Picked this up locally, and installation was fairly easy. At first we thought there was a issue with the keys as they didn't seem too responsive. We learned that you must touch and hold for a second to have it register. No biggie, just have to slow down :-) One complaint is the exhaust fan noise. It's LOUD. I have it exhausting out the top to the outside of the house. However it's very loud inside. I believe a lot of it is wind noise, because the fan is rated at a very high CFM for over the stove microwaves. My other complaint is the underside lights. They work great but they get HOT. If left on for a period of time, they will heat up the inside of the microwave. You would of thought they would have used LED's.

We purchased an Electrolux gas oven in 2013 and in October 2014, the ignition stopped working. The appliance was still under warranty and a technician came out to repair it. A month later, it stopped working again and just before Christmas a technician came again to fix it. We had to call them out 4 times by which time the ovens warranty had lapsed, so not only did they not fix it, they sent us an invoice for repairs they had not actually competently done. The technician who comes is rude and aggressive and clearly cannot fix the problem. We too, thought that paying $820 would ensure a better quality of product, but the product and their service is appalling and they have wasted our time and money. We intend to seek legal advice.

I purchased an Electrolux Refrigerator Model EW288571150 in August 2010. Since my purchase, I have had 16 service calls. Out of the 16 service calls, I believe 5 parts have been replaced. I do understand Sears policy and procedures but this can become very frustrating. I did speak to someone at Electrolux on 08-08-2012 and she did explain that my problem was with the bottom rack of my ice maker. At this point, Im now waiting on that part to be replaced and I do hope that this is the answer. The appliance is beautiful, but do constantly have to experience my refrigerator going out and losing food because of the refrigerator defrosting.

We bought all new Electrolux appliances in Mar 2010. SIDE BY SIDE BOTTOM OUT Counter Depth SS Refrigerator w/ ICE & Water, Model #EI23BCS6I51. Shortly after installation, the ice maker stopped working. Service call in Nov 2010, replaced several parts on it, working again. Believe the ice maker was replaced. In June 2012, again the ice maker is not working. Aug 2012, ice maker not working AGAIN!! Jan 2013, again ice maker not working. May 2015, the ice maker stopped working. Again the auth tech repair comes, and tells us that there is nothing else they can do. They replaced every part they could and STILL NO ICE!!! We did purchase the extended warranty, but now the warranty is expired and the service company will not even answer our phone calls or come anymore. They know what the problem is, but cant get parts from Electrolux to fix it. They have other owners who have the same problems, and they cant fix their ice maker problems either. CONSUMER BEWARE!! DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON THE ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS. This refrigerator cost us $3,000 and are VERY UNHAPPY with this piece of crap!!

Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator in September 2009. The refrigerator showed problems after I purchased the unit. The main first problem observed was the freezer and refrigerator temperatures were wondering. The digital display also had elements that burned out. The unit was out of the manufacturers warranty when this occurred. I had Sears come over to diagnose the unit and they said it was the interface board. This was in 2012 so based on other posts about their refrigerators I guess comparatively speaking I was doing pretty good. Anyway one month after the new interface board was installed the system started to wander in temperature again and would not stabilize. The Sears technician again came over and replaced the same board at additional expense. The display elements are still not working properly. The segments look like they are getting ready to burn out. We turn off the display to save this part. Now about a month ago the ice dispenser quit working. The issue appears to be the main board which is very expensive to replace. I called Electrolux and they offered me 10% off of the part; Really!!! The board is over $300. I have a friend who owns an appliance store. He told me that he has dropped the Electrolux line. I asked him why. He said when he sold their products he had a ton of circuit board problems. In fact he has a customer that has a similar problem that I had; the temperature wondering. He told me that his customer had a technician out 3-times to change out the board(s). Finally the third time appears to have fixed it however the previous times it went down - the food rotted in the unit and now has a smell that she cant get rid of. My friend is going to swap out the unit with another brand b/c he feels so bad.Anyway bottom line - refrigerators should last much longer than this. I was told Electrolux was a top notch product; NOT!!! Please stay far, far away from this brand. Youll do yourself a favor and avoid MUCH grief!!!

36 Electrolux Icon Professional Series Counter Depth French Door - For a refrigerator that costs 3700.00 you would think it would last WELL. You would be WRONG. Not a good investment. I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. If it was broke we did it and not covered. We have our old fridge downstairs. It is 10 years old and was 800.00 and would put the Electrolux to SHAME. So please stay away from this product. You will be glad you did.

I purchased a new Electrolux slide in range with a self cleaning oven in 2010. At the time I also purchased an extended warranty and am so glad that I did. Since then every time I clean the oven using the self cleaning feature, the oven comes out spotless and then refuses to work. Each time it has been repaired it has needed a new motherboard. The technicians say it is a common problem that they encounter with this model range. I love the range, it is a ceramic top...easy to clean... easy to use. I simply would like the oven to work as it is meant to. This was a $3000 range and I have been very disappointed in the design flaw of the self clean feature.

From day 1 I have had problems with these machines. I had it serviced several times, the service people contacted Electrolux to discuss issues and new parts were put into the dryer and it seemed to help for a while, but now it isnt drying the clothes without extra cycles. The washer is a total wreck. The drum broke and that had to be replaced. It is so loud when it spins, it sounds like an airplane taking off. Then it was the thermostat heating the water to boiling hot on every single load even delicates. Now the front door wont stay closed. I hate, hate, hate these machines. I was just curious if there had been any recalls on these machines? Would appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks.

In 2011, my wife and I installed Electrolux appliances in our new home: Range model EW301S65JSA; Dishwasher model EIDW6105GS1A; Microwave model E124M0451BA; and Refrigerator model EI28BS56ISD. To say that we have been disappointed would be an understatement. Over the past 3 years we have resided in the house for approximately 20 months. During that time, every one of the appliances has failed. The refrigerator stopped making ice. An Electrolux-certified repairman replaced the control board twice, replaced a faulty solenoid once, and finally replaced the entire refrigerator with a new unit. The microwave display failed after approximately 9 months, so that we are unable to read a portion. Three days ago, the dishwasher stopped in the middle of a cycle: all lights on the pad on the top of the door remained unlit; no lights appeared on the panel behind the kick plate at the base of the unit; turning off power for 30 minutes and then turning back on produced no change. The range has occasionally beeped and flashed an F11 warning, which we have resolved by turning off power for several minutes then turning back on. Today, the F11 error and beeping appeared, and after shutting off power for 30 minutes the error continues. To summarize, every Electrolux unit we purchased has let us down. Currently, two are not functioning. We will have to pay the exorbitant cost of repair. Sadly, it seems we will have to replace the units sooner than expected, and with appliances that have a better track record than Electrolux.

