I was originally looking to buy a slide-in range. I didn't have my mind set on any particular brand but the Electrolux model ranked high on my list of contenders. After almost a year of scouring & searching both BB and numerous other online resources, I finally came across this free standing range @BB store near me. It was a display model that had been marked down, that coupled w/ purchase promo at the time & free delivery was a no brainer. So although it wasn't the slide-in I wanted, it was well worth the trade off for a deal like this. BB has always done right by me & customer service was great. As for the performance of the range itself, I have no complaints thus far, it works fine & has many features. Only thing I noticed was a strong odor when I used the oven for the first time that has since disappeared. I didn't know if that was normal for a new unit but it now operates normally & helps cook meals quickly w/ it's expandable heating elements & settings.

I bought a chest freezer from Electrolux and it broke within 6 days. And then I called right away to get it replaced and they only do repairs. So they told me I had to make an appointment to get a repair but they would get back to me in five days to do so because they didnt have any availability. A week and a half later I called and they said they were still waiting on service (after they put me on a brief hold for two hours). I told the lady I wanted an update the next day and she never called. So I called back the next day – still nothing and still waiting on service. I bought it from Home Depot and that is the second appliance I bought from home depot not only did I have problems with but customer service gave me problems. I am a contractor. I will not buy so much as a drywall screw from home depot. And I will not purchase or install an Electrolux application for myself or anyone else. Absolute garbage and a sorry excuse for a company and ignorant customer service.

Awful experience with model #EFME517SIW 8.0 cu. (Electrolux Dryer 2016) .The front door rattles at very high decibels as does the flimsy rear panel. We cant stand the noise and disruption within our home. Called Electrolux and they claimed that after one year, there is no warranty coverage for this issue. Unfortunately, we purchased the washer/dryer set while the home was under renovations and were unable to use the appliances for several months. By the time we used the appliances, the horrible rattling started, but warranty ended. My former GE clothes dryer worked perfectly and quietly for 10 years, never requiring service. Ill never purchase from Electrolux again and will tell post as many reviews as possible about their poorly made and overpriced clothes dryer.

Our new home came with Electrolux appliances, which I thought was great. Not so much. My dishwasher buttons are smearing off (Model EI24ID81SS) and the button board requires unplug and replugging when the button board freezes. My wall oven has (EW30EW55PS) has a temperature probe that worked for the two times I used it, and does not work. My microwave (EW30SO60QS) creates steam on the buttons, which have already malfunctioned for 4 months where the time or timer just didnt work. I have to leave my microwave open to make sure the steam for using the microwave does not break the buttons. The gas stove top (EW36GC55PS) didnt ignite one of the burners after 1 month of use so I had to manually grab a lighter & ignite the burner for use. Ive never had so many issues from one brand. The only 1 star is for their aesthetic appearance.

Electrolux Washer Model EIFLS55IIW1 - Washing machine delivered 1/25/2014.
Electrolux Washer Model EIFLS55IIW1 - Washing machine delivered 1/25/2014. Purchased matching dryer 6/1/14. Dryer control panel dies after three months. Repaired under warranty. Just short of 22 months of delivery washer does not spin out clothes. $100 for repairman to come out. Says, Broken belt. Comes back a week later with belt. But NO, not the belt, the pulley, and the pulley ate into the drum, destroying that as well. 22 months old and washer is considered totaled by repairman. However, can be fixed for $1,200 for parts and labor. Wait, I only bought this 22 months ago for $899. Now the fun, Electrolux says that it will warranty parts and that I can pay for the labor. Again, top of the line machine should of lasted at least 5 years, not 22 months!! Frigidaire washer made by Electrolux stood the test of four teenagers, dog blankets, horse blankets, etc., but the more expensive top of the line model could not stand up to two senior citizens doing normal washes, with the wife doing all the appropriate cleanings on machine. Bottom line, if I did not have the stackable set I would of not replaced it with this piece of junk. Even wife says the first machine did not clean the clothes properly, not enough water, and ran far beyond time for a load of wash. Recommendation: Stay away from the Electrolux line. Read the other comments about water, service, etc. They are not going to help and the new machine to replace was even more than the first one. No discounts, no credits. Nothing from Electrolux. Dont buy is our recommendation!

Double Electrolux oven - Purchased this oven in 2006, almost immediately had outage problems. Every time I use them, and then clean them, they short-out. The fix was to install new motherboard, expensive computer problem. Electrolux says, Just dont use the self-clean feature. Ridiculous! I paid for that with the assumption it will work... Their warranty says that with 3 repairs for the same thing they will replace them. Ive had more than 12 service calls for the same problem but no replacement. I tried getting the number or address of one of the EXECS, they will not give it to me. I see today, they have won an award for the best oven design of the year 2015. What a joke. I want my oven replaced!

I called your 1-800-265-8352 number because the dryer I just purchased on December 20, 2021 and tried using for the first time yesterday (there was a delay in using the machines because a plumber was required to hook up the washing machine due to where the drain is in our house) and I discovered that there is no heat in the dryer and its not drying my clothes. I called Canadian Appliance store where I purchased the washer/dryer and they told me to call the number I mentioned. I called, waited 20+ minutes to talk to someone and when they answered there was so much static on the line it was difficult to hear. I have been on the phone for over 2 hours today. I have given the serial number, my name and address multiple times. At first the representative told me it was no longer under warranty, now hes trying to create an account and has given me an account number. Needless to say, this is extremely disappointing customer service. Apparently, a technician will be calling me tomorrow to arrange a time to come, however, given the questionable service so far and extremely poor audible quality I have no confidence that I will actually hear from someone. I tried emailing Electrolux.ca but my email was denied?! There does not seem to be a way of communicating with anyone from customer service. I tried calling again to verify an account had been created and that someone would be calling me tomorrow and that person disconnected the call. I tried calling again to verify and all 3 times it was almost impossible to hear the person on the line because of static and echo. My experience is not good. What are you willing to do to save rectify this?

