If anyone else has this experience with Dacor ovens, we need to have a class action suit against Dacor! While baking Christmas cookies this week with my grandchildren, my ovens stopped working and started beeping. The error code was F3. I was able to get a technician rather quickly who diagnosed the problem as a failure of the control board which affected both ovens. The replacement part was discontinued from production in 2011. My ovens are 12 years old and cost over $4,000 at the time. What a pickle I was in a week before family coming for Christmas dinner! The technician said my only recourse was to send the control board to a refurbisher and he did not know when the board would be fixed - all for a whopping costs of over $600.00! I find it unacceptable that Dacor discontinues a control board and forces the consumer to either buy new ovens or pay the cost of a refurbished part that I hope will work. After spending thousands of dollars, how does this happen? What can be done so the consumers who purchase appliances with good intentions are protected from manufacturers that dont stand behind their products? DACOR I NEED ANSWERS!!

We remodeled our kitchen 2 years ago but didnt upgrade our refrigerator because our old one was still working. My wife and I always wanted a Dacor refrigerator. We like their design. Our old refrigerator finally died after a little a year after our reno. We were sad but happy at the same time because we can finally go buy a Dacor fridge weve always wanted. We shopped around and compared Dacor, Sub-Zero, and Thermador just to make sure Dacor is for sure what we wanted. We chose Dacor and we couldnt be happier. Its been almost a year and we still love our Dacor fridge. Now we will just have to wait until our oven dies to get a matching Dacor one.

Like many of you on this site, when we remodeled our kitchen in 2000, I researched and decided to shell out the extra money for the highly recommended and higher priced Dacor everything. We got a double oven, glass 30 cooktop and an exhaust fan. 12+ years later, I wish I had bought GE! My ovens have had so many problems I cant even count. Basically, the temperature doesnt hold correctly. I have used oven thermometers and my husbands fancy gauge to check temp. I had a whole transformer and control panel changed out in hopes that it would correct the problem, but it didnt. I think it has something to do with the self-cleaning. I think it gets so hot that it fries the controller. I never use the broiler so its not like I left the door open and wasnt supposed to. This afternoon I set the oven to preheat to 350. I set my little cakes inside that I was making with my grandson. About 5 minutes later, it smelled like something was burning so I checked the little cakes. They were already charring on top and then I noticed that the top element was fiery red, basically on broil! What the heck?! This is ridiculous! Im not going to spend another $500 for another repair! I am waiting to see what the repairman says.On another note, my stovetop cracked twice! The last time, Dacor was nice enough to sell one to me at cost and my husband was able to install it. It didnt match the old one and I was told by Dacor that they dont make them anymore and that is made by a third party supplier now. The old one had a textured finish and this one is just very shiny and scratches so easily! I hate it. We also had a retractable exhaust fan put in because the stovetop is in an island. Every time I turn it on, my basement smells like whatever is cooking. Now the buttons dont work anymore. That is unless I jab them so hard with a sharp object that it finally makes enough contact to work! This is another part that we got at cost that my husband had to crawl around and repair that still doesnt work. So, all three Dacor appliances we bought have turned out to be very disappointing purchases. Dacor should stand behind their products better, offer longer warranties or better yet, build better products! I would never recommend these products to anyone!

In 2001, I bought a Dacor dual range stove. I paid over $2000. My problem is that there is a defect in the product; when you use the self-cleaning, the outside of the stove cracks up. Dacor has replaced this three times and each time it cracks again. I spoke with them about a year ago and because I didnt continue the warranty, they wouldnt replace it. I carry a home warranty. My stove looks like it came from the junkyard. I understand them not repairing a physical problem with the stove but the outside is crumbling because of a defect in their product. If you dont clean the oven, then you get an error and the only way to get it off is to clean but all that dose causes the outside to crack up more. It pains me to think of buying a new range when I thought I had done my homework, when I choose Dacor. I hope this isnt too late, but it pains me to think after another cleaning I may be forced to buy another stove.

Dacor refuses to take responsibility for defects in their products. Our wall oven required two cooling fan motors and two relay boards over a relatively short period of time. In addition, all of the sensors had to be hard wired when the oven stopped working, and our service technician was informed by Dacor that moisture tended to get into the sensors on these ovens. We spent nearly $1500 on these repairs. Reaching a customer care representative at Dacor can take upwards of 20 minutes. Phone calls are not returned. Customers are left to pay the cost of defects in Dacor products.

We moved in our new home in June 2019. We had purchased 2 Dacor dishwashers, 2 ovens, a gas cooktop and a microwave. All the appliances are beautiful. That said, both of our dishwashers leaked so bad we had to stop using them as they were damaging our wood cabinets and floor. Dacor sent service persons out after multiple calls and replaced the seals, but they still leaked. Our cabinet company that sold the Dacor appliances stepped up and replaced them both with Bosch dishwashers. Our Dacor Refrigerator went out in mid February and will not cool anymore. After 2 hours on the phone with a Dacor representative, we finally were able to schedule a service person to come out a week later (Dacor has very few support companies so dont plan on anything happening too soon when there is a problem). Was not able to repair the fridge and said it could be another two weeks to get the part and return. That said our service person is a great guy and cares, but has to rely and wait on Dacor for responses and parts. Our ovens take twice as long to cook as any other oven we have ever had. We are asking them to look into that as well. Overall, very disappointed. We understand having problems, but expect Dacor customer service would be much better and support their own field service persons and clients or at least act like they care. Not looking forward to calling them back to see why we need to be without a fridge for 3-4 weeks total....

I called customer service to ask general directions on how to remove the top of my oven range. The person answering the phone (01/23/2017 at 4:25 PM) would not let me talk to anyone in service. I asked him why, and are you ready for this? He said we cant talk to customer service for our own security.. No kidding. The idiot went on to try and tell me it was for my protection! After arguing further, I asked him to again connect me with a technician. He puts me on hold and comes back and says The technician said to call a service provider - unbelievable. I will NEVER buy a DACOR product again! What morons think they can sustain a business with this approach to service!

Dacor came through! They sent me, at no charge,a replacement part. This new part is supposed to fix the issue of ice cycles in the freezer. Its a new drainage system that actually heats the water in the pan so it does not freeze up causing the water to back up. I am hopeful that this will permanently fix the issue! But props to Dacor for stepping up to the plate to fix this! Thanks, guys!

