Intuitive Eco washing machine. We have endured and continue to experience water on the floor despite two repair sessions by so-called certified and recommended companies. Now we have a Code 52; Repairmen plural cannot diagnose where leak is coming from. Repair service is slow in San Antonio and very poor at best. Washing machines are a need, this unit is headed for the junk yard! We bought a new washing machine yesterday to replace this awful Fisher Paykel washing machine.

I heard of Fisher & Paykel from Lowe’s. I chose them because of the look and the size. I went with the French drawer refrigerator. It’s 20 cubic foot. I was remodeling the kitchen. I’m enjoying it so far. My favorite feature is that everything is right there in front of me when I open it up. I have one critique that I wish they would do better. When you have to open both doors to access the vegetable tray or the meat tray, it would be nice if you can open either one or the other door, if the drawers have been cut in half and you can open one door and take one half the tray.

I meant to write you sooner about this but kept putting it off for two yrs. now. First, I had problems with the washer and the control panel. It was fixed over and over all during the warranty phase, but when the warranty ran out, it was suggested I purchase a new one which I did. Its fine now. The Dryer on the other hand is still a problem. It first quit drying. I had it repaired to the tune of $200+. New parts had to be installed. Then it became very noisy, shaking the whole house. I have had someone out twice and here I am again, listening the the noise. Its the ball bearings, I believe. They put in new parts but its still the same thing. Can you please recommend a knowledgeable washer/dryer service out in this area? Thank you.

Im a kitchen and bath designer so I know about Fisher & Paykel. We have them in the showroom at the last place I worked, and I inherited that when I bought the display, when we downsized after the crash, and I just replaced it. I put it in my sister and brother-in-laws house, and they love it. Its a great appliance for Californians and retired people who are you know downsizing their homes, as their kids go off to school. Its also great for young couples with kids because they can do one load. The dishwasher is great because of the two drawers. Besides, its a New Zealand product.

I have Benign Positional Vertigo and its either we raise the traditional dishwasher up off the floor to where I didnt have to stoop over and load the appliance, or I look for another appliance and make it much more convenient for my use. We ended up purchasing the two-drawer Fisher Paykel dishwasher and it broke within the first couple of months. But I had warranty through our local store (and I think Fisher & Paykel gave me three years warranty) so an appliance repair shop out of Corpus Christi, Texas came over and installed a new one. It’s an excellent product, it does as advertised and I’m very happy with it. Although sometimes it doesnt dry the dishes as well as Id like for it to, but I dont know if thats an issue of just trying to run it on the economy side of it and maybe I run it on that quite often and change it around...

I have had a Fisher and Paykel stove for 20 years and it has served me extremely well. It is only now I have to get a new one as with time and continuous use, parts are wearing out and it is more economical now to replace it. And I am quite happy to go the same way again. In any inquiries I have always found the company approachable and helpful and would have no problem in recommending their product to anyone I know.

My friend’s husband is an engineer and told me they bought a Fisher & Paykel because her husband had done some research and said that they had the fewest moving parts of any washing machine. And fewer moving parts is a good thing. I needed a washing machine, so I bought one and that was four or five years ago, and I’m pleased with it. I just got the dryer in August and I already had to have a new heating element put in. I don’t know if it’s the dryer’s problem or if it’s my ductwork’s problem but the outside vent is getting clogged up and I never had that before. But that doesn’t seem like it could be the dryer’s problem and we haven’t figured out what it is because I don’t think there’s a lot of lint in the lint screen. And so I can’t understand how the lint can bypass the lint screen and go out the outside vent. They need to send a repairman. As far as how they look, they’re fine. In price, they’re all in the same ballpark. And as far as performance, I don’t know because I haven’t tried that many others. I used to be a Whirlpool customer and I had wonderful luck with Whirlpool. But then I bought an Amana washer and dryer in 2004 and I had to replace the washing machine with the Fisher & Paykel, and then I just replaced the dryer. The dryer issue hasn’t been resolved yet but we are quite pleased with our Fisher & Paykel washing machine.

I bought a $2500 gas range and it was broken as soon as I took it out of the box. When I turned on the oven, the fan failure light came on, so I couldnt use it. I contacted them and two weeks later, a repair technician showed up. He had to order new parts and two weeks later, he installed them, so I could finally use the oven. Once I was able to use the oven, I discovered that the fan that cools the outside of the oven was extremely noisy and vibrated the whole appliance. I contacted them again and a month later, he showed up with a new fan. He installed the new fan and it didnt make a difference. By this time, I had also discovered that even though I set the oven at 200 degrees, the lowest temperature I could get in the oven was 325. Five months later, he came back with special tape to put around the noisy fan which made a difference. Although it is still a little noisy, I can live with it compared to the racket it was making before. He also brought a new thermostat and spent hours installing that. It didnt fit, so the oven knob doesnt fit on right, I have to leave the escucheon off to put the knob on. I cant light the oven with the knob on. I have to turn to the desired temperature, pull off the knob, stick my finger in the hole and press the thing in to get the oven to light. It still didnt fix the problem with the oven and now three of the burners dont work. I bought this stove in September 2010. Its now December 2011 and the problems keep getting worse. All of the delays are either from their representative not getting back to the repairman, or the parts being back ordered for months at a time. This is the worst appliance I have ever owned and I would not recommend this brand to anyone - the oven doesnt work properly; only two out of five burners work and repairs have been dragged out for fifteen months.

I bought a new Fisher & Paykel (FP) washer and dryer at Lowes in April 2007. The washer worked well until December 2009. I had the same problem many others had, discharge pump leaked and shorts out the pump, and that in turn shorts out the control board for the washer. To their credit, after I called them, FP took care of the repair of the pump and the control board in December of 2009.Trouble is, it just happened again. A year and a half later the discharge pump and the control board are out again. I called FP and was told they would not fix it again. Well, me neither. Rather than pay $400 to fix it again, I am getting a new washing machine that is not Fisher & Paykel. While shopping at one of the big box stores, I was told by one of the appliance guys that they stopped selling FP washers for a time because of guess what? pump and control board problems.

We purchased this fridge about six months ago and we are extremely disappointed with the quality on this product. The Stainless steel is so thin on it that when you actually close the door by hand if you dont use the handles if your ring or anything touches it it scratches and puts a dent in it right away. Stay far from this product and if youre in Canada stay away from Trail appliances in Edmonds Fine Appliances. They said all this is normal. If you have kids definitely stay away from this. This is not the the same Fisher Paykel that was an Australian company, it now owned by Haier Group out of China. Quality is the worst ever.