I purchased an Electrolux refrigerator 4 years ago based on many trips to appliance centers who all recommended this brand. I have had both a GE refrigerator and Whirlpool in the past with virtually no issues. The water paddle has failed twice (only my husband and I live here). There is no replacement for just the paddle so you have to buy the entire water dispensing system. The board control went out in 11/2011 and now the same board needs to be replaced again for the price of $400-$500 with service. I called Electrolux who told me to buy an extended warranty yearly for the price of $196. I will never ever buy another Electrolux product again. It makes me wonder if this company was paying higher commissions on their products than their competitors due to so many people stating they heard it was the best appliance from so many sales people.

My husband and I purchased our Electrolux fridge last November 2014. We chose it because it has a fairly reasonable price compared to other competitors like Samsung and LG. It was our first time trying out this brand and we were not disappointed. Our fridge is almost 2 years old now and it did not give us any headache. It's very spacious and cools greatly. There were also ice trays included in the fridge so that's a plus. It's also very easy to clean and it has a very sleek design! Would recommend to others for sure!

We have a defective Electrolux refrigerator. According to the repairman, our ice maker was not insulated sufficiently from the back panel of the refrigerator. It has caused condensate to form on the back of the appliance. We discovered a large (about 6 in diameter) rust spot there with a trailing one of about 18 or so. There is condensate on the back that drips continually and the metal is actually flaking off. We have no idea how long this has been going on. We only discovered it because of a kitchen remodel. Meanwhile, it has been dripping down to a wood floor. We could be dealing with mold inside the back panel or eventually on the back of the refrigerator and wall (which I am highly allergic to). We have contacted Electrolux and all that was offered was us contacting another repairman (at our expense). They are not honoring their warranty. I also have an Electrolux stove. Im not feeling very good about it now! These appliances are expensive. I will never buy another Electrolux or Frigidaire product.

We purchased the oven from Lowes in 2012. It did not work from the start. Lowes refused to cover it and so did Electrolux claiming it was a 2008 model so not covered. After a hassle, they replaced the circuit board under an extended warranty plan. It then turned on but the temperature is totally random. It shuts off and on at will. According to the service people if the repairman says it cant be fixed we will get our money refunded. They seem confused about why no one will repair it. Based on our dealings so far and a little inside info about our local Lowes, I suspect it was already returned as not repairable and Lowes sold it to us anyway as a floor model. Do floor models usually not work? It is the worst appliance of any brand or any type that I have ever owned in forty years of buying appliances. Even if it did work, it is not user friendly or intuitive. You have to touch about six different buttons in the correct order just to bake at 350. My first scratch and dent with two knobs worked better. We bought it because it was supposed to replace all those appliances sitting on the counter, slow cooker, bread machine, etc. but it wont even just bake a freaking pot pie. I am grouchy because I have been trying for two hours and my blood sugar is really low.

We purchased a glass top range and had it for 3 weeks when the problems started. It started with beeping and then F11 on the control panel. So no oven for a week until repair man came. Again no oven for 2 weeks until he replaced the control panel and within days the problem started again. So another parts replacement and no oven for weeks. Now the problem started within hours and another replacement, so 3 repairs and still not working. After 3 months of repairs, no oven or stove as if it was plugged in it would continuously beep loudly Electrolux replaced the stove. So now a month with the new stove and its not working, continuous beeping and no buttons work.Tried calling to speak with a supervisor and no luck just the same (we really dont care attitude). So now back to all the stress and frustration and months of repairs. If anyone knows how to get a hold of a supervisor as customer services keeps telling us the supervisors will not take the phone would help. It amazes me that a company that is kept going by its consumers doesnt really care about its consumers. What happens when they have no consumers as they went to someone who actually cares about them. How many companies are no longer around because they lost all respect and confidence by their buyers.

ELECTROLUX SERVICE WARRANTY PROCESS IS LONG AND BROKEN: 5 WEEKS WITH A DRYE
ELECTROLUX SERVICE WARRANTY PROCESS IS LONG AND BROKEN: 5 WEEKS WITH A DRYER THAT HAS NEVER POWERED UP. Appalling service and approach to customer service. Electrolux service warranty process is long and Broken: 5 weeks with a dryer that never powered-up. Im now in possession of a dryer for approx. 5 weeks that has never powered-up. Its been 5 weeks of endless hours of phone calls and emails with Canadian Appliance Source, the retailer; Electrolux Warranty Dept; and Home Appliance Care Ottawa, authorized service technicians. Following the first warranty service call, the tech diagnosed the problem to be the motherboard related to power fluctuations in the dryer electrical outlet. The builders electrician confirmed the power readings were normal and within acceptable limits. A replacement board was ordered and installed. Guess what?! The dryer still did not power-up and tech remains convinced it is due to a power issue. I requested a second assessment of the power situation from the provincial (equivalent to a US state) power provider, and it was determined again that all was working as it should. This information was relayed to Electrolux, who now wants to schedule a third warranty service call, as a second opinion to its first 2 assessments. When asked why a second opinion was necessary given that more highly educated and experienced professionals have already determined that there are no issues with power supplied to the dryer, I was essentially told it was because Electrolux was more trusting of the assessment provided by their authorized service technician. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! HOW DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE ANY SENSE? Does the CEO/PRESIDENT or any other member of Electroluxs senior management team have any idea of how customers are being handled? This is a waste of time by all the parties involved, and hugely inconvenient for me, the customer. Im presently drying my clothes on a $50 drying rack instead of the $800 dryer I purchased.WHERE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ANY OF THIS? Common sense to this situation in not being applied by Electrolux. Why doesnt Electrolux retain its political capital and just admit the productive is defective. It will be a very, very sad day if Electrolux maintains its position of only accepting their authorized technicians assessment about the power situation. What a disgusting way to treat a customer who is in possession of product for almost 5 weeks that has never worked out-of-the-box.

