New home purchase with Bosch dishwasher and I have always heard good things
New home purchase with Bosch dishwasher and I have always heard good things about them....Wrong! The rack does not connect to the door and falls out all the time...breaking dishes! I cant believe Bosch would allow this, as it is a major problem! I get angry every time I load and unload the darn thing and would never purchase another no matter how well it would clean! It does a decent job cleaning but if the dishes break, whats the point?

My Bosch Front load Axxis was delivered with a broken drum, there was no evidence of shipping damage. Upon starting the first load water leaked onto the floor and damaged a new floor. The drum was replaced by a Bosch authorized repairman. After attempting to start for the second time, the front panel showed an error code that indicated a faulty control panel. At this point I had the machine for 1.5 months and have never done even one load. I asked Bosch for a replacement and I have a case file, but the service center keeps losing information or telling me that I need to provide more info. All I did was try to buy what I thought would be a good washer. All I have gotten for $900 is a hassle, more cleaning bills, a damaged floor and a worthless piece of junk. DO NOT BUY BOSCH.

I bought a upper top of the line dishwasher. Most times that I use the machine some of the dishes come out dirty. Its not me and its not the way I stack them. Bosch has refused to acknowledge a problem. The pocket handle has broke twice and so has the rinse dispenser. Bosch replaced them both once within first 12 months. Now that warranty expired they ignore my requests for assistance. If youre considering Bosch, dont do it. Poor machine, worse customer service.

We bought a Bosch gas range four years ago. I did the research and consumer reports said it was the best. Within the year, the front door wouldnt close completely. We had the company we bought it from come and fix it; it was still under the one-year warranty that time. Life was wonderful, except that the front knobs were a little loose from the heat that had been escaping with the door not closed. When the new hinges failed (again, less than a year after being installed), I called the store again, and had them come back and do it again. They gave me a hefty bill for it, which I disputed, since it was only a matter of months since it had been fixed. The one-year warranty was only from the date of purchase, so I paid it.Last summer, the door started its migration from the frame once again so, being the clever ** that I am, I propped the door shut with a kitchen chair. We really struggled to shut it enough for Thanksgiving dinner, and hadnt used it since. Our Vermont Castings gas grill was our primary cooking device--everything from apple pie to ziti--ever since.I bit the bullet last month and had them come again. They did half the work as they had to order a door repair kit (obviously, we are not the first to experience this). Now, with the new door kit and replacement knobs, we are looking forward to another 10 months (hopefully) of having an oven. Our broiler hasnt worked since it was fixed, but I havent complained about it because I cant afford to.

The first time we had Bosch out for a recall issue with the door. They repaired it and re installed the dishwasher crooked and out of level. I called and was told they can schedule it for a few days later. I DID not want to take another day off work so I dealt with it myself. It was a pain! I called them a week ago re draining issues and had to wait a week for them to come out. I received an e mail from them telling me they would call the day before or the morning of the service call to narrow the time slot down a bit. This made me happy. No call yesterday or early this morning. I called them and they said they would check into it and call back. They called back and told me the service guy hurt himself and was not coming. They said not to worry, they can have someone out in a few days. This would be a second day I would have to take off work, I could have purchased another new dishwasher for the 2 days I need to take off. Do not buy Bosch appliances, terrible appliances and worse service.UPDATED ON 11/02/2015: On Oct 6th I sent in a review about how bad Bosch dishwashers are and the service was even worse. Since then they sent a service tech from an outside organization out and the service person said the line was clogged, not a dishwasher problem. I asked why the dishwasher just stopped mid cycle and would not go any further including pumping water out. He said to get rid of the air gap loop the hose up and connect it directly to the disposal and all will be fine. I did as he said and not only is it against the national code, but all is not fine. The Bosch people do not respond to my emails. DO NOT BUY BOSCH PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU ARE A **. There are many similar complaints about Bosch and their products.

If you want a company that honorably stands behind its products, and has caring customer service, then DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT!!!! purchase a Bosch product. Dishwasher malfunctioning and you are just out of warranty? They dont care. Paid $1500? Oh well... too bad. I purchased a $1500 Bosch dishwasher. 3 repairs to the malfunctioning salt indicator in first 22 months of ownership. Bosch would do NOTHING for us. BTW, paying more for a dishwasher does not in itself shield you from malfunctions. Moreover, our old $500 Maytag worked flawlessly for 12 years. BOSCH = Bad Overall Service Customers Have.

I purchased this dryer and washer combo because I needed a compact wd set, I actually purchased 2 sets. I'll number my points of why I like/dislike this dryer. 1) It was annoying to have my electrician had to put in a 4 prong outlet. It costs more money than I wanted to spend 2) I had no idea this thing was going to drain onto my floor (it was my error, I was so eager to dry clothes after hanging it outside all summer to dry, so I just ran the load to dry making my floor wet by simply plugging and playing. 3) THIS TAKES FOREVER TO DRY. But it was SO WORTH IT not ironing or finding all my clothes bone dried and wrinkled. I finally caught on the trick of putting it running a longer time and not overloading it. I actually enjoy doing laundry more because folding wrinkle-free clothes and hanging up wrinkle-free clothes was a godsend in my family of 6. I am just happy I purchased 2. Now I can dry clothes and do all my laundry at once. I strongly dislike dirty laundry so so so much. 4) It's Ventless! COME ON NOW, no hole in your wall that you have to cover with foundation plantings that end up burning up and full of lint? THAT'S AN A+++++ in my book. My last dryer was a vented dryer from Bosch, and that thing was ok not awesome because of the wrinkles but the lint buildup was significant all over the duct. I couldn't sleep at night if I knew the dryer was running because I was terrified of a risk of fire. 5) The clothes come out soft, fluffy and light. Like not hard, crispy and extremely, extremely dry. Its just a perfect dryness. 6) The room is warm because of the vent. I love this feature in the winter. In the summer, I'm not inside enough to care but my electrician is recommending an exhaust fan. Nah, I'll just open a window. It hasn't bothered me yet. 7) Its awesome, compact size allowed me to hook it up temporarily anywhere- my kitchen, my basement etc during the renovation. Get one, you won't regret it. You'll even feel more European in the process.

