Good washer.. overall.... but was very surprised I am forced to put the blue rinse fluid in it or it will not operate. The pegs that hold the dishes are oddly spaced on the bottom rack and have little flexibility and it is often hard to put dishes and pans in there. Also frustrating to have 2 removable silver trays.. replaced it with one large one. Wish there was one for the top rack instead as the problems with the bottom rack leave it with fewer items.

DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE A ONE! I bought all Bosch products for my new kitchen thinking German engineering was the best!!! Well, think again! The dishwasher is great, the slide in gas stove is ok but surface scratches at the slightest contact. My complaint is the 24 electric wall oven that I paid close to $ 2,000 for. You set it at 350, the light indicating it has reached the temperature goes off when it is at 325 degrees, when it reaches 350 it then moves on to 400 and even goes up to 500 or sometimes goes down again to 350. It is not usable! I complained repeatedly, had a serviceman come more than once and finally Bosch replaced it only to have the same problem all over again!! I even got my electrician to come when the second oven had the same problem but the problem wasnt the electricity! I feel totally cheated and wish I could reach a larger audience with my complaint!

My Bosch Front load Axxis was delivered with a broken drum, there was no evidence of shipping damage. Upon starting the first load water leaked onto the floor and damaged a new floor. The drum was replaced by a Bosch authorized repairman. After attempting to start for the second time, the front panel showed an error code that indicated a faulty control panel. At this point I had the machine for 1.5 months and have never done even one load. I asked Bosch for a replacement and I have a case file, but the service center keeps losing information or telling me that I need to provide more info. All I did was try to buy what I thought would be a good washer. All I have gotten for $900 is a hassle, more cleaning bills, a damaged floor and a worthless piece of junk. DO NOT BUY BOSCH.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in August of 2012. Model number SHX33RF5UC/64. It has the hidden integrated control panel. It worked well until a few days ago when it stopped draining. I called a local appliance repair company, which has fixed our appliances for 19 years. The repair person who came looked at the dishwasher and then decided they that they werent familiar enough Bosch dishwashers to work on it. I called Bosch, they agreed to pay for a diagnostic visit from one of their approved providers. The repair person took off the front of the dishwasher and drained it. They told me that they could not diagnose it without taking it back to their store. They werent sure if it was the pump, the control panel, or both. I asked how much it might cost and they advised me that it probably would be around 300.00. I asked if he thought I should buy a new dishwasher, because the repairs were so expensive and they only warranted the repairs for 90 days. He recommended buying a new dishwasher. So now I have a dishwasher that fills up, washes but doesnt drain. I hate to get rid of it, but if I get it repaired and breaks then Ill still need a new dishwasher. Shortly, after purchasing the dishwasher I bought the same one for my dad, because initially it worked well. Its really disappointing because I grew up with a KitchenAid dishwasher that worked for 23 years. In my experience todays KitchenAid products arent any better than any other major brands.

I purchased a wonderful dishwasher. It was brand new and with an extended warranty. After 3 cycles, my dishwasher quit registering commands from the control panel. We called Bosch for a services technician. The service technician came 2 weeks after to diagnose the problem. It took another 3 weeks for the parts to arrive. He then said it could not be fixed. The service technician will not call us back and Bosch keeps adding comments to our file. Its been months since we had a working dishwasher. Bosch stated that they need the unresponsive service technician to call us. The store we purchased it from will not take it back because Bosch will not give us a confirmation code. Its been extremely frustrating with no remedy in sight.

Bought the above dishwasher (Model SHV878WD3N/10) and had it installed 10/15/18. It did not work from the 1st day. A repair technician checked it on 11/2/18 and told us the dishwasher had a factory defect and was not repairable. He contacted Bosch and told me they were going to exchange the dishwasher and I should check back with them in 3-4 days. I called on 11/6 in the morning and was told the exchange had been approved and I would have to wait 5-7 business days for that to be arranged. In the afternoon on 11/6 a customer service rep called me and advised me the exchange was approved and I would have to wait 7-10 business days.On 11/14/18 I called because I had not heard from them and was told that the approval had not been sent to the exchange department and was assured it was sent through that day. Now they tell me I will have to wait another 7-14 days to find out what model the exchange is approved for and when that may take place. Customer service reps are rude and do not provide their name. This was a $884 custom front unit and they are not even telling me I can get the same unit. The customer service at Bosch is terrible!!

Bought a Bosch Dishwasher from Currys; after a few weeks I felt it was not washing properly. I rang company sent out a repairman. He said its heating and the arms are turning so its fine. I showed him a stained mug which he took for examination. A few months later it still wasnt washing properly, rang again sent out another Bosch guy. He advised I should have bought elsewhere. Many phone calls to the UK followed. Finally UK said get onto Currys. I went into Currys and explained my situation: dishwasher doesnt wash properly and I cant used dishwasher tablets have to use powder. They were very helpful in the beginning but finally told me that Bosch UK said that their Engineer said it was fine. I have never dealt with such terrible Customer Services as in Bosch UK. They really dont have a clue but dont really want to know your problem. Sadly I have a Bosch washing machine and a Neff oven from the same house. I dread to think how they are going to pan out. It seems to me that Bosch will string you along until your warranty is gone. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH OR NEFF AGAIN AND I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE PEOPLE TO DO THE SAME. They are operating under a good name which they achieved and their stuff is now very poor quality. My advice: do as my sister did, buy the cheapest out there it really cant be any worse.

My washer and dryer are 4 years old, and the dishwasher is 2 years old. The housing on all of the appliances is cracked, and those cracks are growing! As a retired couple, it certainly cannot be due to heavy wear and tear on our part. Of course, the warranties are now gone and so is our hard earned money. Bah! To Bosch! A quality product? According to price they should be; the reality differs. I am so angry that I want to take them to court...I want the company to act as if they truly did believe in their product and stand behind it and treat their consumers accordingly.

