I currently use a Bosch SHE4AM dishwasher. The reason the Overall experience is lower than the other ratings is that I have several dishes that just dont fit well in this dishwasher. It cleans well, doesnt leave spots (I do use a rinse agent) and dries the dishes well. And it holds lots of dishes if they are thin. If your dishes are chunky, you will have difficulty loading them and wind up washing more often with fewer dishes in the racks. I would recommend a Bosch dishwasher and will buy another, but I will probably take some dishes to the appliance store with me to see how they fit.

WALL OVEN: I bought Bosch Benchmark appliances for my home. I am now on the 4th repair for the wall oven (exact same problem all 4 times) in a year and still Bosch hasnt figured out theres a problem with this oven. All 4 times when the oven stopped working I was without the use of my oven for 20-25 days waiting for repairmen, parts or be ordered, etc. 80 days in total so far in less than a year that I have not had the use of my oven, and counting. AND to make matters worse, the only time I use this oven is when I have guests, the rest of the time for myself and my husband to make small meals we use the smaller speed oven. So, 4 times in less than a year there has been multiple guests in my home for dinner parties, and the oven has stopped working. Add all those people up and youll see how many people have walked away with a bad opinion about Bosch appliances. Not to mention that at each dinner, because my oven stopped working, I had to resort to ordering in for my guests and all the fresh fish and chicken etc that I had bought to prepare for my guests had to be frozen because I knew Id be without my oven for another 20-25 days before I could bake it.SPEED OVEN: I also have the Bosch benchmark speed oven, that too has had one repair in less than 6 months of being installed, same problem as what I had on the wall oven. Thankfully the speed oven got repaired and seems to have been working fine ever since (knock on wood). COOKTOP: I also have a Bosch induction cooktop. No problems as of yet with that. Im keeping my fingers crossed but Im scared to death because my trust in Bosch is so very low.I have told everyone that comes in my home and raves about my gorgeous kitchen renovation DO NOT EVER BUY BOSCH. And most of them have seen it first hand now how bad the appliances are because theyve all been at my home at one time or another in the past year and seen the oven fail in front of their own eyes. So Ive got lots of witnesses and sadly Bosch has lots of people who know to never buy their appliances. 2 of the families who were at my house in the past year and saw the wall oven stop working, have now done their own kitchen renovations and both of them made a choice NOT to buy Bosch because they said they would not take the chance seeing all the problem I had with mine.I have kept a detailed journal of all my repairs, dates, time, conversations, videos, etc. Because I am fairly certain that I will end up suing the retailer and/or Bosch for breach of warranty/contract and for not disclosing material facts prior to my purchase. But because its still under extended warranty Im going to keep letting them repair it as many times as they want, and I will keep my journal and history so that shortly before the warranty wears out I will then sue and force them to give me a full refund... I cannot accept a replacement oven because Bosch does not have another wall oven that could be installed in my kitchen without me doing a kitchen reno again (which is not going to happen).

We purchased four Bosch appliances in January 2011 and by November 2011, there was rust on them. Our fridge looked like someone sprayed the rust on it. It is that bad. We contacted Bosch and they sent a service person to look at it and confirmed the problem. He said that the appliances werent 100% Stainless steel because he tested it with a magnet and there was some magnetic attraction. Anyway, he then tried cleaning it per his instructions from Bosch and the rust remained. We contacted Bosch about what the service man said and then was told that the appliance were only warranted for 30 days for cosmetic defects and we should try cleaning it again. We tried cleaning again this time using a very fine steel wool. Some spots were removed but still left a residual stain but many, many spots the rust remained. We then contacted Bosch again. They asked us to send pictures and then they offered to give us 50% off replacement parts as their solution to the defective appliances we paid full price for. This is not the answer we expected from a company who sells what they call top of the line appliances. We were told that the problem of rust was because our condo is on the ocean in FL I cant believe that everyone living on coastal America has had rust problems on their appliances with in a year of purchase. Our Floridian neighbors dont seem to have this problem with other brands. Also we had purchased Bosch appliances for our CT home in 2007and have no rusting problems and we live a block from the sea. I read on rekitchen.com that Bosch warranties against rust on dishwashers. This obviously is not true. From what Ive read here, Bosch does not live up to their reputation!

