My children were asleep and my husband and I were getting ready to get to sleep ourselves. He decided to go downstairs and get some water. He came back up and told me he smelled smoke. We both went downstairs and tried to find where the smell was coming from. Our kitchen filled with smoke, we decided to wake up the kids to get them out of the house. He pulled out the refrigerator when he discovered thats where the smell and smoke coming from. Shortly after that, the bottom of the fridge burst into flames. We used a fire extinguisher and luckily got the fire out. We contacted Frigidaire and their response was that there wasnt much they could do since the fridge was 10 months outside of the 1 year warranty. Even after we had one of their techs come out AND verify the part that burned/melted, they continued to say it was outside the 1 year warranty. They offered to replace the part that burned if we signed something saying they were not liable for anything.

My land lady bought a new refrigerator from Frigidaire at Menards May of 2013. In March of 2014, the freezer went out, lost all our freezer food. Repairman came out once to inspect the problem then several days later to fix. He said the freon was out. He put some in and it worked fine until last week, thats only 4 Months later and its the same problem!! I have been without a fridge for 7 days. Menards passed the buck and so did Frigidaire, will not replace or Give refund for lost food. Repairman came on Friday to see the problem, have to wait 4 days for them coming Out and hopefully will fix it. Will never buy a Frigidaire product!!!

I just ran across this website and had to give my review of Frigidaire appliances that I bought as a full set for a kitchen overhaul. The oven door was the first hint of quality issues. I discovered a spot of rust around the oven window but underneath the coating. It was visible but still felt smooth. I called Frigidaire support and they said it was out of warranty and I must be allowing moisture to get inside the door. I advised them that while I was aware that moisture causes oxidation I was having trouble with the concept of maintaining sufficient moisture upon a vertical surface on the door of an appliance that creates heat being the cause of the oxidation. They finally offer to replace the door skin but only if I used the approved appliance vendor that charges $90 per hour. The skin was only a little over $100 so I decided to save my money towards the purchase of higher quality appliances. My next issue was the microwave which caught on fire at slightly less than three years of age. Based on my previous experience I did not bother to call customer service and was just thankful that once the wiring burned up the fire extinguished itself. (BTW I did not replace the microwave with a Frigidaire, duh!) The final comment is that I just lost a burner on the stove top. The Frigidaire appliances are about 5 years old now. I cant help but reflect on the 30 year old electric GE range on which I never replaced anything.

We have a brand new side-by-side refrigerator, a Frigidaire LFUS2613LEO. Within three weeks, it stopped getting cold in the refrigerator section. Now all our food is spoiling as I write this. This was purchased at Lowes. When we called Lowes, they informed us that there was only a 7-day return policy and that they could not send a repairman for two more days! So here we sit with tons of spoiled food, no fridge for two days and can’t return the piece of junk nor are we compensated for all the lost food. If it breaks down within three weeks, I can only imagine how long it will be before it breaks again. It is obviously a lemon and there is nothing we can do.

The ice maker has not worked right since we purchased the refrigerator (#FGHB2844LF Model, Serial#4A03006967). We have had 3 repairs, going onto 4 repairs for the ice maker. It continues to breakdown and ultimately water leaks out onto my hardwood floor causing damage to the wood. This is a lemon and Frigidaire will not take this back. So fix my floor damage please and I am very dissatisfied with this model, seems repairmen cant fix it.

When we bought our home back in March 2016, we replaced the kitchen appliances with smudge resistant stainless steel Frigidaire ones. We quickly realized that THE HANDLES are not smudge resistant. Annoying. We also noticed that the drawers were so tight and stiff we could barely open and shut them. The company sent us a food grade silicone spray to treat the rails. THEN, 2 months after we got the appliances the motherboard on our dishwasher crapped out. We had to wait 2 weeks for the part to come in. Shortly after, the motor in the ice maker went.Again, replacement needed. Recently, it started being fussy again, requiring the ice to constantly need to be cleared from the blade in the front or it hangs up and won’t spin. And now, AGAIN, the motherboard went on our dishwasher. And we are expecting family from out of town in a week for our daughter’s wedding. At first, Frigidaire offered to pay for the part, but wanted us to pay for the labor, because it was out of warranty, and we didn’t purchase an extended one.So I asked them, How is it, that we spend $580 on a new dishwasher, and we are told we need to spend an extra $100 to $200 in order for the company to stand by their product? I told the Frigidaire representative that I felt like the extended warranty was extortion. I asked her how she would feel, if she spent that kind of money on an appliance and it lasted less than two years? I said that our last home had a cheap KitchenAid builder’s grade dishwasher, and we never had an issue with it in 10 years. She checked with the manager, and then she told me that they would do the repair for free as a one time courtesy. But that I should purchase the extended warranty??? I said no, because if it needs repairs again, I’m getting rid of it.

About 18 months ago, we purchased a Frigidaire Professional Double Convection Oven, a matching Microwave/Hoodfan and a matching Warming Drawer from Sears. Total cost was about $6000 as I recall. All four of the (no name) bulbs in the ovens failed within three months of very limited use, suggesting to me that Frigidaire/Electrolux were using cheap and nasty bulbs of unspecified make which were not fit for the intended purpose. I replaced them all with bulbs from Noma and not one of the four Noma ones has failed since.About 10 months ago, we carried out the recommended self-clean cycle, following which the top oven would not come up to temperature. Sears service was called, took up my time removing the oven from its cabinet and replaced the thermal trip/breaker which is located in an absurdly inaccessible place at the back and behind the oven for a (resettable!) trip. Sears wisely decided to fit a new trip rather than just resetting the original one. Then, about three weeks ago, we noticed that the enamel is failing on the bottom of the top oven casing, clearly the result of faulty manufacturing. It has fallen off in several places. I contacted Sears and they claimed that this was cosmetic and not covered by the extended warranty which I had purchased. At my insistence, their service man came out and inspected it and clearly told me that me his view is that this was not cosmetic but is a manufacturing fault. I was party to his end of the telecon he then had with his supervisor, and it was clear that his supervisor was telling him (from 2000 miles away, never having seen the problem at first hand) that as far as Sears was concerned, it was cosmetic and not covered by warranty. Sears made no reference to Frigidaire on the issue. It was clear that the dishonest Sears supervisor was telling his service technician that he was to tell me that the issue was cosmetic, and appeared to be instructing him that that was what he was to write in his report. I spoke to Sears customer Service (a misnomer if ever there was one) and they told me that the service guy had stated in his report that is was a cosmetic issue, not covered. They then told me that they had ordered a replacement casing (in effect recognizing that it needed replacing) and that I would be charged for it. Well, at some point, theyll be asking me for my credit card Number and no way will I ever be giving them that! We carried out another self-cleaning cycle a couple of weeks ago and the top oven once again will not reach the set temperature. Looks like the issue is not the trip at all, but a more fundamental problem. So, but for the fact that we have the second oven, wed have been ovenless again for some weeks. This week, I phoned Sears and told them that after all these issues over 18 months of very limited and very careful usage, I wanted a replacement oven, as I was unprepared to tolerate such an unreliable and poorly-manufactured product and could not devote yet more of my valuable time to dealing with yet more service calls. They have declined to agree to that.Today, I contacted Frigidaire/Electrolux in Misssauga and spoke to some creature whose English was barely understandable and who basically told me that the whole matter was one for Sears, not Electrolux. I found him obstructive, unhelpful and unworthy of a customer service position. There was no recognition that any of these issues were in any way the responsibility of Frigidaire/Electrolux as the manufacturer of the appliance! So, both Sears and Electrolux will now find that they are having to deal with a Scotsman who doesnt tolerate fools gladly, doesnt tolerate so-called customer service as appalling and unreasonable as this and doesnt tolerate being *** to.I am truly appalled at the obstructive, dishonest and unreasonable attitudes of both Sears and Electrolux and currently await a visit from a senior Sears technician, which is being arranged at my insistence. Neither Sears nor Electrolux give a *** for the fact that a customer has spent several thousand dollars on a major name product branded professional (suggesting superior quality and reliability) which is of unmerchantable and unsatisfactory quality. I wouldnt touch another Frigidaire/Electrolux appliance with a bargepole but this issue is far from over. Watch this space!

