Bosch 500 series 44-decibel - I purchased the Bosch model SHP65T52UC in January 2015. I love the 3rd drawer for silverware, and that it has a 30 minute wash cycle if I want to use it. What I dont like is that I find it hard to place my dishes and have to be careful with tall glasses or they will hit against the 3rd shelf. Also, I noticed that it harbors moisture because there is no drying element inside and after a day there is a bad order like rotting garbage so I have to wipe down the sides and back or leave the door open so it dries. At the time, Bosch offered free installation so I got a refund in the form of a prepaid Visa card. It worries me about all the negative reviews, but so far so good. I purchased through Lowes which has great customer service and installation people.

Wed just purchased and installed a Bosch Ascenta (top marks from CR) when my husband got transferred. It was pricey but worth, so we opted to move our new appliance with us. No issues for a couple of years, then it stopped draining, wasnt under warranty etc. Since we werent sure how long wed be in our house we opted for less expensive brands - went through three before our big kitchen remodel. Went back to Bosch - unit was as outstanding as our first until we had to unhook it make so adjustments during the remodel. Since being reinstalled, it doesnt drain. We get an E25 error and have to run rinse cycles to force it to drain. It smells - like celery? Maple syrup? And the filters which I clean after every cycle are loaded with debris - and we pre-rinse!? Still under warranty I called Bosch. Since we dont live in a metropolitan area, they referred me to an approved Bosch service provider in lieu of sending a Bosch tech. Called their suggested provider and was advised that Id have to pay $100 for them just to come out even though this is a Bosch warranty call. Seriously? I already dropped $800 and now I have to shell out for something that should be fully covered by the warranty? Next washer wont be a Bosch.Updated on 05/07/2018: The grimy clean dishes and the awful stench had me biting the bullet and accepting the ridiculous service call charge. Service tech was at our house for less than half an hour and had to call Bosch Tech Line for help - between the two they decide its a defective wash pump. $490 to fix + $100 to diagnose = more than we paid for the unit (was a sweet Black Friday deal). Figured wed just buy a new unit until I was flipping through the owners manual and noted that this unit carried the Good Housekeeping Seal which guaranteed to refund or replace any defective product within the first two years of ownership. When I was finally able to get an answer from GH I was told that Bosch no longer carried the GH Seal but that theyd forwarded my info on to Bosch. I was surprised when Bosch contacted me, and upon my supplying proof of purchase and the service techs invoice, agreed to repair the washer at no charge to me and refund the $100 service call charge. I had such high hopes. Two weeks later, with a new genuine Bosch replacement part in hand, Mr. Service Tech installed the new wash pump and leaves telling me its all good. I run a cycle with no dishes and what do you know - E25! Mr. Service Tech comes back out and is on the phone with the Bosch Tech department again. Actually overheard him getting pointers on how to spin this to being our fault i.e., we installed the dishwasher incorrectly!?! Our dishwasher is routed directly into the waste water line in the basement, not into the kitchen sink (which drains in to the same waste water line) - so heres his analysis of the situation: Modern dishwashers dont have enough power to expel water down (to the pipe below the unit) and are made to push the water to the sink (through tubing fed through the nearby cabinets and UP into the disposal). So they can defy gravity, despite being low energy? He doesnt know why were only getting the error sometimes but thinks maybe theres an air bubble and the reason were able force drain is that enough water pressure builds up that its finally able to clear. Maybe theres something stuck in the drain pump - couldnt explain why he didnt check that the first time he came out - and didnt do it this time either!? Cant explain why the dishwasher worked for six months. Tells us to disconnect the dishwasher drain hose from the waste water line and set it up to drain into a 5 gallon bucket. Run a cycle and if the water drains into the bucket there should be no E25 error and proof that it wasnt correctly installed. Call him if that doesnt work.SO...we do it and we ran every conceivable cycle on after the other - no breaks - drained every time, but 50% of the time there was significant water left in the washer and the E25 error. Called Mr. Service Tech this morning. Was told that either hed call us back or the service company would call once they determined what to do. My bet is nothing. But, were not out anything, and we wont be buying a Bosch again!

I purchased a $1500.00 Bosch Stove HEIP054C-01 5 years ago. Within a year I had to have the panel replaced with the Stove knobs on it because the burner markings and high to low settings decals/markings had worn off. Now after 4 years these markings have worn off again. I feel that this is a fire hazard as it’s difficult to tell which burner I am turning on and often get the wrong one. I called Bosch and they said that they don’t have replacement decals like a lot of other appliance companies and that it would cost $500.00 to replace the whole panel again.I am truly disappointed that they don’t have a cheaper, easier fix. I will not be replacing the panel as it is too expensive. When I bought the stove I also bought a Bosch microwave, fridge and dishwasher. I can honestly say that I won’t be buying Bosch again for my next appliances. They are beautiful but really not great for Value for money and replacement parts which shouldn’t be needed after only 4 years are extremely expensive. Please stay away from this model and save yourself some headaches.

There is a class action attorney interested... Bosch didnt recall their hazardous (bursting into flames!) dishwashers until a suit was filed. Similar issue here with brand new Bosch double convection oven--control panel and knobs became scalding the first time we used it. It took over two hours for the control panel and knobs to cool down. We keep it shut off at the breaker because the technician said it was just a glitch. Bosch told us if the technician says its safe to use your oven its safe to use your oven--but they refuse to warranty any damage to our kitchen (hello--our us!) if theres a future problem. Theyll just replace the oven--I guess after it burns down your kitchen. Make sure you report the problems on Consumer Advocacy site so others can be aware.

We purchased our Bosch Dual Fuel Range about 8 years ago. We had problems with the gas igniters that was not fixed properly by the authorized service. I eventually fixed it. Recently, the stove started burning the food. The service identified the problem as a failed relay board. Bosch shipped the wrong part, so we had to wait about a month for the correct shipment and repair. On a supposedly high quality item there should not be failures like this. If there are, they should not cost an arm and a leg. The most recent repair costing close to $500.

