I purchased the Thermador wall built-in ovens (SCD3022P) in 2003 and I am replacing the oven control panels for the 2nd time. The oven digital read out is gone for both ovens. First replacement was just after a year, after putting up a fuss managed to get it replaced under warranty. Now the 2nd unit ($333 + tax & installation) has faded out a second time and Thermador is unresponsive. We certainly did not expect this from a Thermador product. Based on this experience and Thermadors unresponsiveness I would not recommend the Thermador product.

This is a Thermador, built-in, French-door fridge/freezer (Model #T36IT800NP), only 2 yrs. old that cost approx. $8500, uninstalled, pre panels. The design is very poor to begin with. The shelves span all the way across the interior. Having split shelves that allow different height items (like most French door refrigerators) would allow far more versatility in storage. As it is, all tall items must go in the door which means condiments clutter up the only three shelves. Within the first year, the seal on the left door started to fail. Next was the ice maker (made by Samsung!). The water filter needs to be changed every 6 mos. The first change was fine, the second change was not recognized by the computer and the change filter display was constantly illuminated. I had a service tech out who suggested I try another filter, perhaps my replacement was defective. I could ignore the display, but it quit making ice. Then it started making ice again sporadically. At this point, the tech suggested I order a new ice making unit and filter valve. Before I could even place the order, the machine went hyper and made so much ice it overflowed (supposed to have a sensor to prevent that) blocking the back of the freezer drawer so that it could not close. After removing the ice blockage, the flimsy top freezer shelf (which holds the ice bin) would not close and small piece of plastic that kept it in place fell off. Upshot, had to turn off the erratic ice maker, permanently remove the top shelf and bin, and we now have no ice mid-summer.I did my research and had ordered a KitchenAid, problem with stocking and time crunch so ended up with this very expensive and disappointing model on the recommendation of the sales person. Massive mistake! Top of the line machines should NOT be made with cheap parts. It also appears that the warranty will not cover any of the parts or labor to replace. Ive built many kitchens, but this is the first appliance that Ive ever regretted purchasing. Caveat emptor!

Bought a Thermador Double wall oven. I have it for 10 years. Already after five years, I had to replace the computer which was $900 and every year I have to change the hinges. A bunch of other times, the oven had to be repaired costing $100s of dollars each time. Now the top oven is not working at all. Cost me $350 just for the repairman to try to fix it. Looks like I need a new oven. I am very upset this oven was very expensive.

Seven years ago we remodeled our kitchen. Sadly the only location we had for a refrigerator was a wide, but shallow space. Our appliance contractor recommended this Thermador refrigerator Model # KBUDT4875E01, which cost over $14K! Recently the evaporator coil began leaking. We called the Thermador service department who referred us to a local repair company (Alltex Parker) in the DFW area. The service man told us our refrigerator was old, although is has a 12 year warranty. The good news is the $300.00 for parts was covered by our warranty. The bad news is the service call costs us $1500.00 for 4 hours to replace the coil! The service man informed us he sees many issues with Thermador appliances and it is not uncommon for these refrigerator coils to leak. He said he would be surprised if our refrigerator lasted the length of our warranty. This experience has taught me to do more appliance research upfront and to rely on customer reviews!

My thermostat went out in my larger oven and I struggled to get it fixed as the self-cleaning feature was based on a mercury-based system and that was determined illegal prior to my range malfunction. So, no one initially wanted to help me in Customer Service. My original guy was super rude. My local contractor was frustrated as the parts sent were wrong two times.Ironically, after Mister rude customer service man and a follow up call by me, I got a lot of support from Thermador as I guess they do listen to the customer service calls. My contact at Thermador alleviated the cost of the new thermostat that was legal without mercury. Yes, I gave up my self-cleaning forever, a bummer. My local contractor came out several times to get it right. I wasnt the nicest about it as I was so frustrated to spend around $8000 for an appliance and hood and just 9 years in, they said it was obsolete and had no warranty. End of the day, in 2011, after the repair before Thanksgiving, it didnt get to temperature again. Turkey was ruined. The local service came and did one more fix after reconnecting with Thermador and discovered they sent the wrong repair information, final repair was in December 2011. Ever since then, cooking is going great. Knowing I could put in my turkey last Thursday and knowing it would be perfect, which it was, was awesome. I feel like I got my 75% of original purchase back(!) less the self-cleaning. Thanks for monitoring mean customer service reps and being pro active! Please forward this to my local repair company. I think it was All-Service in Bellevue. Thanks.

We bought expensive Thermador double wall ovens about fifteen years ago. They are in perfect condition and have always worked perfectly and accurately until the other day when the knob that controls the upper oven broke. Now the oven cannot be turned on or off and Bosch/Thermador says they no longer have any parts available for the CT 127 or 227 series. So a terrific oven has to be torn out and replaced for lack of a $10 part. If anybody knows of an available knob, please contact me.

Thermador Professional GAS range with Non-functioning grill is NOT supported by Thermador, nor do local-Detroit, Michigan, professional appliance repair people know how to repair nor source parts for this range. Speaking with Thermador design engineers in Calif. does NOT provide a solution to: Grill VALVE not functioning, Thermador does not offer a replacement valve, they do not manufacture the valves anymore. This is a $10,000 range. Thermador has told me to scrap this 6 foot wide stainless steel, double oven, 6 burner range and purchase a new one versus simply offering to REPAIR this unit. Do NOT buy Thermador, go commercial.

I purchased a $6000 Thermador range, the leg covers were wrong size. I called the non-existent customer service, after waits of 45 min or more I talked to the installation hotline which is actually an ignorant whose only purpose is to transfer the call customer service. Once with customer service, you realized they are as ignorant about their product as the previous person, they decide to send a technician who came to my house a week later and could not install the leg covers. Of course no follow up, so after several calls and long period of waiting on hold, Thermador finally said I had to buy new covers because the unit I bought was a floor model and they are not responsible for missing or wrong parts on floor models. Stay away from Thermador.

I bought these ovens two years ago and two weeks ago they died. I need some kind of panel and a control panel, which will not be available for another 3 weeks. We recently purchased a home that has a Thermador range in it. I love to cook and believed this unit was a high end range, just waiting, waiting for an opportunity to use it. Well, the first time I turned it on, the igniter did not work. That was replaced however, the oven door does not close all the way. In reading the numerous reviews, it seems the hinges are faulty. All I can say is, of all the ranges I owned, I have never had to replace either the igniter or the oven door hinges. Appears Thermador, maybe resting on its laurels, or what used to be.

