We bought a Bosch dishwasher SHX series 3 years ago that needed the recall fix. After an hour on the phone trying to get a service call, the repairman was slated for 7am to 5 pm window. When he got here he switched the power cord but the dishwasher did not fit back in slot due to the special new cord. He said I should call an electrician to fix this issue and left. Now I am waiting to pay electrician to fix what the Bosch repairman left me with. BTW the fire and overheating claims started years ago, before we bought the dishwasher, it was not released on the internet that there were serious issues with these devices. I guess Bosch wanted to see how many claims came in before they issued a recall.

I started my claim 5 months ago & still no resolution! Bosch sent 2 different repair companies out to replace parts to our microwave (brand new unit which didnt work correctly from early on). After the repairmen changed the parts, micro still didnt work. I made numerous phone calls (thats putting it mildly!) to Bosch Customer Service advising them that since the new parts did not resolve the problem, what was their next step for me. After being put on hold many times – four times up to 20 min., I couldnt even get thru to management! They are a terrible company to deal with and I want future customers to know how they deal with you by shuffling you around instead of replacing a defective appliance.

This Bosch front loader is the quietest washing machine that I have ever owned. Unlike my previous front loader, it doesnt vibrate when it spins, it seems perfectly balanced. I also like the option of being able to use it as a dryer. Compared with separate driers, it is small, so I only recommend it as an occasional dryer. The wash/drier option is a real space saver, if you dont have enough space for two separate items.

The stainless steel front of the range oven (which must weigh about 5 lbs) which covers the entire door came off and almost broke my toes. The range trim plastic piece which holds the glass onto the oven front broke. We had Sears come out to fix it and they said it was loose and screwed it back on. Then the glass front again fell off, luckily when I was not there. Then we bought $200 worth of new plastic trim pieces and screws from Bosch authorized dealer. Again, the front of the heavy stainless steel door came off. Now, Im just throwing this horror range oven which wants to cut my toes off. It is no longer repairable and I wished I never spent the $200 worth of parts to try to get it fixed. Whatever you do, do not buy the Bosch Gas freestanding range HGS445UC/02 if you don’t want your toes broken.

It cleans OK but lacks a good drying feature. I had a lower model previously and it worked much better than this higher end one. Silverware is still dirty at times, pans and glasses still wet. I love the light at the bottom showing its on because it is so quiet. It has a 3rd shelf, a variety of ways to arrange dishes by either leaving the tines up or down. It seems to be smaller than the older models. Very sleek, hidden controls. The light at the bottom showing it is on almost bleeds across the floor. The lower end model I had before didnt do this, just a red dot. Ive had this one exchanged and it still bleeds all over the floor. Just not up to snuff, like the older, less expensive model was.

This dishwasher is so quiet I often don’t know it’s running. If it wasn’t for the red light that shines on the floor to let me know. I wouldn’t!! I love it. I like that it has adjustable racks and a third upper rack where I put sharp knives so my dogs don’t get hurt if they lick the dirty dishes. Dishes come out clean and shiny.

Bought both a Bosch Hedge trimmer and a Pressure washer with some money I had been given as a present. I, like many other people, had been brainwashed into thinking that German products were the best and that by buying Bosch, Id be buying a good product. Firstly, the Hedge trimmer seemed ok, used it once or twice until the third time it seized up and refused to work. I took it back to the shop I bought it from and was given a new one. That one too, seized up and blew the RCD in the house. The internals had fallen to pieces (cheap plastic). I took that back and got a Black and Decker instead. Worked brilliantly, and still does ten years on! Pressure washer next. Used once. Seemed ok. Not brilliant but average. Used a second time and the lance fell to bit spraying me in the face!!! Cheap and nasty plastics! Took it back and was given another one. Motor failed on that one after 2 months of average usage! Bosch? CRAP!

We looked long and hard for a new range and decided on this based upon the reviews we saw and reputation on Bosch. We use it a lot, especially for stews, pasta and other sauces etc. Unfortunately, this range cannot simmer... I wrote to Bosch and it was suggested that we buy one of their woks. Not interested in cooking pasta sauce in a wok. We bought an outdoor cast iron replacement grill and have been using that on top of the range, but we invested a lot of money for a great range and have to pile up outdoor grills so our dinner doesnt burn? Also – beware of the broil, for garlic cheese bread and most fish weve always kept the door cracked open a bit. Cant do that anymore. Open the door the broiler shuts off. This stinks. We are so disappointed.

I had some issues with the fridge, it wouldn’t cool and also the water dispenser stopped working. The technician came on a number of occasions to figure out what the issue was, of course all at a cost to me. He thought he figured out why it wasn’t cooling and replaced the fan. He told me to purchase a triple valve from Bosch and that should fix my water dispensing issue. So I ordered online straight away. After a few days the item arrived, but I had also noticed that the internal temp inside the fridge didn’t go below 20 degrees Celsius. I decided enough was enough, spent so much on this technician and yet nothing, so I went out and purchased a new fridge. I contacted Bosch and explained the situation, and seek a refund on this triple Valve, technician labor cost as well as the cost for the new fan he had installed because the fridge clearly isn’t going to work. Till now it is still under review. As for the triple valve I sent it back to Bosch at their request (after again explaining to sales why I no longer want the item) at my own expense and yet they still charged me a ‘restocking fee’. I told them I only purchased it at the advice of the technician but because he couldn’t resolve my main issue, I didn’t need it anymore. They wouldn’t budge. I will recommend anyone that is thinking about purchasing a Bosch appliance to reconsider. Their customer service is awful and their technicians don’t seem to know the product too well either.

For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher. I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting friends for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour. I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into peoples homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

When my Bosch dishwasher was 4 years old a safety recall was done at no charge. I had a similar problem again four more years later and called their customer help line to see what it would cost to have a service technician check it out. When I gave them my serial number and explained the problem I was having the representative said it may be the same problem as previous and as it was safety related there would be no charge. Their rate at the time was in excess of $100.00 per hour. I explained to the rep that I did not want to pay that much if there was a possibility it was not the same problem. She assured me that there would be no charge for the diagnosis. The repairman came and found that the electrical connection to the unit had shorted. He installed a new wire connector at no charge even though it was no fault of their product. It has been working fine since then and is now ten year old, but when it does finally die I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher. Their product and service has far exceeded my expectations.