The stainless steel front of the range oven (which must weigh about 5 lbs) which covers the entire door came off and almost broke my toes. The range trim plastic piece which holds the glass onto the oven front broke. We had Sears come out to fix it and they said it was loose and screwed it back on. Then the glass front again fell off, luckily when I was not there. Then we bought $200 worth of new plastic trim pieces and screws from Bosch authorized dealer. Again, the front of the heavy stainless steel door came off. Now, Im just throwing this horror range oven which wants to cut my toes off. It is no longer repairable and I wished I never spent the $200 worth of parts to try to get it fixed. Whatever you do, do not buy the Bosch Gas freestanding range HGS445UC/02 if you don’t want your toes broken.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in April 2012 and have had nothing but trouble with it, even having the repairman out. Thank heavens I purchased the extended warranty. It doesnt dry at all. When the repairman came, he said that I had to open the door to let out the steam so that it would dry. What? You want me to get up in the middle of the night to open the door? I use the dishwasher soap that was supplied with the washer, so thats not it. It has the rinse agent in. I have to wash my silverware by hand as I would never let anyone eat off them like they are when I take them out of the washer. They are good stainless steel. When you pull out the bottom rack, it falls off the track. Silverware container takes up too much space. My other one was in the door, it was a less expensive washer and I had it for 13 years and was still working, but I thought that I would get new appliances. Well good thing that I didnt buy all Bosch. I am not going to recommend this washer to anyone. I am very disappointed with this product.

Dishwasher control panel markings have all worn off after two years. So you no longer can see power buttons or different cycles. Filed a claim with Bosch like many other consumers have done. Bosch says that they will not cover it and claims it is cosmetic issue not a operating issue. It is an operating issue since you have to take out the manual to know which area to push to run the dishwasher since all of the print has worn off the control panel. I have noticed a lot of other consumers have had the same issue.

The second complaint, they set up a warranty service call a week out from my reporting it failed. Repair date came and went. They said they were overbooked, but would be happy to put us on the list in a week from now. I asked to be put next in line and they said, We cant inconvenience our customers like that. A circuit board manufacturing engineer told me after looking at the part that the Bosch cost is about $17 to build it. We got our Bosch dishwasher 2 weeks ago. It was very labor intensive to set up. Too many bells and whistles. Also we did have a problem with water accumulation. We were told to use the extra shine button. This works. However we have to make sure we are here when the dishwasher is done so we can open it right away to let out the steam. So we have to take the extra step of setting the timer. Also it takes a very long time- 2 1/2 hours for the cycle to get done with the auto button and the extra shine button. Also the amount of dishes you can put in seems small. The plus here is that the dishwasher is very quiet. We got the Bosch hoping for an energy efficient machine. We do have to rinse the dishes first so that also takes up extra water. Perhaps this is a good model if you are a caterer, but cumbersome for general household use. My old broken down dishwasher did a better job of cleaning and drying in half the time. Its actually easier for me to wash my dishes by hand unless we have company.

For decades now I have used and preferred Bosch products. Recently I have had an ongoing bad experience with a Bosch dishwasher that I bought last June from Sears. Last January it abruptly stopped working. It was under warranty so I contacted Bosch as Sears does not handle warranty issues. I was told to contact a local service provider. To my regret I called Appliance Marshall repair in Cary Illinois. The idiot they sent made 2 trips and was not able to figure out how to make the warranty repairs. Instead he claimed that water leaking from the brand new custom made to accommodate my new dishwasher had somehow leaked water that damaged the dishwasher, and that it was not covered by warranty. I told him that there was never any such event, and there was no water leak anywhere. The only source of water in that location was the dishwasher. I have pictures that show the floor discolorations and that the leak came from the dishwasher itself. There is no discolouration or drip line on the floor aside from the perimeter of the unit. But since this guy used up my 2 service calls I have to pay for some 3rd party to come out and fix my dishwasher. This has been going on for over 2 months now and I still cannot use my VERY expensive Bosch dishwasher. I should add that during both visits this creep made to my home he made me very uncomfortable by asking irrelevant questions, suggesting friends for repairs to the new home I am remodeling, and really strange behaviour. I hope these guys are subject to a successful criminal background check prior to being sent into peoples homes. Anyway, prior to his deciding and informing Bosch that he could not accomplish the warranty repairs, I called and emailed Appliance Marshall repair that he never be sent to my home again since he made me so uncomfortable. Since an accurate and verifiable diagnosis of this unit was never made I feel that I have a Bosch product in my kitchen that is a fire and electrocution hazard. I just want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Bosch.

SHX46A05UC/14
SHX46A05UC/14 Dishwasher, 2004, paid $ 1,600.00 Stopped draining water, developed endless cycle, finally started to fill up with the water overflowing to my newly renovated kitchen. The quality of the cleaning was degrading slowly, leaving residues on glass and dishes.Bosch certified service showed up for just over $ 75/h, looking and playing with the washer for 2 hours; diagnosed, well nothing, they check in fact the water drainage path and remover a rubber part from the pump section, saying that I dont need that, and that this was perhaps the cause of the problem. After over $150 for service call, (no parts replaced = no 30 days warranty for the service) !!!... The next day, well, we have exact this same issue, cycle takes hours, no full water drainage. Service call, week later, different technicians, diagnosed for new control unit and quote for over $350. (for $500 I can get new dishwasher today, but my old $1600 unit should work for years - or not). Called Bosch, same response as for all of the people below. They couldnt care less. The Customer service from the service company concluded that I would be better off buying a new unit ! Great, that much about my love for Bosch, and we have the whole kitchen furnished with that junk. After short internet research, I found people helping step by step with similar issues, so I did take apart my unit, opened the controller, and found that it has overheated and damaged connection. No, is not that one under the recall, the recall one must cause house fire I guess! Cleaning the connection and re-soldering it helped, partially, it works now as it use to, but still fills with fresh water after is done, so I have to cut the water intake. Conclusion: I would spend $350 for a new part or service and still have another issue!!! Now, I need to take the intake valve apart to see if this is the real problem. Slowly, I am getting a master degree on Bosch dishwashers, and I promise to never buy one again.

