My Fisher & Paykel GWL11 Washer quit working a week ago. The repairman has been here twice, once to diagnose and then again to install valve and pump. The washer still does not work; the spin cycle will not work. He will come out here again to see if the problem is with the board. Based on what I am reading in this forum, perhaps I should cut my losses and go buy a new washer. I wish I had my old dependable Maytag. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to buy another washer.

I am a rural American, I have used the Fisher & Paykel washing machine for 4 years and have continually smelled mold and mildew. Today, the washer spilled water all over my laundry room, so I took the entire machine apart. As I suspected, there was mold and slime all over it. Why does water sit on the bottom of this washing machine all the time and what can I do to correct this problem other than go buy a GE?

I bought a Fisher and Paykel refrigerator. It was one of the few fridges that had the right size dimensions to fit in my kitchen. In terms of performance, there are some good things about it and there are some things I’ve been disappointed about it. I like the quality of the shelving, that it’s glass and that there’s metal on the doors. The fan inside the refrigerator is a little loud, that’s one of my complaints. The other complaint is that it doesn’t make very much place and I wish the freezer was a little larger. It’s kind of funny, sort of V shaped. Because of that, it doesnt hold as much as it could than if it was more like a traditional square shape. This F&P refrigerator did not meet my expectations considering the price.

We owned this product and is SUCKED. Always breaking down. Only Fisher Paykel can service it and the are outrageously expensive. Most recently we had a tech spend almost a month trying to fix our dishwasher. He was finally successful and we paid almost $400 in parts and labor. 3 weeks later it stopped working again. Fisher and Paykel support team including Matthew ** the service manager (who took a week to get back to me) said they cannot refund because the parts were already installed. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM FISHER AND PAYKEL!

I fell in love with it when I saw it. I took it home and everything was good. Tech came out and fixed the dryer and the washer within my 2-year warranty. The warranty ran out and the dryer tore up again. Tech came and repaired it, costing me around $150.00. Now, the washer does not work again and I am so upset. I thought that I had the perfect set and I was mistaken. I didn’t even mind paying more for it. I should have gotten a different brand that was cheaper but would have lasted longer. I feel like every year, it tears up and I have to pay for it to be replaced. I really wanted these to last.

Our Fisher & Paykel Induction stove/Electric Range is apparently a dud.
Our Fisher & Paykel Induction stove/Electric Range is apparently a dud. It is less than 3 years old and so you would not think these sorts of things would happen. The oven began shutting itself off, during its use, for no apparent reason. Sometimes it would shut off within seconds, other times during a cycle and so there would not be any warning, I would just come around the corner and see the light flashing and know that it had shut itself off. F&P suggested I contact the nearest authorized service tech. I had to explain, to 3 different people, (even sent a map) that the person they were recommending was a 10 hour drive, with a 2 hour ferry ride.I finally found a local person who is willing to look at my range but only if he can obtain a service manual so he can look the product over first, before coming out. Fisher & Paykel say only authorized people can have a copy. This person is willing to fix my range and they wont let him. Now a new problem appeared today. I suddenly have 2 elements not operating. There is an error code coming up, on the 2 elements on the same side, even though I am only trying to turn 1 of them on. And, the kicker is, there is no such error code in their consumer manual that is displayed on my stovetop. I strongly recommend people stay away from Fisher & Paykel.

I had an old dryer before and thought I would upgrade. I purchased this dryer and my light bill went from $80 a month to $145 a month. I pulled the fuse to the dryer and my meter slowed down like a turtle. When the dryer is running, my meter looks like it is in a race. I cant believe how much power it uses. Now it sits there and I dry my clothes at a laundromat.

I went to Warners Stellian here in the Twin Cities. I asked what are my options for a 36-inch unit. I had no background on Fisher & Paykel. I got their 36-inch stove. It works, it heats up to temperature. The burners on top are a little bit more aggressive. I would have liked to have a different simmer burner than what I have on there but all things considered, I would give it a 9 out of 10. It is beautiful. I didnt buy it originally because of cost. Its truly a beautiful piece of equipment. I would definitely consider, its a beautiful artistic design and it looks absolutely stunning in my kitchen. It was nineteen years before I got a kitchen remodel and it is a beautiful piece.. Theres a glitch for some reason - if I start the burner on top, it can turn the oven off, I have to be real careful for that. Im not sure why, I should probably check into it. But this is what I like the best out of it and Ill be honest with you - the oven heats to temperature PERFECTLY. And I have such a respect for that because thats what its supposed to do. Thats why you buy an oven! That Whirlpool took an hour to heat to 300 and you have to set it. You dont have enough paper to write my comments on that one.

When I first saw my new fridge, I was like, Ooh, how pretty! I liked the look of it, sleek and nicely designed. The last refrigerator I owned was just ok, but my first ever that I had bought. I noticed that the Paykel was European and that was impressive to me. The price was a good one and it seemed very well received online as well. It had good reviews and such, so I went ahead and tried it. Very nice. Currently, I rent my rooms and my roommates like it very much too.

I, too, was coerced by a salesperson at Lowe’s to pay a huge sum for a washer/dryer set. When delivered the dryer did not work after 3 days. I only agreed to them bringing a new dryer. The dryer does not dry well and always taking twice as long as the washer, even though I am vigilant about keeping lint traps and piping clean. Now it is making a high pitched whining sound--bearings? The washer is constantly out of balance even though it is level and on a concrete floor. It spun clothes nearly dry when new, but now I sometimes run the spin cycle a second time to remove more moisture. Thought I would read reviews before calling the repairman. I now think I might go shopping instead of throwing more money at a hopeless situation. I will never buy this brand again and long for my old Maytag set.

From the day I purchased my Fisher Paykel washer, it leaked. I had service techs out at least 5 or 6 times to repair it. First, they told me I was using too much laundry detergent. So I cut it in half. That was wrong, it still leaks. After 2 years, now, it has started making a high-pitched squealing sound. First, it started only when it started filling, then when it started to spin, and now all the time. It still leaks. Thank goodness, I was smart enough after the first flood to purchase a drain pan to sit it in, or I would be replacing floors constantly. The agitator has had to be replaced 3 times already. I would not recommend any Fisher Paykel appliances to anyone. The company is no help at all and the appliance store ( Maidencreek TV & Appliance, Reading, Pa) are useless. Their service techs are hopeless, as to what to do to fix the problem. They recommended I purchase an extended warranty since I was having so much trouble with the unit. If you want to throw your money away, just purchase a Fisher Paykel appliance. My new GE washer and dryer arrives on Friday. I told my husband to leave the washer in the yard and every time I use my new unit, I want to beat the Fisher Paykel with a sledge hammer and after that, I want to hook a chain to it and drag it behind my truck.

