I have the Dacor 30 all gas range in my house and it is the best. The grates take up the whole top surface of the stove area, so I have a ton of room to cook on. Basically, I can fit 4 giant pots on the stove at the same time, so Im ready anytime a chili cookout might break out. This is also super convenient during tamale season and soup season because I can put up to 4 giant stockpots on the stove simultaneously. In the event that I spill, its easy to remove the grates and give the surface a nice wipe up. As far as the oven, I totally rule the holiday season because I can fit up to 3 full size 18x36 catering sheets in at the same time, so basically, I can cook 4 dozen or more cookies in one shot, leaving me tons more time with family and friends than if I was baking 1 sheet at a time. Thank you Dacor!

We got a U43 relay error on our Dacor oven of 4 years. When we finally add up the cost to replace the part, it will exceed $500 and Dacors only response is, Sorry, it is out of warranty. Of course I do not understand why a relay board on an oven would short out after a few years. Not happy and would not recommend the manufacturer.

I spent a lot of money buying a Dacor double wall oven because it was supposed to be top of the line and dependable. Now, the circuit board needs to be replaced and the oven is just 5 years old! This seems absolutely ridiculous for an oven this young to have such a major problem! I am very upset about all the money I am going to have to spend to fix it. Ive never, ever had any oven problems with other brands like this in my life. We remodeled our kitchen and I thought I was getting something better and now I realize that this brand is not living up to my expectations at all! I am using an authorized Dacor repair company and they told me that they are seeing lots of problems with this brand. I do not recommend this oven to anyone.

We have a new (one year old) home with Dacor appliances. The microwave oven went on the blink the first month but was repaired by a factory approved repairman. Something to do with the computer. Now the double oven will not hold a temperature. We set the oven at 420 and it only goes to 360 even though the readout shows 420. We just decided to skip the repair process and bought a new Wolf oven. This is our second Dacor within the past two years and both have had the same problem. Dont waste your money.

We did a full reno on our house starting in 2018. With a brand new kitchen we felt higher end appliances would help finish it off nicely. We settled on Dacor from our appliance dealer due to the look a past history of great reviews. Had we known that the original Dacor no longer existed and it was now Samsung with Dacor nameplate we never would have bought them. We have had 15+ service calls for the fridge and oven. Oven didnt work from day one and required multiple board changes. The interior is not level so you cant bake a cake and the racks are impossible to remove without bending the rails. It just failed again last night just as the warranty expired. The call center is in the Caribbean so dont expect any help from customer service. The ice maker with the fridge is a continual problem so we had to buy an $100 ice maker that now sits on our counter full time. These appliances have a high end price tag but are not high end!

We moved in our new home in June 2019. We had purchased 2 Dacor dishwashers, 2 ovens, a gas cooktop and a microwave. All the appliances are beautiful. That said, both of our dishwashers leaked so bad we had to stop using them as they were damaging our wood cabinets and floor. Dacor sent service persons out after multiple calls and replaced the seals, but they still leaked. Our cabinet company that sold the Dacor appliances stepped up and replaced them both with Bosch dishwashers. Our Dacor Refrigerator went out in mid February and will not cool anymore. After 2 hours on the phone with a Dacor representative, we finally were able to schedule a service person to come out a week later (Dacor has very few support companies so dont plan on anything happening too soon when there is a problem). Was not able to repair the fridge and said it could be another two weeks to get the part and return. That said our service person is a great guy and cares, but has to rely and wait on Dacor for responses and parts. Our ovens take twice as long to cook as any other oven we have ever had. We are asking them to look into that as well. Overall, very disappointed. We understand having problems, but expect Dacor customer service would be much better and support their own field service persons and clients or at least act like they care. Not looking forward to calling them back to see why we need to be without a fridge for 3-4 weeks total....

Replaced main board on top of oven because of oven light turning itself off and on endlessly. Cost was near 400 dollars with service call. Now, 2 years later, F1 beeping nonstop, and we have to turn power off to stop it. Last night, the beeping started at 3 am! I would never buy another Dacor oven. The Dacor microwave has never been able to pop popcorn. Now the carousel is failing to rotate. The only thing positive about Dacor is the styling.

I first bought the low-end Dacor dual fuel range and overhead microwave oven. Within the time frame of 3 years, repairs to the stove cost over $2,500. The stove cost $1,800. Ever single piece of plastic on the stove cracked and had to be replaced multiple times. The microwaves handle cracked 6 times, twice in one week. The overhead trim, which is about 30 by 6 and heavy, fell off and hit me in the head while I was frying bacon. If it had hit the pan of hot grease, I would have been burned. I contacted Dacor and got the brush off. I contacted Fight Back with David Horowitz about the problem. Dacor called me back, bowing and scraping, and we came to an agreement that they would take back the stove and microwave and put the full cost towards an upgrade to their high end model. I am sure you think I was stupid but the stove cooked beautifully and I thought a stove with no plastic trim pieces would solve the problem. Wrong! The microwave control panel has gone out twice, each repair costing around $350. The handle broke 4 times but that was covered under warranty. The front control panel has died 3 times (another $350 each time). The broiler dies each time the self-clean is used and that has been fixed 3 or 4 times. Some computer board on the top of the stove has died (another $400). The enamel lining inside has cracked, crazed, chipped off and rusted. Now, the front control panel has died and so has the one on the microwave. Times are very tough for us now and I cant afford to get them fixed. I noticed that the front panel trim on the top of the microwave is starting to pop out again (plastic fatigue). Hopefully, it will fall off again while I am cooking and hit me in the head and knock some sense into me. If it does happen, I will take them to court.

Epicure Range, wall oven, microwave and fridge - When remodeling our kitchen in 2010, an appliance salesperson gave us a good deal on the entire set. We spent $20k on the Dacor appliances. BIG MISTAKE! Do not ever buy anything Dacor. We have issues with every single one. Where do I start? The ovens have gone out three times now and I have had to replace the main panel, now it will not heat at all. The refrigerator 42 built-in is a big piece of crap! We have had it serviced 4-times for everything. The entire fridge freezes over due to a design flaw. The fan in the freezer completely ices over. The ice door broke. The crushed ice broke. The plastic door for the butter broke. The shelves broke. The microwave has had issues and has had to be fixed. The oven temps were wrong. Fixed those myself thanks to YouTube. When talking to the service guy he said that these are cheap appliances with the Dacor badge, so you have to spend big bucks to buy them and big bucks to repair! Do yourself a favor and if you are thinking of Dacor run! I contacted Dacor and they are even worse to deal with. They did not care that their appliances are very unreliable. Never received a return call, email, or even a letter.

I purchase a home with a Dacor double oven. Unfortunately the oven begins transmitting multiple beeps and the touch panel will sometimes read off after beeping a while. I contacted the staff at Dacor requesting a service manual. They refused to send me a service manual and stated that only authorized technicians can service their equipment. Its obvious they used google or a local phone book and sent me contacts of appliance repair shops in my area. When I called, they had never heard of Dacor let alone be factory authorized. I called Appliance repair shops up to 50 miles away to find there were no Dacor Dealers. I found one 70 miles away but it was too far to send a technician. If I remove my oven from the wall and take it there they would attempt to look at it. I had to reverse engineer the thing to find that my touch panel has gone bad and now I cannot find a used one. I want to recommend that anyone considering an appliance DO NOT PURCHASE A DACOR! If you are looking for high end stick to SubZero / Wolf. Oddly enough I see that there hasnt been any reviews for the past 5 years. Maybe it appears people have stopped buying Dacor appliances.

Stylish products with amazing performance. Originally, I wasnt very familiar with Dacors luxury appliances. However, I saw some of their new products and decided to take plunge. Glad I did! I bought a 36 French Door refrigerator for the house and I love the features and performance of this fridge. The fresh zone adjustable drawer can go colder than the standard refrigerator compartment, so I keep it at just below freezing for my beer and champagne. Makes ice super quickly and I feel that the produce also lasts longer. Overall, very happy with this purchase and when I do a full kitchen remodel, I will be considering their cooking products as well.