From the first day of unwrapping the dishwasher it had an awkward smell. After initiating use the smell worsened which led me to calling Bosch since it was under warranty, I explained that there was a really bad smell and while cleaning the filter notice that a small amount of water remained after each use. I assumed there was a drainage problem hence keeping water which would cause the smell. The customer rep was rude from the beginning and initially told me there was nothing they could do, after hashing it out she confirmed it was under warranty and scheduled a technician to come out. The tech checked it said it was running perfectly and that it is normal for a small amount of water to remain at the bottom. He told me to use liquid instead of powder or the small pacs. I have bought dishwasher cleaner, rinsed it with vinegar, Clorox and still it smells awful. I have another home and many friends with dishwashers and despite any reason they do not smell as much as mine... I am so unhappy. I hate using it, secondly it does not clean well. I am going to try to inquire about a refund. I will never buy a Bosch product of any kind for any of my homes. My Bosch dishwasher was purchased from Best Buy.

We just remodeled our kitchen. We really liked the Bosch Benchmark oven(s), the standard 30, the speed micro, and the steam oven, along with a warming drawer. We embraced their advertising showing these appliances all lined up along a wall, or lined up as well as one above another. Their literature touts the fact that they are all identical in appearance, backed up by the photos they display. We ordered our ovens (as well as the induction cooktop) last December for January delivery dates. Our cabinet maker had the ovens delivered to their location to be sure they built the cabinets to fit the ovens and warming drawer perfectly. We opted for a horizontal install as well as vertically - the standard oven top left with the speed micro to its right lined up horizontally. Below the standard oven is our warming drawer. Below the speed micro is the steam oven perfectly lined up vertically with the micro and horizontally with the standard oven and warming drawer. Then the electricians came out and wired them in. Immediately I noticed the number displays on the standard oven and the steam oven have large numbers in a very nice font, but the microwave has the old fashioned typical pixelated microwave numbers that I have on my old $85 dollar unit! I also noticed that the stainless steel panel that houses the controls are different in their construction! The microwave version looks cheaper! Bosch has spent a lot of money on the advertising concentrating on the type of install I have - lining your ovens up horizontally and vertically - they proudly state that they are identical! They are not! Through my appliance dealer I contacted Bosch hoping that, perhaps, since my micro was built in February 2014 there might be a later run that matched. There isnt. Their answer was, Well, if you dont like it, just turn off the display on the microwave! I am floored by this attitude! It seems quite reasonable to me to expect this very simple part of the construction of these ovens to match!! Our install arrangement even makes it look worse by putting the odd one between the better ones! Well, I am stuck with them now since we had custom cabinetry built to house them. All I can do is pass on the word. Thank you for reading this.

I, like many other people, had been brainwashed into thinking that German products were the best and that by buying Bosch, Id be buying a good product. Firstly, the Hedge trimmer seemed ok, used it once or twice until the third time it seized up and refused to work. I took it back to the shop I bought it from and was given a new one. That one too, seized up and blew the RCD in the house. The internals had fallen to pieces (cheap plastic). I took that back and got a Black and Decker instead. Worked brilliantly, and still does ten years on! Pressure washer next. Used once. Seemed ok. Not brilliant but average. Used a second time and the lance fell to bit spraying me in the face!!! Cheap and nasty plastics! Took it back and was given another one. Motor failed on that one after 2 months of average usage! Bosch? CRAP!

My Bosch oven developed a crack in the glass door. Contacted customer services to explain the problem. They arranged for an engineer to call 4 days later between 8 & 5 pm. The engineer did not turn up till after 4.30 pm. He then confirmed a fault but said he could not fix it as he had no part. Checked on his laptop to discover the wrong part had been ordered anyway & was not booked out to any engineer. Proceeded to contact Bosch & was told a repair could not be arranged for another week. This meant I had no oven for two weeks. Really not on. In our sixties & I also provide meals for my elderly neighbour who suffers from Alzheimers. I needed a new dishwasher and decided to buy a Bosch because I have always thought this was a high-end equipment. I did buy the simple model that was highly-rated in Consumer Reports. The dishwasher is horrible! I have to wash the dishes before they go into the dishwasher, and sometimes when they come out, there is often what looks like soap residue on the dishes. Does the dishwasher not rinse? Pots with spillover dont get clean. Tea rings in cups dont come out. Im thinking about replacing this dishwasher!

Purchased B20CS30SNS fridge from Home Depot on March 2020 (in the peak of Pandemic) for my tenants who lives in the apartment. They delivered defect appliance. Tenants did not realize that water dispenser was not functioning well as they never use it before. As a landlord, I was not able to visit during the pandemic till October. I found out that the water is not running from dispenser plus ice are not producing. I contacted Bosch warranty department which took at least 1 hrs to speak. They sent technician in November and End of December. The Fridge is still not working. The valve in the back of the fridge has be to replaced. Im very upset and frustrating due to slow response. How could this brand new fridge need to replace the parts within 6 months? Very unreliable and handling customer complain unfairly.

I moved into a condo last April and the drum is already broken on the dryer. Theres clearly no user error involved, but Bosch is charging me $400 to fix it because they only support their products for 12 months. Its very likely that the drum was already cracked in the first 12 months and even if it wasnt, I advise people to avoid any company that refuses to stand behind their products. Run from Bosch!

Bosch service tech discovered a manufacturers defect in my new dishwasher model number SHEM63W55N. My dealer submitted the request to replace immediately. The RA paperwork took 7 weeks. After spending the morning on the phone with the seller, I was told this model is not available. When I called Bosch, the customer service informed me that they have closed the issue and that they are done. No suggestions or offers to correct the issue and no apology for their delays. I have to hope that the seller will do what is necessary to correct the issue. Would have expected better and more compassion from their customer service people. I do not recommend Bosch if you want good customer service!

Purchased our Bosch Dishwasher in January 2020 and now, 6 1/2 months later it needs repair. Contacted Bosch Customer service to have an approved company come in for repairs and was given three local contacts. One did not service my area. The other told me it would take 4 weeks for someone to come out and service our dishwasher. I notified customer service of this poor response but was told that they could nothing do about this. They blamed it on Covid. Called my Bosch authorized dealer, who is not a Bosch authorized repair service, but who installed my dishwasher and they were able to put me on the schedule within 24 hours. The drawback: I got to pay and my warranty is no longer in effect. So warning to all: Bosch does not take care of their customers and their attitude towards their customers was borderline rude, extremely dismissive and smug. An all-around horrible experience.