My granddaughter was getting married and moving into a home and needed a lot of help with outfitting it so I gave her my old washer and dryer. So then I went out to an appliance store looking for a new washer and dryer and found out about Fisher & Paykel. I had good recommendation from the owner who told me that’s what he had at his house so I chose to buy this brand and I’ve been very satisfied with my first F&P washer and dryer. Really, there are some things that are much better than the previous ones we’ve owned - I think that they spin water out more and the clothes are dryer when you take them out of the washer to put them in the dryer. They don’t have as much water in them so less dry time.

Warning! We purchased this Fisher and Paykel top loading dryer in 2007. It has worked okay until now. I have not used the dryer in 4 days. Today, I found the dryer hot - very very hot. All the indicator lights were off. The outside of the heating element inside the drum was so hot to the touch it almost burned me. I purchased an F&P dryer a few years ago and after replacing the heating elements 3 or 4 times while under warranty and trying to blame me, the vent, or my electricity, which they couldnt support after inspection, and after I ruined a couple hundred dollars worth of clothes when the heating element broke and remained on when the dryer had stopped (not to mention getting burned when I reached in expecting the dryer to be cold since it had gone through is cooling cycle), F &P replaced my dryer with a newer model. Well, the elements on this model have gone out of it multiple times. Yes, my vents are clean, yada yada yada. I did have to laugh that they changed their warranty to 1 year because of their cost in repairing the elements and other parts. They recommended I move my dryer to an exterior wall so that it had an extremely short exhaust run. They also told me they beefed up the elements to make them more durable. Unfortunately, the elements cost more than $80.00 each time they break, and because F&P hasnt been forced to fix the problem, we as consumers are expected to continue to pad their pocket with repair costs. I should add that twice, when a tech was in my house, he wouldnt put my dryer back together to use with one working element because he said it was a fire hazard. Fire hazard! Does somebody have to die before F&P actually addresses this issue? It has been brought to their attention.

I already had one of the F & P double-drawer dishwashers at our other house before we moved here and we gathered the whole kitchen here. I put a single-desk drawer on each side of the sink and then a regular storage drawer below so I don’t have to bend over. I chose the Fisher & Paykel appliance because I was fascinated by the concept of the desk drawers and design-wise, doing things a little different. And then when we downsized from a 6000 square foot home to a 3000 square foot home, my husband and I both said we wanted to get them again. So we went 90 miles away to get them. We like the new models of F & P appliance compared with the old ones we’ve had in the past. They’re better, and the new ones are so quiet. We just love them.

Very dissatisfied with Fisher Paykel. I bought 4 appliances from them totaling over 11,000 dollars. The dishwasher was missing parts and the refrigerator did not work. After 6 weeks of back and forth with the company giving me misinformation and every employee telling me different things to do and making me in charge of lining up appliance service with 4 days needed off of work that resulted in them not replacing a bad refrigerator but saying they would repair. The wheels were also broken with the services which ruined my floor and once they replace the refrigerator they will not guarantee. They do a typical customer service routine, but could care less about the actual customer. My next home would never have their appliances.

The Fisher Paykel refrigerator model E522B is made with junk plastic parts
The Fisher Paykel refrigerator model E522B is made with junk plastic parts that continue to break, and we are not rough on our appliances, as we are senior citizens, and previously owned a Frigidaire refrigerator, that lasted us over 25 years without one repair. However, in one year this Fisher Paykel refrigerator has had the following parts replaced: the rear caster wheels (broken on delivery), the plastic cover on the freezer door (broken when replacing the stripped freezer door handle), the plastic door closer under the door hinge has broken twice now, and a foam insulation kit was installed to help reduce the popping noises from the compressor. F&P customer service takes its good old time in responding to online inquiries about their products, and makes you jump through hoops, before they respond. They dont believe you, even after you register the product online with them, and inform them of how many times the unit was serviced as they still ask for proof (now want photos and receipts), when something breaks. Dont they have a computer system that logs the reimbursements they have made to service repair companies on their products? This will be our last purchase of New Zealand made junk as they seem to have no pride with craftsmanship!

We bought Fisher Paykel washer last year and I cant say enough good things
We bought Fisher Paykel washer last year and I cant say enough good things about it so when our Maytag drier broke I bought the Fisher Paykal drier that matched the washer even though the salesman recommended another brand. Ive given the drier several months and I still hate it. The worst problem is that the auto dry function does not work. The clothes consistently come out over dried. In fact Im surprised my bedspread didnt catch on fire in the drier. When I removed it (because I felt it had been in the drier too long) the panel still said it was damp but it was so cooked that it was completely puckered up and crisp in places. I had to replace it. Clothes still have lint all over them and I hate the fact that the timer can only be set for predetermined amounts of time and that I have to wait for the lid to unlock every time I want to open the lid. It’s a bad design flaw! I wish I could replace it but it seems Im stuck with it now. All I can do is to warn others.