My Frigidaire microwave is black and stainless. I love the contemporary look and this one goes well with that look and would also fit in with most styles. I have the one that goes over my stove, had it for over 5 years and it still works very well. I love the fact that I can use the timer and microwave at the same time. The price is in the medium range and the best part is it still looks like new. It is very durable, always functioned well and cleans very easily.

I purchase Frigidaire Gallery appliances in 2013 and did not purchase the extended warranty. I assume the appliances will go bad, my new stove of 4 years died, my refrigerator of 4 years got a ticking noise coming from it, dont know how long my dishwasher will last, dont use it every day like my other appliances. I would advised DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS, THEY ARE NOT GOOD. Frigidaire knows this, that is why they will push customers to purchase a warranty. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE PRODUCTS FROM FRIGIDAIRE. Also I called customer service, and was told I should have purchase that warranty, so this tells me that is making substandard products, and not only do they make money on the product, they are making it on the warranties as well. Shame on you Frigidaire.

My upright freezer was delivered in May 2020. By June the frost-free freezer was forming ice near the door. Took Frigidaire 2 months to mail me a replacement gasket. Before the part arrived the door wouldnt stay shut. Had to put a ratchet strap around it to keep it closed. Gasket arrived and it doesnt fit in the door so falls off immediately. Now the freezer is constantly running trying to stay cool. The contents are melting. Frigidaire is horrible. I tried calling multiple times on Friday but their help desk literally didnt answer, had a message that said they were too busy and it hung up on me. Repeatedly. I emailed them, no response. Called again, sat on hold forever. Their customer service is awful. They wont refund or replace the freezer. They wont refund the $700 of food that is now ruined. I will never buy Frigidaire again. HORRIBLE COMPANY. HORRIBLE PRODUCT. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. HORRIBLE!!!

I purchased the Gallery fridge, stove and dishwasher as I wanted the smudge proof finish. Since day 1 the ice maker has ALWAYS gotten clogged with the ice and either gives you none or it shoots out ice all over the floor. The dishwasher turns itself on randomly if you happen to close the door all the way. The stove smokes terribly if anything gets spilled in the oven. I cleaned the oven three times in two days (self clean) as well as used Easy Off oven cleaner and the stove still smoked when I cooked. Super annoying set that I wish I would not have purchased.

I have had to call them out to adjust the doors. On the second trip I also pointed out the crisper drawers. The wheels are cracking and falling off. I was informed that those parts are not covered under my extended warranty. This was a very cheaply made refrigerator but an expensive one. It is so shoddily made. I only purchased this brand because the rest of the appliances were in the kitchen when we bought this house last year. Never again will I purchase one of their poorly manufactured refrigerator. If I want to fix it I would have to pay 187.00 I was told by the repair man. Its just over a year and half old. There are 2 people in the house over 60 so it was not abused. I have never in my 40 years have had a fridge repair. One fridge lasted over 20 years. Because it was a Whirlpool. Model Number FFHB2750TD Serial Number 4A91210068. Dont buy Frigidaire, Electrolux, and sadly GE appliances (all one company now owned in Sweden). My Frigidaire side by side broke after less than 5 years and the only thing they will offer me after calling twice and speaking with a manager (first supervisors name was ** the second was **) both times is 50% off (not including shipping) a part needed when ordered through them after paying for a diagnostic visit of $78. After doing my research consumers should expect a fridge to last 10-15 years. This company only want to guarantee you that their $1,000-$3,000 product will last a year! After that they believe you should pay more to protect yourself from their poor quality and unreliable product as they will not stand behind and guarantee the quality.I think this is completely unacceptable and disgraceful. And the company could care less. I asked them to allow me a credit of $78 from what I would be paying the repair man quote, towards the part as I felt that would be more fair and they refused. So after paying over $1,000 for their product that failed in less than half its life expectancy they were unwilling to give me a credit of $78 with no remorse. Also while calling for service from local repair people I asked them from their experience who are the best and worst out there for refrigerators and they said best: Maytag and Whirlpool. Worst- Frigidaire/Electrolux /GE. Remember when you shop online and look at reviews- companies pay people to write great reviews but not to write bad ones. So take special note of the poor reviews. Consumer affairs has them as a 1 star company.

We purchased our convection oven, quite expensive, a year ago. Have loved it until the last cleaning. I had a pie run over and I did follow directions of scrapping what I could get off of it. I then ran the self cleaning cycle and when I looked, it was burnt in that area and a dent showed up. I had contacted them before about sending me information on extending the warranty which never showed up in my mailbox. When I called to get a repair service recommendation to come out, as it was still under a year, there were none in my area. So what good is a warranty if no one is in area to fix or look at it? The floor of the oven had to be defective or this wouldnt have happened. I owned a GE before for 3 years and when we sold the house it looked as new as the day we moved in. I followed the directions and this is what happened. I will not recommend Frigidaire to any of our friends.

I’ve had a “new” microwave for 3 years and during this time I’ve had to call in 4 or 5 service request since it’s not working. Since it’s outside of their warranty, they charge $90 per trip fee. If I want to avoid the trip fee, they want me to pay for an extended warranty. Either way, they want more money. This just tells me they are using a defective product & could care less about the customer experience. Horrible accommodations to a client. For the amount they charge & the number of times they’ve been out, I could have easily purchased another appliance. If it was the 1st or 2nd time, I understand. But at this point it tells me you have incompetent contractors “fixing” an item that should have been replaced & an appliance that messes up this many times in such a short amount of time tells me it’s horribly put together. When the original light bulb in the refrigerated section of my Frigidaire side-by-side burnt out, I really didnt think it was so unusual. Ill just purchase a new bulb and replace it. This should be simple. Well, not so simple. Upon attempting to remove the bulb, it would not turn. I was afraid to apply excessive force since I didnt want to break it off in the socket. I couldnt understand why I was having so much difficulty removing a light bulb. So I poked my head in the refrigerator to get a closer look. I was amazed and concerned at what I saw. The bulb had burned the plastic lining above it. The bulb was stuck to the top of the liner. After several more attempts to remove the bulb, I finally succeeded. There is a considerable amount of damage to the liner, including a small hole in the middle of the egg size crater that was created by the hot light bulb. Im not only concerned that this has compromised the cooling capacity of my refrigerator. But that it could be a potential fire hazard. Still, I continue, with increasing doubt, to replace light bulbs with increasing frequency. I just installed the fourth bulb. Please help! Am I and my family in any immediate danger from this defective product?