Plastic control panel on Nexxt 500 dryer broke 1st year (2008). Replaced by Bosch. Repairman says it happens all the time. We moved 5 miles. Plastic doors on washer and dryer started cracking. Bosch claimed since we moved they no longer were under warranty. Two inch pieces are continually falling out on/off doors. Washer has never cleaned very good. When enough pieces fall off and seals on doors no longer hold, we will go back to Whirlpool if they are still around. Their products always lasted 10 years plus. Dont know how Bosch got the reviews that convinced us to spend that much money.

Three visits by an authorized tech to rule out problems with the door and gaskets resulted in his conclusion that the oven has a defect that it is a fire hazard as heat is going into the surrounding wall. Bought a Bosch Dishwasher from Currys; after a few weeks I felt it was not washing properly. I rang company sent out a repairman. He said its heating and the arms are turning so its fine. I showed him a stained mug which he took for examination. A few months later it still wasnt washing properly, rang again sent out another Bosch guy. He advised I should have bought elsewhere. Many phone calls to the UK followed. Finally UK said get onto Currys. I went into Currys and explained my situation: dishwasher doesnt wash properly and I cant used dishwasher tablets have to use powder. They were very helpful in the beginning but finally told me that Bosch UK said that their Engineer said it was fine. I have never dealt with such terrible Customer Services as in Bosch UK. They really dont have a clue but dont really want to know your problem. Sadly I have a Bosch washing machine and a Neff oven from the same house. I dread to think how they are going to pan out. It seems to me that Bosch will string you along until your warranty is gone. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH OR NEFF AGAIN AND I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE PEOPLE TO DO THE SAME. They are operating under a good name which they achieved and their stuff is now very poor quality. My advice: do as my sister did, buy the cheapest out there it really cant be any worse.

After spending $1,700 on the initial unit, an extended warranty, multiple repairmen visits and two magnetrons, our 14-month-old Bosch microwave caught on fire and is now deemed irreparable. Extended warranty people say we have to collect from Bosch. Bosch says we have to collect from extended warranty. Getting the run around from them both. We had this microwave installed for just over one year when we remodeled our kitchen, including creating a custom built-in location for this microwave. We now have a giant hole in our kitchen island and have been fighting with Bosch and the warranty people for months.Thankfully this diabolical machine didnt catch our entire house on fire. But nonetheless this product is a HUGE safety hazard and it should be pulled off the market (and poor suckers like those of us who purchased this machine should be compensated). We have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and asked to be included in a Class Action lawsuit that was recently filed. Protect your home and family -- do not buy a drawer microwave from Bosch!!

My Bosch combination microwave/convection oven just stopped working for the 5th time in 5 years, and my extended warranty just expired 5 days ago. I would NEVER recommend this appliance. I thought Bosch was a great brand name, but its been my experience that their ovens are inferior. The control panels went black each time and had to be replaced. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in Augus
I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in August 2009 from Freidmans Appliance in Pleasant Hill, CA. I had my last dishwasher, a Whirlpool for over 20 years without a single problem. Freidmans told me they were out of stock of the model that I originally ordered and substituted in the SHE45M05UC. I ordered the model just below this one. I noticed after I began using it that the rack continually got stuck even when I pushed it in very carefully. This caused many of my dishes to break when they clashed against each other as the rack jammed. I have a stack of cracked and chipped dishes, and have suffered a lot of damages. Freidmans did nothing to help me when I reported it to them. I didnt live in my house or use the dishwasher in 2010, I am the only one who uses it and I only run it about once a week or so. I also reported the problem to Purcell Murrays showroom in Brisbane and talked directly to one of the owners about it and he failed to replace the dishwasher. About a month ago towards the end of June, all of a sudden a huge amount of suds came poring out of the dishwasher as it was running. When I opened the dishwasher it was full of suds and full of water at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Freidmans and spoke to Shannon who told me she would call Bosch service center to see what could be done and she would call me the following day. She never called me. I left several messages for her yet she failed to return my calls. I recall back in 2009 when I talked to Steve, the man who sold me the faulty dishwasher - he never would return my calls and he refused to exchange the dishwasher when I reported the fault with the rack that always sticks. I went into Freidmans yesterday to follow up because Shannon had failed to call me as she said she would and had not returned my calls. The salesman Steve had a little smile on his face as I discussed the issue with Shannon. Shannon again said shed call me the next day which was Monday, yet she didnt call the next day. Today I called for Mathew **, the store manager, just as I did back in 2009. Mathew does not ever return calls. I was told by Shannon that Mathew would call me in a few minutes and now one hour later he has not called me. I called a couple of times asking for Mathew and he would not come to the phone. I have used the dishwasher no more than 200 times in the past years and most of the time it is only half full and I run it on light. Now it does not work at all!! You dont want to do business with Freidmans in Pleasant Hill, CA and definitely dont want to purchase Bosch appliances. I know there is a class action lawsuit against Bosch for their washer dryers and I bet there are enough consumers with dishwasher problems to support a suit for the dishwasher defects. Bosch does not support or stand behind their products and Freidmans doesnt either. In fact I have never experienced such inconsideration for customers as I have at Freidmans. They are just about making a fast buck and could care less if their customer is ripped off. What do you say?