This is one of the few true slide-in ranges left on the market that overlap the counter on each side. The cooktop is powerful, with great temp control and flexible configuration. The oven bakes so perfectly and evenly, it made me realize what I had been missing for years with my old oven. The convection settings work great, as does the proof setting and the warming drawer. We bought a $800 Bosch washing machine. Not cheap. After 2 months one day we opened and it looked like some clothes had got stuck in the door. This shouldnt happen as the door should need a vacuum seal to close. We had to call Bosch who failed to organise a repair - we had to book them ourselves. Apparently as there is a tiny break in the seal of the door thats not covered by warranty and will cost us over $200 to fix. Their repair company not easy to deal with and drawn out. We would have been better to have bought from another company. My wife 8 months pregnant and not happy, Bosch. :(

I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer
I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer. I had purchased this set from Lowe’s as a second set for the upper level of my home so I would not have to walk down to the basement. I have an 8-year-old LG Tromm set down there. This set seemed to have lots of positive reviews, and I got a great deal on the display model, so I thought I got a good deal. White clothes come out grey and dingy even with bleach. All my family’s jeans have permanent crumple creases down the legs from where the dye faded. Bed sheets turn into long twisted ropes, which would work out well if I was trying to make an escape from my prison window. And everything smells moldy. The dryer does not have a heat setting and shuts off before the clothes are dry, leaving the moldy clothes even more time to get even moldier. The steam setting does not steam but rather drips moldy water onto clothes, leaving them with wet spots. Settings are weird: like you have a choice of damp dry, regular dry, extra dry, and my favorite, xxxtraxtra dry? And not one of the settings gets the clothes dry because you have to line dry the clothes to finish the drying once they are done. And the washer is the same; weird settings like comforters, jeans, and babycare, but not white, brights, or colors? Then if you really want to get aggravated, you can select an eco-smart function that uses less water, making the dinginess of the dirty water even more concentrated, and it takes 3 hours for it to cycle. One nice thing is that it is quiet while it runs, but when it’s all done with the load, it will beep loudly all night every 2 minutes, and you can’t shut it off until you get up and open the door, then the light stays on all night. So why this machine won energy saver awards is puzzling. Anyways, after buying every kind of laundry detergent made to man, testing out all the silly stupid settings, replacing filters, hoses, and gaskets, and stacking and unstacking the machines, I have given up and am listing this machine on craigslist for free for whoever wants to ruin their clothes. Oh, my old LG cleans circles around this hunkajunk, plus it is used at least 5 times a day to clean towels from a hair salon. I had to replace a pump that went out on it; LG just charged me shipping and sent me the part free even though it’s out of warranty for 6 yrs. So, my advice to someone who wants to buy this machine? Don’t waste your money when you can come get mine for free!

This Bosch front loader is the quietest washing machine that I have ever owned. Unlike my previous front loader, it doesnt vibrate when it spins, it seems perfectly balanced. I also like the option of being able to use it as a dryer. Compared with separate driers, it is small, so I only recommend it as an occasional dryer. The wash/drier option is a real space saver, if you dont have enough space for two separate items.

There is a class action attorney interested... Bosch didnt recall their hazardous (bursting into flames!) dishwashers until a suit was filed. Similar issue here with brand new Bosch double convection oven--control panel and knobs became scalding the first time we used it. It took over two hours for the control panel and knobs to cool down. We keep it shut off at the breaker because the technician said it was just a glitch. Bosch told us if the technician says its safe to use your oven its safe to use your oven--but they refuse to warranty any damage to our kitchen (hello--our us!) if theres a future problem. Theyll just replace the oven--I guess after it burns down your kitchen. Make sure you report the problems on Consumer Advocacy site so others can be aware.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in 2012. 2 years later, 2014, the racks had issues with the protective plastic coating peeling off the prongs that hold the dishes in place. After spending $1,700 on the initial unit, an extended warranty, multiple repairmen visits and two magnetrons, our 14-month-old Bosch microwave caught on fire and is now deemed irreparable. Extended warranty people say we have to collect from Bosch. Bosch says we have to collect from extended warranty. Getting the run around from them both. We had this microwave installed for just over one year when we remodeled our kitchen, including creating a custom built-in location for this microwave. We now have a giant hole in our kitchen island and have been fighting with Bosch and the warranty people for months.Thankfully this diabolical machine didnt catch our entire house on fire. But nonetheless this product is a HUGE safety hazard and it should be pulled off the market (and poor suckers like those of us who purchased this machine should be compensated). Due to some technical issues, we have raised a complaint and the technician identified the issue is with the panel and needs to be replaced. As there was no update after 5 days I have called both Bosch & Croma customer care to check further on this. Unfortunately, they also did not have many updates regarding that and they said they will escalate to a higher level. Now it has been 30 days without any progress or update. I have sent multiple emails and called multiple times to customer care but no use. I was using a Whirlpool washing machine for last 8 years and I was getting good service from that vendor. For a kitchen renovation in May 2018 I purchased Bosch oven, stove, dishwasher, hood and refrigerator. The 1st day the on/off button on the range hood broke AND the icemaker fell out of the refrigerator. They were repaired at no cost. 8 months later the refrigerator lost power. Upon calling for service we were informed there were 3 authorized dealers in Westchester, NY and we needed to wait 5 days for a repair person. This is not a rural area. Crazy that there are only 3 contracted repair companies. If we called our own repair person the warranty would become invalid and we would have to pay for the repair/part. The person came and said they needed to order a part (computer board) from out of state which would take 5 days. Whatever happened to overnight service? 10 days later the refrigerator which was 8 months old was repaired. We noticed the oven took 2x longer than a recipe required. Upon buying an in oven thermometer we determined that even after following directions to preheat, the oven did not get to the temperature it was set for even after 1 hour. The icemaker works at a snails pace. It takes 24 hours to spit out 10 cubes. I get the sense it doesnt work right. I would NEVER recommend Bosch appliances and I am VERY disappointed I purchased these products. THE WORST.