This was my official complaint to Fisher and Paykel. I bought your product
This was my official complaint to Fisher and Paykel. I bought your product (washer and dryer) from Lowes 4 years ago. I spent roughly $1600-$1700. The product ran pretty well, and I enjoyed them for most part until our dryer stopped heating. I assumed it was the heating element, so I called around to see if I could have some service it. No one other than A&E Appliance Company services it. Every appliance service company said they used to service it, but could not get info and parts for them so they stopped. A&E sent someone out here for the service. He had no idea how to work on it. He spent 2 hours trying to open the dryer and had to have someone on the phone the whole time to tell him what to do. He finally determined it was the heating element at 8:00 at night. He said he would order the part and schedule a follow up appointment. I waited a week; no call from them. I called them up and asked what the deal was. They had no record of my previous appointment and said no one had ordered the part or made another appointment. I asked if they could give me the servicemans number. They said they did not have their numbers. I asked if they could get in touch with them and they said they would page them to call me. Three days later, no call. I called back and they said they would page them again. Three days later, no call. I said the heck with it and searched for the part myself. I found it, installed it but now there seems to be an electrical problem. I used my meter reader to find where the power failure was at. I thought I found the part that was needed. I went and bought another part, installed it and still it doesnt work. At that point we were a month in and I was $300 down. I was at the point where I was going to buy another dryer and sink the Fisher and Paykel dryer in the closest pond. I called 1 888 936 7872 and explained to them the situation and asked if Fisher and Paykel could make any suggestions before I sunk this piece of junk. They asked for me to call A&E again. I explained that I could not get anyone to come out here and that if I did, I would have to pay at least another $300-$400 for diagnostics, parts and labor. I only paid about $800 for it so that was out of the question. The representative then told me that she would open a file for me and F&P would make sure A&E came out and fixed it at no charge to us. For this I said, that would be great service and show the consumer that F&P was committed to service. We opened a file #** and they said they would call A&E to ensure someone came out to service me ASAP (at no charge). A&E calls me 2 days later and says we will be out there this morning to take a look at it, but I would be charged. I explained that F&P was to handle the charges. They said no. The service request mentioned nothing of that. They asked me to call F&P and sort it out so now I have to be acting as liaison between A&E and F&P. I called F&P again and I had to explain the whole situation again. This time the rep tells me they can probably waive the diagnostic fee but thats it. I said no, forget it, Ill go buy a dependable brand. She said she would contact Michael, who was the person that had authorized the request before, and she said she would call me later that day to let me know what she found out. Two days later, no call. I called A&E and asked if F&P has contacted them; nope! I call F&P again and asked for the status of my request. They say, Oh, no one submitted that request. At this point, I have had enough of playing liaison and being a sucker. I just went to Sears, bought a Maytag and have an $800 F&P dryer sitting in my laundry room that I am about to sink into a pond. I have NEVER in my life experienced such incompetence from two companies. I promise you I will never buy any F&P product ever again, and I have already begun spreading the word to my friends and whoever will listen. If you would like to get in contact with me, you can visit my new Facebook page. Dont ever buy a Fisher and Paykel appliance. I and many others are sick and tired of the lack of service this company provides. Your company’s service, along with A&E’s, is horrible!

The dishwasher needs to be fixed frequently. It seems the parts of machine are made up of materials cant last for some time even when the load of task is not too much. After sale service is completely bad. if you want to buy this brand bear in mind the technician are very lazy and are not concerned about consumers, and take longer time and expect more time than usual. The customer service is very bad as well. I called them several times to book on a service. I was obliged to wait at least half hour with no clear response. My fridge became faulty and I called a Fisher & Paykel (F&P) technician. He recommended that I replace the fridge and gave me a voucher that entitled me to a Loyalty Bonus if I chose the same brand again. I did and submitted my claim for A $50 Gift Card which I was to receive within 48 days. When I did not receive it I contacted F&P who advised that they had already sent it, by ordinary mail. I requested F&P to send me another but they did not accept responsibility for the loss as the Gift Card had been redeemed by somebody. It was their decision (based on their internal policy) to send a Gift Card (which is just as good as Cash) by ordinary mail. Note that postage costs $1 for ordinary and $4.80 for registered mail. I am amazed that an established organization such as F&P acknowledges that they are aware of some issues in recent times where mail has been stolen out of mailboxes but continues to take risks with Gift Cards. They do so knowing very well that it will not be cost-effective for a customer to make a formal claim in a tribunal or court. So when mail gets stolen or lost F&P does not take any responsibility. I have decided that going forward I will not give F&P a single dollar in business because I do not deal with those who are more focused on playing the blame game. F&P may have saved $3.80 in postage but has lost a customer, bought themselves adverse publicity and jeopardised future sales. Good luck to them!

I never post. DON’T BUY A Fisher & Paykel FREEZER! Way too expensive for the freezer to produce 8 ice cubes per 45 minutes. I can’t imagine this product is still on the market. Had service rep out and our ice maker is fine! This freezer is awful. I’d never buy this brand again.

Customer service is NON Existent. I have a F&P two drawer dishwasher. Generally speaking it is a good appliance, but if you need any parts, forget it. The agitator tends to wear out. It only costs about $100 to get a new one and it is dead easy to replace, BUT in my case F&P shipped the WRONG part under the right part number sticker, so the part didnt quite fit, or work. I engaged a professional, who took the very same part number out of her truck and put it in...and everything worked. Cost me an extra $300... but heres the thing. F&P said tough, we dont accept returns even if we made the mistake!... four times. And after talking to some appliance service people, this is apparently pretty common that what is in the box doesnt match the number printed on the box. So beware.

Weve had a Fisher and Paykel washing machine for 12 years. Its durable and the drying cycle, spin cycle is exceptionally good. We have called several times for service and its lacking. We had to go through the store that we bought it from. They were unsure of just how the service was going to be. They gave the names but I dont think they really knew what happens beyond that. Its a typical retailer, you get them on the phone; say you got some service problem and thats probably the last thing they want to hear. I like the brand. I would definitely recommend that particular product. As far as service wise, I think they have a long way to go in making people feel good about the service.

I was first introduced to Fisher Paykel dishwasher drawers about 6 years ago. They were two drawers placed separately on either side of the kitchen sink. They were really wonderful and I had no problems with them. I then bought and renovated two new homes and put fisher paykel dishwashing drawers in both homes. They are the stacked drawers. Have not had problem with them except the bottom one started leaking and the top one smells horribly of mold. I feel it in my lungs every time I breathe in the air after opening the top drawer. I called customer service and spoke to someone from New Zealand (very difficult time understanding her) who said that I should use let it shine from Home Depot and run it through a cycle. Well this did not help so now I have to endure this terrible mold smell every time I open the top drawer. After this experience I am very doubtful I would ever buy another fisher paykel product.

We purchased Fisher and Paykel appliances when we built our home in 2006. The WOS-130 wall oven never heated correctly, could not be repaired, so it was replaced by FP. In 2010, I cleaned the oven, and the oven door would not open and the control panel ceased to operate. We contacted FP. A service rep ordered the new part, and we were responsible for the repair. About 3 weeks ago, I cleaned the oven, and the same thing happened. The first time the repair person came out in 2010, he showed my husband how to unlock the oven. We now have a dilemma because there is no longer a repair company in our area that will come out to repair the unit. I contacted the sales rep from FP by phone and email, and he has failed to return my messages. His name is Jim **. I guess there is no sense in buying an FP self-cleaning oven if every time you need to clean the unit it ceases to operate. I am in quite a dilemma because I cannot get service to my home, and surely cannot afford a new wall oven. I would never buy a Fisher and Paykel appliance again if you cannot get a customer service rep. to respond or service in your area. I am very disappointed with this product.