I just had an appliance repair company come out to let me know what is wrong with my Dacor Stove door, since it wont close. He said the hinges are needing to be replaced. He said that he replaces these hinges on Dacor stoves ALL THE TIME and that the company really needs to file a recall on these hinges and/or reimburse consumers who have these installed. He said these should not go bad like they do. That this is poor manufacturing on Dacors part and they are not being held accountable. I agree 100%. It is going to cost me with labor and parts almost $ 400.00 to replace these hinges that should not go bad with the age of the stove. Thanks.

We remodeled our kitchen and decided to use the range as the focal point of the room. The decision to go with a Dacor ER36DSCH dual fuel range over comparable Wolf and Viking models as well as a Dacor heating drawer was made, a decision I have regretted since. Our unit keeps blowing the baking element ($200) which routinely fails at the most inopportune times. To date I have replaced four and the Mrs. recently informed me that the oven is once again not heating properly. Thankfully, I am competent enough to diagnosis and repair it myself and did a thorough operational inspection and cleaning which revealed the broil element ($180) had also gone bad this time. My wife hates this oven and unfortunately it sits right smack in the middle of our beautiful kitchen to remind us of the bad decision we made. In fact, we are now at the point where we are considering replacing it and sending it to a scrap yard where it belongs. Avoid this brand or it will cost you.

We spent close to 30K in Dacor appliances and have been paying for repairs almost yearly. Most recently last year around March 2015 we spent $1800.00 in repairs for the refrigerator. It is a long weekend and we planned a family BBQ and had to throw away all my marinated meats and salads. This is unacceptable. When you spend thousands of dollars in appliances you dont expect to have these types of problems. DO NOT BUY DACOR APPLIANCES. IT IS A RIPOFF.

We bought the Dacor Wall Oven (ECS136SCH) in 2006 during a complete kitchen remodel. In 2009, the relay board was replaced twice. The first time, it was over $500 to replace. The second time, it was covered under the parts warranty when a terminal was bad. Now, I need another relay board and a new element which will cost over $700 to replace. For an oven that was originally over $3000, this is not acceptable, but what other choice do I have? The technician told me that Dacor has the worst mark up for replacement parts. I thought I had done my research and found that Dacor had a good product. I guess I was wrong.

I could have written every one of these negative reviews. Ive had all the same issues with my Dacor Epicure oven. Faulty computer panel, failed motor in the downdraft fan, oven not maintaining temperature (meaning NOTHING cooks correctly in this oven), burned out lower element and discolored interior. And let me add that the interior oven fan stays on for about half an hour after you turn off the oven. What purpose could that possibly serve???? Suffice it to say that this is a poorly made product by a company that has no desire for repeat customers. I am currently working with customer service to try to get my oven working for Thanksgiving, but I just dont have much hope after reading all of these similar issues. Clearly, they manufacture a sub-standard product and sell it at premium prices. Nice business model, for a while.

My Dacor Double oven is less than 5 years old. Lately, the broil function has stopped working well on both ovens. I contacted the ONLY authorized Dacor repair center - Home Appliance Repair GTA (HARGTA) and told them my broiler wasnt working well. Their repair technician came to my house, took both double oven doors off in order to give me the assessment – that my upper broil function was not working well. In fact, both upper and lower do not work well but thats a side issue. In the process, the technician broke or did not properly reinstall my double oven door. I called and he returned and again, removed BOTH oven doors. Now, my upper door is working well but my lower door has no hinge and falls hard and heavy. This is extremely dangerous. I have left multiple messages with HARGTA and they are not getting back to me. Ive even contacted DACOR which is only in the US and they havent gotten back to me either. I purchased a Dacor oven to get a quality appliance and excellent after care service. It appears that both the appliance and the aftercare service do not live up to their reputations. P.S. The quote to repair 1 broiler is $750 after less than 5 years of use. That will equal 1/4 of the oven cost in less than 5 years.

We purchased Dacor appliances twice, (double ovens, warming drawer and gas cooktop), after our first flood, and then again, after we flooded from Hurricane Harvey. (Dacors customer service was excellent in helping us replace all our appliances when we were going through such a horrific disaster because the vendor we purchased our appliance from the first time, wasnt in business anymore.) We were very satisfied with our appliances the first time we remodeled, that we purchased them again, and have not had any problems. The ovens heat up quicker than other high-end ovens and the range top cooks evenly and looks beautiful. I would purchase again, but hopefully, I wont have to.

I purchase a home with a Dacor double oven. Unfortunately the oven begins transmitting multiple beeps and the touch panel will sometimes read off after beeping a while. I contacted the staff at Dacor requesting a service manual. They refused to send me a service manual and stated that only authorized technicians can service their equipment. Its obvious they used google or a local phone book and sent me contacts of appliance repair shops in my area. When I called, they had never heard of Dacor let alone be factory authorized. I called Appliance repair shops up to 50 miles away to find there were no Dacor Dealers. I found one 70 miles away but it was too far to send a technician. If I remove my oven from the wall and take it there they would attempt to look at it. I had to reverse engineer the thing to find that my touch panel has gone bad and now I cannot find a used one. I want to recommend that anyone considering an appliance DO NOT PURCHASE A DACOR! If you are looking for high end stick to SubZero / Wolf. Oddly enough I see that there hasnt been any reviews for the past 5 years. Maybe it appears people have stopped buying Dacor appliances.

Years ago I purchased the Dacor Double Oven over a Thermador because the Thermador had a ridiculously long pre-heat time. The Dacor has performed reasonably well as a oven particularly in convection-bake mode. But over time, components started failing and repair parts were hard to find, unavailable or ridiculously overpriced. I am an an engineer with DIY skills honed from years working with high tech food manufacturing equipment and controls including ovens. In recent years, I have needed to replace a relay board, the main control board, hinges two times, and most recently the hinge receptacles. I have also replaced an inner panel on a door assembly. Just think what such repairs would have cost for an average consumer. I understand the parts can fail, but Dacor has shown little regard for consumers in my opinion. They have done very little to maintain an inventory of repair parts. Basically their message is that the part is now obsolete and unavailable. Thats some answer when the price of a new double oven is multiple thousands. Recently, the hinges on my upper oven failed again. As they failed, their failure caused increased wear on the hinge receptacles. Soon the receptacles failed as well. I was able to find hinges at a ridiculously high price but the receptacles were unavailable anywhere. I contacted a several parts suppliers who told me that they had no idea when the parts would be available. Moreover at least two of the suppliers mentioned that they had a backlog of orders for the receptacles - one had a backlog of over thirty. Yikes!. At that point I contacted Dacor customer service and asked what could I do to get the part. Answer: The part is unavailable and we have no estimate on when it will be available. I tried to escalate my request and got nowhere. Finally after many hours of online searching, I found one set of the hinge receptacles at a price 4X last years price. Lastly as I replaced the receptacles today, I realized that the mounting screws only hold one portion of the U shaped mount. If the screws were longer, the receptacle would be less prone to twisting and wear. Be aware that Dacor was sold to Samsung a few years back. Based on my experience, I could never recommend Dacor. Caveat Emptor!