I purchased a $6250 (current retail price) 30 inch freezer column in 2009 when we built our home. 18 months after installation, the ice maker ceased working. No warranty. The freezer failed to cool 6 weeks ago. The part necessary to rectify the problem was also not covered -- just like the ice maker. We opted not to replace the ice maker, which would have resulted in a $700 charge and we paid approximately $350 to repair the current issue. It is unacceptable, and really borders on criminal, to incur these types of failures on a unit this new at a high end price point. I have an old GE fridge/freezer in the garage that was only several hundred dollars that is still working after 25 years. Shame on Thermador. I have several other Thermador appliances that are suboptimal. The Bosch washer died last Christmas after six service calls. Dont purchase Thermador or Bosch. You will be sorry!

Each grate on the cooktop has four rubber feet inserted in a small hole. Cleaning and general use damage these pads and cause them to either tear apart or completely fall out, leaving the grate unstable and out of balance. Thermador did replace missing pads while the stovetop was under warranty, but the poorly thought out design continues to be a recurring problem.

We have purchased a Thermador Professional gas range, electric wall oven and warming drawer. The range and wall oven have given us many issues, particularly the Professional gas range. Seems comical to us that it is referred to as a Professional Series. We very rarely use the range and yet it is the most likely to break down when we do utilize. We have had most (close to all) of the electronics replaced; the ignitors several times! We have just had service once again performed for a measly cost of just under $1,200 and after the first use, the range once again does not work! Oh yes, we were without the use of the product for approximately 1 1/2 months as we waited for parts! This is so ridiculous saying nothing of the fact that it is extremely expensive! We will never purchase Thermador again, never!

My husband and I purchase a stove and a hood from Thermador. We had been remodeling our home for the past two months. In the process we ordered a hood which in turn needed a motor. The motor was shipped to us, which seemed in good condition. It was not until we installed the motor it was not working properly. I called Thermador and spoke to Kayla who in turn told me if we did not have a technician install the product then they would not refund the motor. The motor was obviously defective and or broken before - how would we have known unless installing the unit. Now she stated her manager could do nothing for us. This was very upsetting after spending thousands on a stove and now this motor doesn’t work for the hood - its setting us back another $350 dollars. The customer service I received is poor! Inexcusable when Thermadors product was defective. And they do not want to reimburse or exchange the product. Fan motor **.

My husband and I built our dream retirement home and used Thermador for all our kitchen appliances to the tune of $20,000.00. First time opening refrigerator doors the header trim piece fell off and struck my husband in the head. Technician came back and slammed piece in with his fist, but still works its way loose over the course of a month, at which time my husband has to smack it back into place (very poor design). We are currently on our second stove. First one had back burners that looked as if we were cooking on campfires. Technicians came back three times to try and correct flames with no luck. Thermador requested analysis of our gas provider, who is very reputable and service many of our neighbors without any issues. After approximately a year of going back and forth, Thermador finally swapped out our stove and gave us a new one. However, just recently we tried to use the self-cleaning feature on our second stove and to our dismay it does not work. For this price point you would not expect such poor performance. We have already steered two couples who are our friends away from going with Thermador (one went with GE Monogram and the other with Wolf) and they are very happy. We would not recommend Thermador and would highly suggest that anyone in the market for a new appliance look elsewhere.

My range is 4 years old. Finally called Thermador directly and they confirmed what the repair person told me. Once you turn the oven to a certain temperature you cannot adjust it, no turning down that pie thats been in for 15 minutes. You have to turn the oven off and let it cool down. And you cant leave the oven door open or else youll burn out the board that sits at the top of the opening. BIG PROBLEM for me. Cant believe that my $7000 stove doesnt have this feature. Love the burners though.

Updated on 11/03/2020: We bought a package of appliances for our home and because of past experience (20 years ago) with Thermador we decided to go that route again. It was a huge mistake as Thermador quality and customer service are far different now. We paid about $13,000 for the range and it has not worked since being installed. Had a service appointment scheduled which was three weeks out. When the date came no one showed up and they conveniently said they showed no appointment in their records. This caused another 3 week delay. Guy finally showed up today and once again he said he had to order parts and will schedule an appointment to install the parts. We are now at 2 months without an operating range. I strongly recommend anyone looking at Thermador, Subzero or any of their products to rethink it. These people are difficult to deal with, have next to no customer support and they could care less about their companys failure to take care of its customers.Original Review: We remodeled our home and used Thermador products. We originally had a Thermador range we build home the home 22 years ago. That range was pretty problem free. We bought the same type of model as well as a subzero refrigerator and other appliances. We just moved back into our home and tried to use the ovens. They failed and are not working. Called Thermador and they said it will take 3 weeks to get anyone out. No sense of urgency and next to zero in support. I would never use their products again and will certainly never recommend them. To expect someone to wait 3 weeks is insane.

I purchased a complete kitchen, stove, double oven, refrigerator, wine cooler, beer fridge and dishwasher 2 years ago, close to $ 40,000. I wish I never did it, this company is a complete joke: Beer fridge never worked properly from the 2nd month, hasnt been on at all in last 6 months, customer service is non-existent, thats the kindest way I can state it. They tell me every month or so to unplug it and let it re set (pull the brand new fridge out of the cabinet and unplug it!!) Horrible. Regular fridge had ice problems in freezer from day 1 and water condensation issues in fridge. No solution offered by their service dept, they tell me its sophisticated software and has to be allowed to work these problems out over time!!Cant use double oven, it actually works but it loudly blows hot air into kitchen raising house temp 5 degrees. So you cant use it and entertain in the kitchen at the same time. Cant stress enough for the same money or less, try the other big brands, this one you will definitely regret. They will not help you with the repair, they take your call, tell you someone will contact you, no one does, then they get agitated with you when you follow up. It pretty amazing, cant believe there isnt more negative comments about the product quality and service.

This dishwasher has such a foul odor that you dont want to open it to put in the dishes. We were away for three weeks so it was empty. We just got back home, opened up the dishwasher and it smells with nothing in it!!!! When we put our dishes in, theyre already rinsed off! I even soaked up the water that lays in the drain in the bottom of the dishwasher and made no difference. Thermador did replace it once for me with the same model and no difference. I guess Im lucky. I havent had a disaster with our convection double oven. We bought ours, used about 6 years ago, from a house that was being gutted and remodeled. It was a 95 model and I was thrilled to be getting an updated, and convection oven. Now, Im nervous about keeping it and having something disastrous happen from all of these other posts. I was only trying to find a replacement knob and was frustrated at not being able to find one since they are no longer manufactured. Our oven was very difficult to install. My husband and father were able to cut the holes into the attic and vent it properly, but it has never cooked evenly, even using convection, and it always takes 30-45 minutes longer to cook anything like casseroles or meatloaf, anything denser.

