SENSOR QUICK TEST SENSOR COOKING DIAGNOSIS
Simultaneously touch and hold keypads 7 & 8 and record the number showing in the display

If the number showing is between 15 and 185 then the reading is more than likely normal; however you need to go one step further and verify by performing a "SENSOR DETECTOR TEST"
If the number showing in the display is higher than 213 you more than likely have on of the following problems; sensor failed open, sensor unplugged, wiring, or smart board.
If the number showing in the display is less than 6 you more than likely have s shorted sensor, or a defective board.

FAULT "F" CODES SENSOR SELF DIAGNOSTICS
F0 Humidity sensor program (open or shorted) at the start of cooking program. Press keypads 7 & 8 simultaneously and read sensor value showing in the display. Compare the sensor "Quick Test" values to determine is there a problem.

F4 Open humidity sensor during cooking process. Sensor was open for a period of over 60 seconds during the cooking process.
F5 Shorted humidity sensor during cooking process. Sensor was shorted for a period of over 5 seconds during the cooking process.

GAS/HUMIDITY SENSOR DETECTION TEST
The Gas/Humidity sensor detects both humidity (steam) and hydrocarbons (food odors) during sensor cooking modes.

Place a 1/3 cup of hot water in the center of the microwave oven.
Push the "VEGETABLE" pad of the key panel ("FRESH VEGGIES: will scroll across the display).
Push "START"
Simultaneously touch keypads 7 & 8 and record diagnostic numbers in the display (example: 42)
The unit will begin heating the water and will display "FRESH-VG", until it reaches humidity "detection". When humidity "detection" occurs, the control will beep and begin counting down. At the end of the cycle the control will beep and oven will shut off.

I purchased an over the stove microwave 2.5 years ago for under $350. It has worked well but the glass turntable was broken on our granite counter top. The cost for a replacement it $140! I have found that Frigidaire not only offers very poor quality products but poorly designed ones also. I will never again purchase anything from Frigidaire or Electrolux.

Run, dont walk away from this deplorable company. I replaced ALL my kitchen appliances October 2016 with the Frigidaire Gallery series through Home Depot. Ive had 5 service calls on the refrigerator. The last serviceman advised me, Thats just the way it was made, theres nothing I can do. My most recent complaint was the handle on the dishwasher is rusting! After 22 minutes on hold I was told by the customer service rep that, If you look on page 22 on your owner’s manual, you will see that rust inside and outside the unit is not covered. After speaking with a manager, as a goodwill gesture she mailed me a new handle. Really. Goodwill? Why dont you manufacture decent products and goodwill would be implied. Consider yourselves forewarned. Dont be foolish. Dont spend your money on Frigidaire appliances.

Lets just start off with, dont even bother with this company! I purchased a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator less than 4 years ago, and I have had NOTHING but problems! A week after the 1 year factory warranty was up my refrigerator stopped working, I lost all of the food in it. A week later it was finally fix, only to have it break again a month later! Then it was great for about 2 years... And THEN my freezer side broke, it literally just stopped working, first the ice maker, then the food wasnt freezing, then it was just done. LOST ALL OF MY FREEZER FOOD, AND IT WAS SO PACKED...ugh.Called to get it fixed, AND of course my extended warranty that I purchased after the factory one expired was already done. So yep...less than 4 years 3-4 different issues needing to be fixed, not ok. I called the company, of course they couldnt do anything to help me. I emailed back and forth with the company and they said they cant guarantee their products after the factory warranty is up, things cant last forever. Yeah ok... So basically Im done with this company, hopefully everyone starts to realize soon as well! A large expensive appliance should definitely last longer then theirs do.

New stove and the smell that comes off of it goes in to the food that I am trying to cook in the oven... Have ran it through a clean but it still smells and smokes. NEVER buy a Frigidaire stove. If I cant get rid of the smell in one more cleaning I will need to scrap the stove and get a different brand. They dont care as when I called they just said, Yes, it will smell for a while because of the oil etc. in the stove. Not good... Your eyes burn when it runs a clean and there isnt anything in the oven. I am just running another clean to burn off the crap... But it doesnt seem to be working. UNHEALTHY.

We bought a Gallery Frigidaire refrigerator in May 2016, within a week we knew it was not working properly. After at least 10 service call by Judd & Black a local business our unit was finally replaced by Electrolux. Now 10 months later our new unit does not cool. We are beyond frustrated to say the least. How can a family be expected to take this amount of time off for the service calls and not to mention the amount of food that has been wasted. So here we are almost 2 weeks without a refrigerator AGAIN.

I built a new home and needed a counter depth refrigerator. Being there are few to choose from, I chose the Frigidaire Gallery line for its fingerprintless stainless steel look. I have had the repair people here 3 times already because they cannot get the doors on the side-by-side refrigerator to line up. The crisper drawers squeal terribly when you slide them in and out because there are no rollers. Just plastic gliding on plastic (dumb design), and my food gets frozen in the crisper drawer randomly. The dishwasher develops a foul odor unless you leave the door open all the time. The consumer hot line told me this was normal and I need to run white vinegar through it occasionally. Well, my kitchen is small and leaving the door open in a real pain. The microwave doesnt have a reheat button on it, instead they labeled a button chicken nuggets. What? So far so good on the electric range, but it is hard to keep it from looking smeared as it is a solid black. Shame on me for not going over every detail while shopping I guess, but my 20-year-old Whirlpool and Maytag appliances were better made for sure. Disappointed :(

I purchased a side-by-side refrigerator with front ice dispenser on 5/15/11 for approximately $1200.00.Within a few months the ice dispenser would not dispense ice. I called Frigidaire and they gave me a company to repair which were a no show thrice. I called again and they set me up with a new repair company which to date has been here four times. They have spent about $880 to fix it and replaced everything. I called Frigidaire today to complain and request a new refrigerator as this is obviously unfixable. The representative told me about 6 times they would continue to attempt to fix it and their warranty is very clear that they dont have to replace it and there is no such thing as a lemon law for refrigerators. My concern is that they will ride this out to beyond the year or not correctly repair so that when the year is up I’d be stuck with a bad dispenser. They are sending the same parts they just put on and sending the tech back for the 5th time rather than admit it is a defective fridge and replacing it because under federal law they dont have to, the representative told me several times. In one year I will have no recourse and a bad fridge.

I bought a Frigidaire fridge last January. It had a warped freezer door. After waiting for months with no part availability, I was extended a buyback letter. I filled it out and sent it back before the expiration date. I’ve been waiting for the refund since September and have never received it even though it is only supposed to take a few weeks to complete. I’ve made numerous phone calls, but just keep getting the runaround. In a few weeks, it will be a year that I’ve been dealing with this. It’s ridiculous and I cannot find anyone that will answer an email or help me resolve this. I had to pay more money out of pocket to have a working fridge.

My husband and I purchased all new Frigidaire Gallery Appliances on 3-22-2014. On August 5, 2018 the compressor went out on the refrigerator with no warning at all. It had not been running warm, it was not making any noises, the freezer just shot up to 34 degrees and the next morning the refrigerator was at 59 degrees. This is at minimum an $800.00 repair. We did not purchase the extended warranty, it would have been past the time of use anyway. In speaking to customer service at Frigidaire their only response was they will make note of my dissatisfaction with the product she also commented had I purchased the warranty this would have been covered since you have up to 13 years after you buy a product from Frigidaire to get one. Clearly, this company does not care about customer service or making a top notch appliance. The dishwasher died after months requiring a $275.00 repair. We will never purchase another Frigidaire appliance!

