I called the customer service number regarding my double oven. It just randomly beeps and now turns off. No error code displayed. It has done this on and off since 2003. Now it is happening all the time. I called customer service and they seemed to act like it is my fault and I need a new touch pad. I inquired and this is a recurring problem with this model. I could not get a straight answer from the person I was talking to. He just told me that if the repairman says I need a new touch pad, then I need to get one. Well I have been doing some research and this is a problem that seems to be haunting more people than I. We own a Dacor gas cooktop that has had to have a switch repaired. We own a microwave that has had two new circuit boards and now a beeping oven that gives no error code and turns off by itself. My advice, do not buy Dacor appliances.

2017 purchased 36” range. First year- self cleaning overheated, replaced part. That was in 1 years warranty. But now: only 3 years barely: (I dont even cook much). Oven turns off by itself if I open the door. Oven does not turn off when I am done cooking. If I cook 450f pops warning of temp overheat. Called ABT service (this is where Dacor said) it cost $219 for a service guy to call dacor and to give me answer: I think it is android board. I have to buy a board. Plus per Dacor this board will not have wifi. So there is no Discovery- paid extra for extras I can not have...

We have a new (one year old) home with Dacor appliances. The microwave oven went on the blink the first month but was repaired by a factory approved repairman. Something to do with the computer. Now the double oven will not hold a temperature. We set the oven at 420 and it only goes to 360 even though the readout shows 420. We just decided to skip the repair process and bought a new Wolf oven. This is our second Dacor within the past two years and both have had the same problem. Dont waste your money.

I have 2 single ovens side by side and have a cooktop and ventilation system - my experience with the cooktop and vent (2000) was so good that I did not hesitate to buy Dacor MorS130S ovens. They were installed in my new kitchen in September of 2012. I had my cooktop and ventilation system reinstalled. My daughter accidentally cleaned the oven without taking out the GlideRacks (which are hard to take out). We oiled them, etc., like the manual says if they are accidentally left in - they will not glide at all and now I am being told $300 each to replace excluding the cost of the service call. This is ridiculous. What kind of design is so poor that racks would get in this condition? I had Bosch ovens before and their warranty was wonderful and I, luckily, bought a Miele dishwasher which has a 10-year warranty. I would not buy Dacor again because of the warranty and because of this problem. I am beyond disappointed as I love my cooktop etc. I feel that Dacor should at least pay for part of these GlideRacks.

I bought a Dacor Epicure 48 range in 2003. It has never worked correctly. I read many other complaints on this same range. I had the burners replaced and I still have to light them with a match each time I turn them on. The oven temperatures were never correct. Nothing bakes properly even following their directions. It bakes very uneven. The hinges are sprung/broken (as the doors are too heavy for the lightweight hinge they use). I have had numerous service calls over the years and still not a good oven or repair. I too am very disappointed in the fact that this product is a lemon and they will not replace it.

Dacor double oven range turns off by itself while baking - Disappointed in Dacor, especially today. Thanksgiving 2016: baking turkey. Sill baking turkey. I dont know when the oven decided to switch off this time, but I have an uncooked turkey and guests waiting. The oven has done this before, but because it was new I thought it was user error. Nope, the damn oven mysteriously turns off on its own. Incredibly irritated with Dacor. The range hood we also purchased is a joke. We remodeled our kitchen 1 year ago and wanted quality appliances. Bad move. Save your money, folks. Save your money.UPDATED ON 03/10/2017: Dacor sent a company out to fix the broken new oven. Oven still cannot hold its temperature (It takes FOREVER to heat then loses its heat while still showing a high temp). This time I have a recording on what happens when the oven automatically switches off. Disappointing when we spent nearly $10,000 in Dacor appliances for a kitchen remodel. DACOR, please have a rep contact me!!! Still waiting to hear back!!!

I am very, very pleased to report that I was contacted by Dacor a day after I posted my review which addressed a second failed relay board in 7 years. A really helpful Customer Service Representative called me (not emailed) to discuss the issue in great detail. Within a matter of days, a local repair service had received the new part from Dacor and scheduled an appointment with me to come out and replace the defective part. Dacor covered both the part and the labor. Im really sorry that the oven needed a second major repair but I will say that Im impressed with Dacors resolution of this issue!

I recently upgraded my kitchen and had always heard that Dacor has been a reliable high end brand for kitchen appliances. Their refrigerators have a lot of space, and everything can be easily organized. All the appliances work as intended, and they also all look great. The stainless steel Dacor uses to make these appliances look smooth and clean, making it one of the most beautiful kitchen appliances I have ever owned. If you want a functioning kitchen with appliances that always look nice and shiny, then I would highly recommend Dacor.

When I completely remodeled my kitchen 6 years ago, I actually went AGAINST the advice of my appliance dealer and kitchen designer and insisted on buying the Dacor 30 double convection wall oven. Id been longing for Dacor ovens for years and though they gently tried to steer me towards Miele or Electrolux, I dug in my heels. Ive regretted ever since. Since first use, my electronic display has not been without an error message. Every time I go to turn on the oven, theres a message telling me to clean the convection fan filter. I called Dacor and they told me to ignore it! It was a mistaken message. Still, I cleaned them repeatedly to no avail. The main electronic circuit board on the oven has gone out three times. They paid for it the first time because it was under warranty. The second time they sold me the part at a discount but I had to pay for the service call. Total cost to me: $480. The third time, I had to pay for everything myself. Total cost to me: $870. They told me its because I broiled with the door open. I have NEVER broiled with the door open! The inside lights go on and off randomly. The temperature probe has NEVER worked properly. Last week, I was preheating the oven to bake some cookies and an alarm went off giving me a cooling fan error message. The oven turned off and I cant get it to turn back on. I called Dacor customer service twice so far and the first time they told me they would research the issue and call me back. They NEVER CALLED. I called again and they told me they could ship me the part and I could pay for the service call. The lower oven is currently working so I havent done anything yet, but the oven originally cost me well over $5,000. I have put another $1,300 into it. Im not about to spend another $500-$600 on this complete waste of money. Bottom Line: Dacor sells junk for exorbitant prices and refuses to stand behind their products. I was an idiot to fall for the Only True Convection Oven in the market line. Im buying a Miele or a GE to replace.