Our home came w/a Thermador three piece microwave, warming drawer, and wall oven. The home is now 10 years old and the microwave has stopped working on the three piece unit. I was shocked to learn that you have to replace the entire unit for nearly $6,000 because they no longer make replacement parts. The rep on the phone was nice but explained that in order to keep up w/ technology they dont make replacement parts for things like microwaves. I guess when you buy a Thermador you should remember that it is unlikely you will get replacement parts and if you buy a three piece unit you will need to replace the entire thing if one component breaks. The rep seemed surprised that I would be upset about this... I guess they really only expect their products to last up to 10 years. That isnt very long for such an expensive high-end product. No more Thermadors for me or the new home I am building. Will call the appliance store and change my order stat!

Can you imagine the quality and service they provide for such a high end appliance? My old oven kept working for 30 years. They just assuming we can throw everything out and get new ones every few years? I just dont trust them. Does anyone on this board have gone through similar ordeal? 36 inch dual fuel range & dish washer - We have had our Thermador for two years and the oven has been out of service for four months to date and its out again! When we first tried to clean the oven, the heat burned up the circuit board. But that was not the first thing they tried and every part they need they have to order after a home visit, so the process took almost two months to resolve the first time. No oven for Thanksgiving and almost no oven for Christmas. Next time we cleaned the oven, poof, its broken again. Now, the warranty is out of date but it is the same problem! Now we fight through another battle. The oven was again eventually fixed and survived several cleanings but once again the oven is kaput after an attempt to use the cleaning cycle. There is also the story about the issues with the Thermador dishwasher sometimes running and sometimes not. Less painful than the oven but not what you would expect from new top of the line appliances. Never buy a Thermador appliance! I am sure you will do much better with any other manufacturer.

The large oven kept shutting off and the door doesnt shut. Resetting the breaker appeared to fix it, but didnt. Repairman came out and replaced the main board and relay board for $600. Now the large oven works, but the light does not go off in the large oven, and the fan runs continuously after using the small oven until you shut off the breaker. The repairman does not know why. He also informed me that Thermador no longer makes hinges for the large door, so I need to replace the entire door for $1200. Also charged $200 to replace the switch panel on the vent hood, which he was certain would fix the halogen lights. It didnt. Is anyone aware of a class action suit? First a little background. We own 2 homes and in them we have 3 Bosch dishwashers, 2 Thermador Cooktops and Thermador oven. All purchased new within the last 5 years. So with our one cooktop [$1,530 purchase price] one burner wasnt working and the burner cap had fallen down into the unit. We contacted the local AUTHORIZED Thermador repair center. They came out and said the end caps had fused on due to heat and the cooktop couldnt be taken off to do the repair. They said it would have be drilled out and a new cooktop installed. We then contacted where we had purchased it and they said this was a common problem with Thermador and suggested we contact them. We contacted Thermador and opened a claim. They asked us to get an invoice showing we purchased the cooktop new, verification of the diagnosis by their authorized repair center, and the new cooktop invoice and installation receipt. While I was gathering all of those invoices we received a call back saying they would not do anything to assist us because we hadnt contacted them to see if it could be repaired. In fact we had and contacted their repair center. We hadnt contacted while the problem had occurred. In fact we had and opened the claim the day the repair was being done. We even spoke with a supervisor [Vanessa] who simply said they do not help in these cases. If this is how they treat a customer who had purchased what we had [and all high end products] I cant imagine how they treat everyone else. There will be no Bosch or Thermador going back into our home.

I find myself running to buy more ice as everyone wants ice in their summer drinks. This was never an issue with the Whirlpool freezer I basically wore out after 20 years. ALWAYS had plenty of ice as the maker would make ice when the lever was down signaling low ice. If I had known this I probably would have bought something else... cheaper worked well. I called customer service and they said that this was the feature and nothing more could be done.

We have had multiple repairmen out, including Thermador themselves, and each time it costs between $250-$350 dollars to service. I tried speaking to upper management from Thermador several times and they basically ignored my issue and told me it was too bad and they would not replace the unit. It has never been misused, and is treated with kid gloves and kept very clean. I would NEVER EVER buy Thermador ovens and watch out for their terrible customer service.

I scheduled a repair over a month ago to repair my dishwasher. I took the day off to meet the service repairman. I called to confirm on the day of the appointment and I was told that the service tech did not have the part I needed, so I had to reschedule for two weeks later. When I called today to confirm, Thermador had not lodged the service order correctly and the service repairman still did not have the part we needed. I took the day off of work again today. I had to reschedule again for over a week for the next service call. I have now been without a working dishwasher for almost two months. The lack of concern here is really upsetting and I am out time and money because of the ineptitude of the Thermador Service department. I would think twice before ordering a Thermador appliance.

TO say I am disappointed in the Thermador Freezer and Fridge would be a understatement. This is a unit that is supposed to be on the same quality level as Sub-Zero and Wolf.... IT IS NOT!! The freezer is 50% icemaker. Meaning that unlike any other, the freezer space is 50% consumed by the Icemaker unit. The ice maker unit is the poorest, worse functioning that I have ever experienced! It clogs most every time used. It produces ice at such a slow rate. Most days by 2 pm it is out of ice. The quality of this very expensive built in is below what you would expect from even a Kenmore, (by this I mean I have never experienced problems with any other past owned freezers) like the failures and design flaws of this overpriced poor performing unit. I have had the service department out 4 times in 11 months. Even the logo fell off the door within 6 months of installation! Stick with wolf or sub-zero. If budget minded... GE Monogram would easily be better that this Thermador.

I have a Thermador double oven and warmer. In the past year, I have replaced the display, hinges, seal for over $1500. The oven display keeps losing the time. When my repair company, Complete Appliance, call customer service, they get no satisfactory answer as to why this is happening. They are frustrated and I am frustrated. I am building a new home and will not be using Thermador! If I were told from the beginning this cannot be fixed, I would have gotten a new oven. Instead I was told, Just replace this and the problem would be fixed. Thermador does not care about their customers once their product has been purchased. Shame on Thermador!

We purchased a Thermador convection 30 inch built in microwave double oven
We purchased a Thermador convection 30 inch built in microwave double oven when we did a complete remodel of our home back in 2001. The microwave broke the first day we used it. Broken glass ended up in my food. Service people replaced the glass, which subsequently broke again the second time we used the upper microwave. I was then informed by Thermador that the microwave actually was not meant to cook the food but just to keep it warm. I did not bother to fix the microwave again. The convection oven never worked welI. We tried multiple times and the food did not cook completely. The upper oven door is very heavy due to the combo microwave feature. The doors have broken three times over the years. We have replaced the hinges twice times since 2001: Once in Feb 2008 and again in Jan. 2014. We were informed by an independent service man that the Thermador hinges are defective and that the company has known about this for years but has failed to inform the consumer. The new hinges that I just purchased apparently are the same defective hinges that I purchased prior. The company has made better hinges because the doors are too heavy, but they do not sell these to consumers. All I asked Thermador was to replace the defective hinges with the improved version but they refused. When our oven broke on New Years Eve, we had a house full of guests. Our oven was 350 degrees and would not close would not close, and it was a hazard to our guests. Our neighbors helped us tie up the oven with rope to keep it from burning the children. We feel strongly that the Thermador oven is an inferior product.

