In January, 2017 we purchased the top of the line Electrolux Washer and Gas Dryer. Shortly after the washing machine was installed, water started to leak from under the unit. It flooded our laundry room. A week later a tech showed up and diagnosed that a pump was installed incorrectly at the factory. Two weeks later it was replaced. Guess what? It continued to leak. This time I asked for a different tech to come out to ensure he knew what he was doing. He determined it was a different pump that was cracked so another part had to be ordered. By this time I was so upset that I demanded a new machine. After much negotiation, Electrolux agreed to replace the washer. Now last week, our dryer stopped working. We started to notice about a month ago that it was taking longer to dry clothes. Finally on Jan. 5th exactly one year from when we took delivery, the machine stopped working. I called Electrolux Jan. 8th and they said the one year warranty is up so I have to pay for a service call. The customer service at this company is terrible and they forget who is paying their salaries. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance and I urge others to avoid them like the plague!

I have had an ongoing issue with the ice maker nearly since I purchased the product 4 years ago. I have paid for numerous Electrolux referred service companies to come out and try to resolve the issues. They have replaced the ice making unit. They have placed massive amounts of silicon around the unit. The lines keep freezing and now, the back of the refrigerator creates blocks of ice causing massive amounts of rust. From past posts, it appears I am not alone in this situation. Electrolux has completely blown me off telling me to call their service providers. The service providers quoted me $175 service call and additional for parts and labor. Electrolux is not taking responsibility for selling me a lemon of a refrigerator. This is past the point of any repair. I have proof of this refrigerator is a lemon since the beginning but after spending thousands on the refrigerator and in repairs. This should be deemed a lemon.

In 2008, we purchased all Electrolux products from Lowes. BIG MISTAKE. The double oven has had several F10 codes, this is a runaway temperature code and the EOC board and temperature sensor have been replaced and worked one time and then failed. Do not self clean this oven, it can only took 1 time and then one of the 8 boards will burn and fail. At the moment the oven is inoperable. The fridge has had several service calls. The plastic shelves break. The dishwasher had the mother board fail immediately. I would never recommend these appliances! Lowes is no help and Electrolux customer service has no ability to assist in persistent issues. They just say that I am out of warranty. Our gas grill is our back up when we need oven/cook top.

Purchased a matching refrigerator and freezer units with a trim kit for our newly built home. Prior to installing these units, both were plugged in to ensure they worked properly. The freezer did work without issue, however the refrigerator (after three services) still doesnt hold a temperature under 70 degrees. We asked for a replacement from the company we purchased it from (Jetson of Stuart Florida) and was told that the manufacture would not authorize a replacement because the unit could not be classified as unrepairable. Called the manufacture, and was told that they had no record of any service on the refrigerator. After the manufacture called the service department at Jetsons, and discovered no service call history was forwarded to the manufacture, all that could be done was another service call had to be set up. (Runaround, runaround). Of course a technician will get the unit to work for a few hours and again it will fail, and this merry-go-round will continue. I am out $2,000 and no working refrigerator. Buyer be aware, every seller of appliances must follow the manufacture replacement policies. Once you take delivery you are stuck.

My stove is emitting a terrible burning smell. They had a service tech out and said it was bad insulation. So they replaced it and still has the same problems. I called and they came out again and said there is nothing wrong. The smell is very bad and toxic. My husband has asthma and breathing issues. I called them back and they told me they wont replace it or fix it. They are very rude. I am so frustrated and angry with this.

I purchased an Electrolux washer and a dryer from a local appliance store - Appliance World in Huntington, November 24, 2012. The washer and dryer were delivered on December 10, 2012 and were both not working. The washer was leaking water all over the floor, and the dryer was making a really loud banging sound. I have contacted Appliance World and they informed me that they have a no return policy, and that I have to work directly with Electrolux. I have contracted Electrolux and they have sent a service man to my house 3 different times to fix the problems. My washer currently seems to be working. However, the dryer is still not working - making the same loud noise. I have had to take 3 days off from work for these service calls, and Electrolux is now saying I have to have a 4th service call and that my warranty does not include replacement of the machine.

On Nov 21st, 2018 I called to schedule an appointment for my washer to be repaired and was given one right away, although I had told the representative that it would probably need a new part, the very same day I get a call from a technician saying he would come out to look at the washer which he did on Nov 23rd. On the day of the appointment he shows up looks at the appliance and within 5 minutes tells he would need to order the part and come back and that it would take about a week or so. So Ill be without a washer until then, so I called the warranty company back and explain to the corporate supervisor that a week or so is way too long so she reassures me that this will be priority and that she will put a rush on things. It is now 3 weeks later and Ive not heard back from either party, so I call the tech to ask for an update, he tells me the company took him off my case and knows nothing about the situation. I call the company back to find out what the hell happened and no one knows. Also the part was never ordered, ridiculous! So Ive been back and forth with this company. 4 supervisors later, one of them orders the part and assures me this will be given utmost priority, I get an email confirming the part is been ordered and that I should receive within a couple of days, and that a new tech company will be here on the 11th of Dec 2018 to install it. 2 days later I get an email stating that the part has been cancelled without any explanation, again no call from the warranty company, I call them to find out that again no one knows what happened no one has an explanation, at this point Im over it!! If you are reading this? DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

We purchased the washer and dryer in 2017. Was supposed to be this great pair. Well, its February 2, 2019 and the dryer just died. Cant get repair over for 4 days and who knows how long to get parts. Ive had approximately 4 other brands of washers over the years and have never had one do this. All of my washers and dryers lasted well over 10 years. NOT THIS ONE. Luckily, we are building a new home and wont take this or buy another. BEWARE!

Our experience with Electrolux has been terrible to say the least. We purchased a home that was remodeled with all brand new Electrolux appliances. The total bill was almost $11,000 for the Electrolux appliances. Since our purchase of the home, (1.5 years) we have had to replace the Electrolux dishwasher that originally cost $999 before tax, because the unit stopped working and the repair person told us that this particular model EIDW6105GS had a lot of issues. When I tried to contact Electrolux they refused to do anything for us. Thus we had to buy a new Kitchen Aid.Now our refrigerators ice maker has gone out (Model Number EW28BS70IS). Again we had a repair person out to fix it; and he alluded that this particular Icemaker by Electrolux has had many issues with the IceMaker and it cannot be repaired. The whole refrigerator would have to be replaced. And the repair person said Electrolux should replace it. However, Electrolux would not replace it. Even though they recognized it has been a problem, they will not replace it because we purchased the home with the appliance already there. It doesnt really matter who owns the house, the refrigerator has not moved, it is less than 5 years old, it cost $3,500; you would think it should last longer than 5-years. And you would think that Electrolux would be more interested in making it right with their customers when they know that this is a manufacturing issue. Everyone, just save yourself from frustration, do not purchase any Electrolux products to avoid the heartbreak of having to deal with such an inferior product and customer service. Thank you for reading my post.

