I will replace this dishwasher in my house with another Bosch as the door was damaged slightly. The machine is some fifteen years old. I install Bosch in apartments I own. I have never had to repair or replace one. I remove waste food from plates but never rinse as Bosch make a dishwasher that works!

Great unit, top is gas, oven is electric, the oven is a convection oven, with many other choices to use, it is the best unit we have ever owned, it bakes, broils, control panel is easy to use and it maintains temp accurately, it also came with a baking and convection guide. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

I ordered a display circuit board for my Bosch oven. The display magically fixed itself by the time the part arrived, so I called Bosch to a coordinate return. My problem is with Boschs mandatory 25% restocking fee, and with the information I had to provide in order to secure my timely refund. The circuit board, the box in which it arrived in I never opened, cost $106. I paid $26.50 to restock a circuit board thats probably 1/8 thick, and 6 x 3 in size. Theres no effort to put this unused part back on the shelf. But it is what it is, and Bosch makes that clear in their return policy. While exorbitant, it wasnt a surprise. I just thought thered be more flexibility. After all, Im not returning a refrigerator. So as I moved through the return process, I had to provide a model number for the oven. If I didnt, the refunds would be delayed. I asked the representative why that mattered, and that it should have no bearing on my return. They have the part number, so that should be enough. I also commented that theyre charging me 25% to restock, so maybe they should figure that out. Representative was very polite, but said several times that her hands were tied. In the end, I provided much more information than is required to return the part, especially when considering theyre charging $25 to restock a circuit board whose connection to my return will be irrelevant when they sell it again. If Bosch is this complex and penalizing for their returns, I hate to think what happens when I have an actual problem with their products.

Also a push buttom from the ignition control panel is broken. No replacement part can be found because no longer being made. It was replaced once as a manufacturer recall soon as being purchased.

Before upgrading my kitchen appliances, did search on BOSCH Kitchen gas cooktops, found one had good reviews, after buying from LOWES, within few months, knobs getting hot, and even hotter once we cook more and more, both right and left hand side were getting extremely hot, even above we used to have microwave, under and handle both were getting so hot, unbelievable... we started getting burned 10 to 15times a year, I called Lowes, told us to contact BOSCH directly, I gave several terrible reviews so new customers stay away from this product, this is the most terrible product of BOSCH made, as last week, my wife got really burned by her finger tops try to turn-off the steel knob, and she got really burned for weeks, couldnt touch or grab anything from that finger. Today I am complaining to company and many others NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT. This is Worst product...that you cant imagine!!Thinking to hire lawyer and sue the company so, they will take this matter seriously and for other new customers not to invest in this non-safety, disaster product ever can come into the market to sell. MODEL: NGM8054UC /03. Serial: 931000088. - Wish this can help others to stay away and can save lives (if minor kids/adults/seniors -ALL touching the knobs in the house).

I have all 800 series appliances from Bosch that are all just 4 years old. Refrigerator is noisy, plastic shelves are cheap and break easily, and shelf spacing is limited - its hard to fit a gallon of milk in. Dishwasher: was very quiet and now sounds like there is a heavy storm in the kitchen when it is running. Plus the racks are weird and dont hold dishes well. You end up washing half loads all the time because otherwise plates touch each other in the rack. Double ovens: my wife sloshed some chicken drippings on the glass door when unloading it and the grease got between the glass panels. I called Bosch about the oven door issue and my warranty was up by sixty days and they refused to fix this under warranty. I have never had problems with appliances before (GE Hotpoint; Kenmore). I paid top buck for an All Bosch kitchen. Its all junk.

I bought a Bosch refrigerator French Doors Model B26FT7 2 1/2 years ago. In less than three years, the refrigerator has failed three times. Each time the company had to dismantle the inside of the refrigerator in order to replace the entire ice making unit. Now I am waiting for a new ice making unit to arrive. Also the temperature inside the refrigerator is much higher than it shows on the control panel. On the panel it indicates that the temperature is 43 degrees, but an accurate thermometer I placed inside shows 34 degrees. I feel this refrigerator is simply junk. I would never buy one again.

The convection wall oven has locked up and over heated 4 times in 6 years, once cremating a very expensive standing prime rib roast, the circuit board replaced twice. The microwave had its circuit board replaced and the dishwasher had to have its hinges repair. All on my dollar, even though the oven was just barely over 1 year old, the microwave was 2 and the dishwasher 4. Their customer service is the worst. For company that thinks it is high end it is just another overseas cheap piece of junk. Do not buy Bosch appliances.

I purchased a Bosch washing machine 2 years ago for my summer residence, have probably used it not more than 20 times and it doesnt work. The motor control unit needs to be replaced. I called Bosch and they informed me that they cannot help me since a Bosch certified repair man has not diagnosed the problem. I informed him that there are no certified Bosch repair men in my area which he confirmed!! But he cannot help me since a Bosch repair man has to diagnose the problem (and will charge me a service fee since the machine is not under warranty!). I told him two repair men looked at the machine and one called Bosch and confirmed that it is the motor control unit and I saw the part, it looks fried!! He informed me once again he cannot help me since they werent certified!! I should have bought a Whirlpool machine; at least with Whirlpool, the parts are cheaper and my husband has repaired my Whirlpool washer with the help of YOUTUBE! There are no YOUTUBE videos on how to replace a Bosch motor control unit. I would not purchase a Bosch appliance again!!