My Electrolux EIMED60JIWO front load dryer will not start. Serial # 4D10402611. Purchased May 28, 2011 Hampton, VA. Registered with Electrolux. If I turn the dial to different settings it beeps at each setting, light flashes on and off with the beep. If I try to start, turn the dial, cancel or push any other buttons, it beeps. This has happened 4 times since I purchased the dryer in May 28 of 2011. I believe the last technician said the dryer had to be reset. It will not reset. I tried unplugging, resetting the circuit breaker, factory resetting the dryer by pushing the temperature button and the dryness button simultaneously for 6 seconds. NOTHING. STILL NOT WORKING!!! Of course it is only 4 years old, but out of warranty. They advised that I purchase a 2 year extended warranty for $267.74, and then I have to wait 9 days for the earliest service call. The dryer cost $1100!!! They didnt fix the problem when it was under the original warranty. I am NOT happy with Electrolux. WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX!! They offer a poor product, poor service, and fail to honor the warranty. I expected more out of my Electrolux. Please advise.

My very expensive ($1,400) Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505 just cost another $311 to fix. This is after replacing the water pump approximately a year ago. It was just over four years old and used only 2-3 times a month. Forget about customer service where they will only tell you that you have to contact one of their service agents in your area. It cost me $75 (trip charge) for a serviceman to come over and make a phone call to Electrolux tech support for the error code which resulted in a needed repair kit. Two weeks later after the repair kit installed, I was charged $118 for the kit, $100 for a second trip charge and $18 for labor. It is not true you get what you pay for in this case. Please do not purchase Electrolux appliances. I unfortunately did not do my research before and deeply regret it as I am now in the hole about as much as I paid for it originally in repairs and it still does not work. I have spent numerous calls and hours with customer service and to no avail. They simply dont care if you ever purchase from them again and I definitely will not. The interface board on ours was faulty from the beginning and after being replaced still did not work. The ice maker would freeze over and after even repairing it broke again. We have been using ice trays for two years due to not being able to afford to pay the repair cost and another part since it was out of warranty at that point. I have filed a complaint with the State Dept. of Consumer Affairs and to file suit to replace a defective design. We are contacting their legal department due to the fact they knew it was a defective design and will not fix it or replace it. Electrolux used to be a great company and unfortunately like many today just dont care about the consumers who purchase with their hard earned money from them. The only recourse is to just not give them the money in the future so I highly recommend you do your research before throwing your money away with them.

Weve had these appliances for about five years now. Weve had major service on the refrigerator at least four times. The ice maker has been replaced twice and is currently not working, the drawer guides on the main drawer in the refrigerator area have had to be replaced and the temp sensor had to be replaced. The spring on the dishwasher door broke off its mounting plate, the door handle broke off of the microwave, and a year later the entire door assembly has fallen apart. As in other reviews we had problems with the ice maker on our Electrolux fridge. It was also repaired twice and now it works intermittently, plus we get some gray mold like contamination in some of the cubes. Our microwave window was replaced once because of a foggy deposit on the inside of the glass, the fog is back again! The display is fine for everyday use but if you try doing some programming the display is illegible. Our dishwasher has a plethora of wash choices of which none do as good a job as our much cheaper GE Profile in Florida. Unless you basically hand wash the plates, pans, and silverware, you will end up with some food residue on some of the items. The flat top range does not have a exhaust vent only a cooling fan for the electronics which blows out the front. If some dripping end up smoking in the oven, the smoke stays there until you open the door and the smoke sets off the alarms in the house! To top it off, one has to buy every few months an expensive water filter for the fridge, and when putting the range in clean mode, you have to remove all the racks and side bars for it to work so you end up with a clean oven but dirty racks! When we first purchased the trio it was promised that we would get a $300 rebate, which we never received because we submitted the paperwork incorrectly! We received no help from the store because it was a strictly Electrolux deal, and none from Electrolux themselves. In spite of the fact they had proof of purchase, which should have been enough to qualify us for the rebate, they never made any effort to satisfy us. As mentioned earlier, I would have been a lot more satisfied with a GE or LG product for at least half the price!

We bought dishwasher and in first 30 days we had Error Code 11 pop up and dishwasher wouldnt start. We bought from Nebraska Furniture Mart and they sent a gentleman out to look at it. He stated it wasnt draining properly and the hose needed to be higher. Less than a year later, just after warranty ran out, it did it again. Electrolux then stated we had to pay for repairs. We had tech come out and charge us for call and stated it could be two parts, the control board or drain valve. We replaced both and it still didnt work. Our Electrolux Fridge model EI23BC60KS (ELECTROLUX, REF F/S 24D, FRENCH DOOR, F/D, 23CUFT, 24D, HDN HNG, I/M) started overheating about 9 months post purchase. Since then weve taken at least 12 days off work so far to have service technicians come check it out (6x now) and then waited approx a week to get a second visit where they replaced a different part each time or turned it off. Worst is that every time, weve lost hundreds of dollars in food and we have a baby so had to purchase a mini fridge to at least keep his basic items like milk cool. When I reached out to Electrolux Canada Head office the last time, they indicated they couldnt do anything other than paying for parts given it was the same issue identified during warranty period because I didnt purchase replacement insurance (this was two days post warranty period). Again the same thing happened so this will be our 7th call to a servicing company. This is the second set of Electrolux appliances (we had them in our old house as well and I recommended them to friends and family given no their sleek design). Its so not worth it though unless youre ok having a fridge that doesnt actually function. This has been the worst product and customer support experience Ive had in my life. I paid a lot of money for a fridge that didnt even last 9 months, lost hundreds of dollars in food, taken several days off work to try and resolve and still no solution or support from Electrolux whatsoever.

Not even a month later the dishwasher had to be repaired (circulatory pump) and then January 2019 the refrigerator broke down (blockage in the evaporator coils). After having two different repair man come I was told the unit cannot be fixed and I will need a new one. We are now March 8 and Im still waiting for the new refrigerator! Ive lost track of how many phone calls Ive made to the company and also several emails. This has been very frustrating.

I wish I would have seen this site before purchasing what I thought was a good brand. All appliances were Whirlpool replacements which were over 10 years old. The Electrolux appliances havent made it three years without issues. Ice maker in the refrigerator stopped working. Dryer electrical panel, washer and dishwasher leaking, and microwave power unit went out. If you buy them, keep purchasing the extended warranty!

