Why are all the high efficiency rating fridge freezers also huge?

I tried to have a Samsung FF as recommended by Which? delivered today, and the delivery person took it back because it was too big to fit through the hall door! Why does it seem that all the best reviewed and most efficient ones are stupidly tall?
Question from user Hyphz at Appliances at reddit.com.
Answer:
Maybe because .
1) larger fridge = more insulation.
2) as size increases volume (cubed) increases faster than surface area (squared). Heat loss will be a function of surface area. Same size heat exchanger may have to turn on less often as there's more heat capacity relative to heat loss.
3) larger fridges may have larger mechanicals which may be more efficient than smaller.
Idk these are all just guesses.