We purchased a Bosch Dishwasher on 4-27-2014 from Sears; at which time Bosch had a rebate (Offer # 781-34) of $150.00 Install Reward. We sent the rebate in on the following day. It said that we would received rebate within 8 to 10 weeks. We waited until about 7 weeks and then called the 800# on the form to check on the status of the rebate and were told that they didnt have any record of it yet and should call back in 2 weeks. Called back 2 weeks later and talked to a man that said for some odd reason it must have been lost. We asked him if that meant that we lost out on our $150.00 rebate and he said, No, just resend it, but that we would just have to wait another 8 to 10 weeks. Now we received a postcard stating that the request was not postmarked within the time frame stated on the rebate form. We called the rebate center and explained the situation and they said that the 2 times that we called there were never reported so they were sorry but we lost our rebate. This we feel is totally not our fault. We sent the rebate on time. They should have created an account on us the first time we called. The rebate offer is what made us buy the Bosch in the first place. It was to pay for the installation fee. We talked to a supervisor at the rebate center and she told us that the man that told us to resend the papers to them should have given us a different address to send them to. I asked her for that different address and that I would resend them for the 3rd time and she said that it was too late now because the rebate was over. This is really ridiculous. We have searched on line and found that we are not the only ones this has happened to. What is actually happening with these rebates that people like us are suppose to be getting but arent? We are very disgusted in this whole situation and in the way the rebate center for Bosch is run. They need to train the people hired there to do their jobs. We are not upset with the actual people that are answering the phone but the ones that are higher up doing the hiring and training. Went higher up and talked to a person from Bosch and they said that the rebates are all handled by the rebate center and that this was out of their hands.

I bought a Bosch Dishwasher model Avantixx SMS53A02GB/01 three years ago. After three years used only for domestic purposes i.e. once a day, the machine started leaking water on the bottom side. Following the heating system broke down and the Bosch engineer suggested not to repair the machine as it will have costed more than the actual value. How can a RELIABLE manufacturer like Bosch produce a bad product like the Avantixx and also charge you £100 for letting you know that it has broken down beyond repair in just three years? Shame on them. I will not advise anyone to buy one of their dishwasher machine.

Worst dishwasher weve ever had - does not hold many dishes as the racks are tiny. Forget about putting bowls in the lower rack, if you do you cant add plates as they bump up against each other. The lower rack falls off the track if the bottom rack is fully loaded and then you have to pick it up and try to get it back on track. The SMELL - OMG, since day one we have removed the strainer in the bottom, rinsed it and allowed it to dry in between washings - noticed an inch of water in the well at the bottom - which adds to the smell. Called repair and they simply state, Thats the design. Well let me tell you the design sucks!Never in my many, many years of owning dishwashers have I EVER dealt with a smell like this. It is embarrassing when you have company and open it as the entire kitchen ends up smelling like a TRASH HEAP! So now we buy deodorizers to keep the smell at bay, and rinse agent to help the dishwasher do its job, and detergent, and dishwasher cleaner, 4 products - unreal. Who knows maybe they are in cahoots with the manufacturers of these products (or who knows maybe they are the ones who make them - because their dishwasher SUCKS! Did I say that already?).

My father purchased a Bosch tankless water heater about 18 months ago. He had a professional plumber install the tank to the specifications that the factory mandates. The unit never did work properly. After hours on the phone with tech support listening to every reason in the book why it wasn't "their" fault , and hundreds if not thousands of dollars spent on a plumber they still will not honor their warranty and replace the unit. The problem with the unit is that whenever you turn on the cold water to make the water warm instead of scalding, the heater shuts off completely leaving you with ice cold water. The factory techs tell us that there is not enough water coming into the unit. Ok easy fix right "just tell us how much water is required". O wait the "tech" isn't allowed to suggest anything like that. My father is so frustrated he wants to take the unit outside and shoot it with a rifle. If there is a class action we want in!!!!!! I purchased this dishwasher during a kitchen upgrade. Prior dishwashers were noisy and tend to leak over time. One nice feature of this dishwasher is its completely sealed underneath. This keeps the noise level down and of course no leaking out the bottom. One drawback is you may need a longer water inlet line because routing can only follow a predetermined path.

We purchased a Bosch Powerstar tankless water heater with a 10-year warrant
We purchased a Bosch Powerstar tankless water heater with a 10-year warranty in October of 2008 from Home Depot. At the time, the price on the water heater was $800. In September of 2012, it stopped working so I called Bosch. The first rep told me I needed a licensed person to come out and look at it before I could claim warranty on the unit. This was on September 28th. Okay, not a problem, right? Wrong! First off, they do not have technicians to send to look at their products so I had to call a plumber and I couldnt find one that could come that day. On October 2nd, the plumber shows up and after extensive arguing between Bosch and the plumber because he was told to disassemble the unit, take photographs of the inside, and send them to the Bosch tech. But first, they would have to send us the new O-rings before the unit could be disassembled, so $80 to the plumber and he left. The O-rings finally arrived on October 10th so another call to the plumber. He came out on the 12th. After 4 hours of this crap and $320, they decided to warranty the unit and said they would ship out a new one. Well, today is October 22nd and I still do not have my new water heater! I called Bosch this morning and they didnt send it out until the 18th. So now, after 25 days of no hot water, I have decided I will never buy another Bosch product in my lifetime and I hope you wont either! Very bad customer service.

Unbelievably quiet for a dishwasher. I didnt believe it was on or had run the first two times I used it. It also does the dishes sparkling clear WITHOUT the Finish product. Just the normal dishwashing detergent. Rave all the time about it as I unload it. Dont know how many features are necessary to wash dishes. A rinse if I have new stuff, I just want to sterilize and the regular good wash. The short wash tended to leave the dishwasher smelling of food after even though the dishes were clean. This does not happen on the regular wash so I think it has to do with running long enough to get the food completely down the drain. This is the only drawback: it is not as big as previous dishwashers I have had and the bottom rack is not conducive to glasses and bowls mainly just plates. We use a lot of mugs and glasses and bowls, so I need the majority of the dishwasher to conform to placing these dishes safely in line. Sleek and beautiful. No buttons or lights showing anywhere except a reflection of the light onto the floor when its running, which lets me know it has begun. If Bosch would create a rack that could conform to different dish size and shape, this would be the PERFECT dishwasher of all time. It is amazing in terms of the lack of sound and the sparkling dishes.

