I bought a new Electrolux washer and dryer from Home Depot online in November of 2017. The dryer has not worked correctly since it was installed. After contacting Electrolux, they sent a repairman out twice to fix the problem with no resolution. The second time, after taking the dryer completely apart and replacing the motherboard and wiring harness, the dryer wont even run. Electrolux will not replace the dryer and wants more repairs done before even considering a replacement. I bought a new dryer and now its a used dryer!

Its a great looking fridge, however, we had many issues with it. The water in the filter freezes, causing all of the functions in the door not to work. Freezing everything placed in the veggie drawers. The ice maker works intermittently, and now only the crushed worked. Ice maker died after about one year. I really like it, but not worth the high price.

Ordered a new fridge freezer from Electrolux and expected delivery tomorrow. Unfortunately they have invoiced my supplier and lost my fridge so no new fridge freezer tomorrow! I telephoned Electrolux customer services... and waited... and waited... and waited. After over 10 minutes I decided too many people must be complaining about their dreadful service so I gave up, hung up and phoned my supplier to cancel. I have now ordered a fridge freezer from an alternative supplier... Electrolux? Never again!!

Narrow refrigerator. Absolutely the WORST APPLIANCE EVER. The first fridge they delivered leaked. The second was damaged. The third didnt last 18 months. When I called for service, they stood up my tenant TWICE. The fridge is an absolutely piece of garbage. Do NOT waste your money. One of the worst service departments EVER. Unfortunately I do not have to paperwork as it is at another location, but I will never EVER buy another Electrolux product. A waste of money, time and energy. If anyone is monitoring this for Electrolux, you can call me at **. As if the company cared. Bah.

If it were possible to rate Electrolux with zero stars I would have done that. I have had a nightmare of an experience with my Electrolux front loader washing machine and this was a VERY expensive machine. The first machine that was delivered to me didnt work at all so that had to be removed and another new machine brought it. That second machine worked for about 10 washes and it went out. Not only was this completely inconvenient to be without a washing machine again, and realizing that this incredible expensive machine was completely unreliable, Working with Electrolux with the warranty to have it serviced was a total nightmare. The local company they used under the warranty to come out and service the machine took almost 2 weeks to get me on their calendar so I was without a washing machine for that amount of time and I just had to wait it out, per Electrolux (thats even after going to their customer service management). When the company came to service it, they determined that it needed FOUR MAJOR PARTS REPLACED, which included a new water sensor, a new motor, new motherboard, etc. I had this SECOND new machine for less than 45 days. Not only that, but 3 of the 4 parts that needed replacing were on backorder. Electrolux was AWFUL to deal with, their customer service kept hanging up on me or passing me around when I was trying to find a solution to this problem and eventually they told me that I had to wait it out and they would get someone to service it when the parts came in. I was the one inconvenienced by their unreliable product and they had zero sympathy for my situation (including the fact that Im extremely pregnant and about to have a baby any day). I regret buying an Electrolux appliance and hope this review reaches a lot of people so others dont go through the same nightmare Ive been through with this company.

12/19/2011 purchased Electrolux washer & dryer from local appliance dealer, over $1600. Shortly afterward, problems with washer spin cycle & door lock. Local dealers authorized repairman made multiple repair attempts, problem unsolved. Dealer said WE had to contact the factory! So much for the local dealer for good service. After back and forth with factory, they agreed to replace washer with a new one. 2013 the dryer heater element failed, replaced under warranty. 2014 dryer heater element failed again. Warranty expired. Again, no help from local dealer, and no help from Electrolux. 2014 dryer motor making noise. No help from local guy, Electrolux will send a motor for half price. The second washer still has problem with spin cycle, rebooting by unplugging seems to reset and resolve the problem, so far. I mistakenly expected, after investing in new high end appliances, I would enjoy a few years of trouble free service. Wrong!

This Range/Oven had all the features I was looking for. Besides looking great, the range has a fast boil feature which saves a lot of time. The oven is convection and has a roast mode which was high on my must have feature list. Oven consistently cooks evenly. Overall this Range/Oven is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for this appliance.

From day 1 I have had problems with these machines. I had it serviced several times, the service people contacted Electrolux to discuss issues and new parts were put into the dryer and it seemed to help for a while, but now it isnt drying the clothes without extra cycles. The washer is a total wreck. The drum broke and that had to be replaced. It is so loud when it spins, it sounds like an airplane taking off. Then it was the thermostat heating the water to boiling hot on every single load even delicates. Now the front door wont stay closed. I hate, hate, hate these machines. I was just curious if there had been any recalls on these machines? Would appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks.

I bought my Electrolux wall oven model CPEB30S9DC2 in early 2007 and it has worked without incident until Jan 16 2015. That evening we were cooking and lucky we were not out of our house and only in another room when we heard the sound of electrical short coming from the kitchen. Smoke was coming from the wall oven and thought that, an element was burning out due to its approximately 7.5 years of service. Pushing the OFF button on the face did nothing and sparks smoke and a burning plastic smell was filling the room. Went directly to the power supply and turned off the circuit breaker. Being in the manufacturing business of electric steam generating appliances for over 35 years, I investigated the construction of the printed circuit board that had caught fire in the wall oven. I was surprised to discover that there was no fused protection on this internal device. This lack of conscience in the design would have in the worst case scenario allowed a fire to start in the appliance that may have transferred to the surrounding cabinetry. Lucky for us, we had the power supply disconnected within 1 minute of the short circuit and the only damage was smoke and fumes, which we can still smell in our kitchen even after removing the wall oven, cleaning the smoke soot from the cabinetry and airing out the kitchen for 24 hours. Thought I was buying a quality product when I purchased this appliance but after reading about so many different appliance recalls on the internet, I want to take my next purchase apart and study the construction before installing in my home. There are too many horror stories out there about families that have lost so much due to appliance fires. I do not understand how this design could hold a CSA mark and have been passed for certification. My next letter is to CSA. Am I the only wall oven that has a printed circuit board that has melted and caught fire. Consumer beware!!

We purchased our home with seemingly new Frigidaire/Electrolux appliances. Fridge, a GLR T217TDKD, does not seal well and hangs on hinges poorly. The gasket fell out. Microwave (model FMV156DCC) handle fell off and the machine makes an electronic whine/grind sound while cooking (and no, its not the turntable mechanism). I wonder if we are being irradiated. Dishwasher, model FDB2000RFC1, is frighteningly loud. Grind, grind, grind. Avoid Electrolux/Frigidaire like the plague. Its the Yugo of appliance makers. I am out of warranty, sadly. Whatever happened to quality?

I purchased the wave touch dishwasher ($1200.), the microwave ($600.), and the French door ice maker fridge ($2,999.) since 2009. The dishwasher was replace immediately for leaking. Now it makes a noise while running, where before you never heard it run. We have mold that builds up it, we have to take it apart, use brushes to clean the racks. I think that should be a liability for knowing my dishes are being washed with mold build-up. Disgusting. The ice maker has been replaced so many times I gave up counting. Sad part we heard the same thing, yes, we know that is a malfunction in the design of the ice maker. The ice clumps to the front of the bin, starts making a thumping noise & I have to empty so it will make new ice. Thank goodness we purchased the extended 4 yr warranty. The microwave ($600.) the latch that closes the door broke, so you cant use the thing & we had to tape it shut to keep the door from staying open. My daughter purchased their oven ($1200.) & the electronic board went out on it. Thank goodness they purchased the extended warranty. I would never tell my worst enemy to purchase any Electrolux appliance. I insisted on this product & have been unhappy since. We purchased them before retiring (knowing we would be on a limited income), hoping we would be good for at least 20 yrs, so much for that with these products. Please never buy any of their appliances, you will regret it.