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in August 2009 from Freidmans Appliance in Pleasant Hill, CA. I had my last dishwasher, a Whirlpool for over 20 years without a single problem. Freidmans told me they were out of stock of the model that I originally ordered and substituted in the SHE45M05UC. I ordered the model just below this one. I noticed after I began using it that the rack continually got stuck even when I pushed it in very carefully. This caused many of my dishes to break when they clashed against each other as the rack jammed. I have a stack of cracked and chipped dishes, and have suffered a lot of damages. Freidmans did nothing to help me when I reported it to them. I didnt live in my house or use the dishwasher in 2010, I am the only one who uses it and I only run it about once a week or so. I also reported the problem to Purcell Murrays showroom in Brisbane and talked directly to one of the owners about it and he failed to replace the dishwasher. About a month ago towards the end of June, all of a sudden a huge amount of suds came poring out of the dishwasher as it was running. When I opened the dishwasher it was full of suds and full of water at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Freidmans and spoke to Shannon who told me she would call Bosch service center to see what could be done and she would call me the following day. She never called me. I left several messages for her yet she failed to return my calls. I recall back in 2009 when I talked to Steve, the man who sold me the faulty dishwasher - he never would return my calls and he refused to exchange the dishwasher when I reported the fault with the rack that always sticks. I went into Freidmans yesterday to follow up because Shannon had failed to call me as she said she would and had not returned my calls. The salesman Steve had a little smile on his face as I discussed the issue with Shannon. Shannon again said shed call me the next day which was Monday, yet she didnt call the next day. Today I called for Mathew **, the store manager, just as I did back in 2009. Mathew does not ever return calls. I was told by Shannon that Mathew would call me in a few minutes and now one hour later he has not called me. I called a couple of times asking for Mathew and he would not come to the phone. I have used the dishwasher no more than 200 times in the past years and most of the time it is only half full and I run it on light. Now it does not work at all!! You dont want to do business with Freidmans in Pleasant Hill, CA and definitely dont want to purchase Bosch appliances. I know there is a class action lawsuit against Bosch for their washer dryers and I bet there are enough consumers with dishwasher problems to support a suit for the dishwasher defects. Bosch does not support or stand behind their products and Freidmans doesnt either. In fact I have never experienced such inconsideration for customers as I have at Freidmans. They are just about making a fast buck and could care less if their customer is ripped off. What do you say?

For example, my mountains are not blue on my Coors Light. Now the fridge is making all kinds of loud noises. I am waiting for a tech to come out to look at it. Took a week because they will only come out on a day when theyre in that area... Pissed me off. Plastic control panel on Nexxt 500 dryer broke 1st year (2008). Replaced by Bosch. Repairman says it happens all the time. We moved 5 miles. Plastic doors on washer and dryer started cracking. Bosch claimed since we moved they no longer were under warranty. Two inch pieces are continually falling out on/off doors. Washer has never cleaned very good. When enough pieces fall off and seals on doors no longer hold, we will go back to Whirlpool if they are still around. Their products always lasted 10 years plus. Dont know how Bosch got the reviews that convinced us to spend that much money.

Over the past 7 years, I have had the dishwasher serviced for a malfunctioning handle, leaking all over the floor, and excessive build up. I have spent approximately $573 on repairs and now it is leaking again with the build up. I have contacted Bosch and they will not help me unless I pay for the repair dealer to come out again for an official diagnosis. To get this diagnosis, it will cost me another $150. The best Bosch will commit to is pay for parts. This is ridiculous!

After the cleaning, we noticed that large to medium specks of grease were embedded in the glass of the oven door. A Bosch representative came and took a look. He said it was a function of the oven. We called customer service and elevated the call to a supervisor who said the same thing and if we wanted to clean the glass, we would have to pay for that ourselves. I am writing this because this was an expensive combined oven (microwave and regular oven). Had I known of this issue, I would have purchased a different oven. Weve had self-cleaning ovens for 47 years in four different homes and never had a similar issue.

Worst customer experience. Save yourself the nightmare and dont buy Bosch appliances. I spent nearly $3k on a new washer and dryer from Bosch. After almost 3 months I still dont have both machines fully functioning. This is incredibly inconvenient since I have a young child and have to do laundry frequently. Bosch has given my husband and I the run around repeatedly. Their customer support is terrible. Weve lost 4 vacation days staying home for repair men and at least 20 hrs of calls and being on hold. They call at 9 pm the night before they come with a window, they change the times, cancel appointments. It just never ends. They obviously dont care about their customers. I would never recommend buying anything from them.

We bought a Bosch dishwasher SHX series 3 years ago that needed the recall fix. After an hour on the phone trying to get a service call, the repairman was slated for 7am to 5 pm window. When he got here he switched the power cord but the dishwasher did not fit back in slot due to the special new cord. He said I should call an electrician to fix this issue and left. Now I am waiting to pay electrician to fix what the Bosch repairman left me with. BTW the fire and overheating claims started years ago, before we bought the dishwasher, it was not released on the internet that there were serious issues with these devices. I guess Bosch wanted to see how many claims came in before they issued a recall.

Three years ago, I purchased a stackable washer and dryer for my condominium. Since I had limited space for these products, I chose Bosch. Now, the dryer stopped working so I call a repair service. $450.00 later, the unit still does not work. I called directly to Bosch to see what they could do about my problem. They sent a tech to review the problem and he diagnosed it as a failed control module. Bosch wanted me to pay for the service and the part which would have been another $300.00 or so. To total this cost so far ($750) if I replaced the part is not a good idea because I could get a new dryer for about $800.00. I feel that Bosch product is inferior and service is zero. As a small business owner, I think this is disgraceful. I stand behind my products and service and incur extra service costs when I have to. Even though it sometimes erases my profit on the job, I always take care of my customers. This is a big company and can well afford to take care of their customers in a proper manner.

