I purchased the double dish washer from Fisher & Paykel. They have high quality products. It measures up pretty well to other appliances Ive looked at. My favorite feature on the dish washer is the 2 drawers.

My wife has been complaining and she’s got arthritis in her back and she complained about the refrigerator down there and the freezer at the top and she wanted one with the freezer down and the refrigerator up at the top so she wouldn’t have to bend over. Whenever she had to clean it or anything, she was having trouble. Then they had a good deal on the Fisher & Paykel. This is the first one I’ve ever bought. Usually, we buy Whirlpool. But I believe it’s a good refrigerator so far. Our favorite is that the refrigerator is up at the top and my wife isn’t always fussing with me about it. The doors and everything on it seem very nice. There’s another nice feature about it - you got a buzzer on it if you left the door open. So far, I’d give it 5 stars. I haven’t had any problem at all.

I had an issue with my Fisher & Paykel stove oven door not fully closing and providing a good tight seal. I initiated a service request under my warranty in the middle of May 2017. As of today... July 7, 2017, I have not had a service call initiated by the company. They sent me the repair parts but will not schedule a service call today. Talked to the region rep for the company numerous times on the phone only to leave me frustrated to no end. I have at this point given up on getting any satisfaction with this issue. BUYER BEWARE!

We have been the proud owner of a two-drawer for approximately 9 years. We liked the design so much we bought the dishwasher in another state and transported it to Florida of installation. We have turned a deaf ear on the fact that it is noisy due to the fact that we liked the convenience of it so much. Well, things have started to go wrong with the unit which include losing the backlighting on one of the displays, total breakdown of the plastic trim plates and failure of the drawers to drain. At times, the bottom drawer has in excess of one inch of water after completion of the cycle. The other day, I called the customer service number and spoke to a lovely young lady who attempted to address my concerns, took down all of my identifying information and advised me that she would attempt to obtain some sort of assistance for me toward the purchase of a new dishwasher. My wife and I agreed that based on the age of the unit, it is probably not worth the expense of having a repair person visit, diagnose the problem and obtain all the parts that would be needed to get it running and make it look good again. To my dismay, I called back today, provided all of my identifying information and learned that my call was not on file and therefore, nothing had been done on my issue. What a shame because even though these units do not get great reviews in the United States, my wife and I were willing to take another chance on a new one instead of buying a conventional one. We had had a pretty good experience with our unit and are just hoping we can get some assistance, as these dishwashers are very expensive. I would think that a company with the good reputation of Fisher and Paykel would want to ensure that their customers are satisfied for the life of the appliance. I am getting the feeling that they are really not interested in helping me at all!

I absolutely hated the Maxima Maytag set that I had gotten and had been a Maytag person for about 30 years. I actually got rid of it, a very recent purchase of a Maytag frontloading set, because I didn’t like them at all and I like this Fisher & Paykel top loading set a lot. I love it! I’m really pleased with the purchase. It’s much more efficient. It’s easy, easy, easy, easy to use, not complicated at all. I like the fact that it’s simple and that it doesn’t have a lot of extras that I don’t need and would never use. But actually, even as it is, it has more than I use now, but it’s good. Space-wise, it’s not as deep, which is great, because in my case, I was kind of surprised by the depth of the front loader and it was inconvenient because it got in our way. So that was another reason why I got rid of the other one. And I’d only had the other set for a year. There’s two comments that I’d like to make with this F&P set… First thing is that I’m unhappy not being able to soak clothes because that’s a nuisance. I’m used to old top loaders where you could fill up the tub, put some bleach in there and soak it overnight, and you can’t do that with this. And unless there’s a way that I can be taught how to do it, I actually called the main headquarters and they simply said it wasn’t possible. Secondly, I’m not sure if it’s what I’ve been using for laundry soap, but it seems like things are a little dingier than they used to be. I’m not sure. I think that might be the soap that I’m using. It’s the whites aren’t getting as white as I’m used to. But I don’t think that’s the washing machine; I think that’s my products. The cleaning products that I use, I’ve always made my own, and I’ve never had a problem with things getting completely clean before and it seems like maybe there’s a residue because they’re not using as much water. And so, I changed back to the high efficiency stuff and everything seems just fine, but it’s a lot more expensive than what I do. Overall, it’s a great machine!

I needed a new washer and went to Tracys Appliance in Lima. Im only 4 foot 7 inches so many of the washers were too big for me. The salesman was showing me around and showed me the Fisher & Paykel and talked to me about it. I was able to reach to the bottom of the washer. I said Id take it and they delivered the next day. Im very happy with my washer and dryer. This is far superior than others Ive had. It does an excellent job! I almost look forward to doing the laundry. Im very pleased with it and how it does my laundry.

We bought a brand new house with brand new appliances. Since move in, our warming drawer and dishwasher have not worked properly. The dishwasher has always leaked and the warming drawer was actually midwifed AT THE FACTORY. It turned on high and wouldnt turn off. It melted its own thermostat and control knob and was a major fire hazard. We had to turn off the breaker. The parts have since been replaced. The dishwasher is a major leak problem. It is ruining our beautiful new floor. We have had 4 services on it and a replaced part and the bottom drawer still leaks. Despite the fact that it is under manufacturers warranty, the company wont replace it. Save yourself the pain and DO NOT PURCHASE from this company.

On 3/24, we purchased a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator from Lowes. We had the refrigerator delivered on 4/6. The refrigerator worked for only two weeks when the power went out completely. We called F&P on 4/20 (the day it went out) and we were referred to a local authorized service provider. We called the the company they recommended and were not able to schedule service until 4/24. The technician came out and found that the circuit board was bad. How can a refrigerator that is only two weeks old have a bad circuit board? The technician ordered a new circuit board on 4/25. It took a week for the part to arrive and he came to install the new circuit board on 5/4.Within a few hours of the technician leaving, we noticed an F11 error, which has something to do with a fan. We noticed, at that time, that the refrigerator was not cooling, although the freezer seemed to be working. We called the technician back and were not able to schedule another visit until 5/9. By the time the technician comes on 5/9, we will be 19 days with no refrigerator. It is simply not acceptable for a new appliance to work for only two weeks. We paid $2,000 for this refrigerator and it has been broken for longer than it actually worked. I called customer service on 5/4 and explained everything that has occurred. I was offered a 3-month extension of the warranty. How does that fix the problem? Why would I want to extend a warranty on something that doesnt even work? I was put on hold to speak with a supervisor and coincidentally none were available. At that point, the representative told me that she looked over my file again and could offer to extend my warranty an extra six months. This is simply not a solution. How does extending the warranty make up for not having a working refrigerator for longer than having a working one, throwing away all of the food we had in the refrigerator, and having to eat every meal out for three weeks? I told the representative that this was not acceptable and I still wanted to speak with a supervisor. So, now my file has been expedited, and she said I should get a call from a supervisor on Monday (5/7). I hope I do. This refrigerator is clearly a lemon and should be considered DOA (dead on arrival). We should be sent a new refrigerator and receive a credit for our loss of use for three weeks.