I recently purchased a home that came with a 2015 Bosch dishwasher. I had Miele dishwashers for the past 20 years and a always extremely satisfied. Always cleaned well and never had any bad odor. I assumed Bosch would be similar quality. I was sadly MISTAKEN! From day 1 I noticed it did not clean nearly as well. First we started making sure all dishware was put in perfectly aligned. Never overlapping, then we began rinsing the dishes more than we ever had in the past, then we tried changing detergent, then we put the machine to the heavy and sanitize settings, still every time we unload... I have to scrub, rinse or polish the dishes, glassware or cutlery. What a pain. My sister in law complained a few years ago that she found her Bosch appliances awful, I figured she wasn’t “treating“ them properly. Now I understands what she means. In the end it is not a good product and can never be compared to Miele.

Bosch is known for being quiet. That is very important in homes with open floor plans. I have a large center island where the back of the dishwasher is facing a living space. Because it is only about 58 db, it is practically impossible to hear it running. Furthermore, the end of cycle chime is necessary to know when to empty it. The soil sensor seems to work quite well as it will only run as long as there are soiled dishes. The water temperature gets quite hot, so I know unwanted bacteria is eliminated. Dishes always come out squeaky clean. I love the half load cycle and use it frequently. The energy and water usage is very low. I think that most people who own dishwashers think that the whole unit fills with water each time they run a cycle, and so they are reluctant to run the dishwasher. Many folks, unknowingly, use MORE water by doing dishes by hand than they would have done if they had put them on the proper cycle in the dishwasher. If the owner would read the specifications of actual water usage, they would be surprised how little water a full load uses in comparison to rinsing dishes before placing them in. I also like the fact that I can put delicate items, such as crystal and fine china, and know that nothing is going to come out damaged or cracked. The size of most regular household units will fit into a standard 24 wide lower cabinet. I also think the capacity and overall arrangement of the racks gives quite a bit of flexibility, as no two loads contain the same collection of dishes to be washed to be washed at the same time. This particular unit has a very low-profile handle and doesnt interfere with todays contemporary, clean lines in the kitchen. The handle is sturdy and feels secure. My unit is a nice grade of stainless steel, not a thin gauge that would tend to dent easily. The interior is also a food-grade stainless steel that doesnt collect unwanted odors or corrosion from the soap. If you opt for Bosch, you dont have to get a really expensive, high-end model since they are all extremely quiet and easy to use. Bosch also, in my opinion, exudes an element of high quality, even if its a low-end model. Generally, the higher end machines have options and features that most owners rarely use. I believe that Bosch is a good choice for a discriminating buyer who doesnt necessarily have a huge budget, but wants a beautiful, efficient machine that will last a long time. It is a work-horse that will bring compliments from friends and family for years to come as they have a 25 year warranty on their products.

I bought this elsewhere about three years ago, and have to say at first I really didn't know what to make of it. It's definitely different from a conventional dryer. The drying cycle takes a little longer, and your clothes aren't bone dry when they come out. They aren't damp either. It's like they're on the edge of dry and they dry when you take them out of the machine. After getting used to it, I couldn't live without this dryer - love it. It's perfect for my situation, I happened to have a washer hookup and dryer outlet in my condo, but no vent. This is perfect. The little bit of water that comes out of your clothes will be pumped out of the machine and go down the drainage hose, or if you don't have that option I believe you can sponge it out. Give it a try, it's a great machine.

I had purchased Bosch washing machine (Model No. WAK24168IN/03) on 18/01/2016. On 03-02-2016, I found the washing machine throwing E-18 and stopped working. It was also giving electric shock on touching. Immediately, I called the customer care and registered complaint and they provided technician within 2 days. Technician informed us that drain pump got damaged and needs to be replaced with a new pump which will be fixed on 08-02-2016. From that day to till date, we had no information on the status from Service Center. We kept calling several times and asking the update on the status. They simply gave some stupid reasons and kept ignoring our calls. Finally, they gave us the number ** of senior authority from Bosch Services who had kept awaiting us by telling that he will call and update on the status, and kept postponing the dates without giving any info on the status.I have lost my patience following up the poor and reckless customer service, as it wasted my time as well as money on the name of the brand just for a spare part. If this is the situation of service in the warranty period, then I just cant imagine what will it be after that period. I also pity on customer service who cannot give any information on the address of their Service Center. Washing machine is a very important home appliance in a daily life and we cannot waste any more time on following up people from one side with no response on the opposite side which delayed and disturbed routine planned schedule. Hence, I request you to refund the money or to do the service as quick as possible since it is already one month with no update on the status from the Service Center either through mail/phone.

Our built in microwave 800 series starting having trouble about a year after purchase. The display went dim. We were told it was no longer in warranty so just lived with it. Subsequently the door broke, the fuse blew and the circuit board overloaded and failed/burned out (all out of warranty). The service person came ($200) to tell us the door being crooked from when we bought it caused all these problems because the left and right side triggers were engaging out of sync when opening and closing. The cost to repair the unit would be more than the value of the microwave at original purchase. As for a prorate on a replacement model. Its taken them 6 weeks and counting just to process that request while I continue to get voicemails that a repair person is coming back to fix it (a solution Ive repeatedly rejected as paying over $1000 to repair a microwave is nonsense). Two months of calls to Bosch support several times a week and still waiting to get this resolved. The prorate amount they have offered is a very small discount considering they sold us a lemon in the first place. Very disappointed with bosch at every step and would not recommend the product nor customer service.

We got a real nice deal from Lowes on a Bosch electric range. We had been looking all over for a new one during a slight remodel. Saw the range for approx. half price - clearance - and jumped on it... Our budget (or interest) really did not include thinking high-end. The range is great, with all the bells and whistles we wouldnt have gotten otherwise - quick heating ribbon elements, convection, roasting, and warming oven features, nice black glass finish. Plus, it gets light use from us two empty-nesters. Then about 2 months ago, the glass panel on the oven door just plain fell off! (How can anyone make something that just sits there and then falls apart!?) Luckily, it didnt break. Upon investigation, wifey found a screw in the storage drawer but there are 3 screw holes holding it on via bottom brackets. Looked to me as though the other 2 screws had never been put in. Not only I, but my PhD Mechanical Engineer son-in-law, could not figure out how to get the panel back on... After fooling with it for 2 weeks, I finally bit the bullet and pretty much disassembled the entire oven door to get it back together. During this ordeal, the plastic strip on the top of the door also broke. It now awaits my precision application of super glue to fix. Havent done that yet just because Im sick of fooling with the thing. I will say that during this deal, I called the Bosch hotline for some expert advice, and the guy I spoke to was as friendly and compassionate as any of his breed I have ever dealt with. But even though we both had the same web page in front of us, he cheerfully admitted he was clueless as to how to get the panel back on. All he could suggest was replacing the entire oven door, even though he agreed that that was overkill for the problem which compared to the Bosch dishwasher we bought about a year and a half ago (i.e., now out of warranty)... well, I only thought I knew what an appliance problem was until I met the Bosch SHE3AR5XUC!! It will not drain completely. The detergent will not dispense. The dishes will not dry, let alone sanitize. It is noisy... It is a **. According to my web-based research, I can take it apart and see if something is stuck in the pump impeller, and take more apart and replace or somehow fix the detergent dispenser... Oh, yeah, thats me. Like so many other posters here, we felt pretty good about ourselves having a kitchen with so-called high end appliances. Instead, we feel as though we got suckered into thinking life would be a breeze with the wonderful Bosch stuff in our all-electric dream kitchen. I intend over the next few days to visit the big-box retailer we got our D/W from and state that the only remedy is total replacement. I doubt they will go for that. I will then go to another big-boxer and buy a new D/W. My advice to anyone who has read this far and is considering getting a Bosch anything... your life is too short and your time too valuable to roll the Bosch dice.

