We purchased a home with a Bosch dishwasher. The previous owner did not leave any paperwork on any appliance. The electronics in dishwasher door started a kitchen fire. The insurance company will take care of the kitchen damage, but will not replace the dishwasher. The dishwasher replacement is completely our responsibility. When I called Bosch to see if they would at the very least give me a partial credit toward the purchase of a new Bosch I was told by Representative Kayla, and not very sympathetically, that since I didnt have any paperwork on the original purchase they would not do anything for me. Basically too bad, so sad. Well guess who will not purchase another Bosch product.

I have been the owner of Kenmore dishwashers since 1978. Today I had to have one service for technical issues the door latch for the first time ever. It was purchased in July 2015, not two years old. It is a Bosch by Kenmore, the door latch keeps popping during the wash cycle, and you have to keep closing it. Very irritating. Of course there is only a one year warranty on it, and they refuse to cover expenses. I called Bosch and they really dont care. Poor attitude. Don’t buy Bosch products. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME FOR ME. WE LEARN BY OUR MISTAKES. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Dual Fuel Slide-In Range - When I first started cooking on my new range, I was very excited. Within the first month or two, I noticed the porcelain rings around the burners had melted some and begin to look like lava rock. I bought a 4-year extended warranty but I was told by Lowes to call Bosch. I then spoke to a female person in California who was very rude, and who informed me I probably spilled something while cooking - end of a very rude conversation. Lowes didnt really help either. I have since not considered Bosch for every time I use the stove, I see defective parts. Ive just started to email this past year and thought I would put my 2 cents in.

I purchased a Bosch Eco action washer and dryer. Do not make the same mistake. Clothes never come out clean - spots do not come out and other washers have cleaned much better! If you run too many loads in the washer, it gives you an error message. When you call Bosch, they tell you that you need to call a repairman and charge you $100. The dryer never shuts off - it has this de-wrinkle feature that the dry clothes continue to spin even after they are dry - an annoying and wasteful feature. You cannot put a load of clothes in the dryer and then leave because it continues to spin wasting electricity! Dont waste your money on any Bosch appliances!

This is one of the items that exemplifies the saying, you get what you pay for. I could never bring myself to pay more than $400 to $450 for a dishwasher. When we remodeled our kitchen, we decided to research and upgrade to higher end appliances. The Bosch was highly rated. Its so quiet, we have to make a serious effort to hear if its running when we are standing right next to it. Looks great and appears very well made.

I bought a Bosch stainless steel dishwasher in December 2012. Today, 12/2017 my dishwasher has rusted down the front. Bosch says it has not rusted through (water coming out) so it will not be repaired unless I want to pay the cost of a new front. I will never buy another Bosch product - my dishwasher that was replaced by this one was over 20 years old and had not rusted. I wish I had it back!

Bought both a Bosch Hedge trimmer and a Pressure washer with some money I had been given as a present. I, like many other people, had been brainwashed into thinking that German products were the best and that by buying Bosch, Id be buying a good product. Firstly, the Hedge trimmer seemed ok, used it once or twice until the third time it seized up and refused to work. I took it back to the shop I bought it from and was given a new one. That one too, seized up and blew the RCD in the house. The internals had fallen to pieces (cheap plastic). I took that back and got a Black and Decker instead. Worked brilliantly, and still does ten years on! Pressure washer next. Used once. Seemed ok. Not brilliant but average. Used a second time and the lance fell to bit spraying me in the face!!! Cheap and nasty plastics! Took it back and was given another one. Motor failed on that one after 2 months of average usage! Bosch? CRAP!

I bought my dream kitchen’s appliances all BOSCH on July 8, 2013: the worst decision!!! The microwave does not heat evenly! I use the MW primarily to heat a cup of milk. I set it for one and a half minutes, and what happens? It scorches the top of the milk, to the point it boils over the cup while the bottom of the cup is warm at best. I called their customer service, had a technician come and his response: The MW is working properly... please refer to page X in the user manual where it says to stop the heating midway through and mix the liquid for optimal heating. Really? I think a cheapo MW does better. That is plain wrong! I had never had issues with any other MW... and this is what they say? This is ridiculous. DO NOT BUY BOSCH period. I thought I was making a good decision, but I regret it every day. Having odor issues with an 800 series dishwasher. Stick to GE! It could be all made in China, but at least its a product used by the masses, and as such statistically the number of defects will be very few. And price wise... theyre almost the same.

I do not have whether anyone managed to get help in France or in Cyprus for Bosch appliances? Trying to contact them, for both fridge and stove problems, to no avail. The French number is out of date and the Cypriot one does not exist. Bosch only wants to sell but does not seem to be willing to keep their customers in the long-run. Lesson duly learned and the word will be spread.