I purchased a Dacor Renaissance range for our new home. What a waste of money. Though I have not had any major problems with the performance of the range yet, besides uneven baking, the design is not user-friendly. To begin with, the gas burners share a grate. So when cleaning, you have to remove the whole grate on one side. The controls for the burners & griddle are very hard to see & I have to bend over to see which burner Im turning on. The oven racks are a joke. The two glide racks are very bulky with sharp edges. It is difficult to change the heights or to remove them for cleaning purposes. Though there are three racks included, it is impossible to bake with all three in the oven.I have a GE Monogram that I had purchased two years ago for another home, and I love it The Renaissance & Monogram are similar in price, but I unfortunately, listened to the sales person & let them talk me into the Renaissance. I realized my mistake in buying a Dacor immediately & contacted the appliance store. Even though the Renaissance had not been used, they would only give me a token amount of money towards trading it in for a Monogram. So, I am stuck with a range that causes me to swear under my breath every time I use it. Dacor could learn a lot from GE.

I'm just writing about the Dacor fridge. We've had the fridge for about 6 months and its amazing. It can fit so many items..we tend to buy a lot from Costco and everything fits in the fridge and freezer no problem. My two favorite things are the fresh drawer and auto fill water pitcher. The fresh drawer temp can be adjusted based on what you want to place in there. Wines, cheeses and we've even stores desserts in there. And the auto fill water pitcher means no one has to remember to fill it up. Small detail but so nice to have. Definitely recommend this fridge.

I did a kitchen remodel in 2008 and was convinced by the sales guy at Home Expo to go w/ the Dacor over the Wolf. I bought the dual-fuel 36... Within 2 years I had serious problems. The oven, when not on Convection Roast or Con Bake, just using Bake will consistently turn itself off... Ive ruined many a meals, usually big ones: Turkey, Prime Rib(long cook time items). This was by far my most expensive investment in my kitchen and by far my biggest disappointment. I have called Dacor in the past and was told they could refer me local repair people, I was on my own for fixing it. Again, huge disappointment.

We purchased a very expensive Dacor double convection oven about 15 years ago. This was based on recommendations from friends who do a lot of cooking like we do, and the mistaken thought that this US company would be more inclined to support any future problem. We now have a problem with the control panel. Dacors only response is that they do not make the part anymore and cannot help us remedy the problem. They even had the nerve to say that they would give us 10% off a new one. Except for the annoying buzzer sound, the stove works well. Buying a new one is a financial burden we never expected or want to accept. We are telling all of our friends to stay away from this manufacturer. I wish I did not have to give Dacor any stars.

Most of my life, Ive always bought pretty low end appliances, and theyve always worked pretty well. When we remodelled our kitchen, we decided to go with a high end Dacor stove, and its been nothing but trouble. After just a few weeks, the igniters started to fire constantly on some burners. It was still under warranty, but it was very hard to find someone to honor the warranty. We got that fixed, then the oven light started to come on and off randomly. After our experience with the first problem, we just disconnected the light and let it go. A few months later, the bottom shelf jammed, and there was no way to collapse it to fit in the oven. This product is total junk. Dont buy it!

We purchased our range (Dacor Dual Fuel Range RSD30) in about 1997 thinking we had a good investment. We have replaced the bezel 5 times (the area that encloses the control area). Today the door glass has cracked. Whooppee! Merry Christmas! Each time I called about the bezel, I was told that they had a design flaw. The last time we had to replace the bezel and also pay for installation ourselves. We decided if this happened again, we would get rid of it. Well, it will be sooner than later as the oven glass has cracked. Needless to say, we are not return customers.

I purchased all Dacor products. First Dishwasher went out, had purchased warranty. Came out 6 times to fix it, filed complaint with Better Business Bureau. Finally got dishwasher replaced with a Kitchen Aid. Thank God for the BBB. They help people. Then my stand alone range with 6 burners had one of the burners go bad, the appliance co. fixed it. Then the oven relay board went defective. Had to order part over $400.00, no warranty. Then wall oven Relay Board went out, 2016. Paid over $460.00.Less than 12 months later relay board went out again. They said Sorry, no warranty. Ordered part said it was $500.00 + to replace. The appliance repair tech ordered wrong relay board. They called me today and now said its going to cost $650.00, no warranty. Do not buy Decor products. They are horrible. I bought a Dacor dual-fuel range in 2002 for my new house. Within 18 months, the control panel on the front had shorted, causing the stove to emit a continuous beeping. I got this repaired, and was advised that I should not use liquid cleaners on the stove! Two years later, the same thing happened again. Finally, about 4 years ago, another fault developed in the 3rd control panel, the circuit controlling the oven lights will not respond to touch, and the oven lights switch on and off continuously. Not prepared to pay for yet another control panel replacement, I switched off the power to the stove at the main fuse box. I have continued to use the gas cooktop only, lighting it with an ignition wand. The Dacor stove is only part-functional due to what is obviously a severe design fault in the front touch control panel, which causes the panel to short. I switch on the power to the unit twice a year to use the oven at Thanksgiving and Christmas for large roasts. This stove was a very expensive mistake. Luckily, I have a second (Wolf) oven in my kitchen, which I use instead for everyday cooking.

As I have read in most of the reviews, we have also experienced the control panel on our 30 inch dual range cracking over the years. We were told not to replace it because it would continue to happen. Ok, lived with that... Now something new has started to happen, the plastic handle on the oven door and surrounding area has started to melt. It got so bad after a self clean that it is collapsing. Now there isn’t much of a seal at all when the door closes. The stove isn’t brand new, but this has to be a fire hazard, and consequently, now the oven will not even turn on. I’ve reached out to Dacor with no response yet. I’m done with this company!

We bought a new house a couple years ago, and the kitchen came with a suite of new Dacor appliances - range, fridge, and dishwasher. They are all terrible. The led indicator on the dishwasher is scrambled. The icemaker in the fridge clogs up into a solid block of ice. We had this fixed, which involved a new control board and some caulking, but the problem returned not long after. The knobs on the range feel like theyll snap off any time. The lights in the oven arent seated properly and they interfere with the oven racks. It takes forever to get up to temperature. And Im starting to think I have a gas leak. How can these products be so expensive and such utter garbage? Oh, but they have wifi!

Im reading all these reviews and my story mirrors them all... I have actually contacted a lawyer and am considering either a lawsuit or going to small claims court because, at this point, its cheaper than continuing with repairs every other year. Has no one else considered a lawsuit under your states lemon law? Appliances are usually covered. I purchased the MORD230 wall oven in 2008... It was purchased as a second oven to my 6-burner Wolfe to cook a turkey or roast during the holidays. It has been used no more than 24 times... I have gone through 2 control panels and am now having glitches with the third. After doing a self clean recently the whole heating element blew - it will not heat at all. I am able to enter the temp but the oven just runs and runs and never heats. I have called Dacor furious for how many times this thing has broken in relation to how many its been used... They have offered parts at a reduced rate but I am not sinking another dollar in this oven on labor and parts only for it to break again. I asked for my money back and told them to come and get the piece of garbage they sold me. Do yourself a favor and buy a Wolfe... It works beautifully... My only problem was the cast iron grates rusted a bit recently... I called their customer service and was on the phone for no more than 5 minutes and they overnighted me a whole new set no questions asked! Dacor customer service has been a nightmare - so much back and forth... I tell everyone I know... DO NOT buy Dacor!!!

We purchased a DACOR double wall oven (MOH2275) in April 2012. We are waiting for service to arrive for the fourth time since we purchased the oven. I find this unacceptable. We have had 2 other ovens in the last 30 years and they did not need any service. In general I have found appliances to be of such reliability that I dont get extended warranties. DACOR gave a 3 year warranty on this oven and now I know why. Hopefully this service will fix it for a long period of time.On the positive side, the oven really works well. It is so well insulated that we feel very little heat coming off it. One serious flaw its overall operation is the reheating of the oven. If I bake something at 350 degrees and then want to reset the over to 450 degrees, the oven does not go into preheat mode and does not let you know when you reach the required temperature. I am hopeful this will last awhile and not have to be replaced for what we paid for it.