Seven years ago I purchased 7 Electrolux appliances to update my kitchen. They look beautiful, but don’t function properly. We have had multiple service people to fix. Within weeks, the same issue happens. Dishwasher not emptying, oven smoking and overheating, stovetop heat very inconsistent, etc. The biggest problem is the total lack of customer service. I’m replacing all $15,000 worth after only 7 years. The only recourse I have is to warn others not to waste you’re hard earned $. You have plenty of better options out there!

We bought a $1,500, top of the line E-lux combo microwave and warm-air oven. It is our complementary oven. Our normal oven is primary. We use the microwave perhaps every other day for 1 minute warming coffee. It died, circuit board death. $600 to remove and replace it! It is less than 5 years old with less than 50 hours of use. E-lux told me tough luck. I cannot recommend their product or service. Electroluxs product is poor.

Our nightmare with our Electrolux appliances is similar to the others on this site. We purchased a fridge and had issues the first year. Husband bought the matching dishwasher before the first issue occurred with the fridge. After at least a dozen service calls between the two appliances and 2 different repair companies, Electrolux did replace the DW with the newer redesigned model. Well that was approx. 2 years ago and we are now on our 3rd issue with the new improved model. The first issue was in the first few months and a typical error code, parts replaced. We since went through a kitchen remodel last year and now the 3rd issue with this new improved DW - possible heating element out? DW doesnt seem hot and theres mold on spray arms, soap dispenser, and racks - smell is horrid. We were offered 50% off another DW after the last issue but I would never buy another Electrolux appliance. We did not buy the Electrolux matching cook top or double oven when we remodeled. The company we purchased from went out of business and the storeowner himself did the installation. When he carted our 20+ yr old Whirlpool DW away, he said it was a good model - just the baskets were old (we should have kept it)! The Electrolux manager who handled our replacement DW had verbally told me if this 2nd DW had ANY issue, they would refund the $ paid for our 1st DW. My mistake, I never got it in writing, so when the 2nd issue surfaced, I had no proof of the offer. The frustration, time spent sitting home waiting for the repair co., waiting for parts to be Fed Exd, nothing was worth the frustration and I could have written a book on my experience. I would never buy another Electrolux product.

Bought a kitchen full of Electrolux Products. Ice maker in frig has never work and 6 repair visits that has not changed. Drawer Frig has had the wire harness to the control panel replaced twice. Dishwasher has stopped working 3 times and all the program lights flash. Turning the power off for a day will reset the control panel for awhile. Am sure that wont work forever. Electrolux knows their ice maker design is bad. How many upgrade kits does it take to figure that out? The repair man that Elextrolux sends is never on time. Today he was going to be here between 10:00 and 2:00, arrived at 4:30. Products and service are terrible. When you contact Electrolux for warranty service, they ask you to take a survey and give ratings. If you checked the box to have Electrolux contact you, dont wait too long, they wont be calling. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand.

Purchased Electrolux side x side refrigerator model EI26SS56GWO, s/n 4A82217631, new in 2008. Most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased and the WORST! Issues: Motherboard just went out. Again! 3rd time in 5 years. 4 motherboards in 6 years if I choose to repair this again. Ice maker valve assembly has been replaced 4 times in 6 years. Freezer door handle cannot be secured, and thusly hangs loosely and sloppy. If my recollection is correct, I believe this unit was billed as the most quiet refrigerator ever when first released. Mine has had a loud hum since day one. Customer service, would be better served if called Customer non-service. The most uncaring do nothing customer service department I have ever encountered. BUYER BEWARE!!! I can provide more receipts when I locate them.

Our dryers door broke. When we called they sent us the wrong part. When I called to fix it, they told me that it is our fault that we have asked for the wrong part and the time period for complaints has just expired; so they cannot take it back, and I have to start a new ticket to replace the door. It is an incredibly frustrating experience to deal with people who are not only unhelpful but personally detached from their firms mistakes.

I wanted a plain basic stainless fridge but a friend was getting rid of this Electrolux so I bought it. The red high temp light is on continuously, the woman at customer service, who was very nice, told me to turn breaker off to hard reset it. Now I have the power failure light on also! We bought the Electrolux refrigerator ew23cs70153 and also an oven and washer and dryer from PC Richards. Almost $8000-$10000 in product in 2010. They are around 3 1/2 years only. Like many I thought the design was European and sleek perfect for a modern kitchen. Kelly Ripa and marketing they sure spent a lot in!!! We will never buy Electrolux again! We began to have problems right away. LED screen letters some out on oven, round iron plates around burners got rusty on the stainless steel top of oven so had to toss, inside rack you cannot take out to clean the oven, when you push clean oven it blinks and sounds with a message saying take racks out and you hit the lever in the back does release it. No way to get it out. The decals on the front showing which way to turn the dials came off, when it comes on and ignites it makes a boom sound and feels like the oven is going to blow up. We are always worried and jump.I called Electrolux customer service and they sent multiple parts to replace however sometimes had to send up to 10 times for me to finally get the correct part. Very frustrating, I scheduled a repair guy to change the screen and parts. However to date things still are breaking and it was 2-3000 dollars in price. Then on the washer and dryer, the plate inside the dryer in the back from high heat turned black and if I dry any light clothes, it sticks to it and also black gets on the clothes in high heat mode, so I can only use the medium and low heat setting only. Its almost like it is so efficient they didnt think of the parts inside holding up. What a mess. Also the front door in plastic hasnt held up nice and and has gotten cloudy so had to call Electrolux to receive new doors. The overall outside of the unit hasnt held up nice either and we bought in white. And the latest frustration is the refrigerator. When we first bought it the first month the LED screen had one of the letters that went out and when this happens you have to replace the entire screen. Also the regular refrigerator side kept freezing up. The outside easily dings especially the sides of the unit. Electrolux sent us a brand new refrigerator 6 months after we bought the original one. However it didnt stop there. During a storm the power went out and the motor blew so we had to have repair guy come out again to replace motor. We put a surge protector on after that. The latest and last straw is the water line keeps freezing up in the door so we have to keep shutting it off to defrost and then it freezes up again. I cant use the filter water at all!!!! Come to find out after reading reviews many are having this same problem. So I called Electrolux to see if they would send a new door or do anything. They said since it is out of the year and 2 year warranty they cant do anything and they can send a door out for 400 dollars. We just cant believe itI just cant believe they wont do anything when this is a known problem with their design. I asked to speak to anyone higher up and they said there is no one to speak to. We have hit a brick wall. My husband and I just cant believe they would lose a customer over this. I never blog or do reviews but these Electrolux products have been a living hell for how much they are worth! Quality and durability not worth the high price. And the hours I have spent on repairs and calling customer service has to be over 40-50 hours by now. Im 7 months pregnant and we have to buy bottled water because we can use the refrigerator water. So now we have the hose taken out of the unit to use the water, see attached pic.

