The plastic end of our dishwasher handle cracked, but I caught it before the handle became loose and broke off completely. It was still under extended warranty and Im happy to say Bosch sent out a repair person with the $5 part (2 replacement ends) and fixed it without cost to me. The repair guy told me it is a known problem and gave me the extra end to use if it happened again. I love everything else about the dishwasher and have had no problems with it after 8 years... yet.

A few years ago we bought Bosch green dishwasher. That means it uses relatively low (below 100C) temperature to wash and dry. Thus various microbes are not killed and the dishwasher sanitized. Finally, the water which always should be in the dishwasher gets nasty smell. Who was so stupid to create such green stuff without option to use normal washing and drying temperature not the green? Do not buy Bosch as you can get something stupid like green microbe friendly appliance.

After examining the reviews on this site, coupled with my own experience, I suspect today’s Bosch products are not the quality they once were. We were satisfied with two prior Bosch dishwashers, however, two years ago we purchased an expensive new Bosch dishwasher to replace an aging one. After being gone for several weeks, we returned to find our dishwasher inoperable. Calling customer service was a frustrating experience as they could not send a certified repairman for almost a month...that’s a lot of dirty dishes. They then referred us to a local repairman who could visit a week later...perhaps they have too many repairs to perform? Today I was informed that I face a $400 repair on an expensive two-year-old machine… Inexcusable. I would not recommend a Bosch dishwasher in the future.

We bought a dishwasher nine months ago and it hasnt worked properly from day one. Parts were replaced twice and it didnt fix the problem. The repair person tried his best even calling for additional support but I guess no one knows how to to fix it. It stops working and maybe after 12 hours or so it will restart. Once it is working it is fine but that is not what you want. I have just hung up from being on hold to get another repair ticket for over 50 minutes and no one picks up at their end. I strongly would discourage anyone from getting a Bosch product.

Bought a Bosch SMV46G00G dishwasher, thinking Bosch would be good. My previous cheaper SMEG dishwasher, could be switched to ECO setting and left to run its long cycle whilst I went off to bed. Result? Clean dry dishes in the morning. So I did the same with my expensive Bosch washer. Result? Soaking wet dishes and machine in the morning. Ah! but it saves you energy costs, say Bosch. Thats no good to me if it doesnt do the job, is it? I could take it all down to the local stream and save even more energy and money. I expected a machine that was capable of switch and forget. Instead I have to wait until its finished before I can open the door and let it dry overnight. Poor, stupid design. Why not have a mechanism to open the door automatically after a drying time? Too difficult? I think not, it was standard design on USA machines. Recommendation? Dont buy.

We upgraded our kitchen 5 years ago and went with Bosch because they were supposedly high quality appliances. We bought a Bosch built in oven/microwave appliance and did a custom rock wall around it. The appliance failed with 1 1/2 years. Bosch was not easy to deal with. We could not get a Bosch repair person because they refused to travel into the county side. Bosch did replace it with a slightly different size unit, so we had to adjust our wall. Now 3 years later this unit has failed. I have been put on hold for over 2 hours with no one answering the phone. I have emailed and received no response. We have wasted our money and time dealing with this company.

The product is cheap, easily malfunctions, lacks longevity and doesnt work properly. To top it off the customer service representatives are rude and somewhat arrogant. When researching new appliances, all the reviews seemed to be negative, regardless of manufacturer. It seemed that nobody posted positive reviews. I bought all four Bosch appliances in March 2017 and had a problem with the refrigerator dripping water inside the box which had pooled under the pull-out chiller drawer. I called the Bosch people and they immediately set up an appointment with an independent local appliance repair service. The tech came out the next day, took everything inside the refrigerator apart and contacted Bosch Techs by phone to determine the required fix. After he was done and had put everything back together, I asked what if that didnt solve the problem and he replied that I would probably get a new refrigerator. The next day it was clear the leaking wasnt fixed. I called the repair guy and he immediately started a Claim, and gave me the claim number they would send to Bosch, and a phone number for me to contact Bosch. I talked with a very nice Customer Service lady at Bosch and they emailed me a claim form to complete. I was not able to complete it immediately but took the form to the local post office to mail about five days later. When I got home from the post office, the phone rang and it was the Bosch representative confirming that they had already ordered a new refrigerator and a local installer would contact me once the unit was received. About a week later, their installers came out, removed the old refrigerator and totally set up the new one. When they left there wasnt a trace they had been there and the refrigerator was completely set up. So, I may be in the minority on these Reviews but my Bosch appliances work just fine, the Customer Service people are absolutely delightful to work with and they stood behind their product 100%. I couldnt be happier and think potential customers who study the reviews need to see a positive experience among all the negative reviews.

In 2012 we renovated our kitchen, and laundry with 9 appliance that included built in coffeemaker and range hood. The appliance are poorly made and the parts are expensive. The first to go was dryer, that repeatedly gave lint error message and would not switch on. The next was built in microwave oven at 4 years. Then the washing machine has to be replaced at 5 years. In the 7th year it is the built in double oven, after minor troubles over 2 years finally failed completely. The company is not helpful. We can not talk to their technical support since they only talk to their own select group of technicians. The spare parts are ridiculously expensive. These appliances are unreliable. Please stay away from these appliances.