I didnt want something with ice on the door but I liked the idea of an ice maker in the freezer and water in the door. Ive never seen one that does that. Im very happy with my DCS 30 range. The range provides me with plenty of BTUs on all burners allowing me to do a proper saute and a great braise. The oven is very well insulated and does a great job with even browning from roasting chicken to baking bread. I do wish there was a switch to shut off the cooling fan so I can manually shut it off. Ive worked on other ranges in this price range and none have performed as well, were built as well or looked as great. Im glad someone still cares about the quality of their product.

We bought a dual drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher in 2009 for a house
We bought a dual drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher in 2009 for a house that we were building. Due to problems with the builder, the dishwasher sat unpacked in a garage for a year. When it was finally installed, it didnt work! First, the bottom drawer didnt drain. We called a plumber to come look at it. He called the Fisher & Paykel appliance rep. They recommended that we install two separate drain lines. It still didnt drain. The appliance guy and plumber each came out again and we even tried a different plumber. Now the bottom drawer drains but the top one doesnt, which completely defeats the purpose of having a dual drawer dishwasher. We contacted Fisher and Paykel and Lowes where we purchased the appliance and neither would offer any assistance as the warranty had expired. We have only used the machine 20 times. Its such a shame and waste. Our KitchenAid dual drawer dishwasher at our old home worked much better with no problems. We had bought this one because we were told it was quieter. It is quieter because we dont use it

Love the dishwasher since we can out one part of meal and pots and pans in and then the rest of dishes of the meal next in bottom. Works like a charm! Convenient and all cycles excellent. This is my newest one and honestly hate the single drawer Washer now. You can put everything in at once your kitchen is clean and just set it to turn on a d wash while you sleep! Only problem we have is the installer didnt balance or lock the wheels Properly So if you have the top drawer open while loading dishes dont turn your back. The doshwasher falls over and you have to catch it After coronovirus we will get it properly i stalled but the dishwasher works great!

I wanted the tri-folder, the French door refrigerator, and when I found out that a full-sized one would not fit in my house, I started looking for the counter-depth one and I happened upon the Fisher&Paykel. I like to shop through Lowes because of their stuff and I found out Lowes sold them and serviced them. But they really should have one on display so people can see them and see what they look like. Because you really have to see it to appreciate it. So I contacted a Fisher&Paykel place out in California and asked them some questions and I told them I wanted to see one first. They sent me some sites by Lancaster, PA which I ended going to Mount Joy to see one on display but I didn’t buy it from them. I ended up going to it was like an Ace hardware store that sold the appliances... And oh my God, I love it! My Fisher&Paykel refrigerator performs beautifully and its sleek. Even the delivery guys had never seen one or heard of them before and they were just all over it, looking at it and thought how nice it was. And the size of it is just fine for everything for where its at. Anyone looking for one especially for a counter-depth would be worth their while to check this Fisher&Paykel refrigerator out.

We purchased this very expensive machine and it simply does NOT clean dishes well. We had the dealer out multiple times (they were great) - 2 of those so he could call FP technicians and work with them. I always had to call FP back. They asked me to get the dealer back out - the dealer said no. FP said they would elevate to DM and after 2 months (called back twice) I called again and got disconnected after waiting 20 minutes. My 30 year old Maytag cleans better. The rack broke as well on the FP. The people on the phone were nice - no one ever followed up and bothers calling back when they disconnect you. I would never buy their brand again. The machine is pretty but poorly designed - unless you have tiny, thin dishes there is no way to pack it without things touching and they will tell you that is why it is not clean. First - bad designed racks. Second that is simply not true - I am sure it would clean better but I know how I could stuff the heck out of my Maytag and it always cleaned. I started packing their half full to test their theory and I still got uncleaned, grimy, crusty dishes. Bad product - Worse Service. I cant afford a new one. I spent the extra money on this b/c I figured it would save money. I might as well do the dishes by hand.

We wanted to switch from a conventional dishwasher to a drawer type. We’re both getting older and decided we didn’t want to bend down to the floor anymore and so we decided we would go with this, and Fisher & Paykel essentially had a good reputation. We thought we’d try them and we’re pleased. We’ve had it since we moved into a new condominium at the end of June and it’s the Tall DishDrawer. It works very well. I am getting the cleanest, clearest glasses I’ve ever seen come out of a dishwasher. I like the way the inside of the dishwasher is set up because I like the fold down, fold up racks for the glassware which comes in very handy for various sizes. There are a number of clips for putting in very sharp long knives. As a cook, you use very long chef knives. In a regular dishwasher, you can’t really put them in. So I thought that was an excellent feature. Also the cutlery container is very nicely designed so that you can put all of your sharp steak knives point down. It is an exceptionally clean looking and clean staying dishwasher. The entire inside of the dishwasher is stainless steel. It’s really a dream to use. I recommend it to everybody.

From the day I purchased my Fisher Paykel washer, it leaked. I had service techs out at least 5 or 6 times to repair it. First, they told me I was using too much laundry detergent. So I cut it in half. That was wrong, it still leaks. After 2 years, now, it has started making a high-pitched squealing sound. First, it started only when it started filling, then when it started to spin, and now all the time. It still leaks. Thank goodness, I was smart enough after the first flood to purchase a drain pan to sit it in, or I would be replacing floors constantly. The agitator has had to be replaced 3 times already. I would not recommend any Fisher Paykel appliances to anyone. The company is no help at all and the appliance store ( Maidencreek TV & Appliance, Reading, Pa) are useless. Their service techs are hopeless, as to what to do to fix the problem. They recommended I purchase an extended warranty since I was having so much trouble with the unit. If you want to throw your money away, just purchase a Fisher Paykel appliance. My new GE washer and dryer arrives on Friday. I told my husband to leave the washer in the yard and every time I use my new unit, I want to beat the Fisher Paykel with a sledge hammer and after that, I want to hook a chain to it and drag it behind my truck.

We bought our F&P Dish Drawer DD603 in 2002 during a kitchen remodel along with new countertops, Sub-zero, stove, microwave, etc. I would say we use our dishwasher regularly but no more than expected and especially at the price we paid. That said, I think at this point, Ive paid in repair costs pretty much what I paid for the unit plus extended warranty plus installation back then. When our extended service warranty ran out years ago, the DIY in me took on the task of diagnosing, buying, and replacing the parts myself. However, Im now at the point of deciding whether to cut my losses and toss the whole thing out. Last Oct., there was a leak, which rendered the unit inoperable. I replaced the shorted main filter board, both top and bottom wiring harness, and the bottom controller. All was well for about a month. Then, it looked like the top drawers lid wasnt closing securely as I find moisture on the side of the tub after a complaint of beeping dilemma. (She swears there wasnt anything remotely big in the tub that would prevent the lid from closing.) In any case, the top drawer controller seems to be a goner.Last night, I replaced the top controller. The top unit did light up, but my wife did the trial run using the bottom drawer instead. The top drawer practically beeped all night and no amount of coaxing, turn off, lock, open drawer, etc., would silence it. No codes, just R2D2 on a binge. Whats next? Replace the main filter again, a bad controller, replace the actuators, the entire lid, etc.? I have two choices now: (a) somehow rig this unit to see if it can operate with the good bottom drawer only or (b) cut my losses, parcel out my recently purchased parts on eBay, and replace the dishwasher? One of my neighbors bought the same F&P DD unit, but Im afraid to check with her about her experience.