I purchased by Electrolux dryer in 2/09. My major complaint was on occasion it would burn certain clothing. The grate on the back of the dryer became black. I tried to clean it to no avail. I dealt with it since it was past my extended warranty and wasnt happening all the time. Recently my dryer stopped working and I said error code E66 on the panel. I called the service number it gave me and they referred me to a service tech in the area. He came the next day stated he could fix the fuse that burned out causing the error code but the real problem is the fact that the dryer gets too hot (I have noticed that) and that is what is burning the clothing. A total of $800 to fix this problem!! A quick google search shows that this is an issue with these dryers, and from the conversation with the service agent it seems they are aware of this. They offered me a 10% discount on the parts! How generous! I choose Electrolux because of their name but that isnt worth anything anymore. Never again!

Purchased top of the line Electrolux dishwasher in 2010 (cost a fortune) and have cursed the dishwasher each and every time I took the dishes out after washing. Nothing ever came out sparkling clean from the first day I used it. The water never was hot enough because the dishwasher didnt have a heating coil to heat the water to a temperature that would give excellent results. I dropped the extended warranty and prayed and hoped it would break down and sure enough 6 years later it did just that. It was the happiest day of my dishwashing life. I promptly went out and bought a Kitchen-aid mid-range dishwasher with 3 drawers. An upper flat rack for utensils and the dishwasher is wonderful. No more Electrolux for me ever.

I purchased a new apartment sized washer dryer combo approximately 2 and a half years ago. It was always noisy when it was on the spin cycle but then the noise became unbearable so I called an authorized repair service. I was told the shaft was broken and it would cost $700 or more to repair and there was no guarantee it wouldn’t happen again, that cost me $100. I called and complained to Electrolux and they said all they would do was cover 20% of the cost of new parts which to me is next to nothing. So the lesson is if you buy from Electrolux get the extended warranty and good to you.

When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1
When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1/13/16 through 1/3/17 - a period of less than 1 year. During this period, service technicians were at our house 13 times! In addition to that time, we also spent HUNDREDS of hours on the phone with Electrolux, Frigidaire and appliance repair companies. We purchased from Sears a Frigidaire standalone freezer. The freezer was less than 1 year old when problems started which didnt bode well for the future so we purchased a 3-year extended warranty from Electrolux which handles the warranties for Frigidaire. The freezer continually developed icicles inside the door, the drain continued to freeze and condensation had nowhere to go, so thick sheets of ice then formed and built up on the bottom of the freezer to the extent that the slide-out drawer was frozen solid and could not be utilized until the frost-free freezer was defrosted to release the drawer. This required that we find a place for all of the food that was in the freezer while it defrosted. At one point the freezer stopped (while we were out of town) and we came home to more than $1,000 of food loss and a smell that still is not completely gone. Of course, that loss was not covered by Electrolux or Frigidaire. The extended warranty covers replacement of the appliance as a lemon if a part fails at least 3 times AND a repair tech says it cant be fixed. Electrolux was able to string us along for more than a year because each time a tech came out for the SAME PROBLEM, they tried to fix it by replacing a different PART and the lemon protection only applies if the SAME PART fails 3 times. (Several parts were replaced 2 times.) So they kept replacing different parts to fix the same problem and none of it worked. The first repair company finally told Electrolux, they couldnt correct the problem and were not going to keep coming out, so Electrolux assigned another company to pursue the problem. That was equally unsuccessful so they tried a third repair company. That third company also told Electrolux the freezer was not able to be fixed. Most service calls required multiple visits because the tech would come out, decide what part needed to be replaced but NEVER had the part in their vehicle so they had to go back and the part had to be ordered requiring another visit for the same service call. The parts almost never came in when expected and the repair companies rarely called to say the parts were in - so we always had to do the follow-up. Several times a single service call required 3, 4 and once even 5 trips to our house because the tech needed a different part, or there were supposed to be 2 parts but the tech showed up with only one, etc. Each trip required us to be at home and therefore we had to arrange our schedules to accommodate the technician. And we had to be available for a minimum of 4 hours because they only give you a window during which a tech will arrive and it was not unusual that the tech was running behind and wouldnt make it during the 4 hour window. On one occasion, the appointment was supposed to be between 8:00 and 12:00 and the tech finally showed up at 7:30 pm - almost 12 hours after the start of the 4-hour window. We eventually contacted state agencies, which then contacted Electrolux/Frigidaire on our behalf. Electrolux made the following offer: For a delivery/removal charge of $150, they would replace the lemon freezer with the EXACT SAME MODEL and, OUR WARRANTY WAS NOT VALID FOR THE NEW FREEZER even though there were still 2 years on the warranty we had already purchased. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM SEARS. We will never purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance. Choose your appliance carefully!

We bought a counter depth french door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. From the very beginning we have had trouble with the ice maker. They repaired it twice and it still did not work. The last time my husband called, they said they needed to order a part and we never heard from them again. We finally unhooked the water to the fridge. When Sears sent their extended warranty offer, I wrote them a letter and told them that I would not buy their warranty due to the fact that the refrigerator was not repaired by Electrolux, and Sears did not assist us in any form, so why would I purchase an extended warranty. Now, the seal on the freezer failed. We have never gotten any satisfaction from Electrolux or Sears concerning our refrigerator. So today when I went out to buy my new cooking range, I absolutely ruled out Electrolux. I will never do business or buy an electrolux product again.

In April 2008, I purchased from Lowe’s (Preston Road, Dallas, Texas) Electrolux appliances a double oven, a microwave and a dishwasher. Ive had nothing but problems with them all, but the double oven is the worst! Ive been without oven since November 21st, 2011, no oven for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have had 5 service visits with no resolution. It appears Electrolux and Lowe’s doesnt care! Dont buy from them.

We outfitted our entire home with Electrolux appliances. Since that time (June 2016) we have had nothing but problems with them. The circulating fan in the refrigerator failed within an year. Now we have to replace the door gasket on it. The door handle on the microwave broke completely off in less than two years. The control panel on the dishwasher had to be replaced in less than a year. The gas stove had an igniter failure. The freezer section door handle of the refrigerator is coming loose. The Microwave display is no longer readable it has become so dim. If you are considering Electrolux appliances do yourself a favor and go buy GE.