We have had an Electrolux dishwasher for two years. It worked great until last week and started leaking. I called Electrolux and they stated it was not under warranty, which I knew, and they could send out a repairman. There would be an $89.95 upfront charge which would go against the labor. It was a minor repair on the drain line that took about 10 minutes. However, I had to pay another $87.02 for labor and parts. The $89.95, according to the technician, was a trip charge only. That was not how it was represented by customer service. I called back and talked to a manager that said maybe the rep I had talked to had stated it incorrectly, duh, and that they would educate them to be more specific. It was an intentional misrepresentation in my opinion and they should have know better. I could have called a local company and gotten it done much cheaper.

The product is the french door refrigerator. The ice maker does not work after doing the quick fix reported on the net. I shut down the ice maker and turn it back on for a good year. There are so many reports on this. In addition to it not working, the ice maker leaks and makes a puddle by the water dispenser. Everyone complains about the ice maker. This being the case, it is probably a bad engineering design. You would think the company would be ethical and back the product and do a recall and fix the problem but no recalls! There should be. I would like to see a class action suit against Electrolux to force them to do a recall and pay to fix the problem. I would love to talk to anyone willing to do this.

I purchased a side by side fridge at the end of 2009. Something leaked out of it, and ruined my slate floor in the fall of 2010. The repairman could not figure it out. On the third visit from another repairman for the fridge, after the control panel went up a second time, the leak was determined to come from the plug at the bottom of the door. Electrolux sent me paperwork to file a claim with their liabilities department, which I did at the beginning of October. To date, I have not heard back from them, and they will not return any calls, or emails. After spending thousands of dollars on appliances, you would think the customer service would be good. I cannot even begin to understand the total lack of customer service. I have done everything the liabilities department asked, and I would like a reimbursement for the damages to have them repaired.

Model EIFLW50LIW front load washer. Purchased June 2014. Had required (certified Electrolux) repairman (due to warranty) out several times within the first 12 months. The harness kept shaking loose and tumbler would go off balance and belt popped off. I had to wait a week or two for them to come out and then had to take off from work each time while they fixed it. The last time, they literally had all the parts on my kitchen floor and I asked them why Electrolux just did not send a new machine from the factory. Wasted 5 hours of my day, two repairmen 5 hours and I had to wait for them to come 10 days which meant going over to my mother-in-laws to do laundry. Now 12 months later the belt popped off again but I noticed that the washer was leaking. It revealed severe rubbing on the plastic which was worn through. This unit never made any rubbing noise, clanking and was not out of balance like the issue previously. I called Electrolux and told them that their certified repairmen obviously did something wrong and now it leaks and the harness shakes loose. All they could do for me is give me a break on parts. If your front load washer has belt or harness issues, demand a new one. Repairmen can make Band-Aid fixes only to a poorly manufactured item.

I bought Electrolux Fridge for a small condo. The Fridge is tall and slick, perfect from my condo that is used only 3 months a year. Problem: makes a snoring sound, water in the back of the back of the fridge, drips all the time. Sometimes it freezes. I called Electrolux from the store, they told me I have to talk to the manufacturer. They send someone but the problem remains the same. I called them again. They told me since a year has passed I have to pay one of their authorized technician to look at it, so I called a technician and paid him. He came while I was away. I assumed problem is fixed. When back in Toronto the problem is worse. Fridge has more water on the back. I called the manufacturer they said they never received a report from their technician and since a year has passed it is not their problem. Basically Electrolux does not and does not stand behind their product. They will have a reason not deal with you. I tell everyone please, please do not buy Electrolux Fridge. It is a problem. Do not judge a book by its cover. It looks good but it is the worst quality you will ever get.

My 15 year old machine packed up just before Christmas. Given that my sons family of 5 were to stay with me for 2 weeks of the holidays, I decided to buy a new machine rather than have the old one fixed. Nowadays its difficult to check machines out in showrooms, so looking online, I ordered an Electrolux front loader from Home Depot. Free installation and theyd remove the old machine at no cost. Great. Id get it taken care of before the family arrived. The machine worked for the first couple of times, but after a few days, stopped spinning. By this time, Home Depot had washed their hands of me because it was beyond their 48 hour return policy. I contacted Electrolux to request either a new machine, or my money back. They insisted on sending out a technician, who, called the support department to be informed the office was closed for the holidays.I contacted Electrolux again who said theyd send out another technician. I explained that I didnt want a 2 week old machine repaired, I either wanted a new one or my money back. Of course, this wont happen and I have to have another technician review the machine. I have now been waiting for this to happen, and calls to the support department go unanswered. In the meantime, I am becoming very familiar with my local laundromat, and so far have spent at least $100 on using their machines. Now my family has left, I have 6 lots of bedding waiting to be laundered. I cannot believe Im in this situation. I dont know where to turn to next. I think I have been treated despicably and dont feel very good about it.

Have all Electrolux kitchen appliances ($10,000) which are a little more than 4 years old. Except for the microwave, the double oven, refrigerator, dishwasher & top gas burner have had numerous problems. Lucky I have a 5 year extended service contact which will soon come to and end. Basically the appliance are made like junk... The refrigerator was replaced be the manufacturer after two days since there was moisture all over the interior of the unit. The replacement refrigerator wasnt any better. They then corked up the air ports in the refrig/freezer wall to limited the airflow which is a ridiculous fix since this restricts the circulation which a major feature of the unit. The freezer cheap plastic draws are broke (no longer slide & not under warranty). The freezer froze up and had to be taken apart to get the ice off the back coils. The water dispenser had to be replaced 4 times to get one that would stop dripping. The water & ice dispensers are poorly designed. During power outage, the freezer starts defrosting in about 4 hours resulting in a flood on the floor from the ice cube tray. Door has no restraint, when opening, to stop it from hitting the Electrolux stove handles which is next to the frig resulting in denting the stainless steel refrig door. As for the stove, the heating elements (flaw in its design) in both the top and bottom have been replaced 3 times. Expect this failure will be repeated again& again. Without the warranty, this would be a huge expense. The stove was out of commission for least 3 weeks each time. The dish washer, first day of operation (bottom shelf loaded with dishes) came out of the washer and rolled across the kitchen floor. It took the repair service several tries to jury rig a fix to solve this from happening. The dishes never get dried since there is no heat cycle and you have to manually wipe down the inside of the machine to prevent the mill due smell that will occur. The wash cycle is over an hour which is ridiculous. The machine occasionally starts by it self. Most of the internal working parts are cheap plastic.Waiting for the microwave to fail. To date, the repair service has been to my house over 12 times... Our 20 year old appliances, refrig & dishwasher, never had a problem. In fact, we have the old Whirlpool refrig in the garage. This is where we now keep all the meats and ice cream... In conclusion, there should be a class action suit against Electrolux.

