eventually send someone out - a 19 year old boy who walked into the house knowing what my problem was. He said this happens a lot because people dont bother to clean out the food trap at the bottom of the dishwasher and the accumulating food is causing the mold. Hmmm. Well, he took my dishwasher apart and surprise! There was nothing in the trap. I did not bother to tell him that I thoroughly rinse all the dishes/silver before placing it in the dishwasher. He did not know what to say so he just said he would get back in touch with Bosch. He said possible it needed a new control board. Well after going back and forth with Bosch - and tossing out ALL my dishes, silver and glassware due to it being infected with the black mold - I was told to run it through a clean cycle using a solution. I did this and was afraid to use my dishwasher in case it came back... Well, this morning when I unloaded the dishwasher - ITS BACK! Im not even going to try again - I will go out this weekend and buy a different brand. Now my microwave that I bought at the same time - has gotten steam under the glass on the front door for the longest time. Noticed a few months ago that the plastic around the outside of the window is cracked in two places. Will I ever purchase another Bosch appliance? NEVER!

We bought our unit in February and had it installed in March, a month later. But the microwave component did not work from Day 1!!! We called the warranty support line and was given several repair shops to call. Some would not serve our area as we are out of the city. The third one on their list came out in April and verified that the unit was not working and needed two new parts. Upon returning to the shop, he confirmed that they would have to be ordered. Four weeks later, after hearing nothing, we called to find that the parts were not yet in. Less than a week later, now late in May, they arrived. They were installed and the unit worked on June 9th. If negative stars were possible they have sincerely earned it. We spent nearly 11,000 dollars in appliances and the combination wall oven microwave has never worked correctly. Bosch has tried and failed to fix the appliance three times. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Bosch, most of it on hold, trying to rectify this situation. I have asked for assistance to get the appliances replaced to no avail. On 1/3/18 they came and fixed the appliance for the third time. This fix was to replace the touch panel because the second trip to the house the technician replaced it with the wrong touch panel. When that technician was questioned about it he said, “That’s the right one for your oven” instead of holding the two next to each other to determine that it was in fact the wrong one. Then a different technician came to replace that touch panel with the correct one. That one, on the first use came up with fault codes saying that the electrical was too hot. Ten minutes later another code came on that says communication error now the oven won’t come on at all. I called to request that the appliances be taken out of my house and explained to them my concerns of faulty wiring. I also told them of my concerns of fire hazard and having my newly built home burned down. The representative told me that it needed to go to management and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I was not contacted and after 72 hours I called them back to find out the first representative didn’t even send my file to management. I explained the situation and was told that it would have to go to management. I then asked to be transferred to management because I had no faith that I would be contacted. I was finally transferred to an “escalation manager” who was unable to help me and she transferred me to the “escalation supervisor” named Shawn. Shawn then explained to me that they would never refund my money for the appliances and that I was stuck them, but they might be able to replace the oven. I had already been told by two representatives that refunding the appliances was a possibility only to be told by this extremely unprofessional representative named Shawn that was not an option. He then told me it would have to go to management and I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I cannot stress enough my displeasure with everything about Bosch most of all by their customer service. They are absolutely one hundred percent unprofessional hacks that will never get my business again. I will never buy anything with a Bosch affiliation again. Horrible company, horrible employees, and horrible products. Save yourself from this overpriced trash.

The only compensation that Bosch would offer us is 40% off another dishwasher if we order it through their website. Purchase Bosch Refrigerator B22CT80SNS. Did not work out of box. Repairman added coolant and worked for about 10 days. When refrigerator quit cooling repairman determined coolant leak inside of refrigerator and non-repairable and Bosch was to replace. When I called them in a week to see why I had not heard anything they said that they were no longer making that model and had no comparable model to give me so would in 4 to 6 weeks come out and pickup non-working new refrigerator and issue me a refund check. Of course by that time will have been without a working refrigerator for over 2 months. Also, I had a kitchen remodel done based on all new Bosch appliances, two of which had cosmetic damage in addition to non-working refrigerator upon delivery. So now even though Bosch cannot provide me with a refrigerator, I have other Bosch products that they will not take back so after a $50,000 plus kitchen renovation I will have mixed brands of appliances in my Kitchen with un-matching handles/hardware. I asked if Bosch would just take all of their appliance back and provide refund and I could start over with a brand that could provide a working refrigerator of course they refused. Purchased new Bosch dishwasher from Lowes. Took 2 weeks to be delivered from the Lowes warehouse. When installed by the Lowes plumbers, the panel showed electrical errors. The installers called Bosch Service, service person could only say it must be installed incorrectly. Lowes replaced. Did not know you had to clean the dishes before loading the dishwasher. After the first load, water stands in the bottom of the dishwasher and stinks. Cleaned as recommended by the owners manual. I did not know you would have to wipe the insides down also. Water still stands and stinks. We thought Bosch was an excellent product until now.

