5 times had service out to fix ice maker. Contacted them and told them now the plastic cube maker froze and fell into tray. They told me to have a certified tech out, which it was first 5 times. Now the light is burning a hole in plastic in fridge. Doors always closed , no thawling. How do you rectify a crap product?

I purchased new oven/microwave unit in 2008 that developed a problem last August turning on based on a door latch that malfunctions. I spent $234 to fix with Frigidaire authorized service company, who told me it was a simple problem but expensive because you had to remove the entire wall unit to access. 4 months later I am having the same problem. Repair warranty was only 90 days. Fix will cost the same again. So I called Frigidaire’s customer service twice but they cannot help. I wrote office of their president who returned call very quickly but cannot offer any help. The only solution that was offered was that I should have purchased the extended warranty in the beginning. I am left with only two options. Spend $234 again to fix problem which only lasted 4 months the first time, or purchase a new unit. Original unit cost just under $1600. It seems there is a defect on this unit, but I am the one who is left out in the cold.

I bought my washer and dryer 2 years ago. I have always been a fan of Frigidaire. As matter of fact I have a stove and fridge that are Frigidaire are working fine. However our dryer heating element burned and not working no more. Called Frigidaire. They could not help us. Asks us to call a technician. Now the service to repair will be costing us close to 400$. Its a total joke. Now we bought these 2 years ago close to 2500$ and now I have to put 400$ for repair. I have a newborn of 3 weeks and we have lots of laundry to do and stuck debating about what to do. Its sad but Frigidaire lost a loyal client. I was a big believer but no longer. Never ever that I am purchasing Frigidaire anymore and my friends and family will hear from this. Poor customer service and products.

I bought a Frigidaire FGMV174KF microwave in August 2012. In April 2013, it stopped working. For two months, I have been trying to get it repaired. Parts are not available. Authorized repairmen are not available. Yesterday, I received a letter from Frigidaire that the warranty expired on May 15, 2013 (8 months after I bought it?), but I can spend $29 to extend the warranty.

Repair company refused to give me a copy of repair - things stated to me I found were not on the report cust svc states, told freezer cap was not installed at time of delivery 12mos prior, I kept a box fan going in shed where freezer is stored, lost nearly 400.00 worth of food and leakage cleanup on floor, the warranty (customer relations) spoke to both said they would not replace food, not extend warranty or replace freezer because it was in a shed. I fail to see that on any ad or paperwork at the time of purchase - nor did the repairman say anything about locale, he did state when asked that he would put it in the report that pad was not covered at installation - he did not! I feel duped if this freezer lasts less time than the over 700.00 I paid for it.

I just ran across this website and had to give my review of Frigidaire appliances that I bought as a full set for a kitchen overhaul. The oven door was the first hint of quality issues. I discovered a spot of rust around the oven window but underneath the coating. It was visible but still felt smooth. I called Frigidaire support and they said it was out of warranty and I must be allowing moisture to get inside the door. I advised them that while I was aware that moisture causes oxidation I was having trouble with the concept of maintaining sufficient moisture upon a vertical surface on the door of an appliance that creates heat being the cause of the oxidation. They finally offer to replace the door skin but only if I used the approved appliance vendor that charges $90 per hour. The skin was only a little over $100 so I decided to save my money towards the purchase of higher quality appliances. My next issue was the microwave which caught on fire at slightly less than three years of age. Based on my previous experience I did not bother to call customer service and was just thankful that once the wiring burned up the fire extinguished itself. (BTW I did not replace the microwave with a Frigidaire, duh!) The final comment is that I just lost a burner on the stove top. The Frigidaire appliances are about 5 years old now. I cant help but reflect on the 30 year old electric GE range on which I never replaced anything.

We purchased our stove on 7/29/21 and it was delivered and installed by 8/12/21. Used twice and the control panel shut off when I was using the air fryer! So far two service calls have been made and the stove is still not fixed. First service call was on 9/13. Technician didnt have parts and they needed to be ordered. Second time he came on 10/4, replaced the parts and it still didnt work. He suggested we talk to the electrician that did the wiring. Our electrician came out today and everything was good with the electric to the stove. SOOOO, I had to call Frigidaire again to schedule another service call. Its absolutely impossible to get through to customer service and when I did, I asked to speak with a manager and she hung up on me! So I called back and waited on hold again only to be told that the stove will not be replaced until deemed unrepairable! Again, I asked to speak with management and told, I would get a call back in 1-2 days. My next appointment to have the technician come to the house is 10/14!!! Its 10/5/21 and I still have no resolution for my $1800 oven! We basically got a lemon and Frigidaire isnt willing to step up and honor their commitment to good service.

Beware Frigidaire Gallery 22.6 Cu. Ft. French door counter-depth - I purchased this fridge on March 15, 2012. It took delivery a week or two later. It is a beautiful fridge, which does not leave fingerprints on the front except on the handles. The counter depth is nice. However, the fridge stopped cooling properly on September 5th, not quite to the 6 months’ mark. The thermostat and possibly the compressor both failed. Fortunately, still under warranty. Unfortunately, Frigidaire does not contract with the larger, easier to get appointments and faster repair companies. I live in a large metro area and had 4 choices. Two of which are several counties away from me. So now 12 days after the repairman was finally able to come to diagnose, they are waiting on parts and I am now 16 days into no fridge and taking my family out for all meals. First visit, they diagnosed the fan unit and the thermostat. It took 7 days to get parts. When they installed those, they found that the door sensor is faulty. Now waiting on more parts. I also bought the matching dishwasher, hopefully not the same issues. I would recommend you purchase an extended warranty, which I will, but through a third party sufficiently able to provide proper service in your area. Im most annoyed that my Kenmore/Whirlpool fridge that this replaced never once had an issue in the 11 years I used it. It was just no longer a good fit in the remodeled kitchen. My favorite part of this entire thing - On Frigidaires website, they allow you to rate their products and post them. They send you an email asking you to click a link to confirm your review, only the link doesnt work! Funny. I wonder if I rated it 5 stars if the link would magically work.