My preference is NO STAR, but thats not an option. I paid $263.95 for an extended warranty only to have the tech come out and tell me the unit (refrigerator) was built defective and would need to be replaced. I waited a couple of days and received an email letting me know I need to contact the delivery company and pay an additional $169 to have the defective product removed and deliver a new unit. Electrolux sells you junk and wants more money to replace it. I called the delivery company and they are telling me, your unit is here, but its on hold. I asked the person on the other end of the line, so now what? The response was, Call Electrolux to find out why its on hold.So I call and the person tells me he wants to contact the original customer service person I spoke to and figure out whats going on. He asked if I paid the $169 and I told him no. He confirmed my number and said he would call me back. 3 hours later no call, so I decide to call Electrolux back to see whats going on. I wait on hold for 15 minutes because of the heavy volume of calls. The customer service rep answers and I explain to her whats going on and her response is, they must have gone home for the day is why I never heard back. This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! She tells me she needs my consent to release the product and I will pay on good faith once the replacement unit is delivered. I call back to the delivery company and tell them what I just did and now they are telling me, No, we do not take payment and I need to call Electrolux! I told her this doesnt make any sense and the woman said she will send Electrolux non-customer service department an email to figure out whats going on. I asked if I could at least get my name on their delivery schedule and she said no, as long as the product is on hold she cannot do that and here I am, SUPER FRUSTRATED and have no idea whats going to happen next. I will NEVER BUY from Electrolux again and will NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone. I hope this gets out to as many people as possible and makes some kind of sense.

Loved this fridge when I bought it. But it has needed several repairs and now the side is breaking out in rust spots! The water line freezes, and that has repaired and replaced. The whole freezer side door has been replaced. It is 10 yrs old now; but, the problems started about 6 yrs ago.

I believe we purchased the EFLS617SIW washer and received it in June 2016. Less than 3 months of use, a chunk of the seal tore off. We called a service technician from the alliance company and they were sending someone out to take a look. Once he arrived almost two weeks later, he was shocked at how big the tear was, said he couldnt believe I hadnt had more problems with it, but said customer service didnt put in an order for a seal so he was putting it in that day and would be back next week to install it.I was using the machine in the meantime because one, tiny drop would randomly run down the front of the washer so I put a towel under the washer just to be safe. Three weeks after that visit, the clean washer cycle was run at 4 am and my husband went to bed. I woke up at 7 am to cold water all over the floor (and our clean laundry which was on the floor) in our hallway. I cleaned up the water. 12 hours later I realized the subfloor under our new LVP flooring was swelling. Noon the next day I realized water was in our finished basement. Everywhere! In a panic, I called a restoration company who came out and realized watery had soaked into our bathroom floor, our bedroom, our kitchen subfloor, plus into the ceiling of the basement in two large sections of the basement, our basement bathroom, carpeting in two rooms in our basement, etc. It was soaking into the door frames of rooms and more.I called Electrolux and the woman I spoke with acted new, wouldnt let me speak with a supervisor stating all they would do is assign a complaint number since it is late Friday, and stated they have no emergency department I could speak with. She advised to contact the Risk Management Dept or someone would be contacting me in 2 to 4 business days. By the way, Risk Management does not have a direct line, Customer Service will have to transfer me. I have no idea how this will turn out but I am panicked they will not care. Meanwhile, our house is unlivable while we have 15 commercial drying machines and dehumidifiers in our house but we have to try to exist there.

I would avoid buying Electrolux refrigerators. They are overpriced and under engineered. My ice maker has never worked since day 1 causing a class action lawsuit against Electrolux. Poor quality caused the display to fail and one of the compressors to fail. This should not happen on a $5000 refrigerator.

My husband purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot a year ago. From the day it was installed, it has given us nothing but problems. If a dishwasher had the power to ruin a persons day, this is the model that would do that. The electronic display never works. Just never works. Push them all day to try to start a load of dishes and you get nothing but beeps. You cannot simply push the type of load and hit start, as most dishwashers allow you to do. Its all computerized and nothing works. When we finally do hit the buttons enough times to get the machine to start, it runs a cycle and the dishes come out the same as they went in - not cleaned at all.Weve called Home Depot... Weve called Electrolux - all to no avail. Electrolux sent out a serviceman who did nothing. They wouldnt accept a return for this horrible machine, yet charged over $1000 for it. Im just waiting until my husband says we should just start over and buy a new machine. He chose this one himself, so Ill probably be waiting a while. Ugh. So frustrated.

This is the frig from hell! We bought the frig a little over a year ago at the 6 month mark. It started releasing water and ice whenever it wanted... unloading the whole containers worth of ice came crashing down and then water! That happened 3 times before a service guy could get out to FIX it! Then 3 months later it did it again. This time I was able to reset it and it worked for another 3 more months. At this point it just did ice and I called for service again and they sent someone else out who replaced another computer board. It’s worked for a month and today it dispensed probably 5-10 gallons of water at 4 different times between 5 and 7:30 AM and I turned off the water to the frig and dried everything up called customer service who denied replacement because our frig is out of warranty! (by one month) but the customer service with Electrolux said they will still send someone out to look at it and fix. So unless you want to redo the floors in your kitchen and have a service coming to your house every other month this is NOT the frig of choice.

We bought an Electrolux washing machine, front loader, almost a year ago. It started leaking 11 months into our ownership. Three calls later to Electrolux, we now have had multiple parts replaced and even the motor replaced. Now the technician is telling us that he has to again replace the same part he replaced a month ago. Its complete garbage! A total lemon! Never buy!!

I have a new Electrolux microwave that was 1 year old at the time I sent in my first complaint. The Microwave/convection oven is now 1 1/2 years old and still unusable. The door is cracked, it dangles on 2 hinges instead of 4. The original complaint was a foggy door. The first Electrolux authorized repairman claimed door was dirty. Not true. The foggy door turned out to be a warning sign that the door was faulty. A few months later the microwave door bubbled up and melted itself onto the stainless steel body of the unit. 4 authorized repairmen later with repairmen taking photos and writing reports, the melted door was replaced by an authorized Electrolux repairman attempted to mount the replacement door. He didnt tell me but I saw that the door was cracked. Did Electrolux send a cracked door or did he drop it before he mounted it? Dont know. I do know he didnt tell me about the crack. He was unable to hang the door properly. He said the door was too heavy. He gouged the unit itself by trying to hang the door. He crudely marked the unit as he attempted to scratch off the melted door parts from the main unit. He left with the door dangling by 2 hinges, leaving 2 hinges floating. By pushing and pulling the door and the hinges he pulled out the inside clips so far that they push out from the inside of the unit, making the unit look swollen. He crudely took a metal tool to scratch off the melted plastic. He left me with a scratched and protruding stainless steel inside to look at. The door flips open on its own, turning on the light. The door dangles. He said not to use the unit.6 months and 6 repairmen later, Electrolux wants to send another repairman out. They do not want to replace the unit. Instead they send guys to take pics and write up reports that are far from truthful. The unit is unusable as it has been since it first melted 4 months prior, 5 months prior with the first warning of a problem and 6 repairmen later in total. All have yielded a microwave that doesnt work, many days waiting for repairmen, many photos taken by repairmen and many calls to Electrolux in Augusta, Georgia and to Sweden.Their behavior tells me they do not intend to listen to logic, take responsibility for their manufactured goods or stand by the truth. I just want what I paid for: a microwave that works and with no physical damage caused by their authorized repairmen. I am willing to let them have their flammable and damaged microwave in exchange for my money back. It seems like that would be good business practice and the right thing to do but is that their intention?