We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report.
We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report. Our 2.5 year old appliances have had 10 service calls in this time frame. Problem is now that they are out of warranty, the service calls, and the cost of parts have become astronomical. The refrigerator filters cost $60 each. New shelf $40. Ice maker replacement part $200. Range control panel $535.51, range display board $211.79, plus service call $125+/-. None of these repairs are guaranteed, in fact the range needs these 2 parts for the second time. If you can find a service repair company that even wants to work on these lemons. Most of service companies refuse to work on these appliances. They do not want to accept responsibility for failed repairs. The service repairman basically told me that the repair will fail again. He implied that I should junk the 2.5 year old range ($2,800 new). Think Electrolux customer service will be any help? Think again. Their purpose in life, is to 1) Sell you more stuff like extended warranties. 2) Make sure that you talk to no one else at the company. 3) Listen to your problem, sympathize and give you nothing that will solve the problem. If you ask to be transferred to a supervisor, they transfer you to the next cubicle to someone like Therese (one of the rudest people you will ever encounter), Thomas, Stephanie, or Bridget. All of these people will tell you that they are important (BS like special assist to CEO) but they are dead ends. My advice stay away from Electrolux, Frigidaire, and if the sale is approved GE appliances. Electrolux is in the process of buying GE appliance. My advice, call the store that you bought the appliances from. That is how I got the microwave replaced. Dont be afraid to write these reviews. Use social media to help spread the word about these awful appliances and the horrible company is... Please, please, please, be a good friend and neighbor and help get the word out.

Electrolux Model EI28BS56IS8 /double door refrigerator /micro - Final straw was today; after three service visits on our Electrolux microwave they replaced it. That was good however now the new one is starting to make a funny noise. If that was not frustrating enough the ice maker continues to not work. They obviously have a problem with this; I continue to see others with the same problem. Tech have been out four times in the year and half we have had the product. Now today the water dispenser stopped working. FRUSTRATING!

Bought an Electrolux fridge with French doors at State Street Discount in Portsmouth, NH after a lot of research. Didnt want front side ice and water because I felt it unnecessary and potentially problem-ridden. I saw some reports of ice maker being problematic. Embarrassed to report, they were right. Thing knocks, sticks, I fought with it with a steak knife, and have changed the expensive water filter per instruction several times. Its actually mocking me right now (kid you not) with a nice tempo of knocks. Called support previously and they responded twice with average butt crack service. Ready to throw a hatchet at this thing. Mostly to cut the top half from the bottom. Have worked over the freezer trays so much they are no wobbly.

We did not purchase extended warranty and after a short 2 year period, the door ice maker sensor somehow was pulled into the ice crusher causing a short that took out ALL computer boards. The refrigerator basically died - cardiac arrest - A repair not under the 5 yr category and nearly half the cost of the $3,600 we invested in the appliance. The only remedy Electrolux offered were discount on parts, but cannot find repairman to work with this arrangement. We are forced to purchase a new refrigerator and cannot justify getting style I want due to money already spent. Since Electrolux would not stand behind their product, I do not recommend anyone buy Electrolux products!

Electrolux FFHT2117LWO over-under refrigerator: This was a replacement for our old one under a utility company energy program. It has run OK, but you cant turn the defrost off, and it seems to run a lot. The handles are our biggest problem. We had to remove the bottom door handle because we hit our heads on it a lot-- opening from the left. It seems to be in just exactly the wrong place. Then, when youre rummaging in the main frig cabinet and straighten back up, POW you hit your head on the freezer handle, very painful and the handles have sharp edges, too. I have thought about removing their awful handles and making my own which curve up, from the bottom of the freezer door. They are not reversible. Emails to Electrolux customer service have gone without response.

We purchased - largely for being identical in appearance - the Electrolux dishwasher, oven, and microwave set for a remodeled kitchen. Heres my experience with all three, plus other info. Dishwasher 1: Simply did not clean dishes. Three warranty service calls did not fix. Replaced with the identical Electrolux dishwasher. Dishwasher 2 (replacement): Leaked water onto the kitchen floor, and made an amazingly loud and unacceptable noise in operation. Two warranty service calls did not fix the leak and could not diagnose the noise. Lowes took it back and we replaced it with a now out-of-place looking but functional Kitchenaid.Oven: Several of the blue bars on the lighted timer/temperature indicators are not fully functional at one year old (off warranty), so have to guess at temperatures and time. Very expensive to repair. Went through one temp. probe warranty repair (it was not connected internally at the factory). Troubleshooted and replaced a faulty second probe. The oven has twice stopped functioning, but I was able to get it operational by rebooting it (shutting off the appliance breakers, then turning them back on). Note: At the same time, my son, who lives 500 miles away, also bought the same type Electrolux oven, and he also has experienced the loss of some of the blue bars that constitute the numbers needed for time and temperature reading.Microwave: Many of the blue bars that constitute the numbers for time are not functional. Try operating a microwave without fully functional numbers for time, etc. The cost of the repair (replacement of the electronics is almost half the cost of an entire new unit. We limp along as is because of our attempt to match the appliances in the kitchen, and we are not about to replace with the identical Electrolux. Note: My son bought the identical microwave and he has the same problems. These things tell me that Electrolux shipped an entire batch of ovens and microwaves across the US with faulty lighted numbers. The shipping of two out-of-box failure dishwashers is almost unbelievable. I dont know how a company can survive with such a record of failures across three product lines.

