I had a Thermador kitchen for more than 25 years and I was very happy with their products; I had a Thermador slide-in range with downdraft vent and a dishwasher and a KitchenAid refrigerator, but it was time to upgrade. Now, I upgraded my whole kitchen with all Dacor products and I am super happy, my 30 inch range top has extra wide grates which allows my wife to cook with extra large pans when she prepares food for donation, my updraft vent catches smoke and grease much better than my downdraft, my refrigeration is very nice looking with french door and middle refrigeration for my cold drinks and my dishwasher is very quiet. I invited a few friends home and they have admire my new kitchen. It has been more than months since I bought it and no problems.

I rarely write reviews but when I found your site, I decided it was time to vent. I bought a 36 dual fuel, convection Epicure range in 1999. It was not a cheap oven and I was excited at the possibilities of having a 16,000 BTU broiler and large oven cavity to work with. Lets just say that excitement quickly wore off. Almost immediately after the range went out of warranty, the ignitors went bad and we also had to replace the control panel ($400 in repairs was a lot back then). After that, we continued to have ignitor problems and replaced them again. Finally, I just stopped doing it and lit them with my aim and flame. I never allow my children to cook on the stove because I am afraid they will be burned. Most recently, my broiler element, relay board and again more ignitor problems ($1,200 in repairs). Not to mention, the repairman had a terrible time trying to access all the areas and was at my house for 4 hours trying to do so. When the initial problems happened, I emailed, phoned, left message, etc. to no avail with customer service (I use that term loosely). This company is the worst. I have told everyone I know never to buy a Dacor anything. Next time, Ill buy a Wolf.

My Dacor Preference 30 double wall oven (model PCD227R) was installed on 5-14-2004. On 12-31-2007, I replaced the upper oven high limit switch for cost $146.56. On 5-19-2010, I reset the lower oven high limit switch for cost $95.00. On 8-27-11, I replaced main control panel (Bezel Assembly), whose parts cost $271.10. On 12-14-2011, I replaced the main relay board for $214.02. On 1-16-2012, I replaced main relay board again, and it is under warranty. On 2-3-12, I replaced upper oven temperature sensor for $32.09. I am awaiting authorized Dacor service technician to calibrate both ovens.

I bought a Dacor appliance package for a new custom home which costs over $30K+. Every single piece of appliance is defective. I am OK as long as Dacor can fix or address the issues but it takes them several visits, put the appliance out of order and fixing it does not happen any earlier than 8-10 Weeks. Imagine you living with a fridge, microwave, range and oven for 10+ weeks. The column freezer stops making ice. I call for service and tech informs the lever was jam and he fixed it. Wait 48 hours. After 48 hours still no ice. Another call and after a wait of 3 weeks another visit and diagnose need new part. Wait for part 4+ weeks and another 3+ weeks for replacement. Fridge does not cool and maintains temp 45 degree+. Service tech showed up 3 times and promised it is fixed. Have thrown out thousands of dollars worth food. To date I dont have it fixed. Waiting for a part, tech not available scheduling issues etc. To date I have been out of fridge (8/12/2021) 9 weeks from I made the first call. Currently I have a tech scheduled for 9/1/21.This is not the end. Microwave will run normally and wont heat the food. After several phone call and waiting they figured the door pin was not connecting properly and need parts to fix. After 10+ MONTHS it looks like it is fixed. The range control panel is hanging from underneath and no one seems to care to fix it. Every time I call they tell me its normal. I believe Dacor has not QA/QC in place prior to shipping the appliances to customer. Worst experience ever. If you need more details do not hesitate to call me on **. I hope you run away from Dacor. Dont even consider this option. I have a track of all phone call and email and timeline with Dacor service. I am planning to file a lawsuit and recoup some of the costs and losses.

Dacor double oven range turns off by itself while baking - Disappointed in
Dacor double oven range turns off by itself while baking - Disappointed in Dacor, especially today. Thanksgiving 2016: baking turkey. Sill baking turkey. I dont know when the oven decided to switch off this time, but I have an uncooked turkey and guests waiting. The oven has done this before, but because it was new I thought it was user error. Nope, the damn oven mysteriously turns off on its own. Incredibly irritated with Dacor. The range hood we also purchased is a joke. We remodeled our kitchen 1 year ago and wanted quality appliances. Bad move. Save your money, folks. Save your money.UPDATED ON 03/10/2017: Dacor sent a company out to fix the broken new oven. Oven still cannot hold its temperature (It takes FOREVER to heat then loses its heat while still showing a high temp). This time I have a recording on what happens when the oven automatically switches off. Disappointing when we spent nearly $10,000 in Dacor appliances for a kitchen remodel. DACOR, please have a rep contact me!!! Still waiting to hear back!!!

Purchased home with installed Dacor double oven. Oven wouldnt reach set temperature, so replaced control board. Doable, but a real hassle to remove oven from wall opening and label, disconnect, and reconnect 20-something wires. Two years later, the clock cannot take the correct time and oven timers do not work. Only fix: replacing the $300 control board again. I cannot recommend that anyone purchase these appliances as the control boards simply do not work for more than a couple of years.

We thought we were getting a premium appliance, but after less than a year and just before the holidays it quit with a code on the control panel we couldnt find in the owners manual. We had a serviceman out and the cost of the part and the service call was more than we paid for the oven! It now sits there, useless and a reminder to never buy Dacor anything!

I have been calling every appliance repair company authorized by Dacor to repair mystery problem. No one knows how to fix the problem, even Dacor. Both ovens stop heating during long baking times. I cannot bake anything longer than one hour, temperature drops to 290 or lower. You think your turkey is cooking but 4 hours later, it is nice and raw! Company should offer to repair or recall all stoves with double ovens.

When I pay top-dollars for a supposedly high-end product, I would expect performance and durability. That is not the case with Dacor. This manufacturer charges top-dollars for their appliances but their products do not live up to expectations. I purchased a Dacor gas cooktop range, and within a year several blue-indicator lights on the knobs (which indicate the gas is on) failed. At that time it was covered under warranty, and even then it was a hassle to get the repair technician to come out and take the range out to get to the electronic parts. After replacing two of the lights, the other lights failed as well, and then the replaced lights eventually went out. Now, only one out of the five lights work. After a year, the appliance is no longer under warranty, and it is too expensive to get it serviced. Its not only a cosmetic issue, but a safety one as well. Were in the market for a single wall-oven, and I considered a Dacor for its clean and stylish design. However, after reading the reviews about Dacor, Im veering away from this company. Sadly, as much as I want to support a Made in America company, the pride of workmanship and customer service doesnt live up to this companys branding.

This is the second time I have purchased these appliances and unfortunately
This is the second time I have purchased these appliances and unfortunately each one has been a great disappointment. I have spent enough in repair bills to almost purchase a warming drawer. Each one shuts down when the self clean button is turned on, and then I have to call a repairman out to recalibrate the oven to work each time I try to use the self clean. I was told by the last repairman that the life of the oven is greatly shortened if you the self clean mode. If this is the case, either fix it or take out this mode. After I had the oven about a year the oven door glass blew out, and this had to be replaced. The temperature in the oven is very unreliable in different areas of the oven and browns more on one side than the other... For the high end cost of these ovens, I would just as soon have a basic oven that works and does not go out every few months. What a waste of money I consider Dacor to be, and will never recommend it to anyone I know. I am in the personal shopping business and have my own company, but will tell my clients to be very aware of the high cost/low performance of Dacor products... On a scale of 1 to 10, Dacor gets a 1.