Five years ago we built a new house with a big open kitchen for entertaining and family. I like to cook. After talking to a kitchen designer and high end appliance dealer in San Antonio, TX, we decided to go 100% Dacor for the kitchen. What a nightmare! The oven was replaced within the first three months. Since then we have had two relay boards replaced (one within warranty, one not) and one thermostat replaced. When the oven is working, I like it very much. But it is a lot of trouble to get it fixed. The refrigerator defrosting until has gone out three times as well (once in warranty, twice not). Today the unit is not cooling at all. It is hard enough to find someone to service these units outside the big cities, so when we do find someone it takes days for them to get here to diagnose; days to receive parts; and days more to fix. I will never buy another Dacor product! I will say this, the Dacor headquarters have tried to help and even gave discounts on parts, but 5-year appliances should never have these many issues. Our last kitchen was 100% KitchenAid and we never had one problem with anything for 6 years!

We remodeled our kitchen in 2001 and bought a Dacor Epicure 30 dual fuel range. The gas cooktop has never been a problem, unlike the oven which has been a problem from the first week with unpredictable temperature variations. Multiple holiday meals have seen the extended family waiting for dinner for two hours because the oven decided to be cool that day. The advice from Dacor: preheat your oven for several hours before you need it or my favorite from a repairman: you must be slamming your oven door. Not helpful. Several expensive repairs later (over $2100) and one fire in the oven now it wont turn on at all. We are going to try one last time to repair it and then we are done. I do not recommend Dacor to anyone - too expensive to have such terrible quality and service.

I have spent $350 for repairs three times and it is still way less than satisfactory. Move on, try a Maytag, Bosch or Miele. Also parts are astronomical and you will need them. The Dacor dishwasher had problems engaging and activating the cycle. We finally had enough and purchased a Bosch dishwasher even though the rest of our kitchen is Dacor. The new Dacor was $1600+ and the reviews on all their dishwashers since 2007 are one out of five stars. Dacor knows there is a problem and wont rectify it with the consumer. An amiable young man called from Dacor. He stated he would help me on any future problem with the other appliances. Why irritate the ** out of Dacor consumers when your company has had a history of irate consumers, specifically regarding the dishwasher. This certainly doesnt increase sales and only angers the base.

We remodeled our home and purchased Dacor appliances for our kitchen. Range, love it, Microwave, 30 Double oven and warming drawer (promotional give away). The ovens from the beginning do not function well. To warm up the ovens I have to wait 45-50 minutes and it buzzes. It is at temperature but then when I look at thermometer we are close to 75 degrees below. It recycles temperature every 75 degrees too. We had many repairs to the original unit to the point the repair person recommended that Dacor replace the unit. They did, another disaster. First they dropped the old unit while removing it chipping my granite, destroying my drawer panel and then left an absolute mess. The second unit has the same warm up issues, holding temperatures and oh wait, fans ran for hours after they were turned off. Broiling amazing. Baking and convection, a joke. The last repair person told me to open the oven and turn the cookies to have them cook evenly. And do the same when cooking with Convection. :/ I am currently looking for a reliable double oven that I can use and feel good about the food I serve (to be cooked). Dacor basically said that they cannot help me anymore because we went out of warranty last year and sent a repair person to basically say it is acceptable. Obviously for someone who does not cook, just sayin.

I paid over $6000.00 for a Dacor EF48BNDBSS refrigerator and have had nothing but problems with this item and the other Dacor item (dishwasher) that I bought when I had a new kitchen built for my new life of retirement. The first refrigerator that was delivered did not work when it was installed and was returned immediately. I had to wait for Dacor to send another one and I have had to pay several service calls each time since that point. I am disgusted that I paid over $10,000 on two appliances from Dacor and neither of them has ever worked even at a low grade basic level. Both of my items have been discontinued and Dacor reimbursed me for half of what I paid for the dishwasher, which did not even cover all of the repair calls that I had paid for ongoing service. At that dealing, I got tired of paying for repair calls for the refrigerator due to excessive icing in the freezer; supposedly there was a quick fix right after I had the unit installed and it did not fix the issue. Now, there is another quick fix that Dacor suggests and that will cost me $800. Really? I dont think so. In fact, I have researched this issue and have found that this quick fix does not solve the problem either. In addition, I have called Dacor numerous times about the refrigerator door not sealing and the refrigerator making all kinds of strange noises. They told me it was the seal, so I had the seal replaced and that was not the issue. Then I paid $235.00 for a service call to look at the seal and he said that this refrigerator has known problems for hinge issues and he attempted to fix the hinge and left and the problem continued. Between the hinge issues, the constant icing issues in the freezer and the food icing over as well along with the trays and inner shelving of the freezer, the refrigerator sealing and the hinges working, and the constant crazy noises that the refrigerator makes, I am ready to file a lawsuit for a lemon of a product. This is the second product that has recall issues and multiple problems. I am sure that with my documentation, a judge would have no problem agreeing that I have paid way too much and put in way too much time and energy into getting a decent appliance into my kitchen. I would never recommend Dacor to anyone. I am dissatisfied and refuse to pay another penny for service calls on these appliances that were installed in 08/2012. At this point, my refrigerator is unplugged and unusable and I am using a small refrigerator that I bought at Costco for $300.00 thirteen years ago that has never had one problem.

We equipped a luxury kitchen with Dacor appliances. Had to replace the 60 inch dual fuel range after 8 years - use the same brand simply to match. Big mistake. Several repairs already. Also installed two under the counter warming drawers - nothing but problems and repair expense. Now we need a small $25 part - a cooling fan with motor that is faulty. Was informed the part is no longer available - customer service told me well, it is 10 years old. Really? This is the second time I have purchased these appliances and unfortunately each one has been a great disappointment. I have spent enough in repair bills to almost purchase a warming drawer. Each one shuts down when the self clean button is turned on, and then I have to call a repairman out to recalibrate the oven to work each time I try to use the self clean. I was told by the last repairman that the life of the oven is greatly shortened if you the self clean mode. If this is the case, either fix it or take out this mode. After I had the oven about a year the oven door glass blew out, and this had to be replaced. The temperature in the oven is very unreliable in different areas of the oven and browns more on one side than the other... For the high end cost of these ovens, I would just as soon have a basic oven that works and does not go out every few months. What a waste of money I consider Dacor to be, and will never recommend it to anyone I know. I am in the personal shopping business and have my own company, but will tell my clients to be very aware of the high cost/low performance of Dacor products... On a scale of 1 to 10, Dacor gets a 1.