We had our whole kitchen renovated and purchased Dacor appliances through Caplans Appliances. We purchased the appliances in the summer of 2019 and they were shipped shortly after. Since our kitchen was still under construction the appliances sat in our home. They were installed the second week of November. Two months ago, I woke up to a sucking noise from the dishwasher. The dishwasher had a code of LC. We removed the custom kick plate to realize that there was water damage. Dacor has been contacted on numerous occasions regarding this and the dishwasher continues to leak. We have had 5 service calls to house and the problem persists. The seal has been replaced twice in a 2 week period. The repair company HARGTA gives us a window and does not show up at that time causing me to sit around all day waiting for them and then some days having to cancel work. Dacor customer service continues to say the Regional Tech Manager will be the one to provide the resolution and we have not heard from them yet. The reviews on here clearly indicate that the dishwasher leaks. We are risking damaging our floors which were put in at the same of our renovation. Looking for a resolution ASAP. To those considering Dacor appliances do your research.

In 2013 we remodel our kitchen. I need a 30" stove and Dacor seem the right fit. I had problem with the igniter burning on that stove and some metal warp as well. They replaced the stove in 2015. I smell gas every time I turn oven on. Last Thanksgiving 2019 the stove stop working. I was told the igniter had burned out and had it replaced. I had repairman come twice because of smell and end January 2020 the stove stop working again. The repairman told me that a jet burner assembly was never installed this is why I smell gas after it is turn on. ** They said they will order the part. It's back order So I contact Dacor. First they told me it's back order then give me a supplier. If it was never installed in the unit shouldn't Dacor take care of it and soon.

We purchased this oven/cooktop was installed in February 2020. I have been unhappy with the performance of the smaller oven from the beginning. It takes 20 minutes to pre-heat, a loud fan starts to run partway during the pre-heating process and then warm air starts to flow out the bottom. Plus, it is not either holding the correct temperature or not reaching it completely, nothing I cook in there is done in a appropriate amount of time. Baking a small potato takes an hour and a half at 375, brownies take almost twice the approximate baking time. My attempts to contact them have been less than satisfactory. I wrote for a second time over two weeks ago providing a copy of the invoice and have still heard nothing. I am quite disappointed with this product & company.

We moved into our home in 2012 and have had nothing but problems with our Dacor refrigerator (Dacor Model EF48DCBSS). Our issue is the drain pan heater AGAIN. This problem is, water that collects in the drain pan freezes and eventually builds up to a point where the fan motor starts hitting it, sounding like a helicopter landing in your kitchen! Weve had this problem repaired THREE times by TWO DIFFERENT repair companies to the tune of $1000. Both repair technicians said it was a design flaw and this problem would continue to happen regardless of how many icing kits were replaced. So a $7000 refrigerator will cost us $1000 a year to keep running?!?!?! After much research, its apparent we are not alone with this problem. We also had a Dacor microwave just STOP working (model #DMT2420S). It was only 8 years old. Our Dacor oven range (model #ER48DSCH) has two ovens and only one side retains the heat. The main side gets to about 300 degrees and then the temperature starts dropping. Here is the breakdown of costs for our so called high end appliances. Dual Fuel Range - $10000, refrigerator - $7000 (annual repairs of $1000), microwave - $500 (had to purchase new microwave $600). PLEASE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE AND DO NOT PURCHASE DACOR APPLIANCES. We have a refrigerator/freezer that we bought from Sears SIXTEEN years ago for $500. Still works like a charm! And thank God we have it, because it has had to be our backup for our $7000 Dacor.

This range was installed in January 2003. The door on the larger oven was replaced soon after because it would not close tightly and still doesnt with the new door. I have always thought that the oven temperature is lower than it should be but have been told twice that it is accurate, tell that to the turkey. The heating element on the large oven was replaced 2 years ago. Four of the burners dont light and have to be lit manually, this has been going on for 10 years. The relay board has burned out and now has to be replaced, $800.00 fix. The technician just left and could not replace it, he couldnt access the tight spot that it was in and wanted to cut the barrier panel to get access to it. He decided not to do the job and told me to call Dacor to get another repair service, which I just did. I was prompted to write this after reading other reviews and remarks. I hope this helps someone out there to buy a different brand.

I rarely write reviews but when I found your site, I decided it was time to vent. I bought a 36 dual fuel, convection Epicure range in 1999. It was not a cheap oven and I was excited at the possibilities of having a 16,000 BTU broiler and large oven cavity to work with. Lets just say that excitement quickly wore off. Almost immediately after the range went out of warranty, the ignitors went bad and we also had to replace the control panel ($400 in repairs was a lot back then). After that, we continued to have ignitor problems and replaced them again. Finally, I just stopped doing it and lit them with my aim and flame. I never allow my children to cook on the stove because I am afraid they will be burned. Most recently, my broiler element, relay board and again more ignitor problems ($1,200 in repairs). Not to mention, the repairman had a terrible time trying to access all the areas and was at my house for 4 hours trying to do so. When the initial problems happened, I emailed, phoned, left message, etc. to no avail with customer service (I use that term loosely). This company is the worst. I have told everyone I know never to buy a Dacor anything. Next time, Ill buy a Wolf.

My dishwasher - I used to totally rinse my dishes before putting them in to the dishwasher. No more, not necessary. Does a fantastic job. My refrigerator is amazing. Very roomy, love the individual crispers that keep my veggies perfect and my lunch meats and cheeses perfect. Also, love, love the bottom drawer freezer. Easy to access ice and frozen items. My range is amazing. I love to cook with gas and bake with electric. I bake a lot and this oven is a dream. The green clean feature is long overdue with ovens. Not harsh and cleans beautifully. Bottom line – I’m totally a Dacor fan.

Dacor Fuel Range broken door - My Dacor is by now 13 years old. I see from other reviews that the problems I have with my range have not been addressed in newer models--the same problems exist. When I received my Dacor, there was a crack in the front, above the door. It was small, and Id just had a baby so I let it go. I noticed that the door did not close either, and because I did not address it within a year, Im out of luck. But youd think that making an oven with a door that closes snug would be a top priority. It only closes properly when in cleaning mode. My oven window became brown and I cannot clean it. Its a shame that these things are messed up because the convection seems to work wonderful and the oven is fairly attractive. If the door closed all the way. Im getting ready to consider a new oven. Wont be a Dacor.

I purchased most Dacor appliances when I built my home in 2015. Their induction cook top and dishwasher kept breaking down one by one. The first time the repair service was done well. Early 2019, their cooktop broken down again and I still have the half broken cook top for almost 4 month now. We have been emailing back and forth, firstly Dacor promised to mail me the parts, but then a different customer rep reached out saying I have to take the broken parts out and mail it back to them before they can send me the replacement parts. That means I would have to live without a cook top for a while. There is even no estimation when I will have it fixed!! Dacor dont value their customer and Im comfortable to say it is the worst product quality and service I have experienced in my lifetime. Never recommend it to anyone!!

Unfortunately, the screw broke in two that held our Dacor refrigerator door on and much to our dismay, the door fell off. Dacor was prompt and courteous in sending a replacement lower refrigerator door hinge to the service company and covered the full cost of labor even though they initially said the refrigerator was out of warranty (two years old). Our experience was positive with James who gave timely and a customer-focused response. He also called to follow-up after the repair to make sure we were happy which I appreciated. I hated that the door broke but was very pleased with the repair and the fact that I did not have to pay.

We have 3 Dacor appliances that we purchased new when we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. Our cooktop’s igniter continually clicks even when it is not in the light position. This only happens on the front 2 burners (the back 3 are fine). We have cleaned the unit and cleaned the igniters over and over. We have had 2 authorized Dacor service companies and another company look at our unit. Two said no fix exists; the other replaced a part after talking to Dacor and that did not fix it. When I called Dacor, they noted to get another service company and call them when they are here. I am concerned that this again will not work and I will have to pay another service fee. When they were here I asked them to replace a light in our double oven, but they noted they would have to remove the oven from the wall to do that and it would be costly, to which I said no thanks. Is it true that the oven has to be removed to replace a light? Another issue is that our double wall oven’s upper unit only gets warm to about 200 degrees. Another issue is that the microwave door open button does not move the door, we have to push it and pull the door open by hand. I have turned to Dacor service and to our local service techs and we are at our wits’ end. Any help here?