The microwave turn tray was turning inside the microwave and hit the inside side and caused the microwave to never heat again. Technician said it was a bad built design and they have had numerous issues with this because Electrolux icon put a metal tray inside of the microwave where as usually its a glass tray. Called Electrolux to get a discount on replacing and told me they could not help me and mind you my whole home is Electrolux. Freezer, Refrigerator, Warming tray, 36 Range, 2 Dishwasher, Wine refrigerator and mini refrigerator and they could not help me. Bad customer service so I recommend never purchasing from Electrolux. Ice maker does not work. On second unit now. French door model with ice in door.. Some times will work for a day or two. Then it stops. It might make a cube or two in a few days then it stops again. Always made low volume of cubes in a day. Maybe two small cubes. Now I have to buy ice at store and put in dispenser. We have to keep a small cup in the door under the water tube because it leaks water on the floor. I bought a $200.00 refrigerator from Craigslist and keep in garage just to make ice. $200.00 fridge better than $3000.00 Electrolux!!!

We purchased an Electrolux side by side refrig in 2010. Within that first year the icemaker stopped working continually. It happened so many times that we finally called the company. Electrolux knows their icemaker is faulty and they immediately replaced the entire refrigerator. After about a year, the icemaker on the 2nd refrig stopped functioning. It was still under warranty and the process of replacing the icemaker began. It went on for the 3 years. Now the warranty is up. The icemaker does not function and Electrolux wants NOTHING to do with the problem.

I bought an expensive Electrolux refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher in 2012. So far I have required repairs on the dishwasher (control panel went dead); stove (would not self clean) and the refrigerator has broken plastic that holds up the bins; very hard to remove drawers and put back in for cleaning. The bin handles you pull out are broken on at least 3 drawers. I bought these online thinking if I paid a very high price I would get quality - WRONG. I believe the cheap builders appliances would have been better than the Electrolux fix and repair too often.

I read a lot of reviews that stated when they called Electrolux, they were told to buy the extended service plan. I have new appliances under warranty and have had to call Electrolux on both the refrigerator and the dishwasher in the first six months. (this should tell you something about their product..) I was very disappointed both times that the next available appointment was 10 days out! This last time I called on because my ice-maker was not working. I waited the 10 days and a technician arrived to fix the problem. He switched out the pacemaker and left. The next day when I still did not have ice, I called to have them come back. They are still making me wait 10 days to get a technician out, even though they did not fix it right the first time! So do not worry about an extended warranty... just do not buy an Electrolux!

I purchased a complete set of electrolux appliances just over 2 years ago. The main control panel on my stove burnt out 3 months after purchase. The ice maker on my refrigerator has been repaired 3 times and is now done for good. I have broken cheap plastic trim on my fridge doors and the handle on my microwave broke off last week. Their customer service department is HORRIBLE. Impossible to work with. After the last issue with our ice maker, the local repairman was instructed by electrolux to pull the fridge away from the wall and check to see if there was any frost on the back of the fridge. You should have seen it. Apparently the model I have, has an insulation problem, which is why the ice maker keeps freezing up and stopping. I was told they were going to replace my fridge with a brand new unit...different model of course. BUT...I was on the hook for the delivery and replacement fee...because I was out of warranty. After 5 phone calls arguing this point...they told me I would not get the fridge...unless I agreed to pay the fee. End of discussion. RIDICULOUS. They sell me a piece of crap and I still have to pay for it. Well...its been 2 months since they promised me a new fridge..and I was forced to agree to pay the $200 delivery fee.......and its still not here. I get weekly phone calls...telling me the same story....still not in stock...but they expect it any day. I will NEVER give Electrolux/Frigidaire another dime of my money. Their stuff is JUNK!!

We bought a $3700 refrigerator for our new home, the ice makers kept breaking. I was told I would get a $500 rebate from Electrolux if I bought this model! At Northern Appliance in Braintree is where I was told this and it was on the card on the Refrigerator. I got a service contract for 4 years! Ice maker defects computers replaced. After the first refrigerator I had only 1 and 1/2 years the ice makers died, it was covered by the contract, this was top of the line. After Electrolux told me it was being replaced I called a company to take it away. They said they kept it for themselves. I got the replacement and it was a used or way less value Refrigerator. I called. They said that is what I get! If you can believe it 2 more defective refrigerators and a quote a few service calls from Apollo appliance Brockton Ma. They are very good! The one I have now the ice maker is still broken. I was told the motor is too close to the ice maker, melts it in the back and it breaks. This is unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator. Not sure what I should do if this one fails! Thanks you Jan

Electrolux Washer Model EIFLS55IIW1 - Washing machine delivered 1/25/2014.
Electrolux Washer Model EIFLS55IIW1 - Washing machine delivered 1/25/2014. Purchased matching dryer 6/1/14. Dryer control panel dies after three months. Repaired under warranty. Just short of 22 months of delivery washer does not spin out clothes. $100 for repairman to come out. Says, Broken belt. Comes back a week later with belt. But NO, not the belt, the pulley, and the pulley ate into the drum, destroying that as well. 22 months old and washer is considered totaled by repairman. However, can be fixed for $1,200 for parts and labor. Wait, I only bought this 22 months ago for $899. Now the fun, Electrolux says that it will warranty parts and that I can pay for the labor. Again, top of the line machine should of lasted at least 5 years, not 22 months!! Frigidaire washer made by Electrolux stood the test of four teenagers, dog blankets, horse blankets, etc., but the more expensive top of the line model could not stand up to two senior citizens doing normal washes, with the wife doing all the appropriate cleanings on machine. Bottom line, if I did not have the stackable set I would of not replaced it with this piece of junk. Even wife says the first machine did not clean the clothes properly, not enough water, and ran far beyond time for a load of wash. Recommendation: Stay away from the Electrolux line. Read the other comments about water, service, etc. They are not going to help and the new machine to replace was even more than the first one. No discounts, no credits. Nothing from Electrolux. Dont buy is our recommendation!

I have had this stove for about 2 months, replacing a 20 year old smooth top range. I thought this was a lot of bang for the buck with some features of much more $$$ stoves. I researched quite a bit and found the price very good @ Best Buy, since according to the salesman, the BTU rating is low for today's standards(how fast DO you need water to boil?), so the stove had been marked down for 'clearance'. It is smart looking and performs as expected. One minor mishap that one night it beeped with an error message while I was in the middle of cooking dinner and the only remedy I could find with some internet searching was to throw the circuit off and back on. It hasn't happened again. I use the stove 2-3 times a day as I cook and bake almost daily.

