Purchased the Bosch Dishwasher SilencePlus 44 dBA model during a full kitch
Purchased the Bosch Dishwasher SilencePlus 44 dBA model during a full kitchen remodel. After using the dishwasher for 30-days, it was returned in exchange for a Kitchen Aid model. Chief complaint (for us) is the dishwasher remains wet inside after washing dishes and never dries out. Dishes remain damp and not fully dry. Tired of leaving the door open overnight to let the dishwasher dry. During the time we had it, because of the inside not drying, a musty odor is becoming noticeable. With this wet condition and closed, we are concern about it developing mold. Absolutely would not recommend this model or manufacturer. In speaking to the appliance representative where the dishwasher was purchased, the rep indicated that this remaining wet issue about Bosch dishwashers is very common and others have voiced the same complaint.

I bought a BOSCH refrigerator 3 years ago. Fridge wont dispense water or ice. The unit has a broken wire in the cabinet and the issue is non-repairable. Youd expect this issue with a fridge that 10+ years old. NOT 3!! I paid $1700!! I called customer service and was told that there is nothing they can do, Its a man made product. I paid a premium for what I thought was quality!!! It was crap instead. DO NOT buy products from BOSCH.

We are currently in our 3rd year with our current Bosch Oven. The fist oven was damaged internally in shipment and had to be replaced. The second oven was installed and never worked. The third worked for 2 1/2 years after which the cooktop stopped functioning. The repair estimate was $ 800.00 to $ 1500.00. When we call Bosch it appears they are focused on the dishwasher recall ....

Have had 2 Bosch Dishwashers in the last 20 years, only reason for two, well we sold the 1st with the house in Florida, then when we moved to TX, gutted new kitchen, installed all new appliances and Bosch was one of them! In 2012 we renovated our kitchen, and laundry with 9 appliance that included built in coffeemaker and range hood. The appliance are poorly made and the parts are expensive. The first to go was dryer, that repeatedly gave lint error message and would not switch on. The next was built in microwave oven at 4 years. Then the washing machine has to be replaced at 5 years. In the 7th year it is the built in double oven, after minor troubles over 2 years finally failed completely. The company is not helpful. We can not talk to their technical support since they only talk to their own select group of technicians. The spare parts are ridiculously expensive. These appliances are unreliable. Please stay away from these appliances.

I bought all Bosch appliances for my kitchen (except for the fridge) including washer and dryer. Right from the start I had problems with my oven and the dishwasher did not clean well. I got service in and they basically said to use another dish soap. Then my oven totally did not work and died on us for Christmas dinner. In a nutshell customer service was awful. I was calling in Canada then got re-routed to the States for Customer Service. Once there I had some action. But my oven does not work well. Since then my dishwasher racks are all broken. Buying Bosch was the worst choice - never again.

I wish I had something good to say about my Bosch kitchen appliances. I redid my kitchen oven, cooktop, exhaust fan, microwave, and dishwasher with Bosch products. I lasted about a month with the dishwasher and told my husband I wasnt going to live the next five years with it. I replaced it with a Kenmore and couldnt be happier. The Bosch racks were terribly, inefficiently configured - that was my worst complaint. It smelled sour. The microwave is OK as far as doing the job, but its not handy in any way and is impossible to clean because for one thing I cant reach the back of it without a step stool. You have to put in the number of minutes and seconds every time you use it. The convection oven doesnt thrill me at all. My cookies turn out pasty and it doesnt seem to do anything any faster at any temperature.Same old oven as far as Im concerned. I bang my head on the exhaust fan whenever I try to see what is on the back burner. The burners on the cooktop are too big for the pots, except for the smallest ones. The knobs on the cooktop get very hot and are hard to adjust with a pot on them. Lets see if there is anything good I have to say. They look pretty, but the engineers who designed them have never even boiled water much less cooked a meal, and they have certainly never cleaned them or even used them.

We bought a new home about a year ago and we were happy that it came with a Bosch dishwasher. We had no idea that the dishwasher was on recall and about 6 months after we moved in, the dishwasher caught fire while we were in the living room. The only compensation that Bosch would offer us is 40% off another dishwasher if we order it through their website. Believe me, if your dishwasher bursts into flames in your kitchen and you have to have the fire department remove it from your home, you wont want to put the exact same product back in your house! I am very frustrated with a company that I thought was a high end brand leaving me to pay to replace their defective product. Id pick a different company if I were you!

Purchased a new Bosch French door refrigerator. Two weeks later the ice maker stopped working. Called for service. Noticed the vegetable and deli drawers had frozen everything solid. Noticed all the food in the rear of the device was partly frozen. Rep came out and announced the ice maker was defective, needed to be replaced. Ordered new one. He also explained that the ice maker regulates the temp for the refrigerator. Replaced the ice maker. The ice maker constantly drips all over the refrigerator. The water and ice dispensers do not work well. Ice either comes out at a breakneck speed or not at all. Water sprays out all over the place. Very poor engineering.I still have occasional freezing in the veg drawers. Spoke to the Bosh consumer agent, she was arrogant, rude and generally unhelpful. Suggested to me I not put vegetables in the veg drawers, as they tend to freeze! I asked her if she was planning to send another device out for purpose of cooling the verges. She became even nastier. My opinion, run in another direction if you see Bosch while shopping for appliances. Also, my daughter apparently bought a Bosch side by side and hates it. Rues the day. Wish I had spoken to her first.