I owned a Bosch dishwasher which worked well for 15 years before the timer broke. I did not hesitate to purchase a new Bosch based on my prior experience. If you are thinking of buying one (MODEL SHP65TL5UC) and do not want to throw lots of money out the window and be dissatisfied, I would advise you to seek a different brand. First of all, the dishes do not dry thoroughly and come out with a weird slightly damp feeling even when using a Rinse Aid and normal cycle plus sanitize feature. I have tried to use this beefed up normal cycle with the sanitize cycle even with very lightly soiled dishes and even when the dishwasher is half full because the economy cycle gave me very damp dishes and actually wet plastic bowls. Even with the sanitize cycle which provides extra heat, the bottoms of coffee cups or bowls need to be dried with a towel. Why put things in the dishwasher if you are still drying them??Secondly, there is an ugly smell when you open the dishwasher. I took out the filter and there is about a cup of water that I was told stays at the bottom of the dishwasher at all times (just got this information from Bosch Customer Service). I run this dishwasher twice a week so this same water is just sitting there in an enclosed container for days on end so no wonder the water smells rank - and I have beautiful sparkling sweet tasting well water. How can Bosch deliver a product with such inferior design flaws? I can see from the reviews that many people are having these same problems so Customer Service cannot pretend they never heard this complaint. I intend to pursue this Bosch because I have owned this product for only two weeks and refuse to be stuck with such a bad dishwasher but poor performance with ridiculous design flaws. I guess Bosch is resting on former laurels because I would rank this as a big 0 if there was that option here.

After 2h 45mins on the phone and talking to 10(!) separate people with Wayfair and Bosch trying to get the dishwasher I ordered last Wednesday, that was supposed to arrive on Friday, that I then had to call to find out why it wasnt delivered on Friday, only to be told it was on a truck and could be delivered Sat, but Sat didnt work for us so the next available date was today (Wednesday - 5 days late), only for them to now tell me (after having to call back to find out why I hadnt heard anything about delivery), that there is no dishwasher until at best (!) early November!! I am APPALLED at the customer service from both Wayfair and Bosch in not stepping up to solve THEIR problem. When I called Bosch directly, they told me they couldnt talk to me and that I had to call Wayfair back (yet again). Complete runaround. Ultimately I was told that I should just cancel my order and order something else (like this was my fault!) without any offer to resolve the issue. And finally after 10 people, I still have no real sense if Bosch actually has any dishwashers in stock anywhere. While I wanted a Bosch based on reviews for quality, Im not planning on making ANY future orders. If I could give 0 stars I would. A complete waste of time and effort! STAY AWAY!!

Bosch makes a faulty appliance that can catch on fire and Im lucky that they will fix it? What a joke. Never again.

This is our second Bosch dishwasher. The first one died within a year and was replaced (though it took ages). We loved the way it worked, esp. the silence of it, but were surprised by the failure of a new appliance. The customer service was not great. New house, new DW: this one died within 11 months of purchase and installation. And I am a super-neat-freak the dishes are almost clean when they go in dishwasher user. But still, this new Bosch died 11 months in, and 5 weeks after reporting the problem were still being given the run-around.After trying to replace the board and sensor unit on site this past week, the service guys hauled it away, damaging my cabinetry. And suddenly (lo, presto!) we now, 2 days later, have a leak under our sink, which is adjacent to the DW, from where they pulled the fill/drain hoses and did god knows what. Next time I will camp over their shoulders, video camera on. So: 5 weeks after reporting the Bosch units failure, we have no dishwasher, and are unable to use our kitchen sink. I am disgusted.

I purchased this dishwasher during a kitchen upgrade. Prior dishwashers were noisy and tend to leak over time. One nice feature of this dishwasher is its completely sealed underneath. This keeps the noise level down and of course no leaking out the bottom. One drawback is you may need a longer water inlet line because routing can only follow a predetermined path.

We bought our Bosch Dishwasher from Appliances Connection 2/12/2012, it arrived on 2/22/2012. Our contractor hooked it up on 2/27/2012, he ran a rinse cycle all seemed fine. We ran our first real dishwasher load on the 27th and it kept showing an E-15 error, the dishwasher did not ever finish the first real job. We called Appliances Connection, they told us this is a Bosch problem and they must do the repair work per the warranty. We have had two repair dates with the authorized Bosch repair technician. On March 6th, the Bosch repair tech said that it must be the pump that needs to be replaced. He also confirmed our plumber had made all the correct water connections. On March 14th, another Bosch repair tech came and worked over 2 hours on the dishwasher and could not get it fixed. We contacted Bosch and discussed the problem with their associate. We requested a replacement of our new dishwasher immediately. They made it clear this was not going to happen, as it is new and they will continue to repair until corrected. This is not right! This dishwasher is a lemon. We paid $866 for this machine and almost a month later, we still have only a broken down, unusable dishwasher. (For us that is an incredible amount of money as we are both senior citizens.) Even the repair technicians were frustrated with the way they were communicated to by the Bosch technologist who was giving them instructions on how to fix the machine (they do not have a repair booklet even for their authorized repair techs). I am totally unhappy and disgusted with their service. They should not be allowed to let their customers be held hostage to a brand new, broken dishwasher. What is our recourse now? Please help me in any way to make this right. I see your box below, we cannot afford an attorney. Thank you.

I contracted Apple Air to install a tankless hot water heater during a complete home renovation. The Bosch unit has had nothing but problems since we starting using it. Apple has had a technician here a dozen times and has tried replacing different parts and has had no success. The unit gets freezing cold and then scalding hot intermittently. Even the technician said he can see the codes that are appearing indicating the problem. I’ve been very patient thus far but am tired of being told “we’ll call you back” when they never do. Weeks go by and we hear nothing. It’s not right. At some point they need to admit that the unit is faulty and to either install a new one or issue me a refund because frankly I don’t want to do businesses with this company anymore. Please don’t make the mistake I made by getting schmoozed Apple Air and there salesman John **.

