I have been the owner of Kenmore dishwashers since 1978. Today I had to have one service for technical issues the door latch for the first time ever. It was purchased in July 2015, not two years old. It is a Bosch by Kenmore, the door latch keeps popping during the wash cycle, and you have to keep closing it. Very irritating. Of course there is only a one year warranty on it, and they refuse to cover expenses. I called Bosch and they really dont care. Poor attitude. Don’t buy Bosch products. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME FOR ME. WE LEARN BY OUR MISTAKES. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

In late 2015, we bought a refrigerator (33 in. W 24.8 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel with Icemaker) and a microwave/oven combo (stainless steel 30 Inch Wide 4.6 Cu. Ft. Electric Built-In Combination Oven with 1.6 Cu. Ft. Microwave and True European Convection Lower Oven). We chose the Bosch brand based on reputation, longevity, performance, and design.Unfortunately, neither of these products has performed well considering they are both 3 years old. The refrigerator completely stopped working and had a large build up of frost on the back wall of the freezer wall. A service technician with Hagedorn’s Appliances fixed this problem by calling a Bosch technician to learn the control panel and plugs stopped working. The technician commented that this is a rare issue and was surprised the appliance was a Bosch due to the reputation. We were charged $688.79 to fix this issue. The microwave control panel is dim and we are unable to see what buttons we are pushing. The technician from Hagedorn’s said this is a realistic issue and fixable problem to the tune of $350.00. We have not scheduled this repair at this time. The third item we bought from Bosch were $775 dishwashers. We bought 2 of these. To say we love the dishwasher better than the microwave and refrigerator would be true; however we must stop short of saying these items are ‘exceptional’ in any way. The doors seemed ‘warped’ and don’t shut well all the time. The washing capabilities are fair (sometimes leaves marks) and the time to complete is crazy long 2.5 hours, even close to that on ‘speed’ mode. However the washing quality is worse. We will give it credit for being quiet, that it is, well done there. We really have just had a hard time and these products are not the ‘show pieces’ we had thought we bought just 3 short years ago. It will be hard for us to consider Bosch for the price and performance.

We had a new kitchen last March and decided after much research we would buy Bosch appliances, supposedly they are very reliable. Unfortunately we found them not to be! We purchased 6 appliances at a cost of around 5k. After 1 week the extractor decided to not work. I informed Bosch and they came out and repaired it although it took 2 visits, though I must say it is not easy getting them out when it suits and I ended up taking a day off work. Whilst he was there on his 2 visit I reported the fridge/freezer was not getting cold. The engineer advised switching it off and then switching it back on at the lowest level to see if that sorted it, it didnt. Another call to Bosch and another visit from an engineer. He advised that the fridge/freezer needed re-gassing. I advised him it was a brand new fridge only a month old and I wasnt prepared to accept a repair and insisted on a new one. Bosch agreed and duly delivered a new one, this meant getting my kitchen fitter back in as it was integrated, again more time off.Now 9 months in and the main oven has a problem, after putting it on the self-clean setting when it had finished we opened the door and the glass cover clip had broken. Again another call to Bosch and another day off to accommodate the arrival of the engineer. I must say I am very disappointed in first the products and secondly Boschs customer service. They are very slow in coming back to you and not very cooperative either. They have agreed to cover all the appliances for an extra year on top of their 2 year guarantee but it is the inconvenience of it that really annoys me. Lets hope the remaining 50% of the appliances stand the test of time! Great appliances though when working!

After 40 years, it was finally time to purchase a brand new washer/dryer set. Since I had lived in Europe, I had a high opinion of Bosch appliances and choose Bosch as my brand (Model #WFMC5301UC 16-496151) for both the washer and dryer. It was a huge mistake. Two years after purchase, I had to replace the entire front door, which wouldnt close properly. Now, the same door has a crack at the base (even though I gently lift and close the door from the base for each use) and the water slowly trickles down to the floor. The same is true of the dryer door -- two cracks across the top of the plastic. I called Bosch and the replacement cost would be half again as much as new appliances, which, of course, will be worthless. I was told that 5-10 years is all the one can get out of a top-quality appliance. I will NEVER purchase a Bosch product again. What pieces of junk!

Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 20
Installed new factory fresh Bosch dishwasher for my mother on August 17, 2016. 20 minutes into initial clean cycle E:15 code appears on display with drain pump running continuously. Called Bosch customer service and was told this indicates an internal water leak. Bosch provided 3 phone numbers for local service technicians and told me I would need to schedule a repair appointment because Bosch customer service was too busy taking other calls. Earliest appointment was 1 week out. Bosch factory certified technician confirmed internal water leak and after 1 hour of troubleshooting determined the distribution/circulation pump seal needs to be replaced. The new part (which retails for less than $2.00) will take 3-5 business days to arrive and then a follow-up appointment can be scheduled to install the new part.Based on the other reviews Ive read, I am skeptical that this will solve the problem. The other observation during the initial clean cycle was that while the unit was draining, a large amount of black debris seemed to be discharging through the drain hose. I am wondering if this is the mold problem Ive read in some of the other complaints/reviews. The drain hose is almost clear so it was easy to see the darker looking debris. After a couple of drain cycles, the discharge water was free of black debris. I understand the units are tested in the factory before being packed up for shipment so a small amount of water in the bottom of the pump is normal but why the mold? When I mentioned this to the Bosch customer service representative I was told that they had never heard of such a thing before (really?!).Why didnt the factory test detect the leak problem? If it did, was a decision made to go ahead and ship a defective unit out anyway? I have an older Bosch dishwasher (purchased in 2008) that never had problems like this. My mother always comments on how quiet it runs when she visits. It would appear Bosch has significant quality control issues on the assembly line and perhaps throughout the entire enterprise that need to be addressed. Customer service is basically constrained to follow a script that seems to weigh heavily in favor of the corporations bottom line and not the end user. I will be loath to recommend Bosch products to anyone until these systemic problems are rectified. This could be the undoing of what was once revered as a solid company as consumers find better products from other vendors. It looks like my mother just wasted $700 on a flawed product and instead has bought into the additional frustration of chasing warranty claims. I should mention that I own a now discontinued front loading Bosch clothes washing machine that recently was involved in a class action settlement (you might have guessed, for mold problems) for which I received a check in the amount of $55. That amount does not cover the cost of a new front door seal that breeds black mold every 12 months or so requiring replacement. I am on my 3rd door seal in 3 years of use. The first replacement was under warranty. The second replacement was at my expense (~$85 plus shipping plus an hour of my time to install it!).

Bosch washing machine. Plenty of washing programmes. Good value for money. Quick wash is excellent. I have had the machine over ten years and would buy the same make again. Energy efficiency, brand reputation and price. Dryer would be a different purchase. I would look around and see the best one on the market so do not dry as well as others. A product that does not start to rust within the first twelve months, and no paint chipping and find out cost of spares. Some makes are expensive to repair. Very pleased with Bosch washing machine. I always get a clean wash. The one thing that does annoy me is the powder tray. This gets so black and over the years I have found weak bleach solution will clean the tray (when removed), but even this fails to stop the holes above the dispenser, becoming blocked with the black slime (caused by washing powder and plastic). I have had the unit replaced twice. I would like all manufacturers to try and resolve this problem. Rather expensive over ten years, but so far no other problems.

New home purchase with Bosch dishwasher and I have always heard good things about them....Wrong! The rack does not connect to the door and falls out all the time...breaking dishes! I cant believe Bosch would allow this, as it is a major problem! I get angry every time I load and unload the darn thing and would never purchase another no matter how well it would clean! It does a decent job cleaning but if the dishes break, whats the point?

I purchased a Bosch gas stove and dishwasher 18 months ago as part of a home remodeling project. Within weeks of installation the symbols on the stove knobs indicating what burner they corresponded to had virtually worn away. I had the plate replaced and within a few months they had worn away again. I have used no cleaning product on the stove other than stainless steel cleaner - now I just live with the fact that people have to figure out what burner theyre turning on by trial and error. Within months the electrical components of the oven also began to malfunction. The oven would preheat but if it were left on for a while (while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, for instance - yes, that happened) the oven would spontaneously go dead - the digital display as well as the heating element. Switching off the circuit breaker and turning it back on again did nothing. I had the circuit board replaced (it was still under warranty) and a few weeks later the same thing happened (again, during a party when I was doing a lot of cooking). Long story short, it took 6 months and several service calls to resolve the problem. Now the oven works but the clock loses hours almost daily - I have to constantly re-set it. (Again, I just live with this - apparently having a stove clock that works is too much to ask.) The dishwasher has been just as bad. A wine glass apparently broke during a washing cycle and a 1 shard of glass got through the filter and into the pump. (Like this has never happened before in anyones kitchen? The filter system underneath the dish rack should be designed to prevent hard objects like a piece of glass from getting into the pump.) The dishwasher is 18 months old. I just spent $250 dollars for a new pump. I will never, ever buy a Bosch appliance again. I had a Frigidaire dishwasher in my old house and never had a service call in 10 years. For supposedly higher-end appliances, Boschs engineering and attention to detail is absolutely pathetic. I would give them a 0 for reliability. The local appliance outlet I bought these from has been extremely prompt about coming to my home for service calls, and very apologetic about my complaints. I dont blame them - I place the blame entirely on the poor quality of the appliances themselves.