I purchased 3 Bosch appliances less than six years ago - 2 ovens and a 5-burner cooktop. When deciding on the purchase, my appliance dealer assured me that Bosch produces high end appliances. We went ahead with the purchase and paid high end prices too. Now, less than six years after we bought them, all 3 appliances are malfunctioning. Its so strange - almost like they have a pre-ordained life span from the manufacturer, because they all broke within the same 4 - 6 weeks. We have been trying to get them repaired through Bosch service for over a month and they are dragging their feet and giving us a horrible runaround. What a shame! I dont think I shall ever purchase another Bosch appliance nor recommend them to any of my friends or relatives. The customer service reps are lying to us, changing their minds, changing their strategies, not calling back, making offers then going back on their word... Its all horrible. I regret the day I ever bought Bosch.

We were having issues with our Bosch dishwasher, up to this point for fifteen years its been great. Bosch informed us there was a recall on that model and offered us a 30% discount on a new model. That happened in mid-February and it still has not shown (its now August 2021). We have tried to reach out and see what is going on; youre on hold for at least 30 minutes, then you speak with someone who has no idea how to track down the issue. Bosch does not stand behind their products. Several of their dishwashers are being recalled for a bad control panel. It can go bad and catch on fire. My dishwasher was not in the recall. However, the part went bad. It had a burnt control panel. I contacted Bosch. Sent them pictures of the control panel, the burnt portion, etc. FIVE DAYS LATER Bosch e-mails me back. Apologizes for the delay, of course. Say they are sending a repair fella out to my house. FIVE DAYS AFTER they get my e-mail, they tell me this!!! I am a female who HATES to wash dishes! How long did Bosch think I would wait till I went and purchased another dishwasher or fixed the current one?Frankly I believe that was the whole point of WAITING FIVE DAYS BEFORE E-MAILING ME! Bosch says that since the repair was performed before their authorized service guy came to look at it, they would not pay for the part! I believe that was Boschs whole point!!! Bought both a Bosch Hedge trimmer and a Pressure washer with some money I had been given as a present. I, like many other people, had been brainwashed into thinking that German products were the best and that by buying Bosch, Id be buying a good product. Firstly, the Hedge trimmer seemed ok, used it once or twice until the third time it seized up and refused to work. I took it back to the shop I bought it from and was given a new one. That one too, seized up and blew the RCD in the house. The internals had fallen to pieces (cheap plastic). I took that back and got a Black and Decker instead. Worked brilliantly, and still does ten years on! Pressure washer next. Used once. Seemed ok. Not brilliant but average. Used a second time and the lance fell to bit spraying me in the face!!! Cheap and nasty plastics! Took it back and was given another one. Motor failed on that one after 2 months of average usage! Bosch? CRAP!

I purchase a Bosch gas range in Dec 2019. We started smelling gas last week and had to call 911 and PSE&G. The issue was tracked to the oven and Bosch said they will send a technician. They said the earliest appt they had was 4 days out. I called them again as the smell was progressively getting worse. I escalated again and they agreed to send local Bosch certified technician. The technician arrived promptly and found that the safety valve was defective and he had to order the parts from Bosch. Bosch said 5-7 business days (and this a gas leak issue) and I was again on the phone trying to covey the urgency. I was stuck between the installer and Bosch and I am the Consumer. Bosch finally agreed to overnight the part to my address and the installer was scheduled to fix it today. I called Bosch today for a tracking number and they said they dont have one!! I also found out that they have shipped the part to the technician! Still no part and plenty of gas smell. I purchased this dishwasher on 8-1-18. Four months later I heard a motor running my kitchen. After investigation I determined that it was the dishwasher drain pump. I opened up the door and the key pad was dead. The only way to shut it off was to unplug it. He said he needed to order a part and it is backordered, (Two Weeks) and Bosch wont see the part and it wont be released at least for another week after that! Furthermore he doesnt know if it will fix it!! I purchased this brand because they were supposed to have a good service record? I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

This dishwasher does a very good job at getting all of my dishes clean. Even those that have dried food stuck to them. It does everything I need it to do. Although, this dishwasher does not have heated dry option. I am fine with this, as the heat from the wash gets most everything dry. It has basic regular, light, heavy duty settings. Thats all I need! It is a traditional/regular size dishwasher. The interior holds everything I need to wash, although the set up of the tines have taken a bit getting used to. I feel if they were orientated differently I might be able to load easier. Its a nice stainless steel washer! When researching this dishwasher, only negative thing I could find was issues with the door latch. Knowing this, I exercise extra caution in opening and closing. It does open stiffly.