The Frigidaire Refrigerator we purchased started developing extreme frost in the freezer from the day we purchased it. The Frigidaire Warranty Program sent 6 different repair guys out to change the freezer seal, heat up the freezer seal and reapply it, adjust the freezer door, adjust the hinges, replace the fan motor, still extreme frost from some type of air leak in the unit. They will not replace it. Theyve spent way more in parts and service than a new refrigerator would cost. The Corporate Manager who was supposed to call me back to advise on the refund of the warranty has not called back. If you get a refrigerator get the Lowes PROTECTION PLAN. LOWES has resolved this problem when Frigidaire would not. This company does not take care of its customers.

We bought this refrigerator and the noise of the unit is very loud. The unit works perfectly but because of its design the unit produces more noise from its compressor than any refrigerator Ive ever heard. If I knew this I would have opted for a different refrigerator. The so-called stainless steel is not stainless steel and if at any time the protective finish is compromised on inside or outside it will rust. Its not right that you can say stainless steel and the metal is not stainless steel. To prove this point you should not be able to have strong magnetic properties with stainless steel because of the lack of iron in the material and yet the so-called stainless steel does work as well as plain steel which will rust. I hope this helps other unsuspecting consumers when they meet with fraudulent marketing tactics that we all must deal with more than ever today.

Purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Lowes in April 2016. Since then we have had the repairman out five times. First three times fridge made loud clicking noises, still does, was told it was normal even though we know better. Now for two times in a week, freezer went out. We are out $250 in food and no one cares. All he did was put a Styrofoam piece in fridge to regulate air, worked for less than a week. Got home from food shopping freezer is thawed out again. Cannot come out till Monday. We are told Frigidaire knows this model is a lemon but they continue to sell them as we are told because they have a warehouse full of them. Why would Lowes continue to sell these models knowing they are bad? Whatever happened to standing behind your product? I guess making money selling bad products is Frigidaires way of doing business these days... Buyer be warned.

There is nothing wrong with Frigidaire products. They make them to last. It is the consumers responsibility to take care of the product. I have all Frigidaire appliances and I havent had any issues. You have to change the water filter out in those fridges every 6 months. I have purchased extended warranties on all of my appliances just in case. These products are machine and man made. Nothing is guaranteed. When you purchase appliances we take risk. So instead of not buying the warranty, go ahead and purchase the warranty. It is only a couple of hundred dollars more and it will protect it. You wouldnt drive a car without insurance.

Both refrigerator and gas range were delivered April 2018. Refrigerator: By the end of June 2018 I had a warning that the water/refrigerator filters had to be replaced. I was told the filters were good for 6 months!!! Therefore I called Frigidaire dealers in my area to place an order the end of June/1st week July 2018... All of the dealers were out of the filters. Therefore I called Frigidaire. I was told the filters would not be available until October 15th 2018. NOW I HAVE PAID EXTRA MONEY FOR FEATURES ON THIS EXPENSIVE REFRIGERATOR THAT I CANNOT USE. To make a long story short I called Frigidaire for the rest of the year of 2018... In December before Christmas I was told the product would be in and I could pay for the order upfront. I did not received the filters until February 2019. Then, the frame that holds the drawer and shelve intact split. I had to order that in December 2018 as well. Although the refrigerator is not a year old the company would not cover it. I complain about having problems with the frame after delivery... Someone came out but the problem was not resolved. Called Frigidaires customer support. I was told to spray Pam on the drawer in order for it to slide easy!!! Yesterday when I went into my refrigerator I found out theres another break in the plastic frame....in the exact same place the first break was. Here I go again calling Frigidaire again about this lousy product!!!Gas range: I was using my range cooking for the Thanksgiving holidays...and my Carbon Monoxide Alarm went off. I had to get my son, granddaughter and myself out of the house. If I did not have the carbon monoxide alarm it would had been tragic. I called the gas company in my area and they verified it was carbon monoxide... I called Frigidaire and they set up an appointment for someone to come out. Frigidaire gave me the information of the service person and phone number... I took it upon myself to call them a few hours after I spoke with Frigidaire. The service person told me they were no longer doing service calls??? I had to call Frigidaire back to let them know in order for them to reschedule someone else to come out. Within a week a service person came out with new parts for the gas range.

Buyers beware! We are thankful we are able to return our refrigerator. So Very grateful to Best Buy! The positives are that It appears to do what it’s suppose to do, we Love the water and ice, and it looks great BUT we purchased this fridge under a month ago and I have never heard a fridge be so loud in my life! It sounds like it’s making popcorn! Then it knocks, it pings and squeals. It’s actually loud enough that it wakes me up more than a couple times during the night. We asked that a repairman come and take a look to see what they could do and they said this is normal for this brand! I’ve never had a refrigerator make noises like this before!

I have never been so disappointed and angry over a purchase. I recently built my dream home and was very excited. All my appliances are Frigidaire and had always thought it was a solid product. My one yr warranty had come to an end this past May. For several weeks now my dishwasher had not been getting the dishes clean but it would work well enough when run on heavy mode. I do not use it that often so it was more of a bother than anything until I noticed several pieces of wood flooring popping up and realized I had a leak of sorts. The builder came to take a look and we saw that water was pouring out from under the dishwasher. There was mold growing. As luck would have it my ice maker in my Frigidaire freezer stopped working as well. I called Frigidaire and was told I would have to pay for the repairs myself as it 6 months out of warranty. I have such concerns as all my other appliances are made by Frigidaire as well. So now not only are my relatively new appliances not working but I have damage to my new home. All of which I have to pay for because this company did not make a quality product. It is just myself and my daughter who is 7 that live in my home so how much wear and tear can 2 people do in a little over a year. My builder who is one of the largest in this area in NC was disgusted as well by the response from Frigidaire and told me its not the first time he has heard this and will no longer be recommending using them in the homes he builds as he wants to keep his reputation of quality homes. I can only tell people I know to NOT buy products by this company and if you do dont expect them to do the right thing. I had a Kenmore for over 15 years without any problems and I will be replacing my Frigidaire. I understand that things break but when something is so new and has very little wear and tear it is robbery. Now I am left with the repair cost of both as well as the cost of the damage to my new home.