We purchased a Dacor oven stove top. It is about 10 yrs old now. 3 years ago we had a problem with the ignitor and had it repaired and paid over $200.00 for the repair. 3 Years later we are experiencing a similar problem with the ignitors clicking on and not turning off. I have been online and have seen similar complaints leading to believe that this is a common problem and I would avoid purchasing Dacor ignitor products for the stove top, until resolved.

I have been very disappointed in the reliability of our Dacor refrigerator, model EF42BDCBSS, purchased in 2007. The first circuit board went out in 2008 within 6 months of the initial purchase. A replacement part could not be located. It was still under warranty so they replaced the whole unit. In 2010, we had to have another repair to regulate the temperature of the freezer. Last week (October 2012), the circuit board went out again! Even though the unit itself is less than five years old, it is no longer under warranty. Dacor goes by the original installation date. I contacted Dacor and spoke with LS who basically stated that all they could offer was a discount on the part. This repair is costing us over $650, not including the loss of food. We paid to have the part second day. When we called back the next day to get a tracking number for the shipment of the part, we were told by another representative that the part had not shipped because it was out of stock in the default warehouse. He was able to locate it in another warehouse and get it shipped the same day. I called LS back and she stated that she never promised when it would ship, but when it did, it would go second day. I would not expect this type of repair cost and attitude on a refrigerator that was over $9,000 when new. Now, I am concerned with the liability of our range and microwave, which are of the same Dacor brand. The main reason I took the time to write this email is to make retailers aware of the situation and ask that you seriously look at the reputation of the Dacor appliance line and decide if you really want to promote this product to your customers. Dacor could care less about their customers and/or reputation.

We built a home in 2006 and installed all Dacor appliances. I would never ever purchase these products again. My gas cooktop was the top of the line product from Dacor and I have had nothing but problems with it for 5 years now. I have spent over $1000 fixing the large burner that continues to have leaks with the seal to the point where the flames come out the bottom of the burner. Most of the other burners click when lit even though they are clean and away from a draft. I have had 2 Dacor approved repair companies out and they both recommended against Dacor. In addition, the finish on the cooktop has soaked in my heavy duty cooking juices and foods and the stains will not come out. Apparently, this is due to the new finish they used so that the metal can withstand the high temperatures. If this company were an auto mfg., they would have had to do recalls and face potential class action suits. I would prefer to be cooking on a camp stove rather than my Dacor. When I contacted Dacor, they offered parts at a reduced rate which still cost a fortune. When I asked about replacement, they said they would sell to me at a discounted rate which was still $2400. Bad product, bad company. My cooktop is still giving me issues. it is embarrassing to cook with friends around because of the problems.

I called the customer service number regarding my double oven. It just randomly beeps and now turns off. No error code displayed. It has done this on and off since 2003. Now it is happening all the time. I called customer service and they seemed to act like it is my fault and I need a new touch pad. I inquired and this is a recurring problem with this model. I could not get a straight answer from the person I was talking to. He just told me that if the repairman says I need a new touch pad, then I need to get one. Well I have been doing some research and this is a problem that seems to be haunting more people than I. We own a Dacor gas cooktop that has had to have a switch repaired. After purchasing what I thought would be ovens of a lifetime I could not be more disappointed, frustrated and angry at a company in my buying history! Since November of 2014 and longer I have been fighting for service or answers or at least honesty! The ovens have never worked properly, they do not keep temperature. The oven temperature drops 60 to 75 degrees while cooking over a couple hours. The control board was replaced. Still the ovens never worked. If you like to cook and cook for the bed and breakfast, which is why you bought an oven like this, you will have your ovens on for a couples hours preparing any multi-dish meal! I was treated rudely on the phone during routine troubleshooting and was never allowed to speak to a manager. Dacor for months or so later is buying back my ovens minus a restocking fee, on ovens that dont work, $1200!

And the auto fill water pitcher means no one has to remember to fill it up. Small detail but so nice to have. Definitely recommend this fridge.

I purchased my first Dacor appliances in 1991, built a second house in 2005 and again purchased Dacor double ovens and a cooktop. Loved them! Remodeled my current home and again purchased the double ovens and a cooktop. The double oven, DTO230FS, which was installed in November 2015, 4 years ago, stopped working. I was roasting asparagus and we smelled what seemed to be burning plastic. The oven is used about 4 times a month, I have never used the self cleaning feature therefore it is surprising that it broke. The repairman said that the relay board was bad and will need to order the part. He estimates that it will be $600 to fix it. Sad that I need to incur the repair cost of an oven that is only 4 years old.

We were going to get a subzero and changed our minds when we saw these products - the styling, design and function looked so much better than Sub-Zero, despite the higher price tag. Well, fast forward about 8 months and we dont have a functioning fridge. It stopped cooling out of nowhere. We had to throw everything away. After FINALLY getting a repair person to the house, they told me that it was because the fridge had run out of gas (freon or whatever the coolant is thats used). When asked how that happened they said they didnt know, but that they couldnt repair it as they needed a part from Dacor. A WEEK later, they finally got the part and came back to repair the fridge. 4-5 hours later it still was not repaired and they said they needed another part. Its been almost two weeks since then and the part has still not arrived. We had a BlueStar range installed when redoing the kitchen and when we had a problem with that, they overnighted the part, so that they could fix it right away. This is not the case here - the customer service has been absolutely horrendous and Ferguson Appliances (where I bought the fridge from) has been at their wits end with this (I cant say enough about how wonderful Ferguson has been to deal with). This has been a nightmare. Now the repair place wont even schedule a repair date because they dont want to lose the time again in case the part doesnt show up again... DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE. I should have known better not to buy a Samsung (yes, Samsung bought Dacor a few years ago and these products are glorified Samsung units).