This is our second Bosch dishwasher. The first one died within a year and was replaced (though it took ages). We loved the way it worked, esp. the silence of it, but were surprised by the failure of a new appliance. The customer service was not great. New house, new DW: this one died within 11 months of purchase and installation. And I am a super-neat-freak the dishes are almost clean when they go in dishwasher user. But still, this new Bosch died 11 months in, and 5 weeks after reporting the problem were still being given the run-around.After trying to replace the board and sensor unit on site this past week, the service guys hauled it away, damaging my cabinetry. And suddenly (lo, presto!) we now, 2 days later, have a leak under our sink, which is adjacent to the DW, from where they pulled the fill/drain hoses and did god knows what. Next time I will camp over their shoulders, video camera on. So: 5 weeks after reporting the Bosch units failure, we have no dishwasher, and are unable to use our kitchen sink. I am disgusted.

As far as new dishwashers go, this has outperformed all of them. No appliance is perfect, but this one comes close. Auto was, and half load are very handy and are used the most. Rinse only and heat dry are missing features Id have liked to see. Handles nearly everything I own as far as cookware. Black and beautiful! Seems to go through a lot of rinse aid. Even when programming it to use as little as possible. Also, filling the rinse aid container is a hassle.

My Bosch 800 series dishwasher was delivered and installed on January 6, 2016. Thirty-eight days later, on February 11, 2016, the mid-level spray arm fell off during a cycle, landing among the dishes on the bottom rack. Our first clue that something was amiss: Soap dispenser sprayed soap all over but it was not rinsed off the dishes. Chunks remained in the dispenser as well. Second clue, I could not see the spray arm where it used to be!!! We finagled the drawer out and off, flipped it over and reattached the spray arm to its central anchor spot. It was not as hard as we thought to reattach it, thank goodness, but does this mean it will fall off easily again?Very discouraging for a BRAND NEW APPLIANCE that was not even run on a daily basis. We are only two in this household and we do not fill the DW daily. I am concerned about the LONG running times and about the frequency of having to refill the rinse aid, even after adjusting it to be a lighter amount dispensing each time. Add to this the prospect of inner parts falling off and I have to say I am worried that my $899.99 investment was not a wise move.Additionally, I discovered through a review on another site that the model I chose was a special application. Meaning it is shorter for counters that are below the standard height. I wish the store salesman would have told me that. This explains why the installer had to laboriously jack up the corners to raise the appliance to its highest position in order for it to be hidden under the lip of the kitchen counter, but there is a space at the bottom now.

The dishes simply do not get clean. Even simple things like coffee cups come out still stained. I end up pre-treating the dishes or handwashing especially stained items. Waste of money. I purchased the Bosch model that was around $500 because of their reputation. They sell machines in the $5000 range. These perhaps could be worth the money. This lower priced model was made to appeal to the average consumer and is very disappointing. It is a quiet machine but that wasnt necessarily important to me. I was especially impressed with the 3rd tray at the top for laying silverware horizontally. This allowed the basket on the bottom tier to be removed and seemed to provide more space. Instead, you find that the silverware simply doesnt get cleaned on the top tray. Furthermore, removal of the basket does not truly allow for that much more room. None of my saucepan lids can fit in the bottom tier unless they are loosely placed on the rim of the basket. Standard size, stainless steel and non-descript, but there are other brands just as elegant that actually clean the dishes. This dishwasher was sold with free packets of Finish. The packets never truly dissolve and you are wondering if you just washed your dishes with hot water. When speaking to a maintenance expert he explained the water doesnt get hot enough to melt the plastic and that is where you realize your energy savings. So why does Bosch promote the Finish packets? Are they that clueless about their own product?

3-4 years ago my husband and I bought a Bosch dishwasher. My husband knew he was dying and he didnt want me dealing with new appliances after he died. He insisted Bosch had the best ratings. We bought this at Lowes in Saint Joseph, Mo. It was not a cheap model. I see ads about their dishwashers being the best and I say what a joke. This never worked good like I expected. I have had one man work on it and he said they make these to work thru balance of the bottom with the water. It didnt work better after he tried to fix it. This am the dishes were dirty, soap container didnt even open. I use very hot water and the steam probably helps a little but never really clean. No I never called the company. I was dealing with a dying husband. I knew they would simply say out of warranty after my husband died 9 months ago. I dont know what I will buy next but do know what it wont be... Bosch.