I have had this appliance for nearly a year, Dec. 30, 2015. Due to illness have not got around to voicing my complaints. This unit was highly praised by the sales man at Coast Appliances, Langley. As there are only the 2 of us to wash for I believed this unit would be ideal for space & efficiency. We cleaned & replaced any of the dryer venting before installation. I think I have given the unit a fair run & can say I am totally dissatisfied with its performance. The dryer will only dry a load on high heavy duty & then it must be full. I cannot dry a smaller load on any setting. Sometimes a small load will take 2 hours to dry. The washer tears clothing, I use tide pods & cleaner as recommended & find that wet clothes often come out with lint stuck to them even a load of delicates that do not contain lint, so I have to sponge lint of many items before I dry them. I also clean the washer & dryer after each load as recommended in the user manual. I am totally disenchanted with this unit that was to be my last washer dryer after 50 plus years of doing laundry. I would not recommend this brand to my friends. Thank you for your attention to, my concerns.

I would caution anyone any one who is considering purchasing a Frigidaire product. We purchased a complete Frigidaire Gallery stainless steel set of appliances for our kitchen. In 10 months, we have had issues with every single appliance. It first started with our fridge. The compressor was bad right when we received it. Our appliance vendor replaced it. Afterwards, it also started leaking water on our hardwood floors in our newly built custom house and spoiled all of our groceries. We called Frigidaire to file a complaint and also asked for a food credit to replace the $700 Costco trip we had just put in there. The response was basically, We dont really care and we dont do food credits anymore - read line 22 of your warranty.”When our appliance vendor finally replaced the fridge (what a battle this was), they gave us a free upgrade to a Frigidaire Professional series. Days after delivery, the fridge leaked a ton of water on the floors again. The repairman came and discovered a bad water valve and repaired it. A couple of months later, our microwave started arching. Talk about a scary and dangerous situation. We had yet another repairman out and he fixed it. While fixing it, he shared with us the philosophy of many appliance companies. They basically make cheap stuff and it needs to be fixed often. It’s a sad realization after you spend thousands on appliances. Just recently, we have had our gas range have a gas valve go bad and then our dishwasher flooded our kitchen due to a bad gasket. I have had to fight with the appliance vendor to get them to take our appliances back and allow us to get another line of them. It has been extremely frustrating. I dont even want to see the Frigidaire logo at this point and will never buy anything from them again. I would caution anyone who is considering Frigidaire. I wouldnt take something of theirs even if it was free.

It had not been running warm, it was not making any noises, the freezer just shot up to 34 degrees and the next morning the refrigerator was at 59 degrees. This is at minimum an $800.00 repair. We did not purchase the extended warranty, it would have been past the time of use anyway. In speaking to customer service at Frigidaire their only response was they will make note of my dissatisfaction with the product she also commented had I purchased the warranty this would have been covered since you have up to 13 years after you buy a product from Frigidaire to get one. Clearly, this company does not care about customer service or making a top notch appliance. The dishwasher died after months requiring a $275.00 repair. We will never purchase another Frigidaire appliance!

Three years ago my husband and I decided to update our kitchen appliances. We purchased a french - double door refrigerator, microwave and wall-mounted oven. Within 3 months we needed to call on a repair for the ice maker. It took 3 visits to get it working. (Our daughter had the same problem with her Frigidaire refrigerator in 4 months). We now have the bottom of our oven warping with 2 cracks in the bottom. You can actually see the element glow through the cracks when the oven is on. I was told not to use it until we could get a repairman out. Its a defect!!! And because we dont have the extended warranty, its not covered. My recommendation to anyone buying a Frigidaire appliance is to get the extended warranty. If they built a quality product, you wouldnt need the extended warranty. They must have an interest in the company selling the warranties. No assistance was offered to resolve this issue. Our purchase was made at Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha, NE. I wish I would have read these reviews first. I will never by another Frigidaire appliance again.

This is about the safety Issue with Frigidaire/Electrolux June 2007 microwave/fan above stove unit. Quite some time ago, the door unit became loose and progressively worse. The problem is that the two door hinges have become broken loose. There are no screws holding the hinge. It is either a cold weld problem or the pressure fit (similar to a pop rivet) has let go. This I feel is a serious product design flaw.

My fridge has not worked since I purchased it in March. It is under warranty and Frigidaire keeps sending people here to look at it. As a result, we had to purchase another fridge (we didnt get another Frigidaire) in the meantime while we worked on replacing this one. The repairman deemed my fridge dead twice and it still wasnt enough for them to replace it. The repairman has been to my house about twice a month since March. As a result, they are now replacing three parts in a brand new fridge to attempt to fix it because yet again, they refuse to replace a brand new fridge even though its under warranty. I have called and left multiple messages on voicemails and have not received a callback. However, in their notes, they have that they called and left me voicemails (which is not true at all). This has been a very frustrating process. The parts to my fridge were suppose to be ordered three weeks ago and when I just called, they were not even ordered yet. Sharon, one of the corp. supervisors, was very helpful and said she would overnight them to repair company. Hopefully, this nightmare ends soon but I am not confident it will. I will never purchase another Frigidaire product again and I dont recommend buying any of their products.

The controls technically simple, which translates to ease of maintenance and repair if necessary, the unit has enough capacity for three to four people. It performs quietly, and this allows you to run it late at night if you leave in a condo. It is pleasing to the eye, and it fits in the same slot where our old unit was installed, so it took about twenty minutes to replace.

I purchased a Frigidaire washer (FAFS4272LW) and dryer on October 1, 2011. Since purchasing these items I have had a major service on the machine at 15 months when the cement block disintegrated causing the machine to stop spinning. Repair cost me $600.00 - NO WARRANTY. Frigidaire/Electrolux did not want to help me stating I did not get extended warranty for this item. Who would think this front load washer of 15 months would have such an issue? I finally got them to replace the cement block but I was to pay for service. 600.00 later the machine is fixed and I am left cleaning the mess the service man did not clean. Fast forward to August 15, 2015. The washer is not yet 4 years old and again the cement block has cracked and I am left without a machine - since this is not covered as I refused to give Frigidaire another penny and purchase an extended warranty. By the way the customer service person told me this part would not be covered pre-existing problem. I just took the machine and junked it. I did go out and purchase a Samsung Top Load AquaJet machine with a five year warranty - anything happens to my machine they will repair it at no cost or replace it. Customer service thanks to PC Richards at its best unlike Electrolux. I will never purchase another item that has the name is GE/Frigidaire/Electrolux again.

I purchased a small wine cooler stainless steel 4 years ago. I admit I didnt get the warranty but did expect it to last more than 3 years. Its been sitting in my kitchen unplugged for last year because it stopped cooling. When I called customer service the most unsettling thing about the whole situation is they didnt want to help me and really didnt show any concern that this refrigerator only lasted me 3 years. When I was done telling my story, the customer service rep offered nothing and asked if we are done. What happened to customer service?? I am the person who will be loyal to a company. Its like I took $300 (not sure of exact price) and just threw out the window... I know life isnt fair but this is just wrong.

