Product Reviews:

I bought a Bosch refrigerator because I absolutely LOVE my Bosch dishwasher
I bought a Bosch refrigerator because I absolutely LOVE my Bosch dishwasher. I paid $2000.00 and the icemaker/water dispenser was defective the day it was delivered. That entire unit had to be replaced, which took a month. Less than 3 months later, the icemaker conked out again and had to be repaired. The culprit this time was a frozen fill tube. This was in June 2015. In October/November 2015, the icemaker started overfilling at random times. In December 2015, the icemaker simply quit functioning altogether. I called Bosch on 12/16/15 to report the problem -- third time with the icemaker -- and requested they just replace the refrigerator, as it is obviously defective. Also, Bosch could not even schedule a repair for the refrigerator until 01/04/15, and the warranty expires on 02/15/2015. I have never had any major appliance experience problems within the first year of service, let alone be delivered defective. The rep. told me shed forward the complaint to management and I should get a decision by the end of business. No one called me that day, or the next day, or the next day, either. So I called them back and had to wait more than 30 minutes before getting a live representative, who told me that managements decision -- which had been made the day before -- was that I should just get the unit repaired again for the third time for the same issue, and that if and when it happened AGAIN, THEN theyd consider replacing the refrigerator. As I pointed out, this would MOST LIKELY occur AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, so I would be on the hook for the cost of repairs by that point. The rep. assured me that Bosch would simply extend the warranty, based on my documented repair history. (Yeah, when pigs fly.) I requested to speak to a supervisor, but none were available. When I said I would file a complaint, the representative threatened to release the line -- hang up on me. This was after I had spent more than 45 minutes just that day on the phone trying to resolve this issue with BOSCH. I would never consider buying another BOSCH refrigerator in my entire life. This is the only refrigerator I have ever bought in the last forty-four years that has EVER given me any problems. Unbelievable. Dont buy one. LEMON.

I purchased only because of the name Bosch. I was totally disappointed in your response. Please take immediate step and confirm.

After only 24 months our convection microwave was chronically broken, even after four repairs, for the SAME problem! On the last repair the Bosch technician told me the problem is the design of the door and the micro switches. The local Bosch is no help and they just keep sending out techs to fix the same problem. Each time we had to wait many weeks to get an appointment, so the outcome is that in the past 4 years our oven has not worked for 7 months!

We bought a new townhome in with new Bosch appliances in Nov 2013. Someone said the appliances were high end. For the past 6 months the microwave has tripped the circuit breaker upon opening the door. So much for high end. We called an appliance company who charged $129 just for driving to our house. After nearly two hours, and speaking to a Bosch technician, the appliance tech said we need a new board for a total of $315, parts and labor! WHY DID IT BREAK DOWN AFTER ONLY TWO YEARS?!! I could have bought a cheaper Walmart microwave that would still be working right now. Bosch needs to make better appliances or extend their crappy one-year warranty! No wonder the warranty is only good for one year and doesnt cover circuit boards!

BEST dishwasher ever owned. It's under the counter dw. The noise level is you don't hear it at all! Stainless steel inside 2 racks adjustable everything for all dishes, pots and pans, cookie sheets, everything. 2 compartments (can be removed) for silverware. 1 rack above for long handled and wooden etc utensils. Best part is cleaning. Pull out the bottom rack, rolls out easily. Remove the filter easy, wash it out in sink and put it back in about every 3-6 mo. Filter is stainless steel. Several modes of cleaning from pots and pans, to crystal glasses. Air Dry or steam. Everything is cleaned 100% everytime. Cost to run is next to nothing.

12 year old double oven needed electronics replaced 6 or 7 years ago. Now two different companies have sent technicians out six or seven times and no one can repair it. Pretty much all electronic boards and touch pads replaced multiple times to no avail. lt resets itself spontaneously for date & time randomly for no reason we can figure out. What seems to be happening is the following: if we are in a cooking mode, such as sabbath mode, and the date and time resets while the oven is on, it becomes impossible to turn the oven off. When the reset screen is on pushing the off button does not change the display, and appears to do nothing. When the date and time has been reset even though the Sabbath mode is still on, the screen does not show it. Pushing the off button also does not change the display and nothing happens. It seems that we need to reset the date and time first and then turn the same sabbath mode on again and once it is on again then it will shut off.The odds of this happening during sabbath mode operation is the greatest as that mode is on for 24 hours at a minimum at a time. Although I suppose the clock could reset itself during any cooking mode. This is potentially dangerous as the oven may inadvertently be left on, and I cannot actually determine that it remains at exactly the same temperature and mode it was in before the reset happened. In fact, earlier the oven we just continue to get hotter and hotter heating up the wall around it until we turned off the main circuit breaker. We paid almost $1,000 for service. What do we do now?

My washer and dryer are 4 years old, and the dishwasher is 2 years old. The housing on all of the appliances is cracked, and those cracks are growing! As a retired couple, it certainly cannot be due to heavy wear and tear on our part. Of course, the warranties are now gone and so is our hard earned money. Bah! To Bosch! A quality product? According to price they should be; the reality differs. I am so angry that I want to take them to court...I want the company to act as if they truly did believe in their product and stand behind it and treat their consumers accordingly.

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

A few years ago we bought Bosch green dishwasher. That means it uses relatively low (below 100C) temperature to wash and dry. Thus various microbes are not killed and the dishwasher sanitized. Finally, the water which always should be in the dishwasher gets nasty smell. Who was so stupid to create such green stuff without option to use normal washing and drying temperature not the green? Do not buy Bosch as you can get something stupid like green microbe friendly appliance.

