My range was purchased 10 years ago. I had no major issues. But spills penetrate through the seal of the door. There is no access to clean it off. My husband figured out how to undo the hinges and split it open. Even then it doesnt get clean and looks dirty all the time. Also while using recipes the Temperature and time never match. Need to raise it and cook longer than stated. Constantly adjusting.

We purchased a home with Frigidaire Professional Series made by Electrolux.
We purchased a home with Frigidaire Professional Series made by Electrolux. I called Frigidaire to register my products, gave them all the model and serial numbers on a dishwasher, micro/oven, dishwasher, fridge and cooktop in the first day of taking possession. The microwave stopped working 3 weeks after taking possession. Called Frigidaire and was advised we had no warranty. This was a repeated request by me and was told the same thing, no warranty. In the meantime our dishwasher of 4 months leaked out onto the hardwood floor, causing damage. I again called Frigidaire and conveyed my observations on performance and poor quality... Stating the microwave hasnt worked since week 3 of taking possession. The oven spikes in heat or doesnt cook in the allowed time in other ovens and that the dishwasher only worked on one setting and leaked 4 months within use. It leaked on a Saturday and Frigidaire does not provide after hours service. On Feb. 2/2015 I called and asked them to reimburse us for the new dishwasher and the cost of repairing our floor. To which they said No. Finally we were asked for our purchase contact on our home and the receipt for the new dishwasher (we did not purchase their product). We were then asked to produce the purchase agreement, a copy of the service call for the dishwasher and the receipt for the newly purchased dishwasher. Customer service then back dated our warranty to April 11/14. They then, wanted the virtual information that was stuck on the dishwasher. Since we had no warranty as we had it recycled, never to be used for another to suffer damages as we did. Because we could not produce the sticker, we offered the warranty card with all the information and the user manual with the same on it. This was not acceptable to them. We forwarded the service report which clearly states the reasons that this serviceman could not and would not in good conscience repair it as it was poor quality could not guarantee it would not leak again. He told us it would cost us more to try to repair it than it actually cost and we should get a new one. We have not been reimbursed the cost of every appliance, which is all of the Frigidaire Professional Series. When I say all, I mean everything in our kitchen has broken down. Since our dealings with this company and their poor quality products, we have been forced to replace it all. Customer service agents are not diligent in executing customer expectations, nor do they respect you enough to make notations such, as your name and address and simple tasks like registrations. The service company they have hired to do the repair to the micro/oven ordered the wrong part and it has now been almost 3 months and we are still waiting. Have any of you ever figured out how much you pay for your appliances when it gets lumped in with your mortgage? I would never recommend this companies products, nor will I buy them and should I purchase another home, Frigidaire/Electrolux are a deal breaker!

I bought a refrigerator, microwave, stove and a dishwasher in July 2014 from ABC Warehouse in Dearborn Michigan, and both the refrigerator esp. the icemaker broke within 30 days of the purchase. Of course the warranty fix them but ever since the icemaker broke 3 other times and now the items is out of warranty. Today both the microwave and ice maker doesnt work. Frigidaire gallery products is a piece of junk. Never in my life I have own so many lemons that went sour so soon. Lemons suppose to sour but these products are rotten. Im so mad its costing more money for the warranty versus the cost to fix them because the products keep breaking down after the repairs. Close the company. Sad sad sad.

These appliances are only 15 months old and Ive had numerous problems with them and Id like to warn others about them and encourage them not to buy them. After being married for 49 years we had all new matching appliances and I was thrilled! But these appliances have been nothing but problems... Before the warranty was up, I had to have 4 or 5 service calls on the refrigerator. The first time I tried to clean my self-cleaning oven, the glass in the door shattered and I was left without an oven for about 2 weeks before they got it fixed, and was told by the service man that it really isnt good to use the self clean feature because it could damage parts in the stove. Now about a month ago my dishwasher just stopped working! Now Frigidaire did agree to cover the cost of the repair since it was only 14 months old, but only because I really put up a fight, but now a month later Im still without a working dishwasher! Service man came out yesterday and it seemed to work because I cleaned it because it had been sitting for 2 weeks and I wanted it clean before I washed dishes. After dinner last night I loaded it up and started it and about 3 hours later, my husband and I were in the living room watching tv, and it started making noises. I checked to see if the dishes were clean and they werent so I called service again and now its going to be another 5 to 7 business days before they can even get the part! Im just thoroughly disgusted and I want to warn others about it..

I purchased the microwave in November 2017. The door was opening with a bit of difficulty but I thought it was normal. Later on, I had to try 3-4 times to open it once. On Feb. 12th I called and they send a repair service company. The repair man wrote down 2 possible reasons: the door per se was damaged or it looked like the bottom door bracket was bent. He said that hell order a new door. If the issue will continue after that, Frigidaire will have to replace the microwave since the bracket cant be replaced.I waited 6 weeks for the door for it was on the backorder. Finally, the repair company received the door but it was broken... I waited another week, until they got another one (from the batch that was now in the Frigidaires stock). He installed the door but the issue persisted. So he said hed call them the next day and ask for the microwave to be replaced. He (and unfortunately I) did not think to try the microwave after installing the door. After he left I called his company because the microwave did not run at all, even with a hard-to-open door. He arrived after a few days and found something else was wrong (besides the door), namely a door switch. He ordered it from Frigidaire and left. After another week he arrived with the switch and installed it. But the microwave still would not work. He decided it was the thermostat. (THIS IS NOT A JOKE) and ordered it. Meanwhile we got to June and I went on vacation. He got the thermostat and came over to install it on August 1st. But the microwave would not work at all. (STILL, NO JOKE). He went to his car to look for some loose pieces. He was hesitant to call the company to order something else (and WHAT? because he had no idea what it was.) I advised him to call a colleague and ask for his/her opinion. Eventually he left saying that he will call Frigidaire the next day. Two days later he arrived with a piece that he said he had gotten from another colleague, familiar with Frigidaire products. He installed it and the microwave started running, still with the initial bottom door bracket bent and the door closing and opening with difficulty. I reminded him that he would have to call Frigidaire and say that the initial issue couldnt be fixed. BUT... SURPRISE: he said that I should be happy that the microwave works now. He said that Frigidaire never replaces appliances and it is practically a lost cause. It was clear to me that he was not at ease, since the whole story would prove that he wasnt a stellar repair man either.I couldnt believe my ears. So I understand that I have two incompetent parties here: one supplying bad products, the other supplying bad service. And I am in between, unhappy and angry as hell. I called the Dial Appliance myself and asked the manager to call since the repair man, Ishmail wont do it. The manager, Eugene, mocked me for even thinking of a replacement. Why dont you try it yourself? And good luck with it, he said. I called Frigidaire and there is not live person answering at all. They have a message, the same message that I heard several times along 2-3 months: In an effort to better serve poi, our agents are currently participating in a company collaboration & training session. We apologize for this inconvenience. One might say that after so much training theyd get better at what they are doing...

In 2010 I remodeled my kitchen and thought I was purchasing a great product from a company located close to my home. The professional series complete kitchen. Within 4 months the refrigerator quit (under warranty). I called and service tech was sent. The diagnosis code was CY SE or communication error. They replaced the unit after 1 and 1/2 months without a fridge. The new unit lasted just 13 months and same error code (now out of warranty). Repair with new computer and display board, cost $379. Less than 1 year and same issue and repair, cost $405. Now again same issue. Service Tech ordered new boards installed. No power. Ordered next set no display but it had power again. Bad board. Service Tech called Frigidaire service tech and was told 9 out of 10 of the boards we have at distribution points are no good. Now I have been out of a working refrigerator for 1 month. May not be able to get another computer board for at least week since there are none in close supply. If it is able to be repaired it will be another $400. Customer service rep told me today there is nothing she could do since it is out of warranty(Mfg date: 08/10). She also said Dont you realize things break? Cost for 3 years including purchase, install, cost of repairs so far $3308.

Brand new washer/dryer combo - The washer died in three days. I called in and they referred me to an authorized servicer. I waited four days for him then needed a part. Still waiting on day 17. I now called Frigidaire and said, Please just take back the machine. They said no. My retailer was ready to do a swap, but Frigidaire wont authorize it. My retailer should have stepped up and helped me out, but they are lame too. No one cares that I spent good money and got the shaft. I said, How could you allow it to drag on this long? They said, It is our policy. I said, Screw your policy. I will never buy this product again. So as soon as they are fixed, hey goon Craigslist and I am getting a different brand. Dont buy Frigidaire. Its all junk.