We have a Dacor gas range RSD30R that we bought to upgrade our kitchen in 2002. We have had several issues with the range to date. The first issue we had with the range was the auto lock for the oven cleaning cycle that failed in 2007. It was not covered under warranty and cost $88. The second item to fail were the oven door springs. They also failed in 2007 and covered under warranty. They failed again in 2017 and had to be replaced for a second time. The springs are too weak to hold the weight of the heavy door. $68-$78 for the springs. The springs could easily be changed out as the brackets are still good but they only come as complete units. The last item to fail were the ignitors. Only one ignitor failed out of the four but as the spark module ignites all burners every time any one is turned on, premature failure could be expected as all ignitors light every time. This time the part is no longer available from Dacor. Dacor does not support any products they build after 7-8 years. Parts will no longer be available. I would not recommend Dacor Appliances to anyone as the manufacturer does not support their own products very long. I purchased Dacor to buy American and I regret it now. In contrast every product that Miele made even 20+ years ago, parts are still available directly from Miele and other suppliers as well.

I wish I had read all these reviews of Dacor products before being duped into paying for a high end wall oven. As many others have mentioned, the electronic panel design is faulty. I paid $1000 to have it replaced once. Now it is broken again and the alarm beeps constantly. The reply from their service rep was that they havent had any recalls of this product (in other words, no ones house has burned down yet). He also admits that he wouldnt buy a Dacor oven unless he had money to burn. Well, my money has already burned and so have I.

We have an 11 year old Dacor double oven with convection on top. The relay board malfunctioned and there are no parts to repair this. All Dacor would tell us is that they dont carry the parts anymore. Evidently, they are not required by law beyond about 8 years and that appears to be all they do. Our appliance repair person even contacted a company that rebuilds electronics and they cant get parts for this board. It is unbelievable considering what we paid for the oven. So we now have to replace it. Dacor offered us a discount on a new one. Not good enough. I cant imagine putting another Dacor product in. Two appliance service people have told me that Dacor has this reputation and they would not put them in their own houses.

After posting the prior complaint, a Dacor customer service representative emailed me immediately the following day asking for details on the problem. The problem started with our refrigerator unit when it was still in the first year of a 2-year warranty. We have had over 9 service calls for various problems; we had to replace the circuit board, switch and the pan twice. The warranty runs out soon. After five unanswered calls to the customer service number, we were finally able to get through; not that it made a difference. Their response was, “We apologize, but there is nothing we can do?” Sound familiar? Dacor refuses to extend the warranty even though the problems seem to be bad design, parts and customer service. Dacor says when (not if) you need another repair, well work with you. Yipee! We get to work with them some more and pay for the privilege. Dont make the same mistake we did. We will never buy a Dacor product again.

We moved into our home in July 2012 and have had nothing but problems from our Dacor refrigerator which was manufactured and installed in this home in 2007. The appliance repair company has been to our home approximately five times in the five weeks since we moved in. Initially, the problem was with a leak in the cooling system which took the technicians about 16 hours over three visits and $1,400 to sort out. Currently, we have been without a visit from the techs in two weeks (our longest stretch since moving in) and the refrigerator is leaking from the ice dispenser and making a motorized noise so loud. Initially, I thought a motorcycle had pulled into my kitchen. Needless to say, the technicians are on their way back.

I have owned a Dacor dual fuel 6-burner range for several years. I paid approximately $5,000 for the product. It has proven to be totally unsatisfactory. The gas burners click and make noise whenever you try to turn the burners down to a low temperature. The cook top is very hard to clean. The range is a constant problem. It smells bad, does not heat up promptly, and the broiler feature is always a problem. A gas oven is supposed to heat to and keep a constant temperature - the Dacor does not. The broiler will not cook food evenly or well. The door to the oven will not close properly and is constantly partially open. The hinges do not seem to work properly. Most importantly, I have tried on many occasions to get Dacor to do something about the defective product. They have been totally non-responsive. When I did finally get somebody to come and look at it, they spent about 2 hours cleaning it, accused me of using the wrong cleaner on the cooktop, and presented me with a bill for $800. I asked if they would just give me my money back and take the defective product with them. DONT BUY DACOR.

I have a Dacor 27 inch wall (model EOR) oven which I bought 2 years ago, along with a micro and a warming drawer. Since then, the control panel has been replaced twice. Both times because, after using the timer mode, the beeper would come on at all hours of the day and night. In both instances, I had to cut the power to the oven until the replacement part arrived. I am presently waiting for the third panel to arrive. Today I needed to bake something, so I turned the power to the oven back on. Now it will only function at 350 degrees and only in the bake mode. No other numbers can be put in and nothing happens when I select convection. So far Dacor has absorbed the cost of the parts and repairs, but that does not mitigate the hassle of having to wait upwards of 2 months for a part each time this happens.

ZERO STARS if I could but DISAPPOINTED - if I had to use one word to describe our experience with Dacor with not only our $8K+ 42 Built In Refrigerator that is sitting at 70+ degrees in the freezer and fridge sections but SO DISAPPOINTED with their poor customer service and lack of concern resolution tools for their team to even try to help. They are supposed to have high end luxury products. With that, anyone would expect to have a luxury customer experience. However, our family has been WITHOUT a working unit since January 6th. That is less than a month from when we had it installed but almost a month from today. We followed the proper protocols to get it repaired. Took almost two weeks to even get a technician. Once we did, he confirmed it needed to be replaced. We got approval and now learned we have wait another 2-3 weeks to get a separate decision to be made.Requested if there is any way to escalate our concerns but cant even talk to a supervisor for another 24-48 hours... Apparently they will call when it is convenient to them. Dacor - have some empathy for your customers! Imagine paying for a high end product to have no working fridge or freezer for a family of 6. Not sure how this is an acceptable practice. POOR QUALITY, UNTRUSTWORTHY, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

We purchased a DACOR double wall oven (MOH2275) in April 2012. We are waiting for service to arrive for the fourth time since we purchased the oven. I find this unacceptable. We have had 2 other ovens in the last 30 years and they did not need any service. In general I have found appliances to be of such reliability that I dont get extended warranties. DACOR gave a 3 year warranty on this oven and now I know why. Hopefully this service will fix it for a long period of time.On the positive side, the oven really works well. It is so well insulated that we feel very little heat coming off it. One serious flaw its overall operation is the reheating of the oven. If I bake something at 350 degrees and then want to reset the over to 450 degrees, the oven does not go into preheat mode and does not let you know when you reach the required temperature. I am hopeful this will last awhile and not have to be replaced for what we paid for it.