Bosch is known for being quiet. That is very important in homes with open floor plans. I have a large center island where the back of the dishwasher is facing a living space. Because it is only about 58 db, it is practically impossible to hear it running. Furthermore, the end of cycle chime is necessary to know when to empty it. The soil sensor seems to work quite well as it will only run as long as there are soiled dishes. The water temperature gets quite hot, so I know unwanted bacteria is eliminated. Dishes always come out squeaky clean. I love the half load cycle and use it frequently. The energy and water usage is very low. I think that most people who own dishwashers think that the whole unit fills with water each time they run a cycle, and so they are reluctant to run the dishwasher. Many folks, unknowingly, use MORE water by doing dishes by hand than they would have done if they had put them on the proper cycle in the dishwasher. If the owner would read the specifications of actual water usage, they would be surprised how little water a full load uses in comparison to rinsing dishes before placing them in. I also like the fact that I can put delicate items, such as crystal and fine china, and know that nothing is going to come out damaged or cracked. The size of most regular household units will fit into a standard 24 wide lower cabinet. I also think the capacity and overall arrangement of the racks gives quite a bit of flexibility, as no two loads contain the same collection of dishes to be washed to be washed at the same time. This particular unit has a very low-profile handle and doesnt interfere with todays contemporary, clean lines in the kitchen. The handle is sturdy and feels secure. My unit is a nice grade of stainless steel, not a thin gauge that would tend to dent easily. The interior is also a food-grade stainless steel that doesnt collect unwanted odors or corrosion from the soap. If you opt for Bosch, you dont have to get a really expensive, high-end model since they are all extremely quiet and easy to use. Bosch also, in my opinion, exudes an element of high quality, even if its a low-end model. Generally, the higher end machines have options and features that most owners rarely use. I believe that Bosch is a good choice for a discriminating buyer who doesnt necessarily have a huge budget, but wants a beautiful, efficient machine that will last a long time. It is a work-horse that will bring compliments from friends and family for years to come as they have a 25 year warranty on their products.

When they last came to service, they said it is a flaw and its guarantee ended and they wanted 450 YTL to give me a new one. I didnt give it. I purchased a townhouse built in 2009 and rented it out. All Bosch appliances, microwave model # HMV9305 over the stove model, would not shut off. The tenant pulled the plug. The unit was very hot around electronic panel with burning odor. I had an experienced appliance technician in to repair it. He said he has never seen anything like this. The entire unit is fried, even the fan and wise that it was disconnected because if it had not been disconnected, it could have caused a serious fire. I have had several microwaves of different brands in homes over the years. I still have 2 of them after 13 years without an incident. Thank you, Sharp. Do not buy this junk. This could have been a lot more serious.

I purchased a Bosch cook top, oven and microwave a couple of years back. Had nothing but trouble. The first year had 3 calls on the oven. Now since January Ive had 3 calls on the microwave. Ive been without a microwave for 1 month now. Those who have a microwave will understand how inconvenient this is. Ive never had a problem with appliances in the past. The latest update: theyre waiting for parts to arrive from Germany. Buy LG, GE, Sears, whatever, that has a stock of parts in this country. You wont be sorry you did. Bosch is a piece of crap! A £500+ Bosch microwave oven (model HMT85GL53B) purchased only 2 years ago broke just 1 month after the 2 year warranty expired - and Bosch made no offer to help. You would expect such an expensive appliance to last well after the warranty period! We spent the extra money on the kitchen appliances as we thought that Bosch had a good reputation...and there we are! We are appalled at the quality of Bosch appliances and very unhappy with the way Bosch handled it. We wouldnt recommend the microwave / combi oven model HMT85GL53B to anyone, as it has broken so quickly!

We bought a new townhome in with new Bosch appliances in Nov 2013. Someone said the appliances were high end. For the past 6 months the microwave has tripped the circuit breaker upon opening the door. So much for high end. We called an appliance company who charged $129 just for driving to our house. After nearly two hours, and speaking to a Bosch technician, the appliance tech said we need a new board for a total of $315, parts and labor! WHY DID IT BREAK DOWN AFTER ONLY TWO YEARS?!! I could have bought a cheaper Walmart microwave that would still be working right now. Bosch needs to make better appliances or extend their crappy one-year warranty! No wonder the warranty is only good for one year and doesnt cover circuit boards!

Third (top) rack for utensils or silverware -- no more bending to load the silver, its waist height and sooo easy to load then transfer to drawers when cleaned. Besides the absolute quiet of the machine the silverware rack is my favorite feature! Its 24 wide -- standard full size under counter DW. Clean lines, Stainless steel finish, Control panel is hidden. There are a couple of options for handle/no handle. I paid slightly more than most major brands -- and it was money well spent. This dishwasher is so much better, quieter, more convenient than my previous two.

Three visits by an authorized tech to rule out problems with the door and gaskets resulted in his conclusion that the oven has a defect that it is a fire hazard as heat is going into the surrounding wall. I am asking other consumers who find their ovens are slow to preheat to actually check the outside border of the oven while on to see if it is hot. If you are considering buying a Bosch fridge freezer, be aware that they have chosen to design the light fitting for the cold water/ice dispenser so that you have to buy a complete replacement module and pay for them to visit your home to fit. Likely cost of all this will easily exceed £200/$300 - just to change a light! Ours lasted less than 3 years, so this would be an expensive fridge if we paid Bosch every time it failed. Next time, well go for a make that doesnt deliberately design products to make money in scams like this. Hope this helps others to avoid getting ripped-off by Bosch.

We bought a Bosch dishwasher for about $700 shortly after the 2009 recall (dishwashers bursting into flames due to electronics issue). We thought that the quality issues were limited to a single electronic component, and previously the company had a good reputation. The dishwasher cleans dishes, so we should be happy, right? In the past year, the control buttons and the plastic countdown window have popped out one by one. Today is my second round of DIY repair. The reason for repeated button loss is now very clear - the front fascia panel is made of a thin panel of ABS. This is not just a decorative panel - the stress of door opening with every use is applied to the panel, which is now cracked. Because of a design flaw, the cracks propagate right into the button area - so I no longer have a way to keep those buttons from falling out.Parts are available on the Bosch web site - only $86 plus shipping for the fascia and the missing button. The replacement panel will have the same design issue as the original, so this may buy me a year, 2 years or three of intact dishwasher. For environmental and financial reasons, I expect a dishwasher to last about 15 years. I am very disappointed by the substantial repair time and cost caused by an under designed appliance part. The model number is she45m02UC/53 and the part of doom is panel-fascia 478810.