My nightmare began when I bought a DCS 48 inch dual fuel range/ovens from Aggressive Appliance, Orlando, FL. I immediately had problems with the light, thermostat knobs and then the problems grew... My ovens would not heat about 300/350 degrees and then would not maintain that temperature. Aggressive Appliances came out over six times to fix my problems. Eventually, after replacing the third thermostat (which I was told was the only part that they didnt make... yeah right!) they said that they could not fix it. The Regional Sales Manager Peter **, then came out and he couldnt fix it either. He then said that they would replace it. I asked him at that time what would happen if the second DCS range did not work, would I be able to get my money back and he said yes, that that wasnt going to happen. Well, you guessed it... Friday they put in the second DCS 48 inch dual fuel range/ovens and the large oven does not even get warm, the light does not go off, the grill had three dents in it. This has been a continuous nightmare which is only going to get worse because I have already sent out over 118 invitations to a huge event at my house which will be catered. They want to try and fix the second range when they should have made sure it worked before shipping it to me. Zero quality control. Save yourself the heartache. Spend a little more money and get something that will work. This product and company are not worth the headaches, tears and frustration. They do not honor their expressed warranty, nor apologize (until I pointed out that no one had even said sorry), nor offer consequential or incidental damages. What was supposed to be an exciting, joyful purchase has been a living hell. Hopefully, you will be wiser because of my pain.

I, too, was coerced by a salesperson at Lowe’s to pay a huge sum for a washer/dryer set. When delivered the dryer did not work after 3 days. I only agreed to them bringing a new dryer. The dryer does not dry well and always taking twice as long as the washer, even though I am vigilant about keeping lint traps and piping clean. Now it is making a high pitched whining sound--bearings? The washer is constantly out of balance even though it is level and on a concrete floor. It spun clothes nearly dry when new, but now I sometimes run the spin cycle a second time to remove more moisture. Thought I would read reviews before calling the repairman. I now think I might go shopping instead of throwing more money at a hopeless situation. I will never buy this brand again and long for my old Maytag set.

Fisher Paykel washer and dryer. They are from New Zealand I believe. They were fairly low priced for high-efficiency machines and the washer was a top loader AND conserved water (like the front loaders) but for a better cost. The washer drum is floating and is moved with a magnet. No parts rubbing and strap to change. Pretty neat technology. It also has a large capacity allowing bigger loads (and less of them). The dryer is efficient and takes exactly the same amount of time as the washer to wash a load... Perfect timing. The washer has high spin speed which explains why the drying is fairly quick. We have had these machines probably close to 8-10 years now. Brand reputation is important and we are willing to do some research as we did when we bought the Fisher & Paykel machines. We always look for the best value for our money for products that meet our requirements. We are also willing to wait for the sales. The critiques you read from users are very insightful and we can be turned off if several people have issues with something that we know would bother us too. For example, low quality construction, excessive vibration, too much soap residue, too much time to dry, etc. We are very happy with the Fisher Paykel washer and dryer we purchased 8-10 years ago. They are high efficiency, large capacity, top loader (washing machine); making them very user friendly and efficient. I have no regrets even though they dont look as cool as the front loaders but on the other side, I probably paid half the price of the good looking ones and I have the same value.