We bought all new Electrolux appliances for our kitchen 4 years ago through Appliance Factory. Within the first year the ice maker quit working. Called Brand Source and they installed an upgrade but it never made ice regularly again. By the way folks, if you have Electrolux Model EW28BS701S1 and you have ice making problems, it will never be fixed. We got used to ice cube trays and bagged ice. I recently called Brand Source for repairs on 3 of my appliances (other stories for another day) and the first thing they did was take $500 to install new mother boards. It made a small amount of ice when the tech left to never make ice again. I called Brand Source again and asked for a different tech. After 15 minutes, he took pictures inside the ice maker, called Electrolux and then told me I would get a new refrigerator. The fingers in the ice maker are defective and they have known it all along. By the time Electrolux contacted me for the fridge swap, I wanted my $500 back. Electrolux said their only concern was to get me a new fridge. I called Brand Source and they basically said it was not their problem because the ice maker was making ice when the tech left the first time. I called Appliance Factory since they were going to be the ones delivering the new fridge and she also said it was not their problem since the fridge would get sent back to Electrolux. I figured I owned the fridge since I owned the $500 mother boards in it and was told I could not keep it. Basically I paid $500 for another refrigerator that would make ice (it was a very expensive refrigerator). The replacement is quite sub par compared to the one I had. It has gray dimple sides and the drawers are cheaply made. My original fridge was all stainless steel and heavy. So far I have ice. What a scam.

Worst customer service, next to Fiat Corp, at least. On hold for 55 minutes waiting for a supervisor whom the customer service rep initially refused to get and then the supervisor refused to talk to me. I managed to call on a different phone and a helpful rep got me a supervisor in 8 minutes! Bottom line, my 2 month old Electrolux dishwasher has a plate rack that routinely collapses. After breaking several plates I decided to call for repair. They wanted me to troubleshoot, which I refused since I have moved nothing since getting the unit. The supervisor then informs me that I will be charged for the service call since the racks that hold the plates vertical are considered cosmetic and not functional and therefore not covered? Really? I dont need those racks to have my dishes cleaned? And apparently there are no actual lists of cosmetic and functional parts. It’s all arbitrary and based on what the company wants. Never another Electrolux or Frigidaire for me!

The washer started squeaking while spinning after 2 months of utilization. Called customer support and firstly they asked me if I unplugged the washer (not sure what is the connection between the 2, but ok..). Then they said that I have to pay for the service and when I told them that the appliance is in warranty they said that I have to pay to unstack the dryer (which is on top of the washer) at least (!). Be prepared to pay $135 with tax. :( They booked a service provider that was not covering my area, so I had to call again and when I told the customer support about this, he pretended he cant hear me and hung up on me. So I had to call again. I am very frustrated with the customer service as well as with the payment I have to make even if the appliance is in warranty. I will never buy Electrolux and would never recommend it to anyone. An appliance that starts making that noise after 2 months of use is not a good appliance!

When you set the oven to a pre-heat setting the oven heats up to that temperature but it doesnt maintain that temp and the temp begins to fall. Called Electrolux and they recommended a repair company and they came. They replaced the heat sensor for over $200.00 in repairs. No fix. Then called another company on our own and he replaced the motherboard, still no fix. My wifes first cousin (with my help) took the oven out of the cabinet and he found that the heating element at the bottom of the oven burnt up. Replaced that heating element and now the oven works just fine. Electrolux wanted to sell me an extended warranty on the oven for $500.00, not solving the problem. Electrolux customer services is PP even though youre paying top dollar for their product.

Update on 01/14/2019: Because we were provided with an additional year parts and labor by Electrolux, a service person came in today, January 14, and replaced the door seal. Within one hour the new door seal was leaking again. Being extremely frustrated with Electrolux and the continued issue with their washer I phoned their customer service, again, and asked to speak to a supervisor/manager. I was informed they have no program to allow for each to return their defective washer, I will have to talk to the dealer (Recker & Boerger). I informed the supervisor I did not accept her response and wanted to talk to her manager. I was informed the manager would contact me in 1-2 days. I’m furious about their defective product and the manager won’t talk to me... I have to wait. Great customer service. Out of sheer frustration I called Recker & Boerger, talk to a store manager who told me they “chose” not to take back products that have been in a home over 30 days... My advice... Stay away from any Electrolux products and Recker & Boerger in the Cincinnati area. Both have no concept of how to provide customer service. Amazing.Original: In July, 2017 my wife and I allowed a salesperson to talk us into a front loading Electrolux washer, we had always had top loaders. Also bought matching dryer and the risers for each. Nothing but trouble with both, numerous service calls on washer and dryer. The washer is loud, sometimes much awful noises, doesn’t fill immediately while making those noises, but the most recent “joy in owning an Electrolux” is the door is leaking. The door seal was replaced approximately 6-8 months ago and we just started noticing streams of water running down the front of the washer. And, because we have it on a riser, water runs into the drawer on the riser. I’ll be calling Electrolux on Monday, we’ll have another service call, might get repaired properly, and wait for the next surprise. If you live in the Cincinnati area, stay away from Recker & Boerger. Once they make a delivery...you’re on your own, talk to Electrolux. So much for customer satisfaction. Best advice I can give is stay away from Electrolux!

I called your 1-800-265-8352 number because the dryer I just purchased on December 20, 2021 and tried using for the first time yesterday (there was a delay in using the machines because a plumber was required to hook up the washing machine due to where the drain is in our house) and I discovered that there is no heat in the dryer and its not drying my clothes. I called Canadian Appliance store where I purchased the washer/dryer and they told me to call the number I mentioned. I called, waited 20+ minutes to talk to someone and when they answered there was so much static on the line it was difficult to hear. I have been on the phone for over 2 hours today. I have given the serial number, my name and address multiple times. At first the representative told me it was no longer under warranty, now hes trying to create an account and has given me an account number. Needless to say, this is extremely disappointing customer service. Apparently, a technician will be calling me tomorrow to arrange a time to come, however, given the questionable service so far and extremely poor audible quality I have no confidence that I will actually hear from someone. I tried emailing Electrolux.ca but my email was denied?! There does not seem to be a way of communicating with anyone from customer service. I tried calling again to verify an account had been created and that someone would be calling me tomorrow and that person disconnected the call. I tried calling again to verify and all 3 times it was almost impossible to hear the person on the line because of static and echo. My experience is not good. What are you willing to do to save rectify this?

There is always something wrong. Two months ago the ice maker was not freezing ice. I contacted the warranty company and they said they would send someone out. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. After cleaning up water I called the warranty company again and received a very nice lady (Pamela) and she sent someone different out. They came out and three weeks later put in a new part. That was last Friday. I still do not have ice. Phone calls (3) to Mr. Appliance have not been returned and the call to the warranty company was very abrupt. Latisha could have cared less.