I bought a stackable Bosch 500 series from Home Depot thinking as it states on Bosch website ‘outstanding service before and after purchase’. 3 months new and I have a leak. Initially it took just over a week to get a service call. Then they cancelled the service call as a stackable unit is a 2 man job and they dont have 2 men in Boston MA? Now a month later they state that instead of servicing my appliance they are offering to buy back my appliance giving me the option to buy something else. I think for a day and after realizing I could buy exact same product from a non Home Depot vendor that services what they sell. Unfortunately Bosch does not have a deal with them so I would have to return my set to Bosch and then buy the same set from the other vendor. Not so exceptional. I decide to suck it up and if they cant or wont service my appliance I have no choice. So now it take 2 weeks for them to process ‘my request for reimbursement’. And they are not sure they will reimburse me for the dryer half of the set? Sorry what! Either service what you sell or take back what you wont. I did not buy half a washer dryer set, I bought a set. This is not some mismatched discount warehouse, this is a $3,000 washer dryer. I will never deal with Bosch again for sure, but if you do, buy from a vendor that can service you. Home Depot cant and Bosch wont so I got shafted from every direction.I am left wondering if they will not service my washer but not reimburse me for the dryer. How long it will take to pick up their faulty equipment if they reimburse me the total cost of purchase, 5 year extended service warranty and sales tax, and how long it will take to mail me a check!!! 2 of the 3 customer service agents were pleasant, 1 was aggressively impolite. Bosch get negative stars and Home Depot that I usually love gets zero as well for not carrying quality appliances that include and I quote again ‘outstanding service before and after the purchase’. Disaster.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Furniture & Appliance Mart in Madison, WI. This was delivered on 9/16/15 by them. The appliance was professionally installed by our own installer. We ate supper that night & then turned on the dishwasher. It went through one part of the cycle & started making a strange sound that just kept going. We looked at it & saw that we had an E-15 error. This means there is a water leak in the bottom pan. We tried to override & shut this off & could not, so we shut the dishwasher off at the breaker. We contacted Bosch Customer Service & they told us to do something we did not understand. They told us to call back in the morning. We called back the next morning (Thurs) at 8am. They told us Akrit would service this for us & would call us back within 24 hours. I waited around all day Friday & when they didnt call by 4pm, I called Akrit myself. They told me that Bosch never contacted them, but, after searching through something on-line, they found my service call. I told them the problem & Ashley contacted the tech directly & set me up by noon on Monday. The tech showed up on time on Monday & checked out the dishwasher. He did a thorough job & found a small leak in the left rear welded seam. Thats when the problems started. I have a list of times & people I spoke to, to no avail at Bosch customer service. Each one telling me that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. (Joke!) That never, ever happened once! Finally, by 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, we were able to talk to someone at Bosch to set a file (claim) with Bosch. They received a copy of our purchase & a copy of what the tech wrote & told us theyd get back to us within 24 hours. We called again on Wednesday morning. After my husband was told that the person in customer service would not get back to us until at least Thursday morning, we decided to take matters into our own hands. He went into the store of purchase, spoke to the manager, who contacted customer service at their corporate office. They apologized to us & set up a delivery, set-up and new dishwasher & are dealing with Bosch themselves. Bosch Customer Service, in my opinion, does not exist. By the way, our 2nd new dishwasher was delivered, setup & installed Friday afternoon & works wonderfully! This was done only because Appliance & Furniture Mart stepped in & took care of us, their customer. Bosch called us back around 4pm Friday, by the way, 3 days after we set up the claim.

We purchased four Bosch appliances in January 2011 and by November 2011, there was rust on them. Our fridge looked like someone sprayed the rust on it. It is that bad. We contacted Bosch and they sent a service person to look at it and confirmed the problem. He said that the appliances werent 100% Stainless steel because he tested it with a magnet and there was some magnetic attraction. Anyway, he then tried cleaning it per his instructions from Bosch and the rust remained. We contacted Bosch about what the service man said and then was told that the appliance were only warranted for 30 days for cosmetic defects and we should try cleaning it again. We tried cleaning again this time using a very fine steel wool. Some spots were removed but still left a residual stain but many, many spots the rust remained. We then contacted Bosch again. They asked us to send pictures and then they offered to give us 50% off replacement parts as their solution to the defective appliances we paid full price for. This is not the answer we expected from a company who sells what they call top of the line appliances. We were told that the problem of rust was because our condo is on the ocean in FL I cant believe that everyone living on coastal America has had rust problems on their appliances with in a year of purchase. Our Floridian neighbors dont seem to have this problem with other brands. Also we had purchased Bosch appliances for our CT home in 2007and have no rusting problems and we live a block from the sea. I read on rekitchen.com that Bosch warranties against rust on dishwashers. This obviously is not true. From what Ive read here, Bosch does not live up to their reputation!

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

We replaced another brand refrigerator after only four years because of constant ice maker repairs. We shopped long and hard for another one and were told by most salesmen and our own online research that the number one refrigerator repair for all brands was through-the- door ice makers. We also needed a counter depth model, not many out there. We're on our second Bosch dishwasher now and couldn't be happier with it. So, the Bosch brand and in freezer bin type ice maker sold us. Best Buy is now into the appliance business big time, we got it there and were very happy with the sales person and their delivery/installation. This really is a well designed product. We are replacing a 22 Cu ft. side by side and actually get more food in this model and more importantly, can find it. The refrigerator was delivered two months ago and our only problem so far is of course, the ice maker. The ice maker replenishment time hasn't been a problem for us as we are a couple only and the ice bin holds a lot of ice, and after no ice half of the time with our old refrigerator, the sound of ice dropping into the bin was most welcome, but the taste of the ice cubes (stale water or soapy like taste) has been. We had a Bosch repairman check and verify the problem. He replaced the inlet valve a week ago, as according to him, it is the only metal part that could be causing the taste and that was all he could do. One week later we still have the stale taste, it may not be the refrigerator, but we are using the same copper connecting tubing that our old refrigerator used, and our city water taste is fine. We are now using plastic ice cube trays and water out of the sink in the Bosch freezer to make useable ice? Another minor problem was a squeaky upper freezer drawer (yep, where the ice maker bin is located). Bosch repair recommended something called ( Food Grade Silicone spray), hard to find, try (Ace Hardware), that worked and the problem was solved. We really like this refrigerator and hope this gets resolved (Bosch, are you reading this review?) As the price of refrigerators now approach that of a good used car, we can't afford to keep buying them every few years!

I was told that they contract their service out and that they only had two service companies in the entire San Diego county area, a HUGE area. Only one of these service companies was willing to come out and take look. The serviceman came out but did not have the part needed. He ordered it from Bosch. I heard nothing for 3 months. When I called Bosch in February 2020, still no part available. Now May, I called again and was told that the part was still not available and was “probably” coming from China and in fact may be discontinued altogether. I was told there was nothing they could do and that they will TRY and call IF it comes in. Wow. Beware! Choose appliances that have better service available and customer care in place.