The first time we had Bosch out for a recall issue with the door. They repaired it and re installed the dishwasher crooked and out of level. I called and was told they can schedule it for a few days later. I DID not want to take another day off work so I dealt with it myself. It was a pain! I called them a week ago re draining issues and had to wait a week for them to come out. I received an e mail from them telling me they would call the day before or the morning of the service call to narrow the time slot down a bit. This made me happy. No call yesterday or early this morning. I called them and they said they would check into it and call back. They called back and told me the service guy hurt himself and was not coming. They said not to worry, they can have someone out in a few days. This would be a second day I would have to take off work, I could have purchased another new dishwasher for the 2 days I need to take off. Do not buy Bosch appliances, terrible appliances and worse service.UPDATED ON 11/02/2015: On Oct 6th I sent in a review about how bad Bosch dishwashers are and the service was even worse. Since then they sent a service tech from an outside organization out and the service person said the line was clogged, not a dishwasher problem. I asked why the dishwasher just stopped mid cycle and would not go any further including pumping water out. He said to get rid of the air gap loop the hose up and connect it directly to the disposal and all will be fine. I did as he said and not only is it against the national code, but all is not fine. The Bosch people do not respond to my emails. DO NOT BUY BOSCH PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU ARE A **. There are many similar complaints about Bosch and their products.

If you are considering buying a Bosch fridge freezer, be aware that they have chosen to design the light fitting for the cold water/ice dispenser so that you have to buy a complete replacement module and pay for them to visit your home to fit. Likely cost of all this will easily exceed £200/$300 - just to change a light! Ours lasted less than 3 years, so this would be an expensive fridge if we paid Bosch every time it failed. Nice but not that nice. My salesman very highly suggested this dishwasher so I bought it for $900. The good? Its very good looking. The bad? I do not find it any better than a $500 dishwasher from GE. Its quiet but not silent. It seems to clean dishes fine but it will not dry them no matter what you try. I live in a very very dry part of the country and no matter how much or how little I load this machine up with... and select Extra Dry when I open the dishwasher in the morning after running at night... not only are the dishes and cups still wet but so is the inside of the dishwasher. So, whats the point of having controls to select dryness? Oh, the (3) not 4 legs are plastic and all 3 of them broke off when I tried to slide the dishwasher. Great huh? Funny, I know steel legs may cost another $5 but I dont remember arguing with the salesperson about $5. so why not raise the price by $5. and get rid of the cheap cheap cheap plastic legs. My brand new $900 dishwasher now sits on wooden blocks... Great idea... Plastic legs.

The one star is for the quiet dishwasher purchased. It is quiet probably because it does not work. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher because it was supposed to be top of the line in dishwashers. Unfortunately, I was swayed to the quietness and not the cleanliness. The racks are designed for the number of dishes it can wash. Unfortunately, I need to wash frying pans, bowl, utensils, cups, glasses, etc. Considering that it holds so many dishes, nowhere is there a China or crystal setting. Worse yet, my load is not complete clean, even on the heavy cycle, even though I am using the recommended Finish products. There is no room for bowls, large dishes. Plastic items have a film remaining behind and pots or fry pans still have food in them and a greasy feel to them. Unless you plan to buy the most expensive Bosch model you would be better off with a less expensive model with generic racks that fit the items you cook with as well as just dishes.

After about 2 years, the pump/motor went out and the cost of repair is approaching $500 plus labor. Bosch, when contacted by phone, said it is out of warranty and we were on our own. One would reasonably expect a reportedly high-end product, lightly used, to last longer. And if for some reason it failed, one would reasonably think that the manufacturer would provide some type of support to make the product work (as designed and advertised) at a reasonable cost to the consumer. Note - this is a $600 dishwasher.

The drum that houses the dishwasher and holds the water in was pierced in manufacture. It took us one month and many phone calls to get a Bosch technician out to tell us it was not repairable and authorize replacement. It then took Bosch 8 weeks to find a new replacement dishwasher and someone to install it. We live in Philadelphia, you could trip over plumbers in our neighborhood. Now it is less than a year since we have the brand new replacement and it no longer works. Waited 2 weeks to get a technician out to tell us that the pump, mother board and one other part have gone bad. Problem is they are not in stock so now we are one month into no working dishwasher (again) and still waiting for repair. Each call to Bosch is at least a 20 minute wait on hold (apparently they have a slew of problems to deal with) and it takes at least 3 phone calls to get anyone out to your house. Just dont do it. Save yourself the hassle.

After cooking a pot roast I accidentally got pan drippings on the oven door. I wiped them up and closed the oven door and found that drippings poured inside and became trapped between the glass. This is a minor incident and I cant find anyone to help. The manufacturer had no advise on how to solve this. I called various appliance repair services and no one will help.

We purchased this Bosch model brand new about 2.5 years ago. We noticed intermittent cooling problems even during the first summer of use when it was hot outside but they were intermittent and therefore impossible to diagnose. At the end of this June the freezer compartment went up to 40 degs (it was 12 hours before we noticed it because the system did not alarm as it was supposedly designed to do). A repairman diagnosed the problem as a slow low side leak requiring $1200 to repair (not including the diagnosis which was another $250). Considering its short life span, it seems to be highly likely that this was a defective refrigerator at purchase time. Technically it is 6 months out of mechanical warranty by calendar days if you compute time from purchase to complete failure. However, anyone taking an honest look at this situation would conclude that the problem causing this failure started during the warranty period and Bosch should take responsibility for repairing it. As this problem seems to be posted fairly frequently I think it should be the subject of a legal action against Bosch. At the very least I advise anyone reading it to do a frequency search for this complaint and re-think the BOSCH purchase in lieu of a more reliable product.