I purchased a single wall oven in 2008 and 30 days out of warranty, the oven broke. Service required two service calls to fix the door magnets. A third visit was required as the oven codes shut down the unit. The last two service calls have been with the cooling fan. Now that the fan was replaced, the relay board needs replacement, too. I have spent $650 in service alone, which is separate from the cost of parts. There’s no help from customer service; in fact, the rep was downright rude. Purchased home with installed Dacor double oven. Oven wouldnt reach set temperature, so replaced control board. Doable, but a real hassle to remove oven from wall opening and label, disconnect, and reconnect 20-something wires. We purchased our second Dacor microwave. When received there was a defect on the stainless front panel which we reported to Dacor (now owned by Samsung). We remodeled, added a very upscale kitchen in 2003, and chose Dacor appliances, 36 inch dual fuel stove, 30 inch wall oven, microwave, and a 30 inch dishwasher, well over $25000 worth. NONE of the appliances has worked properly, but the dishwasher has taken the cake. I have lost count on how many times I was in contact with the customer service. The digital board went bad, the error msgs kept coming for years! The racks/baskets rusted after just a couple of years! After numerous encounters with anybody I could get a hold of they were finally replaced, but not the right racks because they do not fit, falls off the side every time I use this dishwasher. I cannot tell you how frustrating this has been! I was eventually told that I could not complain anymore because I was out of warranty and they would not respond anymore! I am stuck with this $3000+ dishwasher that I cannot afford to replace, because I would have to rebuild that area of counter cabs in the kitchen! The service has been horrible. After the local service company installed the part, recommended as the fix by Dacor, the issue returned. I contacted the technician again and that is when the run around started by Dacor. I was told to contact the customer service line and tell my story which I did, only to be told that the Range is too old and they dont stand behind the warranty nor service anymore. They said beyond 5 years they dont do anything for the customer.I paid $8000 for this range back in 2005 and it has worked just great until this recent issue. If I had known that there was no service nor any parts for the fix I would have just dismantled the interior light. But why did they recommend the part I did purchase to begin with? Are they just trying to increase revenues by advising customers to buy parts that wont work? DO NOT BUY DACOR PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ON THE HOOK FOR REPAIRS AFTER ONLY 5 YEARS! We thought we bought a quality product when we remodeled our kitchen two years ago and put in a $3000 30 inch wall oven from Dacor through their dealer Friedman’s in Knoxville. We had heard for years that their products were top notch and high-quality. I find it interesting that the oven has a self-cleaning function. However Dacor Technical advised me that if you use the self-cleaning function you will create too much heat and destroy the motherboard. Wonderful input after the fact. The oven now does not keep a correct temperature and we are advised that our oven is two years old and out of warranty and we should not have used the self clean function. Really? Why is the button even there. Do not under any circumstances purchase any Dacor product. I feel comfortable in saying Samsung will add absolutely nothing to the quality or service. The lack of customer care and concern is beyond reproach. One star rating is way too generous. How do you just walk away from your products. I will NEVER buy Dacor EVER again. We built a house and after looking at other high-end appliance makers and upon my mothers strong recommendation, we installed all Dacor appliances in our new kitchen. My mother based her recommendation of Dacor appliances due to what she explained as their excellent customer service. HA!! Less than 3 years after installing our pricey Dacor Epicure over-sized dishwasher it has rusted racks -- top and bottom! After experiencing a very painful, drawn-out and EXPENSIVE process of getting our racks replaced, I am not confident AT ALL that our frustrations with this dishwasher are over yet. The new retrofit slides on the top rack are so lightweight I cant imagine they will effectively operate for years to come. I have difficulty closing my dishwasher properly now and have to check each time I run it for leaks on the floor. Ive given up on my Dacor dishwasher and have resigned myself to eventually replacing it. NEVER buy Dacor!

Worst oven Ive ever purchased by far. Pay big bucks and get junk. About 2 times per month, the oven will not heat up. I cant count the amount of wasted food and dinners out, because it does not seem to ignite, only warm up to about 100 degrees. I contact the appliance repair company and it works when they come out, so they dont do anything. I will never, ever buy another appliance from this brand.

Ive had this range for two years and am replacing the control panel for the second time. 1st time during product warranty and second time out of warranty. The range is beautiful but apparently the electronics are bad. And to add insult to injury Dacor doesnt stock replacements but has them assembled when needed. Estimated wait time for a new panel is 3 weeks; so no oven for 3 weeks and now not a lot of faith that the new board will be any better than the last one.

I have had nothing but trouble with a wall oven I bought in 2010. Basically just bad electronics. I finally replaced the oven in 2014 and had to get another Dacor to fit the opening. The new unit still does not heat evenly and is consistently off by about 50 degrees. Customer service is not helpful at all. Local repair shops cant really fix issues. Terrible company. We had problems with it all the time. The front plastic cracked and ended up causing the oven not to work. We have spent (over the past 9 years) about $1,000 on repairs. Now, we just had it fixed and our new clock that was installed into the oven is running fast. After just being fixed, it takes 20 minutes to heat up to 400. Honestly, it always has been that way. We’re not happy with it at all. We bought a Sears brand oven for our church, and it works great, and the cost was only a third of what we paid for the Dacor oven. The Sears brand bakes just as good as the Dacor (when it works). I think it was a waste of money to buy this Dacor oven.

We did a complete kitchen remodel in 2007. I wanted top of the line appliances, and I liked the look of Dacor. I spent over $10,000 on a refrigerator, oversize dishwasher, microwave oven and a warming oven... (I know). Within 16 months, everything started to fall apart. Of course it was over the one year’s mark so there was no replacing of the units on the manufacturers part. I have since replaced the motherboard on the dishwasher twice... total of 3K in repairs! I cant replace the dishwasher because it was oversized and we built our cabinets around it and no other company sell an oversized dishwasher. I have replaced the microwave oven with another one that looks just like it because for some reason it fried. The refrigerator constantly rattles and my husband and I are at our wits end because of it. The only thing that hasnt fell apart yet is the warming oven. Probably because we dont use it. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Its a total waste of money. Next time Im buying Kenmore. My old Kenmore is sitting out in the garage being a good and faithful second fridge.