We bought dishwasher 9/8/15, installed 9/15, did one load in top drawer; neither drawer has worked since. Tech from Fisher & Paykel came out on 9/11, said control board & heating element bad, took them with him. He said he would try to get parts overnighted. Thats the last we have seen or heard from him. We have called, emailed Fisher & Paykel & now they say they will be back on 9/28 between 12 & 5. Fortunately, we have not paid for this thing & have contacted our credit card company regarding the charge & they have sent letter to dealer contesting the charge. A close friend who repairs appliances will not work on these machines, saying they are impossible to fix (wish I had talked to him before purchase). I will update this post after 9/28, but I have a feeling its never going to work right & I think my friend will be uninstalling this thing shortly.

I purchased a Fisher and Paykel fridge model e52213. We had issues with the ice machine not working and then the water dispenser stopped working shortly after buying the fridge. The fridge technician could not isolate the problem. We had ongoing problems with ice temperature and back light display. I sourced the issue with the fridge myself due to the smell of burning wires in the top of the door. I noticed that the wire has no second insulation and that the action of the door could wear or cut by crimping in this area.Three of the wires on our unit have been cut and the other wires are bare. I feel this could be the cause of problems for a lot of other people with this model fridge with ongoing beeping and flashing lights and no temp control. Our fridge is just out of warranty but if the wires had not rubbed or crimped, our fridge would still be operating. I feel this is a design hazard rather than a warranty issue. Our fridge is a right to left opening model. I am not sure if this would make a difference. Looking forward to your response.

I just purchased a new Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer. This is my second pair. My previous set I placed in a rental and decided to get a new set for myself. I had few problems with my older units. I understand my older dryer was actually made by an American company with a Fisher & Paykel nameplate. The new Fisher & Paykel set is a big step backwards for this manufacturer. The new washing machine is noisy and clanks when washing. I don’t know the cause but am assuming it is due to the tub not having a center post in the middle. The control panel has changed too. I would much prefer to be able to just push warm soak or hot wash or cold rinse, rather than pick thru the heavy, bulk, sheet buttons to try and get the wash settings I want. Now, the new dryer is something else altogether! I have a service man coming out to check on the top of the new dryer. This will be his second time out. The top seems to get in the way of the rotating drum and goes boom, boom, and boom every time the dryer drum turns during drying. The tops are flimsy plastic. I have a feeling it warps after being heated when the dryer is on high or low heat or the tops are not properly designed. A top loading dryer was an interesting idea but just wasnt pulled off well. Just buy a front loading dryer. I also have bubbles behind control panel masking. I would suggest interested buyers go to Consumer Reports Magazine and read further evaluations of washer and dryers.

Our drum support broke out of our front load washer and so then I was looking around. A friend recommended a local appliance store and that was the friend that they had featured on their website. So then I went and researched a little about Fisher Paykel and it sounded interesting. We checked it out and we liked it. It seemed like the mechanism was simple so it got fewer things to break on it. And we liked that it was a high efficiency top load so we purchased it. Its a fine washer. I like that it adjusts the water level based on how much clothes you have on. Thats always my favorite thing.

We are on our second refrigerator from Fisher & Paykel. FP replaced the first one after one year of constant problems, frustrations and technicians repairing it. We had the new one for one week and a part just fell off the interior of the door so it would no longer self close on one side. After 2 years, we got an error code for fan failures which, according to the manual, was highly unlikely to ever happen. Repair man came out and replaced the fans. One month later, I noticed the upper fridge area was not very cold, so I adjusted the setting towards colder. A few days later, my husband opened the freezer and ice had accumulated everywhere. We inspected the door seal and all around the drawers and nothing was blocking or preventing the door from shutting. Repair man came back out, inspected the seals as well and determined it was from a leak somewhere in the back of the unit. FP said we were most likely at fault for leaving the door open. Not true! They said we should unplug the unit, remove all food and let defrost for 24 hours. Repair man said that would be such a huge mess and inconvenience for something that will just recur again. I called FP back and got the usual run around with their terrible customer service people. I have wasted so much of my time dealing with Fisher and Paykel. I just want my money refunded so I can buy a product from a reliable company.

I bought three Fisher & Paykel dish drawers for my new kitchen and extended the warranty for 5 years. Throughout the 5 years, 2 of the dishwashers worked perfectly. One we constantly had problems with. Authorized service came out a number of times and said that our dishwasher issues came from these little tiny bugs on our circuit board. Our house has no bugs. Interestingly, I was talking to my friend who loved my dishwasher and when she remodeled her house, she bought two single drawer dishwashers. I was surprised to find that she has one that operates perfectly. The other is plagued with these little bugs and shes disgusted. She also has no bugs in her home either. Now, we are both thinking that this is something that probably came from the warehouse where these were stored. I now have to replace the dishwasher after about 6 years. I’m very, very dissatisfied.

If you are looking for the ability to do different types of loads (light and dirty, or fine dishes and heavy pots) at the same time or if you usually do smaller loads more often and only large loads occasionally, this is the dishwasher for you. The interior of the dishwasher and the racks are amazingly designed. We can fit way more dishes bowls and cups that we thought would be possible in each drawer. The adjustable side shelves allowing for larger items below and then shorter items like coffee cups are so smartly designed. Further, this dishwasher cleans things perfectly. No spots, no missed areas and no running the load a second time to try to get it clean. And it runs on the quiet side for a dishwasher except for an occasional noise here or there when the pump runs to drain water.

My friend’s husband is an engineer and told me they bought a Fisher & Paykel because her husband had done some research and said that they had the fewest moving parts of any washing machine. And fewer moving parts is a good thing. I needed a washing machine, so I bought one and that was four or five years ago, and I’m pleased with it. I just got the dryer in August and I already had to have a new heating element put in. I don’t know if it’s the dryer’s problem or if it’s my ductwork’s problem but the outside vent is getting clogged up and I never had that before. But that doesn’t seem like it could be the dryer’s problem and we haven’t figured out what it is because I don’t think there’s a lot of lint in the lint screen. And so I can’t understand how the lint can bypass the lint screen and go out the outside vent. They need to send a repairman. As far as how they look, they’re fine. In price, they’re all in the same ballpark. And as far as performance, I don’t know because I haven’t tried that many others. I used to be a Whirlpool customer and I had wonderful luck with Whirlpool. But then I bought an Amana washer and dryer in 2004 and I had to replace the washing machine with the Fisher & Paykel, and then I just replaced the dryer. The dryer issue hasn’t been resolved yet but we are quite pleased with our Fisher & Paykel washing machine.