They have replaced so many parts and still not fixed yet. After three months waiting for technicians and parts to come, I request Electrolux to replace the unit and they rejected the request. They told me that they cant replace it until a technician tells them its non-fixable (the technician will never tell them its non-fixable because hes making money every time he comes to diagnose/repair it). Thing knocks, sticks, I fought with it with a steak knife, and have changed the expensive water filter per instruction several times. The Microwave has been serviced 4 times, the door shattered and the Warranty repair person broke the vent and he said it was not his problem as Electrolux stand behind it. The refrigerator cost $3600 had to be replaced for rust, the stove had sharp edges around the components and they had to send a man to file the edges in my home. The dishwasher simply does not wash the dishes and often simply stays on during the drying cycle. Customer service is polite, but does not have the ability to stand behind their product, so essentially there is no service or recourse for issues. I purchased a new home and bought the extended warranty from Electrolux for the appliances. Within the first year, my microwave broke 4 times. On the final time, I was told the microwave would be replaced. My microwave broke over 3 weeks ago, and initially customer service said someone would get back to me within 5 business days to approve the replacement. When I didn’t hear anything for 10 business days, I called them back. I was then told to give them another 3 business days. When I didn’t hear back AGAIN, I called them and was told that these things (meaning replacing my microwave) takes time and I should be patient, and that I could possibly be without a microwave for 2 months. Does that sound acceptable?? What modern home can go without a major appliance for that long? Their customer did not care. I spoke to a supervisor who was not helpful and kept repeating the same phrase, “I understand your frustration.” However he was not offering any solutions to my problem. He did, however, tell me that if they had to ship my microwave then I am financially responsible for the shipping and installation. If you are reading this before you purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance (Electrolux provides the extended warranty) please DON’T purchase. I bought the $3000 Electrolux ICON Professional Series Gas range because it looks great and has all the features you could want. Its been a nightmare - weve had one malfunction after another in the four years weve owned the stove and Electrolux customer services is the worst of any consumer products company Ive dealt with. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance and suggest you dont either! After dozens of attempts to solicit help with the oven, their customer service people range from clueless to nasty, and couldnt care less about getting it right for the customer. They just read their script and evade accountability. Theres obviously something seriously wrong with an oven that breaks as many times as mine has. Five issues Ive had: The first year of ownership, the oven’s glass door shattered during the self-clean cycle. The next year, the convection bake control stopped working. After self-cleaning again, the oven door locked and wouldnt open, so the power relay board needed to be replaced. Sixth months later after another self-cleaning, again the door locked and wouldnt open. This time, the authorized repairman reset the thermostat. Now theres a “boom” sound whenever I turn on the broiler, and the repairman said we need to replace two igniters. Repair costs have been exorbitant, and Electrolux has been extremely difficult to deal with. Understandably appliances can malfunction, but when this many things go wrong and Electrolux refuses to take responsibility - the bigger problem is that the company doesnt stand behind their products!

I purchased an expensive fridge from Electrolux. The ice maker never worked. The repair people came out countless times. Repair people told me the ice maker is unfixable. I paid for an extended warranty being told that I could get a replacement for my fridge if it broke down 3 times within the year. When the break downs continued, the repairman told me that they are not allowed to report the appliance irreparable & that they are obligated to continue to try to repair it even though that is not possible. Electrolux basically never has any intention of honoring a warranty with a new appliance. It is all a big scam to get you to pay more money & them not be on the hook for a bad product. Very disappointing from a supposed high end appliance company. The customer service there is a joke and will be so frustrating to deal with. You will want to throw your fridge out the window. They will lie to you point blank about multiple things. Too long of a list to name. FYI my fridge has been the subject of a class action because it has been proven this ice maker is bunk and does not work. But under the class action of course you get nothing -- like $100. After using my dryer for a couple of years now, Ive been having problems. The lint filter no longer fits smoothly. The edge sits up higher than the rest of the area in the front of the dryer and this causes clothing to get hung on the edge, thus, wrapping around other garments until a knot of twisted, knotted clothing exists. This twisting and heating of the garments actually causes wrinkling and stretching which is very difficult to get out, even no-iron clothing requires either wetting and re-drying or ironing.

We purchased the ICON Electrolux kitchen suite for our new home. From the outside, the appliances are beautiful and appear to be built with quality. However, this was not the case at all. Of the five appliances in our kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, wall oven, 6-burner stove and microwave), four of them have issues. They are less than two years old and have too many problems for this to be a top tier appliance. Refrigerator has dents on front panels from the stainless steel overlay attachment seen when you stand at a distance. The freezer drawer does not shut level. Reported this when we first moved in. Company came out and said there was nothing they could do to fix this. They blamed it on the leveling of the kitchen floor. Not so because quality of home build we have no complaints. The wire drawer in freezer pulls out crooked and often comes off track. The ice maker takes too long to make ice and makes a very loud noise when ice is dispensed from the door. The dishwasher panel lights flicker on and off. We have to hit the panel to make them stop flickering. The time clock that reflects on the floor in the kitchen stopped working about 5-6 months after we moved in and I called them to fix it and they said it was not covered because that was cosmetic. Also, the inside rubber seal has come off several times. We have to push it back into the grooves. The gas stove does not light with the starters. I have to turn on two burners. So the fire from the other burner lights the gas from the burner that will not light. The oven cooks noticeably uneven. We have to rotate our pans in the oven for the food to cook even. I may be forgetting a couple of things. But these are too many issues to have with top of the line appliances. I called customer service several times to have issues addressed. Unfortunately, we only had a one year manufacturer warranty and when you are moving into a new house with a very busy life this time flies by and then you are stuck with covering issues with an expensive extended warranty that may not even cover all the issues. Very frustrating!! I have purchased a used basic Kenmore washer and dryer for $300 and it lasted 15 years without one issue. Electrolux is a waste of money.

They do not say the sound doesnt happen but as long as it is still freezing this is okay. I am very dissatisfied with this unit. Admitting it freezes. But the noise is very aggravating. Sams club freezer is $100 cheaper and totally quiet.

I had a horrible experience with Electrolux, refrigerator, dishwasher, stoves, ovens. Their service is terrible. Do not buy anything from this company. I’ve had trouble with all their appliances. Lately I even tried to buy a filter for my fridge and they couldn’t ship it. It never came in the mail. Terrible.

Never. Ever. Ever. Ever buy an Electrolux product. Two fridges, a double oven and a stove have all failed numerous times. They have all of our records and we have had repairmen here more than 50 times. This is what they say when the oven breaks: Oh, this time its the side element. Oh, this time its the back element. Oh, sorry this time its the motherboard. The fridge? I tried to attach a video of the noise that our fridge makes all the time, after they have been out probably 8 times to fix it (maybe more, not kidding) but it wouldnt attach. DONT BUY ELECTROLUX.

Electrolux owns Frigidaire. We purchased a washer in March of 2015. 8 months later it was replaced with same model. Again 8 months later the washer needs replaced except this time I was informed that the model we had is no longer being manufactured. I asked for a refund or credit to choose something of our choice. Their response to me was that I either accept what they have to offer or case closed. What they had to offer was a machine nowhere close to an equivalent of the one we purchased. It was delivered in August of 2016 and replaced on November 7. We are now on our 4th washing machine in 18 months. We had a repairman out here on November 14 and November 30 for the same problems the previous machine was having. We now have had this piece of ??? for a month and all they want to do is send another repairman out. Instead of talking to the repairman directly they are wanting me to fill them in on the repairmans diagnosis. I insisted that they talk to them directly and wont do it. What is the point of having a repairman if they are not going to follow up with them. All I want is a refund of our money so we can go on and not have to deal with them anymore. This machine is Frigidaires top loader. It has a terrible vibrating sound. Also, the machine shuts off during a cycle and all the panel lights will flash. Another issue is the length of time it takes to wash – 60-90 minutes.