Purchased a Frigidaire cooktop stove in 10/19/2019. Model # FFGC3626SSE Serial # 3F92501805. Order #**. At Home Depot. A week ago. I turned on one of the burners and I couldnt turn it off. Had a panic attack that I couldnt shut the gas off. The knob just spun around on the shaft. I pulled off one of the other knobs and used it to shut the gas off. I looked at that knob and it was cracked too. The other 3 knobs were split also. One more is ready to brake. I’m afraid to use my stove. All 5 Knobs are defective! I read CNN said Frigidaire is closing their Memphis factory, and laying off 530 people in 2020. Not good. Frigidaire customer service told me knobs were considered cosmetic and not covered in the 1 yr. I asked how can such an essential part of the stove be considered cosmetic? No knobs. No gas. No cook! All I got was I would have to pay out of my pocket for 5 new knobs. Cost $221.63 and they were out of stock. I would have to wait till May 28. Told her that was not acceptable. Said they would give me half price if they could find another co. to get them from. Was told today (4/1/20) they couldnt. Now, because they couldnt get them anywhere else, the half price was off the table.I did some research and found a co. (Marcone) that has 19. Told Frigidaire. They said they didnt do business with Marcone a nationwide co. They took my info and said they would look into it. Still waiting. I have a cooktop stove with one burner out and 4 others ready to go out and no help in sight, without having to paying 1/3 the price of the cooktop and wait almost 2 mo. for knobs. Ill never buy another Electrolux product again!! In January my daughter bought us a Frigidaire refrigerator. Had one in the 80s. It lasted over 10 years. Bad mistake. I feel it’s a ticking time bomb.

What the hell happened to this company? Their customer service sucks. I wish Id read YELP before buying a Frigidaire Refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. 3 months after buying my new appliances the fridge stopped working properly. It would fluctuate between being too cold, and not cold enough. First repairman came out and said it could be a number of things, so he ordered them to be delivered to my house and scheduled an appointment. I waited all day with no contact or repairman showing up.I called in. First I called the serviceman, no answer. Next called Electrolux 844 number and waited on hold for 40 minutes listening to someone telling me the call would be answered by the next, blah, blah, blah. Then I hung up and called back... 20 minutes later they still didn’t answer so I called Frigidaire. A woman answered and told me one part was backordered, and they had attempted to call me Nov. 30th. Well that was a lie...no one called. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was put on hold for another 20 minutes. At that time I hung up and called back. The next agent said that no one had tried to call. So, now I find out that they knew the part wasn’t available but didn’t attempt to call me... The first woman had lied trying to make the fact that no one showed (when I took the day off) my fault. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor who said they are now attempting to find the part from another supplier and will call me to schedule a time once they locate it. Ill patiently sit here holding my breath. Frigidaire is an inexpensive brand... Now I know why. Spend a little more and get a better product with a company that has better service.

We bought this Frigidaire model a few years ago when our old one stopped working. I like Frigidaire products, they are normally well-made and reliable and last for years. The fridge itself is performing well, I wish it didnt have glass shelves, and was a bit larger, but it was all we could afford on our budget. We have had to replace the door handle already, it has a weak point near its upper mount. While its serves us well otherwise, I only wish wed been able to purchase a more upscale model.

Purchased in 2011 all Professional Series Appliances from Frigidaire in my new home: Refrigerator Model FPHB2099LF5 Ice Maker failed under extended services warranty and was replaced. Ice Maker replacement never really performed well and I had quality issues with its performance. The ice maker ultimately destroyed my refrigerator as it froze, caused leaking in the bottom of my freezer and literally iced through the REAR of the refrigerator causing it to Rust, build up ICE and leak, it cause water damage to my subfloor and my tile kitchen floor was destroyed. I got ZERO response from Frigidaire Product Managers on File ** after requesting something in writing on what caused this problem. The refrigerator literally ICE through the REAR and had a giant rust spot. Customer Service basically said product managers would not respond and put it back on the service technician who said theres no remediation. Its a defective product and poorly engineered in my opinion. All you get is its out of Warranty!3 days earlier I tossed the Professional Series Dishwasher because it failed to start, some keypad buttons wouldnt work, the interior racks had all rusted through the coatings. The silverware holder had holes all over it. Ive Serviced my professional Series Microwave as its failed. Its working well now. My Professional Series double wall oven doesnt cook evenly when both oven are running. The bottom always takes longer to cook at the same temperature. I have problems with the racks falling in both ovens when putting 15-25 lb turkey or higher weight items on them. The top oven bottom looks like its buckling. The issue with the racks could be related if we did a self clean with the racks still in it. I cant see how a self clean would cause that much of an issue with the size shelves.

We renovated a 1971 kitchen only 2 years ago and purchased the Frigidaire professional series: oven, fridge and dishwasher for a total of $5,000 through Sears. The side by side fridge doors never have closed properly from day one. When you close one side, the other side pops open and remains ajar. For the last year, weve had problems with the panel on the stove. The element buttons work occasionally and weve had to trip the breaker because weve had so much trouble with the cancel button not working. I, too, thought Frigidaire was an established brand name and would have quality products. We live in a remote northern Canadian town where repair services are not available. I would never purchase Frigidaire again and certainly after reading the other posts, I am on my way to check the bulb in my fridge.

On June 11, 2014 I purchased Frigidaire Air Conditioner - Model FFTA1422Q2 - Serial No. KK3 through P.C. Richards, which was delivered on June 19, 2014 and installed the following day. I completed and mailed in my registration on July 1, 2014. I used the unit during the summers of 2014 and 2015. I tried turning it on again on Friday, May 27, 2016 and the unit would not cool. On Saturday May 28, 2016 I called the Frigidaire Customer Service number 800-944-9044 only to get a recording to contact 2 different service companies, one in Laurelton, NY and the other in Deer Park, NY. Neither of these numbers were operational.I then called PC Richards Customer Service to find a repair service that handles Frigidaire units so that I would not void my warranty. They gave me Aid Audio & Television Service Corp. I tried reaching them but due to the holiday weekend I could not get through until Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Told them the unit was not cooling and the first appointment I could get was Friday, 6/10/16. When the serviceman arrived he said I needed a new control board and the office would call me on Monday June 13, 2016 with the cost. When I did not hear from them on Monday, I called them back twice and could not get an answer. I then contacted PC Richards Customer Service department and spoke with Ellen. She called and spoke with Soma who said that Paul would be back in touch with me. He called me later in the day and told me that it would cost me $416.00 plus tax for the part and labor, which included the $95.00 I had already paid for the service call. I told them I would let them know.I felt this was ludicrous and I then contacted Frigidaire Customer Service on Wednesday June 15, 2016 and spoke with Linda. She agreed and did not think I even needed a control board since it was operational, it just wasnt cooling. She told me the main control board would be $85.56, a display board was $52.41 and a control panel with overlay would be $23.51. She felt another service company should come and look at the unit at no charge if the problem was in the sealed system, otherwise I would be charged. She made arrangements with Petro Home Services to look at the unit on Monday 6/20/16. The service man determined that I had lost the Freon and needed to put in a sealant and replace the Freon. On 6/22/16 I was told by Kelly at Frigidaire that parts were being ordered at no charge.Petro returned on June 24, 2016 and took the unit out of the sleeve again only to find out that I needed a new compressor as well. At first I was told that the part was covered, but I would have to pay the labor charge of $500.00. I again called Frigidaire and spoke with Chanel who confirmed that I would not be responsible for any payments. The compressor was ordered (Part #5304476923). I have now been told by Petro Home Services that there was no ETA on this part. I again called Frigidaire on June 30, 2016 and spoke with Sandra and requested a new unit. She very blatantly told me that the unit was repairable, not replaceable.I wrote to Frigidaire telling them it has now been 6 weeks that I have been without an air conditioner, with my apartment reading 90 degrees in the middle of a heat wave. I am a senior citizen and cannot live in these conditions. I either need this unit to be repaired immediately; replace the unit with a brand new one or refund me so that I can purchase another air conditioner. I am tired of getting a run-around and need immediate action, otherwise I will purchase another unit and take action against Frigidaire. With no response I bought another air conditioner that is working beautifully. They finally came and repaired the broken one with a new compressor and freon and I sold it at a loss, but at least my apartment has been cool the rest of the summer. I would never purchase another Frigidaire product again and would certainly make sure my relatives and friends would not either.