Run, dont walk away from this deplorable company. I replaced ALL my kitchen appliances October 2016 with the Frigidaire Gallery series through Home Depot. Ive had 5 service calls on the refrigerator. The last serviceman advised me, Thats just the way it was made, theres nothing I can do. My most recent complaint was the handle on the dishwasher is rusting! After 22 minutes on hold I was told by the customer service rep that, If you look on page 22 on your owner’s manual, you will see that rust inside and outside the unit is not covered. After speaking with a manager, as a goodwill gesture she mailed me a new handle. Really. Goodwill? Why dont you manufacture decent products and goodwill would be implied. Consider yourselves forewarned. Dont be foolish. Dont spend your money on Frigidaire appliances.

This may come as a surprise to many people, but Frigidaire is NOT part of General Motors. In 1979, General Motors sold the Frigidaire line to White Consolidated Industries (WCI). Less than a decade later, in 1986, the Swedish company Electrolux purchased WCI. Today, ELECTROLUX REMAINS THE OWNER OF the FRIGIDAIRE group. So while Electrolux might have been good at making vacuum cleaners, they apparently have problems with larger appliances. I noticed an another post that somebody mentioned American made in reference to his refrigerator. I am not sure if this applies to everything with the Electrolux/Frigidaire label, but mine is clearly labeled Made in Mexico.

I am very upset that I did not do my homework before I purchased my new kit
I am very upset that I did not do my homework before I purchased my new kitchen. In 2007, we had a fire in our home and had to have all of our appliances replaced. I did not have a lot of time to do online research because we were busy working at our home trying to get moved back in, so now I am paying the price. The range keeps blowing the electronic board and thermosensor from overheating (which wouldnt you expect a range top to get hot), even though I had the recall done, which was supposed to correct the issue. I am very upset about Frigidaire not recalling their faulty products, as I am sure they know that they have a design issue in these ranges.I just hope that consumers research complaints about Frigidaire because they will see how poorly made their appliances are. As everyone else has said, SHAME ON YOU FRIGIDAIRE. It is sad to see expensive appliance products made in the USA that are of such low quality that you have to replace them in just a few years. Consumers be wary of anything that Frigidaire makes.

I purchased the Frigidaire stand up freezer/fridge combo when I built my house. The matching set cost me $5,000 for it. Within the first year of purchase the fridge went out and Frigidaire sent out a technician to repair. Unit should have been replaced while under warranty but they did not want to hear it. Skip forward to some time later, I paid for the extended warranty for the fridge and the icebox but was refunded my money just on the fridge because it was broken under warranty and they would not cover up as I was told but unfortunately for me the rep in customer service didnt seem to put that in the computer and only put refunded due to being broken when it wasnt. Now my unit is out and I questioned them about it. They send me with the runaround. All my appliances in my home are Frigidaire. I will be replacing everything in my house to get the name Frigidaire out of it. I am out now $500 dollars as I paid for a repair service to come look at it and replace items that were replaced before because they broke the first time and Frigidaire doesnt seem to care. Well they will care. I can promise this!!! Sincerely, a pissed off customer.

Directly from their site to entice you to buy this warranty are these statements: Enjoy the peace of mind that only Frigidaire can guarantee. No one knows your product better than we do. And no other company is better equipped to provide the specialized parts and service you may need or to replace your product entirely! So invest now in the best possible protection with a Service Contract. And we guarantee to stand behind you and your product for as long as you own your coverage. There was no peace of mind when day after day we didnt know when wed finally have a washer. On the 5th call on 5-15-17 we were told our parts were ordered and again told to contact SoCal Tech. They said they ordered from Marcone and finally gave a tracking number. The replace your product entirely would have been a better option and was part of what was enticing about the warranty, definitely not fulfilled.Up to three full years of freedom from costly repair bills. Whether you choose a one, two, or three year Service Contract, well pay for all covered repairs needed to keep your product in peak operating condition. And that means no surprises to your budget. HUGE surprise to our budget of money and time to have to go to a laundromat which was 14.5 miles away and cost $60 for 20 loads a week for 9 people just to maintain laundry, not even basic bedding and such. A month of no product in peak operating condition.A brand new product, if needed. Its true. Our replacement coverage entitles you to a brand new major appliance with comparable features if yours cant be fixed, or if it simply makes more sense to replace it. Over a month and $1200 to fix a washer we bought for $600 in 2009 would warrant that it simply makes more sense to replace it instead of inconvenience the customer for so long.Convenient, in-home service with a toll-free call, Reliable service is only a phone call away when you own a Frigidaire Service Contract. And the call is always toll-free. True you can call from anywhere but expect to wait and be told to call somewhere else that may not be an actual number like we were given to SoCal Tech. On our 6th call to Frigidaire we talked with Supervisor Tiffany at ** and she apologized and could not do anything or give us any actual contact info for anyone who actually had the power to make this right. She gave us the mailing address for Alan ** who she said was the corporate executive. We have written him a letter.Top-quality repairs by Frigidaire factory-trained experts. You wouldnt want just anyone to service your valuable Frigidaire product. Thats why we use trustworthy professionals who have been trained extensively on Frigidaire models just like yours. True, the quality of the final repair is good, but dont expect answers from the service company SoCal Tech or Frigidaire in the month it takes to get there. Quick access to the correct replacement parts. Forget about inferior parts being used on your product or long, unnecessary waiting for a special component. We maintain an ample supply of quality components designed specifically for your Frigidaire model to ensure we can have it running like new again in no time.Frigidaires idea of no time is definitely different than ours for a family of 9 after a very long, unnecessary waiting of 30 days. Not quick access at all. Our Money-Back Guarantee. If you are ever dissatisfied with the quality of protection you receive, you may have a complete refund of the unused portion of your Service Contract, less claims paid no questions asked. Of course there is nothing left to refund after such a costly repair. Our goal is to keep you a satisfied customer for life. So well do everything we can to make certain you are thrilled with your product and our services. Call 1-866-386-5286 today to take advantage of this exceptional offer. If you are not satisfied dont expect anyone you can personally talk with to have the power to make it right as evidenced by our 7 documented phone calls and finally a Supervisor who only had the power to give us a mailing address and a name.

Frigidaire Refrigerator Prof SXS - Never Again. Worst purchase ever made! This was a lemon from the get go but Frigidaire does not replace - they just continue to put on bandages. Every year since I have owned this piece of junk I have had to have it serviced at least once a year. I have paid over $600 for extended warranties thinking that eventually everything would be fixed. Boy was I wrong. Now it is leaking water (not from ice or water dispenser) but randomly down the right side of the unit even with the water spigot to the frig turned off. Two service calls later they still dont know whats wrong and in the mean time I have warped hardware floors (2nd time this frig has leaked) and no resolution. The only thing this refrigerator is good is displaying magnets. Once this years warranty runs out, this frig it out of here... and no more Frigidaire/Electrolux for me!

We bought a dishwasher and refrigerator 6 months ago at Lowes. Neither has worked well since we bought them. The dishwasher is on its second repair and I have waited for 2 weeks to get it repaired AGAIN. The refrigerator freezes the food and even when we turn it down it still did it. The ice maker sucks! The ice gets stuck and then we have to clean it out and ice goes everywhere. This happens every couple days. So frustrating!! Neither Lowes or Frigidaire will take them back. DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE!!! Very cheaply built and now Im stuck with these appliances that I dont want. I should have gone with Costco from the very beginning. Their customer service is always excellent. Its unfortunate that we did not read reviews before buying.

We purchased our stove on 7/29/21 and it was delivered and installed by 8/12/21. Used twice and the control panel shut off when I was using the air fryer! So far two service calls have been made and the stove is still not fixed. First service call was on 9/13. Technician didnt have parts and they needed to be ordered. Second time he came on 10/4, replaced the parts and it still didnt work. He suggested we talk to the electrician that did the wiring. Our electrician came out today and everything was good with the electric to the stove. SOOOO, I had to call Frigidaire again to schedule another service call. Its absolutely impossible to get through to customer service and when I did, I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up on me! So I called back and waited on hold again only to be told that the stove will not be replaced until deemed unrepairable! Again, I asked to speak with management and told, I would get a call back in 1-2 days. My next appointment to have the technician come to the house is 10/14!!! Its 10/5/21 and I still have no resolution for my $1800 oven! We basically got a lemon and Frigidaire isnt willing to step up and honor their commitment to good service.