I bought a Bosch DW, had it installed and then discovered that it didnt have a rinse-only cycle! So, I went back to the store, upgraded to an Electrolux and had the two switched out (with extra unintended expense, by the way, as the Electrolux was just a bit taller and required that I have floor tile removed - and reinstalled - in order for it to fit). That was 4 years ago. I purchased the extended warranty, just in case. But before the original warranty expired, Id had problems with glassware being cloudy, and with a garbage odor inside the dishwasher any time used the rinse-only cycle. (I always scrape dishes before I put them in for rinsing.) Repairman could never find the reason for the odor; plumber verified that the installation was correct and no crimp in the drain line. Odor continued. After another complaint, this time because some items on the top shelf remained dirty, repairman noted that the upper spray arm was catching on the wand that supported it. Fixed it, but have had intermittent similar problems. Had not called for repair, mainly due to the inconvenience of scheduling and needing to be home for the visit, but also because of some health issues that for a while diverted my attention. Now, after a few months of finding one or two items on the top shelf looking as if hot water never reached them, I called once more. Surprise! My extended warranty expired last year!!! (Upon checking, I find that the e.w. on my Electrolux oven has expired, as well.) I was never notified of the need to renew either warranty! The customer service rep with whom I spoke about this earlier this week admitted that there had been a problem with their notification system, but suggested that I had the responsibility of keeping up with that sort of thing!! I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux product, which, by the way is nothing more than a dressed-up Frigidaire. I have Frigidaire front-loading washer and dryer, which I hate (washer door will not close properly and dryer never has dried sheets or towels on the first cycle!) and about which repairmen just make excuses. Stupid me, I didnt know that both brands were essentially the same. Bottom line, count me totally dissatisfied with both labels!!

We had to create space on our kitchen counters and decided to use the area above our stove. We had the small cupboard presently in place cut done by a few inches, removed the old range cover, and installed this microwave/ convection oven. Because of the convection oven, we are able to have three ovens at that location. We have a GE double oven with the control board on the front. Sometimes we use on of the stove ovens as a warmer, which we do have the space to add.

This has to be the worst refrigerator that I have ever owned! The water line for the water dispenser constantly freezes up. You have to defrost the fridge to get it to start working again. The ice maker just died. The clips for the drawers are always breaking so you have to replace them. The door shelves have broken. The freezer had water leaking on to the bottom and ice built up which would start to leak onto the floor. Hey... but it looks nice. Garbage! Dont ever buy one.

We have a French Door Bottom Freezer stainless steel refrigerator that we paid over $3,000 for. The ice maker had problems from the beginning. First it would ice up, now it sets off an alarm saying a power failure has occurred. The repairman charges a fortune. The insurance costs a fortune. Really? A $3,500 refrigerator with this many problems & we have to pay? We are more than angry about this. My cousin bought the same refrigerator & her mother board went out! The part had to be ordered. It cost her over $600! I will throw this out the door before I will pay that much for repairs. I bought this in June of 2009 so 5 years!! Do not by this brand!! Nothing is made to last anymore. Just a rip off. Serial #4A91513407 Model #EW28BS701IS.

I spent a total of $240 in contract and renewal for Frigidaire in the last four years and its microwave parts are not available. Electrolux said that they will replace the $250 microwave unit, but I have to pay $200 to have the new unit installed. They said that the installation of replacement unit is not specifically mentioned in the contract so its not covered. The contract says parts and labor are covered and it doesnt mention re-installation. I will go to Sears and buy a new unit and installation for $470 to replace the existing unit. Electrolux contract did not protect me or make me whole. Its a rip off.

My husband and I purchased our Electrolux fridge last November 2014. We chose it because it has a fairly reasonable price compared to other competitors like Samsung and LG. It was our first time trying out this brand and we were not disappointed. Our fridge is almost 2 years old now and it did not give us any headache. It's very spacious and cools greatly. There were also ice trays included in the fridge so that's a plus. It's also very easy to clean and it has a very sleek design! Would recommend to others for sure!

I purchased a Electrolux washer and dryer in the fall of 2015 and it has broken 4-5 times. Each time it takes 2-3 weeks for repair. This August they replaced the drum, a plastic piece that goes around the drum and the bearings. Five months later the plastic piece has started leaking a lot. So I have been out of a washer for 2 weeks now... never have I had a washer break so much... I bought it because this was suppose to be the best. Boy were they wrong!Updated on 1/15/2018: I recently wrote a review on my Electrolux washer. It was leaking water and the service person came out and said a plastic piece that wraps around the drum had cracked and they had to replace the drum, bearings and the plastic piece all had just been replaced 5 months before. It took 2 months for them to replace them 5 months ago. For 2 months I was without a washer. They replaced the part Jan 4th. The drum and plastic piece were covered in rust which is why my clothes were getting rust on them. Well 8 days later the washer will not drain. This is the fifth time since I bought the washer 2 1/2 years ago that it has broke. The insurance company says the same Part has to break 5 times before they replace it. This is the 2 or 3rd time the pump has broke. For a high-end washer this washer has been nothing but broke.

Electrolux is not living up to the no lemon clause of their service contract which states that if the same part on an appliance is replaced three times the customer is entitled to a cash settlement or another comparable appliance. This contract is not followed by Electrolux for my washer because they do not maintain the records. I have an email from them which states this. Furthermore, the local service companies they use also have no accurate records. They reuse the same service tickets and do not record the part numbers so it is impossible for the customer to make a claim. I have proof of this as well. My transmission was replaced at least four times. They lie about fixing the machine which is still broken. According to them the washer moving away from the wall and damaging components is normal and operating according to factory specifications. Is this case a candidate for a class action law suit or other action?

I purchased a refrigerator in October 2017 and by January 2018 it completely stopped staying cold. A servicer was scheduled to come out within 2 weeks so all of my food went bad. A $50 good gesture gift card was mailed out to a short time later. A few months later the exact same thing happened and I lost all of my food again. If that was not enough, in September 2018, my refrigerator stopped staying cold AGAIN and AGAIN I lost all of my food. This issue was eventually elevated to the corporate supervisors, in which I had the displeasure of speaking to Shanell out of Augusta, GA. She was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. She stated that these refrigerators are MAN MADE and thats what happens sometimes. At this time, I have been advised itll be roughly a week before anyone can come out to diagnose the issue and apparently theres only one technician in my area and he only does service work on Wednesdays. We redid our kitchen on 2012, installing a full suite of Electrolux products. The refrigerator was an odd size, so we spend a fair amount of money building cabinetry around it to make it fit. The refrigerator worked for about four and a half years and then needed the computer replaced. Since then, there have been three additional repairs needed, replacing the fan, heating coil and thermostat. The last repair was two months ago. We have spend approx. $1,200 on these repairs. The unit is now not working again. I called Electrolux to explain the situation and ask if they would be willing to assist us with the purchase of a new refrigerator, given the issues with this one. I really dont want a new one, but dont want to incur the cabinetry bills for another refrigerator as I dont know that I can find one of the same size. They said they were not willing to offer any assistance. Their products are expensive, dont last and they dont stand behind it. All good reasons to never buy any of their products.