I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer
I have had so many clothes ruined by this Bosch 500 Series washer and dryer. I had purchased this set from Lowe’s as a second set for the upper level of my home so I would not have to walk down to the basement. I have an 8-year-old LG Tromm set down there. This set seemed to have lots of positive reviews, and I got a great deal on the display model, so I thought I got a good deal. White clothes come out grey and dingy even with bleach. All my family’s jeans have permanent crumple creases down the legs from where the dye faded. Bed sheets turn into long twisted ropes, which would work out well if I was trying to make an escape from my prison window. And everything smells moldy. The dryer does not have a heat setting and shuts off before the clothes are dry, leaving the moldy clothes even more time to get even moldier. The steam setting does not steam but rather drips moldy water onto clothes, leaving them with wet spots. Settings are weird: like you have a choice of damp dry, regular dry, extra dry, and my favorite, xxxtraxtra dry? And not one of the settings gets the clothes dry because you have to line dry the clothes to finish the drying once they are done. And the washer is the same; weird settings like comforters, jeans, and babycare, but not white, brights, or colors? Then if you really want to get aggravated, you can select an eco-smart function that uses less water, making the dinginess of the dirty water even more concentrated, and it takes 3 hours for it to cycle. One nice thing is that it is quiet while it runs, but when it’s all done with the load, it will beep loudly all night every 2 minutes, and you can’t shut it off until you get up and open the door, then the light stays on all night. So why this machine won energy saver awards is puzzling. Anyways, after buying every kind of laundry detergent made to man, testing out all the silly stupid settings, replacing filters, hoses, and gaskets, and stacking and unstacking the machines, I have given up and am listing this machine on craigslist for free for whoever wants to ruin their clothes. Oh, my old LG cleans circles around this hunkajunk, plus it is used at least 5 times a day to clean towels from a hair salon. I had to replace a pump that went out on it; LG just charged me shipping and sent me the part free even though it’s out of warranty for 6 yrs. So, my advice to someone who wants to buy this machine? Don’t waste your money when you can come get mine for free!

Our built in microwave 800 series starting having trouble about a year after purchase. The display went dim. We were told it was no longer in warranty so just lived with it. Subsequently the door broke, the fuse blew and the circuit board overloaded and failed/burned out (all out of warranty). The service person came ($200) to tell us the door being crooked from when we bought it caused all these problems because the left and right side triggers were engaging out of sync when opening and closing. The cost to repair the unit would be more than the value of the microwave at original purchase. As for a prorate on a replacement model. Its taken them 6 weeks and counting just to process that request while I continue to get voicemails that a repair person is coming back to fix it (a solution Ive repeatedly rejected as paying over $1000 to repair a microwave is nonsense). Two months of calls to Bosch support several times a week and still waiting to get this resolved. The prorate amount they have offered is a very small discount considering they sold us a lemon in the first place. Very disappointed with bosch at every step and would not recommend the product nor customer service.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. It had an interior odor from the very beginning and the smell continues to get worse, unbearable actually. We clean it regularly, wash the filters, use store bought cleaners, have tried vinegar, everything imaginable that I could find on the net. A couple weeks ago I decided to call Bosch. They sent a a service tech to the house who was there a total of 5 minutes. He looked in the dishwasher, checked the filter and the wash wand. He confirmed that the machine has an odor, confirmed that it is installed correctly and that the machine was in fact clean and well maintained. I followed up with Customer Service and was told the problem had been escalated. I was told they would respond within a 24-48 hour window. They didnt. I followed up once again and was told they would do nothing about the situation. When they said a service tech would come by, I assumed that meant they would be able to help. Sadly, it was all a waste of time. There has been nothing done to eliminate the odor and no explanation as to why the odor exists. We are currently renovating and will be replacing the dishwasher. We will NEVER EVER purchase a Bosch appliance again. This was an expensive mistake.

Was told by salesperson at Lowes in Longview that the Bosch Dishwasher #SHe53tf2ud02 FD9503003422 was the best to buy. Was purchased for $796.41 in May 4th. 2015 at Lowes in Longview. From the start we could not dry dishes in the machine. Asked for service man to look at it to see why it would not dry dishes. We were told by service rep. that it was not designed to dry dishes. Went back to sales department at Lowes and were told that it was too bad but we purchased a dishwasher that didnt dry dishes. No recourse what so ever. So, since owning it our dishes are now etched and the washer stinks up the kitchen and make it smell like a moldy swamp. We are removing the crappy dishwasher and replacing it with a 219.00 Frigidaire like the one we took out. Dont buy Bosch from Lowes or anywhere else.

Bosch are terrible products and there customer service is even worse. We bought a new house and it came with Bosch appliances. After living in the house for 2.5 years the refrigerator’s water filter broke and then the fridge stopped cooling. This happened at the best possible time. I just had my second child who is now one month old child, my mother and father in-law are visiting as well as my brother and sister in-law with their two kids. Bosch only allows for factory service people to inspect the machine. On the list of 4 in my area, Palo Alto 3 dont deal with refrigeration units. I was able to get someone to come out in two days to look at this. Keep in mind when you have a 1 month old child, milk and formula must be kept cold and they need to be fed every 3 hrs. The factory tech said the problem was a leak in the coolant. He cant guarantee the fix because they cant fix all leaks, but since the fridge is out of warranty the repair will cost $900. Keep in mind I went to Home Depot and bought a fridge out of necessity for my garage, GE, $400.I asked Bosch if they could work with me on the repair or discount a new fridge. If they would Id buy Bosch and be a loyal customer. They said youre out of warranty so we wont do anything for you. Huge inconvenience factor and they just dont care about the customer.

Finally, they gave us the number ** of senior authority from Bosch Services who had kept awaiting us by telling that he will call and update on the status, and kept postponing the dates without giving any info on the status.I have lost my patience following up the poor and reckless customer service, as it wasted my time as well as money on the name of the brand just for a spare part. If this is the situation of service in the warranty period, then I just cant imagine what will it be after that period. I also pity on customer service who cannot give any information on the address of their Service Center. Washing machine is a very important home appliance in a daily life and we cannot waste any more time on following up people from one side with no response on the opposite side which delayed and disturbed routine planned schedule. Hence, I request you to refund the money or to do the service as quick as possible since it is already one month with no update on the status from the Service Center either through mail/phone.