Don’t purchase Dacor appliance - it’s been worst purchase experience ever and I am extremely disappointed. After six months since I purchased the Dacor built-in refrigerator, Dacor couldn’t even ship the proper installation parts and my refrigerator is still not working. Problems:1. Their high end $11K Dacor built-in refrigerator cannot even be installed. Wasted five months communicating with both Dacor and the retailer AppliancesConnection. After five months they were still able to ship the proper missing installation parts. Over the past five months, I talked to six different team members in Dacor customer support team, escalated to customer support lead and also talked to their regional technical manager, none of them is able to solve my problem and ship the right installation parts.a) Their process is extremely messy. Their customer support team had no idea about installation requirement of the refrigerator. And the request from their customer support team is declined by their internal Parts department again and again, only to find out installation parts should’ve shipped by the retailer. This is extremely confusing now and no one in the team seems to understand the right process.b) After Dacor acquired by Samsung, their manufacturing process is very messy and parts are extremely confusing. There’s one version of required installation parts in Dacor manual and one version of Samsung parts in the Parts guide, and no one in the team seems to understand the difference and how to map from one to another (they insist on sending me Samsung parts instead, claiming they’re compatible). I am now the expert myself to understand all their parts and able to identify many problems in their manual.2. As a high end brand, Dacor doesn’t seem to care about their customer at all. As a customer who did kitchen remodeling and had no refrigerator to use for five months, no one in the team seems to care about their brand or their customers. With this huge gap in the process, no one thinks about the problem from their customer’s perspective or shared empathy with me. Dacor as a brand is really bad and I am extremely disappointed in both their product and services.

Dacor Fuel Range broken door - My Dacor is by now 13 years old. I see from other reviews that the problems I have with my range have not been addressed in newer models--the same problems exist. When I received my Dacor, there was a crack in the front, above the door. It was small, and Id just had a baby so I let it go. I noticed that the door did not close either, and because I did not address it within a year, Im out of luck. But youd think that making an oven with a door that closes snug would be a top priority. It only closes properly when in cleaning mode. My oven window became brown and I cannot clean it. Its a shame that these things are messed up because the convection seems to work wonderful and the oven is fairly attractive. If the door closed all the way. Im getting ready to consider a new oven. I have had my 30 inch Dacor Dual Fuel Range since 2002. In the past month, the oven door seems to be falling apart. I had to replace the oven door handle after the handle cracked in the spots on the right hand side where the screws go in. When I tried to screw the new handle in, I noticed that the front panel on the door is lifting away from the door. It is more separated on the right hand side which leads me to believe that it is the reason that the handle cracked on that side. As a result, the handle cannot be properly installed. The only way this can be repaired is to call someone in to do it and it will either have to be glued together or the whole door would need replacing. Reading these forums, Im worried that my oven problems are just beginning and I dont want to start sinking money into this oven. I purchased a Dacor as I believed it was a high quality product and that it would be worth the money and last a long time. This type of problem should not be occurring. I do not consider 10 years a long time for a product like this. My sister has had her Jenn Air oven for almost 20 years and it has no signs of wearing out.

We purchased a Dacor dual fuel oven range in 2008 in conjunction with an extensive kitchen remodel. It was beautiful and expensive. It has had innumerable problems. 2008: One of the igniters broke requiring replacement. 2014: oven stopped working, required new relay board. June 2020: Relay board again broke, oven stopped working. December 2020: Oven stopped working, heating element broke. These were serious problems each resulting in 1-2 months without an oven as the parts had to be special ordered. We have not had an oven since December 2020 (it is now March 2021). We are waiting for a replacement part. In addition, minor problems included a broken indicator light and burner grating. Dacor customer service was only moderately helpful, referring us to local repair companies that had difficulty obtaining parts. Dacor has told us that this should last decades but we are seriously considering replacing it after 12 years because it is very unreliable. I would not recommend a Dacor based on our experience.

My wife and I purchased a new Dacor dishwasher, new Dacor range and new Dacor microwave oven. Unfortunately, the dishwasher never worked and were now going through the process of getting the unit repaired. A repair technician was sent out and discovered a new CPU was needed. Then once the CPU was installed, a new circulatory pump was needed. And finally, once the circulatory pump can in, the unit still doesnt work. Weve had the technician in four separate times (installation, tech inspection, CPU install, and circulatory install) and each visit is approximately one week between visits. Yes, were now going on four weeks without a dishwasher that we paid for. Beyond that, someone needs to be home each time they visit. So now Im without a dishwasher for four weeks and I have to take four days off of work so a technician cannot fix my dishwasher. When I called Dacor customer service and asked for a temporary unit until mine is fixed, they simply stated we dont do that. Dacor may be a premium appliance manufacturer but they do not have a premium customer service department. So buyer beware, if your unit has any problems Dacor will not rush, hurry or try to accommodate you. Im sure the unit will eventually get fixed but after a month of waiting, I believe Ive earned the right to warn others about Dacors business practices. We purchased the unit from Pacific Sales in Corona, CA. When we asked Pacific Sales for assistance they said it was a Dacor issue and refused to assist us. Right after it was installed, I called and said they needed to come and adjust the temperature control. It was off at least 50 degrees. It never held the correct temperature. Since July, we have had to replace 2 relay boards, two other parts that should take care of erratic temperature. Then I noticed the gasket was turning black in the corner and my glass pack in the window was steaming up and not clearing. The extended warranty would not cover the glass replacement and I was charged $126. They said it was cosmetic, but this was so bad that I couldnt see through half the glass. Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range and Microwave - Where to begin? Perhaps at the end is best. Dacor appliances are shoddy, unreliable, outrageously expensive to repair and there is no customer support. That about covers it. We bought the above noted pair during our kitchen renovations 8 years ago. We thought that Dacor was a premium brand that would give us long trouble free service. How wrong we were! The only thing Premium about them is the price. 4 years ago, the microwave door refused to latch. Thanks to YouTube, I found out how to remove the door backing and found that the plastic part that comprised the latch was broken. Dacor was contacted - they no longer had the part. Try the open market I was told. I managed to jury rig a repair by using a wooden shim. 3 years ago, the range packed it in. Another repair - this time I was told it was the circuit board that had failed and which was replaced to the tune of $700 and I was cautioned that the second circuit board was not working very well - the interior light would not illuminate and the blue lights indicating a lit burner didnt work, and I should change it too. The smaller circuit board was costed out at $400. Last week, the door latch motor failed and the range began to beep incessantly. Now the oven cannot be used and repair costs quoted over the phone were in the 1000$ range. Thats it for us. Dacor is junk and belongs where its headed - the junkyard. Dont buy Dacor. Live and learn I guess.