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

Let me start by saying I have lived in 2 apartments with a combined total of 6 Bosch appliances, 3 of which have failed. In my old apartment, we had the Axxis Washer and Dryer (top/bottom) units. The dryer never dried. After numerous service calls which my landlord paid for, it finally worked. The washer also leaked water extensively, causing the hardwood floor boards to come up.In my new apartment, we have the exact same washer and dryer which have worked fine. Problem? The cooktop and oven. Both failed the same exact month. The cooktop igniter would not stop clicking and the electric oven would not heat, even though it was receiving power and all else functioned. I had a technician from Bosch who came to diagnose. He knew less about ovens than he did English. Could not understand a word he said. He fussed around with the cooktop for an hour and proclaimed some part to be broken. Cost? $800. Are you for real? The cooktop NEW is $700. As for the oven, he claimed the element needed replacement. Cost? $1000. I kicked him out of my house and they still billed me $160 for the service call. Bosch, you are the absolute worst. I will never buy an appliance from you again.

We purchased the Bosch microwave/speed oven (800 series) with an extended warranty along with several other Bosch appliances during a kitchen remodel in 2016. During the two years we have owned the appliances, the microwave has broken down three times. Boschs customer service has been atrocious! Many weeks waiting for an appointment and then more time waiting for parts and subsequent visits from a repairman. Most recently, the control panel was completely replaced on 8/17/18. This has been a horrible experience made worse today when I discovered during a baby shower that the Bosch warming drawer installed under the oven units had been damaged during the repair to the microwave! Never again will I recommend or purchase a Bosch product.

I am a plumber in Sydney. I always recommended Bosch or Smeg dishwashers to customers when doing kitchen renovations I used to have a Smeg dishwasher which was very user friendly then I changed to Bosch which is my biggest downfall in appliance selection & recommendations, since having it I have found: #1. It not washes soap off properly & we were told not to use the finish tablets. #2. Racking system bottom rack loses wheels all the time & top & bottom racks folds & doesnt hold dishes properly. #3. Faults with drainage system always happening & I always need to reset system holding start button down 10 sec #4. Now it has a fault E15 flashing & drain continues to drain - I even payed for extended warranty which doesnt cover much not happy. I thought Bosch had a much much much better quality dishwasher than this.

I do like my new dishwasher - cleans great and is quiet but there is a smell. This is not food related, or deposit related since it is only 2 weeks old. It is obviously from the plastic molds used for the racks. I am unsure if this is a deal breaker yet and send it back. I have no alternative one to get. This one has everything I want except this smell is bad. You would think Bosch would fix this long ago, sadly not.

Bosch, a German company known for their engineering, engineered a three-piece door handle for their refrigerator. The handle consist of an elongated handle that is attached to the door by two small plastic pieces; one at the top of the handle, and one at the bottom of the handle. The small plastic piece that attaches the bottom part of the handle to the door cracked dislodging the bottom support for the handle. I ordered the replacement part from the retailer and was told that the whole handle had to be bought. A $.50 piece of plastic cracks and Bosch expect the consumer to replace the whole handle; estimated replacement, $125-$150. Bosch Customer Service suggested that I pay for a service call to see why the $.50 piece of plastic cracked.

The tumble dryer was not working properly, not drying the container button
The tumble dryer was not working properly, not drying the container button kept flashing even though the container was not even a quarter full, and then the handle broke. We call Bosch with the same problem (under warranty) months ago and the engineer said that he could find a fault - he admitted that the handle (top) was broken but did nothing about both problems. Today, we had an engineer coming and all he wanted first was his call charge. He refused to look at it and did not have a spare handle to change despite our phone call to make sure we wont waste time on this. We refused to pay because when weve spoken to Bosch we said that this was an existing problem, and of course now our warranty had run out. Weve spoken to a Supervisor and said they could not do anything and could not find our previous call and existing problem. Very angry with them. All our appliances are from Bosch. WE WILL NOT BE BUYING FROM BOSCH ANYMORE AND WILL PASS ON THE BAD EXPERIENCE WE HAD TO EVERYBODY. Do not buy from Bosch, they will try to rip you off like us once a problem arises. They wait until the warranty runs out to make you pay whatever they can.

I remodeled my kitchen in July of 2011. I got a gas stovetop and the vent is the Bosch 10282541 downdraft system. This is approx. $1,200 and has never worked for more than a month at a time. Currently, its not working, and Bosch will not repair it. I contacted Bosch in October of 2011 and they gave me a name of a company to work with. They came out, assessed the problem and after 6 weeks of no contact, no update, no fix, I had to contact Bosch and get another name of a company to fix the problem. Again, after weeks of delay, they came out and fixed it.And after 2 months, the vent broke again. They were in the process of fixing this, and again, it was delayed due to a back problem with the repairman. They did a partial fix, but then needed more repairs - and Bosch said the time was out for the year of in-warranty repair. During the first year this was installed, it was not working more than it was working. On Thanksgiving and every major holiday, I was without a fan. I contacted Bosch several times, and they promised to have a supervisor call me back, but that never happened. I have resolved to not buy Bosch appliances ever again as my fix.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in March 2011. It is model SHE43P25UC/64. The 2 plastic brackets which attach the control panel (also used as the handle) to the door have both cracked. My usage is typical for a household of 2 people so there was no excessive use here. The cracked brackets now cause the control panel to pull away from the front door when the dishwasher is opened.I took the front door panel off by removing the side screws (not the top screws) and I removed the broken brackets by unscrewing them at the tabs. I rough sanded the plastic at the cracks and applied Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bonder (3450 PSI) to the broken tabs and reassembled. I made sure the glued bracket lined up with the screw holes and manually pressed the control panel inward for 10 minutes to set the bonding agent. I then installed the bracket screws loosely and let the unit sit undisturbed for about 12 hours. Then I tightened the screws and reattached the front door panel. Its been 2 weeks and so far it had held in place. Since the Loctite claims to fuse the plastic, Im hoping this will last a while. I had searched the web for this issue and couldnt find a hit so Im posting this here in hopes that someone experiencing a similar issue can find this.