7/28/14 I have not been able to find any good reviews of this product, so I'm going to do my best to give one to help others as they consider buying this fridge. I know people want to know how a product lasts over time, so I'll do my best to remember to keep updating this review. As of today, the fridge has been up and running for 2 days. It is important to note that our fridge is a B-stock unit (was returned by someone, but never used. They listed the reason as "damaged packaging"). We did not buy through this website. THE BACKSTORY Our previous fridge was a big 36" standard depth white GE side-to-side that someone gave us for free. We knew it was only a temporary solution, and started saving for its replacement for when it would die on us. The rest of our kitchen appliances were stainless, so we were looking forward to the day our big white fridge kicked the bucket so we could have a more uniform look. Yesterday, we got home from a trip and our fridge was making loud and scary noises that wouldn't stop. We saw this as the perfect excuse to make the switch. I had heard of Fisher and Paykel before, and was told they were a good solution for a long-lasting fridge without all the unnecessary bells and whistles (that end up breaking and causing service calls down the road). I also thought this was the most elegant looking out of all of its competitors. I like the simple, flat look of this unit. I headed over to our closest appliance outlet store and found a B-stock unit that was never used (still had the plastic wrap), but had a dent in the back. We saved a thousand dollars on this unit because of a dent nobody would ever see. Score! INSTALLATION I took it home in my van and let it stand for 8 hours before turning it on (guy at store said this was important to do so all the liquids in the compressor could settle into place after transporting it on its back - better safe than sorry). During that time, I installed the included water filter and hoses to the fridge. It comes with everything you need except the piece that actually taps into your water line. Since we already had that from our previous fridge, this was a breeze. No need to call a plumber. The instruction manual was very easy to follow on installation of water components. I am the least handy guy you could know, so trust me when I say this was easy! During the time the fridge sat unplugged, I also wiped down the shelves and bins, took off the plastic wrap, and read the instruction manual. I HIGHLY recommend reading the manual. There are so many features in this fridge that aren't highlighted on the companies website that I never would have known about had I not read the manual. I'll go into more detail in the "Features" Section of this review. After the 8 hours, I plugged the fridge in and let it get to its proper temperature (about 2 hours). I used this time to adjust the front legs (it is supposed to be raised up 1/2" higher in the front than the back for ease of door use). During this time, the exterior sides and back of the unit got HOT! Like, I'm afraid this thing is going to explode, hot. Thankfully after reaching its desired interior temps, the exterior cooled off substantially. Today, it isn't even warm. I made sure to run all the air pockets out of the water line, and discarded the first few batches of ice as instructed. FEATURES First of all, keep in mind that we were previously using a big, standard depth side-by-side before, and have never had a counter-depth fridge, or one with a freezer on the bottom. Having made the transition, it is clear that these fridges are not for everyone. I'll try to explain in more detail as I go. - Counter-Depth: This opened up our kitchen far beyond what we were expecting. I know its only a few inches shallower, but it made a huge difference for us. Our kitchen just got bigger and brighter! Our fridge is no longer the elephant in the room. This fridge looks great, but blends in. It does come with some trade offs. The depth of storage in the fridge is very shallow. For example, I don't see the ability to fit a large pizza box in the fridge or the freezer (untested theory). - Doors: I've been to some peoples houses where their french doors were really hard to either open or close. These open with no problem, and close even easier. The freezer door is a bit harder to open than the fridge doors, but not difficult by any stretch. - Hidden top hinges: I love how the top hinges are covered in the front. It is a small attention to detail which really makes this thing look clean and sharp. It also makes cleaning the top of the fridge so much easier! - Water dispenser: Some people may not like that this doesn't have a door ice dispenser (ice is dispensed in a bin in the freezer). It is perfect for us, I love the shallow water chamber that doesn't cut into storage space on the inside door. It also is easier to clean, and you can fill any size container without worrying if it will fit. For us, the water comes out fast, and fills things up quickly. People who like to set a glass in the water cavity and walk away while it fills up will not like this feature. It is too shallow to set a glass in, you will need to hold it the entire time. Not a problem for us. - Shelving: This model has 3 shelves (2 of which are height adjustable). These shelves go across the full width of the fridge. Some of this units competitors have adjustable shelves that only go halfway for more customization, but in my opinion that is just more breakable pieces, and it cuts into the amount of things you can store. The full-width shelves work perfectly for our needs. Also, many competitors' fridges have white plastic spill proofing around the edges of their shelves. In my opinion, this makes a fridge look cheap and flimsy. The ActiveSmart fridge has beautiful brushed metal spill proofing, it looks so much more elegant and uniform. Sounds like a small thing, but it is one of my favorite features! - Door Storage: Because of the shallow water dispenser, you get full storage on both doors. This increases the storage like no other. There are large compartments with dividers for gallon sized jugs and tall items. At the top of each french door, there is a compartment with a lid for butters or cheeses. Our previous fridge had one of these compartments with a rounded lid, it really limited storage, but these have a squared off lid that allows you to stack items without worrying about closing the lid. My biggest complaint of this fridge is that these lids don't stay open when you lift them. So you need one hand to hold the lid open, and another to grab whatever is inside. It may sound negligible, but i'm usually holding something else when I need something from these compartments. Hopefully I'll get used to it. As of right now, it's really annoying. - Wine/Bottle holders: There really isn't a place in this fridge where you would be able to store a wine bottle standing up other than the doors, so they included 4 horizontal holders that clip to the back of every shelf. These holders also stack upon another so if you don't have 4 bottles to hold, they don't take up a lot of room. Very thoughtful feature. If you insist on storing your wine or tall bottled drinks standing up, you may not like this fridge. - REMOVABLE BINS!: This is my very favorite feature of this fridge. All drawers in the fridge and freezer are actually pull out shelves with clear bins sitting on top. This is so useful for so many reasons. Instead of shuffling through the vegetables or fruits to find what you are looking for with the fridge doors open, you can just pull out the desired bin and take it to the counter, find what you need and easily put it back. The same is true for meats/cheese bins, frozen drawers, and the ice bin. Saves tons of energy. Also, it makes cleaning drawers out a breeze. Just pull it out, rinse the bin in the sink, and dry out. I love this feature! - Crisper drawers: Like most fridges, this has separate drawers for fruits and vegetables with a separate humidity setting for each. Keep in mind, you need to open both french doors to pull out the drawer. Even though there are two separate sections, the full drawer they share takes up the full width of the fridge. People who only want to open one door and pull out fruits or veggies will not like this fridge. - Meats and Cheese Drawers: I like that there are two separate sections for these. We use the left one for lunch meat and cheeses, and the right one for other meats (steak, beef, fish, etc...). It is especially nice to use one of these as a dedicated meat thawing section without worry of any juices finding their way to other items in the fridge. Again, you need to open both french doors to access these compartments. - Lighting: Our previous fridge had a light in the top back center. If we had anything in front of it (which was always), it would darken the rest of the fridge, making it difficult to see other items throughout. This fridge has a strip of LED lighting at the top front of the unit which allow for full illumination of the entire contents of the fridge no matter how you have your food arranged. Very nice touch! There are no lights on the doors, but enough spills from the inside of the fridge that you will be able to make out what you need even in the middle of the night. - Ice machine: Since this is only our 2nd day, all I can say is it works as advertised so far. I know the ice machine is usually the biggest issue people have with any fridge, so I'll keep my eye on it and let you know if anything weird happens over time. The default setup is that in the freezer, there is a top shelf with 2 big bins across the width. In the left big bin, there is a smaller one that takes up half the width of that bin, and that is the ice bin. If you require more ice, you can just remove the smaller bin and let the ice dispense into the bigger bin. With either bin, it is supposed to stop producing ice when it is full. If you need even more ice, you can fill up the big bin on the left, switch it with the right bin, and fill up that one too. Lots of versatility, and the removable bins are great if you are entertaining! - Freezer: The freezer has a top shelf that pulls out with the ice bin, plus a bin and a half of storage for other things. Then there is a large cavity below for the storage of everything else. If you are a person who usually packs out your freezer of your current fridge, I don't think you will enjoy a counter-depth freezer-on-the bottom model. This is definitely more for the person who has a larger ratio of fresh food to frozen food. I can easily see people needing to dig around the lower cavity if they over fill it. For our family, we don't need much freezer space, so it works perfect for us so far. - Noise: As of right now, there is a constant hum that is about the volume of somebody whispering softly. It is audible, but not something you can hear unless you are in the kitchen. I'm not sure if this will always hum, or if it is just because we haven't filled up our ice bin to the top yet, and the ice machine is constantly working. I'll update the review when we find out. - ActiveSmart Tech: I don't really know what it is, other than it's supposed to do a good job of keeping your food cold. Mission accomplished so far. - Other features: Sabbath mode, open door alarm (90 seconds for fridge, 60 seconds for freezer), ability to turn off open door alarm (for cleaning), water dispenser lock (for cleaning or curious kids), ice bin on/off, fast ice, temperature controls, bottle chill function (allows you to chill a beverage quickly in freezer, and will sound alarm when it is done), fast freeze (for quick freezing of fresh food), water filter replacement indicator, lock fridge controls (for cleaning) and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Fridge controls are located inside the fridge. WHO WOULD LOVE THIS FRIDGE People who: - Have more fresh food than frozen food - Don't need to store extra deep items (large pizza box, for example)* SEE UPDATES - Appreciate removable storage bins - Like sleek, simple, modern design - Want to maximize the storage of the inside of their fridge - Like good lighting - Want to be able to fill pitchers and other large containers from the door water dispenser - Want easy opening and closing doors - Want to be able to view everything in their fridge at a glance without needing to move things out of the way. I bought what I thought was a new model, an Aqua Smart WL-37, from the Warehouse Discount Center (WDC) on 5-16-11. I also bought an extended four-year warranty. The WL-37 failed less than three months later (8-10-11). It made a loud noise, and it went dead. No power. I called WDC for help, and they gave us a list of contractors. It turned out none of them travel to our town in Fillmore. This is even though when you first call the contractor, they say,” sure we will go to Fillmore”. However, once they try and locate us on a map, they thought it was “Sylmar”, not Fillmore.Anyway, we finally called P&K customer service. They also gave me a list of contractor folks who would go to Fillmore. I guess the good customer service representatives at Fisher and Paykel’s dont have good English skills, as they also gave us a list of contractors who go to Sylmar, not Fillmore. Finally, I got one who actually came to the house after a ten day delay. When the technician came inside, he asked me for the original sales receipt. The folks at Fisher & Paykel had no proof of sale, and because the WL37 is not the current model. I had a broken ankle and could not go upstairs to pull the receipt, even though I showed the technician the four-year extended warranty with a sale date of June, 2011, it was not good enough. So back to finding contractors who would go to Sylmar… err… Fillmore. Finally, I found one. Again, after another week lag they showed up on August 29. By this time, I was smart, and registered my unit on the Fisher & Paykel website, so the unit was verified under warranty. The technician came in and looked at the washer. He said it needed a new power board. He left his card, and said he would order it that day. Another eleven days have gone by, and I have heard nothing. This is despite leaving several messages to the technician and his store. I just finished contacting Fisher & Paykel customer service via its website customer care inquiry. Hopefully, they will contact me soon.

