I purchased a Dacor Renaissance range for our new home. What a waste of money. Though I have not had any major problems with the performance of the range yet, besides uneven baking, the design is not user-friendly. To begin with, the gas burners share a grate. So when cleaning, you have to remove the whole grate on one side. The controls for the burners & griddle are very hard to see & I have to bend over to see which burner Im turning on. The oven racks are a joke. The two glide racks are very bulky with sharp edges. It is difficult to change the heights or to remove them for cleaning purposes. Though there are three racks included, it is impossible to bake with all three in the oven.I have a GE Monogram that I had purchased two years ago for another home, and I love it The Renaissance & Monogram are similar in price, but I unfortunately, listened to the sales person & let them talk me into the Renaissance. I realized my mistake in buying a Dacor immediately & contacted the appliance store. Even though the Renaissance had not been used, they would only give me a token amount of money towards trading it in for a Monogram. So, I am stuck with a range that causes me to swear under my breath every time I use it. Dacor could learn a lot from GE.

This fridge is great. We visit warehouse stores for groceries and everything fits perfectly. The shelves can move for tall items or more bulky ones. The freezer is large and can fit so many different items. My 2 other favorite things are the fresh drawer and auto refill water pitcher. The fresh drawer temp can be adjusted and can fit anything from wine to a cake to cheeses and meats. And an auto fill pitcher keeps the water super cold and you never have to worry about someone forgetting to fill it back up.

Dacor refuses to take responsibility for defects in their products. Our wall oven required two cooling fan motors and two relay boards over a relatively short period of time. In addition, all of the sensors had to be hard wired when the oven stopped working, and our service technician was informed by Dacor that moisture tended to get into the sensors on these ovens. We spent nearly $1500 on these repairs. Reaching a customer care representative at Dacor can take upwards of 20 minutes. Phone calls are not returned. Customers are left to pay the cost of defects in Dacor products.

Purchased a Dacor freezer. Freezer does not come with outer panel. Understandably, because you can choose to put your own custom panel on or order one from Dacor. Found out Dacor was bought by Samsung, a few years ago. So I decided to order a Stainless steel door from Dacor. One of Dacors reps suggested I order from J@J international. I placed order and two days later they called back saying they cannot ship door to me UPS nor FedEx will ship it. They refunded my money, so I reordered from someone else. Got ss panel toe kick and handle. Opened box only to find out no hardware, brackets ss trim for sides screws and so forth. I assumed mounting hardware would be with door. So began the part search for parts. Come to find out Samsung changed Dacors part #s. Vendors who sell the parts could not come up with parts or told me not available. Reliable parts agent told me this. I was told they should have come with freezer. Meanwhile called back Dacor to someone who specializes in dealing with these issues. She took over 45 minutes of my time giving me the impression she was gonna resolve the issue. She finally said we have the parts and inferred that I must have not talked to reliable parts. I assured her I did. She continued to refute what I told her. I have been right at two months trying to get freezer door installed. I called an Appliance dealer in Salisbury Md. to get assistance. He told me when Samsung bought Dacor he dropped line. I now see why. It has been the worst experience I have had with a company that has absolutely done nothing but appear to be concerned and say they are sorry but do nothing. It looks like it will be another 750.00 to get a couple little trims and brackets and a few screws. If I had it to do over I would never have gone down this road. This has been a two month old nightmare that is still going on. Best advice I can give is steer clear of Dacor/Samsung. Was going to buy matching column refrigerator. Not now.

Updated on 06/14/2021: We placed a review about a month ago about a defective range. The company contacted us, took some information, but we have not heard from them since. It seems they just wanted an appearance of willingness to help but do not intend to help. After spending almost $4000 on a stove you would think it would last more than a few years before the motherboard malfunctioned. Dacor has provided no help. Very poor customer service and an extreme disappointment.Original Review: We bought our Dacor range for 3800$ in 2017. The self clean function did not work due to a defective locking mechanism. We had that repaired. Starting in 2019, the bake cycle was not heating up to set temperature. We followed recalibrate instructions. Then, the temperature went over the desired setting. I’ve tried adjusting baking times to deal with the problem. Convection bake started having temperatures above the set temperature.Several months ago we called for repair. The service technician tested the sensor and said it was fine. He stated that it was the motherboard which would cost $1200 to replace with parts and labor. That’s a lot of money to put into a high end stove that cost $3800 to begin with and is only 3 years old! We’ve had Frigidaire stoves that lasted 15+ years. This continues to be a problem. Unfortunately, we may have to replace this stove with Viking or Wolf. This is totally unacceptable considering the initial cost of the stove and the fact that Dacor markets their products to be long lasting and reliable. Never will I buy Dacor products again.

I wish we had seen these reviews before we spent 6k on an oven and cooktop. Ordered cooktop and oven in November. Custom color over to match cabinets, still have not received oven (were at the 8 week maximum wait time already). Cooktop appeared fine when we received, but when we went to install, noticed something rattling inside. Looking through vent, noticed several broken interior pieces moving around. Contacted Dacor 3 weeks ago for a replacement or repair, and still nothing. They made us go through dealer, and last week told dealer we refused service. Ridiculous! Now they are telling dealer they cant find a servicer nearby. Am considering declining payment through credit card company for their lack of follow through and service, and let them come get their unit.

We have owned our dual-fuel Dacor stove for about four years. We purchased this stove because we needed a down-vent - this is how our kitchen was already configured. We had only the Dacor or Jenn-Air stoves as choices and went with the Dacor. I have been thoroughly pleased. Everything works consistently including the self-cleaning feature. Prior to this stove, we had a Thermador which was expensive and NEVER worked consistently. One feature or another was always on the brink. The Dacor is such a relief. And good looking, too.

We purchased a very expensive Dacor double convection oven about 15 years ago. This was based on recommendations from friends who do a lot of cooking like we do, and the mistaken thought that this US company would be more inclined to support any future problem. We now have a problem with the control panel. Dacors only response is that they do not make the part anymore and cannot help us remedy the problem. They even had the nerve to say that they would give us 10% off a new one. Except for the annoying buzzer sound, the stove works well. Buying a new one is a financial burden we never expected or want to accept. We are telling all of our friends to stay away from this manufacturer. I wish I did not have to give Dacor any stars.

We bought a whole new kitchen's worth of Dacor appliances - the Modernist line. It's too soon to review their performance, but so far they work well and look fabulous. Most importantly, I had an issue registering my appliances for warranty. I sent an email and not only did they resolve all my issues, registered everything for me, they also notified me I was eligible for an extended free warranty program, and they set it all up for me without any effort on my part. I wouldn't have even known if they hadn't done it for me. So far, I'd say that they have stellar customer service. When researching online before making the choice to go with Dacor, I had trouble finding information and reviews. I wanted to make sure and share my good experience since all too often people only share when they have had a negative one. I hope this is helpful to someone looking to buy!