I had purchased Bosch washing machine (Model No. WAK24168IN/03) on 18/01/2016. On 03-02-2016, I found the washing machine throwing E-18 and stopped working. It was also giving electric shock on touching. Immediately, I called the customer care and registered complaint and they provided technician within 2 days. Technician informed us that drain pump got damaged and needs to be replaced with a new pump which will be fixed on 08-02-2016. From that day to till date, we had no information on the status from Service Center. We kept calling several times and asking the update on the status. They simply gave some stupid reasons and kept ignoring our calls. Finally, they gave us the number ** of senior authority from Bosch Services who had kept awaiting us by telling that he will call and update on the status, and kept postponing the dates without giving any info on the status.I have lost my patience following up the poor and reckless customer service, as it wasted my time as well as money on the name of the brand just for a spare part. If this is the situation of service in the warranty period, then I just cant imagine what will it be after that period. I also pity on customer service who cannot give any information on the address of their Service Center. Washing machine is a very important home appliance in a daily life and we cannot waste any more time on following up people from one side with no response on the opposite side which delayed and disturbed routine planned schedule. Hence, I request you to refund the money or to do the service as quick as possible since it is already one month with no update on the status from the Service Center either through mail/phone.

Called Bosch, had service repair at great expense. They said it dries and is designed to leave drops on top and it leaks down on dishes leaving them wet. Also cycle time has doubled to 158 minutes. They said, “Do not run at night, open immediately after cycle to get drier dishes.” Are they kidding? $1000 for a dishwasher you cannot run at night! DO NOT BUY BOSCH products. Service and website are terrible. Their attitude is ‘customer is always wrong.’

I had a very bad experience with Bosch. I bought a top-of-the-line Bosch stove about 9 years ago. Its been falling apart for the last 3-4 years. First the broiler stopped working, then the oven door wouldnt close, then a burner stopped working. I called Bosch expecting some level of service and care--after all Bosch prides itself on its reputation. I was told that I would need proof of purchase as well as an estimate of the costs and then maybe they would give me a 10-20% discount on parts. I expressed my dissatisfaction and I was told that after 9 years we are sorry that you feel that way. I explained my husband had been sick and died and that was why I had not called for repairs. Once again I was told sorry you feel that way. It was very dismissive and I will definitely not be buying a Bosch product again.

The Bosch model SHV99A03/UC 14 is fabulous! It is quiet, a major advantage. Only a door spring pulley has broken in 12 years. The racks are large and easy to load. They fit all sizes of dishes and utensils. This will hold a very full load of dishes. We have the option for wood paneling that matches the oak cabinets. The door springs are strong, but the plastic pulleys are what broke. Bosch has redesigned them, so get the newer ones. They are a real challenge to replace, but there was some good video on YouTube showing how. Study first before you begin!

Have an expensive 8 yr old Bosch refrigerator. Already replaced water pump (about $400.) now door handle broke off at bottom. Bosch CS is worthless. Most repair services dont handle bosch - cant readily get parts. Those that do wont give prices - they want $100 service call to diagnose prob and then order parts for 2nd visit. And cant get price of new handle without a costly visit -- some scam theyve got going. It also never produces enough ice. Supposed to be stainless steel - aside from not being stainless its not magnetic - so what kind of SS is it really. My opinion is to never buy bosch anything.

Bought the above dishwasher (Model SHV878WD3N/10) and had it installed 10/15/18. It did not work from the 1st day. A repair technician checked it on 11/2/18 and told us the dishwasher had a factory defect and was not repairable. He contacted Bosch and told me they were going to exchange the dishwasher and I should check back with them in 3-4 days. I called on 11/6 in the morning and was told the exchange had been approved and I would have to wait 5-7 business days for that to be arranged. In the afternoon on 11/6 a customer service rep called me and advised me the exchange was approved and I would have to wait 7-10 business days.On 11/14/18 I called because I had not heard from them and was told that the approval had not been sent to the exchange department and was assured it was sent through that day. Now they tell me I will have to wait another 7-14 days to find out what model the exchange is approved for and when that may take place. Customer service reps are rude and do not provide their name. This was a $884 custom front unit and they are not even telling me I can get the same unit. The customer service at Bosch is terrible!!

I owned a Bosch dishwasher which worked well for 15 years before the timer broke. I did not hesitate to purchase a new Bosch based on my prior experience. If you are thinking of buying one (MODEL SHP65TL5UC) and do not want to throw lots of money out the window and be dissatisfied, I would advise you to seek a different brand. First of all, the dishes do not dry thoroughly and come out with a weird slightly damp feeling even when using a Rinse Aid and normal cycle plus sanitize feature. I have tried to use this beefed up normal cycle with the sanitize cycle even with very lightly soiled dishes and even when the dishwasher is half full because the economy cycle gave me very damp dishes and actually wet plastic bowls. Even with the sanitize cycle which provides extra heat, the bottoms of coffee cups or bowls need to be dried with a towel. Why put things in the dishwasher if you are still drying them??Secondly, there is an ugly smell when you open the dishwasher. I took out the filter and there is about a cup of water that I was told stays at the bottom of the dishwasher at all times (just got this information from Bosch Customer Service). I run this dishwasher twice a week so this same water is just sitting there in an enclosed container for days on end so no wonder the water smells rank - and I have beautiful sparkling sweet tasting well water. How can Bosch deliver a product with such inferior design flaws? I can see from the reviews that many people are having these same problems so Customer Service cannot pretend they never heard this complaint. I intend to pursue this Bosch because I have owned this product for only two weeks and refuse to be stuck with such a bad dishwasher but poor performance with ridiculous design flaws. I guess Bosch is resting on former laurels because I would rank this as a big 0 if there was that option here.