Monday, November 06, 2017, I received by mail the Bosch Important Safety Recall Notice - Bosch Dishwashers letter regarding potential fire hazard. The dishwasher power cord can overheat and it was suggested to STOP using the appliance immediately if you have one of the affected models. I located my model and serial number and found that my dishwasher is affected by the 2017 recall expansion! I immediately went to the Bosch dishwasher recall registration Web page. Based on the information provided and my address, I received a list (only one agency name was listed) of authorized service agents that would inspect and repair my dishwasher at no charge, along with a reference number. So far, so good! On that very same day, I contacted the repair agency, gave them the information requested and was told they will order the part, and when the part is received they will call to schedule the repair appointment, and told me that it would probably be by the end of the week. By the end of the business week, Friday, November 10, 2017, they never called. On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent to ask for update on repair request. I was told the power cord is now expected to arrive on Thursday, November 16, 2017, and the repair will be scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2017, between 8AM - 5PM. I was also told the repairman will call me the day before, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, to narrow down the time within a two hour window for Fridays repair. On Friday, November 17, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent since their repairman was a No Call, No Show. I was told that the repair has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2017 and that the part is still not in but should be in today or Monday the 20th. And, the repairman will call me on Monday, November, 20, 2017 with the time window for the Tuesday, November 21, 2017 repair. Maelynn, the service agent apologized for not calling to inform me and was not sure who even changed the repair schedule from November 16th to the 21st. Well, it is now Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and I still have NO dishwasher repaired, NO date for a repair, UNABLE to use the dishwasher, Thanksgiving is tomorrow and all the dirty dinner dishes will have to be washed the old fashioned way...by hand. Thanks Bosch for a less than stellar customer service response from your authorized service agency technicians.

I purchased this washer to replace a failing stacked washer/dryer combo. I bought the Bosch set because the dryer is ventless and this just fits my townhouse better. First off, this washer is designed to plug into the back of the matching dryer (Only one 240V outlet is needed!) So far so good with this washer's results. It is very quiet and efficient. The matching dryer, while ventless still dries VERY well. I am surprised as Bosch's claim of only 8% slower than a vented dryer seems to be very accurate. This washer is designed to fit 10-14lbs of laundry per load and I can attest this is accurate and is efficient while washing and drying. The dryer will take some getting used to and messing around with the proper settings but once you figure it out it's a cinch! This is an absolutely GREAT product.

After 2h 45mins on the phone and talking to 10(!) separate people with Wayfair and Bosch trying to get the dishwasher I ordered last Wednesday, that was supposed to arrive on Friday, that I then had to call to find out why it wasnt delivered on Friday, only to be told it was on a truck and could be delivered Sat, but Sat didnt work for us so the next available date was today (Wednesday - 5 days late), only for them to now tell me (after having to call back to find out why I hadnt heard anything about delivery), that there is no dishwasher until at best (!) early November!! I am APPALLED at the customer service from both Wayfair and Bosch in not stepping up to solve THEIR problem. When I called Bosch directly, they told me they couldnt talk to me and that I had to call Wayfair back (yet again). Complete runaround. Ultimately I was told that I should just cancel my order and order something else (like this was my fault!) without any offer to resolve the issue. And finally after 10 people, I still have no real sense if Bosch actually has any dishwashers in stock anywhere. We recently purchased this fridge/freezer KGV36VW32G. There are several issues: 1. The manual is very poor with lots of words but very little information, for example the freezer temperature is controlled by the fridge settings so how do we know what the freezer temperature is? 2. The outer skin is very flimsy. Already got a dent on the door with normal use. 3. The LED light cannot illuminate the inside of the fridge when the fridge has produce in it as the light is badly situated. 4. The doors are difficult to close and have to be pushed quite hard to make a seal. 5. Coupled with 4 above there is no alarm if the doors are not closed. Already lead to one freezer defrost. 6. The ice cube tray and egg rack supplied are not fit for purpose. Ice cube tray too small and lid did not fit after one use, the egg rack is too small and only holds 4 eggs. 7. Generally the appliance is of poor quality and not good value for money.

I purchased a Bosch gas stove and dishwasher 18 months ago as part of a home remodeling project. Within weeks of installation the symbols on the stove knobs indicating what burner they corresponded to had virtually worn away. I had the plate replaced and within a few months they had worn away again. I have used no cleaning product on the stove other than stainless steel cleaner - now I just live with the fact that people have to figure out what burner theyre turning on by trial and error. Within months the electrical components of the oven also began to malfunction. The oven would preheat but if it were left on for a while (while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, for instance - yes, that happened) the oven would spontaneously go dead - the digital display as well as the heating element. Switching off the circuit breaker and turning it back on again did nothing. I had the circuit board replaced (it was still under warranty) and a few weeks later the same thing happened (again, during a party when I was doing a lot of cooking). Long story short, it took 6 months and several service calls to resolve the problem. Now the oven works but the clock loses hours almost daily - I have to constantly re-set it. (Again, I just live with this - apparently having a stove clock that works is too much to ask.) The dishwasher has been just as bad. A wine glass apparently broke during a washing cycle and a 1 shard of glass got through the filter and into the pump. (Like this has never happened before in anyones kitchen? The filter system underneath the dish rack should be designed to prevent hard objects like a piece of glass from getting into the pump.) The dishwasher is 18 months old. I just spent $250 dollars for a new pump. I will never, ever buy a Bosch appliance again. I had a Frigidaire dishwasher in my old house and never had a service call in 10 years. For supposedly higher-end appliances, Boschs engineering and attention to detail is absolutely pathetic. I would give them a 0 for reliability. The local appliance outlet I bought these from has been extremely prompt about coming to my home for service calls, and very apologetic about my complaints. I dont blame them - I place the blame entirely on the poor quality of the appliances themselves.

Our Bosch fridge/freezer is less than four years old, yet the handles both top and bottom developed cracks and then sheared off. Bosch was not interested as they said out of guarantee. Their resolution was to purchase replacements. I thought that one should expect a decent amount of time using an appliance before it broke like a cheap toy. Bosch appliances are not cheap to buy. I have never had this happen before as we keep our white goods for a very long time and they wear out mechanically. One expects an item to be fit for use and this does not come under that category. The people I spoke to said a manager would phone me back within 3 hours. That was two weeks ago and I have heard nothing from them. If they care so little for their customers, I would suggest not buying a Bosch item.