I had a Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher, and when we upgraded our kitchen the theme was steel. We just went with the same brand because we really liked it. I liked the style and the refrigerator seemed to have the most room inside it for a counter-depth refrigerator. I had a counter-depth fridge before and you couldnt get anything in it. It was ridiculous. This one just seems to have a lot more room because the water and stuff are not bulky in the door unlike other refrigerators. The Fisher appliances are nice, with clean lines. We dont need all the bells and whistles. I just want things with space that are clean and seem to work really well. I love the gas range. It seems to have lots of space inside the oven. I enjoy the appliances. Im pleasantly surprised with them.

A customer service representative called me to update me on the availability of the new washer model in the US. It will be available at the end of July or first of August. I dont want to wait another month but do want this new larger capacity model. The rep also called my service department to have my top loader dryer repaired. She wanted to make sure they have the correct part for the repair scheduled for Monday. Fisher & Paykel has an outstanding customer service department. I am staying with this brand and looking forward to purchasing my new washing machine the 4.2 cubic foot Aqua Smart as soon as it becomes available in the US.

So far it's been great, I'm pretty sure my electrician installed everything correctly. At first it was totally quiet but now I notice the fans (or whatever) get louder now and then but don't know the pattern yet. Sometimes there's a little pneumatic sound when I open the door, but not always. But it fits my hard to fit space perfectly and so far things are very good (it was installed one week ago).

A Fisher and Paykel technician came to my home to replace rear wheels of my refrigerator. Somehow he broke the coolant chamber that released gas and liquid anti freeze. He became irate loudly swearing. He informed me that my refrigerator would be replaced. That was on Tuesday the 23 June. I have not received a replacement and have been told that I would be paid what I paid for the refrigerator when the damaged one is picked up. I am a senior citizen with limited income and cannot afford to pay what it now cost. I feel that I am made to suffer for the technicians incompetence. I need someone to advocate for me please.

I wish I had heard about the Fisher Paykel brand about 6 years ago, and I definitely would have bypassed this brand. I have no problems with the dryer so far, but the washer starts beeping into the wash cycle, and it takes forever (and I mean forever) for the tub to fill (Im talking about all day to finish 2 loads of clothes), because Im constantly having to go and press the machine to start up again. It wont rinse. It only fills, and then drains. It also leaks from time to time. I figure the whole panel is shot, and I dont know what the deal is with the tub filling so slowly, but Im completely fed up with it, and after reading other complaints, I feel misled by this company and doubt Ill even bother to waste money to have it checked out. Both the washer and dryer had light usage (2 to 3 loads per week). I will never buy another washer or dryer with a push button computer panel, nor will it ever be the Fisher Paykel brand. I bought my old Kenmore washer and dryer second-handed, and they were still going after 28 years, when I got rid of them. I wish I had them back (who cares if they werent energy efficient, they worked, which is more than I can say for the overpriced cheap junk imported from overseas these days)! I would gladly pay more money for products made in America that is of good quality!

We bought a new Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer at least five years ago. When we went and looked to buy a new washer and dryer, they had a F&P set sitting there. They were quite a bit more expensive than a lot of the other ones there at the time. I looked at them, read a little bit about them and liked what I read about them and they did seem to do as well as they said. The clothes would come out of the washing machine with a lot less water still in them than I was used to from other washing machines and it would really spin the water out well which meant less drying time. You can set it on automatic and it would decide how much water it needed. Were still using the washing machine, and it still does an excellent job. The only problem weve had with it is I have had to replace the agitator two times because the clothes would get caught under the agitator blade. And if the kids were getting the clothes out and not paying attention they would break the agitator blade. Also the dryer some time ago started to have a loud squeaking noise, and I looked up what it was. There were some parts I could have purchased for less than $200 and it didnt sound like that hard of a fix but we decided to go ahead and buy a new Fisher & Paykel dryer. We bought a new one within the last few months. Overall, Ive enjoyed using them.

Purchased a Fisher Paykel dryer in Feb 2013. Six months ago we started getting grease marks on our clothes. I contacted Fisher Paykel and after MANY calls (when they did return my calls), they concluded that I needed to turn the reversible drum off as that was causing issues on these units. I did so, and continued to have the same issues. After going back and forth, Fisher Paykel said there was nothing more they could do. They didnt even send out one of their techs to look at it. So, $700 later and using the dryer for 2 1/2 years, Im out! I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM FISHER PAYKEL AGAIN!! SHAME ON YOU!!

Second time using my brand new F&P top-loading dryer; and it started making a loud thumping noise and would not stop. A technician came a few days later and made an adjustment which seemed to work for the next load; but alas, the thumping noise came back soon after. The technician came back and replaced a part. Everything was fine until yesterday; the thumping noise is back, but even louder. I’m very fed up with this dryer. Like other reviewers, I have also had problems with drying time – any energy-efficient feature, this thing purportedly has, is out the window because it takes so long to dry anything. I also have the matching washer; and judging by other comments, Im afraid it, too, will start giving me problems. I would absolutely not recommend this brand to anyone, and I so wish I could return them both and buy something else.

I love my Fisher Paykel dishwasher. This is actually my 2nd one. For many years I had one in my previous home and loved it. It was one item I hated to leave when we decided to sell our large home and downsize to a smaller home. We were fortunate that our new home had the same 2 drawer dishwasher and I am still loving it. The benefit of being able to use only one drawer or both is a great benefit. The extra benefit is that it delivers a superior cleaning every time.