Received a Bosch dishwasher which was installed by a Richards contractor. The machine worked well for 3 months then suddenly died. We had purchased a long term service contract with Richards and were directed to their service vendor (Danmark). It took approximately 2 weeks for a serviceman to come out. Of course, they had to order 2 parts. It took an additional 2 weeks for the serviceman to return. He installed the parts and the washer was still was inoperative. He instructed us to request a new machine which we did. We were contacted by Danmark and were told Bosch requested that another part (the main circuit board which was replaced already) be re-replaced before they agreed to replace the machine. We agreed and the serviceman returned 2 weeks later and replaced the board again. Guess what, the machine still didnt work. Now frustrated, I called the store where the machine was purchased and explained the situation to a store manager. He did, in all fairness, relay my problem to Richards service department because in one hours time, I received another call from Richards. Once again I had to retell my story to this person who assured me I would hear from her the following day. Four days later, theres still no return call from Richards service department. I returned a call to the store manager, retold my story and went out of my way to thank him for effects of relaying my problem to Richards service. I asked for Richards service phone at which time this manager got annoyed (clearly in his voice) and promptly gave me a wrong number. Thank you P.C. Richards, guess youve lost another customer. $1375 may not seem a lot to you, but its a lot of money to me. Im considering a small claims suit against Richards and Bosch and will explore that option.

Have had the refrigerator two months and am happy with it. It's so quiet I almost don't notice when it's running even when I'm in the kitchen. The lighting is good on the interior, adequate in the freezer although the bottom drawer is a little dim. Love the layout of the upper space and flexibility with retractable shelves. Items are easy to see and accessible. The depth of door shelves are great with the exception of the two bottom shelves which are so narrow that they will only accommodate small items, (like hot sauce). As other reviewers have noted, the ice maker is painfully slow so plan ahead. I find the ice maker has a very high pitched hum that is annoying so I make ice then turn the ice maker off until needing ice again which works for us. Love the controls, very easy to use and read and the refrigerator responds quickly to a change in temperature. I'm really picky, did my research before buying, and am really happy with this refrigerator.

I was traveling from MA and was in NYC helping my family member drive to have some tooth surgery done. During my down time went online and as I recently bought the Bosch washer, I wanted to see if there was a dryer out there. Fortunately there was, it was actually an open box at this location, I had a very good experience with the service at this location and also 5* on the product itself too. I went in and was greeting Denise, she was very helpful during the whole process and even allowed my to view the dryer in person in the bay before committing to the purchase. I really liked how quick she got me checked out and was super friendly. I have to give this store 5* for quick and friendly staff. Now back to the dryer. Wow, so nice, best dryer I’ve ever owned in my life. Extremely quite and piggyback ready the washer I just bought too. If you live in a small studio or apt, these are the absolute best washer/dryers you can get for cleaning g and silent operation. One and only drawback, 220v and the hefty type, definitely check your connections first, otherwise! Love it!!!

Purchase Bosch Refrigerator B22CT80SNS. Did not work out of box. Repairman added coolant and worked for about 10 days. When refrigerator quit cooling repairman determined coolant leak inside of refrigerator and non-repairable and Bosch was to replace. When I called them in a week to see why I had not heard anything they said that they were no longer making that model and had no comparable model to give me so would in 4 to 6 weeks come out and pickup non-working new refrigerator and issue me a refund check. Of course by that time will have been without a working refrigerator for over 2 months. Also, I had a kitchen remodel done based on all new Bosch appliances, two of which had cosmetic damage in addition to non-working refrigerator upon delivery. So now even though Bosch cannot provide me with a refrigerator, I have other Bosch products that they will not take back so after a $50,000 plus kitchen renovation I will have mixed brands of appliances in my Kitchen with un-matching handles/hardware. I asked if Bosch would just take all of their appliance back and provide refund and I could start over with a brand that could provide a working refrigerator of course they refused. NEVER BUY BOSCH PRODUCTS.

For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. I would NEVER recommend Bosch appliances and I am VERY disappointed I purchased these products. THE WORST.

Four weeks later, after hearing nothing, we called to find that the parts were not yet in. Less than a week later, now late in May, they arrived. They were installed and the unit worked on June 9th. I had a similar Bosch in a home I purchased in 2015 and I love everything about it. I moved in 2017 and of course purchased another Bosch fridge. This one works well, but it has a feature on the shelves that wastes a huge amount of space and makes the actual useable height of the shelves 1” shorter than the actual height. Somehow I didnt notice it in the store despite looking at it a number of times. It could be that they changed the shelves recently and the store model didnt have the brace across the front of each shelf. Its almost impossible to seein the photos. A tall drink bottle wont fit without angling it and even worse, the upper shelves are only 3 1/4” high instead of 4” high if it didn’t have that weird brace across the front. It make it so that only ver short items can go on that shelf. The bottom shelf in 10’ tall because of the brace, Hill without it, it would be 11 1/8” high. If I can find shelves without the brace, it would be worth it to me to replace these shelves at my own expense because Best Buy won’t do anything about it.