We purchased our stove on 7/29/21 and it was delivered and installed by 8/12/21. Used twice and the control panel shut off when I was using the air fryer! So far two service calls have been made and the stove is still not fixed. First service call was on 9/13. Technician didnt have parts and they needed to be ordered. Second time he came on 10/4, replaced the parts and it still didnt work. He suggested we talk to the electrician that did the wiring. Our electrician came out today and everything was good with the electric to the stove. SOOOO, I had to call Frigidaire again to schedule another service call. Its absolutely impossible to get through to customer service and when I did, I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up on me! So I called back and waited on hold again only to be told that the stove will not be replaced until deemed unrepairable! Again, I asked to speak with management and told, I would get a call back in 1-2 days. My next appointment to have the technician come to the house is 10/14!!! Its 10/5/21 and I still have no resolution for my $1800 oven! We basically got a lemon and Frigidaire isnt willing to step up and honor their commitment to good service.

We purchased this higher end Microwave from Frigidaire and the screws to the handle fell into the microwave door panel, one at a time, beginning approximately 14 months after it was purchased. The microwave does not undergo rigorous treatment as it is just two of us who live in my house and we may use it once or twice a day if we use it at all. This does not seem to be an exclusive concern as I see many reports with the same issue on the internet. Instructions to fix it have labels that warn of potential radiation leakage and there is no other viable work around. If Frigidaire is knowingly installing potentially faulty door handles with no easy fix but encouraging customers to use a certified technician and parts for a problem they know the microwave will have, then I think they should be liable for any damages and they should be required to resolve the issue.

Brand new Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher that retails in 2021 for $719 went bad after only 3 months in brand new home! After 3 months whole computer motherboard had to be replaced as well as new pump! This was clearly a lemon and it was only under warranty for 1 year. During the 2nd year, continual problems with pump mechanism and computer motherboard that had to be fixed and wasnt cheap. Today I called Frigidaire (03/16/2021) and spoke to agent Ethan 3:40 PM ET who told me there was nothing that could be done by Frigidaire, that Id have to call my own repairman at my expense. This appliance is clearly a lemon. In fact, when the Frigidaire service repairman came to fix the motherboard and pump when it was under warranty, he said hed never buy one! Have a $3000 + refrigerator that BOTH the crisper door fronts separated and are now unusable. First drawer broke at 18 month. Second drawer broke at 20 months. Just my wife and I, no kids banging them. They are cheaply made. Called customer service. Of course was told that it is out of warranty. One year. I tried to tell the rep that according to research this is common issue for this unit and that drawers have been replaced outside warranty. Was offered to buy another drawer that will break in 18 months. Got nowhere. Told him he left me no choice than to go on social media. Asked him to hold on so I could get some paper to write his name down. He hung up on me. Was transferred to the survey which conveniently could not hear my verbal answers or receive any keypad input so I could not leave a poor rating. They are not going to address ANY needs out of warranty for known defects with their product. Good luck.

I fail to see that on any ad or paperwork at the time of purchase - nor did the repairman say anything about locale, he did state when asked that he would put it in the report that pad was not covered at installation - he did not! Both refrigerator and gas range were delivered April 2018. Refrigerator: By the end of June 2018 I had a warning that the water/refrigerator filters had to be replaced. I was told the filters were good for 6 months!!! Therefore I called Frigidaire dealers in my area to place an order the end of June/1st week July 2018... All of the dealers were out of the filters. Therefore I called Frigidaire. I was told the filters would not be available until October 15th 2018. NOW I HAVE PAID EXTRA MONEY FOR FEATURES ON THIS EXPENSIVE REFRIGERATOR THAT I CANNOT USE. To make a long story short I called Frigidaire for the rest of the year of 2018... In December before Christmas I was told the product would be in and I could pay for the order upfront. I did not received the filters until February 2019. Then, the frame that holds the drawer and shelve intact split. I had to order that in December 2018 as well. Although the refrigerator is not a year old the company would not cover it. I complain about having problems with the frame after delivery... Someone came out but the problem was not resolved. Called Frigidaires customer support. I was told to spray Pam on the drawer in order for it to slide easy!!! Yesterday when I went into my refrigerator I found out theres another break in the plastic frame....in the exact same place the first break was. Here I go again calling Frigidaire again about this lousy product!!!Gas range: I was using my range cooking for the Thanksgiving holidays...and my Carbon Monoxide Alarm went off. I had to get my son, granddaughter and myself out of the house. If I did not have the carbon monoxide alarm it would had been tragic. I called the gas company in my area and they verified it was carbon monoxide... I called Frigidaire and they set up an appointment for someone to come out. Frigidaire gave me the information of the service person and phone number... I took it upon myself to call them a few hours after I spoke with Frigidaire. The service person told me they were no longer doing service calls??? I had to call Frigidaire back to let them know in order for them to reschedule someone else to come out. Within a week a service person came out with new parts for the gas range.

We needed a fully functional, energy efficient refrigerator for a tight spot in our small house, which we bought 15 years ago. We did not want bells and whistles like an ice machine, although this fridge does have the capacity for one, door water dispenser, alarms etc. These items are just more to break, need cleaning and cause problems. We bought the 14 Frigidaire and it has been wonderful. Interior is roomy for the size, electricity use is quite reasonable. It is easy to clean and the gasket has held up well. The small size means that we need to use up leftovers, don't have food waste, and keep it neat. The price was right. Should we need to replace it, we will look at the same brand.

It has been great overall. Product quiet and effective. Not much water waste either for those who don't like to waste. I enjoy it a lot after a hard day of hot work. Cool, sleek design on some products. They're very edgy and give a home or business that extra touch that makes it seem more modern and beautiful. It has never given me any trouble in almost 3 years. Best investment of my life. I just clean it externally and let it rest for a few hours a day. Other than that nothing needs to be done.

We purchased our Frigidaire convection oven at Home Depot about 3 years ago. It has worked great till tonight. We were baking potatoes for dinner (in what we thought was a 400 degree oven) when, after about 30 minutes, the oven started beeping non stop and 'F10' was flashing on the display. The stove top was very hot to touch and a strong electrical smell was filling our house. The oven window was dark brown. I opened the oven door, thinking there was an oven fire and the heat that came from the oven was overwhelming! I was unable to turn off the oven, so my husband finally tripped the breaker. After reading all the other reviews, we will be keeping the breaker off and getting a new oven tomorrow!!

Six years ago I remodeled my kitchen and replaced all the appliances with Frigidaire Gallery (with the exception of my refrigerator which is just Frigidaire.) Since that time all but the microwave has failed in some way multiple times. In this case the oven - the plastic film over the digital display doesnt stay put. It slides down so you cant read the display - you have to take apart the back to glue it back in place only to have it do it again. The front right burner is almost useless. It take so long to heat anything. The oven says it is finished preheating, but when things were coming out uncooked all the way through, I checked the temperature and it runs about 25 degrees lower than its set for. You have to give it another several minutes to heat up to what you have it set to. Yesterday, I heard a pop and black smoke came out the back - the computer board failed. Customer service with Frigidaire is a waste of time. The last time I called them, it was the third time my Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher had failed in four years, twice for the same reason. They offered to sell me an extended warranty for $350. When I said I wouldnt put another dime into this dishwasher, I would buy a new one first, the CS manager laughed at me because the warranty would be cheaper than buying a whole new dishwasher. The local store where I bought it fixed it free of charge. When it failed the fourth time, I bought a Bosch and love it. Im not bothering to call them about the oven - buying a new one (different brand!) today.