I purchased and installed the Bosch HMB8050/HBL8750 stacked microwave/convection oven and built-in oven pair in 2011. The microwave/convection oven was great in terms of roasting small items and we used it very frequently. That is until the convection part of the oven did not deliver the preset temperature and was making rattling noises. The repair technician determined that it was the drive shaft of the fan is broken causing temperature not distributing properly. We went to all the appliance parts suppliers and could not find the part as it has been discontinued. I also contacted Bosch directly, after being re-directed to 3 or 4 different numbers and confusion with the part number, they said no part was available. We tried to replace the microwave/convection oven with another Bosch but the model is discontinued. New models are now all flushed with the cabinets which means my existing cabinet has to be rebuilt and will look out of place with the existing built-in oven. Found a different make microwave/convection oven ($700) that may fits in the existing cut out but discovered that the Bosch microwave/convection oven and built-in oven shared the same power source!! The Bosch representative recommended replacing the complete system!!! So, because of a $180 part that Bosch discontinued will require me to take out a working microwave AND a perfectly working built-in oven and put in another Bosch $5,000 to $7, 000 combination oven in?? NO WAY! Will I buy another Bosch again? NO WAY! It is absolutely ridiculous to discontinue a part barely 10 years after a product in the market. Shame on Bosch.

My new Bosch dishwasher is simply the best I’ve ever had. The fact that it looks nice in my kitchen makes it nice, but the way the loading space is utilized makes it the best. I bought my new Bosch HBL5450UC 30 electric oven in November of 2013. Last night as I was cooking dinner, I had fully heated the oven to 400 degrees and had food baking for about 10 minutes when the interior glass door cracked and fell all over my floor (and my dog). Luckily its tempered glass, but it was a pain to clean up and scared the hell out of my dog (and me). Just called Bosch customer support and they are sending a technician out to fix it. This was not a cheap oven and I bought it because the brand is supposed to be highly reliable. I can say their customer service so far has been good, so thats something. Apparently they will either replace the glass or the door, not sure which yet. As far as I can tell, this has only been an issue for other people with running the self-clean mode (I was simply cooking in it).

We bought our unit in February and had it installed in March, a month later. But the microwave component did not work from Day 1!!! We called the warranty support line and was given several repair shops to call. Some would not serve our area as we are out of the city. The third one on their list came out in April and verified that the unit was not working and needed two new parts. Upon returning to the shop, he confirmed that they would have to be ordered. Four weeks later, after hearing nothing, we called to find that the parts were not yet in. Less than a week later, now late in May, they arrived. They were installed and the unit worked on June 9th. We called to see about a warranty extension so that it would start in June rather than February. But they categorically refused. Bad unit, bad warranty service experience, bad experience with Bosch customer service.

First of all they should replace the grates for free, why put some material that does not hold up to fire on the grates, and second why would they not be able to furnish me with information on the new grates as to the material they are made of and if they have the same plastic coating on the grates. Why would I want to buy the same junk so it can be an ongoing sale?

This Bosch wall oven is the worst purchase I have ever made. Sometimes it shuts itself off during baking. Sometimes the broiler turns on by itself during baking, causing the oven to overheat to extreme temperatures. Every computer component was replaced while under warranty; some components more than once. It was finally determined to be unrepairable by the repair person who had been here numerous times. The warranty company sent another repair company who told them that the oven did not fail during the one time that they were here, so the warranty co. told me that I had to pay the service call fee & that they would not return. Bosch refused to accept any responsibility for the product. As the extended warranty has now expired, I am now without an oven or any recourse.

We upgraded our kitchen 5 years ago and went with Bosch because they were supposedly high quality appliances. We bought a Bosch built in oven/microwave appliance and did a custom rock wall around it. The appliance failed with 1 1/2 years. Bosch was not easy to deal with. We could not get a Bosch repair person because they refused to travel into the county side. Bosch did replace it with a slightly different size unit, so we had to adjust our wall. Now 3 years later this unit has failed. We bought a Bosch dishwasher for about $700 shortly after the 2009 recall (dishwashers bursting into flames due to electronics issue). We thought that the quality issues were limited to a single electronic component, and previously the company had a good reputation. The dishwasher cleans dishes, so we should be happy, right? In the past year, the control buttons and the plastic countdown window have popped out one by one. Today is my second round of DIY repair. The reason for repeated button loss is now very clear - the front fascia panel is made of a thin panel of ABS. This is not just a decorative panel - the stress of door opening with every use is applied to the panel, which is now cracked. Because of a design flaw, the cracks propagate right into the button area - so I no longer have a way to keep those buttons from falling out.Parts are available on the Bosch web site - only $86 plus shipping for the fascia and the missing button. The replacement panel will have the same design issue as the original, so this may buy me a year, 2 years or three of intact dishwasher. For environmental and financial reasons, I expect a dishwasher to last about 15 years. I am very disappointed by the substantial repair time and cost caused by an under designed appliance part. The model number is she45m02UC/53 and the part of doom is panel-fascia 478810.