Have a Bosch built-in refrigerator with TWO issues related to the icemaker. Have had it only 6 months, but both problems pretty much from the beginning. First of all, it keeps dropping ice into the tray, and the tray overflows because all the ice drops down in the back of the tray, while the front of the tray pretty much stays empty. Had serviceman here twice, and both times he told me I have to keep pushing the ice from the back of the tray to the front. Told me the manual says that. It doesnt.MORE IMPORTANT - there are little tiny flies and an awful smell in our freezer ever since the fridges circuit breaker blew while we were away for a month. Every once in a while Ill see a tiny larva inside an ice cube. Pretty sure there is a nest in the icemaker or water line. Or possibly in the drip tray. The bugs seem to come out every couple of weeks - probably the gestation time for the new eggs that were laid. Weve never seen a live one - only dead. Had both exterminator & Bosch service person tell us we need to totally uninstall the fridge and clean & disinfect. Seems to me there should be a way to get to the drip tray & icemaker without uninstalling the fridge. Have 4 boxes of baking soda - still have the smell.

I bought a Bosch oven in 2005, it has never worked correctly. I had a repairman out the first year and was told it was within specs. He did nothing more than shoot the interior with an infrared thermometer! This year our Thanksgiving was completely ruined because the oven would not hold a constant temperature. I had a repairman out and was told the thermostat was bad. Also the switch was bad. Total price for both was $60.00 IF you could find them. The company no longer makes them! After trying to contact their customer service department I finally got a response after sending their corporate office a note to send someone physically to customer service to check on them because they were either not there or all dead! I got a call back from a supervisor telling me that indeed the parts were no longer made and I should buy a new oven! So I am to understand that this is an appliance company that does not know how to make thermostats or switches that work. I see from the other reviews that they have made a habit of this. I agree with the others, I will NEVER buy another thing this company produces under any name. This includes Dremel tools. They do not care about their customers.

Stupidly we believed the hype about Bosch products. Dishwasher was too small for regular size dishes, who knew, Bosch dishwashers were built for the smaller European dishes. Washing cycles were hours in length, no such thing as a quick wash! Had to be replaced after 5 years with a Kitchen Aid which works fine. Front loading washer (supposedly top of the line) needs to be wiped down after each use, and propped open to prevent mold. Cant run spin cycle only when necessary. Would sure like that feature since the washer doesnt always get all the water out of the load. Plastic window cracked and came off the frame almost to the day after the warranty expired. The scotch tape looks so attractive holding the plastic window in place. And the dryer WOW what a poorly engineered appliance. The door fell off! Thank goodness for YouTube where my husband found instructions to order the door part and to repair the door. And, I just love cleaning the entire length of the filter after 2 or 3 loads because the filter and I use that term loosely doesnt filter. Lint, etc. gets stuck at entrance to the filter and also on the other side of the filter and BTW the filter needs to be washed about once a month because the filter screen gets covered with something. When we had the repairman out to repair the heating element I mentioned the filter problem and he said he heard that complaint a lot. Fix it! And thank you very much Ill decide when the clothes are dry not the dryer which 9 times out of 10 cases, the clothes arent dry and Ill decide if I want to use the wrinkle free function not the dryer which again is trying to prevent wrinkles in damp clothes. Hello, Bosch, you get wrinkles in damp clothes! Never again will we buy a Bosch product, they are the worse.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher and about a year later, a Bosch washer and dryer. After 4 years with the dishwasher, the water no longer was hot. We telephoned the company we purchased it from and they referred us to a repairman. Bosch only certifies certain companies to do their repairs. Unfortunately, this company wasnt really easy to work with. They did eventually come out to the house. After a prolonged conversation with a Bosch representative, it was determined the internal water heater was bad. The part was ordered. It took three months for the part to come in and eventually get replaced. When the part was put in by the same company and the machine turned on, the board indicated it would take 367 minutes to wash an empty load of dishes. The representative left and indicated the machine would have to be reset. Well the next day, I phoned them back. The machine ran the 367 minutes but no hot water. They sent a different repairman and Bosch wasnt willing to accept they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. They did eventually replace the motherboard and the machine is currently working. The washing machine, after 3 years of use and with only 2 people in the family, started rocking and my husband saw sparks on the inside of the wash tub. We were told it could not be repaired. We couldnt dump it fast enough. Dryer still worked but it took over an hour to dry a regular load of clothes. The machine didnt clean well and the dryer often left clothes damp even though the moisture sensor had been checked twice. Bosch is highly overrated and they must pay their vocal advocates a lot of money. We wont even consider a Bosch in the future.