After 16 months the drain pump has stopped working and shown e24 on the panel. Did our research online, clean the filter, reset... no success. Called customer services and the respond I got, the warranty has expired after a year so you have to pay for the labour $129 cost and parts will be extra. Why should I pay, My last dishwasher lasted for 15 years (still working but not very energy efficient). So I have to wait for 48 hours for management approval. Well it has been more than 3 days, no respond. After a few phone calls, Bosch finally responded and agreed to pay only for the parts. Lesson learnt, Bosch never purchased again.

I had called the factory service (Dale ** at **) and also talked to the service manager Ron ** to have my dryer repaired. The problem was first tried to fix on August 8th, 2011 where I had paid close to $300. But the problem of the clinging and banging noise did not go away. After 2 more visits, the service man had ordered new parts that seemed to be delivered always wrong. Today, after 3 months later, my nerves are blank listening to this banging, clinging dryer noise, which I have to hear 3 times per week. Nobody calls anymore to show any effort to fix this problem. How can it be that Bosch cannot fix their own machines? I think that I have been more than patient. And if you cannot repair what is wrong with my dryer, then I deserve a new machine. Or, deduct the already paid $273.25 and get me a new dryer.

Bosch stated that they cannot take responsibility if its an installation related issue. I have been dealing with a non-working tankless water heater for about a week, and Bosch customer service keeps telling me from pictures I sent that the install is incorrect. I have had many technicians come into my home and verify the setup and that Bosch, a reputable company, should accommodate us. Its been under 5 years since we have used these units and with not having hot water for almost a week and the countless phone calls to Bosch and emails with pictures, I am resorting to going to the Better Business Bureau. We had the town of Clifton verify everything before they issued us a Certificate of Occupancy. This CO would not be issued if a potential threat was posed due to incorrect installation. We also called Clifton City Hall, who said install was done according to city code. Of two, only one tankless water heater works. I will mention all over social media how Bosch treated this situation and my overall experience. We had to pay multiple amounts to the plumbers who visited our home, who ended up telling us this is something Bosch should be handling for us. Where is Bosch when this customer needs them to help? The 15 year warranty is mighty easy to void isnt it. Also, if Bosch is so confident that the install is incorrect, why doesnt Bosch come here and take a look themselves? Id appreciate a response as this is getting extremely frustrating.

My Bosch combination microwave/convection oven just stopped working for the 5th time in 5 years, and my extended warranty just expired 5 days ago. I would NEVER recommend this appliance. I thought Bosch was a great brand name, but its been my experience that their ovens are inferior. The control panels went black each time and had to be replaced. Having the extended warranty was so worth the extra expense as I would have paid for this appliance almost twice over the original purchase price in service calls. Save your money and buy another brand.

We purchased a new dishwasher two months ago. The handle cracked in all three spots where the handle is screwed in. I called Bosch and within four days the repair tech showed up with a whole new door front. I thought it would just be an easy unscrew the handle and screw a new one in. He replaced the door front and pushed start and the dishwasher no longer works. He thinks he ruined the circuit board. He said he would replace the circuit board but he wasnt even sure if that was the issue. The part never arrived and I contacted Bosch. They said they would exchange the dishwasher for a new one, but I am still waiting. It has been 6 weeks and I have not had a working dishwasher in my home. Thanksgiving weekend was last weekend and I had a house full of company for the entire weekend and no dishwasher. Two months old and here I am with no dishwasher. We called Bosch when our 2 1/2 year old dishwasher broke. Their service dept. had a 2 week wait so they recommended authorized service providers with Mr. Appliance at the top of the list. We called Mr. Appliance and told them of the error code displayed and requested service for a broken drain pump. They came, charged us $170 and didnt bring the part. Then they sent a $600 quote to fix the unit. I called Bosch because at this point I could buy a new dishwasher. After some back and forth they offered to pay for the part and Id pay for the labor. Mr. Appliance hadnt broken out the quote, Bosch said the part was $36. Bosch offered to call Mr. Appliance which they did but to no avail. Still a $600 job.Bosch charges a set fee ($129) then another $30 per 15 minutes. They had no information about how long it should take to install the part. They offered me 2 additional authorized repair companies. One was out of business and the other had horrendous reviews. I called an unauthorized company in my neighborhood with excellent reviews and they will do the job for $198 plus the part. Bosch refused to sell me the part or sell it to the unauthorized repair company.First of all, the unit should not break after 2 years of use by empty nesters who barely use the dishwasher. They should make a better quality product and stand by their brand with more than a free part. Secondly, Bosch needs to review their requirements for authorizing repair companies. They should consider pricing and reviews to hold these companies accountable in exchange for giving them so much business. It should not cost more than the price of a new unit to replace a common part. I will not buy another Bosch!

Do not buy Bosch if you expect a good experience with any customer service needs. At the end of 2017 I renovated my kitchen and purchased all Bosch appliances. In May 2019 the magnetron of my microwave failed. Granted, it was now out of warranty, but why the magnetron should have failed so soon was unimaginable. The Sharp microwave I replaced had worked seamlessly for 30 years. The repair cost me almost $400 (the microwave was $1200). I contacted Bosch by email and by phone and was told there was nothing they could do in consideration of this premature (my word) need for such a repair. Perhaps it might have been different if I had reported this prior to authorizing the repair (I did use the preferred repair service on the Bosch website). How was I to know that?! I told the supervisor I spoke with, as well as the customer service rep that emailed me, that they could expect poor reviews posted on as many websites as I could find. No one seemed to care. Buy these appliances at your own peril.