DO NOT BUY BOSCH APPLIANCES. Lousy quality, terrible, unethical and helpless customer service, supervision and management policies. I currently own several thousand dollars of expensive Bosch appliances that are in my judgement and based on experience, poorly designed, poorly engineered, poorly fabricated with deficient materials & components and assembled with lousy craftsmanship Poorly made products indeed, contrary to other high quality Bosch tools, equipment and electronic components used in German made cars. The microwave oven [HMB5050/01] is sitting there for more than six months waiting for Bosch to authorize me to take it to a local dealer at no charge for their required service inspection. It is unacceptable, unreasonable and unethical that the microwave oven is totally useless after only a year+ and should have to be replaced under warranty even if it had expired a few months prior. Now, for whatever reason the SS refrigerator doors are rusting!!! badly [B26FT70SNS/04]. It is unreasonable and unacceptable for any 300 series quality ASME SS to rust in this day and age, it is terrible that your customer service rep argued on the 10 yr warranty first that it was the cleaning product we use [none-my wife will not use any chemicals] and then that warranty only covers rusted perforations!!! I understand manufacturing quality problems that escape inspection or lousy purchasing specifications for defective austenitic steels [industry wide problem] but expect for the manufacturer as reputable as Bosch [was] to back its products ethically and accordingly to the nameplate they carry. The ice maker doesnt work, the shelving pops out, and it cracks easily. The dishwasher’s [800 SERIES SHE68R55UC] text by the buttons has faded away and sometimes it doesn’t dry completely and to top it all, I did not get my full $1500 rebate from Bosch when I purchased all the appliances under a ridiculous excuse on some of the appliances [“we don’t recognize the serial numbers”]. Reading throughout the enormous quantity of negative internet posts it looks like this should be a recall issue. I was hopeful that Bosch would come through as you all have with other customers but they didn’t. Their policies are not applied in a consistent manner; A reviewer at Amazon said I was very pleased that Bosh arranged to have my microwave fixed, even though it was 3 years out of warranty. I encourage anyone with similar problems to contact them rather than rant and rave about the problem, give them a chance to make it right.” Well, not to me regrettably.

We purchased a Bosch washer and dryer just a little over a year ago. The control unit went out on the dryer. I got the run around from customer service (warranty coverage) and finally they gave us contacts for service. The first individual failed to show up or call. So we had to call back to get some other service representatives names. The next service representative was helpful (was finally able to get clothes out of the dryer) following his direction. However, he was not able to come out for service until the following week. I called back the customer service number again and the individual was willing to order the control unit but the computer system was down and I would have to call back on Monday. Bosch washing machine. Plenty of washing programmes. Good value for money. Quick wash is excellent. I have had the machine over ten years and would buy the same make again. Energy efficiency, brand reputation and price. Dryer would be a different purchase. I would look around and see the best one on the market so do not dry as well as others. A product that does not start to rust within the first twelve months, and no paint chipping and find out cost of spares. Some makes are expensive to repair. Very pleased with Bosch washing machine. I always get a clean wash. The one thing that does annoy me is the powder tray. This gets so black and over the years I have found weak bleach solution will clean the tray (when removed), but even this fails to stop the holes above the dispenser, becoming blocked with the black slime (caused by washing powder and plastic). I have had the unit replaced twice. I would like all manufacturers to try and resolve this problem. Rather expensive over ten years, but so far no other problems.

Recently I was given a yr-old Bosch dishwasher. The person who gave it to me was re-doing her kitchen and it was white. She was now going SS but she said it never cleaned properly. Knowing she was not one to scrape her dishes, I thought that might be the issue. Over the course of 15 yrs, I have had various Bosch dishwashers and they were notorious for leaving food behind. I figured by this time the problem would be fixed...wrong. The only way I can get clean dishes is to thoroughly wash everything before I put them in the machine and even then it doesnt guarantee anything. Its almost like it makes its own grime. I clean all of the multiple filters between each use. I make sure the spray arms are clean and moving. My hot water is at 140, I use Cascade Complete. It also takes forever to run a cycle 2 hours to get dirty dishes. My $199 Maytag with 1 wash are cleaned better than any of the Bosch Ive had. It is however very quiet.

Purchased a new home, wanted to replace all appliances, ordered BOSCH 800 S
Purchased a new home, wanted to replace all appliances, ordered BOSCH 800 SERIES 3 refrigerator, BOSCH 800 SERIES Dishwasher and BOSCH 800 SERIES 36IN. FLAME cooktop on 8/7/20. Regret it! Regret it totally. Waited 6 weeks for the cooktop to arrive with an impressive tagline ‘Cook with precision’, but the BRAND fails to live up to it miserably. To begin with I was always struggling to cook simply because the lower flame (simmer) burners are in the front and bigger flames ones are at the back (who cooks that ways??); if I started cooking on front burners, it felt like ages to even stir fry and if I started cooking at the rear, I was falling way too over my food simmering on the front burners risking burning myself. It was like juggling and guessing which burner to use for what and finally after having burnt myself more than a few times, I figured I could only use the center one for day-to-day cooking else I was just wasting my time (in hopes of ‘cooking with precision’) and getting burnt. As if this struggle wasn’t enough, in two months’ time the right front burner started shooting flames out near the sensor, which was hitting the cooktop surface and discoloring it. It wasn’t until the stainless steel surface was fairly dark that we noticed, what was actually happening and contacted the customer service (on 12/21/20) for help only to be told (on 1/10/21) that our problem was a cosmetic issue. When we refused to agree and sent more pictures, we were told, “We unfortunately would not have any sort of troubleshooting for this specific scenario and we can only recommend contacting your local authorized servicer in order to have this matter better addressed” and referred three companies. We shared this video (**) with the customer service on 1/22/21 hoping to get a feedback from the R&D team but BOSCH’s customer service didn’t even bother to acknowledge, leave aside respond to the safety hazard this design of the cooktop poses to its users which can be serious and life threatening. Having tested Covid positive, we couldn’t call the technical support (referred to by BOSCH) until April ’21. The chap comes in looks at every nook and corner of the cooktop but could not figure out a thing in 15 mins. Then another chap comes in in a few days and tells it is the burner cap that is causing for the flames to shoot. But, he still doesn’t know why? He goes back, calls BOSCH and gets back asking if we had another burner cap? Well yes, it is just 1mm smaller in size w.r.t the one currently on the burner. Eureka! We have the wrong burner cap on and an invoice from the technician stating BOSCH will not cover this. Now, that I know of the reason for the shooting flames, I agree that it was probably a mix-up of the burner caps while cleaning. BUT, then did BOSCH put a symbol or mechanism in place to ensure that users don’t do that mistake? BOSCH expects me to compare the sizes of the burner caps each time I put them back but would not work on designing things better. Well, why? Because BOSCH is a BRAND, a BIG BRAND, that sells stuff at HIGH PRICES, built with PRECISION to work in LABS not homes.   Just now (5/5/21) ended a call with DAVID **, a supervisor with BOSCH customer service who made me realize how empty BOSCH is as a BRAND. How its an ALL-HAT, NO-CATTLE company. Politeness and courtesy, two of the basics of customer service, they are not even present in BOSCHs customer service supervisors leave aside representatives. He says, I should clean one burner at a time to avoid confusion or the mix-up. Wow! What an idea? And, why should I do that because my time is FREE and he wouldn’t spend discussing paying for the invoice because his time is money! I’m surprised that BOSCH wouldn’t cover issues that its customer service or referred authorized service providers cannot figure out in just a few seconds considering it’s so trivial and BOSCH must come across such complaints on a day-to-day basis. BOSCH not only has a bad product with hazardous design in market but also has the worst customer service I have experienced till date. BOSCH’s R&D designs cooktops to cook with precision which means cook in hours and its customer service supervisor asks you to clean one burner at a time which means clean in hours too! On top of that BOSCH’s marketing team will spam your mailboxes with appliance service plan flyers every couple of week even when BOSCH neither covers the most basic operational issues nor has an efficient team of knowledgeable customer service or technical professionals to address them timely. What a shame!