We purchased a new dishwasher two months ago. The handle cracked in all three spots where the handle is screwed in. I called Bosch and within four days the repair tech showed up with a whole new door front. I thought it would just be an easy unscrew the handle and screw a new one in. He replaced the door front and pushed start and the dishwasher no longer works. He thinks he ruined the circuit board. He said he would replace the circuit board but he wasnt even sure if that was the issue. The part never arrived and I contacted Bosch. They said they would exchange the dishwasher for a new one, but I am still waiting. It has been 6 weeks and I have not had a working dishwasher in my home. Thanksgiving weekend was last weekend and I had a house full of company for the entire weekend and no dishwasher. Two months old and here I am with no dishwasher. I purchased Bosch because I thought they were supposed to be the best, but this has just become ridiculous.

When we moved into a new house in 2009, we bought and installed a Bosch SHE45M05UC/50 dishwasher. It worked fine until about 2012. At that point cups on the top started coming out of the machine with white grit on the inside/outside. The same crud collected in the slides of both racks, along the seal of the door, and on the door where the plastic plate is on the top rack as well as other places. Now dishes on the bottom sometimes also have this gritty crud on them when we pull them out. We have a water softener so it isnt hard water, and the filters have been repeatedly scrubbed and rinsed. I always check to make sure the spray arms are able to rotate freely before I shut the door and turn it on. Ive had a trusted repairman out here twice and he cant figure it out. I read other posts about the circulation pump possibly being an issue but havent had it replaced. Im wondering if others have and if so, did it help? I certainly wouldnt buy another Bosh appliance. Our old GE dishwasher lasted 10 years and cleaned fine even if it was quite noisy.

My father purchased a Bosch tankless water heater about 18 months ago. He had a professional plumber install the tank to the specifications that the factory mandates. The unit never did work properly. After hours on the phone with tech support listening to every reason in the book why it wasn't "their" fault , and hundreds if not thousands of dollars spent on a plumber they still will not honor their warranty and replace the unit. The problem with the unit is that whenever you turn on the cold water to make the water warm instead of scalding, the heater shuts off completely leaving you with ice cold water. The factory techs tell us that there is not enough water coming into the unit. Ok easy fix right "just tell us how much water is required". O wait the "tech" isn't allowed to suggest anything like that. My father is so frustrated he wants to take the unit outside and shoot it with a rifle. If there is a class action we want in!!!!!! I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in April 2012 and have had nothing but trouble with it, even having the repairman out. Thank heavens I purchased the extended warranty. It doesnt dry at all. When the repairman came, he said that I had to open the door to let out the steam so that it would dry. What? You want me to get up in the middle of the night to open the door? I use the dishwasher soap that was supplied with the washer, so thats not it. It has the rinse agent in. I have to wash my silverware by hand as I would never let anyone eat off them like they are when I take them out of the washer. They are good stainless steel. When you pull out the bottom rack, it falls off the track. Silverware container takes up too much space. My other one was in the door, it was a less expensive washer and I had it for 13 years and was still working, but I thought that I would get new appliances. Well good thing that I didnt buy all Bosch. I am not going to recommend this washer to anyone. I am very disappointed with this product.

Bosch front load washer - Bought Bosch because of the name brand and believed it to be reputable company. First issue was that the front panel door started to rust just under the soap dispenser. Had it replaced and within a month the new panel did the same thing in the same place. The repair person said it was because we use bleach and it was the cause. If you are not to use bleach, then why is there a bleach dispenser. I cant get the company to recall the product or determine the real problem. My husband feels that it is in the preparation process when making the door (no coating or priming of the steel or metals). This is a Huge disappointment. I plan on reporting this to the attorney general because of the cost to consumers.

I got this washer as an open-box deal at a killer price. Note that it requires 240V, so unless you buy the matching dryer, you need to either have an electrician run a 240V outlet to your laundry room or convert your existing 120V outlet to a 240V, which is only possible if it's a dedicated only outlet on the circuit. If it is though, and you feel confident enough to do some basic electric work in the breaker box, the cost for this is $5 for the outlet and face plate and $10 for the double pole breaker and it takes less than 30 minutes (see picture). This washer is extremely quiet, both during wash cycles and when spinning. Compared to the Samsung HE front loader that it replaced, it is much quicker and the clothes come out MUCH MUCH cleaner, especially whites, and without using any bleach or Borax. It also has a higher spin speed than the Samsung, which means the clothes come out dryer and you're saving time and money on drying. Overall, I cannot believe that I put up with the Samsung for as long as I did.