I have a 4 year old Dacor Renaissance 36 in gas range. The thermostat is broken, the self-clean cycle doesnt work due to a broken lock and the oven indicator light stopped working about 2 years ago. Pros: It is an attractive oven with the knobs that light up blue when on and the burners all work fine but that is it! The technician told me ALL parts I need are on backorder due to Dacor being bought out by Samsung 2 years ago and COVID related delays. He also told me there is no ETA on those parts and said it could be an unknown amount of months. So now I dont have an oven for an unknown amount of time. This is unacceptable. I was sharing my frustrations with a friend who recommended I post this on Dacor Applicances Facebook page. He thought I would get an immediate helpful response. So I did. It was taken down not more than 3 minutes after it was posted! They never even reached out. Pretty poor company service. I will never buy Dacor anything again. Even when the oven was working ok - it never kept good heat and the self-clean cycle never cleaned well - there was lots of grease residue left behind. This is a poor quality company all around. Believe the negative reviews. If I could give negative stars, I would.

We remodeled our kitchen because my wife is a chef. So we thought a full suite of Dacor products was just what she needed. What a mistake! Our $6000 36-inch dual-fuel range had problems from the start. We had to replace the control panel, heating element, convection fan, and door seal. Finally, the liner split and the range became unrepairable. We made the mistake of purchasing a simpler, gas-only range because Dacor offered a modest discount. This $7000 range lasted four months before a failure in the wiring harness made it unrepairable!! We bought a Miele replacement. We have had performance issues with our Dacor warming drawer and microwave. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING DACOR!!!

I purchased my Dacor Epicure Range 8 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen. My other appliances were made by GE and Bosch. Ive had to service my GE appliances a couple of times in the last 8 years, but it is the Dacor that has given me the most grief and it was the most expensive appliance purchased. It has never been reliable with regard to convection baking. Initially I thought it was my inexperience with a convection oven. I read everything I could get my hands on and kept trying...after talking with a friend who does quite a bit of baking I realized its not me, its my oven. Then the real problems started. First it was the broiler/ignitor, next it was the membrane in the keypad. Two months later it was the relay board and this time it was the broiler/ignitor....Again! Started calling Dacor when the relay board went out because at this point I had spent $1,000 on repairs....after I had paid $4,000 for the range itself. For the last two repairs Dacor has paid for the parts, while I paid for the service call and labor. This has reduced the cost of my last two repairs by about 50%, which is very helpful. However, Im still very disappointed in the product. I spend a good deal of time in my kitchen and do quite a bit of baking, cooking, and canning. I thought that if I spent more money and bought a high-end appliance, it would serve me well. At the rate that Im going, I will need to purchase another range, unless I want to keep throwing money into repairs on this one, which I dont. I will not ever purchase (or recommend) another Dacor product again.

Less than two years ago, we purchased a Dacor classic wall oven from a local high end appliance store in Durham, NC. Within a few months, the electronics started getting glitchy; the oven started beeping in the middle of the night. I turned off the beep, but other problems started popping up. I baked a pie which was half raw on one side and overcooked on the other side -- not exactly what you would expect from a nearly $5000 oven. Recently, the display has been blinking in codes and the oven has been turning itself off. When I tried to call customer service, I was repeatedly put on hold for 30 minutes after which the system disconnected me. When I finally spoke to a person, she was very rude. This is a horrible company, a horrible product and I deeply regret that the salesperson at the store talked me into buying this awful oven. I am extremely unhappy.

Purchased a Dacor Epicure ER36DSCH/NG RANGE and oven in 2007. Sad story, it never worked properly since day 1. Initially a gas burner did not light, they came and repaired it. Subsequently the door lock failed in the lock position - had that repaired. The door lock failed the next year again, this time thanksgiving, ruined the dinner. They fixed it but the following year the lower burner element failed at Thanksgiving. All my relatives know not to purchase a Dacor product. Problem is I am stuck with this boat anchor. The oven door motor has failed 3 more times and thankfully the service man showed me how to change it. Today we tried to bake some apple pies and found the oven temperature set at 450 was only 350 (bought an oven thermometer). This explains why it always takes so long to bake things. We remodeled our kitchen and decided to use the range as the focal point of the room. The decision to go with a Dacor ER36DSCH dual fuel range over comparable Wolf and Viking models as well as a Dacor heating drawer was made, a decision I have regretted since. Our unit keeps blowing the baking element ($200) which routinely fails at the most inopportune times. To date I have replaced four and the Mrs. recently informed me that the oven is once again not heating properly. Thankfully, I am competent enough to diagnosis and repair it myself and did a thorough operational inspection and cleaning which revealed the broil element ($180) had also gone bad this time. My wife hates this oven and unfortunately it sits right smack in the middle of our beautiful kitchen to remind us of the bad decision we made. In fact, we are now at the point where we are considering replacing it and sending it to a scrap yard where it belongs. Avoid this brand or it will cost you.

Dacor dual fuel 30 inch range - First of all the look of the dacor is second to none in my opinion. The digital screen with blue lighting makes this a truly elegant part of any kitchen..... when it works. The range top itself worked flawlessly for me and the main burner was always more than enough. The problem with the range lies in the electronics. The unit has been in my home for over a year and has worked for less than a month total. An error code appeared when ever the oven gets hot. C33, C1, 0000, 1111, C11. Ive seen it all. I have had the main board replaced twice and my local repairman is on first name basis with even my dogs at this point. I purchased a Dacor range/oven combination in 2005 for a total kitchen remodel. I chose Dacor for its name and reputation for quality. The first problem was that the digital clock was running very fast; that occurred in October 2005 and was covered by the warranty. The next problem was that the downdraft would not stop going up and down. I had to turn off the breaker switch of that function until the repairman could fix it. The next problem I consider as a design flaw and not an oven malfunction. Both oven lights were burned out by June 2010 and needed replacing. The light bulb cover for my model is behind a grid for the oven racks which must be removed before the light can be accessed. It’s not a 5-minute job. The next problem was in September 2010 when the oven broiler refused to work. Another service call was needed to replace the oven broiler ignitor. The next problem was in June 2011, when the oven rack, which slides into cavities built into the rear wall of the oven, refused to release. It required another repair call. The repairman had to pull the oven out away from the wall and work to release the rack. As a result, I do not use that rack. Theres no one who uses the oven besides me; I have no kids in the house. The oven has never been misused or abused. The next problem was in November 2012, when the self cleaning feature refused to work; another repair call was needed. All of the above cost me $1,250. When I contacted Dacor about the myriad of problems/issues, I got a written reply that said every situation is reviewed on a case by case basis; in most out of warranty cases, Dacor would sell me the part I needed at a reduced price. I responded that would necessitate two service calls (one to diagnose, one to fix) and an inoperable oven for however long it would take to get the part and then reschedule the repairman. In almost all of the above, my repairman (Dacor authorized repairman) had the parts on his truck. I cant be waiting weeks without a functioning oven. Based on all of the above, my oven would have been out of order for many weeks. I wrote Dacor again, thinking the CEO needs to know about all these problems. I asked my contact to forward my correspondence to the CEO for review/comment. Instead, I got a reply from the customer service supervisor who stated in part on his 1/3/13 email, There tends to be a disproportionate amount of negative postings on-line”. Really? Most companies pay attention to complaints or compliments about their product or service. If someone takes the time to communicate, then the company owes its shareholders the duty to listen when there are repeated complaints about their product. Will I buy Dacor again? Never.

For a refrigerator less than a year and costing that much, I thought it should fall under its warranty. Another issue is the ice maker. It wont dispense ice and I have to always pull the ice bin and put it back in. The Dacor customer service said that its because air gets into the ice bin when I dispense ice and thats the solution. We chose DACOR (8-burner double oven top of the line ERD60S06CH/LP) in 2006, new construction because we disliked the signature blue interior of another luxury brand. Last October I detected a gas leak from one of the burners. The authorized repair company was contacted, and the entire unit - all 8 burners and both ovens were out of commission while we waited for the replacement part. Six weeks later the repair guy returned with the wrong part. We had to wait an additional month for the repair guy to return. Apparently, not important that people might want to cook and bake before the Holidays! After the new valve was replaced the oven light began to turn on when any of the gas valves on the defective side was turned on. I write this review 8 months into the problem. I can fix for $700 by ordering a new control panel. I wish I had read these reviews earlier. I overheard the tech say that there was electrical interference and that the wires need to be insulated to stop the oven light from turning on and off. I am so FED up with both the Dacor California head office not caring and the horrible authorized service company. I will take this unit apart myself and fix it. DACOR IS GARBAGE. Go with Sub-Zero, Miele and forget this Brand. DACOR: Dont Accept Crap Or Rubbish! Made in America? Shame on you. No problems with 4 Sub-Zero fridges, or 4 Miele dishwasher the same age.