I recently remodeled my kitchen. I bought all the professional series Frigidaire appliances. I wish I had not done that. They were very expensive. I can not believe how cheaply made they are and feel as well. The appliances are not even 3 months old and yet I have had the service tech/company to my home 3 times already. Microwave will not heat. My refrigerator barely makes ice yet the cooling drawer freezes everything (This is a drawer inside the refrigerator that should keep things a little colder than the rest of the refrigerator). I have had to throw out vegetables and other food as it freezes everything. The dishwasher racks are so flimsy... I get nervous that it will not be able to hold the weight of dishes or glasses that I put on them. I would love to have my reliable old appliances back that did not cost me a fortune. I would not recommend buying anything Frigidaire. I would recommend GE profile and or Kenmore. Never ever had a problem with these reliable brands.

Has made my summer very comfortable and relaxing without having to worry about the heat. The air conditioner runs cold and is an extremely great product. Will always stick with this brand. The performance of the air conditioner is extremely well. It has multiple settings to help improve a better experience for those hot summer days. It has a great look to it as well as being easy to use. White in color, multiple settings, easy to see buttons, clear writing as well as big buttons. I haven't had any problems with this product. It has been very reliable, the filter has stayed very clean throughout the summer without having to be cleaned or replaced. It turns on no problems and cools down a room extremely quickly.

Brand new Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher that retails in 2021 for $719 went bad after only 3 months in brand new home! After 3 months whole computer motherboard had to be replaced as well as new pump! This was clearly a lemon and it was only under warranty for 1 year. During the 2nd year, continual problems with pump mechanism and computer motherboard that had to be fixed and wasnt cheap. Today I called Frigidaire (03/16/2021) and spoke to agent Ethan 3:40 PM ET who told me there was nothing that could be done by Frigidaire, that Id have to call my own repairman at my expense. This appliance is clearly a lemon. In fact, when the Frigidaire service repairman came to fix the motherboard and pump when it was under warranty, he said hed never buy one! My advice: DONT EVER BUY A FRIGIDAIRE APPLIANCE!!!

My children were asleep and my husband and I were getting ready to get to sleep ourselves. He decided to go downstairs and get some water. He came back up and told me he smelled smoke. We both went downstairs and tried to find where the smell was coming from. Our kitchen filled with smoke, we decided to wake up the kids to get them out of the house. He pulled out the refrigerator when he discovered thats where the smell and smoke coming from. Shortly after that, the bottom of the fridge burst into flames. We used a fire extinguisher and luckily got the fire out. We contacted Frigidaire and their response was that there wasnt much they could do since the fridge was 10 months outside of the 1 year warranty. Even after we had one of their techs come out AND verify the part that burned/melted, they continued to say it was outside the 1 year warranty. They offered to replace the part that burned if we signed something saying they were not liable for anything.

I contacted a repair service recommended by Frigidaire. They checked the appliance and ordered parts. When they came back and removed microwave - found it was burnt out and notified the company immediately on 6/9/14. Told me if I didnt hear from Frigidaire in a couple of days to contact them with ref. number. I contacted Frigidaire after 3 days and was told by a lovely lady the paperwork is not processed yet but she will do it and give them a week. I called back a week later and was told by that representative they were waiting for pictures etc before they can process my claim. No one told the repair company or myself this was needed. Now I have to wait for these to be processed again. Repair company emailing today. Each time I called Frigidaire I had a minimum of 20 minutes wait to talk to a representative. I have gotten Frigidaire products in past and purchased the refrigerator and top oven at the same time as the microwave but I will not be purchasing any Frigidaire products again!!

I bought 4 Frigidaire appliances 3 years ago and have already had 4 service calls - 2 to fix a recurring problem with the refrigerator. The customer support is unhelpful and unsympathetic to their expensive yet cheaply made appliances. I would recommend that someone thinking about buying Frigidaire appliances reconsider and go with a different brand. I have been extremely disappointed.

On April 4, 2015, I was preheating my Frigidaire wall oven at 400 degrees F. Luckily, I was standing in the kitchen, because the heating element caught on fire for no apparent reason. I turned the oven off and the fire went out. There was no food in the oven or on the heating element. I called their customer service department and talked to a representative, who insinuated that I caused the problem by allowing food to remain on the heating element, which is completely untrue. I am frustrated and will never purchase any appliance or anything from Frigidaire again.

2 years ago I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and paid 850.00. I understood it was inexpensive but it was a small apartment sized refrigerator and had no bells, no whistles and so one would assume that the price was right for what you were getting, WRONG. This fridge may as well be a polished **. Just 1 month out of warranty the control board failed, so the freezer and the fridge compartments were warm and the control board just flashed. I paid to replace the control board with a new OEM from the manufacturer board, and this part cost me 200.00 But now just yesterday 7 months later the control board stopped working again and did exactly what the original one did. We are 5 days to Christmas and me without and once again without our Frigidaire fridge. 1,050.00 invested now in a small fridge and its just a stainless steel polish on a **.