Bosch Customer Service and Product disappointment! In June of 2017, in anticipation of our upcoming kitchen remodel we purchased a Bosch 800 Series 30” Dual Fuel Slide-in Range. Product HD18054U/C. As is often the case in remodels, there was a delay and the project wasn’t started until January 2018. The range was delivered on Feb. 27, 2018 and installed about ten days later. We experienced minor trouble when the keypad started randomly beeping. This happened within a year (early 2019) but we were told that we should unplug the stove, wait a bit, and plug it in again. This seemed to work for a time. We had several episodes but it was not a big problem to follow the “unplug” advice. The problem became significantly worse in March of this year, 2020, beeping at all hours of the day and night. We knew it would be expensive to repair it but finally called a service provider in May. I was charged a service call and the serviceman said he would order the new control panel, but added that I should contact customer service to ask if Bosch would help with the almost $800 cost that I incurred. After two calls and several replies/scans of documents to customer service, I anticipated a positive response. I was never told to WAIT to have the part replaced until I heard back from customer service. I did hear back on June 22nd. I was told that Bosch would do NOTHING. No compensation was offered. My claim was denied. I feel it is very unfair. It certainly seemed as though the “rules” changed during the game after I did everything I was asked to do, submitted all of the paperwork, etc. I am extremely disappointed in the range and in Bosch Customer Service.

I purchased a Bosch stove from the builder of my new home. Apparently there is a problem with the controls that turn the burners on. I was told by the Bosch rep that this is a safety problem that needs to be addressed. After weeks of trying to get this resolved and hours of waiting on hold and for a repairman I just keep getting the runaround and am living with a product that I was told by Bosch and the repairman that has a safety problem. This is the fifth Bosch product I have purchased and will never purchase another. I purchased this product new from the builder in 2017 and was told by Bosch that by checking the serial # it was produced in 2015. Why was I sold a unit that was over 2 years old?

Bosch Evolution 500 Series DI 2012 - Purchased new. The doors front panel rusts. Bosch customer service blamed me, stating I must have cleaned with ammonia based cleaner. I didnt use ammonia based cleaners. Bosch offered 20% off new part. All of my appliances and even house garbage can are stainless steel. The only rust is on the Bosch Dishwasher. Searching the internet I discovered many similar complaints. Apparently the consensus is that Bosch uses stainless steel that isnt passivated in which the process to remove iron oxides from the stainless steel wasnt complete thus allowing rust to form on the stainless steel. Bosch would rather blame me than correct the problem. Buyer beware.

Bosch Dishwasher Model SHE68T55UC/01: Had control panel replaced after a 1 year under warranty. Had to pay for customer service call and installation of part ($189.00). Experiencing intermittent touch panel malfunctions. Called Bosch sent out technician and he was tested machine and there was (1) malfunction out of 4 tries. Technician claimed there is nothing wrong with machine! I explained that this malfunction was intermittent and that out of seven washes there were at least 3-4 malfunctioning touch panel attempts... Bosch has refused replacement of this panel and is acting like there is nothing wrong with this $950 machine!!! I am speaking to a supervisor and I am waiting for a return call... The grates on the range have a plastic coating on them and they scorch. I call this a defect and they should replace them, but they want to sell me new grates that they cannot tell me what kind of material they are made of. First of all they should replace the grates for free, why put some material that does not hold up to fire on the grates, and second why would they not be able to furnish me with information on the new grates as to the material they are made of and if they have the same plastic coating on the grates. Why would I want to buy the same junk so it can be an ongoing sale?

I have all 800 series appliances from Bosch that are all just 4 years old. Refrigerator is noisy, plastic shelves are cheap and break easily, and shelf spacing is limited - its hard to fit a gallon of milk in. Dishwasher: was very quiet and now sounds like there is a heavy storm in the kitchen when it is running. Plus the racks are weird and dont hold dishes well. You end up washing half loads all the time because otherwise plates touch each other in the rack. Double ovens: my wife sloshed some chicken drippings on the glass door when unloading it and the grease got between the glass panels. I called Bosch about the oven door issue and my warranty was up by sixty days and they refused to fix this under warranty. I have never had problems with appliances before (GE Hotpoint; Kenmore). I paid top buck for an All Bosch kitchen. Its all junk.

Have owned many Bosch appliance in the past - all good. This one is the worst ever and I will not buy Bosch again. The design is poor, forget having any ice - its a joke, but 11 months later - it is now broken. The entire defrost system needs to be replaced. So at first big ice chunks formed on the back. Bosch hotline told us to run the defrost cycle. Hmm... how do you do that on an auto defrost fridge? So 4 weeks later the whole thing is broken. The refrigerator no longer cools properly and the entire defrost system needs to be replaced. Of course no parts available - so here we are in the summer in the heat of South Carolina. Thank goodness my Igloo cooler functions - and a whole lot better than the $3000 refrigerator from Bosch! Dont buy Bosch - they dont care!!

Bosch service tech discovered a manufacturers defect in my new dishwasher model number SHEM63W55N. My dealer submitted the request to replace immediately. The RA paperwork took 7 weeks. After spending the morning on the phone with the seller, I was told this model is not available. When I called Bosch, the customer service informed me that they have closed the issue and that they are done. No suggestions or offers to correct the issue and no apology for their delays. I have to hope that the seller will do what is necessary to correct the issue. Would have expected better and more compassion from their customer service people. This oven has a control panel with loads of stupid features, timer, Sabbath mode, clock (with year, month, date - who cares!!!) and so on. Its just an oven! Nobody needs that stuff. The control panel is the root of all thats wrong with the oven - if Bosch had just made the oven with power on off, temperature dial, light switch and convection fan on/off, Im sure itd work forever. Not now, the control panel has always been wonky, insisting on setting the time before you can turn on the oven! Now it refuses to accept time changes, thus rendering the oven inoperable. Lunacy. I have been dealing with a non-working tankless water heater for about a week, and Bosch customer service keeps telling me from pictures I sent that the install is incorrect. I have had many technicians come into my home and verify the setup and that Bosch, a reputable company, should accommodate us. Its been under 5 years since we have used these units and with not having hot water for almost a week and the countless phone calls to Bosch and emails with pictures, I am resorting to going to the Better Business Bureau. We had the town of Clifton verify everything before they issued us a Certificate of Occupancy. This CO would not be issued if a potential threat was posed due to incorrect installation. We also called Clifton City Hall, who said install was done according to city code. Of two, only one tankless water heater works. I will mention all over social media how Bosch treated this situation and my overall experience. We had to pay multiple amounts to the plumbers who visited our home, who ended up telling us this is something Bosch should be handling for us. Where is Bosch when this customer needs them to help? The 15 year warranty is mighty easy to void isnt it. Also, if Bosch is so confident that the install is incorrect, why doesnt Bosch come here and take a look themselves? Id appreciate a response as this is getting extremely frustrating.