Ive never written or voiced a complaint about a product before... but this is the worst company and product that I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing and I feel compelled to warn anyone about to spend thousands of dollars on junk. We upgraded our kitchen with perfectly good functioning appliances and replaced with Frigidaire professional series stainless appliances thinking that the look and functionality would be be an upgrade. We are sad to say that we have had a revolving door with repair-people on ALL appliances... especially poor are the dishwasher and microwave with multi-failures. We purchased our first extended warranty only due to the fact that we know that we are going to need it to manage their poor performing products. (FPHD2491KFO, KPBM189KFC, PHB2899LFB).We thought at first we had a bad luck but in two years the repairman that has repeatedly been to our house replacing two magnetrons in the microwave, pumps in the dishwasher, motherboard in dishwasher, motherboard in stove, not sure what was done to our warm, non-freezing freezer. The repairman said that we unfortunately bought junk and the 8 or so repair visits taught us how to manage our appliances. Examples of how I can better manage my new professional appliances: Dont boil a lot of water on stove. That will eat at the electronics of the motherboard of stove and over the counter microwave both of which have been replaced. Dont use rack in microwave as they are known to fry magnetrons... No advice given after second blown magnetron and no rack in microwave. Dont use liquid dish soap in dishwasher (wont clean dishes). Clean your dishes before putting in dishwasher (to avoid plugging of pump). Only use 1 tablespoon of dry soap in dishwasher... That is all that is needed to clean dishes. Avoid using heat dry in dishwasher to avoid motherboard from frying.Need I say more? These are perfect appliances for you if like to spend thousands of dollars in appliances only to have multi-repair visits, a $700 microwave currently busted, missed work for multi-days to fix new appliances, spend hundreds on warranties to manage faulty products, And have fun dealing with customer service and the warranty division too. Every time you call, it is like you have never called for a warranty claim ever. Youll have to ask them to dig deep to find your appliance issues and they always seem surprised.

It appears (according to service repair man) Frigidaire ss side by side PHSC239DSBO has a wiring harness issue. It falls into the drip pan shorting it out which could cost $300 for a circuit board if that would correct the problem. He states Frigidaire knows of the problem but refused to do a recall. My neighbor and husband rewired the harness and strapped it up so that it will not fall into the drip pan again. Presto, I have power to freezer side. I called Frigidaire for help and they referred me to the service man who in turn stated the repair was out of his league. So, I called back Frigidaire to get someone else. I have yet to hear from them again. In the meantime, we fixed it ourselves. If Frigidaire had only strapped the wiring harness up to begin with, I would not have a problem. It is possible that the harness could have blown my compressor. Luckily, this was not the case. Just a piece of plastic did the job.

The 24-inch gas wall ovens are not displayed in stores. So, I made my purchase online from Airport Home Appliances. The difference in the appearance of the oven online and in person was as different as night and day. The oven sits too far off the cabinet. Which did not show online. There’s no frame around the oven, so it looks unfinished. The interior of the oven sides, door and gauges were not even. The bottom drawer was uneven, flimsy, and the parts inside were bent and didnt close completely. Airport Home Appliance agreed regarding the defective/damaged oven and ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, the 2nd oven had the same issues. They did remove the oven from my home. I paid $1699.00 for this oven, not including taxes and installation. Airport Appliances have told me it was manufactured that way and can’t promise me a refund. The oven was removed from my home. So now I have no oven and missing $2000.00.

We bought our Frigidaire dishwasher in August 2019. Immediately, the 3rd rack, top rack was difficult to close, constantly getting hung up on the upper spin arm. Well, the spin arm fell off, we needed to order a new one, and remove the upper rack permanently. This past spring, the connection hose leaked, my husband replaced that as well. 5 days after the warranty expired (1 year warranty) the middle spray arm fell off. There is absolutely no way to reattach it. I tried contacting Frigidaire, but calling them just runs you in circles, back through the same recorded loop. Chat on line does not work at all. I emailed on September 5th, and response back was they were getting higher than normal volume of emails, theyll get back to me when they can! No response in 3 weeks from the email. I went on their Facebook page to comment on the lack of customer service and that their dishwasher is a waste of money. I noticed a message box open and have been conversing with someone at the company. On 9/17 they messaged me that they would have a repair person come out and the company would cover labor and parts, offered this as a one time only, since it was out of warranty for 5 days when it broke again. I have not heard back from them, gave them dates that were convenient for us, which Frigidaire requested. Today is September 25th, and I am not getting any response when I message Frigidaire. So we wasted quite a bit of money, will never buy or recommend Frigidaire to anyone. I now need to replace this crap piece of equipment.

This is the worst purchase I have ever made in my life! Purchased a complete Frigidaire kitchen package (Fridge Model FGSS2635TD, oven, microwave, dishwasher) from Brandsmart USA in Miami, Florida to install in my brand new remodeled kitchen. It took over 2 months to arrive due to Covid. Brought the new black stainless steel appliances/smudge proof and what a mistake. The paint chips off all the appliances. Had to have the refrigerator door handles replaced because of chipping, other parts chipping as well. Had to purchase paint to apply every time it comes off and you see the silver stainless steel underneath. After only using the microwave for a couple of weeks it stopped working. Contacted Frigidaire to have a technician repair. It has been 2 months the technician has been out to the house 3 times and cant repair. Every time he comes there is a new issue and additional parts are needed, which take forever to arrive since everything is on backorder. This last time the tech advised I would need an entire front door to the microwave, the entire inside has practically been replaced and still doesnt work. Frigidaire customer service is horrible!! I have had to contact them over 10 times to no avail. One agent had the audacity to tell me they cant provide me with a new microwave and that they are losing money on me since they have to send the repair tech!! Like I said it would have been cheaper to send a new microwave!! If they would have manufactured a quality product this would not have happened. Unfortunately, I have to continue to wait since Im still paying for these appliances that cost over $4000.00. Praying that nothing else happens to the other appliances!! If I could give less than one star I would. Never again.!! Do NOT buy!! Grave disappointment from this company! Totally dissatisfied!

Purchased $1700+ refrigerator in March 2016. July 2016: ice maker stopped working; repaired via Frigidaire warranty; worked approximately 2 days then broke again. This has been the pattern; a noise will start, the ice maker stops working, repair person comes out in a week, fixes, works for a little while then breaks again. So far the ice maker and seals have been replaced 6 times. The thermostat has been replaced once. The seals had to be replaced again as frost was forming in my refrigerator near the ice maker. A seal in the actual ice dispenser in door had to be replaced. It has been on and on. Lowes will do nothing. Frigidaire says as long as it can be repaired, they will repair it. So I buy a new refrigerator and I dont get what I paid for. I get, instead a refrigerator that breaks on average every 1.5 months. Phone call after phone call. Lowes response is that while its under Frigidaire warranty, they (Lowes) will do nothing.