My experience has been sooo baddd with Bosch customer service. So, we build our home and one my friend recommend me to get Bosch Appliances so I did. I order my kitchen appliances with bosch back in May. I didnt received my appliances in July so I couldnt do closing on time due to not having my appliances and get inspection done before I moved to my new home. Which I was like okay due to Covid I understand. Here is the worst part. So the day I closed on my home and start using my appliance. Happen to find out that my Microwave and my dishwasher is not working. Brand new out of box. So I called bosch customer service in July the day after I closed on my new house and explained them the both appliances are not working.I was given a number to call for service repair which I did and they told me 3 weeks wait for them to come out due to COVID which again I was okay no problem. Its COVID. Understandable. They came to my house after 3 weeks and told me that they have to order part for microwave and suggested me to call bosch customer to replace it because it would make more sense since he visited cost $1246 this time and next time would be about same and told me that if he doesnt hear back from bosch he will be back in 3 weeks again. So I called Bosch back and explain the whole thing. I was told they made ticket (wrong ticket where they combined microwave and dishwasher) and the rep told me they send the ticket to management to review and will send the replacement.I called after 2 weeks AGAIN and the rep told me that they didnt proper format from the service company so I make three way call and explain them that bosch need special format for exchange. Service provider send it to bosch and bosch rep was like, Yup got it. Since bosch didnt reach out to me or the company the service guy came and said he have to order another part and will be back 2 weeks again. This visit was again $1246. So I called bosch again and find out whats going on and went through the same thing report format is not acceptable by management company. At this point, we paid $2800 for service and I bought this microwave around $1800.00. Didnt understand why bosch didnt see that because he will back again and will cost another $1200.00 so at this point we paid double than what microwave cost. So I called again a week later is same story. They dont have the proper format from the service provider. So here I am stuck with microwave because I can return it anymore since my purchase month was in May and here I am still waiting for bosch management to review in End Of August. The worst customer service ever. I called them more than 10 times since July to August and stayed on the phone for more than 2 hours going around and around. Every time I called my phone timed was more than 2 hours.

After extensive research on the best dishwasher on the market we found that it was Bosch. We purchased one on 1/30/16 from Sears. Upon delivery they told us that the fact that we were told and there was a sign on the dishwasher we bought that we would get a supply of Finish dishwasher tablets that it was a mistake. I was told to call and deal with Bosch on it did not get anywhere with it. Sears had to come back because it was not hooked up properly before I could actually use it. After getting it hooked up it worked good for the few months we used it. We are only in the property it was installed in a maximum of 5 months. The dishwasher began giving us an E20 code and when we looked it up online it said pump or motor problem. I called for service first at Sears and was told it would be 2 weeks at least before service. Called Bosch and they gave us a number and was told the same thing 2 weeks at least. Went online to chat with Sears and was told that the pump and motor had at least a 2 year warranty. Today repairman came said the pump is bad and that the warranty would not cover. They told us to call Bosch directly to talk to them and have been trying all day but cannot get anyone to answer. I am put on hold saying I will be helped by next available person and stay on hold but eventually I am cut off. Frustrating. This dishwasher cost way more than others but we were willing to do it thinking it would be the last one we buy. After hardly using it we are told repair will be between $400 and $500. It is not acceptable. Hopefully eventually someone at Bosch will answer and take care of us but cannot continue calling week after week. It is already going on 3 weeks without the dishwasher we only use a few months anyway.

Our old dishwasher pump failed after 17 years, so we decided to replace the dishwasher. I spent a lot of time investigating different appliances, and we decided to go with a Bosch. It hasnt turned out so well. First, we had constant horrible smells coming from inside the dishwasher. We contacted Bosch, but they didnt advise of any fixes. We saw on the internet that this was a common issue with Bosch (after we owned it). We did finally find a solution by changing the location of the drain line and where it ties in to the garbage disposal. I would have thought Bosch could have offered that fix, but they didnt. The second event has been disastrous. Theres a valve on the bottom of the dishwasher, not sure if it is the drain discharge valve or a water inlet valve. We wont know until the repair person that Bosch is sending takes a look. We accidentally discovered that the valve has failed and is leaking (again, we are seeing this complaint on the internet now). This valve failure has ruined our hardwood floors as well as the finished ceiling in the room below. We wont know how extensive the damage is or if mold is present until we pull up the hardwood floor. We are guessing that theres thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to remove and replace the floor and the ceiling below. I have no idea what mold remediation cost could be if we discover theres mold. I thought I was getting a high end appliance that would be trouble free. I would have saved money by replacing the pump in the old dishwasher. Since this seems to be a common problem, Im surprised that Bosch didnt contact us to replace this valve versus allowing a faulty part to ruin our home. Bosch has opened a claim for us and is sending a person by to inspect. We will see how good their customer service is with regard to this issue. More to follow.

Purchased a Bosch 500 dishwasher from Lowes in June 2020, after a few weeks something in the door broke and door when opened made a pop sound and the door fell completely to the floor! Instead of returning it to Lowes I pursued calling Bosch warranty services for in home repair. They came and replaced a rope inside the dishwasher that lowered the door. A few weeks later it broke again! Repairman came out, ordered another rope and said he would be back when part came in. Weeks later they returned and repaired it again. A couple weeks later it broke again! Repairman came and said company said to replace the rope with a roller? A couple weeks later, you guessed it, it broke again! I called Bosch and told them I wanted them to replace the dishwasher that it was ridiculously unusable! I had to wait for them to approve replacement of the dishwasher which was a few more weeks, in fact I had to call them numerous times, each time waiting an hour or more on line, then was asked to email proof of purchase which I did. Two weeks later still no response, I called again waiting over an hour on line, to be told they didnt see my email, so I made them stay on line while I resent it to them, I said I wanted to speak to management and they said no one was in the building, then I was told I would be transferred to management on the phone. After about an hour on the phone, they found my email and said I needed to wait on management to approve replacement, I said, I thought you were management, she said yes but it has to be reviewed! To try to shorten this complaint it was back I believe in October when I first called to replace this unit, it is now Jan 21 and I am still waiting. I called them today 1/9/21 and was told there was nothing on my account to update me with.