Years ago I purchased the Dacor Double Oven over a Thermador because the Thermador had a ridiculously long pre-heat time. The Dacor has performed reasonably well as a oven particularly in convection-bake mode. But over time, components started failing and repair parts were hard to find, unavailable or ridiculously overpriced. I am an an engineer with DIY skills honed from years working with high tech food manufacturing equipment and controls including ovens. In recent years, I have needed to replace a relay board, the main control board, hinges two times, and most recently the hinge receptacles. I have also replaced an inner panel on a door assembly. Just think what such repairs would have cost for an average consumer. I understand the parts can fail, but Dacor has shown little regard for consumers in my opinion. They have done very little to maintain an inventory of repair parts. Basically their message is that the part is now obsolete and unavailable. Thats some answer when the price of a new double oven is multiple thousands. Recently, the hinges on my upper oven failed again. As they failed, their failure caused increased wear on the hinge receptacles. Soon the receptacles failed as well. I was able to find hinges at a ridiculously high price but the receptacles were unavailable anywhere. I contacted a several parts suppliers who told me that they had no idea when the parts would be available. Moreover at least two of the suppliers mentioned that they had a backlog of orders for the receptacles - one had a backlog of over thirty. Yikes!. At that point I contacted Dacor customer service and asked what could I do to get the part. Answer: The part is unavailable and we have no estimate on when it will be available. I tried to escalate my request and got nowhere. Finally after many hours of online searching, I found one set of the hinge receptacles at a price 4X last years price. Lastly as I replaced the receptacles today, I realized that the mounting screws only hold one portion of the U shaped mount. If the screws were longer, the receptacle would be less prone to twisting and wear. Be aware that Dacor was sold to Samsung a few years back. Based on my experience, I could never recommend Dacor. Caveat Emptor!

We moved in our new home in June 2019. We had purchased 2 Dacor dishwashers, 2 ovens, a gas cooktop and a microwave. All the appliances are beautiful. That said, both of our dishwashers leaked so bad we had to stop using them as they were damaging our wood cabinets and floor. Dacor sent service persons out after multiple calls and replaced the seals, but they still leaked. Our cabinet company that sold the Dacor appliances stepped up and replaced them both with Bosch dishwashers. Our Dacor Refrigerator went out in mid February and will not cool anymore. After 2 hours on the phone with a Dacor representative, we finally were able to schedule a service person to come out a week later (Dacor has very few support companies so dont plan on anything happening too soon when there is a problem). Was not able to repair the fridge and said it could be another two weeks to get the part and return. That said our service person is a great guy and cares, but has to rely and wait on Dacor for responses and parts. Our ovens take twice as long to cook as any other oven we have ever had. We are asking them to look into that as well. Overall, very disappointed. We understand having problems, but expect Dacor customer service would be much better and support their own field service persons and clients or at least act like they care. Not looking forward to calling them back to see why we need to be without a fridge for 3-4 weeks total....

This is the second time I have purchased these appliances and unfortunately each one has been a great disappointment. I have spent enough in repair bills to almost purchase a warming drawer. Each one shuts down when the self clean button is turned on, and then I have to call a repairman out to recalibrate the oven to work each time I try to use the self clean. I was told by the last repairman that the life of the oven is greatly shortened if you the self clean mode. If this is the case, either fix it or take out this mode. After I had the oven about a year the oven door glass blew out, and this had to be replaced. The temperature in the oven is very unreliable in different areas of the oven and browns more on one side than the other... For the high end cost of these ovens, I would just as soon have a basic oven that works and does not go out every few months. What a waste of money I consider Dacor to be, and will never recommend it to anyone I know. I am in the personal shopping business and have my own company, but will tell my clients to be very aware of the high cost/low performance of Dacor products... On a scale of 1 to 10, Dacor gets a 1.

Warning: Warning, safety hazzard for all, adults and children. Recommendation: The knobs should be set on the top of the stove, not the front where children can reach. Control knobs should click when fire and gas is turned off, and highest flame setting should be at the end of the turn just like a clock. I inherited this range as new owner of the house. Today I used the high flame option of the gas stove. When I was done with cooking, I turned off the gas according to the knob position, front of the turn. Later I discovered the range was not exactly off. It was still hot but no flame could be seen.I checked by sight the control knob position, it was set incorrectly in off. Then I touched it and realized the knob actually has a bit more to go to the end, slightly before the off position. Therefore it continues to release gas with unobservable flame. This knob does not click when user turns it to the off position. It is just a silent knob with an inaccurate cue of a heavier black line for off and on indication. Besides, high flame setting comes at the beginning of the turn of the knob rather than the end, it is counter intuitive to our mind of increase heat by turning the knob further on, like our clock. Oven racks are hard to put back after cleaning. Once a rack almost tumble out while food was sitting on it.

We did a full reno on our house starting in 2018. With a brand new kitchen we felt higher end appliances would help finish it off nicely. We settled on Dacor from our appliance dealer due to the look a past history of great reviews. Had we known that the original Dacor no longer existed and it was now Samsung with Dacor nameplate we never would have bought them. We have had 15+ service calls for the fridge and oven. Oven didnt work from day one and required multiple board changes. The interior is not level so you cant bake a cake and the racks are impossible to remove without bending the rails. It just failed again last night just as the warranty expired. The call center is in the Caribbean so dont expect any help from customer service. The ice maker with the fridge is a continual problem so we had to buy an $100 ice maker that now sits on our counter full time. These appliances have a high end price tag but are not high end!

As I have read in most of the reviews, we have also experienced the control panel on our 30 inch dual range cracking over the years. We were told not to replace it because it would continue to happen. Ok, lived with that... Now something new has started to happen, the plastic handle on the oven door and surrounding area has started to melt. It got so bad after a self clean that it is collapsing. Now there isn’t much of a seal at all when the door closes. The stove isn’t brand new, but this has to be a fire hazard, and consequently, now the oven will not even turn on. Purchased Dacor Induction Range w Convection Oven RR30NIS-C in October 2013 and LOVE this range. Accidentally broke the glass on the induction cooktop with falling object mid-March 2020. Only the glass is broken, and all other electronics, induction burners, oven, etc are functioning fine. Called Dacor support to acquire part number for a glass top for repair - obtained part number #701751 superseded by #702285, BUT was informed that the part had been discontinued and is no longer being manufactured or kept in stock. No other advice was given other than to discard the entire $6000 range. Multiple phone calls with service.I asked for a listing of third party part distributors and was referred to four distributors on the Dacor public website and given no other info. I called all web-based third-party distributors I could find in USA and Canada to see if anyone had the part in stock, with no luck. I contacted two technicians to see if they would be able to obtain the part through their channels, with no luck. I am an engineer, so I spent some time pouring over technical manuals trying to find a solution to replace the entire induction range cooktop assembly (top part of the range) with a later model, and although its possible, Dacor would not provide the ability to purchase an RNR30NI range cooktop assembly that could be fit into the existing housing on top of the range. The convection oven is completely fine, and I cannot believe that Dacor has given me no other option but to pitch a six-year-old $6000 range because they stopped manufacturing one fragile part made of glass. I would imagine that many consumers may be in the same position as I, as these cooktops are breakable, and accidents happen. I have reached out to Dacor support desk numerous times without resolution, and I am at my wits end with a $6000 boat anchor in my kitchen. What a waste of money! Poorly done Dacor!I would like Dacor to provide me with some sort of solution whether it be the part required to fix my induction cooktop, or a replacement Induction Range with convection oven, or reimbursement of the purchase price so I can obtain a replacement on my own. If I am not able to find a solution to repair my range, I will never buy from Dacor again! Dacor will discontinue easily broken parts without warning! You may spend thousands of dollars and not be able to repair your appliance after warranty expires!