I bought a new Frigidaire dishwasher model FFCD2413UW at Lowes. Biggest mistake ever. Problem one, there is no mention anywhere about the fact that you must buy additional parts to install your dishwasher. This caused two 70 mile round trips. Problem two, The door on this dishwasher has no latch. With no latch to click to open it you must employ brute strength to open it.Problem 3, once you get this piece of junk open the door wont stay open. The problems here are numerous but the most aggravating is that when you open the door to load the dishwasher and pull the bottom rack out, the door starts shutting on its own sliding the rack back into the dishwasher. I have been employing a brick to hold the door down while I load the dishwasher. Problem 4, I thought my previous dishwasher was loud. This dishwasher drowns out every other noise by a mile. We have been setting it to come on later, it only has one setting for this, 4 hours. So now around 2 am the entire family meets in the kitchen to find out what the racket is about.

We bought several Frigidaire appliances, including a stove and refrigerator. We purchased the extended warranty on all of the appliances. We have had nothing but trouble with the stove and refrigerator. Both these appliances have been serviced at least 3 times and yet the problems persist. Because the warranty has expired, they will not service them any more, yet the same issues remain. The oven takes forever to heat up, even on quick preheat, and signals that it has reached the pre-set heat level, 200 degrees before reaching it. The fridge leaks water from the ice maker which then freezes on the shelf just above the freezer compartment. We are extremely frustrated and feel the appliances should have been repaired properly in the first place and should be repaired even though the warranty has expired. There is obviously a factory defect in both the stove and fridge. These problems existed from day one. If we could give less than one star, we would, and I would certainly not recommend Frigidaire appliances to any of my friends or relatives.

I have never been so disappointed and angry over a purchase. I recently built my dream home and was very excited. All my appliances are Frigidaire and had always thought it was a solid product. My one yr warranty had come to an end this past May. For several weeks now my dishwasher had not been getting the dishes clean but it would work well enough when run on heavy mode. I do not use it that often so it was more of a bother than anything until I noticed several pieces of wood flooring popping up and realized I had a leak of sorts. The builder came to take a look and we saw that water was pouring out from under the dishwasher. There was mold growing. As luck would have it my ice maker in my Frigidaire freezer stopped working as well. I called Frigidaire and was told I would have to pay for the repairs myself as it 6 months out of warranty. I have such concerns as all my other appliances are made by Frigidaire as well. So now not only are my relatively new appliances not working but I have damage to my new home. All of which I have to pay for because this company did not make a quality product. It is just myself and my daughter who is 7 that live in my home so how much wear and tear can 2 people do in a little over a year. My builder who is one of the largest in this area in NC was disgusted as well by the response from Frigidaire and told me its not the first time he has heard this and will no longer be recommending using them in the homes he builds as he wants to keep his reputation of quality homes. I can only tell people I know to NOT buy products by this company and if you do dont expect them to do the right thing. I had a Kenmore for over 15 years without any problems and I will be replacing my Frigidaire. I understand that things break but when something is so new and has very little wear and tear it is robbery. Now I am left with the repair cost of both as well as the cost of the damage to my new home.

In late November 2015, we remodeled our kitchen and purchased a complete suite of Frigidaire Gallery appliances. We couldnt install the dishwasher until the granite countertops had been fitted so the dishwasher went in last, a few days before Christmas. As soon as it had been plumbed in (at a cost of $120 by our Lowes kitchen fitter), a 15 minutes rinse cycle lasted three hours. I switched it off and reset the machine. Another 25 minutes cycle last four and a half hours. I called Frigidaire and they said that they couldnt get anyone out until January 2016! I called HHGregg who said that its not their normal policy but they would order us a new one, but we had to pay for it over the phone, return the old one to the store (a 64 mile round trip), and then we would get a refund on the original one. So 64 miles later, we had another dishwasher, which my husband had to install, since the kitchen fitter wouldnt come back without another charge. In February, I noticed that the side-by-side refrigerator was dropping temperature on the fridge side. It went from 38F to 14F, up and down wildly, then it would settle back at 38F, then the freezer would start to defrost. In the middle of this, we lost endless amounts of food as it completely froze in the refrigerator and defrosted food in the freezer. Customer service at Frigidaire was dreadful and they would not even guarantee that someone would call you to make an appointment for a further two business days. By this time the fridge went back to its normal temperature. I eventually got them to give me the local Frigidaire repair man and I dealt with him directly. Over period of a month or so, every time he was scheduled to come the fridge worked correctly, then froze everything in sight. Finally, we got it fixed. The damper hadnt been installed correctly and we were a filter missing. Were now holding our breath waiting for the stove or microwave to break down. I will never buy Frigidaire appliances nor will I recommend them.

I purchased Frigidaire Gallery appliances for my new kitchen in 2016. The dishwasher stopped working last January after the extended warranty I purchased had expired. The repairman said the motherboard was burned up. He replaced it, and the cost was around $400. Today it stopped working again. Do not buy Frigidaire, even if the price is tempting. Piece of junk! Getting another brand.

My range is 2 years old and have already had the bottom or the oven replaced 3 times because the porcelain on the bottom cracks, which then sends out a horrible smell and ruins your food. I receive no help from Frigidaire since it is out of its one year manufacture warranty even though the first time was only 4 months old. The Frigidaire company will not even talk to me. When I ask to speak to a manager, I am told their managers do not speak to consumers. My extended warranty is from Lowes; their service center only knows how to answer a question reading off a script. Now my electric board went out so again I go weeks without a oven. What happen to the day when the customer meant something to a business.

I purchased this refrigerator in September 2016. The plastic lining, the doors have all cracked due to the cold temperatures. The plastic started cracking within a year of purchase. I previously had a GE for 15 years and never had any problems. This new fridge has plastic pieces hanging off of them and is visibly horrible. I purchased the warranty and they say it is cosmetic so they will not cover. I have called Frigidaire and they want me to purchase new doors. When I asked to escalate they provided me a P.O Box to write a letter in hopes that I would not bother.I cannot believe that I spent so much money on a horrible product that is cheaply made. We have 4 adults living in our home and expect our fridge to last more than a year. I have a claim currently for my ice maker because it jams, stops working and then drips all along the front side of my fridge. Lets see how that goes. I am writing a letter and I will provide an update if they even respond. DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE! They make cheap faulty products and their warranty and service sucks.