My husband and I just bought our first home. We went to home depot and purchased a washer, dryer, and stove. We made our purchase the Saturday before thanksgiving. Unfortunately, our first delivery date was delayed and a week and a half later I received my washer and dryer but the stove was damaged :( they gave us a new delivery date of Dec 16th for our new Frigidaire stove. They came yesterday and installed it, I was so happy to finally have my stove. Well anyway, today I woke up and put my oven on. The troubleshooting directions said you should turn oven on 400 for 30 min to help alleviate any smell and to break the oven in. So I did just that. The morning went on, I took my daughter for a walk and came home and put her for a nap. The next thing I knew my carbon monoxide detector was going off!!! I opened doors and windows, grabbed my daughter and out of the house we went. I called the fire department. They found out it was the oven, not the range. They said, You need to call where you got this and have them come and get it, the stove is faulty. See this machine, and it started to go up and up when he turned on the stove. When I called to have this deathtrap removed from my home and replaced they told me Dec 23rd. Needless to say, I went to a different stove to purchase a stove and also a different brand. I could have died, my daughter could have died. Frigidaire didnt care, didnt help. Im so glad and thankful nothing bad happened but I will tell you, after this experience I will never buy a Frigidaire. I have many years left to make purchases and Im a hairdresser so many people will hear this story. 1 positive experience reaches 1 person whereas a negative experience reaches 10. I sure hope thats enough for them to see the error of their ways.

This oven trips the dedicated circuit breaker each time a user opens the door during the cook cycle. Luckily, I have an extended service warranty. I have had a switch replaced 3 times now to get the oven going again. Frigidaire just told me they would not replace the unit because it has not been deemed non-repairable. I guess they would rather pay a $200 service call each time the switch needs replaced than replace a $270 item. Stoopid and poor customer service to boot from Frigidaire/Electrolux. Horrible! I will never buy another Frigidaire Product again. I have a 27 microwave oven in wall unit. I purchased the unit in June of 2009. In September 2011, the unit went out completely. Both the microwave and the oven went out. After arguing with Frigidaire for a while, I was finally able to have them cover parts to repair the unit. I had A&E Service repair the unit. They came out a total of 6 times. The first time, the person assessed the problems and had no parts on his truck, so he could not repair the unit. After Frigidaire spent over $800 in parts to repair the unit and 6 visits from A&E, the unit was finally repaired 6 weeks later. Mind you, I was not able to use my microwave or oven for 6 weeks. I have a problem with a company manufacturing a product that breaks after 2 years of use. There was a time when appliances lasted 20+ years. I understand companies wanting to make more money, but to manufacture a product that breaks after 2 years is ridiculous. Let alone the fact that they want you to purchase the extended warranty for repair, but that still costs them money for parts, supplies, gas and the customers time in having to be available for the 4-hour window for them to come out.

I made a purchase for an Affinity washing machine from Best Buy in Columbus
I made a purchase for an Affinity washing machine from Best Buy in Columbus Georgia on 1/29/2010. September of last year, after only 9 months of use of my washer, it broke, and had to be repaired. I was told at that time, that the piece required to fix my washer was very costly, and that my washer would have to be taken apart and reassembled. That part that needed to be replaced, I believe was something called, a drain pump. Because my washer broke within a year of purchase, it was, at this time, covered by warranty. October 14th of this year, 2011, my washer began to have the same problem it did the year prior. I called you all, and was told that the piece required to fix this problem, yet again, was very costly but that you all would cover the cost of the piece, and not the service fee, and repair fee, because I was no longer under warranty. This meant that I would be responsible for paying up to $270 to repairing it and $70 charge just to come out and assess the problem. Unfortunately, having a family of five that includes a service member and infant, I could not afford to pay over half the cost of what I paid for my washer, simply to have someone come out and fix the same issue, that I had a year earlier, less than 9 months after the date of purchase. I had to make a decision to either spend nearly $300, and risk having the same issue again, or purchase a new washer that I could rely on. I went with option number two, and spent money that we didnt have on a new more reliable washer. I am a very displeased customer, and have been greatly inconvenienced. I hope that you all can provide me with some type of solution so that I may continue to be a loyal Frigidaire customer. The only response i received was, we apologize that you had that issue with your appliance. Unfortunately, the parts concession to assist with the parts to repair the appliance, was the only way we could have assisted you with your appliance. We are unable to assist you any further.

5/17/17 Installed window AC (heavy 18,000 btu). Strange sound and smell upon plugging it in. Repair tech said Power Supply Board / Relay Switch not functioning. Frigidaire (Electrolux) wanted to repair the New unit. After arguing it was replaced by retailer not Frigidaire. 6/16/17 Stopped working, retailer would not replace it, Frigidaire sent repair tech a week later, same problem as first unit. Part ordered, repair tech installed, didnt start, etc. 8/1/17 Today 1.5 months of calls speaking Supervisors they are still stating they will find a repair company to fix the unit. Summer will be over before it’s fixed. I have emailed, Chatted, pleaded and cried. Even offered to accept a buyout of the unit (cost $600) at 50% less since I have had to purchase a replacement. Never will buy Frigidaire again! If a negative star was possible that is what I would give them. Will only shop at P.C. Richard, which has amazing customer service and repairs.

My children were asleep and my husband and I were getting ready to get to sleep ourselves. He decided to go downstairs and get some water. He came back up and told me he smelled smoke. We both went downstairs and tried to find where the smell was coming from. Our kitchen filled with smoke, we decided to wake up the kids to get them out of the house. He pulled out the refrigerator when he discovered thats where the smell and smoke coming from. Shortly after that, the bottom of the fridge burst into flames. We used a fire extinguisher and luckily got the fire out. We contacted Frigidaire and their response was that there wasnt much they could do since the fridge was 10 months outside of the 1 year warranty. Even after we had one of their techs come out AND verify the part that burned/melted, they continued to say it was outside the 1 year warranty. They offered to replace the part that burned if we signed something saying they were not liable for anything.

Brand new Frigidaire electric oven died after we used self cleaning feature
Brand new Frigidaire electric oven died after we used self cleaning feature for the first time. Had repairman replace the computer board at our expense. Several years later used the self cleaning feature again and the oven died again. So far we have used the self cleaning twice and the oven has died each time. Frigidaire should stop making this junk or replace the Self Cleaning button with Self Destruct button, so customers are aware.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANYS BRANDS! I have a Frigidaire french door refrigerator that I bought new four years ago. I did not purchase the extended warranty and during the first year, I had at least two service calls for the unit not cooling. After the warranty period, the freezer would frost over and actually had ice build up inside the drawer that required I do a manual defrost.I came home from a trip and the temp in the refrigerator was at 67 degrees but the freezer was still working. The appliance repair tech that came to evaluate the unit said that both computers on the unit were not functioning and the repair was going to be ~ $500. He ordered the computers and when he came back, he pulled out the unit to check the freon and the back of the refrigerator was rusted. Its a known issue with Frigidaire and he called them to explain the issue so I filed a ticket to see what they would do for me. The options were that they would possibly replace it or pay a reasonable amount to me based on depreciation. I was told by the rep at the call center that the refrigerator was under a do not repair order so it should be repaired. After 10 days of waiting for the company to evaluate the unit, their final offer was a 25% rebate on another model. Ive been out several hundred dollars and am going to be out another $500 for computers on a unit that they know is defective or $1300 to replace the refrigerator. Im just going to bite the bullet and repair the thing vs. buying another piece of crap Frigidaire and be out approximately $1300 with the rebate that they offered. Really not good customer service that you admit the unit is defective and issue a do not repair order but dont back up your appliances. The builder put Frigidaire in my home, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher but I guarantee you that as they fail, it wont be Frigidaire or any GE brand that will replace them. SHAME on YOU.