I have been dealing with a non-working tankless water heater for about a week, and Bosch customer service keeps telling me from pictures I sent that the install is incorrect. I have had many technicians come into my home and verify the setup and that Bosch, a reputable company, should accommodate us. Its been under 5 years since we have used these units and with not having hot water for almost a week and the countless phone calls to Bosch and emails with pictures, I am resorting to going to the Better Business Bureau. We had the town of Clifton verify everything before they issued us a Certificate of Occupancy. This CO would not be issued if a potential threat was posed due to incorrect installation. We also called Clifton City Hall, who said install was done according to city code. Of two, only one tankless water heater works. I will mention all over social media how Bosch treated this situation and my overall experience. We had to pay multiple amounts to the plumbers who visited our home, who ended up telling us this is something Bosch should be handling for us. Where is Bosch when this customer needs them to help? The 15 year warranty is mighty easy to void isnt it. Also, if Bosch is so confident that the install is incorrect, why doesnt Bosch come here and take a look themselves? Id appreciate a response as this is getting extremely frustrating.

We looked long and hard for a new range and decided on this based upon the reviews we saw and reputation on Bosch. We use it a lot, especially for stews, pasta and other sauces etc. Unfortunately, this range cannot simmer... I wrote to Bosch and it was suggested that we buy one of their woks. Not interested in cooking pasta sauce in a wok. We bought an outdoor cast iron replacement grill and have been using that on top of the range, but we invested a lot of money for a great range and have to pile up outdoor grills so our dinner doesnt burn? Also – beware of the broil, for garlic cheese bread and most fish weve always kept the door cracked open a bit. Cant do that anymore. Open the door the broiler shuts off. This stinks. We are so disappointed.

I noticed that there was an orange greasy residue near the door hinge after each cycle. I made it a practice to clean that area every time I emptied the machine. We used the Finish Powerballs and rinse agent. Our water heater is new and the water is very hot. Then I noticed a smell when drinking from a glass. I at first liked this washer then several problems. One, the moldy smell inside required the door to be left open to avoid a stench. I got used to that, though constantly had to wipe the gaskets out and clean the inside door and gaskets. Then a couple of years ago, 8 years after I bought it, the housing near the dials developed a small crack. I called customer service and received no satisfaction.I called again in August this year, obtained a file number for my complaint, but they wanted me to get a Bosch repair person and pay them to diagnose the problem, which was evident from the picture below, as a crack. This was not due to operator error or misuse. We are a retired couple, dont take in laundry (!) and it is kept on the first living floor of our heated and air conditioned house. I have seen other complaints of these issues online, so I know were not alone. I wish I had kept my 29 year old Maytag and replaced the pump instead of buying this set. Dont buy Bosch!

I always thought of Bosch as a company with high quality standards and good customer service and over time had to change my mind to never wanting to buy Bosch again and having shared this opinion with friends and family to avoid their frustration and disappointment. The dishwasher trays holding plates were so rigid in the beginning that they chipped my china – maybe I should feel lucky as the Bosch dishwasher of our friends went up in flames, even their model/serial number was not on the recall. The washer requires always additional rinses to remove the soap (or at least most of it) and the 4000$ cooking range broke down after 2.5 year with an electronic board having failed and needing replacement. Bosch does not provide service once the appliance is out of warranty and their spare parts are ridiculously expensive.

Our four year old dishwasher was issued a recall as some of the plugs were catching on fire. I did as instructed on the recall notice and an authorized repairman came to the house. He said he couldnt get the dishwasher out without damaging our floors and left. I let Bosch know and they suggested that we get a quote to have the granite countertops removed, so that the repairman could get in. I asked for another dealer but they didnt want another repairman. I called our contractor to remove the dishwasher and the repairman came back to change the plug but refused to put back the dishwasher. The contractor came back to re-install the dishwasher and the dishwasher top rack and sprayer were now broken. Bosch got the fire hazard fixed so they are off the hook for that, but I am left with a broken dishwasher and their so called customer service wont respond. Now, I am forced to replace the dishwasher when I as the customer have done nothing wrong. Bosch cares about avoiding a lawsuit, but could give a whit about the customers experience. The company sure does not have the customers back. This whole process has taken weeks and I am completely frustrated.

Since I purchased my W&D nearly 3 years ago Ive had repair people called out at my expense twice. Then a couple of weeks ago my washer started leaking at the front-loading door-seal. I called Bosch to see if they would pick up the tab for this third unfortunate event. They would not. The major cost is, of course, the house call. The Bosch Customer Service (joke) rep told me that, at most, they would provide another door seal after I paid a repair person to come and look at the washer and state that it leaked, -- THEN, I must call the repair person back again (my fee, again) to install the seal that BOSCH so generously provided to me (after proof). Only then would I have a washer that twisted my clothes into a knot and annoyed me with constant beeps that I cannot turn off. What is wrong with these companies? Where is customer service? I bought their high end products and put my faith in them to help the environment by using less water and electricity, to the tune of 3X what a regular ol W&D cost. German engineering notwithstanding, I will never buy another Bosch product. I will wash clothes on a rock first!! And ya know what the really sad part is? The nice little Appliance Plus repairman in Surfside said on one of this visits that this was still the best washer and dryer made :(