I called Bosch and scheduled an appointment and the man called in sick and did not show up. I took a day off from work for this repair and they let me know 20 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive. I told them that the next time if they do not give me sufficient notice I would send them a bill. I also told them since they were scheduling me for another day, that meant they were agreeing to my terms. The second time I took a day off they called and told me that the man did not have the part with him. I told them that I was sending them a bill and the woman told me that they do not reimburse people.

I purchased a Bosch refrigerator in May 2010. I was happy about the design and sizing. The refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser stopped working right way. I called 1-800-944-2904. Customer service was nice and sent me a technician, who said that the refrigerator had a computer failure. He did order the parts and the parts came the next day. The technician came after two days and said that the parts are wrong and ordered one more time. The parts arrived and the technician changed them; nothing was working. He ordered the left door. The door arrived, the technician came and installed the door and still, nothing worked. After several calls and a lot of aggravation, Bosch sent me another door (dont know why). Finally, I have had to send them proof of my purchase and several calls to management before they changed my refrigerator. I was so happy! The refrigerator worked for almost 3 years. Now, it has stopped cooling in the freezer compartment. I called Bosch services again on April 08, 2013. They promised me a technician who can only come on April 13th! I had to ask my neighbor to store my food temporarily in their refrigerator. Today, April 09, 2013, the refrigerator stopped cooling completely! I dont understand one thing - why Bosch refrigerators work for only 3 years? How do I make them responsible for it? They are charging $99 only because the technician will show up at your door. After that, they charge $12 every six minutes! I shouldve done better research first. Now I did, and I dont understand why I dont see any recalls on cooling system failure. It looks like it is the biggest problem in Bosch refrigerators. Im so upset at this point. I work so hard and wasnt prepared to buy a refrigerator every 3 years. Please advise me. I dont know what to do. The repair will probably be cheaper, but how I can trust them?

I wish I had something good to say about my Bosch kitchen appliances. I redid my kitchen oven, cooktop, exhaust fan, microwave, and dishwasher with Bosch products. I lasted about a month with the dishwasher and told my husband I wasnt going to live the next five years with it. I replaced it with a Kenmore and couldnt be happier. The Bosch racks were terribly, inefficiently configured - that was my worst complaint. It smelled sour. The microwave is OK as far as doing the job, but its not handy in any way and is impossible to clean because for one thing I cant reach the back of it without a step stool. You have to put in the number of minutes and seconds every time you use it. The convection oven doesnt thrill me at all. My cookies turn out pasty and it doesnt seem to do anything any faster at any temperature.Same old oven as far as Im concerned. I bang my head on the exhaust fan whenever I try to see what is on the back burner. The burners on the cooktop are too big for the pots, except for the smallest ones. The knobs on the cooktop get very hot and are hard to adjust with a pot on them. Lets see if there is anything good I have to say. They look pretty, but the engineers who designed them have never even boiled water much less cooked a meal, and they have certainly never cleaned them or even used them.

Customer Service at Bosch is claiming it was improperly installed. When my Bosch dishwasher was 4 years old a safety recall was done at no charge. I had a similar problem again four more years later and called their customer help line to see what it would cost to have a service technician check it out. When I gave them my serial number and explained the problem I was having the representative said it may be the same problem as previous and as it was safety related there would be no charge. Their rate at the time was in excess of $100.00 per hour. I explained to the rep that I did not want to pay that much if there was a possibility it was not the same problem. She assured me that there would be no charge for the diagnosis. The repairman came and found that the electrical connection to the unit had shorted. He installed a new wire connector at no charge even though it was no fault of their product. It has been working fine since then and is now ten year old, but when it does finally die I will definitely buy another Bosch dishwasher. Their product and service has far exceeded my expectations.

Bought floor model from Lowes. As a Lowes employee I am well aware of Lowes deficiencies and should have expected that they would sell a returned item without the parts needed for installation. Boschs do not direct wire; they need a custom connector for the electrical connection. But I called Bosch and told them the parts were missing. Their rep took all my information and promised to send them. Then they emailed back to me (which I failed to notice) and stated their supervisor (super ** or super **) stated since it was a floor model I would have to take back their promise and I would have to pay for the parts. Did not include part numbers, how much, etc. to make it even harder for me to order. This is causing a 10 day delay in installation, etc. Just know Bosch which wants $800-2000 for a dishwasher is willing to sell their reputation for some parts revenue. Thought these Germans were smarter than that but obviously the South was the wrong place to locate their plant. Obviously I am very pissed off about this.

About four years ago, I purchased three Bosch appliances at Best Buy. Oven, microwave and stove top. The microwave does not work properly since the time it was purchased, uneven cooking, takes a long time to heat up or cook food. Bosch technician took a look and said, That is how it works. Today is the oven and microwave, are not working at all. Bosch repair service is costly, diagnose, parts and repairs. Their soonest appointment to repair them will be in two months. I called different appliance repair services, but they do not work with Bosch appliances. I would not recommend Bosch appliances.

Our Bosch dishwasher is only 5 years old. It was working great until the other night. We put it on just before going to bed. When we got up in the morning, there was a terrible burnt electrical smell in the house. The outside of the dishwasher was black around the control panel and the inside was fried. Looks like we had a small electrical fire. The breaker wasnt tripped. It has scared the absolute ** out of me. Has anyone else had this problem? We never overload our dishwasher and clean the filters regularly. Our house could have caught on fire while we slept. Im wondering if anyone else has had something like this happen to them? I would like to report this incident to Bosch, not because I am looking for payment, but to try to prevent this or something much worse happening to anyone else.

We have had dishwashers since 1974 and were always satisfied. A guarantee should not mean that after 2 years machines should start misbehaving. The baskets are rusting even though no objects that could rust were put in there. The light for the main programme failed. The on off - switch failed. We are very disappointed as the very 1st dishwasher we had from Phillips lasted for ages and we only replaced it because we moved house and had a new kitchen. Very unhappy. If you want to replace the baskets you will have paid for almost a new machine.