Purchased a home in 2011. New appliances were in the home with the packaging still on - so they were never used. Turned on the oven on Monday to preheat. Came back to check on it. Fire started in oven due to broken heating coil. Have contacted Customer Service and have been informed that there is nothing that they can do for me since I do not have the receipts. It is not like they were left for me. Would think that they would be helpful since this could have burned down my home. Have been asking to speak to a Manager in charge but keep getting the run around. Will be emailing and calling every day until this is cleared up on their expense or I am going to the media and the Better Business Bureau. It is bad to see that there are others that have experienced issues that they do not stand behind their product or take any blame.

I am renting my house, and my tenant called me to tell me that my 2 year old Frigidaire stopped working? I am living in Bangkok, Thailand, working with illegal adoptions, and former retired Police Officer from New Jersey, and am not a Private Investigator. My tenant called Sears, and they came out and looked at it, and stated it has a fan problem that has expanded on something and cannot be fixed. I bought all Frigidaire appliances to go with my new kitchen, dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave, wine cooler, which does not work anymore either. I have no other recourse but to buy a new one. Frigidaire Gallery Series purchased in October 2013 are bad. Purchased Dishwasher, Microwave and slide in Oven cost approximately $4300. Today, March 28th, not three months since installed, My Microwave has been pulled off the wall as it has per the service Person a bad magnetron and there are probably more issues. My dishwasher has a bad sprayer arm which doesnt drain before cycle complete causing all the lower clean dry dishes to be soaked all over again. This issue had two service calls and an order for a replacement sprayer arm but still the same issue. As per the service folks, the engineering team has been advised they are looking to correct the issue. The oven grates have rubber tips that melt and now there is constant vibration. A kit is available but it doesnt address the issue. I am now out a microwave. Have to be real careful whenever I am emptying the dishwasher and the stove grates vibrate whenever I turn on the oven. Looking for productive comments. No trash talk. I can do that myself. Yes, I have contacted the Frigidaire website with my warranty issues.

I purchased a Frigidaire french door refrigerator in July 2013 from Sears. In December 2013 it was fixed. In March of 2014 and now wont work yet again in July 2015. My response from Sears and Frigidaire is to spend 335$ for an extended warranty on a refrigerator that I have already spent $1700 on and many hours to Sears customer service or lack thereof. Now I have to toss this out like a toaster. Here is a tip, dont buy from Sears and do not purchase any Frigidaire appliances!!

We have purchased two Frigidaire Professional ranges, and neither will work
We have purchased two Frigidaire Professional ranges, and neither will work. The part number is FPEF3081KF. Frigidaire is saying that the problem is the electrical service in this part of the US (Kansas), however, we arent having any problems with the Frigidaire Gallery, GE, Samsung, or Whirlpool appliances in this same small development. Supposedly Frigidaire is replacing one range (with what knows what), and says the other doesnt qualify because its not a manufacturing defect.I cant follow the logic there, since neither one will work. I guess Kansas must be the equivalent of a third world country and we just shouldnt expect to be able to buy appliances and actually have them work. Another Frigidaire representative says that replacement power supplies are being engineered, and they should be available in a few weeks. In the meantime, two military families are living without being able to cook. If you want logical and caring customer service, dont buy a Frigidaire. Frigidaire thinks its okay for people to wait weeks for repairs.

Bought Frigidaire microwave 6 months ago. Quit working and after 4 service
Bought Frigidaire microwave 6 months ago. Quit working and after 4 service calls, runaround from Frigidaire customer service, many lost hours of frustration (too many to count) Im at my wits end. Last service guy told me Frigidaire will NEVER replace an appliance. Said theyll just keep trying solutions, ordering more parts, etc. After 2 months Im done! I bought the microwave from Wayfair so as a last resort called them. After a couple of minutes on the phone they gave me a FULL REFUND without having to return it! Really? I also found this hoping it will help somebody:Here’s what worked: 1) Be nice. Every person I spoke with at Electrolux tried to help. 2) Take notes. Log every problem, every conversation with support staff including who you spoke with and their company ID, if they have one. 3) Know what you want to accomplish. The company would have been happy to continue repairing the fridge until it was out of warranty. I made it clear that the warranty would not expire until I had one year of trouble-free operation. 4) Put a limit on what you will accept from the company. When I got to my limit (and you must be reasonable about your limit) I required the company take action.5) Talk to a person who can say yes. When the service person says “no”, ask to speak with a supervisor. The language that finally worked for me with a third level supervisor was: “Can you authorize this (replacement or refund) or should I speak with your legal department?” 6). Be prepared to follow through. I did not ASK for a replacement or refund, I told Electrolux that I would accept nothing less, I filed a complaint with my state’s Department of Consumer Affairs and I let them know I was willing to file suit to replace a defective design. At that exact point, after receiving their copy of my filing, Electrolux refunded the full purchase price of the refrigerator and refused to pick up the old one. Never, never buy Frigidaire again!!!

2 years ago I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and paid 850.00. I understood it was inexpensive but it was a small apartment sized refrigerator and had no bells, no whistles and so one would assume that the price was right for what you were getting, WRONG. This fridge may as well be a polished **. Just 1 month out of warranty the control board failed, so the freezer and the fridge compartments were warm and the control board just flashed. I paid to replace the control board with a new OEM from the manufacturer board, and this part cost me 200.00 But now just yesterday 7 months later the control board stopped working again and did exactly what the original one did. We are 5 days to Christmas and me without and once again without our Frigidaire fridge. 1,050.00 invested now in a small fridge and its just a stainless steel polish on a **.

My wife purchased the extended warranty service from Frigidaire in case our Frigidaire washing machine or dryer went out. After our washer stopped working due to some type of drum problem. Frigidaire sent a technician (American TV and electronics), who did not open the washer but tried to inspect the problem by trying to spin the drum. According to the technician there was something stuck in the drum and they required authorization from Frigidaire to continue with repairs. Frigidaire refused to authorize repair and called it customer neglect. Well, I opened the washing machine myself and opened the washer tub assembly, only difficulty was the weight of the tub assembly.Needless to say there was no clothing stuck in the drum. I ordered the rear bearing (manufacturer defective; 1 year old Frigidaire affinity washer - $900.00 dollars) which I personally switched. Washer is working perfectly. Lazy technicians did not want to check interior problem. Requested refund for extended warranty for both washer and dryer. Frigidaire said that they were going to charge technicians fee. Two weeks have passed and there has been no refund. By the way when my wife called Frigidaire they kept telling her that their district manager had been e-mailed for authorization. Being in retail myself all decisions go to location manager. As a school teacher I will let my students now that Frigidaire will not stand by their product, nor their warranty promise.

They dispensed a company called ABCO to my home on 7-9-16. The technician was nice and advised he would be getting the part within 3 days (M-W). I never heard back from them. I left a total of 4 messages with the last one last night (7-19-16). The receptionist or maybe temporary worker was extremely rude, very unprofessional, and had the vocabulary of an uneducated child. She argued she did not receive any messages. Perhaps she did not hit play on the answering machine (yes, answering machine). After arguing, I called Frigidaire to advise their sub was useless and I wanted them nowhere near my home. I now have a new company coming 7-25 and I hope they can do what ABCO could not.