We purchased this range after remodeling our kitchen. We opted for the Dacor because of the deep oven that the other high end ovens did not have. I am an avid baker so this was a plus. After a year and half the oven stopped working, it was not getting hot. Thankfully is was still under warranty and it was repaired. The technician determined it was the oven control thermostat that was not working. Fast forward two years and again the same problem, along with the right front burner now also not working. And wouldnt you know it, the warranty is expired. Another technician came out again and stated to fixed the two problems it would be approx $250.00 just for labor and not including parts. CRAZY INSANE!!! If we would have known all the problems and we would have purchased either a Wolf, a Thermador or even a Monogram. How can so many issues and problems be happening with an range that is only 4 years old? Especially one that costs over $6000. It has to be a lemon or poorly manufactured. Ive contacted Dacor and was told they need to review my file to make a determination on what they want to do. REALLY, you dont need to be a rocket scientist to know there is a problem. Theres lemon laws for cars, why not appliances????

Our 10 year old Dacor microwave finally passed on, so I ordered this model, as it fits into the existing trim kit. It is basically the same model I had before, without all the "digital" screen display and the "tune" that played when the food was done. It still does multiple steps at different percentages and, instead of hitting time, percentage and start, you select time, and repeatedly press the "power setting" button multiple times to arrive at your desired percentage (it steps down from 100%), then press start. It's also an 1100 watt unit where our previous one was 1200 watts. I don't notice any difference. It has a "cobalt" blue display. There are many "preset" buttons for things like Pizza, Popcorn, etc. Love our new Dacor!

Dacor refuses to take responsibility for defects in their products. Our wall oven required two cooling fan motors and two relay boards over a relatively short period of time. In addition, all of the sensors had to be hard wired when the oven stopped working, and our service technician was informed by Dacor that moisture tended to get into the sensors on these ovens. We spent nearly $1500 on these repairs. Reaching a customer care representative at Dacor can take upwards of 20 minutes. Phone calls are not returned. Customers are left to pay the cost of defects in Dacor products.

I purchased my first Dacor appliances in 1991, built a second house in 2005 and again purchased Dacor double ovens and a cooktop. Loved them! Remodeled my current home and again purchased the double ovens and a cooktop. The double oven, DTO230FS, which was installed in November 2015, 4 years ago, stopped working. I was roasting asparagus and we smelled what seemed to be burning plastic. The oven is used about 4 times a month, I have never used the self cleaning feature therefore it is surprising that it broke. The repairman said that the relay board was bad and will need to order the part. He estimates that it will be $600 to fix it. Sad that I need to incur the repair cost of an oven that is only 4 years old.

We installed 2 Dacor wall ovens, a 5-burner cooktop, and a downdraft fan in 2000. The convection ovens bake perfectly and have performed without fail. After 7 to 8 years of daily use, we did have to replace the door hinge on the oven I use most often. We are in a rural area so the repairs are accomplished through Sears. The replacement parts arrived in a timely manner and the oven has worked perfectly since. The cooktop is easy to clean and the heat is even. The downdraft fan is effective and easy to clean. I would be confident to recommend Dacor products.

The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house
The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house in 2010. I would never buy any Dacor product again. I will have to look for a replacement for the gas cooktop range. The Dacor gas cooktop is OK except that EVERY time you turn on a burner, one or two of other igniters start clicking and wont stop until you find which one it is (not always the same) and turn it on and off. Please heed this and all the other warnings from the choir. DO NOT BUY DACOR!It is all very expensive junk. The oven temperatures fluctuate while baking. The oven range unit is out of warranty. So our home warranty AHS covered it but they kept sending out the same grubby slob who never fixed the problem but did charge us for the $75.00 service fee. They replaced the oven controller and the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. We have a full size oven that we cannot use! Then F1 beeping nonstop, and we have to turn power off to stop it. Now, out of the blue the downdraft fan just started extending and retracting over and over again with no way to stop it without going back to the electrical panel and flipping the breaker that it is wired into. That leaves us with no kitchen and no bathroom plugs! I hung up after 35 minutes on hold. I was just trying to find a certified technician in Bend, OR. We remodeled our kitchen because my wife is a chef. So we thought a full suite of Dacor products was just what she needed. What a mistake! Our $6000 36-inch dual-fuel range had problems from the start. We had to replace the control panel, heating element, convection fan, and door seal. Finally, the liner split and the range became unrepairable. We made the mistake of purchasing a simpler, gas-only range because Dacor offered a modest discount. This $7000 range lasted four months before a failure in the wiring harness made it unrepairable!! We bought a Miele replacement. Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range and Microwave - Where to begin? Perhaps at the end is best. Dacor appliances are shoddy, unreliable, outrageously expensive to repair and there is no customer support. That about covers it. We bought the above noted pair during our kitchen renovations 8 years ago. We thought that Dacor was a premium brand that would give us long trouble free service. How wrong we were! The only thing Premium about them is the price. 4 years ago, the microwave door refused to latch. Thanks to YouTube, I found out how to remove the door backing and found that the plastic part that comprised the latch was broken. Dacor was contacted - they no longer had the part. Try the open market I was told. I managed to jury rig a repair by using a wooden shim. 3 years ago, the range packed it in. Another repair - this time I was told it was the circuit board that had failed and which was replaced to the tune of $700 and I was cautioned that the second circuit board was not working very well - the interior light would not illuminate and the blue lights indicating a lit burner didnt work, and I should change it too. The smaller circuit board was costed out at $400. Last week, the door latch motor failed and the range began to beep incessantly. Now the oven cannot be used and repair costs quoted over the phone were in the 1000$ range. Thats it for us. Dacor is junk and belongs where its headed - the junkyard. Dont buy Dacor. Live and learn I guess.

I have a induction Dacor stovetop. Its stopped working and blinks an error code. Called customer service who didnt know what the code meant. I was told my model was 2015 which the rep said was old. It was installed in 2017. All they would offer was cheaper replacement parts if I paid for someone to come and figure out what the problem was and install the parts. I was told the replacement parts were not cheap though. I was told that because were the second owner of the house they couldnt fix it under warranty (even though it should be covered under warranty) because they couldnt say how it was used before (commercially or residentially). Give me a break! It gives me almost no confidence in getting this thing fixed. Warranty is a joke and customer service is terrible. We bought a 36 inch Dacor range with oven last year, around September, when we moved in to our new house. We tried to turn the oven on Thanksgiving day for 10 people, but it would not work. We called for service, and they replaced the circuit board. The repairman turned the oven on, and it worked fine. We never used the oven, just the burners on top, because we have a second smaller oven, we like to use for every day cooking. Then came Christmas day, and we were having 30 people over, so we went to turn on the Dacor oven, but to our horror, it did not work again. We have owned this oven for a little over a year, and have tried to use it only twice. In that time, both on holidays, with a lot of people to feed. This time, when I called for service, they told me I will be charged $198, because when they tried to get Dacor to drop that charge, they said no. We are very disappointed in Dacor for not caring more about the customer.