I am writing for my mother. She was using an Electrolux microwave on Tuesday night and it caught fire. Fire department stated it was electrical. She is elderly with major health problems. She attempted to put the fire out; however, unable to contain the fire she called 911. Luckily, she made it out of the house, although she was not able to normally without help. She is currently staying with us. I cannot believe the extent of the damage in her house. She is displaced for two months until it is rebuilt/cleaned. The emotional turmoil she has been through (and us) has been tremendous. I am losing pay meeting with the contractors, etc. She is unable to return due to a lung condition she has until all the damage has been repaired. I will be pursuing damages and I am not a person to complain about lifes unfortunate circumstances. However, this is beyond stressful (she also just lost her husband). I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator and stove in July, 2014. I thought I was purchasing a reputable brand, so I didnt need to purchase an extended warranty agreement. In January 1, 2017, the refrigerator stopped cooling. I lost items in the freezer as well as the lower refrigerator section. I called a service technician referred by Lowes. He told me the diagnosis and the repair would be as much as a new refrigerator. I called Frigidaire Customer Service. They told me the only thing they could do was offer a discount on the replacement part. I still would need to pay for the labor and the part. I recently retired and cannot afford to do this nor purchase a new refrigerator. I have now been without a refrigerator since January 1, 2017. I had to begin 2 jobs to save up to hopefully purchase a refrigerator. As it stands I will not be able to do that for at least 2 months. I am very disappointed in Frigidaire/Electrolux. In the great scheme of things I may only be one consumer, but even one should matter. I had to use a computer at a school since I cannot afford internet. I left the paperwork at home so I dont have the receipt with me to add to this.

The second time Electrolux sent a service tech who came without parts left and said he would come back again the next morning. Did not show up so we have a dryer in pieces with no word back. Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances
Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances in 2009 for close to $10,000, and have fortunately renewed our warranties every three years. We have had work done on all four appliances. We are on our 3rd French door fridge with ice/water dispenser in the door. We are currently having to pay delivery and installation to replace our microwave because the one we have can not be repaired; the part is on back order for an indeterminate period of time. We still do not have a delivery date.Yesterday, we got Error 01 on our dishwasher. We looked up the error code, which said there was a leak. We checked all the connections for leaks; there was none. We read what others said were their experiences in forums and discovered that once that particular error code comes up, the dishwasher is basically done for. We tried wiping it out, drying it out with the fan trained on the open door. We cut the circuit breaker, then restored power. We unplugged and replugged. Nothing worked. Another repair order has to be made before they can determine it cannot be repaired! That means another long wait for a replacement, for which we most likely have to pay delivery and installation. Buyer beware, caveat emptor!

I bought the top of the line appliances by Electrolux for my kitchen. The really pretty one Kelly Rippa advertises. The designers did an excellent job. Love the design and functionality of the dishwasher, fridge and stove. Sadly, the designers were wonderful, but the engineers were terrible. Dishwasher - leaves chalky residue on everything and gets error codes 11 and 1 all the time and has had several repairs that took FOREVER. Stove - needed a new board after only a few weeks. Fridge - has error code EF for evaporator fan. Ice Maker - lets just say that if they had tried to make a more terrible ice maker that it would not be possible. It cannot keep up with a family of 4 without running out. You put it on cube and it crushes the ice. I hate it. These appliances are only 6 years old and I paid a fortune for them. What a shame that something designed so well is engineered so badly. I will NEVER buy anything Electrolux again!!!

Refrigerator has had ice repaired 2 times in the first 8 months & still no ice. Also had circuit boards replaced in 4 years for both fridge & freezer. It took 2 weeks to get parts as they gave wrong parts number first time to repair company. Contacting Electrolux was useless as they said they would not stand behind product. We would never buy Electrolux again with all the problems we have had. We had whirlpool for 18 years prior without one service call.

I have had an ongoing issue with the ice maker nearly since I purchased the product 4 years ago. I have paid for numerous Electrolux referred service companies to come out and try to resolve the issues. They have replaced the ice making unit. They have placed massive amounts of silicon around the unit. The lines keep freezing and now, the back of the refrigerator creates blocks of ice causing massive amounts of rust. From past posts, it appears I am not alone in this situation. Electrolux has completely blown me off telling me to call their service providers. The service providers quoted me $175 service call and additional for parts and labor. Electrolux is not taking responsibility for selling me a lemon of a refrigerator. This is past the point of any repair. I have proof of this refrigerator is a lemon since the beginning but after spending thousands on the refrigerator and in repairs. This should be deemed a lemon.

We bought all new Electrolux appliances for our kitchen 4 years ago through Appliance Factory. Within the first year the ice maker quit working. Called Brand Source and they installed an upgrade but it never made ice regularly again. By the way folks, if you have Electrolux Model EW28BS701S1 and you have ice making problems, it will never be fixed. We got used to ice cube trays and bagged ice. I recently called Brand Source for repairs on 3 of my appliances (other stories for another day) and the first thing they did was take $500 to install new mother boards. It made a small amount of ice when the tech left to never make ice again. I called Brand Source again and asked for a different tech. After 15 minutes, he took pictures inside the ice maker, called Electrolux and then told me I would get a new refrigerator. The fingers in the ice maker are defective and they have known it all along. By the time Electrolux contacted me for the fridge swap, I wanted my $500 back. Electrolux said their only concern was to get me a new fridge. I called Brand Source and they basically said it was not their problem because the ice maker was making ice when the tech left the first time. I called Appliance Factory since they were going to be the ones delivering the new fridge and she also said it was not their problem since the fridge would get sent back to Electrolux. I figured I owned the fridge since I owned the $500 mother boards in it and was told I could not keep it. Basically I paid $500 for another refrigerator that would make ice (it was a very expensive refrigerator). The replacement is quite sub par compared to the one I had. It has gray dimple sides and the drawers are cheaply made. My original fridge was all stainless steel and heavy. So far I have ice. What a scam.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator - upgrading our current appliances after a remodel. These are the first and last Electrolux items I will ever purchase. The dishwasher had continuous problems with leaking. I had numerous repair companies come out and try to repair the problem - until they told me that the only thing they could do was take the unit to their warehouse, put it up higher and see if they could possibly find the leak - no guarantee. Every technician told me that Electrolux brands are one of the worst to work on. So we got rid of the dishwasher and replaced with another brand. Now it is the refrigerator. I got an EF error code on my display and after unplugging and plugging back in the fridge as the customer service rep at Electrolux instructed me to do, the whole fridge and freezer stopped cooling. This is not the first time I have had to empty my entire fridge and freezer. If you are considering buying Electrolux, read some of the reviews on this thread. They are overpriced and poor quality appliances.

I purchased the Electrolux EBP163 refrigerator but it sounds on auto-cutoff. The problem was there from the first day itself. When I complained to the customer care they somehow replaced it with a new one but again the replaced unit is having the same problem. Now no one is listening to the complaint and the customer care people keeps cancelling the complaint given. Also an engineer contacted me and told to live with it as the sound is common & universal for all models. I suggest do not buy any Electrolux product. BAD ELECTROLUX.