We bought our Frigidaire dishwasher in August 2019. Immediately, the 3rd rack, top rack was difficult to close, constantly getting hung up on the upper spin arm. Well, the spin arm fell off, we needed to order a new one, and remove the upper rack permanently. This past spring, the connection hose leaked, my husband replaced that as well. 5 days after the warranty expired (1 year warranty) the middle spray arm fell off. There is absolutely no way to reattach it. I tried contacting Frigidaire, but calling them just runs you in circles, back through the same recorded loop. Chat on line does not work at all. I emailed on September 5th, and response back was they were getting higher than normal volume of emails, theyll get back to me when they can! No response in 3 weeks from the email. I went on their Facebook page to comment on the lack of customer service and that their dishwasher is a waste of money. I noticed a message box open and have been conversing with someone at the company. On 9/17 they messaged me that they would have a repair person come out and the company would cover labor and parts, offered this as a one time only, since it was out of warranty for 5 days when it broke again. I have not heard back from them, gave them dates that were convenient for us, which Frigidaire requested. Today is September 25th, and I am not getting any response when I message Frigidaire. I purchased a Frigidaire upright freezer in July of 2021. By the end of December, the freezer had an indicator light blinking which mean the temperature was dropping inside. I had almost $400 worth of food which was thawing and had to be thrown out. This happened New Years weekend, and I was not able to contact Frigidaire until Tuesday, January 4th, when they reopened from the holidays. They sent a technician immediately out the next day, January 5th, and he noted that 5 different components of the freezer had gone bad and needed to be replaced. He also mentioned that hed had over 20 different calls on the same freezer, which the same issues with the 5 components failing. I called back to Frigidaire on January 5, 2022, and told the representative that five components failing was not a fluke but a defect in the unit. I also noted that this model freezer was discontinued....I wonder why? The representative told me that if they were unable to order the five components within 7 to 10 business days, I could get a refund. No one contacted me and I called back on the 11th business day, which was January 20th. I spoke to both a representative and her supervisor and they told me that I would not receive a refund, but would simply have to wait until they received the backordered parts. I asked her what timeline would be reasonable, and she said she didnt know, I would just have to wait! I demanded a refund, and she refused. She said the only way I would get a refund is if the technician declared the freezer unrepairable, which, clearly they will not do. All the while, I am without a freezer, lost over $400 in food, and the 1 year warranty is ticking away. By the time the unit is repaired, I will then be out of warranty and out of luck not if, but when it breaks down again. All I was offered is $100 in food replacement. I want a refund and want this freezer declared defective.

My husband and I purchased new Frigidaire appliances for our daughter a few years ago. She went to Lowes and chose the Frigidaire refrigerator, dishwasher and electric range with the finish that looks like stainless steel. The electric range stopped working as soon as the one year warranty expired. My daughter called a licensed repairman who came back three times, replacing the heating element and some type of circuit board. Within a few weeks, the oven stopped working again. Every now and then it would suddenly start working again, but eventually catch on fire. My daughters husband has installed new heating elements twice, (they couldnt afford to keep calling a repairman) but the oven and stovetop worked for a while, go out, work again and then the element catches on fire. Both my daughter and I have contacted Frigidaire (Electrolux) customer service and have gotten a complete runaround. Their position is that unless there is an official recall they will do nothing. A week ago the oven caught fire again and I told my daughter not to waste any more money to have it repaired. My husband and I are going to buy her a new range, but I can promise you it will not be a Frigidaire product and I want to warn other people to avoid them as well.

Purchased $1700+ refrigerator in March 2016. July 2016: ice maker stopped working; repaired via Frigidaire warranty; worked approximately 2 days then broke again. This has been the pattern; a noise will start, the ice maker stops working, repair person comes out in a week, fixes, works for a little while then breaks again. So far the ice maker and seals have been replaced 6 times. The thermostat has been replaced once. The seals had to be replaced again as frost was forming in my refrigerator near the ice maker. A seal in the actual ice dispenser in door had to be replaced. It has been on and on. Lowes will do nothing. Frigidaire says as long as it can be repaired, they will repair it. So I buy a new refrigerator and I dont get what I paid for. I get, instead a refrigerator that breaks on average every 1.5 months. Phone call after phone call. Lowes response is that while its under Frigidaire warranty, they (Lowes) will do nothing.

Today was the 2nd time my microwave has been repaired since purchasing it in 2008. We also purchased a dishwasher and a smooth top slide in range. The door on the range has a stain in between the glass and cant get it out. The warming drawer door will not close properly unless you pick it up and then push. The dishwasher has leaked water and moisture is coming from the top and ruining my counter. The digital board went out on it also. My microwave has been the worst as this is the second repair and it’s still not fixed and will not be fixed until after Thanksgiving! These appliances are all the Frigidaire professional series bought from HHGregg. I will never buy another Frigidaire product nor anything manufactured by Electrolux. Unsatisfactory appliances not worth the money you pay for them. Warning: If you purchase them, get ready for problems. Ive had repairmen tell me that Frigidaire products are full of service repairs! To this day since November 1, 2011, I still dont have a microwave. It took me 4-1/2 hours just to get hold of someone in the service dept at HHGregg. All of these things are just unacceptable. 18 months ago we purchased a Kenmore Laundry center, model 970L97422F0, that was made Frigidaire. The washer DOES NOT fill with enough water to do the cleaning. More often than not there are dry spots. The 24-inch gas wall ovens are not displayed in stores. So, I made my purchase online from Airport Home Appliances. The difference in the appearance of the oven online and in person was as different as night and day. The oven sits too far off the cabinet. Which did not show online. The bottom drawer was uneven, flimsy, and the parts inside were bent and didnt close completely. Airport Home Appliance agreed regarding the defective/damaged oven and ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, the 2nd oven had the same issues. They did remove the oven from my home. I paid $1699.00 for this oven, not including taxes and installation. On June 11, 2014 I purchased Frigidaire Air Conditioner - Model FFTA1422Q2 - Serial No. KK3 through P.C. Richards, which was delivered on June 19, 2014 and installed the following day. I completed and mailed in my registration on July 1, 2014. I used the unit during the summers of 2014 and 2015. I tried turning it on again on Friday, May 27, 2016 and the unit would not cool. On Saturday May 28, 2016 I called the Frigidaire Customer Service number 800-944-9044 only to get a recording to contact 2 different service companies, one in Laurelton, NY and the other in Deer Park, NY. Neither of these numbers were operational.I then called PC Richards Customer Service to find a repair service that handles Frigidaire units so that I would not void my warranty. They gave me Aid Audio & Television Service Corp. I tried reaching them but due to the holiday weekend I could not get through until Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Told them the unit was not cooling and the first appointment I could get was Friday, 6/10/16. When the serviceman arrived he said I needed a new control board and the office would call me on Monday June 13, 2016 with the cost. When I did not hear from them on Monday, I called them back twice and could not get an answer. I then contacted PC Richards Customer Service department and spoke with Ellen. She called and spoke with Soma who said that Paul would be back in touch with me. He called me later in the day and told me that it would cost me $416.00 plus tax for the part and labor, which included the $95.00 I had already paid for the service call. I told them I would let them know.I felt this was ludicrous and I then contacted Frigidaire Customer Service on Wednesday June 15, 2016 and spoke with Linda. She agreed and did not think I even needed a control board since it was operational, it just wasnt cooling. She told me the main control board would be $85.56, a display board was $52.41 and a control panel with overlay would be $23.51. She felt another service company should come and look at the unit at no charge if the problem was in the sealed system, otherwise I would be charged. She made arrangements with Petro Home Services to look at the unit on Monday 6/20/16. The service man determined that I had lost the Freon and needed to put in a sealant and replace the Freon. On 6/22/16 I was told by Kelly at Frigidaire that parts were being ordered at no charge.Petro returned on June 24, 2016 and took the unit out of the sleeve again only to find out that I needed a new compressor as well. At first I was told that the part was covered, but I would have to pay the labor charge of $500.00. I again called Frigidaire and spoke with Chanel who confirmed that I would not be responsible for any payments. The compressor was ordered (Part #5304476923). I have now been told by Petro Home Services that there was no ETA on this part. I again called Frigidaire on June 30, 2016 and spoke with Sandra and requested a new unit. She very blatantly told me that the unit was repairable, not replaceable.I wrote to Frigidaire telling them it has now been 6 weeks that I have been without an air conditioner, with my apartment reading 90 degrees in the middle of a heat wave. I am a senior citizen and cannot live in these conditions. I either need this unit to be repaired immediately; replace the unit with a brand new one or refund me so that I can purchase another air conditioner. I am tired of getting a run-around and need immediate action, otherwise I will purchase another unit and take action against Frigidaire. With no response I bought another air conditioner that is working beautifully. They finally came and repaired the broken one with a new compressor and freon and I sold it at a loss, but at least my apartment has been cool the rest of the summer. I would never purchase another Frigidaire product again and would certainly make sure my relatives and friends would not either.

Purchased all new appliances in 2009. Last year the door hinges and the refrigerator broke. Found a good handyman to redesign and replace the hinges. The small burner on my stove turns itself on. Very rude Frigidaire rep says it is not under recall. Odd because the stove was repaired for the same problem under recall in 2009. The appliances are poorly made, customer service is terrible.