In the last few months I bought a trimmer from Amazon and was delighted with the product, however recently the battery started to spark and the trimmer now doesn’t work. I called up the service centre 2 days ago, I spoke to the most delightful lady who was really helpful and explained to me what the process was to get the trimmer fixed. Explained that I would need to print off a courier label that will need to be taped to a box that will hold trimmer because the a third party courier will be picking it up. I explained I don’t have a printer at home and live a in a small remote village and will not be sure when I can get to a printer. She said that it’s fine and that she will send me a pre print receipt and I can print that and then call her back to sort out a delivery.I didn’t receive the email with the label so I decided to call back today to try and get it sent back to me. I dial the number and give my reference number and let the man know I’m waiting for an email. To my surprise the man on the phone was rude and unprofessional, belittling me by saying that is not the process and that I need to arrange it and then get the email to me once it’s been processed.I try to explain the situation with the printer to get the label. He said, No need for a label but you need proof of purchase in the box. I said well printing is not really an option for me because of my situation to which he gave me ‘tough luck’ attitude. Then went on to say, Well do you want to arrange it or not? I replied to enquiry can I arrange it for a future date, which he said, No. We only do it 24 hours in advance, then he was of no help and pressured me to answer like I didn’t have time to even think about whether this is an option for me. And then he went on to say, The previous person you spoke to told you the wrong information. I’ll look up who it is and have them retrained. Disgusting attitude bad mouthing your own colleagues like that. This has been one of my worst experiences with customer services given my initial interaction was one of the most pleasantest conversations. Poor customer service and I’ll be glad this is the last time I buy from you again.

Our Bosch 800 gas slide-in range was purchased in late 2019, installed in February 2020 and the igniter failed in October 2021. One would hope that a new $2200 range would last longer than a year and a half before failing. We would have had to wait 30 days for service at hundreds of dollars cost, so I bought a new igniter and installed it so that we would have a working oven. Bosch was unwilling to reimburse us for the $105 igniter. I dont recommend Bosch.

If there was a way I could leave less than 1 star I would! We bought top of the Bosch range series 8 appliances and within 1 month of installation have had 3 technicians out to our house. You call the customer service team and ALWAYS get transferred to the UK as they are too busy to take the call. No one ever calls you back. The service I received at the retail end was amazing. The product experience Ive had has been literally the worst of my life. Our flexi - induction cook top ALWAYS turns off during cooking. The new pots they promised me to resolve the issue never arrived. On the odd occasion someones returned my call they havent done what they said they would. I had one great Bosch customer service person, however she has now resigned! I can only assume from the poor rating Bosch have that they genuinely dont care about creating positive customer experiences. If only Id read the reviews prior to buying a kitchen full of their products. So as I type this review my appliance still doesnt work. Perhaps Consumer Affairs can assist!

This is a great dishwasher. Cleans dishes etc very well. One of the things I really like about this dishwasher is that it has a pan beneath it and if the washer leaks the dish catches it and has a sensor/valve that will shut the machine off. I had another model and it leaked and I had to repair the ceiling in my basement. Very well made and designed.

Unfortunately the oven does not work unless the clock is set. The service man has been here twice already and will not come again for less than 100.00. I have been cooking for 56 years and have never had a problem with an oven not working because the clock isnt set. Buyer beware. This oven is way too complicated. As of now I am waiting for a new service man. Incidentally, the instructions stink as are their videos. I bought six bosch appliances and am even so sorry.

We purchased this due to the ratings. We thought we could install ourselves. We had to call a plumber due to the channels under the machine. I’m not happy, it was a hassle. Next, I noticed I had to rewash many of the dishes. There are always food particles on most of the dishes. We had the machine for 9 months and the part on the front of the machine leaked and ruined my hardwood floors and damaged my family room ceiling. This machine cost a fortune, plus we had to pay a plumber to install it, and now we are dealing with water damage. The machine is not worth the hassle or the money. It’s a bad machine, dont buy it.

I purchased a Bosch washer, Model WFMC22OAUC in Feb. 2008 along with the dryer and petal stools. I did my homework and found this brand to be the most recommended by pretty much everyone, retailers and repairmen. The washer has now been repaired three times. The mold sticks to high heaven and, being farmers, I can honestly say one gallon of water doesnt bring out **. My whites are now gray. I was told I could wash three loads at once. I should have been told to wash one piece of clothing per load. I doubt that that one piece would be cleaned.