Bought a Bosch Dishwasher from Currys; after a few weeks I felt it was not washing properly. I rang company sent out a repairman. He said its heating and the arms are turning so its fine. I showed him a stained mug which he took for examination. A few months later it still wasnt washing properly, rang again sent out another Bosch guy. He advised I should have bought elsewhere. Many phone calls to the UK followed. Finally UK said get onto Currys. I went into Currys and explained my situation: dishwasher doesnt wash properly and I cant used dishwasher tablets have to use powder. They were very helpful in the beginning but finally told me that Bosch UK said that their Engineer said it was fine. I have never dealt with such terrible Customer Services as in Bosch UK. They really dont have a clue but dont really want to know your problem. Sadly I have a Bosch washing machine and a Neff oven from the same house. I dread to think how they are going to pan out. It seems to me that Bosch will string you along until your warranty is gone. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM BOSCH OR NEFF AGAIN AND I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE PEOPLE TO DO THE SAME. They are operating under a good name which they achieved and their stuff is now very poor quality. My advice: do as my sister did, buy the cheapest out there it really cant be any worse.

When researching new appliances, all the reviews seemed to be negative, regardless of manufacturer. It seemed that nobody posted positive reviews. I bought all four Bosch appliances in March 2017 and had a problem with the refrigerator dripping water inside the box which had pooled under the pull-out chiller drawer. I called the Bosch people and they immediately set up an appointment with an independent local appliance repair service. The tech came out the next day, took everything inside the refrigerator apart and contacted Bosch Techs by phone to determine the required fix. After he was done and had put everything back together, I asked what if that didnt solve the problem and he replied that I would probably get a new refrigerator. The next day it was clear the leaking wasnt fixed. I called the repair guy and he immediately started a Claim, and gave me the claim number they would send to Bosch, and a phone number for me to contact Bosch. I talked with a very nice Customer Service lady at Bosch and they emailed me a claim form to complete. I was not able to complete it immediately but took the form to the local post office to mail about five days later. When I got home from the post office, the phone rang and it was the Bosch representative confirming that they had already ordered a new refrigerator and a local installer would contact me once the unit was received. About a week later, their installers came out, removed the old refrigerator and totally set up the new one. When they left there wasnt a trace they had been there and the refrigerator was completely set up. So, I may be in the minority on these Reviews but my Bosch appliances work just fine, the Customer Service people are absolutely delightful to work with and they stood behind their product 100%. I couldnt be happier and think potential customers who study the reviews need to see a positive experience among all the negative reviews.

Purchased a new home, wanted to replace all appliances, ordered BOSCH 800 S
Purchased a new home, wanted to replace all appliances, ordered BOSCH 800 SERIES 3 refrigerator, BOSCH 800 SERIES Dishwasher and BOSCH 800 SERIES 36IN. FLAME cooktop on 8/7/20. Regret it! Regret it totally. Waited 6 weeks for the cooktop to arrive with an impressive tagline ‘Cook with precision’, but the BRAND fails to live up to it miserably. To begin with I was always struggling to cook simply because the lower flame (simmer) burners are in the front and bigger flames ones are at the back (who cooks that ways??); if I started cooking on front burners, it felt like ages to even stir fry and if I started cooking at the rear, I was falling way too over my food simmering on the front burners risking burning myself. It was like juggling and guessing which burner to use for what and finally after having burnt myself more than a few times, I figured I could only use the center one for day-to-day cooking else I was just wasting my time (in hopes of ‘cooking with precision’) and getting burnt. As if this struggle wasn’t enough, in two months’ time the right front burner started shooting flames out near the sensor, which was hitting the cooktop surface and discoloring it. It wasn’t until the stainless steel surface was fairly dark that we noticed, what was actually happening and contacted the customer service (on 12/21/20) for help only to be told (on 1/10/21) that our problem was a cosmetic issue. When we refused to agree and sent more pictures, we were told, “We unfortunately would not have any sort of troubleshooting for this specific scenario and we can only recommend contacting your local authorized servicer in order to have this matter better addressed” and referred three companies. We shared this video (**) with the customer service on 1/22/21 hoping to get a feedback from the R&D team but BOSCH’s customer service didn’t even bother to acknowledge, leave aside respond to the safety hazard this design of the cooktop poses to its users which can be serious and life threatening. Having tested Covid positive, we couldn’t call the technical support (referred to by BOSCH) until April ’21. The chap comes in looks at every nook and corner of the cooktop but could not figure out a thing in 15 mins. Then another chap comes in in a few days and tells it is the burner cap that is causing for the flames to shoot. But, he still doesn’t know why? He goes back, calls BOSCH and gets back asking if we had another burner cap? Well yes, it is just 1mm smaller in size w.r.t the one currently on the burner. Eureka! We have the wrong burner cap on and an invoice from the technician stating BOSCH will not cover this. Now, that I know of the reason for the shooting flames, I agree that it was probably a mix-up of the burner caps while cleaning. BUT, then did BOSCH put a symbol or mechanism in place to ensure that users don’t do that mistake? BOSCH expects me to compare the sizes of the burner caps each time I put them back but would not work on designing things better. Well, why? Because BOSCH is a BRAND, a BIG BRAND, that sells stuff at HIGH PRICES, built with PRECISION to work in LABS not homes.   Just now (5/5/21) ended a call with DAVID **, a supervisor with BOSCH customer service who made me realize how empty BOSCH is as a BRAND. How its an ALL-HAT, NO-CATTLE company. Politeness and courtesy, two of the basics of customer service, they are not even present in BOSCHs customer service supervisors leave aside representatives. He says, I should clean one burner at a time to avoid confusion or the mix-up. Wow! What an idea? And, why should I do that because my time is FREE and he wouldn’t spend discussing paying for the invoice because his time is money! I’m surprised that BOSCH wouldn’t cover issues that its customer service or referred authorized service providers cannot figure out in just a few seconds considering it’s so trivial and BOSCH must come across such complaints on a day-to-day basis. BOSCH not only has a bad product with hazardous design in market but also has the worst customer service I have experienced till date. BOSCH’s R&D designs cooktops to cook with precision which means cook in hours and its customer service supervisor asks you to clean one burner at a time which means clean in hours too! On top of that BOSCH’s marketing team will spam your mailboxes with appliance service plan flyers every couple of week even when BOSCH neither covers the most basic operational issues nor has an efficient team of knowledgeable customer service or technical professionals to address them timely. What a shame!