We bought a $3700 refrigerator for our new home, the ice makers kept breaking. I was told I would get a $500 rebate from Electrolux if I bought this model! At Northern Appliance in Braintree is where I was told this and it was on the card on the Refrigerator. I got a service contract for 4 years! Ice maker defects computers replaced. After the first refrigerator I had only 1 and 1/2 years the ice makers died, it was covered by the contract, this was top of the line. After Electrolux told me it was being replaced I called a company to take it away. They said they kept it for themselves. I got the replacement and it was a used or way less value Refrigerator. I called. They said that is what I get! If you can believe it 2 more defective refrigerators and a quote a few service calls from Apollo appliance Brockton Ma. They are very good! The one I have now the ice maker is still broken. I was told the motor is too close to the ice maker, melts it in the back and it breaks. This is unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator. Not sure what I should do if this one fails! Thanks you Jan

They promised that they will review my case and seek a replacement or refund for the refrigerator. I asked if I need to call again. They said no. More than seven days passed again no information. I called today Dec 24th 2020. Spoke with support staff who asked me to hold the line for more than 15 minute, this call was suspiciously ended by the support end. I called again. Another operator came on the line to say that the technician will fix it next Tuesday. Where in north America can we do without a refrigerator for two months. I have an Electrolux Wave Touch Electric Range model # EW30EF65GSH, purchased in January 2011 for $3,000. My thought was that, spending that much, we would be receiving a quality product. Yesterday my range starting beeping and showed an E11 error code. Repair man came and informed me that the part to fix this problem would cost almost $600 and it would be $200 for him to do the repair. This is a range that is very gently used - dont cook at home that much. Customer Service offered to discount the part by 20% after much time on the phone with them. So, my $3000 range is now costing me $750 to repair and I have no oven or stove top for a week. There is no way I would ever spend the money on an Electrolux again.

We purchased an Electrolux washer (and dryer) - our first Electrolux brand
We purchased an Electrolux washer (and dryer) - our first Electrolux brand of major appliance. We are normally careful to read reviews and check the brand out. All the reviews regarding the product features and benefits were strong. Never having had a problem with all laundry appliances we have purchased over the last 20 years or so, we failed to check the feedback on quality and service. Did check with friends and family with Electrolux laundry appliances - and they had performance concerns but did not have any service issues. Within the first 9 months, the washer developed a bottom leak (which I now see is a common problem). We are not high volume users, doing about 4 to 6 loads every month. Upon calling Electrolux, it seems that the authorized service agent in my area (the greater Boston area) can only come out 2 weeks from the day I called. Since this is the only way I can have my appliance repaired and the cost covered under the manufacturers warranty, I accepted the appointment. I think that it is reasonable to expect a problem free first year (or longer for an appliance that costs as much), as has been our experience over the last 20+ years. And, if it seems that this is a common issue, and likely a manufacturing defect. In my view, the manufacturer should stand behind their reputation and provide extended warranty coverage to address known manufacturing defects while fixing the issue in their design and production. If this were a car, I am quite sure there would be a recall to fix the problem at no cost to the owner. Fortunately, the damage caused by the water leaking is not major in our case. Nonetheless, it is not usable as it is for an extended period. So, families who may have the washer installed where there is potential for water leakage damage or who cannot function without a washer for a couple of weeks (or more), or who may not want to incur the additional maintenance costs - may wish to exclude this brand from their consideration.

I purchased an extended service agreement on my washer, waste of time and money. It has been 3 weeks and my washing machine is still broken and leaks. I finally had the service come back today to repair the pump, but after he left I ran a load and my whole laundry room was flooded. When I called Electrolux the customer service representative asked me what the problem was after I explained the whole situation, he didnt think the water leaking from the machine was an issue for them to deal with. Not to mention waiting 3 weeks for my washer to be fix the amount of mold that grew inside by the motor and pump was ridiculous, especially when I asked the technician on his original visit to please open the machine to remove broken pump and that I could clean it all out.Instead today when the machine was open water came pouring out that had been sitting in there for 3 weeks! Today is Monday and it has been 3 weeks since I called for repair, still cant use my washer, and was given an 8am-5pm time slot on Friday! So ridiculous! I have spoken to supervisors and have gotten nowhere. I will never buy another Electrolux product again! Im done dealing with them, they will now be hearing from my lawyer.

Shortly after purchasing the $4K refrigerator from a local company, the ice maker stopped working. After talking to another appliance shop, I was informed that the other store would not sell the model sold to us since there was a known defect with a control board. Sure enough after contacting the store we purchased the fridge from and Electrolux, a technician serviced our unit but warned us with all the electronics now in these machines, there would increasing problems. We have a Kenmore 22 in the garage that has worked flawlessly since 1986. So two months ago I get a glass of crushed ice for a drink, and just before downing the last bit of the drink, I spy a large screw at the bottom of the glass. Thankfully I saw it before swallowing it. It came from the front control arm of the ice maker and supports a plastic bushing which acts as a support so the ice maker water tray can go through its cycle of accepting water, passing back to the steel chilled protrusions that dip into the ice, heating up and then tilting to release the ice into the ice container below which feeds to the front dispenser. I re-installed the screw, but the ice maker refuses to completely cycle up the right side of the upper department and stops just shy of the little red switch and simply churns in an endless motor spasm. Does anyone know if there are diagnostic tests you can initiate from the front control panel to actually see where the problem is with the door open?

So I did and I was on HOLD for 65 minutes, no mention of any sort of call back which many companies now do. She ended up giving me the number for the CORPORATE OFFICE to speak to a SHELBY so I called. Guess what? Its just a number for Electrolux, no Shelby. Purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator Model #EW288S715A. Ice maker stopped working about 6 months after install. Electrolux tried and send us a new refrigerator. Within a few months the ice maker went again. Electrolux said they would sell us another new one for 40% off the retail price. Its a good thing we didnt do that deal - I have since learned that the refrigerator that they would have sold us would have had the same problem. So no ice-maker in a $4000 CDN appliance and after a few years an error message appeared on the panel.Found out that the problem with the ice maker has now caused more serious problems with the guts of the refrigerator from water damage caused by poor insulation that will cost us almost $900 CDN and will probably fail again in the near future. Electrolux know this is a problem but are not reaching out to their customers to tell them what to do - basically the company has stuck their heads in the sand hoping that purchasers of this product dont get together and go after them. I am working on starting a class action suit. Electrolux is one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world and are abusing their clients with incredibly bad designed products. I have been speaking with Electrolux customer service representatives for a week now regarding my Frigidaire range and the exploding glass that scattered all over my kitchen when I opened the oven door. Much to my disappointment, the Electrolux customer service representatives have explained to me that they have no responsibility to address this situation or provide my family with a safe oven because the range is no longer under the 12 month warranty. To say the least, I am appalled at this response. My family was exposed to glass exploding in my kitchen. My feet were cut, and my husband spent hours cleaning glass from every corner of our kitchen. We are just thankful that our young child was not in the kitchen and seriously injured. According to Electrolux customer service representatives, a slight bump of the oven door months earlier could cause the glass to explode in this manner. How is this a safe product? Our Frigidaire glass oven door exploding in our kitchen is a horrific safety hazard, and I am deeply disturbed by Electroluxs failure to rectify this situation.