I bought all Bosch appliances for my kitchen (except for the fridge) including washer and dryer. Right from the start I had problems with my oven and the dishwasher did not clean well. I got service in and they basically said to use another dish soap. Then my oven totally did not work and died on us for Christmas dinner. In a nutshell customer service was awful. I was calling in Canada then got re-routed to the States for Customer Service. Once there I had some action. But my oven does not work well. Since then my dishwasher racks are all broken. Buying Bosch was the worst choice - never again.

Good washer.. overall.... but was very surprised I am forced to put the blue rinse fluid in it or it will not operate. The pegs that hold the dishes are oddly spaced on the bottom rack and have little flexibility and it is often hard to put dishes and pans in there. Also frustrating to have 2 removable silver trays.. replaced it with one large one. Wish there was one for the top rack instead as the problems with the bottom rack leave it with fewer items.

We were having issues with our Bosch dishwasher, up to this point for fifteen years its been great. Bosch informed us there was a recall on that model and offered us a 30% discount on a new model. That happened in mid-February and it still has not shown (its now August 2021). We have tried to reach out and see what is going on; youre on hold for at least 30 minutes, then you speak with someone who has no idea how to track down the issue. Is this really how you want to run your company Bosch? Honestly, as pathetic a way to treat customers as one can imagine. Id cancel the order but weve already paid.

800 Series dishwasher is great when it comes to cleaning. Issue is with the bottom rack. The tapered wheels dont stay on the tracks. Particularly when fully loaded the bottom rack wont stay in the track and falls into the tub. We just had Abt Appliance out since the dishwasher is only a month old. Tech said that this is a common complaint and Bosch has not done anything to address it. Very frustrating since it forces you to have to only partially load the lower rack. Will contact Bosch directly and see what they say. If there is no fix we will be replacing with a KitchenAid!

A brand new dishwasher bought from a local major appliance store installed
A brand new dishwasher bought from a local major appliance store installed by a licensed contractor in a kitchen remodel project malfunctioned just outside the regular warranty period from Bosch. Bosch solicited me through email and regular mail of an extended warranty which I accepted. Prior to signing up, I actually spoke directly to a real person/sales representative of the company about the eligibility for repairs under the extended warranty. I was told yes very affirmatively. They took my money and then advised that I could not call in my first repair service for the first month. So I waited patiently and finally called in for repairs. They denied the warranty service by citing pre-existing condition. Im mad. I tried to explain that it is a condition which had deteriorated over time (washing cycle not completing in different stages) which I had explained to the sales rep from the beginning. Bosch misled me, took my money and made me wait a month to make the first claim only to deny it. Im so disgusted with the whole process that I just want my money back and take my business elsewhere or buy a new dishwasher from another manufacturer. They are not giving my money back so Im venting my frustration. Im so upset that I have to deal with dirty dishes for a month when I could have just go out and buy a new dishwasher. The dishwasher is an expensive model: SHP65TL5UC. I regretted that I also purchased other major kitchen appliances from this company. Dont buy Bosch!!!

This dishwasher does a very good job at getting all of my dishes clean. Even those that have dried food stuck to them. It does everything I need it to do. Although, this dishwasher does not have heated dry option. I am fine with this, as the heat from the wash gets most everything dry. It has basic regular, light, heavy duty settings. Thats all I need! It is a traditional/regular size dishwasher. The interior holds everything I need to wash, although the set up of the tines have taken a bit getting used to. I feel if they were orientated differently I might be able to load easier. Its a nice stainless steel washer! When researching this dishwasher, only negative thing I could find was issues with the door latch. Knowing this, I exercise extra caution in opening and closing. It does open stiffly.

Third (top) rack for utensils or silverware -- no more bending to load the silver, its waist height and sooo easy to load then transfer to drawers when cleaned. Besides the absolute quiet of the machine the silverware rack is my favorite feature! Its 24 wide -- standard full size under counter DW. Clean lines, Stainless steel finish, Control panel is hidden. We purchased a Bosch washing machine a few years ago and noticed that mold grows on the inside of the rubber gasket. We later found out that there is a class action suit for this machine. I called Bosch and scheduled an appointment and the man called in sick and did not show up. I took a day off from work for this repair and they let me know 20 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive. I told them that the next time if they do not give me sufficient notice I would send them a bill. I also told them since they were scheduling me for another day, that meant they were agreeing to my terms. The second time I took a day off they called and told me that the man did not have the part with him. I told them that I was sending them a bill and the woman told me that they do not reimburse people.

My wonderful Bosch dishwasher recently stopped dispensing the detergent. Since its under warranty, I have followed all the required steps and jumped through the requested hoops, but have discovered that Bosch obviously does not offer service in our area. Over the past week I have spent 2 hours and 47 minutes on the phone (most of it on hold), been disconnected (with no return call from them) 3 times, and have emailed with no response twice. I have a file number now due to the concerns about no service provider in our area, but that seems to be simply a pacifier, since it has proven to provide nothing. Bosch service is THE worst!

We purchased our Bosch Nexxt 500 Series washer on 7-10-2007 and within a few weeks noticed that our laundry smelled musty and that the whites were no longer white. The smell worsened to the point where I hold my breath when using a washcloth as I wash my face. When I called Lowes I was reminded to use only one tablespoon of high energy detergent, use Affresh Grit Grabber to wipe down the door gasket and the rubber boot of the tub and keep the door ajar. This same information was provided me by Bosch Consumer Service. I also run an empty load with vinegar/bleach every couple weeks. The door stays ajar at all times except when running a load of laundry. There have been times when so little water enters the machine that the laundry comes out still dry in areas but the worst is the bad smell of our laundry. I am so very disappointed in my waste of a thousand dollars and embarrassed that I still have this Energy Efficient washer but dont know where to turn.