We purchased our Bosch Nexxt 500 Series washer on 7-10-2007 and within a few weeks noticed that our laundry smelled musty and that the whites were no longer white. The smell worsened to the point where I hold my breath when using a washcloth as I wash my face. When I called Lowes I was reminded to use only one tablespoon of high energy detergent, use Affresh Grit Grabber to wipe down the door gasket and the rubber boot of the tub and keep the door ajar. This same information was provided me by Bosch Consumer Service. I also run an empty load with vinegar/bleach every couple weeks. The door stays ajar at all times except when running a load of laundry. There have been times when so little water enters the machine that the laundry comes out still dry in areas but the worst is the bad smell of our laundry. I am so very disappointed in my waste of a thousand dollars and embarrassed that I still have this Energy Efficient washer but dont know where to turn.

I used to be a happy Bosch customer. I had a Bosch dishwasher for 10 years and liked it so much that I even recommended Bosch to my friends. Last year I bought a 500 DLX model. From the beginning I could see that the new machine did not clean my dishes as well as the old one. I have done everything the manual suggests and I am still dissatisfied with the performance. When I called Customer Service today the woman was not at all helpful, especially when she saw that I am two months past my 1-year warranty. I strongly object to the warranty starting when I purchased it. It was installed on Jan. 22, 2015, so it has been in use less than a year. It looks like I am stuck with an inferior appliance and I will not recommend this brand to anyone ever again.

This is one of the few true slide-in ranges left on the market that overlap the counter on each side. The cooktop is powerful, with great temp control and flexible configuration. The oven bakes so perfectly and evenly, it made me realize what I had been missing for years with my old oven. The convection settings work great, as does the proof setting and the warming drawer. Best range I’ve ever owned.

When my Bosch dishwasher was 4 years old a safety recall was done at no charge. I had a similar problem again four more years later and called their customer help line to see what it would cost to have a service technician check it out. When I gave them my serial number and explained the problem I was having the representative said it may be the same problem as previous and as it was safety related there would be no charge. Their rate at the time was in excess of $100.00 per hour. I explained to the rep that I did not want to pay that much if there was a possibility it was not the same problem. She assured me that there would be no charge for the diagnosis. The repairman came and found that the electrical connection to the unit had shorted. He installed a new wire connector at no charge even though it was no fault of their product. It has been working fine since then and is now ten year old, but when it does finally die I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher. Their product and service has far exceeded my expectations.

The lady was only concerned about if I was certified to work on my own personal equipment that I bought from your company. I am very knowledgeable about the electrical and mechanical equipment; I am a machinist over 40 some years. She advised me that I had to have a service tech call her to get the information off of her. You cant even find a park to replace the equipment that I have. What piss poor support. I purchased 3 Bosch appliances less than six years ago - 2 ovens and a 5-burner cooktop. When deciding on the purchase, my appliance dealer assured me that Bosch produces high end appliances. We went ahead with the purchase and paid high end prices too. Now, less than six years after we bought them, all 3 appliances are malfunctioning. Its so strange - almost like they have a pre-ordained life span from the manufacturer, because they all broke within the same 4 - 6 weeks. We have been trying to get them repaired through Bosch service for over a month and they are dragging their feet and giving us a horrible runaround. What a shame! I dont think I shall ever purchase another Bosch appliance nor recommend them to any of my friends or relatives. The customer service reps are lying to us, changing their minds, changing their strategies, not calling back, making offers then going back on their word... Its all horrible. I regret the day I ever bought Bosch.

They said, “Do not run at night, open immediately after cycle to get drier dishes.” Are they kidding? $1000 for a dishwasher you cannot run at night! DO NOT BUY BOSCH products. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a a service tech to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained. I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didnt. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

The one star is for the quiet dishwasher purchased. It is quiet probably because it does not work. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher because it was supposed to be top of the line in dishwashers. Unfortunately, I was swayed to the quietness and not the cleanliness. The racks are designed for the number of dishes it can wash. Unfortunately, I need to wash frying pans, bowl, utensils, cups, glasses, etc. Considering that it holds so many dishes, nowhere is there a China or crystal setting. Worse yet, my load is not complete clean, even on the heavy cycle, even though I am using the recommended Finish products. There is no room for bowls, large dishes. Plastic items have a film remaining behind and pots or fry pans still have food in them and a greasy feel to them. Unless you plan to buy the most expensive Bosch model you would be better off with a less expensive model with generic racks that fit the items you cook with as well as just dishes.