We meanwhile purchased another unit from a different manufacturer and Electrolux insist to send another technician. Never seen anything like this ever before (we probably purchased 50 or 60 refrigerators over the past years). The time wasted by us, the tenant, customer service staff and money for the technicians could have bought 5 top of the line appliances... Never again and I will take Electrolux to court. No way that we spend another minute to entertain another service call. We want our money back.

I have owned this piece of crap washer since 11/12 and have had nothing but chronic problems with it. I am now facing my 13th repair on this washer next Wednesday, 1/14/15. My problems pretty much started within the first 3 months of ownership whereas the dispensing drawer on my washer would dispense laundry products (detergents, softener, bleach) without the washer A) even being on and B) a cycle having been selected.I have now had my water pump replaced twice and my dispensing drawer and its mechanism 3 times the last time being 8/14. My washer has once again started doing the same thing which is dispensing the fabric softener once poured into its compartment, without the washer even being on or any cycle being chosen. I have fought with Dracut Appliance (the retailer where the washer was purchased) to no avail from month 3 of ownership. I have fought with Electrolux repeatedly, last time being earlier this afternoon, also to no avail. I am taking this opportunity to advise anyone to AVOID BUYING ANY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCE AT ALL COSTS. They have done nothing to stand by their product since my problems started. While I do have a 5 year extended warranty through Dracut Appliances Service Contractor, its done nothing to alleviate theproblem other than to thankfully cover all of the mounting repair calls, the parts and labor for every service call. So do yourself a favor and avoid purchasing anything with the Electrolux Name on it!!!

The oven is convection and has a roast mode which was high on my must have feature list. Oven consistently cooks evenly. Overall this Range/Oven is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for this appliance.

Its a great looking fridge, however, we had many issues with it. The water in the filter freezes, causing all of the functions in the door not to work. Freezing everything placed in the veggie drawers. The ice maker works intermittently, and now only the crushed worked. Ice maker died after about one year. I really like it, but not worth the high price.

We purchased the newest gas dryer from them. It arrived damaged. We began this hell of trying to get a working unit in June 7. Everything is in business days ranging from a fictional 3-5 to 7-10. There are no customer service managers or supervisors who will call you back, to get a reply from them is 1-2 business days and the excuse is so and such was going to call you tomorrow. On June 18 we were told a unit would be delivered and installed for us. We were told they were en route to the warehouse and we would have one as soon as they got to the warehouse. It’s July 10, still nothing, never a call from anyone and on July 9th we were told they had a unit but refused to ship it to us for fear of damage to the unit. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The original unit came in a undamaged box, it was next to the washer and the washer was in mint condition. The Dryer on the other hand was boxed and shipped damaged. Its box had no signs of stress, no holes or openings and showed no signs of rebounding. The packaging material inside the box was also in perfect condition. Nothing was compressed or broken as if to show signs of absorbing a fall. The machine is gouged and the top of the machine is not attached to the body of the unit. Someone at Electrolux allowed the unit to ship out broken. We have been trying to get resolve for over a month and no one seems to care at Electrolux. There is zero sense of urgency and zero words or apology or empathy. This is one of the worst if not the worst experience of buying a product, I absolutely regret buying these appliances from them.

I will pitch in with a control panel complaint too. I had to replace panels or boards, and the clock control. It cost me about $1,000.00 to get it sorted. This on a range less than 4 years old. We expected it to last at least 8 years. And it was expensive. The repair folks indicated they see a lot of condensation problems. Electrolux hasnt got a handle on this. I contacted Electrolux and they initially seemed helpful, but they were just stringing me along. They said they would give me a reduction if I bought a new one. Right! I cant hardly afford the repairs on the one I have let alone spending another 2 grand on a new range. Stay away folks, stay away!

Bought a new front load washer and dryer from large local furniture & appliance distributor. An upgrade we thought from the used appliances we got from my fiances parents (which should be noted had last 12... yes, TWELVE years). Not even 3 months in and the washer quit. The issue - the flywheel in the back came loose, or was simply not tightened properly when built (HINT - manufacturer DEFECT!!!), and cut deep grooves in the back of the hard plastic housing, so far you can see through it. And it eventually threw the belt off, thus giving the tub no agitation to wash or spin. That was how we discovered something was broken. Completely useless washer. And that is exactly how Electrolux is now working with us (LOL) to resolve the problem. THEY are completely useless!!! Even their local authorized service company confirmed it was inoperable, that it was irreparable AND it was a manufacturer DEFECT. And to further the agony, the apparent leakage of water over probably a few weeks, has caused water damage and mold to the brand new linoleum and woodwork we put into the laundry room as part of our upgrade. And their response - file a claim with OUR insurance company and then see if theyll subrogate. WHY should we do that when YOUR APPLIANCE DEFECT caused the problem?! I say again, Electrolux is completely USELESS! NEVER again will we buy ANYTHING Electrolux. We thought these new washer & dryer were a dream, but now has turned into an incredible nightmare!Hey Electrolux, heres a noble idea... Stand behind your products and take care of the consumer and maybe even small problems will be overlooked and youll get a better reputation. NOT with us mind you, that is utterly shot to heck! Completely useless!!! In closing, AVOID ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS! Save yourselves from the insanity and stress. Weve been hassling with them almost 3 weeks now and no washer. They are a horrible company to deal with. Thank you for reading.