I would prefer no stars but unfortunately I was not given that option! I will never again purchase anything made by Frigidaire or their partners. I bought a stop top from them when we built our house 12 years ago. After 7 or 8 years, one of the switches broke. There was no problem with this. But when we called to get the replacement part ($123 plus S&H), what they sent us was not the original part. It had been replaced by a very poor quality universal part. I called to tell them that this part would not last and that I was sure it would break again. Their customer service department gave us no options! Well, a couple of years later, the part did indeed break again. We called CS again and was told that they would be glad to sell us another switch and that a repair technician would have to come and replace it. We would have to pay for that charge as well. After much hassle on the phone, they finally agreed to have him come out at no charge to us, because they thought we were not placing the switch in correctly and that was surely the reason it broke! Well, once again, the switch has broken. Our only recourse is to buy a 3rd switch for another $123 plus S&H. I have several issues with Frigidaire in regards to this issue! First, only one person that I spoke to today even tried to be helpful. I was transferred to multiple people and all of them seemed to be confused as to what they were supposed to be doing. They obviously do not understand what customer service really is. They kept asking me what I wanted from them. I told them the problem again and again and asked for a permanent solution to a very expensive problem! After replacing this switch 3 or 4 times, I could buy a new stop top! Not one person offered to send a new part out for free because of this being an on-going problem! Now, that would have gotten a raving fans review! I understand that they dont want to sell me replacement parts. They want to sell me a new stove top! But that is not what I expect from a company that advertises their products as top of the line and high in performance etc. Secondly, it is a crying shame for them to charge $123 for a small switch that probably cost them $5 or $10 to make! That is price gouging if I have ever heard of it. And the last time I checked, price gouging is illegal! I am so disappointed in this company and it is very unfortunate, because overall, I love the stovetop. When it has to be replaced however, it will definitely not be replaced with another Frigidaire product! I am curious to know if other people have had problems with this replacement switch (part no. 318078200)! This is the first time I have ever rated an experience with such negativity, but this has been the most frustrating situation! By the way, I found the switch on www.knobshopper.com for $29. Now what does that tell you?

Remodeled my kitchen less than 3 years ago purchasing all new appliances, range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave oven, all purchased, delivered and installed on the same day. About 3 months ago I started having trouble with dishwasher whereas all lights on panel lit up and would not go off. Followed instructions to reset same result an error code stating that the control board was bad, mind you weve only used this dishwasher roughly 12 times since purchase or 4 times a year during holidays. I have posted complaints and placed phone calls with zero response. The holidays are here and I am unable to use my dishwasher which just makes it an unusable brick in my kitchen. Additionally my refrigerator is not working properly either. It wont hold temperature, the filter leaks and seems to ice up everything. Ive reset a number of times after which is the only time it works properly for a few days then back to chaos freezing everything on both sides. Im really hoping planned obsolescence lasts longer than 2.5 years. In the meantime, I dont feel that I should be needing a new dishwasher after only 12 uses of that. Ive also heard there may be a recall on my machine, but I dont know, because no one responds! Can someone please get back to us?

When I moved into my house in July 2012, the Frigidaire kitchen appliances were all new: refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, and microwave. They were the lower-end Frigidaire models -- but I was okay without having any bells and whistles. I registered them all right away. Within 6 months, one of the refrigerator door shelves had cracked in half (apparently a gallon of milk was too heavy for it), so I had to buy a replacement part. Within 18 months, the door switch on the microwave malfunctioned -- which meant that anytime the microwave door was closed, the microwave turned on! (Thank goodness that happened while we were home, or I imagine my house would have caught fire!) It was past the one-year warranty, and customer service was horrible and unhelpful. I would have had to pay a minimum of $150 to have it even looked at, plus the parts and labor, plus the cost to have a handyman take it down and then put it back up.The customer service representative even admitted that it wasnt worth repairing. I gave the broken microwave to the metal recycling guys and bought a Samsung (which I love). Now, a little over 2 years since I moved in, the glass inside the oven door SHATTERED when we turned the oven up to 425F to make a pizza. (I have a photo but I am not able to upload to this site.) Im thinking there must be a faulty seal in the door, but I really cant be sure how this even happened. Glass particles are falling out of the bottom of the door, so now we have to be careful when we walk in the kitchen. I am going to demand a new oven door from Frigidaire customer service: But at this point, Im saving up to buy a new gas range. I will NEVER buy a Frigidaire product again.

The $900 refrigerator started giving us problems about 2 months after purchasing (made strange clicking and buzzing sounds and would stop cooling and had to be unplugged and then re-plugged into the outlet a couple of times to get it to start working). Fast forward to the present (5 months after purchasing) and the refrigerator and freezer have stopped working permanently (despite unplugging and re-plugging as originally suggested by Frigidaire customer service). After waiting nearly an hour to speak to a person, I managed to get Frigidaire to arrange for a repairman who told us the compressor was shot and the entire unit would have to be replaced. Learned that Frigidaire and its service partners DO NOT COMMUNICATE after another nearly one hour wait on Frigidaires customer service number (when I finally got a person, I waited another 20 minutes as the rep called the repair service to confirm what Id been told). While the repairman had told me the refrigerator would be replaced, Frigidaire says they will first have to check if parts are available (a compressor and a heater). I am now waiting for Frigidaire Corporate to reach out to me with details on how they plan to honor their standard 12-month manufacturers warranty (I should hear back within 72 hours according to what I was told by the service rep). Weve now been without a refrigerator for over one week without any idea of how long it will take to get this situation resolved. According to other reviews Ive read, it may well take over a month!

Door handle broke on refrigerator. Freezer ok. Company replaced with 2 handles. New handle broke again. I replaced with 2nd new handle and called company as I have extended warranty. Was told warranty does not cover cosmetic damage. Took handle off freezer door and put on fridge door, which also broke. My wife and I are in our 70s & we couldnt abuse our appliances if we tried. Im sure you have had an epidemic on broken door handles on this model. I might add I was treated rather abruptly and dismissively when I called. I chose not to renew my extended warranty for obvious reasons as I plan to move off in another direction.

I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery gas Range from Sears. In 4 months the touch pad stopped working. First one number didnt respond. So, we stopped using the 1 digit. Soon another then another stopped working. The Sears warranty was invalid. So I replaced the $120 touch pad myself. While taking out the old part I noticed how poorly the thing was put together. All the screws were over-torqued cracking the plastic parts in many places. I replaced the touch pad and it worked fine. Then 2 more months went by and the electronic brain shorted out in a thunderstorm. Again, Sears would not do anything about it so I replaced the part myself. Now the new Sears replacement touch pad is starting to not work again! We now have to cook without the #3. So 350 degrees is 400 degrees or 299. It is so frustrating. We bought a whole suite of appliances. Frigidaire dishwasher was so bad that we had Sears come and get it the day after it was installed and they replaced it with a Kenmore when I complained repeatedly. The refrigerator works, but is noisy. I will never shop at Sears again and I recommend that you buy nothing there. They do not back up what they sell!

We purchased a new house and we were thrilled to have all new Frigidaire Professional Appliances installed. We immediately had problems with our refrigerator. The seals in both doors are still not working properly after having been replaced. It has randomly stopped working for no apparent reason. We have had a door replaced on it (as it was dented upon arrival). I have asked for a replacement as it is not reliable but because it is still under warranty they will not replace the unit, just continue to try and fix it. Our dishwasher has also needed replacement parts (we have been in this house around 6 months now) as it was not heating properly. The latch on our microwave was not working so when the service company went to replace it, they broke off some plastic parts and currently it does not work at all. Three appliances all with problems within the first 6 months. I have been a homeowner for years and never had such challenges or problems in the past.