We had to create space on our kitchen counters and decided to use the area above our stove. We had the small cupboard presently in place cut done by a few inches, removed the old range cover, and installed this microwave/ convection oven. Because of the convection oven, we are able to have three ovens at that location. We have a GE double oven with the control board on the front. Sometimes we use on of the stove ovens as a warmer, which we do have the space to add.

My husband and I own a small business. Our employee scratched our customers brand new stainless steel refrigerator door. I called to order a replacement door panel. Upon receiving the part we installed it and noticed it had a light colored stripe running down the middle of the door that looks different than the rest of the refrigerator. I called customer service back right away. I sent them a picture and they tried to tell me it was like a piece of wood. That no two pieces of wood are alike. Really? How is a piece of wood and a piece of stainless steel the same? This door panel was less than quality and no one would purchase a refrigerator like that in the store. They tried to downplay and undermine the situation, making me feel like I was being unreasonable. All I wanted was to make my customer happy and her to have her refrigerator looking new again. I finally got them to agree to refund the door but they wouldnt send a new panel without receiving the other part back, so I agreed to pay for another one to be shipped. That way our customer wasnt without a fridge door in the meantime. I was told they would contact us in a few days to pick up the defective door. I also asked them to call me directly to handle the return. Instead, they called our customer the very next day and scheduled the pick up for Monday. We hadnt received the second door panel yet so I told them we werent ready to swap them out yet. They proceeded to tell me it was too late to stop the request since they had already sent it through but that UPS would leave us a shipping label. Yesterday was Monday and no shipping label. Today I called them again and they informed me to call UPS. UPS is not even aware of any labels and advised me to contact them again. I have now been told that I will have to pay the shipping plus a restocking fee for a piece of ugly metal that is below what the standard should be for a door on a refrigerator that cost close to $3K. Every single person I have spoken to has given me a different answer. The manager I spoke to tonight was rude and insensitive. They do not care about making the customer happy. They will just take your money and blow you off. It is looking like I may be out the money for the other door panel. I am afraid even if I pay the money to ship it back, they will just come up with another story as to why they cant refund me. Unbelievable! Stay far away from this company!!

We remodeled the kitchen two years ago. Since that time, we have had expensive service calls on our Electrolux wall oven, slide-in range/oven, and washer and dryer. Now, the microwave is on the blink (I have to lightly touch the start button to get it to go). And this evening, its the clothes dryer which is stuck in the pause mode and wont move! We bought seven Electrolux appliances, thinking we had the best on the market. We are now totally convinced of our stupidity! This brand is junk! We have spent hundreds of dollars in repairs and are totally disgusted with this brand.

All Electrolux Appliances were purchased for my kitchen in a remodel. Microwave model E130MH55GSA: top vent was broken and needed a replacement before the warranty was up. Electrolux did send the part free, not once but twice. They did not seem surprised. They knew of others with the same issue. Okay, happy with that. However, this model oddly does not have a turn table and there is a huge amount of moisture that develops on the floor of the unit when cooking. This causes a big mess and can be slippery and dangerous when removing items from the unit. Dont really know what to make of it. It does cook well and I never really put water in the food because of all the water that seems to come from nowhere during cooking, a bit messy. I was told by Sears and Electrolux they dont need a turn-table. However, I see that all the newer models all now have turn-tables.Now to the Electrolux gas range model EW30GF65GSB. It has been satisfactory with the exception that one of the iron grills came in damaged. Since this was new and under warranty, I was able to get a new one sent out to me free. The oven is consistently under heated. It does not get as hot as the temperature shows. I either have to cook food longer or raise the temperature. I can live with this.I also have an Electrolux refrigerator model EW23CS65GS1 and it has been problematic. Right after the warranty was up, the indoor water dispenser would continue to allow water to flow. We could not get it to stop thus running water all over the floor. By chance I figured out after a major flood on my ceramic floor nearly to the wood area that opening the door would finally stop the water flow. Company came when it was working and this flood happened all over again. It took forever to find a repairman who would come to replace the part I ordered from Electrolux. You cant get these parts anywhere in any major city I know of. I am in Austin, TX. It was repaired after weeks of waiting and arranging for a repairman. Then my filters began to fail. Right after I replaced one, it failed within the first month. I discovered this by finding a pool of water at the front of the refrigerator. With further investigation I found wet walls inside and a full pool of water at the refrigerator floor. This was a puzzle and I did not know what had caused all the water. We continued to use the water dispenser not knowing that the leaking filter was causing the spray of water on the inside, down the walls and on the unit floor. The leaking out on the floor occurred when it had nowhere else to go. It was impossible for me to get the company to replace the nearly new filter that costs around $30 plus $7 or so every 6 months to get them sent. They should have sent it for free. You cant find these for purchase in any major city I know of. Therefore you must order ahead and always pay shipping. However, there is an air filter too that needs to be replaced every 6 months for an additional $30 plus shipping because it cant be purchased in the city either. I wish it had ended there, but no, the new one failed. I have spent hours with this company just getting my call through, getting routed to the right department, waiting on hold, and waiting for parts to arrive.Electrolux advised me that I should buy an extend warranty I believe would cost me $150 or so per appliance to cover these things. Can you imagine? I purchased these appliances because Sears recommended them as dependable appliances. Sadly, this has not been the case. I did not purchase the new warranties. Then Electrolux advised me further to purchase a replacement filter housing to prevent another leak. I called my repairman who advised me to try another filter. I was unable to use the dispenser and have ice in the freezer for weeks while trying to get all this resolved and on the phone countless times and hours to attempt to get faulty filters replaced free since they were failing. I was refused over and over by representatives and even managers who told me they would not sent a free replacement and the manager hung up on me on more than one occasion. I was finally successful with repeated calls to get a manager to send the replacement without further cost. There have been no further leaks so far and no housing replacement as advised, who knows what will go next. I have had the filter in for a couple of months now with four yet to go.I have saved the best or should I say the worst appliance for last, the Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505GS0. I have had to replace the motor pump that failed out of warranty. The unit shuts down and beeps until you attend to it. It gives a digital error code to tell Electrolux and repairmen. Somehow in the process of getting the part sent from Electrolux after the standard 7-10 business days, I got not one part but two. I kept the new on for reserve; they aren’t really on top of it in the parts department apparently since they send some things twice. Finding a dishwasher repairman for Electrolux that had a good rating was a challenge. The part was finally replaced without having a dishwasher for three weeks. Then I start getting a new error and I try to get a repairman out. I tell him about the replaced motor pump and he thinks changing it out with the one I have in reserve will get it working again. Why he did this I am not sure, because once he had it installed it gave the same error code. I told him I couldnt pay him for replacing a part that he didnt provide and he did not fix the problem. I gave him minimal payment and also got a scratched up ceramic floor out of this deal. Then I began to notice that the wood floor next to the dishwasher and cabinets to the next room was wet. Now I have to have extensive wood flooring replaced. The repairman had not gotten the water supply attached properly. Even though I was unable to use the dishwasher, water continued to leak out under the cabinet to the wood floor. This is not Electrolux’s fault directly, but if their appliance was working properly in the first place, I would not have had this unit worked on thus causing the water damage to my wood flooring. I called a plumber who discovered the leak from the attachment to the dishwasher to be inadequate. The water damage may also be caused by the faulty drain valve kit. This was ordered after much time spent with Electrolux on the phone after the dishwasher repairman put on the motor pump that did not fix the problem. Electrolux representatives told me the error code required a drain valve kit. I waited past the standard 7-10 days for the part to arrive. It never did, I spent all evening and the next morning with numerous representatives to try and get drain valve kit sent. My credit card charge had already gone through and was paid without any part. It was finally determined that the part was sent to another person entirely. First I was told I would have to wait until the other party sent the part back. I complained. After much hold time then transferring, I as told to call back the next day since all the managers were now gone for the day. Today after telling my story over and over again to several representatives, more holds, and transfers, I was told they could not ship it over-night for free because a dishwasher did not have priority. Are you kidding-- I had been waiting now for 15 days with no part and no dishwasher. I bought what I was led to believe to be a dependable dishwasher for quite a sum of money that isnt doing the dishes and is costing me more time, more money, and additional home repairs. It is a priority to me. The representative hung up on me. I called again and finally got someone who put me on hold for 30 minutes but agreed to send the part I have already paid for overnight at no additional charge. Of course the story still goes on since I still dont have the part and dont know if it will get the dishwasher running. Then there is the problem with my wood floor damage. I have that to deal with too. Thanks Electrolux for wasting a lot of my time and money. I will never purchase another product from you again. I think Electrolux needs to stop selling lemon appliances and do right by their customers. I paid $7,678.81 for problematic appliances that continue to cost me time and money.