The Bosch model SHV99A03/UC 14 is fabulous! It is quiet, a major advantage. Only a door spring pulley has broken in 12 years. The racks are large and easy to load. They fit all sizes of dishes and utensils. This will hold a very full load of dishes. We have the option for wood paneling that matches the oak cabinets. The door springs are strong, but the plastic pulleys are what broke. Bosch has redesigned them, so get the newer ones. They are a real challenge to replace, but there was some good video on YouTube showing how. Study first before you begin!

I had a very bad experience with Bosch. I bought a top-of-the-line Bosch stove about 9 years ago. Its been falling apart for the last 3-4 years. First the broiler stopped working, then the oven door wouldnt close, then a burner stopped working. I called Bosch expecting some level of service and care--after all Bosch prides itself on its reputation. I was told that I would need proof of purchase as well as an estimate of the costs and then maybe they would give me a 10-20% discount on parts. I expressed my dissatisfaction and I was told that after 9 years we are sorry that you feel that way. I explained my husband had been sick and died and that was why I had not called for repairs. Once again I was told sorry you feel that way. It was very dismissive and I will definitely not be buying a Bosch product again.

SHX46A05UC/14
SHX46A05UC/14 Dishwasher, 2004, paid $ 1,600.00 Stopped draining water, developed endless cycle, finally started to fill up with the water overflowing to my newly renovated kitchen. The quality of the cleaning was degrading slowly, leaving residues on glass and dishes.Bosch certified service showed up for just over $ 75/h, looking and playing with the washer for 2 hours; diagnosed, well nothing, they check in fact the water drainage path and remover a rubber part from the pump section, saying that I dont need that, and that this was perhaps the cause of the problem. After over $150 for service call, (no parts replaced = no 30 days warranty for the service) !!!... The next day, well, we have exact this same issue, cycle takes hours, no full water drainage. Service call, week later, different technicians, diagnosed for new control unit and quote for over $350. (for $500 I can get new dishwasher today, but my old $1600 unit should work for years - or not). Called Bosch, same response as for all of the people below. They couldnt care less. The Customer service from the service company concluded that I would be better off buying a new unit ! Great, that much about my love for Bosch, and we have the whole kitchen furnished with that junk. After short internet research, I found people helping step by step with similar issues, so I did take apart my unit, opened the controller, and found that it has overheated and damaged connection. No, is not that one under the recall, the recall one must cause house fire I guess! Cleaning the connection and re-soldering it helped, partially, it works now as it use to, but still fills with fresh water after is done, so I have to cut the water intake. Conclusion: I would spend $350 for a new part or service and still have another issue!!! Now, I need to take the intake valve apart to see if this is the real problem. Slowly, I am getting a master degree on Bosch dishwashers, and I promise to never buy one again.

After 2h 45mins on the phone and talking to 10(!) separate people with Wayfair and Bosch trying to get the dishwasher I ordered last Wednesday, that was supposed to arrive on Friday, that I then had to call to find out why it wasnt delivered on Friday, only to be told it was on a truck and could be delivered Sat, but Sat didnt work for us so the next available date was today (Wednesday - 5 days late), only for them to now tell me (after having to call back to find out why I hadnt heard anything about delivery), that there is no dishwasher until at best (!) early November!! I am APPALLED at the customer service from both Wayfair and Bosch in not stepping up to solve THEIR problem. When I called Bosch directly, they told me they couldnt talk to me and that I had to call Wayfair back (yet again). Complete runaround. Ultimately I was told that I should just cancel my order and order something else (like this was my fault!) without any offer to resolve the issue. And finally after 10 people, I still have no real sense if Bosch actually has any dishwashers in stock anywhere. While I wanted a Bosch based on reviews for quality, Im not planning on making ANY future orders. If I could give 0 stars I would. A complete waste of time and effort! STAY AWAY!!