Im on my 3rd Thermador full package in my 3rd house. Same pkg 3 times w/ some upgrades: Pro Harmony range, Pro fridge, Top of the line Sapphire dishwasher, microwave drawer, hood. $25k+. The 1st pkg was good. The 2nd pkg had issues w/ the range. Spark units were intermittently working. Repaired, worked fine. Dishwasher recalled electrical shocks or leaks. Dont remember. Microwave/dishwasher made by Bosch worked well. Now 3rd pkg. Fridge auto door assist mostly doesnt work. Replaced parts-still doesnt work. Gave up. The range is THE WORST! Ive had 12 repair calls.. 4 of 6 burners are blasting like blow torches since day 1. Theyre super loud. The repairman said tech support told him Its supposed to be like that. I appealed because my last one didnt do that. Thermador told me to convince the boss to help even tho she agreed that theres something wrong with it. This is ridiculous! After replacing almost every part in the range w/ 12 service calls. Countless phone calls! 4 burners still blast like blowtorches. I memorized the model # PRG366, $6300. Replaced regulator twice. Gas company checked pressure twice. I need a replacement, but Thermador isnt helping. The PRG366 at my last house on the same street didnt do this.

Trying to keep it brief, we purchased a new home in February and started a remodel project which included the replacement of all of the appliances, among them a 30 Thermador natural gas range. The appliances were installed the beginning of September. Imagine our surprise when the oven wouldnt work. We called the retailer and couldnt get call backs from them. We contacted Thermador directly who provided numbers for authorized repair representatives in our area. Two visits, safety gas valve and igniter replaced and we still have no oven. The third repair visit is scheduled for 10/1/15.

The third time the inside glass shattered inside the oven, they told me Thermador will be sending an engineer from the New Jersey area to come and see the problem with this door on this model. I am still waiting. It has been 4 years and I had to replace the door myself. However, the glass has cracked inside shortly after replacement and I continue to use it with broken glass. This unfortunately does not give an accurate oven temp because there is not a seal. So dissatisfied with Thermador for not backing their products. All I want is a new door oven that does not break at high temps.

Given that we are good clients, we proposed they offer the parts for free we will pay the labor. After 2 calls, they asked for a written request which we did. After waiting 3 weeks for an answer, we called back to be told that the decision had been given the following week, but they are too busy to call their clients back. After reading all the reviews of others who were also misinformed as I in thinking that buying an overpriced Thermador appliance would be providing me with at least a reliable product and some form of customer service. This confirms that Thermador is not all that it thinks it is. I also attempted via email to contact the CEO of Thermador. I have wrote several emails/letter to Customer Service and its like I dont exist. My Freezer/Fridge unit was purchased 2017 and within a month I has calling for a repair and it has been ongoing issue. I have to treat my $10,000 freezer as if owned a 1920 ice box freezer and manually remove everything and chip out the built up ice. This is the sacrifice I need to do so that I can maybe enjoy ice when it decides to produce some. Thermador has decide to abandoned their customers so we can make sure that we can share our experience with as many Thermador potential customers and save them from also being mislead. Word of mouth (internet/social media) is very effective. I am very interested in starting a Class Act Suit against Thermador. **

I have a 48 inch professional Thermador Range. Model # PG486GEBS/12. It came with the house when we purchased it. The house was new construction in 2007. Since the first year that we have had it, it has broken 14 different times and we have spent nearly $8,000 repairing it. The burners have broken a number of times. They wouldnt light at all. Ive replaced the simmer kits at least 5 times. The oven has also broken at least 5 times. Needed spark modules. Then there was the oven door latch that locked itself 4 times. Ive needed control board kits at least 2 times as well. Its a dual oven. It would turn itself off and not heat or it would not ignite at all. The burners on top would short out all of the time. I work full time and if we use the burners or the oven twice a week, that would be a lot. I finally got wise and called Thermador and they were awful and unhelpful. Last year, they did replace the parts for the burners for free but it took months for me to get them to actually send the parts. I had to provide more documentation than the Warren Commission had on JFKs assassination. This time around, the oven is broken again and needs an $800 repair. They offered to send me replacement parts for 50% of the cost, even though we have had nothing but problems. I declined their offer and am ripping this piece of garbage out of my house. They do not stand behind their products and the people that repair this appliance have stopped selling Thermador products completely. They look nice but are garbage. Do not spend the money on their ranges.

I was led into buying a complete Thermador kitchen when I remodeled. I got top of the line Thermador Freedom tower fridge/freezer at $6000, 40 double oven at $3000, stainless dishwasher, forget price, and a range top. The stove top is the only one still functioning after three years. Every other unit has failed multiple times, both in and out of warranty. None of the issues were ever addressed by Thermador. The oven was so broken I got a credit card refund after a long dispute over 18 months after the purchase date. As a software engineer, I can tell that all these problems are from poorly written software. The behavior is characteristic of inexperienced developers and poor error handling. I contacted the Western US distributor director and suggested that he contact me if he wanted some objective feedback on the oven problems.I had a conference call with Thermador engineers and they truly had no idea how an oven controller is supposed to work. They claimed that the oven knew better what temperature to use than the user and as such it never got hot enough. Apparently, it second-guesses the cook and decides on some other temperature based on a combination of sensor readings. The freezer failed after about 14 months when the ice maker unit self destructed and was going to cost 40% of a new freezer to fix. I declared time of death on the fridge when the main controller ceased communicating with any of the peripherals. I had been diligently replacing them as they failed but once the brain died, it was over, too much money to replace. The dishwasher, well, who ever thought a dishwasher needed an on/off button? With Thermador, you need one so you can reboot it frequently when it locks up. I guess this is the least problematic unit. All the plastic gizmos for flip up trays, etc. have all broken off in the the first six months. OK, I lied, this ones still working. 1 out of 3, after a > $10K outlay. Never again.

When we remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago we purchased Thermador appliances - 2 ovens, an induction stovetop, and a dishwasher. I called for repairs on the ovens right away. They did not cook to temperature. Sometimes it takes me twice as long to cook a recipe. When making cookies and the recipe say 12 minutes, I set the trimmer for 16. When the repair man got there he told me that I needed to learn to cook again and that the times on recipes were not right. I told him that if an oven cooked to temp, then if they say it is done in 30 minutes, then it should be. I was told that, This is the way German engineers wanted it. I guess they do not want their appliance to work accurately. So we called the factory show room in Burlingame and attended their cooking class. I kept asking them about my problem with the ovens not being on temp. There I was told that I needed to look up on a chart the weight of our food and what type of food it is to determine the cooking time and temp. I was told to never just turn the oven on but to always use the fast preheating setting. This is hog-wash. To this day my ovens do not cook to temp and baking anything is a gamble. I have been very disappointed with my Thermador ovens.