The handles on my oven and dishwasher have rotted and the alleged stainless is peeling off the handles. I called customer service they were rude and said it never happened to anyone before, that is a lie because I have read several stories in reviews stating the same complaint. I would upload pictures if I was able too. They do not stand by their product and said it was cosmetic they would give me a discount on the new handle replacements. These appliances are only 5 years old and I complained 3 years ago. It annoys me still this is happening.I will never buy another product from them again it is a shame...

I would prefer no stars but unfortunately I was not given that option! I will never again purchase anything made by Frigidaire or their partners. I bought a stop top from them when we built our house 12 years ago. After 7 or 8 years, one of the switches broke. There was no problem with this. But when we called to get the replacement part ($123 plus S&H), what they sent us was not the original part. It had been replaced by a very poor quality universal part. I called to tell them that this part would not last and that I was sure it would break again. Their customer service department gave us no options! Well, a couple of years later, the part did indeed break again. We called CS again and was told that they would be glad to sell us another switch and that a repair technician would have to come and replace it. We would have to pay for that charge as well. After much hassle on the phone, they finally agreed to have him come out at no charge to us, because they thought we were not placing the switch in correctly and that was surely the reason it broke! Well, once again, the switch has broken. Our only recourse is to buy a 3rd switch for another $123 plus S&H. I have several issues with Frigidaire in regards to this issue! First, only one person that I spoke to today even tried to be helpful. I was transferred to multiple people and all of them seemed to be confused as to what they were supposed to be doing. They obviously do not understand what customer service really is. They kept asking me what I wanted from them. I told them the problem again and again and asked for a permanent solution to a very expensive problem! After replacing this switch 3 or 4 times, I could buy a new stop top! Not one person offered to send a new part out for free because of this being an on-going problem! Now, that would have gotten a raving fans review! I understand that they dont want to sell me replacement parts. They want to sell me a new stove top! But that is not what I expect from a company that advertises their products as top of the line and high in performance etc. Secondly, it is a crying shame for them to charge $123 for a small switch that probably cost them $5 or $10 to make! That is price gouging if I have ever heard of it. And the last time I checked, price gouging is illegal! I am so disappointed in this company and it is very unfortunate, because overall, I love the stovetop. When it has to be replaced however, it will definitely not be replaced with another Frigidaire product! I am curious to know if other people have had problems with this replacement switch (part no. 318078200)! This is the first time I have ever rated an experience with such negativity, but this has been the most frustrating situation! By the way, I found the switch on www.knobshopper.com for $29. Now what does that tell you?

I will never purchase another Frigidaire product for the following reasons: 1). After two years, the interior light switches failed, causing the lights to remain on after the doors were closed, resulting in the bulbs burning the top of refrigerator compartment. Repairman couldn’t fix them, due to the fact that there are no cool bulbs to replace with. I still have no lights in fridge. 2). The auto ice maker has no overfill shut-off, until you discover that when door is opened, the ice falls underneath the freezer, and the door won’t close until you remove spilled cubes under the freezer; accessing the spilled cubes is a nightmare, for which I now have a special homemade device for this job. 3). Now that fridge is “old” (2012 purchase), water is leaking to bottom of freezer compartment, the freezer jams if it’s not removed. Every 5-6 days, I must empty the bottom drawer of freezer, get down on hands and knees, chip away 1/2 inch of ice from freezer floor, then re-pack bottom drawer!4). Upon calling Frigidaire about the last issue, representative advised me to “purchase a new one, it’s old”, which I definitely will, however, not from this company or any of its affiliates!

We have had our Frigidaire Affinity for EIGHT years with no problems whatsoever--till yesterday. The washer stalled on the spin cycle. Problem was wads of some kind of matted, tarry stuff on the drain filter. Stuff that comes off dirty clothes? Don't think I cleaned the washer every time it asked "Clean washer"? And think maybe that was the problem. OR, how to get out the gunk that accumulates on the filter? Where is my manual? Can't find. Otherwise, I have been DELIGHTED with my wonderful, stalwart Frigidaire Affinity. And even this problem is probably just use-related. And, it might be my own darned fault, just as Jimmy Buffett said.

Bought all new Frigidaire appliances for new house in Coeur dAlene, Idaho. Right away the refrigerator broke, making the freezer side super cold and the refrigerator side hot. Model number is FGHC2345LF. Freds Appliance (supplier we bought from) fixed it. This is a vacation home, so we are not there very much. Next time we came out, the same problem. Freds fixed it again (allegedly). This happened 3 more times, for a total of 5 repairs for the same thing, under warranty. They claim they replaced mechanical parts, electrical wiring, circuit boards, etc.Of course, as soon as the warranty expired, the same problem reoccurred and both Frigidaire and Freds Appliance told us to start paying if we wanted it fixed. Paid $583 to repair it. A year later, its broken again. Now they are saying its my fault because we dont use it enough! Seriously! They say it has electrolysis because Im not there with it. We leave the house at 55 degrees in the winter when were not there, and never over 80 in the summer. These are not extreme operating temperatures. Why doesnt the state attorney generals step in? I am going to request assistance from the Idaho BBB and State Attorney General.

As with another review, I also tried not to give any stars but was unable to. I purchased both a Frigidaire fridge and dishwasher in May 2011. I hadnt even had the fridge 3 months before experiencing problems. The food in the bottom tray of the fridge kept freezing and the ice dispenser would not dispense ice. I was provided with three services companies which I could contact according to Frigidaire since the product was under warranty. I scheduled my first appointment, just to have the service man inform me that Frigidaire has been having many issues with this fridge and he didnt have the part that was needed and would need to come back. He came back and installed the correct part, so the fridge would dispense ice but yet the food in the bottom tray was still freezing. A few months later the fridge stopped dispensing ice again.I called and made another appointment, just to have the service man come out and say I see what its doing and when I run all the tests it is passing, but I need to call the manufacturer and they are closed. Having to schedule another appointment which I did, just to have the same thing happen again!! This has been an ongoing issue for about 5-6 months now. All of a sudden the dishwasher is now falling apart as well. I have asked numerous times for a refund and have been told unless you have had three services and them manufacturer deems the product un-repairable, we cannot offer you a refund. In such an economy when people have to work to pay for appliances costing $2000 they expect people to work around their schedule, because it seems like they are never open. I will never purchase another appliance from this manufacturer ever again. I would much rather pay a little bit more if I had to just to avoid the headaches and excuses I have had to deal with.

I bought a gas range 2 and 1/2 years ago. The first year the oven did not work and the repair was covered under the 1 year warranty.. About 1 year later the oven broke again, not under warranty but after contacting the company they agreed to replace the part and I would pay the labor. The labor was $140 and it took 3 new parts. Last week the oven did not work once again, and I got the company to agree to the same arrangement. The labor was $140, the part was priced at $33... The oven still does not work and I have lost confidence in the product. The company said that the last part was guaranteed for 30 days, but I know that when I call for service they will find a new part to fix and charge me another $140.. I asked the company to replace this unit, there has been no reply..

I purchased my Frigidaire Professional appliances for a kitchen remodel in January of 2015. The appliances Sat in my garage (in its factory box) until our remodel was done, so we started using them in mid Feb. 2015. The refrigerator ice maker started making a slight noise around Christmas of 2015 and has progressed into a horribly loud noise in January of 2016. Today I called Frigidaire to complain, they offered to sell me an extended warranty for another $450.00... I told them No thanks. I would use a portion of the $450 to hire someone to come work on their product. You know, I dont mind paying extra for a good product. That is what I thought we had done, but Frigidaire proved me wrong today! This refrigerator cost $1800 - and I did not even get a solid year out of it before problems started. Now I find they refuse to stand behind their product. This was my first Frigidaire product and it will absolutely be my last! Thanks for nothing Frigidaire.