It had an energy saving device which helped reduce my summer electric bills. It was easy to operate. The air conditioner produced cold air efficiently for over 20 years. It was very quiet. There was little vibration. The operation of the unit had energy efficiency. In 20 years I only had two service calls to have it repaired and one was simply a freon leak. It was a room air conditioner that fit into the wall. It fit securely and did not detract from the room decor. It came in decorator colors that were neutral so that it blended well with my living room decor. It was very non intrusive. This air conditioner operated efficiently for over 20 years. After I sold the house the new owners were still using it in the humid New England summers. Two service calls in all that time speaks volumes for its reliability.

Customer service nightmare. I purchased all new kitchen appliances from Frigidaire back in October. My microwave has broken twice. That is not the good part though. They sent someone out to reinstall the new one and they told me that the screws didnt match up so they could not install it. This was 5 weeks ago. They gave me numbers to call. No one calls me back. I have had to contact Frigidaire who also offers no advice. The truth is that the nuts on top of the microwave are not attached and rolling around loose in the machine. So there is nothing for the bolts to screw into. I have explained this again and again and nobody there understands what nuts are or the purpose of them. Frigidaire cannot wrap their brains around that and keep telling me there is nothing more that they can do. I have had a defective microwave in my kitchen since. This dishwasher hasnt worked correctly since first purchasing it in Feb 2020. I tried to return it to Amazon within weeks of initially buying it and was told I would have to try to get it fixed through the warranty. Amazon would not accept a return without an outside company verifying that it could not be fixed. Now- 10 months later, Ive been working with Frigidaire/Electrolux warranty repair and it is a NIGHTMARE. DO NOT buy any Frigidaire or Electrolux products. They are crap, their warranty relies on certified repair people to come out and those repair people are scamming.I have been getting multiple emails for months saying the repair people have ordered parts and they have arrived and when I call to schedule the appointment for them to come out as instructed, they tell me they have no parts and they will have to order them. Its very obvious that the repair company is ordering parts from Frigidaire and using them for something other than fixing my machine. Frigidaire will not do anything when I tell them that the repair people are lying saying that they are coming out with parts. All they tell me is that it has to be fixed because the repair company is saying it can be fixed. Its been 11 months now. Im saying that they can not fix it if it has been 11 months. I wish I would have read a review like this when trying to decide which brand to go with. My advice is go with ANY BRAND OTHER THAN FRIGIDAIRE AND AMAZON.

I contacted Frigidaire online and requested if the face plate could be obtained separately and/or if there was any financial assistance they could provide. Their email declined any financial assistance towards the repair due to the stove being out of warranty and ignored my question about obtaining only the needed faceplate. They suggested I contact customer service which I did and they reiterated that nothing could be done to assist with my issue other than purchase the control panel for $378. In May 2015 we bought a brand new/just built home in RI. We bought 4 Frigidaire appliances for the kitchen (Microwave, Stove, Refrigerator, and dishwasher). In May 2016 I PAID Electrolux/Frigidaire to extend my warranty on the refrigerator. In the last week, Ive received multiple emails from Best Buy offering to extend my warranty on ALL this equipment. I called Electrolux/Frigidaire to clarify the status of the refrigerator, AND I dug into my files to find the 2016 agreement. To my shock, I discovered that the agreement I paid for in 2016 listed a completely different refrigerator, that THEIR records claimed Id bought from Lowes in 2014! Ive NEVER bought any appliance at Lowes, and in 2014 I lived in a completely different town and state than they had listed. This was DEMONSTRABLY THEIR DATA-CAPTURE PROBLEM. I wanted them to honor the warranty I PAID FOR and apply it to the correct appliance, the one that is actually standing in my kitchen now... The one I bought in 2015. THEN, I would have re-upped the contract, which was due to run out a month from now. THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT. Their only offer, return to me the pro-rated amount of my premium, which means probably 2 or 3 dollars. Meanwhile, IF my refrigerator had suffered a problem a month ago, or last year, I would NOT have been covered. In closing the data mistake could NOT have been made by me. It is literally impossible that I could have randomly invented model and serial numbers that match a refrigerator that is a different model, bought in a different year, from a different big box store. So, its demonstrably Electrolux/Frigidaire fault. And WHAT are they willing to do to make it right? NOTHING. ZERO. NADA. I shall never again buy: another Electrolux/Frigidaire product, or an extended warranty from ANY company. They are (Ill use the word again) DEMONSTRABLY a RIP-OFF!

As with another review, I also tried not to give any stars but was unable to. I purchased both a Frigidaire fridge and dishwasher in May 2011. I hadnt even had the fridge 3 months before experiencing problems. The food in the bottom tray of the fridge kept freezing and the ice dispenser would not dispense ice. I was provided with three services companies which I could contact according to Frigidaire since the product was under warranty. I scheduled my first appointment, just to have the service man inform me that Frigidaire has been having many issues with this fridge and he didnt have the part that was needed and would need to come back. He came back and installed the correct part, so the fridge would dispense ice but yet the food in the bottom tray was still freezing. A few months later the fridge stopped dispensing ice again.I called and made another appointment, just to have the service man come out and say I see what its doing and when I run all the tests it is passing, but I need to call the manufacturer and they are closed. Having to schedule another appointment which I did, just to have the same thing happen again!! This has been an ongoing issue for about 5-6 months now. All of a sudden the dishwasher is now falling apart as well. I have asked numerous times for a refund and have been told unless you have had three services and them manufacturer deems the product un-repairable, we cannot offer you a refund. In such an economy when people have to work to pay for appliances costing $2000 they expect people to work around their schedule, because it seems like they are never open. I will never purchase another appliance from this manufacturer ever again. I would much rather pay a little bit more if I had to just to avoid the headaches and excuses I have had to deal with.

I purchased a Frigidaire 27.86 cu ft FD REF LGH from Lowes on 10.5.14 and had it delivered to my new home on 1.28.15. Less than a year later the ice maker started dripping water on the wood floor and stopped making ice. I contacted Frigidaire who said that since it was over a year old, it was not under warranty and it would cost over $300 to repair through one of their recommended repair companies. The female customer service rep asked me if I would like to purchase an extended warranty for $500.After several back and forth calls to customer service about the situation I ended up paying $300 for a five-year extended warranty. The repair company came out, said he needed to order the part, and weeks later came out to repair the ice maker which is now doing the same thing again. The repairman said he would probably see me every year because it is a problem with these models having the ice maker in the refrigerator door instead of the freezer door. When I called Frigidaire this morning, the customer no service person was very rude and would not even allow me to speak. She kept talking over me, giving me the same repair company in my area and a warranty number for the service. When I asked her if there was any possible option to replace the refrigerator with another model, she said, No. I responded with, So, am I stuck with this high-end expensive but faulty design until I purchase another brand? She said, Yes, thats it! I do not recommend anyone to purchase any Frigidaire products. They have a serious customer service and customer relations issue, and they do not back their products. I am now still waiting for the Frigidaire authorized warranty repair service to call me back from over two hours ago. Last time I had to take off two days work for this repair. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager (I think it was the same person back on the line) I was finally able to get 50% off the part only. They would not stand behind a 3 year old product. That in itself tells you something. Not only did I have to pay $100 to find out the freezers compressor was bad but I lost over $800 worth of food that spoiled. Never again will I purchase a Frigidaire product. I paid $125.00 more than I paid for the Frigidaire in 2015 and got a Maytag with a 10 year guarantee on the compressor. Be very careful before you purchase a product made by this company.