Wow! I wish I had read this website before we built our house 3 years ago. I have a 5 burner Dacor cook-top that has been nothing but trouble since day one! I have 5 different appliance brands in my kitchen and the Dacor is the only one that has caused continuous problems. I was so mad at the repair man today I hung up on him (poor guy, I see now Dacor is the problem). The cook-top has exploded three times. ow when I say exploded, I am not joking at all. I mean the explosion blew the cook-top up and burners off, blew the cabinet doors underneath open, flames shot out and the house shook. One of the times, my one year old son was standing next to it. I was so upset I ran into the other room with him and sat on the floor and we both cried. It was terrifying! I have had a repair man here 6 times over the last 5-ish weeks (Yes, I didnt have a stove over Thanksgiving and I was the host; its not looking good for Christmas either and we have 4 kids). They have replaced, cleaned and fixed everything possible. They then pointed the finger numerous times at the propane company (which they now have determined it is not a propane problem for sure). Today the repair company called me (by the way, they have been constant contact with their Decor rep Rob about the problems) and said they are done. My expensive 3 year old cook top is not repairable. They have exhausted every possibility. They have been here 6 times and the propane company three times. I have a hole in my granite counter top cut specifically for the cook-top and am told that every cook-top is a different size so I do not know what I am going to do. I called Dacor today and asked to speak to someone who could help me to no avail. I then asked for someone (anyone) to call me back today. You guessed it. Theres been no call back. This is getting really old. How many weeks does this need to go on (dont answer that)? Another problem that I have just lived with is that the stove continually clicks for quite a while after you are cooking. I was told to clean it a certain way. I did that and it didnt work. The repair man did it; it didnt work. The repair man said something was loose inside and tightened it. It still didnt work. I guess I could live with the click. It is the explosions that I need fixed.

Today the door glass has cracked. Whooppee! Merry Christmas! Each time I called about the bezel, I was told that they had a design flaw. The last time we had to replace the bezel and also pay for installation ourselves. We decided if this happened again, we would get rid of it. I purchase a home with a Dacor double oven. Unfortunately the oven begins transmitting multiple beeps and the touch panel will sometimes read off after beeping a while. I contacted the staff at Dacor requesting a service manual. They refused to send me a service manual and stated that only authorized technicians can service their equipment. Its obvious they used google or a local phone book and sent me contacts of appliance repair shops in my area. When I called, they had never heard of Dacor let alone be factory authorized. I called Appliance repair shops up to 50 miles away to find there were no Dacor Dealers. I found one 70 miles away but it was too far to send a technician. If I remove my oven from the wall and take it there they would attempt to look at it. I had to reverse engineer the thing to find that my touch panel has gone bad and now I cannot find a used one. I want to recommend that anyone considering an appliance DO NOT PURCHASE A DACOR! If you are looking for high end stick to SubZero / Wolf. Oddly enough I see that there hasnt been any reviews for the past 5 years. Maybe it appears people have stopped buying Dacor appliances.

I wound up slicing the roast and cooking it on the griddle; my hungry guests were getting restless. Then I tracked the oven heat for an entire day with an oven thermometer. The oven would come up to temperature and then cool off. I sent these numbers to Dacor and asked customer service for an explanation. Believe it or not, the conversation was--Dacor: The temperature is going down because the fan is coming on. Youre not supposed to use the Bake setting, but only the Convection Bake or Pure Convection. Me: Why is the Bake button there, then? Dacor: Were taking it out in the next production run. (This hasnt happened. My sister-in-law bought a Dacor last year before I could warn her and the button is still there.) Also, after using the self-clean one time, I noticed a crack on the inside of the oven door, starting in the corner of the window. The inside of the window is now permanently spotted with baked-on grease. Now my oven does not work at all. The repairman says that the circuit board needs to be replaced, and if Im lucky, it will work for a couple of years. The repair will cost around $700 including labor. The repairman told me that some repairmen in our area will not even work on Dacors because there are so many problems. Im considering replacing the stove... a very expensive mistake. Beware of Dacor products.

Talked into spending $4700 on a wall oven on the recommendation of an appliance retailer. My concern was even baking and reliability. Was told I would be very happy as Dacor was best on the market. Well long story short, it never cooked evenly and after 8 years quit working. Had to lug the heavy oven to the city to an approved service provider. They thought it was the relay board (told the brains of the oven). Service provider changed several things (sensors, board and whatever else). Nothing solved problem. Phoned me and said I was looking at minimum $2000 and up. He threw oven in garbage. We didn’t even send the gas money to bring the dud home.Thought it should last longer than 8 years. I phoned Dacor. They wanted to know exactly what the problem and diagnosis was so I told them to phone the Service Provider. Said they would but I had to email copy of receipt which I did. A couple of months gone by and never heard a thing and they are not responding to my emails. DO NOT RECOMMEND DACOR.

Don’t purchase Dacor appliance - it’s been worst purchase experience ever and I am extremely disappointed. After six months since I purchased the Dacor built-in refrigerator, Dacor couldn’t even ship the proper installation parts and my refrigerator is still not working. Problems:1. Their high end $11K Dacor built-in refrigerator cannot even be installed. Wasted five months communicating with both Dacor and the retailer AppliancesConnection. After five months they were still able to ship the proper missing installation parts. Over the past five months, I talked to six different team members in Dacor customer support team, escalated to customer support lead and also talked to their regional technical manager, none of them is able to solve my problem and ship the right installation parts.a) Their process is extremely messy. Their customer support team had no idea about installation requirement of the refrigerator. And the request from their customer support team is declined by their internal Parts department again and again, only to find out installation parts should’ve shipped by the retailer. This is extremely confusing now and no one in the team seems to understand the right process.b) After Dacor acquired by Samsung, their manufacturing process is very messy and parts are extremely confusing. There’s one version of required installation parts in Dacor manual and one version of Samsung parts in the Parts guide, and no one in the team seems to understand the difference and how to map from one to another (they insist on sending me Samsung parts instead, claiming they’re compatible). I am now the expert myself to understand all their parts and able to identify many problems in their manual.2. As a high end brand, Dacor doesn’t seem to care about their customer at all. As a customer who did kitchen remodeling and had no refrigerator to use for five months, no one in the team seems to care about their brand or their customers. With this huge gap in the process, no one thinks about the problem from their customer’s perspective or shared empathy with me. Dacor as a brand is really bad and I am extremely disappointed in both their product and services.