Dacor 27 electric double oven unreliability. Almost from first use the Dacor electric double oven has been plagued with problems including but not limited to door not locking when self cleaning, not self cleaning, door not unlocking upon completion of self cleaning, and filter issues. Since purchased in 2013 the top oven has been used between 75 and 100 times; the bottom oven less than 25 times. Yesterday the oven died. First error message U43 relay board. Second U60 cooling fan. Worse when the control board responsive/froze circuit breakers were needed to turn oven off.Repair estimate is $1600 plus tax. I intend to replace the overpriced and unreliable Dacor with a Kitchen Aide at approximately 13 the price based on customer and Consumer Reports reviews plus a new one year guarantee. I do not recommend the Dacor double oven if you are a serious cook and/or frequent user. Two years ago, we redid our total kitchen at considerable expense. All of the appliances we replaced were made by Dacor. They included: 1) a 36-inch refrigerator model EF 36/wf; 2) a dual wall oven, model EO230SCH; 3) a gas cook top, Model RGC304; 4) a dishwasher, ModelEDWH24S and; 5) a range hood, ModelEH3012SCH. The problems started within a two months of installation. The refrigerator stopped running due to a relay failure and a compressor problem; both were replaced by Dacor at no cost to us. It was inconvenient but not costly. A short time later, the lower wall oven stopped working as well as the lights in both ovens. This required the replacement of the main control panel (control circuit board). Dacor paid to have it repaired. The clock does not keep accurate time and gains about an hour a day. We decided to leave it well enough alone and did not have it fixed. After the one-year warranty expired, the lower oven quit again. This time, it had to be removed from the wall and an exhaust fan in the lower oven was defective and had to be replaced. Dacor’s initial response was it was out of warranty, so it was up to me to cover repairs. They eventually agreed to supply the part (about $90) but we had to spend several hundred dollars to install. Now, the lower oven takes an extremely long time to heat up, and again we decided to leave it well enough alone. Recently, there was a loud flash in the vent hood; one of the bulbs apparently burned out. My wife tried to turn off the lights in the hood but the light switch apparently blew when the light went and could not turn them off. After a couple of burned fingers and a melted bulb removal tool, I managed to get the other bulb out. A call to Dacor got the usual out of warranty response. I called the local Dacor authorized service rep. He looked at the problem ($95) and said he would have to call Dacor. After he talked to Dacor, they called me and said they would send a replacement control board but would not pay for the service calls. The service company said the next service call would be $195. One light bulb burned out: cost $290. I suspect that every hood unit that Dacor made with this control board is also defective. We have had to replace the halogen bulbs with great regularity. We have halogen bulbs in our boat that have lasted at least 15 years. There was another complaint on this board that had a similar problem with the vent hood. He decided to fix it himself. He is an Electrical Engineer his comments are worth reading and speak to the inadequate design of this unit. It is a shame that the Dacor appliances appear to be near the bottom in terms of reliability. Consumer Reports that their gas cook tops appear to be the least reliable. It looks like I have something to look forward to. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Dacor to anyone. In fact, I would recommend that they not purchase any Dacor product that does not have a full multi-year warranty.

Our new ranch has three Dacor microwaves, only one of which has had a few months of use. The others have very limited use. To this point weve not had problems, but given the opportunity to redo the purchases wed go with a popular brand, i.e., LG, GE, Panasonic. They are more flexible, parts are available, and all three combined would probably cost less than one of these. In fairness, I personally feel the same about our other high end appliances, Wolf, Viking, Sub-Zero and Asko. None beats our former appliances. Maybe its just about show.

This posting is in response to my original post regarding the Drain Pan heater issue in our Dacor refrigerator. My refrigerator was repaired on 10/16/2012 at no charge to me. My refrigerator is out of warranty, but Dacor stepped up and repaired the issue. The customer service I received was second to none, and I would like to thank James ** for that. Updated on 09/25/2020: I wrote my original review of Dacor back in June 2020. This was after 4 months after I first started having trouble with my Dacor dishwasher. It is now September 25th, and still waiting on parts from Dacor to get dishwasher fix. Now the $10k refrigerator is not working and have been awaiting parts on it for over two months. This is absolutely the worst “high end” brand I have ever bought. This now a Samsung owned company and is not worth the money. Stay clear if this brand. Look at the other brands in this category like Wolf, Sub Zero, Miele.Original Review: I purchased a complete Dacor Kitchen package worth close to $20k for a home I did a renovation on. We had the dishwasher a month and it has not worked since. Finally they sent out someone to service it. The service tech said nothing was wrong with it. The next day after the servicemen left it was back making the same horrible sounds and AGAIN not working. I called warranty for about the 8th time and all the rep could tell me is... that did we read our manual and make sure we were operating it properly???? WOW!! Im a custom home builder and have bought numerous high end appliances packages and generally have had good service and even replacement if its a major problem. Dacor makes it sound like this is my fault, that they sold me an INFERIOR product!! Dont waste your money on DACOR. Miele, Wolf, Sub Zero all have superior products and service!!

We purchased a home with a 5 year old Dacor Discovery IQ Double Wall Oven.
We purchased a home with a 5 year old Dacor Discovery IQ Double Wall Oven. Model Number DYO230S. Great looking and it has a very sophisticated and functionally rich digital control system. Problem is the digital control system does not work. The stove has a mind of its own and will just shut off for 24 to 48 hours and return to function randomly. Shutting the power off and turning it back on has no effect. Dacor (Now Samsung) has been completely un-helpful. Bottom line response - tough. Product is no longer produced, replacement parts no longer in stock - maybe there is a part on eBay ** Honest that is the answer. I have called parts companies who also complain about Dacor (now Samsung). No luck. So we will now need to purchase a replacement product for anywhere from 4,000 to 10,000 dollars. To replace a 5 year old - 8,000 product. It will definitely not be a Dacor or Samsung product. And I will do my best to put similar reviews on the internet where ever I can.Just to add some balance - 21 years ago we custom built a home and purchased two Dacor ovens. Both were great. 21 years of flawless operation. When we saw this oven as we went through the home purchase process we were delighted. What a disappointment. Also - before the oven started to go wacky on us we needed to replace the bulbs (2) in the oven light fixture. Initially I contacted Dacor parts and had a very pleasant experience ordering the two replacements. However nothing came to our home. Called again and found that Dacor had been sold to Samsung and the price of the bulbs had doubled or more. No exaggeration. Stay away from Dacor and Samsung.

As a contractor, we were fortunate enough to build our dream home which was
As a contractor, we were fortunate enough to build our dream home which was completed in 2005. After much research and many show room visits, we purchased Dacor appliances for our kitchen. As the saying goes, if I knew then what I know now. Our biggest (note I said biggest, not only) issue is with our ESC130 oven. If you own this oven, do not, repeat, do not, use the self-cleaning mechanism. I have had this repaired once and then replaced once (along with a relay board). I seldom use this because I know when I do the lock mechanism will continue to cycle until it is replaced. This means, while I can still use my oven, I have to time when I open the door based on when the lock is cycling in the unlock position. I must also turn the oven off at the circuit breaker or listen to the continuous warning beep that the lock is cycling (as if I didnt know). After repairing this feature once, I next choose to have the mechanism replaced and Dacor offered me a discount on the parts (the oven was and still is out of warranty) at a cost of more than $500.00. This is on top of what I had already paid to have it repaired just 18 months earlier. I feared using this feature again as I didnt want a repeat performance. After cooking macaroni and cheese yesterday, I felt I really needed to clean the oven and made the mistake of using the self-cleaning feature of the oven. I dont know why I was surprised when the locking mechanism refused to stop cycling.I contacted Dacor today only to speak with the rudest customer service representative I have ever encountered, Steven. No last name. He is the only Steven who works there. He refused to listen to me, spoke over me when I did try to talk, and did not allow me to speak with anyone else. There are no supervisors available on Fridays and he could not transfer me anywhere. I left a message for someone else to call me (they did not). I called back later that afternoon and was given the name of a supervisor, Nhi. She was not available and I spoke with another customer service representative. I learned that Dacor is aware they have a problem with this locking mechanism and are trying to correct it. This got my hopes up, thinking that the company would now do the right thing and replace this mechanism at not cost to me, or at least at no cost for the parts. Not so. Even though Dacor knows there is an issue with this mechanism and they are supposedly trying to correct it, all they can offer me is a discount on parts. Really? Wow! A discount for a part that you know doesnt work properly and probably wont work properly because they are still working on the problem? I just really dont know what to say. Is this supposed to make me happy as a customer? Would prospective customers want to buy a Dacor product knowing that Dacor is more than happy to sell me a known defective product at a discounted price and they should expect the same? It is probably needless to say that I would urge all prospective Dacor owners to not waste their money on any Dacor product as they do not care about their customers. I will certainly be doing my part to warn others and hope this serves to warn others as well. Dacor has a lot to learn in terms of building even what could be called a good product and standing behind what they sell as well as becoming a customer service oriented company.