If negative stars were possible they have sincerely earned it. We spent nearly 11,000 dollars in appliances and the combination wall oven microwave has never worked correctly. Bosch has tried and failed to fix the appliance three times. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Bosch, most of it on hold, trying to rectify this situation. I have asked for assistance to get the appliances replaced to no avail. On 1/3/18 they came and fixed the appliance for the third time. This fix was to replace the touch panel because the second trip to the house the technician replaced it with the wrong touch panel. When that technician was questioned about it he said, “That’s the right one for your oven” instead of holding the two next to each other to determine that it was in fact the wrong one. Then a different technician came to replace that touch panel with the correct one. That one, on the first use came up with fault codes saying that the electrical was too hot. Ten minutes later another code came on that says communication error now the oven won’t come on at all. I called to request that the appliances be taken out of my house and explained to them my concerns of faulty wiring. I also told them of my concerns of fire hazard and having my newly built home burned down. The representative told me that it needed to go to management and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I was not contacted and after 72 hours I called them back to find out the first representative didn’t even send my file to management. I explained the situation and was told that it would have to go to management. I then asked to be transferred to management because I had no faith that I would be contacted. I was finally transferred to an “escalation manager” who was unable to help me and she transferred me to the “escalation supervisor” named Shawn. Shawn then explained to me that they would never refund my money for the appliances and that I was stuck them, but they might be able to replace the oven. I had already been told by two representatives that refunding the appliances was a possibility only to be told by this extremely unprofessional representative named Shawn that was not an option. He then told me it would have to go to management and I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. I cannot stress enough my displeasure with everything about Bosch most of all by their customer service. They are absolutely one hundred percent unprofessional hacks that will never get my business again. I will never buy anything with a Bosch affiliation again. I opened this account specifically to complain about my Bosch dishwasher. Within a year, rust spots started to appear on the inside door and the Bosch repairman inspected them and said it was normal and they would not fix nor replace it. The dishwasher still worked so we let it go. Then 2 years later the coating on the bottom rack started to melt off revealing the metal underneath that started to rust. Since it had been 2 years, Bosch did not cover it and from there on the bottom rack started to have other areas of disintegration.A replacement for just the bottom rack is $250. Now today the machine stopped working. The water inlet may be clogged as no water comes in. We didnt realize it until we started smelling something burning. The smell came from the grinder that burned its gears since there was no water. As much as I would like to be swayed by the great reviews Bosch gets from professional reviewers, the endurance does not pan out and thats something professional reviewers dont think about.

For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. We own a Wall oven and microwave combo - HBLP751UC. The oven part over the years would just freeze that is none of the controls would work till the breaker was switched on and off. Now the microwave switches are broken and parts are not available for 2-3 weeks or longer. So the whole unit is out of action for that long. When purchasing I should have done my due diligence and checked but these are made in China and I was hoping for German reliability. I could have done much better at a cheaper price. Now I am stuck with this without service from Bosch. When I asked Bosch for service they said they do not have service people in my area and to use someone in the market who is certified. Check if they have service in your area before purchase and also buy a warranty for sure. Sorry I do not have anything positive to say about Bosch appliances.

Our Bosch dishwasher has held up, but our Bosch stove has not. It is only 11 years old and we are replacing it. At the time it was a fairly expensive ($1,599) compared to other models. It was only a few years (probably shortly after the one-year warranty) and one of the top burners went out. Then after using the self-clean only for three or four years the lock went so it was not possible to use the self-clean function anymore. The worst feature was that we replaced the igniter four times! My husband is very handy and could do this without problems. However the last two years, the igniter would stop working with greater frequency and the last time it smelled gas when we replaced it, so I am not using the oven at all until my new one arrives. I do use the oven a lot - we bake all our own bread, but an oven should last longer than this. I never felt the broiler worked well either. All and all I was disappointed with this purchase. Appliances do not last as long as they used to (I am told that 11 years is the average), but I would never spend that much money for an oven again. Going with a cheaper model of a different brand now.

Last year, I bought a Bosch dishwasher for near $1000. That was really a smart dishwasher and consented me for operation. I found that some micro and macro cracks have appeared in the top front plate of the set. As I am a specialist and a lecturer in the university, I found that these cracks are a result of humidity and low quality of the top plate of the set. I contacted the Bosch agency in Esfahan, Iran regarding warranty, but only faced very irresponsible statements. Contacting the Dubai agency also had no result. So if you have decided to buy this brand, please be careful.

We purchased a Bosch washer and dryer a couple of years ago and a door seal went bad on the dryer. Clearly this shouldnt have gone bad after two years, especially after paying top dollar for what was sold as a premium unit. The part was only $10, but Bosch said a service tech had to install it, costing $75-$100. The part was a simple slide, in part, a 10-year-old kid could install, less complicated than lacing a shoe, but Bosch decided not to use common sense in this case and said thats all they could do. Like the old saying, penny wise, pound foolish.” Probably the worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Never buy Bosch; they don’t stand by their products.

I loved my Bosch dishwasher (Silence Plus 48 dBA Dishwasher) when I first got it. It was so quiet and did a great job. Two years in and just out of warranty, it needed a $300.00 repair because water was leaking out the bottom. Now, two years after that, it wont stop draining, even with the door open. A repairman confirmed what I thought, water was leaking into the subtray so the float wouldnt drop to allow the machine to function. He found a break in the water valve and told me the problem is a common one. I wont be buying any Bosch appliance again.

I purchased a Bosch washing machine 2 years ago for my summer residence, have probably used it not more than 20 times and it doesnt work. The motor control unit needs to be replaced. I called Bosch and they informed me that they cannot help me since a Bosch certified repair man has not diagnosed the problem. I informed him that there are no certified Bosch repair men in my area which he confirmed!! But he cannot help me since a Bosch repair man has to diagnose the problem (and will charge me a service fee since the machine is not under warranty!). I told him two repair men looked at the machine and one called Bosch and confirmed that it is the motor control unit and I saw the part, it looks fried!! He informed me once again he cannot help me since they werent certified!! I should have bought a Whirlpool machine; at least with Whirlpool, the parts are cheaper and my husband has repaired my Whirlpool washer with the help of YOUTUBE! There are no YOUTUBE videos on how to replace a Bosch motor control unit. I would not purchase a Bosch appliance again!!