Purchased 4 Frigidaire Gallery products when moving into my new home. After having it for 2 months and cooking on Thanksgiving I noticed the control panel on the back was starting to warp. I contacted Lowes and a representative said it should not be doing that and to contact Frigidaire. I contacted them and they stated that if it was from cooking it is not their problem. I told them I only had it 2 months and they should make a product that would not warp when cooking. They said they had other complaints about this but they could do nothing if it was from cooking. Believe that? I paid a lot of money for this stove and never had this problem with other stoves. They said if they come out and determine that it was from cooking they were going to charge me. I still cant believe what I heard. A reputable company would be more understanding and back up their products. Beware.

Our side by side fridge and freezer is a Frigidaire Gallery and we were surprised at how little the fruit and veggie crispers are. We have had many Frigidaire products over the years. Not sure what happened to them, but they are certainly not what they used to be. Our latest... a new Frigidaire dishwasher, the master control board failed at 2 years and one month, just past warranty. And their service? Was a huge fail! They did not care. It was clearly a manufacturing quality control problem for that to fail. But the response from Frigidaire was they did not care. And, they had no interest in taking the machine or board back to see what went wrong with it (despite our offer). It was like they knew there was a problem... but they just did not care. So, we replaced it with an American made Whirlpool, and will do the same with the fridge and freezer. And we will never go back to Frigidaire again. For others, I recommend you research your purchases carefully.

Refrigerator model LGHK2336TF0 stopped working almost 1 month ago, with only 10 months of use. They are almost impossible to get service from them, they also insist that the warranty was expired, when is NOT. I had to fax them a copy of my receipt. Horrible experience, I ask for an RA# to change the fridge for another one and Valerie the manager immediately said, NO! You have to keep the same one. The dishwasher is on its second repair and I have waited for 2 weeks to get it repaired AGAIN. The refrigerator freezes the food and even when we turn it down it still did it. The ice maker sucks! The ice gets stuck and then we have to clean it out and ice goes everywhere. This happens every couple days. So frustrating!! Neither Lowes or Frigidaire will take them back. DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE!!! Very cheaply built and now Im stuck with these appliances that I dont want. I should have gone with Costco from the very beginning. Their customer service is always excellent. Updated on 05/27/2020: This is an update to a post of an original review July 18, 2019 on the Frigidaire FFAD5033R1 dehumidifier. I did receive a replacement unit from Electrolux later in the summer of 2019. I was surprised as it just showed up in a box at my door. I used the dehumidifier the rest of summer 2019 with no issues. It is now almost June of 2020 and Ive powered it up for the summer. I am very disappointed to say that its already displaying the FO error code. Not even a full summer of use to this point. Ive sent the required information to Electrolux, again. I dont understand why they dont fix whatever the issue is with these dehumidifiers, or totally scrap the design and start over.Original Review: I purchased dehumidifier in 2017, used for that summer and 2018. Turned on in 2019 and found that refrigerant had leaked out, due to rust all over evaporator coil. This explained a reddish color in water when I dumped the tank. I didnt see the rust until I removed the back cover to inspect. I contacted Customer Service. They send a form and instructions to complete for unit replacement. I complied, but its been 50 days and response. This unit was obviously rusting from the day I purchased. Ive seen other complaints with pictures showing the exact same issue that I had. The design is faulty and Frigidaire no doubt knows this, but assumes it will be out of warranty by the time it totally fails. This was the last Frigidaire product I will ever own. Buyer beware! If you do take a chance, you should probably remove whatever covers you can and inspect as soon as you get it home.

I purchased this refrigerator new about a year and a half ago. Within the first month, the entire refrigerator had to be replaced. Since then, both the upper and lower ice makers have been replaced and worked on multiple times. The refrigerator is now out of warranty. Since the warranty ran out, the ice maker has had to be worked on twice. I have now had to purchase an extended warranty to pay for parts and labor that should be covered under warranty since the problems began right after the purchase. I should NOT have had all these problems within this short time frame since purchase. I have called Frigidaire about 8 times in 4 days, and I still have not had a repairman to my house to fix the problem. To me, this is unacceptable. I am very disappointed, and I will never purchase a Frigidaire product again. Dealing with customer service has been a waste of everyones time!

I just want to let you know about Frigidaire products! I purchased an entire kitchen suite one year ago, the Frigidaire Professional Series. Within four months, the refrigerator broke. When the repairman came, he said he couldnt fix it, and I was issued a new refrigerator. However, since they had to get it from the original place I purchased them, I had to wait about a week for the replacement. Oh, and no, they did not replace any of my food, which I lost. They told me that is not covered! Less than a year after the purchase, the dishwasher began to leak all over my pergo floor, so I had the repairman come, which luckily, it was still under warranty. Less than one month later, on Christmas eve, when I had all of my Christmas eve dinner plates in the dishwasher ready to wash, once again, the floor flooded, leaving me with a bunch of dirty dishes, and a flooded floor. Nice, right? Its just what everyone wants to do for the holidays! I called the repairman, but I also contacted Frigidaire to see if they were going to stand behind their products, and they told me they couldnt pay for the labor, because the warranty was over by about three weeks! Really, are you kidding me? They finally agreed, after I threw a fit, that they would cover the repair of the dishwasher. I had, for 11 years previous to this, Sears Kenmore products, and never had the repairman at my house for them! I am so surprised that Electrolux would even be connected with such terrible products! I wouldnt purchase a toaster if it had Frigidaire on it! I have sent an email to their corporate office, and hopefully one of them will have the decency to call me, regarding their products.

Purchased a new house in 2008 and decided to upgrade to some nice new stainless appliances. The company recommended Frigidaire. Poor decision. The stove threw sparks when the oven door was closed due to poor wiring under the glass top. The microwave was so loud, it had to be replaced immediately. Now when a cabinet door is closed, the microwave turns on by itself and you have to open the microwave door and close it to turn it off. The dishwasher is hard to close, its noisy, and the gaskets started falling off within a year. The refrigerator door shelves broke several times under normal use and the company refused to acknowledge issues with poor design, then denied sending us replacements. Now the temperature control actuator that opens and closes to let cold air in started clicking, then broke, and wont hold a temperature under 40.This is without a doubt the poorest quality appliance company EVER. I have a 15 year old GE Hotpoint refrigerator in the garage we use for extra food, milk and beverage storage, and have never had an issue with it. If I had the money to replace it all tomorrow, I would take every bit of this garbage, and deliver it right back to the front door of the company with a few choice words painted all over it.