These Bosch Appliances are a piece of garbage. I purchased a washer and dryer for a heck of a lot of money because I believed too much and now they are garbage! They dont drain well, our clothes smell, and they ball your wash. My washer is ready to walk away by itself when it spins. If I could, I would burn them. Who ever heard of taking an hour to do a load of wash and you cant adjust the settings? I have heard from a lot of people that have seen my washer and dryer how nice it looks until I tell them what they are like. I let anyone who asks if I like them and I say no. I dont recommend these appliances to anyone even if they are looking at them in the stores. Now, when I look at all the comments of all your appliances, your company is no good. The part I replaced which was shipped from the Bosch company was deemed faulty by the technician that came to re-replace the part. I have had several parts fail on this machine. We purchased a Bosch washer and dryer just a little over a year ago. The control unit went out on the dryer. I got the run around from customer service (warranty coverage) and finally they gave us contacts for service. The first individual failed to show up or call. So we had to call back to get some other service representatives names. The next service representative was helpful (was finally able to get clothes out of the dryer) following his direction. However, he was not able to come out for service until the following week. I called back the customer service number again and the individual was willing to order the control unit but the computer system was down and I would have to call back on Monday. When I called back, the service representative refused to order the part. After frustration, I ordered the part myself and fixed the dryer myself. Boschs warranty is not worth anything and I will not purchase another one of their appliances.

2015 Bosch 800 Series Refrigerator B22CT80SNS. We purchased the Bosch 800 Series 36 counter depth refrigerator in August of 2015. The ice maker failed after 18 months and we paid to replace it. On or about April 21, 2019 the gas lines went (while we were away on vacation). They are located in the walls of the unit and warranted for an impressive two years. We have had a repairman out who told us that they, in fact, cannot be repaired. Therefore, our less than four year old $3145.98 refrigerator needs to be thrown out! We contact Bosch service who is willing to replace the unit for $900 plus tax after an extensive debate. They have generously agreed to have the new unit delivered and left in our driveway. There will be no install or haul away. We must do this ourselves. Therefore we are expected to carry the old unit down 15 stairs, the new unit up 15 stairs, or pay someone to do this. There will be no compensation for the $400 of meat and groceries that we lost while away on vacation. We are being prorated on a 10 year life expectancy for an expensive, high end, appliance at the retail rate. My research shows that 14 years is average lifespan of a refrigerator. I fondly remember my 30 year old Hotpoint refrigerator growing up. I dont think anyone would have treated a consumer this way years ago. I hope that after this is submitted, we are offered a fair replacement deal. I would love to be able to write that we had a positive outcome after all. It doesnt look promising.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher and about a year later, a Bosch washer and dryer. After 4 years with the dishwasher, the water no longer was hot. We telephoned the company we purchased it from and they referred us to a repairman. Bosch only certifies certain companies to do their repairs. Unfortunately, this company wasnt really easy to work with. They did eventually come out to the house. After a prolonged conversation with a Bosch representative, it was determined the internal water heater was bad. The part was ordered. It took three months for the part to come in and eventually get replaced. When the part was put in by the same company and the machine turned on, the board indicated it would take 367 minutes to wash an empty load of dishes. The representative left and indicated the machine would have to be reset. Well the next day, I phoned them back. The machine ran the 367 minutes but no hot water. They sent a different repairman and Bosch wasnt willing to accept they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. They did eventually replace the motherboard and the machine is currently working. The washing machine, after 3 years of use and with only 2 people in the family, started rocking and my husband saw sparks on the inside of the wash tub. We were told it could not be repaired. We couldnt dump it fast enough. Dryer still worked but it took over an hour to dry a regular load of clothes. The machine didnt clean well and the dryer often left clothes damp even though the moisture sensor had been checked twice. Bosch is highly overrated and they must pay their vocal advocates a lot of money. We wont even consider a Bosch in the future.