Had a refrigerator where the ice maker never work from the day one. They asked to show them proof of purchase and I did. Called them, was told the management is going to review. Follow up with them and found out they never send report to management to make decision. Rude customer service. They hung up the phone on you and no one is above the one picks up the phone nor supervise. The customer service on the corner store is much better than Bosch customer service. I bought a Bosch dishwasher as it was recommended by the appliance store but it has been terrible at cleaning. I had a repairman come out while it was still under warranty and he just said I needed to use different detergent. Tried that and still doesnt clean properly and continues to get worse. Their customer service says there is nothing they can do. Have given up and am buying another brand. Would never buy a Bosch again.

I had called the factory service (Dale ** at **) and also talked to the service manager Ron ** to have my dryer repaired. The problem was first tried to fix on August 8th, 2011 where I had paid close to $300. But the problem of the clinging and banging noise did not go away. After 2 more visits, the service man had ordered new parts that seemed to be delivered always wrong. Today, after 3 months later, my nerves are blank listening to this banging, clinging dryer noise, which I have to hear 3 times per week. Nobody calls anymore to show any effort to fix this problem. How can it be that Bosch cannot fix their own machines? I think that I have been more than patient. And if you cannot repair what is wrong with my dryer, then I deserve a new machine. Or, deduct the already paid $273.25 and get me a new dryer.

We called Bosch when our 2 1/2 year old dishwasher broke. Their service dept. had a 2 week wait so they recommended authorized service providers with Mr. Appliance at the top of the list. We called Mr. Appliance and told them of the error code displayed and requested service for a broken drain pump. They came, charged us $170 and didnt bring the part. Then they sent a $600 quote to fix the unit. I called Bosch because at this point I could buy a new dishwasher. After some back and forth they offered to pay for the part and Id pay for the labor. Mr. Appliance hadnt broken out the quote, Bosch said the part was $36. Bosch offered to call Mr. Appliance which they did but to no avail. Still a $600 job.Bosch charges a set fee ($129) then another $30 per 15 minutes. They had no information about how long it should take to install the part. They offered me 2 additional authorized repair companies. One was out of business and the other had horrendous reviews. I called an unauthorized company in my neighborhood with excellent reviews and they will do the job for $198 plus the part. Bosch refused to sell me the part or sell it to the unauthorized repair company.First of all, the unit should not break after 2 years of use by empty nesters who barely use the dishwasher. They should make a better quality product and stand by their brand with more than a free part. Secondly, Bosch needs to review their requirements for authorizing repair companies. They should consider pricing and reviews to hold these companies accountable in exchange for giving them so much business. It should not cost more than the price of a new unit to replace a common part. I will not buy another Bosch!

In the last few months I bought a trimmer from Amazon and was delighted with the product, however recently the battery started to spark and the trimmer now doesn’t work. I called up the service centre 2 days ago, I spoke to the most delightful lady who was really helpful and explained to me what the process was to get the trimmer fixed. Explained that I would need to print off a courier label that will need to be taped to a box that will hold trimmer because the a third party courier will be picking it up. I explained I don’t have a printer at home and live a in a small remote village and will not be sure when I can get to a printer. She said that it’s fine and that she will send me a pre print receipt and I can print that and then call her back to sort out a delivery.I didn’t receive the email with the label so I decided to call back today to try and get it sent back to me. I dial the number and give my reference number and let the man know I’m waiting for an email. To my surprise the man on the phone was rude and unprofessional, belittling me by saying that is not the process and that I need to arrange it and then get the email to me once it’s been processed.I try to explain the situation with the printer to get the label. He said, No need for a label but you need proof of purchase in the box. I said well printing is not really an option for me because of my situation to which he gave me ‘tough luck’ attitude. Then went on to say, Well do you want to arrange it or not? I replied to enquiry can I arrange it for a future date, which he said, No. We only do it 24 hours in advance, then he was of no help and pressured me to answer like I didn’t have time to even think about whether this is an option for me. And then he went on to say, The previous person you spoke to told you the wrong information. I’ll look up who it is and have them retrained. Disgusting attitude bad mouthing your own colleagues like that. This has been one of my worst experiences with customer services given my initial interaction was one of the most pleasantest conversations. Poor customer service and I’ll be glad this is the last time I buy from you again.

This Bosch front loader is the quietest washing machine that I have ever owned. Unlike my previous front loader, it doesnt vibrate when it spins, it seems perfectly balanced. I also like the option of being able to use it as a dryer. Compared with separate driers, it is small, so I only recommend it as an occasional dryer. The wash/drier option is a real space saver, if you dont have enough space for two separate items.

I needed a new dishwasher and decided to buy a Bosch because I have always thought this was a high-end equipment. I did buy the simple model that was highly-rated in Consumer Reports. The dishwasher is horrible! I have to wash the dishes before they go into the dishwasher, and sometimes when they come out, there is often what looks like soap residue on the dishes. Does the dishwasher not rinse? Pots with spillover dont get clean. Tea rings in cups dont come out. Im thinking about replacing this dishwasher!