Terrible customer service, I purchased double electrical range on April 22 2017, for almost 2,00.00, and my issues started. In beginning of September I notice that cooktop of range is starting melt, I called Electrolux, I was asked to send them a pictures, on September 24, 2017 so I did, once get a message that their side is not working, then second time, third time, all the same their site did not worked. Ok something wrong with email or their site. So on October 4, 2017 I decided to sent a pictures again, the same story try few times, the same reply site is not working. I contacted the local technician as per Frigidaire representative advise. Technician came in, made a picture and assure me within few days that he sent it to Frigidaire. Nothing happening. On October 24 again spoke to Frigidaire representative Quintavia and again sent the pictures, as she said that nothing is on my file. Nothing happening.Again on November 22 I spoke to Mona and again I heard that nothing is on my file, so again I resend the pictures, this time Mona called me back and confirm that she received the pictures and finally I got a case number. I was informed that the technician will have all the information from now. I spoke to technician and he told me that the new cooktop has been order and he is just waiting for its exchange, this was November 26, 2017. On December 5, technician has been still waiting for the part, on December 28 I called the Frigidaire with question when I can expect the repair to happened, and surprise I heard that nothing has been approved or ordered, and the Corporate supervisor told me that nothing can be done until January 3 2018. No apologies, no explanation, they did all properly and it seems to be my fault that I bought that range and that it is faulty. This is the worst customer service in my long life. It cost me two thousand and hours on the phone, a lot of stress. Frigidaire products are going down with quality, I am not sure, as I have a old fridge and this is one of the best, but for sure their customer service is the worst that happened to me, no one care, I felt like I was intrusion for staff and how dare I complain. If you can avoid please save yourself a lot of stress and time, spend a money with different company and have a less stress.

Purchased Electrolux side x side refrigerator model EI26SS56GWO, s/n 4A82217631, new in 2008. Most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased and the WORST! Issues: Motherboard just went out. Again! 3rd time in 5 years. 4 motherboards in 6 years if I choose to repair this again. Ice maker valve assembly has been replaced 4 times in 6 years. Freezer door handle cannot be secured, and thusly hangs loosely and sloppy. If my recollection is correct, I believe this unit was billed as the most quiet refrigerator ever when first released. Mine has had a loud hum since day one. Customer service, would be better served if called Customer non-service. The most uncaring do nothing customer service department I have ever encountered. BUYER BEWARE!!! I can provide more receipts when I locate them.

We purchased an Electrolux washer (and dryer) - our first Electrolux brand
We purchased an Electrolux washer (and dryer) - our first Electrolux brand of major appliance. We are normally careful to read reviews and check the brand out. All the reviews regarding the product features and benefits were strong. Never having had a problem with all laundry appliances we have purchased over the last 20 years or so, we failed to check the feedback on quality and service. Did check with friends and family with Electrolux laundry appliances - and they had performance concerns but did not have any service issues. Within the first 9 months, the washer developed a bottom leak (which I now see is a common problem). We are not high volume users, doing about 4 to 6 loads every month. Upon calling Electrolux, it seems that the authorized service agent in my area (the greater Boston area) can only come out 2 weeks from the day I called. Since this is the only way I can have my appliance repaired and the cost covered under the manufacturers warranty, I accepted the appointment. I think that it is reasonable to expect a problem free first year (or longer for an appliance that costs as much), as has been our experience over the last 20+ years. And, if it seems that this is a common issue, and likely a manufacturing defect. In my view, the manufacturer should stand behind their reputation and provide extended warranty coverage to address known manufacturing defects while fixing the issue in their design and production. If this were a car, I am quite sure there would be a recall to fix the problem at no cost to the owner. Fortunately, the damage caused by the water leaking is not major in our case. Nonetheless, it is not usable as it is for an extended period. So, families who may have the washer installed where there is potential for water leakage damage or who cannot function without a washer for a couple of weeks (or more), or who may not want to incur the additional maintenance costs - may wish to exclude this brand from their consideration.

For sure the knobs will be damaging every year for Electrolux stovetop and you need to buy every year. Very poor quality design and expensive.I have issue with Electrolux microwave too. Worst design I have ever seen. The handle screw got loose and dropped into the door and there is no option to fix the screen. When I called them, they said I need to order entire door for 600 dollars. What a design. They design their products to rob the customers for years. DONT buy any Electrolux product. Just stay away from it. Not worth buying. Very poor quality design. I got frustrated with their products at my home.

In 2009, we purchased all Electrolux products from Lowes. BIG MISTAKE..... The oven/cook top is now receiving the 5th service call. Do not self clean this oven.... it can only take about 10 times and then one of the 8 boards will burn and fail. The fridge has had 4 service calls. The control board for ice maker fails once a year. The plastic shelves break. The Ice maker bin broke from ice dropping into it. The microwave has had one. The dishwasher has operated with no service calls but it is not as good at fully cleaning than others I have had in the past.Lowes is no help. Electrolux customer service has no ability to assist in persistent issues. They just say we need to purchase the warranty. We could have bought a new oven with the money we have paid on repairs and the cost of a warranty would by now paid for a new oven as well. 2 weeks ago the fridge was repaired. Luckily we have a 12 year old fridge in the garage that has never had service once as a back up. Our gas grill is our back up when we need oven/cook top service once a year.

I purchased the Electrolux 32 Built in Freezer and Fridge in June 2016... after remodeling my kitchen and buying all new appliances. I decided to spend a little more for the built in freezer/fridge... what a big mistake... HUGE!! After 3 weeks, my Built in Freezer quit working. I contacted Electrolux and they sent a technician out 5 days later. The technician told us he would contact Electrolux. After waiting over almost two weeks the repairman came back out with what he thought was a fix. Unfortunately, for us, it caused the freezer to climb temperatures that were worse than before. We called Electrolux again, and they sent the same company back out to do the repair. Once again... that did not work. Once again, I contacted Electrolux. They sent out the repairman again, it was fixed by the technician who said, Im pretty sure this fixed it. Sadly, it failed again. So once again, I called. It was fixed again and worked for almost 2 months... only to find that again, I had soft ice cream and meats. Once again, I call and I am not happy. After all this and being told over and over (as I now find this seems typical for their customer service) is the repairman must deem the repair unrepairable in order for them to replace the appliance. Once I finally had another technician to my home, he indeed said that the repair was deemed unrepairable, and told Electrolux the same.Once I called Electrolux back and told them this, they said even though he deemed it unrepairable, our IT guy did not, so we are requiring him to repair it. So once again, I have gotten the run around from Electrolux. They came and repaired it now 5 times. (I called them today so it will be 6.) I have lost frozen goods, twice and now... I will end up losing frozen foods again... because its currently not working. My freezer is now only 3 months old. This is unbelievable to me. I based my decision on what my appliance company said about their refrigerator/freezer and sadly, I am hugely disappointed. I have never, ever had an experience this awful. As a matter of fact, I have never, ever written a complaint. Unfortunately, I had to write my experience to make sure the next buyer was savvy enough to find these reviews helpful with their next decision. I will never ever buy a product that has the name Electrolux on it after this experience.