We did a complete kitchen remodel 2 years ago. My husband talked me into purchasing american made over the Bosch products that I preferred. This has been a horrible experience. The dishwasher does not clean. I was told to prime the water and purchase the higher end platinum packs. That did not work, then it was add lemi shine. That has not worked. The water never completely drains, ugh old water. A service tech could not tell me where the rinse aid indicator light was and insisted mine did not come with one! Microwave does not heat in an adequate time. All listed times I have to double time if not more. I was told to put a Rubbermaid container over the food product to insulate the waves... ha! Oven does not regulate heat. when I go to increase the heat during stated recipe, the screen always say 50 even though I would have it at 375. I was told it always will revert back to 350, really. I had all Kenmore appliances prior to the Dacor and never had a problem... Do not buy, I wish I hadnt. We are filing this with BBB and headed to small claims court.. This should be fun. I hope Dacor sees this.

I purchased this upgrade to my kitchen renovation. The stainless steel stove has a great look, but that is all it has. This is my third repair (with much difficulty). The same problem - the bake ignitor goes bad and sends gas smells throughout the kitchen. On Christmas day, after preheating the oven, I opened the oven door and the inside was one large flame. The heat was intense and my right arm got hot from the heat. I immediately closed the oven and cancelled the bake setting. When I called Dacor the following morning, I thought I was talking with a robot. No emotions, no sense of caring. They must be programmed. I got no satisfaction. I said, Do you understand? My stove went on fire and on Christmas day. My family was not sure if they should leave my house. I am extremely disappointed with Dacor.

We bought a new house a couple years ago, and the kitchen came with a suite of new Dacor appliances - range, fridge, and dishwasher. They are all terrible. The led indicator on the dishwasher is scrambled. The icemaker in the fridge clogs up into a solid block of ice. We had this fixed, which involved a new control board and some caulking, but the problem returned not long after. The knobs on the range feel like theyll snap off any time. The lights in the oven arent seated properly and they interfere with the oven racks. It takes forever to get up to temperature. And Im starting to think I have a gas leak. How can these products be so expensive and such utter garbage? Oh, but they have wifi!

If anyone else has this experience with Dacor ovens, we need to have a class action suit against Dacor! While baking Christmas cookies this week with my grandchildren, my ovens stopped working and started beeping. The error code was F3. I was able to get a technician rather quickly who diagnosed the problem as a failure of the control board which affected both ovens. The replacement part was discontinued from production in 2011. My ovens are 12 years old and cost over $4,000 at the time. What a pickle I was in a week before family coming for Christmas dinner! The technician said my only recourse was to send the control board to a refurbisher and he did not know when the board would be fixed - all for a whopping costs of over $600.00! I find it unacceptable that Dacor discontinues a control board and forces the consumer to either buy new ovens or pay the cost of a refurbished part that I hope will work. After spending thousands of dollars, how does this happen? What can be done so the consumers who purchase appliances with good intentions are protected from manufacturers that dont stand behind their products? DACOR I NEED ANSWERS!!

Dacor EO227SCH - double wall oven. Installed all Dacor appliances when we did a kitchen renovation in 2008. Stove top, Micro Wave and Warming Drawer each have been excellent. Ovens have been a nightmare. Dacor would not honor warranty 7 days after it expired. Had no less than a dozen service calls in first 3 years. Ovens conveniently have problems around holidays. Example: lower oven quit working two days before this Thanksgiving - last week! Paid a high price to get Dacor and have paid thousands and spent countless hours on service calls since. Am totally dissatisfied with Dacor products and the companys refusal to stand behind its product. I tell everyone who is contemplating Dacor not to. Did it today with a couple who signed a contract for a $1M home in N Atlanta. Builder specified Dacor and I strongly advised against it. Homebuilder is now looking at other options.

We purchased our second Dacor microwave. When received there was a defect on the stainless front panel which we reported to Dacor (now owned by Samsung). They took claim information and we were referred to their service provider. A Samsung inspector subsequently visited our home and got approval from his superior. We were told the panel had been ordered. Two follow up calls revealed that there was a problem and we were referred back to Dacor only to learn the claim was overruled and denied. A subsequent appeal was made to no avail. Our warning is that Dacor repairs are very expensive and they do not back up their service warranties. Buyer beware.

We remodeled, added a very upscale kitchen in 2003, and chose Dacor appliances, 36 inch dual fuel stove, 30 inch wall oven, microwave, and a 30 inch dishwasher, well over $25000 worth. NONE of the appliances has worked properly, but the dishwasher has taken the cake. I have lost count on how many times I was in contact with the customer service. The digital board went bad, the error msgs kept coming for years! The racks/baskets rusted after just a couple of years! After numerous encounters with anybody I could get a hold of they were finally replaced, but not the right racks because they do not fit, falls off the side every time I use this dishwasher. I cannot tell you how frustrating this has been! I was eventually told that I could not complain anymore because I was out of warranty and they would not respond anymore! I am stuck with this $3000+ dishwasher that I cannot afford to replace, because I would have to rebuild that area of counter cabs in the kitchen! The service has been horrible. This was the most costly mistake purchase I have ever made.

We bought the Dacor Wall Oven (ECS136SCH) in 2006 during a complete kitchen remodel. In 2009, the relay board was replaced twice. The first time, it was over $500 to replace. The second time, it was covered under the parts warranty when a terminal was bad. Now, I need another relay board and a new element which will cost over $700 to replace. For an oven that was originally over $3000, this is not acceptable, but what other choice do I have? The technician told me that Dacor has the worst mark up for replacement parts. I thought I had done my research and found that Dacor had a good product. I guess I was wrong.

We did a complete kitchen remodel in 2007. I wanted top of the line appliances, and I liked the look of Dacor. I spent over $10,000 on a refrigerator, oversize dishwasher, microwave oven and a warming oven... (I know). Within 16 months, everything started to fall apart. Of course it was over the one year’s mark so there was no replacing of the units on the manufacturers part. I have since replaced the motherboard on the dishwasher twice... total of 3K in repairs! I cant replace the dishwasher because it was oversized and we built our cabinets around it and no other company sell an oversized dishwasher. I have replaced the microwave oven with another one that looks just like it because for some reason it fried. The refrigerator constantly rattles and my husband and I are at our wits end because of it. The only thing that hasnt fell apart yet is the warming oven. Probably because we dont use it. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Its a total waste of money. Next time Im buying Kenmore. My old Kenmore is sitting out in the garage being a good and faithful second fridge.