I purchased a new Bosch refrigerator at Best Buy less than a year ago for almost $3,000. The fridge broke in less than a year and when I reached out to Bosch to get a repair they sent me to a third party company that sent out a person who evaluated the fridge and said we needed parts to fix it. They ordered parts, after 2 weeks they told me the parts on back order. I called Bosch directly and they said the parts were being ordered directly from them and they are not on back order. So they suggested to send their own technician to come and fix the fridge with the parts. The technician they sent a week later had no idea why he was there and had no parts. They needed to send a different technician the following week. When he finally arrived he said the fridge is broken and needed to be replaced that it cannot be repaired. Bosch a week later after their process said that fridge is discontinued and they needed to order a different model that is also the same size and cost. We waited another 2 weeks for that fridge and when that finally came it was the wrong size. My 73 year old parents have been without a properly working fridge for over a month. They lost money on spoiled food and having to eat out and had to buy another small fridge to be able to live. The customer representatives seem extremely unorganized, unprofessional. I have never had such a terrible experience. This company is a nightmare to deal with. Our four year old dishwasher was issued a recall as some of the plugs were catching on fire. I did as instructed on the recall notice and an authorized repairman came to the house. He said he couldnt get the dishwasher out without damaging our floors and left. I let Bosch know and they suggested that we get a quote to have the granite countertops removed, so that the repairman could get in. I asked for another dealer but they didnt want another repairman. I called our contractor to remove the dishwasher and the repairman came back to change the plug but refused to put back the dishwasher. The contractor came back to re-install the dishwasher and the dishwasher top rack and sprayer were now broken. Bosch got the fire hazard fixed so they are off the hook for that, but I am left with a broken dishwasher and their so called customer service wont respond. Now, I am forced to replace the dishwasher when I as the customer have done nothing wrong. Bosch cares about avoiding a lawsuit, but could give a whit about the customers experience. Bosch 500 Series HBE5451UC - From installation forward the oven would not heat up to temperature. We bought it through Sears. I called Sears Repair twice. They just gave me the runaround wanting me to bake various things and keep track of how long they took to bake. Sears was not interested in my problem. Called the Bosch Service line. They gave me the name of and excellent repair service that would drive 60 miles to my home in the mountains. The repair technician evaluated the oven and found it had a bad board, I suppose circuit board. It took 3 visits from the repair tech. The wrong board was first sent. Once the correct board was installed the oven is reaching temperature. However it continues to not bake good evenly. It bakes things faster in the back of the oven than at the front. I have to watch or bread or cake will be burned in the back of the oven while still pale at the front. The baking rails are a real danger. There is only one pair of rails with the oven. I tried to buy a second pair so I could bake 2 pans at a time and they are not available. So, I tried inserting a pan without the rails. It is very dangerous!! You have to be very careful or the pan falls out and would dump its contents on the floor. So, the oven has very limited use with only one usable rack for a pan limiting how much one can back at a time. This is the 3rd wall oven we have had in this cabinet in the 40 years we have lived in the house. It is 34 inches up from the floor. Every time I open the oven it blows hot air into my face fogging my glasses. I have to step back and wait for my glasses to clear before I can check or remove whatever is baking. As a Public Health Nurse I am concerned this oven has too many safety issues and is a menace to the consumer.

Dishes appear to be steamed rather than washed. Every coffee cup looks dirty when I remove it despite using the 10-minute rinse cycle on days when I do not run the wash. Everything is sopping wet. The smell from the insulation around the unit to keep it quiet, Ive read is so noxious, that it assaults anyone who comes into the kitchen. Even when the washer isnt running, it stinks. Ive tried leaving the door open so that the water can evaporate and things can dry. I have come to avoid the kitchen and find myself eating out and bringing food in rather than generate dishes. Bosch did not respond to my complaint. I regret purchasing a Bosch and Im angry that its off-gasses have pushed everyone out of the kitchen.

Have a Bosch built-in refrigerator with TWO issues related to the icemaker. Have had it only 6 months, but both problems pretty much from the beginning. First of all, it keeps dropping ice into the tray, and the tray overflows because all the ice drops down in the back of the tray, while the front of the tray pretty much stays empty. Had serviceman here twice, and both times he told me I have to keep pushing the ice from the back of the tray to the front. Told me the manual says that. It doesnt.MORE IMPORTANT - there are little tiny flies and an awful smell in our freezer ever since the fridges circuit breaker blew while we were away for a month. Every once in a while Ill see a tiny larva inside an ice cube. Pretty sure there is a nest in the icemaker or water line. Or possibly in the drip tray. The bugs seem to come out every couple of weeks - probably the gestation time for the new eggs that were laid. Weve never seen a live one - only dead. Had both exterminator & Bosch service person tell us we need to totally uninstall the fridge and clean & disinfect. Seems to me there should be a way to get to the drip tray & icemaker without uninstalling the fridge. Have 4 boxes of baking soda - still have the smell.

Really quiet dishwasher with a water softener built in. No pre rinse required. Really cleans dishes well, is made of stainless steel not cheap plastic like other brands. A little more pricey than bottom line other brands. But if you want a dishwasher that works well and is quiet and will last I recommend the Bosch brand.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Furniture & Appliance Mart in Madi
We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Furniture & Appliance Mart in Madison, WI. This was delivered on 9/16/15 by them. The appliance was professionally installed by our own installer. We ate supper that night & then turned on the dishwasher. It went through one part of the cycle & started making a strange sound that just kept going. We looked at it & saw that we had an E-15 error. This means there is a water leak in the bottom pan. We tried to override & shut this off & could not, so we shut the dishwasher off at the breaker. We contacted Bosch Customer Service & they told us to do something we did not understand. They told us to call back in the morning. We called back the next morning (Thurs) at 8am. They told us Akrit would service this for us & would call us back within 24 hours. I waited around all day Friday & when they didnt call by 4pm, I called Akrit myself. They told me that Bosch never contacted them, but, after searching through something on-line, they found my service call. I told them the problem & Ashley contacted the tech directly & set me up by noon on Monday. The tech showed up on time on Monday & checked out the dishwasher. He did a thorough job & found a small leak in the left rear welded seam. Thats when the problems started. I have a list of times & people I spoke to, to no avail at Bosch customer service. Each one telling me that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. (Joke!) That never, ever happened once! Finally, by 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, we were able to talk to someone at Bosch to set a file (claim) with Bosch. They received a copy of our purchase & a copy of what the tech wrote & told us theyd get back to us within 24 hours. We called again on Wednesday morning. After my husband was told that the person in customer service would not get back to us until at least Thursday morning, we decided to take matters into our own hands. He went into the store of purchase, spoke to the manager, who contacted customer service at their corporate office. They apologized to us & set up a delivery, set-up and new dishwasher & are dealing with Bosch themselves. Bosch Customer Service, in my opinion, does not exist. By the way, our 2nd new dishwasher was delivered, setup & installed Friday afternoon & works wonderfully! This was done only because Appliance & Furniture Mart stepped in & took care of us, their customer. Bosch called us back around 4pm Friday, by the way, 3 days after we set up the claim.

Plastic control panel on Nexxt 500 dryer broke 1st year (2008). Replaced by Bosch. Repairman says it happens all the time. We moved 5 miles. Plastic doors on washer and dryer started cracking. Bosch claimed since we moved they no longer were under warranty. Two inch pieces are continually falling out on/off doors. Washer has never cleaned very good. When enough pieces fall off and seals on doors no longer hold, we will go back to Whirlpool if they are still around. Their products always lasted 10 years plus. Dont know how Bosch got the reviews that convinced us to spend that much money.

The worst dishwasher ever made. My father went through Consumer Reports for the best model of dishwasher to get — the Bosch one was in the top 5. This dishwasher was made for international living not for the American ways of life - busy schedules and raising a family. This dishwasher as with all Bosch dishwashers have a smell that rivals rotting meat. You can’t get rid of the odor it comes back time and time again. It also is extremely difficult to navigate. Dishwashers are to be user friendly. Not hard to figure out. I am not alone in this review. Many others feel the same way.