Since installing my new kitchen two months ago with the Thermador package of appliances I have had TWO major problems.1. After having the appliance taken out of the box and install (plugging in) my refrigerator, neither the fridge or freezer got colder than 70 degrees. I called Thermador and they walked me through steps to resolve the problem but to no avail. Thermador proceeded to refer me to two contracted repair services on Oahu. In the meantime I called the Authorized distributor (Servco Appliance Company) and informed them of the problem. They were able to expedite the service (and that was a week later). The service people came out and pushed the same buttons as well as read the manual, coming to the conclusion that my refrigerator was not working and would have to order parts...not having any idea what part! The next morning I got a call from the service company and was told the same thing and was told they would have the parts expedited and it would take 5 days to come in. In the meantime I called Servco and demanded that they get me a new (in the box) refrigerator. FIVE weeks later while waiting for my New refrigerator I received a call from ACE Appliance repair service saying they had just received the parts. I told them to forget it and contacted Servco for and update on my new refrigerator. Eight weeks after the service call, I finally got my new appliance. Now I have noticed a condensation problem on the side of the freezer door.2. Two and one half weeks ago my newly purchased Thermador built in oven stopped working. Error code E118. I must have used the oven 6 times since installing it, the same time as the original frig. I called Thermador again and was walked through the reset procedure (turn the 220 breaker switch off for 5 minutes then turn back on). This had no effect on the problem... it took 10 days to get a service man out here. Again we went through the whole thing again. He called Thermador and he was told E1108 meant a problem with the fan and it had to be replaced. I new that even before he walked in the door. Just google it!!!!!! I am told that NO PARTS are stocked in Hawaii and at a minimum it will take another 2 weeks before he comes out again....That is over a month without an oven and the clock is ticking on the warranty. I would not recommend this brand as they have no credibility.

It’s a horrible oven and the worst customer service - poor controls, unreliable and poor response from customer service. The bottom line: no, I would not recommend this to a friend. This Thermador ME301E[S] wall oven is the bane of our lives. The interface panel had been replaced and still the oven did not work. The call to the Thermador supervisor took a week to get back to me. They would not take the $250.00 memory panel back even though that was not the cause of the self-clean operation as suggested by their authorized repair person. The oven would cease heating without notification on the display. Customer Service for Thermador is worse than anyone I have ever dealt with. The oven was serviced a number of times for other parts. We moved into our home in 2007. Previous owner had just redone kitchen, went high end on appliances not knowing they were going to have job transfer. Recently Thermador downdraft fan stopped working properly. Figured it was out of warranty by now, I took a look to see if it was a switch I could replace - discovered it had a circuit board. I was shocked to see that the circuit board had started to melt along with the wires leading to it. I called Thermador, said I knew it must be out of warranty by now - but it seemed like a defect in manufacturing or design flaw and a fire hazard. After many calls, Thermador reluctantly agreed to send someone at their expense to diagnose. The technician informed me it happens all the time.I maintain for the amount of money spent on this type of product one should expect it to last longer than five or six years, and of all the appliances I have ever owned, it is the only one that has ever had a part that melted and posed a fire hazard. Thermador refuses to make good - it is out of warranty and it is normal wear and tear. I recorded my last conversation with Thermador. The audio, as well as pictures of the melted circuit board and wires and a video of it sparking and smoking can be found on you tube under the user **. I now have a stove in the middle of the kitchen with no ventilation. I want others - who own one of these or are contemplating the purchase of one - to understand the risk and I would like the Thermador to remedy the situation. I have not yet explored whether I am limited to a Thermador brand based on the dimensions of the hole in the granite countertop.

I spent $3629 on a Thermador C272ZS double wall oven in October 2003. It has never worked correctly since that time, despite more than a dozen service calls from factory authorized reps, some in warranty and some since warranty ended. Perpetual F33, F34 and, more recently, F24 error codes. It turns off on its own, the interior lights blink on and off on their own, and now this incessant beeping about an hour after cooking has ended. Interior cooking temp is always off by about 30% verified with oven thermometer. The thing frightens me enough that I turn off the breaker when leaving for more than a day. No one seems to be able to fix it. There are countless complaints about this problem on-line and it seems as though the company should compensate owners. I am in the middle of my move and eager to be settled. It is defective and I tried calling your service line. After being on hold over 25 minutes Teresa answered the line and was brusque in manner. She informed me that I could wait until September 22 for service. That is quite a distance away, so I asked for an alternative. She said I could call one other authorized service technician in the Los Angeles area that is permitted to service your brand. I am unfamiliar with this process so I asked if it is I that would call, and if your company would be taking care of the payment, and she replied “if you would let me finish I would tell you”. I was merely asking about the process. SO rude. I thought you were meant to be a luxury brand.Certainly your call center missed the service piece of that experience. I said that I was “trying to get clear about the process and that she needn’t be rude about it- that I was unfamiliar with this process as I had not done it before”. Teresa curtly answered that if I didn’t like her manner that she would turn me over to another agent and before I could protest she promptly hung up on me. I am frankly appalled and I plan on putting this company on blast all over the internet for the lack of service, and ridiculous treatment.I have an expensive product that is defective, am in the middle of a move, and am merely trying to get something fixed. I spent THOUSANDS on what Id expect to be high end appliances which included a column fridge/freezer/wine cooler, ovens, range and range hood. From day one when the installer came to install, parts were missing, for the freezer, the range hood had parts that were not correctly fabricated, the fridge had broken trays as well as a faulty motor which operates the push door for opening and closing. Contacted CS to explain and have them resolve. They sent a Tech out to verify the issues. He said the parts would to be ordered. This was in May and now we are in June and I still do not have these resolved. In my first follow up call, I was told the parts had arrived and I should be receiving a call from the Tech to schedule an appointment. A week late, no call so I called CS again and asked to speak to a Supervisor. I was told the part never came and he didnt know why I was told it had. He then proceeded to tell me the part is still on order and it may take another few weeks. In the meantime, one of the parts (fridge tray) had been in the Techs possession way back in June. I proceeded to ask if the Tech could come and install the tray but was told that it would cost Thermador an unnecessary expense and they would send the Tech out once the other parts are received. He made no attempts to accommodate nor had sympathy.Considering all the crap that I have experienced, and patiently, I expected far more service and accommodation than was given. I purchased high-end appliances at a high cost expecting top-rated service, but it has not been anywhere near that. Its one thing to have bad products but to have horrific service too!!! From the reviews Ive read on this site, it appears Im not alone.