I owned a 36 Dual Fuel Epicure range that required at least an annual repair for the same thing. The control pad (the pad with the buttons that controls the oven and light) would fry. This would cause the oven light to come on and off like a strobe light. Luckily, I purchased an extended warranty from the vendor, as each time this was replaced it was $750+ to repair. When I complained to Dacor on their support line, the representative actually told me that I was running the oven too hot!About 6 months ago, I sold the house and left the very expensive range behind. It was problematic from day one. Other repairs included replacing the ignitors. After a year of use, the insulation on the door came loose and was hanging in plain view through the window on the door. Every repairman that came to service the range said the same thing.... that they repair a lot of Dacors. When it worked, it was a great range. If you do buy a Dacor, do yourself a favor, buy the extended warranty. You will need it and it will pay for itself.

The appliance repair tech ordered wrong relay board. They called me today and now said its going to cost $650.00, no warranty. Do not buy Decor products. They are horrible. I feel I am being ripped off by Dacor and feeling untrusting of the Appliance Co. I may need to file another complaint with Better Business Bureau. Buyers beware!

We remodeled our kitchen less than 5 years ago. As we have owned restaurants in the past, we wanted commercial quality appliances. I was looking at Sub-Zero and Viking or Wolf. Unfortunately I took my Home Center convince me to purchase A Dacor package. That was a mistake. Even though these appliances cost as much as the those brands, the quality is not even close. After spending $22,000 on appliances I have quickly discovered that these appliances are junk. First the microwave began to arc and nearly caught fire. Even when they installed my cooktop. I noticed that the burners in the middle were marked incorrectly and the blue LED indicating the burners are on was burnt out. After only a few years, now my ovens are not working. And right before Thanksgiving I am without ovens. My old ovens were almost 50 years old and worked fine. These $6000 plus ovens are not even 5 years old and are down. I am kicking myself for not going with my original plan. If you are considering Dacor, I would not recommend.

We purchased this oven February 2009. On 6/7/11, we had to replace the touch pad assembly. On 12/16/13, we again had to replace the touch pad assembly with a cost of repair to this point of over $900.00. The over cost $2,395.00 when purchased. On 3/16/14, while on convection/bake the oven switched over to broil. On 3/20/14, a repairman came to the house. The condition did not replicate but the repairman, in conversation with Dacor, determined that the fix, if this should happen again, would require the replacement of the relay board and ERC control at a cost of $700.00. On 3/27/14, while on convection/bake, the oven switched over to broil. I called Dacor and was forced to leave a message.

Dacor Distinctive Series Range model DR30D - One week after the appliance warranty expired, the oven stopped heating. The repair man replaced the circuit board. We still got a code 33 when we try to get the oven to heat to 400 degrees. Called customer service, they said to flip the breaker to the unit off for a few minutes. Seemed to help but we do not use the oven much, as we also have a Meile microwave/oven that we love and use that more. Then I cleaned the oven using only the ovens program. That locked down all of the gas cook top knobs. I called the repair service, it snowed on the Saturday of the appointment. They cancelled. I did not check the stove on Sunday. On Monday the repair service walks in and simply turns it on, no problem. VERY FISHY!!! I have heard the manufacture can control it by computer chips. This appears to be very true. Now the stove does not heat past 250 degrees. After speaking to a few people it appears this is a very common issues. Dacor is a lemon. Do not waste your time and money.

When my husband and I built our home 11 years ago, I splurged and got a Dacor ERD36 36 dual fuel range. During the process of our build, our builder dropped my range during the installation. Dacor was very quick to send out a servicer to make sure the performance of the range was not compromised. The only thing that needed to be replaced was a bent bullnose in the front and the kickplate. I have had one service call in 11 years, which was last year after a brownout in my neighborhood caused my clock and oven setting to go crazy. It had nothing to do with function and had nothing to do with shoddy manufacturing. I just got it fixed and continue to use my range every day. I am looking to expand my island because I need another oven and I am very excited to add a Dacor oven to my home with zero hesitation. I am looking at a DO130S. I would buy Dacor over and over again!

I purchased my 30 range and was so excited! Well no longer. First the wrong range was delivered. I had to wait another three weeks for the correct one. My oven can not cook at all. Temp fluctuates by 100 degrees. Going on my third service call and still not working. It very unfair, I have to take time off work to wait for repair person, then nothing is fixed. I wish I could return this lemon. But after reading other reviews I am not alone. Why is this company not accountable for ripping hard working people off. I love cooking. Its my passion. I wish we had seen these reviews before we spent 6k on an oven and cooktop. Ordered cooktop and oven in November. Custom color over to match cabinets, still have not received oven (were at the 8 week maximum wait time already). Cooktop appeared fine when we received, but when we went to install, noticed something rattling inside. Looking through vent, noticed several broken interior pieces moving around. Contacted Dacor 3 weeks ago for a replacement or repair, and still nothing. They made us go through dealer, and last week told dealer we refused service. Ridiculous! Now they are telling dealer they cant find a servicer nearby. Am considering declining payment through credit card company for their lack of follow through and service, and let them come get their unit.

We bought a new house a couple years ago, and the kitchen came with a suite of new Dacor appliances - range, fridge, and dishwasher. They are all terrible. The led indicator on the dishwasher is scrambled. The icemaker in the fridge clogs up into a solid block of ice. We had this fixed, which involved a new control board and some caulking, but the problem returned not long after. The knobs on the range feel like theyll snap off any time. The lights in the oven arent seated properly and they interfere with the oven racks. It takes forever to get up to temperature. And Im starting to think I have a gas leak. How can these products be so expensive and such utter garbage? Oh, but they have wifi!

We purchased our range (Dacor Dual Fuel Range RSD30) in about 1997 thinking we had a good investment. We have replaced the bezel 5 times (the area that encloses the control area). Today the door glass has cracked. Whooppee! Merry Christmas! Each time I called about the bezel, I was told that they had a design flaw. The last time we had to replace the bezel and also pay for installation ourselves. We decided if this happened again, we would get rid of it. Well, it will be sooner than later as the oven glass has cracked. Needless to say, we are not return customers.