We have had to repair the refrigerator twice (the ice maker and the water filter) and now the microwave has stopped working. The repairman stated that 4 parts are needed and it will be roughly $300 to repair - that is roughly half of what we paid for the unit. I called Frigidaire and expressed my frustration - I should expect the appliances to last more than 3 years! I was told without the extended warranty, there is nothing they can do. I told them my previous appliances lasted 20 years without repairs and they should have more pride in what they produce. These are not durable or quality products! We bought a new home in 09/13, we upgraded our appliance package to the tune of 1800.00 dollars above the amount allotted by the builder. We had nothing but problems with the appliances. Dishwasher, stove, and now the fridge. Yes I understand they are just over 5yrs old. But when we bought the appliances we made sure of the warranties on the units. typical warranty 1yr complete, 5yr compressor. Weve had to have the fridge serviced a couple times over the years, and Frigidaire {Electrolux} has been aware that there was a problem with the compressor. So fast forward a couple months, now the unit is completely off warranty. Low and behold they will not warranty the compressor. Sorry of which they have changed their warranties to now only be 1 yr for the complete fridges, no compressor warranties beyond the year. But they would gladly sell me a NEW compressor to the cost of 495.00 canadian, shipped. But I must have a Frigidaire approved installer put it in at the cost of 695.00, bringing the total repair to 1100.00 Well we decided to just scrap the fridge since the repair is so costly, and no guarantee it would last. So why not just buy a new Fridge from another manufacturer. Oh ya did I mention Samsung, Dayco and numerous other manufacturers have increased the warranty periods on their refrigerators. The last time I ever buy a Frigidaire or Electrolux product ever. Also I will make sure as many people know as possible that they do not stand behind their product.

Im writing on behalf of my daughter who is due to give birth any day now and who has waited since January for Frigidaire to make right a product that does not work. In the last four weeks, Ive spent nearly 8 hours on hold BEFORE I could actually talk to someone, and though it has been 8 months, the replacement dishwasher which Frigidaire was supposed to deliver has not been delivered. On two occasions, delivery men have brought out a new dishwasher but then, mysteriously, the new machine was deemed broken in delivery and impossible to install. Ive been instructed to send copies of documents to prove our purchase even though they have record of the fact that she owns it. I am waiting for Frigidaire to deliver a serial tag to me - Im supposed to attach it to a rebate email. I have never received the tag.My belief is that Frigidaire is attempting to get out of replacing the product which has never worked by delaying until it is no longer in warranty. They are a dishonest company, run by incompetents or worse, they are criminals and are happy to take money and try to grind consumers down by making their service impossible to get all the while recorded messages assure those of us on hold that Frigidaire is concerned and cares about its customers. Everything is well so far then I start receiving calls from the company that fixed the range, they didnt get paid. They said that they didnt charge enough in the beginning of the contract, and the contractor will keep calling me at work and on my cell until I paid them. All my attempts to explain to them that we paid what they want us to pay and that I still have the invoice, to no avail. The contractor was calling sometimes six to seven times a day at work mostly until we paid them the $25. These people acted like the mob, you pay us or else, even we have a contract that paid fully. Simply put, the technicians the company hires to do the repairs only work 8-5, Monday thru Friday. Not convenient for people that work full time. There are plenty of technicians in the area that work after hours and weekends. Frigidaire as a company chooses not to pay the technicians that will work convenient hours. The customer service representatives and managers treat you like youre an idiot and just repeat themselves. We purchased a new house and we were thrilled to have all new Frigidaire Professional Appliances installed. We immediately had problems with our refrigerator. The seals in both doors are still not working properly after having been replaced. It has randomly stopped working for no apparent reason. We have had a door replaced on it (as it was dented upon arrival). I have asked for a replacement as it is not reliable but because it is still under warranty they will not replace the unit, just continue to try and fix it. Our dishwasher has also needed replacement parts (we have been in this house around 6 months now) as it was not heating properly. The latch on our microwave was not working so when the service company went to replace it, they broke off some plastic parts and currently it does not work at all. Three appliances all with problems within the first 6 months. I have been a homeowner for years and never had such challenges or problems in the past.

They also said that I should have verified the serial number on the new offer that came from their company and it is my mistake. A corporation like Frigidaire should be more organized and can fix this type of issues and not pointing to consumer. I spent more than 6 hours on the phone trying to work with multiple customer service Managers with no solution. It seems that they just want to steal your Money and not do any service.

When the original light bulb in the refrigerated section of my Frigidaire side-by-side burnt out, I really didnt think it was so unusual. Ill just purchase a new bulb and replace it. This should be simple. Well, not so simple. Upon attempting to remove the bulb, it would not turn. I was afraid to apply excessive force since I didnt want to break it off in the socket. I couldnt understand why I was having so much difficulty removing a light bulb. So I poked my head in the refrigerator to get a closer look. I was amazed and concerned at what I saw. The bulb had burned the plastic lining above it. The bulb was stuck to the top of the liner. After several more attempts to remove the bulb, I finally succeeded. There is a considerable amount of damage to the liner, including a small hole in the middle of the egg size crater that was created by the hot light bulb. Im not only concerned that this has compromised the cooling capacity of my refrigerator. But that it could be a potential fire hazard. Still, I continue, with increasing doubt, to replace light bulbs with increasing frequency. I just installed the fourth bulb. Please help! Am I and my family in any immediate danger from this defective product?

I upgraded my kitchen with a new 4 piece silver, grey mist Frigidaire appliances. I was told that Frigidaire was the best. My previous appliance was Frigidaire. I had no problem with them. My refrigerator broke within a 1.5 years. I was awaken by my smoke detector @ 4:30 am on 10/11/14. My kitchen was completely filled with smoke and a burning smell. After searching for what was burning, I saw smoke coming from the back of my fridge; so scary. I have NEVER had a problem with a NEW appliance before this issue. Called Frigidaire and was given no sympathy or empathy. I was told it no longer under warranty and that I should purchase an extended warranty after I have the problem fixed. The parts on my American made appliances were shown as made in Mexico. Very Strange. I could not see paying $1000s for appliances then paying $800 to get a NEW appliance fixed. My heart was broken. After 2 weeks with no fridge, they agreed to pay for the parts, but the labor and service call was well over $300. Frigidaire need to work on their Customer Service Dept. I was hung up on several times, after being on hold for 30 minutes, my call was placed back into the cue, I was given misinformation, the list goes on and on. I just cant believe a company that I thought was so upstanding, turned out to be very disgraceful. I can no longer tell my friends and family to purchase any Frigidaire appliances. Yes, it looks great, but thats about it. :-( I have receipts, documentation, names and dates to back up every thing I have said, which is entirely true.