In 2002 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher which we couldnt be happier with. At the same time we were talked into purchasing a Bosch oven which I have never liked. Temperature has always been uneven and I have needed to be sure to turn dishes during baking to cook evenly, especially baked cookies, pies and cakes. Recently, after broiling a meal, the oven just quit. The only thing working was the clock and timer. Authorized Sears service repair came out and had a lot of trouble figuring out the design schematic in the first place. He finally found a broken selector switch but was told the appliance and all repair parts have been discontinued and is unable to be repaired. An e-mail from Bosch replying to my complaint simply reiterated that the oven has been discontinued and to try ordering from discontinued parts websites. No offer to compensate or assist in locating the part, which I have been unable to find on my own. Now our home has been sold and the buyers are requesting we replace the oven, forcing us to spend upwards of $1,000 on an oven we wont be using! Buyers beware of Bosch. Customer service is useless to say the least.

SuperSilence 42 dBA (Model SHX7ER55UC/50) - We have had this dishwasher about 2-1/2 years, so it is beyond warranty for this problem. The dishwasher has performed well despite a recall to replace the power cord. Now, however, the plastic caps at the ends of the door handle are cracking and breaking off. Their authorized dealer/rep wants a $90 service charge to replace in $20 parts. They knew exactly what we were talking about, so I suspect this is a well known Bosch problem. Bosch customer service is stonewalling us. Its a small thing compared to most of the other complaints on this website, but Bosch should understand that it is enough to make us go elsewhere for our next dishwasher.

I purchased a $1,600 Bosch dishwasher with the hope of owning a top rated and performing dishwasher. Wrong! This dishwasher has been nothing but trouble. At 8 months, it leaked profusely and caused $4,000 in damage to the kitchen in my 2 year old house. I live in Florida and this caused mold, which required remediation and the replacement of a kitchen cabinet. The pain of messing up my beautiful new home in addition to the loss of use of a dishwasher for 4 months. Their insurance company did pay, but my inconvenience and exposure to the mold was not even considered. The next year, the power cord was recalled due to fires. A backorder for the part took one month. Last month, the drain pump failed and another 3 weeks of no dishwasher. All told, this dishwasher has been out of commission for almost 5 months. Bosch’s Reply is, The dishwasher is out of warranty, so take it up with your extended warranty. What about Bosch’s obligation to provide the customer with the goods that they paid for? Did I mention how rude the customer service reps are? Bosch needs to own up to their shortcomings and be fair to the consumer. Lemons happen and they need to correct the situation with a new product. Don’t hold your breath!

Absolutely love this stove. I use the convection more than anything because it seems to cook more quickly and food tastes better on this function. The stove top definitely heats up even on low knobs so be careful! Always start stovetop on lower settings especially if you have expensive pots and pans! When you are cooking in oven, be sure to press Kitchen Timer and not Oven Timer or the oven will automatically turn off after your done cooking which is nice but I always use Kitchen Timer button so that I don’t have to keep reheating the oven if I am cooking more than one dish or if I need to continue to time items on stove top. The depth for dishes is larger than my last stove but not as wide no complaints but just depends on what size pans your using. I love it!

I bought a stackable Bosch 500 series from Home Depot thinking as it states
I bought a stackable Bosch 500 series from Home Depot thinking as it states on Bosch website ‘outstanding service before and after purchase’. 3 months new and I have a leak. Initially it took just over a week to get a service call. Then they cancelled the service call as a stackable unit is a 2 man job and they dont have 2 men in Boston MA? Now a month later they state that instead of servicing my appliance they are offering to buy back my appliance giving me the option to buy something else. I think for a day and after realizing I could buy exact same product from a non Home Depot vendor that services what they sell. Unfortunately Bosch does not have a deal with them so I would have to return my set to Bosch and then buy the same set from the other vendor. Not so exceptional. I decide to suck it up and if they cant or wont service my appliance I have no choice. So now it take 2 weeks for them to process ‘my request for reimbursement’. And they are not sure they will reimburse me for the dryer half of the set? Sorry what! Either service what you sell or take back what you wont. I did not buy half a washer dryer set, I bought a set. This is not some mismatched discount warehouse, this is a $3,000 washer dryer. I will never deal with Bosch again for sure, but if you do, buy from a vendor that can service you. Home Depot cant and Bosch wont so I got shafted from every direction.I am left wondering if they will not service my washer but not reimburse me for the dryer. How long it will take to pick up their faulty equipment if they reimburse me the total cost of purchase, 5 year extended service warranty and sales tax, and how long it will take to mail me a check!!! 2 of the 3 customer service agents were pleasant, 1 was aggressively impolite. Bosch get negative stars and Home Depot that I usually love gets zero as well for not carrying quality appliances that include and I quote again ‘outstanding service before and after the purchase’. Disaster.

I ordered a display circuit board for my Bosch oven. The display magically fixed itself by the time the part arrived, so I called Bosch to a coordinate return. My problem is with Boschs mandatory 25% restocking fee, and with the information I had to provide in order to secure my timely refund. The circuit board, the box in which it arrived in I never opened, cost $106. I paid $26.50 to restock a circuit board thats probably 1/8 thick, and 6 x 3 in size. Theres no effort to put this unused part back on the shelf. But it is what it is, and Bosch makes that clear in their return policy. While exorbitant, it wasnt a surprise. I just thought thered be more flexibility. After all, Im not returning a refrigerator. So as I moved through the return process, I had to provide a model number for the oven. If I didnt, the refunds would be delayed. I asked the representative why that mattered, and that it should have no bearing on my return. They have the part number, so that should be enough. I also commented that theyre charging me 25% to restock, so maybe they should figure that out. Representative was very polite, but said several times that her hands were tied. In the end, I provided much more information than is required to return the part, especially when considering theyre charging $25 to restock a circuit board whose connection to my return will be irrelevant when they sell it again. If Bosch is this complex and penalizing for their returns, I hate to think what happens when I have an actual problem with their products.