My wife and I purchased a new Dacor dishwasher, new Dacor range and new Dacor microwave oven. Unfortunately, the dishwasher never worked and were now going through the process of getting the unit repaired. A repair technician was sent out and discovered a new CPU was needed. Then once the CPU was installed, a new circulatory pump was needed. And finally, once the circulatory pump can in, the unit still doesnt work. Weve had the technician in four separate times (installation, tech inspection, CPU install, and circulatory install) and each visit is approximately one week between visits. Yes, were now going on four weeks without a dishwasher that we paid for. Beyond that, someone needs to be home each time they visit. So now Im without a dishwasher for four weeks and I have to take four days off of work so a technician cannot fix my dishwasher. When I called Dacor customer service and asked for a temporary unit until mine is fixed, they simply stated we dont do that. Dacor may be a premium appliance manufacturer but they do not have a premium customer service department. So buyer beware, if your unit has any problems Dacor will not rush, hurry or try to accommodate you. Im sure the unit will eventually get fixed but after a month of waiting, I believe Ive earned the right to warn others about Dacors business practices. We purchased the unit from Pacific Sales in Corona, CA. When we asked Pacific Sales for assistance they said it was a Dacor issue and refused to assist us. These two businesses will no longer receive my patronage.

The problem started with our refrigerator unit when it was still in the first year of a 2-year warranty. We have had over 9 service calls for various problems; we had to replace the circuit board, switch and the pan twice. The warranty runs out soon. After five unanswered calls to the customer service number, we were finally able to get through; not that it made a difference. Their response was, “We apologize, but there is nothing we can do?” Sound familiar? Dacor refuses to extend the warranty even though the problems seem to be bad design, parts and customer service. Dacor says when (not if) you need another repair, well work with you. Yipee! We get to work with them some more and pay for the privilege. Dont make the same mistake we did. We purchased the Model MOH130S in 2006 from a very reputable distributor of high-end appliances. In 2009 we required a service call to deal with temperature control. The oven was out by more than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. This resulted in a relay board, item 101559, to be replaced. Dacor was nice enough to cover the cost of the board, but not the cost of the $152.00 service call. In 2013, guess what? Relay board, this time out by more than 50 degrees, item # 101559 required replacement again only this time it was not covered and cost of $628.00. Here we are, 2016 waiting for the service provider again as temperature is out by over 60 degrees. Roasts, Turkeys, Chickens and everything else have been dying slow deaths in this unit and are awaiting yet another bill to deal with temperature control. Dacor will do nothing until another $150 service call confirms the problem. Hmmm! What to do?

The electronics on the first two induction burners failed within six months which was covered under warranty. The second two went three weeks after the warranty and we had to argue with Dacor to cover them otherwise it is a $1400 repair job. From day one whenever you open the oven door the controls and heat shut off. Sometimes it turns back on when you close the door. As for the downdraft, it worked fine until 10 weeks ago when while closing, the cover lip hit a wooden spoon that had been lying flat near the edge. There is no safety feature and the motor continued to try and close the fan. The unit would not respond and would not re-open. The spoon had to be broken to get it out. If this was a childs finger you would have had to call 911. We now have a repair bill of over $350 and are still waiting for 2 months for Dacor to send a part. We will never buy this brand again.

We own 3 Dacor appliances, gas cooktop, microwave & built in oven. From the day of installation of wall oven there was a problem. Without going into detail suffice to say it was repaired 3 times within several months, under warranty. We were having issues with our microwave not working consistently, after several service visits, not under warranty, we now are told it will cost over $600 for the part. We are now looking for another brand of microwave instead of fixing the Dacor. On a side note the rings for our Dacor gas cooktop never come clean no matter how hard you try. The material used are definitely inferior. We have another property with all KitchenAid and have been happy with the performance. Our fridge & dishwasher are KitchenAid and I regret not getting the same brand for our other appliances. If I could give a minus star for Dacor I most certainly would do so.

I am writing to complain about our Dacor dual fuel stove that we purchased
I am writing to complain about our Dacor dual fuel stove that we purchased in 1998 when we built our house. Initially things went well, and I enjoyed baking in the oven and the convenience of the gas stove top when we had power issues. But then the honeymoon ended, and the problems started. After completing our first self clean cycle, we started getting the F1 code, and noticed cracks in the front on the stove. Our repair guy came out, took a look, and then informed me that Dacor had had numerous problems, and were not so good about living up to their warranty. He was right, Dacor felt in no way that they should help resolve our problem. With 4 kids, you cant just go without a stove, so we paid for the parts and repair. I figured it was just a one time thing, but I was wrong. We are now again looking at replacing the same part just 3 years later again with cracks and the F1 code. Dacor should be ashamed. Do the math. If they walk away from responsibility on all of these faulty products that average $5,000 a piece, shouldnt they have the money to pay for the fixes or maybe hire better engineers? They need to be held accountable for this mess. I need my oven back on!!!! And after the money we have paid for repairs, light bulbs, and parts...... the rest of the care should be free and on them.

I do have to pay the labor, but the part was what was expensive before. Updated on 06/14/2021: We placed a review about a month ago about a defective range. The company contacted us, took some information, but we have not heard from them since. It seems they just wanted an appearance of willingness to help but do not intend to help. After spending almost $4000 on a stove you would think it would last more than a few years before the motherboard malfunctioned. Dacor has provided no help. Very poor customer service and an extreme disappointment.Original Review: We bought our Dacor range for 3800$ in 2017. The self clean function did not work due to a defective locking mechanism. We had that repaired. Starting in 2019, the bake cycle was not heating up to set temperature. We followed recalibrate instructions. Then, the temperature went over the desired setting. I’ve tried adjusting baking times to deal with the problem. Convection bake started having temperatures above the set temperature.Several months ago we called for repair. The service technician tested the sensor and said it was fine. He stated that it was the motherboard which would cost $1200 to replace with parts and labor. That’s a lot of money to put into a high end stove that cost $3800 to begin with and is only 3 years old! We’ve had Frigidaire stoves that lasted 15+ years. This continues to be a problem. Unfortunately, we may have to replace this stove with Viking or Wolf. This is totally unacceptable considering the initial cost of the stove and the fact that Dacor markets their products to be long lasting and reliable. Never will I buy Dacor products again.