I purchased a dishwasher from Sears about three years ago. It worked well for a few months, then began shutting off after a few minutes. It worked sometimes and sometimes not. I contacted Bosch who said they needed the original receipt. I always keep my receipts but of course.... So Sears printed me up a copy with all of the information on it. Of course Bosch would not accept this receipt as proof of purchase. I had spoken with someone from Bosch several times both by phone and email. They told me who to contact to repair. No one would return my calls or even want to travel to repair this expensive dish drainer. I even contacted people who repaired appliances and when I said Bosch - they didnt want to work on it. Of course last week I found the original receipt, and since I know they didnt care then, they wouldnt now - I am sure. I thought it was good to try to keep your customers happy, but I guess they dont mind bad product reviews. I will never purchase a Bosch again. You would think they would read these reviews and do what they could to change peoples minds. Good customer service goes a long way.

Just bought a new Bosch one week ago. Terrible installation. The machine was left with lots of water in it. And a HORRIBLE SMELL! I was also dismayed by the extremely small amount of dishes that could be loaded due to the small spaces between the tines and the direction of them. I could not get anywhere near the same load in as my great whirlpool prior to this. I usually do one load a week or less. I filled the washer to try as the manual says the product comes with a smell!! Really! Could the installer or salesman explain this or say what to do about it? Then after the load it was still wet inside and still stinks. Ive had it and its only been 5 days.

When we moved into a new house in 2009, we bought and installed a Bosch SHE45M05UC/50 dishwasher. It worked fine until about 2012. At that point cups on the top started coming out of the machine with white grit on the inside/outside. The same crud collected in the slides of both racks, along the seal of the door, and on the door where the plastic plate is on the top rack as well as other places. Now dishes on the bottom sometimes also have this gritty crud on them when we pull them out. We have a water softener so it isnt hard water, and the filters have been repeatedly scrubbed and rinsed. I always check to make sure the spray arms are able to rotate freely before I shut the door and turn it on. Ive had a trusted repairman out here twice and he cant figure it out. I read other posts about the circulation pump possibly being an issue but havent had it replaced. Im wondering if others have and if so, did it help? I certainly wouldnt buy another Bosh appliance. Our old GE dishwasher lasted 10 years and cleaned fine even if it was quite noisy.

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in February of 2012. There was a horrible odor from the dishwasher. I called their customer service and was told service repair will be done under warranty. The first appliance company came out and replaced a sensor. I was hoping that would elevate the problem. But no, the odor still emanated from the dishwasher - so foul my daughter refused to empty it. So I called again; this time using a different service company. They came out and said there was nothing wrong, and to use the Quantum detergent (which I was already doing, but Bosh customer service told me to use the powder). So needless to say, they left and did nothing. I called Bosh yet again and they told me to have it serviced. I called the same company (that was just there and said nothing was wrong) to come out yet again. This time they found the heat sensor was bad. So they came out to replace it, only to tell me they could not get this dishwasher out. I would have to call the installer. I called the installer to come out. They had no problem getting it out and charging me $170.00 to do so. My concern is that this heating element is not the real issue and I will have to have it reinstalled, pay more money and still have the horrific odor coming from the dishwasher. When I called Bosh and explained my plight, and all the time I missed from work, they said, You need to have at least 3 services done on it before we do anything. I truly dont think the heating element is going to solve the issue. Two separate components went bad and the dishwasher isnt even a year old. Isnt there some lemon law? I am frustrated beyond frustrated! Has anyone else had these issues with Bosch? If so, class action could be applied.

The dishes simply do not get clean. Even simple things like coffee cups come out still stained. I end up pre-treating the dishes or handwashing especially stained items. Waste of money. I purchased the Bosch model that was around $500 because of their reputation. They sell machines in the $5000 range. These perhaps could be worth the money. This lower priced model was made to appeal to the average consumer and is very disappointing. It is a quiet machine but that wasnt necessarily important to me. I was especially impressed with the 3rd tray at the top for laying silverware horizontally. This allowed the basket on the bottom tier to be removed and seemed to provide more space. Instead, you find that the silverware simply doesnt get cleaned on the top tray. Furthermore, removal of the basket does not truly allow for that much more room. None of my saucepan lids can fit in the bottom tier unless they are loosely placed on the rim of the basket. Standard size, stainless steel and non-descript, but there are other brands just as elegant that actually clean the dishes. This dishwasher was sold with free packets of Finish. The packets never truly dissolve and you are wondering if you just washed your dishes with hot water. When speaking to a maintenance expert he explained the water doesnt get hot enough to melt the plastic and that is where you realize your energy savings. So why does Bosch promote the Finish packets? Are they that clueless about their own product?