I had a service call due to excessive squeaking. The lint trap screen failed and was subsequently replaced. I also had the washer looked at, because the water was not filling. And drain tube was fixed. He said we would probably need to replace the bearings. My husband replaced the drum bearing, but the drum belt tension roller bearings are original and are probably the culprit of the continued squeak. Also, the dryer not drying very well. Due to economic restraints and cost of bearing and poor design that make service costly, we are looking at ditching the dryer. Based on the premium purchase price, the dryer is certainly not looking to provide the 15- to 20-year trouble-free service life expectancy; and we are highly dissatisfied with this product. My husband has been out of work (under-employed for the past 4, going on 5 years), so service calls are costly. It would be cheaper for us to park it on the curb and buy used reliable dryer than to provide service. Can you help us out? It sure would keep us F&P fans. I have seen you have provided repair for others free of charge. I would appreciate if you could offer the same treatment in our case. Thanks. After two weeks same problem and three weeks. Finally problem was resolved and because of the warranty no cost to me. OK fine inconvenience but no biggie. Two years after this issues with the motor or something all in all cost me $350 TO FIX. I WAS PISSED. Now after 5 years of crappy reliability it again seems to have the original issue.. About 5 years ago we lost our house to a fire. We lost everything so had to purchase all new appliances. We purchased a 2-drawer dishwasher and fridge. Called a repairman and he said it would cost approx. 350.00 to repair the sensors which make the heat come on all the time-so the mold. Cant turn it off. Every time it is opened the heat comes on. The next day our fridge did the same thing as 2 years before..Again we again called Fisher Paykel on both occasion dishwasher and fridge. We were told that appliances have a 4-5 year life and the problem was ours. Both these appliances were very expensive and should have a longer life. When it was finally installed, it didnt work! First, the bottom drawer didnt drain. We called a plumber to come look at it. He called the Fisher & Paykel appliance rep. They recommended that we install two separate drain lines. It still didnt drain. The appliance guy and plumber each came out again and we even tried a different plumber. My former neighbor had a Fisher & Paykel washing machine and when she no longer wanted to top load and we were moving, she offered it to me and it lasted maybe a year. It was not even a two-year old machine and we had to have parts replaced on it. When we moved in here, I bought the Fisher and Paykel top loading dryer because of its energy efficiency and I had multiple problems with that, to the point where it needed to be replaced and then after it was replaced, the service people had to come back in and they had to take off a piece of the top part that was rubbing on the dryer.I replaced my washing machine with a GE and that has been okay. The dryer seemed okay, but I dont trust it and the only way I got service was to call Fisher and Paykel themselves and speak with the representative there. Fisher and Paykel claimed that the representative that supported this area where I live was having family emergencies. Im also having an emergency when I had a lot of laundry to do that I dont have time to go out a Laundromat to do. I hold my breath, I wont leave the house when the dryer is running. I constantly go in and check it because Im just not certain. It took me seven months of dealing with the problem and then finally they agreed to replace the machine with a new one. Its fine, but I still have little hesitation about leaving it unattended. I dont have the money to replace it. When I do I will.

My dryer was going and I recognized it and it was quite old. So rather than putting money into repairing it, I went to a local appliance center here in North Canton thats well known and well respected and they introduced me to the Fisher & Paykel line. I bought a F&P because the warranty was better than everyone else and it has a good reputation... Its a wonderful machine. Its quiet, its efficient and it does a good job!

Well, our washing machine stopped working the other day. It would fill up with water, try to swish back and forth, but seemed very slow and almost stuck. By the time I got home, the water smelled funny from the wash. I tried to cycle it to the rinse and spin cycle to get the smelly water out at least, with no avail. I unplugged it, hoping it would reset. It would then start the wash cycle again, and it would chug a little then just hum, then stop and make an alarm - beeeeeep, beeep (like a fire alarm). So I emptied out the yucky water, and took out the clothes hoping maybe something was catching in it and it would start again. Chugged a little faster, but still stopped and wouldnt spin or drain. Emptied water again.Ok, Im tempted to take it apart but realized maybe it would void the warranty, so decided to google it and it directed me to this site. Boy was I in for a surprise. Based on the comments and reviews, I immediately thought of getting a new machine that was not Fisher Paykel. These units were bought for us in a new home in 2008 from the contractor, so I wasnt sure if my warranty was still good or not. To my surprise, I called the toll free number on this site, and immediately got a representative that deals directly with problems. No wait time. Lisa was very informative, patient, and understanding of the issue. We went through the flow sheet together to try and diagnose the issue. Still no resolution. She offered to send out a Fisher tech at a rate of $85.00 for the consultation and whatever time it would take them to fix it. She guessed maybe only 30 minutes.Lisa offered to supply the parts free of charge, although I might have been out of warranty. Parts could have ranged up to $350. I weighed out the cost versus buying a new unit, and I realize I still would be coming out ahead with the tech. Plus he would be there the next day. Tech showed up early at 9:30am and diagnosed that mattress pad material that we laundered and got stuck in the motor mechanism. Replace motor mechanism as a precaution but would have worked otherwise. Funny thing, I almost suspected that because after I removed the dirty stinky water, it smelled liked something was burnt due to being stuck. But once again, Im just a doctor and no handyman at all, but I still try to do things myself when I can. I always research first, then do.My experience with the company is 4.5 out of 5 stars. Lisa gets 5 stars, the 0.5 stars less was because the tech was there for only 10 minutes top and charged us $65 still? So I wasnt sure about that, but I wasnt home, and my wife didnt know what to expect. I would have challenged his rate, to see if he prorates it or not, but maybe they bill by the hour regardless. I wished he changed my control panel and water pump as a precaution because this seemed to be a known problem, but I wasnt there to ask him. Why? Because if that fails soon, then I will have to pay the service call again along with his time. I hope this doesnt happen, because I might not be so understanding after that. So my bills $150.00. Im very satisfied with how this went down. My machine works, but Im still cautiously optimistic about the longevity of this product. However, I do feel Fisher and Lisa will take care of me if future problems arise. Thanks Lisa, and good luck everyone!