ATTENTION CONSUMERS!!!! DONT BUY!! This is an honest warning from one consumer to another! Don’t buy Frigidaire. They don’t last more than 7 years. I replaced my Kenmore fridge and that’s still making ice and water as we speak in the garage just fine. My fridge from Frigidaire cut out on me 3 times and parts were replaced 3 times at my expense and yet again broke down. My gas range seems to auto ghost mode on at 400 degrees or higher so now I have to keep that unplugged. My dryer was worked on several times and $100’s was poured into my dryer for parts and labor. The washer doesn’t spin the water out of clothes anymore. And now the dishwasher just generates random wash times while in a wash cycle.Frigidaire products are garbage and won’t last. I spoke to a corporate supervisor. And it was a slap to the face to offer me 20% off parts after explaining my situation and what has been going on since I purchased these products. All in all if you want cheap buy from Frigidaire. If you want to talked to like an idiot buy Frigidaire. Or if you truly listen to other consumers go elsewhere!!!

Purchased the Gallery series in 2012. Frigidaire replaced the refrigerator
Purchased the Gallery series in 2012. Frigidaire replaced the refrigerator due to multiple issues with the ice maker. The replaced refrigerator now has issues with the ice maker. Called a repair service and they found that the refrigerator is rusting from the inside out showing me a big rust spot that is leaking on the back of my refrigerator. Obviously have a bigger issue than the ice maker. Repairman tried working with a Frigidaire technician sending pictures 2 times with no luck. I called customer service, they wont let me talk to the technician. Told me to call an approved Frigidaire repair service giving me contact info. One place wont return my calls and the other place wont come because they dont want to get involved because it is out of warranty. I dont think it is normal for your refrigerator to rust from the inside out. Seems like a $2,000 refrigerator (replaced in 2013) should last more than 5 years and it wouldnt be normal to rust from the inside out! What poor customer service. I am out of leads to pursue. Not to mention the microwave burned out and we need to replace the Frigidaire microwave too.

I have owned several stainless steel refrigerators. Whirlpool and GE never had any issues with the stainless steel. The last one I owned I had 10 years and it was placed in the same location in my house with no problems and no rust at all. The Frigidaire I owned less then 2 years and the entire front of both doors are covered in rust. No fault of my own. This they consider to be cosmetic. Absolutely ridiculous. Its cheap quality stainless or a defect. Either way I would not recommend anything stainless steel from frigidaire. They will not back up their products.

So I bought this stove a year ago, a Frigidaire, but made by Electrolux. It is working fine but there are these little rubber feet on the bottom of the cast iron grates that come off (they stick to the enamel surface of the stove) every time you clean under the grates. So after almost a year and having lost eight feet, I decided to call the company and ask that they replace these small rubber feet. So I spoke to Jasmine with customer service and she said these feet are considered cosmetic and she was sorry I would have to buy new ones. Well okay, how much could they be? They are tiny black rubber nipples. Jasmine tells me I can have 8 of them for $29 and they will even give me some glue so they wont come out when you lift the grates. Are you kidding me?! They will give me glue, something that should have been done at the factory. So I asked Jasmine if I could talk to a supervisor. Well it took 28 minutes waiting on the phone for this supervisor. I know they were hoping I would hang up and just forget about it, but this is crazy, the feet probably cost 5 cents to produce. So charge me fifty cents. That’s $4.00 for 8 feet, Ill do it. The supervisor finally comes on. Her name is Jennifer. She can get me 16 rubber feet for the $29 and she wont charge me shipping. By this time I am fuming but remain polite and tell her I will not pay for something that should have been installed properly in the first place and that I believed this was a scam by the manufacturer. I will not let this rest because I told her these little rubber feet will create thousands of dollars of negative publicity for this greedy company that has no customer service whatsoever. I am not an idiot and I will not be cheated.

So far to date, our microwave since we bought these products has been serviced 3 times because the time is always running fast. Service tech has been out and changed the board with no results. It still runs fast and we keep being told the same thing. It can only be the board, yet the problem still remains. Also, we almost had a fire because the element in the oven warped and touched the bottom plate of the oven causing the plate to melt. Still with the stove, the light that shows you that the surface is hot dimly flickers all the time even though the stove has not been in use. They have been out to fix this problem as well saying a ground wire is loose, but it still does it. The built in vacuum that we purchased overheats all the time and after running it for about 5 minutes and then shutting it down, it wont start until it cools down. Had the motor replaced once already and it still doing it now. On to the latest problem, our dishwasher started leaking last night. Thought maybe just need a new door seal. Upon doing a look see, found out the water was not coming from the seal but rather from water hitting the door and coming out the bottom. After taking the dishwasher apart to see why the water was hitting the door in this fashion, I found holes in the bottom spray arm. These holes had been melted from the heater coil in the bottom of the dishwasher and the heater coil is warped in such a fashion that continued use will definitely cause a fire.

We bought this Frigidaire model a few years ago when our old one stopped working. I like Frigidaire products, they are normally well-made and reliable and last for years. The fridge itself is performing well, I wish it didnt have glass shelves, and was a bit larger, but it was all we could afford on our budget. We have had to replace the door handle already, it has a weak point near its upper mount. While its serves us well otherwise, I only wish wed been able to purchase a more upscale model.

2 years ago, we bought a slide-in convection range, dishwasher, washer, dryer, microwave and side-by-side refrigerator from their Professional Series. 13 months after using the range occasionally, the computer board malfunctioned because we used the self-cleaning option. Now 2 years later, the same thing has happened to our dishwasher.I contacted customer service and was told in so many words that this is a normal occurrence. And when she found out we had not purchased the extended warranty, they basically said get lost. After a heated discussion, she has offered to send a replacement for the dishwasher. After calling their service people, we discovered the labor to repair it will be almost half the cost we paid for it. They manufacture subpar appliances. It is unreal how many people they are taking advantage.

After 9 months of frustration and three failed attempts to repair our fridge, Frigidaire replaced our unit with an identical unit. I had to request a supervisor multiple times, but the supervisor was understanding. Immediately when we plugged in the replacement we noticed a difference in the operation making even clearer that our initial unit was a lemon. I also complained on Electrolux and Frigidaires Facebook pages and they sent a $100 gift card to help cover food spoilage. Lowes protection plan also covered $130 for food loss. Since Frigidaire did give us a warranty replacement I updated my rating to 3 stars from 1, but since the process and experience were not what I expected from spending hard earned money we will not be buying another Frigidaire or Electrolux product.

It works well and keeps the bedroom cold like I like it for next to no money extra on the bill. Turn it on for couple hours in the morning and evening and it's great. Works great on the upstairs bedroom better than any other we've had. Makes it cool. Used less than 5 hours a day. Used in peak season during the hottest part of the day. Not big and clunky like some other models. Does what it is supposed to do without being cumbersome or daunting or a sore thumb. Have had it for two years without a problem yet. Had fridge for three years, broke 5 times. Two different repair places came to fix it. Fresno was bad, Bakersfield was even worse. Bakersfield tech was great but said Frigidaire has a policy that they have to try to fix it even if it cant be fixed, it would take three attempts to try to fix it. The receptionist lost our or forgot our appointments as she chuckled, but thats another review at a later time. Now Frigidaire said it would take 4 attempt to fix it. Same error code on fridge, same parts repaired on fridge 4 times. I have emails from first manager stating 3 times, now today they say 4. Kind of funny, the story keeps changing. Frigidaire claims until cost-prohibitive - it cost me 1500 plus extended warranty 500 plus 300 for food that went bad over a three-week period for each repair to be completed. So Im out 2300 now, not sure what they deem cost-prohibitive.