We bought a whole new kitchen's worth of Dacor appliances - the Modernist line. It's too soon to review their performance, but so far they work well and look fabulous. Most importantly, I had an issue registering my appliances for warranty. I sent an email and not only did they resolve all my issues, registered everything for me, they also notified me I was eligible for an extended free warranty program, and they set it all up for me without any effort on my part. I wouldn't have even known if they hadn't done it for me. So far, I'd say that they have stellar customer service. When researching online before making the choice to go with Dacor, I had trouble finding information and reviews. I wanted to make sure and share my good experience since all too often people only share when they have had a negative one. I hope this is helpful to someone looking to buy!

I have owned a Dacor dual fuel 6-burner range for several years. I paid approximately $5,000 for the product. It has proven to be totally unsatisfactory. The gas burners click and make noise whenever you try to turn the burners down to a low temperature. The cook top is very hard to clean. The range is a constant problem. It smells bad, does not heat up promptly, and the broiler feature is always a problem. A gas oven is supposed to heat to and keep a constant temperature - the Dacor does not. The broiler will not cook food evenly or well. The door to the oven will not close properly and is constantly partially open. The hinges do not seem to work properly. Most importantly, I have tried on many occasions to get Dacor to do something about the defective product. They have been totally non-responsive. When I did finally get somebody to come and look at it, they spent about 2 hours cleaning it, accused me of using the wrong cleaner on the cooktop, and presented me with a bill for $800. I asked if they would just give me my money back and take the defective product with them. DONT BUY DACOR.

We moved into our home in July 2012 and have had nothing but problems from our Dacor refrigerator which was manufactured and installed in this home in 2007. The appliance repair company has been to our home approximately five times in the five weeks since we moved in. Initially, the problem was with a leak in the cooling system which took the technicians about 16 hours over three visits and $1,400 to sort out. Currently, we have been without a visit from the techs in two weeks (our longest stretch since moving in) and the refrigerator is leaking from the ice dispenser and making a motorized noise so loud. Initially, I thought a motorcycle had pulled into my kitchen. Needless to say, the technicians are on their way back.

Dacor appliances were installed in a new home I purchased. The refrigerator has been out of service every single year since purchasing the home. So far, two thermistors, one power supply board, one drip pan heater and one ice maker. Every time the unit fails, I have to wait several days for the authorized service provider to come to the house. That will then result in the need to secure a part that will require anywhere from three days to three weeks before the unit can be placed back into service. As you might guess, perishables dont last that long, so every event results in the loss of hundreds of dollars of food. After yet another extended outage experience, I called Dacor to find out what they might propose to make sure my refrigerator actually performs in a reliable manner (apparently I didnt get the fridge with that feature). The short version of the story is that they not only failed to ever apologize for the fact that their product doesnt work, they insisted I produce detailed documentation covering the last four years of service before they would consider taking any action. Shame on me for not keeping all the invoices from the two service companies. After numerous exchanges, an offer to pay for the part associated with the last repair, not the labor, was the best they could do. Apparently, $250 is too much for Dacor to invest in a customer who has paid several thousand dollars in repair bills and lost hundreds of dollars of food for a unit that is four years old. This is a company who obviously cannot design a product that works consistently and cant provide after sales support in an effective manner.

I am writing to complain about our Dacor dual fuel stove that we purchased
I am writing to complain about our Dacor dual fuel stove that we purchased in 1998 when we built our house. Initially things went well, and I enjoyed baking in the oven and the convenience of the gas stove top when we had power issues. But then the honeymoon ended, and the problems started. After completing our first self clean cycle, we started getting the F1 code, and noticed cracks in the front on the stove. Our repair guy came out, took a look, and then informed me that Dacor had had numerous problems, and were not so good about living up to their warranty. He was right, Dacor felt in no way that they should help resolve our problem. With 4 kids, you cant just go without a stove, so we paid for the parts and repair. I figured it was just a one time thing, but I was wrong. We are now again looking at replacing the same part just 3 years later again with cracks and the F1 code. Dacor should be ashamed. Do the math. If they walk away from responsibility on all of these faulty products that average $5,000 a piece, shouldnt they have the money to pay for the fixes or maybe hire better engineers? They need to be held accountable for this mess. I need my oven back on!!!! And after the money we have paid for repairs, light bulbs, and parts...... the rest of the care should be free and on them.

We remodeled our home and purchased Dacor appliances for our kitchen. Range, love it, Microwave, 30 Double oven and warming drawer (promotional give away). The ovens from the beginning do not function well. To warm up the ovens I have to wait 45-50 minutes and it buzzes. It is at temperature but then when I look at thermometer we are close to 75 degrees below. It recycles temperature every 75 degrees too. We had many repairs to the original unit to the point the repair person recommended that Dacor replace the unit. They did, another disaster. First they dropped the old unit while removing it chipping my granite, destroying my drawer panel and then left an absolute mess. The second unit has the same warm up issues, holding temperatures and oh wait, fans ran for hours after they were turned off. Broiling amazing. Baking and convection, a joke. The last repair person told me to open the oven and turn the cookies to have them cook evenly. And do the same when cooking with Convection. :/ I am currently looking for a reliable double oven that I can use and feel good about the food I serve (to be cooked). Dacor basically said that they cannot help me anymore because we went out of warranty last year and sent a repair person to basically say it is acceptable. Obviously for someone who does not cook, just sayin.

Had to call private technician who was very surprised that a so-called higher end appliance was not factory-fitted with a P trap. He sees the problem often with cheaper models. Updated on 11/29/2018: Further to my recent review of my Dacor wall oven, I went to a high-end appliance store yesterday to research replacements for my microwave, oven, warming drawer installation (so, yay, I get to spend $13,000-plus to replace items I have had for only eight years). I cannot verify the accuracy of this, but the salesman explained the problem. For a period of time, Dacor and Viking used the same third-party supplier for their relay boards. Unbeknownst to the companies, the supplier substituted a part that was later discovered to be defective. Unfortunately, all replacement relay boards contain this part, so the problem will recur repeatedly, as many on this site have discovered. As bad as the cost of periodically replacing the board is, the unreliability of the oven is worse. As happened last time, mine works OK sometimes, burns everything other times, and struggles to get to the desired temperature other times. And because the behaviour is unpredictable, it cannot be reliably recreated when a repairman visits. I have had one email from Dacor and I responded with the information requested, then nothing. I suspect that they know they cannot fix the issue in a permanent way, so theyre just hoping all of us with this defective part will just go away. It looks like newer models that look like mine are still available, but I refuse to pay $5,000 on the off-chance that it has a better relay board. I am looking at Miele replacements.Original Review: I have had two Dacor wall oven, microwave, warming drawer installations. The first one was only a couple of years old when we moved, and Id had to replace the microwave, but I put it down to a power surge in the house after an outage. I have now had the same set in my new house since 2010. I have had to replace the microwave again, but not because of a power surge. It just stopped working. The oven has been a complete nightmare. The probe broke and although I had it repaired, it never worked properly, but the worse problem is that I am about to have to replace the electronic board for the SECOND TIME. When the problem occurs, the oven heats up to the setting but the element just stays on. I all but ruined an expensive cut of meat on the weekend – with company coming, no less – and just had to throw out a batch of muffins. I am considering tearing out the whole installation and getting another brand that doesnt destroy my food. It would probably be cheaper than having to fix the oven every year or two and replace the microwave periodically. These appliances are garbage.