Bosch 800 slide in electric range.. 5 burner. There is a major flaw with the self-cleaning feature. After two hours of the four hour cleaning cycle, an error code, E302, appears on the panel. This has happened both times the oven has been cleaned. The instructions from Bosch Help Line (nothing in the manual regarding this problem) are to turn off the electrical breaker when the error message appears for ten to thirty minutes (depending on the representative you are talking with), then turn the breaker back on. The oven will then complete the cleaning process (hopefully). Why would you have to turn the breaker off each time you clean the oven? This range cost $1799.10 + tax. A range this expensive should clean properly.

I had a similar Bosch in a home I purchased in 2015 and I love everything about it. I moved in 2017 and of course purchased another Bosch fridge. This one works well, but it has a feature on the shelves that wastes a huge amount of space and makes the actual useable height of the shelves 1” shorter than the actual height. Somehow I didnt notice it in the store despite looking at it a number of times. It could be that they changed the shelves recently and the store model didnt have the brace across the front of each shelf. Its almost impossible to seein the photos. A tall drink bottle wont fit without angling it and even worse, the upper shelves are only 3 1/4” high instead of 4” high if it didn’t have that weird brace across the front. It make it so that only ver short items can go on that shelf. The bottom shelf in 10’ tall because of the brace, Hill without it, it would be 11 1/8” high. If I can find shelves without the brace, it would be worth it to me to replace these shelves at my own expense because Best Buy won’t do anything about it.

Inside the dishwasher is roomy and configured to load glasses, plates and pots and pans after a family dinner with no problems. We use cascade and a dishwasher liquid for glass spots. Our plates, glasses, everything comes out gleaming! The best feature? The dishwasher is so Quiet! Seriously! There is a small red light that shines on your floor while your dishwasher is in use. I had a Bosch Dishwasher go out on us while still under warranty. This happened in March, it is now mid September. In order to have warranty work done, you have to go through one of Boschs certified repair facilities. A gomer from the worst appliance service firm in town came out 3 times at over $75.00 a crack. They ordered parts, which Bosch was out of. Our problem was so rare according to the wonderfully inept anti-customer service rep that I spoke to, that actually drew out a long sigh on the phone like I was interrupting a wonderful game of spider solitaire. Fast forward, 3 more service calls and we still have a wonderfully designed German paperweight. Gomer Senior from the Authorized Service Company let us slide on the last service call because he flooded my basement. Yes, a dishwasher repairman forgot about the water that could be in a dishwasher. I called Bosch and said no more, enough, just stop. I sent them 8 pages of documentation with the time line of our torture and heard nothing from them. Fast forward, several e-mails and placed calls to Pam, the Manager. I am starting to think that Pam is paid a piece rate by LG or Whirlpool to see how many customers she can send away from Bosch. Pam never returned my e-mails, or phone calls. Mind you, in her defense the one area she has trained her wonderful, rude, and inept staff in is to avoid forwarding anything to her. Then, just the guy making $8.00 per hour can get blamed. I was just told today that 3 weeks ago, she denied that Bosch was responsible for anything. Is this for real? are you sure you want to take that road Pam?

Washes dishes but often leaves residue. Doesnt dry the plastics. Honestly, I use the main wash; pots and pans is too hot most of the time, and the quick wash doesnt really clean them all. I dont like the arrangement of the racks. Bowls dont fit well on either level, I could help Bosch find a much better way so loading is easier. Its comparable to others in the same price range. Ours decided to fall apart after 6 years. The actual computer panel just fell off. We can use it without the panel, but it is really broken. Wont buy another Bosch.

We purchased our 800 Series from Lowes. I wish I had returned it. The wheels on the lower rack were poorly designed (product manager should be fired). If there are any dishes in the lower rack, you cannot pull the rack out. Its frustrating to struggle with this everyday, and with the price we paid, I really expected a better dishwasher. I have called customer service three times. They have been no help - instead, they wanted to send out a service person. (Can you fix bad design?) The last agent said, Oh, we have a fix for that now - has anyone offered to send you the fat wheels. The wheels were not wider, and they were not a fix. The rack constantly gets rolls off track and gets stuck inside the dishwasher. So - if youre going to purchase any Bosch at all - you might want to try putting a few plates into the bottom rack and see if it pulls out. This one bad design feature overshadows the third rack for silverware and any other nifty features. If you cannot get the most important design right, the rest do not matter. Oh, and you must thoroughly prewash your dishes as this 800 Series cannot do the job on its own.

I moved into a brand new building with a Bosch Axxis washer and dryer that had never been used. I am the apartments first occupant. I have always had some issue with these appliances, but what I have dealt with in the past week has taken the cake. My first issues were similar to most peoples on this site: the washer does not fully dry out after use and is left with a mildew smell which then gets on the clothes and the dryer does not fully dry unless run for hours and, again, leaves the clothes with a mildew smell and leaves you with an expensive electric bill. This was hardly energy saving. My most intense grievance is with the cheap latch design on the washer and the customer service I received in response to this issue. I closed the washer after loading it up with clothes and the latch on the washer (not the door) fell into the machine making it not possible to close the washer and therefore not possible to run it. I called my maintenance man in my building who directed me to the Bosch customer service line. We relayed what happened and said we needed a new latch or something needed to be fixed on the latch. Someone came to fix the issue the next day. By fixing the issue, I mean the man just pulled the latch out and put it where it was, leaving it to be able to fall back into the machine, which is what it did immediately when we tried to use it. When we called the service man who came from Bosch, he said no one told him he needed to put a new latch so he basically did not do anything. We called to make a new appointment and they said they could come 1 month later. That is just unacceptable. They finally said a third party person could come in 4 days. I am waiting to see if this third party person will actually fix the latch. This all occurred 4 months after moving in. So 4 months of use on the washer. Thats all. The funniest part is that the service man even admitted he did nothing to fix the issue. These products are cheap and the service is awful. Do not buy from this company.