We bought our appliances 4 yrs ago. Dishwasher doesnt clean good and started leaking after 3 weeks. REFRIGERATOR has been garbage from the get go. We paid 2500 for a refrigerator that only had a yr warranty. So far we have spent another 1000 on it because its junk! I will never purchase Frigidaire products again. I have a GE refrigerator that we have had for 20 yrs and it works better than the new one. Needless to say I will seek out old appliances before I ever buy a new one again. They made them cheap, sell them for thousands and rip off the consumer. Nothing like big business!!

We purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in May of this year. Because of the pandemic, I received my fridge in July. Initially the fridge worked very well. We use it in the garage only for bottled water and Gatorade. We were not planning to use it in the winter as it is not “garage ready”. Towards the end of August, we noticed a small crack in the bottom floor of the fridge. We should have taken a picture of it...lesson learned! It is now the beginning of October and the crack has started to open up with the edges of the plastic curling up and exposing insulation. The plastic surrounding the crack is now starting to bubble and looks like it may follow in cracking. I have plenty of pictures. I tried to contact Frigidaire but all I can get are recordings (“due to high customer call volume “) that direct me to a local repair shop since my fridge is only a few months old. The repair shop was very good and sent the pics of the fridge directly to Frigidaire. However, Frigidaire claims the damage is not covered and blames me for dropping something on the plastic causing the damage. As far as I know, nothing has been dropped in the fridge. Even if a plastic water bottle was dropped, I am amazed that it cause a cracked in plastic that is now deep enough to expose insulation. I also don’t understand how all of the plastic is bubbling up underneath. That is MOST DEFINITELY not caused by something being dropped. When I called to follow up on the case number given by the local shop, Frigidaire operator is a recording saying they are unable to take any calls. For a company as big as this, with products as expensive as theirs, how is this acceptable customer service?! You can’t even reach them!! Totally unacceptable and I will never be purchasing a Frigidaire product again. I will most definitely be leaving a review on my YouTube channel detailing my experience with this company.

The ice maker has not worked right since we purchased the refrigerator (#FGHB2844LF Model, Serial#4A03006967). We have had 3 repairs, going onto 4 repairs for the ice maker. It continues to breakdown and ultimately water leaks out onto my hardwood floor causing damage to the wood. This is a lemon and Frigidaire will not take this back. So fix my floor damage please and I am very dissatisfied with this model, seems repairmen cant fix it.

On Christmas morning I turned our Frigidaire range on to cook our Christmas turkey. Our stove is only 2.5 years old. There was a loud pop and I turned to see flames coming from the back of the stove licking at the wall. My husband quickly pulled the range away from the wall as I shut the stove down. The flames subsided but thick black smoke was still coming from the back panel. Never will I buy a Frigidaire appliance again. We could have lost our home on Christmas morning if we hadnt been in the kitchen. Cooking a turkey for a group of guests on an outdoor grill in 40 degree weather is miserable. Thank you Frigidaire for your junk... Your Frigidaire dishwasher starts by itself so it is unplugged... Your Frigidaire microwave with vent is worthless. We are replacing these new Frigidaire products one at a time for our familys safety.

I would like to know how to pursue a complaint. The $625 Frigidaire dishwasher requires a new control/console which with labor is about half what I paid for the thing. The door handle is looser on the microwave every day I notice and soon will fall into the door according to other review. Had to replace motherboard in range while still under warranty. So how can we make their rip off cost them some money for a change?

I purchased a custom size Frigidaire cook top stove, and paid over 1200.00. After just 4 years of minimal use, the oven heat was measured 110 degrees colder than the usual 350. The repair man had to send it out for repairs and it will cost over 400.00 to fix it. I called and left messages at the customer service department, all to no avail. I dont expect to have it fixed for free since it is 4 years old and not 3, however I thought Frigidaire was a reputable company who would like to stand by their products. The run around I received was unheard of and I maintained civility at all times. I am very disappointed with Frigidaire, will never buy another product or recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in Oct 14 for my man cave. The reason was for the ice. The ice maker has frozen up on me 3 times, April 15 (under warranty), April 16 and the last time December 16. I paid to have it repaired in April 16. So after the third time I thought I would try the factory again, yea right. Was just told that it is not unusual for this to happen and as far as they were concerned, the product is out of warranty. We have a GE Profile at the house that is approximately 9 years old and have never had a problem. I need the ice so I think I will go get another GE refrigerator and set this one on the curb with a FREE sign on it. I will also start telling everyone I know or dont know, as I walk down the aisle at Lowes, that you really dont want to be purchasing this product because if you read the other reviews, Frigidaire should be recalling this model of refrigerator.

The oven had not been on for over 16 hours. I was across the room when the door exploded (not fell and broke). Small pieces of glass (most about the size of large ice cream salt) covered the floor. I was standing at the cabinet about 4 feet away and it hit my feet and legs. If I had been at home alone, I would have not been able to move since this glass covered the floor. If there had been a small child there, it could have hit them in the face. I realized it is 10 months out of warranty and your company is not going to accept responsibility for the defect in the glass door. Of course, I would like for this to happen since an exploding glass door is obviously a defect. At least, I would ask that you recall this model before someone is seriously injured. How many complaints have you had about this?

Had a home built and the builder provided the kitchen appliances without any extended warranties. Neither the builder nor Frigidaire will do anything about it as they are over a year old. The handle of the over-the-stove microwave broke first. Next was the ice maker in the side-by-side refrigerator. That was then followed by the cooling unit breaking (resulting in a large loss of food). Most recently, the heating element within the dishwasher actually melted a hole through the bottom of the dishwasher. When Frigidaire was called about each one of these things the answer was the same: There is nothing we can do. I strongly recommend no one buys anything from this company as their products are garbage and their customer service is non-existent.

I purchased a 26 Frigidaire fridge from Leons on Sep 26, 2012… On March 25, 2016 at 4 a.m. our power went out and we immediately smelled a terrible burning electrical odor. We searched our whole house and the only place that we could really smell it strongly was in the laundry room where I have my Frigidaire fridge. We called the fire department as the smell was so toxic and they came in with flashlights and searched our whole home. They sensed the smell was from the Frigidaire fridge that they had pulled out from the wall, however, did not see anything. They left and advised to check around once the power came back on. The power came back on at 7 am and the smell was even worse than before. The strongest smell was coming from the laundry room. My son was standing by the Frigidaire fridge when all of sudden he heard a sizzling sound and then flames radiating from the back of the fridge.I ran and unplugged the fridge, and he ran to the garage to get the fire extinguisher (thank God we had a fire extinguisher!!!). Also, thank God the firemen had pulled out the fridge away from the wall or the whole wall and baseboards would have been engulfed in flames. We managed to put out the fire and there was so much toxic smoke we called the fire department once again to make sure that the fire was out. The firemen came and aired out our home and ensure us the fire had been properly extinguished and commended my son on his fast thinking. I have since written to Frigidaire with my complaint several days ago to call me as soon as possible and to date have not heard a word from them. Is this legal or do I need to apply to small claims court and have them charged with almost burning down my home and providing an inferior dangerous product? I tremble to think had we all left to go to work and this had happened while we were not at home, I would not have a home today and our dog would be dead! This is unacceptable and I think its time after reading all of these complaints that this company is held accountable for the product that they offering to the public and to compensate clients who had the faith in purchasing their product that they were purchasing a reliable, dependable product. Does someone need to die in a fire for them to be charged or sued? I will pursue legal litigation unless I hear back from Frigidaire soon and they compensate me for not having a fridge any longer that I depend on every day and for the frightening experience me and my family had to endure!