I purchased a DACOR Discovery IQ Range one year ago Model # DYRP36DS/NG from an online authorized DACOR retailer. Here is a synopsis of the events Ive had with the range over the past 12 months: I took delivery of the Range in January of 2016 at my home under construction. I moved into the home in April 2016 which is when the Range was fist installed. In May I began to have problems with the unit, it would shut down during preheating, then reboot itself, sometimes it would just reboot itself randomly. I called DACOR customer support who told me that I needed to download the latest software version, which I did. Shortly thereafter, the Range again would shut down during cooking and go into a reboot cycle.I called DACOR again, they sent out a local service company. In June the technician came out and upgraded and re-installed the software. The problem continued, I contacted DACOR AGAIN, got the run around, etc... Escalated the problem. DACOR then determined the problem was in the internal circuit board which they arranged to shipped to local service company. The service company came out again, replaced the internal circuit board and attempted to upgrade the eProm, which didnt work. The Range was in a constant state of rebooting itself over and over and over again. The Technician left. Said nothing more he could do. I had to shut the power off so the unit would stop rebooting itself.I called DACOR AGAIN, I got a complete run around, they refused to do anything more. I finally was able to reach the V.P. of Customer Service. After a few conversations and investigation into the issues. She determined that the unit needed a new front controller panel. The panel was shipped to the local service company. The service company came out again and replaced the front controller panel. Its now November. Over Christmas, the unit began to shut off the oven randomly during cooking cycles, for no apparent reason. Over New Years, the oven was shutting off, flashing an error code and reboot! I called DACOR last week. They refuse to help because now it is out of warranty.Ive contacted the online retailer. Ive left messages at DACOR for the Service Manager and the V.P. of Service. NO RESPONSE. So this is how DACOR deals with servicing their high end appliances, keep trying to pretend to fix the lemon appliance until the anniversary date, and then they dont have to deal with their $9,000 piece of garbage high end range any longer. The consumer gets screwed and DACOR doesnt care in the least! DO NOT BUY an appliance from DACOR.

I purchased a Dacor double wall oven in May 2011 at a reduced price from a secondary market. Due to cosmetic defects, it wasnt sold by an authorized Dacor dealer. I bought it at what I thought was a fair price, considering the cosmetic defects. When our home was completed in November 2011, we installed the oven but found the oven would not heat up to the set temperature. I was told by the company I bought it from that it would be eligible to be covered under the manufacturers warranty. I called Dacor and was told that since I didnt buy it from an authorized dealer, they would not cover it under their warranty even though I had it under one year. Since I had to give Dacor the serial number when I called it in, they now have a permanent record to that end. I have had no oven because I cannot pay to have it repaired.

Purchased Dacor Induction Range w Convection Oven RR30NIS-C in October 2013 and LOVE this range. Accidentally broke the glass on the induction cooktop with falling object mid-March 2020. Only the glass is broken, and all other electronics, induction burners, oven, etc are functioning fine. Called Dacor support to acquire part number for a glass top for repair - obtained part number #701751 superseded by #702285, BUT was informed that the part had been discontinued and is no longer being manufactured or kept in stock. No other advice was given other than to discard the entire $6000 range. Multiple phone calls with service.I asked for a listing of third party part distributors and was referred to four distributors on the Dacor public website and given no other info. I called all web-based third-party distributors I could find in USA and Canada to see if anyone had the part in stock, with no luck. I contacted two technicians to see if they would be able to obtain the part through their channels, with no luck. I am an engineer, so I spent some time pouring over technical manuals trying to find a solution to replace the entire induction range cooktop assembly (top part of the range) with a later model, and although its possible, Dacor would not provide the ability to purchase an RNR30NI range cooktop assembly that could be fit into the existing housing on top of the range. The convection oven is completely fine, and I cannot believe that Dacor has given me no other option but to pitch a six-year-old $6000 range because they stopped manufacturing one fragile part made of glass. I would imagine that many consumers may be in the same position as I, as these cooktops are breakable, and accidents happen. I have reached out to Dacor support desk numerous times without resolution, and I am at my wits end with a $6000 boat anchor in my kitchen. What a waste of money! Poorly done Dacor!I would like Dacor to provide me with some sort of solution whether it be the part required to fix my induction cooktop, or a replacement Induction Range with convection oven, or reimbursement of the purchase price so I can obtain a replacement on my own. If I am not able to find a solution to repair my range, I will never buy from Dacor again! Dacor will discontinue easily broken parts without warning! You may spend thousands of dollars and not be able to repair your appliance after warranty expires!

As an add-on to my original review, I had a a service call to address the LC error code. The service company reconnected my unit, turned it on, ran a couple tests, and declared there was no issue. We ran the dishwasher 1 cycle and it worked just fine. Tried to run it again later that day, and the LC code was back again. To resolve the issue, I worked with the company I bought my appliances through to replace the Dacor dishwasher with a Bosch. That happened today, so it is too early to tell say how the Bosch works, but it is more solidly built, has more capacity and the door fully opens with the panel installed.Dacor did reach out to me to try to resolve this issue, so kudos to their customer support, but the issues were just too many. Do not buy a Dacor appliance unless youre okay with replacing parts for the oven in less than 2 years. The control electronic part was replace then less than a year later the user interface had to be replaced. Less than a year after the user interface was replaced, the oven completely stopped working. After calling the same repair guy to come fix it, they informed me that the company no longer sells the control interface. When I called the company, the only options they gave me were to send the part to a third party refurbish company and have them fix it. That means I would have to call the service repair company for the FOURTH time to have them remove the part, I would need to send it away to get fixed and call them back to put it back in. Dacor didnt even offer to pay for any of this. The customer service rep offered to give me a discount on a new unit. Are you kidding me?!? Please do yourself a favor and dont buy anything from this company. They dont back up their products and its clear they dont care about their reputation. Its a waste of money to be spend on high end appliances that are poorly made. Spend less from a different company thats been around for a long time. At least if a part goes, youll have reassurance they will have that part handy. A terrible company. I hope they go belly up soon so they can stop selling overly priced kitchen appliances to people.

I moved into a house that already had a Dacor unit in place. Within months, I discovered that I owned an oven that could be fixed by throwing the circuit breaker. Then, I learned about invisible hands that turned the 325 degree convection oven to a 500 degree broiler. The final act was having all three glass panes shatter and the control panel cracking as punishment for assuming that the oven cleaner on an expensive gourmet stove would function according to manufacturing standards. The repairman ordered replacement parts. He spoke with someone who was off shore so forget about Dacor being all American made. The wrong parts were sent. He has reordered. Meanwhile, I have been without an oven for two months. If this goes on, I am going to Home Depot and buying a Hotpoint or GE. It is the same price as replacement glass panels and the control panel.

My wife and spend $12k on a new Dacor range/oven 15 years ago. The range works well, the LED lights on the gas knobs needed changed once in a while, the oven door wouldn’t close properly and the heat in the oven wasn’t distributed evenly. All that we could live with. Then the oven died. The repair technician ordered the part. Samsung don’t make it anymore. We are now left with no oven. So we have spent $800 a year on a Dacor range that now doesn’t work. Thanks Dacor… or Samsung?

I purchased entire kitchen of Dacor appliances - $30,000. The 48 refrigerator required 9 service calls to stop freeze up. Wall oven – the digital panel went bad. Stove top exhaust – the circuit is melting. The dishwasher had 17 service calls over 2 years - mid way they replaced the unit because they could not stop it from leaking and damaging our wood floors. The most recent service call was yesterday, 12/20/2011. After waiting since November, it is again not working. Does anyone else understand that spending $1700 on a dishwasher should allow you to use the dishwasher? I called the customer service and was told We are discussing the situation and will get back to you. Are you going to come wash dishes with me over Christmas when we have 25 guests? Were you there on Thanksgiving? If I hadnt been stupid enough to buy all Dacor appliances, I would throw it in the dumpster and buy a GE from Home Depot.