The lady I spoke to spent almost 30 minutes talking me through troubleshooting and performing a reset of the appliance. By the time we were done, it was working perfectly again. Most companies would have just had a repair tech come out and charge a bunch of money. Not Bosch. Next time we're in the market for another appliance, it is Bosch all the way. I bought this oven in Jul 2011. Over the past year the grill filament started to warp. It is now extremely warped and quite dangerous, soon likely to snap, and then the oven will be unusable. This has happened through normal and moderate use of the product. I have contacted Bosch (it took many many emails to get a reply) and they say they dont view it as a product fault or design defect, but as an isolated incident. They wont repair it for free, as I requested, but instead demand around 100 to repair it.I bought a Bosch oven specifically because I wanted a quality product - I paid for the brand name. I expected 10 years of use (my last cooker lasted 20 years) but I get a measly 3 -3.5 years and Bosch think this is reasonable. I dont think thats good quality by a long stretch, and I dont see how or why Bosch should be known for their reliability.

Our old dishwasher pump failed after 17 years, so we decided to replace the dishwasher. I spent a lot of time investigating different appliances, and we decided to go with a Bosch. It hasnt turned out so well. First, we had constant horrible smells coming from inside the dishwasher. We contacted Bosch, but they didnt advise of any fixes. We saw on the internet that this was a common issue with Bosch (after we owned it). We did finally find a solution by changing the location of the drain line and where it ties in to the garbage disposal. I would have thought Bosch could have offered that fix, but they didnt. The second event has been disastrous. Theres a valve on the bottom of the dishwasher, not sure if it is the drain discharge valve or a water inlet valve. We wont know until the repair person that Bosch is sending takes a look. We accidentally discovered that the valve has failed and is leaking (again, we are seeing this complaint on the internet now). This valve failure has ruined our hardwood floors as well as the finished ceiling in the room below. We wont know how extensive the damage is or if mold is present until we pull up the hardwood floor. We are guessing that theres thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to remove and replace the floor and the ceiling below. I have no idea what mold remediation cost could be if we discover theres mold. I thought I was getting a high end appliance that would be trouble free. I would have saved money by replacing the pump in the old dishwasher. Since this seems to be a common problem, Im surprised that Bosch didnt contact us to replace this valve versus allowing a faulty part to ruin our home. Bosch has opened a claim for us and is sending a person by to inspect. We will see how good their customer service is with regard to this issue. More to follow.

Do not buy Bosch if you expect a good experience with any customer service needs. At the end of 2017 I renovated my kitchen and purchased all Bosch appliances. In May 2019 the magnetron of my microwave failed. Granted, it was now out of warranty, but why the magnetron should have failed so soon was unimaginable. The Sharp microwave I replaced had worked seamlessly for 30 years. The repair cost me almost $400 (the microwave was $1200). I contacted Bosch by email and by phone and was told there was nothing they could do in consideration of this premature (my word) need for such a repair. Perhaps it might have been different if I had reported this prior to authorizing the repair (I did use the preferred repair service on the Bosch website). How was I to know that?! I told the supervisor I spoke with, as well as the customer service rep that emailed me, that they could expect poor reviews posted on as many websites as I could find. No one seemed to care. Buy these appliances at your own peril.

We plugged it into other outlets in the kitchen to check to see if it was the outlet. They took it away, the rep was very arrogant saying that it was a problem with our electric in our new home. The distributor asked if we could have an electrician check out. The electrician said that we would need to something that he can not and would not do for us. We needed to put an old style non-ARC breaker in for that dedicated outlet. The retailer brought it back on Tuesday the following week after my husband installed a Non-ARC required by code breaker. It works. So we needed to break the electrical code to keep this appliance. The electrician said that their refrigerator and DWs have that issue. In the country they are made, they do not replicate the electrical supply with breakers like we have in the US for testing and this problem is known by the reps, distributors, and the company. I would love to see them do something about it. We have an electrical code for a reason. ARCs have been required since about 2013 or so. You would think they would have corrected this by now. All of my other homes were not new- last three so it was not an issue with the breakers. You choose.

Our four year old dishwasher was issued a recall as some of the plugs were catching on fire. I did as instructed on the recall notice and an authorized repairman came to the house. He said he couldnt get the dishwasher out without damaging our floors and left. I let Bosch know and they suggested that we get a quote to have the granite countertops removed, so that the repairman could get in. I asked for another dealer but they didnt want another repairman. I called our contractor to remove the dishwasher and the repairman came back to change the plug but refused to put back the dishwasher. The contractor came back to re-install the dishwasher and the dishwasher top rack and sprayer were now broken. Bosch got the fire hazard fixed so they are off the hook for that, but I am left with a broken dishwasher and their so called customer service wont respond. Now, I am forced to replace the dishwasher when I as the customer have done nothing wrong. Bosch cares about avoiding a lawsuit, but could give a whit about the customers experience. The company sure does not have the customers back. This whole process has taken weeks and I am completely frustrated.