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in Augus
I purchased a Bosch dishwasher model SHE45M05UC that was delivered in August 2009 from Freidmans Appliance in Pleasant Hill, CA. I had my last dishwasher, a Whirlpool for over 20 years without a single problem. Freidmans told me they were out of stock of the model that I originally ordered and substituted in the SHE45M05UC. I ordered the model just below this one. I noticed after I began using it that the rack continually got stuck even when I pushed it in very carefully. This caused many of my dishes to break when they clashed against each other as the rack jammed. I have a stack of cracked and chipped dishes, and have suffered a lot of damages. Freidmans did nothing to help me when I reported it to them. I didnt live in my house or use the dishwasher in 2010, I am the only one who uses it and I only run it about once a week or so. I also reported the problem to Purcell Murrays showroom in Brisbane and talked directly to one of the owners about it and he failed to replace the dishwasher. About a month ago towards the end of June, all of a sudden a huge amount of suds came poring out of the dishwasher as it was running. When I opened the dishwasher it was full of suds and full of water at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called Freidmans and spoke to Shannon who told me she would call Bosch service center to see what could be done and she would call me the following day. She never called me. I left several messages for her yet she failed to return my calls. I recall back in 2009 when I talked to Steve, the man who sold me the faulty dishwasher - he never would return my calls and he refused to exchange the dishwasher when I reported the fault with the rack that always sticks. I went into Freidmans yesterday to follow up because Shannon had failed to call me as she said she would and had not returned my calls. The salesman Steve had a little smile on his face as I discussed the issue with Shannon. Shannon again said shed call me the next day which was Monday, yet she didnt call the next day. Today I called for Mathew **, the store manager, just as I did back in 2009. Mathew does not ever return calls. I was told by Shannon that Mathew would call me in a few minutes and now one hour later he has not called me. I called a couple of times asking for Mathew and he would not come to the phone. I have used the dishwasher no more than 200 times in the past years and most of the time it is only half full and I run it on light. Now it does not work at all!! You dont want to do business with Freidmans in Pleasant Hill, CA and definitely dont want to purchase Bosch appliances. I know there is a class action lawsuit against Bosch for their washer dryers and I bet there are enough consumers with dishwasher problems to support a suit for the dishwasher defects. Bosch does not support or stand behind their products and Freidmans doesnt either. In fact I have never experienced such inconsideration for customers as I have at Freidmans. They are just about making a fast buck and could care less if their customer is ripped off. What do you say?

I bought my 800 series Bosch dishwasher a year and a half ago and while there were some bumps because I bought a used one from the Sears Discount Center the representatives were very prompt about repairing and then replacing my defective machine. Now that I have a functioning dishwasher it is not only my very favorite appliance of my house, it is one of my most beloved possessions. There are 10 people in my family and we are able to stack in a huge amount of dishes because the spacing of the racks are so well designed and the additional 3rd rack is able to accommodate all of the silverware. I have never had such clean dishes with so little pre-cleansing before I put the dishes in. There are times that still needs servicing due to the hard water in Arizona but once it is cleaned I am once again left with immaculately clean dishes every time, including my Bosch mixer which I can put in encrusted with dried bread dough and pots and pans. I am very disappointed to hear all of these awful reviews when truly it is the best appliance I have ever owned. All of my friends who have Bosch dishwashers feel the same way I do. There is no reason to buy any other brand. Do not let these bad experiences scare you away from a truly miraculous piece of equipment.

Bosch dishwashers have a upper spray arm that often falls off. They have a small easy to lose plug that holds it on. They will not let you just replace the plug or as a courtesy send you one. They force you to buy a new spray arm. You would think that this company would want to back up their products and replace a small plug at the cost of losing future customers. They do not care once you purchase their product but look for more ways to get more money. Very disappointed.

Purchased dishwasher 11 months ago and displayed error code E20. Bosch dispatched local tech who determined it needed over $600 in parts to repair. Tech also indicated they had absolutely no knowledge of how to repair a Bosch. Called customer support to ask why they wouldnt just replace since retail on the unit is only $800. They indicated they want to give it a shot with the tech. So now a tech with no experience is going to completely take apart a dishwasher in my home and hopefully it doesnt leak and destroy my house after hes done. Customer service was extremely unprofessional and rude. Stay away from Bosch. While they may have a record of low repairs. If you do have an issue they dont stand behind their product.

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

Purchased 2 dishwashers from Sears. One went to daughter. Hers broke down in first month of having it. Customer service gave us two repair companies to call. Repairman came out and had to call Bosch to have them walk through what to do in finding out what is wrong. Finally after a couple of calls, parts had to be ordered. I called customer service when I found out part was on backorder for 2 or more weeks. They explained part had just come in that day but would not go out to repair service for at least 10 days or so. I explained that she had the machine for about a month and now it is going to be out of service for that long. Customer service said they would expedite it. They would call and let us know it was on way. I had to call again because now a second or third part I didnt know about is on backorder. Has been 2 weeks and no one has let us know how things are going. Will not buy Bosch again. Customer service is pitiful. I worry my machine will break down now. Thought Bosch was a good company. I talked to so many customer service people and they didnt know what was going on. Talked to a manager and she was condescending and no help. No thanks, Bosch is worthless.

BOSCH SLIDE IN ELECTRIC RANGE. First off the Bosch range is beautiful. It can be described as understated elegance. The range is designed to seamlessly fit into the kitchen range opening without side gaps. No more dripping down the oven sides! The front detail which slightly covers the countertop edge makes it appear custom to our kitchen. But, the best part is how it cooks! Other reviewers complain about the “loud” convection oven fan. Well, if that fan is “loud” my hearing must be shot. The Whirlpool convection microwave which sits above my Bosch Range, is 3 times louder. The Bosch convection oven is very quiet in comparison.Since receiving my Bosch range I have used several cooking modes with great success: bake, multi bake, convection roast and convection bake. The oven is so well designed and insulated that all my dishes on the different modes were evenly cooked and delicious. The cooktop also performed. I have tried all the burners and even the warm feature. Alas, I have yet to use the warming drawer. However, based on everything else I tried, I am confident that the warming drawer will be fantastic.I recommend you read the oven instructions to get the most out of this beautiful range. When using the cooktop be careful not to slide pots and pans over the burners. Make sure the outside of all pots and pans are clean, dry, and flat. This will save the glass cooktop from scratches. And note, all glass cooktops are susceptible to scratches. The Bosch Instruction Manual also gives cookware tips which are worth trying. I bought flat cookie sheets (no sides) as suggested by Bosch. My cookies came out of the oven perfect and delicious. When shopping for a new range don’t overlook this Bosch appliance. However, be aware you must carefully measure your oven opening to get a great, custom fit. If you are building a new kitchen, request your contractor build the space to perfectly accommodate your new range. You will love the look and love your new Bosch Range! Oh and did I mention the stainless steel resists fingerprints? Just one more reason why I love my new range!