Electrolux washer ruined clothes - I purchased a new washer along with the dryer and pedestals in March 2012. Washer started putting bleach stains on clothes. After ruining several pieces of clothing, I called for service. The first service call was very prompt. Because bleach was involved, the tech replaced three parts, all dealing with the dispensing of the bleach. This repair didnt work. I spoke with the service company, and they indicated that there was nothing else they could do and that this problem has happened before. So after bleaching several more pieces of clothing, I called Electrolux again. They said that they needed to send someone out again, so I told them what the repair company had said. They needed verification that the machine was not repairable. It took quite some time for this to happen. I had stopped using bleach in the machine, but somehow, it was still bleaching clothes. I would call, and nobody would get back to me. Finally, after about a month and 15 pieces of ruined clothing at a cost in excess of $800, they authorized replacement of the washer. After making sure the new washer was working properly, I attempted to get reimbursement for the damaged clothing. They had me send pictures of all the damaged articles. Again, after many calls not being returned, I finally started calling every 15 or 20 minutes and leaving a message until they got tired of having to listen to all the voice mails. They only offered $150 for all the damaged clothing. Oh yeah, I have also had to have 2 service calls on the dryer. The door wasnt closing properly.

I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. If it was broke we did it and not covered. We have our old fridge downstairs. It is 10 years old and was 800.00 and would put the Electrolux to SHAME. So please stay away from this product. I decided to call back to see what was going on and it turns out that the rebate was declined because my zip code was missing from the invoice from the store, yet I entered it on the application. All the other information was identical. They state that I was notified via email but never received anything regarding it. Electrolux refused to resend the $100 gift card when I contacted customer support. I see similar rebates currently advertised on their products so I dont see why they cant just resend the gift card.

Sears came out and replaced icemaker three times. Still does not supply enough ice but you get tired of appointments and meeting repairmen to make the same repairs over and over again. The last repairman said this was a common problem with the refrigerator I have. Last weekend I pulled open the freezer drawer and it fell apart. In September of 2011 we purchased an Electrolux Wall Oven (EW30MC65JS1) as a part of a total kitchen rehab. This appliance also contains a microwave oven and is installed as a single unit: microwave above, convection oven below. Because of construction delays, the unit was not installed until summer of 2012 when it was put into residential service. Within months of the install, the microwave cooling fan would not stop running. Even after constantly cleaning the inside and leaving the door open for 30 min or more, the only way to stop the fan was to throw the breaker switch at the panel in the basement. Finally, after several weeks of this nonsense and a visit from a repairman, the microwave began to act normal. That is until April, 2014: the magnetron went, a $591.35 repair bill. I contacted Electrolux and they sent us a $99 debit card (!?). Yesterday evening I could not get the oven to turn off. About 4 hours after dinner, I went through the kitchen and noticed that the oven was still on. The control panel was showing only the time, nothing else. I turned the oven back on, then I turned it off and waited 30 min. The oven was still on pumping out heat as if it were still warming dinner. I threw the breaker switch at the panel downstairs. I waited overnight and threw the switch back this morning. The oven is now off and we do not intend to use it again. We have kept our designer current with all of the Electrolux problems and she has stopped advising clients to purchase Electrolux products. The unit cost about $3300 in 2011 and has cost at least another $750 to keep going. Given the dangerousness of the last problem with the oven not turning off Ill probably scrap it.

Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator i
Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator in September 2009. The refrigerator showed problems after I purchased the unit. The main first problem observed was the freezer and refrigerator temperatures were wondering. The digital display also had elements that burned out. The unit was out of the manufacturers warranty when this occurred. I had Sears come over to diagnose the unit and they said it was the interface board. This was in 2012 so based on other posts about their refrigerators I guess comparatively speaking I was doing pretty good. Anyway one month after the new interface board was installed the system started to wander in temperature again and would not stabilize. The Sears technician again came over and replaced the same board at additional expense. The display elements are still not working properly. The segments look like they are getting ready to burn out. We turn off the display to save this part. Now about a month ago the ice dispenser quit working. The issue appears to be the main board which is very expensive to replace. I called Electrolux and they offered me 10% off of the part; Really!!! The board is over $300. I have a friend who owns an appliance store. He told me that he has dropped the Electrolux line. I asked him why. He said when he sold their products he had a ton of circuit board problems. In fact he has a customer that has a similar problem that I had; the temperature wondering. He told me that his customer had a technician out 3-times to change out the board(s). Finally the third time appears to have fixed it however the previous times it went down - the food rotted in the unit and now has a smell that she cant get rid of. My friend is going to swap out the unit with another brand b/c he feels so bad.Anyway bottom line - refrigerators should last much longer than this. I was told Electrolux was a top notch product; NOT!!! Please stay far, far away from this brand. Youll do yourself a favor and avoid MUCH grief!!!

I purchased all 4 appliances: the refrigerator, the stove, the dishwasher and the microwave. Ive had issues with all of them. I am not exaggerating when I say I had 22 repairmen come out to fix my refrigerator, including their own engineer who flew out and spent 8 hours and even he couldnt fix the problem. Very sad! There was issues with the ice machine and sliders which left the freezer door open for I dont no how long and the light comes on when it wants to. The stove has stopped working, so of course we had to eat out on Thanksgiving and Christmas and its still not fixed. The frame around the top was bent when delivered so the whole thing had to be replaced and there were some missing screws. My dishwasher has never properly cleaned the dishes; Ive given up on having clean dishes altogether. What Im saying is if you are on the fence about purchasing Electrolux appliances, take a walk in my shoes. Its been a nightmare since I purchased my Electrolux. I dont mean to bad mouth a company but having my appliances for the short time that I have has only caused me stress and frustration. I saw some of the complaints before I made my discussion and thought that some of the people had nothing better to do but complain, but now I believe all the people that have had issues because Im living it. I’m stuck with a very bad product. I will have to live with it until the warranty run out then they will go on Craigslist. I purchased a stove in December, at first I was happy with it. After a few weeks the burner stopped working, the oven doesnt work, the racks in the oven changed color. The paint is peeling off the stove racks, when I bake the knobs are too hot to touch. When I purchased the stove I also bought extended warranty on it. I called Home Depot where I originally brought the stove and they sent someone over. The person was supposed to write a report, and send it to Electrolux. Electrolux was supposed to call us back in two weeks after that. They never called, we had to call and complain, so they sent a technician of their own over. He came to our house, took a picture of the stove and left. He then wrote in his report that we should learn to use the oven. That was very disrespectful because he didnt even bother checking anything, not only that but maybe if the stove worked properly in the first place there wouldnt be a problem. Its March right now, and no one has done anything, Electrolux just keeps giving us numbers to call because they cant do anything. What was the point of having a warranty if it doesnt do anything? Very unhappy with this product and would not recommend.