We bought a BRAND NEW FISHER PAYKEL WASHING MACHINE and on the 8th day, which is only the 3rd time we have used it, when it spin, the whole machine was shaking badly. So we called Fisher Paykel Customer Service and advised what happened. We took a video of the machine shaking. They scheduled us for a day for the repairman to check so my husband went off for work just to able to attend to the repairman. And then, he said, it defective and he requested with their Customer Service for it to be replaced...The second BRAND NEW FISHER PAYKEL WASHING MACHINE arrives but when we tried it, it also shakes but not as bad as the first unit. My husband wanted to call Customer Service again. I told him, its not bad as the first unit so maybe its just normal, but the next time we used it, shaking was not good, so we took a video of it again just to show how the machine is again shaking. And not just that, we had these boxes of my boots at the side of the washing machine and its all wet and it just came to our knowledge that the BRAND NEW FISHER PAYKEL WASHING MACHINE has a leak as well... What a quality. ;( So we called Customer Service and requested for another day to have a check on it, that was weekend. We requested if they can schedule us on the coming Monday for I am on leave from work but they said its all fully booked. They scheduled us on Wednesday same week 12-5pm.However, this is the 2nd time of this issue with this BRAND NEW FISHER PAYKEL WASHING MACHINE and its not that easy to ask from work for another half day or leave. So my husband clearly advised with the Customer Service that he will be available by 5pm and they said back theyll see. So on Wednesday, I called Customer Service to confirm that technician will come on 5pm that day. The person I spoke to tells me that the technician will be finished working by 4:30pm in our area so 5pm is not possible. So I told her, is there any other option for we need someone to check the machine for it is not fair that we are paying a lot of money on this defective BRAND NEW FISHER PAYKEL WASHING MACHINE.She throw the question back to me asking me what are other options I can think of. She told me shell ask the technician to call me 1hr before hell come. Just to put in perspective, she is quite nice lady, though. So I told her, I can use my lunch time to drive home just for this to be checked for I cant have another leave for I just had one. So she checked the technician schedule and said that we are scheduled for 12-1pm so it is fine that I can drive back home at lunch time so the technician can come at the scheduled time as what their system is saying. So I was thinking when she says that we are scheduled on 12-1pm, I just need to just go home and wait for the technician on the scheduled time.So I approached my Manager and advised that Ill be leaving but be back by 1sh. So when I arrived home around 12:10pm, I called Customer Service to confirm that technician will be coming as what was scheduled, as what their system is showing. But the lady on the other line says a straight NO, YOU ARE 12-5PM, NOT 12-1PM. Which makes my blood went up to my head. I drive 35-45 minutes to come home and then you will tell me that technician will not see me as what Ive been advised on phone earlier? I was pretty mad, disappointed whatever you call it, that we bought this FISHER PAYKEL WASHING MACHINE. The reason we bought a brand new is not to have a lot of drama, but we had more that we expected... Not really happy with the unit and with the Customer Service. I better refund the money for this unit and buy another Brand. THUMBS DOWN...

I purchased a FP washer & dryer in 2008 with good recommendations. What a disappointment! Noisy, noisy, noisy. Im embarrassed when we have company and they ask, Whats that noise? I am embarrassed to say its brand name. This is supposed to be a good washer and dryer. The washer is off balance with every load of sheets I wash and plenty of other loads. What an inconvenience to constantly try to re-balance the loads. Also, the design of the dispensers is awful. I have to take them apart and clean them because disgusting black stuff is lurking under the covers. The dryer takes so long to dry. The lint bucket is emptied after each load but about monthly, my husband has to take the lint filter assembly apart to clean the internal parts or the sensor gets covered and the dryer works even longer.Ive been using automatic washers and dryers for 42 years and have never been more dissatisfied. I will never recommend FP to anyone, in fact, my recommendation for an FP product would be to stay away!

We bought our fridge, brand new in Sep 2011. After 3 years of use, our Fisher & Paykel E240BR fridge has broken down, 3 times in the last 3 months. July 2014 - Fridge was freezing everything, but the freezer was working fine. Called the F&P repair service and they couldnt come for 8 days. When they eventually came, the repairman fixed the thermostat and said it should be good. 30 August 2014 - Fridge & freezer stopped cooling, although motor was running. Everything in the fridge was warm and spoiled. Again F&P repair service couldnt come for a week. In the meantime we had no fridge and had to throw out over $200 worth of food from fridge and freezer.By the time the repairman came, fridge had started working again. He said there was nothing he could do until it broke down. 28 September 2014 (TODAY) - Again fridge and freezer have stopped working. Did not notice until tonight and again everything in the fridge is warm. When we rang the F&P call centre, they cannot come until Tuesday. Ridiculous. Call centre person was extremely rude and tried to say they had fixed it. Um if you had fixed it then why is it warm and stopped working again. Needless to say I am going to buy a new fridge tomorrow. Broken down 3 times in the last 3 months and its only 3 years old. Very unreliable, poorly made product. Will not be buying another F&P in the future.

Fisher and Paykel dryer DEIX2 - I purchased this dryer at Lowes approximately 4 years ago. During the four years, weve had the lint scraper replaced two times. It has broken again. When the lint scraper breaks, all of the lint from your clothes ends up getting caught inside the mechanism of the dryer or pushed out the dryer vent. We typically know we have a problem when the clothes stop drying in a timely manner; little lint is in our lint trap and the dryer vent has visible lint blocking it from the exterior of the house. It is somewhat surprising this dryer has not caused a fire. Ive had enough of worrying about lint getting trapped in our dryer vent and/or our lint trap breaking. The lint trap works perfectly for a short time frame, but the design and materials are not nearly robust enough for the premium you pay for this product. There is absolutely no question, this is the absolute worst appliance or piece of equipment Ive every purchased. I would give the dryer 0 stars if that was an option.

We went to Gorsuch Appliance in Canton and they were telling us about the Fisher & Paykel. My Maytag washer died after 18 years so I switched to the Fisher & Paykel on their recommendation. What sold me on the product was the no agitator thing and that it weighed the load. Also because Maytag is not what it used to be. I like the washer. Compared to what my other one was, its slow and I thought these new washers were faster. It takes a little longer, but I can get more clothes in. Thats a big plus. And Ive only had one time where it was off balanced and that was the first time that I washed sheets and I didnt read the instructions properly.

We recently purchased a Fisher Paykel Double Dish drawer. It is extremely quiet even when both drawers are being washed at the same time. My wife enjoys the fact that she can use either one or both drawers and have clean dishes in one and put dirty dishes in the other drawer. She also likes that the dishwasher heats the water during the wash cycle. The dishes are clean at the end of the dishwashing cycle and come out clean without pre-cleaning. The drawers have good capacity. The only downside is that you have to be careful that you dont put any handle or dish above the top of the drawer as it could jam the drawer and make it impossible to open after the dish drawer is run (We have never had this happen, just a precaution). I would definitely recommend this to others.