I bought this dishwasher based on customer reviews. I like the washing performance of this dishwasher, and the lighted controls…especially that it tells me how many minutes are left on the chosen cycle and when it is finished. It is also very quiet. There is one thing that frustrates me and that is the design of the lower rack. The tines are placed so that it can accommodate 12 place settings (according to the instruction manual). Few, if any, people have need for this on a daily basis. What is needed for families is capacity for place settings combined with serving bowls, mixing bowls, and cooking utensils. However, the tines are positioned so that this is very difficult and requires running the dishwasher more frequently or doing more hand washing. (My previous dishwasher was much more accommodating of a variety of dishes and pans.)I wrote a letter to the manufacturer with my concerns and asked if there is an alternative bottom rack. I got a callback but was unavailable. The message was that they would call back. Never happened. I called the number in the instruction book twice, each time the representative said she would have another person call me back...never happened. I thought Bosch was a top of the line brand and expected better service than this. At this point I would never recommend this brand to anyone. Model SHEM63W56N/13.

Within the first year, we had a repairman come out for our ice maker on the fridge, (wasnt making ice) quick enough, thought he fixed it the first time but... he ended up coming back out a second time. We then came to the conclusion we use too much ice than the ice maker can handle for 2 adults!! (Seems odd) but ok. Fine... Now here we are, 3 years later and my range will not heat, the broiler works but the oven does not.. for appliances that are relatively new that seems really odd!!!! Received a Bosch dishwasher which was installed by a Richards contractor. The machine worked well for 3 months then suddenly died. We had purchased a long term service contract with Richards and were directed to their service vendor (Danmark). It took approximately 2 weeks for a serviceman to come out. Of course, they had to order 2 parts. It took an additional 2 weeks for the serviceman to return. He installed the parts and the washer was still was inoperative. He instructed us to request a new machine which we did. We were contacted by Danmark and were told Bosch requested that another part (the main circuit board which was replaced already) be re-replaced before they agreed to replace the machine. We agreed and the serviceman returned 2 weeks later and replaced the board again. Guess what, the machine still didnt work. Now frustrated, I called the store where the machine was purchased and explained the situation to a store manager. He did, in all fairness, relay my problem to Richards service department because in one hours time, I received another call from Richards. Once again I had to retell my story to this person who assured me I would hear from her the following day. Four days later, theres still no return call from Richards service department. I returned a call to the store manager, retold my story and went out of my way to thank him for effects of relaying my problem to Richards service. I asked for Richards service phone at which time this manager got annoyed (clearly in his voice) and promptly gave me a wrong number. Thank you P.C. Richards, guess youve lost another customer. $1375 may not seem a lot to you, but its a lot of money to me. Im considering a small claims suit against Richards and Bosch and will explore that option.

I bought my 800 series Bosch dishwasher a year and a half ago and while there were some bumps because I bought a used one from the Sears Discount Center the representatives were very prompt about repairing and then replacing my defective machine. Now that I have a functioning dishwasher it is not only my very favorite appliance of my house, it is one of my most beloved possessions. There are 10 people in my family and we are able to stack in a huge amount of dishes because the spacing of the racks are so well designed and the additional 3rd rack is able to accommodate all of the silverware. I have never had such clean dishes with so little pre-cleansing before I put the dishes in. There are times that still needs servicing due to the hard water in Arizona but once it is cleaned I am once again left with immaculately clean dishes every time, including my Bosch mixer which I can put in encrusted with dried bread dough and pots and pans. I am very disappointed to hear all of these awful reviews when truly it is the best appliance I have ever owned. All of my friends who have Bosch dishwashers feel the same way I do. There is no reason to buy any other brand. Do not let these bad experiences scare you away from a truly miraculous piece of equipment.

Have a Bosch built-in refrigerator with TWO issues related to the icemaker. Have had it only 6 months, but both problems pretty much from the beginning. First of all, it keeps dropping ice into the tray, and the tray overflows because all the ice drops down in the back of the tray, while the front of the tray pretty much stays empty. Had serviceman here twice, and both times he told me I have to keep pushing the ice from the back of the tray to the front. Told me the manual says that. It doesnt.MORE IMPORTANT - there are little tiny flies and an awful smell in our freezer ever since the fridges circuit breaker blew while we were away for a month. Every once in a while Ill see a tiny larva inside an ice cube. Pretty sure there is a nest in the icemaker or water line. Or possibly in the drip tray. The bugs seem to come out every couple of weeks - probably the gestation time for the new eggs that were laid. Weve never seen a live one - only dead. Had both exterminator & Bosch service person tell us we need to totally uninstall the fridge and clean & disinfect. Seems to me there should be a way to get to the drip tray & icemaker without uninstalling the fridge. Have 4 boxes of baking soda - still have the smell.

We bought a Bosch dishwasher she68t55uc mid 2014. It has been great but all of a sudden last month December 2016, the dishwasher started making a squealing sound. We called and a repair man came. He chipped my counter which I had to fix, he had to break the door hinge because it was fine before he came, but after coming twice to repair it, the squeal is still here. Said it was the drain pump, so they replaced it, but it still squeals. They admit they are not familiar with working on Bosch but Lowes picked them to work on it. Not sure why. So Lowes will replace as under extended warranty, but I hope to pick a kitchen aid instead. I had a Kenmore elite for 18 yrs and it was still working when I replaced it with the Bosch, but it had become too noisy over the years. But it was a great one!! Wish I had bought another Kenmore.

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.

Nexxt Dryer Model No. WTMC3300US-01 - We bought this dryer new in 2004, and it worked wonderfully. After we owned it for about 7 years, the dryer started to make a harsh grating grinding noise. We immediately stopped it. When I opened the back of the dryer, it was clear the motor retainer clip had slipped off the circular end of the motor such that the motor axle could no longer be turned easily which caused the grinding noise. I remounted the axle and retaining spring and the dryer worked correctly until about 2 weeks later it happened again. I repaired it again. A month later the same thing. After about 10 iterations of this, I ordered a new retainer clip thinking that the clip had lost its retaining ability. After 3 months, the retainer clip slipped and I repaired it again. I thought Bosch made better stuff than this.