Bosch provided me a the worst service experience of my life! After less than 3 years the ice maker in my refrigerator/freezer stopped working. I contacted customer service and no one answered, so I went online and made a request for service. I got a call back 5 days later at which time I was told they couldn’t make an appointment because there was a systems problem and I should call back. That should have clued me of what was to come. Service was finally sent out after waiting more than a month for an open appointment. When service arrived they checked my water dispenser and told me my ice maker needed to be replaced. So I agreed and was told the new part needed to be ordered by me.I ordered the replacement ice maker and it was not available due to back order for more than 3 months! That’s ridiculous! Finally the part was available and service came out and told me the unit didn’t need replacing. It was just the “fill“ arm needed replacing. THIS WAS THE SAME TECHNICIAN THAT INITIALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM 4 MONTHS EARLIER! After which the service rep said it was fixed. Needless to say it was not fixed and then I rescheduled a service call. When the unit was in fact replaced by a different tech. And I was charge almost $500 for the privilege of waiting 4 months for replacing an ice maker that I suspect, never needed it to begin with. I will never buy a Bosch appliance and I am telling everyone I know to do the same.

But it CRASHED as the rack hit the door - and the DW barely had any dishes in it. The damage to the tin foil they call Stainless interior was scary. When I called Support, they said they never heard of it damaging the door and there was no recall. BUT they didnt want pictures. A second call got a rep who said they are working on the flying wheels issue. The Internet shows its been a BOSCH issue since 2009. Sure they would agree to fix it, but who wants to have a repaired $1000 DW that can so easily get damaged? It was the lack of Bosch concern that upset me the most. I just ordered a Kitchen Aid.

I bought my dishwasher in May of 2011, and it worked fine until October 2012 when it decided to spring a leak. Due to my work schedule, it took a couple of weeks to schedule and receive the new parts for the dishwasher. The part that did arrive was broken but the technician was able to make it work. Everything has gone worked since, well, until yesterday. Another leak and the dishwasher is now out of warranty. I looked at the original estimate for repair and realized that the cost of repair would nearly be half of a new dishwasher. I am convinced I bought a bad dishwasher and I am just having some bad luck. I think I will try a different brand. Just like a Chevy. I cant stand them and find them to have reliability issues. We just turned away our second delivery of a Lowes special order 300 series Bosch dishwasher due to damage. Really... is it too much to ask for an indented face on your $700.00 dishwasher these days? Yes, it is being shipped to Hawaii to the tune of a 6-8 week delivery time and many people have handled it in the transportation process, but I believe much has to do with how Bosch is packaging the item with only thick cardboard frame pieces on the 4 ends, styrofoam corners on the top and thick plastic wrap holding it all together. There is no protection to the face or sides. For an international company, you would think they would be more conscientious about how they protect their product before it gets to the end user. Will have to think seriously before I order a third one!

Because of good reviews we purchased our first Bosch. We were told how durable and outstanding they were. A one year warranty was given with the purchase. After 3 months we had problems with the control panel. Then the pump malfunctioned and a new pump was installed. Within this year we have had more water in the bottom and not pumping out. Called Bosch and they had their certified tech....hmmmm who made three appointments and never showed up. Then when he came it was for a whole five minutes to say we needed a new pump. Three weeks later he came and installed a new pump and was there a few minutes, never checking the complete cycle. It still doesnt drain out, so we called our own tech and he informs us that it is now a complete computer board. Oh we also have had to have our racks replaced as they rusted. Then the new racks dont match and dont have a track to stop the dishes from rolling out. Bosch is known for being quiet. That is very important in homes with open floor plans. I have a large center island where the back of the dishwasher is facing a living space. Because it is only about 58 db, it is practically impossible to hear it running. Furthermore, the end of cycle chime is necessary to know when to empty it. The soil sensor seems to work quite well as it will only run as long as there are soiled dishes. The water temperature gets quite hot, so I know unwanted bacteria is eliminated. Dishes always come out squeaky clean. I love the half load cycle and use it frequently. The energy and water usage is very low. I think that most people who own dishwashers think that the whole unit fills with water each time they run a cycle, and so they are reluctant to run the dishwasher. Many folks, unknowingly, use MORE water by doing dishes by hand than they would have done if they had put them on the proper cycle in the dishwasher. If the owner would read the specifications of actual water usage, they would be surprised how little water a full load uses in comparison to rinsing dishes before placing them in. I also like the fact that I can put delicate items, such as crystal and fine china, and know that nothing is going to come out damaged or cracked. The size of most regular household units will fit into a standard 24 wide lower cabinet. I also think the capacity and overall arrangement of the racks gives quite a bit of flexibility, as no two loads contain the same collection of dishes to be washed to be washed at the same time. This particular unit has a very low-profile handle and doesnt interfere with todays contemporary, clean lines in the kitchen. The handle is sturdy and feels secure. My unit is a nice grade of stainless steel, not a thin gauge that would tend to dent easily. The interior is also a food-grade stainless steel that doesnt collect unwanted odors or corrosion from the soap. If you opt for Bosch, you dont have to get a really expensive, high-end model since they are all extremely quiet and easy to use. Bosch also, in my opinion, exudes an element of high quality, even if its a low-end model. Generally, the higher end machines have options and features that most owners rarely use. I believe that Bosch is a good choice for a discriminating buyer who doesnt necessarily have a huge budget, but wants a beautiful, efficient machine that will last a long time. It is a work-horse that will bring compliments from friends and family for years to come as they have a 25 year warranty on their products.