My Fisher & Paykel Washer failed to pump out water or complete a spin c
My Fisher & Paykel Washer failed to pump out water or complete a spin cycle. The technician from the store that we bought it from, determined that the pump was not operating and needed to be replaced. This company no longer carries Fisher& Paykel products mainly because it continues to change replacement parts, and have poor support in receiving parts. He did contact the Service Dept. for F&K and was able to find the part number needed for the pump. My wife had to contact them to order and pay for the part. After receiving the shippings tracking number and date of delivery, it became a waiting game. When the package did not arrive on the expected date, my wife contacted the customer service personnel and initially was informed that they could not find the order; then determined that the order did not ship because an additional part was required for the pump. As luck would have it, this part was not in California but was located somewhere in Kentucky.By and large, someone took it upon himself to cancel the order, but failed to inform us of the situation. My wife now had to get the correct information, order the part, trust the so-called experts to credit our charge account, and play the waiting game. Mind you, 2 weeks has lapsed since this process began. When the much awaited part arrived, we had to wait another 4 days for the service tech to install it. Today when I arrived home from work, I found my wife in tears and on the verge of a mental breakdown. The part was installed and when the tech ran a cycle through the machine with a load of clothes in it, it failed to pump the water out again. To make a long story short, when he talked to a tech at F&P, he was informed that a change made to their parts required that the motherboard also needs to be replaced at the time a new part was installed. Now we are talking an additional $190 for the part and $25 for shipping and handling. The total cost with parts already received was $357. NFW are we going to continue to pump money in to this money pit. To fix this problem, we have ordered a new washing machine but it is not an F&K product.Never again will we waste good money on any product by F&P. Not only will we no longer support the products of this company, we will seek out every opportunity to express our dissatisfaction and terrible experience to anyone that will listen. This is the worst buying and service after the sale experience that we have ever encountered. I can only hope that F&Ps competition will eventually drive them out of business.

I have an F&P EcoSmart washer and dryer. Over the past 3 years of use, Ive had the heating element on the dryer replaced 3 times. Even though the element itself is always under warranty, F&P says I still have to pay over $100 to have a tech diagnose what I already know the problem to be, then wait 2 weeks for the part and again pay the tech to install it. I have slate floors in my laundry room and the appliance tech told me I need to wear shoes because the way the element is set, it could sag and easily hit the floor, causing electrical shock. How unsafe is that? But now after only 4 years of use, my washer has totally died. I noticed the pump was short-cycling when trying to drain the water. When water did drain for about 2 seconds, there was no blockage. Then the control panel completely died within an hour. Now I have no washer, my four grandchildren live with me and my brother, who I have not seen for nearly 10 years, is coming in from overseas with his wife and 3 children to stay for 2 weeks during the holidays. I live in a rural area and the nearest laundry mat is 30 miles away. I cant even afford to get the tech out until after the holidays, but even if I could it would still take 2 weeks to get the parts, if its even able to be repaired. So what am I supposed to do? Thanks for the happy holidays, F&P!

When we moved into our new home in May of 2008, we had to leave behind our dryer. As wed had good luck with a Fisher & Paykel washer, we just assumed that a DE09 dryer would be a natural conclusion. What a mistake! It has been a lemon since the day we put it in the basement. It constantly turns off during a dry cycle and takes forever (when it decides to actually run) to dry a load of clothes. Were not talking a large load either. We are vigilant about keeping the vents cleaned out, even going so far as taking the tube from the wall and cleaning it out from both the outside vent and the inside vent. Nothing does any good. It still shuts off randomly at will. I can guarantee that my next dryer purchase, as soon as it can happen, wont be a Fisher & Paykel. Id have better luck just tossing the clothes on the driveway and hoping the sun does the job.

EcoSmart Washer - I bought this machine from Lowes about 6 years ago and have loved it! No problems, cleans well, etc., until now. I called the customer service number because the machine would not power on. I was told to call one of the 2 approved service companies in Kansas City. Neither one was rated well for their service! Lots of complaints. They would not return my calls. It took almost 2 weeks to get an appointment and the tech was late, rude, etc. Refused him access and called a different company with same day service. Its now 2 weeks after that (4 total, going to the laundromat!). The current company cant seem to order the correct part, are late or no shows for appointments and cant seem to give me a dollar or time estimate for service. I could not be more frustrated. However, the cold water dispenser is not dispensing ice water. The water is at 62.5 degrees Fahrenheit. That is the same temperature of the water from the tap. We have well water which comes out at 62.5 degrees Fahrenheit. So the water is not being chilled. I may as well drink from the tap. How do you get this water colder? We purchased a Fisher Paykel washer and dryer from a local Lowes just about 3 years ago. When the new appliances were delivered, within the first week the dryer had to be replaced because the frame was bent out of shape and was not repairable. Our dryer stopped drying clothes in the last couple of months. We called the repairman who came and diagnosed the situation as the board had gone out and would need to be replaced as well as the reset switch. He told us our laundry room was a bit too small and that had caused the dryer to overheat. So why hadnt it done this in the last 3 years? The repair bill was over 300.00 dollars and the repairman suggested that we might need to leave the front cover off the dryer so it wouldnt overheat. He replaced the cover.Within the first month after the repair, it did it again so we took off the front cover and hit the reset switch and it worked again. The dryer blew the circuit breaker 2 weeks ago. 4 days ago, the dryer overheated and smelled hot throughout our upstairs. We unplugged the dryer and let it cool down. We have put well over $1000 in this dryer and it is not good. We will not purchase another Fisher Paykel appliance again and would not recommend this company to anyone.

I was one of those customers that was highly encouraged to buy a Fisher & Paykel Washer and Dryer. I was one of the lucky ones that purchased an extended warranty but that doesnt do anything for inconvenience. I have had to have my dryer worked on about five times. Once I had to wait for over eight weeks which means lugging wet clothes to the laundry mat to dry them. Ive had my washer worked on about four times. Now, my extended warranty is up on both machines and I noticed that my washer is leaking water. It seems that the water is coming from the top of the machine. I tilted the machine back and the only part that is wet is the side. I have read on the web that many other people are having the same problem. I purchased the washer in 2006 and the dryer in 2007. I really expected to get at least ten years out of these appliances since they are not cheap.

The Fisher Paykel dual drawer dishwasher is an excellent new example of high quality and performance in a kitchen dish washing appliance. The dual drawer is engineered wonderfully to provide multiple ways to perform, and perform it does! The two drawers provide flexibility beyond a normal/standard design. The loading capabilities are different yet provided with a lot of forethought given to providing space. It utilizes much more of the actual inside space of the two drawer/washers. Once you understand the loading capabilities of the provided inside racks and adjustment capabilities, the loading capabilities are creative and useful. Three simple buttons on the outside of each drawer provide easy execution of functions. The dual washers are extremely easy to start, stop or pause at any time, using the three simple buttons. The system has various wash cycles and times all easily accessed and executed by another single button conveniently located inside either drawers top edge. A small LED lit screen on each drawer face provides a moving icon that lets the user know have knowledge of what stage of a cycle the wash drawer is executing. The LED also shows the cycle time duration working backwards from a start time to the finish of the cycle. The Fisher Paykel system is very quiet working washer. Yes, you can hear some functions executing some times during the cycle, but it is very quiet overall. Most importantly, the Fisher Paykel Dual Washing system cleans and shines dishes, glassware and utensils with precision to a sparkling bright clean. This is especially true if the user does not allow large amounts of food to enter the system. Pre-rinsing is any dishwashers best friend! Use this kitchen appliance/tool correctly, and you will have a great dish washing experience with this product. By far, the Fisher Paykel Dual Dish Washing system is the highest quality, best working, and easy to use dish washing appliance I have ever had in any of my kitchens. I highly recommend the Fisher Paykel Dual Drawer Dish Washing Appliance/System for any kitchen.