Recently, the stove started burning the food. The service identified the problem as a failed relay board. Bosch shipped the wrong part, so we had to wait about a month for the correct shipment and repair. On a supposedly high quality item there should not be failures like this. Since then they sent a service tech from an outside organization out and the service person said the line was clogged, not a dishwasher problem. I asked why the dishwasher just stopped mid cycle and would not go any further including pumping water out. He said to get rid of the air gap loop the hose up and connect it directly to the disposal and all will be fine. I did as he said and not only is it against the national code, but all is not fine. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Furniture & Appliance Mart in Madison, WI. This was delivered on 9/16/15 by them. The appliance was professionally installed by our own installer. We ate supper that night & then turned on the dishwasher. It went through one part of the cycle & started making a strange sound that just kept going. We looked at it & saw that we had an E-15 error. This means there is a water leak in the bottom pan. We tried to override & shut this off & could not, so we shut the dishwasher off at the breaker. We contacted Bosch Customer Service & they told us to do something we did not understand. They told us to call back in the morning. We called back the next morning (Thurs) at 8am. They told us Akrit would service this for us & would call us back within 24 hours. I waited around all day Friday & when they didnt call by 4pm, I called Akrit myself. They told me that Bosch never contacted them, but, after searching through something on-line, they found my service call. I told them the problem & Ashley contacted the tech directly & set me up by noon on Monday. The tech showed up on time on Monday & checked out the dishwasher. He did a thorough job & found a small leak in the left rear welded seam. Thats when the problems started. I have a list of times & people I spoke to, to no avail at Bosch customer service. Each one telling me that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. (Joke!) That never, ever happened once! Finally, by 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, we were able to talk to someone at Bosch to set a file (claim) with Bosch. They received a copy of our purchase & a copy of what the tech wrote & told us theyd get back to us within 24 hours. We called again on Wednesday morning. After my husband was told that the person in customer service would not get back to us until at least Thursday morning, we decided to take matters into our own hands. He went into the store of purchase, spoke to the manager, who contacted customer service at their corporate office. They apologized to us & set up a delivery, set-up and new dishwasher & are dealing with Bosch themselves. Bosch Customer Service, in my opinion, does not exist. By the way, our 2nd new dishwasher was delivered, setup & installed Friday afternoon & works wonderfully! This was done only because Appliance & Furniture Mart stepped in & took care of us, their customer. Bosch called us back around 4pm Friday, by the way, 3 days after we set up the claim.

Repairman came out and had to call Bosch to have them walk through what to do in finding out what is wrong. Finally after a couple of calls, parts had to be ordered. I called customer service when I found out part was on backorder for 2 or more weeks. They explained part had just come in that day but would not go out to repair service for at least 10 days or so. I explained that she had the machine for about a month and now it is going to be out of service for that long. Customer service said they would expedite it. They would call and let us know it was on way. I had to call again because now a second or third part I didnt know about is on backorder. Has been 2 weeks and no one has let us know how things are going. Will not buy Bosch again. Customer service is pitiful. I worry my machine will break down now. Thought Bosch was a good company. Monday, November 06, 2017, I received by mail the Bosch Important Safety Recall Notice - Bosch Dishwashers letter regarding potential fire hazard. The dishwasher power cord can overheat and it was suggested to STOP using the appliance immediately if you have one of the affected models. I located my model and serial number and found that my dishwasher is affected by the 2017 recall expansion! I immediately went to the Bosch dishwasher recall registration Web page. Based on the information provided and my address, I received a list (only one agency name was listed) of authorized service agents that would inspect and repair my dishwasher at no charge, along with a reference number. So far, so good! On that very same day, I contacted the repair agency, gave them the information requested and was told they will order the part, and when the part is received they will call to schedule the repair appointment, and told me that it would probably be by the end of the week. By the end of the business week, Friday, November 10, 2017, they never called. On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent to ask for update on repair request. I was told the power cord is now expected to arrive on Thursday, November 16, 2017, and the repair will be scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2017, between 8AM - 5PM. I was also told the repairman will call me the day before, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, to narrow down the time within a two hour window for Fridays repair. On Friday, November 17, 2017, AGAIN I called Bosch authorized service agent since their repairman was a No Call, No Show. I was told that the repair has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2017 and that the part is still not in but should be in today or Monday the 20th. And, the repairman will call me on Monday, November, 20, 2017 with the time window for the Tuesday, November 21, 2017 repair. Maelynn, the service agent apologized for not calling to inform me and was not sure who even changed the repair schedule from November 16th to the 21st. Well, it is now Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and I still have NO dishwasher repaired, NO date for a repair, UNABLE to use the dishwasher, Thanksgiving is tomorrow and all the dirty dinner dishes will have to be washed the old fashioned way...by hand. Wed just purchased and installed a Bosch Ascenta (top marks from CR) when my husband got transferred. It was pricey but worth, so we opted to move our new appliance with us. No issues for a couple of years, then it stopped draining, wasnt under warranty etc. Since we werent sure how long wed be in our house we opted for less expensive brands - went through three before our big kitchen remodel. Went back to Bosch - unit was as outstanding as our first until we had to unhook it make so adjustments during the remodel. Since being reinstalled, it doesnt drain. We get an E25 error and have to run rinse cycles to force it to drain. It smells - like celery? Maple syrup? And the filters which I clean after every cycle are loaded with debris - and we pre-rinse!? Still under warranty I called Bosch. Since we dont live in a metropolitan area, they referred me to an approved Bosch service provider in lieu of sending a Bosch tech. Called their suggested provider and was advised that Id have to pay $100 for them just to come out even though this is a Bosch warranty call. Seriously? I already dropped $800 and now I have to shell out for something that should be fully covered by the warranty? Next washer wont be a Bosch.Updated on 05/07/2018: The grimy clean dishes and the awful stench had me biting the bullet and accepting the ridiculous service call charge. Service tech was at our house for less than half an hour and had to call Bosch Tech Line for help - between the two they decide its a defective wash pump. $490 to fix + $100 to diagnose = more than we paid for the unit (was a sweet Black Friday deal). Figured wed just buy a new unit until I was flipping through the owners manual and noted that this unit carried the Good Housekeeping Seal which guaranteed to refund or replace any defective product within the first two years of ownership. When I was finally able to get an answer from GH I was told that Bosch no longer carried the GH Seal but that theyd forwarded my info on to Bosch. I was surprised when Bosch contacted me, and upon my supplying proof of purchase and the service techs invoice, agreed to repair the washer at no charge to me and refund the $100 service call charge. I had such high hopes. Two weeks later, with a new genuine Bosch replacement part in hand, Mr. Service Tech installed the new wash pump and leaves telling me its all good. I run a cycle with no dishes and what do you know - E25! Mr. Service Tech comes back out and is on the phone with the Bosch Tech department again. Actually overheard him getting pointers on how to spin this to being our fault i.e., we installed the dishwasher incorrectly!?! Our dishwasher is routed directly into the waste water line in the basement, not into the kitchen sink (which drains in to the same waste water line) - so heres his analysis of the situation: Modern dishwashers dont have enough power to expel water down (to the pipe below the unit) and are made to push the water to the sink (through tubing fed through the nearby cabinets and UP into the disposal). So they can defy gravity, despite being low energy? He doesnt know why were only getting the error sometimes but thinks maybe theres an air bubble and the reason were able force drain is that enough water pressure builds up that its finally able to clear. Maybe theres something stuck in the drain pump - couldnt explain why he didnt check that the first time he came out - and didnt do it this time either!? Cant explain why the dishwasher worked for six months. Tells us to disconnect the dishwasher drain hose from the waste water line and set it up to drain into a 5 gallon bucket. Run a cycle and if the water drains into the bucket there should be no E25 error and proof that it wasnt correctly installed. Call him if that doesnt work.SO...we do it and we ran every conceivable cycle on after the other - no breaks - drained every time, but 50% of the time there was significant water left in the washer and the E25 error. Called Mr. Service Tech this morning. Was told that either hed call us back or the service company would call once they determined what to do. My bet is nothing. But, were not out anything, and we wont be buying a Bosch again!