Fisher & Paykel appliances came with the home that I moved in in April. The fridge, the dishwasher and the stove. The fridge is good, the size of the dishwasher is good and I like the style of the dishwasher... theyre very quiet too! The only thing is the top of the stove... it gets dirty and I dont know how to clean it. I use cleaner for stainless steel, for the stove top cleaner, and nothing seems to be able to get off the residue.

Purchased this dryer ($649) in March 2018. The circuit board crashed within the first month. 9 months later I had to have it repaired because small pieces of laundry & the dryer sheet kept getting caught inside the drum, which resulted in tightly twisted clothing stuck to the inside of the drum. I am now awaiting my second circuit board as the dryer malfunctioned again. I had to open the door to the dryer to get it to stop running because none of the controls would work. This is clearly a fire hazard! The appliance store has been great about dealing with these issues but with 3 repairs in less than 19 months, I will never again buy this brand!

I purchased a Fisher & Paykel CoolDrawer for my kitchen renovation. It was installed and never worked. You would think that Fisher & Paykel would be motivated to get the unit repaired or replaced, right? Not in my experience. After waiting a full week to hear back from them on their still pending decision, I am completely disgusted with their polite but ineffective and non-interest in their customer after they take the customers money. Service arrived on MONDAY and stated that Unit needs to be replaced, not repaired. Service uploaded that report to Fisher & Paykel. I called on Tuesday after failing to hear from Fisher & Paykel. Was told resolution is coming! No resolution. Called back Wednesday. Same BS. Called back Thursday. Same BS. At no time did Fisher & Paykel call me, send me an email or contact me in any manner. It is 2017 and that is NO WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER.

Three or maybe four service calls for reset tripping. Second reset is now on order for over a month. I have to take off cover and hit reset to dry clothes. If I get a fire, I will sue - be assured. Never F&P again. Lowes farms out service and they never report to F&P, so they have no record of failures. I see many posts with same problem with dryer, so it seems it’s a design defect. My vent is open and within recommendations for length, bends, etc. Piece of junk.

Tonight is the third time that my washer has stopped working. It does not drain now and will not power on. This washer has been nothing but trouble since purchased. I regret ever getting rid of my old washer. It was dependable. I think this is a sub-standard product and after reading the reviews here, I see that I am not the only person that feels this way. You should not have to have service on such a new product as often as you do on this. I am in good mind to just junk it and go buy a cheap regular washer that I can depend on. I am very frustrated and I am telling everyone that I know to stay away from this product. I have called customer service and left messages, but so far I have not had a return call. The customer service is horrible, too.

When I heard from our local repair man, he said it was the seal and to junk it. It would cost about $80 to repair. A friend who does repairs said it was the seal and maybe the pump but that we should trash it.

This is my 2nd F/P washer and dryer. My washes are clean but often very tangled due to the absence of an agitator. The machine is usually quiet. The spin is awesome with the wash almost dry at the end. The top loading dryer is very convenient to use. Dont be upset by the sound of the reversing or stopping drum. Bought the dryer because it was supposed to be highly rated. Bearings have gone out once (and replaced) and they are going out again. Takes forever to dry anything. Only one service provider on the area and it took them two tries to fix the bearings the first time. When I pointed out the lint wasnt collecting in the trap, he had no idea where it might be. I looked up the lint trap on YouTube to figure that out. Still doesnt collect lint (I have to disassemble the dryer to extract it). Maybe they make a good product but this has been a total piece of junk and I would not recommend.

I am expressing my concern and frustration with Fisher Paykel. I lodged call on the 6/3/2017 as my Fisher Paykel washing machine MW513 was leaking. I did a number of tests to see where the water was coming from and it all directed back to the washing machine. When the washing machine was on high (with clothes in it), it would start leaking from the washing to rinse cycle onwards. (this was clarified to Fisher Paykel on my phone call). When they had initially sent someone out here there was a lot of mucking around and the technician was meant to come on Friday 10/3/2017, he ended going to the wrong place and cancelling my job, which then led to a series of mistakes on FP end. This led to a number of phone calls and a lot of time out from work to rectify their mistake. They then had to send a new technician the following week (16/03/2017), whereby my mum was here and explained and showed the technician the photos and his response to her was when we wash the clothes on high place the same amount of clothes to the equivalent amount of water and do the cycle. When he conducted his tests there was no water leaking, as he never tried it with the clothes inside. He then cut the pipe shorter as he advised my mum it was too long. He then left for the next job. I came home and did exactly what he said (also advised in his job summary report to me) and again, the leakage started. I then called FP and advised what occurred and what the tech said to my mum.Over the phone they were going to take over 1.5 weeks to come and service my machine when I also advised that a small tile was starting to lift and causing water damage. The after-hours lady told me to call back the next business day as she couldnt do anything about it but could only book the appointment in. I called back the next day and advised the same thing, to which the gentlemen said he will make this a high priority (again to no avail and to a number of mistakes where they had a dryer to service instead of washing machine). A number of calls later and a different tech guy came out on the 22/3/2017. When he came I was here and advised him all of the above and advised for him to see the photos which he never wanted to and stated he believed me. He ran two water tests on high and no leakage happened (these were fast tracked from filling up the washing machine to the spin cycle, missing the washing rinse part).I did state to him that the leak ONLY happens when the water and clothes are in the machine and set on high. He still never put any clothes in. His advice to me was to wash my clothes on medium or low and the splash backs will not occur. If that was the case what is the relevance of buying a washing machine to only put the machine on medium and low? After he had left I called the customer service line 22/3/2017 (as clearly I was disappointed, stressed and upset), to which the customer service boy was very rude and basically stated that I am lying. The reason being is I advised him what happened and that I had photos of this and his response was anyone can take a photo and pretend their washing machine is leaking. I do not believe this is the way to address someone who is already stressed out that her apartment is going to flood and cause damage to below / surrounding apartments, as well as my own.I was then told by the same person to wash my clothes again and video it. I said I am a woman and I cannot lift the washing machine as it is heavy and you are now asking me to have the same leak occur and for me to clean up the mess yet again? His response was like yeah. What kind of people are they employing and how can they even think of treating their customers like this and getting away with it? I have already taken numerous time of out of work and constantly have to watch the machine when I wash.I didnt buy this washing machine so I can only place it on a certain level. It is under one years old and only until this year March, the problem occurred. There was no other history and when I made these complaints, it was indirectly stated back to me that nothing is wrong and I felt they thought I did know what I was talking about (deeming as I am woman). But, as my mum and my friend had witnessed, the water was coming from the machine. I will not be breaking my back lifting and cleaning again.I also asked a few times if I can get a cash settlement back and to speak to a team leader (none of which was done or considered at the time of the calls). The reason being is so I can buy a more reliable machine and can wash my clothes on high. I have uploaded photos and receipt of when I purchased the washing machine. I would like to be able to either get a reimbursement for the machine or a better quality machine, as I am wasting heaps of money on water bills. This by far, is the worst customer service I have ever received and do not advise anyone to purchase their products.