This convection / microwave was delivered 1 month ago. It is replacing a Samsung Over-The-Range convection / microwave. The Samsung was ridiculously noisy, had a weak vent fan, poor lighting, and very dim display but overall it did work pretty good. After 4 years of service it got donated to Habitat For Humanity (thanks for the tax write off). NOW I have the Electrolux convection / microwave. It was difficult to install. The holes and brackets from my previous microwave aren't in the same location. I understand that these are different brands but I've hung different microwave brands in the same location before and the mounts where pretty universal - not this time. The LED display on this device is just as dim as the one on my previous device. I guess NOBODY can create a display that's easily visible from more than 7 feet away. Now here's where the Electrolux sets itself apart,,, it looks great, the lights are bright, and the vent fan actually works really well. The interior is all stainless steel with this cool diamond pattern. It looks really nice. When using the convection oven,,, the temperatures are accurate and it bakes to perfection. It is noisy too but nowhere near as screechy and obnoxious as the Samsung. It's just the nature of convection / microwaves to be a little loud. If anyone finds a quite one please let me know. As for the buttons,,, there ARE NO buttons. It's a flat touch panel just like your smart phone. Pushing hard on a number doesn't make it work. You have to gently apply a full fingerprint over the button to get it to work and you cannot be in a hurry. It takes a little getting used to but it's really not that big a deal. This is an expensive device but it was worth it.

We bought a new home in 2015. By new, I mean just built. It came with the Electrolux ICON appliances. These appliances are not worth the money. They are poorly constructed and have been repaired several times. They even have safety defects. The Gas cooktop is poorly designed and a danger to all that own it. It needs to be recalled. The burners are placed too far forward and make it impossible to use the front burners. The flames from the burners extend too far out from the base and can easily catch your clothes on fire. The knobs on the gas cook top also turn on by mistake. They easily turn and leak gas if you lightly brush against them. Kids can easily turn them on. These are a real safety issue and need to be recalled. The ICON dishwasher has been a nightmare. It does not dry the dishes and the control panel is always going out. It just starts flickering and has to be replaced. The fridge is ok but the ice and water dispenser are poorly designed and always leave ice and water falling on the floor. I bought the top of the line appliances by Electrolux for my kitchen. The really pretty one Kelly Rippa advertises. The designers did an excellent job. Love the design and functionality of the dishwasher, fridge and stove. Sadly, the designers were wonderful, but the engineers were terrible. Dishwasher - leaves chalky residue on everything and gets error codes 11 and 1 all the time and has had several repairs that took FOREVER. Stove - needed a new board after only a few weeks. Fridge - has error code EF for evaporator fan. Ice Maker - lets just say that if they had tried to make a more terrible ice maker that it would not be possible. It cannot keep up with a family of 4 without running out. You put it on cube and it crushes the ice. I hate it. These appliances are only 6 years old and I paid a fortune for them. We have had nothing but problems with our Electrolux appliances. This is not just one model, but many different appliances. When we moved into our new house we unfortunately purchased all Electrolux including fridge, stove, dishwasher, popup vent, and over/microwave combo. This was all about three years ago. Since purchasing new appliances, the fridge has needed repair twice, the vent hood fan went out and we replaced it with a different brand (Wolf), the stove and oven have had issues and just recently our dishwasher cooked itself. It made several popping sounds and we smelt electronics burning in the kitchen, then the dishwasher shut down and wont come on again. Its now being replaced with a Bosch dishwasher.Do yourself a favor and AVOID Electrolux and their brands. They make junk. Also be careful as some brands like Kenmore use Electrolux to manufacture their goods. Do your research and stay away. I hope my review will help someone save time and money. We spent about 12K on all these new appliances and after 3 years, we are already in the process of replacing them. Getting the fridge repaired was a major hassle with their repair department. Its going to be easier for us to just purchase new appliances and start clearing our house of Electrolux. Never again Electrolux!!! You have been banned for life from my house and Ive already told hundreds of friends to stay away from your brand.

I paid for an extended warranty being told that I could get a replacement for my fridge if it broke down 3 times within the year. When the break downs continued, the repairman told me that they are not allowed to report the appliance irreparable & that they are obligated to continue to try to repair it even though that is not possible. Electrolux basically never has any intention of honoring a warranty with a new appliance. It is all a big scam to get you to pay more money & them not be on the hook for a bad product. Very disappointing from a supposed high end appliance company. The customer service there is a joke and will be so frustrating to deal with. You will want to throw your fridge out the window. They will lie to you point blank about multiple things. Too long of a list to name. FYI my fridge has been the subject of a class action because it has been proven this ice maker is bunk and does not work. But under the class action of course you get nothing -- like $100. Nothing compared to the aggravation or the cost of a new fridge.

I remodeled my kitchen and purchased both an Electrolux double oven and refrigerator in Sept 2014. We started using the oven in Dec of 2014 due to remodeling timeline. After the first oven cleaning, we had to have it repaired as one of the ovens stopped working. A common problem according to the repairman. They actually had a kit to fix it. Needed to put some kind of washer on the thermostat so it would not happen again. My oven even today runs hotter than set. We need to place a cookie sheet on the lower rack to prevent burning. Now just slightly over the 12 month warranty the welding on one of the glide oven racks did not hold and has now separated. I was very disappointed with customer service and Electrolux that they do not stand behind the oven rack and will not replace. According to the supervisor at Electrolux, an oven rack is not a functioning part and therefore is not replaceable.