This same information was provided me by Bosch Consumer Service. I also run an empty load with vinegar/bleach every couple weeks. The door stays ajar at all times except when running a load of laundry. We installed this new oven last year and decided to run the self cleaning option. We did not pull the telescopic oven tray out prior to running the cleaning option. I love the light at the bottom showing its on because it is so quiet. It has a 3rd shelf, a variety of ways to arrange dishes by either leaving the tines up or down. It seems to be smaller than the older models. Very sleek, hidden controls. The light at the bottom showing it is on almost bleeds across the floor. DO NOT BUY BOSCH!!! My kitchen renovation required a replacement of the brand new stove. The dishwasher was replaced at least 2 times, and thereafter required service and at the present time is noisy. The refrigerator required several service calls and replacement of the ice maker, as whenever I needed ice, there was none, or the cold cuts in the refrigerator were frozen, or the vegetables in the drawer were frozen. It is too frustrating. In the beginning, Bosch was accommodating, however, there is no assistance whatsoever although I was assured they would be there to assist with the refrigerator. Unbelievable experience. WILL NEVER BUY BOSCH AND RECOMMEND ANY OTHER BRAND!

I purchased a wonderful dishwasher. It was brand new and with an extended warranty. After 3 cycles, my dishwasher quit registering commands from the control panel. We called Bosch for a services technician. The service technician came 2 weeks after to diagnose the problem. It took another 3 weeks for the parts to arrive. He then said it could not be fixed. The service technician will not call us back and Bosch keeps adding comments to our file. Its been months since we had a working dishwasher. Bosch stated that they need the unresponsive service technician to call us. The store we purchased it from will not take it back because Bosch will not give us a confirmation code. Its been extremely frustrating with no remedy in sight.

I bought my 800 series Bosch dishwasher a year and a half ago and while there were some bumps because I bought a used one from the Sears Discount Center the representatives were very prompt about repairing and then replacing my defective machine. Now that I have a functioning dishwasher it is not only my very favorite appliance of my house, it is one of my most beloved possessions. There are 10 people in my family and we are able to stack in a huge amount of dishes because the spacing of the racks are so well designed and the additional 3rd rack is able to accommodate all of the silverware. I have never had such clean dishes with so little pre-cleansing before I put the dishes in. There are times that still needs servicing due to the hard water in Arizona but once it is cleaned I am once again left with immaculately clean dishes every time, including my Bosch mixer which I can put in encrusted with dried bread dough and pots and pans. I am very disappointed to hear all of these awful reviews when truly it is the best appliance I have ever owned. All of my friends who have Bosch dishwashers feel the same way I do. There is no reason to buy any other brand. Do not let these bad experiences scare you away from a truly miraculous piece of equipment.

I purchased the Bosch Axxis stackable washer and dryer in late 2008 to fit in my kitchen closet. June 2014, started to have problems with it making noises while spinning and then it got louder and finally stopped spinning. I contacted Bosch Customer Service who referred me to service repair but did not offer me a good explanation or offer to refund anything for the unit to be broken after approximately 6 years of use and I am the only person using it.The stackable unit cost me over $2,000 and now the washer needs to be replaced because the repair costs are over $900.00. This is disgraceful! Now, I have to figure out how to find a new 24-inch washer that will fit my Bosch dryer on top because I will never buy another Bosch anything! It is a piece of garbage.

I purchased and installed the Bosch HMB8050/HBL8750 stacked microwave/convection oven and built-in oven pair in 2011. The microwave/convection oven was great in terms of roasting small items and we used it very frequently. That is until the convection part of the oven did not deliver the preset temperature and was making rattling noises. The repair technician determined that it was the drive shaft of the fan is broken causing temperature not distributing properly. We went to all the appliance parts suppliers and could not find the part as it has been discontinued. I also contacted Bosch directly, after being re-directed to 3 or 4 different numbers and confusion with the part number, they said no part was available. We tried to replace the microwave/convection oven with another Bosch but the model is discontinued. New models are now all flushed with the cabinets which means my existing cabinet has to be rebuilt and will look out of place with the existing built-in oven. Found a different make microwave/convection oven ($700) that may fits in the existing cut out but discovered that the Bosch microwave/convection oven and built-in oven shared the same power source!! The Bosch representative recommended replacing the complete system!!! So, because of a $180 part that Bosch discontinued will require me to take out a working microwave AND a perfectly working built-in oven and put in another Bosch $5,000 to $7, 000 combination oven in?? NO WAY! Will I buy another Bosch again? NO WAY! It is absolutely ridiculous to discontinue a part barely 10 years after a product in the market. Shame on Bosch.