Checking the turkey, the temp. was at 500 degrees and on broil. I burned holes in my oven mitts on the roaster taking it out. Even though I set the temp. at 325 convection roast, it reset itself to 500 broil. Nothing works except the clock. Called repair guy after the holidays. Said it is a control panel behind the keypad area. Ordered the part. Been waiting 4 months now for this part. Now, no Easter dinner either. After reading these complaints, I am worried that this part replacement may not be the end of it.

We did a major remodel in 2006 and were talked into Dacor Appliances by the kitchen planner. Big Mistake! The first time we tried to do the wall oven self-cleaning, the circuit board blew out. Since it was just past warranty and no one near us in West Virginia would work on it, I found a board online for $200.00 and replaced it. It has never heated evenly and now it wont heat past 350 F and maintain temp. The Dacor range hood sounds like a jet plane and the variable speed switch wont reduce rate. The bulbs burned out and after buying two online for $30 each, I removed the decorative housing and use a more standard $10 bulb. The Dacor gas cooktop is OK except that EVERY time you turn on a burner, one or two of other igniters start clicking and wont stop until you find which one it is (not always the same) and turn it on and off. Please heed this and all the other warnings from the choir. DO NOT BUY DACOR! It is all very expensive junk! I only gave it 1 star because there was no way to rate Dacor a zero!

This is a follow-up to my initial complaint, which was posted on November 28, 2011, and an updated posting on December 27, concerning problems with our Dacor range. What we learned was that the local appliance shop that services Dacor quit working on Dacor appliances, so we were left with no repair company. We were contacted by the customer service representative from Dacor, who has been very diligent in working with us to find a solution.Yesterday, the Dacor regional service supervisor from Washington came to Casper to work on our oven, which is now totally functional. Pretty amazing customer service! He did share with us Dacors challenges in getting qualified local service companies, especially in smaller towns. I bought a Dacor appliance package for a new custom home which costs over $30K+. Every single piece of appliance is defective. I am OK as long as Dacor can fix or address the issues but it takes them several visits, put the appliance out of order and fixing it does not happen any earlier than 8-10 Weeks. Imagine you living with a fridge, microwave, range and oven for 10+ weeks. The column freezer stops making ice. I call for service and tech informs the lever was jam and he fixed it. Wait 48 hours. After 48 hours still no ice. Another call and after a wait of 3 weeks another visit and diagnose need new part. Wait for part 4+ weeks and another 3+ weeks for replacement. Fridge does not cool and maintains temp 45 degree+. Service tech showed up 3 times and promised it is fixed. Have thrown out thousands of dollars worth food. To date I dont have it fixed. Waiting for a part, tech not available scheduling issues etc. To date I have been out of fridge (8/12/2021) 9 weeks from I made the first call. Currently I have a tech scheduled for 9/1/21.This is not the end. Microwave will run normally and wont heat the food. After several phone call and waiting they figured the door pin was not connecting properly and need parts to fix. After 10+ MONTHS it looks like it is fixed. The range control panel is hanging from underneath and no one seems to care to fix it. Every time I call they tell me its normal. I believe Dacor has not QA/QC in place prior to shipping the appliances to customer. Worst experience ever. If you need more details do not hesitate to call me on **. I hope you run away from Dacor. Dont even consider this option. I have a track of all phone call and email and timeline with Dacor service. I am planning to file a lawsuit and recoup some of the costs and losses.

I completed a 7-month total remodel of our kitchen and family room, which were connected in November 2007. The kitchen remodel cost $18,000 for various Dacor appliances including the Millenia series of wall oven MOV130S; warming drawer MWDV30; and 42 island hood DHI42130. The remaining includes the huge 30 Epicure dishwasher ED30SCP, 36 cooktop EG366SCH, and beverage center EF24LBCSS. All have the beautiful copper accent package and make for highly attractive appliances. We constantly receive accolades for them. If only they werent absolute garbage functionally and reliability-wise. Others have remarked how the ignitors on the cooktop continually spark, even after the light off. After contacting Dacor and waiting 2 weeks for the repair, for which Dacor sent the wrong part and caused another 2-week delay, the repairman had to rip off the front accent lip of the cooktop to reach the base which significantly dented the front lip. The ignitor worked like a champ for 2 days, then click, click, click - constant ignitions. So I cleaned around the ignitor tip with 409, dried it and it worked flawlessly. Thanks Dacor for your own product ignorance and my now dented cooktop. It has worked well since and is a sound product, so far. If only my luck held out.Next, the wall oven. Very beautiful and my control panel has held out (fingers faithlessly crossed). The oven isnt calibrated though, so follow cooking directions at your own risk. This oven will burn your food if you set the temp and timer to the recommended settings. I have to take off 25-50 degrees and 5-10 minutes of requested cook time or I will smoke any meal. After 2 years of use, I decided to use the cleaning cycle - following the directions to the letter. Forty five minutes into the cycle and kaboo! The front window shattered. Dacor says $700+ for glass replacement; I say send me the part and Ill do it. I got the discounted part for $68; spent 3 hours cleaning and reassembling with care; and the window has held, but I havent tried the cleaning cycle since. Why roll the dice again?Ah, now my fave garbage Dacor appliance - the interminable dishwasher. Truly engineered by the diabolical. I just completed my fourth major repair after 5 years of use. First, the drain valve failed after a few months of use causing flood and was replaced under warranty. Then the door seal failed (more flooding) and was also repaired and replaced under warranty. The dishwasher stinks, by the way, as the unit cannot evaporate effectively during drying cycle due to ridiculously poor rear venting design. So I have to leave the door wide open for hours after use to facilitate drying and stench reduction. The control panel/circuit board has fried twice now in the last 3 years - it just starts erratically beeping and refuses to take input, even with a power reset. Both technicians stated the design and quality of the board is third world, which likely is exactly where Dacor outsourced the garbage. The island hood and warming drawer have worked well, and the beverage center has been reliable but maddeningly causes back left cans of soda to freeze and explode occasionally; even with the set temperature raised to now 45 degrees. Fun to clean up after coming home from a long trip. My expectations are so laughingly low now for these Dacor products that I dont bat an eye with the frozen soda muck this fridge occasionally produces. Customer service though has been helpful and thankfully, American. They have replaced both circuit boards for free well out of warranty. I have only appreciation and great sympathy for the customer service folks who Ive spoken with. I love my kitchen, but hate the appliances in it. Never again Dacor. Never again.