We have the 30-inch double oven and the double dish drawer. We installed both of them at the same time about 6 years ago. We have had a repairman at our home a minimum of 5 times each year for both products. I really am not exaggerating. In the beginning, the work was covered by warranty. For several years, we have been paying out of pocket. Each visit has cost between $100 and $500. We have waited for parts for over four months (seriously, no oven during that entire time). FPs response when I called directly was Madam, other people have had to wait much longer than that. You have to wait your turn for the part. Im not kidding. Its the worst customer service I have ever seen. And alas, our oven is not working again. The repairman is coming again on Monday. Well pay him $75 (again) to look at it.If the required parts cost more than $200 (which they almost always do), then I think we are throwing it in the trash. At the price we paid for the oven, it should have worked perfectly - at least for a few years. Our dish drawer was last fixed about 3 months ago. We havent had any issues since then, which is remarkable for that product, a full 3 months with a functioning dishwasher! I really hope others read my review and avoid Fisher Paykel products. I rarely write reviews, but these are the worst purchases that I have ever made. The products perform wonderfully when they work, but unfortunately, they rarely work. By the way, we are not abusers of the appliances. All of our other appliances (made by other companies) have performed without any issues. Oh, and yes, I have called FP directly many times over the years. Our repair companies have also called as they were appalled at the repeated issues with the products. FP did not stand behind their product at all. Im very disappointed.

I bought three Fisher & Paykel dish drawers for my new kitchen and extended the warranty for 5 years. Throughout the 5 years, 2 of the dishwashers worked perfectly. One we constantly had problems with. Authorized service came out a number of times and said that our dishwasher issues came from these little tiny bugs on our circuit board. Our house has no bugs. Interestingly, I was talking to my friend who loved my dishwasher and when she remodeled her house, she bought two single drawer dishwashers. I was surprised to find that she has one that operates perfectly. The other is plagued with these little bugs and shes disgusted. She also has no bugs in her home either. Now, we are both thinking that this is something that probably came from the warehouse where these were stored. I now have to replace the dishwasher after about 6 years. I’m very, very dissatisfied.

The technician came and the fridge was sent away for two weeks. I had new refrigeration unit put in and only three months later, in February 2012, the fridge overheated. The technician came and replaced fan. Cost is $125. I did ask for a different technician and was told I had to wait three weeks. How can anyone go without a fridge for three weeks? Ive owned front-load machines for the past 5 years. Had a good experience with them as well. I just moved into top-load HE laundry and went F&P. After comparing the two styles I would recommend the F&P top-loaders. Being able to control your water levels is such an advantage to laundry. Heavily soiled stains are removed more significant with extra water. Having a thorough rinse improved my whites and stained outdoor clothing. The gentleness of F&P laundry is at peak level. My delicate clothing is avoiding vigorous wear and tear, even though front-load offers a delicate cycle. The controlled spin out speed is phenomenal. Clothes are noticeably softer and brighter. F&P laundry is amazing and I would recommend to any consumer.

I am expressing my concern and frustration with Fisher Paykel. I lodged call on the 6/3/2017 as my Fisher Paykel washing machine MW513 was leaking. I did a number of tests to see where the water was coming from and it all directed back to the washing machine. When the washing machine was on high (with clothes in it), it would start leaking from the washing to rinse cycle onwards. (this was clarified to Fisher Paykel on my phone call). When they had initially sent someone out here there was a lot of mucking around and the technician was meant to come on Friday 10/3/2017, he ended going to the wrong place and cancelling my job, which then led to a series of mistakes on FP end. This led to a number of phone calls and a lot of time out from work to rectify their mistake. They then had to send a new technician the following week (16/03/2017), whereby my mum was here and explained and showed the technician the photos and his response to her was when we wash the clothes on high place the same amount of clothes to the equivalent amount of water and do the cycle. When he conducted his tests there was no water leaking, as he never tried it with the clothes inside. He then cut the pipe shorter as he advised my mum it was too long. He then left for the next job. I came home and did exactly what he said (also advised in his job summary report to me) and again, the leakage started. I then called FP and advised what occurred and what the tech said to my mum.Over the phone they were going to take over 1.5 weeks to come and service my machine when I also advised that a small tile was starting to lift and causing water damage. The after-hours lady told me to call back the next business day as she couldnt do anything about it but could only book the appointment in. I called back the next day and advised the same thing, to which the gentlemen said he will make this a high priority (again to no avail and to a number of mistakes where they had a dryer to service instead of washing machine). A number of calls later and a different tech guy came out on the 22/3/2017. When he came I was here and advised him all of the above and advised for him to see the photos which he never wanted to and stated he believed me. He ran two water tests on high and no leakage happened (these were fast tracked from filling up the washing machine to the spin cycle, missing the washing rinse part).I did state to him that the leak ONLY happens when the water and clothes are in the machine and set on high. He still never put any clothes in. His advice to me was to wash my clothes on medium or low and the splash backs will not occur. If that was the case what is the relevance of buying a washing machine to only put the machine on medium and low? After he had left I called the customer service line 22/3/2017 (as clearly I was disappointed, stressed and upset), to which the customer service boy was very rude and basically stated that I am lying. The reason being is I advised him what happened and that I had photos of this and his response was anyone can take a photo and pretend their washing machine is leaking. I do not believe this is the way to address someone who is already stressed out that her apartment is going to flood and cause damage to below / surrounding apartments, as well as my own.I was then told by the same person to wash my clothes again and video it. I said I am a woman and I cannot lift the washing machine as it is heavy and you are now asking me to have the same leak occur and for me to clean up the mess yet again? His response was like yeah. What kind of people are they employing and how can they even think of treating their customers like this and getting away with it? I have already taken numerous time of out of work and constantly have to watch the machine when I wash.I didnt buy this washing machine so I can only place it on a certain level. It is under one years old and only until this year March, the problem occurred. There was no other history and when I made these complaints, it was indirectly stated back to me that nothing is wrong and I felt they thought I did know what I was talking about (deeming as I am woman). But, as my mum and my friend had witnessed, the water was coming from the machine. I will not be breaking my back lifting and cleaning again.I also asked a few times if I can get a cash settlement back and to speak to a team leader (none of which was done or considered at the time of the calls). The reason being is so I can buy a more reliable machine and can wash my clothes on high. I have uploaded photos and receipt of when I purchased the washing machine. I would like to be able to either get a reimbursement for the machine or a better quality machine, as I am wasting heaps of money on water bills. This by far, is the worst customer service I have ever received and do not advise anyone to purchase their products.