Bought Frigidaire microwave 6 months ago. Quit working and after 4 service
Bought Frigidaire microwave 6 months ago. Quit working and after 4 service calls, runaround from Frigidaire customer service, many lost hours of frustration (too many to count) Im at my wits end. Last service guy told me Frigidaire will NEVER replace an appliance. Said theyll just keep trying solutions, ordering more parts, etc. After 2 months Im done! I bought the microwave from Wayfair so as a last resort called them. After a couple of minutes on the phone they gave me a FULL REFUND without having to return it! Really? I also found this hoping it will help somebody:Here’s what worked: 1) Be nice. Every person I spoke with at Electrolux tried to help. 2) Take notes. Log every problem, every conversation with support staff including who you spoke with and their company ID, if they have one. 3) Know what you want to accomplish. The company would have been happy to continue repairing the fridge until it was out of warranty. I made it clear that the warranty would not expire until I had one year of trouble-free operation. 4) Put a limit on what you will accept from the company. When I got to my limit (and you must be reasonable about your limit) I required the company take action.5) Talk to a person who can say yes. When the service person says “no”, ask to speak with a supervisor. The language that finally worked for me with a third level supervisor was: “Can you authorize this (replacement or refund) or should I speak with your legal department?” 6). Be prepared to follow through. I did not ASK for a replacement or refund, I told Electrolux that I would accept nothing less, I filed a complaint with my state’s Department of Consumer Affairs and I let them know I was willing to file suit to replace a defective design. At that exact point, after receiving their copy of my filing, Electrolux refunded the full purchase price of the refrigerator and refused to pick up the old one. Never, never buy Frigidaire again!!!

Im selling my house and got an offer, the buyers inspector finds my Frigidaire stove has a recall, havent been fixed. And this fixing was put in that 1 week offer as a condition. When I call Frigidaire, they tell me to post the parts and later arrange the service, and 24 hours later thered be an automatic email send to me. I told buyers side that we will provide the email for them to delete the condition. But several days later I havent got this email. I called back but they said they dispatch the recall request to a service company but failed to tell me, and no email at all. Why not tell me? I told you its an important email for me. Because its a mistake! Im not happy so I want to complain. But the lady just said, If you dont have other things to help hope you have a good day, and hang up the phone! Its worst customer service I ever have!

I have purchased numerous Frigidaire products and have had problems with all them. Will never purchase one again. My air conditioner has been replaced three times already since it breaks after a few months of service and since the unit is sealed they dont fix them, just replace them. I purchased a three year warranty through them and it will take 7 to 10 business days just for them to get in touch with my store (only 5 minutes from my home) so I can return the unit for a new one. I find this to be ridiculous. It has taken longer to speak with their customer relations dept. then it would have taken them to email the store. Everything is automated and they have all of my information on the contract. It is infuriating to the consumer and it does not say anything about having to wait 7 to 10 Business days for them to simply get in touch with the store for a replacement item. They have so many customers complaining that the wait time to even speak to someone is absurd. My refrigerator purchased through them also broke within a year. First service call gave me some story about the floor in my kitchen not being level. Called again and finally got someone who tested the motor and replaced it. The range, also Frigidaire, always smelled like gas whenever we turned it on. Had my gas company come out a few times to check since the entire house would fill up with gas. I called an independent appliance repairman and it turns out the igniter was too small for the unit so the gas had a difficult time passing through. He replaced it with a larger one. Clearly Frigidaire does not know how to make any product. Im done. Would never buy another product of theirs again. It is business day 5 and Im still waiting for them to call and tell me when to pick up a new air conditioner that will probably break in the next two months.

Frigidaire Gallery Double Oven Range - We bought the range about a month ago. A couple of days ago, I reached out my right hand to open the top oven door and jammed my baby finger into one of the vent openings at the front of the door sustaining a deep gash on the pad of that finger. Today, I used my left hand to hang a dishtowel on the handle of the top oven and jammed the baby finger of that hand into the vent again sustaining a deep cut on the pad of that finger. I have small grandchildren here often and I am worried about those openings on the top oven door. Terrible design and dangerous.

Customer service nightmare. I purchased all new kitchen appliances from Frigidaire back in October. My microwave has broken twice. That is not the good part though. They sent someone out to reinstall the new one and they told me that the screws didnt match up so they could not install it. This was 5 weeks ago. They gave me numbers to call. No one calls me back. I have had to contact Frigidaire who also offers no advice. The truth is that the nuts on top of the microwave are not attached and rolling around loose in the machine. So there is nothing for the bolts to screw into. I have explained this again and again and nobody there understands what nuts are or the purpose of them. Frigidaire cannot wrap their brains around that and keep telling me there is nothing more that they can do. I have had a defective microwave in my kitchen since. Now the imbeciles refuse to call or email me back. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE A POINT OF TELLING EVERYONE TO BEWARE.

I have to say, I am very biased. I prefer Frigidaire. We have 2 side by side units, one from 2006, and the other one is from 2017. Both have worked very well, and, yes we have had some minor repairs that I always could fix, but, overall, they just do what we expect. I think the key is to not buy all of the fancy electronics. Both of our units just have water / ice in the door, and that is all. On the 2006, other than filters, I just replaced the water control assy in the back of the unit. Part was less than 40.00. So, I guess I have had good ones. I still would buy them again.

I purchased a side by side refrig last year. Purchase date was 9/9/13. I reported the refrig was freezing everything on both sides on 9/8/14. One day before the warranty expired. They informed me since it was reported before the expiration date that all was covered. They scheduled a repairman to come 9/15/14. Today I called to check why the repairman did not come. I was told that they would not pay since the warranty has expired, but would sell me a extended warranty for 95.00 dollars that would pay for parts only. The refrig broke while it was covered, it was reported before it expired, how can they not honor the warranty? Now they say they have no record of it being registered. The first lady I spoke to one Sept 8th found it, why cant they find it now? Frigidaire warranties are worthless. I will not have another product of theirs in my home!