It’s been a year since my ice maker has stopped working. I called them to schedule a repair, I paid $1500 for a new part, the repair guy gets here, completely breaks my freezer. Now I need to throw away all my produce and wait another 2 weeks until someone gets here to fix what he broke. I year later...my ice maker is still not fixed, I have had Bosch technicians come here once a month with a new part they promised would fix my problem. (I just want to clarify that every time they are supposed to come here I take a days off of work to wait for them.) Last time Mr ** The technician gets here he simply looks at the fridge for 5 mins and says the ice maker is broken and there is nothing he can do, and he leaves - I took another day off from work to wait for him.I call Bosch customer service again (I already remember their number by heart. We have a relationship for a year now.) asking for my money back for the parts I paid for that were completely unnecessary, I also notice that my door is breaking and it needs fixing. Customer Service tells me that they need to send another technician to make sure that there really isn’t anything that they can do and then they can only refund me the money back and that they will order new parts for my door that is breaking. This was three weeks ago. The day the technician is supposed to arrive I get a call in the morning, just add that I did take the day off from work again to wait for them, I got a call in the morning from the technician telling me that the part for the door never arrived and that they need to make an appointment for another three weeks, Let me just add that my door is really about to fall off and I will not have a fridge if it does.I never write bad reviews and I’m not an angry person but Bosch has treated me so badly and so unfairly, Their customer service is The worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. They will not try and get you earlier appointments all they say is that they are sorry and that there’s nothing we can do. The only place that I can complain is here and I don’t know what else to do and now I have to wait another two weeks for somebody to come here and fix my fridge which will never get fixed at this point and I will never get my money back for all the parts that I paid for in the past year to fix my fridge. I have lost all hope and I know at least to never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever buy any Bosch appliances ever again just to not have to deal with customer service and technicians. Please be warned!!!

The part was a simple slide, in part, a 10-year-old kid could install, less complicated than lacing a shoe, but Bosch decided not to use common sense in this case and said thats all they could do. Nexxt Dryer Model No. WTMC3300US-01 - We bought this dryer new in 2004, and it worked wonderfully. After we owned it for about 7 years, the dryer started to make a harsh grating grinding noise. We immediately stopped it. When I opened the back of the dryer, it was clear the motor retainer clip had slipped off the circular end of the motor such that the motor axle could no longer be turned easily which caused the grinding noise. I remounted the axle and retaining spring and the dryer worked correctly until about 2 weeks later it happened again. I repaired it again. A month later the same thing. After about 10 iterations of this, I ordered a new retainer clip thinking that the clip had lost its retaining ability. After 3 months, the retainer clip slipped and I repaired it again. I thought Bosch made better stuff than this.

In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine.
In 2012 we purchased a Bosch dishwasher based on Consumer Reports Magazine. We bought the top of the line spending a lot of money for what we thought to be a good unit. Since installation we have had it fixed 3 times the first being for a power cord that failed but was a recall that Bosch covered. That part again failed 2 years later and had to be repaired again for the same failure as the first but at my cost. The latest was for a power control circuit board. The dishwasher would start appear to be running but after only 2 cycles would stop and indicate the dishes were clean. However no water ever entered. A search on the internet revealed that other models had the same problem and was involved in a recall. A workaround was to open and close the door after the 2nd cycle and the unit would then fill. I tried the workaround and it worked, indicating the same problem and was later confirmed by a repairman. I contacted Bosch, provided all requested documentation and was eventually told that our unit was not included in that recall and the best they could do was 20% of the replacement board cost which equated to $24.00, but wed have to pay for shipping and taxes which was $17.00. I thought we had bought a well built appliance from a reputable manufacturer but have been proven wrong. Their customer service is terrible and does nothing to HELP you. In the 7 years weve owned it half of the original purchase price has been in repairs. I would not recommend any Bosch appliance to anyone again nor would I buy one.

When I called Lowes I was reminded to use only one tablespoon of high energy detergent, use Affresh Grit Grabber to wipe down the door gasket and the rubber boot of the tub and keep the door ajar. This same information was provided me by Bosch Consumer Service. I also run an empty load with vinegar/bleach every couple weeks. The door stays ajar at all times except when running a load of laundry. It is unreasonable and unacceptable for any 300 series quality ASME SS to rust in this day and age, it is terrible that your customer service rep argued on the 10 yr warranty first that it was the cleaning product we use [none-my wife will not use any chemicals] and then that warranty only covers rusted perforations!!! I understand manufacturing quality problems that escape inspection or lousy purchasing specifications for defective austenitic steels [industry wide problem] but expect for the manufacturer as reputable as Bosch [was] to back its products ethically and accordingly to the nameplate they carry. The ice maker doesnt work, the shelving pops out, and it cracks easily. The dishwasher’s [800 SERIES SHE68R55UC] text by the buttons has faded away and sometimes it doesn’t dry completely and to top it all, I did not get my full $1500 rebate from Bosch when I purchased all the appliances under a ridiculous excuse on some of the appliances [“we don’t recognize the serial numbers”]. Reading throughout the enormous quantity of negative internet posts it looks like this should be a recall issue. I was hopeful that Bosch would come through as you all have with other customers but they didn’t. Their policies are not applied in a consistent manner; A reviewer at Amazon said I was very pleased that Bosh arranged to have my microwave fixed, even though it was 3 years out of warranty. I encourage anyone with similar problems to contact them rather than rant and rave about the problem, give them a chance to make it right.” Well, not to me regrettably.

We installed this new oven last year and decided to run the self cleaning option. We did not pull the telescopic oven tray out prior to running the cleaning option. Apparently the high heat ruined the parts involved with the telescopic action. It would have been nice to have had a warning label on the tray or perhaps the dealer might have mentioned this. Im sure it indicates this in the book so Bosch is off the hook for a $250 tray. The salesman at Mahlander’s in Sioux Falls was a complete jerk about it. No more Bosch appliances for this family.

We bought a new home about a year ago and we were happy that it came with a Bosch dishwasher. We had no idea that the dishwasher was on recall and about 6 months after we moved in, the dishwasher caught fire while we were in the living room. The only compensation that Bosch would offer us is 40% off another dishwasher if we order it through their website. Believe me, if your dishwasher bursts into flames in your kitchen and you have to have the fire department remove it from your home, you wont want to put the exact same product back in your house! I am very frustrated with a company that I thought was a high end brand leaving me to pay to replace their defective product. Id pick a different company if I were you!