Thermador Oven ME ll0: I just ruined an expensive coffee cake that I was making for company that is arriving tomorrow. After increasing the temperature by 25 degree and baking an extra 15 minutes, it appeared to be done by testing with a toothpick. After wanting 10 minutes to turn the cake out the middle was raw. We purchased the oven October 2014 and experienced problems with the temperature. The service man came out in November and replaced the motherboard but this did not fix the problem. It is sad to say that if I could afford a new oven, this oven would be the trash tomorrow. We owned a Thermador Oven from 2005 until we moved in 2013 and it was a wonderful oven. Not so with this one and will advising everyone I know not to buy any Thermador appliances.

I thought I would pay more and receive a better quality oven. I purchased double ovens - Thermador and am extremely unhappy. They both stopped working after about 10 uses. Thermador customer service was useless, telling me I had to get a repair company here before they’d consider paying. These ovens were installed late August 2019! Cannot get anyone here for a week. Do not buy Thermador both because of poor quality and nonexistent customer service.

Two and a half months ago my CIT365DS induction cook-top displayed an F0 error code. Two burners are out. I repeatedly called tech support and they couldnt find an authorized repair tech in my area. After 2 months I finally got a call from South Carolina telling me that I am on my own in finding someone to service my cook-top. I have the name of the Thermador service technician in Huntington Beach, Ca who for three weeks failed to call the one person left who is qualified to repair this thing. I even spoke with this Thermador technician last week and he assured me that he would call the service company in Port Angeles and arrange a service call. He failed miserably in making that call. I have never run across a company that holds customer satisfaction in such little regard. Yes, I am angry.

At what point do you help intervene to get Thermador to recall their piece of junk ovens? There are over 220 complaints on your website about the fact that the ovens overheat and shut off during cooking with the various error codes. I have had F24 and F25 consistently for the past 10 years with the display panel, 2 sets of hinges, and the broiler element all having been replaced by me. I would really like someone from Consumer Affairs to look into these Thermador touch panel ovens. Mine is the c302, for which I spent over $4000 on.

These stoves are expensive. They’re supposed to work. There is supposed to be rapid customer service. The griddle is calibrated on both sides. It’s not. The stove goes up to high temps or can’t keep the temp. The range and wall ovens reset. It is supposed to be a motherboard issue. I’m very frustrated as we can’t cook. Family of six and we can’t cook. The stove turn off in the middle of the bake or resets or can’t keep the temp. If it does t lock up and you can’t open the door.

I installed a 5 burner Thermador luxury optioned gas cooktop around 24 months ago. After repeated expensive repairs, scary operating issues and very poor customer support as so many here already reported, this cooktop was slightly modified and plopped into our outdoor poolside entertaining area. At least it couldnt burn anything serious down to the ground out there. Like our house.. The burner ignition problems started after a few months. Followed all the advice in the manuals and from Thermadope call center zombies; tried to arrange service calls, different techs came out several times over the ensuing months and replaced ignition modules and other parts. The appliance just kept failing to operate. After enough frustration, I bought a cheap Chinese gas cooktop that had great reviews and swapped the Thermador clunker out. No problems with cheapo cooktop at all. Ever. Before I chucked the Thermador luxury boat-anchor into the recyling bin, I thought, what the hell, I’ll try to repurpose it. First thing I did was measure the temperature inside the cooktop while a couple of burners were on for about 20 minutes. Incredibly, it was running over 150°C inside where the electronics were located! Even if Thermador used high-temperature military or space grade components, it was still WAY too hot for any electronics to survive in there very long in those conditions. I waved goodbye to any hope of salvaging a normal operating cooktop with a Frankenstein electronics transplant. So, I removed all the cooktop electronics and wiring in a few minutes with some wirecutters, plopped it into the old cooktop opening place by our pool and now use a dollar-store butane igniter to fire up my castrated ‘luxury’ Thermador cooktop. Having it by my pool makes me look a lot richer than I am! ????

We remodeled our home of twenty-plus years and bought a 30 Thermador Pro Harmony gas range. One of the first times we used the oven we accidentally spilled some liquid on the front of it with the oven door open - it shorted out a circuit board that should have been protected. This was fixed very quickly under warranty and had no further problems with it.Sold that house and bought another that needed a whole new kitchen. Bought a 36 Thermador Pro Harmony range and love it, no problems at all so far 1.5 years later. Along with that got the free dishwasher, Thermador though its made by Bosch, works beautifully, quiet. Also have the 36 Thermador French Door, bottom freezer refrigerator with NO in-door water or ice to keep things simple. Its gorgeous, with brilliant LED lighting and lots of storage. With it came the free range hood that is strong and has good lighting, easy to clean grease filters. To finish things off we purchased the Thermador drawer microwave which we were a little leery of, but have grown to love it. No more awkward reaching into a wall-mounted unit, we pluck everything out of the drawer! No turn-table but do not miss it.The 36 range has very flush grates making it easy to move pots around. The burners are very strong with great low simmer capabilities. The oven works well with roller bearing glides on the racks making them a breeze to pull in and out, even with the Thanksgiving turkey. Would definitely recommend Thermador to anyone, given our experience.

This 48 Range #PRD48JDGU has been giving me problems since I purchased it. At two months old the small oven went out. Then the control panel needed to be replaced. Then right front burner had to be replaced. Next Left front burner had to be replaced. Now the small oven fan wont turn off, and door will lock and unlock. I had to turn off entire unit. For fear that its going to cause a fire. Customer Service is a joke. They put you on hold forever. I really believed in this company. But I guess because they have been around 100 years. I purchased my complete set of Thermador appliances back in 2006 and installed them in my new kitchen in 2007. In August of this year 2014 the fridge/freezer stopped working and after 2 months of dealing with their customer support and technicians it still doesnt work. I had to purchase a used one off of Craigslist as a temporary just to get by. After several phone calls and much complaining they finally offered to replace it but only if I could show my original receipt/proof of purchase, which of course I can’t find and the dealer is out of business. To add insult to injury I had to pay them just under $900 for labor to have their unqualified technicians come out 4 times. If I ever see the salesperson that talked me into this stuff I think I will punch him in the nose.

Thermador -Unless you enjoying seeing F-34 codes on the panel, do not buy! Their products are suppose to be a higher end brand of appliances and the cost goes right along with that. I have a Thermador built in double wall oven. I cannot tell you how many control panels I have had replaced at $486 each plus labor! Tack on the relay and touch panel replacements, Ive clearly spent more on the repairs than the outrageously priced oven. I had an authorized Thermador service company here. After following the advice of THERMADOR tech. (who was on speaker phone,) they decided to replace the control panel. That was done but it did not fix the problem. So now trying a display panel BUT once an electronic part is opened it cannot be returned. So $486 down the drain. When panel was connected something happened with electric and everything went out. Now they say I need relay, control and display! NO THANK YOU!!I have never written a negative comment on any appliance before and probably would not have bothered with this, but the poor customer service was worse than the actual horrible oven. When I called customer service, I can tell that she was not interested in what I had to say. All service call copies were emailed to the email address given with a case number she gave me. I followed up 3 days later and of course they said customer service gave me the wrong email address. Back to square 1. No working oven, in the middle of a pandemic with a family of 6 and only a cooktop and microwave. Thank goodness my cooktop is a Viking. Never had a service call on it. I am purchasing a new wall oven. I would love to drop this off at Thermadors doorstep. Purchasing a new oven. Needless to say it will not be a Thermador.