7/28/14 I have not been able to find any good reviews of this product, so
7/28/14 I have not been able to find any good reviews of this product, so I'm going to do my best to give one to help others as they consider buying this fridge. I know people want to know how a product lasts over time, so I'll do my best to remember to keep updating this review. As of today, the fridge has been up and running for 2 days. It is important to note that our fridge is a B-stock unit (was returned by someone, but never used. They listed the reason as "damaged packaging"). We did not buy through this website. THE BACKSTORY Our previous fridge was a big 36" standard depth white GE side-to-side that someone gave us for free. We knew it was only a temporary solution, and started saving for its replacement for when it would die on us. The rest of our kitchen appliances were stainless, so we were looking forward to the day our big white fridge kicked the bucket so we could have a more uniform look. Yesterday, we got home from a trip and our fridge was making loud and scary noises that wouldn't stop. We saw this as the perfect excuse to make the switch. I had heard of Fisher and Paykel before, and was told they were a good solution for a long-lasting fridge without all the unnecessary bells and whistles (that end up breaking and causing service calls down the road). I also thought this was the most elegant looking out of all of its competitors. I like the simple, flat look of this unit. I headed over to our closest appliance outlet store and found a B-stock unit that was never used (still had the plastic wrap), but had a dent in the back. We saved a thousand dollars on this unit because of a dent nobody would ever see. Score! INSTALLATION I took it home in my van and let it stand for 8 hours before turning it on (guy at store said this was important to do so all the liquids in the compressor could settle into place after transporting it on its back - better safe than sorry). During that time, I installed the included water filter and hoses to the fridge. It comes with everything you need except the piece that actually taps into your water line. Since we already had that from our previous fridge, this was a breeze. No need to call a plumber. The instruction manual was very easy to follow on installation of water components. I am the least handy guy you could know, so trust me when I say this was easy! During the time the fridge sat unplugged, I also wiped down the shelves and bins, took off the plastic wrap, and read the instruction manual. I HIGHLY recommend reading the manual. There are so many features in this fridge that aren't highlighted on the companies website that I never would have known about had I not read the manual. I'll go into more detail in the "Features" Section of this review. After the 8 hours, I plugged the fridge in and let it get to its proper temperature (about 2 hours). I used this time to adjust the front legs (it is supposed to be raised up 1/2" higher in the front than the back for ease of door use). During this time, the exterior sides and back of the unit got HOT! Like, I'm afraid this thing is going to explode, hot. Thankfully after reaching its desired interior temps, the exterior cooled off substantially. Today, it isn't even warm. I made sure to run all the air pockets out of the water line, and discarded the first few batches of ice as instructed. FEATURES First of all, keep in mind that we were previously using a big, standard depth side-by-side before, and have never had a counter-depth fridge, or one with a freezer on the bottom. Having made the transition, it is clear that these fridges are not for everyone. I'll try to explain in more detail as I go. - Counter-Depth: This opened up our kitchen far beyond what we were expecting. I know its only a few inches shallower, but it made a huge difference for us. Our kitchen just got bigger and brighter! Our fridge is no longer the elephant in the room. This fridge looks great, but blends in. It does come with some trade offs. The depth of storage in the fridge is very shallow. For example, I don't see the ability to fit a large pizza box in the fridge or the freezer (untested theory). - Doors: I've been to some peoples houses where their french doors were really hard to either open or close. These open with no problem, and close even easier. The freezer door is a bit harder to open than the fridge doors, but not difficult by any stretch. - Hidden top hinges: I love how the top hinges are covered in the front. It is a small attention to detail which really makes this thing look clean and sharp. It also makes cleaning the top of the fridge so much easier! - Water dispenser: Some people may not like that this doesn't have a door ice dispenser (ice is dispensed in a bin in the freezer). It is perfect for us, I love the shallow water chamber that doesn't cut into storage space on the inside door. It also is easier to clean, and you can fill any size container without worrying if it will fit. For us, the water comes out fast, and fills things up quickly. People who like to set a glass in the water cavity and walk away while it fills up will not like this feature. It is too shallow to set a glass in, you will need to hold it the entire time. Not a problem for us. - Shelving: This model has 3 shelves (2 of which are height adjustable). These shelves go across the full width of the fridge. Some of this units competitors have adjustable shelves that only go halfway for more customization, but in my opinion that is just more breakable pieces, and it cuts into the amount of things you can store. The full-width shelves work perfectly for our needs. Also, many competitors' fridges have white plastic spill proofing around the edges of their shelves. In my opinion, this makes a fridge look cheap and flimsy. The ActiveSmart fridge has beautiful brushed metal spill proofing, it looks so much more elegant and uniform. Sounds like a small thing, but it is one of my favorite features! - Door Storage: Because of the shallow water dispenser, you get full storage on both doors. This increases the storage like no other. There are large compartments with dividers for gallon sized jugs and tall items. At the top of each french door, there is a compartment with a lid for butters or cheeses. Our previous fridge had one of these compartments with a rounded lid, it really limited storage, but these have a squared off lid that allows you to stack items without worrying about closing the lid. My biggest complaint of this fridge is that these lids don't stay open when you lift them. So you need one hand to hold the lid open, and another to grab whatever is inside. It may sound negligible, but i'm usually holding something else when I need something from these compartments. Hopefully I'll get used to it. As of right now, it's really annoying. - Wine/Bottle holders: There really isn't a place in this fridge where you would be able to store a wine bottle standing up other than the doors, so they included 4 horizontal holders that clip to the back of every shelf. These holders also stack upon another so if you don't have 4 bottles to hold, they don't take up a lot of room. Very thoughtful feature. If you insist on storing your wine or tall bottled drinks standing up, you may not like this fridge. - REMOVABLE BINS!: This is my very favorite feature of this fridge. All drawers in the fridge and freezer are actually pull out shelves with clear bins sitting on top. This is so useful for so many reasons. Instead of shuffling through the vegetables or fruits to find what you are looking for with the fridge doors open, you can just pull out the desired bin and take it to the counter, find what you need and easily put it back. The same is true for meats/cheese bins, frozen drawers, and the ice bin. Saves tons of energy. Also, it makes cleaning drawers out a breeze. Just pull it out, rinse the bin in the sink, and dry out. I love this feature! - Crisper drawers: Like most fridges, this has separate drawers for fruits and vegetables with a separate humidity setting for each. Keep in mind, you need to open both french doors to pull out the drawer. Even though there are two separate sections, the full drawer they share takes up the full width of the fridge. People who only want to open one door and pull out fruits or veggies will not like this fridge. - Meats and Cheese Drawers: I like that there are two separate sections for these. We use the left one for lunch meat and cheeses, and the right one for other meats (steak, beef, fish, etc...). It is especially nice to use one of these as a dedicated meat thawing section without worry of any juices finding their way to other items in the fridge. Again, you need to open both french doors to access these compartments. - Lighting: Our previous fridge had a light in the top back center. If we had anything in front of it (which was always), it would darken the rest of the fridge, making it difficult to see other items throughout. This fridge has a strip of LED lighting at the top front of the unit which allow for full illumination of the entire contents of the fridge no matter how you have your food arranged. Very nice touch! There are no lights on the doors, but enough spills from the inside of the fridge that you will be able to make out what you need even in the middle of the night. - Ice machine: Since this is only our 2nd day, all I can say is it works as advertised so far. I know the ice machine is usually the biggest issue people have with any fridge, so I'll keep my eye on it and let you know if anything weird happens over time. The default setup is that in the freezer, there is a top shelf with 2 big bins across the width. In the left big bin, there is a smaller one that takes up half the width of that bin, and that is the ice bin. If you require more ice, you can just remove the smaller bin and let the ice dispense into the bigger bin. With either bin, it is supposed to stop producing ice when it is full. If you need even more ice, you can fill up the big bin on the left, switch it with the right bin, and fill up that one too. Lots of versatility, and the removable bins are great if you are entertaining! - Freezer: The freezer has a top shelf that pulls out with the ice bin, plus a bin and a half of storage for other things. Then there is a large cavity below for the storage of everything else. If you are a person who usually packs out your freezer of your current fridge, I don't think you will enjoy a counter-depth freezer-on-the bottom model. This is definitely more for the person who has a larger ratio of fresh food to frozen food. I can easily see people needing to dig around the lower cavity if they over fill it. For our family, we don't need much freezer space, so it works perfect for us so far. - Noise: As of right now, there is a constant hum that is about the volume of somebody whispering softly. It is audible, but not something you can hear unless you are in the kitchen. I'm not sure if this will always hum, or if it is just because we haven't filled up our ice bin to the top yet, and the ice machine is constantly working. I'll update the review when we find out. - ActiveSmart Tech: I don't really know what it is, other than it's supposed to do a good job of keeping your food cold. The inside of the glass door was broken for no apparent reason, the parts department are now charging £250 for the privilege of getting a new glass that fits. This oven does not get a lot of use. In terms of size its great but I really resent paying so much for a spare part...15% of the purchase price doesnt seem reasonable to me. The service department are given the horrid job of dealing with these issues with no flexibility in how they handle them. The dishwasher drawer is really not a good idea for anyone who has anything other than mugs and buffet size dinner plates. Be aware that the overall size of this will push your worktop higher that may expect. It has had a rather unfortunate knock on effect for me in terms of the aesthetic, but the main point is it doesnt do the job its supposed to. Great idea... But the result is not good.