He used an adhesive to complete the seal. By Sunday, May 1, 2016, it was leaking again. There is a serious flaw in this refrigerator. Please do not purchase this model refrigerator. We purchased our stove on 7/29/21 and it was delivered and installed by 8/12/21. Used twice and the control panel shut off when I was using the air fryer! So far two service calls have been made and the stove is still not fixed. First service call was on 9/13. Technician didnt have parts and they needed to be ordered. Second time he came on 10/4, replaced the parts and it still didnt work. He suggested we talk to the electrician that did the wiring. Our electrician came out today and everything was good with the electric to the stove. SOOOO, I had to call Frigidaire again to schedule another service call. Its absolutely impossible to get through to customer service and when I did, I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up on me! So I called back and waited on hold again only to be told that the stove will not be replaced until deemed unrepairable! Again, I asked to speak with management and told, I would get a call back in 1-2 days. My next appointment to have the technician come to the house is 10/14!!! Its 10/5/21 and I still have no resolution for my $1800 oven! We basically got a lemon and Frigidaire isnt willing to step up and honor their commitment to good service.

I purchased my electric range stove in July of 2019. On January 5th 2020 my stove sounded like a bomb going off. The glass exploded out the top burning my sons face and hair destroying my floor, burned my cabinets and destroyed my above range microwave. I have now been told that this is a normal issue and it is a user error because apparently to much heat or something accidentally boiling over can cause this to happen. I was told that you can find this in the user manual that if it gets to hot or something boils over it can do this. I have been searching this manual to find this B.S. of a statement with no such luck. Frigidaire has been the worst company to deal with and for them to tell us that to much heat on the stove and it exploding is a user error is beyond disgusting. I bought a fridge with an ice maker in the fridge. For the first 8 months the ice maker made 120 to 150 small cubes of ice daily and worked to my satisfaction. Then the ice production dropped to about 40 to 50 cubes daily. After almost a dozen service calls the unit was replaced with a new fridge. For about 8 months the second unit worked as described in the manual making 120 to 150 small cubes in a 24 hour period. Again the ice production dropped to 30 to 40 cubes daily. This time after 3 service calls from 2 different companies I was told by Frigidaire that the unit is working properly and the ice maker is only a convenience and they have left me hanging with an ice maker that does not produce ice. The technician that came out said the ice maker temp was 28 degrees and too warm. Should be 9 degrees. Frigidaire tech support said it is working properly so I got hung out with nothing.I wrote the CEO Mr. Shaw and his assistant called me and said nothing they can do and Mr. Shaw does not even know there is an issue because he gets screened from everything. I will never purchase another Frigidaire product. A friend has the same unit with the same issue. Consumers please beware of Frigidaire Gallery product line. We have had it serviced four times and it is only just bit over a year old. Twice for the same issue of freezing all of our food on the fridge side and once for leaving metal shaving in our ice bin from the ice maker. Now our liner on our refrigerator is splitting apart and cracking all over the inside. The way that the Frigidaire company wants to fix it is with tape. The tape is the width of duct tape and white the same thickness as duct tape. So the repairman will put a piece the size of the cracks and stick them on our refrigerator. This is not an appropriate way to repair a $1500.00 appliance. Its like putting band aids all over the inside of our refrigerator. If they cannot make an appropriate repair then our appliance should be replaced. How will I clean the tape? I thought it was a joke when the repairman told me what Frigidaire said to him for this repair!! No one would want tape on the inside of their fridge. Things spill knock over. Its going to be so messy and really embarrassing when people open my fridge. Frigidaire you should be ashamed. What poor customer service. My husband and I have both been on the phone with them for over an hour and they will not help us and insist we have to use tape. What low standards you have set for what was thought to be a fine product. I have wasted $1500.00 on a refrigerator that will now have tape all over it. I even bought the extended warranty. How disappointed we are. No help was offered, nothing, zero. Buyers beware! I will post pictures soon for you all to see my taped refrigerator liner! We were going to purchase the oven in this Frigidaire product line. But not now. Consumer rights arent protected anymore and it is disturbing!!

Clayton NC. This Frigidaire Electric Range Model FFEF3054TS Serial # VF84808468 was purchased new in December 2018. On October 30, 2019 at 9:30 pm, the range glass door exploded. It sounded like all the kitchen cabinets had fallen off the wall. The range door outer glass exploded nearly 12 feet and was all over everything. The oven was not in use and have not been used frequently.Called Frigidaire the next morning. Technician came the next week. He said this was unusual and would recommend replacement of same glass! I advised this range door glass is a hazard and too dangerous to put back and risk another explosion. If someone had been in front of the door or near it when it exploded, it would have caused serious injuries. Told him to put same glass back was not acceptable. I call Frigidaire customer service and management said they would only replace same glass and give 3 months extended warranty. I would never buy or trust another Frigidaire product. I purchased a gas Frigidaire oven from Lowes and the electrical panel stopped working after 13 months. Frigidaire gave us a replacement panel but we had to pay $200 for the labor. Prior to the problems with my Frigidaire stove, I also purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher and refrigerator from Lowes internet site. Needless to say, one month after the panel was replaced on my dishwasher, it is out again. So I am out the cost of the dishwasher and the repair. Model # - FRsss2323AS0 or O Serial # -4A14107574. Order number for missing parts: ** waiting on shipment since Feb 25, 2022. Where is the tracking number. My mother has been waiting on missing parts for her new fridge since January 2022. I have called a few times just to simply get the tracking number for the order shipped out I was told on February 25, 2022. They have all the details on file from the specs as to which parts are missing (deli tray 3,4,5 which is specs 48,49) and (Crisper tray 49) as well as a fridge logo. This was covered by Mykia, she told me that the order was held but never go back to me as to why it was held. I spoke with Ann who told in early Feb. She told me by Feb 25 2022 the missing parts will be shipped. I spoke to Sirena told March 14 she hung up on me and but told me she would place me on hold to go retrieve the tracking number, enter hang up a dial tone. Someone either did not do the reorder for the missing parts or the shipped is still not out yet. Either way when a customer calls if the CS rep does not know the answer as to why the order hasnt been shipped or cant even provide the tracker number for the missing parts, this only means people are slipping on the cs service skills. From January until March 14 2022 my mother is still waiting on missing parts. WHY? Can I get a order tracking number without cs reps hanging up or just the honesty of what is really going on here. Tomorrow I will call back and just request to speak with a supervisor or manager because these are simple questions that only require simple answers. WHERE IS THE TRACKING NUMBER FOR THE MISSING PARTS???

We remodeled a year ago & I deeply regret not reading these reviews prior to buying the complete set of Frigidaire Gallery appliances. Refrigerator - French door - side by side: Ice maker has not worked properly since we have had the Refrigerator. Completely stopped making ice - technician has been out twice - extended delay time in getting parts. Noisiest Refrigerator we have ever had. Now the replacement water filter ($45) will not click into place & neither will the old one. Dishwasher: Again very noisy. Stays stuck in cycle - technician out twice. Doesnt clean as well as previous dishwashers. Serious quality issues. I will not buy Frigidaire products again.