I spent a lot of money buying a Dacor double wall oven because it was supposed to be top of the line and dependable. Now, the circuit board needs to be replaced and the oven is just 5 years old! This seems absolutely ridiculous for an oven this young to have such a major problem! I am very upset about all the money I am going to have to spend to fix it. Ive never, ever had any oven problems with other brands like this in my life. We remodeled our kitchen and I thought I was getting something better and now I realize that this brand is not living up to my expectations at all! We were out of state from December 21, 2014 to January 2, 2015. The condition of the refrigerator was discovered at about 9:30 PM on Saturday, January 2nd. Upon opening the door the Dairy Compartment Cover fell to the floor. We could immediately see the damage but did not know the source. As a result, the unit was turned off. The owners manual was consulted along with a review of the Dacor website. The office was closed on the weekend so Monday was the earliest we could obtain names of Dacor authorized repair agents in the Phoenix area. A authorized Dacor repair technician stated the light switch or light circuit in the board failed. The interior light bulbs located at the top of the refrigeration side of the unit remained on when the refrigerator door was closed. The heat generated by the continuously lit bulbs led to the melting and charring of the plastic light fixture. The light socket melted, the wiring harness melted into the socket assembly, light switch, and control panel. The heat was intense enough to warp the Dairy Compartment clear plastic cover, some of the adjustable door bins, and the interior door liners. Also, all food containers made from plastic such as salad dressing bottles, mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise, etc. were disfigured. Of course all the contents from both the refrigerator and freezer had to be disposed. Before leaving on an extended trip we had been following the instructions preparing for a vacation listed on page 19 of the owners manual. On our departure date the food that would not have lasted more than two weeks was removed from the refrigerator. The ice bin was emptied and the wire shut off arm was raised to the OFF (O) position. Note, page 19 does not mention to set the Sabbath mode when leaving for a short or long vacation. We were fortunate that the damage was contained within the refrigerator.

Dacor Worst Oven Ever. Major kitchen remodel in 2005. Designer recommended Dacor for great styling and the fact that it was a 36 inch oven. Before the kitchen was even finished the control panel had to be replaced. Since 2005 our local repair shop has had to replace the circuit board 9 times. Same issue every time with not heating and board found every time to be burned out! Dacor replaced the first few boards free but we had to cover the labor. To date more than 5,000 in repairs. Dacor would not replace the oven and had terrible customer service. Its down for the 12th time and its headed to the junkyard this time. I cant see spending another dime on this lemon. We purchased the Model MOH130S in 2006 from a very reputable distributor of high-end appliances. In 2009 we required a service call to deal with temperature control. The oven was out by more than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. This resulted in a relay board, item 101559, to be replaced. Dacor was nice enough to cover the cost of the board, but not the cost of the $152.00 service call. In 2013, guess what? Relay board, this time out by more than 50 degrees, item # 101559 required replacement again only this time it was not covered and cost of $628.00. Here we are, 2016 waiting for the service provider again as temperature is out by over 60 degrees. Roasts, Turkeys, Chickens and everything else have been dying slow deaths in this unit and are awaiting yet another bill to deal with temperature control. Dacor will do nothing until another $150 service call confirms the problem. Hmmm! What to do?

Updated on 01/25/2021: After my review in December of 2020 I have continued to fight for a resolution with Dacor. Dacor appeared to be unable to resolve the issue and sent the issue to parent company Samsung. Samsung set up an appointment for repair then cancelled it saying parts were not available and that they would authorize a refund. I supplied the invoice and filled out all necessary documentation, including my banking information so they could wire the money. Today, a Samsung representative called and said I needed to talk to Dacor to finish the process, even though I was told everything was approved.I called Dacor and to no ones surprise they said this would have to be approved and only one person can make that decision and they are hard to get in touch with. Oh, and by the way, 10 days ago the second oven failed. Yes, the large oven that did not work when I purchased the unit. It was repaired in September and has already failed again. I now have a double oven Dacor range and neither works. This week begins my 10th week of fighting with Dacor for them to honor my warranty (again the unit was installed in August 2020) or refund the purchase price. At this point the range has been out of commission half the time I have owned it. I strongly suggest you heed the warnings here on this site. I wish I had listened.Original Review: On August 3, 2020 I purchased a 48 Dacor Gas Range. It was installed a couple of weeks later and the large oven did not work. It took better than a week for Dacors authorized service company to come out and diagnose the problem. The parts took another week to be shipped and then another week to have the repair made. It was a defective thermostat that was preventing the oven from igniting.Fast forward to November 24. In preparing for a big Thanksgiving, we turned on the small oven, only to find that it did not turn on. It had the exact symptom as the large over and would not ignite. I reached out by email to the agent at Dacor who had worked with me before, only to receive the below response: Thank you for contacting Dacor – We are no longer able to provide support by e-mail. Please contact us at U.S. Toll free: 833-353-5483 we are happy to provide personal support. Now begins the worst customer service experience of my lifetime. After opening a case, I have now talked with a dozen different agents and have yet to receive a resolution to my problem - a range that cost over $7,000 that did not work out of the box and has now failed again in a three-month period. I have spent hours on the phone and on hold and was eventually directed to Samsung on December 9 because Dacor could not get the parts. Samsung promised to refund the purchase price of the product is the parts did not come available by December 16.December 16 rolled around and now Dacor is saying that Samsung made the promise, but that they are different companies. Remember, Dacor directed me to Samsung and Samsung does own Dacor. I have been told that the parts for my oven are no longer available. After continuing to push the issue I am told that it is now in management review but that it may take 2 weeks for a decision on my case. It has now been nearly a month since I opened the case and I appear no closer to reaching a resolution on my failed Dacor range. I have asked to speak with a manager, but I keep being told this is not possible right now.I do believe that Dacor is in breach of their warranty. I have been more than reasonable in allowing them to remedy the situation. Since this was installed just over four months ago, it has been out of service in one of the two ovens for a total of 7 weeks. For anyone considering the purchase of a Dacor appliance, I strongly caution you to read the reviews on this site and other sites. If you are lucky and get an appliance that works and never fails, you might be happy. If you ever have to invoke your warranty you will hate your life. I regret that I did not heed the warnings. It is truly unbelievable to me that in 2020, any company can stay in business when they display such disregard for their customers. Be warned.