Purchased a new Electrolux Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer in 2011. A year after purchase the refrigerator started breaking down. First the icemaker, then cooling/freezing, then the ice maker again. The unit was determined to be a lemon. Electrolux agreed to replace the refrigerator, and assist with repair cost. They replaced the refrigerator, and took the old one. When we asked for assistance with the cost of repair they demanded the serial/model number sticker and the original bill of sale. They were given both for the replacement. A year later the replacement refrigerator developed a pinhole in the back and began leaking water. We have now been dealing with getting a replacement for six months. At first they said they could find a replacement in our area. The appliance store that replaced the first one has a new one in their showroom. Then they said they would refund the money spent but demanded the invoice/bill of sale. We did not purchase the second refrigerator they replaced it. We do not have a bill of sale. Now they are requesting letter stating the problem, and that I take the serial/model plate from the inside of the refrigerator. When I said it is unlikely that I will be able to get it off in one piece, the representative said she knows that. All correspondence we have had with them contained the model number including the last letter on June 4, 2015. Yet, I still have to do the impossible to move to the next step. I purchased the Electrolux 32 Built in Freezer and Fridge in June 2016... after remodeling my kitchen and buying all new appliances. I decided to spend a little more for the built in freezer/fridge... what a big mistake... HUGE!! After 3 weeks, my Built in Freezer quit working. I contacted Electrolux and they sent a technician out 5 days later. The technician told us he would contact Electrolux. After waiting over almost two weeks the repairman came back out with what he thought was a fix. Unfortunately, for us, it caused the freezer to climb temperatures that were worse than before. We called Electrolux again, and they sent the same company back out to do the repair. Once again... that did not work. Once again, I contacted Electrolux. They sent out the repairman again, it was fixed by the technician who said, Im pretty sure this fixed it. Sadly, it failed again. So once again, I called. It was fixed again and worked for almost 2 months... only to find that again, I had soft ice cream and meats. Once again, I call and I am not happy. After all this and being told over and over (as I now find this seems typical for their customer service) is the repairman must deem the repair unrepairable in order for them to replace the appliance. Once I finally had another technician to my home, he indeed said that the repair was deemed unrepairable, and told Electrolux the same.Once I called Electrolux back and told them this, they said even though he deemed it unrepairable, our IT guy did not, so we are requiring him to repair it. So once again, I have gotten the run around from Electrolux. They came and repaired it now 5 times. (I called them today so it will be 6.) I have lost frozen goods, twice and now... I will end up losing frozen foods again... because its currently not working. My freezer is now only 3 months old. This is unbelievable to me. I based my decision on what my appliance company said about their refrigerator/freezer and sadly, I am hugely disappointed. I have never, ever had an experience this awful. As a matter of fact, I have never, ever written a complaint. Unfortunately, I had to write my experience to make sure the next buyer was savvy enough to find these reviews helpful with their next decision. I will never ever buy a product that has the name Electrolux on it after this experience.

New 10/2014 Have had issues with ice maker since new. Many calls to Electrolux at which I had to take numerous hours off work. Several different companies have been sent to correct problem at which it has NOT been fixed. Problem still continues and now is making noise on and off. Went before Electrolux board for replacement and was denied due to the fact the service people they use did not call from the house so to them there was not enough evidence. Duuuggghhh! Now, you know they have records of my calls and the people they sent out!! I was told by one Electrolux person that I need to have repairman call them from my house. Is that my responsibility? NO. One repair guy said, Nah no need for me to do that! I do not think it is my place to tell them anything! One repair guy told me that it was as good as it would ever be. It has always put out crushed ice from the cubed slot. To me cubed is cubed and crushed is crushed. NEVER had this issue with my other fridge. I have done tons of research and they have major issues with their ice makers, period! Monday I took off work again to have the repair guy show up and the order that had been called in (by a manager) said I was out of warranty and to charge me. Sooo, he had to leave and now we are waiting again... another day off work for yet another company to come next week! Oh yeah, and by the way they did not get anyone out after the Monday incident, I had to again take my time to call them. This is completely ridiculous and uncalled for! I really want my money back because this is fridge 5, all ice makers with way too many issues, unfixable! All within the first year! I could go on and on but this is just the tip off the iceberg. Today they told me I had to call the service guy to set my time but they had already give them a dispatch number. Called and guess what no #. Sooo again I had to call again! I think I need to be on their payroll!

Since then every time I clean the oven using the self cleaning feature, the oven comes out spotless and then refuses to work. Each time it has been repaired it has needed a new motherboard. Unfortunately, immediately after the range was installed, the oven failed to operate correctly causing a need for a service call before it could be used the first time. (Timing is everything: The new range was installed days prior to Thanksgiving and when it proved to be not functioning, plans for the holiday had to be adjusted.) Because the Icon was purchased from Sears (no local Mom and Pop appliance store carried the Icon product line nor could order it), Sears was called for repair service. Several days later, the repairman arrived, and soon he made up a list of parts that would need to be replaced. He also advised us that the parts were not available locally and that it would take 10 to 12 days before they were available. This seemed to me to be an excessively long lag time to wait for parts, so after he left, I called Electrolux and spoke with a customer service representative who was very well trained, and very knowledgeable. I learned several facts that all owners of Electrolux MUST consider, especially if the appliances were purchased from Sears. First, DO NOT CALL SEARS FOR SERVICE! Sears contracts out service repair calls to A&E, and, I was told, Electrolux no longer has a business relationship with A&E due to A&Es poor workmanship. Instead, CALL ELECTROLUX and ask for the name of the certified repair shops in your geographical area. Second, choose a repair shop from the list provided by Electrolux. Document, document, document! Once the technician has identified the parts that are needed for repair, get the names of the parts and if possible, the parts numbers. The reason for this suggestion is simple: It is possible that the repair shops parts distributor may have a 10 to 12 day lag time before parts are provided. Not having a functioning appliance for a 2 to 3 week period is excessive, I would suggest. Therefore, with the parts name and number, call Electrolux directly, order the parts, and have them shipped directly to your home address. Schedule the repairs with the service repairman, by all means, but do not be held hostage by a supply chain that does not provide for faster service than the prescribed 10 to 12 days. In the case of our Icon oven, after calling a recommended repair shop, and they had completed their own diagnosis, the part was found to be readily available, and the repair was completed 24 hours later so it was not necessary for the part to be ordered from Electrolux. Interestingly, the Sears/A&E repairman had identified two parts that needed to be replaced whereas the recommended service technician identified a total of one part. Draw your own inference to this fact. Having gone through this experience, I have learned that there is a big difference between an appliance manufacturers sales channels and its back of the office service channels. If possible, try to identify a retailer that not only sells a product, but stands behind it with its own service department (and not contract out its repair services to an A&E type vendor). And remember that just because a retailer can sell a product, there is no reason to infer that they have the ability to service it. Also, the retailers ability to sell an extended service agreement has no bearing on their ability to service the product with qualified technicians.

I own an Electrolux ICON, high-end Counter Depth refrigerator. The Ice Maker has NEVER worked properly. The fan keeps making noise and freezing up, and the ice maker refuses to fill. Ive checked every possible problem it could be, from water pressure to filter replacement and more. Something as simple as an Ice Maker / Dispenser should just work. Theyve been making ice makers for refrigerators for a long time. Its not rocket science. And, why is Electrolux able to simply ignore this problem without making it right for the customer(s), thousands of them unhappy and likely never to purchase another one again, due to horrible customer service and company unwillingness to fix the problem.

We bought a $3700 refrigerator for our new home, the ice makers kept breaking. I was told I would get a $500 rebate from Electrolux if I bought this model! At Northern Appliance in Braintree is where I was told this and it was on the card on the Refrigerator. I got a service contract for 4 years! Ice maker defects computers replaced. After the first refrigerator I had only 1 and 1/2 years the ice makers died, it was covered by the contract, this was top of the line. After Electrolux told me it was being replaced I called a company to take it away. They said they kept it for themselves. I got the replacement and it was a used or way less value Refrigerator. I called. They said that is what I get! If you can believe it 2 more defective refrigerators and a quote a few service calls from Apollo appliance Brockton Ma. They are very good! The one I have now the ice maker is still broken. I was told the motor is too close to the ice maker, melts it in the back and it breaks. This is unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator. Not sure what I should do if this one fails! Thanks you Jan

Bought 20 cuft Frigidaire freezer in Dec. 2020. Did not work correctly after 2 weeks, frosted up. Fan stopped working. Light did not work. Electrolux who now owns frigidaire, sent out service man a week later. After missing with the door the service man said he would have to order a new door and gasket. After several weeks (the freezer had now stopped working) the door and gasket where delivered. The service man never returned or answered my calls. I called electrolux. They sent out a different company. After a few weeks the service man said he would have to order some parts. He did do something with the fan motor. He did order some parts. After several weeks, 3 or 4 I called the service company and they told me that one of the parts was on back order. After 6 months the part came in. A month before I plugged in the freezer and it started working. Still frosted up and no light. The service man returned and after about 30 minutes he said it needed another part. He was not using the part we had waited over 6 months to get. A week later he returned, put some shims in the original door and everything worked right. Not end of story. The new door is still on my sun room floor on a pallet (6ft long). Its now been 8 months, They kept telling me they were going to pick it up. Now they say because its a residence they cant get it pick up, they had it DELIVERED. Now they say its up to me to dispose of it at my expense. I think I am going to try and sell it!