After only 24 months our convection microwave was chronically broken, even after four repairs, for the SAME problem! On the last repair the Bosch technician told me the problem is the design of the door and the micro switches. The local Bosch is no help and they just keep sending out techs to fix the same problem. Each time we had to wait many weeks to get an appointment, so the outcome is that in the past 4 years our oven has not worked for 7 months!

The compressor on our Bosch refrigerator seized after just 7 years. The cost to repair was more than we paid for our new refrigerator - NOT a Bosch, a Frigidaire Gallery. I bought a washer & dryer and paid more than usual expecting a great quality product. To my dismay the washer completely broke down (meaning the repairman said the only thing that did not need replacing was the shell of the washer). The washer turned 5 yrs old 10/15. I purchased the 4 yr extended warranty, so it had expired. There is only my daughter and myself, so my laundry is light. When I contacted Bosch they put me off for a month before reviewing my file and then today they said the best they could do for me was give me a 20% discount on Bosch parts! The Bosch for washer & dryer with stands were $3000. I laughed. I would not recommend anyone ever buy a Bosch product because they do not stand behind it.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher Model SHP65T55US thru Appliance Connections online. The item arrived with no dings, dents to the box - nor on the outside of the dishwasher. It was installed. We were able to use it for approx two weeks and the door all of a sudden wouldnt seal. Called Bosch & they gave us service repair places none of which wanted to repair the dishwasher as according to every single one of them - Bosch does not pay them enough for warranty work. This process took about a month - where Bosch ended up making a deal with one of the repair places to have them come out and repair the door. In the meantime, I took out the top rack & could not get it back in again. So I thought I would let the repairman do it. He came & fixed the door but could not get the rack in. He told us that it is a warranty issue as the top of the dishwasher was bowed. Bosch refuses to admit it is a warranty issue - they said that it is inspected before going out. This was missed by Bosch, by Appliance Connections and by us - until a Boschs Certified repairman informed us that it was a warranty issue. Bosch insists it is a shipping issue - how can that possibly be when it was bowed on the INSIDE... with no dings, dents, scratches, anything on the outside of the dishwasher. Must be a miracle that shipping caused a indentation on the inside. WOW... Really.

I really like the new Bosch dishwasher we purchased. The problem is that the bottom rack flies off the grooves provided for it in the interior door frame when open for loading or unloading. No matter how we try, the rack seems to disengage from the grooves provided. There are no tracking mechanisms, just gravity holding the rack in place, so were wondering what were doing wrong. Has anyone else had this issue and if so... how youve dealt with it. Thanks.

Nexxt Dryer Model No. WTMC3300US-01 - We bought this dryer new in 2004, and it worked wonderfully. After we owned it for about 7 years, the dryer started to make a harsh grating grinding noise. We immediately stopped it. When I opened the back of the dryer, it was clear the motor retainer clip had slipped off the circular end of the motor such that the motor axle could no longer be turned easily which caused the grinding noise. I remounted the axle and retaining spring and the dryer worked correctly until about 2 weeks later it happened again. I repaired it again. A month later the same thing. After about 10 iterations of this, I ordered a new retainer clip thinking that the clip had lost its retaining ability. After 3 months, the retainer clip slipped and I repaired it again. I thought Bosch made better stuff than this.

We bought our Bosch dishwasher in 2012 because we heard they were the best from the salesman (I think it was because he got a spiff for selling that brand that month). I am sorry to say that the dishwasher is leaking due to a defective valve. Bosch customer service claimed our dishwasher is “old”. They also state that their dishwasher life expectancy is only 10 years now. Hmm. My last KitchenAid dishwasher turned 15 years old when we sold the house and the owner said it went out finally after 20 years. My GE at our other house is still going strong after 14 years. Bosch is not what it use to be and their customer service manager is rude. When a company has it in the back of their head that their appliances are pretty much done at 10 years that says something about their philosophy behind building them. Just saying.