We bought our Bosch Ascenta Dishwasher two years ago. One year and one month to the date of purchase it quit working. Called them. They came out and fixed it. Argued with me but they fixed it. One year later, same problem. Now its out of warranty and they wont fix it. Wont even really discuss with me. How can a name brand, like Bosch, not be able to build a dishwasher that will last more than one year? Or two? And when I get customer service, how can they not care? Amazing? I asked for help and they told me to get an analysis and then UPPER MANAGEMENT will determine whether they are going to help me. Crazy. Does the president/CEO of the company have to review every single case? What a joke. I will NEVER purchase or recommend a Bosch appliance again in my life EVER.

The control board went out on a 3 year old dishwasher SHX46A05, 5 year warranty. We were denied warranty service unless we paid a company to come out, test the unit, then pay them again to come out with the replacement part. I figured out what was wrong in 1/2 hour reading online. I offered to send them the defective part and they could test it at Bosch and save us $100s. They refused, denying us warranty coverage on the parts unless we payed labor.

Our experience with Bosch appliances has been mixed but disappointing. First, the first cooktop delivered during a remodel would not function as soon as installed. This resulted in a multi-week delay in the remodel. Next, the microwave failed within a year of installation and then again within another year. We have paid more than $300 in repairs so far. Finally, with regard to business, we were promised a substantial rebate if we installed 3 or more appliances. We installed 4 but have not yet received the rebate. We have been pestering the dealer repeatedly for about 2 years now with no satisfaction. I will never again purchase a Bosch product.

Our 15 year olds Bosch dishwasher with a custom cabinet to match our cupboards is the best dishwasher we ever had. The adjustable upper rack can hold a 9 and 1/2 in tall wine glass and with adjustable rack tines makes loading the dishwasher a delight. Just recently we had to have the circuit board panel rebuilt since replacement is obsolete but its worth every penny. When this dishwasher goes I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher now with a third rack available.

We purchased this refrigerator to replace a side-by-side that was over a decade old and having trouble keeping the refrigerator cool enough. We needed a counter-depth model due to the relatively small size of our kitchen, and we wanted a French door style with one or two freezer drawers. Other features we wanted: large enough vegetable and fruit bins (some brands have ridiculously small bins), digital controls, LED lights, ice maker (but we had not liked the in-door water and ice we had on the side-by side), the ability to make a shelf into a half-shelf to accommodate tall bottles, and a lot of usable door space. We have been able to fit quite a lot in the refrigerator portion--more than we did in the side-by-side. The shelves are laid out quite nicely, and we have not even made adjustments from the original factory positions. We don't use the egg trays (we kept the tray from the side-by-side, which we like better), but we think we could use one more door shelf and may order one. The freezer is a bit more space limited, although we have been able to fit virtually everything we needed without too much of a problem. We were a bit skeptical about the full-width tray at the refrigerator bottom, but have found ourselves using it for a number of items, especially cheese. This French-door refrigerator allows you to open the left door, access, and close it without touching the right door. I have struggled with other brands that require you to pop the right door just to get the left one in place. We live in Boston where the water is better than anywhere that we have lived, so the lack of a filter has not been a problem (we did flush things out with a few batches of ice at first). It senses when you need ice, so you don't have to manually turn it off. Unlike some reviewers, we have found that it makes plenty of ice. (Our other refrigerator did have a small water filter, but it was always unclear how often we needed to change it and when it might itself become a source of bacteria. If you really need a filter, we would think it might be better to get a more robust one that filtered both the sink tap water and the line to the refrigerator.) Our only caution/complaint is that the door-open warning is not loud enough. You really need to make sure the French doors are fully closed, because you won't easily hear the low-level dinging over a normal TV or stereo.

I bought a Bosch SHE3AR7UC Ascenta dishwasher about 6 months ago after my previous low end unit got too noisy after 9 years of service to me and more to the previous homeowner). Given the price and ratings, I expected a trouble free appliance. Yes, it is quiet. But it arrived with internal damage and when I called them, they said they could replace the bent up tray. I said I was uncomfortable with that, as I didnt know what other damage may have been caused. I was not given a choice so accepted their offer. Months later, it has failed about 6 times, and is now unusable. Error 15, 24, and sometimes wont reset or power off. The repairman comes in a few days, meanwhile I am handwashing dishes after spending 800 bucks! And they wont replace it, despite having shipped me a damaged unit. Customer service on the phone is also poor, unless you get past the front line folks. I will never buy Bosch again.

The first dishwasher had burnt up the wires inside washer as well as outside connections. It took a lot of calls for them to agree to replace the first unit. I had read on line that it had happened to others. After second dishwasher was installed on 1/9/09, my wife and I saw that our model number was a recall to possible electrical fires. For about two years, we received letters in the mail of this recall. Fast forward to late August up to early September, the second dishwasher is not working right. Bosch agreed to pay for a tech to diagnose and concluded that the heater assy shut as well as the main PCB, whatever that is. Repair is estimated at $450 to $500 on an almost four year old dishwasher. Bosch said that I am out of luck because warranty is over and that the second dishwasher was a goodwill case, even though the first dishwasher was a recall as a fire hazard. Oh and by the way, it is just my wife and I, so we dont use our dishwasher like a big family does.