Their support is super ignorant and useless. We paid their expensive insurance and their unit broke. We are almost 2 months without a working unit and literally have spent close to the same amount in getting our clothes laundered vs. buying a new unit. So frustrating. We have a child that needs sanitized clothes due to a health issue. Their support is so ignorant and do not care. They got a part in and scheduled the first appointment, took almost 1 month. Then the guys got here and said, Oh the part is broken. So you think they would expediate, right? Well no, now we are waiting another month. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT OR EXTENDED SERVICES. HORRIBLE COMPANY.

In September 2013 I purchased numerous appliances for a house I was renovating. Among those were an Electrolux washer, dryer and 2 wine refrigerators. The appliances were delivered and installed in February 2014. The dryer steam valve malfunctioned in less than a year flooding the laundry room and damaging the wood floor; that was repaired under warranty. The washer malfunctioned a few months later - out of warranty - when it would not spin clothes dry. That required a service call and parts replacement for $454. About a year later the same problem arose. Another service call, another $454. Recently the problem occurred for the 3rd time. I was told that I needed a new drive belt and that the bearings were bad. The quote to repair was more than the cost of a new washer. I replaced washer and dryer with Maytag versions. The wine refrigerators have fixed shelves so close together that Burgundy style bottles cannot be placed on them without causing the shelf above to come out as well. The only solution is to skip a shelf if you need to store bottles wider than standard. Oh, yes, one of the refrigerators temperature controls no longer works.

I bought a new Electrolux refrigerator from a high end appliance store in 2013. Some reviews indicated problems with the ice maker, but I was assured they were fixed. It has never worked properly and now the freezer has stopped working. The ice maker is frozen shut and is leaking inside the refrigerator. Recently the temperature was fluctuating and ran high. I lost some food due to spoilage. Based on the other reviewers it would be a waste of time and money to call for service. I am highly disgusted and will never buy another Electrolux product. That includes Frigidaire as Electrolux owns that company.

DON’T EVER BUY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCES! September 2015 is when we purchased a new Electrolux dishwasher to replace our very old dishwasher probably over 30 years old. Never had a problem with the old dishwasher. It served its purpose but could not run anymore. We were excited to buy a new dishwasher hoping that it would sanitize and clean dishes better. Since we got the new Electrolux dishwasher in September 2015, it has broken down 6 times. Also does not clean well and I rinse everything before I place in dishwasher. It’s only 2.5 years old. Called Electrolux over 20 times getting it repaired and begging them to replace the dishwasher because we were sold a lemon. Every time they denied replacing it. There are a few inconsiderate rude Electrolux agents that I talked to and lied to me. I have been lied to many times by Electrolux agents and they keep their stories straight. I record everything; calls, notes, confirmation numbers. Horrible customer service!

The home builder said after three times they are supposed to replace the appliance and Electrolux does not want to do that. They only want to send someone out to fix again. Save your breath even if the warranty service is free and go buy a new unit from Lowes or Home Depot.

This product was purchased in December 2006 and installed in our home in April 2007 after our home remodel was completed. When we purchased this product, it came to our home from Home Depot in a box. However, after only 4 years, the freezer has stopped working. And, when the repair man came to check the product, he pointed out to us that the product had welder soot marks around the left back bottom and parts had been refurbished inside the unit. In short, the product was not a new product when we purchased it from Home Depot in 2006.When we contacted Home Depot about this matter, the appliance manager was very concerned and stated that they will be checking all products from Frigidaire for refurbished soot marks. He also stated that the freezer should not have stopped working after just a short length of time.As a result, we have contacted our attorney. Our attorney explained that his office will be contacting the FDA and also the Federal Consumer Affairs Office in Washington and request a full investigation into this matter. It is suspected that Frigidaire is selling refurbished products; and 100s of other consumers may have been scammed as well. The product arrived at my home from Home Depot in the manufacturers box and sold to us as a new product. However, the repair annalist informed us on 3 November 2011 that the product was refurbished not new!We called Frigidaire Customer Care Center today at 1-980-236-2000 and talked to a representative who had an extremely illiterate tone over the phone. In short, he basically told us to go to hell.1000s are being scammed by Electrolux Corp (Frigidaire distributor). Please investigate! Thank you.

For sure the knobs will be damaging every year for Electrolux stovetop and you need to buy every year. Very poor quality design and expensive.I have issue with Electrolux microwave too. Worst design I have ever seen. The handle screw got loose and dropped into the door and there is no option to fix the screen. When I called them, they said I need to order entire door for 600 dollars. What a design. They design their products to rob the customers for years. DONT buy any Electrolux product. Just stay away from it. Not worth buying. Very poor quality design. I got frustrated with their products at my home.

Is there a zero star rating? I am extremely dissatisfied in my Electrolux refrigerator. It is just over two years old and have had to have the main computer board replaced (twice) and the evaporator fan to the tune of $1,000! This should be under warranty for a minimum of 3-5 years for these major parts. Model Number is E23BC68JPS5. It is ridiculous to spend an additional $1K on this appliance given I already spent over 3K to purchase it not long ago.