We have enjoyed our Dacor oven for a number of years but cannot recommend this brand due to high cost and frequency of repairs. The relay board, at $400 a pop parts cost only, has had to be replaced twice within 5 years. The oven door hinges failed in normal use so that the door would not close tightly and had to be replaced. The halogen oven lights fail frequently requiring replacement. Parts cost is only part of the issue. The inconvenience of not being able to use the oven for extended periods of time and high appliance repair labor costs are significant. All in all, a very good oven but reliability and frequency of expensive repairs lead us to not recommend Dacor ovens.

We had problems with it all the time. The front plastic cracked and ended up causing the oven not to work. We have spent (over the past 9 years) about $1,000 on repairs. Now, we just had it fixed and our new clock that was installed into the oven is running fast. After just being fixed, it takes 20 minutes to heat up to 400. Honestly, it always has been that way. We’re not happy with it at all. We bought a Sears brand oven for our church, and it works great, and the cost was only a third of what we paid for the Dacor oven. The Sears brand bakes just as good as the Dacor (when it works). I think it was a waste of money to buy this Dacor oven.

In 2008, I purchased my dream home and had the opportunity to build my kitchen from scratch. At the time, I shopped Viking, Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Dacor. I made an appointment to tour the Dacor showroom and was blown away by the aesthetics and advertised performance of their line. I made the decision to fill my kitchen with Dacor products: dishwasher (ED24SCH), dual range (ER48DSCH), range hood (EH4818SCH), fridge, and microwave (DMT2420). To date, the fridge is the only appliance that has not malfunctioned. Within the first month, the microwave blew a fuse (covered by warranty). Within the first 6 months, the dishwashers motherboard blew (also covered by warranty).Since the 1-year warranties have expired, the range hoods electrical unit malfunctioned and ceased working properly ($400-plus in repair). The motherboard on the dishwasher has gone out twice ($1200-plus). The dishwasher rack has completely rusted and the wheels have fallen off ($800 to replace). The lights on my oven dial is out and the glass bottom inside the oven that covers the heating element has cracked (nothing has been spilled or dropped). In fact, I only use that side for Thanksgiving. I am extremely bummed (to say the least) and I feel that the products that I was sold do not live up to the quality level that they advertise. Additionally, the replacement parts are obscenely expensive, and at this time it makes more sense to replace the units rather than dump more money into a pit.

We bought a whole new kitchen's worth of Dacor appliances - the Modernist line. It's too soon to review their performance, but so far they work well and look fabulous. Most importantly, I had an issue registering my appliances for warranty. I wouldn't have even known if they hadn't done it for me. So far, I'd say that they have stellar customer service. When researching online before making the choice to go with Dacor, I had trouble finding information and reviews. When we recently remodeled our kitchen, we replaced our Dacor double ovens that we had had for 15 years. These were great ovens and not one problem with fairly heavy use, so we bought the Dacor Modernist double ovens. The ovens are usable, but they are the worst engineered product I have ever experienced. First, there is no clock on the stove because as I was told the clock would etch the screen if it was on 24 hours a day. Second, the sound the timer makes is so soft, even on the loudest setting, cannot be heard in any room but the kitchen, so I paid a premium price to carry a timer with me, so I know when my oven is done baking. Third, if I turn the oven light on, the timer either stops completely, or it resets to the original time. Fourth, the oven buzzes when it is cooking. Fifth the user manual is useless and there is no video or online information on how to use this oven that is not user friendly. Finally, I have talked to Dacor and have had the repair person here, but he knew nothing about this oven. I am sorry every time that I use this oven that I did not buy my other choice, which was the Woof double ovens, but we thought this would be wonderful product, like the wonderful product that our previous ovens were. We also thought Dacor was a family company, but is now owned by Samsung. What a disappoint these ovens have been. The engineering for this product is a disgrace for any company and I no longer see the Modernist products advertised and it may be because it is such a poorly designed product. I never met a computer that I did not love, but this is not the electronic wonder that was advertised when we bought the ovens.

We used a new Dacor range vent only to have it go on and off. We called Dacor and they referred us to Desert Tech in La Quinta. The owner came out and said we needed a new unit for $775. We said just unplug it. He charged us $275 even though it took him less than 30 minutes. Stay away from Dacor AND Desert Tech!

We purchased a DACOR double wall oven (MOH2275) in April 2012. We are waiting for service to arrive for the fourth time since we purchased the oven. I find this unacceptable. We have had 2 other ovens in the last 30 years and they did not need any service. In general I have found appliances to be of such reliability that I dont get extended warranties. DACOR gave a 3 year warranty on this oven and now I know why. Hopefully this service will fix it for a long period of time.On the positive side, the oven really works well. It is so well insulated that we feel very little heat coming off it. One serious flaw its overall operation is the reheating of the oven. If I bake something at 350 degrees and then want to reset the over to 450 degrees, the oven does not go into preheat mode and does not let you know when you reach the required temperature. I am hopeful this will last awhile and not have to be replaced for what we paid for it.

Like many of you on this site, when we remodeled our kitchen in 2000, I researched and decided to shell out the extra money for the highly recommended and higher priced Dacor everything. We got a double oven, glass 30 cooktop and an exhaust fan. 12+ years later, I wish I had bought GE! My ovens have had so many problems I cant even count. Basically, the temperature doesnt hold correctly. I have used oven thermometers and my husbands fancy gauge to check temp. I had a whole transformer and control panel changed out in hopes that it would correct the problem, but it didnt. I think it has something to do with the self-cleaning. I think it gets so hot that it fries the controller. I never use the broiler so its not like I left the door open and wasnt supposed to. This afternoon I set the oven to preheat to 350. I set my little cakes inside that I was making with my grandson. About 5 minutes later, it smelled like something was burning so I checked the little cakes. They were already charring on top and then I noticed that the top element was fiery red, basically on broil! What the heck?! This is ridiculous! Im not going to spend another $500 for another repair! I am waiting to see what the repairman says.On another note, my stovetop cracked twice! The last time, Dacor was nice enough to sell one to me at cost and my husband was able to install it. It didnt match the old one and I was told by Dacor that they dont make them anymore and that is made by a third party supplier now. The old one had a textured finish and this one is just very shiny and scratches so easily! I hate it. We also had a retractable exhaust fan put in because the stovetop is in an island. Every time I turn it on, my basement smells like whatever is cooking. Now the buttons dont work anymore. That is unless I jab them so hard with a sharp object that it finally makes enough contact to work! This is another part that we got at cost that my husband had to crawl around and repair that still doesnt work. So, all three Dacor appliances we bought have turned out to be very disappointing purchases. Dacor should stand behind their products better, offer longer warranties or better yet, build better products! I would never recommend these products to anyone!