I was referred to Electrolux/Frigidaire. I called them and they booked a service call. The service man came out and said they needed to order a part that will take a few days. Never showed up again.Called Electrolux again. They promise to deliver the part within two days. I waited for more than seven days. No part arrived. Called Electrolux again. They promised that they will review my case and seek a replacement or refund for the refrigerator. I asked if I need to call again. They said no. More than seven days passed again no information. I called today Dec 24th 2020. Spoke with support staff who asked me to hold the line for more than 15 minute, this call was suspiciously ended by the support end. I called again. Another operator came on the line to say that the technician will fix it next Tuesday. Where in north America can we do without a refrigerator for two months. Above everything else what company is Electrolux/Frigidaire? Such a bad support that they cannot stand to their word. They do not return Email or calls. I will recommend that company for zero star.

I spent around $2000 for what I thought was a top of the line Electrolux washer and dryer from Home Depot. After use for a couple of weeks the dryer started leaking water from the steam valve. I would dry my clothes only to find a pool of water in the dryer and wet clothes. I called Home Depot and they told me to call Electrolux. Electrolux sent a service person and they did nothing to fix the problem. The person blamed the installer stating it was an installation issue. I spent hours on the phone, holding, getting transferred and hung up on with Home Depot and the Install company. After another two weeks the installer came back to check the install. At this point the water was leaking from the dryer back to the floor pan and water was collecting in large amounts on the floor plan. The installer found no issues and showed me where the water was coming from the back of the dryer. Back to the phones again with Electrolux. Another week and the service company came back. They replaced the steam valve and said it was likely not closing. Afterwards I used the dryer again and the water was not leaking but the dryer made a rattling noise and it was getting hot to touch on outer sides of the machine. I called Electrolux and told them I was not comfortable using the dryer. This was supposed to be a brand new top of the line machine and was causing me nothing but issues, time off from work and countless hours on the phone. The Electrolux representative said I may be eligible for a replacement and that they would put in the request and I would hear back in 48 business hours. This was on a Tuesday and by Friday I still hadnt heard back. I called Electrolux again and spoke to two different representatives; the first one said there was no update and I had to just wait. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she transfer me to a customer survey and hung up on me. The second representative said the first person did not file the request correctly and that they would put in the request again and I would need to wait another 48 business hours. Again no response within 48 hours from Electrolux. I am exhausted in dealing with this company, their poor product and customer service. If I had the option I would just return it all and get another brand. What are my rights as a consumer?

The second time Electrolux sent a service tech who came without parts left and said he would come back again the next morning. Did not show up so we have a dryer in pieces with no word back. I am writing about Electrolux EW28BS85KS5 French Door Refrigerator. This refrigerator was a replacement for the Generation One that had the terrible problem with the ice maker and was subject of a Class Action Lawsuit. My was replaced before the Class Action even started. After many many stressful conversations with Electrolux, they made me buy an extended warranty after the fact and replaced my refrigerator with this is one. I have had this fridge now about 5 and a half years. This fridge started to have temperature problems in June of this year. The temperature of the freezer and also the fridge would go haywire. It would go up then down a bit, then up to high with the alarm sounding, then down again etc. This refrigerator also developed a rusty spot on the back of the fridge where the ice maker is. Now, the rusty spot has a thick ice on it on the outside.I ended up calling out the repair company listed on Electroluxs website. They told me that the defroster is broken and needs to be replaced ($400 for the par). They also informed me that the rusty spot with the ice forming on it cannot be fixed. There is no solution for that. They called Electrolux many times and it is not fixable. They told me that I am better off getting another refrigerator. This will leak in the back, damage my hardwood floor and also cause mold to grow. Of course, I contacted Electrolux and they are no help. Nothing can be done. They cannot and will not do anything for me. I am out of the initial investment of $4K.I am shopping for another fridge. Of course, I am not happy that I have to spend $$$ on a fridge when I only had the replacement fridge for a short period of time. In my opinion 5 and half years should not be the lifespan of a fridge. Of course, I am frustrated, wouldnt you be? I am contacting the AGs office again to file a complaint. If Electrolux had the willingness to stand behind their products, it would eliminate so many customer complaints. But, they do not care of good customer service and repeat business. Too bad for them.

We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems. In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why cant we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didnt scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator. By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. There are too many of us as unsatisfied consumers with the same flawed design refrigerator complaining about Electrolux not taking action on their substandard appliances and for NOT doing the right thing.