From the beginning we had issues with the oven. It cooked very unevenly and the door never closed properly. We had a service call and they basically told us that we got a lemon. They offered us a new range for $3.5K. We thought we got a lemon so we agreed and paid for a new one for $3.5k. We also purchased the extended warranty for $2.2K.0 This one was even worse. One time I opened the oven and it burned my eyelashes. I wrote and complained with a video of the explosion and had to pay for the service call. I wrote a review in the website and they deleted it. We now own a range that we have paid over $10K that bakes unevenly, electric element does not work in oven and have minor explosions from time to time with a door that does not close. We have a few friends who have asked us about our range and we always recommend against it. We are looking for a new range. I would not recommend this range. I thought we got a lemon. But it seems thats just the product.

It is now September 25th, and still waiting on parts from Dacor to get dishwasher fix. Now the $10k refrigerator is not working and have been awaiting parts on it for over two months. This is absolutely the worst “high end” brand I have ever bought. This now a Samsung owned company and is not worth the money. Stay clear if this brand. Look at the other brands in this category like Wolf, Sub Zero, Miele.Original Review: I purchased a complete Dacor Kitchen package worth close to $20k for a home I did a renovation on. We had the dishwasher a month and it has not worked since. Finally they sent out someone to service it. The service tech said nothing was wrong with it. The next day after the servicemen left it was back making the same horrible sounds and AGAIN not working. I called warranty for about the 8th time and all the rep could tell me is... that did we read our manual and make sure we were operating it properly???? WOW!! Im a custom home builder and have bought numerous high end appliances packages and generally have had good service and even replacement if its a major problem. This week Dacor installed my 2nd replacement gas range. I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago and chose Dacor because I had a great experience with their appliances in the past, had their oven and stove in my kitchen for 15+ years and never had a problem. With the first new range, the oven started to automatically shut off due to excess heat escape, so the safety feature would kick in and shut the system down, in addition the knobs would become very hot even when the over was used briefly, 12-15 minutes. I was very impressed and happy with the customer service through Dacor, they immediately gave me a brand new over. Exactly another year, the new oven had the same problem, door begins to not hinge properly and heat begins escape, knobs get dangerously hot. This week Dacor very kindly, replaced my appliance with the new Dacor Renaissance 36. I used the oven for 12 minutes on 400 and the entire exterior is dangerously hot. I do not have any children, however, if I did I would be terrified that they could seriously injure themselves. The exterior of an oven should not become hot like this. Has anyone else had this issue with Dacor? I feel they have been very responsive with regards to customer service however I want an appliance that is safe.

I have a Dacor 27 inch wall (model EOR) oven which I bought 2 years ago, along with a micro and a warming drawer. Since then, the control panel has been replaced twice. Both times because, after using the timer mode, the beeper would come on at all hours of the day and night. In both instances, I had to cut the power to the oven until the replacement part arrived. I am presently waiting for the third panel to arrive. Today I needed to bake something, so I turned the power to the oven back on. Now it will only function at 350 degrees and only in the bake mode. No other numbers can be put in and nothing happens when I select convection. So far Dacor has absorbed the cost of the parts and repairs, but that does not mitigate the hassle of having to wait upwards of 2 months for a part each time this happens.

October 2013 we had the Dacor model# EORD230SCH installed. It broke just in time for Thanksgiving! Service is painfully slow. We had a 03 year warranty on the original purchase and the clock keeps ticking from the date of the initial installation. WE have asked for and been denied by Dacor, to reinstate the 03 year warranty once the unit is actually working. We bought this unit, spent extra money, thinking we were buying quality. So, two ovens in less than one year, doesnt equate to a quality product to me. Keep getting the standard answer about the warranty - no added time will be assigned.

As a contractor, we were fortunate enough to build our dream home which was
As a contractor, we were fortunate enough to build our dream home which was completed in 2005. After much research and many show room visits, we purchased Dacor appliances for our kitchen. As the saying goes, if I knew then what I know now. Our biggest (note I said biggest, not only) issue is with our ESC130 oven. If you own this oven, do not, repeat, do not, use the self-cleaning mechanism. I have had this repaired once and then replaced once (along with a relay board). I seldom use this because I know when I do the lock mechanism will continue to cycle until it is replaced. This means, while I can still use my oven, I have to time when I open the door based on when the lock is cycling in the unlock position. I must also turn the oven off at the circuit breaker or listen to the continuous warning beep that the lock is cycling (as if I didnt know). After repairing this feature once, I next choose to have the mechanism replaced and Dacor offered me a discount on the parts (the oven was and still is out of warranty) at a cost of more than $500.00. This is on top of what I had already paid to have it repaired just 18 months earlier. I feared using this feature again as I didnt want a repeat performance. After cooking macaroni and cheese yesterday, I felt I really needed to clean the oven and made the mistake of using the self-cleaning feature of the oven. I dont know why I was surprised when the locking mechanism refused to stop cycling.I contacted Dacor today only to speak with the rudest customer service representative I have ever encountered, Steven. No last name. He is the only Steven who works there. He refused to listen to me, spoke over me when I did try to talk, and did not allow me to speak with anyone else. There are no supervisors available on Fridays and he could not transfer me anywhere. I left a message for someone else to call me (they did not). I called back later that afternoon and was given the name of a supervisor, Nhi. She was not available and I spoke with another customer service representative. I learned that Dacor is aware they have a problem with this locking mechanism and are trying to correct it. This got my hopes up, thinking that the company would now do the right thing and replace this mechanism at not cost to me, or at least at no cost for the parts. Not so. Even though Dacor knows there is an issue with this mechanism and they are supposedly trying to correct it, all they can offer me is a discount on parts. Really? Wow! A discount for a part that you know doesnt work properly and probably wont work properly because they are still working on the problem? I just really dont know what to say. Is this supposed to make me happy as a customer? Would prospective customers want to buy a Dacor product knowing that Dacor is more than happy to sell me a known defective product at a discounted price and they should expect the same? It is probably needless to say that I would urge all prospective Dacor owners to not waste their money on any Dacor product as they do not care about their customers. I will certainly be doing my part to warn others and hope this serves to warn others as well. Dacor has a lot to learn in terms of building even what could be called a good product and standing behind what they sell as well as becoming a customer service oriented company.