I turned on the dishwasher, theres lights and sound, but no water filled on any cycle. I smelled something burning but saw no flames or smoke. I did not think it was the washer till reading here. The washer was installed on July 2005. Sounds like a planned obsolescence. After reading all the complaints, I have decided not to call for repair. I will simply replace the dishwasher with another brand and wait to hear about Bosch going out of business or a class action suit that will last forever. It is good there is a forum of consumer opinion. Instead of buyer beware, it is now provider beware. Hooray!

My 4-year-old dishwasher has not given me clean dishes or silverware from day one. I always need to recheck each item and then rewash almost 3/4 of everything. Also I need to play with the start button many, many times before it starts the wash cycle. Two neighbors with Bosch machines (one about 900 dollars) are very dissatisfied. The next time I need a appliance, I hope to be smart and read the reviews first then do the shopping.

This new oven was installed October 14th and has never worked. Bosch factory repair came out and said there were four things wrong with it and that it should be replaced. After a month of calling, emailing and waiting hours upon hours on hold, Bosch said they would not replace it but attempt to fix it. The repairman came again, again stated that it could not be repaired and that the needed panel was backordered. It is now December and the needed part is not going to be available until after the first of the year. Bosch refuses to replace the oven and does not stand behind their product. Purchased a new Bosch French door refrigerator. Two weeks later the ice maker stopped working. Called for service. Noticed the vegetable and deli drawers had frozen everything solid. Noticed all the food in the rear of the device was partly frozen. Rep came out and announced the ice maker was defective, needed to be replaced. Ordered new one. He also explained that the ice maker regulates the temp for the refrigerator. Replaced the ice maker. The ice maker constantly drips all over the refrigerator. The water and ice dispensers do not work well. Ice either comes out at a breakneck speed or not at all. Water sprays out all over the place. Very poor engineering.I still have occasional freezing in the veg drawers. Spoke to the Bosh consumer agent, she was arrogant, rude and generally unhelpful. Suggested to me I not put vegetables in the veg drawers, as they tend to freeze! I asked her if she was planning to send another device out for purpose of cooling the verges. She became even nastier. My opinion, run in another direction if you see Bosch while shopping for appliances. Also, my daughter apparently bought a Bosch side by side and hates it. Rues the day. Wish I had spoken to her first.

I got this washer as an open-box deal at a killer price. Note that it requires 240V, so unless you buy the matching dryer, you need to either have an electrician run a 240V outlet to your laundry room or convert your existing 120V outlet to a 240V, which is only possible if it's a dedicated only outlet on the circuit. If it is though, and you feel confident enough to do some basic electric work in the breaker box, the cost for this is $5 for the outlet and face plate and $10 for the double pole breaker and it takes less than 30 minutes (see picture). This washer is extremely quiet, both during wash cycles and when spinning. Compared to the Samsung HE front loader that it replaced, it is much quicker and the clothes come out MUCH MUCH cleaner, especially whites, and without using any bleach or Borax. It also has a higher spin speed than the Samsung, which means the clothes come out dryer and you're saving time and money on drying. Overall, I cannot believe that I put up with the Samsung for as long as I did.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a a service tech to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained. I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didnt. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

Bosch Customer Service and Product disappointment! In June of 2017, in anticipation of our upcoming kitchen remodel we purchased a Bosch 800 Series 30” Dual Fuel Slide-in Range. Product HD18054U/C. As is often the case in remodels, there was a delay and the project wasn’t started until January 2018. The range was delivered on Feb. 27, 2018 and installed about ten days later. We experienced minor trouble when the keypad started randomly beeping. This happened within a year (early 2019) but we were told that we should unplug the stove, wait a bit, and plug it in again. This seemed to work for a time. We had several episodes but it was not a big problem to follow the “unplug” advice. The problem became significantly worse in March of this year, 2020, beeping at all hours of the day and night. We knew it would be expensive to repair it but finally called a service provider in May. I was charged a service call and the serviceman said he would order the new control panel, but added that I should contact customer service to ask if Bosch would help with the almost $800 cost that I incurred. After two calls and several replies/scans of documents to customer service, I anticipated a positive response. I was never told to WAIT to have the part replaced until I heard back from customer service. I did hear back on June 22nd. I was told that Bosch would do NOTHING. No compensation was offered. My claim was denied. I feel it is very unfair. It certainly seemed as though the “rules” changed during the game after I did everything I was asked to do, submitted all of the paperwork, etc. I am extremely disappointed in the range and in Bosch Customer Service.

We purchased what we believed to be a high-end Bosch dishwasher (Model Number SHX43 CO5UC). Were a family of 2 and use the dishwasher about every other day. After about 2 years, the pump/motor went out and the cost of repair is approaching $500 plus labor. Bosch, when contacted by phone, said it is out of warranty and we were on our own. One would reasonably expect a reportedly high-end product, lightly used, to last longer. And if for some reason it failed, one would reasonably think that the manufacturer would provide some type of support to make the product work (as designed and advertised) at a reasonable cost to the consumer. Note - this is a $600 dishwasher.

Bosch provided me a the worst service experience of my life! After less than 3 years the ice maker in my refrigerator/freezer stopped working. I contacted customer service and no one answered, so I went online and made a request for service. I got a call back 5 days later at which time I was told they couldn’t make an appointment because there was a systems problem and I should call back. That should have clued me of what was to come. Service was finally sent out after waiting more than a month for an open appointment. When service arrived they checked my water dispenser and told me my ice maker needed to be replaced. So I agreed and was told the new part needed to be ordered by me.I ordered the replacement ice maker and it was not available due to back order for more than 3 months! That’s ridiculous! Finally the part was available and service came out and told me the unit didn’t need replacing. It was just the “fill“ arm needed replacing. THIS WAS THE SAME TECHNICIAN THAT INITIALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM 4 MONTHS EARLIER! After which the service rep said it was fixed. Needless to say it was not fixed and then I rescheduled a service call. When the unit was in fact replaced by a different tech. And I was charge almost $500 for the privilege of waiting 4 months for replacing an ice maker that I suspect, never needed it to begin with. I will never buy a Bosch appliance and I am telling everyone I know to do the same.