Dacor representative has been helpful in responding to my complaint and has sent new oven racks which I greatly appreciate. I was able to send them pictures of the damaged racks. I want to clarify that the warranty that was sold to me by an upscale appliance center was NOT a Dacor extended warranty and I believe that this caused my issues to slip thru the cracks. Nothing can be done about the interior that seems to have a film of sorts on it, short of replacing, but I am grateful that Dacor customer service went out of the way to correct the problem with the racks.

In 2010 we purchased a new Dacor Epicure Stainless Steel 42 refrigerator/freezer. Weve had to replace the freezer heating element (twice) because it fails and then the freezer ices up causing the system to stop cooling. This past week the fan began making a noise and so we had repairmen come out (yet again). Technician confirmed that the pan motor (fan in freezer) has failed. NO PART is available... I couldnt believe that parts wouldnt be available for a $10,000 high-end refrigerator that was purchased new only ten years old. I called Dacor directly and asked them how long they make parts available after they retire a model. The Dacor representative told me that they make parts available for 7 years. 7 YEAR PART AVAILABILITY ON AN APPLIANCE THAT SHOULD LAST 15-20 YEARS??? RUN AWAY FROM DACOR. Obviously customer service is low on their priority list. We will be replacing our gorgeous $10,000 ten-year old Dacor refrigerator/freezer (now a boat anchor) with Sub-Zero. Not too much more money than Dacor but they continue to make parts available for twenty years following model retirement. That is the kind of company that I want to do business with.

I purchased this upgrade to my kitchen renovation. The stainless steel stove has a great look, but that is all it has. This is my third repair (with much difficulty). The same problem - the bake ignitor goes bad and sends gas smells throughout the kitchen. On Christmas day, after preheating the oven, I opened the oven door and the inside was one large flame. The heat was intense and my right arm got hot from the heat. I immediately closed the oven and cancelled the bake setting. When I called Dacor the following morning, I thought I was talking with a robot. No emotions, no sense of caring. They must be programmed. I got no satisfaction. I said, Do you understand? My stove went on fire and on Christmas day. My family was not sure if they should leave my house. I am extremely disappointed with Dacor.

I have an Dacor column fridge and after 18 mths (under warrant), its not cooling. Its been 3 weeks, 2 repair visits and Im still out of fridge. Repair person said this is a known issue. If this is the case, Dacor should be proactive and reaching out to consumers under warranty to get this fixed instead of waiting for complaints. Interior trim kit is not included in purchase price which is ridiculous for the price of this fridge. Would not recommend!

Dacor range - After I posted my comments on August 8th, I was contacted by Dacor customer service immediately and the new part was sent to me free of charge. I do have to pay the labor, but the part was what was expensive before. They did give me an explanation as to why this was happening - the hinges on the door wear out and the door doesnt shut properly so that heat escapes. Should this be happening with a stove that was this expensive? I dont think so, but I am happy with the customer service I received from Dacor this time.

In 2001, I bought a Dacor dual range stove. I paid over $2000. My problem is that there is a defect in the product; when you use the self-cleaning, the outside of the stove cracks up. Dacor has replaced this three times and each time it cracks again. I spoke with them about a year ago and because I didnt continue the warranty, they wouldnt replace it. I carry a home warranty. My stove looks like it came from the junkyard. I understand them not repairing a physical problem with the stove but the outside is crumbling because of a defect in their product. If you dont clean the oven, then you get an error and the only way to get it off is to clean but all that dose causes the outside to crack up more. It pains me to think of buying a new range when I thought I had done my homework, when I choose Dacor. I hope this isnt too late, but it pains me to think after another cleaning I may be forced to buy another stove.

I have a Dacor MORS130SS oven that I purchased in July of 2008. After 6 months the first membrane panel failed, one year later the second membrane failed. One year later the third membrane failed. Im on the fourth membrane and now my fine Dacor is burning things!! I can set the temp to 350 and it shows 350 on the display but the lower element never shuts off and whatever I cook gets burned. I bought this oven thinking it might be my last considering the supposed quality of Dacor. I know for sure it wont be my last oven!! I sell appliances and I never recommend Dacor ovens because of all the continued problems. Ive never used the self clean feature since being told by a Dacor tech trainer that he didnt recommend using self clean because it would cause the oven to age faster. Wonder how long it would have lasted if I did use self clean? Sure wish Dacor would contact me for a testimonial!

I, too, purchased a 30 Heritage gas range in Nov 2018. The first time I ran the cleaning cycle (2 weeks ago), the oven heating went out. After time consuming attempts to reach the warranty dept, finally got a call back. Sent the required information and was told the warranty servicer would contact me within 48 hours. After not receiving such call, I reached out via email again to Dacor and was told to contact the servicer directly. Well, I just did that, and was told they refuse to service me because DACOR IS NOT PAYING THEM! How is that for a luxury appliance company making millions off of its customers and not paying its service companies? A very clear breach of contract since my warranty is active until November 2021. I have never in my life had such an experience, with the LG, KitchenAid ranges I have owned. Never even have needed one ounce of service in their life. So now I await a response from posts on Dacor FB page and voicemail I left, hoping for service. What a colossal waste of money. Buyer beware!

After remodeling our kitchen, we purchased a professional line Dacor stand
After remodeling our kitchen, we purchased a professional line Dacor stand alone gas range/oven. Within a year, the heating element needed to be replaced. Subsequently, the control panel almost caught fire and needed replacement, following a second heating element. The oven is not reliable and has cost us over $600 in repairs, labor and parts. The Dacor company is not willing to recognize that this oven is a lemon, even though their rep admitted that the number of repairs seem to exceed the average number. The company refuses to pay for a tech to come in to examine why this range continue to have electrical problems. It is not working again, and the customer service rep wants us to pay out more money to have their tech diagnose the problem and pay the cost of repairs and labor, while they will cover the cost of the parts. I am done paying out more money on a defective appliance. I could have purchased two new less expensive (and more reliable) ovens by now.

I am amazed by the sleek look and design of the new Modernist refrigeration Dacor has to offer. The built in column pairing is my favorite with all stainless steel interior, tempered glass, and LED lighting that WOWs anyone who opens the door. The water dispenser is flush against the interior wall of the refrigerator and the freezer can offer two ice makers, one for regular ice and one for your high end cocktail drinks. These units are PURE LUXURY and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

In September 2009 we did a complete remodel of our kitchen. Replaced everything but the refrigerator, with DACOR appliances. Within a few months we had problems with the dishwasher and finally replaced it with a GE in 2012. About that same time we had problems with the Dacor Epicure 30 Single Oven Model EO130SCH control panel and had to have the repairman out to work on the relay/computer board. At Christmas 2015 I had trouble baking, the temperature wasnt accurate and have had the repairman again. He says that the computer board is fried (his term). Ive tried calling Customer Service with no success. Ive e-mailed them with same results. The appliance repairman has told me that he cant find the part. All the distributors that hes called have been told that the part is on back order. Ive been without an oven for over two months now with no fix in sight. Have been told that IF we find the part it will probably run around $500.00. These are appliances that are only six years old and have had gentle use by senior citizens. Anyone reading this - PLEASE DONT BUY DACOR! Youll be sorry as I am.

We purchased a Dacor built-in refrigerator in 2011. After just 5 years the warning beeper came on. We learned that the main control panel - built by Whirlpool - was defective. We then learned that Dacor did not have any replacement part for this model. Our only alternative was the purchase a new refrigerator. Amazing!! Dacor reluctantly gave us a partial credit for a new (KitchenAid) model. However at the end of the day we are out of pocket over $2000 because Dacor built and sold a defective refrigerator with no ability to fix the problem. Very unsatisfactory handling of this situation.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2001 and bought a Dacor Epicure 30 dual fuel range. The gas cooktop has never been a problem, unlike the oven which has been a problem from the first week with unpredictable temperature variations. Multiple holiday meals have seen the extended family waiting for dinner for two hours because the oven decided to be cool that day. The advice from Dacor: preheat your oven for several hours before you need it or my favorite from a repairman: you must be slamming your oven door. Not helpful. Several expensive repairs later (over $2100) and one fire in the oven now it wont turn on at all. We are going to try one last time to repair it and then we are done. I do not recommend Dacor to anyone - too expensive to have such terrible quality and service.