I bought this oven in Jul 2011. Over the past year the grill filament started to warp. It is now extremely warped and quite dangerous, soon likely to snap, and then the oven will be unusable. This has happened through normal and moderate use of the product. I have contacted Bosch (it took many many emails to get a reply) and they say they dont view it as a product fault or design defect, but as an isolated incident. They wont repair it for free, as I requested, but instead demand around 100 to repair it.I bought a Bosch oven specifically because I wanted a quality product - I paid for the brand name. I expected 10 years of use (my last cooker lasted 20 years) but I get a measly 3 -3.5 years and Bosch think this is reasonable. I dont think thats good quality by a long stretch, and I dont see how or why Bosch should be known for their reliability.

Have had my Bosch front loader clothes washer for over 5 years. Bought it because I wanted to do my part to minimize my foot print in water usage. Yep. A pain the whole time. My saving grace on major repairs is that I bought an extended warranty thru Lowes, although theyve had trouble getting the right part from Bosch. (Certified Bosch repair is expensive and not readily available even in Houston.) Dryer has not been QUITE the pain of the washer. It does dry close really well. Just breaks down once a year and tangles your clothes.Longest wash cycle I have EVER seen... 45-60 minutes. The spin cycle works well enough, but your clothes get all tangled together, so they are more wrinkled. (So the efficiency of the dryer didnt speed up laundry duties. Dryer sits empty while I wait on the washer to finish... the opposite of washers and dryers of the past.) Right off the bat, the washer began to smell and the clothes, too. (Everyone must know this by now. Four years later, Tide comes out with a washing machine cleaner. Now the machine to clean my clothes needs a cleaner!!) Called for warranty work. Of course, they said it was MY fault. Too much detergent. NO. Wrong detergent. NO. Too large a load. NO. Too much fabric softener. NO. Well, then they say, leave it open between washes and run an empty wash with Clorox every few days. Excuse me? THIS is saving water??? Have to use a bleaching scrub and bristled brush to clean the rubber gasket around the door from the mold and mildew every couple of months, and run an empty wash to clean it before washing clothes again. (What do you think it looks like INSIDE where I cant see or reach???) So, we NEVER leave a washed load in for more than an hour, because it will need washing again.) Also run a bleach wash at least once a week (another delay), as a preventative measure, and supplement with small amount of baking soda. AND the clothes often dont smell clean. EVERY spot needs pre-treating. Towels are particularly tough to get smelling clean, and often the hand towels dont come clean in the most used areas.About every fifth wash load, the finished load is soaking wet. Since I cant tell when it malfunctioned, and if it did so with detergent in it (low sudsing detergent), I have to wash the load again. Another hour-long delay. P.S. Front loaders need to be raised, set up on a platform. Extra expense in purchase (and delivery and tax). You STILL have to lean down to drag the wet clothes out, and it locks you out (as it would have to) so you can never add a last minute item of clothing or extra cleaning product. Now, my start button is beginning to be difficult to press to start the process. AHHH! Well, I am off to read other blogs on other washers. Hubbie says GET ANOTHER WASHER! We have struggled long enough. And the Lowes warranty is expired. I will dismantle this one so that no one can ever get stuck with it.

Complaint sent in December 2016. After being on hold for 20 minutes spoke with a unconcerned/unkind Caleb ** head manager (or so I was told) of the appliance department. We have a Bosch dishwasher, where basically the upper and lower racks are disintegrating due to rust. The machine is still fairly new, and is run only with your recommended Finish products. The plastic coating on the racks appear to crack and scale off, exposing rusted/rotten metal underneath, something that does not appear to reflect the product quality one would expect from Bosch. It is frankly surprising as we thought we had purchased a quality German appliance like the many other Miele products we have in the house. The damage is on both upper and lower racks, so if I were to guess, I would attribute this to a poor/wrong coating on the steel racks. The damage is not caused by chips caused by loading/un-loading the machine. Boschs reply.. We will give you 20% off new racks as customer goodwill. When carefully ordering a product with a reputation for quality I would have expected them to have more concern when their appliances fail. Super disappointed and will not be buying or recommending another Bosch appliance in the future.

I moved into a condo last April and the drum is already broken on the dryer. I bought my Bosch on 3/13/2011. I began to smell an unpleasant odor a day after washing a load of dishes. It smelled like sewer. I called Bosch, they said the drain line was hooked up wrong. My husband checked and it was like they said it should be. I had the repair department from Lowes to come out. He replaced the drain hose, checked everything else and said I was good to go. He said I was using too much detergent. I did what he said about cleaning it and changed detergents and it still is smelling. I have had dishwashers for 40 years and never had this problem with any of them. Can you help me with this? I love the quietness of the Bosch, but cant live with the odor.

I purchased this washer to replace a failing stacked washer/dryer combo. I bought the Bosch set because the dryer is ventless and this just fits my townhouse better. First off, this washer is designed to plug into the back of the matching dryer (Only one 240V outlet is needed!) So far so good with this washer's results. It is very quiet and efficient. The matching dryer, while ventless still dries VERY well. I am surprised as Bosch's claim of only 8% slower than a vented dryer seems to be very accurate. This washer is designed to fit 10-14lbs of laundry per load and I can attest this is accurate and is efficient while washing and drying. The dryer will take some getting used to and messing around with the proper settings but once you figure it out it's a cinch! This is an absolutely GREAT product.

A few years ago we bought Bosch green dishwasher. That means it uses relatively low (below 100C) temperature to wash and dry. Thus various microbes are not killed and the dishwasher sanitized. Stupidly we believed the hype about Bosch products. Dishwasher was too small for regular size dishes, who knew, Bosch dishwashers were built for the smaller European dishes. Washing cycles were hours in length, no such thing as a quick wash! Had to be replaced after 5 years with a Kitchen Aid which works fine. Front loading washer (supposedly top of the line) needs to be wiped down after each use, and propped open to prevent mold. Cant run spin cycle only when necessary. Would sure like that feature since the washer doesnt always get all the water out of the load. Plastic window cracked and came off the frame almost to the day after the warranty expired. The scotch tape looks so attractive holding the plastic window in place. And the dryer WOW what a poorly engineered appliance. The door fell off! Thank goodness for YouTube where my husband found instructions to order the door part and to repair the door. And, I just love cleaning the entire length of the filter after 2 or 3 loads because the filter and I use that term loosely doesnt filter. Lint, etc. gets stuck at entrance to the filter and also on the other side of the filter and BTW the filter needs to be washed about once a month because the filter screen gets covered with something. When we had the repairman out to repair the heating element I mentioned the filter problem and he said he heard that complaint a lot. Fix it! And thank you very much Ill decide when the clothes are dry not the dryer which 9 times out of 10 cases, the clothes arent dry and Ill decide if I want to use the wrinkle free function not the dryer which again is trying to prevent wrinkles in damp clothes. Hello, Bosch, you get wrinkles in damp clothes! Never again will we buy a Bosch product, they are the worse.