This dishwasher does a very good job at getting all of my dishes clean. Even those that have dried food stuck to them. It does everything I need it to do. Although, this dishwasher does not have heated dry option. I am fine with this, as the heat from the wash gets most everything dry. It has basic regular, light, heavy duty settings. Thats all I need! It is a traditional/regular size dishwasher. The interior holds everything I need to wash, although the set up of the tines have taken a bit getting used to. I feel if they were orientated differently I might be able to load easier. Its a nice stainless steel washer! When researching this dishwasher, only negative thing I could find was issues with the door latch. Knowing this, I exercise extra caution in opening and closing. It does open stiffly.

We have had 2 warranty claims and repeated problems with the cleaning performance of the machine. For the past year, we have complained and Bosch blames that the poor cleaning is due to the removal of phosphates from detergents. We get a white film on glass and silverware, food left on dishes, and dishes remained greasy. We have tried all of Boschs suggestions but to no avail. We have had the machine for 3 years. Now, we are washing dishes by hand.

If you are considering buying a Bosch fridge freezer, be aware that they have chosen to design the light fitting for the cold water/ice dispenser so that you have to buy a complete replacement module and pay for them to visit your home to fit. Likely cost of all this will easily exceed £200/$300 - just to change a light! Ours lasted less than 3 years, so this would be an expensive fridge if we paid Bosch every time it failed. Next time, well go for a make that doesnt deliberately design products to make money in scams like this. Hope this helps others to avoid getting ripped-off by Bosch.

Our Bosch washing machine is just 4 years old, with very light use and the main bearing has failed. The drum has come loose and caused friction so that it has melted, with smoke from the machine and had to be turned off to prevent a fire. Bosch have not accepted that this is a fault and have refused to inspect the damage. I do not expect this quality from the manufacturer, previous machines have lasted 6 to 8 years. The baskets are rusting even though no objects that could rust were put in there. The light for the main programme failed. The on off - switch failed. My Dishwasher was purchased April 2011, about 1 1/2 years ago it started to stay on for about 3 mins and then go off, so it didnt turn on the first try, then the issue started to get worse, it is up to 10 tries before it goes on. We are very frustrated, maybe I am naive but I was counting on this dishwasher working for at least 5 years.Model Number SHX68E05UC/25 - Before this dishwasher I owned a lower end Bosch dishwasher, the only reason we changed it was because this one was quieter and had the sanitizing feature. I so regret getting it, this dishwasher was manufactured in Germany, with German Engineering etc, but their warranty sucks, they do not stand behind their product. I guess it is all about the money and all lies behind the product hype. I demand satisfaction, we the consumers should not have to fork out more money to repair a defective product. I checked online and it is supposed to be warrantied for 5 years, yet Bosch service warranty says only the timer part is warrantied for 5 years but not the service to install it. Seriously should I throw my dishwasher out after 2 years and purchase a new one?? I want and demand satisfaction for the product I was sold.

We just remodeled our kitchen. We really liked the Bosch Benchmark oven(s), the standard 30, the speed micro, and the steam oven, along with a warming drawer. We embraced their advertising showing these appliances all lined up along a wall, or lined up as well as one above another. Their literature touts the fact that they are all identical in appearance, backed up by the photos they display. We ordered our ovens (as well as the induction cooktop) last December for January delivery dates. Our cabinet maker had the ovens delivered to their location to be sure they built the cabinets to fit the ovens and warming drawer perfectly. We opted for a horizontal install as well as vertically - the standard oven top left with the speed micro to its right lined up horizontally. Below the standard oven is our warming drawer. Below the speed micro is the steam oven perfectly lined up vertically with the micro and horizontally with the standard oven and warming drawer. Then the electricians came out and wired them in. Immediately I noticed the number displays on the standard oven and the steam oven have large numbers in a very nice font, but the microwave has the old fashioned typical pixelated microwave numbers that I have on my old $85 dollar unit! I also noticed that the stainless steel panel that houses the controls are different in their construction! The microwave version looks cheaper! Bosch has spent a lot of money on the advertising concentrating on the type of install I have - lining your ovens up horizontally and vertically - they proudly state that they are identical! They are not! Through my appliance dealer I contacted Bosch hoping that, perhaps, since my micro was built in February 2014 there might be a later run that matched. There isnt. Their answer was, Well, if you dont like it, just turn off the display on the microwave! I am floored by this attitude! It seems quite reasonable to me to expect this very simple part of the construction of these ovens to match!! Our install arrangement even makes it look worse by putting the odd one between the better ones! Well, I am stuck with them now since we had custom cabinetry built to house them. All I can do is pass on the word. Thank you for reading this.

A Bosch compact pair (each 24 inches wide) has been great for 15 years, and the dryer just died, and I replaced it with this unit so I could still plug the old Bosch washer into the dryer for power. Bosch is only making ventless dryers now, and I bought this against my better judgment because the reviews of the ventless dryers have been terrible. Bosch apparently went to ventless because of new regulations about lint fires in ducted dryers. This dryer is great! The automatic sensor is adjustable for different levels of dryness. It is faster than the previous vented Bosch dryer, and the clothes come out perfect. The fact that the washer spins to 1200 means the clothes are already pretty dry. If your washer does not spin at 1200, that might explain why clothes would take a long time to dry in this dryer. The condensation unit at the bottom of the dryer drains into a hose which empties into the same drain as the washer. (If you have a 3 prong outlet, the manual shows how you can rewire the dryer for a 3 plug cord, or you can replace the outlet) . Some warm dry air is emitted from the dryer and we use it to help heat the house when it is cold. Why waste this source of heat? In the summer I will direct the warm air into the garage or turn on the exhaust fan in the laundry room. In short, we are thrilled with this dryer. We have only had it a short time, and hope it will last as long as its predecessor.