When you set the oven to a pre-heat setting the oven heats up to that temperature but it doesnt maintain that temp and the temp begins to fall. Called Electrolux and they recommended a repair company and they came. They replaced the heat sensor for over $200.00 in repairs. No fix. Then called another company on our own and he replaced the motherboard, still no fix. My wifes first cousin (with my help) took the oven out of the cabinet and he found that the heating element at the bottom of the oven burnt up. Replaced that heating element and now the oven works just fine. Electrolux wanted to sell me an extended warranty on the oven for $500.00, not solving the problem. I purchased a wave touch washer and dryer in december 2008. We have had to have both the washer and dryer parts replaced many times on both. The computer boards went bad on the washer. It still leaks down the front and the door does not open properly. To get these fixed is several $$. We were just told that our dryer now needs a new motor costing around $350. I recommend to anyone else that they dont purchase electrolux products. It is a foreign brand and parts are a lot more money. A fact that I overlooked when buying. We are considering cutting our losses and purchasing a whole new set instead of continuing to pour more money into these units. What a huge disappointment. I bought an expensive Electrolux refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher in 2012. So far I have required repairs on the dishwasher (control panel went dead); stove (would not self clean) and the refrigerator has broken plastic that holds up the bins; very hard to remove drawers and put back in for cleaning. The bin handles you pull out are broken on at least 3 drawers. I bought these online thinking if I paid a very high price I would get quality - WRONG. I believe the cheap builders appliances would have been better than the Electrolux fix and repair too often.

We purchased Electrolux dishwasher, electric range, and fridge; have had for 4 years. First the ice maker handle broke. I ordered one from Electrolux thinking it was out of warranty. Later I found we had purchased extended warranty. By this time, the digital display on the range was not working so we called for service repair. We purchased from Lowes so their service company was A&E. They came, looked at the stove, and said they ordered a control module which I disagreed with. I said it needed the clock display module, but who was I to argue because I am not an appliance repair person, but I am a General Motors and Subaru master technician. I discussed with the service person that I had already paid for and installed a new ice maker control module not realizing it was still under warranty. So I proposed to him, “You order me a new ice module as I still have the old broken one to turn in under warranty. You can tell your company you replaced it. If you like, just leave the new module with me because if it’s broken this soon it’s bound to break again.” So the parts come and so does a different repair person. He gives me the ice module and then shows me the control board which I tell him is not the right part, but he says he is going to install it anyway. He tells me he has never worked on an Electrolux. To make long story short, he broke my cook top, had to order a new cook top, and he also ordered the clock module that I knew was the problem. They never did get the cook top mounted correctly and now my icemaker is broken again. The water and ice will not shut off, so I get the new ice module and install it...It’s junk right out of the box. I called Electrolux; they could care less...DO NOT BUY THESE APPLIANCES.

This product was purchased in December 2006 and installed in our home in April 2007 after our home remodel was completed. When we purchased this product, it came to our home from Home Depot in a box. However, after only 4 years, the freezer has stopped working. And, when the repair man came to check the product, he pointed out to us that the product had welder soot marks around the left back bottom and parts had been refurbished inside the unit. In short, the product was not a new product when we purchased it from Home Depot in 2006.When we contacted Home Depot about this matter, the appliance manager was very concerned and stated that they will be checking all products from Frigidaire for refurbished soot marks. He also stated that the freezer should not have stopped working after just a short length of time.As a result, we have contacted our attorney. Our attorney explained that his office will be contacting the FDA and also the Federal Consumer Affairs Office in Washington and request a full investigation into this matter. It is suspected that Frigidaire is selling refurbished products; and 100s of other consumers may have been scammed as well. The product arrived at my home from Home Depot in the manufacturers box and sold to us as a new product. However, the repair annalist informed us on 3 November 2011 that the product was refurbished not new!We called Frigidaire Customer Care Center today at 1-980-236-2000 and talked to a representative who had an extremely illiterate tone over the phone. In short, he basically told us to go to hell.1000s are being scammed by Electrolux Corp (Frigidaire distributor). Please investigate! Thank you.

We purchased a top of the line Electrolux gas range in January. Our intention was to have it installed at our cottage in May, (which we did do with a licensed service company). Since it was installed we have had problems with the double burner. It turns on with a small explosion and when it does light, it does not have flame all around the burner. The service man attempted to repair the problem but gave up and told us to contact Electrolux to have one of their warranty approved service companies to look at this range. I called Electrolux and received the names of three service companies. One only worked on electric ranges, one stopped doing warranty work the week previous, and the other one refused to travel to my location as we live out of the town limits. When I called Electrolux back, they advised me to find a service man that would work on our unit and have them complete the repairs and send them a copy of the bill and they would then forward a cheque to cover all of the repairs costs. I contacted my original service man and he agreed to take another look at the problem. Which he did. He ascertained that there is a manufacturing defect with that burner. I have now been on the phone for 35 minutes listening to the message of how important my call is to them. My impression so far? They may stand behind their product, but only to wave goodbye as it leaves the factory. This is the last Electrolux appliance I will EVER buy!

Client purchased Microwave range hood model number (ME16H702SES) Serial number (078N7WTJ301913R) approximately 11/25/2015. After approximately 20 hours of use over the period of a year or so the keyboard on the door was nonresponsive. Flashed 12:00 repeatedly but touchpad would not respond. Electrolux Frigidaire, through their automated response system, supplied the name of a appliance repair company, Best Aid Appliances Service (760-494-6444). We contacted Best Aid Appliances on 1/15/2016. According to the receipt I have. They said they would let us know when somebody will be able to come out and inspect the microwave. A few weeks went by and we agreed on a appointment. They said they are free would be $150. And we had to charge us $75 for a diagnosis fee and $75 upon the repair of the microwave. Over the course of a month or so they arrived three times. Each time they were sent a defective part. After the third time they said they would order a new one and they would contact us in two weeks. We never heard from them. We called Frigidaire. They apologized and referred us to another appliance repair company. This company was Michaels Appliance Corporation. Phone number 818-609-0912. Michaels Appliance Repair tech came over. He was very professional and a well informed gentleman. He made three visits, each time Electrolux Frigidaire concessions sent him a defective part. He suggested I need to contact Electrolux Frigidaire and inform them about once again a defective part. He asked me to contact him when Electrolux Frigidaire sent me a new door. The new door arrived. The gentleman came back. We installed the door and once again the touch controls for a non-responsive. Once again we received a defective product or part. After speaking on the phone with Frigidaire Electrolux tech-support they informed me that the product now is out of warranty and they would not take responsibility for any defective parts they sent me prior and they could no longer assist me with the repair of their product. I explained, You have been sending me defective parts for nine months. So we have a product we paid $602 for plus a $75 diagnostic fee and still we do not have a functioning product???