After only TWO years of use, the speed oven digital display is dimming and will need to be replaced with a part for $150, plus labor. When I contacted Bosch, they would not replace the part. The words on the stovetop are already peeling off (Front, Back, etc.) and the buttons on the icemaker are finicky and need to be caressed to work. The dishwasher doesnt clean any better than our old appliances, the stovetop takes forever to boil and the stainless steel finishes are so hard to get clean. I cant make applesauce on the stovetop because the lowest possible setting is too high and burns it (this may be a reflection on using gas instead of electric, weve never had gas before.) Purchased a new Bosch French door refrigerator. Two weeks later the ice maker stopped working. Called for service. Noticed the vegetable and deli drawers had frozen everything solid. Noticed all the food in the rear of the device was partly frozen. Rep came out and announced the ice maker was defective, needed to be replaced. Ordered new one. He also explained that the ice maker regulates the temp for the refrigerator. Replaced the ice maker. The ice maker constantly drips all over the refrigerator. The water and ice dispensers do not work well. Ice either comes out at a breakneck speed or not at all. Water sprays out all over the place. Very poor engineering.I still have occasional freezing in the veg drawers. Spoke to the Bosh consumer agent, she was arrogant, rude and generally unhelpful. Suggested to me I not put vegetables in the veg drawers, as they tend to freeze! I asked her if she was planning to send another device out for purpose of cooling the verges. She became even nastier. My opinion, run in another direction if you see Bosch while shopping for appliances. Also, my daughter apparently bought a Bosch side by side and hates it. Rues the day. I had some issues with the fridge, it wouldn’t cool and also the water dispenser stopped working. The technician came on a number of occasions to figure out what the issue was, of course all at a cost to me. He thought he figured out why it wasn’t cooling and replaced the fan. He told me to purchase a triple valve from Bosch and that should fix my water dispensing issue. So I ordered online straight away. After a few days the item arrived, but I had also noticed that the internal temp inside the fridge didn’t go below 20 degrees Celsius. I decided enough was enough, spent so much on this technician and yet nothing, so I went out and purchased a new fridge. I contacted Bosch and explained the situation, and seek a refund on this triple Valve, technician labor cost as well as the cost for the new fan he had installed because the fridge clearly isn’t going to work. Till now it is still under review. As for the triple valve I sent it back to Bosch at their request (after again explaining to sales why I no longer want the item) at my own expense and yet they still charged me a ‘restocking fee’. I told them I only purchased it at the advice of the technician but because he couldn’t resolve my main issue, I didn’t need it anymore. They wouldn’t budge. I will recommend anyone that is thinking about purchasing a Bosch appliance to reconsider. Their customer service is awful and their technicians don’t seem to know the product too well either.

We called the warranty support line and was given several repair shops to call. Some would not serve our area as we are out of the city. The third one on their list came out in April and verified that the unit was not working and needed two new parts. Upon returning to the shop, he confirmed that they would have to be ordered. Four weeks later, after hearing nothing, we called to find that the parts were not yet in. Less than a week later, now late in May, they arrived. They were installed and the unit worked on June 9th. We called to see about a warranty extension so that it would start in June rather than February. But they categorically refused. I had a Bosch Dishwasher go out on us while still under warranty. This happened in March, it is now mid September. In order to have warranty work done, you have to go through one of Boschs certified repair facilities. A gomer from the worst appliance service firm in town came out 3 times at over $75.00 a crack. They ordered parts, which Bosch was out of. Our problem was so rare according to the wonderfully inept anti-customer service rep that I spoke to, that actually drew out a long sigh on the phone like I was interrupting a wonderful game of spider solitaire. Fast forward, 3 more service calls and we still have a wonderfully designed German paperweight. Gomer Senior from the Authorized Service Company let us slide on the last service call because he flooded my basement. Yes, a dishwasher repairman forgot about the water that could be in a dishwasher. I called Bosch and said no more, enough, just stop. I sent them 8 pages of documentation with the time line of our torture and heard nothing from them. Fast forward, several e-mails and placed calls to Pam, the Manager. I am starting to think that Pam is paid a piece rate by LG or Whirlpool to see how many customers she can send away from Bosch. Pam never returned my e-mails, or phone calls. Mind you, in her defense the one area she has trained her wonderful, rude, and inept staff in is to avoid forwarding anything to her. Then, just the guy making $8.00 per hour can get blamed. I was just told today that 3 weeks ago, she denied that Bosch was responsible for anything. Is this for real? are you sure you want to take that road Pam?

Now they tell me I will have to wait another 7-14 days to find out what model the exchange is approved for and when that may take place. Customer service reps are rude and do not provide their name. This was a $884 custom front unit and they are not even telling me I can get the same unit. The customer service at Bosch is terrible!!

We purchased a Bosch Dishwasher on 4-27-2014 from Sears; at which time Bosch had a rebate (Offer # 781-34) of $150.00 Install Reward. We sent the rebate in on the following day. It said that we would received rebate within 8 to 10 weeks. We waited until about 7 weeks and then called the 800# on the form to check on the status of the rebate and were told that they didnt have any record of it yet and should call back in 2 weeks. Called back 2 weeks later and talked to a man that said for some odd reason it must have been lost. We asked him if that meant that we lost out on our $150.00 rebate and he said, No, just resend it, but that we would just have to wait another 8 to 10 weeks. Now we received a postcard stating that the request was not postmarked within the time frame stated on the rebate form. We called the rebate center and explained the situation and they said that the 2 times that we called there were never reported so they were sorry but we lost our rebate. This we feel is totally not our fault. We sent the rebate on time. They should have created an account on us the first time we called. The rebate offer is what made us buy the Bosch in the first place. It was to pay for the installation fee. We talked to a supervisor at the rebate center and she told us that the man that told us to resend the papers to them should have given us a different address to send them to. I asked her for that different address and that I would resend them for the 3rd time and she said that it was too late now because the rebate was over. This is really ridiculous. We have searched on line and found that we are not the only ones this has happened to. What is actually happening with these rebates that people like us are suppose to be getting but arent? We are very disgusted in this whole situation and in the way the rebate center for Bosch is run. They need to train the people hired there to do their jobs. We are not upset with the actual people that are answering the phone but the ones that are higher up doing the hiring and training. Went higher up and talked to a person from Bosch and they said that the rebates are all handled by the rebate center and that this was out of their hands.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago because we wanted a quiet dishwasher. Bosch delivered on the quiet but not on the dishwasher part. We have a quiet machine that gets our dishes wet but does a very poor job of removing food residue. We basically have to prewash the dishes before putting them into the Bosch.