Oh how I wish I never bought a Dacor! It has been nothing but problems. I figured I bought a lemon but after reading other reviews its just not a good product with not very good customer service either. I have had repairs every year, and even after repairs it still isnt functioning as it should. The first problem I had was the whole glass window blew out during baking, which seems to me is a huge liability. The company said that shouldnt happen but is out of warranty and would give me a discount on the glass. I thought that was better than nothing but then 6 months later the relay went out, then baking temps were all over the place in the oven so they said I needed a new motherboard and they said both ovens needed it. So those were repaired. Oh ya and the light in the bigger oven hasnt worked past the first year even after having the light changed and some electrical stuff done on it. Then I had the bulbs changed due to irregular oven temps. The temps are still all over the place to this day.The back right corner gets too dark. The front left doesnt brown and is a lower temp. Now Im having problems with the oven turning off during baking and when using broil in the small oven it causes the large ovens probe alarm to go on and offer at least for an hour. Dacor didnt help me with anything past the glass and its only been 7 months since the new motherboards were put in. I cant afford to buy a new oven at this time and so I only use the small oven mainly since the larger has so many problems. Do yourself a favor and never buy a Dacor!

Talked into spending $4700 on a wall oven on the recommendation of an appliance retailer. My concern was even baking and reliability. Was told I would be very happy as Dacor was best on the market. Well long story short, it never cooked evenly and after 8 years quit working. Had to lug the heavy oven to the city to an approved service provider. They thought it was the relay board (told the brains of the oven). Service provider changed several things (sensors, board and whatever else). Nothing solved problem. Phoned me and said I was looking at minimum $2000 and up. He threw oven in garbage. We didn’t even send the gas money to bring the dud home.Thought it should last longer than 8 years. I phoned Dacor. They wanted to know exactly what the problem and diagnosis was so I told them to phone the Service Provider. Said they would but I had to email copy of receipt which I did. I recently complained about my Dacor dishwasher that would stop running during the cycle because of a faulty circuit board and touch pad. The repair would have cost me $500.00 to replace the entire touch pad and circuit board and the Customer Service department was not in the least helpful or concerned. After making the complaint on this site, I received an email the next day from James who was very nice and asked for the model, serial number of my dishwasher and who was the repair company I used. I emailed the information back to him and after verifying my information, he informed me that the parts would be shipped to my house at no cost and I would only have to pay for the service call! We originally called Dacor for service but they could not get to it for 2 weeks. An appliance repairman installed a new heater for the defroster. This only worked a short time and happened twice with a cost of over $1000. A couple of months ago, it happened again, and we were able to get a hold of ** at Dacor customer service. She knew exactly what was causing the problem. She ordered the parts and directed a factory-approved repairman to install over $800 in parts and we are confident the issue is resolved. Thank you, Dacor, for standing behind your products.

I purchased a column, panel ready fridge and freezer. There was a promotion for 10% rebate, which took me 3 months of emails to obtain and they only issued a partial rebate even though I supplied them with proof of purchase. The service was dismal. The app for the cameras and interface with the appliance hasnt worked the whole time I have had the units. They look pretty and work ok as far as cooling, but for the price they charge they should provide exceptional customer service and being that Samsung owns them you would think that the app would function.

This is an update on my posting regarding our ER36DSCH/NG posted Dec 30, 2013. A Dacor representative has been in contact with us and has offered to install a new oven control which they think will resolve our problem. We are absolutely thrilled and quite surprised that they are footing the entire expense. Now this is what I call good customer service! Thank you Dacor.

I am very, very pleased to report that I was contacted by Dacor a day after I posted my review which addressed a second failed relay board in 7 years. A really helpful Customer Service Representative called me (not emailed) to discuss the issue in great detail. Within a matter of days, a local repair service had received the new part from Dacor and scheduled an appointment with me to come out and replace the defective part. Dacor covered both the part and the labor. Im really sorry that the oven needed a second major repair but I will say that Im impressed with Dacors resolution of this issue!

I have an older cooktop. Yes it is 15 years going strong but I have ran into a few issues where I know the repairs would be pricey but especially the parts. After talking to a few representatives, they truly want to help you. Nothing is free and I don’t expect it to be, but I am glad they they helped me get my cooktop back to functioning again. I hope someone finds this helpful before reading or writing bad reviews.

Dacor ERD30S06CHLP 30 Inch Epicure Series Freestanding Dual-Fuel - I am so
Dacor ERD30S06CHLP 30 Inch Epicure Series Freestanding Dual-Fuel - I am so dissatisfied with this product. We bought the first range in 2003 and were so excited to use it. We chose Dacor over Wolf. From the beginning we had issues with the oven. It cooked very unevenly and the door never closed properly. We had a service call and they basically told us that we got a lemon. They offered us a new range for $3.5K. We thought we got a lemon so we agreed and paid for a new one for $3.5k. We also purchased the extended warranty for $2.2K.0 This one was even worse. One time I opened the oven and it burned my eyelashes. I wrote and complained with a video of the explosion and had to pay for the service call. I wrote a review in the website and they deleted it. We now own a range that we have paid over $10K that bakes unevenly, electric element does not work in oven and have minor explosions from time to time with a door that does not close. We have a few friends who have asked us about our range and we always recommend against it. We are looking for a new range. I would not recommend this range. I thought we got a lemon. But it seems thats just the product.

I remodeled a kitchen in a high end house and so wanted nice appliances. I had KitchenAid (which Id had a lot of issues with) for about 16 years. (Since I built the house - the fridge was rebuilt 3 times.) While looking for which appliances to use we were at an open house and a chef was cooking and giving a talk on the Dacor ovens in it. So... I reviewed a lot, liked what I read, and chose Dacor. I love them, the cook quality, the features, all of it. BUT my double oven had issues from the start. An annoyance at first with the built in Android but I didnt complain a lot. Move forward 1.5 years and the Android tablet built into it would freeze and not restart without throwing a jumper on fuse box. I called Dacor and they gave me a number of options, disable the Android because of a known issue and get $500 back, or - return the oven for full credit and theyd pay to have it removed (1.5 years later... cmon thats pretty awesome), or - pay $500 and move to the newest higher end model with steam cooking. Wow, talk about stand by your product! Ive never seen this before with an appliance manufacturer/vendor. Certainly wasnt my experience with KitchenAid. Anyway Im an advocate even though I had a problem and thought they deserved credit here.