We purchased this Bosch model brand new about 2.5 years ago. We noticed intermittent cooling problems even during the first summer of use when it was hot outside but they were intermittent and therefore impossible to diagnose. At the end of this June the freezer compartment went up to 40 degs (it was 12 hours before we noticed it because the system did not alarm as it was supposedly designed to do). A repairman diagnosed the problem as a slow low side leak requiring $1200 to repair (not including the diagnosis which was another $250). Considering its short life span, it seems to be highly likely that this was a defective refrigerator at purchase time. Technically it is 6 months out of mechanical warranty by calendar days if you compute time from purchase to complete failure. However, anyone taking an honest look at this situation would conclude that the problem causing this failure started during the warranty period and Bosch should take responsibility for repairing it. As this problem seems to be posted fairly frequently I think it should be the subject of a legal action against Bosch. At the very least I advise anyone reading it to do a frequency search for this complaint and re-think the BOSCH purchase in lieu of a more reliable product.

I bought a brand new Bosch. It had a small dent on the front of the door so I was able to get it at a discount. When I got it home it did not work. All of the cooling tubes were twisted inside the refrigerator. The repairman came three times and all three times he said Bosch should replace it. I have called them every day and they never call me back. After three weeks of arguing about the price I paid for the fridge, They finally said they will replace it. I called again today after the fourth week of waiting and they now say its under review again. DO NOT BUY BOSCH!!!

I bought a Bosch Dishwasher model Avantixx SMS53A02GB/01 three years ago. After three years used only for domestic purposes i.e. once a day, the machine started leaking water on the bottom side. Following the heating system broke down and the Bosch engineer suggested not to repair the machine as it will have costed more than the actual value. How can a RELIABLE manufacturer like Bosch produce a bad product like the Avantixx and also charge you £100 for letting you know that it has broken down beyond repair in just three years? Shame on them. I will not advise anyone to buy one of their dishwasher machine.

When we remodeled our kitchen, we decided to research and upgrade to higher end appliances. The Bosch was highly rated. Its so quiet, we have to make a serious effort to hear if its running when we are standing right next to it. Looks great and appears very well made.

First I will say I love the swing doors. However, after purchasing the top of their line double oven I am very disappointed in the quality and service from Bosch. The seller I purchased this from initiated a customer service call and they did send out a repair person to look at the oven. He took pictures and said the cavity is unrepairable. After calling them again to get a final response they said the oven works fine and it is only cosmetic. I agree, but this is not minor cosmetic. The entire bottom of the oven is discolored, looks like finish is peeling off. Inside of oven looks 20 years old after 1 1/2 years.

I bought this dishwasher based on customer reviews. I like the washing performance of this dishwasher, and the lighted controls…especially that it tells me how many minutes are left on the chosen cycle and when it is finished. It is also very quiet. There is one thing that frustrates me and that is the design of the lower rack. The tines are placed so that it can accommodate 12 place settings (according to the instruction manual). Few, if any, people have need for this on a daily basis. What is needed for families is capacity for place settings combined with serving bowls, mixing bowls, and cooking utensils. However, the tines are positioned so that this is very difficult and requires running the dishwasher more frequently or doing more hand washing. (My previous dishwasher was much more accommodating of a variety of dishes and pans.)I wrote a letter to the manufacturer with my concerns and asked if there is an alternative bottom rack. I got a callback but was unavailable. The message was that they would call back. Never happened. I called the number in the instruction book twice, each time the representative said she would have another person call me back...never happened. I thought Bosch was a top of the line brand and expected better service than this. At this point I would never recommend this brand to anyone. Model SHEM63W56N/13.

I have had my Bosch dishwasher for two years now. Last October (after having it for 14 months) I finally figured out what was on my dishes when I removed them from the dishwasher after running them through the cycle. IT WAS MOLD. I called Bosch, I wrote to Bosch - finally they agreed to send someone out to check out my dishwasher for which I would be responsible for paying the service fee. At first I agreed and then phoned them back and said I would not pay it as I felt the dishwasher was still considered new. They did eventually send someone out - a 19 year old boy who walked into the house knowing what my problem was. He said this happens a lot because people dont bother to clean out the food trap at the bottom of the dishwasher and the accumulating food is causing the mold. Hmmm. Well, he took my dishwasher apart and surprise! There was nothing in the trap. I did not bother to tell him that I thoroughly rinse all the dishes/silver before placing it in the dishwasher. He did not know what to say so he just said he would get back in touch with Bosch. He said possible it needed a new control board. Well after going back and forth with Bosch - and tossing out ALL my dishes, silver and glassware due to it being infected with the black mold - I was told to run it through a clean cycle using a solution. I did this and was afraid to use my dishwasher in case it came back... Well, this morning when I unloaded the dishwasher - ITS BACK! Im not even going to try again - I will go out this weekend and buy a different brand. Now my microwave that I bought at the same time - has gotten steam under the glass on the front door for the longest time. Noticed a few months ago that the plastic around the outside of the window is cracked in two places. Will I ever purchase another Bosch appliance? NEVER!

We purchased four Bosch appliances in January 2011 and by November 2011, there was rust on them. Our fridge looked like someone sprayed the rust on it. It is that bad. We contacted Bosch and they sent a service person to look at it and confirmed the problem. He said that the appliances werent 100% Stainless steel because he tested it with a magnet and there was some magnetic attraction. Anyway, he then tried cleaning it per his instructions from Bosch and the rust remained. We contacted Bosch about what the service man said and then was told that the appliance were only warranted for 30 days for cosmetic defects and we should try cleaning it again. We tried cleaning again this time using a very fine steel wool. Some spots were removed but still left a residual stain but many, many spots the rust remained. We then contacted Bosch again. They asked us to send pictures and then they offered to give us 50% off replacement parts as their solution to the defective appliances we paid full price for. This is not the answer we expected from a company who sells what they call top of the line appliances. We were told that the problem of rust was because our condo is on the ocean in FL I cant believe that everyone living on coastal America has had rust problems on their appliances with in a year of purchase. Our Floridian neighbors dont seem to have this problem with other brands. Also we had purchased Bosch appliances for our CT home in 2007and have no rusting problems and we live a block from the sea. I read on rekitchen.com that Bosch warranties against rust on dishwashers. This obviously is not true. From what Ive read here, Bosch does not live up to their reputation!