I appreciate that Bosch has very high ratings. We may just be the unlucky ones to get faulty appliances, but our experience has been quite the opposite of high ratings. We remodeled our kitchen 5 years ago. We bought all Bosch appliances: refrigerator, built-in oven, induction stove top, microwave, dishwasher. About a year ago (so the appliances were 4 years old), the oven started overheating when we tried to clean the oven or have it on a high bake temperature for more than a few minutes. The oven would shut off and there was an error message on the panel that indicated overheating. We had it checked by the local authorized dealer and made several calls to Bosch. In essence, we were told that it is overheating--thats all! Well, we knew that. This has been going on for a year, and we havent received any solution from phone calls or visits.A few days ago, we tried to clean it again because something spilled in the bottom of the oven. It again overheated and shut down. Today, we were having people over for brunch. We set the oven to Bake with the temp at 400, and put the bacon in. We went back to check the bacon when it should have been done, and the oven and bacon were stone cold! We assumed we had not turned it on properly, so we again hit bake, set the temp to 400, and hit enter. Again, nothing. Our oven is completely dead, and it is just slightly older than 5 years! The oven panel displays all the right settings as if it is heating, but the oven remains cold. Again, with the rave reviews Bosch gets, we expected the oven to last more than 4 years before starting to have problems. As a matter of fact, with the price we paid, along with the reviews, we frankly thought that the oven would outlast us!Now for the refrigerator. Our self-defrost and icemaker have been malfunctioning. Again we called the local authorized dealer/repairmen, who came to look at it. He identified the problem and ordered a part to fix it. That was 4 months ago, and the part to fix it has yet to be shipped to the local dealer/repairmen. So although the problem was identified in August, it is now December and still no solution to our refrigerator. My husband has made several phone calls both to Bosch and to the local number, but to no avail. As you can see, I cannot in good conscience, recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. As a matter of fact, I would highly recommend not to go with Bosch. We have to replace our oven and probably our refrigerator, and we will absolutely not choose Bosch!

I at first liked this washer then several problems. One, the moldy smell inside required the door to be left open to avoid a stench. I got used to that, though constantly had to wipe the gaskets out and clean the inside door and gaskets. Then a couple of years ago, 8 years after I bought it, the housing near the dials developed a small crack. I called customer service and received no satisfaction.I called again in August this year, obtained a file number for my complaint, but they wanted me to get a Bosch repair person and pay them to diagnose the problem, which was evident from the picture below, as a crack. This was not due to operator error or misuse. We are a retired couple, dont take in laundry (!) and it is kept on the first living floor of our heated and air conditioned house. I have seen other complaints of these issues online, so I know were not alone. I wish I had kept my 29 year old Maytag and replaced the pump instead of buying this set. Dont buy Bosch!

My BOSCH DISHWASHER is a lemon. The customer service department is incompetent and their repairman broke the bracket on our handle and said to call and get a new bracket to fix it and left. When we called to get replacement piece we were told we wouldve to pay to fix it because they had no record of it being broken by their repairman. We mailed them our proof with a letter and they offered to pay for the bracket but not the repairman! We purchased a high end Bosch Dishwasher for our new home. Since then we have made over 6 complaints to their inept customer service department. There was also was a recall on this unit after we paid to replace the cord that was defective. On each call they create a new claim number and they act ignorant to the prior complaints. They are masters at avoidance and running the warranty on their appliances. When you do get them to agree to send a repair crew they send incompetent repair personnel. As to the dishwasher it doesnt clean the dishes. The glasses are always spotted and its not the water. If you want your plates clean you must rinse and wipe them before they go into the DW. The utensils have to be washed again after they come out as they have food particles on them. We have a family of 7 and the DW is run all the time. We did not have ours for a month when we called for the first service as it would not drain and the dishes were dirty. This continued to happen and they would always walk you through a series of fixes before they agree to send out the repairman. Their defect product caused a recall on the part that was causing this issue but they did not tell us until we complained after the second service call. During the 3rd or fourth service call the repairman snapped the bracket on the door handle. He said we would need to call and order the part and could not fix it after he broke it. Since then we have made complaints and sent letters to BOSCH about the bracket and the failure of the DW to clean the dishes, glasses and utensils. Their customer service department puts you thru the ringer. After requesting supervisors and no calls back when promised several times it escalated up the ladder only to be told that they would pay for the new bracket - but we had to pay for the repairman time!!! THEY BROKE IT!!! It is unbelievable to me the amount of wasted time (and money) that has been spent. They do not stand by their product... they are awful. BTW, we have owned many Bosch DWs and always recommended them - this is the first time with an issues, and its been awful!!! I will never buy Bosch again due to this!