Epicure Range, wall oven, microwave and fridge - When remodeling our kitchen in 2010, an appliance salesperson gave us a good deal on the entire set. We spent $20k on the Dacor appliances. BIG MISTAKE! Do not ever buy anything Dacor. We have issues with every single one. Where do I start? The ovens have gone out three times now and I have had to replace the main panel, now it will not heat at all. The refrigerator 42 built-in is a big piece of crap! We have had it serviced 4-times for everything. The entire fridge freezes over due to a design flaw. The fan in the freezer completely ices over. The ice door broke. The crushed ice broke. The plastic door for the butter broke. The shelves broke. The microwave has had issues and has had to be fixed. The oven temps were wrong. Fixed those myself thanks to YouTube. When talking to the service guy he said that these are cheap appliances with the Dacor badge, so you have to spend big bucks to buy them and big bucks to repair! Do yourself a favor and if you are thinking of Dacor run! I contacted Dacor and they are even worse to deal with. They did not care that their appliances are very unreliable. Never received a return call, email, or even a letter.

I remodeled my kitchen about four years ago with all Dacor appliances. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I have since replaced the refrigerator after only two years. After spending over $1000 in repair calls and parts, I purchased a new refrigerator as the freezer motor went out and had water all over my floor countless times even after new parts were installed. The ovens also have been replaced (12 months ago) as the lower heating element went out and had the upper and lower ovens go out with panel failures. I was so stupid to install the 30-inch dishwasher, as well. It also went out after 18 months with a motherboard failure. The upper rack glider also fell apart. Having the 30- inch dishwasher, I would have had to have a carpenter come in and make adjustments to my new cabinets. So I found another 30-inch Dacor dishwasher at an appliance store in Memphis, had it shipped to me and installed. It has been 10 months and I am now having the same problem I had with the previous Dacor dishwasher. It never ends! With the only option left but to have the cabinet remodeled, I will be purchasing a third dishwasher 10 months later. The only good that came out of this is the cooktop is still working (as of this date). All I can say is, if it says Dacor, dont purchase the product! This company shouldnt even be in business! What is even more pathetic is, when you call the Customer Service number, their representatives have such a I could care less attitude. It is a waste of time to even attempt to seek a solution to your problem. I guess they feel that since they have your money now, its the consumers problem, not theirs.GE Profile products are far superior and a lot less money. It goes to show an expensive price tag doesnt mean the product is superior.

We have had our Dacor since 2006 and this range, the most expensive appliance we have ever owned, simply doesnt maintain the proper oven temperature. We have owned several far less expensive ranges and their ovens, much more basic designs, do what an oven is supposed to do maintain a temperature! We cook or try to quite a lot but working with this stove is like baking over an open fire while camping. This supposedly gourmet, fancy, convection oven that supposedly can bake cookies and meat at the same time is a total fail. We have had the service people out repeatedly to no avail. I am convinced we could change the circuit boards repeatedly and it wouldnt make a difference because it is a faulty design. This product should not be on the market or this company and their poor service in business. DO NOT BUY THEIR RANGES! Unless you dont cook and all you will do is look at it. We are thinking about retaining an attorney to file a class action suit. We could buy a low cost oven that works several times over for what we have paid in repair bills.

My Dacor Preference 30 double wall oven (model PCD227R) was installed on 5-14-2004. On 12-31-2007, I replaced the upper oven high limit switch for cost $146.56. On 5-19-2010, I reset the lower oven high limit switch for cost $95.00. On 8-27-11, I replaced main control panel (Bezel Assembly), whose parts cost $271.10. On 12-14-2011, I replaced the main relay board for $214.02. On 1-16-2012, I replaced main relay board again, and it is under warranty. On 2-3-12, I replaced upper oven temperature sensor for $32.09. Updated on 09/08/2019: Received a long apology from Dacor regarding their complete inability to service our range stating they would make it right. After sending them all my contact info privately at their request, we have heard nothing. My husband drove to Houston to their showroom, met with Dacor rep out of California, still nothing. Note there are only a few suggested repair services on their website which none cover our area. Avoid Appliance Genius. They wanted $ 500 just to drive 50 minutes travel cost. So here we sit, broiler in main oven out, lighters do not work, and the control screen is blank. Yes, Dacor was great until something broke.Original Review: Our Dacor range was great until it started needing repair. First the broiler went out in the main oven. Then some of the lighters quit working. When we called for repair, every place we called said they would no longer service Dacor because they were unable to get parts. For over a year we have gone back and forth with Dacor state office. They finally sent a “tech” from a video repair store. Really. He charged us $170 to drive to us. Then said he couldn’t get the brass rings off the burners, sorry. Called Dacor again and they said if we found anyone to let them know!!! Yesterday, the the touch panel burned out. I’m done. Dacor does not stand behind their products. I have documented all conversations. Do not buy Dacor.

The glass plate in the bottom of the oven has been a disaster from day one. Anything that drops on it leaves a white mark that is impossible to remove. It finally became so discolored that I had to have it replaced; over$100 for glass and factory-trained repairman charged $285 to install, a ten-minute job. I wish someone had told me of the problems before I spent over $5,000 on a range which should be useable, not just pretty to look at which also doesnt happen when the oven is all stained. Burners are tinny and dont begin to compare with the Thermador I have in my other home. I will never purchase another Dacor product.

Updated on 02/23/2021: Its been several weeks since I first posted. The only reply that Ive received was an email via this site that requested information from me on my claims. The info was provided the same day. A week has gone by since I provide the information and I have yet to hear back from Dacor. Not even a were looking into your issue. What I did receive was a notice from Samsung (who has acquired Dacor) telling me that one of my service tickets has been cancelled. I dutifully called the listed number to get more information... only to be told that the Samsung customer service rep could not help me and that I needed to call Dacor. Ive tried to approach this matter with humor up to this point but I am out of patience. Given the price I paid for these products, I expected a premium customer experience... the experience I have received has been abysmal.Original Review: I did not think that a customer experience could be this AWFUL or that a vendor could seem to care less than Dacor cares about resolving my issues. After 5 months, the exhaust downdraft that we purchased still does not work and Dacor either does not respond or - when I can get someone on the phone - I get any number of standard excuses (parts shortages, Covid, port backlogs are delaying deliveries, the integration with Samsung, etc, etc). I am also missing basic parts such as shelves(!) that should have been installed during the original installation. The retail partner (Specialty Appliance) does not seem to have anymore luck in getting answers.