We bought our Bosch dishwasher in 2012 because we heard they were the best from the salesman (I think it was because he got a spiff for selling that brand that month). I am sorry to say that the dishwasher is leaking due to a defective valve. Bosch customer service claimed our dishwasher is “old”. They also state that their dishwasher life expectancy is only 10 years now. Hmm. My last KitchenAid dishwasher turned 15 years old when we sold the house and the owner said it went out finally after 20 years. My GE at our other house is still going strong after 14 years. Bosch is not what it use to be and their customer service manager is rude. When a company has it in the back of their head that their appliances are pretty much done at 10 years that says something about their philosophy behind building them. Just saying.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher after research for top brands. To make a long story short, just after 3 months, we had problems with the bottom rack staying on the track. All the wheels eventually came off one by one, we put them back on but they still kept falling off. So we bought new wheels, still, the rack never glided or stayed on its tracks. We now have to lift the full bottom rack and place it inside the washer. The wand (attachment for water) comes off during the cycle EVERY time no matter if anything scrapes or touches it during the cycles. The third rack (silverware) rarely cleans anything unless they’ve been hand cleaned before going in. Never ever have I spent so much money on an appliance to have it fall apart and dysfunction after 3 months. Customer service was so unwilling to handle the first wheel issues, that attempting a refund was daunting. I’m not sure if Bosch cares if the appliance works at all, or if maybe they just sell “pretty” appliances to people who don’t cook.

I love my new very quiet Bosch dishwasher, but since I bought the lowest priced model I thought that was why I wasnt getting the best clean glasses and dishes. I contacted Bosch and they sent out a local repair guy. He discovered that water had been pooling under my dishwasher which could have been very damaging to my home. He ordered a complete replacement from Bosch. That was almost a month ago, and since then I have had to initiate all phone calls to see when my new dishwasher will come. Yesterday I spoke with a supervisor who was very condescending and with a sickly sweet tone told me it will be at least another 10 days before any action is taken because that is just their process, and then she cut off the conversation. I dont really know if I will get the new dishwasher after the way she abruptly cut me off.

Sometimes I just want to cry at the poor job it does and other times I just wash the dishes by hand. I am not a plumber but I have learned to remove the wands and clean out the openings so the water can pass through. Yesterday I had a dinner for 10 guests and when I took out the fancy glasses they all had to be washed since they were not suitable for company. I am heartbroken about this purchase. Any suggestions?

I had a similar Bosch in a home I purchased in 2015 and I love everything about it. I moved in 2017 and of course purchased another Bosch fridge. This one works well, but it has a feature on the shelves that wastes a huge amount of space and makes the actual useable height of the shelves 1” shorter than the actual height. Somehow I didnt notice it in the store despite looking at it a number of times. It could be that they changed the shelves recently and the store model didnt have the brace across the front of each shelf. Its almost impossible to seein the photos. A tall drink bottle wont fit without angling it and even worse, the upper shelves are only 3 1/4” high instead of 4” high if it didn’t have that weird brace across the front. It make it so that only ver short items can go on that shelf. The bottom shelf in 10’ tall because of the brace, Hill without it, it would be 11 1/8” high. If I can find shelves without the brace, it would be worth it to me to replace these shelves at my own expense because Best Buy won’t do anything about it.

I purchased this dishwasher on 8-1-18. Four months later I heard a motor running my kitchen. After investigation I determined that it was the dishwasher drain pump. I opened up the door and the key pad was dead. The only way to shut it off was to unplug it. I called Bosch and they gave me a number to call saying it would be two and a half weeks before a serviceman could be out. Two and a half weeks and no show. Called again and told another two and half weeks. Over a month later and a technician shows up. He said water had leaked into the bottom somehow but couldnt determine where it is coming from! He said he needed to order a part and it is backordered, (Two Weeks) and Bosch wont see the part and it wont be released at least for another week after that! Furthermore he doesnt know if it will fix it!! I purchased this brand because they were supposed to have a good service record? I consider this a LEMON and after calling and explaining my circumstances I asked them to replace it not knowing if it will ever be right and was refused. If you buy a Bosch have them throw in a dish rack and drain pan with it!

Monday, November 06, 2017, I received by mail the Bosch Important Safety Recall Notice - Bosch Dishwashers letter regarding potential fire hazard. The dishwasher power cord can overheat and it was suggested to STOP using the appliance immediately if you have one of the affected models. I located my model and serial number and found that my dishwasher is affected by the 2017 recall expansion! I immediately went to the Bosch dishwasher recall registration Web page. Based on the information provided and my address, I received a list (only one agency name was listed) of authorized service agents that would inspect and repair my dishwasher at no charge, along with a reference number. So far, so good! On that very same day, I contacted the repair agency, gave them the information requested and was told they will order the part, and when the part is received they will call to schedule the repair appointment, and told me that it would probably be by the end of the week. By the end of the business week, Friday, November 10, 2017, they never called. On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent to ask for update on repair request. I was told the power cord is now expected to arrive on Thursday, November 16, 2017, and the repair will be scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2017, between 8AM - 5PM. I was also told the repairman will call me the day before, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, to narrow down the time within a two hour window for Fridays repair. On Friday, November 17, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent since their repairman was a No Call, No Show. I was told that the repair has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2017 and that the part is still not in but should be in today or Monday the 20th. And, the repairman will call me on Monday, November, 20, 2017 with the time window for the Tuesday, November 21, 2017 repair. Maelynn, the service agent apologized for not calling to inform me and was not sure who even changed the repair schedule from November 16th to the 21st. Well, it is now Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and I still have NO dishwasher repaired, NO date for a repair, UNABLE to use the dishwasher, Thanksgiving is tomorrow and all the dirty dinner dishes will have to be washed the old fashioned way...by hand. Thanks Bosch for a less than stellar customer service response from your authorized service agency technicians.