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a a service tech to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained. I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didnt. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

I bought this oven in Jul 2011. Over the past year the grill filament started to warp. It is now extremely warped and quite dangerous, soon likely to snap, and then the oven will be unusable. This has happened through normal and moderate use of the product. I have contacted Bosch (it took many many emails to get a reply) and they say they dont view it as a product fault or design defect, but as an isolated incident. They wont repair it for free, as I requested, but instead demand around 100 to repair it.I bought a Bosch oven specifically because I wanted a quality product - I paid for the brand name. I expected 10 years of use (my last cooker lasted 20 years) but I get a measly 3 -3.5 years and Bosch think this is reasonable. I dont think thats good quality by a long stretch, and I dont see how or why Bosch should be known for their reliability.

Does a good job cleaning dishes. Its quiet and has plenty of adjustments to accommodate different size dishes, pots and pans. The most annoying thing is starting the washer cycle. You must press the start button for the EXACT length of time or it wont start. Hold it too long (more than about 1.5-2 seconds) it wont start, hold it for less than 1 second, it wont start. Over the past few years Ive gotten the timing correct so that it starts about half the time without trying a second or third or fourth time. I bought my dream kitchen’s appliances all BOSCH on July 8, 2013: the worst decision!!! The microwave does not heat evenly! I use the MW primarily to heat a cup of milk. I set it for one and a half minutes, and what happens? It scorches the top of the milk, to the point it boils over the cup while the bottom of the cup is warm at best. I called their customer service, had a technician come and his response: The MW is working properly... please refer to page X in the user manual where it says to stop the heating midway through and mix the liquid for optimal heating. Really? I think a cheapo MW does better. That is plain wrong! I had never had issues with any other MW... and this is what they say? This is ridiculous. DO NOT BUY BOSCH period. I thought I was making a good decision, but I regret it every day. Having odor issues with an 800 series dishwasher. Stick to GE! It could be all made in China, but at least its a product used by the masses, and as such statistically the number of defects will be very few. And price wise... theyre almost the same.

We went ahead with the purchase and paid high end prices too. Now, less than six years after we bought them, all 3 appliances are malfunctioning. Its so strange - almost like they have a pre-ordained life span from the manufacturer, because they all broke within the same 4 - 6 weeks. We have been trying to get them repaired through Bosch service for over a month and they are dragging their feet and giving us a horrible runaround. When remodeling my kitchen my sister in law told me not to buy a Bosch dishwasher. She dislikes hers. We were buying all other Bosch appliances so we risked it. The dishwasher came unusable. The drum that houses the dishwasher and holds the water in was pierced in manufacture. It took us one month and many phone calls to get a Bosch technician out to tell us it was not repairable and authorize replacement. It then took Bosch 8 weeks to find a new replacement dishwasher and someone to install it. We live in Philadelphia, you could trip over plumbers in our neighborhood. Now it is less than a year since we have the brand new replacement and it no longer works. Waited 2 weeks to get a technician out to tell us that the pump, mother board and one other part have gone bad. Problem is they are not in stock so now we are one month into no working dishwasher (again) and still waiting for repair. Each call to Bosch is at least a 20 minute wait on hold (apparently they have a slew of problems to deal with) and it takes at least 3 phone calls to get anyone out to your house. Just dont do it. The latest update: theyre waiting for parts to arrive from Germany. Buy LG, GE, Sears, whatever, that has a stock of parts in this country. You wont be sorry you did. Bosch is a piece of crap! And... you pay more for it.