We just turned away our second delivery of a Lowes special order 300 series Bosch dishwasher due to damage. Really... is it too much to ask for an indented face on your $700.00 dishwasher these days? Yes, it is being shipped to Hawaii to the tune of a 6-8 week delivery time and many people have handled it in the transportation process, but I believe much has to do with how Bosch is packaging the item with only thick cardboard frame pieces on the 4 ends, styrofoam corners on the top and thick plastic wrap holding it all together. There is no protection to the face or sides. For an international company, you would think they would be more conscientious about how they protect their product before it gets to the end user. Will have to think seriously before I order a third one!

I tried the Bosch website and found a section about self-help and put in the model number - it was not recognised so I contacted Bosch customer service. I explained the problem. They were supremely UNHELPFUL; said I needed an engineer and offered to book one with a £95 call out. I searched online how to reset my Bosch washing machine after a power cut. The instructions were simple and took about 20 seconds to complete. SHAME ON YOU YET AGAIN BOSCH. Previously I had tried to buy new baskets for my Bosch dishwasher but at £126 EACH I did not!!! They are OUTRAGEOUS.

$600 dollars to repair a 3 year old BOSCH washing machine not covered under warranty. The part that regulates the motor went and the part is $399. Customer service said they needed my purchase receipt and diagnosis and they would get back to me. After a number of emails and phone calls BOSCH will not cover a penny. BOSCH does not stand behind their product. I just bought a LG washer, never buying a Bosch product again.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher Silence Plus 50 dBA at Lowe’s June 2015. It worked for 1 month and stopped working. I had a repairman from Lowe’s come and fix it. It worked for another few months and stopped working again. Had another repairman from Lowe’s come and he left without fixing it because he didnt know what was wrong. Another repairman (#3 so far) came out and says he knows whats wrong with this model, there is a defect with the door latch. He fixes it. Works fine until a few days ago stops working again. Of course its now out of warranty so I will have to pay to fix a dishwasher that is a little over 2 years old. I wish I kept my old noisy dishwasher instead of this piece of crap. Has been nothing but trouble and I will Never buy another Bosch product again. Dont believe the hype. It is also hard to load the dishwasher as the racks are too narrow and it didnt dry the dishes well either.

I have a fully equipped kitchen of brand new Bosch appliances. I started using them in April of 2019. In early November of that year, a small part on the lower freezer drawer broke off. This is the main freezer. I called Bosch service directly to schedule the repair. I was told that they contract their service out and that they only had two service companies in the entire San Diego county area, a HUGE area. Only one of these service companies was willing to come out and take look. The serviceman came out but did not have the part needed. He ordered it from Bosch. I heard nothing for 3 months. When I called Bosch in February 2020, still no part available. Now May, I called again and was told that the part was still not available and was “probably” coming from China and in fact may be discontinued altogether. I was told there was nothing they could do and that they will TRY and call IF it comes in. Wow. Beware! Choose appliances that have better service available and customer care in place.

I had called the factory service (Dale ** at **) and also talked to the service manager Ron ** to have my dryer repaired. The problem was first tried to fix on August 8th, 2011 where I had paid close to $300. But the problem of the clinging and banging noise did not go away. After 2 more visits, the service man had ordered new parts that seemed to be delivered always wrong. Today, after 3 months later, my nerves are blank listening to this banging, clinging dryer noise, which I have to hear 3 times per week. Nobody calls anymore to show any effort to fix this problem. How can it be that Bosch cannot fix their own machines? I think that I have been more than patient. And if you cannot repair what is wrong with my dryer, then I deserve a new machine. Or, deduct the already paid $273.25 and get me a new dryer.

We purchased three Bosch products in December 2013: a dishwasher, and combo oven/microwave. (HBL 5750). Both the microwave and oven have malfunctioned to the point of being unusable. $200 later, we have a quote for almost $1000 to fix them, no warranty extension. Attempting to get Bosch’s attention and address what we consider a premature failure of their very expensive products has been an exercise in futility. Their representative asked for—and I provided—original documentation of purchase of these products and quote for repair. They responded by asking for the original receipt and repair quote on letterhead, despite the fact that I sent them the inside product serial tag for each item. The provenance if these products is NOT an issue, yet they continue to disavow responsibility. Contrast this to Grohe products: I called them about a failed soap dispenser and faucet, sent them the original order and my new faucet/dispenser is on their way!! What a pleasure to deal with them!! Bosch is NOT WORTH the price, they don’t stand by their products, they have terrible customer service and they are obstructive in trying to navigate their process. April 25th 2017 we took our new refrigerator home. Everything was fine until August 21 it stopped cooling. Called Factory Direct Appliance because I bought the extended warranty and they said to call Bosch. So I called Bosch and they set me up with a ticket and recommended a repair place that services their appliances. That company is called At Your Service repair and they are as bad or worse than Bosch. They couldnt come out for a week. So a week without a fridge and when he shows up tells me that they have to order the part. A circuit board that tells the compressor to kick on. Tells me it will be a week and a half before they get it and sets a time to come back out. That day approaches, the Friday after Labor Day, and I hadnt heard from anyone so I called them. They proceed to tell me that the part is on backorder and they have no idea when it will get here. So I waited a week or two and decided to call Bosch again. They tell me that it is on backorder until December. So I said no problem, replace my refrigerator. They said send us proof of purchase and the diagnostic from the repair shop so I did. Another week goes by and I hear nothing. So I call Bosch again, and now they miraculously found the part from Appliance Parts Depot. Meanwhile the repair place has closed the ticket because they were told it would be replaced. So Bosch says that they are sending the part to At Your Service. I call at At Your Service and they know nothing of it. Keep in mind here who is doing all the calling. Neither of these outfits called or cared how I was doing, if I was taken care of or if I was happy or satisfied. So now when I call one they send me to the other and vice versa. So now they do not want to replace my refrigerator and in fact are putting an aftermarket part in it. In a week it will be 2 months without a refrigerator and I am still the one calling trying to get answers and just get my appliance replaced. Bosch sucks. I was looking at buying a Bosch table saw, cordless drills etc. because I liked the way they perform but I will never buy anything Bosch because they dont stand behind their product and they definitely dont care about their consumers.