My husband checked and it was like they said it should be. I had the repair department from Lowes to come out. He replaced the drain hose, checked everything else and said I was good to go. He said I was using too much detergent. I did what he said about cleaning it and changed detergents and it still is smelling. I have been dealing with a non-working tankless water heater for about a week, and Bosch customer service keeps telling me from pictures I sent that the install is incorrect. I have had many technicians come into my home and verify the setup and that Bosch, a reputable company, should accommodate us. Its been under 5 years since we have used these units and with not having hot water for almost a week and the countless phone calls to Bosch and emails with pictures, I am resorting to going to the Better Business Bureau. We had the town of Clifton verify everything before they issued us a Certificate of Occupancy. This CO would not be issued if a potential threat was posed due to incorrect installation. We also called Clifton City Hall, who said install was done according to city code. Of two, only one tankless water heater works. I will mention all over social media how Bosch treated this situation and my overall experience. We had to pay multiple amounts to the plumbers who visited our home, who ended up telling us this is something Bosch should be handling for us. Where is Bosch when this customer needs them to help? The 15 year warranty is mighty easy to void isnt it. Also, if Bosch is so confident that the install is incorrect, why doesnt Bosch come here and take a look themselves? Id appreciate a response as this is getting extremely frustrating.

I recently moved into a new construction townhome with a Bosch Dishwasher. I immediately noticed the dishwasher had some issues and a pump ran for about 3-4 days after the cycle was finished. I called Bosch customer service and they said if they sent someone out and there was an installation vice a mechanical error I would be charged for the trip despite the dishwasher still being under warranty. I can understand that if they didnt do the installation they would not be responsible for installation issues, but charging for the trip (I cant remember the price, but it wasnt insignificant) is ridiculous when its a brand new dishwasher. How am I expected to know what the problem is? I didnt know what the source of the problem was, so I decided to wait and contact the installer. I finally got an appointment made through the installer about a month later (the repairman was actually a Bosch employee anyways). He determined the tub was cracked and not repairable. I will admit it took me about a week to send them my closing documentation from the house (proof of date of purchase), although I feel like they should have a record of sale to the builders someplace. The appointment was in mid June. It is now end of August and I still dont have my dishwasher.Bosch called me once by accident and said they would be in touch within 24 hours to confirm I was eligible to have my dishwasher replaced. I called them multiple times to see what the hold up was, they never had a good excuse (kept saying it would be 5-7 business days to verify that I was eligible for replacement). I dont know how long it takes to verify that a dishwasher is less than a year old, but apparently it takes Bosch over 2 months. What finally broke my cool and had me write this interview was my final few calls with Bosch and the installer. I called the installer and they said they were only waiting on the approval paperwork from Bosch and said they would call Bosch again to have it sent. I called Bosch again the next day and they said they would send the paperwork within 30 min.I called the installer for the, hopefully, final time today and discovered they finally have the paperwork, but they dont actually have a dishwasher for me yet and wont have one for another 3 weeks! This is absolutely ridiculous. I can put up with a lot, but the level of incompetence and amount of blame passed back and forth between the installer and Bosch is intolerable. They obviously do not stand by their product and are incapable of processing the simplest paperwork. This is actually the first review Ive ever written, I know that makes some people disregard it, but its because of their complete incompetence I feel infuriated and obligated to get this experience in writing. I didnt even use any swear words. Their product isnt bad from what I can tell, but they need to fix their customer service.

I purchased a $1,600 Bosch dishwasher with the hope of owning a top rated and performing dishwasher. Wrong! This dishwasher has been nothing but trouble. At 8 months, it leaked profusely and caused $4,000 in damage to the kitchen in my 2 year old house. I live in Florida and this caused mold, which required remediation and the replacement of a kitchen cabinet. The pain of messing up my beautiful new home in addition to the loss of use of a dishwasher for 4 months. Their insurance company did pay, but my inconvenience and exposure to the mold was not even considered. The next year, the power cord was recalled due to fires. A backorder for the part took one month. Last month, the drain pump failed and another 3 weeks of no dishwasher. All told, this dishwasher has been out of commission for almost 5 months. Bosch’s Reply is, The dishwasher is out of warranty, so take it up with your extended warranty. What about Bosch’s obligation to provide the customer with the goods that they paid for? Did I mention how rude the customer service reps are? Bosch needs to own up to their shortcomings and be fair to the consumer. Lemons happen and they need to correct the situation with a new product. Don’t hold your breath!

April 25th 2017 we took our new refrigerator home. Everything was fine until August 21 it stopped cooling. Called Factory Direct Appliance because I bought the extended warranty and they said to call Bosch. So I called Bosch and they set me up with a ticket and recommended a repair place that services their appliances. That company is called At Your Service repair and they are as bad or worse than Bosch. They couldnt come out for a week. So a week without a fridge and when he shows up tells me that they have to order the part. A circuit board that tells the compressor to kick on. Tells me it will be a week and a half before they get it and sets a time to come back out. That day approaches, the Friday after Labor Day, and I hadnt heard from anyone so I called them. They proceed to tell me that the part is on backorder and they have no idea when it will get here. So I waited a week or two and decided to call Bosch again. They tell me that it is on backorder until December. So I said no problem, replace my refrigerator. They said send us proof of purchase and the diagnostic from the repair shop so I did. Another week goes by and I hear nothing. So I call Bosch again, and now they miraculously found the part from Appliance Parts Depot. Meanwhile the repair place has closed the ticket because they were told it would be replaced. So Bosch says that they are sending the part to At Your Service. I call at At Your Service and they know nothing of it. Keep in mind here who is doing all the calling. Neither of these outfits called or cared how I was doing, if I was taken care of or if I was happy or satisfied. So now when I call one they send me to the other and vice versa. So now they do not want to replace my refrigerator and in fact are putting an aftermarket part in it. In a week it will be 2 months without a refrigerator and I am still the one calling trying to get answers and just get my appliance replaced. Bosch sucks. I was looking at buying a Bosch table saw, cordless drills etc. because I liked the way they perform but I will never buy anything Bosch because they dont stand behind their product and they definitely dont care about their consumers.