We had a long power cut yesterday. My washing machine was working at the time of the power cut. When the power came back on again the machine showed a warning light that indicated there was a problem with the motor. I tried the Bosch website and found a section about self-help and put in the model number - it was not recognised so I contacted Bosch customer service. I explained the problem. They were supremely UNHELPFUL; said I needed an engineer and offered to book one with a £95 call out. I searched online how to reset my Bosch washing machine after a power cut. The instructions were simple and took about 20 seconds to complete. SHAME ON YOU YET AGAIN BOSCH. Previously I had tried to buy new baskets for my Bosch dishwasher but at £126 EACH I did not!!! They are OUTRAGEOUS.

SHX46A05UC/14
SHX46A05UC/14 Dishwasher, 2004, paid $ 1,600.00 Stopped draining water, developed endless cycle, finally started to fill up with the water overflowing to my newly renovated kitchen. The quality of the cleaning was degrading slowly, leaving residues on glass and dishes.Bosch certified service showed up for just over $ 75/h, looking and playing with the washer for 2 hours; diagnosed, well nothing, they check in fact the water drainage path and remover a rubber part from the pump section, saying that I dont need that, and that this was perhaps the cause of the problem. After over $150 for service call, (no parts replaced = no 30 days warranty for the service) !!!... The next day, well, we have exact this same issue, cycle takes hours, no full water drainage. Service call, week later, different technicians, diagnosed for new control unit and quote for over $350. (for $500 I can get new dishwasher today, but my old $1600 unit should work for years - or not). Called Bosch, same response as for all of the people below. They couldnt care less. The Customer service from the service company concluded that I would be better off buying a new unit ! Great, that much about my love for Bosch, and we have the whole kitchen furnished with that junk. After short internet research, I found people helping step by step with similar issues, so I did take apart my unit, opened the controller, and found that it has overheated and damaged connection. No, is not that one under the recall, the recall one must cause house fire I guess! Cleaning the connection and re-soldering it helped, partially, it works now as it use to, but still fills with fresh water after is done, so I have to cut the water intake. Conclusion: I would spend $350 for a new part or service and still have another issue!!! Now, I need to take the intake valve apart to see if this is the real problem. Slowly, I am getting a master degree on Bosch dishwashers, and I promise to never buy one again.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in March 2011. It is model SHE43P25UC/64. The 2 plastic brackets which attach the control panel (also used as the handle) to the door have both cracked. My usage is typical for a household of 2 people so there was no excessive use here. The cracked brackets now cause the control panel to pull away from the front door when the dishwasher is opened.I took the front door panel off by removing the side screws (not the top screws) and I removed the broken brackets by unscrewing them at the tabs. I rough sanded the plastic at the cracks and applied Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bonder (3450 PSI) to the broken tabs and reassembled. I made sure the glued bracket lined up with the screw holes and manually pressed the control panel inward for 10 minutes to set the bonding agent. I then installed the bracket screws loosely and let the unit sit undisturbed for about 12 hours. Then I tightened the screws and reattached the front door panel. Its been 2 weeks and so far it had held in place. Since the Loctite claims to fuse the plastic, Im hoping this will last a while. I had searched the web for this issue and couldnt find a hit so Im posting this here in hopes that someone experiencing a similar issue can find this.

During shifting of house I moved all my household items along with Bosch front loaded 7.5kg washing machine that I purchased just 6 months ago. During re-installation I was told the its motor has come off the drum and it will cost 7500 INR to replace it.. I had warranty but Bosch representative said this item is not under warranty. Also the way Mr ** the service person from Powai Mumbai reacted was terribly upsetting. He kept on saying, You should read the terms and conditions in the manual. I will never buy any Bosch product ever and I would strongly advocate for not purchasing Bosch products to everyone..

If you arent an appliance repair person when you bought a bosch...you will be once you get rid of it. My Bosch dishwasher is 3 years old and has been serviced 5 times. I have had to repair it myself twice and paid hundreds of dollars in repairs by a technician. Its on its second drain pump and I am now ordering the third. I wouldnt recommend buying any bosch products. I am currently investigating purchasing another brand.