I bought the gallery series Refrigerator, Range, Dishwasher, Microwave on 11/18/2014. On 7/1/2015 the refrigerator (model# FGHS2655PF) quit working completely. I could not get anyone at customer until the next day and my service appointment was not until 7/6/2015 because they only have one service provider for the whole Cincinnati area. I had to leave work early to meet the repairman, only to have him say he needs to order parts and come back on 7/9/2015. Had to take off work again to meet repairman and to have him tell me he needs more parts and needs to come out again on 7/11/2015 to then tell me he cant fix it after 3 1/2 hours. The whole time that I talked to Frigidaire they did not care that I lost everything in my refrigerator (approx $200) or that I didnt have a refrigerator at all for the last 10 days. They still have to review whether they are even going to replace it. $1000 refrigerator lasted 7 1/2 months? What has happened to FRIGIDAIRE? They used to be the brand I sought out to buy.

We live in California and purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator to put in our newly built vacation home in Arizona. I only wished I would have looked at ALL of the reviews prior to choosing this brand. Our new home was ready 2 mos earlier than expected. We called Home Depot, where we purchased it from, to get a earlier delivery date. No problem... we scheduled it and traveled the 6 hours to spend the weekend and accept delivery of our refrigerator. The refrigerator arrived, installed and THOUGHT it was good to go. The next morning we realized the refrigerator was not cooling. We could hear it running but not cold at all. Long story (which it is) short.... we finally got someone from frigidaire to listen and they said they could not replace the broken refrigerator, they had to send someone out to try and fix it. WHAT???? we do not live in AZ it is our vacation home and we are already back in CA. The rudeness and lack of compassion was unacceptable, but nothing I could do. They scheduled a service tech to come out (yes, I had to find someone in the new neighborhood that I didnt really know to give my key to so they could let them in). The service tech said it was not repairable ... DUH. I gave them the date we were returning and they said no problem.... they will deliver then. NOPE. I received the automated call saying they would be there. Waited home all day. They did not come. I finally got hold of the delivery Manager and he said they didnt even have the refrigerator in their warehouse yet. They finally, after 6 more frantic calls from me, delivered a day later at 8:30pm!!!! The NEW refrigerator makes noise and you cant see the digital display that says water, cube, crushed ice) it does not light up. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ELECTROLUX/FRIGIDAIRE!!!! Frigidaire Gallery Series purchased in October 2013 are bad. Purchased Dishwasher, Microwave and slide in Oven cost approximately $4300. Today, March 28th, not three months since installed, My Microwave has been pulled off the wall as it has per the service Person a bad magnetron and there are probably more issues. My dishwasher has a bad sprayer arm which doesnt drain before cycle complete causing all the lower clean dry dishes to be soaked all over again. This issue had two service calls and an order for a replacement sprayer arm but still the same issue. As per the service folks, the engineering team has been advised they are looking to correct the issue. The oven grates have rubber tips that melt and now there is constant vibration. A kit is available but it doesnt address the issue. I am now out a microwave. Have to be real careful whenever I am emptying the dishwasher and the stove grates vibrate whenever I turn on the oven. Looking for productive comments. No trash talk. I can do that myself. Yes, I have contacted the Frigidaire website with my warranty issues.

I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator back in November 2011. It had the refrigerator on top and the freezer drawer was on the bottom. The Icemaker that dispensed ice was up in the freezer section. I found a couple weeks ago after pulling the refrigerator out to investigate something that there was a chunk of ice that had eaten its way through the back of the refrigerator and was rusting up all around it. When the repairman came out, he said it was a common defect found with this model (#FGHB2844LF7) because Frigidaire had not put any sealant around the ice maker so the air from the fridge was making direct contact with the air in the ice maker and was causing ice buildup in the ice maker which built up over time. The result was that the build up of ice ate a hole through the back of the refrigerator and that it was losing efficiency. The worst part was that as the ice would melt and drip down over time, it was slowly working into the wood floor and causing it to warp. If you have this product, I would look into this to ensure you dont have the issue. The repairman said this product should have been recalled years ago.

This may come as a surprise to many people, but Frigidaire is NOT part of General Motors. In 1979, General Motors sold the Frigidaire line to White Consolidated Industries (WCI). Less than a decade later, in 1986, the Swedish company Electrolux purchased WCI. Today, ELECTROLUX REMAINS THE OWNER OF the FRIGIDAIRE group. So while Electrolux might have been good at making vacuum cleaners, they apparently have problems with larger appliances. I noticed an another post that somebody mentioned American made in reference to his refrigerator. I am not sure if this applies to everything with the Electrolux/Frigidaire label, but mine is clearly labeled Made in Mexico.

Customer service nightmare. I purchased all new kitchen appliances from Frigidaire back in October. My microwave has broken twice. That is not the good part though. I have had to contact Frigidaire who also offers no advice. The truth is that the nuts on top of the microwave are not attached and rolling around loose in the machine. So there is nothing for the bolts to screw into. I have explained this again and again and nobody there understands what nuts are or the purpose of them. Frigidaire cannot wrap their brains around that and keep telling me there is nothing more that they can do. I have had a defective microwave in my kitchen since. I purchased the Frigidaire stand up freezer/fridge combo when I built my house. The matching set cost me $5,000 for it. Within the first year of purchase the fridge went out and Frigidaire sent out a technician to repair. Unit should have been replaced while under warranty but they did not want to hear it. Skip forward to some time later, I paid for the extended warranty for the fridge and the icebox but was refunded my money just on the fridge because it was broken under warranty and they would not cover up as I was told but unfortunately for me the rep in customer service didnt seem to put that in the computer and only put refunded due to being broken when it wasnt. Now my unit is out and I questioned them about it. They send me with the runaround. All my appliances in my home are Frigidaire. I will be replacing everything in my house to get the name Frigidaire out of it. I am out now $500 dollars as I paid for a repair service to come look at it and replace items that were replaced before because they broke the first time and Frigidaire doesnt seem to care. We bought a new home in 09/13, we upgraded our appliance package to the tune of 1800.00 dollars above the amount allotted by the builder. We had nothing but problems with the appliances. Dishwasher, stove, and now the fridge. Yes I understand they are just over 5yrs old. But when we bought the appliances we made sure of the warranties on the units. typical warranty 1yr complete, 5yr compressor. Weve had to have the fridge serviced a couple times over the years, and Frigidaire {Electrolux} has been aware that there was a problem with the compressor. So fast forward a couple months, now the unit is completely off warranty. Low and behold they will not warranty the compressor. Sorry of which they have changed their warranties to now only be 1 yr for the complete fridges, no compressor warranties beyond the year. But they would gladly sell me a NEW compressor to the cost of 495.00 canadian, shipped. But I must have a Frigidaire approved installer put it in at the cost of 695.00, bringing the total repair to 1100.00 Well we decided to just scrap the fridge since the repair is so costly, and no guarantee it would last. So why not just buy a new Fridge from another manufacturer. Oh ya did I mention Samsung, Dayco and numerous other manufacturers have increased the warranty periods on their refrigerators. The last time I ever buy a Frigidaire or Electrolux product ever. Also I will make sure as many people know as possible that they do not stand behind their product.