I went to Warners Stellian here in the Twin Cities. I asked what are my options for a 36-inch unit. I had no background on Fisher & Paykel. I got their 36-inch stove. It works, it heats up to temperature. The burners on top are a little bit more aggressive. I would have liked to have a different simmer burner than what I have on there but all things considered, I would give it a 9 out of 10. It is beautiful. I didnt buy it originally because of cost. Its truly a beautiful piece of equipment. I would definitely consider, its a beautiful artistic design and it looks absolutely stunning in my kitchen. It was nineteen years before I got a kitchen remodel and it is a beautiful piece.. Theres a glitch for some reason - if I start the burner on top, it can turn the oven off, I have to be real careful for that. Im not sure why, I should probably check into it. But this is what I like the best out of it and Ill be honest with you - the oven heats to temperature PERFECTLY. And I have such a respect for that because thats what its supposed to do. Thats why you buy an oven! That Whirlpool took an hour to heat to 300 and you have to set it. You dont have enough paper to write my comments on that one.

Generally, GWL 10 US is a decent washer from 2002. But I have had previous service issue after five years with diverter valve and a separated lid that was replaced. Now at 10 years old, spin cycle will not always engage and a foul smell of burning rubber is present. They will probably have this issue fixed, but I will not purchase Fisher Paykel again.

I have a dishwasher which is over 20 years old. I paid $142 for technician to come out & he didnt have parts so no repair done on that day. Waited a couple of weeks for parts. Technician returned & broke insert handle while taking off this part. Technician told me as dishwasher was old, it fell to bits but I wouldnt have to pay for these extra parts. I then heard nothing from F&P re further repair, emailed twice, called twice & I finally got a response & was told that F&P had parts but I had to pay for part technician broke.I called Consumer Affairs & they advised that under section 60 F&P could not charge me for extra parts. Bob ** from F&P called today & advised that F&P are not liable & unless I paid, they would not fix my dishwasher. I asked for a refund of initial service fee & was told this would not occur, but they were willing to sell me a new dishwasher & take $142 off cost. I now have to pay an extra $95.49 for extra parts. I would not recommend their service and will not buy an F&P product again, as they are not willing to stand by their products no matter how old they are.

Our dishwasher was installed during a remodel by the appliance company in August 2021. The top drawer immediately had issues getting stuck on a code during every wash, beeping and stopping the cycle. We had the appliance service come out 4 times with no resolution. Fisher Paykel declined to replace the product stating it was an installation error. The appliance company has come out twice more with no resolution. We have been making due, being patient, because the bottom drawer which is smaller, had been working. Today the bottom drawer malfunctioned, in order to stop the beeping we had to turn off the electricity to the dishwasher. We have spoken to Fisher Paykel on two occasions asking for replacement, the appliance company has taken pictures to indicate this is not a installation issue. It has been a fight to prove this is a faulty product. This is a Fisher Paykel appliance and I would expect them to address the issue. It is now the end of January and we have yet to have a functioning product.

Well, our washing machine stopped working the other day. It would fill up with water, try to swish back and forth, but seemed very slow and almost stuck. By the time I got home, the water smelled funny from the wash. I tried to cycle it to the rinse and spin cycle to get the smelly water out at least, with no avail. I unplugged it, hoping it would reset. It would then start the wash cycle again, and it would chug a little then just hum, then stop and make an alarm - beeeeeep, beeep (like a fire alarm). So I emptied out the yucky water, and took out the clothes hoping maybe something was catching in it and it would start again. Chugged a little faster, but still stopped and wouldnt spin or drain. Emptied water again.Ok, Im tempted to take it apart but realized maybe it would void the warranty, so decided to google it and it directed me to this site. Boy was I in for a surprise. Based on the comments and reviews, I immediately thought of getting a new machine that was not Fisher Paykel. These units were bought for us in a new home in 2008 from the contractor, so I wasnt sure if my warranty was still good or not. To my surprise, I called the toll free number on this site, and immediately got a representative that deals directly with problems. No wait time. Lisa was very informative, patient, and understanding of the issue. We went through the flow sheet together to try and diagnose the issue. Still no resolution. She offered to send out a Fisher tech at a rate of $85.00 for the consultation and whatever time it would take them to fix it. She guessed maybe only 30 minutes.Lisa offered to supply the parts free of charge, although I might have been out of warranty. Parts could have ranged up to $350. I weighed out the cost versus buying a new unit, and I realize I still would be coming out ahead with the tech. Plus he would be there the next day. Tech showed up early at 9:30am and diagnosed that mattress pad material that we laundered and got stuck in the motor mechanism. Replace motor mechanism as a precaution but would have worked otherwise. Funny thing, I almost suspected that because after I removed the dirty stinky water, it smelled liked something was burnt due to being stuck. But once again, Im just a doctor and no handyman at all, but I still try to do things myself when I can. I always research first, then do.My experience with the company is 4.5 out of 5 stars. Lisa gets 5 stars, the 0.5 stars less was because the tech was there for only 10 minutes top and charged us $65 still? So I wasnt sure about that, but I wasnt home, and my wife didnt know what to expect. I would have challenged his rate, to see if he prorates it or not, but maybe they bill by the hour regardless. I wished he changed my control panel and water pump as a precaution because this seemed to be a known problem, but I wasnt there to ask him. Why? Because if that fails soon, then I will have to pay the service call again along with his time. I hope this doesnt happen, because I might not be so understanding after that. So my bills $150.00. Im very satisfied with how this went down. My machine works, but Im still cautiously optimistic about the longevity of this product. However, I do feel Fisher and Lisa will take care of me if future problems arise. Thanks Lisa, and good luck everyone!

We were buying new appliances because ours were 22 years old and the refrigerator was starting to have issues. We only had a 30 opening and we werent satisfied with any of the big refrigerators until we saw the Fisher & Paykel. I couldnt get it out of my mind and we went back and bought it. Compared to other models Ive had, its excellent. Its got the bottom freezer, which we love. We like how the shelves are. Its got such clean, nice lines. Its so beautiful we dont want to put anything on it to cover it up.

We got the two-drawer dishwasher from Fisher & Paykel. Our other unit died and this is the first time we’re purchasing from them. My favorite feature on the unit is it having 2 drawers. Were an older couple and I have one drawer of dishes a day which is perfect. If you have smelly fish dishes or something you want them to be done straight away. And it works very well for us. Im absolutely delighted with it. It works beautifully and its extremely quiet. And of course its a good Kiwi product. My wife is Kiwi, which is good. What else can I say?

My Fisher & Paykel GWL11 Washer quit working a week ago. The repairman has been here twice, once to diagnose and then again to install valve and pump. The washer still does not work; the spin cycle will not work. He will come out here again to see if the problem is with the board. Based on what I am reading in this forum, perhaps I should cut my losses and go buy a new washer. I wish I had my old dependable Maytag. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to buy another washer.