Have had my Bosch front loader clothes washer for over 5 years. Bought it because I wanted to do my part to minimize my foot print in water usage. Yep. A pain the whole time. My saving grace on major repairs is that I bought an extended warranty thru Lowes, although theyve had trouble getting the right part from Bosch. (Certified Bosch repair is expensive and not readily available even in Houston.) Dryer has not been QUITE the pain of the washer. It does dry close really well. Just breaks down once a year and tangles your clothes.Longest wash cycle I have EVER seen... 45-60 minutes. The spin cycle works well enough, but your clothes get all tangled together, so they are more wrinkled. (So the efficiency of the dryer didnt speed up laundry duties. Dryer sits empty while I wait on the washer to finish... the opposite of washers and dryers of the past.) Right off the bat, the washer began to smell and the clothes, too. (Everyone must know this by now. Four years later, Tide comes out with a washing machine cleaner. Now the machine to clean my clothes needs a cleaner!!) Called for warranty work. Of course, they said it was MY fault. Too much detergent. NO. Wrong detergent. NO. Too large a load. NO. Too much fabric softener. NO. Well, then they say, leave it open between washes and run an empty wash with Clorox every few days. Excuse me? THIS is saving water??? Have to use a bleaching scrub and bristled brush to clean the rubber gasket around the door from the mold and mildew every couple of months, and run an empty wash to clean it before washing clothes again. (What do you think it looks like INSIDE where I cant see or reach???) So, we NEVER leave a washed load in for more than an hour, because it will need washing again.) Also run a bleach wash at least once a week (another delay), as a preventative measure, and supplement with small amount of baking soda. AND the clothes often dont smell clean. EVERY spot needs pre-treating. Towels are particularly tough to get smelling clean, and often the hand towels dont come clean in the most used areas.About every fifth wash load, the finished load is soaking wet. Since I cant tell when it malfunctioned, and if it did so with detergent in it (low sudsing detergent), I have to wash the load again. Another hour-long delay. P.S. Front loaders need to be raised, set up on a platform. Extra expense in purchase (and delivery and tax). You STILL have to lean down to drag the wet clothes out, and it locks you out (as it would have to) so you can never add a last minute item of clothing or extra cleaning product. Now, my start button is beginning to be difficult to press to start the process. AHHH! Well, I am off to read other blogs on other washers. Hubbie says GET ANOTHER WASHER! We have struggled long enough. And the Lowes warranty is expired. I will dismantle this one so that no one can ever get stuck with it.

I recently moved into a new construction townhome with a Bosch Dishwasher. I immediately noticed the dishwasher had some issues and a pump ran for about 3-4 days after the cycle was finished. I called Bosch customer service and they said if they sent someone out and there was an installation vice a mechanical error I would be charged for the trip despite the dishwasher still being under warranty. I can understand that if they didnt do the installation they would not be responsible for installation issues, but charging for the trip (I cant remember the price, but it wasnt insignificant) is ridiculous when its a brand new dishwasher. How am I expected to know what the problem is? I didnt know what the source of the problem was, so I decided to wait and contact the installer. I finally got an appointment made through the installer about a month later (the repairman was actually a Bosch employee anyways). He determined the tub was cracked and not repairable. I will admit it took me about a week to send them my closing documentation from the house (proof of date of purchase), although I feel like they should have a record of sale to the builders someplace. The appointment was in mid June. It is now end of August and I still dont have my dishwasher.Bosch called me once by accident and said they would be in touch within 24 hours to confirm I was eligible to have my dishwasher replaced. I called them multiple times to see what the hold up was, they never had a good excuse (kept saying it would be 5-7 business days to verify that I was eligible for replacement). I dont know how long it takes to verify that a dishwasher is less than a year old, but apparently it takes Bosch over 2 months. What finally broke my cool and had me write this interview was my final few calls with Bosch and the installer. I called the installer and they said they were only waiting on the approval paperwork from Bosch and said they would call Bosch again to have it sent. I called Bosch again the next day and they said they would send the paperwork within 30 min.I called the installer for the, hopefully, final time today and discovered they finally have the paperwork, but they dont actually have a dishwasher for me yet and wont have one for another 3 weeks! This is absolutely ridiculous. I can put up with a lot, but the level of incompetence and amount of blame passed back and forth between the installer and Bosch is intolerable. They obviously do not stand by their product and are incapable of processing the simplest paperwork. This is actually the first review Ive ever written, I know that makes some people disregard it, but its because of their complete incompetence I feel infuriated and obligated to get this experience in writing. I didnt even use any swear words. Their product isnt bad from what I can tell, but they need to fix their customer service.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in 2012. 2 years later, 2014, the racks had issues with the protective plastic coating peeling off the prongs that hold the dishes in place. I was able to replace both the top and bottom racks at no charge by Bosch. In 2018 the racks again had the same issue with the coating peeling off the prongs, on both the top and bottom racks. Today I was told after working with customer no service for 2 months that the racks are not covered and I would need to pay for new ones. NOT happy with the service as well as the dishwasher. Our old dishwasher pump failed after 17 years, so we decided to replace the dishwasher. I spent a lot of time investigating different appliances, and we decided to go with a Bosch. It hasnt turned out so well. First, we had constant horrible smells coming from inside the dishwasher. We contacted Bosch, but they didnt advise of any fixes. We saw on the internet that this was a common issue with Bosch (after we owned it). We did finally find a solution by changing the location of the drain line and where it ties in to the garbage disposal. I would have thought Bosch could have offered that fix, but they didnt. The second event has been disastrous. Theres a valve on the bottom of the dishwasher, not sure if it is the drain discharge valve or a water inlet valve. We wont know until the repair person that Bosch is sending takes a look. We accidentally discovered that the valve has failed and is leaking (again, we are seeing this complaint on the internet now). This valve failure has ruined our hardwood floors as well as the finished ceiling in the room below. We wont know how extensive the damage is or if mold is present until we pull up the hardwood floor. We are guessing that theres thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to remove and replace the floor and the ceiling below. I have no idea what mold remediation cost could be if we discover theres mold. I thought I was getting a high end appliance that would be trouble free. I would have saved money by replacing the pump in the old dishwasher. Since this seems to be a common problem, Im surprised that Bosch didnt contact us to replace this valve versus allowing a faulty part to ruin our home. Bosch has opened a claim for us and is sending a person by to inspect. We will see how good their customer service is with regard to this issue. More to follow.

We bought a Bosch dishwasher she68t55uc mid 2014. It has been great but all of a sudden last month December 2016, the dishwasher started making a squealing sound. We called and a repair man came. He chipped my counter which I had to fix, he had to break the door hinge because it was fine before he came, but after coming twice to repair it, the squeal is still here. Said it was the drain pump, so they replaced it, but it still squeals. They admit they are not familiar with working on Bosch but Lowes picked them to work on it. Not sure why. So Lowes will replace as under extended warranty, but I hope to pick a kitchen aid instead. I had a Kenmore elite for 18 yrs and it was still working when I replaced it with the Bosch, but it had become too noisy over the years. But it was a great one!! Wish I had bought another Kenmore.