I have had a very disappointing experience with Thermador and apart from keeping an induction cooktop since my granite was already cut! I returned all of my other Thermador items. The dishwasher (included in a buy +2 appliance package) independently measured as high as 70dBA vs. the advertised 48dBA. The 30 micro/oven wall combination came (twice) with a misaligned oven door. It was confirmed to me, after the fact, by a Thermador customer service person that Thermador is actually shipping ovens with a known defect that supposedly has an easy fix of replacement hinges. The issue is that NO ONE seems to know this! Not the Tech nor the appliance store. So +7 hours and 3 technician visits later (with minimum of 2 weeks between visits as I as told there are ONLY 2 techs that service the entire Austin, TX metro area). I am done with Thermador. I live in fear that should I have ever have a maintenance issue with the induction cooktop I have a 50% chance of getting the technician that was rude, condescending to me, my contractor, my designer and carpenter. So let me get this straight -- THERMADOR, you want me to pay top $$$ for your appliances. Chances are they may arrive defective. No one will know how to fix them (who wants a new $5000 appliance to need to be fixed anyway?) and on yeah, have to wait +2 weeks for a technician to come into my home and insult me. It doesnt get any worse than that. Thermador if you are reading this - shame on you!!! Perhaps you need to take a page from the KitchenAid playbook on how to treat your customers that are spending a ton of money on your over-hyped products.

Thermador CM302 - We loved this oven for 10 years, then it started beeping for no reason and shutting down. We replaced the control panel twice because it was overheating and burning out due to a design flaw in this oven. We figured out that the cooling fan controls were not programmed to stay on after the oven turned off so the hot oven was burning out the adjacent panel. We tried limping along for a few years by turning the oven on to 100 degrees with the cook timer set to turn off in two hours in order to help the oven cool. This worked for awhile until we needed to heat both ovens above 400 for Thanksgiving. The oven died completely with fifteen guests waiting for turkey. I give thanks that my BBQ wasnt made by Thermador, which has been extremely useless, not even willing to pay for a service call in the event that the repair person was unable to fix the oven. This is an irresponsible company. Once you are out of warranty they do not stand behind their appliances, even if the problem is a design flaw. We will be buying our next oven elsewhere.

We recently purchased a new Thermador oven Model MSD301WS/01. The user interface is horrible as it uses a display panel that is located about 2 feet off of the floor and requires you to swipe the menu options (like a smartphone) to make your selections. I literally have to kneel down on the floor to read the display and the text swipes so quickly that I have to carefully swipe word by word to find what I want to do. I never thought that turning on an oven to bake something would be so difficult and uncomfortable! The oven comes with WiFi capability that is impossible to connect to your router. It is so bad (not even sure if it works) that there are 3 places you have to get instructions to try and connect it - the user manual, a special home connect instruction pamphlet, and the app you have to install on your smartphone. After spending several hours trying to connect to my router (I come from the IT industry) I finally called customer support. We spent almost an hour trying to get it connected while he gave me step by step instructions from 2 different instruction sources. We could never get it connected so we decided I need a service call. He told me that if the problem is due to connectivity from my router then I would have to pay for the service call. My router works fine but I think that this is really poor customer service! I discourage anyone looking at new ovens to buy this one. I will probably send mine back.

We have repeated failures of the blower motors on our oven. If the oven senses that either fan isnt spinning at nominal speed, the oven shuts down. Its a $500 bill every time one of the motors goes out ($300 service plus $200 for the part). The first went out barely a year after we bought the oven. The next went out later the same year. Barely a year later and one of the replacements is failing. Replacing the fan involves pulling the oven from the wall, no easy feat for the do-it-yourselfer.Note that sometimes a reset will work, at least temporarily. Thermador doesnt make the reset easy. You have to cut off power at the circuit breakers, turn power back on, then do the programming for date and time. Very frustrating if you have to do this several times hoping that fan will spin a bit faster on the next go around.

Recently, the part needed replacing and I used Thermadors official repair company, booked on the Thermador website. The initial estimate was $646.00, dismayed but determined to repair it (after careful consideration of replacement cost), I forged on. Leaking Brand New Thermador 36-Inch Built-In Refrigerator (KI KBM36US). Model Number: T361B900SP/09. FD: 9812. Serial Number: 100481. We moved into a new condominium in September 2020 with brand new high-end Thermador appliances which we paid a high premium for. We adored the brand and its sleek design. Unfortunately, the Thermador refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare for us. January 2021: It stopped cooling and became warm inside after barely 4 months of use. Feb 2, 2021: We created a ticket with our building management and the breaker was reset. Feb 9, 2021: The refrigerator was still not cooling so a service call was placed with Thermador. We were told that they are not on-site so we have to wait for an ETA but no one followed up. Feb 16, 2021: An urgent service call to Thermador. Feb 24, 2021: We were informed that a Thermador technician won’t be able to come until March 11 since they were so backed up. March 18, 2021: A Thermador technician finally came. He replaced the inverter board then quickly fled by saying “it’s fixed but takes a few hours to lower the temperature....” He never returned for follow up.April 2021: It is still not cooling. May 5, 2021: Second Thermador technician came and we were told that a new compressor is needed after he inspected the unit. We have to wait for the replacement part to arrive before they return. May 17, 2021: Third Thermador technician came back with a new compressor but he noticed a complete leak of refrigerant, which he determined to be the culprit (which probably makes sense since this refrigerator never worked in 2021 despite having reset and changed parts). We were told that we will likely be without a refrigerator for three months and repairing the fridge would take even longer till September. The technician did put in a request that the refrigerator be replaced as the leak is apparently in a difficult area to try to fix so no guarantee of functionality even after the repair in September. Both I and my wife have complex medical conditions requiring a modified diet but without a functional refrigerator for the last five months, we have largely relied on take-out three meals daily. As a result, our blood pressure and blood sugar have been significantly elevated during our last medical check-up. I am also on injectable insulin requiring refrigeration. I have relied on a small old refrigerator I borrowed since the Thermador malfunctioned in January and I am so worried that it will fail and ruin all my medications. We understand the delay related to the pandemic and we have been more than patient through the long daunting process. However, the service from Thermador has been completely incompetent and neglective, resulting in much hardship for our daily life, medical and mental health. It is absolutely unacceptable at this point and we request Thermador to replace the refrigerator as soon as possible!