I purchased this Bosch dishwasher and had it installed by a licensed contractor in Sept 2015. I immediately noticed that the dishes were not clean and neither is the silverware. If you use the most powerful setting, sometimes they get clean IF I prewash everything. I find it ironic that this dishwasher is so quiet because it isnt doing the job. I would never purchase another machine from Bosch. I will go back to Whirlpool which cleaned large loads with no problems. The configuration of the racks is horrible. Cannot fit very many things in this dishwasher. I hate this dishwasher and it wasnt cheap.

We filled our home with Bosch appliances as part of upgrade to a new home we purchase 13 years ago. First the washer smells really bad if we leave the door closed, then the dryer on/off switch is a hit or miss as it doesnt trigger it. Weve had to replace one microwave 3 years ago then the new microwave that we paid over $500, its plate broke. Can you believe the Heat plate broke in three pieces while heating up a glass of water?! We contacted Bosch who said since the microwave passed the warranty period of one year they would give a 50% discount on a new plate which still ended up costing $85.43. I would not recommend Bosch.

We purchased what we believed to be a high-end Bosch dishwasher (Model Number SHX43 CO5UC). Were a family of 2 and use the dishwasher about every other day. After about 2 years, the pump/motor went out and the cost of repair is approaching $500 plus labor. Bosch, when contacted by phone, said it is out of warranty and we were on our own. One would reasonably expect a reportedly high-end product, lightly used, to last longer. And if for some reason it failed, one would reasonably think that the manufacturer would provide some type of support to make the product work (as designed and advertised) at a reasonable cost to the consumer. Note - this is a $600 dishwasher.

Purchased in July 2015 for $1350. We were debating between the two name brands, so we have decided to purchased Bosch invent for life, that was the slogan. After 16 months the drain pump has stopped working and shown e24 on the panel. Did our research online, clean the filter, reset... no success. Called customer services and the respond I got, the warranty has expired after a year so you have to pay for the labour $129 cost and parts will be extra. Why should I pay, My last dishwasher lasted for 15 years (still working but not very energy efficient). So I have to wait for 48 hours for management approval. Well it has been more than 3 days, no respond. After a few phone calls, Bosch finally responded and agreed to pay only for the parts. Lesson learnt, Bosch never purchased again.

Tankless water heaters save you a lot in energy bills, fit into small spaces, and are built to last longer. This makes them advantageous than the traditional water heaters. Bosch tankless water heaters are some of the best in the industry, offering premium features like better performance, better durability, and Wi-Fi connectivity, too.

Bought Bosch dishwasher model shown below in July 2016. After a little over 2 years of normal use, the unit required $295 of repair work. Had to replace the control board (under warranty) and the heat pump (not under warranty). Bosch 800 Series 2434 Tall Tub BuiltIn Dishwasher with StainlessSteel Tub White - Model: SHX68T52UC SKU: 8862445. Called Bosch customer service to see if Bosch would cover the repairs. I was very disappointed with Bosch for not covering all repair work costs. I purchased this unit because of the reviews it got in Consumer Reports. A good dishwasher should not need repairs after so little time/use.

Long story short, I bought a 500 series Bosch and after 2 months it started malfunctioning. I must say Bosch Customer Services did try to fix it by replacing two computers and a pump, but it still malfunctioned. They finally replaced it after numerous calls, service calls and emails. I bought a different brand. Bosch did call me back unprompted by a call from me to see how things were going and even after it was replaced, I got a call from one of the managers about problems with a dealer refund. I found them to at least care about their customer to go out of the way to assist me. As for the product and I have had Boschs before, it was a lemon. Previous bosch dishwashers were great and my niece even has the same one I had but hers worked beautifully. After an 8 month ordeal, I dont think I would buy one again, but its only because I dont want to ever experience this amount of hassle again over anything.