When remodeling my kitchen my sister in law told me not to buy a Bosch dishwasher. She dislikes hers. We were buying all other Bosch appliances so we risked it. The dishwasher came unusable. The drum that houses the dishwasher and holds the water in was pierced in manufacture. It took us one month and many phone calls to get a Bosch technician out to tell us it was not repairable and authorize replacement. It then took Bosch 8 weeks to find a new replacement dishwasher and someone to install it. We live in Philadelphia, you could trip over plumbers in our neighborhood. Now it is less than a year since we have the brand new replacement and it no longer works. Waited 2 weeks to get a technician out to tell us that the pump, mother board and one other part have gone bad. Problem is they are not in stock so now we are one month into no working dishwasher (again) and still waiting for repair. Each call to Bosch is at least a 20 minute wait on hold (apparently they have a slew of problems to deal with) and it takes at least 3 phone calls to get anyone out to your house. Just dont do it. I had a Bosch Dishwasher go out on us while still under warranty. This happened in March, it is now mid September. In order to have warranty work done, you have to go through one of Boschs certified repair facilities. A gomer from the worst appliance service firm in town came out 3 times at over $75.00 a crack. They ordered parts, which Bosch was out of. Our problem was so rare according to the wonderfully inept anti-customer service rep that I spoke to, that actually drew out a long sigh on the phone like I was interrupting a wonderful game of spider solitaire. Fast forward, 3 more service calls and we still have a wonderfully designed German paperweight. Gomer Senior from the Authorized Service Company let us slide on the last service call because he flooded my basement. Yes, a dishwasher repairman forgot about the water that could be in a dishwasher. I called Bosch and said no more, enough, just stop. I sent them 8 pages of documentation with the time line of our torture and heard nothing from them. Fast forward, several e-mails and placed calls to Pam, the Manager. I am starting to think that Pam is paid a piece rate by LG or Whirlpool to see how many customers she can send away from Bosch. Pam never returned my e-mails, or phone calls. Mind you, in her defense the one area she has trained her wonderful, rude, and inept staff in is to avoid forwarding anything to her. Then, just the guy making $8.00 per hour can get blamed. I was just told today that 3 weeks ago, she denied that Bosch was responsible for anything. Is this for real? are you sure you want to take that road Pam?

Their rate at the time was in excess of $100.00 per hour. I explained to the rep that I did not want to pay that much if there was a possibility it was not the same problem. She assured me that there would be no charge for the diagnosis. The repairman came and found that the electrical connection to the unit had shorted. He installed a new wire connector at no charge even though it was no fault of their product. It has been working fine since then and is now ten year old, but when it does finally die I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher. We had a new kitchen last March and decided after much research we would buy Bosch appliances, supposedly they are very reliable. Unfortunately we found them not to be! We purchased 6 appliances at a cost of around 5k. After 1 week the extractor decided to not work. I informed Bosch and they came out and repaired it although it took 2 visits, though I must say it is not easy getting them out when it suits and I ended up taking a day off work. Whilst he was there on his 2 visit I reported the fridge/freezer was not getting cold. The engineer advised switching it off and then switching it back on at the lowest level to see if that sorted it, it didnt. Another call to Bosch and another visit from an engineer. He advised that the fridge/freezer needed re-gassing. I advised him it was a brand new fridge only a month old and I wasnt prepared to accept a repair and insisted on a new one. Bosch agreed and duly delivered a new one, this meant getting my kitchen fitter back in as it was integrated, again more time off.Now 9 months in and the main oven has a problem, after putting it on the self-clean setting when it had finished we opened the door and the glass cover clip had broken. Again another call to Bosch and another day off to accommodate the arrival of the engineer. I must say I am very disappointed in first the products and secondly Boschs customer service. They are very slow in coming back to you and not very cooperative either. They have agreed to cover all the appliances for an extra year on top of their 2 year guarantee but it is the inconvenience of it that really annoys me. Lets hope the remaining 50% of the appliances stand the test of time! Great appliances though when working!

I have had a Bosch dishwasher for a number of years and I have never been satisfied with it. First, it does not clean dishes, glassware and silver ware and second, it does not dry anything, including the inside of washer. I have followed all directions and use jet dry. I clean it periodically with vinegar. It is quiet! I will not buy another. I have a cheap contractor’s machine in my summer house and love it. It was cheap!

Bought a very expensive Bosch slide in range and we are extremely disappointed! First of all, the oven takes FOREVER to heat, the oven door has something happening in between the glass panels that slightly obstructs the view (happened just a year after the purchase), replaced the electrical panel which cost us $450 and now none of the burners are igniting, so well endure another repair! This is all within a five year period! Dont buy Bosch - its junk! We never had to repair our cheap Kenmores - EVER!

I had a Bosch refrigerator for many years and was very happy. I recently had to renew the fridge and opted to buy Bosch again, however I am very disappointed in the new design. Shelves are not the right distance apart (not allowing the stacking of such things as 2 yogurt pots) thus wasting lots of space, putting a huge draw in place of a door shelf, door shelves with a cover, the freezer is much smaller than the previous even though the external dimensions are the same. The new fridge makes lots of squeaking noises. Your designers are IDIOTS. I will be looking at another manufacturer when I change this fridge.

I have bought several Bosch appliances. I’ve had less than desirable performance from them. Finding someone that will service a Bosch is impossible. I had a refrigerator stop working and they just let me know it was my tough luck that they couldn’t come for a service call for two weeks. The repair service in Birmingham was very unprofessional and seemed not to care. I will not buy another Bosch appliance.