I bought a Bosch washing machine - maxx7 - less than three months ago because my previous one which I had for 9 years presented a problem. Since day one I noticed that some sheets were rotten like someone ripped them with a knife. My cleaning lady said that was because they were too old. Maybe but since then more items suffered either by that or by holes! This problem had never happened with my old machine - Ariston brand - or with the neighbors AEG one, never! The technician came the other day he found no fault and said that I was loading too much the machine. He operated the quick cycle 15min and no problem appeared! He instructed me on how many clothes to load and I did as he said in front of him. Just after part of those clothes were ripped off again! In anger I called the company. They spoke to me angrily and agreed, in goodwill, as they said to send again the technician another day and to wash some shirts of the company as a test. I proposed to try with my own clothes that we would examine before and after. They did not agree. Same technician came, performed the quick cycle, instructed me again not to spin at 1000 cycles but to prefer the 600 cycles - there is no less! No problem, left. Since then many more clothes are destroyed. Childrens Benetton clothes, sheets by Cocomat I bought 2008 and 2009 and some other brands as well. In more than half the cases I use the sensitive cycle! For even cotton clothes and I ALWAYS spin at 600 or sometimes I choose the without spinning option! No visible difference! My husband says we should throw this away but really we dont have money to throw away. Of course I say this now before my whole wardrobe is destroyed! I also never have the time for internet as I am always busy with the house and young children but I am so angry I have no other means to protest and I am writing this now in expense of my little private time! I am posting a small sample from my clothes in the after condition! They were washed at the sensitive cycle, 600 spinning, 30 degrees, the skirt and the barbie shirt are brand new, other 2-3 years old!

Purchased Bosch dishwasher (Dishwasher SHX68T55uc/01) from Lowe’s - came without plug to connect to power. Was told several times by Bosch customer service that the power cord was an option. The power cord has a special plug associated with it so it cannot be connected to power without the special cord. Also the rubber gasket on the side of the unit was pinched in the door and had taken an improper set which interfered with the door seal. Bosch said since this was a floor model that it was purchased as is. I also received a sound deadening device with the unit that Bosch denies belongs to them. A brand new dishwasher bought from a local major appliance store installed by a licensed contractor in a kitchen remodel project malfunctioned just outside the regular warranty period from Bosch. Bosch solicited me through email and regular mail of an extended warranty which I accepted. Prior to signing up, I actually spoke directly to a real person/sales representative of the company about the eligibility for repairs under the extended warranty. I was told yes very affirmatively. They took my money and then advised that I could not call in my first repair service for the first month. So I waited patiently and finally called in for repairs. They denied the warranty service by citing pre-existing condition. Im mad. I tried to explain that it is a condition which had deteriorated over time (washing cycle not completing in different stages) which I had explained to the sales rep from the beginning. Bosch misled me, took my money and made me wait a month to make the first claim only to deny it. Im so disgusted with the whole process that I just want my money back and take my business elsewhere or buy a new dishwasher from another manufacturer. They are not giving my money back so Im venting my frustration. Im so upset that I have to deal with dirty dishes for a month when I could have just go out and buy a new dishwasher. The dishwasher is an expensive model: SHP65TL5UC. I regretted that I also purchased other major kitchen appliances from this company. Dont buy Bosch!!!

In the last few months I bought a trimmer from Amazon and was delighted wit
In the last few months I bought a trimmer from Amazon and was delighted with the product, however recently the battery started to spark and the trimmer now doesn’t work. I called up the service centre 2 days ago, I spoke to the most delightful lady who was really helpful and explained to me what the process was to get the trimmer fixed. Explained that I would need to print off a courier label that will need to be taped to a box that will hold trimmer because the a third party courier will be picking it up. I explained I don’t have a printer at home and live a in a small remote village and will not be sure when I can get to a printer. She said that it’s fine and that she will send me a pre print receipt and I can print that and then call her back to sort out a delivery.I didn’t receive the email with the label so I decided to call back today to try and get it sent back to me. I dial the number and give my reference number and let the man know I’m waiting for an email. To my surprise the man on the phone was rude and unprofessional, belittling me by saying that is not the process and that I need to arrange it and then get the email to me once it’s been processed.I try to explain the situation with the printer to get the label. He said, No need for a label but you need proof of purchase in the box. I said well printing is not really an option for me because of my situation to which he gave me ‘tough luck’ attitude. Then went on to say, Well do you want to arrange it or not? I replied to enquiry can I arrange it for a future date, which he said, No. We only do it 24 hours in advance, then he was of no help and pressured me to answer like I didn’t have time to even think about whether this is an option for me. And then he went on to say, The previous person you spoke to told you the wrong information. I’ll look up who it is and have them retrained. Disgusting attitude bad mouthing your own colleagues like that. This has been one of my worst experiences with customer services given my initial interaction was one of the most pleasantest conversations. Poor customer service and I’ll be glad this is the last time I buy from you again.

Hi, On December 2, while I was self-cleaning my oven, the glass shattered. I paid extra for an extended warranty. I contacted Bill Smith Appliances where I bought the range. I also sent an email to Bosch customer services. Yesterday, 7 days later, someone from Bill Smith came out to determine the cause of the glass shatter. He indicated that it was a fault of Bosch manufacturing and the quality of the glass that was used. Today, when we called Bill Smith, they indicated that the repair had to be approved by Bosch and then the part would be ordered.According to them, it could take an additional 2 weeks before the oven was repaired. This is unacceptable! I have already been without my oven for 1 week, so if it takes 2 more weeks, I will not have my oven working for a total of 3 weeks! At this time of the year, this is extremely inconvenient because I cannot do any of my regular Holiday baking. I also tried contact Bosch. This is a nightmare! I have called them at least 20 time. The call does not go thru and I get a busy signal. Absolutely, no one answers the phone! I really dont think there even is a person available to answer!Bosch is considered to be a premium appliance brand. However, and this range is not quality and does not meet Bosch’s reputation and the price associated with it. This glass should NEVER have shattered, especially on the first time the oven was cleaned! My expectation is that the oven could be cleaned many times and survived with the glass intact. In addition, the service to repair has too much red tape and is extremely slow resulting in great inconvenience to the customer! Please speed this repair up, so that my oven will be repaired in a few days, not 2 more weeks! This is the Holiday Season. An oven is an essential appliance! Best regards, Cindy **.

A hole formed in the bottom of my SS dishwasher drum. The warranty says that Bosch will replace the unit. Instead, they are just refunding the purchase price from 5 years ago, that I had gotten a really good price on. Bosch told me to take it up with Sears, where I had purchased it before. Why? Bosch did not take a loss or gain. Its their product and they should do what the warranty says. Do not buy a Bosch!

Have had three Bosch dishwashers but this is the first time that I have encountered the detergent dispenser not being cleaned out of the detergent tabs that were put into it. It has happened twice so far and I cannot find any instructions that would tell me I am not loading it correctly or something is blocking the detergent dispenser from getting sufficient water to empty its contents into the water at the bottom of the washer and be used during the wash cycle!!!