I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer. I had purchased this set from Lowe’s as a second set for the upper level of my home so I would not have to walk down to the basement. I have an 8-year-old LG Tromm set down there. This set seemed to have lots of positive reviews, and I got a great deal on the display model, so I thought I got a good deal. White clothes come out grey and dingy even with bleach. All my family’s jeans have permanent crumple creases down the legs from where the dye faded. Bed sheets turn into long twisted ropes, which would work out well if I was trying to make an escape from my prison window. And everything smells moldy. The dryer does not have a heat setting and shuts off before the clothes are dry, leaving the moldy clothes even more time to get even moldier. The steam setting does not steam but rather drips moldy water onto clothes, leaving them with wet spots. Settings are weird: like you have a choice of damp dry, regular dry, extra dry, and my favorite, xxxtraxtra dry? And not one of the settings gets the clothes dry because you have to line dry the clothes to finish the drying once they are done. And the washer is the same; weird settings like comforters, jeans, and babycare, but not white, brights, or colors? Then if you really want to get aggravated, you can select an eco-smart function that uses less water, making the dinginess of the dirty water even more concentrated, and it takes 3 hours for it to cycle. One nice thing is that it is quiet while it runs, but when it’s all done with the load, it will beep loudly all night every 2 minutes, and you can’t shut it off until you get up and open the door, then the light stays on all night. So why this machine won energy saver awards is puzzling. Anyways, after buying every kind of laundry detergent made to man, testing out all the silly stupid settings, replacing filters, hoses, and gaskets, and stacking and unstacking the machines, I have given up and am listing this machine on craigslist for free for whoever wants to ruin their clothes. Oh, my old LG cleans circles around this hunkajunk, plus it is used at least 5 times a day to clean towels from a hair salon. I had to replace a pump that went out on it; LG just charged me shipping and sent me the part free even though it’s out of warranty for 6 yrs. So, my advice to someone who wants to buy this machine? Don’t waste your money when you can come get mine for free!

I have been a longtime owner of Bosch appliances in every home we own with no issues in the past 20 years. I down sized and moved into a new home. I decided to change out the refrigerator first. I love the new refrigerator with French doors and one big drawer below. Upon delivery my appliance was DOA. It tripped the dedicated breaker in the garage. We plugged it into other outlets in the kitchen to check to see if it was the outlet. They took it away, the rep was very arrogant saying that it was a problem with our electric in our new home. The distributor asked if we could have an electrician check out. The electrician said that we would need to something that he can not and would not do for us. We needed to put an old style non-ARC breaker in for that dedicated outlet. The retailer brought it back on Tuesday the following week after my husband installed a Non-ARC required by code breaker. It works. So we needed to break the electrical code to keep this appliance. The electrician said that their refrigerator and DWs have that issue. In the country they are made, they do not replicate the electrical supply with breakers like we have in the US for testing and this problem is known by the reps, distributors, and the company. I would love to see them do something about it. We have an electrical code for a reason. ARCs have been required since about 2013 or so. You would think they would have corrected this by now. All of my other homes were not new- last three so it was not an issue with the breakers. You choose.

When I had to replace the dishwasher that came with my home when I bought it, I wanted an excellent product and was willing to pay for it. I chose a Bosch from a local appliance dealer. While I havent had mechanical issues like many reviewers, the performance of this very expensive dishwasher is dismal. The dishes do not get clean or dry, and there is often a strange biological-type odor after the cycle runs. I will never purchase another Bosch product.

Does a great job. Very pleased from the towels to the farm clothes grease and grime the machine cleans well. We live on a farm and the water use was a big selling point for me, it was great not having the constant worries thru the drought. The shorter cycles on the machine is what I use most, the more grime the more time for washing. I have had big top loader machines all along when our 4 children were growing up but now with mainly 2 to 4 adults and some times the grandbabies its perfect.A friend recommended the brand, I had people say they werent happy with the front loaders. I decided to pay for the expensive machine, but spare parts expensive. We broke the latch on the door and a new one was $400.00.That was a shock. My son made a high frame to it on for ease of access. No bending for me which is great and a must.

This Bosch dishwasher is the best dishwasher with reconfiguring the shelves full in 9 different positions. Can wash silverware upright on the side or place them laying down side by side on the top third shelf. Many options to choose to wash. Cleans perfectly and dries too. Highly recommend all Bosch dishwashers. A little more money but so worth every penny! Satisfied Bosch customer for life!!

Bosch dishwashers are the absolute biggest pieces of junk! I spent over $800.00 on their dishwasher and it has broken down 20 times in 6 months! My cousin was going to purchase 50 dishwashers for a condo unit he is building. Guess what!? He isnt anymore! The stench from the dishes not getting cleaned is disgusting. Never, ever buy Bosch for anything! Their customer service is the WORST!!! The water does not fill leaving the dishwasher to run for over 2 hours never cleaning a single dish. I have had dinner parties and the dishwasher has not worked, (as usual) leaving myself and my guests disgusted at the mess. I will discourage every single person I know to never, ever purchase ANYTHING from this fraud company. Shame on them for making such cheap garbage!