In May of this year I purchased one of this refrigerators for use in my own home. It arrived with a cracked fruit/vegetable drawer, and I called to have a new one shipped over. I had to do this twice before I received a drawer that was not cracked before arriving at my home. Recently, one of the 1/2 gallon door bins developed another large crack. This time, calling their customer service I was told that such an issue was outside their warranty terms (since it was not akin to a failed motor, leaking coolant system, etc.). Things like bins, trays, & handles are only covered by a 30-day policy. I was informed that I could order a new bin from them for $42 (plus shipping, I assume).Overall, I have mixed feelings regarding my experience with this refrigerator & with Frigidaire. The fridge keeps a stable temperature and so does its basic job, but many of the components (drawers, bins) appear to be of poor construction quality as they are made of plastic that is too thin and are therefore brittle. Their warranty policy seems to be specifically designed with this in mind, so as to minimize the companys responsibility for their own penny-pinching.

We purchased a complete suite of Gallery kitchen appliances approximately 2 years ago. Some observations: they look nice but the dishwasher leaked and damaged the kitchen floor. Negotiating repairs was a hassle. Since repaired, no new problem(s). Does a reasonable job but Bosch washers are clearly superior. PS: I ate the floor damage repairs rather than do the dance with Frigidaire. They are not easy to work with. The refrigerator froze items in the bins. There was a part missing (possibly an upgrade that was not with the unit) that diverted frozen/refrigerated air into the bin area. I installed it - it is better now. The unit moans, groans, squeaks, sighs, moans as though its possessed. We were told its normal. Normal? Maybe. Annoying for sure. The ice dispenser shoots ice all over the place. The exterior stainless surfaces are thin. They are generally non-smudge but the door handles are not. The range (glass top) controls suck. The porcelain finish chips very easily. The oven is fine, the convection feature is very nice. The microwave oven is OK. The controls and timer - reminder beeps are annoying. Would I buy them again? No. Id happily pay more for a superior product.

I purchased a French door refrigerator 8 months ago. The bottom door shelf broke off after 5 months. I ordered a new one. It took 6 weeks to get it. It arrived in a book with most of the chef in wrapped in a plastic bags. The end had broken off and was laying on top of the bag. Yes, the obviously dropped and broke the shelf in packaging and shipped the broken shelf anyway. I called to return the shelf. Their policy is that the customer has to buy a 2nd shelf, and they will credit your account for the first. Well, that was 6 weeks ago. I have not received credit for the broken shelf and the new shelf has not been shipped. I’ve made 2 attempts to find out when the shelf will be shipped, and no one seems to know. They were however able to take my money twice. I will be buying the rest of my appliances from a more reputable company.

I purchased the stove on 4/19/2010 from Lowes. When baking a pizza, the inside glass door shattered into pieces. Frigidaire is only willing to pay for the part - not labor. I paid $1,700 for defective merchandise. I will never purchase another Frigidaire appliance. What a rip off. Shame on them for not standing behind the product.

Frigidaire apparently is one the few manufacturers that wants to deal directly with purchasers of their products. You wouldnt think so today after their service representative wouldnt let me speak to his manager and hung up on me. I bought a refrigerator one month ago from a store in Vaughan. It arrived defective from Frigidaire. They scratched my hardwood, my brand new white rug had black marks on and my walls were damaged. Fixable, but annoying nonetheless. The same day the fridge was delivered, I sent a video to the delivery department, who sent it to Frigidaire, showing the problems/defects. Someone was supposed to get back to us within a few days. A few weeks later, there was still no call from anyone, no follow up. After a total of six calls, waiting 20+ minutes each time for someone to pick up, getting constantly passed off and their CSRs passing the buck back onto us to follow up with them once again if we dont hear back, we finally got a technician out to look at the refrigerator, almost one month later. Repair guy stayed for less than 5 minutes and told us the unit was non-repairable. I called Frigidaire again, waited for another 20+ minutes, and spoke to Rodney, who put me on a long hold. He kept switching off his mic while I was trying to explain what happened. He clearly wasnt interested in helping at all so I asked to speak to a manager instead. He said no. A few times he refused. I asked why and he said because. Then he pretended he couldnt hear me asking and hung up on me. This experience really left a terrible taste in my mouth. People, if you need to buy appliances, rethink choosing Frigidaire. Do your research and try to choose a manufacturer that wont treat you like total garbage after you spend thousands on their product.

The stove and oven are functional. It is a new unit, but it also feels so tiny regarding quality of materials. I question the longevity of its function. Our family had a stove that lasted 30 years. I dont think that this unit will endure that long. Planned obsolescence.

Updated on 05/27/2020: This is an update to a post of an original review July 18, 2019 on the Frigidaire FFAD5033R1 dehumidifier. I did receive a replacement unit from Electrolux later in the summer of 2019. I was surprised as it just showed up in a box at my door. I used the dehumidifier the rest of summer 2019 with no issues. It is now almost June of 2020 and Ive powered it up for the summer. I am very disappointed to say that its already displaying the FO error code. Not even a full summer of use to this point. Ive sent the required information to Electrolux, again. I dont understand why they dont fix whatever the issue is with these dehumidifiers, or totally scrap the design and start over.Original Review: I purchased dehumidifier in 2017, used for that summer and 2018. Turned on in 2019 and found that refrigerant had leaked out, due to rust all over evaporator coil. This explained a reddish color in water when I dumped the tank. I didnt see the rust until I removed the back cover to inspect. I contacted Customer Service. They send a form and instructions to complete for unit replacement. I complied, but its been 50 days and response. This unit was obviously rusting from the day I purchased. Ive seen other complaints with pictures showing the exact same issue that I had. The design is faulty and Frigidaire no doubt knows this, but assumes it will be out of warranty by the time it totally fails. This was the last Frigidaire product I will ever own. Buyer beware! If you do take a chance, you should probably remove whatever covers you can and inspect as soon as you get it home.

I bought a new dishwasher prior to renting my home. During their year lease, the dishwasher stopped working and they neglected to have it repaired when it was under warranty. Five months later when they moved out and the warranty had expired, I expected to have to buy a new dishwasher or spend a few under dollars to repair it. Frigidaire customer service was amazing. They had notes from when the attempts were made to repair the dishwasher and that the renters did not follow through with scheduling an appointment. Their customer service staff was friendly, helpful, and are repairing my dishwasher no charge. :)

We spent $2000.00 on a new refrigerator, The Gallery. The ice maker on the outside AND the inside freezer doesnt work. The freezer door handle fell off after two months. Customer Service NEVER followed thru on their service calls, then told me we were considered too rural so they would not come to fix it. They gave me an out of service phone number for someone who would supposedly come fix it. We tried to just fix the ice maker ourselves, to no avail. I finally called them again, only to be put on hold for over 30 minutes. I got thru to someone who PROMISED a phone call back in three business days. That was last week. Still no response. NEVER will I buy from Frigidaire again! They should be ashamed of how they treat people!