In 2013 we remodel our kitchen. I need a 30" stove and Dacor seem the right fit. I had problem with the igniter burning on that stove and some metal warp as well. They replaced the stove in 2015. I smell gas every time I turn oven on. Last Thanksgiving 2019 the stove stop working. I was told the igniter had burned out and had it replaced. I had repairman come twice because of smell and end January 2020 the stove stop working again. The repairman told me that a jet burner assembly was never installed this is why I smell gas after it is turn on. ** They said they will order the part. It's back order So I contact Dacor. First they told me it's back order then give me a supplier. If it was never installed in the unit shouldn't Dacor take care of it and soon.

We purchased this high end Dacor range (Dacor Renaissance ER30G) new in 2011 from the Appliance Loft here in Cincinnati. It was dropped off and installed and would not operate right out of the box. A repair was made and everything worked (unless you count the indicator lights on the knobs, they all went out after approx 14 months). This past November the oven went dead. A1 appliance came out: Determined new control board needed, ordered and installed. Thanksgiving Day, oven dead. A1 comes back, reset the High Temp Fuse. Oven dead 4 days later, A1 returns with a new HTF. Dec 22, Oven dead. As soon as The holiday is over we will call another repair shop and start looking at replacing this unreliable piece of eye candy. Open comment to Dacors design engineers, quality control engineers and management. You should be totally ashamed about this product youve designed. You are supposed to represent the best in American design and quality and this falls below that of low end appliances out of China. See you in small claims court.

The fridge has been down FIVE times in 8 years and we have replaced elements, etc on the stove at 5 years. Horribly built and product support has been near non-existent, even during warranty period. We remodeled our kitchen in the fall of 2009 and decided to purchase what we thought were higher end Dacor appliances (stove top, oven and microwave). Well, what a mistake that turned out to be. Considering the price we paid for the appliances, you would not expect problems from all 3. Perhaps a problem with 1 appliance, but problems with all 3 suggest a real quality problem. My first indication should have been when I called and asked how to change the green LED on the microwave to blue to match the nice blue LEDs on the oven mounted right below. I was told that someone else makes the microwave and Dacor just puts their name, and that I should just turn off the LED on the microwave. I dont know if that is true, but that is what I was told. Now when using the microwave/convection feature, the oven makes a noise (sounds like a fan motor) for the first 3-5 minutes then eventually quiets down. A daily reminder of the mistake we made purchasing Dacor. Then those nice blue LEDs on the oven started failing making it impossible to read the clock, timer or temp. Luckily, the oven still works; you just cannot read the LED any longer. This is a constant reminder of the mistake we made buying Dacor as we see the LED every time we walk into the kitchen. Finally, we have the solid surface electric cooktop. Although it works fine, the black paint on the metal trim around the stove top is wearing off. Now, we have some shiny metal and some black trim. This is just an annoyance and honestly, we probably would not have even complained about it. However, with the other problems we have had with Dacor, it just adds to our overall disappointment with Dacor. If I knew then what I know now, I would be a lot happier because I would have GE appliances and not these overpriced low quality Dacor appliances.

We purchased a Dacor induction range 5 years ago which cost $5000 plus installation parts and service costs totalling $10000. Two days ago, an error code showed up indicating that the generator needs replacement. I contacted Dacor who states that the part is discontinued but that I could contact a refurbishing company (Corecentric) to send my generator to for possible repair. A service technician would have to remove the generator, I would send the part to Corecentric, then IF they can repair it, the tech needs to reinstall it. There are no service providers that Dacor referred me to that will service a refurbished part. Even if I wanted to try, I as an owner, cannot remove it myself because Dacor does not provide the service manual to do so. I spoke to Dacor multiple times about this problem and management stated that since the product is so out of warranty that they cannot offer any other repair option, compensation, or replacement even if the part is deemed unrepairable by Corecentric. When you pay $10000 for a product I expect it to last more than five years and that a reputable company would stand by their product and service. Essentially, Dacor inferred that we are out of $10000 because a part that POSSIBLY can be refurbished for $215 plus service costs, cant get serviced and Dacor takes no further responsibility. I have heard stories from appliance providers and service providers that since Dacor joined Samsung, that their customer service is poor and products have become inferior.

I bought this oven thinking it might be my last considering the supposed quality of Dacor. I know for sure it wont be my last oven!! I sell appliances and I never recommend Dacor ovens because of all the continued problems. Ive never used the self clean feature since being told by a Dacor tech trainer that he didnt recommend using self clean because it would cause the oven to age faster. I have owned a Dacor dual fuel 6-burner range for several years. I paid approximately $5,000 for the product. It has proven to be totally unsatisfactory. The gas burners click and make noise whenever you try to turn the burners down to a low temperature. The cook top is very hard to clean. The range is a constant problem. It smells bad, does not heat up promptly, and the broiler feature is always a problem. A gas oven is supposed to heat to and keep a constant temperature - the Dacor does not. The broiler will not cook food evenly or well. The door to the oven will not close properly and is constantly partially open. The hinges do not seem to work properly. Most importantly, I have tried on many occasions to get Dacor to do something about the defective product. They have been totally non-responsive. When I did finally get somebody to come and look at it, they spent about 2 hours cleaning it, accused me of using the wrong cleaner on the cooktop, and presented me with a bill for $800. I asked if they would just give me my money back and take the defective product with them. DONT BUY DACOR.