I have owned my Bosch dishwasher for 4 years. The first one I received was replaced and I lived with it. Sometimes I just want to cry at the poor job it does and other times I just wash the dishes by hand. I am not a plumber but I have learned to remove the wands and clean out the openings so the water can pass through. Yesterday I had a dinner for 10 guests and when I took out the fancy glasses they all had to be washed since they were not suitable for company. I am heartbroken about this purchase. Any suggestions?

I have owned and used our Bosch Dishwasher for over twelve years without a single problem. Ive heard complaints about Bosch lack of cleaning. I have never experienced such a problem. Some of the complaints sound as though they have a poor water supply. Maybe a water filter prior to the dishwasher would help. I read complaints regarding drying. l would need to know what is in the dishwasher first. If there is a lot of plastic I would expect less than quality. Bosch dries the dishes with hot water rinse. The latent heat of the dishes and glassware is used to dry. Plastic does not retain much heat thus the lack of drying. It is my opinion that the complaints are misdirected. The poor customer service should be addressed immediately.

I bought a washer/dryer from Teds appliance, both are Bosch. I have had nothing but trouble with them. I believe I narrowed it down to the washer. It decolorizes, tears, and leaves oil marks on the laundry. It moves across the floor and smells like a sewer. Brand new items look 10 years old. Bosch wont do anything since the diagnostic found nothing. They will not compensate in any way, and I am being forced to buy a new washer.

My Dishwasher was purchased April 2011, about 1 1/2 years ago it started to stay on for about 3 mins and then go off, so it didnt turn on the first try, then the issue started to get worse, it is up to 10 tries before it goes on. We are very frustrated, maybe I am naive but I was counting on this dishwasher working for at least 5 years.Model Number SHX68E05UC/25 - Before this dishwasher I owned a lower end Bosch dishwasher, the only reason we changed it was because this one was quieter and had the sanitizing feature. I so regret getting it, this dishwasher was manufactured in Germany, with German Engineering etc, but their warranty sucks, they do not stand behind their product. I guess it is all about the money and all lies behind the product hype. I demand satisfaction, we the consumers should not have to fork out more money to repair a defective product. I checked online and it is supposed to be warrantied for 5 years, yet Bosch service warranty says only the timer part is warrantied for 5 years but not the service to install it. Seriously should I throw my dishwasher out after 2 years and purchase a new one?? I want and demand satisfaction for the product I was sold.

Complaint sent in December 2016. After being on hold for 20 minutes spoke with a unconcerned/unkind Caleb ** head manager (or so I was told) of the appliance department. We have a Bosch dishwasher, where basically the upper and lower racks are disintegrating due to rust. The machine is still fairly new, and is run only with your recommended Finish products. The plastic coating on the racks appear to crack and scale off, exposing rusted/rotten metal underneath, something that does not appear to reflect the product quality one would expect from Bosch. It is frankly surprising as we thought we had purchased a quality German appliance like the many other Miele products we have in the house. The damage is on both upper and lower racks, so if I were to guess, I would attribute this to a poor/wrong coating on the steel racks. The damage is not caused by chips caused by loading/un-loading the machine. Boschs reply.. We will give you 20% off new racks as customer goodwill. When carefully ordering a product with a reputation for quality I would have expected them to have more concern when their appliances fail. Super disappointed and will not be buying or recommending another Bosch appliance in the future.

Our Bosch dishwasher is only 5 years old. It was working great until the other night. We put it on just before going to bed. When we got up in the morning, there was a terrible burnt electrical smell in the house. The outside of the dishwasher was black around the control panel and the inside was fried. Looks like we had a small electrical fire. The breaker wasnt tripped. It has scared the absolute ** out of me. Has anyone else had this problem? We never overload our dishwasher and clean the filters regularly. Our house could have caught on fire while we slept. Im wondering if anyone else has had something like this happen to them? I would like to report this incident to Bosch, not because I am looking for payment, but to try to prevent this or something much worse happening to anyone else.

Bosch does not stand behind their products. Several of their dishwashers are being recalled for a bad control panel. It can go bad and catch on fire. My dishwasher was not in the recall. However, the part went bad. It had a burnt control panel. I contacted Bosch. Sent them pictures of the control panel, the burnt portion, etc. FIVE DAYS LATER Bosch e-mails me back. Apologizes for the delay, of course. Say they are sending a repair fella out to my house. FIVE DAYS AFTER they get my e-mail, they tell me this!!! I am a female who HATES to wash dishes! How long did Bosch think I would wait till I went and purchased another dishwasher or fixed the current one?Frankly I believe that was the whole point of WAITING FIVE DAYS BEFORE E-MAILING ME! Bosch says that since the repair was performed before their authorized service guy came to look at it, they would not pay for the part! I believe that was Boschs whole point!!! I will never purchase another Bosch product. Bosch is a dirty company that does their utmost to prevent having to fix their problems!

I have all 800 series appliances from Bosch that are all just 4 years old. Refrigerator is noisy, plastic shelves are cheap and break easily, and shelf spacing is limited - its hard to fit a gallon of milk in. Dishwasher: was very quiet and now sounds like there is a heavy storm in the kitchen when it is running. Plus the racks are weird and dont hold dishes well. You end up washing half loads all the time because otherwise plates touch each other in the rack. Double ovens: my wife sloshed some chicken drippings on the glass door when unloading it and the grease got between the glass panels. I called Bosch about the oven door issue and my warranty was up by sixty days and they refused to fix this under warranty. I have never had problems with appliances before (GE Hotpoint; Kenmore). I paid top buck for an All Bosch kitchen. Its all junk.