The technician will charge $100 to come out and tell us that there arent any parts for this appliance because it is so old. Really, the customer service rep (and supervisor) think that this is completely acceptable since the lifetime of the appliance is about 14 years. Why pay so much money for something that will be replaced in that period of time? I have a Maytag washing machine that is 25 years old and the couple of times it needed repairs, I was never told that its so old, parts may not be available. Im writing to advise people that you may as well go with a cheaper brand that supports their product rather than a Thermador that considers their own brand disposable. Service is a disgrace. Model CM302 - Lovely double oven with all the bells and whistles. Shortly after purchase the oven would turn off during use for no apparent reason. Then after several minutes it would turn back on. As time passed it would turn off more frequently and stay off longer before turning back on. Sometimes we would push the control panel and it would turn back on. Finally it turned off and stayed off just as we were preparing Thanksgiving dinner. I have no plans on getting it serviced but if someone has had similar problems and has come up with an easy fix, I would like to know.

In 1993 a 30 dual fuel RDSS30 was installed in a custom home. We bought the house in 1998. Within 2 years the front panel would start to blink. This turned into the panel shutting down. We were told back then that we could not get the computer panel. My husband just happened to find a floor model of the same stove so we purchased another RDSS30 not realizing this was a chronic problem with Thermador. Within a year the computer panel would start blinking then the oven would just randomly shut off. We never even used the self clean feature being afraid the extra heat would make it worse. Now it is to the point where the number are so dim you cannot see them unless you are in the dark. The oven will not heat beyond around 300. It shuts off without warning. How can a 5 year old $5000 stove not be able to be fixed? There are outside companies that offer the service to rebuild the boards. So why cant Thermador? I will tell you why. They do not give a damn.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased Thermador appliances to the tune of $18,000. I cant remember being more disappointed. The $8000 refrigerator arrived with rust on the handles. The local service contractor sent by Thermador to replace the handles scratched the panel necessitating service visits 2 and 3 within our first few weeks of ownership. Not long after the panels were replaced, the ice maker stopped working. Three additional service visits later, we still dont have ice. Weve owned the appliances for a little over two months, have had six service calls, each requiring that we give a three hour window. The ice maker has worked a grand total of about 10 days in those two months. Calls to Thermadors customer service department prove to be most unsatisfactory as they dont return promised phone calls. Who knows if well ever get ice. Im thanking my lucky stars that we purchased the retailers extended service agreement for all our appliances. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your premium appliances as Thermadors customer service is undoubtedly not up to par for appliances in this price range.

I am an experienced baker of 35 years. We finally finished building our dream house and purchased a Thermador double oven in 2015. It has done nothing but ruin everything Ive baked. Had the service repairman out and was told I wasnt using the settings right. After using the times and settings according to the manual, baked goods turned out worse!I have wasted countless hours and ingredients trying to make something turn out right, adjusting temperatures, times, settings and rack placements. What a huge waste of money and disappointment with this oven. If I could afford to replace it, I would. No help from store we bought it from or Thermador manufacturing. Do not buy a Thermador oven. I would never recommend any products from this company after this experience. For many years, I baked in cheap ovens with great results. This $1,800 appliance has ruined my baking ability since we are now unable to replace it with something that works and unfortunately, it is built into the wall in an expensive cabinet.

BUYER BEWARE!! Do not buy this product. Own a 48 range and both ovens are continually broke. Indicator lights blew out, oven door does not close (on 2nd door). Temp is higher than on indicator. Whole kitchen smells like gas when turn on oven. Small oven does not heat. Called customer service and was told it is 10 yrs old and they are beyond life expectancy and she was no help and rude. You cannot get compatible parts. Do Not Buy Thermador - bad experience for me. Company does not back their products.

The overall performance was just as expected. It performed flawlessly. With its easy to use setup it was perfect for me and my family. There wasnt single thing on there that gave problems or had you questioning. Well for we paid for it its worth every penny we put down into it. I couldnt have been any more satisfied with it than I already am. I would recommend this brand to anyone and have already recommended to everyone I know. We have the stainless steel model with the side by side oven racks and double top cooking ranges and let me just say it looks absolutely stunning in my kitchen. Very sleek and modern look that would make any kitchen look spectacular. The overall size was just perfect for what I needed. Im able to cook multiple things at the same time without crowding my cook area. That goes for the oven and the ranges. If youre like me and have a big family and love to cook great food this is what youre looking for.

We purchased a brand new Thermador Range based on the fact that weve owned one in the past and loved it. Since we moved into our brand new house, the oven has not worked. They have sent a tech out four times to repair it and it has been three months and we still do not have a working oven. They have finally agreed to replace the oven but cant tell us when we will receive it. This company has horrible customer service and could not simply apologize and offer any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. We will never again purchase Thermador products based on their inadequate customer service skills. I finally spoke with a supervisor named Marie who said that she could send me a cutting board for my inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and purchase a Wolf Range rather than Thermador. We have a Subzero refrigerator and that company called to review how we like our fridge, what was our experience like and is there anything they could do to improve their service. Thats a company who truly cares and understands how to be successful. From now on I will only purchase Wolf/Subzero appliances.

The following information is based on MY observations pertaining to the new Thermador kitchen appliance product line (range, microwave, oven and dishwasher) that we purchased in March 2019 and had installed in our home in May 2019. The six burner range with a grill is beautiful and works as designed to work. The microwave has a timer function that you cannot use because the panel light times out thereby cancelling the timer you set for cooking needs (I’m told this is a design function that cannot be changed due to energy-savings guidelines). You have to press six (6) button options before it’s set and starts to warm up a cup of water or other warming/heating needs. There is no distinction in the sound coming out of it whether set at the lowest (1) or the highest (5). The volume control, while set at its lowest setting (1), is so very loud and can be heard throughout the entire house (I’m told this is a design function that cannot be changed). The oven works as designed to work, however, the volume control is similar to the microwave except in REVERSE; the sound is barely audible while set at the highest setting (5) which means you must remain in the kitchen to hear the timer go off indicating your food is ready to be checked and come out of the oven (I’m told that they’re working on a design fix due to consumer feedback and it could take several months to correct). The dishwasher manual encourages you NOT to rinse your dishes but to scrape the food off and allow the sensor to regulate the cleaning mode.Since it uses a condensation heat mode to dry your dishes it never seems to completely cool down and dry out inside the unit so the remaining food on the plate starts to decay and smell foul when you open the door. I had to purchase an old fashioned timer to set on the kitchen counter for cooking timing purposes, and warming up a midnight snack or a cup of water for tea in the morning are a thing of the past unless I want to wake everyone in the house up.