For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher. I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting friends for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour. I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into peoples homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

Upon repairing my dishwasher, the repairman punctured/broke a different part than the one he was repairing. The company made no effort whatsoever to repair the damage in a timely manner and did not return for 2 weeks to fix the part he broke. I called the company throughout the process and no support was given. I was shocked by this poor performance. I had heard they are a good company; however I will never purchase anything from Bosch again.

The inside glass on the door of my Bosch wall oven, model HBL57, cracked when I ran the self-clean for the first time. The cycle was on for approximately 15 minutes when I heard a loud pop. Fortunately, the glass was contained to the inside of the oven, but I have lost complete faith in the reliability of this product. I think the self-clean cycles in the wall ovens are fraught with problems. My previous wall oven was a GE and the electronics board gave out during the self-clean cycle, which I why I didnt buy another GE. This type of failure is dangerous and should be taken very seriously by Bosch.

BOSCH SLIDE IN ELECTRIC RANGE. First off the Bosch range is beautiful. It can be described as understated elegance. The range is designed to seamlessly fit into the kitchen range opening without side gaps. No more dripping down the oven sides! The front detail which slightly covers the countertop edge makes it appear custom to our kitchen. But, the best part is how it cooks! Other reviewers complain about the “loud” convection oven fan. Well, if that fan is “loud” my hearing must be shot. The Whirlpool convection microwave which sits above my Bosch Range, is 3 times louder. The Bosch convection oven is very quiet in comparison.Since receiving my Bosch range I have used several cooking modes with great success: bake, multi bake, convection roast and convection bake. The oven is so well designed and insulated that all my dishes on the different modes were evenly cooked and delicious. The cooktop also performed. I have tried all the burners and even the warm feature. Alas, I have yet to use the warming drawer. However, based on everything else I tried, I am confident that the warming drawer will be fantastic.I recommend you read the oven instructions to get the most out of this beautiful range. When using the cooktop be careful not to slide pots and pans over the burners. Make sure the outside of all pots and pans are clean, dry, and flat. This will save the glass cooktop from scratches. And note, all glass cooktops are susceptible to scratches. The Bosch Instruction Manual also gives cookware tips which are worth trying. I bought flat cookie sheets (no sides) as suggested by Bosch. My cookies came out of the oven perfect and delicious. When shopping for a new range don’t overlook this Bosch appliance. However, be aware you must carefully measure your oven opening to get a great, custom fit. If you are building a new kitchen, request your contractor build the space to perfectly accommodate your new range. You will love the look and love your new Bosch Range! Oh and did I mention the stainless steel resists fingerprints? Just one more reason why I love my new range!

Friends please do not go for Bosch brand front load washing machine. I made wrong decisions in buying Bosch washing machine. I bought it on 6/7/2016 for 25k and it is stopped working now as on 25/9/2018 in just 2 years and 2 months. Warranty period is 2 years. Service person visited the site on 1/10/2018 and inspected the machine and told drum and gasket has gone and needs to be replaced. The cost for replacement as they told first is 11800. After discussion with Bosch higher officials they have given 50% discount and now the cost I need to pay is around 6000. Investing 6000 in 2 years for service is not a small amount. People buy the product by trusting brand and my kind request to Bosch is do not sell this type of cheap quality products to consumers. My kind request to consumers is if you want to buy washing machine please do not go for Bosch which is designed to work only for warranty period I think.

This product hasnt worked since day one. Customer service run around. (just one year) on a product that never worked to begin with. We bought extended warranty, still claims they take no responsibility and point blame to store bought from. Bosch delays all service calls for multiple weeks before coming and when the product broke 2 days after being fixed (supposedly), We had to wait again. They conveniently wont replace and then want no responsibility. This is the only review I have ever written and sadly I am unable to use my oven at all. This is very difficult as I have a family. 3,000 dollars is a lot of money to have a decorative storage unit. Please go with another company that will respect the consumer. I honestly dont know how this company is in business as we were dealing with the senior customer service representative, Courtney **, who completely disregarded the fact that this product was dysfunctional since day one. This company needs to reevaluate customer service and acknowledge that sometimes a product is faulty and you as a business need to stand behind your product.