The appliance repair company has been to our home approximately five times in the five weeks since we moved in. Initially, the problem was with a leak in the cooling system which took the technicians about 16 hours over three visits and $1,400 to sort out. Currently, we have been without a visit from the techs in two weeks (our longest stretch since moving in) and the refrigerator is leaking from the ice dispenser and making a motorized noise so loud. Since November of 2014 and longer I have been fighting for service or answers or at least honesty! The ovens have never worked properly, they do not keep temperature. The oven temperature drops 60 to 75 degrees while cooking over a couple hours. The control board was replaced. Still the ovens never worked. If you like to cook and cook for the bed and breakfast, which is why you bought an oven like this, you will have your ovens on for a couples hours preparing any multi-dish meal! I was treated rudely on the phone during routine troubleshooting and was never allowed to speak to a manager. We remodeled our kitchen less than 5 years ago. As we have owned restaurants in the past, we wanted commercial quality appliances. I was looking at Sub-Zero and Viking or Wolf. Unfortunately I took my Home Center convince me to purchase A Dacor package. That was a mistake. Even though these appliances cost as much as the those brands, the quality is not even close. After spending $22,000 on appliances I have quickly discovered that these appliances are junk. First the microwave began to arc and nearly caught fire. Even when they installed my cooktop. I noticed that the burners in the middle were marked incorrectly and the blue LED indicating the burners are on was burnt out. After only a few years, now my ovens are not working. And right before Thanksgiving I am without ovens. My old ovens were almost 50 years old and worked fine. These $6000 plus ovens are not even 5 years old and are down. I am kicking myself for not going with my original plan. If you are considering Dacor, I would not recommend.

We purchased a Dacor Double Wall Oven in late November of 2019. I liked the oven and it functioned well until October of 2020 when the oven quit working due to a control panel issue. We were told the part was on back order. I continued to check with Dacor customer service and was continually told the same thing -- it was on back order. Never once did they call me to give me an update. In December of 2020 when I called I was told there was an update. The part was no longer on back order it was no longer in production, they no longer make the part. They would review the file to see if they were going to give me credit for the oven or get me a new oven. I contacted them again today and was told it was still under review and it could take them another couple of weeks to decide what to do. I asked to speak with a supervisor but was told that there was not one available. The person I spoke with today said that she would call me next week to give me an update. I appreciate her concern but that does not get me closer to a working oven. I would not recommend Dacor to anyone, customer service is terrible.

DCT305SNGH - I have owned this stove for about 3 years already. From the very beginning it has been trouble. The lights that turn on when a burner is on broke immediately. The place where the gas comes out and ignites is black and hard to clean. The grates are rusty, the finish has come off. The indicator knobs dont reflect what is happening in other words if it is on the lowest setting you dont have any indicator marking. It is hard to clean and scratches very easily. I have had the service person out about 5 times until they decided to send me many new parts. These arent any better. It is just a bad product. Basically the warranty is useless if you keep calling for the same issue. They say, This is the last time we will fix this issue. Sadly I always heard this was a great company and I waited 7 years to save up for this stove and boom rotten appliance.

Problems started just after the manufacturers warranty ended. I consistently get a U60 fan error message, no matter what Im cooking and no matter what cooking cycle Im on. It works for about 15 to 20 minutes and then stops and there is no way to restart or reset it.

We built a home in 2006 and installed all Dacor appliances. I would never ever purchase these products again. My gas cooktop was the top of the line product from Dacor and I have had nothing but problems with it for 5 years now. I have spent over $1000 fixing the large burner that continues to have leaks with the seal to the point where the flames come out the bottom of the burner. Most of the other burners click when lit even though they are clean and away from a draft. I have had 2 Dacor approved repair companies out and they both recommended against Dacor. In addition, the finish on the cooktop has soaked in my heavy duty cooking juices and foods and the stains will not come out. Apparently, this is due to the new finish they used so that the metal can withstand the high temperatures. If this company were an auto mfg., they would have had to do recalls and face potential class action suits. I would prefer to be cooking on a camp stove rather than my Dacor. When I contacted Dacor, they offered parts at a reduced rate which still cost a fortune. When I asked about replacement, they said they would sell to me at a discounted rate which was still $2400. Bad product, bad company. My cooktop is still giving me issues. it is embarrassing to cook with friends around because of the problems.

Dacor 48 dual fuel range - Only 3 years ago, we purchased a Dacor range that is beautiful and worked great for 2 1/2 years. During the last six months, I had the led lights go out on some of my cooktop knobs and my oven has started not baking evenly, much as described in a previous post (half of your cookies can be burnt and the other half dough). A serviceman has been out twice and I have been made to feel that basically, I dont know how to use this oven or dont know how to cook. Funny that has only been in the last 6 months. I cooked great with the range for 2 1/2 years and have 20 years of cooking experience, but obviously, I dont know what Im talking about. To replace a led light bulb, I had to purchase a $300 control board part (that Dacor did discount) plus a $100 labor. It ended up being a $250 light bulb fix that has exploded to a potentially additional $600 problem. When taking off the range lid to replace the lights, I am now told that 3-4 burners have to be completely replaced and this again is my fault somehow because the metals fuse together and that is known by Dacor to happen, but my service tech said its because I dont clean my range well enough. This still makes no sense. And to fix the oven problem, it might be the control board? Lets throw my money at it and see? All guessing, the serviceman, Dacor, etc.! So now Im stuck with a parts bill of over $1,000 (Dacor did discount this to about $300) plus $200+ in labor, another guess. This just seems ridiculous to change a light bulb and guess at an oven fix for a 3-year old range that cost as much as a car! Im so irate over the whole issue! What a mistake Dacor was.

The electronics on the first two induction burners failed within six months which was covered under warranty. The second two went three weeks after the warranty and we had to argue with Dacor to cover them otherwise it is a $1400 repair job. From day one whenever you open the oven door the controls and heat shut off. Sometimes it turns back on when you close the door. As for the downdraft, it worked fine until 10 weeks ago when while closing, the cover lip hit a wooden spoon that had been lying flat near the edge. There is no safety feature and the motor continued to try and close the fan. The unit would not respond and would not re-open. The spoon had to be broken to get it out. If this was a childs finger you would have had to call 911. We now have a repair bill of over $350 and are still waiting for 2 months for Dacor to send a part. We will never buy this brand again.

I purchased a Dacor double wall oven in May 2011 at a reduced price from a secondary market. Due to cosmetic defects, it wasnt sold by an authorized Dacor dealer. I bought it at what I thought was a fair price, considering the cosmetic defects. When our home was completed in November 2011, we installed the oven but found the oven would not heat up to the set temperature. I was told by the company I bought it from that it would be eligible to be covered under the manufacturers warranty. I called Dacor and was told that since I didnt buy it from an authorized dealer, they would not cover it under their warranty even though I had it under one year. Since I had to give Dacor the serial number when I called it in, they now have a permanent record to that end. I have had no oven because I cannot pay to have it repaired.

