Spilled coffee down the control panel of my Bosch dishwasher

Just had this beautiful Bosch stainless steel 500 series installed last week. It's one of the ones with the control panel at the top so it's hidden unless you open the door.
Today I was unbagging groceries on my kitchen island and knocked over my coffee, and it poured over the sides of my counter all over the top of the dishwasher.
I immediately soaked it up with a cotton dish rag but it looked like the coffee had pooled around the buttons of the control panel. Here's a photo to show what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/gQLhmae.
Can't believe it. In the 4 years I had my previous decades year old dishwasher I don't think this ever happened.
Does anyone know if a little cover could get into the controls and cause any damage? Or will it just dry up and be fine? I tried my best to absorb it immediately but I'm scared it seeped down around the buttons before I could clean it.
Question from user paulrudder at Appliances at reddit.com.
Answer:
If its running. Leave it. You will cause more damage trying to clean. The weak spot on our Bosch is the top cover. Caused more damage, removing mine that I had to order a replacement.