Originally the ice maker was a major problem. Now after having received the third unit the water dispensing mechanism is not working. We had our house built 6 years ago and I just had to have the Electrolux appliance. The only thing that in my opinion that has worked well is the dish machine. The oven, cooktop, and microwave not so much. For the price I was expecting as other consumers have stated a much better product. I did not get the warranties because them in themselves were expensive as well.Lets start with the microwave because it had the least problems and lasted the longest. Two years ago the door panel came partly loose. Only I had it fixed was because I had gotten the home warranty for all household appliances and it was covered under that warranty. Along with the other two appliances that I am going to talk about. Last year the spring broke so the door would not close. My husband tried to fix it and in the midst of doing that he broke the top piece. A friend came over and saw that the door was taped shut. He asked what was wrong with it; I told him and he fixed for me. The top piece could not be fixed because it was plastic. Thank goodness he didnt charge me. He said it was a minor fix. The top piece I just laid it back on top. You couldnt tell it was detached. Now this year the microwave stop working all together. I put something in it to warm up and it did not come on DEAD. I never cooked in it anyway but dead after 5 1/2 years.Next we are going to talk about the cooktop. I picked out the 36 in induction cooktop. It was working good. I was excited I had gotten it then after 6 months the burners seem to no be cooking as well. I had to cook the food on high if I was using more than one burner because it was not cooking well and taking forever to cook. Thank goodness not was burning. I thought something was wrong but I could not figure out what it was. Then one day when I was cooking for the holidays, midway through cooking the hold cooktop shut off. At that point I had to wait for the fans to cool the cooktop off. Once that happen I had to cook everything one at a time till I was finish cooking. Needless to say I was upset. That Monday I called the Electrolux and they called a service tech out because it was still just under their warranty . When he finally came out he told me that it was a good thing it had shut itself off because it could have set the house on fire. Like that is something a home owner wants to hear. He told me he had to order the part. It took three weeks for that part to come in. No problems after that until the fourth year and it did it again. By this time I had gotten the home warranty I spoke of earlier and thank goodness for that because we had problem after problem. This time one side of the cooktop could not work. The service people sent someone to fix it. Then two months later the other side when out. They sent the same person out again. Then the other side that had been fixed went out again so he had to come back. This was every two months for 8 months. Then finally he realized something was burning out the circuit boards and fix it. No more problems but on the induction side you cannot burn the 2 burners on the same temperature or you will get an error. Thats a small price to pay for not being able to use your appliance that you paid hard earn money for 8 months. Finally we get to the double oven. The first problem I had was the Led lights went out. That was still under factory warranty. This happen two months after we moved in. The next problem again like the cooktop, the oven sensor went out, this was 6 months after we moved in. They came and fixed that. I had no problems until again like the cooktop in the 4th year. I was cooking on normal bake and the oven seem like it wasnt getting hot. Then I started using the convection bake then it seem like it was doing the same thing. One day I was standing there looking at the stove wondering what to do, my daughter said Momma I told you the bottom oven works better than the top. At that point I turned both ovens on and the bottom oven heated up faster than the top. So for a while we used the bottom oven for cooking until it was doing the same thing as the top. The problem with the oven was happening at the same time with the cooktop but it had to be 2 different work orders. The oven took longer to get fixed than the cooktop because we had to wait longer until the part to come in. So I didnt have a oven for 11 months. Because you could not use 1 oven without the other because they were on the same circuit board. Since then we can use both ovens but the bottom oven is still hotter than the top and it still heats up quicker.

I was heating up food in the microwave and a spark started to flare in the corner where the metal rack was held up by the plastic hook. It was a good thing that I didnt walk away from the microwave or who knows how large the fire could have gotten. I called the customer care number and because I didnt buy the extended warranty, they could not help me but provide me repair numbers which I would have to pay for. I asked if this kind of thing happens a lot with their products but they said no. Has anyone out there experienced the same thing I have? My appliance model is EI30MH55GSA.I just feel they should cover something like this because its a quality assurance problem that could definitely have led to a bigger problem (house/electrical fire). Why would I pay to repair this microwave when my confidence in their product has definitely wavered? I would prefer to put my money in a different manufacturer and have peace of mind. I regret buying all of their different appliances because most of them have a problem (oven time display doesnt work and refrigerator ice dispenser spits and continue to serve ice after release). We were really excited to buy their products when we bought our house believing we would receive a high end product associated with their costs, but instead we are greatly disappointed with what it really is. Beware and be wise. Do not purchase Electrolux!!!

We have a very big Electrolux fridge at our parents' house. We've had about 3 different refrigerators in the past 25 years and hands down it's the best we've ever had. The freezer is so cold that it takes less than an hour and a half for tap water to become ice. It's even colder than my ex's heart, LOL. The fridge itself is also very spacious. We never run out of space for food considering the fact that my mom has a tendency to hoard food in the ref for weeks. Everything stays nice and fresh when it's put inside our Electrolux fridge. Being that Electrolux is not really a popular refrigerator brand here (or anywhere I think), I would definitely recommend others to give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

I got the Electrolux dishwasher as a package from our home builder. We had problems from the start. Within the first year, while it was still under warranty, we had to get it serviced three times. It would not dry the dishes, the pump failed so it would discharge the water. Right now the touch controls are unusable. I have to open-close the door ~10 times before I can simply press start. Forget about selecting any custom wash cycle. Every so often even that does not work and I have to cycle the power to the unit at the fuse box. We are waiting for the unit to die to replace it. My only consolation is that I did not spend any money on service. I am never buying another Electrolux appliance again, and I am telling everyone I know to follow suit.

I hate them! We have had them for 2 years and we have had nothing but problems, and the repair man and I are on first name bases! Last week, he was here to replace the heating elements. Today, I washed 4 loads of laundry and just put the 5th load going and noticed the screen is blank but lit up. The machine is working so far, but its not done yet either! We saved and saved, and spent $1200 per unit for this! Never again! We had a front loader before and it was fine. We have a large family, 10 kids and 2 adults, so it gets used a lot and we were told this would be the perfect machine for our family. This turned out to be the biggest mistake we have ever made! I have been sure to tell my friends and family this also! We are friends with he people that sold us these machines and I shared my complaints with them as well. I will only buy Maytag and top loaders! On top of the current problem with the washer screen, it also leaks in the front and has now rusted the front of the machine because of this. A zipper took a very small nick in the rubber gasket. This by the way is the second gasket we have had on this machine and looks like number 3 at $125.00 per gasket will be on it again! I cant believe the price we paid for these in the beginning and now with repair bills. Im very unhappy!

I purchased a new home and it came with all Electrolux products. We have been in the home for four months. The following items have broken (some multiple times): - Dishwasher (electronic panel, soap dispenser, bottom rack defect - panel replaced and waiting on new soap dispenser to arrive). - Ice Maker (door broken/beeping all night long - fixed three times). - Fridge (handle broken and replaced). - Stove Hood (came dented, rubber seal not falling off in two places - still not fixed after multiple pictures, e-mails, calls, and a tech visit).- Washing Machine (Can not wash a full sheet set at one time. Soap will not dispense and load will be soaking wet. Must wash flat sheet and fitted sheet separate. All loads must be 4-5 small pieces only - Tech agreed this a problem. When I called, they saw his notes but did not have any plans outlined to fix this. It sounds as though this is not broken, but actually just the way their product works). Purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator Model #EW288S715A. Ice maker stopped working about 6 months after install. Electrolux tried and send us a new refrigerator. Within a few months the ice maker went again. Electrolux said they would sell us another new one for 40% off the retail price. Its a good thing we didnt do that deal - I have since learned that the refrigerator that they would have sold us would have had the same problem. So no ice-maker in a $4000 CDN appliance and after a few years an error message appeared on the panel.Found out that the problem with the ice maker has now caused more serious problems with the guts of the refrigerator from water damage caused by poor insulation that will cost us almost $900 CDN and will probably fail again in the near future. Electrolux know this is a problem but are not reaching out to their customers to tell them what to do - basically the company has stuck their heads in the sand hoping that purchasers of this product dont get together and go after them. I am working on starting a class action suit. Electrolux is one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world and are abusing their clients with incredibly bad designed products. Stay away from Electrolux. I was told that Bosch makes a fairly good refrigerator.

We contacted Lowe’s, and they sent a repair technician to check the machine. We have had 4 or 5 service technicians in all to come out. The machine still will not drain. One technician told us our drain pipe was too tall, so I cut the pipe to the height I was told it needed to be. The machine worked for two and a half loads and stopped draining. The last technician said because we have a septic tank, we had to put in a p-trap to keep back flow air from stopping the machine from draining. I installed the trap. It still will not drain. My wife called the technician again and was told this was not their problem. They told her that they could not keep coming out to our home. What can we do about this problem?