I remodeled my kitchen about four years ago with all Dacor appliances. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I have since replaced the refrigerator after only two years. After spending over $1000 in repair calls and parts, I purchased a new refrigerator as the freezer motor went out and had water all over my floor countless times even after new parts were installed. The ovens also have been replaced (12 months ago) as the lower heating element went out and had the upper and lower ovens go out with panel failures. I was so stupid to install the 30-inch dishwasher, as well. It also went out after 18 months with a motherboard failure. The upper rack glider also fell apart. Having the 30- inch dishwasher, I would have had to have a carpenter come in and make adjustments to my new cabinets. So I found another 30-inch Dacor dishwasher at an appliance store in Memphis, had it shipped to me and installed. It has been 10 months and I am now having the same problem I had with the previous Dacor dishwasher. It never ends! With the only option left but to have the cabinet remodeled, I will be purchasing a third dishwasher 10 months later. The only good that came out of this is the cooktop is still working (as of this date). All I can say is, if it says Dacor, dont purchase the product! This company shouldnt even be in business! What is even more pathetic is, when you call the Customer Service number, their representatives have such a I could care less attitude. It is a waste of time to even attempt to seek a solution to your problem. I guess they feel that since they have your money now, its the consumers problem, not theirs.GE Profile products are far superior and a lot less money. It goes to show an expensive price tag doesnt mean the product is superior.

When my husband and I built our home 11 years ago, I splurged and got a Dacor ERD36 36 dual fuel range. During the process of our build, our builder dropped my range during the installation. Dacor was very quick to send out a servicer to make sure the performance of the range was not compromised. The only thing that needed to be replaced was a bent bullnose in the front and the kickplate. I have had one service call in 11 years, which was last year after a brownout in my neighborhood caused my clock and oven setting to go crazy. It had nothing to do with function and had nothing to do with shoddy manufacturing. I just got it fixed and continue to use my range every day. I am looking to expand my island because I need another oven and I am very excited to add a Dacor oven to my home with zero hesitation. I am looking at a DO130S. I would buy Dacor over and over again!

In September 2009 we did a complete remodel of our kitchen. Replaced everything but the refrigerator, with DACOR appliances. Within a few months we had problems with the dishwasher and finally replaced it with a GE in 2012. About that same time we had problems with the Dacor Epicure 30 Single Oven Model EO130SCH control panel and had to have the repairman out to work on the relay/computer board. At Christmas 2015 I had trouble baking, the temperature wasnt accurate and have had the repairman again. He says that the computer board is fried (his term). Ive tried calling Customer Service with no success. Ive e-mailed them with same results. The appliance repairman has told me that he cant find the part. All the distributors that hes called have been told that the part is on back order. Ive been without an oven for over two months now with no fix in sight. Have been told that IF we find the part it will probably run around $500.00. These are appliances that are only six years old and have had gentle use by senior citizens. Anyone reading this - PLEASE DONT BUY DACOR! Youll be sorry as I am.

We acquired a $7,500 Dacor refrigerator when we bought a house this year. The fridge was only 5 years old. First of all it made horrendous noise when operating. Secondly the ice maker didnt work. Thirdly the freezer cooling unit died last week. How can a $7,500 refrigerator be designed so badly? I found out through Dacors authorized service company that it was quite likely the freezer could be fixed with a $400 part and some $250 in labor. The technician hinted that this problem was quite common with Dacor refrigerators. I contacted Dacor and suggested that their Internet reviews were terrible and they should help defray the costs of their premature failed unit. I was thinking that for a 5 year old product they should reimburse 50-75% of the total cost to repair. They said they would give me a 25% discount on the retail value of the parts only. In other words - I would be on the hook for at least $600 of the estimated $700 fix. This was a slap in the face. They dont seem to realize that their companys future business is only built on satisfied customers. I cant believe such expensive equipment can be so poorly designed and supported. Mercedes Benz... they are not. Lest anyone think that I am a frothing upset complaining consumer - I will tell you that I am currently retired, and formerly CEO of a $200 million public software company. I know something about building a business and I know something about focusing on customer satisfaction. I would urge anyone reading this review to stay away from all Dacor products. The Company has shown itself to be undeserving of any American consumers business!

Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range and Microwave - Where to begin? Perhaps at the end is best. Dacor appliances are shoddy, unreliable, outrageously expensive to repair and there is no customer support. That about covers it. We bought the above noted pair during our kitchen renovations 8 years ago. We thought that Dacor was a premium brand that would give us long trouble free service. How wrong we were! The only thing Premium about them is the price. 4 years ago, the microwave door refused to latch. Thanks to YouTube, I found out how to remove the door backing and found that the plastic part that comprised the latch was broken. Dacor was contacted - they no longer had the part. Try the open market I was told. I managed to jury rig a repair by using a wooden shim. 3 years ago, the range packed it in. Another repair - this time I was told it was the circuit board that had failed and which was replaced to the tune of $700 and I was cautioned that the second circuit board was not working very well - the interior light would not illuminate and the blue lights indicating a lit burner didnt work, and I should change it too. The smaller circuit board was costed out at $400. Last week, the door latch motor failed and the range began to beep incessantly. Now the oven cannot be used and repair costs quoted over the phone were in the 1000$ range. Thats it for us. Dacor is junk and belongs where its headed - the junkyard. Dont buy Dacor. Live and learn I guess.

We have a Dacor gas range RSD30R that we bought to upgrade our kitchen in 2002. We have had several issues with the range to date. The first issue we had with the range was the auto lock for the oven cleaning cycle that failed in 2007. It was not covered under warranty and cost $88. The second item to fail were the oven door springs. They also failed in 2007 and covered under warranty. They failed again in 2017 and had to be replaced for a second time. The springs are too weak to hold the weight of the heavy door. $68-$78 for the springs. The springs could easily be changed out as the brackets are still good but they only come as complete units. The last item to fail were the ignitors. Only one ignitor failed out of the four but as the spark module ignites all burners every time any one is turned on, premature failure could be expected as all ignitors light every time. This time the part is no longer available from Dacor. Dacor does not support any products they build after 7-8 years. Parts will no longer be available. I would not recommend Dacor Appliances to anyone as the manufacturer does not support their own products very long. I purchased Dacor to buy American and I regret it now. In contrast every product that Miele made even 20+ years ago, parts are still available directly from Miele and other suppliers as well.