Admittedly, my Bosch Oven is now over 10 years old and out of warranty. However, this is the second time that the Bosch Oven has exploded with glass shattering over the floor and the people in the kitchen. Whilst I expect some ovens to grow old, I do not expect them to explode - especially twice now. The first was when the oven was being used and the second time was when the oven had cooled down. The first time, Bosch provided some (around 40%) reimbursement. On the second contact, first impression from customer service was that they were interested, but since then, they have been notably unavailable for comment or response. I wont be recommending a Bosch Oven purchase to anyone - in fact my response would be the opposite.

We purchased the Bosch microwave/speed oven (800 series) with an extended warranty along with several other Bosch appliances during a kitchen remodel in 2016. During the two years we have owned the appliances, the microwave has broken down three times. Boschs customer service has been atrocious! Many weeks waiting for an appointment and then more time waiting for parts and subsequent visits from a repairman. Most recently, the control panel was completely replaced on 8/17/18. This has been a horrible experience made worse today when I discovered during a baby shower that the Bosch warming drawer installed under the oven units had been damaged during the repair to the microwave! Never again will I recommend or purchase a Bosch product.

The compressor on our Bosch refrigerator seized after just 7 years. The cost to repair was more than we paid for our new refrigerator - NOT a Bosch, a Frigidaire Gallery. Stay away from dual evaporators - sounds nice, but its too complex for the government-mandated efficiencies. (The Bosch dishwasher is great.)

Service and installation of the product will take long time (7 to 8 days), nobody will call until we remind them regularly. This happened to me when I bought a fridge from Bosch dealer in Bangalore. The product was delivered to me on time but the installation person came after 8 days, and suddenly my fridge got complete shut down after a week. When I called the service department they told, concern person will call you in 48 hrs but it took 6 days for a person to come after 3 emails to customer care center.

I completed a kitchen renovation and purchased a Bosch refrigerator. When it was unwrapped, the right door was severely damaged. Bosch suggested a new door rather than a new refrigerator and I agreed. We are now 2 months later and I’m told the production of the door is not until 9/18/21 and they have no idea when they will replace the door. Lewis was very irritated when I tried to get a definitive answer as to the install date. These are not cheap appliances and I guess I expected better customer service. Doubt that I will be a future Bosch customer based in this experience.

Bosch hot water heater GHW 1600 H - After my hot water heater stopped working, I called support system. I received an absolutely no help from your service. The lady was only concerned about if I was certified to work on my own personal equipment that I bought from your company. I am very knowledgeable about the electrical and mechanical equipment; I am a machinist over 40 some years. She advised me that I had to have a service tech call her to get the information off of her. You cant even find a park to replace the equipment that I have. What piss poor support. I will never buy another product from Bosch.

My Bosch combination microwave/convection oven just stopped working for the 5th time in 5 years, and my extended warranty just expired 5 days ago. I would NEVER recommend this appliance. I thought Bosch was a great brand name, but its been my experience that their ovens are inferior. The control panels went black each time and had to be replaced. Having the extended warranty was so worth the extra expense as I would have paid for this appliance almost twice over the original purchase price in service calls. Save your money and buy another brand.

Washes dishes but often leaves residue. Doesnt dry the plastics. Honestly, I use the main wash; pots and pans is too hot most of the time, and the quick wash doesnt really clean them all. I dont like the arrangement of the racks. Bowls dont fit well on either level, I could help Bosch find a much better way so loading is easier. Its comparable to others in the same price range. Ours decided to fall apart after 6 years. The actual computer panel just fell off. We can use it without the panel, but it is really broken. Wont buy another Bosch.

Since I purchased my W&D nearly 3 years ago Ive had repair people called out at my expense twice. Then a couple of weeks ago my washer started leaking at the front-loading door-seal. I called Bosch to see if they would pick up the tab for this third unfortunate event. They would not. The major cost is, of course, the house call. The Bosch Customer Service (joke) rep told me that, at most, they would provide another door seal after I paid a repair person to come and look at the washer and state that it leaked, -- THEN, I must call the repair person back again (my fee, again) to install the seal that BOSCH so generously provided to me (after proof). Only then would I have a washer that twisted my clothes into a knot and annoyed me with constant beeps that I cannot turn off. What is wrong with these companies? Where is customer service? I bought their high end products and put my faith in them to help the environment by using less water and electricity, to the tune of 3X what a regular ol W&D cost. German engineering notwithstanding, I will never buy another Bosch product. I will wash clothes on a rock first!! And ya know what the really sad part is? The nice little Appliance Plus repairman in Surfside said on one of this visits that this was still the best washer and dryer made :(