Have had my Bosch front loader clothes washer for over 5 years. Bought it b
Have had my Bosch front loader clothes washer for over 5 years. Bought it because I wanted to do my part to minimize my foot print in water usage. Yep. A pain the whole time. My saving grace on major repairs is that I bought an extended warranty thru Lowes, although theyve had trouble getting the right part from Bosch. (Certified Bosch repair is expensive and not readily available even in Houston.) Dryer has not been QUITE the pain of the washer. It does dry close really well. Just breaks down once a year and tangles your clothes.Longest wash cycle I have EVER seen... 45-60 minutes. The spin cycle works well enough, but your clothes get all tangled together, so they are more wrinkled. (So the efficiency of the dryer didnt speed up laundry duties. Dryer sits empty while I wait on the washer to finish... the opposite of washers and dryers of the past.) Right off the bat, the washer began to smell and the clothes, too. (Everyone must know this by now. Four years later, Tide comes out with a washing machine cleaner. Now the machine to clean my clothes needs a cleaner!!) Called for warranty work. Of course, they said it was MY fault. Too much detergent. NO. Wrong detergent. NO. Too large a load. NO. Too much fabric softener. NO. Well, then they say, leave it open between washes and run an empty wash with Clorox every few days. Excuse me? THIS is saving water??? Have to use a bleaching scrub and bristled brush to clean the rubber gasket around the door from the mold and mildew every couple of months, and run an empty wash to clean it before washing clothes again. (What do you think it looks like INSIDE where I cant see or reach???) So, we NEVER leave a washed load in for more than an hour, because it will need washing again.) Also run a bleach wash at least once a week (another delay), as a preventative measure, and supplement with small amount of baking soda. AND the clothes often dont smell clean. EVERY spot needs pre-treating. Towels are particularly tough to get smelling clean, and often the hand towels dont come clean in the most used areas.About every fifth wash load, the finished load is soaking wet. Since I cant tell when it malfunctioned, and if it did so with detergent in it (low sudsing detergent), I have to wash the load again. Another hour-long delay. P.S. Front loaders need to be raised, set up on a platform. Extra expense in purchase (and delivery and tax). You STILL have to lean down to drag the wet clothes out, and it locks you out (as it would have to) so you can never add a last minute item of clothing or extra cleaning product. Now, my start button is beginning to be difficult to press to start the process. AHHH! Well, I am off to read other blogs on other washers. Hubbie says GET ANOTHER WASHER! We have struggled long enough. And the Lowes warranty is expired. I will dismantle this one so that no one can ever get stuck with it.

I got this washer as an open-box deal at a killer price. Note that it requires 240V, so unless you buy the matching dryer, you need to either have an electrician run a 240V outlet to your laundry room or convert your existing 120V outlet to a 240V, which is only possible if it's a dedicated only outlet on the circuit. If it is though, and you feel confident enough to do some basic electric work in the breaker box, the cost for this is $5 for the outlet and face plate and $10 for the double pole breaker and it takes less than 30 minutes (see picture). This washer is extremely quiet, both during wash cycles and when spinning. Compared to the Samsung HE front loader that it replaced, it is much quicker and the clothes come out MUCH MUCH cleaner, especially whites, and without using any bleach or Borax. It also has a higher spin speed than the Samsung, which means the clothes come out dryer and you're saving time and money on drying. Overall, I cannot believe that I put up with the Samsung for as long as I did.