5/17/17 Installed window AC (heavy 18,000 btu). Strange sound and smell upon plugging it in. Repair tech said Power Supply Board / Relay Switch not functioning. Frigidaire (Electrolux) wanted to repair the New unit. After arguing it was replaced by retailer not Frigidaire. 6/16/17 Stopped working, retailer would not replace it, Frigidaire sent repair tech a week later, same problem as first unit. Part ordered, repair tech installed, didnt start, etc. 8/1/17 Today 1.5 months of calls speaking Supervisors they are still stating they will find a repair company to fix the unit. Summer will be over before it’s fixed. I have emailed, Chatted, pleaded and cried. Even offered to accept a buyout of the unit (cost $600) at 50% less since I have had to purchase a replacement. Never will buy Frigidaire again! If a negative star was possible that is what I would give them. Will only shop at P.C. Richard, which has amazing customer service and repairs.

Frigidaire is not standing behind their product. The control panel on our 6 year Frigidaire Professional Series double oven wall started blinking. We already replaced the control panel in 2013. We were incredulous. We called Frigidaire and were told, The blinking lights signified the control panel appeared to be broken. They advised us to have a certified repair man visit to be sure it was the control panel. We did ($80). It was; so we called them back and ordered it. They took our order. 18 days later we called. They said they did not have the part and had refunded our money. They never notified us.Today Frigidaire told me they discontinued the stove and have no parts available. I searched online and called local stores. No parts available for a 6 year old stove. They did not tell us this when they advised us to get the repair person. We expect a stove to last much more than 6 years and are very upset the control panel would malfunction twice in 6 years!!! They offered us nothing. We are very upset since Frigidaire was always a name we trusted. Never again.

About 18 months ago, we purchased a Frigidaire Professional Double Convection Oven, a matching Microwave/Hoodfan and a matching Warming Drawer from Sears. Total cost was about $6000 as I recall. All four of the (no name) bulbs in the ovens failed within three months of very limited use, suggesting to me that Frigidaire/Electrolux were using cheap and nasty bulbs of unspecified make which were not fit for the intended purpose. I replaced them all with bulbs from Noma and not one of the four Noma ones has failed since.About 10 months ago, we carried out the recommended self-clean cycle, following which the top oven would not come up to temperature. Sears service was called, took up my time removing the oven from its cabinet and replaced the thermal trip/breaker which is located in an absurdly inaccessible place at the back and behind the oven for a (resettable!) trip. Sears wisely decided to fit a new trip rather than just resetting the original one. Then, about three weeks ago, we noticed that the enamel is failing on the bottom of the top oven casing, clearly the result of faulty manufacturing. It has fallen off in several places. I contacted Sears and they claimed that this was cosmetic and not covered by the extended warranty which I had purchased. At my insistence, their service man came out and inspected it and clearly told me that me his view is that this was not cosmetic but is a manufacturing fault. I was party to his end of the telecon he then had with his supervisor, and it was clear that his supervisor was telling him (from 2000 miles away, never having seen the problem at first hand) that as far as Sears was concerned, it was cosmetic and not covered by warranty. Sears made no reference to Frigidaire on the issue. It was clear that the dishonest Sears supervisor was telling his service technician that he was to tell me that the issue was cosmetic, and appeared to be instructing him that that was what he was to write in his report. I spoke to Sears customer Service (a misnomer if ever there was one) and they told me that the service guy had stated in his report that is was a cosmetic issue, not covered. They then told me that they had ordered a replacement casing (in effect recognizing that it needed replacing) and that I would be charged for it. Well, at some point, theyll be asking me for my credit card Number and no way will I ever be giving them that! We carried out another self-cleaning cycle a couple of weeks ago and the top oven once again will not reach the set temperature. Looks like the issue is not the trip at all, but a more fundamental problem. So, but for the fact that we have the second oven, wed have been ovenless again for some weeks. This week, I phoned Sears and told them that after all these issues over 18 months of very limited and very careful usage, I wanted a replacement oven, as I was unprepared to tolerate such an unreliable and poorly-manufactured product and could not devote yet more of my valuable time to dealing with yet more service calls. They have declined to agree to that.Today, I contacted Frigidaire/Electrolux in Misssauga and spoke to some creature whose English was barely understandable and who basically told me that the whole matter was one for Sears, not Electrolux. I found him obstructive, unhelpful and unworthy of a customer service position. There was no recognition that any of these issues were in any way the responsibility of Frigidaire/Electrolux as the manufacturer of the appliance! So, both Sears and Electrolux will now find that they are having to deal with a Scotsman who doesnt tolerate fools gladly, doesnt tolerate so-called customer service as appalling and unreasonable as this and doesnt tolerate being *** to.I am truly appalled at the obstructive, dishonest and unreasonable attitudes of both Sears and Electrolux and currently await a visit from a senior Sears technician, which is being arranged at my insistence. Neither Sears nor Electrolux give a *** for the fact that a customer has spent several thousand dollars on a major name product branded professional (suggesting superior quality and reliability) which is of unmerchantable and unsatisfactory quality. I wouldnt touch another Frigidaire/Electrolux appliance with a bargepole but this issue is far from over. Watch this space!

We purchased a top of the line Frigidaire Microwave 6 months ago. A few weeks ago I put the timer on and was out of the room for about 10 minutes. I was not using any heating component of the unit. When I returned to the kitchen it was smoking and all the plastic parts inside had melted. I had to unplug it to turn it off. Ok bad but the house didnt burn down. So contact Frigidaire and they will replace it, right? Nope. Sent out a repair person about a week later who would not accommodate our work schedule to say we can fix it. Ok, that was 2 weeks ago and they called to say we will be there Thursday between 10 am and 1 pm to fix it. Called them to say I could not be here then, I am a teacher in the middle of exams!!! Not deserting my students for a microwave I didnt break! So anyway the woman was very rude and said to call Frigidaire and tell them how I refused to accommodate them... My husband called the repair service and asked them to please find a time that works and they said no. He called Frigidaire back and they said, Oh they dont have the parts yet, please tell me why they were going to come last Thursday if they Dont have the parts... Anyway microwave still broken, no end in sight and a terrible experience.