I bought a Bosch stainless steel dishwasher in December 2012. Today, 12/2017 my dishwasher has rusted down the front. Bosch says it has not rusted through (water coming out) so it will not be repaired unless I want to pay the cost of a new front. I will never buy another Bosch product - my dishwasher that was replaced by this one was over 20 years old and had not rusted. I wish I had it back!

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Furniture & Appliance Mart in Madison, WI. This was delivered on 9/16/15 by them. The appliance was professionally installed by our own installer. We ate supper that night & then turned on the dishwasher. It went through one part of the cycle & started making a strange sound that just kept going. We looked at it & saw that we had an E-15 error. This means there is a water leak in the bottom pan. We tried to override & shut this off & could not, so we shut the dishwasher off at the breaker. We contacted Bosch Customer Service & they told us to do something we did not understand. They told us to call back in the morning. We called back the next morning (Thurs) at 8am. They told us Akrit would service this for us & would call us back within 24 hours. I waited around all day Friday & when they didnt call by 4pm, I called Akrit myself. They told me that Bosch never contacted them, but, after searching through something on-line, they found my service call. I told them the problem & Ashley contacted the tech directly & set me up by noon on Monday. The tech showed up on time on Monday & checked out the dishwasher. He did a thorough job & found a small leak in the left rear welded seam. Thats when the problems started. I have a list of times & people I spoke to, to no avail at Bosch customer service. Each one telling me that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. (Joke!) That never, ever happened once! Finally, by 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, we were able to talk to someone at Bosch to set a file (claim) with Bosch. They received a copy of our purchase & a copy of what the tech wrote & told us theyd get back to us within 24 hours. We called again on Wednesday morning. After my husband was told that the person in customer service would not get back to us until at least Thursday morning, we decided to take matters into our own hands. He went into the store of purchase, spoke to the manager, who contacted customer service at their corporate office. They apologized to us & set up a delivery, set-up and new dishwasher & are dealing with Bosch themselves. Bosch Customer Service, in my opinion, does not exist. By the way, our 2nd new dishwasher was delivered, setup & installed Friday afternoon & works wonderfully! This was done only because Appliance & Furniture Mart stepped in & took care of us, their customer. Bosch called us back around 4pm Friday, by the way, 3 days after we set up the claim.

To say Im beyond irritated is an understatement. For THREE WEEKS Ive tried contacting Bosch. I wait on hold for over an hour & submit service requests online, but they clearly dont care. I bought a house with a Bosch refrigerator & weve lived here for less than a year. So far the ice machine is broken & theres an internal fan that sounds like a semi trucks jake brake. Ive done troubleshooting on my own with 0 results. At this time Im reminded why I prefer Whirlpool, LG and Samsung. You dont get what you pay for with Bosch. Go with a more trusted brand.

Bosch Axxis Electric Dryer- For the first 2 years the dryer worked very well. I cleaned the lint filter after every use. Apparently there is a design flaw where the lint can blow inside the machine & build up next to the heating element. The first time, the safety shutoff tripped & when I checked why the machine wasnt on anymore, discovered a burning smell. For $120 the nice service man cleaned it out & showed me the burned lint. One year later the same thing happened but the lint hadnt started burning yet. I had it cleaned out & the service guy said it would need to be cleaned every year. At $120 for 15 minutes of work, this is not tenable. One year later (today) I smelled an acrid odor. I turned off the dryer; the safety shutoff did not work this time. The smoke coming out of the dryer set off the buildings fire alarm. Im not spending another penny on this poorly designed machine, only to have it burn down my building and putting several families on the street. Bosch admits its not a good thing that the lint can easily reach the heating element, but wont admit it is a design flaw. They advise yearly servicing. I will replace the dryer with a different brand; never buying a Bosch dryer again.

It has happened twice so far and I cannot find any instructions that would tell me I am not loading it correctly or something is blocking the detergent dispenser from getting sufficient water to empty its contents into the water at the bottom of the washer and be used during the wash cycle!!!

I bought my 800 series Bosch dishwasher a year and a half ago and while there were some bumps because I bought a used one from the Sears Discount Center the representatives were very prompt about repairing and then replacing my defective machine. Now that I have a functioning dishwasher it is not only my very favorite appliance of my house, it is one of my most beloved possessions. There are 10 people in my family and we are able to stack in a huge amount of dishes because the spacing of the racks are so well designed and the additional 3rd rack is able to accommodate all of the silverware. I have never had such clean dishes with so little pre-cleansing before I put the dishes in. There are times that still needs servicing due to the hard water in Arizona but once it is cleaned I am once again left with immaculately clean dishes every time, including my Bosch mixer which I can put in encrusted with dried bread dough and pots and pans. I am very disappointed to hear all of these awful reviews when truly it is the best appliance I have ever owned. All of my friends who have Bosch dishwashers feel the same way I do. There is no reason to buy any other brand. Do not let these bad experiences scare you away from a truly miraculous piece of equipment.

After roughly 4 years my Bosch dishwasher SHE4AM16UC/03 stopped working. First, the detergent dispenser door stopped opening, then wash cycle would short into a few minutes of activity, no real washing, and going straight to the Clean light. Bosch advertises its warranty for parts as 5 years, which in all practicality is not usable, because to get a faulty part for free you have to have a technician over to diagnose the problem and make repairs. The price is $99 for a visit fee and $120/hour labor afterwards. In my opinion, Bosch does not provide efficient warranty support for its appliances. It should be clearly stated as 1 year, not 5 years for the above reason. The dishwasher is poorly made and is a disappointment. I had units that never required any services or repair in 30 years from different manufacturers. I will not buy another Bosch appliance and hope that my experience with this dishwasher and the company will help other buyers make informed decisions.