I appreciate that Bosch has very high ratings. We may just be the unlucky ones to get faulty appliances, but our experience has been quite the opposite of high ratings. We remodeled our kitchen 5 years ago. We bought all Bosch appliances: refrigerator, built-in oven, induction stove top, microwave, dishwasher. About a year ago (so the appliances were 4 years old), the oven started overheating when we tried to clean the oven or have it on a high bake temperature for more than a few minutes. The oven would shut off and there was an error message on the panel that indicated overheating. We had it checked by the local authorized dealer and made several calls to Bosch. In essence, we were told that it is overheating--thats all! Well, we knew that. This has been going on for a year, and we havent received any solution from phone calls or visits.A few days ago, we tried to clean it again because something spilled in the bottom of the oven. It again overheated and shut down. Today, we were having people over for brunch. We set the oven to Bake with the temp at 400, and put the bacon in. We went back to check the bacon when it should have been done, and the oven and bacon were stone cold! We assumed we had not turned it on properly, so we again hit bake, set the temp to 400, and hit enter. Again, nothing. Our oven is completely dead, and it is just slightly older than 5 years! The oven panel displays all the right settings as if it is heating, but the oven remains cold. Again, with the rave reviews Bosch gets, we expected the oven to last more than 4 years before starting to have problems. As a matter of fact, with the price we paid, along with the reviews, we frankly thought that the oven would outlast us!Now for the refrigerator. Our self-defrost and icemaker have been malfunctioning. Again we called the local authorized dealer/repairmen, who came to look at it. He identified the problem and ordered a part to fix it. That was 4 months ago, and the part to fix it has yet to be shipped to the local dealer/repairmen. So although the problem was identified in August, it is now December and still no solution to our refrigerator. My husband has made several phone calls both to Bosch and to the local number, but to no avail. As you can see, I cannot in good conscience, recommend Bosch appliances to anyone. As a matter of fact, I would highly recommend not to go with Bosch. We have to replace our oven and probably our refrigerator, and we will absolutely not choose Bosch!

Didnt clean anything. You had to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. If you rinsed the dishes they would come out dirty. There was no difference in the normal wash to the heavy duty wash or even quick wash. It was a regular sized dishwasher, 22 inches wide I think. Stainless steel showed every water drip fingerprint and pet nose print. It was pathetic. No assistance from Bosch for its warranty was useless. Changed the motor and no difference. Only thing it was good for is to be run over by a loader to flatten it.

It worked for about 4 months. Then it stopped. Waited 10 days and Bosch repairman found small pieces of food in dishwasher and cleaned it - not warranty (owner fault). Said it worked fine and left. Tried to start it and found it didnt work. Waited 10 days. Bosch repairman returned; found more tiny bits of debris and blamed it on that. Surreptitiously replaced power source. Gave me second lecture about how no debris of any sort can ever go into machine. Machine worked for 2 washings and then broke. Waited 10 days. Bosch repairman returned and found more debris (2 tiny pieces of tea leaves, 1/10 of small fingernail and one small plastic filament about the same size). Same lecture. Replaced replacement power source. and left. Has worked fine once.I am left with the definite impression that the Bosch dishwasher is too delicate to be used as a dishwasher - that all items being dish-washed must first be washed by hand. So the dishwasher turns out to be an odd cabinet for storage. I am elderly and the bits found by the repairman would not be seen by me in any event. I am also left with the possible impression that the power source was broken at every step and the dance I was put through was designed to have me pay a $189 charge upfront, although it should have been covered by warranty all along.

In the last 12 months, Ive bought a high end Bosch flexi-induction, series 8 oven and washing machine. The first two, I intentionally paid a premium for it as they are made in Germany while the washing machine made in Thailand. The branding has bring down not only tarnished her brand but to Germany as a world-class engineering country. Almost everyone knows top quality engineering comes from Germany like Porsche, BMW, Merc, Audi, Miele etc.Utterly disappointing with less than 12 months, there were multiple service calls on the new oven, induction and washing machine. It’s not a coincidence. Three products all have issues, be it German made or not. Almost all my white goods and big household items are Bosch. Going forward, I’ll just go for China or Korean brands that are significantly cheaper. Premium price doesn’t equate to quality and durability anymore especially with Bosch. I used to have Bosch dishwasher that lasted for years, now, quality of this brand has dropped significantly and I’ve changed to Miele instead. Bosch, seriously is hopeless. It will be another Nokia (market leader went collapsing) if it still doesn’t wake up.

The first dishwasher had burnt up the wires inside washer as well as outside connections. It took a lot of calls for them to agree to replace the first unit. I had read on line that it had happened to others. After second dishwasher was installed on 1/9/09, my wife and I saw that our model number was a recall to possible electrical fires. For about two years, we received letters in the mail of this recall. Fast forward to late August up to early September, the second dishwasher is not working right. Bosch agreed to pay for a tech to diagnose and concluded that the heater assy shut as well as the main PCB, whatever that is. Repair is estimated at $450 to $500 on an almost four year old dishwasher. Bosch said that I am out of luck because warranty is over and that the second dishwasher was a goodwill case, even though the first dishwasher was a recall as a fire hazard. Oh and by the way, it is just my wife and I, so we dont use our dishwasher like a big family does.