As far as the product itself, weve had a great experience with the refrigerator. My biggest issue is with the water filter. It is suggested that you replace the water filter every 6 months. The filters are $50. I find that to be highway robbery. Its absurd to buy a refrigerator and then have to buy new water filters every 6 months. Theres no doubt you could make a filter that lasts longer than that and thats less expensive. I would venture to guess the profit margin on the filter is greater than on the refrigerator. Other than that, my experience has been great. I just feel taken advantage of with respect to the filter.

I must be one of the few to have a positive experience with F&P. We purchased a washer/dryer set in 2003. We still have the dryer but are on our second GWL11 washer. The first one lasted 10 years. In that time it was subjected to hard water and a family of four. The pump is definitely the weak link, as I replaced at least two in that time. Also had to replace a water inlet valve. The new pumps come with a inline fuse to install on the harness to the controller to prevent it from getting ruined if the pump shorts out. None of the repairs were done in warranty. F&P washers are very easy to diagnose and repair so I have been able to do all my repairs. After too many large loads and 10 years of hard water the strut rods that keep the drum in balance wore out. I found a super clean GWL11 for $80 on CL to replace it. We now have a water softener so this machine stays cleaner and cleans more efficiently.I saved parts off the old machine for future repairs. I did change the pump not long after I got it. Now three years later that used pump went out, this time the windings shorted out, taking the controller with it. I blew off installing the inline fuse, so this could of easily been prevented. I bought a new pump for $110 and installed my used controller and its running just fine again. I know this all sounds like a nightmare of repairs, but if you are able to be a little bit inclined to take on a challenge you can save a lot of money on paying the repair person. I dont have a lot of money laying around to buy new appliances every few years. From the reviews I read, many new high efficiency washers dont clean well and are repair prone. When I do break down and buy a new one sometime in the future, I will definitely consider F&P again, along with Speed Queen.

Before ordering, please check that the delivery company will be able to get the appliance in your kitchen. I ordered an American fridge freezer, but when it arrived they could not get it into my kitchen. The delivery boys were lovely and they said they could probably get it in, if the doors and drawer were removed, but they could not find a way to remove the drawer. I called Fisher and Paykel and they could not help either and suggested that I just took doorstep delivery and work the rest out for myself! Very disappointing, so to avoid disappointment yourselves, please check this out before you order. Incidentally, I live in a detached house with standard size openings.

I bought a Fisher and Paykel dryer less than six years ago and the major drum has already gone out. The dryer has not been used that much as I am a widow and hang my clothes out in nice weather. It will cost so much to replace it and it is also throwing little pieces of metal in lint trap. I will have to buy a new dryer and it will not be this brand. I am on very limited income and it is putting a hardship on me to have to replace. The reason I bought the set is it came highly rated. Will not recommend to anyone.

I have owned a top loading F&P (Ecosmart) washer and dryer since October 2008. They worked great until the warranty ran out. My dryer stopped drying clothes and had a repairman come out to discover that it needed to be reset. Now, it is starting to still leave clothes damp, even when using the extended dry. My washer within 2 weeks stopped working as well. The repairman came out and stated that the pump needed to be balanced and could possibly go out. Within 3 weeks, the pump on the washer went out. I had the repairman come back out and he had to order the part. 2 weeks later, he came back out and installed the new pump. Now a month and a half later, the circuit board is starting to have problems. I can no longer use the regular cycle which by the way is the cycle that is suppose to try to re-balance a load if the washer thinks that it is out of balance. So what is F&P going to do about these issues? By what I have read, absolutely nothing. They will call and try to make a nice attempt at resolving the problem but are they going to purchase a new washer and dryer for me or replace the ones I have? I highly doubt it. I will never buy anything that has the name F&P on it again.

I wanted the tri-folder, the French door refrigerator, and when I found out that a full-sized one would not fit in my house, I started looking for the counter-depth one and I happened upon the Fisher&Paykel. I like to shop through Lowes because of their stuff and I found out Lowes sold them and serviced them. But they really should have one on display so people can see them and see what they look like. Because you really have to see it to appreciate it. So I contacted a Fisher&Paykel place out in California and asked them some questions and I told them I wanted to see one first. They sent me some sites by Lancaster, PA which I ended going to Mount Joy to see one on display but I didn’t buy it from them. I ended up going to it was like an Ace hardware store that sold the appliances... And oh my God, I love it! My Fisher&Paykel refrigerator performs beautifully and its sleek. Even the delivery guys had never seen one or heard of them before and they were just all over it, looking at it and thought how nice it was. And the size of it is just fine for everything for where its at. Anyone looking for one especially for a counter-depth would be worth their while to check this Fisher&Paykel refrigerator out.

I purchased the washer and dryer I got from Lowe’s. I didn’t particularly want a front load because I had had a bad experience years ago with them. And I also had very limited space in the house. You could not put a front load washer and a front load dryer in the room because there wasn’t enough room to open it. You had to have top load machines to do it. And Fisher & Paykel has the only top load dryer that we could find. It’s more convenient. I would have bought it no matter what because the top load is just easier to load, unload, and everything else. It also emulates commercial ones by rotating into both directions. Considering that I sold the house in Tallahassee and the people who bought it wanted the appliances, I had to buy new ones for my house in Orlando. I’ll buy them again. I think top load dryers, you can’t say the best thing since sliced bread but it’s that type. The top load washer being an eco-efficient approach. We got the rebates on that. And the style in it emulates some very old, standard washing procedures that had been used throughout the centuries. My only problem with the new one we got down here in Orlando, the washer is really sensitive to an unbalanced load. The one in Tallahassee wasn’t as sensitive.

I had purchased a 6 burner range with DCS brand. The hinges have failed over the years so thought I would replace them. There are many places to buy the parts but thought I would go right to the source. I ordered parts and was assured delivery within 5-7 days. After 2-1/2 weeks I called them. They have no proof of the order. I sent them the confirmation that they sent me showing order number, price, and charged credit card. I sent that back to them and that was not enough proof. I had to go track down and submit proof from my credit card statement that I was in fact charged. I sent that to them and still have not heard anything back. I will give it one more day and then I will fight it with credit card company. I really rely on customer service especially when purchasing something as expensive as this range was. This will be the last time I ever order any appliance with a brand name affiliated with this group. Very disappointed customer!!