The Fisher Paykel dual drawer dishwasher is an excellent new example of high quality and performance in a kitchen dish washing appliance. The dual drawer is engineered wonderfully to provide multiple ways to perform, and perform it does! The two drawers provide flexibility beyond a normal/standard design. The loading capabilities are different yet provided with a lot of forethought given to providing space. It utilizes much more of the actual inside space of the two drawer/washers. Once you understand the loading capabilities of the provided inside racks and adjustment capabilities, the loading capabilities are creative and useful. Three simple buttons on the outside of each drawer provide easy execution of functions. The dual washers are extremely easy to start, stop or pause at any time, using the three simple buttons. The system has various wash cycles and times all easily accessed and executed by another single button conveniently located inside either drawers top edge. A small LED lit screen on each drawer face provides a moving icon that lets the user know have knowledge of what stage of a cycle the wash drawer is executing. The LED also shows the cycle time duration working backwards from a start time to the finish of the cycle. The Fisher Paykel system is very quiet working washer. Yes, you can hear some functions executing some times during the cycle, but it is very quiet overall. Most importantly, the Fisher Paykel Dual Washing system cleans and shines dishes, glassware and utensils with precision to a sparkling bright clean. This is especially true if the user does not allow large amounts of food to enter the system. Pre-rinsing is any dishwashers best friend! Use this kitchen appliance/tool correctly, and you will have a great dish washing experience with this product. By far, the Fisher Paykel Dual Dish Washing system is the highest quality, best working, and easy to use dish washing appliance I have ever had in any of my kitchens. I highly recommend the Fisher Paykel Dual Drawer Dish Washing Appliance/System for any kitchen.

On December 4, 2013, I wrote a review of this gas range and expressed my concern about being abandoned by the manufacturer and left with a stove that could not be repaired. We knew our stove was out of warranty, we were just shocked that we had been told by their local repair company that it could not be repaired. In response to that post, we were contacted by the manufacturer who came to our aid and not only found the solution, but had our stove fixed without charge. So Fisher Paykel has gone beyond the call of duty here, and we certainly appreciate their reaching out to consumers of their product. Thank you.

We have a GWL12 top-loading washer. I will start off by saying my wife and I love the washer and dryer we have, but we are not loving it so much these days. We have had the controller board go out for the third time and its getting very costly. I will say Fisher Paykel did step up to the plate on the first one, but the second was on me, and now I have yet another dead washer. I have been all up and down these forums and had seen nothing but bad reviews when it comes to these controller boards. These boards are $150 a pop. This last one only lasted 2 years. I had to go buy an older, used washer just to keep the washing going. But I still have hopes of fixing this washer one last time. Dont get me wrong, its a really good washer when its running. I have seen bad reviews on the GWL11 and GWL12 for this problem. I hope things are improving over there. These are too expensive of washers to break down like this. Sorry for the rant.

Over the course of three years we have had 6 service calls on the Fisher Paykel dish drawer dishwasher. The hoses crack and water has leaked onto my wood floor causing damage 3 times. Another time, the electric board needed replacing, and just two weeks ago the entire magnet and inner workings on the top drawer need to be replaced. The total cost of this last repair is $600. Before this current dishwasher, we owned the first generation Fisher Paykel dish drawer. It was as horrible as our current one. There is absolutely no customer service or help from Fisher Paykel. They blame every defective part and problem on the water, or detergent, or operator error etc. Do not ever buy a Fisher Paykel unless you have piles of money and time lying around. I cant believe the money we have wasted over the years on these subpar pieces of trash. I refuse to fix it again. I am throwing it out and getting a Bosch.

Refrigerator model #E522BLX - I bought this fridge 4 years ago from SEARS Canada because my 35 year old never repaired Amana fridge suddenly broke down. I had a problem finding a fridge that would fit in the space built around the Amana and wasnt in a position to renovate the kitchen to accommodate a new fridge. I didnt know anything about the Fisher Paykel brand, and unfortunately, relied on the Sears appliance specialists knowledge and honesty.I was advised that the fridge had a very good 5 year warranty and excellent customer service and Sears would also stand behind the brand should anything go wrong. I bought it because it was the only fridge, at the time, that could fit in the space and I paid about $2,000 for it. Well 2 months ago the fridge started to make a noise that sounded similar to the noise I heard when my Amana fridge broke down. That was related to a compressor problem. The noise has steadily worsened and its driving me up a wall.I found out from Sears Canada that they no longer carry the Fisher Paykel brand (I wonder why) and therefore cant provide me with any service. When I contacted the FP customer service # I was directed to someone in New Zealand and I quickly concluded that their so called excellent customer service was totally false. I further learned that the fridge I bought has been discontinued (I wonder why). The extent of their assistance was to provide me with service repair contacts in the U.S. Anyone I contacted in Toronto is unwilling to service the model. It is now Christmas and I am now out of a fridge and $2000. FP doesnt give a damn. Although they did not outwardly admit it but I think they knew that there was an embedded defect with their fridge and therefore discontinued it without advising customers like me.There should have been a recall notice and offer to replace the model or at least make some effort to repair problems without costing the customer big bucks and aggravation. Do not ever buy anything manufactured by Fisher Paykel. And dont buy any appliance from Sears. Their appliance specialists are not specialists and are trained only to make a sale at the customers risk. They will not ensure that: your satisfaction continues long after your initial purchase. This is the statement that they include in their brochure.

My wife and I bought a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator (Active Smart RF170ADUSX4) in March from Lowes. We have had ice maker problems since we got the refrigerator. We had the ice maker replaced, then we had sensors replaced. To get parts for a F & P refrigerator it takes FOREVER! This is the worst appliance purchase that I have ever made, and dealing with Lowes lemon laws, etc. has been a nightmare. With everything replaced, the ice maker will make approximately 2 trays of ice every 24 hours. This is not enough for anybody. Additionally we have had problems with the temps in the fridge. I would never, ever, ever recommend anybody a) buy an appliance from Lowes and b) buy a Fisher & Paykel appliance. Total JUNK for $2069!!