Since I purchased my W&D nearly 3 years ago Ive had repair people called out at my expense twice. Then a couple of weeks ago my washer started leaking at the front-loading door-seal. I called Bosch to see if they would pick up the tab for this third unfortunate event. They would not. The major cost is, of course, the house call. The Bosch Customer Service (joke) rep told me that, at most, they would provide another door seal after I paid a repair person to come and look at the washer and state that it leaked, -- THEN, I must call the repair person back again (my fee, again) to install the seal that BOSCH so generously provided to me (after proof). Only then would I have a washer that twisted my clothes into a knot and annoyed me with constant beeps that I cannot turn off. What is wrong with these companies? Where is customer service? I bought their high end products and put my faith in them to help the environment by using less water and electricity, to the tune of 3X what a regular ol W&D cost. German engineering notwithstanding, I will never buy another Bosch product. I will wash clothes on a rock first!! And ya know what the really sad part is? The nice little Appliance Plus repairman in Surfside said on one of this visits that this was still the best washer and dryer made :(

I had a similar Bosch in a home I purchased in 2015 and I love everything about it. I moved in 2017 and of course purchased another Bosch fridge. This one works well, but it has a feature on the shelves that wastes a huge amount of space and makes the actual useable height of the shelves 1” shorter than the actual height. Somehow I didnt notice it in the store despite looking at it a number of times. It could be that they changed the shelves recently and the store model didnt have the brace across the front of each shelf. Its almost impossible to seein the photos. A tall drink bottle wont fit without angling it and even worse, the upper shelves are only 3 1/4” high instead of 4” high if it didn’t have that weird brace across the front. It make it so that only ver short items can go on that shelf. The bottom shelf in 10’ tall because of the brace, Hill without it, it would be 11 1/8” high. If I can find shelves without the brace, it would be worth it to me to replace these shelves at my own expense because Best Buy won’t do anything about it.

Bosch 500 Series HBE5451UC - From installation forward the oven would not heat up to temperature. We bought it through Sears. I called Sears Repair twice. They just gave me the runaround wanting me to bake various things and keep track of how long they took to bake. Sears was not interested in my problem. Called the Bosch Service line. They gave me the name of and excellent repair service that would drive 60 miles to my home in the mountains. The repair technician evaluated the oven and found it had a bad board, I suppose circuit board. It took 3 visits from the repair tech. The wrong board was first sent. Once the correct board was installed the oven is reaching temperature. However it continues to not bake good evenly. It bakes things faster in the back of the oven than at the front. I have to watch or bread or cake will be burned in the back of the oven while still pale at the front. The baking rails are a real danger. There is only one pair of rails with the oven. I tried to buy a second pair so I could bake 2 pans at a time and they are not available. So, I tried inserting a pan without the rails. It is very dangerous!! You have to be very careful or the pan falls out and would dump its contents on the floor. So, the oven has very limited use with only one usable rack for a pan limiting how much one can back at a time. This is the 3rd wall oven we have had in this cabinet in the 40 years we have lived in the house. It is 34 inches up from the floor. Every time I open the oven it blows hot air into my face fogging my glasses. I have to step back and wait for my glasses to clear before I can check or remove whatever is baking. As a Public Health Nurse I am concerned this oven has too many safety issues and is a menace to the consumer.

This new oven was installed October 14th and has never worked. Bosch factory repair came out and said there were four things wrong with it and that it should be replaced. After a month of calling, emailing and waiting hours upon hours on hold, Bosch said they would not replace it but attempt to fix it. The repairman came again, again stated that it could not be repaired and that the needed panel was backordered. It is now December and the needed part is not going to be available until after the first of the year. Bosch refuses to replace the oven and does not stand behind their product. I would never buy Bosch again. You cannot get a manager on the phone and the call center reps are belligerent.

We purchased a Bosch refrigerator while building our house. By the time we plugged it in we had owned it 6 mos at least. This was in August 2016. By Jan 2017 we began having problems. Ice maker had barely worked from beginning. Then refrigerator part broke right after one yr warranty, even though it had only run 6 mos. $700 in repairs. Now refrigerator began freezing everything. So repairs are over $500. But repairman showed us the part that broke and we put gorilla tape over the air coming out freezing everything until we decided whether to pay another $500 or throw this $3,200 POS in the garbage.

There is a class action attorney interested... Bosch didnt recall their hazardous (bursting into flames!) dishwashers until a suit was filed. Similar issue here with brand new Bosch double convection oven--control panel and knobs became scalding the first time we used it. It took over two hours for the control panel and knobs to cool down. We keep it shut off at the breaker because the technician said it was just a glitch. Bosch told us if the technician says its safe to use your oven its safe to use your oven--but they refuse to warranty any damage to our kitchen (hello--our us!) if theres a future problem. Theyll just replace the oven--I guess after it burns down your kitchen. Make sure you report the problems on Consumer Advocacy site so others can be aware.

My Bosch oven developed a crack in the glass door. Contacted customer services to explain the problem. They arranged for an engineer to call 4 days later between 8 & 5 pm. The engineer did not turn up till after 4.30 pm. He then confirmed a fault but said he could not fix it as he had no part. Checked on his laptop to discover the wrong part had been ordered anyway & was not booked out to any engineer. Proceeded to contact Bosch & was told a repair could not be arranged for another week. This meant I had no oven for two weeks. Really not on. In our sixties & I also provide meals for my elderly neighbour who suffers from Alzheimers. Contacted a person from the company & no help from them. One very dissatisfied customer & doubt I would buy anything again or recommend to friends. Poor after care service.