Purchased Electrolux washer/dryer from Home Depot late 2017 (product received in Nov. 2017). Issues started soon after purchase with the dryer, it was clogging with lint in the blower motor. Not even sure how this was happening, since these are lint making machines. Service came out and had no options on how to prevent this from occurring. Again other than to contact servicing and have them clean it out. Basically they take the machine apart to do this, not a job for ordinary folk. After speaking with Electrolux, and informing them of this continuing issue. Their response is to continue calling for warranty/servicing. The big question was what if this issue persists beyond the one year manufacturing warranty, Electrolux response... “purchase extended warranty”. Are you kidding me!!! That’s when I contacted Home Depot head office. Their response to this issue was much of the same. I can’t believe either one of these entities could live up to their product (Electrolux) or service (Home Depot). This issue should resolved by a replacement or a full refund.Things to keep in mind, these service requests take up time during working hours cause warranty company doesn’t work after hours or weekends. So we have to take time off work each and every time a service is requested. Other option is to cut my losses and dump these machine and buy new ones. Even after a year of ownership. Extremely disappointed with both Electrolux and Home Depot Canada.

Defective ei27bs 26js3 electrolux refrigerator: We bought a almost $2,500.- refrigerator November 2012. Within the first year the ice maker broke twice. Now in October 2015 the ice maker is broken again. All they did is offer me $719.73, extended 2 year warranty. That is a joke, since they know theyre selling a defective frige because many people have that ice maker problem. The service techs pointed that out when they replaced the ice maker. Electrolux is selling a defective frige and they should be stopped doing so.

We got all Electrolux appliances for our new house. First the washer door came broken so it wouldnt close. They almost refused to fix it because I called them 2 months after it was delivered. We moved in after 3 months of closing the house because our appliances took so long to come and they all came on different days and then installing them took time. Anyway they fixed the door and then it started leaking causing water damaged down to the main floor. This was within 1 year. The stoves motherboard is not working anymore so we cant make use of the oven. The stove top is gas so at least that works. This happened within a year as well but we called one day after the 1 yr warranty expired so of course they wont fix it. Now 2 yrs later the otr is not working. Theres no power in it. Dont know what happened. Basically, dont buy electrolux!

We purchased new front loading washer and dryer this winter for our new home. 6 months of use and the washer stopped draining. Warranty service tech came out and found the drain line plugged deep inside the machine. To fix he had to remove the top and front of the machine to get to a plastic inline bowl that he said is prone to becoming plugged. We have a lab and he said we need to shake out everything before washing as the dogs hair will clog the machine. This repair is not for the amateur and if it wasn’t under warranty it would have been about $240. Can’t believe the poor design and difficult accessibility to do routine cleaning. Our dog is 8 years old and we’ve never had a problem like this. Will think twice about buying another one when the time comes.

I purchased a washer and dryer combo about a year ago that came with a $100 visa card rebate. I submitted the rebate application that day. I waited for months but got nothing in the mail. I decided to call back to see what was going on and it turns out that the rebate was declined because my zip code was missing from the invoice from the store, yet I entered it on the application. All the other information was identical. They state that I was notified via email but never received anything regarding it. Electrolux refused to resend the $100 gift card when I contacted customer support. I see similar rebates currently advertised on their products so I dont see why they cant just resend the gift card.

When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1
When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1/13/16 through 1/3/17 - a period of less than 1 year. During this period, service technicians were at our house 13 times! In addition to that time, we also spent HUNDREDS of hours on the phone with Electrolux, Frigidaire and appliance repair companies. We purchased from Sears a Frigidaire standalone freezer. The freezer was less than 1 year old when problems started which didnt bode well for the future so we purchased a 3-year extended warranty from Electrolux which handles the warranties for Frigidaire. The freezer continually developed icicles inside the door, the drain continued to freeze and condensation had nowhere to go, so thick sheets of ice then formed and built up on the bottom of the freezer to the extent that the slide-out drawer was frozen solid and could not be utilized until the frost-free freezer was defrosted to release the drawer. This required that we find a place for all of the food that was in the freezer while it defrosted. At one point the freezer stopped (while we were out of town) and we came home to more than $1,000 of food loss and a smell that still is not completely gone. Of course, that loss was not covered by Electrolux or Frigidaire. The extended warranty covers replacement of the appliance as a lemon if a part fails at least 3 times AND a repair tech says it cant be fixed. Electrolux was able to string us along for more than a year because each time a tech came out for the SAME PROBLEM, they tried to fix it by replacing a different PART and the lemon protection only applies if the SAME PART fails 3 times. (Several parts were replaced 2 times.) So they kept replacing different parts to fix the same problem and none of it worked. The first repair company finally told Electrolux, they couldnt correct the problem and were not going to keep coming out, so Electrolux assigned another company to pursue the problem. That was equally unsuccessful so they tried a third repair company. That third company also told Electrolux the freezer was not able to be fixed. Most service calls required multiple visits because the tech would come out, decide what part needed to be replaced but NEVER had the part in their vehicle so they had to go back and the part had to be ordered requiring another visit for the same service call. The parts almost never came in when expected and the repair companies rarely called to say the parts were in - so we always had to do the follow-up. Several times a single service call required 3, 4 and once even 5 trips to our house because the tech needed a different part, or there were supposed to be 2 parts but the tech showed up with only one, etc. Each trip required us to be at home and therefore we had to arrange our schedules to accommodate the technician. And we had to be available for a minimum of 4 hours because they only give you a window during which a tech will arrive and it was not unusual that the tech was running behind and wouldnt make it during the 4 hour window. On one occasion, the appointment was supposed to be between 8:00 and 12:00 and the tech finally showed up at 7:30 pm - almost 12 hours after the start of the 4-hour window. We eventually contacted state agencies, which then contacted Electrolux/Frigidaire on our behalf. Electrolux made the following offer: For a delivery/removal charge of $150, they would replace the lemon freezer with the EXACT SAME MODEL and, OUR WARRANTY WAS NOT VALID FOR THE NEW FREEZER even though there were still 2 years on the warranty we had already purchased. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM SEARS. We will never purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance. Choose your appliance carefully!

I called Electrolux (866-449-4200) for the repair of the oven I bought a year and a half ago. It took over a month for them to send over a repair company, and the repair company they sent over was Dependable Appliance Service, 718-966-6500. The service was not dependable at all. They scheduled an appointment with a no show. After researching the company, it scores an F on BBB. I called Electrolux Customer Service back, and I got the runaround. I even emailed the Head of Major Appliances, North America and Keith McLoughlin (President and CEO), and I got no responses. Now it has been over a month and my issue is not resolved, and tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I have no oven to make my Thanksgiving dinner.