Looks like we had a small electrical fire. The breaker wasnt tripped. It has scared the absolute ** out of me. Has anyone else had this problem? My daughter and son in law bought a new home 7 years ago and bought top of the line appliances. They no longer had their washer with 3 children to do laundry and the front panel cracked. They had a service man come from Midland appliance around 11 times to change this panel. My daughter and son-in-law work. So someone had to be available to let the service man in. I complained and thought it fair for inconvenience plus unacceptable poor quality of a washing machine. Bosch didnt seem to care. So this story ends with I would not purchase any Bosch appliances when I had to replace mine and my daughter has purchased the same set of course newer and it is DEFINITELY not a Bosch. Service was good from Midland but Bosch would not stand behind their name. I tried to help them as very busy parents with identical twin boys and a beautiful granddaughter.

It’s been a year since my ice maker has stopped working. I called them to schedule a repair, I paid $1500 for a new part, the repair guy gets here, completely breaks my freezer. Now I need to throw away all my produce and wait another 2 weeks until someone gets here to fix what he broke. I year later...my ice maker is still not fixed, I have had Bosch technicians come here once a month with a new part they promised would fix my problem. (I just want to clarify that every time they are supposed to come here I take a days off of work to wait for them.) Last time Mr ** The technician gets here he simply looks at the fridge for 5 mins and says the ice maker is broken and there is nothing he can do, and he leaves - I took another day off from work to wait for him.I call Bosch customer service again (I already remember their number by heart. We have a relationship for a year now.) asking for my money back for the parts I paid for that were completely unnecessary, I also notice that my door is breaking and it needs fixing. Customer Service tells me that they need to send another technician to make sure that there really isn’t anything that they can do and then they can only refund me the money back and that they will order new parts for my door that is breaking. This was three weeks ago. The day the technician is supposed to arrive I get a call in the morning, just add that I did take the day off from work again to wait for them, I got a call in the morning from the technician telling me that the part for the door never arrived and that they need to make an appointment for another three weeks, Let me just add that my door is really about to fall off and I will not have a fridge if it does.I never write bad reviews and I’m not an angry person but Bosch has treated me so badly and so unfairly, Their customer service is The worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. They will not try and get you earlier appointments all they say is that they are sorry and that there’s nothing we can do. The only place that I can complain is here and I don’t know what else to do and now I have to wait another two weeks for somebody to come here and fix my fridge which will never get fixed at this point and I will never get my money back for all the parts that I paid for in the past year to fix my fridge. I have lost all hope and I know at least to never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever buy any Bosch appliances ever again just to not have to deal with customer service and technicians. So... Im standing in the kitchen around 11 pm, watching a soccer game, getting ready to take the dog out. The bottom oven was on Proof at 95 making yogurt. I hear pop! pop!, look over at the 6-year old Bosch double oven. Flame is coming out of the vent at the top left of the oven. I walk over & blow on the flame. It goes out but is still smoking so I get the fire extinguisher & spray the vent a couple times. I spend the next hour or so cleaning up white powder that spread a lot further than I would have expected. Next day I call the local Bosch Certified Technician. We pull the ovens out so we can see the control boards behind the control panel at the top. Main control board has four melted relays as well as a bundle of burnt wires. Tech says he is going to recommend the oven be replaced instead of repaired, that there is probably more damage that will show up later and we will never trust this oven again. Tech takes a picture to send to the Bosch regional rep along with his report & says to call Bosch customer service. CSR says they need a copy of the original sale receipt. Of course, we cannot find it. I send the original packing sheet and call again. Different CSR says she will see if they can find it in their system & gives me the File #. Call again & CSR says they have enough info so it has been submitted to upper management, should have response in a couple days. The response: Bosch will replace the oven with the current equivalent model prorated. That means if we pay them $1649.50 (half the MSRP) they will remove the burnt oven, ship & install a new oven. I say My oven should not start on fire! Bosch should replace it with an oven that wont burn up without cost. CSR says he will submit my request. 2nd response is the same. The oven was part of a Bosch package including stove top, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer, refrigerator & tankless hot water heater. The control board burst into flame & apparently Bosch has no interest in finding out why. We rejected Boschs offer & purchased a different brand.

After roughly 4 years my Bosch dishwasher SHE4AM16UC/03 stopped working. First, the detergent dispenser door stopped opening, then wash cycle would short into a few minutes of activity, no real washing, and going straight to the Clean light. Bosch advertises its warranty for parts as 5 years, which in all practicality is not usable, because to get a faulty part for free you have to have a technician over to diagnose the problem and make repairs. The price is $99 for a visit fee and $120/hour labor afterwards. In my opinion, Bosch does not provide efficient warranty support for its appliances. It should be clearly stated as 1 year, not 5 years for the above reason. The dishwasher is poorly made and is a disappointment. I had units that never required any services or repair in 30 years from different manufacturers. I will not buy another Bosch appliance and hope that my experience with this dishwasher and the company will help other buyers make informed decisions.

I expected 10 years of use (my last cooker lasted 20 years) but I get a measly 3 -3.5 years and Bosch think this is reasonable. I dont think thats good quality by a long stretch, and I dont see how or why Bosch should be known for their reliability.

I bought a Bosch refrigerator French Doors Model B26FT7 2 1/2 years ago. In less than three years, the refrigerator has failed three times. Each time the company had to dismantle the inside of the refrigerator in order to replace the entire ice making unit. Now I am waiting for a new ice making unit to arrive. Also the temperature inside the refrigerator is much higher than it shows on the control panel. On the panel it indicates that the temperature is 43 degrees, but an accurate thermometer I placed inside shows 34 degrees. I feel this refrigerator is simply junk. I would never buy one again.

My washer and dryer are 4 years old, and the dishwasher is 2 years old. The housing on all of the appliances is cracked, and those cracks are growing! As a retired couple, it certainly cannot be due to heavy wear and tear on our part. Of course, the warranties are now gone and so is our hard earned money. Bah! To Bosch! A quality product? According to price they should be; the reality differs. I am so angry that I want to take them to court...I want the company to act as if they truly did believe in their product and stand behind it and treat their consumers accordingly.