We were getting a new kitchen installed last May, and after much consideration had gone with almost all Fisher and Paykel appliances. Unfortunately our son had an accident in the kitchen mid Sept shattering the front piece of glass on the oven door. We called Services about a replacement which was showing available online but it took a whole week of ringing every day only to be told that there was no stock of the glass part or a whole door and they couldnt tell for sure when it would be available. Well its 4 weeks now and we have called repeatedly and emailed customer care as well to no avail. Polite and sorry as they always are when speaking on the phone or responding in their emails, the staff seem to be at a loss for a resolution. There seems not to be an answer from the technical team here in the UK which is totally mind boggling for a supposed reputable and growing company. We are sorry that the only people we can speak with are helpless and taking the flak for F&Ps poor services. How does Fisher and Paykel actually function in their after-sales care or do they actually care for their customers? If only we had known this, we would not have kitted out our kitchen with so many F&P appliances. But now that our architect, builders and friends see what we are currently facing, no one is likely to use or recommend the use of F&P appliances. Its a real shame, good products but poor organisation. We have decided the next step would be to refer case to the Ombudsman.

Washer and dryer bought in 2005 from appliance store paid twice as much as I would have on any other unit because salesperson assured me they would last forever. He failed to tell me they would last forever as long as I didnt mind replacing pump and boards in washer every 8-12 months and bearings in dryer every 2 years, and thats without any use on dryer from April to September-October, as I hang everything on line in summer months. Somehow it seems strange that along with lots of other people its always something we did to cause the problem! Has anyone looked into or know if we have the grounds for a class action suit? I will check into it, unless someone already has. I cant believe I tried to submit this form and it failed because it wanted me to rate it using star method? Should be a negative star choice.

Fisher Paykel RF48SS - We purchased this $9000 refrigerator new in 2009. In late August the refrigerator portion of the side by side went to 50 degrees - started to make noise. I came to find out that the noise was from the fan hitting the iced up coils. We went to the Fisher Paykel site and decided to call the only factory authorized service company in Jacksonville Florida - Expert Appliance Repair Service, Orange Park FL. This was our second mistake, the first being not purchasing a Sub Zero or Monogram to begin with. Four service calls later and three months later the refrigerator portion of the side by side is still at 50 degrees. To date we have spent $560 while Experts personnel ineptly replaced first the damper then the main board attempting to solve our 50 degree refrigerator problem. Today (11/24/2014) was visit number four, with the replacement of the main board. As you may have already guessed, the refrigerator is still not working. The temperature is still at 50 degrees. I was charged $304.49 for the main control board, a part that is available from Samsungparts.com for $93.82. History:Called for appointment in late August. Told it would take ten days for them to schedule a call. 9/9/2014 service call (ticket **). Evaluated and it was determined that the DC Damper Assembly was bad and need to be replaced. This was determined by tech testing the unit and seeing no reading on the VOM. Charge for the call - $254.57. 9/17/2014 follow-up service call (ticket **). Determined to be a bad control board. 11/24/2014 - returned to replace the main control board (ticket **). Charge for call - $304.49. Temperature after 6 hours has not changed. Turned the unit off and then back on, no change. Im reviewing the troubleshooting instructions online. There is a test procedure to determine the point of failure for this specific problem, and at none of the four visits has this test procedure ever been performed. Recommend you stay with established brands as this has been a nightmare.

DEC27C and wL26CW1 - I have had a couple of problems with my units. However, two occasions they were covered by warranty (the washer). I just had a problem with my dryer. The bearing on the right side of the drum went bad. I called F&P and talked to the very nice rep who took my order for a new bearing assembly and sent it out to me UPS ground. The rep was kind enough to tell me that if I were handy, yes I could fix it myself and she was right. After the part arrived, it took about 15 to 20 minutes to repair. Wee, the dryer is back in service. My problem is the $250.00 of ruined clothing and the price of the part and shipping. I did contact a F&P authorized repair service, but the service is not what I would call great. When I called the tech and told him I thought it was the belt, he said It is not the belt; it is the bearing. You do what you know how to do and I will fix the dryers. That was a little insulting to say the least. He then told me the squeaking would not harm anything and I could continue to use the dryer, but it may spit out grease (hence the damaged clothes). Well, my wife used the dryer and ran a load of dressy whites and they came out with little spots all over them. So F&Ps authorized repair person gave me bad information. Live and learn. But as a whole, F&P on my dealings with them have been good. It is a shame that the face of F&P is who is giving them a bad name - the repair techs and their offices.

Fisher-Paykel WL4227J1 - We purchased this machine, new, on 9/24/14. The machine worked well for 2 weeks & then developed a loud hum in the pump during the drain cycle. Once I was able to get a technician here a week later, it was confirmed that the pump was defective & needed to be replaced under warranty. Now for the part that angers me... The repair shop called back & stated that it would be another week to get the part, as F/P ships from AZ & that it would take 5 business days to arrive... Seriously? So I called F/P direct & was told that it would be 3-5 business days as the part ships from Huntington Beach, CA. Or, I could contact the retailer I purchased the machine from & ask them to exchange it... but that they were under no obligation to do so. Hello... customer service. Fisher & Paykel should be OVERNIGHTING a new pump to my retailer... not the 3-5 business days they stated as it is a brand new machine. I purchased at the same time a Fisher Paykel Washer (model WA37T26G: ECOSMART) and Fisher Paykel Dryer (model WA42T26GW1: ECOSMART) in 2008/09. First problem was the spinning on the washer stopped. I called a repair person; it cost me over $200 to fix. Second problem, the dryer just quit working, deader than a doornail! I called a repairman. They said it would cost more for the part than what the dryer is worth! I tossed the Fisher Paykel dryer and bought a Maytag. Now, just this week, the washer stopped spinning again. This time, being ECOSMART, I looked online for COMMON PROBLEMS with these models and found that the water pump gets wet from a leak in the washer and rusts and freezes the water pump which in turn blows out the fuse in the control board. My husband took it apart and it was confirmed... The pump is junk and rusted and the CONTROL BOARD is dead. With a 50 cent fuse, it could fix the problem, but NO, Fisher Paykel doesnt tell you that. They want you to spend $185+ for a new control board to fix their POOR DESIGN! Now, we have to fork out more money to replace this junk water pump to avoid paying for a new washer. Guess what? The new pumps have fuses on them to prevent the control board from blowing out. Well, how bout recalling them and fix the design?!! Just a thought! A Fisher Paykel will not be in my house after this washer DIES again! (Oh, Shame on you, Consumer Reports! I went by your recommendation for these models!) ECOSMART? I think not!