I got a new house, and I and my wife went appliance shopping. We got sold on Frigidaire Professional series appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher). I gotta say ever since I had them, I have always had issues with them. You would think you spend over $3,000 on appliances and they would last over 4-5 years. First, the refrigerator started acting up, then 2 heating coils broke on the flat-top oven. The microwave shorted out, and my dishwasher control board caught fire and almost burned my house down (Thank God, I was up and smelled it.). I contacted Frigidaire, and they took no responsibility at all. They told me it would be a few weeks and I would get some info in the mail. Needless to say, I never received it; and a second call to Frigidaire has the same outcome. Being in the customer service field, I say Shame on Frigidaire. I share my horror story with every customer I can. Theres no accountability, respect, integrity, or servanthood on Frigidaires part. With the customer service I have received, I will never purchase another Frigidaire/Electrolux product. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I will not be fooled again by Frigidaire products. They received my payment once but lost a potential lifetime customer. When I am asked by others on what appliances they should purchase and which company will stand by their products, Frigidaire/Electrolux will be the one I tell them to stay away from. Not only will the appliances malfunction prematurely, but they are a safety hazard in your home. At this point, I have no Frigidaire/Electrolux products in my home (Craigslist free ad with warnings). My wife and I both decided they are not worth keeping for family safety reasons.

We purchased a new double oven in fall of 2010. Within the first 6 months we noticed that the upper oven starting burning everything - even after just a few minutes. We called for service and it was found that the upper oven had warped and as a result, the entire stove was replaced as no expense to us. In September of 2013 we noticed that the racks in the lower oven were not longer safe. They had to be balanced and fell if any weight was put on them. I called for service and the tech came out to tell us that the lower oven cavity would have to be replaced. This is less than a 2 year old stove - and my 2nd problem with the ovens expanding. I contacted Fridgidaires customer service who at first were not helpful at all because it was beyond the 1 year warranty. I tried to express my concern about the safety and asked about liability if the rack fell and someone was burned...they then indicated that the oven could be repaired but it was very labor intense and as a gesture, they would pay for the parts if we paid for labor. Getting quotes of several hundreds of dollars, we decided to replace the stove with a different brand at our expense. I had contacted Fridgidaire to see if they would like the stove back to research how it can fail twice in less than 3 years but they told me to dispose of it. So after spending $1600 for a new Gallery series Double oven - I am left with trash at the curb after less than 2 years (on the replacement oven). I am disgusted and mad that Fridgidaire was so complacent about the failure of their product - not once but TWICE. And my reward was --- it is out of warranty. My prior stove was 12 years old and was never serviced and this piece of crap was serviced multiple times and replaced due to defects. And I am left with the bill... great company - avoid this company at all costs...It will leave you without nothing.

I am very upset that I did not do my homework before I purchased my new kitchen. In 2007, we had a fire in our home and had to have all of our appliances replaced. I did not have a lot of time to do online research because we were busy working at our home trying to get moved back in, so now I am paying the price. The range keeps blowing the electronic board and thermosensor from overheating (which wouldnt you expect a range top to get hot), even though I had the recall done, which was supposed to correct the issue. I am very upset about Frigidaire not recalling their faulty products, as I am sure they know that they have a design issue in these ranges.I just hope that consumers research complaints about Frigidaire because they will see how poorly made their appliances are. As everyone else has said, SHAME ON YOU FRIGIDAIRE. It is sad to see expensive appliance products made in the USA that are of such low quality that you have to replace them in just a few years. Consumers be wary of anything that Frigidaire makes.

I purchased a custom size Frigidaire cook top stove, and paid over 1200.00. After just 4 years of minimal use, the oven heat was measured 110 degrees colder than the usual 350. The repair man had to send it out for repairs and it will cost over 400.00 to fix it. I called and left messages at the customer service department, all to no avail. I dont expect to have it fixed for free since it is 4 years old and not 3, however I thought Frigidaire was a reputable company who would like to stand by their products. The run around I received was unheard of and I maintained civility at all times. I am very disappointed with Frigidaire, will never buy another product or recommend them to anyone.

We spent $2000.00 on a new refrigerator, The Gallery. The ice maker on the outside AND the inside freezer doesnt work. The freezer door handle fell off after two months. Customer Service NEVER followed thru on their service calls, then told me we were considered too rural so they would not come to fix it. They gave me an out of service phone number for someone who would supposedly come fix it. We tried to just fix the ice maker ourselves, to no avail. I finally called them again, only to be put on hold for over 30 minutes. I got thru to someone who PROMISED a phone call back in three business days. That was last week. Still no response. NEVER will I buy from Frigidaire again! They should be ashamed of how they treat people!

I have been trying to contact Frigidaire about a problem with the ice maker in my less than one year old really expensive French door refrigerator. I have never gotten anyone on the phone. I finally got the company, Lowes, to send someone out to look at the fridge. They contacted Frigidaire and they said they wouldnt fix it and that its working properly. Im in tears over spending $2,000 on an appliance that is crap from a company that is cheap and wont answer their phone. I have no idea what to do at this point.

Frigidaire makes the crappiest appliances on the planet. I have had Frigidaire refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers in homes and apartments where I have lived over the years. They have all been substandard, cheap appliances that are inferior when working, and prone to frequent breakdowns. I have had to replace many a Frigidaire product over the years. DO NOT BUY A FRIGIDAIRE ANYTHING!!!

I bought my fridge at Teppermans in Windsor. The staff were hard to find and when I did they disregarded my questions and made me feel like I was bothering them because I was multi buying for a discount, I had to tell them it was on sale as they didnt recognize the sale and were trying to tell me they were not on sale until after about 3 sales people tried to find the sale on it and embarrassed me as if I was lying or trying to get it cheaper than regular price and that it was a cheaper brand, I finally proved them right and they didnt apologise, They thought they can make me pay the price on the sticker. I was so upset and wonder how many customers they do that to. My fridge had many problems and they would not fix it. Gave me a hard time so I will not shop there no more and my fridge lasted 5 yrs only.

I purchased the Frigidaire Gallery oven-range 22yrs ago (Gallery series still sold) & it as well as my same brand/series refrigerator have been reliable with no component failures from the burners to timer to the oven warmer (and ice maker)-the oven-range retains a modern look & fairly easy to clean.

The 24-inch gas wall ovens are not displayed in stores. So, I made my purchase online from Airport Home Appliances. The difference in the appearance of the oven online and in person was as different as night and day. The oven sits too far off the cabinet. Which did not show online. There’s no frame around the oven, so it looks unfinished. The interior of the oven sides, door and gauges were not even. The bottom drawer was uneven, flimsy, and the parts inside were bent and didnt close completely. Airport Home Appliance agreed regarding the defective/damaged oven and ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, the 2nd oven had the same issues. They did remove the oven from my home. I paid $1699.00 for this oven, not including taxes and installation. Airport Appliances have told me it was manufactured that way and can’t promise me a refund. The oven was removed from my home. So now I have no oven and missing $2000.00.