They stonewall, and will not do anything; wont replace, nor will they authorize repair. We have been without a washer for over a week since repair estimate was submitted, by their repairman. Have lost all confidence in their product and their support. Dishwasher has stopped working 3 times and all the program lights flash. Turning the power off for a day will reset the control panel for awhile. Am sure that wont work forever. Electrolux knows their ice maker design is bad. How many upgrade kits does it take to figure that out? The repair man that Elextrolux sends is never on time. Today he was going to be here between 10:00 and 2:00, arrived at 4:30. Products and service are terrible. When you contact Electrolux for warranty service, they ask you to take a survey and give ratings. If you checked the box to have Electrolux contact you, dont wait too long, they wont be calling. We purchased an Electrolux French door refrigerator five years ago. It is now dead, as a problem with the ice maker caused the back of the refrigerator to completely rust out. I researched the issue and saw that this has happened dozens or hundreds of times with Electrolux refrigerators. I tried to get some satisfaction from the CEO, Alan Shaw, but he would not take my call, hiding behind a woman named Rita. They did offer me a 25% rebate on a new Electrolux product, but I would think since it is a known problem, and the unit only lasted 5 years, I would get a rebate of 65-75%. I was shocked when Rita told me that Electrolux refrigerators only last for 5-7 years. I don’t think I have ever had a refrigerator last less than 20 years. I have a new slogan for Electrolux - “buy an Electrolux - they only last 1/2 as long as the competition. Obviously, I will never buy another Electrolux product and I would encourage you to avoid them at all costs. They have no interest in customer satisfaction.

All my Electrolux appliances broke down. The dryer quit and had to replace the motherboard. The microwave broke and replaced it with another over the range microwave and the handle broke within few months. Then last week my Electrolux dishwasher caught fire. It was the motor that caught fire and spread to the insulation. The fire department came and put out the fire and whole house was damaged with smoke. Insurance is handling the claim and I had to pay the $1000 deductible and the dishwasher is not covered by the insurance. It was a loss close to 10 grand. Electrolux wasnt even ready to pay someone to come and do an inspection and I had to pay an authorized repairman to come and submit the report to Electrolux. He is coming tomorrow to do the inspection. I am really frustrated with Electrolux appliances and their accountability.

Two weeks later the tech came with the second one that also didnt work. One month on a new refrigerator and no ice. Since then, an ice maker service call repair every six months. Company takes no ownership of their products performance and customer service and their supervisor spend their time trying to sell a $300 per year service contract. I have 5 Viking and 2 Samsung appliances in the kitchen purchased at the same time. One problem with exhaust fan, repaired promptly. Electrolux is an awful company, making awful products, and treating their customers badly.

My Electrolux refrigerator came with my new builders home - I wanted GE Profile, but settled for Electrolux. The refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. The freezer side and the water dispenser, have been worked on many times. The freezer freezes up with crystals, water continues to drip from the dispenser and they have repaired it four (4) times without success. I have asked for a more seasoned professional to come and handle the repair however I just keep getting the same old, same old person who always comes (yes, the one who put the door heater in upside down!!!). Be cautious when you are considering purchasing an Electrolux product - GE Profile cant be beat, even though it might cost a little more. The Electrolux customer service treats people like they are the judge and we are the condemned. Their service times is ancient - 8AM-5PM of all things. Who does that anymore??? Ive spend five days home waiting for them and Im tired of it now. I urge you to look around, check on the customer service, read reviews, do your homework before purchasing.

I purchased the wave touch dishwasher ($1200.), the microwave ($600.), and the French door ice maker fridge ($2,999.) since 2009. The dishwasher was replace immediately for leaking. Now it makes a noise while running, where before you never heard it run. We have mold that builds up it, we have to take it apart, use brushes to clean the racks. I think that should be a liability for knowing my dishes are being washed with mold build-up. Disgusting. The ice maker has been replaced so many times I gave up counting. Sad part we heard the same thing, yes, we know that is a malfunction in the design of the ice maker. The ice clumps to the front of the bin, starts making a thumping noise & I have to empty so it will make new ice. Thank goodness we purchased the extended 4 yr warranty. The microwave ($600.) the latch that closes the door broke, so you cant use the thing & we had to tape it shut to keep the door from staying open. My daughter purchased their oven ($1200.) & the electronic board went out on it. Thank goodness they purchased the extended warranty. I would never tell my worst enemy to purchase any Electrolux appliance. I insisted on this product & have been unhappy since. We purchased them before retiring (knowing we would be on a limited income), hoping we would be good for at least 20 yrs, so much for that with these products. Please never buy any of their appliances, you will regret it.

Now, in May, I’m still waiting for a fan motor assembly to resolve a fan noise that sounds like a bass boat motor when oven hits 420 degrees. I understand COVID excuses, but you sold this oven 6 months into the pandemic. Why do you make and sell new products, but claim you can’t service what you are selling? We recently purchased an Electrolux Oven. The unit came highly recommend on several sites online. The unit arrived with damage, including a defective control panel. Electrolux was initially very friendly and professed a desire to do whatever was needed to fix the unit. In the end, they admitted that they had no parts for the oven and would have to manufacture some. It would take at least a month. They then discussed replacing the oven, but decided it needed to be repaired at least once. Of course there were no parts to repair it. In the end, they did nothing. So we bought another oven. We purchased an Electrolux French Door refrigerator, Dual In-Wall Oven, Overhead Microwave, and Dishwasher. The first to fail was the refrigerator, which could not make ice. Then the dual in-wall oven board failed, then the Microwave display, and finally the dishwasher which wouldnt clean dishes properly or dry them. The refrigerator ice maker failed twice more, the microwave a second time (we replaced it with GE), and the dishwasher wont clean and dry today despite using the highest clean and heated dry settings. Some of these were fixed under warranty, others under an extended warranty.I will never buy another Electrolux or Frigidaire product, and every friend, relative, neighbor, and coworker has heard my story. If Im in the appliance department of a store that carries Electrolux or Frigidaire, I watch for anyone seeming interested in the brand and warn them, urging them to look at reviews and complaints online. I will continue to do this anytime and anywhere I find anyone considering new appliances. Ive had good luck all my life with products and am typically a fairly positive person, but this was the most egregious experience. I guess Ive become a reverse evangelist for the brand.

I had a GE refrigerator for 21 years. For my 50th birthday, I asked for an Electrolux refrigerator (no comments on this please). What a mistake. It is less than 5 years old and I have spent almost $2,000 on repairs. Yep, learned my lesson on extended warranties. The water line has not worked for almost 6 months. The recommended repair company told me to open the freezer door. Wow, thats impressive. The clip on one of my sliding drawers cracked last week. I was on hold for 20 minutes. Gave up and ordered what I thought was the right part online for $15 dollars. This little plastic part is about 1 in diameter. Guess what? Didnt fit. I spent one hour on the phone today trying to order the correct part after I finally reached a supervisor. Seems you cant order the clip alone. It comes with the slider but no directions on how to install. So how much would a repairman cost? What a joke. Never, ever again. The worst customer service ever.