Worst dishwasher weve ever had - does not hold many dishes as the racks are
Worst dishwasher weve ever had - does not hold many dishes as the racks are tiny. Forget about putting bowls in the lower rack, if you do you cant add plates as they bump up against each other. The lower rack falls off the track if the bottom rack is fully loaded and then you have to pick it up and try to get it back on track. The SMELL - OMG, since day one we have removed the strainer in the bottom, rinsed it and allowed it to dry in between washings - noticed an inch of water in the well at the bottom - which adds to the smell. Called repair and they simply state, Thats the design. Well let me tell you the design sucks!Never in my many, many years of owning dishwashers have I EVER dealt with a smell like this. It is embarrassing when you have company and open it as the entire kitchen ends up smelling like a TRASH HEAP! So now we buy deodorizers to keep the smell at bay, and rinse agent to help the dishwasher do its job, and detergent, and dishwasher cleaner, 4 products - unreal. Who knows maybe they are in cahoots with the manufacturers of these products (or who knows maybe they are the ones who make them - because their dishwasher SUCKS! Did I say that already?).

Nexxt Dryer Model No. WTMC3300US-01 - We bought this dryer new in 2004, and it worked wonderfully. After we owned it for about 7 years, the dryer started to make a harsh grating grinding noise. We immediately stopped it. When I opened the back of the dryer, it was clear the motor retainer clip had slipped off the circular end of the motor such that the motor axle could no longer be turned easily which caused the grinding noise. I remounted the axle and retaining spring and the dryer worked correctly until about 2 weeks later it happened again. I repaired it again. A month later the same thing. After about 10 iterations of this, I ordered a new retainer clip thinking that the clip had lost its retaining ability. After 3 months, the retainer clip slipped and I repaired it again. I thought Bosch made better stuff than this.

Bosch dishwashers are the absolute biggest pieces of junk! I spent over $800.00 on their dishwasher and it has broken down 20 times in 6 months! My cousin was going to purchase 50 dishwashers for a condo unit he is building. Guess what!? He isnt anymore! The stench from the dishes not getting cleaned is disgusting. Never, ever buy Bosch for anything! Their customer service is the WORST!!! The water does not fill leaving the dishwasher to run for over 2 hours never cleaning a single dish. I have had dinner parties and the dishwasher has not worked, (as usual) leaving myself and my guests disgusted at the mess. Super please with this purchase. Been using it 6 months now, supplies our bathroom shower and kitchen sink. We take a shower with it no problem, however if my wife turns on kitchen sink hot water, temp drops substantially in the shower. This small units can really only handle one demand at a time... which is fine for us. We live simple, 600 sqft house. Here's the only tricky thing about it, and it's just a limitation of the size of the unit: the bath-tub water flow is too much to heat the water sufficiently, so I had to manually close my hot water valve to the bathtub about half way. This slows the flow of the water through the water heating unit and allows it to get hot enough to be good for bath temperature. So the bath tub takes a while to fill. Not a big deal for us. I did a lot of reading on different units and this one seemed to have the best reviews. Even if this unit died in a couple years, I would buy it again and re-install a new one.

I do like my new dishwasher - cleans great and is quiet but there is a smell. This is not food related, or deposit related since it is only 2 weeks old. In the last few months I bought a trimmer from Amazon and was delighted with the product, however recently the battery started to spark and the trimmer now doesn’t work. I called up the service centre 2 days ago, I spoke to the most delightful lady who was really helpful and explained to me what the process was to get the trimmer fixed. Explained that I would need to print off a courier label that will need to be taped to a box that will hold trimmer because the a third party courier will be picking it up. I explained I don’t have a printer at home and live a in a small remote village and will not be sure when I can get to a printer. She said that it’s fine and that she will send me a pre print receipt and I can print that and then call her back to sort out a delivery.I didn’t receive the email with the label so I decided to call back today to try and get it sent back to me. I dial the number and give my reference number and let the man know I’m waiting for an email. To my surprise the man on the phone was rude and unprofessional, belittling me by saying that is not the process and that I need to arrange it and then get the email to me once it’s been processed.I try to explain the situation with the printer to get the label. He said, No need for a label but you need proof of purchase in the box. I said well printing is not really an option for me because of my situation to which he gave me ‘tough luck’ attitude. Then went on to say, Well do you want to arrange it or not? I replied to enquiry can I arrange it for a future date, which he said, No. We only do it 24 hours in advance, then he was of no help and pressured me to answer like I didn’t have time to even think about whether this is an option for me. And then he went on to say, The previous person you spoke to told you the wrong information. I’ll look up who it is and have them retrained. Disgusting attitude bad mouthing your own colleagues like that. This has been one of my worst experiences with customer services given my initial interaction was one of the most pleasantest conversations. Poor customer service and I’ll be glad this is the last time I buy from you again.

This is our second Bosch dishwasher. The first one died within a year and was replaced (though it took ages). We loved the way it worked, esp. the silence of it, but were surprised by the failure of a new appliance. The customer service was not great. New house, new DW: this one died within 11 months of purchase and installation. And I am a super-neat-freak the dishes are almost clean when they go in dishwasher user. But still, this new Bosch died 11 months in, and 5 weeks after reporting the problem were still being given the run-around.After trying to replace the board and sensor unit on site this past week, the service guys hauled it away, damaging my cabinetry. And suddenly (lo, presto!) we now, 2 days later, have a leak under our sink, which is adjacent to the DW, from where they pulled the fill/drain hoses and did god knows what. Next time I will camp over their shoulders, video camera on. So: 5 weeks after reporting the Bosch units failure, we have no dishwasher, and are unable to use our kitchen sink. I am disgusted.