We have a Dacor Epicure 36 six burner range. It has been a regular source of trouble since it was installed as part of a kitchen remodel in 2006. The igniter for the broiler went out 18-24 months after we got the oven. A year or so after that the weld that holds the bottom oven rack bracket to the oven itself popped loose making it impossible to use the lowest rack position in the oven. Last year the circuit board that controls, among other things, turning the bottom oven element on stopped working. Not only is the board itself quite expensive, but it is buried deep under the top of the stove taking lots of expensive hours of repair time to remove and replace. And now the burner igniters have begun to over spark (e.g., continue to click long after the burner has been lit, burners sparking that have not been turned on). The repairman tells me that is a different circuit board so we could be heading to another $500 or so in repair bills or perhaps a trip to the dump and a much cheaper replacement range. We have had other Dacor equipment (cooktop, wall oven, warming drawer) and have not had a problem with any of them. But given our experience with the Epicure I cant imagine ever buying another.

I wish I had read all these reviews of Dacor products before being duped into paying for a high end wall oven. As many others have mentioned, the electronic panel design is faulty. I paid $1000 to have it replaced once. Now it is broken again and the alarm beeps constantly. The reply from their service rep was that they havent had any recalls of this product (in other words, no ones house has burned down yet). He also admits that he wouldnt buy a Dacor oven unless he had money to burn. Well, my money has already burned and so have I.

Regarding my previous complaint on 3/21/12, I had a Dacor fridge, model #EF42BDCBSS, installed in my brand new kitchen in March 2008 (Ive a kitchen full of Dacor). It subsequently had a problem with the drip pan in March 2009 and was fixed on warranty. Come March 2012, the fridge was again diagnosed with the same problem. The technician told me there had been a design problem, but after three re-designs, it was remedied and should have no further problems once the new part was installed. The bill, $658 and more than half, was for the part! Of course, I was livid because the fridge had been fixed in 2009 and was now off warranty. When I expressed myself originally, I was simply venting about the price of the repair without hope of a remedy. James at Dacor customer service called me promptly that next morning and left a message! We subsequently talked and he immediately got in touch with my local appliance service center. He not only worked out with them refunding my deposit for the part but also ordered two other parts that were necessary in order to fix the problem. The outcome? They fixed my fridge at no charge to me for parts or labor, and all I had to pay was the original trip and diagnosis charge. I cant begin to tell you how extremely happy and grateful I am about this. Thank you, James, for such terrific follow-through and thank you Dacor for being a top-notch business who stands behind your products!

The glass plate in the bottom of the oven has been a disaster from day one. Anything that drops on it leaves a white mark that is impossible to remove. It finally became so discolored that I had to have it replaced; over$100 for glass and factory-trained repairman charged $285 to install, a ten-minute job. I wish someone had told me of the problems before I spent over $5,000 on a range which should be useable, not just pretty to look at which also doesnt happen when the oven is all stained. Burners are tinny and dont begin to compare with the Thermador I have in my other home. I will never purchase another Dacor product.

Talked into spending $4700 on a wall oven on the recommendation of an appliance retailer. My concern was even baking and reliability. Was told I would be very happy as Dacor was best on the market. Well long story short, it never cooked evenly and after 8 years quit working. Had to lug the heavy oven to the city to an approved service provider. They thought it was the relay board (told the brains of the oven). Service provider changed several things (sensors, board and whatever else). Nothing solved problem. Phoned me and said I was looking at minimum $2000 and up. He threw oven in garbage. We didn’t even send the gas money to bring the dud home.Thought it should last longer than 8 years. I phoned Dacor. They wanted to know exactly what the problem and diagnosis was so I told them to phone the Service Provider. Said they would but I had to email copy of receipt which I did. A couple of months gone by and never heard a thing and they are not responding to my emails. DO NOT RECOMMEND DACOR.

We renovated our kitchen and as part of this had installed the new Dacor Modernist Fridge and Freezer columns at a VERY hefty price tag. We were going to get a subzero and changed our minds when we saw these products - the styling, design and function looked so much better than Sub-Zero, despite the higher price tag. Well, fast forward about 8 months and we dont have a functioning fridge. It stopped cooling out of nowhere. We had to throw everything away. After FINALLY getting a repair person to the house, they told me that it was because the fridge had run out of gas (freon or whatever the coolant is thats used). When asked how that happened they said they didnt know, but that they couldnt repair it as they needed a part from Dacor. A WEEK later, they finally got the part and came back to repair the fridge. 4-5 hours later it still was not repaired and they said they needed another part. Its been almost two weeks since then and the part has still not arrived. We had a BlueStar range installed when redoing the kitchen and when we had a problem with that, they overnighted the part, so that they could fix it right away. This is not the case here - the customer service has been absolutely horrendous and Ferguson Appliances (where I bought the fridge from) has been at their wits end with this (I cant say enough about how wonderful Ferguson has been to deal with). This has been a nightmare. Now the repair place wont even schedule a repair date because they dont want to lose the time again in case the part doesnt show up again... DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE. I should have known better not to buy a Samsung (yes, Samsung bought Dacor a few years ago and these products are glorified Samsung units).

The problem started with our refrigerator unit when it was still in the first year of a 2-year warranty. We have had over 9 service calls for various problems; we had to replace the circuit board, switch and the pan twice. The warranty runs out soon. After five unanswered calls to the customer service number, we were finally able to get through; not that it made a difference. Their response was, “We apologize, but there is nothing we can do?” Sound familiar? Dacor refuses to extend the warranty even though the problems seem to be bad design, parts and customer service. Dacor says when (not if) you need another repair, well work with you. Yipee! We get to work with them some more and pay for the privilege. Dont make the same mistake we did. We will never buy a Dacor product again.

We did a full reno on our house starting in 2018. With a brand new kitchen we felt higher end appliances would help finish it off nicely. We settled on Dacor from our appliance dealer due to the look a past history of great reviews. Had we known that the original Dacor no longer existed and it was now Samsung with Dacor nameplate we never would have bought them. We have had 15+ service calls for the fridge and oven. Oven didnt work from day one and required multiple board changes. The interior is not level so you cant bake a cake and the racks are impossible to remove without bending the rails. It just failed again last night just as the warranty expired. The call center is in the Caribbean so dont expect any help from customer service. The ice maker with the fridge is a continual problem so we had to buy an $100 ice maker that now sits on our counter full time. These appliances have a high end price tag but are not high end!

He said that he replaces these hinges on Dacor stoves ALL THE TIME and that the company really needs to file a recall on these hinges and/or reimburse consumers who have these installed. He said these should not go bad like they do. That this is poor manufacturing on Dacors part and they are not being held accountable. I agree 100%. I have owned a Dacor dual fuel 6-burner range for several years. I paid approximately $5,000 for the product. It has proven to be totally unsatisfactory. The gas burners click and make noise whenever you try to turn the burners down to a low temperature. The cook top is very hard to clean. The range is a constant problem. It smells bad, does not heat up promptly, and the broiler feature is always a problem. A gas oven is supposed to heat to and keep a constant temperature - the Dacor does not. The broiler will not cook food evenly or well. The door to the oven will not close properly and is constantly partially open. The hinges do not seem to work properly. Most importantly, I have tried on many occasions to get Dacor to do something about the defective product. They have been totally non-responsive. When I did finally get somebody to come and look at it, they spent about 2 hours cleaning it, accused me of using the wrong cleaner on the cooktop, and presented me with a bill for $800. I asked if they would just give me my money back and take the defective product with them. DONT BUY DACOR.