I purchased a Bosch washer, Model WFMC22OAUC in Feb. 2008 along with the dryer and petal stools. I did my homework and found this brand to be the most recommended by pretty much everyone, retailers and repairmen. The washer has now been repaired three times. The mold sticks to high heaven and, being farmers, I can honestly say one gallon of water doesnt bring out **. My whites are now gray. I was told I could wash three loads at once. I should have been told to wash one piece of clothing per load. I doubt that that one piece would be cleaned.

I used to be a happy Bosch customer. I had a Bosch dishwasher for 10 years and liked it so much that I even recommended Bosch to my friends. Last year I bought a 500 DLX model. From the beginning I could see that the new machine did not clean my dishes as well as the old one. I have done everything the manual suggests and I am still dissatisfied with the performance. When I called Customer Service today the woman was not at all helpful, especially when she saw that I am two months past my 1-year warranty. I strongly object to the warranty starting when I purchased it. It was installed on Jan. 22, 2015, so it has been in use less than a year. It looks like I am stuck with an inferior appliance and I will not recommend this brand to anyone ever again.

The microwave had its circuit board replaced and the dishwasher had to have its hinges repair. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher and about a year later, a Bosch washer and dryer. After 4 years with the dishwasher, the water no longer was hot. We telephoned the company we purchased it from and they referred us to a repairman. Bosch only certifies certain companies to do their repairs. Unfortunately, this company wasnt really easy to work with. They did eventually come out to the house. After a prolonged conversation with a Bosch representative, it was determined the internal water heater was bad. The part was ordered. It took three months for the part to come in and eventually get replaced. When the part was put in by the same company and the machine turned on, the board indicated it would take 367 minutes to wash an empty load of dishes. The representative left and indicated the machine would have to be reset. Well the next day, I phoned them back. The machine ran the 367 minutes but no hot water. They sent a different repairman and Bosch wasnt willing to accept they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. They did eventually replace the motherboard and the machine is currently working. The washing machine, after 3 years of use and with only 2 people in the family, started rocking and my husband saw sparks on the inside of the wash tub. We were told it could not be repaired. We couldnt dump it fast enough. Dryer still worked but it took over an hour to dry a regular load of clothes. The machine didnt clean well and the dryer often left clothes damp even though the moisture sensor had been checked twice. Bosch is highly overrated and they must pay their vocal advocates a lot of money. We wont even consider a Bosch in the future.

I loved my Bosch dishwasher (Silence Plus 48 dBA Dishwasher) when I first got it. It was so quiet and did a great job. Two years in and just out of warranty, it needed a $300.00 repair because water was leaking out the bottom. Now, two years after that, it wont stop draining, even with the door open. A repairman confirmed what I thought, water was leaking into the subtray so the float wouldnt drop to allow the machine to function. He found a break in the water valve and told me the problem is a common one. I wont be buying any Bosch appliance again.

I purchase a Bosch gas range in Dec 2019. We started smelling gas last week and had to call 911 and PSE&G. The issue was tracked to the oven and Bosch said they will send a technician. They said the earliest appt they had was 4 days out. I called them again as the smell was progressively getting worse. I escalated again and they agreed to send local Bosch certified technician. The technician arrived promptly and found that the safety valve was defective and he had to order the parts from Bosch. Bosch said 5-7 business days (and this a gas leak issue) and I was again on the phone trying to covey the urgency. I was stuck between the installer and Bosch and I am the Consumer. Bosch finally agreed to overnight the part to my address and the installer was scheduled to fix it today. I called Bosch today for a tracking number and they said they dont have one!! I also found out that they have shipped the part to the technician! Still no part and plenty of gas smell. Bosch customer is very inefficient and they really dont care about the safety of their customers. I would never buy a Bosch appliance again. It doesnt matter how good their products are. Simple irresponsible customer service.

I purchased an Bosch 800 series dishwasher late 2018. This is my second Bosch dishwasher, I loved my first one. It was super quiet and cleaned beautifully. I cant say the same for this one. Last week it stopped working giving me an error message. I tried to troubleshoot myself. It makes a loud grinding noise, sounds like the drain pump. I called the 800 number, the call center tried troubleshoot to no avail. Scheduled service, the dishwasher is still under warranty.I requested the the latest appt in the day, to accommodate my work schedule and long story short the service department is very unaccommodating for customers that cant sit at home all day waiting to a tech. I was told they would send a list of other service vendors to who do Bosch warranty work in my community (Orlando, FL). After 2 requests for the list, still not received. My dishwasher is still not functional almost a week later. Extremely disappointed in the product and the lack of service for what is supposed to be a superior product.

We upgraded our kitchen 5 years ago and went with Bosch because they were supposedly high quality appliances. We bought a Bosch built in oven/microwave appliance and did a custom rock wall around it. The appliance failed with 1 1/2 years. Bosch was not easy to deal with. We could not get a Bosch repair person because they refused to travel into the county side. Bosch did replace it with a slightly different size unit, so we had to adjust our wall. Now 3 years later this unit has failed. I have been put on hold for over 2 hours with no one answering the phone. I have emailed and received no response. We have wasted our money and time dealing with this company.