8 years ago we purchased a top of the line Bosch washer, dryer and super-quiet dishwasher. The washer and dryer have had regular service and small issues until year 4. Then in year 5, the plastic control panel on both washer and dryer began to crack. I have no idea why this happened other than design that did not incorporate enough strength to withstand operational stress. (We used the machines 2 or 3 times a week and did not mistreat them.) Initially this was a small issue and didnt matter. When the cracks needed to be held together to set the programs (duct tape!), I decided to contact Bosch. The service rep was polite, but the experience was unsatisfactory. The machines were out of warranty. Bosch offered a 20% discount on replacement panels, which ran into around $800, plus the installation, which they would not cover. I was shocked because I had equated German engineering with product quality. The dishwasher is OK, wonderfully quiet, but not esp. well designed for US use. I am disappointed in Bosch. The machines have pre-set cycles and are not set up for flexible use; they clean well, although the front loader washer needs to be cleaned once a month or the moldy smell is intolerable. I would guess that these products came to market a little early in the design process. I am writing this review to encourage any prospective Bosch buyers to look at (yes, Im saying this) machines made in the US. Whirlpool and Kenmore have well-reviewed machines with decent warranties (sometimes for added cost).

I love the light at the bottom showing its on because it is so quiet. It has a 3rd shelf, a variety of ways to arrange dishes by either leaving the tines up or down. It seems to be smaller than the older models. Very sleek, hidden controls. The light at the bottom showing it is on almost bleeds across the floor. The lower end model I had before didnt do this, just a red dot. Ive had this one exchanged and it still bleeds all over the floor. Just not up to snuff, like the older, less expensive model was.

My experience has been sooo baddd with Bosch customer service. So, we build our home and one my friend recommend me to get Bosch Appliances so I did. I order my kitchen appliances with bosch back in May. I didnt received my appliances in July so I couldnt do closing on time due to not having my appliances and get inspection done before I moved to my new home. Which I was like okay due to Covid I understand. Here is the worst part. So the day I closed on my home and start using my appliance. Happen to find out that my Microwave and my dishwasher is not working. Brand new out of box. So I called bosch customer service in July the day after I closed on my new house and explained them the both appliances are not working.I was given a number to call for service repair which I did and they told me 3 weeks wait for them to come out due to COVID which again I was okay no problem. Its COVID. Understandable. They came to my house after 3 weeks and told me that they have to order part for microwave and suggested me to call bosch customer to replace it because it would make more sense since he visited cost $1246 this time and next time would be about same and told me that if he doesnt hear back from bosch he will be back in 3 weeks again. So I called Bosch back and explain the whole thing. I was told they made ticket (wrong ticket where they combined microwave and dishwasher) and the rep told me they send the ticket to management to review and will send the replacement.I called after 2 weeks AGAIN and the rep told me that they didnt proper format from the service company so I make three way call and explain them that bosch need special format for exchange. Service provider send it to bosch and bosch rep was like, Yup got it. Since bosch didnt reach out to me or the company the service guy came and said he have to order another part and will be back 2 weeks again. This visit was again $1246. So I called bosch again and find out whats going on and went through the same thing report format is not acceptable by management company. At this point, we paid $2800 for service and I bought this microwave around $1800.00. Didnt understand why bosch didnt see that because he will back again and will cost another $1200.00 so at this point we paid double than what microwave cost. So I called again a week later is same story. They dont have the proper format from the service provider. So here I am stuck with microwave because I can return it anymore since my purchase month was in May and here I am still waiting for bosch management to review in End Of August. The worst customer service ever. I called them more than 10 times since July to August and stayed on the phone for more than 2 hours going around and around. Every time I called my phone timed was more than 2 hours.

We recently purchased this fridge/freezer KGV36VW32G. There are several issues: 1. The manual is very poor with lots of words but very little information, for example the freezer temperature is controlled by the fridge settings so how do we know what the freezer temperature is? 2. The outer skin is very flimsy. Already got a dent on the door with normal use. 3. The LED light cannot illuminate the inside of the fridge when the fridge has produce in it as the light is badly situated. 4. The doors are difficult to close and have to be pushed quite hard to make a seal. 5. Coupled with 4 above there is no alarm if the doors are not closed. Already lead to one freezer defrost. 6. The ice cube tray and egg rack supplied are not fit for purpose. Ice cube tray too small and lid did not fit after one use, the egg rack is too small and only holds 4 eggs. 7. Generally the appliance is of poor quality and not good value for money.

Our old dishwasher pump failed after 17 years, so we decided to replace the dishwasher. I spent a lot of time investigating different appliances, and we decided to go with a Bosch. It hasnt turned out so well. First, we had constant horrible smells coming from inside the dishwasher. We contacted Bosch, but they didnt advise of any fixes. We saw on the internet that this was a common issue with Bosch (after we owned it). We did finally find a solution by changing the location of the drain line and where it ties in to the garbage disposal. I would have thought Bosch could have offered that fix, but they didnt. The second event has been disastrous. Theres a valve on the bottom of the dishwasher, not sure if it is the drain discharge valve or a water inlet valve. We wont know until the repair person that Bosch is sending takes a look. We accidentally discovered that the valve has failed and is leaking (again, we are seeing this complaint on the internet now). This valve failure has ruined our hardwood floors as well as the finished ceiling in the room below. We wont know how extensive the damage is or if mold is present until we pull up the hardwood floor. We are guessing that theres thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to remove and replace the floor and the ceiling below. I have no idea what mold remediation cost could be if we discover theres mold. I thought I was getting a high end appliance that would be trouble free. I would have saved money by replacing the pump in the old dishwasher. Since this seems to be a common problem, Im surprised that Bosch didnt contact us to replace this valve versus allowing a faulty part to ruin our home. Bosch has opened a claim for us and is sending a person by to inspect. We will see how good their customer service is with regard to this issue. More to follow.