My children and I nearly lost our lives 3 nights ago in a fire. I went to bed after turning on my premium Bosch dishwasher. I am deaf in one ear. I went to sleep and heard/smelled nothing. Suddenly my 12 year-old daughter came running into my room yelling that there was a fire in the kitchen. I ran down and saw 3 foot flames coming out of the dishwasher. Thank god I had a fire extinguisher, which I had taught myself to use after seeing a Dateline story years ago that most Americans who have extinguishers dont know how to use them. We are now displaced temporarily from our apartment for at least 2-3 weeks during clean-up and without a kitchen for 3-4 months. If one more minute had passed, I would not have been able to reach the extinguisher on the counter and would have lost everything. If my daughter had not been so alert or there, I/we would have died. What makes me angry is that Bosch KNOWS these dishwashers may catch on fire. There is a voluntary recall posted deep in their site for models from 1999-2005 for a very rare ability to inflame. They have made little effort to contact consumers directly. If you google, you will see that the international news media is starting to notice.

We called Bosch when our 2 1/2 year old dishwasher broke. Their service dept. had a 2 week wait so they recommended authorized service providers with Mr. Appliance at the top of the list. We called Mr. Appliance and told them of the error code displayed and requested service for a broken drain pump. They came, charged us $170 and didnt bring the part. Then they sent a $600 quote to fix the unit. I called Bosch because at this point I could buy a new dishwasher. After some back and forth they offered to pay for the part and Id pay for the labor. Mr. Appliance hadnt broken out the quote, Bosch said the part was $36. Bosch offered to call Mr. Appliance which they did but to no avail. Still a $600 job.Bosch charges a set fee ($129) then another $30 per 15 minutes. They had no information about how long it should take to install the part. They offered me 2 additional authorized repair companies. One was out of business and the other had horrendous reviews. I called an unauthorized company in my neighborhood with excellent reviews and they will do the job for $198 plus the part. Bosch refused to sell me the part or sell it to the unauthorized repair company.First of all, the unit should not break after 2 years of use by empty nesters who barely use the dishwasher. They should make a better quality product and stand by their brand with more than a free part. Secondly, Bosch needs to review their requirements for authorizing repair companies. They should consider pricing and reviews to hold these companies accountable in exchange for giving them so much business. It should not cost more than the price of a new unit to replace a common part. I will not buy another Bosch!

The stainless steel front of the range oven (which must weigh about 5 lbs) which covers the entire door came off and almost broke my toes. The range trim plastic piece which holds the glass onto the oven front broke. We had Sears come out to fix it and they said it was loose and screwed it back on. Then the glass front again fell off, luckily when I was not there. Then we bought $200 worth of new plastic trim pieces and screws from Bosch authorized dealer. Again, the front of the heavy stainless steel door came off. Now, Im just throwing this horror range oven which wants to cut my toes off. We bought our Bosch Dishwasher from Appliances Connection 2/12/2012, it arrived on 2/22/2012. Our contractor hooked it up on 2/27/2012, he ran a rinse cycle all seemed fine. We ran our first real dishwasher load on the 27th and it kept showing an E-15 error, the dishwasher did not ever finish the first real job. We called Appliances Connection, they told us this is a Bosch problem and they must do the repair work per the warranty. We have had two repair dates with the authorized Bosch repair technician. On March 6th, the Bosch repair tech said that it must be the pump that needs to be replaced. He also confirmed our plumber had made all the correct water connections. On March 14th, another Bosch repair tech came and worked over 2 hours on the dishwasher and could not get it fixed. We contacted Bosch and discussed the problem with their associate. We requested a replacement of our new dishwasher immediately. They made it clear this was not going to happen, as it is new and they will continue to repair until corrected. This is not right! This dishwasher is a lemon. We paid $866 for this machine and almost a month later, we still have only a broken down, unusable dishwasher. (For us that is an incredible amount of money as we are both senior citizens.) Even the repair technicians were frustrated with the way they were communicated to by the Bosch technologist who was giving them instructions on how to fix the machine (they do not have a repair booklet even for their authorized repair techs). I am totally unhappy and disgusted with their service. They should not be allowed to let their customers be held hostage to a brand new, broken dishwasher. What is our recourse now? Please help me in any way to make this right. I see your box below, we cannot afford an attorney. Thank you.

On December 2, 2019 dishwasher quit working. Called Bosch and was referred to factory certified repair company. Repairman came and looked at dishwasher on January 2, 2020. He took a look at the washer and said it had burned out the junction box just like all the recall units he had replaced. He went back to shop and the people contacted bosch about the washer. They wanted documentation like proof of purchase. We provided and heard nothing from bosch.I contacted bosch the next week and they said they had no paperwork and contacted the shop. While I was on hold, the shop sent paperwork again right away and then I was told I had to provide pictures. Contacted bosch again the next week and they said they had no paperwork even after providing case number. After 45 minutes on phone they said they might replace parts but tough luck, we paid $1000 for a washer that doesnt work and was purchased in May of 2017. Terrible Customer Service if you can call it that. I have another way of putting it but it is not suitable to be printed would not buy bosch again and will actively discourage anybody from buying.

You do not need to pre-wash or rinse before washing. The dishes get very clean and dry as well with no streaks. It is the quietest dishwasher as well, most times you don’t even know it’s on. There are different racks for fine china, wine glasses and knives.