Do not buy Frigidaire washing machine! I bought one just 6 months ago. I have had the repairman out here last month. Now, this month, he needs to come again! I cant return it to Lowe’s because they dont take exchanges, returns, or refund on major appliances! So I think I will also never buy another major appliance from Lowe’s and definitely not another Frigidaire product of any kind. The shocks went immediately! Now, once again, they need replacing! Sadly, I didnt get the extended warranty. I figured my last washer lasted 12 years and I never had a warranty on any of my other appliances, so I didnt need one this time. That was a big mistake because, unfortunately, Frigidaire doesnt stand well behind their appliances, and they dont stay working for long either! The customer service number that Lowe’s gives needs help too. They cant get scheduling correct, and their computers are down a lot. So, they say it needs to break 3 times on the same item to maybe get a replacement? For real? Ever since we got this top of the line fridge new, Eve noticed that the ice maker is nearly useless. If you use ice then be prepared to constantly turn on the quick freeze option, which really doesnt help either, but at least you get some ice. Now though to make matters worse, the ice hopper has broken, the ice maker drips water out of the front door and spews water all over our floor every time we open the door. The ice turns into gigantic chunks, the width of the entire hopper, by melting together- I cant even open the door without trying to break the chunks by running the ice maker, and risking burning up the motor. So I ordered a replacement unit, but everyone must be having this issue because theres a nationwide backorder. Last time I buy this brand, it sure looks nice, but only if you dont need an ice maker.

I bought a fridge with an ice maker in the fridge. For the first 8 months the ice maker made 120 to 150 small cubes of ice daily and worked to my satisfaction. Then the ice production dropped to about 40 to 50 cubes daily. After almost a dozen service calls the unit was replaced with a new fridge. For about 8 months the second unit worked as described in the manual making 120 to 150 small cubes in a 24 hour period. Again the ice production dropped to 30 to 40 cubes daily. This time after 3 service calls from 2 different companies I was told by Frigidaire that the unit is working properly and the ice maker is only a convenience and they have left me hanging with an ice maker that does not produce ice. The technician that came out said the ice maker temp was 28 degrees and too warm. Should be 9 degrees. Frigidaire tech support said it is working properly so I got hung out with nothing.I wrote the CEO Mr. Shaw and his assistant called me and said nothing they can do and Mr. Shaw does not even know there is an issue because he gets screened from everything. So I bought this stove a year ago, a Frigidaire, but made by Electrolux. It is working fine but there are these little rubber feet on the bottom of the cast iron grates that come off (they stick to the enamel surface of the stove) every time you clean under the grates. So after almost a year and having lost eight feet, I decided to call the company and ask that they replace these small rubber feet. So I spoke to Jasmine with customer service and she said these feet are considered cosmetic and she was sorry I would have to buy new ones. Well okay, how much could they be? They are tiny black rubber nipples. Jasmine tells me I can have 8 of them for $29 and they will even give me some glue so they wont come out when you lift the grates. Are you kidding me?! They will give me glue, something that should have been done at the factory. So I asked Jasmine if I could talk to a supervisor. Well it took 28 minutes waiting on the phone for this supervisor. I know they were hoping I would hang up and just forget about it, but this is crazy, the feet probably cost 5 cents to produce. So charge me fifty cents. That’s $4.00 for 8 feet, Ill do it. The supervisor finally comes on. Her name is Jennifer. She can get me 16 rubber feet for the $29 and she wont charge me shipping. By this time I am fuming but remain polite and tell her I will not pay for something that should have been installed properly in the first place and that I believed this was a scam by the manufacturer. I will not let this rest because I told her these little rubber feet will create thousands of dollars of negative publicity for this greedy company that has no customer service whatsoever. I am not an idiot and I will not be cheated.

I purchased a Frigidaire washer and dryer in July of 2015. Almost immediately I need service due to the washer leaking, not filling up with water properly and the dryer would not dry the clothes completely. Since then, I have had 11 separate service calls on the units. Each time, there is a 4 hour window for service which requires me to be off work. They have replaced every part on the washer and most computerized parts on the dryer. Now, the washer has the same problem that caused the original service call. I have made numerous calls to the customer service line and always get the same response. Customer service say they are meeting to decide how to proceed and promise a return call. They never do. I have to call them, start the entire conversation history over with another customer service rep.We are now in June of 2016. I may have had 2 weeks of continual usage of the washer and dryer until the next problem with the machines occur. I have asked them to recognize that they sold me a defective product and to stop trying to fix the unfixable and send me a new machine. I have explained to them that my unit got by their quality control department and that they sold me a lemon, a machine that obviously does not work as intended. Of course, the warranty will expire in July and they will then have no obligation to fix (joke) the units. If this was a automobile, it would be recalled. If this was medical care, it would be malpractice. You would think a company of this size would realize that they sold me a bad product and make it right.Today I emailed the CEO Jonas Samuelson with my complaints. Hoping but with major doubts I will hear back. Buyers, beware of this company and good luck dealing with their lack of customer service. PS: I still have no washer and dryer going on 30 days from the last service call. Apparently, they are waiting for parts to arrive. Guess they never heard of USPS or UPS overnight shipping.

I’ve had a “new” microwave for 3 years and during this time I’ve had to call in 4 or 5 service request since it’s not working. Since it’s outside of their warranty, they charge $90 per trip fee. If I want to avoid the trip fee, they want me to pay for an extended warranty. Either way, they want more money. This just tells me they are using a defective product & could care less about the customer experience. Horrible accommodations to a client. For the amount they charge & the number of times they’ve been out, I could have easily purchased another appliance. If it was the 1st or 2nd time, I understand. But at this point it tells me you have incompetent contractors “fixing” an item that should have been replaced & an appliance that messes up this many times in such a short amount of time tells me it’s horribly put together. Trash!

I have had Frigidaire Washer, Refrigerator and Range for about 10 years now, and absolutely nothing have went wrong. I cook fairly often and use the laundry almost every day, sometimes twice a day. All the Frigidaire appliances have served me well. I would definitely buy them again.

This morning I tried to preheat my Frigidaire glass cooktop-oven and it caught on fire. There was a flame that I could see down through the glass cooktop and smoke pouring out of the back. I turned it off and my son reached back, unplugged it, then my husband and son picked it up and carried it outside. They unscrewed the back panel. The stove is definitely ruined! What a CHEAP BRAND. We bought brand new house with the FRIGIDAIRE BRAND appliances. From day one we had issue with Fridge door panel and water filter. Never get fixed. We turn on the Range stove and oven it starts making grinding noise. Sound was so loud that makes you scared. Service technician came and mentioned that we would have fire if I was continuing to use it. The fan inside the oven was broken. Top range surface working but the color start coming off. Looks ugly however they don’t cover all this. Ridiculous. Brand new beautiful home with ugly Frigidaire scratched stove. They want you to take additional warranty however they don’t even take responsibility on fixing stuff under one-year warranty. Service people come and they are so rude. When you call the customer service they don’t want to hear anything because they are tired of listening to the complaints all day. Used LG and Samsung Brand in the past. Never ever had an issue at all. We left our 7 years old LG stove which looks 10 times better compare to what I have today with Frigidaire. NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM FRIGIDAIRE