Dacor Double Oven Model D0230 - I have had my oven since November 2011. I purchased an extended warranty at the time of buying the oven. Right after it was installed, I called and said they needed to come and adjust the temperature control. It was off at least 50 degrees. It never held the correct temperature. Since July, we have had to replace 2 relay boards, two other parts that should take care of erratic temperature. Then I noticed the gasket was turning black in the corner and my glass pack in the window was steaming up and not clearing. The extended warranty would not cover the glass replacement and I was charged $126. They said it was cosmetic, but this was so bad that I couldnt see through half the glass. The steam stained the glass and you could not clean it, because it was inside two pieces of glass. Do not buy a Dacor oven. In 38 months I have so many repairs that I have lost track.

One year ago I completely changed out all appliances in my kitchen. My favorite of the four appliances is the range. We have enjoyed all kinds of new cooking techniques. As my wife put it, I did not realize how crappy my previous range was. Gourmet cooking is what Dacor is founded on and we could not be happier with the performance. Our favorite feature on the refrigerator is the in door water pitcher. Fresh cook water that can be taken to the table and refilled upon placing it back in the refrigerator. And the combi-microwave is an incredible second oven. All products have performed as advertised and promoted, and with a three year warranty whats not to love? Our 30in Dacor double ovens are approximately 12 years old. I feel they operate adequately. However, not better than our much lower end appliances we previously owned. My main complaint is the self cleaning function. My old ovens self cleaning worked much better! With our Dacor ovens one must take out the racks and clean them by hand. This is very difficult and time consuming. I used the 3 hr option to clean my oven that was moderately dirty, mainly from cooking a prime rib over the holidays. After the 3 hr cleaning the oven was still very dirty with splatters and grease. Im now cleaning my oven again with a second 3 hr cleaning cycle. I know at the end of this second cycle I will need to do a lot more cleaning by hand! I hope Dacor has improved their inadequate self cleaning feature. If it hasnt been improved, I really cant recommend Dacor ovens.

We acquired a $7,500 Dacor refrigerator when we bought a house this year. The fridge was only 5 years old. First of all it made horrendous noise when operating. Secondly the ice maker didnt work. Thirdly the freezer cooling unit died last week. How can a $7,500 refrigerator be designed so badly? I found out through Dacors authorized service company that it was quite likely the freezer could be fixed with a $400 part and some $250 in labor. The technician hinted that this problem was quite common with Dacor refrigerators. I contacted Dacor and suggested that their Internet reviews were terrible and they should help defray the costs of their premature failed unit. I was thinking that for a 5 year old product they should reimburse 50-75% of the total cost to repair. They said they would give me a 25% discount on the retail value of the parts only. In other words - I would be on the hook for at least $600 of the estimated $700 fix. This was a slap in the face. They dont seem to realize that their companys future business is only built on satisfied customers. I cant believe such expensive equipment can be so poorly designed and supported. Mercedes Benz... they are not. Lest anyone think that I am a frothing upset complaining consumer - I will tell you that I am currently retired, and formerly CEO of a $200 million public software company. I know something about building a business and I know something about focusing on customer satisfaction. I would urge anyone reading this review to stay away from all Dacor products. I remodeled my kitchen about four years ago with all Dacor appliances. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I have since replaced the refrigerator after only two years. After spending over $1000 in repair calls and parts, I purchased a new refrigerator as the freezer motor went out and had water all over my floor countless times even after new parts were installed. The ovens also have been replaced (12 months ago) as the lower heating element went out and had the upper and lower ovens go out with panel failures. I was so stupid to install the 30-inch dishwasher, as well. It also went out after 18 months with a motherboard failure. The upper rack glider also fell apart. Having the 30- inch dishwasher, I would have had to have a carpenter come in and make adjustments to my new cabinets. So I found another 30-inch Dacor dishwasher at an appliance store in Memphis, had it shipped to me and installed. It has been 10 months and I am now having the same problem I had with the previous Dacor dishwasher. It never ends! With the only option left but to have the cabinet remodeled, I will be purchasing a third dishwasher 10 months later. The only good that came out of this is the cooktop is still working (as of this date). All I can say is, if it says Dacor, dont purchase the product! This company shouldnt even be in business! What is even more pathetic is, when you call the Customer Service number, their representatives have such a I could care less attitude. It is a waste of time to even attempt to seek a solution to your problem. I guess they feel that since they have your money now, its the consumers problem, not theirs.GE Profile products are far superior and a lot less money. It goes to show an expensive price tag doesnt mean the product is superior.

We have a Dacor gas range RSD30R that we bought to upgrade our kitchen in 2002. We have had several issues with the range to date. The first issue we had with the range was the auto lock for the oven cleaning cycle that failed in 2007. It was not covered under warranty and cost $88. The second item to fail were the oven door springs. They also failed in 2007 and covered under warranty. They failed again in 2017 and had to be replaced for a second time. The springs are too weak to hold the weight of the heavy door. $68-$78 for the springs. The springs could easily be changed out as the brackets are still good but they only come as complete units. The last item to fail were the ignitors. Only one ignitor failed out of the four but as the spark module ignites all burners every time any one is turned on, premature failure could be expected as all ignitors light every time. This time the part is no longer available from Dacor. Dacor does not support any products they build after 7-8 years. Parts will no longer be available. I would not recommend Dacor Appliances to anyone as the manufacturer does not support their own products very long. I purchased Dacor to buy American and I regret it now. In contrast every product that Miele made even 20+ years ago, parts are still available directly from Miele and other suppliers as well.

Im reading all these reviews and my story mirrors them all... I have actually contacted a lawyer and am considering either a lawsuit or going to small claims court because, at this point, its cheaper than continuing with repairs every other year. Has no one else considered a lawsuit under your states lemon law? Appliances are usually covered. I purchased the MORD230 wall oven in 2008... It was purchased as a second oven to my 6-burner Wolfe to cook a turkey or roast during the holidays. It has been used no more than 24 times... I have gone through 2 control panels and am now having glitches with the third. After doing a self clean recently the whole heating element blew - it will not heat at all. I am able to enter the temp but the oven just runs and runs and never heats. I have called Dacor furious for how many times this thing has broken in relation to how many its been used... They have offered parts at a reduced rate but I am not sinking another dollar in this oven on labor and parts only for it to break again. I asked for my money back and told them to come and get the piece of garbage they sold me. Do yourself a favor and buy a Wolfe... It works beautifully... My only problem was the cast iron grates rusted a bit recently... I called their customer service and was on the phone for no more than 5 minutes and they overnighted me a whole new set no questions asked! Dacor customer service has been a nightmare - so much back and forth... I tell everyone I know... DO NOT buy Dacor!!!