Arrived in good condition and so far works perfectly. Delivery was delayed by one day because of the incompetence of my local mail service. I bought this microwave, as others have described, to replace a 13 year old Dacor that had not really died but had lost the electronic screen. We put magic marker numbers on the display screen where the numbers had been 5 years ago and kept using all the functions. I decided to replace as, without the display screen, I could not do anything semi sophisticated with this microwave but its motor and microwave capacity was still going strong. This model fits perfectly into the previous 24/27 trim kit. Unfortunately our other trim kit is white to match our old microwave. Decor only has stainless steel now. And the new trim kit for this microwave is flat without the vent slats (plus costs over $300!). From the placement in our cabinet, I think the vented slats are really important to dissipate heat and am puzzled by the change in design by Dacor. The slats are a little tedious to clean but as a TV is above the microwave and an oven below I want the heat to have a better place to go. Ebay has the old trim kit in stainless steel but so far the expense seems excessive for just the outside piece. The internal support bracket for the new microwave is exactly the same as for the previous model so the only part of the trim kit needed for my microwave is the outside frame. This newer model works very similarly to the older version. I am delighted Dacor still makes this microwave to fit my space 13 to 15 years later.

When we recently remodeled our kitchen, we replaced our Dacor double ovens
When we recently remodeled our kitchen, we replaced our Dacor double ovens that we had had for 15 years. These were great ovens and not one problem with fairly heavy use, so we bought the Dacor Modernist double ovens. The ovens are usable, but they are the worst engineered product I have ever experienced. First, there is no clock on the stove because as I was told the clock would etch the screen if it was on 24 hours a day. Second, the sound the timer makes is so soft, even on the loudest setting, cannot be heard in any room but the kitchen, so I paid a premium price to carry a timer with me, so I know when my oven is done baking. Third, if I turn the oven light on, the timer either stops completely, or it resets to the original time. Fourth, the oven buzzes when it is cooking. Fifth the user manual is useless and there is no video or online information on how to use this oven that is not user friendly. Finally, I have talked to Dacor and have had the repair person here, but he knew nothing about this oven. I am sorry every time that I use this oven that I did not buy my other choice, which was the Woof double ovens, but we thought this would be wonderful product, like the wonderful product that our previous ovens were. We also thought Dacor was a family company, but is now owned by Samsung. What a disappoint these ovens have been. The engineering for this product is a disgrace for any company and I no longer see the Modernist products advertised and it may be because it is such a poorly designed product. I never met a computer that I did not love, but this is not the electronic wonder that was advertised when we bought the ovens.

Don’t purchase Dacor appliance - it’s been worst purchase experience ever and I am extremely disappointed. After six months since I purchased the Dacor built-in refrigerator, Dacor couldn’t even ship the proper installation parts and my refrigerator is still not working. Problems:1. Their high end $11K Dacor built-in refrigerator cannot even be installed. Wasted five months communicating with both Dacor and the retailer AppliancesConnection. After five months they were still able to ship the proper missing installation parts. Over the past five months, I talked to six different team members in Dacor customer support team, escalated to customer support lead and also talked to their regional technical manager, none of them is able to solve my problem and ship the right installation parts.a) Their process is extremely messy. Their customer support team had no idea about installation requirement of the refrigerator. And the request from their customer support team is declined by their internal Parts department again and again, only to find out installation parts should’ve shipped by the retailer. This is extremely confusing now and no one in the team seems to understand the right process.b) After Dacor acquired by Samsung, their manufacturing process is very messy and parts are extremely confusing. There’s one version of required installation parts in Dacor manual and one version of Samsung parts in the Parts guide, and no one in the team seems to understand the difference and how to map from one to another (they insist on sending me Samsung parts instead, claiming they’re compatible). I am now the expert myself to understand all their parts and able to identify many problems in their manual.2. As a high end brand, Dacor doesn’t seem to care about their customer at all. As a customer who did kitchen remodeling and had no refrigerator to use for five months, no one in the team seems to care about their brand or their customers. With this huge gap in the process, no one thinks about the problem from their customer’s perspective or shared empathy with me. Dacor as a brand is really bad and I am extremely disappointed in both their product and services.

We moved into our newly built home in April 2012. I purchased the Dacor 30" microwave drawer to complement a 30" electric oven that is installed just above the microwave. I am very happy with my purchase, it is stylish and works well. The drawer is spacious, I can fit multiple food items in it and they all cook evenly. We use it daily and couldn't be happier with it. If I ever move, I will purchase this microwave drawer again.

The first F1 Error needed a new membrane repair for $470.00, after 4 years of service. Now, the same F1 error after the new membrane is only 13 and 1/2 months in service and it is now out of warranty. Customer service people are rude and unhelpful but when pressed, they said they might be willing to help after a service tech, which I have to pay for, diagnoses the problem.Even the Sears store people advise their customers not to buy Dacor products and that is sad because it is one of only 2 American made options. Dacor needs to step up their product engineering, commitment to quality and get rid of the rude phone people in Customer No Service. This is not the end of this experience but the only reason I am not junking the stove is because a comparable replacement is another 3000 bucks from another vendor which I cannot afford at this time. The irony of this is that the company clearly knows they have problems but when I asked if the replacement parts had been improved so the problems wont persist, I was told that no changes or modifications to the electronic brains had been made. How stupid is that! They are just asking for more problems with the parts they send you to fix what does not work.

In 2001, I bought a Dacor dual range stove. I paid over $2000. My problem is that there is a defect in the product; when you use the self-cleaning, the outside of the stove cracks up. Dacor has replaced this three times and each time it cracks again. I spoke with them about a year ago and because I didnt continue the warranty, they wouldnt replace it. I carry a home warranty. My stove looks like it came from the junkyard. I understand them not repairing a physical problem with the stove but the outside is crumbling because of a defect in their product. If you dont clean the oven, then you get an error and the only way to get it off is to clean but all that dose causes the outside to crack up more. It pains me to think of buying a new range when I thought I had done my homework, when I choose Dacor. I hope this isnt too late, but it pains me to think after another cleaning I may be forced to buy another stove.

I purchased a Dacor range hood 3 years ago. I had an intermittent problem from the start, as one of the two lights would intermittently go off. Replacing the bulbs didnt fix it. As one light worked perfectly, it became a tolerable issue. Finally, I was having other electrical work done in our home & I asked my electrician to look at it two weeks ago. He figured out that it was a defective lamp housing that incorrectly held the lamp bulb. Dacor shipped me a replacement lamp housing for me at no charge. I installed it this last weekend and it is running fine. Thanks, Dacor!