It scares me so bad I wont use it and I only tried it once! I must say though, I do like all of the different setting it has! The microwave and stove have a confection oven in them! We recently moved into a 4 year old home with 7 Electrolux appliances. In the short time we have been using these fairly new appliances, we have come to realize that 3 of them are in major need of repair. The home we purchased is in impeccable shape and well-cared for so I can only assume these appliances were well-cared for as well.Probably 1: Dishwasher. When running the dishwasher the soap compartment always had a large chunk of soap left in it. The dishes felt like there was a residue left on them. (Repair bill $210). Problem 2: Second dishwasher. When we put a rinse aid in the the appropriate compartment I believe it all came out during the next few wash. It should have been released during the next 155 washes. This left all my dishes with a film that could only be removed by soaking everything in vinegar. It could not be washed off with dish soap.Problem 3: Wall Oven. It takes about 25 min to get up to 350 degrees. Once it does it cannot hold at that temperature. The temp gauge will read that the oven is at the set temp but the thermometer I placed inside will read much lower. If I push cancel and set my oven to preheat, the temp gauge will then realize it is not up to temp and start preheating. (When cooking something as simple as cupcakes I have to continually reset the oven so that it will stay at a constant temperature.)I called Electrolux. Their only recommendation is to call a repair service for each appliance. They will not offer me any kind warranty even though these appliances are only 4 years old. I was told they are man made and sometimes things break. Sure I understand that but when 3 out of our 7 are broken in the first 4 years of use I believe that is an Electrolux quality problem and not just a fluke.

Purchased brand new front load ElFLS60LTI Electrolux washer and dryer July 2015. Washer leaking from underneath and called service repair company. Back metal wheel with rubber belt had continually been cutting away into the back of the drum and carved out a hole where water leaked out. There was plenty of shredded strips of the rubber belt at bottom of the unit due to half of the belt eroding away as it was carved into the back of drum with the metal wheel. Not worth money to repair. I took photos and called Electrolux customer service and asked for a discount toward a new washer or even a used washer since this one was in use for only 2.5 years. The answer was NO. They suggested I shop around for deals. They did offer me 50% off any parts. Nothing toward labor. So I might as well buy a new washing machine. How about offering me 50% off a washer since this clearly was a defect. Anyway, I will never purchase an Electrolux product again.

I bought Electrolux because I believed you to be upfront and honest and to stand behind your product and most of all to do the right thing. I couldnt be more wrong. Had a Dishwasher and Microwave go out on me over the holidays. I seem to be burning out dishwashers at an alarming rate, the computer goes bad or motor goes out, leaks, not having good luck. So getting away from Kitchen Aid and Whirlpool and seeing the problems the new Samsung was having (people pushing chairs up against the door to keep it closed) I decided to go with this dishwasher as it was rated number one on some testing something on another site. They glorified the thing as god's gift to the dishwasher community, so okay. Ordered from Lowes, took it home and installed it. The inside is a little smaller than my last Kitchen Aid so that takes some getting used to as I like to stick car size things inside, huge pots for making spaghetti for 20 people like five gallon stuff, doesn't fit. Regular home, will not have a problem with this dishwasher, I over do it. It cleans better than any of the dishwashers I have had in the past. zed Glasses come out cleaner or more clear, well everything you can see it, I am surprised. Drying kinda sucks. I had turned off my water softener to fill fish tanks and if you use hard water, it does not dry the dishes very well. Turned on the softener, use Jet Dry and it does okay sometimes I got to shake a few things to get them dry when I take it out. The controls is something else I don't like. Press the start button and nothing indicates you made it happen. However if you put your ear to it, it makes a little beep beep sound, very faint. Then you close it and does a little faint song as to say its going and you know its going. For the amount of money I paid for this dishwasher and how well it cleans, I am willing to overlook the small things and I don't mind drying one or two things by hand, but others might see it differently. I like it and its doing good, so 5 stars. One more thing, I do BBQ and no other dishwasher can get some of the meat pans clean. I usually wash them in the dishwasher just to make it easier to do it by hand. This dishwasher actually cleans the pans first time out. Makes me wonder how long my dishes are going to last getting blasted clean like that, but I like the less work that is involved.

Four year old Electrolux French door refrigerator/freezer model #EI28BS65XS
Four year old Electrolux French door refrigerator/freezer model #EI28BS65XS6 is sweating and rusting on the rear panel, mainly around the upper right hand corner behind the ice maker. I purchased a Rear Panel Kit (part #5303918657) for $199.98 + tax from Electrolux, who stated in an email to me that this ...kit is the only fix for this issue. Unfortunately, the kit includes a huge, thick, black pad that covers the entire rear panel of the refrigerator except for the vented area at the bottom. The water lines to the ice maker have to run over the pad.Unfortunately, the refrigerator will no longer fit in its customer enclosure, which Electrolux has informed me is my problem, as they will not be able to meet any requests for a replacement model, as the warranty for your current model has expired... I am guessing that Electrolux forgot to put insulation in the rear of the refrigerator. They apparently have not notified their customers of the issue either, as I only learned of the problem when I pulled the refrigerator out to clean it. (The ice dispenser quit long ago as well, but thats another story.)

Purchased a dishwasher for a summer home and it began leaking after a few washes. Because winter came and we didnt use the dishwasher the warranty was up. During each wash water poured over the floor. Had a drain pump fixed for over $400. Customer service was horrible. Now after two years it is doing it again. Another $400. Do not buy Electrolux appliances.

New 10/2014 Have had issues with ice maker since new. Many calls to Electrolux at which I had to take numerous hours off work. Several different companies have been sent to correct problem at which it has NOT been fixed. Problem still continues and now is making noise on and off. Went before Electrolux board for replacement and was denied due to the fact the service people they use did not call from the house so to them there was not enough evidence. Duuuggghhh! Now, you know they have records of my calls and the people they sent out!! I was told by one Electrolux person that I need to have repairman call them from my house. Is that my responsibility? NO. One repair guy said, Nah no need for me to do that! I do not think it is my place to tell them anything! One repair guy told me that it was as good as it would ever be. It has always put out crushed ice from the cubed slot. To me cubed is cubed and crushed is crushed. NEVER had this issue with my other fridge. I have done tons of research and they have major issues with their ice makers, period! Monday I took off work again to have the repair guy show up and the order that had been called in (by a manager) said I was out of warranty and to charge me. Sooo, he had to leave and now we are waiting again... another day off work for yet another company to come next week! Oh yeah, and by the way they did not get anyone out after the Monday incident, I had to again take my time to call them. This is completely ridiculous and uncalled for! I really want my money back because this is fridge 5, all ice makers with way too many issues, unfixable! All within the first year! I could go on and on but this is just the tip off the iceberg. Today they told me I had to call the service guy to set my time but they had already give them a dispatch number. Called and guess what no #. Sooo again I had to call again! I think I need to be on their payroll!