7/28/14 I have not been able to find any good reviews of this product, so I'm going to do my best to give one to help others as they consider buying this fridge. I know people want to know how a product lasts over time, so I'll do my best to remember to keep updating this review. As of today, the fridge has been up and running for 2 days. It is important to note that our fridge is a B-stock unit (was returned by someone, but never used. They listed the reason as "damaged packaging"). We did not buy through this website. THE BACKSTORY Our previous fridge was a big 36" standard depth white GE side-to-side that someone gave us for free. We knew it was only a temporary solution, and started saving for its replacement for when it would die on us. The rest of our kitchen appliances were stainless, so we were looking forward to the day our big white fridge kicked the bucket so we could have a more uniform look. Yesterday, we got home from a trip and our fridge was making loud and scary noises that wouldn't stop. We saw this as the perfect excuse to make the switch. I had heard of Fisher and Paykel before, and was told they were a good solution for a long-lasting fridge without all the unnecessary bells and whistles (that end up breaking and causing service calls down the road). I also thought this was the most elegant looking out of all of its competitors. I like the simple, flat look of this unit. I headed over to our closest appliance outlet store and found a B-stock unit that was never used (still had the plastic wrap), but had a dent in the back. We saved a thousand dollars on this unit because of a dent nobody would ever see. Score! INSTALLATION I took it home in my van and let it stand for 8 hours before turning it on (guy at store said this was important to do so all the liquids in the compressor could settle into place after transporting it on its back - better safe than sorry). During that time, I installed the included water filter and hoses to the fridge. It comes with everything you need except the piece that actually taps into your water line. Since we already had that from our previous fridge, this was a breeze. No need to call a plumber. The instruction manual was very easy to follow on installation of water components. I am the least handy guy you could know, so trust me when I say this was easy! During the time the fridge sat unplugged, I also wiped down the shelves and bins, took off the plastic wrap, and read the instruction manual. I HIGHLY recommend reading the manual. There are so many features in this fridge that aren't highlighted on the companies website that I never would have known about had I not read the manual. I'll go into more detail in the "Features" Section of this review. After the 8 hours, I plugged the fridge in and let it get to its proper temperature (about 2 hours). I used this time to adjust the front legs (it is supposed to be raised up 1/2" higher in the front than the back for ease of door use). During this time, the exterior sides and back of the unit got HOT! Like, I'm afraid this thing is going to explode, hot. Thankfully after reaching its desired interior temps, the exterior cooled off substantially. Today, it isn't even warm. I made sure to run all the air pockets out of the water line, and discarded the first few batches of ice as instructed. FEATURES First of all, keep in mind that we were previously using a big, standard depth side-by-side before, and have never had a counter-depth fridge, or one with a freezer on the bottom. Having made the transition, it is clear that these fridges are not for everyone. I'll try to explain in more detail as I go. - Counter-Depth: This opened up our kitchen far beyond what we were expecting. I know its only a few inches shallower, but it made a huge difference for us. Our kitchen just got bigger and brighter! Our fridge is no longer the elephant in the room. This fridge looks great, but blends in. It does come with some trade offs. The depth of storage in the fridge is very shallow. For example, I don't see the ability to fit a large pizza box in the fridge or the freezer (untested theory). - Doors: I've been to some peoples houses where their french doors were really hard to either open or close. These open with no problem, and close even easier. The freezer door is a bit harder to open than the fridge doors, but not difficult by any stretch. - Hidden top hinges: I love how the top hinges are covered in the front. It is a small attention to detail which really makes this thing look clean and sharp. It also makes cleaning the top of the fridge so much easier! - Water dispenser: Some people may not like that this doesn't have a door ice dispenser (ice is dispensed in a bin in the freezer). It is perfect for us, I love the shallow water chamber that doesn't cut into storage space on the inside door. It also is easier to clean, and you can fill any size container without worrying if it will fit. For us, the water comes out fast, and fills things up quickly. People who like to set a glass in the water cavity and walk away while it fills up will not like this feature. It is too shallow to set a glass in, you will need to hold it the entire time. Not a problem for us. - Shelving: This model has 3 shelves (2 of which are height adjustable). These shelves go across the full width of the fridge. Some of this units competitors have adjustable shelves that only go halfway for more customization, but in my opinion that is just more breakable pieces, and it cuts into the amount of things you can store. The full-width shelves work perfectly for our needs. Also, many competitors' fridges have white plastic spill proofing around the edges of their shelves. In my opinion, this makes a fridge look cheap and flimsy. The ActiveSmart fridge has beautiful brushed metal spill proofing, it looks so much more elegant and uniform. Sounds like a small thing, but it is one of my favorite features! - Door Storage: Because of the shallow water dispenser, you get full storage on both doors. This increases the storage like no other. There are large compartments with dividers for gallon sized jugs and tall items. At the top of each french door, there is a compartment with a lid for butters or cheeses. Our previous fridge had one of these compartments with a rounded lid, it really limited storage, but these have a squared off lid that allows you to stack items without worrying about closing the lid. My biggest complaint of this fridge is that these lids don't stay open when you lift them. So you need one hand to hold the lid open, and another to grab whatever is inside. It may sound negligible, but i'm usually holding something else when I need something from these compartments. Hopefully I'll get used to it. As of right now, it's really annoying. - Wine/Bottle holders: There really isn't a place in this fridge where you would be able to store a wine bottle standing up other than the doors, so they included 4 horizontal holders that clip to the back of every shelf. These holders also stack upon another so if you don't have 4 bottles to hold, they don't take up a lot of room. Very thoughtful feature. If you insist on storing your wine or tall bottled drinks standing up, you may not like this fridge. - REMOVABLE BINS!: This is my very favorite feature of this fridge. All drawers in the fridge and freezer are actually pull out shelves with clear bins sitting on top. This is so useful for so many reasons. Instead of shuffling through the vegetables or fruits to find what you are looking for with the fridge doors open, you can just pull out the desired bin and take it to the counter, find what you need and easily put it back. The same is true for meats/cheese bins, frozen drawers, and the ice bin. Saves tons of energy. Also, it makes cleaning drawers out a breeze. Just pull it out, rinse the bin in the sink, and dry out. I love this feature! - Crisper drawers: Like most fridges, this has separate drawers for fruits and vegetables with a separate humidity setting for each. Keep in mind, you need to open both french doors to pull out the drawer. Even though there are two separate sections, the full drawer they share takes up the full width of the fridge. People who only want to open one door and pull out fruits or veggies will not like this fridge. - Meats and Cheese Drawers: I like that there are two separate sections for these. We use the left one for lunch meat and cheeses, and the right one for other meats (steak, beef, fish, etc...). It is especially nice to use one of these as a dedicated meat thawing section without worry of any juices finding their way to other items in the fridge. Again, you need to open both french doors to access these compartments. - Lighting: Our previous fridge had a light in the top back center. If we had anything in front of it (which was always), it would darken the rest of the fridge, making it difficult to see other items throughout. This fridge has a strip of LED lighting at the top front of the unit which allow for full illumination of the entire contents of the fridge no matter how you have your food arranged. Very nice touch! There are no lights on the doors, but enough spills from the inside of the fridge that you will be able to make out what you need even in the middle of the night. - Ice machine: Since this is only our 2nd day, all I can say is it works as advertised so far. I know the ice machine is usually the biggest issue people have with any fridge, so I'll keep my eye on it and let you know if anything weird happens over time. The default setup is that in the freezer, there is a top shelf with 2 big bins across the width. In the left big bin, there is a smaller one that takes up half the width of that bin, and that is the ice bin. If you require more ice, you can just remove the smaller bin and let the ice dispense into the bigger bin. With either bin, it is supposed to stop producing ice when it is full. If you need even more ice, you can fill up the big bin on the left, switch it with the right bin, and fill up that one too. Lots of versatility, and the removable bins are great if you are entertaining! - Freezer: The freezer has a top shelf that pulls out with the ice bin, plus a bin and a half of storage for other things. Then there is a large cavity below for the storage of everything else. If you are a person who usually packs out your freezer of your current fridge, I don't think you will enjoy a counter-depth freezer-on-the bottom model. This is definitely more for the person who has a larger ratio of fresh food to frozen food. I can easily see people needing to dig around the lower cavity if they over fill it. For our family, we don't need much freezer space, so it works perfect for us so far. - Noise: As of right now, there is a constant hum that is about the volume of somebody whispering softly. It is audible, but not something you can hear unless you are in the kitchen. I'm not sure if this will always hum, or if it is just because we haven't filled up our ice bin to the top yet, and the ice machine is constantly working. I'll update the review when we find out. - ActiveSmart Tech: I don't really know what it is, other than it's supposed to do a good job of keeping your food cold. Mission accomplished so far. - Other features: Sabbath mode, open door alarm (90 seconds for fridge, 60 seconds for freezer), ability to turn off open door alarm (for cleaning), water dispenser lock (for cleaning or curious kids), ice bin on/off, fast ice, temperature controls, bottle chill function (allows you to chill a beverage quickly in freezer, and will sound alarm when it is done), fast freeze (for quick freezing of fresh food), water filter replacement indicator, lock fridge controls (for cleaning) and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Fridge controls are located inside the fridge. WHO WOULD LOVE THIS FRIDGE People who: - Have more fresh food than frozen food - Don't need to store extra deep items (large pizza box, for example)* SEE UPDATES - Appreciate removable storage bins - Like sleek, simple, modern design - Want to maximize the storage of the inside of their fridge - Like good lighting - Want to be able to fill pitchers and other large containers from the door water dispenser - Want easy opening and closing doors - Want to be able to view everything in their fridge at a glance without needing to move things out of the way. I have owned a F&P double dishwasher for 7 years. Approximately 6 months ago, the machine began to leak on the top level and the dishes were not clean on the bottom. I looked on the F&P website and found the information for several nearby repairmen. I contacted the first person and he came to check the machine. He charged $80 to look at it & stated that he needed to order a part. We called him several times in the next few weeks, but he said the part was not in. After a few more calls, we gave up and called a 2nd repair from the list. Unfortunately, we had the same experience (and paying $143) - after calling 3 or 4 times, the repairman never returned our call.I called F&P customer service and explained what happened. The customer service person gave us another repair shop to call and stated that F&P would likely reimburse us for the house call fees, which was now over $200 with no repairs done. The new company that we called stated that they only fix machines that they have sold & that F&P should NOT have given out their information. I called back and got yet another name, which, thankfully turned out to be legitimate. Our machine was finally fixed (at a cost of $372). My dissatisfaction is with the referring of several repair companies who clearly could not fix our machine, and paying money for no service. When I contacted F&P about the events above, I was told that they would NOT reimburse me the house call money. I assure you that I would not purchase another of their products!