We bought a set of Bosch washer and dryer that was rated top of the line. We have had nothing but problems for 2 years. Of course we paid top dollar expecting top performance. We have had servicemen out too many times to count. Each time the problem was fixed it really never was. We called repairmen approved by Bosch, called the Bosch hotline, etc. The washer does not clean the clothes properly. They still stink no matter what kind of detergent or fabric softener we use (we have tried them all). In addition, the dryer does not dry. It takes 3 hours to dry one load. We have to start the dryer and then let it cool down and repeat. With a family of four, this does not work. We will be junking these and getting good old Maytag.

Bosch 500 Series HBE5451UC - From installation forward the oven would not heat up to temperature. We bought it through Sears. I called Sears Repair twice. They just gave me the runaround wanting me to bake various things and keep track of how long they took to bake. Sears was not interested in my problem. Called the Bosch Service line. They gave me the name of and excellent repair service that would drive 60 miles to my home in the mountains. The repair technician evaluated the oven and found it had a bad board, I suppose circuit board. It took 3 visits from the repair tech. The wrong board was first sent. Once the correct board was installed the oven is reaching temperature. However it continues to not bake good evenly. It bakes things faster in the back of the oven than at the front. I have to watch or bread or cake will be burned in the back of the oven while still pale at the front. The baking rails are a real danger. There is only one pair of rails with the oven. I tried to buy a second pair so I could bake 2 pans at a time and they are not available. So, I tried inserting a pan without the rails. It is very dangerous!! You have to be very careful or the pan falls out and would dump its contents on the floor. So, the oven has very limited use with only one usable rack for a pan limiting how much one can back at a time. This is the 3rd wall oven we have had in this cabinet in the 40 years we have lived in the house. It is 34 inches up from the floor. Every time I open the oven it blows hot air into my face fogging my glasses. I have to step back and wait for my glasses to clear before I can check or remove whatever is baking. As a Public Health Nurse I am concerned this oven has too many safety issues and is a menace to the consumer.

I have been dealing with a non-working tankless water heater for about a week, and Bosch customer service keeps telling me from pictures I sent that the install is incorrect. I have had many technicians come into my home and verify the setup and that Bosch, a reputable company, should accommodate us. Its been under 5 years since we have used these units and with not having hot water for almost a week and the countless phone calls to Bosch and emails with pictures, I am resorting to going to the Better Business Bureau. We had the town of Clifton verify everything before they issued us a Certificate of Occupancy. This CO would not be issued if a potential threat was posed due to incorrect installation. We also called Clifton City Hall, who said install was done according to city code. Of two, only one tankless water heater works. I will mention all over social media how Bosch treated this situation and my overall experience. We had to pay multiple amounts to the plumbers who visited our home, who ended up telling us this is something Bosch should be handling for us. Where is Bosch when this customer needs them to help? The 15 year warranty is mighty easy to void isnt it. Also, if Bosch is so confident that the install is incorrect, why doesnt Bosch come here and take a look themselves? Id appreciate a response as this is getting extremely frustrating.

We purchased 3 Bosch appliances when we built our house 6 years ago. The dishwasher and microwave are up to par. All appliances are working. However, our 30 BOSCH gas range is experiencing rust spots on the lower drawer and around the main door. The enamel has come off part of the top of the range. I know from past experience with another dishwasher in my previous custom home, which Sears stood behind, that had rust spots on the door panel. The repairman actually said its a knock off from China and this is not stainless steel. I will say that my opinion is this is the same problem with the Bosch oven. Most people know that magnets do not stick to stainless steel. Well, start testing! Magnet sticks to my stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, range door and range lower drawer which means the appliances are NOT stainless steel. The magnet does not stick to my LG refrigerator which is 10 years old so it is true stainless steel. Since BOSCH and the store I purchase it from advertised these products are stainless steel, I paid for stainless steel. Customer service is not up to par. The customer service rep and a supervisor talked about my business to my cleaning lady as she called them to defend her use of cleaning products as BOSCH tech said my cleaning products must contain bleach. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, Attorney General as I feel this is false advertisement. and to BOSCH, I am glad you recorded the conversation with my cleaning lady as you had no right to speak with her about my business and to make her an offer on my range of 20% off. Bosch is selling cheap Chinese made appliances that are some of the most overpriced and poorest performing of any. Our dishwasher cost $900 and was rated highly by Consumer Reports, which is why we bought it. It is a terrible dishwasher and now, after 18 months, it wont drain the rinse water. Called Bosch customer service and was told to google YouTube to find a fix. So I did and went through the videos of many, many other Bosch owners but in the end, none of their YouTube video solutions worked for my dishwasher. So, I bit the bullet and called an appliance repairman who came and fixed the problem after tearing apart most of the dishwasher. That cost me almost $200 and the repairman told me Bosch appliances are the worst hes ever seen in almost 30 years experience. He recommended that I buy another dishwasher pretty soon.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Lowes in October of 2016. The configuration was somewhat clunky but we dealt with it. We followed all manufacturer recommendations for use and had no problems until April 2019. After loading it and running it the cycle ended before it should have, when I opened the dishwasher it was full of dirty water and the dishes were not clean. I checked the book and online. Followed the directions to empty the water and check the filters. There was nothing blocking the filter. I tried to run it again, stopped after 10 minutes again full of water. Again followed the steps. Called Lowes. Was told that since it was more than a year old I needed to contact Bosch. I contacted Bosch who claimed the problem appeared to be in the control module. They offered a few (3) Bosch Authorized Service Centers, I called the one that was only 30 miles away (closest), after 30 minutes on the phone with model number and serial number they told me the part I needed was no longer available and if I wanted a service call it was $100 up front and they could not get here for two weeks. My husband found the correct part online, ordered it from Bosch ($110 plus shipping), he installed it and the problem was still there. You turn on the dishwasher and it runs for 30 seconds, then claims it is sanitized. We then called a different repair company and they could not figure out what was wrong. We went back to Lowes hoping for at least the offer of a discount from a new dishwasher. No support, they said we should call a local appliance repair company to fix it. I told them I would call a local appliance company to sell me a new dishwasher. Apparently 30 months is the length of time a dishwasher is supposed to last. Very very disappointed with Bosch and with Lowes.