I have been getting the run around from Dacor regarding a part that I paid $700 to fix an interior light that comes on and off like a strobe light. After the local service company installed the part, recommended as the fix by Dacor, the issue returned. I contacted the technician again and that is when the run around started by Dacor. I was told to contact the customer service line and tell my story which I did, only to be told that the Range is too old and they dont stand behind the warranty nor service anymore. They said beyond 5 years they dont do anything for the customer.I paid $8000 for this range back in 2005 and it has worked just great until this recent issue. If I had known that there was no service nor any parts for the fix I would have just dismantled the interior light. But why did they recommend the part I did purchase to begin with? Are they just trying to increase revenues by advising customers to buy parts that wont work? DO NOT BUY DACOR PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ON THE HOOK FOR REPAIRS AFTER ONLY 5 YEARS! This company has rude customer service agents and they do not stand behind their name!

We purchased the modernist collections 48” range, refrigerator and freezer, oven and microwave combo and dishwasher with a kitchen remodel 9 months ago. We had one issue with the dishwasher which was resolved, then another when is stopped mid-cycle. Repairman came out and was told we needed a new panel. Found out it was back-ordered. Well, it’s now been FOUR month without a dishwasher. We have contacted customer service and asked for other options and were told there was nothing they could do! When following up we have left messages and had our calls not returned, as has our service company. I have waited on the phone 3 times 30 minutes to talk to someone, because they won’t call back. We’ve asked to talk to a supervisor, and was told our information would be forwarded... 2 days later, no call. This is by far the WORST service I have ever had for ANY type of product.

I spent a lot of money buying a Dacor double wall oven because it was supposed to be top of the line and dependable. Now, the circuit board needs to be replaced and the oven is just 5 years old! This seems absolutely ridiculous for an oven this young to have such a major problem! I am very upset about all the money I am going to have to spend to fix it. Ive never, ever had any oven problems with other brands like this in my life. We remodeled our kitchen and I thought I was getting something better and now I realize that this brand is not living up to my expectations at all! I am using an authorized Dacor repair company and they told me that they are seeing lots of problems with this brand. I do not recommend this oven to anyone.

After remodeling our kitchen, we purchased a professional line Dacor stand alone gas range/oven. Within a year, the heating element needed to be replaced. Subsequently, the control panel almost caught fire and needed replacement, following a second heating element. The oven is not reliable and has cost us over $600 in repairs, labor and parts. The Dacor company is not willing to recognize that this oven is a lemon, even though their rep admitted that the number of repairs seem to exceed the average number. The company refuses to pay for a tech to come in to examine why this range continue to have electrical problems. It is not working again, and the customer service rep wants us to pay out more money to have their tech diagnose the problem and pay the cost of repairs and labor, while they will cover the cost of the parts. I am done paying out more money on a defective appliance. I could have purchased two new less expensive (and more reliable) ovens by now.

We purchased a Dacor dual fuel oven range in 2008 in conjunction with an extensive kitchen remodel. It was beautiful and expensive. It has had innumerable problems. 2008: One of the igniters broke requiring replacement. 2014: oven stopped working, required new relay board. June 2020: Relay board again broke, oven stopped working. December 2020: Oven stopped working, heating element broke. These were serious problems each resulting in 1-2 months without an oven as the parts had to be special ordered. We have not had an oven since December 2020 (it is now March 2021). We are waiting for a replacement part. In addition, minor problems included a broken indicator light and burner grating. Dacor customer service was only moderately helpful, referring us to local repair companies that had difficulty obtaining parts. Dacor has told us that this should last decades but we are seriously considering replacing it after 12 years because it is very unreliable. I would not recommend a Dacor based on our experience.

I am very, very pleased to report that I was contacted by Dacor a day after I posted my review which addressed a second failed relay board in 7 years. A really helpful Customer Service Representative called me (not emailed) to discuss the issue in great detail. Within a matter of days, a local repair service had received the new part from Dacor and scheduled an appointment with me to come out and replace the defective part. Dacor covered both the part and the labor. Im really sorry that the oven needed a second major repair but I will say that Im impressed with Dacors resolution of this issue!

I bought the refrigerator less than a year for over $4,000 and the vegetable drawer chipped. When I called Dacor, I was told that it was a cosmetic issue and was given a number to call and order the part. For a refrigerator less than a year and costing that much, I thought it should fall under its warranty. Another issue is the ice maker. It wont dispense ice and I have to always pull the ice bin and put it back in. The Dacor customer service said that its because air gets into the ice bin when I dispense ice and thats the solution. Once again, for such an expensive refrigerator under 1 year old, I would think customer service would be more customer oriented. Never again!

Im on my second Dacor 36 range! I absolutely love this product. The large grates on the cooktop allow me to have multiple things going at the same time and the size of the oven is amazing. The oven takes a full commercial sheet which allows me to cook 3 or 4 dozen cookies at a time! Dacors convection system is undeniably the best in class. I can roast garlic and bake a cake at the same time with zero flavor transfer! My turkey at Thanksgiving is so amazing Martha Stewart would adopt me if she could see it! We remodeled our kitchen in the fall of 2009 and decided to purchase what we thought were higher end Dacor appliances (stove top, oven and microwave). Well, what a mistake that turned out to be. Considering the price we paid for the appliances, you would not expect problems from all 3. Perhaps a problem with 1 appliance, but problems with all 3 suggest a real quality problem. My first indication should have been when I called and asked how to change the green LED on the microwave to blue to match the nice blue LEDs on the oven mounted right below. I was told that someone else makes the microwave and Dacor just puts their name, and that I should just turn off the LED on the microwave. I dont know if that is true, but that is what I was told. Now when using the microwave/convection feature, the oven makes a noise (sounds like a fan motor) for the first 3-5 minutes then eventually quiets down. A daily reminder of the mistake we made purchasing Dacor. Then those nice blue LEDs on the oven started failing making it impossible to read the clock, timer or temp. Luckily, the oven still works; you just cannot read the LED any longer. This is a constant reminder of the mistake we made buying Dacor as we see the LED every time we walk into the kitchen. Finally, we have the solid surface electric cooktop. Although it works fine, the black paint on the metal trim around the stove top is wearing off. Now, we have some shiny metal and some black trim. This is just an annoyance and honestly, we probably would not have even complained about it. However, with the other problems we have had with Dacor, it just adds to our overall disappointment with Dacor. If I knew then what I know now, I would be a lot happier because I would have GE appliances and not these overpriced low quality Dacor appliances.

We thought we bought a quality product when we remodeled our kitchen two years ago and put in a $3000 30 inch wall oven from Dacor through their dealer Friedman’s in Knoxville. We had heard for years that their products were top notch and high-quality. I find it interesting that the oven has a self-cleaning function. However Dacor Technical advised me that if you use the self-cleaning function you will create too much heat and destroy the motherboard. Wonderful input after the fact. The oven now does not keep a correct temperature and we are advised that our oven is two years old and out of warranty and we should not have used the self clean function. Really? Why is the button even there. Do not under any circumstances purchase any Dacor product. I feel comfortable in saying Samsung will add absolutely nothing to the quality or service. The lack of customer care and concern is beyond reproach. One star rating is way too generous. How do you just walk away from your products. We used our clean function exactly once and nobody ever said it was a self destruct button.