We bought the Bosch Nexxt 100 Series Washer and Dryer about 5 years ago from Lowes. For the last 4 years we have had nothing but problems. First the washer. I kept ending up with cut marks in things. Almost like someone was murdering my sheets and clothes with a knife. They had perfect cut marks. Bosch offered no advice on what the issue was.Second the dryer. The dryer has been by far the BIGGEST headache! The first issue was that it would work but wouldnt heat up. Bosch told me to remove the back panel and the 20+ screws, shove my hand in there and find a TINY reset button. Ok, fine. FOUND IT! Reset! But then I kept having to reset it every week. Then a couple days ago I tossed in a small load of laundry and almost instantly started smelling something burning. So I open the dryer and I have flames between the back of the dryer drum and back panel. Not the most ideal place to have a FIRE! Not easy to tip a dryer backwards with a pitcher of water in hand trying to throw enough into small holes to put out a fire. BOSCH tells me Lint makes its way to the back of the drum, down the back and into the box where the heating element is. Clean it out, put it back together, plug it back in and resume normal use. Make sure to clean it out every few months. Can we say NO?Needless to say, I will NOT buy another BOSCH appliance. When I go to buy a new dryer I will also be buying a new washer. The only thing these appliances are good for is taking out back with a sledgehammer in hand and releasing some build up frustration!

I loved my Bosch dishwasher (Silence Plus 48 dBA Dishwasher) when I first got it. It was so quiet and did a great job. Two years in and just out of warranty, it needed a $300.00 repair because water was leaking out the bottom. Now, two years after that, it wont stop draining, even with the door open. A repairman confirmed what I thought, water was leaking into the subtray so the float wouldnt drop to allow the machine to function. He found a break in the water valve and told me the problem is a common one. I wont be buying any Bosch appliance again.

I am surprised by the negative reviews here. I have owned this dryer for over a year and my experience has been very positive. Coming from a conventional, vented gas dryer, I expected long, slow drying times but did not get this at all. We changed from large, conventional washer and dryer to the European-sized models so we don't cram every possible piece of dirty clothes into one load. I typically run 4-5 smaller loads per week: dark, light, white, towels and jeans, and dress shirts. This dryer does a great job of drying all these clothes types, especially if you take advantage of the special settings. For me, the key is to remove clothes immediately at the end of the cycle. This is true of all dryers, IMO, but especially with this one. It *does* leave a small amount of residual moisture in the clothing, depending on setting. If you pull clothes out while they're warm, then fold or hang immediately, almost all the wrinkles disappear without ironing. If I have one complaint, it's that the dryer only rotates one direction. This means very large items (california king sheets, for instance) can get tangled and not dry evenly. There is one MAJOR advantage to this dryer. Living in a drought-prone area, I put the drain hose into a bucket and recover one to two gallons of water from each load that I use to irrigate my garden. Clean clothes, happy tomatoes. What's not to love?

I have a bunch of these in a commercial strip mall I own. They work very well for bathroom sinks and are easy to mount and set up. I have had one failure with this brand and that was after 8 yrs of use. We just remodeled our kitchen. We really liked the Bosch Benchmark oven(s), the standard 30, the speed micro, and the steam oven, along with a warming drawer. We embraced their advertising showing these appliances all lined up along a wall, or lined up as well as one above another. Their literature touts the fact that they are all identical in appearance, backed up by the photos they display. We ordered our ovens (as well as the induction cooktop) last December for January delivery dates. Our cabinet maker had the ovens delivered to their location to be sure they built the cabinets to fit the ovens and warming drawer perfectly. We opted for a horizontal install as well as vertically - the standard oven top left with the speed micro to its right lined up horizontally. Below the standard oven is our warming drawer. Below the speed micro is the steam oven perfectly lined up vertically with the micro and horizontally with the standard oven and warming drawer. Then the electricians came out and wired them in. Immediately I noticed the number displays on the standard oven and the steam oven have large numbers in a very nice font, but the microwave has the old fashioned typical pixelated microwave numbers that I have on my old $85 dollar unit! I also noticed that the stainless steel panel that houses the controls are different in their construction! The microwave version looks cheaper! Bosch has spent a lot of money on the advertising concentrating on the type of install I have - lining your ovens up horizontally and vertically - they proudly state that they are identical! They are not! Through my appliance dealer I contacted Bosch hoping that, perhaps, since my micro was built in February 2014 there might be a later run that matched. There isnt. Their answer was, Well, if you dont like it, just turn off the display on the microwave! I am floored by this attitude! It seems quite reasonable to me to expect this very simple part of the construction of these ovens to match!! Our install arrangement even makes it look worse by putting the odd one between the better ones! Well, I am stuck with them now since we had custom cabinetry built to house them. All I can do is pass on the word. Thank you for reading this.