It cleans OK but lacks a good drying feature. I had a lower model previously and it worked much better than this higher end one. Silverware is still dirty at times, pans and glasses still wet. I love the light at the bottom showing its on because it is so quiet. It has a 3rd shelf, a variety of ways to arrange dishes by either leaving the tines up or down. It seems to be smaller than the older models. Very sleek, hidden controls. The light at the bottom showing it is on almost bleeds across the floor. The lower end model I had before didnt do this, just a red dot. Ive had this one exchanged and it still bleeds all over the floor. Just not up to snuff, like the older, less expensive model was.

We got a real nice deal from Lowes on a Bosch electric range. We had been looking all over for a new one during a slight remodel. Saw the range for approx. half price - clearance - and jumped on it... Our budget (or interest) really did not include thinking high-end. The range is great, with all the bells and whistles we wouldnt have gotten otherwise - quick heating ribbon elements, convection, roasting, and warming oven features, nice black glass finish. Plus, it gets light use from us two empty-nesters. Then about 2 months ago, the glass panel on the oven door just plain fell off! (How can anyone make something that just sits there and then falls apart!?) Luckily, it didnt break. Upon investigation, wifey found a screw in the storage drawer but there are 3 screw holes holding it on via bottom brackets. Looked to me as though the other 2 screws had never been put in. Not only I, but my PhD Mechanical Engineer son-in-law, could not figure out how to get the panel back on... After fooling with it for 2 weeks, I finally bit the bullet and pretty much disassembled the entire oven door to get it back together. During this ordeal, the plastic strip on the top of the door also broke. It now awaits my precision application of super glue to fix. Havent done that yet just because Im sick of fooling with the thing. I will say that during this deal, I called the Bosch hotline for some expert advice, and the guy I spoke to was as friendly and compassionate as any of his breed I have ever dealt with. But even though we both had the same web page in front of us, he cheerfully admitted he was clueless as to how to get the panel back on. All he could suggest was replacing the entire oven door, even though he agreed that that was overkill for the problem which compared to the Bosch dishwasher we bought about a year and a half ago (i.e., now out of warranty)... well, I only thought I knew what an appliance problem was until I met the Bosch SHE3AR5XUC!! It will not drain completely. The detergent will not dispense. The dishes will not dry, let alone sanitize. It is noisy... It is a **. According to my web-based research, I can take it apart and see if something is stuck in the pump impeller, and take more apart and replace or somehow fix the detergent dispenser... Oh, yeah, thats me. Like so many other posters here, we felt pretty good about ourselves having a kitchen with so-called high end appliances. Instead, we feel as though we got suckered into thinking life would be a breeze with the wonderful Bosch stuff in our all-electric dream kitchen. I intend over the next few days to visit the big-box retailer we got our D/W from and state that the only remedy is total replacement. I doubt they will go for that. I will then go to another big-boxer and buy a new D/W. My advice to anyone who has read this far and is considering getting a Bosch anything... your life is too short and your time too valuable to roll the Bosch dice.

My father purchased a Bosch tankless water heater about 18 months ago. He had a professional plumber install the tank to the specifications that the factory mandates. The unit never did work properly. After hours on the phone with tech support listening to every reason in the book why it wasn't "their" fault , and hundreds if not thousands of dollars spent on a plumber they still will not honor their warranty and replace the unit. The problem with the unit is that whenever you turn on the cold water to make the water warm instead of scalding, the heater shuts off completely leaving you with ice cold water. The factory techs tell us that there is not enough water coming into the unit. Ok easy fix right "just tell us how much water is required". O wait the "tech" isn't allowed to suggest anything like that. My father is so frustrated he wants to take the unit outside and shoot it with a rifle. If there is a class action we want in!!!!!! I must leave the door open overnight for it to dry. A service call resulted in my being told that this is the nature of the beast. I have never had a dishwasher that required me to leave it open all night long to have dried dishes. It washes the dishes but does nothing else. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher and about a year later, a Bosch washer and dryer. After 4 years with the dishwasher, the water no longer was hot. We telephoned the company we purchased it from and they referred us to a repairman. Bosch only certifies certain companies to do their repairs. Unfortunately, this company wasnt really easy to work with. They did eventually come out to the house. After a prolonged conversation with a Bosch representative, it was determined the internal water heater was bad. The part was ordered. It took three months for the part to come in and eventually get replaced. When the part was put in by the same company and the machine turned on, the board indicated it would take 367 minutes to wash an empty load of dishes. The representative left and indicated the machine would have to be reset. Well the next day, I phoned them back. The machine ran the 367 minutes but no hot water. They sent a different repairman and Bosch wasnt willing to accept they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. They did eventually replace the motherboard and the machine is currently working. The washing machine, after 3 years of use and with only 2 people in the family, started rocking and my husband saw sparks on the inside of the wash tub. We were told it could not be repaired. We couldnt dump it fast enough. Dryer still worked but it took over an hour to dry a regular load of clothes. The machine didnt clean well and the dryer often left clothes damp even though the moisture sensor had been checked twice. Bosch is highly overrated and they must pay their vocal advocates a lot of money. We wont even consider a Bosch in the future.

I purchase a Bosch gas range in Dec 2019. We started smelling gas last week and had to call 911 and PSE&G. The issue was tracked to the oven and Bosch said they will send a technician. They said the earliest appt they had was 4 days out. I called them again as the smell was progressively getting worse. I escalated again and they agreed to send local Bosch certified technician. The technician arrived promptly and found that the safety valve was defective and he had to order the parts from Bosch. Bosch said 5-7 business days (and this a gas leak issue) and I was again on the phone trying to covey the urgency. I was stuck between the installer and Bosch and I am the Consumer. Bosch finally agreed to overnight the part to my address and the installer was scheduled to fix it today. I called Bosch today for a tracking number and they said they dont have one!! I also found out that they have shipped the part to the technician! Still no part and plenty of gas smell. Bosch customer is very inefficient and they really dont care about the safety of their customers. I would never buy a Bosch appliance again. It doesnt matter how good their products are.