Updated on 09/25/2020: I wrote my original review of Dacor back in June 2020. This was after 4 months after I first started having trouble with my Dacor dishwasher. It is now September 25th, and still waiting on parts from Dacor to get dishwasher fix. Now the $10k refrigerator is not working and have been awaiting parts on it for over two months. This is absolutely the worst “high end” brand I have ever bought. This now a Samsung owned company and is not worth the money. Stay clear if this brand. Look at the other brands in this category like Wolf, Sub Zero, Miele.Original Review: I purchased a complete Dacor Kitchen package worth close to $20k for a home I did a renovation on. We had the dishwasher a month and it has not worked since. Finally they sent out someone to service it. The service tech said nothing was wrong with it. The next day after the servicemen left it was back making the same horrible sounds and AGAIN not working. I called warranty for about the 8th time and all the rep could tell me is... that did we read our manual and make sure we were operating it properly???? WOW!! Im a custom home builder and have bought numerous high end appliances packages and generally have had good service and even replacement if its a major problem. Dacor makes it sound like this is my fault, that they sold me an INFERIOR product!! Dont waste your money on DACOR. Miele, Wolf, Sub Zero all have superior products and service!!

The new Dacor was $1600+ and the reviews on all their dishwashers since 2007 are one out of five stars. Dacor knows there is a problem and wont rectify it with the consumer. An amiable young man called from Dacor. He stated he would help me on any future problem with the other appliances. Why irritate the ** out of Dacor consumers when your company has had a history of irate consumers, specifically regarding the dishwasher. We bought 3 very expensive Dacor appliances when we built our home 12 years ago. They have been a total disappointment. The microwave was replaced after just a couple of years when it just stopped working properly - including needing to stop it by opening the door! The wall ovens have needed many minor repairs which have amounted to several hundred dollars after labor charges. I see on this post others have had to repair the hinges! Ours have been replaced twice! The broiler came loose and was hanging on one side. The internal light also goes on and off by itself - sometimes in quick succession. At times, it stays on and cannot be turned off by the light button but by banging the front of the oven! Ridiculous! The cooktop cooks very unevenly. It goes from simmer to boiling over. The ceramic material did not hold up very well either. It is supposed to clean easy. But there are spills that have left permanent stains and we will be replacing that as well. We have also had Customer Service tell us items have been discontinued so we have no choice but to replace these appliances since replacement parts cannot be purchased any longer. This is a warning to anyone considering Dacor - DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! There are far better appliances out there!

My Decor Epicurian oven and range has been a nightmare from day one. I have had the oven for about 8 years and had it repaired so many times I have lost count and had spent at least $2000 on repairs. We have experienced motherboard burn out, membrane failure, temperature control malfunctions, error messages that cause incessant beeping. Nearly all of the problems that have been described in this list of complaints, I have had the problems themselves multiple times! Now, I am panicking a bit because I decided to use the self clean function on my oven this morning and now, I have read some sad malfunction stories following the use of this feature. I am so torn about whether I should just cancel the cleaning process. I do not want to risk having the oven malfunction again, but the thing really needs to be cleaned.

ZERO STARS if I could but DISAPPOINTED - if I had to use one word to describe our experience with Dacor with not only our $8K+ 42 Built In Refrigerator that is sitting at 70+ degrees in the freezer and fridge sections but SO DISAPPOINTED with their poor customer service and lack of concern resolution tools for their team to even try to help. They are supposed to have high end luxury products. With that, anyone would expect to have a luxury customer experience. However, our family has been WITHOUT a working unit since January 6th. That is less than a month from when we had it installed but almost a month from today. We followed the proper protocols to get it repaired. Took almost two weeks to even get a technician. Once we did, he confirmed it needed to be replaced. We got approval and now learned we have wait another 2-3 weeks to get a separate decision to be made.Requested if there is any way to escalate our concerns but cant even talk to a supervisor for another 24-48 hours... Apparently they will call when it is convenient to them. Dacor - have some empathy for your customers! Imagine paying for a high end product to have no working fridge or freezer for a family of 6. I purchased a Dacor Double Oven 5 years ago. It is a beautiful design, but unfortunately a piece of junk. Over the 5 years I have had the oven, I have had service technicians repair the oven on 7 different occasions. Unfortunately, my oven is not out of warranty and has failed once again. Today was my 8th attempt at service and the service technician could not get the oven working. I have called Dacor, pleading with them to stand behind their product and to replace this useless piece of equipment. I continue to get L22 error codes, and the main circuit board had been replaced twice. After persistently calling Dacor’s customer service, they finally said they would sell me a new oven at a discounted price to the tune of $4800 plus tax, shipping and installation. I ask myself, why would I want to buy another piece of junk? If Dacor wont stand behind their products, perhaps someone should initiate a class action suit against them.

Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked
Front bevel of my first rsd30 range purchased in California in 1999 cracked within nine months. Dacor said it was a defect in the design and would fix it for free. I sold the house in 2001 but the range was still not fixed. I moved to Nevada and bought a new rsd30 range and same thing happened within six months. It took a year to get it fixed at their expense. This bevel also cracked again for the second time in March 2011. Their response to this was to offer me a new bevel for $180 and I would have to pay for the installation. I declined the offer. The bevel is still cracked at this time. At the same time, I bought a PMOR30 over the range microwave and the front handle broke at least four times. And finally, the whole thing broke down and was not repairable. In Aug. 2008, I contacted Dacor and they agreed to replace it with a new DMT2420 over the counter microwave for half the price ($390). Last week, this one blew up on me. Sparks were coming out through the side and a big hole in the removable shield and burn damage to the wall of the unit. I do not believe this unit is repairable. I contacted Michael at Dacor. He apologized and said that theres nothing they can do about it as it is out of warranty but they will look into it. What I want at this point is my money back that I paid for ($390) and for them to pick up the unit and get it out of my house. I will never buy another Dacor product again.

I first bought the low-end Dacor dual fuel range and overhead microwave oven. Within the time frame of 3 years, repairs to the stove cost over $2,500. The stove cost $1,800. Ever single piece of plastic on the stove cracked and had to be replaced multiple times. The microwaves handle cracked 6 times, twice in one week. The overhead trim, which is about 30 by 6 and heavy, fell off and hit me in the head while I was frying bacon. If it had hit the pan of hot grease, I would have been burned. I contacted Dacor and got the brush off. I contacted Fight Back with David Horowitz about the problem. Dacor called me back, bowing and scraping, and we came to an agreement that they would take back the stove and microwave and put the full cost towards an upgrade to their high end model. I am sure you think I was stupid but the stove cooked beautifully and I thought a stove with no plastic trim pieces would solve the problem. Wrong! The microwave control panel has gone out twice, each repair costing around $350. The handle broke 4 times but that was covered under warranty. The front control panel has died 3 times (another $350 each time). The broiler dies each time the self-clean is used and that has been fixed 3 or 4 times. Some computer board on the top of the stove has died (another $400). The enamel lining inside has cracked, crazed, chipped off and rusted. Now, the front control panel has died and so has the one on the microwave. Times are very tough for us now and I cant afford to get them fixed. I noticed that the front panel trim on the top of the microwave is starting to pop out again (plastic fatigue). Hopefully, it will fall off again while I am cooking and hit me in the head and knock some sense into me. If it does happen, I will take them to court.