I purchased a Fisher Paykel built in oven model OB60SD10PX1 6 weeks ago. I spelt something on the bottom of the oven. So I started the self cleaning function. The oven over heated during this function and burnt out the motherboard safety switch and door lock. I called F&P. Their customer service representative was given a contract number for a service agent. Waited 10 days for someone to come out to have a look at the oven. Technician replaced the door lock and motherboard but the safety switch is out of stock, and will be another 2to 3 weeks delay. I have done some research on the faulty F216 - and it seems that this is a known fault with this oven. If this is the case shouldnt this oven be recalled? As I have only had this oven for 6 weeks with a known fault you would think that I would be entitled to a refund/store credit.

So I purchased a F&P Washer and dryer from a HORRIBLE scammer called Ralphs Appliance in Bartonsville, PA (DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE). The washer fills up with water halfway, then dumps it all out so I cannot wash anything. The water wont stay in. Then the dryer smells so bad as if it is about to blow up. There is a horrible burning smell and it makes my clothes smell like they were on fire at some point! I had a technician come out and he spent 2 hours taking these units apart and changing parts and vacuuming out the dryer element in case there was burnt lint... NOTHING! They still dont work and the lousy people at Ralphs Appliance and Stroud TV & Appliance (ANOTHER HORRIBLE COMPANY, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM) refuse to fix it. I called F&P and these are the only two names they gave me of people who fix these types of units. I have been calling all over and no one seems to know how to service F&P. I do not know what to do but I was told this was a High End brand, but its anything but! I could have purchased an old school Whirlpool and I wouldnt have this many issues. And the washer and dryer are only a few years old!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Thumbs down to F&P.

Fisher Paykel Intuitive Dryer - We purchased a new Fisher Paykel washer and dryer three years ago which was installed in our new home on an interior wall with a straight shot through the roof exhaust pipe. After only four months of using the new dryer, the exhaust pipe became stopped-up with a considerable amount of lint. The exhaust cap on the roof had to be removed to allow access for removal of the lint from the exhaust pipe. This process had to be repeated about every 4 to 5 months since. Since the dryer lint basket very seldom collected lint and had to be emptied, four weeks ago we had the service technician out who determined the lint screen had been torn in numerous areas. Since the lint screen is within an enclosed area, he advised there must be some defect in the dryer lint basket which was cutting the screen. Over a period of time if left unchecked, this could have become a fire hazard. Is there something that can be done to prevent this from happening again? If so, please advise.