After numerous phone calls hours on the line and a month I still havent got my fridge fixed by Fisher & Paykel. The customer service is abysmal. Rude customer service officers. There is no complaints department and escalating your issue to a supervisor goes nowhere with no phone call ever answered. Do not buy products from Fisher & Paykel especially Haier fridges. I even had a customer service representative call me dude on the phone and told me to calm down. Avoid at all cost.

I had an old dryer before and thought I would upgrade. I purchased this dryer and my light bill went from $80 a month to $145 a month. I pulled the fuse to the dryer and my meter slowed down like a turtle. When the dryer is running, my meter looks like it is in a race. I cant believe how much power it uses. Now it sits there and I dry my clothes at a laundromat.

My Fisher & Paykel refrigerator is much better than the other brands that weve had in the past. The only thing they should have pointed out at the time of purchase was that the ice maker is extremely slow. But I’d recommend it to somebody even with the slow ice maker in it.

When I went in to the store and was looking at different appliances, I liked the Fisher & Paykel. I liked pretty much the whole look of it. So I bought it and read up on it. I made my purchase based off of the reviews that I read about the product. This was my first purchase with them. I got the side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator as I had recently purchased my first home. Compared with other ref models, it was more spacious. It was pretty much what I wanted for the dispensers on the front, and all of that. The price was better so I went with that one.

My Fisher Paykel product experience has been terrible and I would not recommend their fridges. I purchased an integrated fridge from this luxury appliance store and am currently now on my 4th fridge because of defects with the previous 3. The last 2 fridges had issues with their fans. Fixing the fan onsite however did not resolve the problem with the 3rd fridge. This has been a huge headache, with some items on the lower shelves freezing and others on the top shelf spoiling. Installing each fridge is also a whole day effort since it is integrated into the cabinetry. I am now waiting to get a 4th fridge but given my experience, I have no faith in the quality of this so called luxury product. I asked for a discount given this extraordinary (some might characterize as ridiculous) experience but of course was denied. I was only offered a one year extension of warranty on a product that I am doubtful of.

So frustrated with my fridge not working for over a month with multiple calls from the refrigerator repair people. I phoned Fisher Paykel customer service and they have been more than helpful in trying to assist me although the fridge is past warranty. I thank them for their kindness and empathy.

A friend who had a refrigerator recommended Fisher & Paykel to me. My first purchase was a refrigerator. The second one, the most recent, was a dishwasher. I was so pleased with my refrigerator that’s why I chose the same Fisher & Paykel for a dishwasher. However, with the dishwasher, I’m not real happy with it. It was leaving a lot of spots on the glasses. I’ve tried changing the rinse agent that I put in and changing dishwasher detergent, which did improve it somewhat. But I’m finding it is not getting the dishes and cups and things as clean as other dishwashers I’ve had. I was still trying to experiment with different detergents and whatnot. And if I’m still unhappy, then I would definitely give them a call. Nonetheless, I think Fisher & Paykel is a good company and they stand behind their product.

I’m pissed off because the dryer was about four years old and I had to have it worked on about three times and ended up throwing it away. On the top load, the plastic parts just broke and the door wouldn’t come up and jammed. It got brittle and broke out. I spent about $900 for this dryer. Right at four years and it just fell apart. The bearings went out about two times. And one of the switches went out. And the door got misaligned. The parts must have been breaking then and so it caught and bent the door. I loved that dryer but I had to get a front load. The top load was more convenient for me. I am not satisfied because of the parts. They need to change the parts. The hard plastic parts dry out and become brittle when it gets heated enough and the bearings they use on there should be linear bearings as they are much smoother rolling and quieter bearings. I could have gone and got another type of dryer than go back to Fisher & Paykel, but I went back to Fisher & Paykel because that’s what I believe in and I got the service out of it, but, if I have another disappointment, they won’t get anything else from me again

I bought my Fisher-Paykel dishwasher in 1/09. It worked fine for a few months, but started beeping and would stop running. I contacted Fisher-Paykel and they recommended I use the dishwasher cleaner, which I did. It ran fine for a while but again started beeping. This time I contacted Jeffers-McGill in Columbia, where I bought the dishwasher. They were very unconcerned and gave me the name of a repair company. I have had 2 technicians come, neither seemed to know how to fix it, and after paying $132, I still dont have a dishwasher that is running correctly. One of the technicians indicated it had been installed wrong. I have now spent over $200 for a $1,000 machine, and still dont have a dishwasher I can depend on. In fact, the 1st dishwasher I bought from Jeffers-McGill started giving me problems after only 2 years, at which time I bought the Fisher-Paykel. I will never buy another appliance from Jeffers-McGill, nor will my family, former good customers of theirs. What do I do now? I am very upset about spending so much money on an elite appliance that is not living up to its reputation.

We have a Fisher Paykel DW 60chpx1 dishwasher that broke down on February 10th. It took two weeks to come out. Then they didnt have the right part. Two weeks later they came out again and said it was unfixable. We were promised a replacement that would arrive March 23rd. Never came. Promised 11th April. Never came. Promised 28th April. Who knows. We are without a dishwasher now since February 10th. Just getting promises and lies. This is just not good enough.