Sometimes I just want to cry at the poor job it does and other times I just wash the dishes by hand. I am not a plumber but I have learned to remove the wands and clean out the openings so the water can pass through. We bought our Bosch Dishwasher from Appliances Connection 2/12/2012, it arrived on 2/22/2012. Our contractor hooked it up on 2/27/2012, he ran a rinse cycle all seemed fine. We ran our first real dishwasher load on the 27th and it kept showing an E-15 error, the dishwasher did not ever finish the first real job. We called Appliances Connection, they told us this is a Bosch problem and they must do the repair work per the warranty. We have had two repair dates with the authorized Bosch repair technician. On March 6th, the Bosch repair tech said that it must be the pump that needs to be replaced. He also confirmed our plumber had made all the correct water connections. On March 14th, another Bosch repair tech came and worked over 2 hours on the dishwasher and could not get it fixed. We contacted Bosch and discussed the problem with their associate. We requested a replacement of our new dishwasher immediately. They made it clear this was not going to happen, as it is new and they will continue to repair until corrected. This is not right! This dishwasher is a lemon. We paid $866 for this machine and almost a month later, we still have only a broken down, unusable dishwasher. (For us that is an incredible amount of money as we are both senior citizens.) Even the repair technicians were frustrated with the way they were communicated to by the Bosch technologist who was giving them instructions on how to fix the machine (they do not have a repair booklet even for their authorized repair techs). I am totally unhappy and disgusted with their service. They should not be allowed to let their customers be held hostage to a brand new, broken dishwasher. What is our recourse now? Please help me in any way to make this right. I see your box below, we cannot afford an attorney. Thank you.

Long story short, I bought a 500 series Bosch and after 2 months it started malfunctioning. I must say Bosch Customer Services did try to fix it by replacing two computers and a pump, but it still malfunctioned. They finally replaced it after numerous calls, service calls and emails. I bought a different brand. Bosch did call me back unprompted by a call from me to see how things were going and even after it was replaced, I got a call from one of the managers about problems with a dealer refund. I found them to at least care about their customer to go out of the way to assist me. As for the product and I have had Boschs before, it was a lemon. Previous bosch dishwashers were great and my niece even has the same one I had but hers worked beautifully. I purchased an Energy Star Bosch dishwasher about two years ago. It runs quietly but my main complaint is that even when I use the power wash cycle (which I always use now), the dishes just dont come out clean. I need to practically wash them before I load them in. And then after the cycle is finished, the glasses on the top rack always have food remnants on and in them. Also, the dishes sometimes are still dirty in places. I think that being an Energy Star appliance, quality and efficiency have been compromised for the sake of conserving water and electricity. In addition it probably costs me more money to pre-wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher! I also find that the silverware rack is in the wrong place. The silverware catches on the side making the rack stick when you pull it out. It also is on the other side of the dishwasher when loading. I owned a Maytag dishwasher for 12 years and loved it; I never even called a repairman. I will not buy another Bosch!

We purchased in 2013 a top-of-the-line Bosch dishwasher and it is worked well until about two weeks ago, when it just died. My complaint is not the unit but with the complete lack of service that Bosch offers. The unit broke and we called for service and were told at the earliest date they can give us was some 13 days in the future. However that was not to fix the unit only to diagnose the problem. Fixing the unit would take ordering the part and then coming back to reinstall it. We circumvented this problem by calling Sears who diagnosed the problem over the phone ordered the part and was able to schedule us two days before the Bosch service team with would be coming out.As I was outraged at how long this is going to take I called Bosch to complain and they basically told me that they simply do not have enough service people in the area to take care of the products that they sell. I told customer service that this was completely unacceptable and that I would write this review. Avoid Bosch products at all costs. There are others that offer much better service.Updated on 2/14/2015:13 months into owning the unit the control panel went out. We called Bosch to fix it, they told us three weeks hence a repairman would arrive to repair the unit. Instead of waiting we called Sears with whom we have an extended warranty program to cover the unit and they came out 2 1/2 weeks after we called. During the call to analyze the problem and told us they were sending us a new control unit. The day before the visit we realized that no unit had arrived at our house so we called Sears. They told us that the request for the item was denied and they would come out and analyze the problem and order the correct parts. The repair man told us that this is ridiculous, the part shouldve been ordered and waiting for him to install it. He then analyzed the problem, decided that that was exactly the correct part and ordered it and he would be there to put it in a couple of days after it arrived. Upon returning to install the part, Bosch had only sent the cover with none of the control unit inside. The second order was placed this time for the control unit, whose arrival we are still waiting for, now 3 months since the unit broke. The moral of the story is do not buy a Bosch dishwasher unless you can afford two of them, one to keep on reserve while the first one is being fixed.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Lowes in October of 2016. The configuration was somewhat clunky but we dealt with it. We followed all manufacturer recommendations for use and had no problems until April 2019. After loading it and running it the cycle ended before it should have, when I opened the dishwasher it was full of dirty water and the dishes were not clean. I checked the book and online. Followed the directions to empty the water and check the filters. There was nothing blocking the filter. I tried to run it again, stopped after 10 minutes again full of water. Again followed the steps. Called Lowes. Was told that since it was more than a year old I needed to contact Bosch. I contacted Bosch who claimed the problem appeared to be in the control module. They offered a few (3) Bosch Authorized Service Centers, I called the one that was only 30 miles away (closest), after 30 minutes on the phone with model number and serial number they told me the part I needed was no longer available and if I wanted a service call it was $100 up front and they could not get here for two weeks. My husband found the correct part online, ordered it from Bosch ($110 plus shipping), he installed it and the problem was still there. You turn on the dishwasher and it runs for 30 seconds, then claims it is sanitized. We then called a different repair company and they could not figure out what was wrong. We went back to Lowes hoping for at least the offer of a discount from a new dishwasher. No support, they said we should call a local appliance repair company to fix it. I told them I would call a local appliance company to sell me a new dishwasher. Apparently 30 months is the length of time a dishwasher is supposed to last. Very very disappointed with Bosch and with Lowes.