And my wife watches the cooking show and mentioned that Fisher/DCS was one of the good brands and so we purchased a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator. The new refrigerator doesn’t keep things as cool as the old refrigerator does. The drinks and everything else was cold in the refrigerator, not just the freezer. I thought it was the problem of the refrigerator so I had to go to their place. It seems like it’s designed to keep things at around the 40-degree mark and not much colder - I never really had to pay attention to these details before. Maybe it’s the way the refrigerator operates and refrigeration is supposed to happen, how it’s supposed to work. Maybe I’m just used to a refrigerator that keeps everything too cold.

2 yr old Fisher Paykel Dryer - We purchased a Fisher Paykel Washer many years ago that worked great and never needed repair. When we downsized we sold it with our home. We purchased a new FP washer and dryer when we moved to our Condo. Our new dryer stopped working on December 28, 2017. Electronic Motherboard burned out. Was only several months out of warranty. I was told when I called FP Customer Care that because it was only a few months out of Warranty they might refund the service charge (I think this kind of thing must happen often and they want to keep their customers happy). I went to FP Website which works well to locate qualified local service companies. They scheduled me within a week. Aside from being annoyed at the inconvenience of not having the use of my dryer over holidays, things went well in the beginning.Local Service Tech came out on January 2, 2018 with the correct part and repaired quickly. Because it was no longer under warranty I paid $258 for the part and service. I contacted the US Customer Service number that is in New Zealand, not in the US. I emailed them the Original Purchase and Repair receipts. I was finally sent an email with a CASE AUTHORITY NO. ** on January 26. I was told that the service company would refund my money. Turns out that was incorrect information. After another 12 phone calls (it turn out some were made to me from Customer Support using a local New Zealand phone number and, because I redialed in error, I now owe $84 to AT&T for 20 minutes in International charges) I was assured more than once since receiving the CASE AUTHORITY NO. ** on January 26 that a check would be sent within 7-10 business days. No one in Customer Support seems to know how this check will be issued or how it will be sent. Several times one of those I talked to put me on hold to consult with a supervisor. There were many excuses. I was told that the check couldnt be issued through their new system or it was being updated or the order for refund had been sent to the wrong department. It is now March 14, 2018. I will be calling again today. I should be billing them for MY time spent and the International phone calls made in error. (In all my years as a homeowner or in business I have never made International phone calls when calling Customer Service. Sometimes to India or Philippines etc. Who would have thought Customer Service would use a local phone number.) I have reached the end of my patience here. To be continued.

I surprised my wife with a brand-new Fisher Paykel double-drawer dishwasher because I got tired of cleaning and servicing her old one. They are not inexpensive. Within one month, the start button receded into the chassis. The service person found that the lighted collar around the start button was made of cheap plastic and had simply broken making the machine inoperable. I would think for the amount of money that durn machine cost, they could afford to at least make the plastic parts durable enough to last more than a month.

Fisher Paykel Intuitive Dryer - We purchased a new Fisher Paykel washer and dryer three years ago which was installed in our new home on an interior wall with a straight shot through the roof exhaust pipe. After only four months of using the new dryer, the exhaust pipe became stopped-up with a considerable amount of lint. The exhaust cap on the roof had to be removed to allow access for removal of the lint from the exhaust pipe. This process had to be repeated about every 4 to 5 months since. Since the dryer lint basket very seldom collected lint and had to be emptied, four weeks ago we had the service technician out who determined the lint screen had been torn in numerous areas. Since the lint screen is within an enclosed area, he advised there must be some defect in the dryer lint basket which was cutting the screen. Over a period of time if left unchecked, this could have become a fire hazard. Is there something that can be done to prevent this from happening again? If so, please advise.

Took months to get appliances and now it is taking months to fix my 5 year old dishwasher. Paid over $2200. A dishwasher this expensive should last longer than 5 years when it is kept well by owners. Both drawers dont work even though only one is broken. Their suggested repair guy said that the circuit boards used to be separate now there is one for both machines, so if one goes, they both go. Neither he nor I were impressed. After 2 months of waiting for part I called to complain and after an hour on hold was put through to customer service, who were supposed to call me back. I did receive a call that day, but could not hear person, I told them and asked them to call back. You guessed it! Have not heard back from this crappy company. Love, love, love my dishwasher drawers, even though it doesnt clean well consistently. Just nice having two dishwashers. If I could find another company that makes them I would switch. This is not a good company. Plus, my oven is so small, my pizza pan would not fit in this oven and the fridge dints terribly. Do not buy this brand. Go with KitchenAid. Maytag dishwashers suck too. My nice, working KitchenAid dishwasher is sitting in basement. But its white, so doesnt match. But I never had a problem with my KitchenAid fridge or dishwasher. Kenmore oven died, thats why I replaced everything. Wrong choice...

After several attempts to repair my dishwasher, the cause of the problem was found. The circuit board was bad. The board has been replaced three times and each replacement board has gone bad in a short period of time.

You should have minus stars for F & P.8-month old fridge stopped cooling. Called F & P warranty repair, they sent Integrity Appliance. first call to F & P was 6/26/11, over the next 5 weeks they sent Integrity (usually with a long wait between to repair Fan motor control, then main contorl, then temp sensor, then PC fan. Never worked, although repairman declared it fixed. I requested replacement (5 weeks without a cold fridge in summer) and they made noises each time, but still decided on repair. They also said that since I bought from an open box store, they consider it refurb and would only replace with a refurb (watch out for Weiler Group, too- they dont disclose this at time of purchase). I was promised a call from a supervisor Monday 8/1 regarding replacement, but no one called. When I called today they said that theyve been in touch with Integrity and the repair company has ordered the part and is trying to schedule another repair. Integrity left last Fri after replacing the PC fan and again declared it fixed, although it was melting what little I had in the freezer - liquid popsicles and ice cream, soggy frozen peas. So how Integrity knew to order a part tfor something that was fixed... I also submitted my list of lost food (partial, actually, I got tired of making the list and going to the store to check prices) over $200 worth. I was told by F & P to submit a list with prices, since I didnt have photos - when I came home to fing everything spoiled I didnt think of photos I thought of getting the rotten smell out of the house. As to foday theyre going to investigate my claim - so now they seem to be renegging on that too.Since I was 99.999% sure they wouldnt replace the fridge, I spent more of my own money and bought a Kenmore over the weekend - I need a working fridge, and I have no faith in F & P, a company I found to be unethical and dishonorable. What I want now is 1)Id settle for $800 of the &1600 I spent on the useless box they call a fridge and 2) I want the money for my spoilage.

My dryer was going and I recognized it and it was quite old. So rather than putting money into repairing it, I went to a local appliance center here in North Canton thats well known and well respected and they introduced me to the Fisher & Paykel line. I bought a F&P because the warranty was better than everyone else and it has a good reputation... Its a wonderful machine. Its quiet, its efficient and it does a good job!