Why 1 star? The fridge is actually quite nice and I would usually give it a high score… So why 1 star? Because we were one of the unlucky ones that received a unit that didn’t work and the customer service to fix this problem was atrocious. I understand companies cannot achieve 100% perfection on their products leaving the factory. I understand things like this happen. I do not understand what happened next on how it was handled. Summary if you don’t want the long read: Bought brand new fridge, didn’t work…We didn’t have a fridge/freezer from September 3rd until August 8th 2021. Lost hundreds of dollars in groceries and to call customer service took over an hour every time except once.Long version… Here is the timeline of events that I recall to the best of my memory: From day one on August 20th, we noticed something funny. The fridge was freezing some things and the freezer collected frost easy. Things were still working so we were questioning if the fridge just wasn’t as good as the reviews… or do we need to put a ticket in? Made sure all the vents were free like the manual said etc… It did work, but not as well as the dying 12 year old fridge we had hauled away when the new one arrived.September 3rd: Freezer died completely. This was my first time trying to reach Frigidaire. No customer service on weekends and lucky us this was a long weekend. So, all weekend we got to listen to an alarm on the fridge constantly saying the freezer temp was too high. Ding Ding Ding…Repeat! UGH. September 6th – Got through to Frigidaire on the phone after 1 hour 5 minutes on hold listening to elevator music and advertisements about buying water filters on their web store. OMG SHOOT ME. They could not set up a repair time yet as they had to put the ticket in. They eventually set it up and called us back a couple of days later with the time the repair guy could make it out… and the soonest they could send out a repair person was the week of September 20th. YEA 2 weeks without a freezer and listening to a constant alarm about the freezer being too high a temp!!! Well at least we had a fridge.September 20th – Repair guy looked at it and said the fan and circuit board was not working. He checked availability of the parts and that was going to be NOV 1st. Night of the 20th the Ice Maker section up in the fridge section stopped working… The melted ice flooded everything. Luckily, we saw it and prevented water damage to our hardwood floor.September 21st – the fridge portion of the fridge stopped working completely. Repair guy came right out and looked at that problem and determined there was a problem internally that something wasn’t hooked up right at the factory and the fridge was completely unserviceable and needed a complete replacement. We then went about trying to give food away to friends and such as we had a stocked fridge… Ultimately, we estimate over $300 worth of grocery losses due to the fridge not working. On the bright side we could unplug the fridge and not have to listen to the alarm anymore…On the brighter side we did not have to wait until NOV 1st for freezer parts because the fridge was deemed unserviceable… So in a way we were lucky…Maybe? Kinda?Called Frigidaire again… 45-minute wait and when I got on there was an echo on the line… After about a minute the person said she couldn’t hear me anymore and told me to call back… 1 hour 12 minutes later with the same great music and ads I got through again… They have to put a ticket into the back office which takes 5-10 business days… Translation = 2 weeks in real time. As I complained about this and asked to be patched to someone in the back office the person said something I missed and hung up on me. I actually waited for the stupid questionnaire after the call and gave the lowest rating to the phone agent.Seriously??? It takes 2 weeks for the back office to look at the notes that their repair guy submitted. Well, hey… 2 more weeks without a fridge. I’m sure if you are reading this you agree 2 weeks without a fridge is totally ok. I mean… who really uses a fridge on a daily basis anyways? Here is an idea for Frigidaire… pay OT to your staff to catch up on 5 days of work. That way the wait time is only zero to 5 days instead of 5 to 10 business days.I was told to call October 5th if I had not heard back… So on October 5th I called back… 1 hour 31 minutes a joyful elevator music and advertisements about their webstore later a friendly lady answered the phone. I could hear some kids in the background and I have absolutely NO problem with that… She was nice and handled an angry caller (me) very well. YO Frigidaire!!! Hire more stay-at-home moms! It will shorten customers wait times and she got the job done…As well it will give a job to someone that has a very restricted schedule. Dust off your wallets and hire more customer service reps! The lady told me it was approved on September 30th and the approval was sent to Bad Boys (the dealer we bought from)… Yeah nobody told us. She called bad boys and gave me the reference number. I am still not sure why Bad Boys didn’t call me on September 30th… You know 5 extra days without a fridge is no big deal. Kids can have another bowl of dry cereal. This next part is not due to Frigidaire, but they should understand if a dealer gets a call on September 30th they are not necessarily delivering the new fridge that day. So, I called Bad Boys after I got off the phone with Frigidaire. They did not have an answer for me or a reason why they did not have an answer for me… but they would get back to me in the next couple of days to arrange a delivery time. 2 more days without a fridge… This is where one starts to contemplate the little things in life… Like “Is black coffee any good???”… “Just because it says refrigerate after opening does it really mean it?”… Did I mention we bought Bad Boys “Gold Warranty” to make sure we were covered well and wouldn’t have to worry about being without a fridge?October 8th – New replacement fridge arrived. I have no idea how we could have avoided this debacle. We researched fridges and the Gallery one we bought had great reviews. I guess I would probably give it a good review if it worked well and I had no problems. The actual layout of the fridge and organization is really nice. Nice features… Lots of positive things that could be said on that… But imagine yourself buying an expensive new fridge and then from September 3rd through October 8th you didn’t have a fridge/freezer and you lost hundreds in food. What review rating would you give? All and all you will be happy with the fridge IF nothing goes wrong with it.

I purchased a French door refrigerator 8 months ago. The bottom door shelf broke off after 5 months. I ordered a new one. It took 6 weeks to get it. It arrived in a book with most of the chef in wrapped in a plastic bags. The end had broken off and was laying on top of the bag. Yes, the obviously dropped and broke the shelf in packaging and shipped the broken shelf anyway. I called to return the shelf. Their policy is that the customer has to buy a 2nd shelf, and they will credit your account for the first. Well, that was 6 weeks ago. I have not received credit for the broken shelf and the new shelf has not been shipped. I’ve made 2 attempts to find out when the shelf will be shipped, and no one seems to know. They were however able to take my money twice. I will be buying the rest of my appliances from a more reputable company.

I purchased a Frigidaire Professional Refrigerator in Aug 2015. Since then, I have had the same issue over and over again. The bottom ice maker will work once it is replaced for about a day or two then it stops. This is still going on today 01/30/2017. They have made several major repairs to the unit. Nothing has worked 100%. All the company seems to want to do is replace the bottom ice maker. It is clear that the issue isnt the ice maker. A tech just came out this past Monday and replaced the compressor in the refrigerator and he put a new ice maker in as well. After 1 day, the ice maker stopped working again. I called the Lowes warranty department and they said unless a repairman deems the unit irreparable the ice maker doesnt qualify us for a replacement. It was on factory warranty for 1 year. They also told me that those repairs do not count under the extended warranty. So it is like starting over all over again. My husband believes that they are trying to ride this out until we either give up or the warranty runs out. The current repair company has been out 6 times and 7 will be Monday 02/06/2017. Based on the information I have received from the repair company they have not gotten paid because the issue still exist. I have no control over that. I have been in constant contact with the repair company talking with them concerning this issue. I have been very cooperative and understanding. This whole issue is way out of control and the company doesnt seem to care about the customers or the products that they sell.I would never purchase another Frigidaire Product again. This one was my first. It will certainly be my last. I have been very unhappy and dissatisfied with the products performance and the customer service. I would very much like for an attorney to contact me over this issue.

We went to Lowes and bought a Frigidaire range. We were invited to buy an extended warranty and we did, so we bought 2 years extended warranty, and paid them by CC. 17 months later the board went bad on that range. We called. They sent in a technician, he ordered the part. Ten days later he came and put the part. Everything is well so far then I start receiving calls from the company that fixed the range, they didnt get paid. I called Frigidaire extended warranty and what a surprise they want me to pay $25 more for them to honor the warranty. They said that they didnt charge enough in the beginning of the contract, and the contractor will keep calling me at work and on my cell until I paid them. All my attempts to explain to them that we paid what they want us to pay and that I still have the invoice, to no avail. The contractor was calling sometimes six to seven times a day at work mostly until we paid them the $25. These people acted like the mob, you pay us or else, even we have a contract that paid fully. The way we have been treated is shameful. I will never buy any Frigidaire product ever.

Bought over $6000 of appliances while renovating my kitchen (less than three years ago). First issue arose when cast iron grates on dual fuel range had peeling paint off grates. Called when the stove was about 8 months old. Told there was no warranty and if I wanted something better looking, I needed to buy new grates. I did, supposedly got a 50% discount but grates were still nearly $100. Just had my 5th service call for icemaker repair... each time after paying $130 service call always requiring parts to fix... spent around $800 in repairs so far. Tried to speak to customer service about my frustration and high cost of obviously defective product. No offer of compensation other than 50% off parts ordered from them, big deal. I even tried to speak to a supervisor and got no other offers of help or even trying to remedy my situation. Not to mention a cracked piece of plastic on the top of my freezer door damaged by the repairman that cannot be replaced... Frigidaire does not sell this part and I need a whole new door... absolutely ridiculous and poor service after spending my hard earned money on several appliances... I would never purchase again. I have a 14 year old whirlpool fridge that is an extra-- still in use in my garage. I have done nothing other than replace the water filter. Never one ounce of trouble. Next time I will buy whirlpool.

I have a refrigerator with a freezer on top. I have banged my head on the edge or underneath the freezer door while it was open on several occasions. Last night, I banged my head so hard that I sustained a serious neck injury. I still have a headache and being treated by a doctor. This has never happened to me before with any other refrigerator/freezers. I will get rid of this refrigerator to prevent personal injury from happening again. I didnt want to spend the week leading up to Christmas in pain, but I am. Im very frustrated! I have had two whiplashes from car accidents and this mishap with my freezer door has only compounded the problem.