The knobs on the gas cook top also turn on by mistake. They easily turn and leak gas if you lightly brush against them. Kids can easily turn them on. These are a real safety issue and need to be recalled. The ICON dishwasher has been a nightmare. It does not dry the dishes and the control panel is always going out. It just starts flickering and has to be replaced. The fridge is ok but the ice and water dispenser are poorly designed and always leave ice and water falling on the floor. They really need to recall the gas cook top. Parents beware!!!

We purchased our refrigerator 4.5 years ago for $925. Though everything still looks and sounds ok, it has stopped cooling and the compressor at the bottom rear gets really hot. There is apparently a 5 year warranty on the sealed unit. After several phone calls, these are the hoops we would be expected to jump through: Not just any licensed refrigeration technician will do (since we already had one look at it). We would need an authorized servicer to come and verify if it is the sealed unit that has failed. The authorized servicer would charge us and it would not be covered by Electrolux (they say they cover materials only, not labor). That said, if the authorized servicer determined that the sealed unit had failed, the compressor and the evaporator are both obsolete items not available from Electrolux, so they dont actually cover the materials. Instead, Electrolux would offer us a 10% rebate toward a new refrigerator (presumably once we purchased it from them?) So the warranty is useless and we wont be doing any of this.

We purchased our Electrolux French door refrigerator (model EW28BS85KS5) 2.5 years ago. Within days of delivery the freezer door would not stay closed, contacted Electrolux and the service company. They recommended twisted the door to get it to close and said it was repaired. Few days later door is back to opening on its own. Another company was sent out who fixed the door. All the plastic around the doors is cracking off now. Electrolux is sorry. Now both ice makers have stopped working. The top ice maker seemed to jam so my husband reached in to clear the ice and received a shock. I called and talked to Jennifer ** the Corporate Supervisor and she advised me only parts are covered. She understands how I feel but I will need to contact 1 of 2 authorized service centers for the repair of the ice makers. Very dissatisfied, Do not buy Electrolux products. My old refrigerator looked new compared to this one and it was 20 years old.

The product is the french door refrigerator. The ice maker does not work after doing the quick fix reported on the net. I shut down the ice maker and turn it back on for a good year. There are so many reports on this. In addition to it not working, the ice maker leaks and makes a puddle by the water dispenser. Everyone complains about the ice maker. This being the case, it is probably a bad engineering design. You would think the company would be ethical and back the product and do a recall and fix the problem but no recalls! There should be. I would like to see a class action suit against Electrolux to force them to do a recall and pay to fix the problem. I would love to talk to anyone willing to do this.

Absolutely dreadful product and dreadful service from Electrolux. Fridge freezer was faulty from new with excessive frost build up. Reported on several occasions and an engineer was sent out but unable to fix the problem. Electrolux failed to act despite warranty. Were left with a defunct fridge freezer. Dont make the same mistake we did. Buy from a different manufacturer.

Client purchased Microwave range hood model number (ME16H702SES) Serial number (078N7WTJ301913R) approximately 11/25/2015. After approximately 20 hours of use over the period of a year or so the keyboard on the door was nonresponsive. Flashed 12:00 repeatedly but touchpad would not respond. Electrolux Frigidaire, through their automated response system, supplied the name of a appliance repair company, Best Aid Appliances Service (760-494-6444). We contacted Best Aid Appliances on 1/15/2016. According to the receipt I have. They said they would let us know when somebody will be able to come out and inspect the microwave. A few weeks went by and we agreed on a appointment. They said they are free would be $150. And we had to charge us $75 for a diagnosis fee and $75 upon the repair of the microwave. Over the course of a month or so they arrived three times. Each time they were sent a defective part. After the third time they said they would order a new one and they would contact us in two weeks. We never heard from them. We called Frigidaire. They apologized and referred us to another appliance repair company. This company was Michaels Appliance Corporation. Phone number 818-609-0912. Michaels Appliance Repair tech came over. He was very professional and a well informed gentleman. He made three visits, each time Electrolux Frigidaire concessions sent him a defective part. He suggested I need to contact Electrolux Frigidaire and inform them about once again a defective part. He asked me to contact him when Electrolux Frigidaire sent me a new door. The new door arrived. The gentleman came back. We installed the door and once again the touch controls for a non-responsive. Once again we received a defective product or part. After speaking on the phone with Frigidaire Electrolux tech-support they informed me that the product now is out of warranty and they would not take responsibility for any defective parts they sent me prior and they could no longer assist me with the repair of their product. I explained, You have been sending me defective parts for nine months. So we have a product we paid $602 for plus a $75 diagnostic fee and still we do not have a functioning product???

Our Electrolux range now 4 years old has been plagued with problems. Wave control replaced twice, self-cleaning usage has twice fried the controls on back of range. We are being quoted $1200 in new parts plus labor to repair, money up front and no guarantee. Obviously we will be scrapping this piece of junk and buying another brand. Electrolux has now offered us 70% off another model but wont advise what model or price level. They really assume no responsibility for their products. We are also discussing the matter with a lawyer as both Electrolux and repair outlets are aware of the continuing problems but are taking responsibility for them. Our last technician also advised our range has a heat shield plate missing from it but that is my problem not theirs. I will also be contacting my home builder to advise them of our ongoing issues with Electrolux products.

I am writing for my mother. She was using an Electrolux microwave on Tuesday night and it caught fire. Fire department stated it was electrical. She is elderly with major health problems. She attempted to put the fire out; however, unable to contain the fire she called 911. Luckily, she made it out of the house, although she was not able to normally without help. She is currently staying with us. I cannot believe the extent of the damage in her house. She is displaced for two months until it is rebuilt/cleaned. The emotional turmoil she has been through (and us) has been tremendous. I am losing pay meeting with the contractors, etc. She is unable to return due to a lung condition she has until all the damage has been repaired. I will be pursuing damages and I am not a person to complain about lifes unfortunate circumstances. However, this is beyond stressful (she also just lost her husband). Hopefully this situation will be resolved.

This appliance is a piece of junk and the service has much to be desired. Bought it with other kitchen appliances while redoing the kitchen. Have only used it two months and here are my complaints: doors were dented when unit arrived, new doors were put on with seals put on backward, water filter leaks water on the floor, unit makes more noise than expected. Freezers doesnt seal. Even after service people allegedly fixed it I thought it still didnt seal. Turns out I was right. The freezer door rails need replaced according to third service company!! The electronic computer board has malfunctioned and is reading error codes. The refrigerator will not maintain cold. The evaporator fan needs replaced - not working. Some type of Unit blew out when there was some type of power outage. Now, keep in mind this is two months of use!!!!!! I am filing a lemon law complaint and complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The response of Dormont Appliance and Electrolux has been much less than stellar. DO NOT PATRONIZE EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES (for your own good!).