I was traveling from MA and was in NYC helping my family member drive to have some tooth surgery done. During my down time went online and as I recently bought the Bosch washer, I wanted to see if there was a dryer out there. Fortunately there was, it was actually an open box at this location, I had a very good experience with the service at this location and also 5* on the product itself too. I went in and was greeting Denise, she was very helpful during the whole process and even allowed my to view the dryer in person in the bay before committing to the purchase. I really liked how quick she got me checked out and was super friendly. I have to give this store 5* for quick and friendly staff. Now back to the dryer. Wow, so nice, best dryer I’ve ever owned in my life. Extremely quite and piggyback ready the washer I just bought too. If you live in a small studio or apt, these are the absolute best washer/dryers you can get for cleaning g and silent operation. One and only drawback, 220v and the hefty type, definitely check your connections first, otherwise! Love it!!!

I have owned and used our Bosch Dishwasher for over twelve years without a single problem. Ive heard complaints about Bosch lack of cleaning. I have never experienced such a problem. Some of the complaints sound as though they have a poor water supply. Maybe a water filter prior to the dishwasher would help. I read complaints regarding drying. l would need to know what is in the dishwasher first. If there is a lot of plastic I would expect less than quality. Bosch dries the dishes with hot water rinse. The latent heat of the dishes and glassware is used to dry. Plastic does not retain much heat thus the lack of drying. It is my opinion that the complaints are misdirected. The poor customer service should be addressed immediately.

The Bosch is supposed to be the quietest but it is no more quiet than my old Frigidaire. Furthermore, it does not dry the dishes. It leaves them and the entire dishwasher soaking wet. I must leave the door open overnight for it to dry. A service call resulted in my being told that this is the nature of the beast. I have never had a dishwasher that required me to leave it open all night long to have dried dishes. It washes the dishes but does nothing else. Our old dishwasher pump failed after 17 years, so we decided to replace the dishwasher. I spent a lot of time investigating different appliances, and we decided to go with a Bosch. It hasnt turned out so well. First, we had constant horrible smells coming from inside the dishwasher. We contacted Bosch, but they didnt advise of any fixes. We saw on the internet that this was a common issue with Bosch (after we owned it). We did finally find a solution by changing the location of the drain line and where it ties in to the garbage disposal. I would have thought Bosch could have offered that fix, but they didnt. The second event has been disastrous. Theres a valve on the bottom of the dishwasher, not sure if it is the drain discharge valve or a water inlet valve. We wont know until the repair person that Bosch is sending takes a look. We accidentally discovered that the valve has failed and is leaking (again, we are seeing this complaint on the internet now). This valve failure has ruined our hardwood floors as well as the finished ceiling in the room below. We wont know how extensive the damage is or if mold is present until we pull up the hardwood floor. We are guessing that theres thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to remove and replace the floor and the ceiling below. I have no idea what mold remediation cost could be if we discover theres mold. I thought I was getting a high end appliance that would be trouble free. I would have saved money by replacing the pump in the old dishwasher. Since this seems to be a common problem, Im surprised that Bosch didnt contact us to replace this valve versus allowing a faulty part to ruin our home. Bosch has opened a claim for us and is sending a person by to inspect. We will see how good their customer service is with regard to this issue. More to follow.

Bosch, a German company known for their engineering, engineered a three-piece door handle for their refrigerator. The small plastic piece that attaches the bottom part of the handle to the door cracked dislodging the bottom support for the handle. I ordered the replacement part from the retailer and was told that the whole handle had to be bought. About a year ago, I moved into a new home and wanted a new refrigerator to match. There were other brands that had similar features that were considerably less expensive, but I assumed that the Bosch would be of a higher quality that would justify the additional expense. Recently some water spilled on the bottom shelf and some of it seeped through the crack and the front of the glass and settled on top of the stringer holding up the glass shelf between the crisper drawers. I tried to figure out how to pick up the glass so I could dry it off but couldn’t find a way. I assumed that it would evaporate and not be a problem but that didn’t happen. Instead, it collected dirt and mildew. I have again tried to come up with a way to pick up the glass so I could clean it, but gave up and called customer support.I asked the girl there if someone could give me instructions as to how to pick up the glass to resolve my problem. She asked my name and apparently checked the computer to find out that my one year warranty had recently expired. She told me that all she could do was send out a serviceman and that would cost me $129. I told her that I didn’t need a service call and just wanted someone to explain to me how to get under the glass. She again said that she would have to send out a serviceman for $129.I told her that it seemed that it was a poor design and appeared that they were intentionally trying to make money by sending out a serviceman. She said “yes”. This caught me by surprise so I asked,Are you saying that you intentionally designed it so you could make $129 by sending out a serviceman. Again, she said “yes”. I spent extra money to get the Bosch, thinking that it would be of better quality with better customer service. I won’t make that mistake again.

It performed much better when new. Now we have to pre-wash everything because the dishwasher no longer removes dried-on food and sticky residue. I keep the filters clean but it is just not washing as well as it used to. Could be that hard water and non-phosphate detergents is partially to blame. Very quiet compared to others. It has rinse and hold, pots and pans, and other useful cycles. Configurable rack partitions and top shelf fold-out utensil holder offer lots of loading options. Like most average dishwashers this one does not have enough top rack clearance for tall glasses. Looks sharp with no outwardly visible controls. Stainless steel front is nice but difficult to keep clean. Pro: Still running after 10 years of daily use. Tub and racks still in perfect condition. Con: Rinse aid dispenser door no longer stays closed. Detergent door stopped latching after a couple years... fix required disassembly and cleaning. Ability to clean dirty dishes has degraded over the years.