Dacor repaired it quickly (12 hours). I was impressed (though concerned it already had an issue). In December 2020 I noticed that the oven indicator light was not coming on. I contacted customer service and despite indicating that there was a problem, was simply told what the light was for. Then, in February 2021 (under 5 months after installation) the oven stopped working. The service technician indicated it was an electrical issue and the gas would not ignite. The Dacor gas range/ oven and wall oven were here when we bought our house in 2010. I would never buy any Dacor product again. I will have to look for a replacement for the gas cooktop range. The Dacor gas cooktop is OK except that EVERY time you turn on a burner, one or two of other igniters start clicking and wont stop until you find which one it is (not always the same) and turn it on and off. Please heed this and all the other warnings from the choir. DO NOT BUY DACOR!It is all very expensive junk. The oven temperatures fluctuate while baking. The oven range unit is out of warranty. So our home warranty AHS covered it but they kept sending out the same grubby slob who never fixed the problem but did charge us for the $75.00 service fee. They replaced the oven controller and the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. We have a full size oven that we cannot use! Then F1 beeping nonstop, and we have to turn power off to stop it. Now, out of the blue the downdraft fan just started extending and retracting over and over again with no way to stop it without going back to the electrical panel and flipping the breaker that it is wired into. We purchased a Dacor Epicure dual fuel range when we built our house 7 years ago. It was the most expensive appliance we bought and we wish we hadnt. We have had no problems with the stove top, but the oven, specifically the broiler unit has been a consistent problem. We rarely use the broiler and use the oven perhaps 2 or 3 times a month. Yet, the igniter had to be replaced in March of 2008 and again, in June of 2010. In January of 2011, the broil gas valve was changed and now in September, the broiler is again not working. Less than two years ago, we purchased a Dacor classic wall oven from a local high end appliance store in Durham, NC. Within a few months, the electronics started getting glitchy; the oven started beeping in the middle of the night. I turned off the beep, but other problems started popping up. I baked a pie which was half raw on one side and overcooked on the other side -- not exactly what you would expect from a nearly $5000 oven. Recently, the display has been blinking in codes and the oven has been turning itself off. When I tried to call customer service, I was repeatedly put on hold for 30 minutes after which the system disconnected me. When I finally spoke to a person, she was very rude. Then some of the lighters quit working. When we called for repair, every place we called said they would no longer service Dacor because they were unable to get parts. For over a year we have gone back and forth with Dacor state office. They finally sent a “tech” from a video repair store. Really. He charged us $170 to drive to us. Then said he couldn’t get the brass rings off the burners, sorry. Called Dacor again and they said if we found anyone to let them know!!! Yesterday, the the touch panel burned out. I’m done. Dacor does not stand behind their products. I have documented all conversations. Do not buy Dacor.

Ive had the 27 inch double wall oven for 10 yrs. When I purchased them they were 6000 dollars. With 3 years I started having a problem with the motherboard. It has been replaced 3 or 4 times. Ive lost count. The last time they said it was fixed for sure. Well today the same issue is occurring. Im done! Never buying another Dacor product again.

I purchased a DACOR PGR-30S LP in 2002. It has had a number of problems due to poor design that required replacing the control panel as well as other parts. However, it has recently developed a gas leak and thus is no longer usable. To fix the gas leak, you must take off the top burners to get to the leak and make a repair. UNFORTUNATELY, DACOR has to make room for new parts and no longer makes the O-Rings required. Yes, apparently a $10 O-Ring takes too much room seven years after I bought my range. So, in 2009, DACOR discontinued making the O-Rings and now I have a very expensive paperweight that I have to take to the dump so that I dont blow up my house. I wouldnt ever buy a DACOR again. The customer service it terrible and they cant even be bothered to carry simple repair parts. Buy a Wolf or some other high end stove because DACOR is literally a piece of junk!

I purchased my Dacor Epicure Range 8 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen.
I purchased my Dacor Epicure Range 8 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen. My other appliances were made by GE and Bosch. Ive had to service my GE appliances a couple of times in the last 8 years, but it is the Dacor that has given me the most grief and it was the most expensive appliance purchased. It has never been reliable with regard to convection baking. Initially I thought it was my inexperience with a convection oven. I read everything I could get my hands on and kept trying...after talking with a friend who does quite a bit of baking I realized its not me, its my oven. Then the real problems started. First it was the broiler/ignitor, next it was the membrane in the keypad. Two months later it was the relay board and this time it was the broiler/ignitor....Again! Started calling Dacor when the relay board went out because at this point I had spent $1,000 on repairs....after I had paid $4,000 for the range itself. For the last two repairs Dacor has paid for the parts, while I paid for the service call and labor. This has reduced the cost of my last two repairs by about 50%, which is very helpful. However, Im still very disappointed in the product. I spend a good deal of time in my kitchen and do quite a bit of baking, cooking, and canning. I thought that if I spent more money and bought a high-end appliance, it would serve me well. At the rate that Im going, I will need to purchase another range, unless I want to keep throwing money into repairs on this one, which I dont. I will not ever purchase (or recommend) another Dacor product again.

We moved into our newly built home in April 2012. I purchased the Dacor 30" microwave drawer to complement a 30" electric oven that is installed just above the microwave. I am very happy with my purchase, it is stylish and works well. The drawer is spacious, I can fit multiple food items in it and they all cook evenly. We use it daily and couldn't be happier with it. If I ever move, I will purchase this microwave drawer again.

When the beverage center was initially installed 5 or so years ago, I went to put wine bottles in the wine drawers and surprisingly, the shelves are too shallow to properly hold some of the bottles especially tall Riesling bottles. I contacted Dacor to get some response to the poor design and got no response. Now the unit wont chill and I have just paid a repairman $162 to tell me it is not repairable because the unit has a leak in the refrigeration system and it is within a foamed in area of the system. So after only 5 years, I am replacing my wine fridge, not what I would have expected from a brand that touts itself as being high end. I am very dissatisfied with Dacor and certainly will not be purchasing anything of that brand again.

I paid over $6000.00 for a Dacor EF48BNDBSS refrigerator and have had nothing but problems with this item and the other Dacor item (dishwasher) that I bought when I had a new kitchen built for my new life of retirement. The first refrigerator that was delivered did not work when it was installed and was returned immediately. I had to wait for Dacor to send another one and I have had to pay several service calls each time since that point. I am disgusted that I paid over $10,000 on two appliances from Dacor and neither of them has ever worked even at a low grade basic level. Both of my items have been discontinued and Dacor reimbursed me for half of what I paid for the dishwasher, which did not even cover all of the repair calls that I had paid for ongoing service. At that dealing, I got tired of paying for repair calls for the refrigerator due to excessive icing in the freezer; supposedly there was a quick fix right after I had the unit installed and it did not fix the issue. Now, there is another quick fix that Dacor suggests and that will cost me $800. Really? I dont think so. In fact, I have researched this issue and have found that this quick fix does not solve the problem either. In addition, I have called Dacor numerous times about the refrigerator door not sealing and the refrigerator making all kinds of strange noises. They told me it was the seal, so I had the seal replaced and that was not the issue. Then I paid $235.00 for a service call to look at the seal and he said that this refrigerator has known problems for hinge issues and he attempted to fix the hinge and left and the problem continued. Between the hinge issues, the constant icing issues in the freezer and the food icing over as well along with the trays and inner shelving of the freezer, the refrigerator sealing and the hinges working, and the constant crazy noises that the refrigerator makes, I am ready to file a lawsuit for a lemon of a product. This is the second product that has recall issues and multiple problems. I am sure that with my documentation, a judge would have no problem agreeing that I have paid way too much and put in way too much time and energy into getting a decent appliance into my kitchen. I would never recommend Dacor to anyone. I am dissatisfied and refuse to pay another penny for service calls on these appliances that were installed in 08/2012. At this point, my refrigerator is unplugged and unusable and I am using a small refrigerator that I bought at Costco for $300.00 thirteen years ago that has never had one problem.