We remodeled our home and purchased Dacor appliances for our kitchen. Range, love it, Microwave, 30 Double oven and warming drawer (promotional give away). The ovens from the beginning do not function well. To warm up the ovens I have to wait 45-50 minutes and it buzzes. It is at temperature but then when I look at thermometer we are close to 75 degrees below. It recycles temperature every 75 degrees too. We had many repairs to the original unit to the point the repair person recommended that Dacor replace the unit. They did, another disaster. First they dropped the old unit while removing it chipping my granite, destroying my drawer panel and then left an absolute mess. The second unit has the same warm up issues, holding temperatures and oh wait, fans ran for hours after they were turned off. Broiling amazing. Baking and convection, a joke. The last repair person told me to open the oven and turn the cookies to have them cook evenly. And do the same when cooking with Convection. :/ I am currently looking for a reliable double oven that I can use and feel good about the food I serve (to be cooked). Dacor basically said that they cannot help me anymore because we went out of warranty last year and sent a repair person to basically say it is acceptable. Obviously for someone who does not cook, just sayin.

Weve had these appliances for 15 years. The cooktop has worked well. However, it could be improved with a lower lever for heating on its small burners, allowing it to simmer water rather than boil. The Dacor exhaust we purchased is one of those type that pop up out of the counter. It works but leaves much to be desired. When it runs, it pulls so much air the flame goes out on the burners. It is still not efficient at getting rid of cooking smells or smoke either, but that is simply a problem with all of this design so I cant fault Dacor. We have the biggest problem with the double oven. There are three main issues: 1) Whenever we run the self cleaning function, it pops the heat safety switch inside the oven housing so I need to take it apart to fix it. Hence we work to keep it clean so we never use the cleaning cycle. 2) The oven door gaskets prevent to door from closing and sealing all the way. The door tilts out app. ¾ because of this. We were told by the service guy who came to fix problem 1 above that this is the way the doors are(!). Our bottom one also tilts out but not as much. Ive dealt with this for 14 years! 3) We have to sand the burner electrodes on the cooktop to ensure they spark to light the burners at least 2-4 times per year. Not sure if that is normal or not.

My Dacor (3 years old) oven top burners igniters dont stop after being turned on, although they are burning. Ive tried drying them for many hours and applying rubbing alcohol. The front ones do this all the time when we turn them on. When we turn the left front burner on, the front right ones igniter does it along with the left! The back ones do it occasionally, so are still usable. Apparently this is a common problem with Dacor units. Why havent they fixed it? Weve had them fix the electronic panel at huge expense, and are not going to call them again. When the back burners stop working, well get another unit. Ive had gas stoves for 30 years and have never experienced anything like this poor quality. Its amazing that they are still in business.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2006. I spent a fortune on a Dacor dual fuel gas cooktop with electric oven/convection oven. My Dacor problems seem so normal I mostly deal with it. My 2 biggest complaints are the glass oven door is not airtight, it is darkened between glass, very hard to monitor my baking. And the temp gauge has always been off by 15-25 degrees. I use an in oven temp gauge, which has been calibrated so I know it works. If anyone is planning on a Dacor, you will get the best looking range. It just wont work.

We moved into our home in July 2012 and have had nothing but problems from our Dacor refrigerator which was manufactured and installed in this home in 2007. The appliance repair company has been to our home approximately five times in the five weeks since we moved in. Initially, the problem was with a leak in the cooling system which took the technicians about 16 hours over three visits and $1,400 to sort out. Currently, we have been without a visit from the techs in two weeks (our longest stretch since moving in) and the refrigerator is leaking from the ice dispenser and making a motorized noise so loud. Initially, I thought a motorcycle had pulled into my kitchen. Needless to say, the technicians are on their way back.

This is a follow-up to my prior comments on the 30 Dacor wall oven. After posting the prior complaint, a Dacor customer service representative emailed me immediately the following day asking for details on the problem. The Dacor rep immediately called my repairman, notified me that they were working on a solution, and then followed up with a solution that exceeded my expectations. We are very satisfied with the outcome and should have called Dacor directly at the onset. Thank you Dacor!

Dacor Distinctive Series Range model DR30D - One week after the appliance warranty expired, the oven stopped heating. The repair man replaced the circuit board. We still got a code 33 when we try to get the oven to heat to 400 degrees. Called customer service, they said to flip the breaker to the unit off for a few minutes. Seemed to help but we do not use the oven much, as we also have a Meile microwave/oven that we love and use that more. Then I cleaned the oven using only the ovens program. That locked down all of the gas cook top knobs. I called the repair service, it snowed on the Saturday of the appointment. They cancelled. I did not check the stove on Sunday. On Monday the repair service walks in and simply turns it on, no problem. VERY FISHY!!! I have heard the manufacture can control it by computer chips. This appears to be very true. Now the stove does not heat past 250 degrees. After speaking to a few people it appears this is a very common issues. Dacor is a lemon. Do not waste your time and money.

We purchased our fridge for $9,249 in September of 2016. By the beginning February of 2019 the fridge stopped working completely, I called Dacor who sent out a technician to determine the problem. The technician said the compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. A week later we found out that Dacor no longer makes the particular compressor I need. I have now been living without a fridge for 3 weeks and Dacor doesn’t seem to care at all. We have 3 children and are currently living out of a cooler with ice. I call them and email them every day begging them for a resolution. They are a avoiding me. I believe they owe me a new fridge and they don’t want to do it. We saved long and hard for our expensive appliances and it’s absolutely heartbreaking to have this useless fridge stop working after 2 years, and Dacor seems to not care.

Updated on 09/08/2019: Received a long apology from Dacor regarding their complete inability to service our range stating they would make it right. After sending them all my contact info privately at their request, we have heard nothing. My husband drove to Houston to their showroom, met with Dacor rep out of California, still nothing. Note there are only a few suggested repair services on their website which none cover our area. Avoid Appliance Genius. They wanted $ 500 just to drive 50 minutes travel cost. So here we sit, broiler in main oven out, lighters do not work, and the control screen is blank. Yes, Dacor was great until something broke.Original Review: Our Dacor range was great until it started needing repair. First the broiler went out in the main oven. Then some of the lighters quit working. When we called for repair, every place we called said they would no longer service Dacor because they were unable to get parts. For over a year we have gone back and forth with Dacor state office. They finally sent a “tech” from a video repair store. Really. He charged us $170 to drive to us. Then said he couldn’t get the brass rings off the burners, sorry. Called Dacor again and they said if we found anyone to let them know!!! Yesterday, the the touch panel burned out. I’m done. Dacor does not stand behind their products. I have documented all conversations. Do not buy Dacor.