I purchased the Gallery Series of appliances. To date, the range, dishwasher and refrigerator have all needed repairs (the dishwasher and refrigerator needed repairs within 1 year of purchase). The latest is the stove... about 1 month ago the smooth top range began to smoke from the back of the unit near the control knobs and about a week later the stove began to beep and would not stop beeping. Now the stove will only heat to 200 degrees while beeping continuously and the oven will shut off, the continuous beeping continues.I contacted Frigidaire and was told the stove was no longer in warranty... that I could purchase the expensive Extended warranty for this product. I purchased the warranty offered and was told the warranty was sold in error and that they would not honor the warranty because this is now considered a pre-existing condition. The real question is Why does a basically new appliance not hold up to less than normal use and is broken down, considered USELESS after two years. This is a fire hazard and this company has no real interest in the customer after they sell the appliance to you. They do have a high interest in PUSHING their expensive extended warranties off on you as though they already know the appliances will break down within one to two years of purchase.

Has made my summer very comfortable and relaxing without having to worry about the heat. The air conditioner runs cold and is an extremely great product. Will always stick with this brand. The performance of the air conditioner is extremely well. It has multiple settings to help improve a better experience for those hot summer days. It has a great look to it as well as being easy to use. White in color, multiple settings, easy to see buttons, clear writing as well as big buttons. I haven't had any problems with this product. It has been very reliable, the filter has stayed very clean throughout the summer without having to be cleaned or replaced. It turns on no problems and cools down a room extremely quickly.

We purchased all Frigidaire appliances 4 years ago and we have not been happy with any of them! Our ice maker stopped working 3 months ago and our gas range scratched up so easily on the top by the burner grills that we had that replaced after 6 months! We also had to replace the bottom panel in the oven because it scratched with normal cleaning using a scrubby. Now I have a permanent white spot in between the glass on the oven door. Sent an email to Frigidaire with my dissatisfaction for both appliances and heard nothing! We too are retired and we do not abuse our appliances. I’ve had ranges and refrigerators that have lasted for more than 20 years and still looked brand new. Do not buy Frigidaire appliances. Lowe’s doesn’t care and apparently either does Frigidaire. This stove isnt practical at all for everyday cooking. It needs constant cleaning or it looks like hell. The rubber feet under the grates melted away after year and go look up much it costs to replace them. After a year the black paint in the back started coming off despite my best efforts to be careful. The back should be porcelain so it can be scrubbed. Paint just sucks. The burners dont even come close to heating evenly. Its really bad! If youre lucky and have a really old stove, keep it. None of the modern stoves seem fit for heavy use. My husband and I purchased all new Frigidaire Gallery Appliances on 3-22-2014. On August 5, 2018 the compressor went out on the refrigerator with no warning at all. It had not been running warm, it was not making any noises, the freezer just shot up to 34 degrees and the next morning the refrigerator was at 59 degrees. This is at minimum an $800.00 repair. We did not purchase the extended warranty, it would have been past the time of use anyway. In speaking to customer service at Frigidaire their only response was they will make note of my dissatisfaction with the product she also commented had I purchased the warranty this would have been covered since you have up to 13 years after you buy a product from Frigidaire to get one. Clearly, this company does not care about customer service or making a top notch appliance. The dishwasher died after months requiring a $275.00 repair. I purchased a Frigidaire upright freezer in July of 2021. By the end of December, the freezer had an indicator light blinking which mean the temperature was dropping inside. I had almost $400 worth of food which was thawing and had to be thrown out. This happened New Years weekend, and I was not able to contact Frigidaire until Tuesday, January 4th, when they reopened from the holidays. They sent a technician immediately out the next day, January 5th, and he noted that 5 different components of the freezer had gone bad and needed to be replaced. He also mentioned that hed had over 20 different calls on the same freezer, which the same issues with the 5 components failing. I called back to Frigidaire on January 5, 2022, and told the representative that five components failing was not a fluke but a defect in the unit. I also noted that this model freezer was discontinued....I wonder why? The representative told me that if they were unable to order the five components within 7 to 10 business days, I could get a refund. No one contacted me and I called back on the 11th business day, which was January 20th. I spoke to both a representative and her supervisor and they told me that I would not receive a refund, but would simply have to wait until they received the backordered parts. I asked her what timeline would be reasonable, and she said she didnt know, I would just have to wait! I demanded a refund, and she refused. She said the only way I would get a refund is if the technician declared the freezer unrepairable, which, clearly they will not do. All the while, I am without a freezer, lost over $400 in food, and the 1 year warranty is ticking away. By the time the unit is repaired, I will then be out of warranty and out of luck not if, but when it breaks down again. All I was offered is $100 in food replacement. I want a refund and want this freezer declared defective.

The stove and oven are functional. It is a new unit, but it also feels so tiny regarding quality of materials. I question the longevity of its function. Our family had a stove that lasted 30 years. I dont think that this unit will endure that long. Planned obsolescence.

You may as well hand wash your dishes, several dont come out clean. Forget pots and pans, your wasting your time putting them through the cycle. 2nd fridge that the ice maker failed, its only 1.5 years old but out of warranty. $400 later and I have ice that wont come out the door. After a lifetime of using Fridgedaire products I will be moving on.

Purchased in 12/2019 and installed for use 6/2020. In November used self-clean option as recommended by brochure. Shortly after code FO45 appeared every time turned on. Service persons report over heating caused by self-clean caused need to replace Control panel and fan. Service company working for Frigidaire would replace once I pulled out oven from wall to make accessible. Now Frigidaire//Electroluxs own service personnel coming to replace these parts. But I have been advised not to use the self-cleaning since it will happen again. To add to frustration with Frigidaire, the Frigidaire Refrigerator purchased in 4/2020 and installed to be used at same time (6/2020) now has a malfunctioning freezer. Would I purchase another Frigidaire product or recommend? NO!!

Bought a Frigidaire oven, Microwave and an Oven in 2011. Microwave: After 2 years cheap plastic handle cracked and broke - used crazy glue. Still works in 2020 but looks bad. Refrigerator: Just before warranty expired compressor broke - got it fixed but in 2018 fridge section thermocouple broke - using as freezer in basement. Never buying Frigidaire brand again.