A Bosch compact pair (each 24 inches wide) has been great for 15 years, and the dryer just died, and I replaced it with this unit so I could still plug the old Bosch washer into the dryer for power. Bosch is only making ventless dryers now, and I bought this against my better judgment because the reviews of the ventless dryers have been terrible. Bosch apparently went to ventless because of new regulations about lint fires in ducted dryers. This dryer is great! The automatic sensor is adjustable for different levels of dryness. It is faster than the previous vented Bosch dryer, and the clothes come out perfect. The fact that the washer spins to 1200 means the clothes are already pretty dry. If your washer does not spin at 1200, that might explain why clothes would take a long time to dry in this dryer. The condensation unit at the bottom of the dryer drains into a hose which empties into the same drain as the washer. (If you have a 3 prong outlet, the manual shows how you can rewire the dryer for a 3 plug cord, or you can replace the outlet) . Some warm dry air is emitted from the dryer and we use it to help heat the house when it is cold. Why waste this source of heat? In the summer I will direct the warm air into the garage or turn on the exhaust fan in the laundry room. In short, we are thrilled with this dryer. We have only had it a short time, and hope it will last as long as its predecessor.

I purchased a Bosch Dishwasher (i.e. total cost $$857.98) which was installed in Dec 2017. About 3 weeks ago I was receiving error messages as well as the machine skipping cycles and stopped. Given that one of the error messages was E24 the Bosch authorized repairer wanted to order a pump for the machine to save me from minimizing the number of trips he would need to be made. May I add the service charge would have been $180, labor and parts extra given that the pump was outside of the warranty. After ordering the pump, I receive a message that the pump is in. But of course it was the wrong pump. I will not bore you with the details of the story but after a lengthy conversation, I told this company to NOT come at all and will find another Bosch authorized dealer. Well, I did, he promised to come, waited for him and he never showed up, did not call even though I left several voice mails, etc. Bosch kept saying we need a diagnosis but it sure is difficult if there own people do not show up as promised or have excuses about the wrong pump being ordered, etc.I provided all the detailed information that Bosch wanted. This evening I received an email from them telling me a decision had been. I doubt if this case was escalated to management as I requested. I called Bosch (25 minute wait) to find out what the decision would be given that they emailed me and said decisions cannot be provided by email or voicemail. The Bosch rep said they were going to do a big favor and as a 1-time courtesy provide the parts but I still would be responsible for the service call and labor. BTW, the issue in all likelihood is a control panel which has a 5-year warranty. Or in other words they did nothing except to ensure that I will never purchase a Bosch appliance again. If there would have been a pump issue the retail price is $30.05. Such an offer from Bosch. Bosch service providers are few and far between. And from my experience they are totally incompetent. Bosch sold me a lemon of a dishwasher and has failed to provide any type of concern for their customer.

Bosch provided me a the worst service experience of my life! After less than 3 years the ice maker in my refrigerator/freezer stopped working. I contacted customer service and no one answered, so I went online and made a request for service. I got a call back 5 days later at which time I was told they couldn’t make an appointment because there was a systems problem and I should call back. That should have clued me of what was to come. Service was finally sent out after waiting more than a month for an open appointment. When service arrived they checked my water dispenser and told me my ice maker needed to be replaced. So I agreed and was told the new part needed to be ordered by me.I ordered the replacement ice maker and it was not available due to back order for more than 3 months! That’s ridiculous! Finally the part was available and service came out and told me the unit didn’t need replacing. It was just the “fill“ arm needed replacing. THIS WAS THE SAME TECHNICIAN THAT INITIALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM 4 MONTHS EARLIER! After which the service rep said it was fixed. Needless to say it was not fixed and then I rescheduled a service call. When the unit was in fact replaced by a different tech. And I was charge almost $500 for the privilege of waiting 4 months for replacing an ice maker that I suspect, never needed it to begin with. I will never buy a Bosch appliance and I am telling everyone I know to do the same.