We moved into a new house with new bosch appliances: fridge, stovetop, speed oven and oven. After only TWO years of use, the speed oven digital display is dimming and will need to be replaced with a part for $150, plus labor. When I contacted Bosch, they would not replace the part. The words on the stovetop are already peeling off (Front, Back, etc.) and the buttons on the icemaker are finicky and need to be caressed to work. The dishwasher doesnt clean any better than our old appliances, the stovetop takes forever to boil and the stainless steel finishes are so hard to get clean. I cant make applesauce on the stovetop because the lowest possible setting is too high and burns it (this may be a reflection on using gas instead of electric, weve never had gas before.) I will never intentionally buy Bosch appliances ever again! Our old cheaper appliances were much more reliable. Not worth the cost!

We purchased our Bosch Dual Fuel Range about 8 years ago. We had problems with the gas igniters that was not fixed properly by the authorized service. I eventually fixed it. Recently, the stove started burning the food. The service identified the problem as a failed relay board. Bosch shipped the wrong part, so we had to wait about a month for the correct shipment and repair. On a supposedly high quality item there should not be failures like this. If there are, they should not cost an arm and a leg. The most recent repair costing close to $500.

I purchased an Energy Star Bosch dishwasher about two years ago. It runs quietly but my main complaint is that even when I use the power wash cycle (which I always use now), the dishes just dont come out clean. I need to practically wash them before I load them in. And then after the cycle is finished, the glasses on the top rack always have food remnants on and in them. Also, the dishes sometimes are still dirty in places. I think that being an Energy Star appliance, quality and efficiency have been compromised for the sake of conserving water and electricity. In addition it probably costs me more money to pre-wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher! I also find that the silverware rack is in the wrong place. The silverware catches on the side making the rack stick when you pull it out. It also is on the other side of the dishwasher when loading. I owned a Maytag dishwasher for 12 years and loved it; I never even called a repairman. I will not buy another Bosch!

My Bosch Front load Axxis was delivered with a broken drum, there was no evidence of shipping damage. Upon starting the first load water leaked onto the floor and damaged a new floor. The drum was replaced by a Bosch authorized repairman. After attempting to start for the second time, the front panel showed an error code that indicated a faulty control panel. At this point I had the machine for 1.5 months and have never done even one load. I asked Bosch for a replacement and I have a case file, but the service center keeps losing information or telling me that I need to provide more info. I purchased a Bosch Dishwasher (i.e. total cost $$857.98) which was installed in Dec 2017. About 3 weeks ago I was receiving error messages as well as the machine skipping cycles and stopped. Given that one of the error messages was E24 the Bosch authorized repairer wanted to order a pump for the machine to save me from minimizing the number of trips he would need to be made. May I add the service charge would have been $180, labor and parts extra given that the pump was outside of the warranty. After ordering the pump, I receive a message that the pump is in. But of course it was the wrong pump. I will not bore you with the details of the story but after a lengthy conversation, I told this company to NOT come at all and will find another Bosch authorized dealer. Well, I did, he promised to come, waited for him and he never showed up, did not call even though I left several voice mails, etc. Bosch kept saying we need a diagnosis but it sure is difficult if there own people do not show up as promised or have excuses about the wrong pump being ordered, etc.I provided all the detailed information that Bosch wanted. This evening I received an email from them telling me a decision had been. I doubt if this case was escalated to management as I requested. I called Bosch (25 minute wait) to find out what the decision would be given that they emailed me and said decisions cannot be provided by email or voicemail. The Bosch rep said they were going to do a big favor and as a 1-time courtesy provide the parts but I still would be responsible for the service call and labor. BTW, the issue in all likelihood is a control panel which has a 5-year warranty. Or in other words they did nothing except to ensure that I will never purchase a Bosch appliance again. If there would have been a pump issue the retail price is $30.05. Such an offer from Bosch. Bosch service providers are few and far between. And from my experience they are totally incompetent. Bosch sold me a lemon of a dishwasher and has failed to provide any type of concern for their customer.

I dont recommend the Bosch stackable dryer. Drying sheets is a pain since the dryer rolls them up in a ball; if you dont shake them out every few minutes, the inside stays damp. The sensor doesnt work, so you have to keep adding time to the dryer. And things take much longer to dry than they should. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in January of 2014. Three months later my stainless steel silverware began to rust and glasses became cloudy. I read the manual and made some adjustment to the Jet Dry dispenser, but it made no difference. Lowes sent out two different repairmen and they could find nothing wrong. I showed them the silverware and glasses and they called Bosch. Bosch made recommendations that did not work.I contacted Bosch and they told me in order to return the dishwasher I needed the original receipt. I couldnt find it and Lowes eventually found it in their records and sent it on to Bosch. It took about 6 months working with Bosch to get to this point. It also involved several store managers. Once all the paperwork had been turned in I heard nothing from Bosch. Several weeks passed and I finally called. They told me the dishwasher would not be replaced. Instead, Lowes replaced the dishwasher. Thank you Lowes!I found the company EXTREMELY difficult to work with. I think they knew from the beginning they were not going to replace the dishwasher, but they had Lowes and me jump all kinds of hoops anyhow. I do not recommend purchasing a Bosch dishwasher. The only thing I could figure out was that something had been left inside the dishwasher causing the problem. Bosch denied this and said it couldnt happen. I replaced the Bosch with a KitchenAid. It works great and is made in America.

We just turned away our second delivery of a Lowes special order 300 series Bosch dishwasher due to damage. Really... is it too much to ask for an indented face on your $700.00 dishwasher these days? Yes, it is being shipped to Hawaii to the tune of a 6-8 week delivery time and many people have handled it in the transportation process, but I believe much has to do with how Bosch is packaging the item with only thick cardboard frame pieces on the 4 ends, styrofoam corners on the top and thick plastic wrap holding it all together. There is no protection to the face or sides. For an international company, you would think they would be more conscientious about how they protect their product before it gets to the end user. Will have to think seriously before I order a third one!