This convection / microwave was delivered 1 month ago. It is replacing a Samsung Over-The-Range convection / microwave. The Samsung was ridiculously noisy, had a weak vent fan, poor lighting, and very dim display but overall it did work pretty good. After 4 years of service it got donated to Habitat For Humanity (thanks for the tax write off). NOW I have the Electrolux convection / microwave. It was difficult to install. The holes and brackets from my previous microwave aren't in the same location. I understand that these are different brands but I've hung different microwave brands in the same location before and the mounts where pretty universal - not this time. The LED display on this device is just as dim as the one on my previous device. I guess NOBODY can create a display that's easily visible from more than 7 feet away. Now here's where the Electrolux sets itself apart,,, it looks great, the lights are bright, and the vent fan actually works really well. The interior is all stainless steel with this cool diamond pattern. It looks really nice. When using the convection oven,,, the temperatures are accurate and it bakes to perfection. It is noisy too but nowhere near as screechy and obnoxious as the Samsung. It's just the nature of convection / microwaves to be a little loud. If anyone finds a quite one please let me know. As for the buttons,,, there ARE NO buttons. It's a flat touch panel just like your smart phone. Pushing hard on a number doesn't make it work. You have to gently apply a full fingerprint over the button to get it to work and you cannot be in a hurry. It takes a little getting used to but it's really not that big a deal. This is an expensive device but it was worth it.

Refrigerator Model # EI23CS55GSI Side by Side w/ indoor ice and water manufactured June 2008, installed in 2009, malfunctioning since 2012! Absolutely the WORSE appliance purchase ever. Electronic control panel went out once while in warranty, replaced, 14 months later breaks again, now it doesnt even work, all I get is a readout of C for the freezer and CE for refrigerator. Still makes ice, but no water dispensing, lights work rarely, no way to manually regulate temperatures, all the drawer slider mechanisms - which were made out of very cheap plastic parts have come undone, or just broke. Called an appliance repair company and cost of new control panel is nearly $1000.00 --- absolutely ridiculous!!! This thing has had issues since first installed. Microwave works but LED readout/clock/light do not work at all. All control panel buttons on dishwasher have faded and are coming loose, and this is all in a condo I use about 3 times per week only and I am just one person. So far, (knock on wood) the gas range has worked properly. Electrolux has horrible customer service, factory authorized techs hate these products and readily admit they would never purchase them for their families, nor recommend them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH ELECTROLUX/ELECTROLUX ICON PRODUCTS!!!

I ordered a Frigidaire fridge in March of 2018 and it was delivered in August 2018. Frigidaire stated my warranty on the day it was delivered. I had the ice maker fixed 3 times and it has never worked properly. Recently, it wont even turn on. I filed a BBB complaint and Electrolux responded by saying that my warranty had expired.

Purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator at BrandsMart. A month or so later I received warranty offer to extend the warranty. I paid for it in December 2016 and forgot about it. Then at the end of January I received another invoice from same people for same appliance. I paid it not remembering that I had already paid it in December. I called the customer service line to ask why another invoice had been sent, and the customer service rep said... oh that happens all the time and you will probably get another invoice in the mail. This sounded like a very common occurrence, so I said well I paid it and should not have done so. I called my bank to stop payment on the check I wrote for a duplicate payment. Then in February I get a letter from Electrolux that I owed them $30 as a fee for the stop payment. When I called them, they insisted that I should not have done that as they processed it as if I wanted to extend the warranty out further to 6 years. What! Same bill for same period, why would I extend a 3 year warranty to 6 years when it is not even indicated as an option on the invoice? When on the invoice it only indicates up to a 3 year warranty! It all sounds like fraud to me. The extra invoices sent out trying to get people to double pay, charging a fee for stopping a duplicate payment. It seems that this is a very dishonest organization, and no one seems to care how they treat their customers.

Bought a new front load washer and dryer from large local furniture & appliance distributor. An upgrade we thought from the used appliances we got from my fiances parents (which should be noted had last 12... yes, TWELVE years). Not even 3 months in and the washer quit. The issue - the flywheel in the back came loose, or was simply not tightened properly when built (HINT - manufacturer DEFECT!!!), and cut deep grooves in the back of the hard plastic housing, so far you can see through it. And it eventually threw the belt off, thus giving the tub no agitation to wash or spin. That was how we discovered something was broken. Completely useless washer. And that is exactly how Electrolux is now working with us (LOL) to resolve the problem. THEY are completely useless!!! Even their local authorized service company confirmed it was inoperable, that it was irreparable AND it was a manufacturer DEFECT. And to further the agony, the apparent leakage of water over probably a few weeks, has caused water damage and mold to the brand new linoleum and woodwork we put into the laundry room as part of our upgrade. And their response - file a claim with OUR insurance company and then see if theyll subrogate. WHY should we do that when YOUR APPLIANCE DEFECT caused the problem?! I say again, Electrolux is completely USELESS! NEVER again will we buy ANYTHING Electrolux. We thought these new washer & dryer were a dream, but now has turned into an incredible nightmare!Hey Electrolux, heres a noble idea... Stand behind your products and take care of the consumer and maybe even small problems will be overlooked and youll get a better reputation. NOT with us mind you, that is utterly shot to heck! Completely useless!!! In closing, AVOID ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS! Save yourselves from the insanity and stress. Weve been hassling with them almost 3 weeks now and no washer. They are a horrible company to deal with. Thank you for reading.

In the first few months during which I purchased a brand new dishwasher, it began spilling out water, flooding my entire kitchen. I have had repair people service it 4 times already and still the problem persists. I called Electrolux and complained this issue is causing damage to my house. It is very inconvenient to keep changing my schedule to wait for the repair person and we have no confidence at all in putting the unit on as we fear it will flood the house. They told me that the only thing that they could do is to keep sending the repair person, as per the terms of the contract. So I am stuck with a clearly defective, faulty appliance that Electrolux continues to deny to be broken. I have scheduled a 5th visit, but judging by historical performance, I am not holding my breath.

I have a microwave that has a broken door. I have an extended warranty and have been back and forth with Electrolux trying to get the door repaired or the microwave repaired for almost 4 months already. Ive been assigned 3 different authorized service providers that did absolutely nothing but make me take days off from work for nothing. The corporate sector has done nothing to help.

Don’t invest in any Electrolux appliances! It’s way too expensive and not well made stainless steel material. In less than a year the plastic around the pullout drawer broke. When I called inquiring about it, they told me I have to replace the entire drawer that would cost me over $700. The front of the refrigerator is rusting. The inside door panel is rusting and leaving yellow stains. Terrible company to deal with.

DONT RECOMMEND TO BUY ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS!!! Bought a brand new unit of Electrolux EWT903 XW top loader washing machine last August 2015. This is 9 kg washing machine for 2 person. We also seldom use the machine since we go out of town always. The machine suddenly broke down on October 2016. Call the Electrolux Philippines head office for request to check the machine problem. The service was so bad, that it took more than 3 weeks to schedule to checkup. The Check up was done on Nov 26, and the service technician advised that the Gate valve below the machine to let the water flow out was damaged. Asked the Service Technician the cause of damage, the service Technician also dont know. Later, the Office call me, and explained the cause of damage may be as ff: 1) Electric fluctuation 2) overload. This 2 reason are so dumb stupid reason, since we seldom use the machine. My conclusion is there must a design problem for this Electrolux EWT903 EW washing machine. DONT RECOMMEND TO BUY.

Electrolux customer service is terrible. The Electrolux refrigerator we bought malfunctioned shortly after it was installed. They’ve failed to promptly repair it and their customer service people have hung up on us, lied, kept us on hold for numerous hours - all while insisting they are doing a great job. Don’t believe them. Nothing fixed and no end date in sight.
